For Zee, who told a crowd of rich people attending an Obama Fundraiser last night, “Democracy is not something I intend to ‘Just get over.’”
Zee went all by herself to Boston to hold a homemade sign on the sidewalk outside Barack Obama’s fundraiser last night. Her sign was yellow with black lettering. It read “Selected Not Elected.” After holding her sign for half an hour or so she was accosted by a young man who accused her of harassment of the well-heeled Bostonians tottering into the party.
“He thought it would be cute to call me Puta. After that, these young guys are thinking ha-ha-ha this one guy is calling her an idiot so we can gang up on this lone woman and that’s when the other kids moved in and just surrounded. They grabbed my sign and tore it up and threw it in the street. They called me racist, whore, and bitch.
This old, muscled, tatooed veteran with a cane came to my rescue. He broke up the mob and faced them down. He said, ‘How old are you?’ to the young guys attacking me. ‘You don’t know anything. Don’t tell me you know anything!’ He hobbled off after the young men dispersed.
This other man came up to me and said, ‘Thanks for making a spectacle of yourself. Thanks for being a model of grace and modesty.’ He was pretending to be nice.
Afterward, there was this young guy, and he came up to me and put his arm around me and just said ‘Thank you.’ He was just someone who was watching. I said, ‘You’re going to make me cry. And he said, ‘No, I’m serious. THANK YOU’”

So if you fancy yourself the Democrats’ Karl Rove — an unbeatable master of politics and strategy, how come the Grand Tour was such a flop for your guy? Sinking in blue swing states, tanking in red states. . . Most Americans believe the Ego Trip, I mean World Tour, hurts or doesn’t help his chances in November. Your guy can’t even make a dent against an old guy who hasn’t even begun to campaign against you in earnest. You’re losing during the warm-up? Oops. Groan.

The debut of our radio show broke records for numbers listening. Filming began on the Puma PAC documentary. Local actions organized around the land by mamapuma and her tireless team of regional moderators. Trish and the Crackest Team of Puma PAC Investigators developing THE most comprehensive database of contact information imaginable. MP helping dozens of new members start blogging and keeping our forums civilized and focused at ALL hours (well maybe not ALL hours!). A lonely vigil on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. Today is our one month birthday. It was Tuesday evening, June 3, when I pressed “publish” on the first blog post and Puma PAC was born. Overnight I watched as 35,000 people clicked on the post. Since then we’ve had 600,000 visitors, thousands of members officially join us, and thousands of women and men from around the country (and the world) flood our mailboxes and comment threads with offers to help.
In our first month we have sent THOUSANDS of letters to the DNC, the Obama Campaign, and elected officials around the country. We have handed out flyers, brought home-made signs to Unity, New Hampshire, and spread our message like wild-fire on national and local TV. We have faxed, emailed, and called our leaders on the phone to give them one, unequivocal message: We are the VOTERS. This is OUR party. Stop dividing us; start leading us; and RESPECT THE VOICE OF THE VOTERS.
Here’s the lesson the DNC and the Obama campaign have taken away from our phenomenally successful efforts in our FIRST 30 days: “Holy smokes, Howard! They’re going to swing this election! What are we going to doooo?!!”
This ever-hardening conviction is the reason the trolls are up in arms. It’s why Obama dragged Hillary to Unity NH for the Clown Show. It’s why the Bots have been furiously trying to shut down blogs, email accounts, and web pages; scurrilously purging and attacking political dissenters like angry, desperate rats. It’s why the less shady and slimy bloggers like Amanda Marcotte and Huffington Post have launched a personal humiliation and ridicule campaign against people like Riverdaughter, Will Bower, Diane Montavoulos, Paula Abeles, and me.
In the next month we have the opportunity for thousands more to join us. As tensions and hopes rise in the run-up to the August convention there will be confusion, anger, and a growing will to ACTION in the hearts of millions of Democrats around the country who are astonished at how cynically, hypocritically, and flat-out cravenly the DNC and the Obama campaign have tried to play us.
Race-baiting? Check. Class-warfare? Check. Voter suppression? Check. Sexism and misogyny? Check. Voting irregularities? Check. Back room deals? Check. Pandering and purging? Check. Disenfranchisement? Check.
The only entry in the Karl Rove playbook that David Axelrod and Barack Obama have not yet used (but hold onto your hats, folks! It’s a comin’) is outright STEALING of the election.
Our only protection against the Obama Movement’s plan to force this election using any means possible is to MAKE IT TOO HARD TO STEAL. We must stay united in our Protest of the Election or they will seize their opportunity to tip the scales once again. Remember, this is Chicago-style politics. Win at any cost is the mantra. Small “irregularities” that are hard to trace and nearly impossible to prove are the means. In a CLOSE ELECTION they will PLAY THEIR ACE CARD.
If you don’t believe David Axelrod and Barack Obama don’t have both the intention and the means to steal a close election, you haven’t been paying attention. You did watch the elections of 2000 and 2004, right? You do remember that the only reason the Republicans couldn’t steal the 2006 midterms is because for once, for once!, the damn thing was NOT too close to steal. For the first time in a VERY LONG time, the Democratic Party was NOT divided. We were united. We attracted fed-up Republicans. Swing voters supported our candidates by the millions.
And we swept into Congress, state capitols, and Governors’ mansions around the country.
We were UNITED.
The fact that the inept leadership of the DNC had less influence in the individual state elections also helped.
The only way the Democratic Party wins elections is when its coalition members are UNITED.
The Obama campaign DIVIDED the party and they and their Movement Followers comfort themselves with the Hope that they have won the crown.
Every day the realization becomes clearer to them that have lost and that they will lose.
Barack Obama agreed to David Axelrod’s plan to win the battle and lose the war: to ruthlessly split the party in two in order to SEIZE the nomination from the person who had won the hearts and the VOTES of more Democrats in the history of primary campaigns.

Hundreds of people ask us if we’re going to Denver. Are we going to march on the convention; demand that Hillary’s delegates are allowed to vote; demand that Hillary Clinton be allowed to deliver a free and honest speech.
Are we going to Denver? You bet your ass we’re going to Denver.
I don’t care if there are only 50 middle-aged women like me standing in the rain with fanny packs and homemade signs. I don’t care if the inept, elitist clowns who have the audacity to believe they in any way deserve to be called leaders continue to pretend to ignore us; continue to attack us like dogs; continue to undermine, ridicule, bully, and harass us.
Are we going to Denver? Will we be there to witness the final act in the Shakespearean tragedy that Axelrod, Obama, and Dean have staged for us against our will and without our permission?

P.U.M.A. PAC Responds To Malicious Harassment and First Amendment Interference by Obama Supporters
Boston, MA – July 1, 2008
P.U.M.A. PAC, the Voice of the Voters in the Democratic Party, has been the victim of relentless, targeted internet attacks by Senator Obama’s supporters.In an attempt to silence our voices, we have been the target of a focused campaign of internet harassment, vandalism, slander and technological tampering.
On June 25, 2008, a multitude of false ‘spam blog’ reports, all occurring within one night, triggered Google to LOCK DOWN our Blogspot.com site.We still have not been able to access the blog or update our members.It has now been six days that we have had NO ACCESS to our private forum. Our blog is a private forum in which we exercise our First Amendment right to free speech.We use freely distributed software which is available to everyone, and pay the cost of web-hosting to a third-party internet service provider. We know by the email addresses and ISP addresses that these attacks were coordinated and carried out by Senator Obama’s supporters. It is a violation of our civil rights for Senator Obama’s supporters to try to prevent us from making public political statements in private forums – forums for which we pay significant costs.
Since June 13, our entry in Wikipedia has been the focus of repeated malicious attacks by Senator Obama’s supporters, who continue to add racist, sexist, and blatantly untrue statements, with the intent of slandering our reputation and infringing on our right to make political statements. Our entry has been repeatedly deleted against our will and in spite of our efforts to protect it. We know by the email addresses and ISP addresses that these attacks were coordinated and carried out by Senator Obama’s supporters. We have asked Wikipedia to investigate this obvious violation of its policies. Wikipedia has been less than helpful.

HOUND DOGS ARE BRED TO HUNT
I don’t think the Obama Movement is very happy with us today. Remember, these guys are relentless, unprincipled, and implacable. We are facing an enormous task. The trolling, the intimidation, the bullying, and the harassing IS NOT GOING TO STOP. Today in the parking lot of my local grocery store I was harassed and insulted by a condescending blowhard who had absolutely NO QUALMS about yelling at me in public when I was alone with my 7 year old.
