Republicans have caught the Democrats in a midnight “stimulus” power play that seeks to cut Republican conferees out of the House-Senate negotiations to resolve a final version of the Obama “stimulus” package. Staff members from the offices of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Ca.) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) met last night to put together the “stimulus” conference report.
They intend to attempt to shove this $1.3 trillion spending bill through in the dead of the night without Republican input so floor action can take place in both chambers on Thursday.
I spoke with House Republican Conference Chairman Mike Pence (R-Ind.) moments ago about this latest version of Democratic “bipartisanship.” Pence told me, “I think the American people deserve to know that legislation that would comprise an amount equal to the entire discretionary budget of the United States of America is being crafted without a single House Republican in the room.”

well, as long as we’re all cozy by the fire I’ll tell you all about my discussion with the librarian at my library today.
I got it all set up for the library to have a display for women’s month in March.
I talked to the head librarian and she said she didn’t know what the display was going to be for March; she has someone assigned to displays. So I told her I expected it to be about women. She said she supposed it could be. I reiterated that what I had said wasn’t a hope it was an expectation. And that I would give her my name and number and I would come back and help the person set up the display. I also told her that I would provide a list of books for the display.
The display at our city library for March is now on Women writers and Women. I will be going to the action center to get a good list of names.

yes they have several new galleries, and the rainforest is relatively new also – they tore out the japanese zen garden (it was my favorite) to make a place for it – it’s a beautiful glass & iron victorian-style hothouse building with extraordinary exotics.

Very weird dream… Sorry about the surgery…
I’m happy about the surgery…. tired of watching what I eat… and being badly surprised by innocent enough looking foods. Luckily my gb isnt infected… that’s teh reason I can put it off until May…that and surgery scheduling availability.
One thing my friend Margaret did teach me was that we can learn a lot about ourselves by analyzing our dreams, because our subconscious has the FREEDOM to react freely to things that we are experiencing in your daily lives.
