If you’re using Google Reader, don’t forget to subscribe to the new feed. And the comments too, although Google reader seems to have a limit on the number of comments it passes through, especially on the older posts.
Google reader is great for peeking at Pumas at work if you don’t want to leave an electronic trail of your browsing history. Although I did take the leap and show our computer tech my reader with the Puma sites–he’s definitely not a Obot!!! He was mesmerized by the pictures and videos.

In the “never-ending” drama that is known as the 2008 Presidential election, there is an appearance that the decision issued yesterday by the Honorable Judge R. Barclay Surrick in the matter of Berg v. Obama might have been SENT to the judge just a short time BEFORE he released the decision.
A fax copy of the decision from Judge Surrick was faxed to Mr. Berg from the Judge’s Chambers, pages 1-36, beginning at 18:09 October 24, 2008, and that is clearly notated by the receiving fax, starting at page 01/36. Page 36/36 is marked 18:16 October 24, 2008. What is interesting is not at the TOP of the fax pages; it is at the bottom.

Sometimes you can get problems to go away by clearing your cache and cookies.
hey everyone. if you use AOL or Netscape you probably have to “clear your cache” or “clear your cookies” in order to allow the new site to load.
Southjerseypuma uses AOL and this worked for her. She’s now over commenting at http://www.pumapac.org

Hey I have a friend in place high up at Google who said they could loose their job for revealing this…(so I shant be canting any names) suffice it to say that there is a renegade element within Google that management is trying to figure out where it is coming from…..my friend is an Obot, but still deeply disturbed as she said they had an onslaught of complaints about postings….missing….being mysteriously deleted, ad camps etc…and they are not able yet able to figure out what part of the organization it is coming through….(umm…It would be a good place to start?)… anyway the site looks great! I have been trying all day to get to the new blog. I have AOL and kept being sent to the old blog. Ten minutes ago I cleared temp files, cookies, and history…but it didn’t work for me.
Finally, I went to my cable browser connection, COMCAST, input our address…and bingo…I was in the new blog…which is so very, very nice.
Thanks for comments above for reminding me about my cable connection.
For anyone who can’t get to the new blog with AOL…until the problem is fixed…on the Mission Statement page, click on HOME, which takes you to a page talking about a 404 problem. BUT, on the right side of that page it shows Recent Comments and you can click on a member name to get to the blog.
Or…go down further on the page to Recent Posts.
But, I hope to figure out how to get there more simply using AOL.

Interesting tidbit on polls

I was having dinner a night ago with a friend of mine who is a statistician for a well-regarded private polling company. They do some work for Republicans in California, but most of the work they do is for Democrats or Democrat-leaning operations (Unions, etc.). Anyway, her shop was retained to do a few Presidential polls for targetted states on behalf of a union so the union could decide where to spend their ad dollars for the last week. They did Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada and Missouri. After mocking the hell out of the voter id spreads used by Rassmussen, Zogby, etc. (and this is coming from a committed Dem who will be voting for Barry O) she said the results of their polling lead her to believe that McCain will definitely win FL, OH, NC, MO and NV. She says Obama definitely wins New Mexico. She said that Colorado and New Hampshire were absolute dead heats. She said she thinks there is a 55% chance Obama holds on in Pennsylvania and a 75% chance McCain wins Virginia. She absolutely laughed at the public polls showing Obama leading Virginia–and pointed out that all of those polls rely on Dem turnout being +4 and as much as +7, when in 2006, Republicans actually had the advantage by +3. She also pointed out that the numbers for Obama in SWVA look absolutely awful and that McCain is running 10 points better then Allen did in NoVa.
Anyway, her companies conclusion is that the election will come down to Colorado, New Hampshire and the Republican leaning district in Maine, which in her opinion might very well decide the Presidency (apparently the district in Nebraska that Obama thought he might be able to get is now off the table). She said she has very little doubt that the public polling is part of a “concerted voter suppression effort” by the MSM. She said IBD/TIPP was the only outfit doing public polling that was “worth a bucket of warm piss”.
I still can’t get new password. Tried all day yesterday. It won’t E-mail me. I have tried several times.

Go Down to Internet Options
Click on Delete
New Window:
Delete: Files
Cookies
History (if you want)
The best way is from your Computer Screen:
Click on Start
Go up to Programs
Go over to Clean Disk
Window will come up - wait while it searches your computer for junk
Then click Delete on everything checked.
Murphy…It took me two days to figure out why I couldn’t get the new blog. I have AOL and found out I did not have the newest version of AOL. I just finished upgrading (Keyword…Upgrade), and when I tried to transfer from this post to the new Blog…it worked!!!
Usually AOL sends dozens of messages that a new version is available, but I never received any. Actually, there are two new versions to choose from…a simple version and an advanced version for computer savvy people. I chose simple.

I do not want a tax rebate/refund check. We will all be waiting a full year before we get our reduction after we have paid our taxes for 2009. This is beyond absurd. Why can’t John McCain take the reigns and say “Payroll reduction tax, anyone. If you reduce the Payroll tax everyone benefits right away. If you get a $350 check they will use it to go to Obamaland. Finally I can post somewhere. I had no luck on the new site and even tried 2 different passwords to get in and was locked out. In the meantime, I had written letters, did prowls, gave out Freddie’s beautiful flyers. Thank you, Freddie for doing this for all of us. I felt like 007 putting them in shopping carts, dressing rooms, in store flyers, etc. I have seen more McCain signs here in my part of CT the last week. OB signs were up before, since the headquarters is in town and no one fears doing that. However I think there is more support out there. Many have signs supporting the local Republican candidates so I am counting them as McCain/Palin votes. I think people are afraid their homes will be targeted. I am going to vote straight Republican this time. After Dodd being such a jerk and doing zilch for the people, I’m taking no chances with the other CT Democrats. They can all take a hike.

Pumas, murphy is right, we only have a few days left and we need to get out and all over the internet dropping links and making comments about Obama.
We can make a huge difference on the internet. Just go to any blog, website, big news site, local online newspaper sites (esp. swing states), and campaign! Just drop your concerns, and leave links, and just get people curious, and thinking, and hopefully…wondering about O. Throw doubt and throw links and throw your voice out there.

BTW, just have to share with this with you guys….
Last night on my street in Brooklyn, saw a young AA guy dressed as Barack Obama standing in front of a store I was entering, hanging out with a friend of his. As I walked by, he said, “Hey, I’m Barack Obama. Are you voting for me?”
LOL. I said, “NO!” and smiled at him.
He saiid, “WHAT?!!! You’re not?” genuinely shocked.
Well, to make a long story short, we got into a pretty involved discussion about Obama, McCain, the issues, etc. He’d never heard of ACORN, didn’t know what FISA was, didn’t even know what a caucus was, let alone the fraud in TX and elsewhere, etc. etc. thought McCain was Bush lll, loved the idea of “change,” though he had no idea of what “change” Obama had in mind, or any other details about Obama, his policies, his history, etc.
Well, to me the interesting thing was he was open to discussion and he listened very carefully to what I was saying. He didn’t seem 100% convinced to vote for Obama. It is going to be his first time voting.
I said to him, trying to be diplomatic and gentle….”Obama is young, he’s inexperienced. This is a crucial time in our country’s history; there are so many challenges facing the country, internationally, domestically, economically, etc.: it’s not a time to take a chance on someone we know so little about and who’s done so little up to now. He can still run again next time, or in some other election, but right now he’s not ready. We need someone we can trust, that we know, that has a confirmed record of accomplishment, that works with both sides, etc.
The young man was very polite (quite a change for the usual Obama-ite). He asked me my name, told me his, shook my hand and was an all around decent kid. The little conversation we had was very civilized. I hope I swayed him a bit; it definitely seemed he was listening and he was taking his first vote very seriously.
