My cat woke me up early so I am on my way out with flyers and posters.
PUMA!
My cat is up early as well and I have released her to the wilds of the backyard woods. She is playing PUMA today.
We must all stay focused. To keep this metaphor of a puma going, I am reminded that a clever cat such as a puma keeps its eyes on the mission. Prey can slink away if we are distracted.
…or give up.
PUMAs growl “NOBAMA!”
Well I just woke up and see that the Berg suit was dismissed. If any one lives where a BO rally is going on, we need to get there with large signs that say “Show us your birth certificate”.
Time for the people to get in his face. If you go, take a gang with you.
We can also flood his phone lines asking for him to show it. Make calls to the media, papers, etc. We can’t let this drop to the wayside.
It is pathetic. I have no trust in government anymore.
Soon it will be time to ride our horses to Washington, guns ablazing to take back our White House.
Unreal PUff: where did you see this.
God help this Puma Land
I love the picture. How does that song go, Love is
lifting me higher. Oh, yeah!
I would love to go to the Obama rally today, but I would have to go alone and I don’t feel comfortable with that.
I might put flyers on windshields in the parking area, if I thought I could get away with it. We’ll see.
Murphy: From Downstairs, worked all through the night.
As you say, and have said: He’s not socialist, muslim etc…….THE PROBLEM IS: ALL HIS FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES ARE—————and they are a HUGE perplex with the actions of the DNC and the OBOTS througout this whole election.
Obama, is probably a Nice person inside (I hope anyway), but I can’t help sensing he is the “pawn” in a much larger scale of this.
I actually have a little fear for him, when his use is done. His assocations are RADICAL and VIOLENT.
Not much more to say on this.
PS: I already have my flyers ready to be distributed.
IS THE BERG CASE DISMISSED????

Despite there being an entire cottage industry devoted to exposing the liberal bias of the mainstream media, Republicans and conservatives continue to allow themselves to be unduly influenced, and even demoralized, by what they read and hear in the big city newspapers and on network television.
What are they reading and hearing? That Barack Obama will be the next President of the United States. It’s inevitable. It’s his election to lose. What proof does the media offer? Public opinion polls that supposedly show Obama “winning” the race. (But see here and here.) The thousands of devoted supporters who attend Obama’s rallies. The legions of blacks and young people who are more “inspired” than ever to vote for a candidate who understands their needs and interests. Etc. We all know the story by heart by now.
This is the “narrative” that the mainstream media has been imposing on this year’s presidential campaign almost from the start. Remember how quickly the MSM jumped off the Hillary Clinton bandwagon and onto Obama’s? Remember how annoyed and angry they became as Hillary refused to concede the nomination? The MSM decided that electing the nation’s first black, socialist, anti-American president was politically and historically more important (and, for them, more exciting) than electing the nation’s first female, socialist, patriotic president. And they are doing everything they can to achieve this goal.
Well, there is another story out there that the MSM refuses to address. A huge story. One that could, and I think will, significantly affect the outcome of this race. I’m referring to the widespread phenomenon of registered Democrats openly supporting John McCain. There are numerous “Democrats for McCain” type organizations. There are numerous websites and blogs written by Democrats touting McCain’s candidacy. There are pro-McCain grassroots efforts being led by Democrats. And we all know friends or relatives who are Democrats, who voted for John Kerry in 2004, and who are no fans of President Bush - but who are going to vote for John McCain this year.
Yet, surprise surprise, the mainstream media is not talking about these voters, not talking about the real rift that is occurring within the ranks of the Democratic Party. Needless to say, if a similar rift were occurring in the Republican Party, it would be treated as the major story that it is. (Indeed, as such stories about the political fault lines in the Republican Party have been treated in the recent past.)
Who are these pro-McCain Democratic voters? They overwhelmingly tend to be former Hillary supporters. Perhaps the most well-known of these voters are the “PUMAs” - which stands for Party Unity My Ass. These are Hillary supporters who are adamantly opposed to Obama. Let’s not forget that during the Democratic primaries - real elections, not polls - Hillary crushed Obama among white working-class and middle-class voters in such key states as Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. If a meaningful number of these voters end up voting for McCain, as I predict they will, then Obama’s smooth road to the White House is going to run smack into a brick wall.
Earlier this week, I attended a John McCain campaign event in New York City. There were several Democrats in attendance. Not only people who are registered Democrats, but party leaders and workers who had been actively involved in Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Indeed, the gentlemen who “keynoted” the event was a former publisher of the left-wing Village Voice magazine and a veteran of the Robert Kennedy, George McGovern, and Jimmy Carter campaigns. Hardly a right-wing conservative. He gave one of the best stump speeches I have heard why Barack Obama should not be elected president. (It comes down to not trusting Obama to keep the United States safe and strong in a dangerous world and rejecting Obama’s “government knows best” attitude when it comes to domestic issues.) Another person I met at the event was a sprightly elderly woman who manned telephones for Hillary for five months, and now is supporting McCain.
There is nothing remotely similar to this taking place among Republicans. (No, Christopher Buckley endorsing Obama is not the same thing at all.)
Some more anecdotal evidence of a lack of support for Obama among Democrats: I live in the Upper West Side neighborhood of New York City. You cannot find too many places in the country that are more liberal than that. Walking around my neighborhood during the 2004 presidential campaign, I felt “assaulted” on all sides by Kerry-Edwards buttons, bumper stickers, and posters. This year, there clearly is not the same level of outward support for Obama. It is remarkable (and welcome). Will most of the people in my neighborhood vote for Obama on election day? Of course. Will Obama win New York? Almost certainly. But the lack of enthusiasm for Obama among these Democrats, who I’m sure would be going gaga for Hillary, speaks volumes about Obama’s true prospects for victory this year.
The point is simple: Don’t believe the Obama hype coming out of the mainstream media. If the media were truly objective and unbiased, they would be covering the race much differently. Instead of trying to browbeat the country into voting for Obama, they would be analyzing the issues and factors that favor and disfavor both candidates. Instead of focusing on college students and intellectuals, they would be focusing on working-class and middle-class voters, especially “Hillary Democrats.” These voters may very well determine the election. Yet this huge story is being ignored by the MSM.
Furthermore, the media would not so consistently confuse intensity of support for breadth of support. Granted, Barack Obama’s supporters tend to be more enthusiastic about their candidate than John McCain’s supporters are about him. Leftists are always looking for their earthly messiah. But this does not mean that Obama’s supporters, come election day, will outnumber McCain’s. Whether in support of McCain or in opposition to Obama, I predict these voters will go to the polls. Contrary to the wishful thinking of Democratic pundits, they are not staying home. These voters may be unexcited, but they are not apathetic. And 51% of “unexcited” voters will defeat 49% of even the most “inspired” voters. Every time.
Of course, we all know what the mainstream media’s “narrative” will be if (I believe, when) John McCain wins the election: The American people refused to vote for Obama because of the color of his skin (and not because of the content of his politics). The “right-wing attack machine” scared voters into voting for McCain, even against their own social and economic self-interest. Black and poor voters were intimidated by Republican thugs and prevented from voting. We know this story by heart as well.
So be prepared. In a few more weeks, the political environment in this country is likely to become a heckuva lot nastier. For there are real signs pointing to a McCain victory this year, whether or not the mainstream media wants to acknowledge them.

McCain may not prevail here but he will never get the votes that Hillary racked in and Kerry and the rest of the DEMS will not get as many either.

#21 Obuma that is…not and never as many votes as HILLARY!
Guys, look at #11. Post comments at American Thinker. I will too.
I received an e-mail today from NOW in which McCain is depicted as a “monster” haunting the White House. I replied that NOW has become a pack of fear-mongering groupies working on behalf of a corrupt DNC leadership. Along with the Dem party, I think basic human decency is a casualty of this election.
On a lighter note, follow the link to some traveling music for those of you into zydeco:

******* MURPHY ********
I was very disturbed by your intro on the last thread~!!!!… You made a mistake as did the american newspapers, John McCain, and for a few hours of fame this young lady brought you to “almost voting for Obama”????
I am very disturbed!!!
I makes me feel good to see more Americans embracing challenge. Many won’t admit it, but - truth be told - most American’s enjoyed simply going with the flow for most if not all of their lives.
This is indeed a new day.

The casualty of the election is most assuredly character. For example, N.O.W. should be protesting Obama not catering to him. As for Hillary’s continues support for Obama, well, let’s just say it been said already.
Character matters.

33 go_Ohio_Lady I thought we had one??
Guys, don’t worry about this Berg lawsuit thing. If you want, contact the judge’s office and complain. Or bother the DNC and Obama campaign every single day–a few times a day, to demand transparency. Ask why he is not forthcoming with the American public. Where is his birth certificate, his college and law school records, his records from Chicago as state senator, his campaign small donor list, and why did he hand in only one page for his medical records?
Tell them that there are far too many questions about Obama, and ignoring the questions will only translate into less votes for him, so they are doing a disservice to their candidae by not taking the concerns of citizens seriously.
Good Morning PUMA Family!
Today is a good day for PUMAS to go out there and distribute flyers, talk to your neighbors, join McCain team and go door to door, make phone calls for McCain. I’d be out again today like I’ve done the past few days, I’m targetting heavily democratic area in my city. I was surprised to received email from planned parenthood organization. Only Hillary Clinton campaign knows my email address. I do not appreciate it she’s giving to NObama HQ; I find that quite disgusting and breach of trust and my privacy. I replied to the email, it was direct to the point.
Barney Frank wanted to cut 25% of military spending, I am against it. I have three nephews serving in the Middle East right now. The Democratic Party is destroying this country. I’ve met quite a few democrats this past few days especially last night, NObama frightens them and rightfully so. NObama tax plan is a lie. He did not tell the people everything they’re going to buy will also increase, they can’t afford it, their would be workers laid off from their job. The one who’ll get hurt the most with his tax increase is the middle class down to the bottom of the file. Big corporations will just move their operation overseas to escape another tax increase from the Democrats. Corporate tax in USA is 35%, second highest corporate tax in the world not counting state tax that corporations must pay which is between 7-12% . If I am a corporation, why would I keep my business here in the US when I can take my operation overseas, pay less taxes, sell my goods here in the US and make a huge profit margin?
The Democratic Party love jobs but they hate business creating those jobs. The Democrats are not known for creating jobs, but they’re well known for taxing the American people to death, and they’re BIG SPENDERS. They’re not bashful also of taking rights away from you guaranteed in the constitution.
I’ve said a few weeks ago Berg lawsuit don’t have legs; focus instead what you can do to defeat NObama.
Murphy: Please see my post on former thread #584 about your post of last evening re Obama and socialism as well as terroism. I was not able to be here last night but I do not want you or anyone else here to miss a thought regarding your comments. Barack Obama is, infact, a socialist and worse.

Going out to shop for my engagement ring with my sweety… and yes…… don’t make excuses for Obama……
HE IS A RACIST AND A SOCIALIST… THAT’S WHY 80% of THE FRENCH LOVE HIM…MAYBE HE SHOULD RUN OVER THERE AND BE THEIR GOD!!!
The Berg case was ALWAYS going to be appealed, probably all the way to the Supreme Court, as Berg noted early on. The only issue was who would be appealing.
The “standing” issue is core; it may be hard for Berg to establish technically that he has been “injured” as the law requires, but this leads to the question about what remedy exists for breaking the law requiring native-born citizenship. Possibly, none exists at the pre-election level, and the law would only kick in after an ineligible President was elected. Very sloppy thinking on the part of the framers, IMO.
#40 NewOrleansPuma
Lets call it as is, NOBAMA IS A MARXIST MORON who has the notion all he has to do is paint a pretty picture, a paradise for the American people and they’ll buy it.
Look at European countries, they have a very high rate of unemployment due to high rate of taxes with the exception of Ireland, they have a very low corporate tax. My brother (an architect) lives in Belfast, yes their economy is booming, his construction company is booming.
Our founding fathers escaped Europe to ran away from a country that tax them to death. Our founding fathers shipped back the brits to UK because they cannot afford exorbitant taxes imposed by the King of England. And here are the Democratic Party trying to resurrect what our founding fathers fought for and some pay with their lives.
SCREW THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY!!!!

Good moring PUMAS -
Just checked the America’sight website & it talks about the Berg suit - doesn’t say it’s been dismissed by judge -
Also, can’t believe how easily the pimp is playing the msm again - if grandma is so ill & at death’s door, why is her brother planning a birthday party on sunday for her?
God, how I absolutely loathe that piece of shit - we absolutely have to make sure he is not elected - 10 days people - 10 days -
What I find interesting in this lawsuit and that we, the voters, have no constitutional right to challenge the eligibility of the presidential candidates - if we don’t have that right - then who the hell does?????????????????
Having a cranky day today & the weather is turning cold - maybe some snow tomorrow - euuuuuuuuuuuu
Whoops - besides being cranky - can’t spell either - website is America’s Right…………………
My Mantra until election day:
Something VERY GOOD COMES to us Pumas regarding the 2008 election from unexpected sources…free and clear.
Note: “Comes” is the operative word as it puts the message out there in present tense. The “free and clear” is so that no negative karma is incurred.
Try it…I went to sleep last night saying it. It helped calm me down from all the angst that has been built up.
We are all hoping for something to come from the Berg case or Andy Martin but I think many would just poof this off as negative attacks. Remember the last two gifts of Joe the Plumber and Biden’s gaffe? They came directly from the opponent’s camp. So I don’t envison anything particular but just repeat the mantra as I go along doing my normal daily tasks.
Something VERY GOOD COMES to us Pumas regarding the 2008 election from unexpected sources…free and clear.
Something VERY GOOD COMES to us Pumas regarding the 2008 election from unexpected sources…free and clear.
Something VERY GOOD COMES to us Pumas regarding the 2008 election from unexpected sources…free and clear.
I really don’t understand why people keep thinking: Obama? Socialist? Nahhh. My city is crawling with people who agree with socialism. 75% of my college and grad school professors were/ are socialists and taught socialism as a wonderful thing. Some were very militant about it. Only a few said it was only good in theory. I personally know people who love the idea of America turning into a communist nation. Anyway, socialism as a political view is very very common where I come from. I really don’t understand why people think it’s so far-fetched that Obama is a socialist. Maybe there is an age gap or a cultural difference, or whatever. My problem with Obama’s socialism is that it would be racial and there is an undertone of malevolence. Not truly an altruistic or fair version of socialism as I know it with my peers. I really cannot accept the racial marxism in black liberation theology. I just think it’s hateful and incendiary. That’s the same reason why I have a problem with Ayers’ and Dorhn’s version of marxist socialism, because the crux of their views is always racial. I can understand why, but I like to philosophize about a socialism that is not based on hatred, more like a love for the poor and working class in general. Not some kind of hard-core mean-spirited payback.

Worse. Much worse. Obama’s association with avowed communists is pretty incredible.
Frank Marshall Davis was Obama’s mentor between the ages of 10 and 18. He was a member of the Communist Party.
Bill Ayers flatly states in his book, Prairie Fire, that he is a communist.
Obama’s father, Barak Sr., was reported to be in the Moscow camp.
The New Party in Chicago is a communist political aprty. They have both endorsed Obama and in their literature have referred to him as a member.
There is anecdotal evidence that Obama’s grandfather, Stanley Dunham, was involved with the communist party. He was friends with Frank Marshall Davis. When he moved his family to Hawaii, their new residence just happened to be a block away from the Party HQ in Hawaii.
Frank Marshall Davis was originally from Kansas and moved to Chicago before he ended up in Hawaii.
When Obama went to Columbia, Ayers was living in New York at the same time. In fact, the distance between Ayers’ and Obama’s New York residences was a mere few blocks. This suggests tht Obama’s relationship with Ayers goes back to his Columbia, not his Chicago, days.
Bernadine Dohrn, like Bill Ayers, proclaimed herself to be a communist. Dohrn was working with Michelle Obama at the law firm of Sidley Austin in Chicago, the same firm where Barak and Michelle first met. Dohrn and Michelle Obama would frequently cross professional paths in Chicago’s University System.
And then there is the similarity between Ayers’ revolutionary scripture laid out in Prairie Fire and Obama’s record. The book talks about pursuing an overthrow of the US government through means that include attacking it from within, and using community organizing as a means to that end.
Barbara West Interviews Joe Biden
MUST SEE: How idiot Joe reacts to tough questions. Laugh at the person then files a complain that she was combative and unprofessional.

CORRECT!!!!!
Socialism is ONLY good in theory, but its application SUCKS!. I’ve been to China many times, trust me, the Chinese people are NOT happy. Remind people you talk to of TIANAMEN SQUARE. I wonder if the American people who embrace socialsim wouldn’t mind eating COCKROACH as part of their meal. In socialist country, if you’re a member of the politburo or the elite of society, you’re in the right spot. There are NO MIDDLE CLASS under socialism, only two GROUPS of PEOPLE; the ELITE/ POWERFUL and the POOR - 95% of US population would be in the POOR CATEGORY!
KAT…….. THIS IS THE RESULT OF THE TEACHING OF AYERS AND NOT THE TEACHING OF AMERICAN HISTORY!!!
Why do I think B. Hussein is like “really up to something?” It’s been too quiet out there! Something’s in the air…………….it’s just not right!!
Mmmmm why don’t we become a group..of COUMMITY ORGANIZERS!
Now how would we go about that? What could we organize? Would we be about voting, candidates, constitution, teaching rights and or media watchdogs????
How to make elected officials accountable?
Find out why Pelosi made a deal not to impeach Bush?
Wow on and on and beyond……..
A very interesting essay on the words ’socialism’, ‘capitalism’, and ‘distributionism’.
“Most of these socio-economic views have one major concern: the increasing concentration of control over society into the hands of fewer and fewer people. This is not quite the same as increased concentration of wealth: wealth itself is no great threat to the social order although it can be used for that purpose. Socialism would tax wealth in order to set up bureaucracies that would fairly redistribute the wealth. At one time Socialism demanded the nationalization of the means of production, but experience showed this didn’t work very well, either in the Soviet Union, or in the Scandinavian welfare states, or in England. Bureaucratic management “for the public good” is neither efficient in production nor particularly effective at pleasing its public clients (who are usually very much treated as clients; see the Roman origin of the word).
Distributists claim to be a third alternative to ruthless capitalism and bureaucratic socialism. The distributist view can be summarized fairly in Chesterton’s statement “Too much capitalism does not mean too many capitalists, but too few capitalists.” They believed in transparency and subsidiarity — local control of most resources coupled with maximum freedom. (Note that the late Jane Jacobs thought those principles the only way to avoid a coming Dark Age.) One means of distributism would be through death taxes : the money would not go to the state, but be instantly and irrevocably divided. “
Did anyone really think a judge would rule in favor of Berg? Can you imagine the quality of life that judge and his family would live if he had ruled for Berg?
Oops, wrong link, above. Should be tinyurl.com/distributionism .

Information on Wurzelbacher was obtained on Oct. 17 through an account used by the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency in Cleveland, The Dispatch reported records as showing.
Access to such information from BMV computers is restricted to legitimate law enforcement and government business.
The Dispatch reported that information on Wurzelbacher was accessed by accounts assigned to the office of Ohio Attorney General Nancy H. Rogers, the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency and the Toledo Police Department.
It has not been determined who checked on Wurzelbacher, or why, The Dispatch reported.
The investigation could become “criminal in nature,” attorney general’s office spokeswoman Jennifer Brindisi told The Dispatch.
#542 Lilly - Excellent post - especially next to last para:
“It was not an accident that Obama was involved in ACORN. It was not a mistake that Obama was involved with terrorist Bill Ayers to bring down education in Chicago. It was not a mistake that he sat in Rev. Wright’s church who was also associated with ACORN. It was not a mistake that Rezko and Obama worked together to bring down Chicago housing. It was not a mistake that George Soros bought moveon.org and it backs Obama and tell lies about Palin and McCain. Before Obama began his run for the Presidency, he had a meeting with Soros then announced he was running. All of these people and organizations are connected with each other and they all want to take down the United States.”
Two nights ago, Hannity asked these three ‘petinent’ questions (paraphrased) regarding THAT ONE’s ASSOCIATES:
“1. What did they see in him?
2. What was their purpose in nurturing him?
3. What do they know that we don’t know?”
Does Sean know more than he let’s on? Very scary!

I know. Only good in theory. It does sound nice in theory. My teachers would make it seem like Utopia. When I was a freshman a long time ago, I remember the prof. talking about socialism and how work is a grind. If we were living in a socialist nation, we would be able to work half the time and actually live life (fish, paint, visit with people, dream–stress-free). Believe me. I thought it was an excellent idea. Why wouldn’t that sound great? I can understand why people would be interested in Obama’s tax plan, getting checks, etc…”spreading the wealth around.” I totally understand. There are slippery slopes. I wish there was a way to have some aspects of socialism (we already have some, like nationalized schools), but with some kind of lock in safety device that we never fully become a socialist nation, which would lead to communism. And there is no such stop mechanism in existence, so it’s a precarious situation. I won’t trade in my rights and freedom for fishing.

Universities are notoriously leftist and many high schools as well. You are right, I cannot recall taking any classes that showed the USA in an overwhelmingly positive manner.

I like this part of article:
The point is simple: Don’t believe the Obama hype coming out of the mainstream media. If the media were truly objective and unbiased, they would be covering the race much differently. Instead of trying to browbeat the country into voting for Obama, they would be analyzing the issues and factors that favor and disfavor both candidates. Instead of focusing on college students and intellectuals, they would be focusing on working-class and middle-class voters, especially “Hillary Democrats.” These voters may very well determine the election. Yet this huge story is being ignored by the MSM.
Does anyone think there may be a connection, IN TIMING, between when THAT ONE left HI and when Berg supposedly said that the judge threw out the lawsuit?

#69 Link I posted there no longer works: Go to CNN page and read: Summit weighs global finance reform.
Especially note the Premier of China’s “solutions”…Who are the world financiers? The very global market traders et al Goldman Sachs and others who are now in charge of the socalled bailout and the Democratic Congress with its latest ideas to reform more sources of laws relative to people’s money in this country:
401k….Socialists , all. Joe the Plumber is now wrong?
Obama plans are not socialist? They are. This issue is paramount to the reasons for the defeat of Barack Obama. Redistribrution of wealth has always been and will always be an essential tenet of socialism and the collective mentality of the rule of the few over the many.
Barack Obama is a socialist and so is the usurped Democratic Party and its plans for this Country.
The problem with Ayers is not only his hatred but his hypocrisy. He is a communist who directed a Fox reporter to get off his “property” and runs back to “capitalist” daddy instead of being jailed for his political “principles”. He acts like a champion of the AA community, but does draw the line when it comes to being incarcerated with any of the brothers.
BrianH: Please tell me where in fact does control come in a society? When the few have control over the many, as was noted over and over in The Federalist papers by the people who set up this free democratic Republic in contrast to every other model then on the face of the earth and in opposition now to the new Global socialist model, their purpose was to structure a state in which the individual is free to pursue within reason and the law his or her own self interest without recourse to the usuping of the rights of others to do the same
The new world order model is not a distributionist model, either, and a distributionist model, if it worked, would not be in fact what this country’s essence is either. We as a country are being moved to our knees in front of our eyes…and Barack Obama, as well as some of the world financiers who support him are all too willing to comply.
Good Morning Everyone!
Yesterday afternoon turned into was one of those major WELL, JUST “F” IT ALL! days, for me.
1) Ashley Todd - do you know how many children, women and men have been re-viticmized by their own families, community, law enforcment, criminal lawyers, and John/Jane Doe public with: “He/she is lying”?
Guess not!
2) Berg Lawsuit Dismissal:
My own experience of a lawsuit, against a powerful, well-funded opponent:
a) If you do not have the political/financial clout of your opponents - Chances are, the Judge and Justice WILL NOT BE YOUR FRIEND! (Works both ways - the OJ case, anyone?)
b) Playing Chess has basic rules of integrity - The legal system is ONE BIG GAME of who can out-maneuver the “ISSUES, FACTS AND EVIDENCE” in the case.
This game was designed by lawyers, to be played by lawyers, to the benefit of lawyers - no law degree, or real money and you cannot play)
c) The real object of the game is “Billable Hours” (it’s what citizens used to call “Seeking Justice Through the Courts”)
Sadly, minorities and the poor have known this for ages, and have rarely been able to play.
Berg’s motives may be good - or NOT - $$$?
Because what we do know is that many average citizens are outraged that Obama has never wanted to release many of his records. So, there you have it. (Berg’s motives may be good - or NOT - $$$?)

(This shit-pit of a fricking “election” seems hell-bent on setting back - or negatively exploiting - progress in every area of human/civil rights/democracy!)
AYERS, OBAMA & SCHOOLS
Ayers is a friend of Obama, and Professor Ayers’s expertise is training teachers and developing public school curriculum. That’s been his mission since he gave up planting bombs in government buildings (including the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon) and assaulting police officers.
Ayers’s political views are as radical now as they were in the 1970s. “Viva President Chavez!” he exclaimed in a speech in Venezuela in 2006, in which he also declared, “education is the motor-force of revolution.”
From his prestigious and safe university position, Ayers has been teaching teachers and students in rebellion against American capitalism and what he calls “imperialism” and “oppression.” The code words for the Ayers curriculum are “social justice.”
He admits he is a “communist street fighter” who has been influenced by Karl Marx, as well as Che, Ho and Malcolm X.
Ayers speaks openly of his desire to use America’s public school classrooms to train a generation of revolutionaries who will overturn the U.S. social and economic regime. He teaches that America is oppressive and unjust, socialism is the solution, and wealth and resources should be redistributed.
Ayers’s books are among the most widely used in America’s education schools. Ayers even uses science and math courses as part of his “transformative” political strategy to teach that the American economic system is unjust.
Unfortunately, Ayers’s far-out education theories are already having an effect in education schools. One after another, teachers colleges are using their courses to promote socialist notions of wealth distribution, “social justice,” diversity and environmentalism, and to punish students who resist this indoctrination by giving them low grades or even denying them graduation.
Most of Ayers’s socialist propaganda is financed with taxpayers’ money at state universities and teachers colleges. Some of the schools that have adopted Ayers-style pedagogy have received grants from ACORN or from Bill Gates’s charitable foundation.
His peers recently elected him to serve as vice president for curriculum in the American Education Research Association, the largest organization of education school professors and researchers.
Is an appointment to the U.S. Department of Education his next career advancement? Is Ayers’s transformative public school curriculum the kind of “change” Obama will bring us?
The Department of Education lists 15 high schools whose mission statements declare that their curricula center on “social justice.”
New York City teems with many more of these schools than any other district in the country. A handful have been around for years, including El Puente Academy for Peace and Justice, with its wacky hip-hop curriculum (“An F for Hip-Hop 101,” Summer 1998). But Mayor Michael Bloomberg and schools chancellor Joel Klein’s project to break up many of the system’s dysfunctional large high schools and replace them with new small schools has spawned many more. The Department of Education’s website lists at least 15 of the new small high schools that either are explicitly named as social justice schools or whose mission statements declare that their curricula center on social justice concerns. Curiously, while left-wing community organizations, including ultraradical Acorn, helped create some of these schools, some have also received funding from über-capitalist Bill Gates’s charitable foundation. Lenin quipped that “a capitalist will sell you the rope to hang him with.” Now it seems he just gives it to you.

#52Asian4Hillary: Please continue to articulate these truths here. Please go read the CNN article I reference above and especially the Premiere of China’s comments there. When 40 European Countries and Asia, with China predominant among them, who holds a huge percentage of our debt, which debt is moved and played by the global financiers who now are as well in charge of the so called bailout of this country and with whom Barack Obama’s models and the Democratic Congres concur, this country and every single penny and nickel in it now still in the hands or accounts of Americans who work for a living, …the middle class…are on the verge of literal extinction. This is not theory. This is occuring before anyone with eyes to see to see. LOOK. Defeat of Obama for this single reason is imperative.
I am glad to see PUMAs are up and running again today. I am sad to say a tragic event has occurred in my personal life. My family may never be the same again. The national upheaval was difficult to deal with, but the personal upheaval on top of that is more than I can bear all at once. I will distribute the few remaining flyers I have from Freddie and will cast my McCain vote with pride on election day but I must leave the rest of this battle in God’s hands and the very able hands of our PUMA family. I can’t express how much this group means to me. It is a strong and noble cause. I know many in this group pray. My family would greatly appreciate the prayers of those of you who are so inclined. Hugs to all PUMAs, especially Murphy.
#26bmw60: I am also. I will chalk it up to writing too quickly but I will not in anyway discontinue the absolute necessity of revealing and reviling the absolute identification by Barack Obama and the Democratic Party with every variation on a theme in modern history with the tenets of wealth distribtuion as it now raises its head in his person, his plans and his tactics: SOCIALISM…ON A WORLD SCALE: AND THAT IS WHY HE MUST BE DEFEATED.

Got my husband to send some $$ to RNC for election today. He never contributes to pol parties though he’s a diehard Repub. I can’t believe I, a diehard DEM, would convince him to help McCain this year. Crazy nuts year. Here in PA we’re getting a BO ad a minute on tv. Hope it backfires, but the scariest (from our perspective) uses McCains past votes on feminist issues to say he can’t be trusted to be moderate on these issues (paraphrase). I hold my breath and support the M/P ticket because it’s better for OUR COUNTRY in general, but would love to have HRC back.

#52katinthe hat: The model you describe as socialist is in fact the model espoused by Christ. The only problem with the model is it does not work unless it is linked to a spiritual component and reality outside of the mind.
What you describe is the Kingdom of God on earth .
And the only examples of the model you describe which may work intermittantly depending on the INDIVIDUAL committments of the people who are are part of it are religious communities, i..e, monasteries and the like.
Socialism, communism, et al are models of practice without linkage to any power beyond the human for transformation of the INDIVIDUAL. People who speak about socialism in the manner you reference have never been a part of an attempt at it at the bottom.
It is easy to fantasize about this model. No one here has ever had to live in it. If Obama wins, those fantasys,
which abound and are easy in the brain, will quickly be undone by the essence of want spread farther than one could in fact every imagine here.

Kudos to Barbara West’s interview of Joe Biden! She asked really good questions about the corrupt ACORN, spreading the wealth, socialist Obama, and so on. These are the types of questions that the MSM should have been asking of BO since January. I called the station to thank her.
Since the Obamabites are lurking here please call the station to get an email address. Great job, Barbara! She sounds like a Puma.

#5 Utah Puma. I am alone as well otherwise I would go to the Obama rally today. I have been invited by all my Obamite friends….way too numerous….for my heart to take just now. I find the arguements inane and poorly researched and the comments verging of some kinda of hysteria (not unlike Sandra Bernhardt’s insanity…I truly thought the woman was on drugs, mentally deranged or just plain an simply deeply lost and ugly).
On a different note about Obama being here…I have promised my parents and their friends a ride to the symphony as we know there will be no parking spaces and traffic horrific as Obama will be on UNM campus the very same time. So I will get to see what kind of numbers he is drawing etc. McCain is here today as well…and as we say in NM one of the most ‘troche moche’ spots anyone could have picked. Our fair grounds…they are also charging 4.00 fee and only one route in….I am distressed by that plan.
*trouche moche ~~ramshakle godforsaken dump…ok I am embelishing it is more truly translated as something thrown together as an after thought.
Oh, gojoyknocks — your order was shipped last week — I will check on it again today.
I have to to say that I believe Obama was rasied as a socialist. His Grandfather introduced him to FM Davis enough said . I didn’t commet on the BC because I always believed that it was a waste of time .And the real story should have been that he is a socialist . It makes me sad that he is using his race to gain the white house and that no one but Hannity has the gonads to call him on it.IMO the office of disimformation has done its job well

P.S. NOW FOR SOME GOOD NEWS:
Last night a mainstream media network stated:
Obama leads McCain 47% to 43%
NOW: If it is true that the “racial bias factor” makes any poll numbers for Obama 6% to 7% lowere, as reported several weeks ago by Democratic Bean Counters, API and other MSM:
MCCAIN WILL WIN THE ELECTION!
Unfortunately, for the first time in its history of existence, “the Racial Bias Factor” may serve as the great equalizer for dis-enfranchisement, voter intimidation and outright election, voter fraud!
Would you rather be a Democrat and lose to cheating Republicans or a Democrat that craps in its own nest - our basic principles of Democracy?
Pelicans do this by the way (crap in their own nests) and it’s some really BIG CRAP!
If the later is so for you, then 2000 and 2004 were very good years for YOU and YOUR “New Democracy” otherwise known as:
The New Democratic Party of Pelican Democrats!!!
This may offend a lot of people in this blog and those who read it; but I think its high time those who was never born in USA speak what they’ve seen what this country is all about:
First, the American people lives in a bubble; majority of people in this country especially the new generation believes the government must take care of them, that society owes them a living and a good life. The pioneering spirit of the old is dying slowly like an ember and soon would turn into ashes. Children are raised not given any responsibilities and held accountable for their actions. Excuses are given for any kind of malfeasance committed by individuals or groups, a sure sign of deteriorating society. Being truthful, saying things as is in this country is considered racist, coldhearted, uncaring, politically incorrect. “Tolerance is only for people who doesn’t believe in anything;” it means anything goes just to avoid ruffling feathers because of the fear being labeled as hateful.
Second, Citizens of this country are spoiled; it adapted an attitude “I want it I must have it by hook or by crook.” The adults become children themselves. They’ve forgotten something very basic; when you expect the government to do everything for you, you’ve given them the right to take everything from you for the good of all.
Some of you have finally waken up from your long slumber because your own safety net is now under siege. No more safety line being thrown at you, you’re being reeled in; you have to save yourself and join the few fighting for survival of this country. You’re seeing this all over your neighborhood, watch a child demand something from their parents shamelessly, this children will become adults soon; they too would expect society to give in to their demands.
Here comes NObama, a savvy nice talking politician who caters EXACTLY to spoiled brats; they don’t have to work, the government will take care of them from the cradle to the grave. It sounds like paradise, it sounds like heaven - the theory of NObama is very appealing, seductive; it becomes a Nirvana to the thinking impaired until they’re hit with reality. That reality is, all are equally POOR except the elite and those in power; they will control95% of US population and that includes people like Warren Buffett.

BAM STAFFERS PULL THEIR BOGUS OHIO BALLOTS
By JEANE MACINSTOSH
Posted: 4:28 am
October 25, 2008
Thirteen campaign workers for Barack Obama yesterday yanked their voter registrations and ballots in Ohio after being warned by a prosecutor that temporary residents can’t vote in the battleground state.
A dozen staffers - including Obama Ohio spokeswoman Olivia Alair and James Cadogan, who recently joined Team Obama - signed a form letter asking the Franklin County elections board to pull their names from the rolls.
The letter - a copy of which was obtained by palestra.net, a Fox News affiliate - came a day after prosecutor Ron O’Brien publicly urged out-of-state campaign workers for both Obama and John McCain to “examine your conscience” before the elections board beings begins opening absentee ballots today.
Earlier in the week, O’Brien spoke with lawyers for both camps and urged them to make sure their staffs met permanent-residency rules, or face possible felony charges.
Also pulling his ballot yesterday was Hofstra University grad Jake Smith, an Obama volunteer who had voted in Knox County, Ohio.
On Thursday, O’Brien cut a deal with 13 out-of-staters, including four from New York, who tossed out their already-cast ballots and admitted they didn’t meet residency requirements.

I am not offened. I happen to agree with a lot of your points.
#55Grizzly: I just saw your post regarding my comments to Murphy and all others here in my post on previous thread *#584. Thank you for further articulating and summarizing the connections, deep and abiding between terroist anarchist Ayers, and numerous intimates of Obama since childhood until the present day. Days before this election such linkages must continue to be put forward everywhere!
I was having a conversation with my hubby this morning, and he said something that got me to wondering. He despises George Dubya Bush because of the National Guard thing. Hubby was a Vietnam combat veteran and he hates the Canadian deserters and those who joined the National Guard, which back in the 60’s was where you went to avoid going to Vietnam. It was different than the National Guard today who seem to be the first to go to Iraq. Anyway,he said as much as he despises Bush and thinks he is a coward for not fulfilling his duty in the National Guard, he would still vote for him against Obama. I’m wondering how many other people would choose Bush even knowing what a mess he made of this country, over Obama? Cause I would too.
ASIAN4HILLARY: KEEP TALKING ASIAN…..AS WE MOVE CLOSER TO THIS ELECTION: BEING BLUNT IS A NECESSARY GRACE.

God bless. Don’t worry.
Palin allies report rising campaign tension:
Even as John McCain and Sarah Palin scramble to close the gap in the final days of the 2008 election, stirrings of a Palin insurgency are complicating the campaign’s already-tense internal dynamics.
Four Republicans close to Palin said she has decided increasingly to disregard the advice of the former Bush aides tasked to handle her, creating occasionally tense situations as she travels the country with them. Those Palin supporters, inside the campaign and out, said Palin blames her handlers for a botched rollout and a tarnished public image — even as others in McCain’s camp blame the pick of the relatively inexperienced Alaska governor, and her public performance, for McCain’s decline.

We’ll miss you and your posts… but God bless you and your family and grant unity there again…
yeah, nop and others — I agree with you.
The more I’ve learned about Obama the LESS i trust him, if that’s possible.
He’s going to lose though. there are TOO many doubts in people’s minds.
anyway, I dont know about the whole socialism thing. Seems to me that what we’re headed for is MORE corporate welfare. If Obama wins there will also be more spending for the poor and lower middle class. If McCain wins there will be less. Maybe he’ll help the middle class. I do not know. I hope he will.
We’ll never be a socialist nation. Our capitalist economy runs the world. Literally.
It’s the middle class that’s screwed. totally screwed.
but I’ve learned to trust the wisdom of kat in your hat, nop, asian4, HP and others SO I plan to keep thinking about it. . .

These are ideas that have been floating around and have taken root in Academia since the ’80’s. This gives you an idea as to how someone like Ayers and BO might think about American society and american culture in general. I have no idea if they subscribe to these ideas or not; it’s just that such ideas have been prevalent in universities for 2 generations and it is likely that BO has been influenced by them:
http://www.xenos.org/ministries/crossroads/doteduc.htm
POSTMODERNISM AND YOU: EDUCATION
Gary DeLashmutt and Roger Braund, Contributors
“African Americans, Asian Americans, Puerto Ricans/Latinos, and Native Americans have all been the victims of an intellectual and educational oppression that has characterized the culture and institutions of the United States and the European world for centuries.”
This statement begins the report recently generated for the state of New York by a task force commissioned to revise their history curriculum. The report was entitled: “A Curriculum of Inclusion, Report of the Commissioner’s Task Force on Minorities: Equity and Excellence.”
The report goes on to say that
“[This] systematic bias toward Europe and its derivatives . . . [has had] a terribly damaging effect on the psyche of young people of African, Asian, Latino, and Native American descent . . . [this] European-American monocultural perspective . . . [explains why] large numbers of children of non-European descent are not doing as well as expected.”
Statements like these are manifestations of postmodernism as it impacts public education.
Key Postmodern Educational Concepts
A key word to learn when trying to understand postmodern education is constructivism. Constructivism is the main underlying learning theory in postmodern education. The basic idea is that all knowledge is invented or “constructed” in the minds of people. Knowledge is not discovered as modernists would claim. In other words, the ideas teachers teach and students learn do not correspond to “Reality,” they are merely human constructions. Knowledge, ideas and language are created by people, not because they are “true,” but rather because they are useful.
Reality is a story. All reality exists, not objectively–out there–but in the mind of those who perceive it. Nobody’s version of reality can claim to have more objective authority because all versions are merely human creations.
No, we’re not kidding.
The implications of this view of knowledge are staggering, as Ruth Zuzovsky points out:
“Another major feature of this tentative, relativist, and instrumentalist [pragmatic] concept of knowledge is the equal worth of knowledge constructed by the learner, the teachers, or the scientists.” [emphasis ours]
If no one’s knowledge is necessarily true, everything changes. Now the question of what counts as “knowledge” to be taught in the schools is not a matter of objective evidence or arguments, but rather a matter of power. Those who have the power can make sure their constructs are the ones that dominate the curriculum, while other opposing viewpoints are at least partially suppressed, ignored or “marginalized.”
Teachers
Since the focus of the classroom, in postmodern education, becomes the student’s construction of knowledge, they shift away from a teacher-centered classroom to a more student-centered environment. Grayson Wheatley explains,
“Rather than identifying the set of skills [and knowledge] to be gotten in children’s heads, attention shifts to establishing learning environments conducive to children constructing their mathematics and science in social settings.”
A student-centered classroom in this context is likely to have minimal structure. It usually involves opportunities for social interaction, independent investigations and study, and the expression of creativity, as well as provision for different learning styles. There, students create knowledge, and are no longer forced to bow to the subjugation of traditional objective “knowledge.” As Everhard explains,
“School knowledge disables to the extent that it silences students, usurps their minds or at least demands acquiescence . . .[such knowledge] usually places boundaries between emotion and knowledge; students do not control knowledge, but rather ‘must write their student roles and scenarios in conformity to the teacher’s master script.’”
So, Selase Williams, and others argue that AAL (African American Language) is a regular language like Spanish or Japanese. He shows that statements like, “Shanita bin pass dat tes,” means “Shanita passed that test a long time ago.” The difference, he argues is that AAL arises from an African linguistic base. Therefore, inner city kids should be taught in AAL as their mother tongue, with English as a second language. (”Classroom Use of African American Language: Educational Tool or Social Weapon?” in Christine E. Sleeter, Ed. Empowerment Through Multicultural Education, p. 205-207) Anything less would be sheer exploitation.
Likewise, Glasersfel explains that in other areas of knowledge,
“The teacher would come to realize that what he or she presents as a ‘problem’ may be seen differently by the student. Consequently, the student may produce a sensible solution that makes no sense to the teacher. To be then told that it is wrong is unhelpful and inhibiting . . . because it disregards the effort the student put in.”
Here, then, we see postmodern relativism at work in a menacing fashion. Children not taught right from wrong, even in areas like science and social studies. Will their employers be so tolerant?
Teachers in Postmodern Education
At least under postmodern theory we aren’t guilty of an even worse crime according to postmodern scholar, Johnella Butler, who warns that “the colonization of minds is characteristic of American education.”
In other words, when dominant culture calls on minorities to speak classroom English, do math, history and science the white man’s way, they have acted in the old colonial role, just like earlier Europeans who believed it was their responsibility to colonize non-white cultures and lands, imposing European standards, dress, religion and language on those cultures.
Values
Okay, so they don’t want to impose the teacher’s “reality” on students, why go to school?
Actually, they have a definite set of values they hope to inculcate:
striving for diversity– guarding, unchanged, the existing values, tastes and way of life of each subculture in our society.
equality–In postmodern ideology, equality means equal in terms of power relationships
tolerance and freedom–tolerance has a new meaning: roughly, never negating or criticizing oppressed groups. Freedom for cultures and communities to express themselves
the importance of creativity–Creativity is clearly allied to the postmodern emphases on the construction of knowledge and diversity. Stimulating and affirming creativity in students is important in constructing knowledge and values, particularly, if diverse viewpoints are to be encouraged
the importance of emotions– Affirmation of emotions follows along with the importance they place on self-esteem. They believe that any time children’s emotions are challenged (even hate or selfish jealousy) the child is being disabled by having the teacher’s reality imposed on her
the importance of intuition–intuition gains in importance, because rational thought has lost its authority as a means for dealing with ideas. Modernists tend to suppress intuition and feelings, according to postmodernists, even though they are just as legitimate and perhaps even more important than rational, conceptual (or “linear”) thought
The Rest of the Story
From this description it should be clear that postmodern educational theory is a radical departure from what we are used to in education. In The Death of Truth, you can see all these and many other points in postmodern educational theory, all backed up with material from the leaders of this movement in their own words. Also read our book to discover:
How much progress have postmodernists made in public education?
What is the prognosis?
How would their agenda stack up to the biblical world view?
What are the good parts in postmodern theory?
I’m in the list to ask a question to the TeamSarah phone… I’m going to ask about ACORN and if our vote is going to mean anything or not… and if they have anything to say to ease my fear about it?
So now they want to trash his campaign just like they did Hillary’s. word for word almost.hmmmm

ABSENTEE BALLOTS
Voters in most states still have time to obtain an Absentee Ballot by simply downloading an official application form available through http://www.StateDemocracy.org, a completely FREE public service from the nonprofit StateDemocracy Foundation.
According to the Early Voting Information Center, about a third of voters could cast their ballots (either in person or by absentee ballot) before Election Day — up from 20% in 2004. Twenty-eight states allow no-excuse absentee voting by mail, while 22 states and the District of Columbia require an excuse to vote absentee by mail.
The StateDemocracy.org website presents each state’s complete voting requirements governing absentee ballots, voting hours, identification, write-ins, etc. In addition, this one-stop portal also offers a number of other helpful voter assistance tools, including:
A Polling Place Locator for any precinct nationwide
Links to all state and local Election Boards
Links to lawmakers on the federal level and in all 50 states.
StateDemocracy.org also offers free widgets that other websites can install to help their own visitors get absentee ballots or find their local polling place.
There is ALSO a list of each state’s deadline for submitting an application for an Absentee Ballot.
Will send to the action center.
Politico is an Obama site. This is another headfake about the lunatic media.

You’re not disagreeing with me - some elements of this philosophy are timely and good. But when this philosophy is taken to the extreme - that Western culture is evil and should be eradicated and replaced with other cultures, that’s when it’s harmful. We might accept this thinking in intellectuals, but is it appropriate for the leader of our country to subscribe to such a radical philosophy?
I just awoke to find someone had taken my Stop Obama sign from my front yard. I found it stuck in my neighbors grass. Typical Obama supporters, disagree with Obama and they answer with crime. I got the sign back for today anyway!

Maybe your neighbor wanted it!
rabble.. agreed.. my belief is that all cultures -just like people- should be judged by their merits and positive attributes.. just look at the parthenon..how could any rational human being dismiss that as cultural genius ?
Here’s something for ALL of you to read, so you’ll understand why I’m very passionate in defeating NObama.
http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761557463_2/Ferdinand_Marcos.html
NObama is like Marcos, a very savvy politician who caters to the lazy, spoiled brats and those without ambition to better their life through their hardwork.
Marcos was for “equal distribution of wealth”, EXCEPT the wealth he was distributing was not his or the elite and powerful people. He was distributing the wealth of the middle class! This is EXACTLY the plan of NObama. During the reign of Marcos from 1965 to 1986, the filipino people suffered extreme poverty and execution from Marcos henchmen. We even had PUBLIC EXECUTION - FIRING SQUAD to DETER the people from opposing his corrupt and dictatorial government. Jimmy Carter embraced Marcos like a brother, he knew Marcos was killing hundreds of thousands of filipinos. He didn’t say anything to protect of human rights of EVERY filipinos especially young people who put their OWN LIFE in danger opposing Marcos. From the time Marcos was ousted to the present, recovery of Philippines is a rocky road, harder than you could imagine; corruption is still rampant because corrupt people from Marcos regime are STILL in CONTROL!
God help you all if the American people are STUPID ENOUGH to put NObama in the Whitehouse with Democratic controlled Congress. Regrets always come last. I know what is suffering, I know what is fear, I know what its like to live hoping I’ll see another sunrise; trust me it is not a good life living in pure adrenalin. That’s what you’ll have if NObama make it into the Whitehouse. There’s an old saying in Asia, “when a man is desperate, he will hold on at the tip of a sharpest blade even if he knew it would kill him eventually.”
The choice is YOURS!
122 EWard Ditto!! I don’t even bother to go there!! I went today because it was posted, but trust me “NO MORE”!!

Your post certainly does not offend me! I came to America as a young child, after WWII, and worked (manual labor) since the age of nine - never looking or asking for anything I did not earn.
Sad to say, I did not instill in my children the same work ethic, giving them all that they needed (not wanted, if I could!!!!!) - and have not taught them to be accountable and responsible for their own actions, as well as I should have to make their lives easier as adults.
Now, my daughter is a young widow with four childen (ages 4-8) and there is only so much I can do to help. My son had/has ’special needs’, but with much work on my part, is a productive member of society, who finds it hard to do without the ‘wants’ in life. Enough said!
This country is so f’d up because people do not know how to delay gratification. IMAGINE if there were no credit cards and no such thing as ‘credit’. My father always paid cash for his cars and bought a house with the GI Loan that he paid up in five years. My children have no education loans!
IMAGINE, today you can get a car loan for seven years, when the car last less than five years. Just like the chicanary on Wall Street. Borrow with slight of hand and make believe you have the money to pay it back. What a mess!
Please excuse my ranting - you just hit a raw nerve!

asian4hillary… hate to disagree with you on marcos.. there never was a significant middle class in the phillipines to begin with..just the very rich and the wretched poor..
the latest numbers for SUSA says the following for Florida:
52% of Hispanics are voting McCain
22% of African-Americans are voting McCain (WOW!)
13% of Liberals are voting McCain
39% of Moderates are voting McCain
34% of Pro-Choice voters are voting McCain
53% of Central Florida is voting McCain
18% of registered Democrats are voting McCain
44% of Independents are voting McCain
39% of non-Religious people are voting McCain

The problem and I think BO embodies this problem - is that this philosophy started off as one of inclusion and has become one of exclusion, excluding the dominant and imperialistic culture (ours) in favor of traditionally oppressed cultures (oppressed by us).
HP boston… looks like the 52% hispanic voters in FLA have it right.. my admiration for their astuteness!
127 Asian4Hillary I think I posted this before. I was in the Phillipines with my former spouse while Marcos was still in power. I had “hired” guards that I paid monthly. When the New People’s Republic was rampant, then those living off-base (which I did) were under Martial Law. I knew at all times I had to watch everything I “said” and did - or I could be put on International Hold.
People do not realize that Freedom of Speech is a priviledge! People have died to have it!!
In addition, before Marcos became President, Philippines was the richest country in Asia. In fact a lot of filipinos send their children to college here in USA, a lot of my Uncles and Aunties earned their degree here in USA (Georgetown and Yale).
asian4hillary..sorry ,i dont buy it..
that phillipine middle class you refer to must have been extremely tiny..

Americans do not realize that Freedom of the Press is just as important. The abuse of power by the media is inhuman and communistic. Shame on them!
eward.. what freedom of the press??
Grizzly…are you around?
I would like your take on Berg’s “standing” and the appeal.
McCain rally in my town today. He is phoning home. I report when I get back.
