The point is simple: Don’t believe the Obama hype coming out of the mainstream media. If the media were truly objective and unbiased, they would be covering the race much differently. Instead of trying to browbeat the country into voting for Obama, they would be analyzing the issues and factors that favor and disfavor both candidates. Instead of focusing on college students and intellectuals, they would be focusing on working-class and middle-class voters, especially “Hillary Democrats.” These voters may very well determine the election. Yet this huge story is being ignored by the MSM.

Just came back from distributing/posting flyers in my town (interesting conversation with Obot!)
Hey everyone! I went out and about today with Freddie’s flyers again. The first place I went was the mall just before it opened and put flyers all up and down the mall and the show area. Then I went to Goody’s. I wanted to try on some clothes that I liked. I took some flyers with me to the dressing room and I put one in almost every stall. Well, when I came out, I seen they were all gone. When I came out of the dressing room, there was a sales lady at her desk area and she looked up at me with a sneaky grin. I went on by and went up front looking at some more clothes. Then I seen this same sales lady with papers in her hand going up to the front and talking to another sales lady at the cash register. I was hiding behind the clothing trying to see what was going on. Then I seen she had my flyers. She left and went back to the back somewhere’s with my flyers. I guess she dumped them probably. I sure am glad I didn’t get in trouble.

In being an undeceided voter a woman asked me the other day, she heard that I needed a baby sitter for my family, she knew someone but that they had ran with some bad people and she did not know very much about this person and I told her I had reservations about such a person. She then stated she did not understand why I would vote for a man that has been associating with terrible people since he would be actually be taking care of my family and our furture. TOO-SHAE!!!!!! MCCAIN/PALIN WILL BE MY CHOICE FOR A VOTE. I will not let this man have control over my family!!!!!! Americans need to think about this before voting. #44 Asian4Hillary–there is something priceless about standing up for your country and helping out those who want to as well. I have been taking people to early voting locations. Our county precinct had 10 vans spread out throughout the country and shuttled those who did not have transportation, elderly, and many just afraid to go by themselves. The common theme I heard among everyone today was a unified feeling of saving the country that they love. Also, after I finished my shift, I stopped to get my hair cut. I have been going to this person for over 2 years and she is from Viet Nam. She still has family there and a house. She told me that the Asian people are going for McCain and that even her family in Viet Nam are with McCain.

I sent Berg an E-mail an hour ago asking: What IS required to establish standing?
“Mr. Berg, if 300 Million Americans are without “legal standing” to qualify a candidate for POTUS, isn’t that grounds, in and of itself, that an individual Plaintiff be granted legal standing in the interest of averting the potential of a Constituional Crisis?”
(It may be a stupid question. But, I find it perfectly reasonable that the Court should recognize any Plaintiff’s cause of action, where Congress has failed the American People in its “Official Capacity”
How do we know, Mr. Berg, that Congress has failed in its “Official Capacity”?
1) Where are the documents?
2) Congress has denied 300 million Americans “Legal Standing” to demand proof from a candidate that he/or she is, in fact, qualified under Our Own Constitution.
…etc., etc, etc.
I went to my nail salon today. It’s owned by a Vietnamese lady and she does really good business. She said she and her family are voting McCain. She said Bozo is not trustworthy and not good for small businesses.

At the mall today, they were having something for kids there. So, I am glad I went there today. There was probably a big crowd there. It was kind of spooky going thru the mall this morning before it opened up all by myself. The lights were not all on. Usually I take someone with me, but today, I just went by myself.

Thanks Dances for adding my name to the list, and for sending the petition to George Bush. Taking this case to the Supreme Court will take too long. Obama is counting on this. Impeachment proceedings could only originate with Congress (who would be democratic). Bush, as our current president, has an obligation to enforce the constitituion. HE NEEDS TO TAKE THIS AS AN ACTION, or AT LEAST GIVE US A REPLY.

i know judges go thru some sort of clearence every 7 yrs, i know too they are very careful as to what they do, i do not know if his(berg´case) ruling is correct or not, i do not know if he is abiding to the law, if not i hope he is held accountable for it

One thing I can say, patriotism is alive and well in this country. When people are faced with the choice, salvation of their country or party; their love for their country supersedes loyalty to their party. I wish 80% of US population are like PUMAs, this country would always land on its feet instead on its heels. Real change is taking place, it’s not favorable to the Democratic Party. NObama with the help of the DNC have exposed how corrupt is the Democratic Party; how easily they waylaid the unfortunate of this country by using emotional blackmail which I find totally repulsive and degrading; it is treating those unfortunate people like a bunch of lemmings. The style of NObama campaign with the help of the Democratic Party is very common in third world countries. I’ve seen it in Asia for years and years; but the American people haven’t seen it, this is their first time. When it comes to real corrupt politicians at least 50% of US population are still virgins. People like me and lotusboy who have seen the likes of NObama where we came from sometimes shake our heads how easily 50% of US population are hoodwinked and bamboozled. We give the middle finger to politicians like NObama where we came from and call them son of a bitch right on their face. Here in USA, people are afraid to say what’s on their mind because it’s not politically correct. I say, take off the goddamn mask of pretense, call a spade a spade!

One of the ways to keep Obama OUT of the White House is to EXPOSE the Voter Fraud he has perpetrated!
Obama is not only perpetrating voter fraud, he is trying to keep the Department of Justice from investigating voter fraud prior to the election!
I wrote the following letter to the US Attorney General:
Dear Attorney General Mukasey,
It takes my breath away that Senator Barack Obama is trying to pressure you and the United States Department of Justice into waiting until the 2008 Presidential election is over before you investigate allegations of widespread voter fraud. It’s believed that hundreds of thousands, if not millions of voters have been illegally registered all across the country. As a citizen of the United States of America, I am outraged that one of the candidates in this election is attempting to interfere with the carrying out of correct and proper justic prior to the election on November 4th. To investigate voter fraud after the election is over would be stupid and pointless. My civil rights as a US citizen are being violated—my guarantee to being able to vote in a FAIR and TRUTHFUL election—and I expect YOU, Attorney General Mukasey, to carry out YOUR sworn obligation to protect and to defend MY civil rights, and to MAKE SURE the 2008 Presidential election is FAIR and ABOVE BOARD.
I am appalled and disgusted that Barack Obama has the audacity and the gaul to try to stall an investigation by the highest law enforcement agency in the land! I EXPECT you to ignore him and to CARRY OUT your sworn DUTY IMMEDIATELY—BEFORE, NOT AFTER, the November 4th, 2008 election is over!

I am not a lawyer and I don’t play one on t.v. BUT here are some clarifying concepts that became clear during the 2008 “Chad” election.
The constitution has requirements about holding offices whose powers are established by that document, and about who has the right to vote–i.e., collectively grant that authority.
Congress enacted various election laws regarding how the elections are to be held and when they are to be held. All other rights belong to the states.
The states determine how the parties submit candidates for the ballot.
The states (I believe) have to certify that a candidate has won the electoral votes before the electors proceed to the electoral college and actually elect the president.
So, it appears that the constitutional crisis cannot occur unless and until someone is elected to an office that the constitution prevents them from holding.
Before the election, it appears that the issue should be addressed at the state level regarding the certification of the candidate on the ballot, and then the question about enforcement arises. The question about standing is whether any citizen has the right to force the SoS or Secretary in charge of elections to enforce the law. The answer I’ve been given is that this power rests with the Attorney General.
So, it would seem that the best strategy is to blanket the AG’s phone lines and email box with requests, particularly in battleground states.

She had fact based information that applied to the topic of sexism AND was able to provide a class of college students with information about BO. Also… I need to get this off my chest because this election season has made me incredibly paranoid when it comes to trusting the government.
I see many links to a story in which there’s an investigation into how someone had access to government computers and information when they were getting the dirt on Joe the Plumber.

Now I see a totally unrelated story on FOX how there is a mock election being done in the schools. They explain (in a “isn’t this cute” sort of style) how the children participate in this “MOCK” election with real voting machines and real ballots… so they can experience and get a sense of the voting process for when they grow up. The report goes on to say that the information will be entered into a National database system so they can analyse and report on the results.
k… is it just me … or is anyone else paranoid that this information can be accessed by the same people accessing the government computers to research Joe the Plumber… and somehow these “MOCK” ballots will be merged with the “REAL” ballot information.
Oh… BTW… the majority of the kids seem to prefer Obama… what a surprise there…

This is the biased media yet again being used by Barack Obama to tell out right lies to the American Voter. SARAH PALIN CAUSE TRAFFIC JAM IN DOWNTOWN HOUSTON
Was out early this morning before I began driving our county precinct vans for those needing assistance and wanted to vote early. I went to look for Jenniforhillary at her Houston location. On the way, the Northbound Traffic in Houston where 59N intersects with 45N was back up for at least half a mile–both lanes–both interstates. A HUGE triangular advertisement sign had a picture of Sarah Palin in her red suit and it read across the top “Vote Republican and Make History” To advertise on this sign cost big $$$. The part of the 3 sign assembly where they had her picture faced both interstates. The traffic was slowing down to take a look at it and some were trying to get pics from their cars. I will got back tomorrow and try a get a picture and maybe it can be posted on the action center for general viewing. I know that PUMA is a Party in itself and does not endorse any candidate and I am trying my best to word this story without coming off as endorsing one or the other. It is just a simple sign, but exudes power in the statement and presence. The area Jenni was talking about was busy, but a lot of police were there and I did not see anything out of the norm at that time.
I will go back tomorrow and try a get a pic of the Palin advertisement.

Ok…that one took, so now I’ll try to reword my first one…you guys are fighting the right fight for the right reasons, and I thank you for your credibility and integrity.
I recognize that you are not re-registering Republican! and are fighting for America (since our Federal Election Commission doesn’t seem to feel the need to, among other things).
In August, prior to the Democratic convention, I e-mailed our Dem. congressman, Collin Peterson, and lambasted him for what he was about to do to Hillary. Pointed out to him that he knew good and well she was being railroaded and had actually won the votes necessary for the nomination if they had left the process along and let the super delegates vote their choices.
You guys are cheerful warriors–through the frustrated hours, the disappointed hours…then it’s obvious you bounce back to the top and keep on pushing. You are, obviously, AMERICANS FIRST. You are in a unique position to make a statement and “do this thing” and I just wanted you to know there will a lot of (R)s checking in, noticing and acknowledging you.
We have GOT to keep Obama out of the White House for the sake of America and our election processes.
Thank you, each of you, for your boldness, hard work and heart. Your comments are great–I find myself checking on frequently to see how you’re doing, but probably won’t post often. I’m working with folks and family I know pushing everyone to VOTE VOTE VOTE!

I was never politically involved, except for voting. I was a life-long Republican (for some reason! I can’t remember why now!)
I voted for Hillary and became a Democrat this year!(and witnessed the caucus debacle, firsthand!)

1) standard html permits labelling/titling a link anything you want. Here is the usual format:

2) TinyUrl.com is a site that permits “squashing” of a long URL into a short one. Basically, it keeps a file of entered URLs with randomly generated short ’strings’ that can be used to link to the full one. They promise never to wipe the file.

WFTV-Channel 9′s Barbara West conducted a satellite interview with Sen. Joe Biden on Thursday. A friend says it’s some of the best entertainment he’s seen recently. What do you think?
West wondered about Sen. Barack Obama’s comment, to Joe the Plumber, about spreading the wealth. She quoted Karl Marx and asked how Obama isn’t being a Marxist with the “spreading the wealth” comment.
“Are you joking?” said Biden, who is Obama’s running mate. “No,” West said.
West later asked Biden about his comments that Obama could be tested early on as president. She wondered if the Delaware senator was saying America’s days as the world’s leading power were over.
“I don’t know who’s writing your questions,” Biden shot back.
Biden so disliked West’s line of questioning that the Obama campaign canceled a WFTV interview with Jill Biden, the candidate’s wife.
“This cancellation is non-negotiable, and further opportunities for your station to interview with this campaign are unlikely, at best for the duration of the remaining days until the election,” wrote Laura K. McGinnis, Central Florida communications director for the Obama campaign.
McGinnis said the Biden cancellation was “a result of her husband’s experience yesterday during the satellite interview with Barbara West.”

May I disagree here? I have no legal training, but it seems to me that “a candidate’s ineligibility under the Natural Born Citizen Clause,” one of most basic requirements of the Constitution, does result in an injury in fact to voters. It causes this injury by trivializing and weakening the Constitution itself, thus harming the entire country and its citizenry, including Philip Berg. It causes damage by undermining the concept that we are a country of laws, and that those laws are to be obeyed.
It seems imperative to determine if, in fact, said candidate does or does not meet the citizenship requirements. Do the law and common sense not dwell in the same neighborhood anymore? I know, I know – foolish question.

I don’t think people are paranoid or scared enough. This is no joke – there are very powerful people behind all this, and they are above the law. It used to be that the press was neutral and free and if you could get word out to them, they could help save you from these powerful forces. But now these forces own the press, so there’s not much hope of winning…

I picked up this quote from the TexasDarlin website. It is poignant and to the point:
This is a question of who has standing to stand up for our Constitution,” Berg said. “If I don’t have standing, if you don’t have standing, if your neighbor doesn’t have standing to ask whether or not the likely next president of the United States–the most powerful man in the entire world–is eligible to be in that office in the first place, then who does?”
Berg is absolutely right about that. Justice, in these United States, is not just blind she is hogtied, branded and given away. Maybe McCain, who has his own problems about Eligibility, will be concerned enough to try to put a mechanism in place, but you know Obama won’t and you know the Democratic Party won’t. In 1776 this country rebelled against King George because the People felt that they were being denied their Rights under the Law, hmmm.
Actions against Individual Secretaries of State are in progress, 50 are needed and the deadline is December 15th, when the Electoral College decides, not November 4th. The XXth Amendment kicks in after the General Election. Enough State Actions could still tip the balance of Justice’s Scales and rip the blindfold from her eyes. But, if the reaction of the Texas Secretary of State is anything to go by, those actions are likely to fail too.
This isn’t a conspiracy, that argues a concerted plan, this is a result of having no plan, of assuming that an Ineligible Candidate would either never get this far, or would not stand in the first place. I have complained from the get-go that there was no Federal System and there isn’t one, we have Judge Surrick’s word for it. This isn’t the fault of Activist Justices this is the fault of a System which denies Justices the Right to be Activist and assigns them a purely passive and politicized role.
Also, after the General Election a different action can be Filed, but again don’t hold your breath. The XXth Amendment could still be involved. We have a Constitutional Crisis, like it or not, potentially as great as that which arose because of the Election of 1860. We the People need to get out there and tell others what is going on.
The Crisis is here RIGHT NOW. The Constitution is the Supreme Law of the Land and the Bedrock of the Republic. If the Courts will not enforce it and the Congress will not enforce it and the Executive will not enforce it, it is up to the People to enforce it and to insist that a mechanism is put in place to prevent this from ever happening again. Why swear to protect the Constitution if you ignore it?
Get out there and VOTE MCCAIN-PALIN, because at least that way you won’t get a man who knowingly plays fast and loose with the Supreme Law of the Land, only my opinion of course.
That hurt. I’ve never suggested voting for a Republican since 1960. Maybe the GOP can make up for their abuse of the Constitution by stopping the Democratic Party abuse of the Constitution.

Moreover, there reportedly exists a tape recording of Obama’s grandmother saying she was there in the birthing room at the hosptial in Mombasa, Kenya when Barack was born on August 4, 1961.

As we all know, Barack and Michelle worked at Sidley Austin law when they met.
Also working with Michelle at Sidley at the same time was one Bernardine Dohrn, beloved wife of Bill Ayers.
Now it turns out a fellow named Christopher B. Seaman is the former law clerk for U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick.
Christopher B. Seaman also works for a firm named Sidley Austin.

The issue is so big in Canada it cost a majority government (working in Canada in the arts right now). I just got curious and really can find no info. Still won’t vote for that one, but would make me feel better about McCain. I know I have to, I’d just like a good reason. I have until Tuesday, then the absentee ballots are going in. This issue may seem petty in comparison to everything else going on, but small things can make a difference.

My husband and I both work theatre, he’s asst. lighting tech trained in thrust stage primarily (running about 2,750 lights per show) and I’m what is referred to as a night crawler, all back stage. For some shows I’m a dresser and on one asst stage manager. This is what I’m not sure about. We never hear about arts at state level either. Due to work available we’ve worked in Canada since 1998 and are here mid Feb to mid Nov. I just never hear about anything over local level.

Alice Paul and the over 200 women who fought valiantly for a woman’s right to vote are the real heros. They never gave up and never gave in. I do. Her mom called her early in the morning and she did not answer. Went to her house and found her there. She had been beaten so badly that at first they thought she had been stabed. She was a beautiful girl. Such a tragedy.
Jeremy, last time I checked, I didn’t see it. I have the Clintons blocked. I’m disgusted with both of them and doubt I could ever support them again. This election has opened my eyes on a lot of people I admired.

Oh my! Sounds Beautiful! Perfect! The last time I was there, it was in the spring – 10 years ago. Too long!
We ran into some brush – that had a nest of water mocassins! (mostly babies – I think).
They attacked our thick, rubber canoe like a bunch of angry bees – biting the sides! They were 12″ fearless attack zombies – acting like they were 6′ long!
We managed to get away, with none of them getting in the canoe, but about 200 yards down stream, our canoe had started to deflate to the point that we had to abandon ship!
We couldn’t keep going – but were scared sh!tless to get out and pull it on the bank!
The sick part is, we were laughing our a$$es off the whole time, screaming orders at other – as if either one of us knew what to do?
Until it came time to get out of the canoe! We both got real quiet and humble – saying “Here, now let me go first”. Damn thing nearly sank, waiting for the other “brave one” to step into that snake infested swamp, first!
That’s my last Caddo story! But, God it was fun!

Night lights on Huckabee (she’s for Palin) and on the bottom of the rolling screen, they announced that Berg’s lawsuit has been dismissed about eligibility of Obama’s citizenship of Kenya and Indonesia stating that the case lacked standing…then it went on to talk about Berg’s assertion that Obama forfeited his US citizenship when he took his step dad’s Indonesian citizenship. My jaw dropped! It was on FOX!! Let’s all hope for a Hannity follow up…cross those paws.

There is a movie about the Triangle Factory Fire, it starred Tovah Feldshuh and I think it was about 1979. I haven’t seen it for years so I’m not sure how available it is. It happened in 1911 and was the catalyst for a lot of reforms. I’m sure google would have something on it. I think one of the universities has an extensive exhibit on it. Maybe Cornell, try cornell.edu and search Triangle Fire.

Is anyone watching FOX… the ticker at the bottom of the screen just announced that Obama’s citizenship is in question. That he has dual citizenship of Kenya and Indonesia and the Judge refused to rule on Berg’s side.
If this is on the FOX ticker… that means this story might be discussed soon.
If you watch FOX now… they might recycle this ticker again. They also have a ticker talking about the Odinga violence in Kenya but so far no one is mentioning Obama’s connection to Odinga
As of November 5, 2008, when President Obama is officially elected into office, our company will instill a few new policies which are in keeping with his new, inspiring issues of change and fairness:
1. All salespeople will be pooling their sales and bonuses into a common pool that will be divided equally between all of you. This will serve to give those of you who are under-achieving a “fair shake”.
2. All low level workers will be pooling their wages, including overtime, into a common pool, dividing it equally amongst you. This will help those who are “too busy for overtime” to reap the rewards from those who have more spare time and can work extra hours.
3. All top management will now be referred to as “the government.” We will not participate in this “pooling” experience because the law doesn’t apply to us.
4. The “government” will give eloquent speeches to all employees every week, encouraging its workers to continue to work hard “for the good of all”.
5. The employees will be thrilled with these new policies because it’s “good to spread the wealth around”. Those of you who have underachieved will finally get an opportunity; those of you who have worked hard and had success will feel more “patriotic”.
6. The last few people who were hired should clean out their desks. Don’t feel bad, though, because President Obama will give you free healthcare, free handouts, free oil for heating your home, free food stamps, and he’ll let you stay in your home for as long as you want even if you can’t pay your mortgage.
If you appeal directly to our democratic congress, you might even get a free flat screen TV and a coupon for free haircuts (shouldn’t all Americans be entitled to nice looking hair?)!!!
If for any reason you are not happy with the new policies, you may want to rethink your vote on November 4th.

I’m looking forward to Nov 4. I know posting will be IMPOSSIBLE that night, but I’m really looking forward to it. I’m reading the comment sections of a lot of the articles we had posted earlier…. and I see people posting about AA as well as whites who had voted dem all their lives who are going to vote for Mac. I see people living in areas who said how in 2000 and 2004 the area was awash in signs for Kerry or Gore, but now there are hardly any signs for either Obama OR Mac. I hear how the pollsters are talking about the huge percentage of hangups, and how over-balanced with dems the polls are. I am expecting a McCain win here, folks. I am PUMPED and I am EXCITED. THIS IS GONNA WORK… THE PUMAS ARE KEEPING BO OUT. We have another Constitutional crisis at hand thanks this time to the Democrats. Judge Surrick is a Democrat appointed by Presdient Clinton and he is saying that citizenship do not have the right to redress grievances or challenge the Constitution. The reason for the lawsuit is one thing. The decision and comments by the Judge are another. Good for Berg for taking it to the Supreme Court.

You know, I shouldn’t probably mention this, but… maybe about 15 years ago, while working at a different company, we had to take a bunch of insurance classes (I was working inside an insurance company). After the main ones were passed, we were assigned various classes to take that had something to do with our departments that we were in. In our small department we were assigned to take a course in polling and surveys. I never finished the course- none of us did. We got thru the first 3-4 chapters and went in to demand a release from the class. The first 3-4 chapters were all about ways to get any poll or survey to come out the way you wanted it to. I don’t remember all the details anymore, but I know it made us angry that we were being taught how to cheat, and we refused. I’m sure all these pollsters passed that course with flying colors, and are “grade A cheaters” at deceiving people. Just thought I’d mention that.

Dear Editor, Times-Dispatch:
Each year I get to celebrate Independence Day twice. On June 30 I celebrate my independence day, and on July 4 I celebrate America’s. This year is special, because it marks the 40th anniversary of my independence.
On June 30, 1968, I escaped Communist Cuba , and a few months later, I was in the United States to stay. That I happened to arrive in Richmond on Thanksgiving Day is just part of the story, but, I digress.
I’ve thought a lot about the anniversary this year. The election-year rhetoric has made me think a lot about Cuba and what transpired there. In the late 1950s, most Cubans thought Cuba needed a change, and they were right. So when a young leader came along, every Cuban was at least receptive.
When the young leader spoke eloquently and passionately and denounced the old system, the press fell in love with him. They never questioned who his friends were or what he really believed in.
When he said he would help the farmers and the poor and bring free medical care and education to all, everyone followed.
When he said he would bring justice and equality to all, everyone said, ‘Praise the Lord.’ And when the young leader said, ‘I will be for change and I’ll bring you change,’ everyone yelled, ‘Viva Fidel!’
But nobody asked about the change, so by the time the executioner’s guns went silent, the people’s guns had been taken away.
By the time everyone was equal, they were equally poor, hungry, and oppressed.
By the time everyone received their free education, it was worth nothing.
By the time the press noticed, it was too late, because they were now working for him.
By the time the change was finally implemented, Cuba had been knocked down a couple of notches to Third-World status.
By the time the change was over, more than a million people had taken to boats, rafts, and inner tubes.
You can call those who made it ashore anywhere else in the world the most fortunate Cubans. And now I’m back to the beginning of my story.
Luckily, we in America would never fall for a young leader who promised change without asking, what change? How will you carry it out? What will it cost America?

New York Times Refuses To Believe Obama Will Draft His Own Inaugural Address»
In an article about the upcoming White House transition, the New York Times’ Peter Baker and Jackie Calmes note that John Podesta “has been preparing for the task at the research organization he runs, the Center for American Progress.” The article proceeds to offer this sensational claim: “Mr. Podesta has been mapping out the transition so systematically that he has already written a draft Inaugural Address for Mr. Obama, which he published this summer in a book called ‘The Power of Progress.’”
While this claim makes for an interesting story, it’s not true. A couple key facts:
– The book, which was in the works for over a year and was written with the help of CAP’s in-house progressive historian John Halpin, traces the history and successes of progressive politics in the 20th Century, draws lessons from that history, and then applies those lessons to the big challenges facing the country — the global economy, global warming, and global security. At the end, there is a sample inaugural address written not “for Mr. Obama,” but rather, clearly offered as a literary device to summarize the main arguments in the book.
– The inaugural address was written and submitted to the publisher in March 2008, during a time when Podesta was supporting Sen. Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Podesta re-did the introduction to the book — but not the inaugural address — in June when it became clear that Obama would emerge as the nominee.
Apparently, Baker and Calmes have a hard time believing that Sen. Obama, who has authored two best-selling autobiographies, could manage to draft his own Inaugural Address if he is elected President.
Baker and Calmes should know better. Obama has been intimately involved in writing many of the most important speeches over the course of his career:
– Prior to his 2004 Democratic Convention speech, Obama “made it clear to his staff that he wanted to create this speech on his own.”
– Obama’s address on race in America in March of this year “wasn’t a speech by committee…Obama wrote the speech himself, working on it for two days and nights,” and staying up until 2 am the night before to finish it.
– For his 2008 Democratic convention speech, Obama also “wrote much of the speech himself,” staying alone in a hotel room “for 20 hours, until past midnight each day” to draft it.
And yet, despite the record, the New York Times would have the public believe that Obama has already outsourced the most important speech of his career.

I live in a politically active very liberal neighborhood, extremely unusual not to see tons of pro-candidate signs. Since the selectee’s crowning, I’ve seen only 8 probamadrama signs/bumperstickers.
No McCain signs.

My ex-best friend’s mom (McCain supporter) called me the other day and said her daughter had called her bragging that she had put an Obama sign in her yard and had also gotten signs for two of her neighbors.

The Bush Administration has packed the bench with special interest that thumb their noses at any kind of standards of jusicial conduct. Basically, if the judge says he does not have to recuse himself, it is extremely difficult to do anything about it.
I had a case where the Judge had a son who was the attorney of record on cases for the opposing party. He played aroung with the case for awhile and then threw my it out of court without considering even one single fact from it. I protested and my attorney got sanctioned. The judge refused to release his financial disclosure report and when I finally did get it, he also had an interest in the business of the opposing party. Both these situations are violations on advisory opinions on codes of conduct, but the judges on handling the complaints just kept validating each other. When I finally looked at the whole mess, half the judges who ruled on the case had interests in the business of the opposing party.
What Serrick did is just business as usual.
I went to the US Supreme Court twice. The USSC recieves around 8000 requests per year and hear 100-200. My little case just didn’t rate being heard.

While doing a little of my own “Fact-Checking”, I ran across some interesting linkage between
U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick and one Barack H. Obama.
As we all know, Barack and Michelle worked at Sidley Austin law when they met.
Also working with Michelle at Sidley at the same time was one Bernardine Dohrn, beloved wife of Bill Ayers.
Now it turns out a fellow named Christopher B. Seaman is the former law clerk for U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick.
Christopher B. Seaman also works for a firm named Sidley Austin.

I have a question about the Berg ruling?
Just to see if I’m understanding the technicality correctly — it sounds like the term that Berg doesn’t have “standing” is like the Judge is saying that Berg has a conflict of interest because he’s a citizen and a voter. Am I understanding this correctly?
So if I am — here’s the main question I’m getting at. If Berg has a conflict of interest due to his interest as a voter — what about the conflict of interest for the Judge? Doesn’t the fact that his aid Mr. Seaman have a conflict of interest in this case when he used to work in the same law firm with Michelle and Barack Obama?

I went to the Mccain/Palin campaign office in Ames. IA today to pick up stickers and bumper stickers and told them that I was a PUMA and very active on the net and the gentleman said he had just had another man in who said he was a PUma also. Hurray!!!!! I have not met any active PUMA”S here but there are plenty of them I know of around here. Things are getting active around here. There are alot of new signs going up around here. I’d say I’ve seen about an even number of both candidates.

I do have to say were I live, about a half and hour east of Berkeley, I see no campaign signs at all. I have only seen 4 obie bumper stickers and a couple of McCain. I remember her key tags “Hillary will clean his clock” “Barack is a whiner” “You’re So Vain” (playing Carly Simon’s song in the background), and her favorite “MOMMMAAAAA” “WWHHAAAA WHHAAA WHAAAA.” Those radio archives are scrubbed now and I wrote and asked her why they were no longer posted several months ago. Basically she told me that she had a brain fart and only “classic” broadcasts of hers were archived. This is what it all boil down to—if you are willing to defend THIS Democratic Party, you have been promised a reward or official position. These people words mean NOTHING to me anymore. We face real threats in the world. Don’t give me this ‘blood for oil’ thing. If I were trading blood for oil I would’ve already seized Iraq’s oil fields and let the rest of the country go to hell. While he’s doing that, he wants to give Iraq to al Qaeda, Afghanistan to the Taliban, Israel to the Palestinians, and your money to the IRS so the government can give welfare to illegal aliens, whom he will make into citizens, so they can vote to re-elect him. He also thinks it’s okay for Iran to have nuclear weapons, and we should stop our foreign aid to Israel. Did you sleep through high school?
You people need to understand that we face a unique enemy. Back during the cold war, there were two major competing political and economic models squaring off. We won that war, but we did so because fundamentally, the Communists wanted to survive, just as we do. We were simply able to out spend and out-tech them.
That’s not the case this time. The soldiers of our new enemy don’t care if they survive. In fact, they want to die. That’d be fine, as long as they weren’t also committed to taking as many of you with them as they can. But they are. They want to kill you, and they are all over the globe.
You should be grateful that they haven’t gotten any more of us here in the United States since September 11. But you’re not. That’s because you’ve got no idea how hard a small number of intelligence, military, law enforcement, and homeland security people have worked to make sure of that. When this whole mess started, I warned you that this would be a long and difficult fight. I’m disappointed how many of you people think a long and difficult fight amounts to a single season of ‘Survivor.’
Instead, you’ve grown impatient. You’re incapable of seeing things through the long lens of history, the way our enemies do. You think that wars should last a few months, a few years, tops.
Making matters worse, you actively support those who help the enemy. Every time you buy the New York Times, every time you send a donation to a cut-and-run Democrat’s political campaign, well, dang it, you might just as well FedEx a grenade launcher to a Jihadist. It amounts to the same thing.
In this day and age, it’s easy enough to find the truth. It’s all over the Internet. It just isn’t on the pages of the New York Times, USA Today, or on CBS, CNN. ABC, MSNBC or NBC News. I could say more about your expectations that the government will always be there to bail you out, even if you’re too stupid to leave a city that ‘s below sea level and has a hurricane approaching.
I could say more about your insane belief that government, not your own wallet, is where the money comes from. But I’ve come to the conclusion that were I to do so, it would sail right over your heads.
So I quit. I’m going back to Crawford. I’ve got an energy-efficient house down there (Al Gore could only dream) and the capability to be fully self-sufficient for years. No one ever heard of Crawford before I got elected, and as soon as I’m done here pretty much no one will ever hear of it again. Maybe I’ll be lucky enough to die of old age before the last pillars of America fall.
Oh, and by the way, Cheney’s quitting too. That means Pelosi is your new President. You asked for it. Watch what she does carefully, because I still have a glimmer of hope that there are just enough of you remaining who are smart enough to turn this thing around in 2008.

Wow, they want the votes of American Citizens – who have no citizenship “standing” (legal right) to ask them for proof of their eligibility to run for office!
I just can’t get over that – it’s really bizarre!
The lawsuit has some problems. we will have no standing. we need standing. one way is to include a person who has standing like a member of congress. a member of the electoral college. better is a rival candidate for president like bob barr. he has standing.
also it is better to go at a state level. the sos and AG and maybe an Elections Commission come into play. In some states there are laws demanding that they vet the candidates. So we should hit those states.
One state forces the discovery that he is not a citizen and the house of cards falls.
I have been a lawsuit fanatic for a long time now. This is the best way to defeat Obama. Force him to prove he is eligible.
The news is now coming out so our efforts will be rewarded eventually. We have until he is put into office Jan 20. Some important dates are Dec 15 and Jan 6. So much can still be done in the courts after Nov 4. It will take perseverance and hard work. this is not an easy lawsuit. We must have a good strategy before starting. Berg is obviously a great source of great advice on how to proceed. but some of the other people working on this like Dave out in CA should be contacted. From Virginia Virtucon by way of Hot Air: Interesting tidbit on polls I was having dinner a night ago with a friend of mine who is a statistician for a well-regarded private polling company. They do some work for Republicans in California, but most of the work they do is for Democrats or Democrat-leaning operations (unions etc). Anyway, her shop was retained to do a few Presidential polls for targetted states on behalf of a union so the union could decide where to spend their ad dollars for the last week. They did Ohio, Florida, North Carolina, New hampshire, Pennsylvania, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada and Missouri. After mocking the hell of the voter id spreads used by Rasmussen, Zogby etc, (and this is coming from a committed Dem who will be voting for Barry O) she said the results of their polling lead her to believe that McCain will definitely win Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Missouri, and Nevada. She says Obama will definitely wins New Mexico. She said that Colorado and New Hampshire were absolute dead heats. She said that there is a 55% chance Obama holds on in Pennsylvania and 75% chance McCain wins Virginia. She absolutely laughed at the public polls showing Obama leading Virginia-and pointed out that all of those polls rely on Dem turnout being +4 and as much as +7, when in 2006 Republicans actually had the advantage by +3. She also pointed out that the numbers for Obama in SWVA look absolutely awful and that McCain is running 10 points better than Allen did in NoVa. Anyway, her companies conclusion is that the election will come down to Colorado, New Hampshire and the Republican leaning district in Maine, which in her opinion might very well decide the Presidency (apparently the district in Nebraska that Obama thought he might be able to get is now off the table). She said she has very little doubt that the public polling is part of a ‘concerted voter suppression effort’ by the MSM. While I don’t much like it, as the law stands right now the lawyers are technically right. Just as you or I could not have standing to sue the federal government simply because we are taxpayers, voters cannot sue simply because they are voters. Time and time again, on these pages, I’ve said that the standing doctrine weighs heavily against Philip Berg’s cause. Just a few days ago, in fact, I wrote that common sense dictates that the suit be tossed on grounds of lack of standing — though I specifically said that some unexplainable tremor in my gut told me that Judge Surrick could surprise us all and rewrite voter standing as we know it. Law texts, after all, wouldn’t be so thick if the law never changed.

Enjoyed a great night of “bitter PA” high school marching band music at a competition. Great fun with kids and proud parents. We even HAD TIME, unlike BOs rallies, to hear the National Anthem!
