New Report: Reserve Supplies of Kool Aid “Dangerously Low”

The big question haunting obama campaign headquarters these days is, “Is there enough kool aid in the world to keep our troops believing and fighting for us?” Winston Churchill famously said that “rum, sodomy, and the lash” were responsible for the success of the British Navy. There may not be any sodomy or corporal punishment on Obama’s Ship of Fools (oh pipe down about Larry Sinclair, ya swabbies!), but whoo-hee! that Kool Aide is some powerful juice!

It eats your brain and forces you to repeat the same phrases over and over again: Barack, Barack, Barack. O-Ba-Ma, O-Ba-Ma. Man! It’s weird. And what’s with all his supporters referring to him by his first name? It’s like they think he knows who they are. Snap out of it! Barack has no freaking clue who you are. He does not care! Wake up! It’s really kind of creepy.

The effects of this Demon Kool Aide also include an irresistable desire to attack women. It’s weird really. Drink enough of the red juice and Blam! Your latent bullying instincts suddenly take over your brain and your will. Five minutes before you were a mild-mannered cubicle jockey splitting your time between wondering how a schmuck like you was ever going to get a piece of the late stage hyper-capitalist ACTION and checking out free porn sites on the internet while playing WoW with all your online buddies, and then BOOM! You suddenly find yourself writing emails like this to people you don’t know:

You guys are a f*cking joke. You pretend to be Democrats, but you’re really Republicans. You’re not fooling anyone. Not really.

A real Dem, or real Independent who has a brain, would not want a man who’s supported Bush 90% of the time for these past 8 years, and been a cheerleader for the unnecessary war in Iraq. That would be McCain, in case your possible Alzheimer’s brain needed reminding.

So go ahead and vote for McCain. Let’s have at least another 5-10 years of war in Iraq, an unsupported war against the Taliban and Al Queda in Afghanistan, a f*cked up economy for another 4-8 years. Why not? You’re rich, you PUMAs, so you don’t care, you’re not hurting financially. No one who’s really hurting financially is supporting McCain.

Yeah, the economy has been entirely stagnant for the past 8 years. Let’s keep that up.

Too bad you people don’t have any brains. If you don’t live in the still-backwards South, where the education of the American citizens is STILL the lowest in the country, I’m sure they’d welcome you there.

Or you click from “Hot Teen Chicks Delivered Straight to Your Door” to this IBD/TIPP Poll showing that O-Ba-MA has lost his lead over McCain and the race is now statistically tied with fully 11% of respondents still undecided (in the primaries, undecideds broke for Clinton 4 to 1 and 5 to 1). Also this year pollers are experiencing an 80% hang-up rate. In normal years the hang-up rate is around 40%. And to really get you boys, um deflated, there is also the news that even though O-Ba-MA spent millions on ACORN and other efforts to increase voter registration this year, so far polls are showing that the number of new voters casting votes for the first time is the same as it always is, around 13%. Yikes. Now that’s pretty emasculating.

Kinda makes you want to do something like THIS. Or THIS.

Not us though. We Pumas have always been repulsed by campaign violence, cheating, and intimidation. We saw enough of it first hand in Nevada and Iowa and Texas during the primaries. We were hounded from enough political blogs and online sites to realize we REALLY don’t like it when violent, bullying, cheating elements take over a campaign. In fact, that’s EXACTLY why we started the Puma Movement in the first place.

To challege people like you.

Pumas, there are 11 days left. Don’t give up and don’t give in. Here’s a suggestion I received in email this morning for something anyone can do. Get involved. You’re an American citizen.

Act like one.

Video the Vote 2008

Video the Vote is a national initiative to protect voting rights by monitoring the electoral process. We organize citizen journalists—ordinary folks like you and me—to document election problems as they occur. And then we distribute their footage to the mainstream media and online to make sure the full story of Election Day gets told. Watch our 2006 highlights and join us as we Video the Vote this November.
http://www.videothevote.org/
Another suggesion to contact your local/county campaign headquarters, and sign up to be a poll watcher! They may assign you to your own precinct or assign you to one that doesn’t already have a watcher. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!! WE MUST COVER ALL OF OUR PRECINCTS/DRISTRICTS!

I am heading out for the day, just wanted to say hello and good morning. #403BrianH, thanks for providing this info, I have saved it and cannot wait to hear what our heroes are saying!!!!!! #397 Sunshinelvr…that was “stunning” but not surprising, looks like the greedy white people are going to have their pockets picked, not a racist comment, just a factual comment.

I’ve sent out a ton of alerts to the media and got a response from Lou Dobbs. If anyone wants to call in on an issue, please do it. I sent him Billie Jo’s prowl from yesterday and all I have on Obama. If anyone wants to call in to his show and discuss anything anti-Obama, please do it.

“Thanks for your email. You make a great point, and we’d like to bring it up on the air during the show. So please give us a call at 1-877-553-6227 between 3 PM and 5 PM (Eastern Time) and let’s talk about it.

Most of all, thanks for listening, and for being part of the Independent Nation.

All the best,

Lou Dobbs and the staff of The Lou Dobbs Show”

P.S. MURPHY, all of your preambles are so great, I can only read in awe of you!! Great job as usual

I received this yesterday from VA PUMA…PLEASE HELP!

NoHillaryNoVote, on October 23rd, 2008 at 9:49 pm Said:

I am sharing this idea on several blogs this week where others are not supporting Obama.

For the record:
I am a PUMA in northern VA
I am a Black woman
I am a registered democrat
I am one of the voters who supported Hillary Clinton in the primary

AND I am not voting for Obama-Biden.

I am so tired of hearing about Obama spending big bucks to run his infomercial on October 29th by trying to blanket mainstream television airways.

I think we need to begin to promote a “Turn off Obama-TV” on October 29th. I say - Do NOT Listen to or Watch Obama’s 30 minute commercial on October 29, 2008. Obama thinks he can MAKE us listen to what he has to say by spending all that money in order to have his commercial on several networks at the same time. We do NOT have to listen. We do NOT have to support this gimmick.

Let’s all participate in: “Turn Off Obama-TV” that night. On October 29th for that specific 30 minutes: Push mute - Turn down the sound – Change the channel - or Turn off the television. Do not listen to any more of Obama’s hot air, false promises or his lies about McCain-Palin.

INSTEAD for that 30 minutes do something else with your brain cells — (here’s a few ideas)

Watch a different tv program
Watch a DVD or video
Listen to the radio
Listen to a CD
Read a book or magazine
Play a board game
Surf the web
Watch YouTube videos
Call a friend on the phone
Play a video game
Write an email to a friend
Work on one of the word games or word puzzles in the newspaper
Play the piano (or instrument of your choice)
Do some exercising
Play a card game
Work on your family’s scrapbooks
Bake Halloween cookies or cupcakes
Work on your favorite hobby

Between now and Oct 29th – Let others know that you are choosing NOT to listen to & to NOT watch Obama’s commercial. And encourage others to join in a national response to this media effort.

Please join me by choosing to turn away from Obama’s efforts to control the outcome of this election by spending so much money on a one night media blitz.

Tell all your family & friends to “Turn Off Obama-TV” on Oct. 29th!!

Great post Murphy.

For all the spynobots;

I AM a registered democrat for 33 years.

I AM a lifetime resident of OHIO, (voter fraud state thanks to ACORN and Jennifer Brunner Secretary of State).

I AM educated and a small business owner.

I AM NOT supporting Barack Obama.

I AM NOT racist, I AM wise.

I WILL be voting for McCain for the next POTUS.

Get it, got it, GOOD!

NYERS ‘SWING’ & MISS BAD OHIO VOTES NIXED

More VOTED FRAUD - But “no evidence of criminal intent” and will not pursue charges.

The ballots of four wealthy New York Democrats were yanked yesterday after they admitted they set up a temporary house in Ohio and then voted in the battleground state. (There were more than these 4)

It’s also on FOX News right now!!

#11 hoosiermike on 10.24.08 at 8:18 am

The story about the McCain campaign volunteer is just sickening. That just infuriated me. And last night I caught a news bit that was talking about the extraordinary amount of money that Soetoro is spending in this campaign. They described it as essentially a “blank check” that he has to run his ads in whatever state he wants. They talked about how grand his crowds were and blah-blah-blah….

So first thing in the morning today, I jumped on the McCain/Palin website and donated $15.00. I know that’s not much, but right now it’s all I can afford to give this week, and I desperately want to see this fraud lose. I’ve only been able to give about $30 to McCain/Palin so far, where I was able to give Hillary a lot more than that.

I would fall over rolling on the floor with laughter and glee if on Nov. 5, after spending hundreds of millions of dollars from so many clueless O-bots, Obama loses. I know it’s still possible, and I know we can influence this election. Heck, we already have in many ways, and I firmly believe if BO loses, it will be mostly due to PUMAs like us that never give up.

Here’s an idea PUMAs. Lou Dobbs (I know, CNN, ugh…) spends a lot of time talking addressing the illegal alien issue. Maybe we should sic him on ole’ Barry Soetoro. The Berg case deserves national attention on news outlets. If one covered it, then others would be pressured to follow…

#12 BrianH on 10.24.08 at 8:19 am

Personally, I think Oblabla is done like dinner.

#13 hoosiermike on 10.24.08 at 8:20 am

Anyone want to match my donation to McCain-Palin Victory 2008?

Thank you for your generous contribution of $15.00 to McCain-Palin Victory 2008. If I have the honor of standing up for you as the next President of the United States along with the conservatives in Congress, it will be because you stood by us during this historic contest.

In 2004, Axelrod worked for the presidential campaign of John Edwards. During the campaign, he lost responsibility for making ads, but continued as the campaign’s spokesman. Regarding Edwards’ failed 2004 presidential campaign, Axelrod has commented, “I have a whole lot of respect for John, but at some point the candidate has to close the deal and—I can’t tell you why—that never happened with John.”[6] [7]

In 2006, Axelrod consulted for several campaigns, including for the successful campaigns of Eliot Spitzer in New York’s gubernatorial election and for Deval Patrick in Massachusetts’s gubernatorial election. Axelrod also served in 2006 as the chief political adviser for Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chair U.S. Representative Rahm Emanuel for the U.S. House of Representatives elections, in which the Democrats gained 31 seats.

I just read in the New York Times that Acorn has vastly exaggerated their new voter regristration. They claimed on Oct. 6, that they had signed up 1.3 million new people, when in fact, it is 450,000. That is nearly 900,000 less than their claim.
Things are going our way.

#55 Henerietta on 10.24.08 at 9:36 am

I have thought for a while that the ACORN registrations will not net the Obama campaign many votes. Now that they have been caught registering the same people multiple times, those people do not dare show up to vote those multiple times. It would mean they would surely go to jail. Some people who thought they could pull of this fraud may have many, many, many second thoughts, especially since some states have already arrested individuals who allowed themselves to be serially registered.

I NEVER, EVER thought I would agree with or be listening to Rush Limbaugh. But on Fox this morning he said McCain should be out telling the truth about who got us into this finanacial mess….instead he is afraid to lash out directly at the Dems because he is worreid about losing the Independents. He referred to the info in this article which was posted on this site by someone a few weeks back. I copied it and sent it to a bunch of my liberal friends. It’s worth reposting:

************************************
Wake Up, America
By INVESTOR’S BUSINESS DAILY | Posted Monday, October 06, 2008 4:20 PM PT

A nation that doesn’t know history is destined to repeat its serious mistakes. People swayed by carefully crafted political propaganda relentlessly repeated and effectively delivered can easily lose their freedom and way of life.

——————————————————————————–

IBD Series: After The Rescue: Challenges Ahead

——————————————————————————–

How many times have you been told by soaring, almost hypnotic oratory that “the direct causes of our financial crisis and subprime real estate loan mess were the greedy banks, big corporations and the failed economic policies of George Bush”?

It’s common to blame the one in power. This time, however, it’s 100% wrong.

Every American, young or old, must be told who was really behind the subprime loan disaster that threw our economy off track and injured the good people who lost their homes — like those now boarded up in Cleveland and other major cities — plus the millions of other citizens hurt by yet another failed Big Government-run program gone awry.

In 1977, Jimmy Carter and a Democrat Congress created the Community Reinvestment Act mandating that banks make more housing loans to lower-income and inner-city borrowers. It was for a well-intended social cause and even appeared to work in the 1980s.

But in 1995, President Clinton imposed even tougher regulations that forced banks to make dramatically more subprime loans to previously unqualified people with lower credit scores in higher-risk areas.

Government regulators rated banks by how well they performed in meeting these strict new CRA obligations. Failure to comply meant stiff penalties and limits on mergers, acquisitions and expansion.

Big Government forced the lowering of long-proven safe-lending standards. Most of the more than $1 trillion of new subprime CRA loans had adjustable rates. Many required no documentation of the borrower’s income and little or no down payment.

For the first time, the Clinton regulatory rules allowed and encouraged lenders to bundle the new, riskier subprime loans with prime loans and sell these packages to other institutions. The first one hit the market in 1997. That tragic blunder let loan originators make their profits faster and eliminate any future risk for those lower-quality loans. It let them turn around and make even more CRA-type loans and sell them off in packages again, with little future risk.

It was a government-sponsored pyramid scheme, with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac providing the implied government backing by buying ever larger amounts of these risky subprimes.

Freddie and Fannie also became heavy donors to top members of Congress. These included Sen. Chris Dodd, a young Sen. Barack Obama and Rep. Barney Frank, who aggressively defended the highly leveraged, extremely risky lending against any reforms.

Ironically, the Bush administration repeatedly went to Congress in 2004, 2005 and 2006 to obtain stronger oversight and some limits on Freddie and Fannie’s reckless subprime lending. And each time, it was voted down by Democrats in Congress, led by Frank, now chairman of the Financial Services Committee.

Bottom line: This whole mess was another Big Government program created, designed and run by Democrats. It started with great intentions but resulted in typically awful unintended consequences that materially hurt the very people they were supposed to help.

Worse, this incompetence put our financial system in jeopardy. It’s reminiscent of LBJ’s two lost wars — the War in Vietnam and the War on Poverty.

Many government housing projects, though well-intended as part of LBJ’s War on Poverty, later deteriorated into slums that became recruiting grounds to get very young new gang members.

That’s how we got into this financial mess — and why the $700 billion rescue package was passed

I once belonged to a discussion board with people living abroad. Some of them actually advocate open borders between ALL countries, including the USA! They think every nation should allow anyone and everyone to come and go as they please. They say this is the ‘natural way’ the world is supposed to function. They were agast that I thought otherwise.

Guess what? These people ALL support Obama.

Sarah Palin negotiated the largest infrastructure project in the history of the united states! A $40 billion dollar natural gas pipeline!

A stupid person can’t do this kind of a deal!

She also runs an $11 billion dollar budget and 29,000 employees in Alaska. Obama has only managed to give nearly a billion dollars to the corrupt ACORN.

Need inspiration to “keep going” this morning?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdzh_M14Vo4

Let’s not give up now folks! We have to win this election and defeat BHO. Failure is not an option….we’ve tasted defeat once when the ONC cast us and Hillary off to the side!

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to feel that extreme disappointment and grief again that we felt during the roll call vote at the convention.

Let’s keep going. No one else is going to defeat Obama. WE have to. WE are the ones that have worked so hard and come so far, and with only 11 days to go, now is definitely not the time to slack off.

We need to double our efforts to sway every undecided voter we can reach to vote for McCain, and instill doubt in the minds of those leaning towards BHO. Let them see the truth about this fraudulent, sorry excuse for a candidate.

I’ve been also donating whenever I can to the McCain-Palin Victory 2008 fund. It’s frustrating that BHO is outspending McCain 4-1 and more across the U.S. and we have to see and hear his trash every day on the TV and radio.

Let’s make the difference in this last week and a half!

If you hear the dogs, keep going. If you see the torches in the woods, keep going! If there’s shouting after you, keep going! Don’t ever stop! Keep going. If you want a taste of freedom, keep going!

Good Morning PUMAs. I’ve been staying away from TV and the media in general. I’m so disgusted. It seems like it’s a foregone conclusion that BO will / has won. He’s strutting around like he’s already the winner. Just makes me feel more contempt for him.

This weeks Newsweek has a cover story:
How a President Obama might govern a center-right nation

If no one can see the contradiction in this then we’ve all been secretly given mind altering drugs. If America is a center-right nation, why would the majority of Americans vote for someone who is so extremely on the left? There are two possibilities if BO is “elected”. That Americans are just plain stupid. Or the more likely scenario, that this is all fixed.

I’ll be stopping at the McCain headquarters in Keene, NH today - I have some errands to run in that area. I’m bringing those flyers with me and I’ll be sure to wear my Demcrats for McCain pin. We have a little over a week left, but there still may be hope.

Pat Buchanan on the Media.

P.S. I voted for Pat Buchanan for President on one issue alone, illegal immigration, which I am rabid about. He was going to put a moratorium on legal immigration for 5 years. We have too many people coming here and we need to stabilize the country. Obama is planning to give illegals drivers licenses, medical care, and the like.

As a registered Dem, I can tell you I have crossed party lines many times. I note on this blog some of you have never crossed party lines. I usually vote issues that matter to me. That is why I think “Joe the Plumber” will be a huge boost for McCain.

Good Grief! That email Murphy has in the header is disgusting! Apparently that koolaid drinker doesn’t know that Obama voted “present” on all of the important bills, and the rest voted 97% of the time with Pelosi, Reid, and the rest of that “pack”. To make matter worse, he forgot that the economy was GOOD for the first 6 years of Bush’s presidency (with the exception of the time after 9/11, which would wreck the economy after ANY president); and only got bad after the dems took over the congress 2 years ago! The emailer also doesn’t grasp what Biden said, and how having Obama as president would cause an international crisis that we wouldn’t have with a president McCain- and that Obama’s decision would be one we wouldn’t agree with!!! That emailer also doesn’t understand how much more important it is to save our country than to be loyal to a party! Drinking the koolaid has numbed his brain so it can’t think with any sense or logic anymore…. I feel bad for him, losing his brain like that. Sounds like a candidate to go see the “Wizard of Oz”..

She put NObama’s professional liar, Bill Burton, in his place on her Fox News segment — wouldn’t let him get away with his usual, slippery BS. We never thought we’d be here, but we are.
On June 8, a group of Hillary’s most ardent supporters formed a coalition called Just Say No Deal. What followed was a viral explosion which grew organically and virtually. We put our families, jobs, reputations and even, in some cases, our lives and safety on the line, to stand up and speak out in the media against the corruption of the DNC and the thuggery of the Obama Campaign and ACORN. The abuse inflicted upon Hillary supporters in the blogosphere and on the trail is now being felt by McCain supporters. And as a female candidate, Sarah Palin is getting a taste of what ‘Our Gal’ went through.

Just Say No Deal is made up of ordinary Americans: moms, soldiers, doctors, nurses, waitresses, landscapers, bankers, delegates, election judges, precinct chairs, professors… and yes, even plumbers. Google ‘we will not be silenced’ and hear their stories for yourself!

****UPDATE: PLEASE Do Not Call the Courthouse******
************** about Phil Berg Case *************

Wednesday, October 22, 2008

First, a reminder: DO NOT CALL THE COURTHOUSE! I have spent a half-dozen years building relationships there, and do NOT want to see these people pestered. Is that clear?

Second, I was told yesterday afternoon that the order would likely be coming down either late yesterday–5:30 to 6:00 p.m.–or some time this morning. Obviously, Judge Surrick has the final word on this, and if he feels that he is not satisfied with his memorandum, especially considering the number of new filings this week, it may be later.

Regardless, news will come here as soon as I get it.

Incidentally, Philip Berg was on Michael Savage’s radio program last night and spoke about taped evidence, and sworn affidavits, that he has showing Obama’s paternal grandmother in Kenya saying that she was present in the delivery room for his birth. I know for a fact that Berg does indeed have tapes of this kind in his possession — but as the parts I heard were in a language I did not understand [and he was in the process of having translated], I cannot attest for sure that the tapes contain what Berg contends.

For now, that’s all. Keep checking here, and if something does indeed happen, you’ll at least hear basics right away.

It’s always possible that the incident didn’t happen. BUT the article that you posted doesn’t say anything about the police not believing her.

In fact, this is what it says at the end.

“Police said she described the attacker as black, about 6-foot-4, and said he was wearing dark-colored jeans and a black tank top. She said he had a knife with a 5-inch blade and ran from the scene on foot, Harper said.

“We are treating this as a credible report,” he said.

The ATM has a security camera, and investigators were trying to watch the video.”

#111 Headclunker on 10.24.08 at 10:30 am

I have been posting about the Pittsburg victim and the only push back I have been getting is that the “B” is “backwards”. Some claim that indicates she drew it in the mirror but her story is that she was on the ground with him sitting on her. Contrary to hyp, there is no report he was directly facing her.

****WOW! More MSM in the Tank Alert ****

Confirmed: MSM Holds Video Of Barack Obama Attending Jew-Bash & Toasting a Former PLO Operative… Refuse to Release the Video!

snip -

On Wednesday I talked with Peter Wallsten from the Los Angeles Times about the article on Obama and Khalidi:

Wallston was one of the few mainstream media reporters to report on this radical Obama associate.

Wallston said that the article was written after he watched video taken at the Khalidi going away party. When I asked him about the video he said that as far as he was concerned he was through with the story.

I asked him if he was planning on releasing this video of Obama toasting the radical Khalidi at this Jew-bash. He told me he was not releasing the video. He also would not comment on his source for the video. Wallston also said he did not know if Khalidi’s good friend Bill Ayers was at the event or not.

So, there you have it.

The LA Times has video of Obama toasting a former PLO operative at a Jew-bash but will not release the video.
This is outrageous.

Obviously, this video would do great damage to Obama who struggles with Jewish voters due to his circle of close anti-Semitic friends.

This economy is not in favor of NObama and the Democratic Party, in fact it is frightening to have Democratic lead Congress and Democrat President, it would move this country towards DEPRESSION due to new spending of NObama amounting to another trillion dollars and his TAX INCREASE!

Testing Obama’s mettle

By Caroline B. Glick

http://www.JewishWorldReview.com | In a week and a half, American voters will elect the next US President. Their decision will impact the entire world.

Democratic nominee Senator Barack Obama now enjoys a significant lead in the polls against Republican presidential candidate Senator John McCain. For McCain to win, a lot of Obama supporters will need to reassess their choice for president. This week, Obama’s running-mate Senator Joseph Biden gave Obama supporters a good reason to change their minds.

In much-reported remarks to campaign donors in Seattle on Sunday, Biden warned that if Obama is elected to the White House, it will take America’s adversaries no time at all to test him. In his words, “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama … The world is looking … Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate.” Biden then continued, “And he’s gonna need help …We’re gonna need you to use your influence …within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.” Many commentators have minimized the importance of Biden’s remarks by claiming that all new leaders are tested.

But this is not exactly correct. World leaders test their adversaries when they perceive them as weak. When Dwight D. Eisenhower was elected US president in 1952, the Soviet Union did not move quickly to test the man who had led Allied Forces in World War II. When Ronald Reagan was elected president in 1980, the Iranian regime released the US hostages it had held for a year and a half. In speaking as he did, Biden essentially acknowledged three things. First, he recognized that Obama projects an image of weakness and naivete internationally that invite America’s adversaries to challenge him.

Second, by stating that if Obama is tested a crisis will ensue, Biden made clear that Obama will fail the tests he is handed as a newly inaugurated president. After all, when an able leader is tested, he acts wisely and secures his nation’s interests while averting a crisis. Finally, Biden made clear that Obama’s failure will be widely noted, and hence, “it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.”

In light of Biden’s dire warning about his running-mate, the central question that Americans ought to be asking themselves is whether or not Biden is correct. Is it true that Obama projects a posture of weakness and incompetence internationally and is it likely that this posture reflects reality? Unfortunately, it appears that Biden knows exactly what he is talking about. Take Iran for example. Obama has stated outright, that if he is elected US president, he will offer to conduct direct negotiations with his Iranian counterpart President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad without preconditions.

Yet two weeks ago, the Iranians made clear that their dispute with America is not about who occupies the White House, but about the nature the US. Speaking to the official Iranian news service IRNA two weeks ago, Iranian Vice President for Media Affairs Mehdi Kalhor stipulated that Iran will only agree to meet with a US leader after America has bowed to Teheran’s will. In his words, Iran will refuse to hold such high-level talks “for as long as US forces have not left the Middle East region, and [the US] continues its support for the Zionist regime.” Kalhor explained, “It is stupidity to hold talks without any change in US attitudes.”

After naming its price, Iran has since done its best to make its preconditions palatable for an Obama administration. This it has done by claiming that it will not attack the US, it will only attack Israel. Just after Kalhor’s interview, Seyed Safavi, a senior advisor to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei told a diplomatic audience in London that Iranian leadership circles are now debating the option of attacking Israel without attacking US forces in the region. Safavi added that chances for direct negotiations between the US and Iran will increase if Obama is elected. Alluding to Kalhor’s remarks, Safavi claimed that sanctions against Iran have failed and that if the US expects Iran to stop enriching uranium, it will have to take “firm and significant” steps in Iran’s direction.

Then on Wednesday, in a visit to US-ally Bahrain, the speaker of the Iranian parliament Ali Larijani gave Obama the regime’s official endorsement. Larijani said, “We are leaning more in favor of Barack Obama because he is more flexible and rational.”

Iran’s pre-US election behavior indicates that Iran will waste no time testing Obama’s mettle. Iran is behaving as if it fully expects Obama to do what his supporter Rev. Jesse Jackson expects him to do. That is, like Jackson, Iran expects Obama to end “Zionist control” of US foreign policy. And to aid the process, the Iranians are willing to leave US forces in Iraq and Afghanistan alone as they attack Israel with their nascent nuclear arsenal shortly after Obama is inaugurated.

In his remarks on Sunday Biden made clear that he does not believe that Obama will agree to use the US military to confront Iran or any other enemy. His rejection of the use of force is not due to a sense that force is not necessary. Rather it is due to his dim assessment of America’s military capabilities. In his words, “We do not have the military capacity, nor have we ever, quite frankly, in the last 20 years, to dictate outcomes. … It’s so much more complicated than that. And Barack gets it.”

Given the Democratic ticket’s belief that the US military is too weak to protect American interests, it could be expected that Obama and Biden would support strengthening the US military. But the opposite is the case. Obama has called for slashing the US military budget, cutting back the US’s anti-missile programs and scaling back drastically the US nuclear arsenal. That is, although Obama has claimed that he will never take the option of the use of force off the table, by refusing to strengthen the US military which he perceives as weak, he is making certain that the US military option is ineffectual.

In certain respects, if Americans elect Obama to lead them on November 4, they will be repeating the decision of Israeli voters who elected Prime Minister Ehud Olmert to lead them in March 2006. Like Obama, Olmert ran on a platform of appeasing Israel’s enemies.

In addition to his plan to curtail US military options by decreasing US military budgets, Obama’s appeasement platform includes his pledge to abandon the Bush administration’s sole foreign policy success in its second term by pulling US forces out of Iraq. He has also promised to exacerbate Bush’s second term policy failures by expanding the outgoing administration’s penchant for courting US adversaries.

In 2006 Olmert’s electoral platform included a nave and defeatist pledge to unilaterally withdraw Israeli civilians and military forces from Judea and Samaria. As for Iran, Olmert’s policy was to abdicate Israel’s responsibility to prevent its own destruction by relying on the Americans and the Europeans to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Biden’s warning that Obama will be tested and found wanting by America’s adversaries almost immediately after entering office echoes warnings by politicians and commentators in the lead-up to Olmert’s electoral victory in 2006. As subsequent events showed, Olmert’s critics were correct.

Olmert was tested and found wanting when in July 2006 Iran’s Hizbullah proxy went to war against Israel. Just as Olmert’s political opponents warned, and Israel’s enemies expected, Olmert’s naive perception of international affairs, his strategic incompetence and his exaggerated view of his own importance caused him to fail abjectly when his country needed him.

Largely due to Olmert’s weakness and poor judgment, Israel was defeated by Hizbullah. And Israel’s defeat fomented a radical reordering of the regional balance of power in Iran’s favor. Hizbullah took over Lebanon. Hamas took over Gaza. Syria is being feted by the Europeans. Iran stands in the doorway of the nuclear club.

Olmert’s failure not only strengthened Israel’s enemies, it caused its own allies to reassess its value. After the war, the Bush administration embraced Europe’s failed strategy of appeasing Iran and the Palestinians. Washington eschewed confrontation with Teheran and has renewed its push to compel Israel to withdraw from Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem despite the certainty that any territory Israel vacates will fall under the control of Hamas and Iran.

Iran will likely be the first US adversary to test a president Obama. And Obama will have no idea what to do. While Obama has stated repeatedly that a nuclear-armed Iran is a “game-changer” Obama’s own rulebook for international relations has no relevance for dealing with Iran’s game.

Obama views international relations as a creature of American will. If America is nice to others, they will be nice to America. But the fact of the matter is that regimes like Iran hate the US regardless of how it behaves. The only question with strategic relevance for Washington is whether the Iranians also fear the US. And Obama has given them no reason to fear him. To the contrary, he has given them reason to believe that under his leadership, the mullahs can defeat America.

America stands to elect its new president in times of nearly unprecedented dangers. Iran is on the threshold of nuclear weapons. Thanks to the Bush administration, North Korea now feels free to vastly expand its nuclear proliferation activities. Oil rich states like Venezuela, Russia and Iran recognize that with global oil prices decreasing, now is the time to strike before they are impoverished. And the international economic turmoil will cause Western nations to recoil from international confrontations and so embolden rogue states to attack their interests.

For Israel, this state of affairs could not be more dire. As these threats mount, we find ourselves bereft of political leadership. Although Olmert has finally resigned, he remains in office as the caretaker prime minister until someone forms a new government. In the best case scenario, elections will be called and Olmert will remain in office for the next four to six months. In the worst case scenario, he will be replaced by Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni.

Like Obama and Olmert, Livni is perceived as weak and incompetent by Israel’s enemies. Unlike Obama, Livni is judged not only by her words, but by her deeds. As foreign minister, Livni was an architect of the ceasefire with Hizbullah under which Hizbullah has taken control of Lebanon and rearmed. She is an architect of Israel’s current policy of expanding the Hamas terror state to Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem. She is an architect of Israel’s policy of doing nothing to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

The prospect of an Obama-Livni partnership in policy failure is enough to keep men and women of good faith up at night. Certainly it should suffice to convince some Obama supporters to reconsider their options.

# 101: God, don’t let this be true! Hopefully, she will take a polygraph!

As horrific as it can be to not be believed, I’ve volunteered for them, gladly!

It’s quite telling when the perpetrator (or accusers-defendants) won’t take one, or their lawyer says: “Well, those results are not admissible in court.”

…but the fact that she took one -and/or the perpetrator (if caught) refused one, is!

…it also helps the police stay motivated in looking for and finding the suspect.

God, I hope this isn’t “a drastic measure” on her part.

‘I made a mistake,’ admits Greenspan
By Alan Beattie and James Politi in Washington

Published: October 23 2008 17:37 | Last updated: October 23 2008 21:26

Alan Greenspan, the former Federal Reserve chairman, said on Thursday the credit crisis had exceeded anything he had imagined and admitted he was wrong to think that banks would protect themselves from financial market chaos.

“I made a mistake in presuming that the self-interest of organisations, specifically banks and others, was such that they were best capable of protecting their own shareholders,” he said.

the second of two days of tense hearings on Capitol Hill, Henry Waxman, chairman of the House of Representatives, clashed with current and former regulators and with Republicans on his own committee over blame for the financial crisis.

Mr Waxman said Mr Greenspan’s Federal Reserve – along with the Securities and Exchange Commission and the US Treasury – had propagated “the prevailing attitude in Washington… that the market always knows best.”

Mr Waxman blamed the Fed for failing to curb aggressive lending practices, the SEC for allowing credit rating agencies to operate under lax standards and the Treasury for opposing “responsible oversight” of financial derivatives.

Christopher Cox, chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, defended himself, saying that virtually no one had foreseen the meltdown of the mortgage market, or the inadequacy of banking capital standards in preventing the collapse of institutions such as Bear Stearns.

Mr Waxman accused the SEC chairman of being wise after the event. “Mr Cox has come in with a long list of regulations he wants… But the reality is, Mr Cox, you weren’t doing that beforehand.”

Mr Cox blamed the fact that congressional responsibility was divided between the banking and financial services committees, which regulate banking, insurance and securities, and the agriculture committees, which regulate futures.

“This jurisdictional split threatens to for ever stand in the way of rationalising the regulation of these products and markets,” he said.

Mr Greenspan accepted that the crisis had “found a flaw” in his thinking but said that the kind of heavy regulation that could have prevented the crisis would have damaged US economic growth. He described the past two decades as a “period of euphoria” that encouraged participants in the financial markets to misprice securities.

He had wrongly assumed that lending institutions would carry out proper surveillance of their counterparties, he said. “I had been going for 40 years with considerable evidence that it was working very well”.

Republicans on the committee dissented from some of the Democratic attacks, and said the government-backed housing entities Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae had also been to blame.

“It wasn’t deregulation that allowed this crisis,” said Tom Davis, the senior Republican on the committee. “It was the mish-mash of regulations and regulators, each with too narrow a view of increasingly integrated national and global markets.”

Mr Greenspan said that when, as Fed chairman, he declined to advocate regulating credit default swaps – derivatives that have been blamed for worsening the crisis – he had been following the will of Congress.

In the news I’ve posted : “Mr Cox blamed the fact that congressional responsibility was divided between the banking and financial services committees, which regulate banking, insurance and securities, and the agriculture committees, which regulate futures. “

Chairman of those two Committees are Christopher Dodd and Barney Frank, both are DEMOCRATS!

Just to illustrate where the Berg case and Andy Martin has surfaced on the Internet, I occasionally go out to a site, Fourwinds10.com. They post a lot of controversial articles….some pretty far out. They used to post a lot of anti Bush stuff. I hadn’t looked at the site in months but they have several very long postings on what is going on with the Andy Martin story and Berg case.
Interesting……

The reason the police might think the B on the girl’s face may be self inflicted is that it is backwards. That could indicate it having been done by her, using a mirror. Some artists have done self portraits using a mirror, and left appears to be right, making the portrait a mirror image rather than a correct face on portrait. This is how some people can tell a self portrait from one done by someone else.

If the perpetrator had shoved her to the ground and put the mark on her face, it would likely have been going in the right direction, but if her held her with his arm around the neck, the mark would have been upside down and backwards. I looked at the photo again, and it does appear to be upside down, though it may just be my own reading of the photo. There are other marks on the other cheek, which would indicate a struggle.

My conclusion: I don’t know if it is real or self inflicted.

I have been so mad about what happened to the young woman in Pittsburg and how the O’bots are trying to discredit her that I have been posting every board I can.

There is a honk O’bot group that gathers on Friday on a corner that is on my way to work. I was so mad today, that I made two NoBama signs, put them on the sides of my car and drove by twice honking my horn.
