If Sarah Palin had tried to campaign in the wardrobe she has hanging in her closet in Juno, you know, the Ann Taylor suits that cost $148.99 and the three or four pairs of $200 shoes, the 4 jackets, six scarves, five handbags, and one pair of snazzy but scuffed gen-yoo-ine snakeskin boots with which every professional woman with children tries to look good while making do, she would have been HOUNDED RELENTLESSLY and ridiculed as a shabby, amateur hick in every media outlet in the universe. Just ask Michelle Obama. A very stylish lady, in my opinion. But nothing protects her either. She is ridiculed and hounded for wearing belts that are too big, dresses with floral prints, and scary boots. She probably spends a LOT of money on her clothes. And why not? She’s a very wealthy woman. Cindy McCain has made getting dressed a full-time job since she was 7 or 8 years old. She looks great, perfect even. At all times. It’s a bit scary actually. And Hillary? Cleavage, kitten heels, and pantsuits. Enough said.

An impossible standard is raised and we are all expected to bankrupt ourselves to meet it — to spend a phenomenally STUPID amount of money on clothes and accessories, to hate the way we look in order to motivate ourselves to BUY MORE, and to feel shamed and ugly when we cannot or will not play the game.
The Palin’s combined income in 2007 was $170,000, with $25,000 going to taxes and $8,000 to charity. That means $11,500 a month net for a family of seven. Not bad. All the bills get paid on time, presents fill the room on Christmas morning, college gets saved for, Dad gets a snowmobile, and Mom can buy a reasonable amount of clothes every year to do her job. In 2006, their net monthly income for their family of six was $9,833. And it was less in the years prior to 2006. A nice, comfortable two-salary family in this day and age.
But NOT enough to dress like Cindy McCain, or Mika Brezhnev, or Andrea Mitchell, or Candy Crowley, or Michelle Obama.
Sarah Palin is an upper middle class WORKING CLASS person. No one so “poor” has run for national office in 150 years. I have always found the AOL straw poll to be the most accurate internet poll. The users that participate are comprised of 300,000 to 500,000 people from all walks of life, male/female, dems/reps.
This poll has always shown McCain winning by a huge amount. A few weeks ago I stopped participating in the poll because the Bots finally got to it. I saw it being hacked into right before my eyes. As I refreshed the page the numbers were being manipulated. We all know that the Bots have been hacking and manipulating all internet polls.
WELL….AOL has put new security in and once again the poll shows McCain winning 55% to 43% so far with just under 175,000 votes. It also shows McCain taking 428 to 110 electoral votes.
AOL straw poll has been correct in the last 3 elections. These numbers fit more in line with what we all know. McCain’s campaign has realized the polls are being fudged. He has been basing his strategy on the polls and normally would have given up on PA, but they are on to the Bots now.

Therefore, I am asking that the Senator Committee on Rules and Administration officially disqualify Mr. Obama from the General Election and void all ballots with his name on it. America cannot afford a Constitutional crisis if this issue is not immediately addressed.
Someone in our government must take responsibility for this horrible situation we are in. It appears that no one wants to do the job. Media reporting that “Old Repubs” will lose their jobs in Congress. Well, for the first time ever I’m voting all Repub down ticket. Can’t take a chance with anything else. I know one of the first things McCain will do in office is have everyone involved in the financial crisis, dems and repubs, investigated and prosecuted.

It was mentioned on Fox News this morning that Pennyslvania governor Ed Rendell who is a Democrat and supporting Obama, is asking Obama to spend more time in his state. Even though the polls that are published everywhere indicate a comfortable lead for Obama in Pennsylvania, the Democratic governor is obviously worried.
As such, let’s continue to do what the McCain campaign has asked us to do — canvassing and phone-banking. They need the NYC area group to pounce on Allentown, PA to do canvassing on Sat Oct 25th. As I have mentioned before, the NYC area group has been very successful canvassing in Scranton, PA and they now want to take our success to Allentown, PA. The bus leaves Penn Station in NYC (31st, between 7th & 8th Ave) at 9am on Sat and Sun.
Also, we would like to give SPECIAL recognition of the successful efforts of all of you who have been phone-banking to Pennsylvania. I just called and requested a refund of my contributions to the Hillary campaign. I was told by the woman who answered the phone that only contributions to the general election would be refunded, not contributions to the primary election. I explained to her that I was requesting a refund as a protest to the fact that Hillary is campaigning actively for Obama and that I was supporting Hillary in the primary, precisely because I did not want Obama to win the nomination. She was very polite but seemed to be in a hurry to get off the phone. It sounded as though the request for a refund was not a shock to her, so I imagine they’ve received enough requests to make an impression.
I am really sorry to have to make that call, but I wanted my voice to be heard. I also think it’s strange to refund only general election contributions, because if you contributed afer the nomination you had to know that Hillary was going to stump for the Evil One. It was before the nomination that you would have expected her NOT to be so active in supporting him. Really, though, it is definitely not about the money. I told the lady that even if she couldn’t send me a refund, I wanted the information sent forward that this was a protest move on my part.

I will consider supporting Hillary with a contribution in the future if the opportunity arises and if BO is not in the picture.
The law is very clear, a candidate MUST REFUND campaign contribution within a year from time of donation if the donor ask for it. It has NOTHING to do with primary or general election.

As the Ranking Member of the Senate Rules Committee, would it not be your responsibility to investigate this situation and ensure that Sen. Obama is, in fact, qualified to be President? We simply cannot wait for this situation to drag through the courts. If Sen. Obama wins the election and it is later determined via the courts that he is not eligible to serve and has falsified his eligibility affidavits, then Joe Biden will be the President. Obviously, this is not the will of the people since he has run for President several times unsuccessfully. Please help resolve this situation quickly before the election.

The democrat talking heads are trying hard to convince the viewers that Biden’s announcement of Obama being tested in the first six months of his presidency “is what all americans know.” Huh?
Why did Biden make this announcement to a small group of fundraisers — if it is information that we all know and we are all expecting a disaster then why aren’t Obama and Biden shouting it from the stumps in stead of the back rooms? Why was Biden taken off the campaign for a day — was it for “reprogramming”– an Obama spokesperson said that no plans had been made for that day. Huh? Two weeks before the election and Biden has no scheduled events?

Police departments in cities across the country are beefing up their ranks for Election Day, preparing for possible civil unrest and riots after the historic presidential contest.
Public safety officials said in interviews with The Hill that the election, which will end with either the nation’s first black president or its first female vice president, demanded a stronger police presence.
Some worry that if Barack Obama loses and there is suspicion of foul play in the election, violence could ensue in cities with large black populations. Others based the need for enhanced patrols on past riots in urban areas (following professional sports events) and also on Internet rumors.
Democratic strategists and advocates for black voters say they understand officers wanting to keep the peace, but caution that excessive police presence could intimidate voters.
Sen. Obama (Ill.), the Democratic nominee for president, has seen his lead over rival Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) grow in recent weeks, prompting speculation that there could be a violent backlash if he loses unexpectedly.
Cities that have suffered unrest before, such as Detroit, Chicago, Oakland and Philadelphia, will have extra police deployed.
In Oakland, the police will deploy extra units trained in riot control, as well as extra traffic police, and even put SWAT teams on standby.
“Are we anticipating it will be a riot situation? No. But will we be prepared if it goes awry? Yes,” said Jeff Thomason, spokesman for the Oakland Police Department.

We received THREE phone call’s from the Obama camp yesterday two from our city we live in and one from another state. My husband who was upstairs painting took 2 of them and we received one during our son-in-laws birthday party. They were all amused about that one they didn’t realize how much information we had in our little heads most of it by the way came from this site, because I keep my hubby informed about things from here. My philosophy in writing to senators and congressmen and all, is to get the Berg info out there. During the Democratic primaries, Hillary Clinton won Florida by an overwhelming majority. Then, the Democratic Party decided to punish Florida for holding their primary early: the delegates were given only a half a vote. Senator Obama approved. After all, there were rules.
After it appeared that Obama would become the party’s nominee (after massive caucus fraud and relentless pressure on super delegates), the party reversed its decision. Realizing they could not afford to alienate a huge base of support and lose Florida in the general election, they reinstated full votes to the Florida delegation. Senator Obama approved. Apparently and conveniently, the rules no longer matter.
If this manipulative travesty wasn’t enough, at the convention, the pledged delegate’s votes did not ultimately reflect the will of the people, handing Senator Obama a win that was not his.
Who among us can abide such corruption? What does it mean when we say that we are willing to tolerate such abuse of democratic processes?
I cannot support a candidate who was selected and not elected. I am a Democratic who will proudly cast my vote for John McCain on Election Day. I urge my fellow Floridians to do the same.

Florida Governor Charlie Crist says the state is investigating whether thousands of felons are on the voting rolls who shouldn’t be.
Last year the state cabinet voted to automatically restore the civil rights of more than 130,000 non-violent offenders.
A recent newspaper investigation found 30,000 felons who are still banned from voting are registered to cast ballots on Election Day.
Governor Charlie Crist says he has confidence that Secretary of State Kurt Browning will handle the problem.
Browning says there’s a good chance some of the ineligible voters will cast ballots on Election Day.

The Palin’s have earned above the median income for most of the past 15 years. This means they are in the UPPER part of the middle class.
They have five children, which means BOTH parents have to work FULL TIME or more to maintain a MIDDLE CLASS lifestyle.
People who have to WORK every day to PAY THE BILLS are working class. ALL of the middle class are also working class. They have to go to work every day to pay the bills.
SO, Sarah and Todd Palin have a comfortable, upper middle class COMBINED income. Salaries for which they have to WORK every day to earn.
Everyone else who has run for national office in the last century or so was NOT working class. Their bills were paid by :

income from wealthy spouses
Sarah Palin has NONE of these advantages. She is astonishing in this regard actually.

I actually think much of the conversation about class in America is utterly skewed, if for no other reason than the fact that the poverty line has remained steady for so many years that if it was set too low to begin with, it is pitifully low now. BUT, if the povery line were raised to reflect true struggles of survival, it would capture so many so-called blue collar Americans who would not want to be considered to be below the “poverty” line.
In fact, there are interesting studies whereby a first generation immigrant woman who works a labor sort of job and then lands an office job, feels she is moving up the ladder, economically, when, in reality in many cases, she is actually earning less and so forth. But, the image of an office job feels more middle class.
Class issues are loaded up with so much that’s f******* up, from where the poverty line is set to the psychological impact of one sort of job as compared to another.
(Ugh, this is how it’s easy to get drawn into the blog, which I cannot afford to do. Back to meeting my Republican neighbors and lighting a fire under them.)
BTW, I forwarded the hypnosis piece that was posted yesterday to the editor of an online publication as I thought he would find it interesting. He has taken it upon himself to have it reviewed by an expert. Will get back to everyone once/if I hear back.

Read the Bergs filings he addresses the issue at length.The question is does the federal court have an obligation to intervene if the parties that can act (the DNC and the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration) can’t or won’t remedy the situation on their own. Berg is trying to demonstrate that in fact the injury is great enough to justify the federal courts be involved and to give him standing. That is the primary crux of the case. If you did some research beyond a couple of googles you might not have wasted our time.

You could use the spreadsheet to print out labels as well, I believe.

I think Mass has 11 electorial votes and is very Democratic. although I know for a fact that the dems do voter fraud every election. putting that aside.

Where do you think progressive democracy/socialism (or whatever they call it) comes from? re: Palin’s salary, I think it’s critical not to take her salary out of proper context. She lives in Alaska.
The fact that it’s “not urban” doesn’t mean it’s a cheap place to live– in fact cost of living there is far above average- comparable and even above most cities here. You can’t compare an Alaskan’s salary to the Lower 48, not fairly. They may have more to work with than some others, but it also won’t go as far where they live. Same as I make a decent wage on paper, but for where I live, it costs >half my salary to rent a studio. Sure I could get a lot more for my money in IA, but I wouldn’t make as much either. Wages tend to be relative to cost of living.
With energy, shipping, transportation costs as they are in AK, prices are higher. Costs for groceries is way above the national average– and with a family of 7, that’s going to take an especially big bite out of the salary right there.

Well, since money isn’t raised exclusively for breast cancer, I’m not sure what you’re implying.
If my request offended you, I apologize. My sister-in-law asked me to help with this so I’m asking all of my friends, both male and female to help. Maybe I’m wrong to assume this, but I consider some PUMAs to be my friends. This is the only site that I blog on, and there are many woman here who I thought might want to help with this worthy cause too.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so the mentioned site is providing free mammograms to women who have no insurance and can’t afford a mammogram on their own. My grandmother had Breast Cancer so this is a cause near to my heart. From what remember from nursing school, women face about a 13% lifetime risk of developing breast cancer, that’s about 1 in 7. Risk for ovarian cancer is about 1.5%. Breast cancer survivors are at higher risk for ovarian cancer. Early detection has been proven to save lives, which is why mammograms and self-examinations are so important.
Even though Ovarian and Endometrial Cancer are not as common as Breast Cancer, research and early detection are equally as important. Breast Cancer research may seem like the only cancer that gets funded for research, but that’s a myth. There’s research funds set up for Ovarian and Endometrial Cancer too, Google it and you will find some organizations.

When you go shopping in Alaska and spend $100.00, you leave the grocery with one plastic bag for your grocery. It was normal for me to spend $2,000/month for groceries while living in Alaska not counting gas at the pump that is so expensive. When it comes to utilities, the price is up the roof. If your heater is gas, you’re lucky, your bill would be cheap, but if you’re using electricity for heating your home during winter time, the average bill a month is not less than $500.00.

I live in Florida and have been avoiding the phone. But I made the mistake of picking one up that was for some BO Volenteer thing I has some how gotten signed up for. I was very polite but explained that I had changed my mind about supporting BO and told her why. She was not cool about it at all and said something about “more of the same for the next 8 years and hung up.” That is BO’s ground crew.

In googling the topic, I couldn’t find a webpage that lists all states and when they each start early voting, but by scrolling down the Google results, I could see that many states have already started… especially for the mail in ballots.

I hope you’re right, michelina, but so far they’ve ripped into McCain and Palin (especially Palin) and pretty much tip-toed around Obama….As we all know Obama pretty much has no sense of humor, unless it’s to make jokes about not really being born in a manger but instead actually being born on Krypton and sent to earth to save the planet, etc.

However, my find yesterday was sent to all media and McCain’s HQ. I sent several times to Hannity and last night I saw this when he was talking about the audio they found of ayers speaking in 2002. Voting is going on NOW in Ohio, there was never a six day window. I just called and asked the Lucas County board of elections, I asked what was the purpose of an election day if you could vote at anytime, I was answered with the normal bullshit, people don’t want to wait in lines, etc….I also asked how long this early voting has been in play since this was the first year I have heard of it, she said this IS the first year this has been done….

Here is a creative approach to redistribution of wealth as offered by a reader of the local newspaper, the Eagle Tribune.
Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign the read “Vote Obama, I need the money.” I laughed.
Once in the restaurant my server had on a “Obama 08″ tie, again I laughed–just imagine the coincidence.
When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need–the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.
I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful.
At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.
I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.

During the Democratic primaries, Hillary Clinton won Florida by an overwhelming majority. Then, the Democratic Party decided to punish Florida for holding their primary early: the delegates were given only a half a vote. Senator Obama approved. After all, there were rules.
After it appeared that Obama would become the party’s nominee (after massive caucus fraud and relentless pressure on super delegates), the party reversed its decision. Realizing they could not afford to alienate a huge base of support and lose Florida in the general election, they reinstated full votes to the Florida delegation. Senator Obama approved. Apparently and conveniently, the rules no longer matter.
If this manipulative travesty wasn’t enough, at the convention, the pledged delegate’s votes did not ultimately reflect the will of the people, handing Senator Obama a win that was not his.
Who among us can abide such corruption? What does it mean when we say that we are willing to tolerate such abuse of democratic processes?
I cannot support a candidate who was selected and not elected. I am a Democratic who will proudly cast my vote for John McCain on Election Day. I urge my fellow Floridians to do the same.

I got into trouble. Had done only about 15 cars when security came & stopped me. Apparently, The Airport & Parking towers have a no leafletting rule. Was told I’d be arrested. Was told also if any of those cars alarms had gone off, I’d be arrested for vandalism….
Don’t know whether the Security guards were partisan, but I decided I wouldn’t wanna give them an excuse to put me in cuffs……..

THOUGHT EXPERIMENT: What if instead of using the word “change,” Barack Obama had all this time instead been saying “revolution”? Would he still be the front-runner? Doubtful. Remember: This is the “experienced” half of the ticket, the guy supposedly ready to take over as commander-in-chief at the drop of a hat — yet he’s suddenly in hiding from the press. Trust me, I can understand why the press isn’t exactly flying into fits of rage of his sudden silence, but does this still mean Palin’s qualifications are what Americans need to be questioning?
PREDICTION: If Sarah Palin keeps giving speeches like she did yesterday in Reno, Nev., her conservative critics (like Peggy Noonan) will be eating their words by Election Day. Palin quoted Biden’s now-infamous remark that an international crisis will develop within six months of an Obama presidency, seizing on his line that he already knows of “four or five places” where the trouble could get started. After giving four examples of how an Obama administration would worsen certain global conflicts, Palin let loose this zinger, “But I guess the looming crisis that most worries the Obama campaign right now is Joe Biden’s next speaking engagement.” If she keeps this up, the race could end with Team Obama crawling to the finish line.

If Sarah Palin had tried to campaign in the wardrobe she has hanging in her closet in Juno, you know, the Ann Taylor suits that cost $148.99 and the three or four pairs of $200 shoes, the 4 jackets, six scarves, five handbags, and one pair of snazzy but scuffed gen-yoo-ine snakeskin boots with which every professional woman with children tries to look good while making do, she would have been HOUNDED RELENTLESSLY and ridiculed as a shabby, amateur hick in every media outlet in the universe. Just ask Michelle Obama. A very stylish lady, in my opinion. But nothing protects her either. She is ridiculed and hounded for wearing belts that are too big, dresses with floral prints, and scary boots. She probably spends a LOT of money on her clothes. And why not? She’s a very wealthy woman. Cindy McCain has made getting dressed a full-time job since she was 7 or 8 years old. She looks great, perfect even. At all times. It’s a bit scary actually. And Hillary? Cleavage, kitten heels, and pantsuits. Enough said.
This is how it works, Folks. An impossible standard is raised and we are all expected to bankrupt ourselves to meet it — to spend a phenomenally STUPID amount of money on clothes and accessories, to hate the way we look in order to motivate ourselves to BUY MORE, and to feel shamed and ugly when we cannot or will not play the game.
The Palin’s combined income in 2007 was $170,000, with $25,000 going to taxes and $8,000 to charity. That means $11,500 a month net for a family of seven. Not bad. All the bills get paid on time, presents fill the room on Christmas morning, college gets saved for, Dad gets a snowmobile, and Mom can buy a reasonable amount of clothes every year to do her job. In 2006, their net monthly income for their family of six was $9,833. And it was less in the years prior to 2006. A nice, comfortable two-salary family in this day and age.
But NOT enough to dress like Cindy McCain, or Mika Brezhnev, or Andrea Mitchell, or Candy Crowley, or Michelle Obama.
Sarah Palin is an upper middle class WORKING CLASS person. No one so “poor” has run for national office in 150 years. When Bill Clinton ran he had been Governor for 8 years and Hillary had already made them wealthy (plus, der, he’s a guy and this is a DOUBLE standard we are talking about). We do know how easily this election can be stolen and some of us are scared $*&#less. But the MSM is not our friend we know that for most of us, any mention of a stolen election is simply seen as a R “whine”. It has much more cred coming from the D side–sad but true. So the latest AP poll out Wednesday has the race basically tied, Obama 44, McCain 43. The poll was conducted over the last 5 days.
When they broke down the numbers, there were a lot of incouraging signs.
Since the last AP survey in late September, McCain also has:
-Posted big gains among likely voters earning under $50,000 a year; he now trails Obama by just 4 percentage points compared with 26 earlier.
-Surged among rural voters; he has an 18-point advantage, up from 4. (Very important, these were the Hillary voters)
-Doubled his advantage among whites who haven’t finished college and now leads by 20 points. (Extremely important, more Hillary voters)
-Made gains among whites of both genders, now leading by 22 points among white men and by 7 among white women.
McCain has cut into Obama’s advantage on the questions of whom voters trust to handle the economy and the financial crisis. On both, the Obama now leads by just 6 points, compared with 15 a month ago.
I think declaring martial law when he’s ‘tested’ is already in the works. He’ll nationalize the industrial base, institute the draft, suspend the freedom of speech, freedom to associate & freedom of the press. He’ll start jailing, or suing, political enemies.

I wasn’t offended by your post as much as I was stupefied by it.
It struck me as odd that you would make your request to permanently post your charity on a Puma (Democrats and Independents) political site “because it is supportive of women”, while not requesting the same of a Republican political sites. The implication is that Republicans are not supportive of women for you to make the attempt, yet you, a woman, are a member of that party. Seems contradictory to me, and I also think by not making the same request of Republican poltical sites, that you are missing an opportunity, and depriving the Republicans of an opportunity to step out of the dark ages, or at least show their hand in terms of where they stand on women’s health issues.

I just had a very heated email argument with a friend (maybe not after today) about something I had posted on here earlier, the Star Jackson links. Part of this argument is between us as Catholics, so disregard our abortion conflict. I have never judged anyone here on that issue, it is not my place and I respect EVERYONE’S opinion on the matter. Anyway, here is what she said to me and I will post my response as well:
Ok, I read the verses and didn’t see anything about the redistribution of wealth–it is about taking what is given to you and making more. I remember many a sermon from our priest, quoting that scripture and telling us that God has given all of us gifts that we are meant to use and nurture them–that is thee Catholic church’s interpretation of that passage and one I agree with. If you read through to the conculsion of that chapter it talks about our duty to feed the hungry, heal the sick, etc.
The so-called “resdistribution of wealth” that the republicans are spouting is just another tactic to scare americans into voting their way. Do you honestly think Obama wants everyone to have the same amount of wealth? Do you honestly think congress (even if it was 100% democratic) or the people would allow it? Do you honestly think that an even distribution of wealth (which is what socialism is) could ever happen in a capitalist economy? I know your too smart to buy into that.
I also think a lot of so-called christians are so obsessed with their own righteousness, they have forgotten to be Christ-like.

Yes Paula you are getting my point and more importantly the point of the parable. WE, you and I as individuals have a duty to share and help the least of our people, that is how God will judge us. God is looking to see if we do the right thing ON OUR OWN, not because some government steals it from us and forces us to give to others, and there are many who are undeserving of a handout. Another point, I like you am also catholic. I know VERY WELL what the catholic church teaches about abortion, there are NO GRAY AREAS in the catholic church when it comes to abortion. NO catholic has a viable argument or justification as to why they would pull the lever for ANY candidate who supports the murder of an innocent life. I believe in choice as well…the choice that a woman makes BEFORE she lies with a man whom she knows has no intention of supporting her OR her baby by being responsible in the first place. We must suffer the consequences of our actions at times. I brought my car in to be winterized this morning. The bad news is that they found the pump was leaking so I had to pay $500…
They kept the car until this afternoon. When I picked it up I had Hannity on for a few mintues (my car radio is always set there, LOL). During the break the local news was on, and for some reason they had on there a guy from Colorado who said that the early votes in Colorado were almost overwhelmingly democrat. He said…. get this… that right now the early votes show Obama 20% ahead of McCain and that McCain doesn’t have enough republicans left in Colorado to make up the difference. Since WHEN can they tell how early voting was doing in a state this long before the actual election???????? I was OUTRAGED!!!

Well, I have a theory, too, Mr. Baer:
Barack Obama, the Democratic Party, and millions of Obama supporters are “banking on the cracker factor”, albeit inadvertently.
While Hillary was “likable enough” in Barak Obama’s eyes, my bet is that Barak Obama has mapped his entire political path on being “black enough/white enough” to ultimately win the Democratic Party and corporate power-brokers’ approval; because he most certainly has never served his own constituents throughout his short, political career, has he?
Here is why I believe this, Mr. Baer. I authored a book on racism (examining my own racist beliefs and social conditioning, as well as how such conditioning plays out in our society, as whole.) I believe the following excerpt from my book is as true today, in this Presidential Election, as it was when the referenced article was published in 1998.
“Nor did the election of a black mayor to two terms equalize development of our city’s infrastructure. While many view the mayor’s election and prominence, among our even more prominent city leaders, as a political and cultural milestone, there were valid reasons to question which side of history-making this milestone fell on.”
In November 1998, an article by staff writer Jim Schutze (“Peep Hole Power”) appeared in The Dallas Observer and provided an intriguing account of Dallas’ long history of white financial and political power. Even more interesting was how unabashedly certain insiders provided a glimpse into how that power had maintained a grip on virtually every area of our city’s municipal and cultural development. Racial discrimination was clearly not the focus of Schutze’s story. However, certain elements alluded to its presence, although not in the sense that one might expect. For one thing, the mayor’s election was hugely influenced (and politically funded) by the power structure. As one became aware of its history, it is difficult to know whether this impenetrable power structure had come to its senses and was actually breaking down racial barriers, or merely remodeling the barriers to further its own interests.”
And finally, another excerpt as to why I believe Obama is the handpicked “black enough/white enough “Power Brokers” SELECTED candidate:
“Bigotry, whether it is racially, socially, or economically motivated is all about power and control; therefore, it is one of the main causes of social oppression. It makes no apologies for going to any means to insure it remains unaffected – especially by social reforms, public policies, and urban development projects that primarily benefit those who need them the most – unless there is a substantial gain involved for those already well positioned.”
(Obama is a power-broker game player – his Rezko ties and Chicago politics are clear indicators of his true character — just as his willingness to play a smokescreen for social “progress,” all in the name of “making history”, is a clear indication of how shallow his “change” message for the enormous needs of America truly is.
Obama has no real record of accomplishment, other than insuring that he aligns with, and plays the game on behalf of, the “true powers that be” – which is a male-dominated, predominately white, political and socio-economically oppressive power structure – with an agenda to keep it that way.
(Don’t take my word for it. Ask Hillary Rodham Clinton – women all over America – and 18 million voters (Joe Plumbers – those average mainstream Americans – black and white and every other ethnicity – that Obama so easily scoffs at – and could care less about.)
Barack Obama’s “no real policy impact” political career is a very safe bet for the “power brokers”.
Who are you trying to kid, hook, and convince with this silly, insignificant “cracker factor” issue, Mr. Baer? Black America? White America? Or yourself, maybe?
I seriously doubt Obama’s “agenda” is about any of “us”, any more than the “cracker factor” is as much about “race” today, as it is about “how cheap we can get them”.

I told this story once before. I met a young man at a WalMart with an unusual accent. I asked where he was from and he said Egypt! I said I would love to go there and see all the pyramids and their history.
Anyways, he had to leave. The Christians could no longer afford to pay the “government” for their right to their religion.

With ACORN under investigation for registering bogus voters in at least 15 states; with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi–who leads a Congress even more unpopular than a fast-fading- from-the-scene George W. If it weren’t for the fact that the future of the United States of America is at stake; that a group of rich and powerful, elitist malcontents such as George Soros and Kyoto godfather Canadian Maurice Strong have an agenda to usher in a new era of Socialism for the USA, Obama for all of his media and Hollywood hype, would be something of a joke.
Obama came onto the scene comparing himself to the late great Abraham Lincoln, penned a book that some claim isn’t even his and arranged—or had arranged—Grade 8 textbooks with an entire chapter dedicated to him.

VA KAT FOR PALIN – Thanks for your post. This year has been an eye opener for me in so many ways, including becoming much more aware of what Republicans have been dealing with for years. As I dipped my toes into the waters of conservative publications, linking up with conservatives, etc, I was struck by how much the outrage I felt over how the media treated Hillary and such was no big news for them. It’s how they feel they are treated all the time. I’ve gained a much better appreciation for many things that I had otherwise been unaware of.

Just finished voting. Straight Republican. But I selected each one individually and PUMA SMACKED that enter button. It felt soooo good. Also, I had to wait in line to vote early. 3/4 of the large church parking lot was taken. Early voting began here Monday. Have you others that have voted early see large crowds? My perception of this is good as far as McCain-Palin. Also, any car that did have sticker on them were McCain-Palin stickers. I live on the western side of Houston and I have not seen any John McCain signs taken or reported stolen. However, the NOBama signs have been taken out, with the exception of 2. I guess they are saving those for me.

I too have to admit learning a lot in this election. I do have friends that are D’s (one has drunk the kool-aid unfortunately) but we typically agree not to point “party” fingers at each other. However, reading the blogs of the PUMAPAC has enlightened me even more that we women have the same struggles regardless of party and if we can look past our personal views, we can do a lot of “damage” in our country. As long as we respect each others difference of opinion and focus on what we agree on, we are super strong!

For the record I’m a 55 yo Republican male living in Texas who is married to a strong self made woman executive that has travelled all over the world and had to fight the old boy network for every bit of success she has achieved. I understand Hillary’s drive to be president and can respect her drive and tenacity as a worthy foe. I never had a problem with Hillary because deep down I knew that she had the best interest of the country in mind no matter what her policies were…..If she won then I could live with that and figured the Democratic Party did a better job in the arena of ideas then we did….better luck next time and kudo’s to Hillary. To see the main stream media destroy her and set out to push this imposter to the finish line is appalling. Journalism died in 2008 and the talking heads just make me sick. I can’t even watch CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, or MSNBC…..they are so far in the tank for this guy it is sickening. I am kind of in favor of giving people freedom because freedom is god is love. so I give women the right to choose on an abortion. So I feel it is the same thing to give freedom to allow same sex marriages. Now I am not gay but I should not be controlling other people. That is where problems start. (HONOLULU, HI)(October 22, 2008) Internet powerhouse Andy Martin told a Honolulu news conference today that after an intense international investigation he is convinced that Barack Obama, Junior, the presidential candidate is really the son of Obama’s controversial mentor Frank Marshall Davis.
“Mendacious adults ‘switched’ Obama at birth. That is why he has refused to allow access to the original or ‘vault’ birth certificate,” Martin told a Honolulu news conference. “We believe the original certificate did not list a father. Barack Obama became the father as a result of an agreement between Ann Dunham, Frank Marshall Davis and Barack Obama, Sr.
“Davis was already married to a White Woman. He did not need a nonmarital child by a second one. Ann probably refused to have what was then called a ‘back alley’ abortion. Davis may have felt that ‘Obama’ would face less stigma with an ‘African’ background than a Negro one. The civil rights revolution, of course, turned that gambit upside down. In discovering and understanding what happened we cannot forget we are dealing with events in 1961, not 2008.
“The irony in all of this is that Obama once stated he did not want his daughters to be ‘victimized’ with a child. And he is alive because his mother took the contrary view.
“Barack Obama has known this since adulthood, and the shock of this discovery still reverberates in his psyche.
“Ironically, what I have to say today dilutes the ‘Muslim’ theory that has propagated. Davis was not a Muslim. If Obama had told the truth at some point in his life, instead of living endlessly with the lies that were imposed on him by the adults in his life, we would have avoided a great deal of confusion. I, for one, have deep compassion for Mr. Obama. He is not the first person in history to be caught up in this kind of family fraud.
“The disclosure by the two women in his life that he was not the ‘son’ of his ‘father’ also explains why he manifests such extreme ambivalence to both his mother and grandmother. He is angry because he was cheated of his real father.
“Obama was robbed of his birthright of being the son of civil rights royalty, and of a father with whom he was completely simpatico. He could have grown up the son of Frank Marshall Davis, civil rights pioneer and activist, cutting-edge journalist, poet and man of letters. Mr. Davis was an extraordinary man in a dark period of this nation’s history, the pre-dawn of the civil rights era.
“Obama has probably suspended his campaign and is flying to Honolulu because he is deathly afraid his grandmother may make a ‘dying declaration’ and blow the whistle on his family fraud. Dying people often blurt out the truth. The true facts of Obama’s parentage also reflect why there has been so much tension and alienation, as well as genuine love, in Obama’s relationship with his grandmother.
“There has been a great deal of confusion and misconception about Frank Marshall Davis. A brief history lesson is essential to understanding the bizarre facts of Obama’s provenance.
“During the 1920′s and 30′s many Negros (African-Americans) became ‘communists’ because the Soviet Union and the Communist Party USA promised to end racial segregation and Jim Crow laws in the United States. The Democratic Party, of course, was the powerful force behind segregation and Jim Crow. So it is a twist of fate that the same party that oppressed Blacks has now nominated one for president.
“Madelyn Dunham is the last surviving person who knows the truth about the switch. That is why as we closed in on Dunham, Obama went ballistic, cancelled his campaign and came to Hawai’i to head us off.
“I actually carry an official, certified pocket-sized birth certificate on me at all times [Andy shows a copy to media]. But this is NOT my ‘birth certificate.’ The original certificate is held in the City Clerk’s vault in Middletown, Connecticut. That is what has come to be known as the ‘vault copy.’
“Likewise, the document that Obama has plastered over the Internet is NOT his original birth certificate or even a copy of his original certificate. It is a computer generated facsimile of an official record and nothing more. The original certificate was either handwritten or typewritten, not computer-generated in 1961. No one has ever seen that original certificate except the people that are working so hard to keep it hidden from the American people.
“I am asking Judge Ayabe to impound the value certificate and have the court hold it for safekeeping.
“By the time Barack Obama learned who he was, it was too late to change his identity. He was who he was, so he continued the ruse of being the son of an ‘African herder,’ which was yet another lie. ‘Dreams From My Father’ bears no connection to dreams from Barack Obama; there were none. It was Frank Marshall Davis who communicated his dreams to his secret son.
“There is a simple way for Obama to resolve this controversy: he can either admit the truth of these facts and order the immediate release of his vault certificate; or he can submit to a DNA test. We can conduct a Maury Povich-style DNA test to determine filiation between Obama and his brothers, one of whom blogs at BarackObama.com.
“In closing, I can only say that we used the fictional ‘Hawai’i Five-O’ as our dramatic template for this investigative operation. We could have as easily used the great, real-life Hawai’i detective Chang Apana as our polestar. He was featured in yesterday’s newspaper.
“As for Mr. Obama, all I can say is ‘Book’em Danno.” Case solved. Barack Obama the presidential candidate is the son of Frank Marshall Davis.” Martin stated.
“I bear Mr. Obama no ill will and no animus. I have only been a faithful servant of the search for truth, and I believe we finally know the secret truths about who Barack Obama really is: the son of Frank Marshall Davis.”
I was reading Anna 7000 blog on the homeless guy with the “vote Obama. I need the money”.
I think we should offer any homeless guy $40 – $50 to hold up a sign saying ” Spread the Wealth, Vote Obama. I need the $ ”
I believe this would be the best money spent in getting the message out.
I will experiment – Maybe make up the sign for the guy and monitor that he uses it. Pay at the end of the day.
