In the Long Island town in which I live there are many stores within walking distance.

They are neighborhood stores which I give my business whenever possible.

They are all doing well, as far as I can tell.

A few weeks ago, however, I wanted to purchase a pair of suade slippers for the winter which I knew could be found at the Sundance Store at the mall.

When my husband and I visited the mall, we were shocked. So many of the stores were closed and half the mall was in darkness.

I happened to purchase the last pair of slippers in my size at Sundance. That store is going out of business too.

It was very depressing and quite frightening.

I am so tired of hearing about Obama spending big bucks to run his infomercial on October 29th by trying to blanket MSM television airways.

I think we need to begin to promote a “Turn off Obama-TV” on October 29th.

I say – Do NOT Listen to or Watch Obama’s 30 minute commercial on October 29, 2008

Obama thinks he can MAKE us listen to what he has to say by spending all that money in order to have his commercial on several networks at the same time.

We do NOT have to listen. We do NOT have to support this gimmick.

We do not have to fall in line like the Democratic Party assumes we will do. We do not have to permit the gang in the so-called Democratic leadership – Dean, Frank, Pelosi, Reid & Brazile – continue to fantasize that they are leading us.

Mainstream media may be in the tank for Obama – but we are Americans and we have freedom of choice. We do not have to watch & listen to Obama simply because he has decided he will MAKE us hear him.

Let’s all participate in: “Turn Off Obama-TV” that night.

On October 29th for that specific 30 minutes:
Push mute – Turn down the sound – Change the channel – or Turn off the television

Do not listen to any more of Obama’s hot air , false promises or his lies about McCain-Palin.

INSTEAD for that 30 minutes do something else with your brain cells — (here’s a few ideas)

Watch a different tv program
Watch a DVD or video
Listen to the radio
Listen to a CD
Read a book or magazine
Play a board game
Surf the web
Watch YouTube videos
Call a friend on the phone
Play a video game
Write an email to a friend
Work on one of the word games or word puzzles in the newspaper
Play the piano (or instrument of your choice)
Do some exercising
Play a card game
Work on your family’s scrapbooks
Bake Halloween cookies or cupcakes
Work on your favorite hobby

Between now and Oct 29th – Let others know that you are choosing NOT to listen to & to NOT watch Obama’s commercial. And encourage others to join in a national response to this media effort.

For the record:
I am a PUMA in VA who is not voting for Obama-Biden.
I am a Black woman who is not voting for Obama-Biden.
I am a registered democrat who is not voting for Obama-Biden.
I am one of the voters who supported Hillary Clinton in the primary who is not voting for Obama-Biden.

Please join me by choosing to turn away from Obama’s efforts to control the outcome of this election by spending so much money on a one night media blitz.

DOES ANYONE have a list of IMPORTANT facts why BO is so dangerous (friends, low grades/show how he was passed through law school/as professor offered tenure but NEVER published ONE SINGLE THING, voting record, etc. etc) with citations or documentation??

oh and the fact is that Obama never was ever offered tenure for any professorship because he never was a “Professor” with any college…he was considered an Associate Professor-part-time only and was in fact a very part-time lecturer on constitutional law only…yeh constitutional law…LOL…what a joke……..

A must read regarding the economic state of Illinois. If BO can’t affect a positive change in Illionis, how can we possibly think it would be any different having him as president of the U.S.?

I’m racking my brain trying to figure out what “generated” national security crisis Biden is referring to that American people are going to be pissed at Bozo about. Bozo sympathizes with Palestians and apparently thinks it’s cool to sit down with Ahmadinejad. It makes me think he sympathizes with Iran also, who is the leader in harboring terrorists, and will pull us out of Iraq, abandon Israel, forcing them to attack Iran or be wiped off the map. Based on Bozo’s idiotic first comments regarding Russia invasion of Georgia, he seems to sympathize with Russia also. Putin is obsessed with overtaking the US in becoming the most powerful country in the world. Not sure what he means really but something big is going to happen and most Americans will be pissed?

Add to this, spreading the wealth, higher taxes, reversing on most all of his previous positions, terrorist connections, nation of Islam connections, blah blah……..I’m not sure how anyone of sane mind can vote for this guy.

On a positive note, I called my uncle, who’s 58, and a die hard blue dog Democrat so he’s never voted Repub in his life. I asked him what he thinks of this crazy election. He says “well, I hate to say it but I will be voting for a Republican for the first time ever.” Wooohooo!
