Thanks murphy. I come from a long line of outspoken southern liberals, my maternal four times great grandfather George D. Blakey was an abolitionist politician in southern Kentucky, his daughter- my three times great grandmother Pamelia Blakey Duncan was as equally passionate an abolitionist as her father. So when I speak out I remember those ancestors with pride. It’s in my genes.

I am sorry,I really did not intend to say something else on this “old” thread but I got the Pipes&Drums cd playing(Walmart-housewares dept-10 smackers)…and there’s post #496 to consider.
This is a constitutional, REPRESENTATIVE Republic, not anything else, no matter how many times they say it and no matter who they are. Check the good ‘ole Constitution and the Federalist Papers.
Better yet, memorize them. Drives ‘em nuts.

Re: Grizzly #333 and Shampoovta #487–phony story. No police report, no eyewitnesses and no news trucks in that area of New Mexico. We have Freepers in that neck of the woods(and everywhere else, too, BTW)and there’s no evidence that shots were fired at a McCain/Palin bus. It is a phantom story created by a blogger who thought s/he was smooth and untouchable much like TD and many others across the political spectrum.

I live to the east but hey if you’re a Magyar-type of gypsy, I know this great Hungarian bakery on Buckeye Road that has the best pogachen and tortes this side of the pond. Re: Storytellers #476-Newsflash to you, schoolchildren have survived indoctrination for a long effing time(more than just a few decades). And we grow up, generation after generation waiting to hear, see and know whether the “old farts” are on the same page with us. You catch my drift?
Frankly, if your team targets children, it’s only because your team fears the adults. Right? But look, every generation of adults has known intuitively that you fear us so we automatically inculcate our daughters and sons with the knowledge(heart and head) they need to survive your vile and stupid attempts to turn our kids against us, against our way of life and against our long-established government. So you lose. And it drives you nuts, because you have all that money, and all that power and yet we remain a free people and this here’s our free country.
Misc: some posters here have turned against Mr. and Mrs. Clinton for no logical reason. I humbly ask that you all lay off the Clintons–they are doing the best they can given these extenuating circumstances. Neither of them needs to prove anything to anyone, IMVHO. In other words, they are not the problem.
Misc: some posters here are “sounding” a lot like some posters at the Free Republic, a conservative forum of which I am a long-time member. Why? The media. Having been down that road myself(with crappy results), I strongly encourage you to NOT rely solely on FoxNews Channel, internet and talk radio for your news and views. Please stay near the middle, the center. Watch Cokie Roberts on ABCnews once in awhile; ditto with CBS and CNN. They’re really not so horrible. Don’t abandon them.
Read, watch and listen with discerning eyes–don’t shut your ears just because someone is saying something you disagree with, listen closely you may hear something worthwhile. Something that rings a bell or reminds you of something, someone or some other time.

Why Barack Obama Should Not Be President of the United States

I am a 62 years old lifelong well educated Democrat, the daughter of a 40+ year union machinist, who for 30 of those years was elected by membership to represent the intererst of the members of that union and to negotiate fair and honest working conditions, etc in Machine Shops in New Orleans.
He was the son of a union machinist as well.
I have research, listened to, and observed Barack Obama and his surrogates and their tactics for almost
11 months and have concluded that Barack Obama is a Fraud. Why?
1. He has not told the truth about his political connections and his rise to power in Illinois and certainly to the Senate. He has in fact been politically interwined with radical anarchist and Marxist Bill Ayers for many many years..yet, he says..Ayers was a guy who lived in his neighborhood..and other dissembling

2.He has lied about his connection to Tony Rezko, a felonious thief …
3. He has lied about his connections to the Marxist laced diatribes of Rev. Wright.
4. He has lied about his connections to ACORN and its subsidiaries.
These are simply four of his lies emanating from the Democratic Primary and continuing now in the General Election cycle.
Moreover, his surrogates within the Democratic National Committe clearly and arbitrarily ignored, bent, or outright broke Party rules and regulations to assure his nomination. His surrogates created fraud and havoc in Dem caucuses as well to assure his nomination. These are documented by witness accounts.
Now there are numerous examples beyond these to secure the jugment that Obama is a Fraud.
Apart from the fact that He has a thin and nebulous record of doing anything in the Senate..He has neither the experience nor the knowledge to be the President of the United States.
He can not implement major components of his so called Tax Plan, because the condition of our financial markets and the incomes of our people can not support it. Moreover, one should read the other items…that Obama plans to implement re fees or other money that we the middle class will bear. If , for example, you sell your house you will pay 37% of profit to the government. Senior citizens are especially hit hard bt this new…fee? tax?…whatever Obama has euphemistically named them.
Perhaps the most important reason why Obama should never be President is his committment and practice throughout his adult life and certainly manifested in his campaign is his use of the radical, Marxist socialist tactics of asserting one’s self interest to gain one’s goal.
These tactics sit on the base of a totally amoral
approach to engagement with other people, as long as those means procure the goal or end desired by the practicitioner. Any means, according to Alinsky and practiced by Obama..ANY MEANS…WITH NO BOUNDRIES CAN BE USED TO ACHIEVE ONE’S END.
We have seen any means used for 11 mouths, intimidation, voter fraud registrations, chaos as a cover for fraud in caucuses, and the ripping apart in lanuage of any one…anyone who dares to confront in public this brutal abuse of people, systems, traditions and structures of this Country. Vile images and language regarding women continue in the general election.
Has Obama ever once stood in public and rejected them…? just on their face…regardless of party or woman? NO…NO..
Now, he attempts to deconstruct and trash a middle class working man, like so many of us are, because he, (Joe The Plumber) had the audacity to describe Obama’s “spread the wealth comment”..as socialism
Barack Obama , his surrogates and plans are a direct threat to the very nature of the democratic Republic,
I urge everyone reading this to,please, visit our reference sections..on Action Cener and Pumapac facts.
The most important action is the action of voting…on November 4…VOTE TO DEFEAT THIS FRAUD AS IF OUR COUNTRY AND OUR LIVES AND FUTURE DEPEND ON IT.

I called the number posted and requested a refund. I was asked to whom the contributions had been made and I told her “Hillary for President.” After taking my name and verifying my contact info, she said someone would look into it and get back to me. She asked why I was requesting the refund. I explained that I’m a self-identified PUMA, and as such, I want to call the Clinton’s attention to the fact that I’m extremely disappointed that they continue to pay lip service to the Obama campaign in light of the violations of the principles and processes of democracy that were perpetrated during the primary in stealing the nomination from Hillary, and which continue to be perpetrated now. I told her the sexism and misogyny, in particular, continue to be rampant and are absolutely horrific and unacceptable. She wanted to know why I’m requesting the refund now. I told her that I came across the suggestion from other PUMAs (without mentioning where) and recognized that this may be one of the only ways we can get the attention of Sen. Clinton and former President Clinton to let them know how extremely disappointed we are that they continue to campaign for Obama. I told her I genuinely regret having to request the refund.

Hi everyone. I just got back a little while ago from taking my mother to the doctor for a check-up. I took a few flyers with me. Taped some on the elevators at the clinic. Then we went to McDonalds and I taped some to the restroom stalls there. I didn’t have time to go anywhere’s else. But I am going to go back out early in the morning either tomorrow or Wednesday.

The first time I seen OB, I knew there was something I didn’t like about him. And, of course I was right. His lies and deceit are catching up with him. He is so dishonest and corrupt. Everyone is going to know that because of us puma’s letting them know just exactly what he is and that he is not qualified to be the President.

And I will be voting republican for the first time in my life just to keep OB out and save our country from someone who going to make it thousand times worser.

I think that’s a great idea. I will call, too. Despite my extremely limited means, I donated to Hillary’s campaign and to the effort to help retire her debt several times. As much as it pains me, other than requesting a refund (especially if many of us call to make the same request), I can’t think of any other, better way to get the Clinton’s attention to let them know that PUMAs are severely disappointed in them for continuing to even pay lip service to the corrupt, fraudulent, sexist/misogynist/male supremacist BO and the thuggery that he, his campaign and the DNC continue to use and condone in this election. Since the Convention, I’ve used my limited funds to contribute to The Denver Group and now to its successor Democrats for Principle Before Party. They’re upholding the principles and processes of democracy, even if others may seem to have forgotten what they are. Reading Heidi Li’s and Marc Rubin’s commentaries always reminds me again of why we’re in this. Thanks.
