A different neighbor, watching her approach the McCain supporter’s door, yelled at her to go away and leave them alone. The harasser, who is a white Obama supprter, assumed that because the woman is black she MUST also be supporting Obama and therefore was “obviously” about to commit a crime by knocking on her neighbor’s door.
A “funny” joke making the rounds on liberal Democratic sites has Joe Biden askin Sarah Palin at the VP Debate “What’s the difference between your mouth and your vagina?” ANSWER: “Only some of the things that come out of your vagina are retarded.” This joke is EVERYWHERE on Democratic sites, again with countless approving comments.
A popular blog owned by an Obama supporter called “I Miss My Mommy” ridicules children with Down’s Syndrome and attempts to humiliate Sarah Palin for being a bad mother. The comments are filled with messages from Democrats who find this hilarious.

There is a way.
Address the letter to yourself. Then, use or activate the BCC function / entry area. (On Yahoo! Mail, there is a Show BCC ‘button’ just above the address area, e.g. Other email clients and webmail sites have variations, or have a BCC line always available. You can also use your Contacts function sometimes to specify where a group of addresses should be entered. Very handy, you can group all of the addys you want under a single title and just enter that.)
‘BCC’ means “Blind Carbon Copy”, and the output is a single email to each address, showing none of the other addressees. The address in the “To” field may show up, but that’s why you should use that line for your own address.

For the past couple of months I’ve been saying that this campaign is “good” against “evil”. These videos prove it even more so. The “evil” is coming out more and more. The “evil” in the past was hidden… now between this and the voter fraud it’s like a “who cares if anyone knows” kind of evil. I just can’t fathom how any lawabiding, truth-loving person in the U.S. can vote for someone who is attracting such SCUM. I’d say “animal” behavior, but I know a lot of animals who would be insulted to say that. “good and evil”. Who is going to win? If “evil” wins I’m afraid “good” is going to be smashed underfoot and almost crushed in the future…

“First let me give a little history of the neighborhood sign wars…
About a block away from my home, there is a sign rivalry between two neighbors. During the primaries, the McCain supporter had a yard sign with no problems…stayed in his yard for months. Once Obama got the nomination, his yard sign was stolen. He got another one and his next-door-neighbor got an Obama yard sign. Next morning, the McCain supporter’s sign was stolen again; while the Obama sign was untouched. The McCain supporter got mad and starting taking the neighbor’s Obama sign every time his sign disappeared.
For three weeks, signs in each yard would appear then disappear. Frustrated, the Obama supporter put at least 30 yard signs everywhere around her house (windows, trees, etc.). On Wednesday day a huge billboard sign with floodlights appeared in the McCain supporter’s yard. GO McCAIN!!! (update: the floodlights disappeared and he takes the McCain sign inside every night)
FAST FORWARD TO TODAY……….
I received Freddie’s beautiful Nobama flyers on Saturday and immediately started using them. As I was driving home today from volunteering at the McCain office, I decided to stop and give the pro-McCain neighbor a few flyers to pass out. After all, given the moxy with the billboard sign, I was sure the flyers would be utilized.
As I walked up to the yard, a Black woman was walking up to the pro-Obama neighbors sitting on their porch. The older, hippie-looking couple (White) were on the porch singing anti-war songs. The woman said she was driving by and wanted to thank them for their support.
I continued up the walkway to the pro-McCain neighbor’s house and knocked on the door. The pro-Obama couple immediately assumed that I (Black) was an Obama supporter there to harass the McCain neighbors (White). They started yelling at me to leave their neighbors alone because they have been harassed enough. I handed the couple one of my NOBAMA flyers which they didn’t bother reading while continuing to yell at me to leave before they called the police.
I said “Sir, I’m not talking to you…please shut-up” and turned to talk with the woman (White) whom answered the door of the pro-McCain house.
The liberal, hippie, male Obama supporter stood up with his cell phone and said “I’m calling 9-1-1.”
My mouth dropped open … I said very loudly “Now that is racist! You assumed because I’m Black that I’m an Obama supporter. Furthermore, you took a stereotypical racist attitude that I was going to attack you and your White neighbors. You are the worst kind of racists…the kind that don’t know you are.”
The wife then read the flyer and said to her husband “oh, she’s a republican”.
I was so mad that all I could do was hand the NOBAMA flyers to the McCain supporter, asked that they use them and thanked them for their courage with the sign.
As I walked away the pro-McCain husband ran up to me, shook my hand and gave me a hug and said “You made my day!”
I’m still pissed off though. “

Just went to the store. I sometimes read Women’s Health magazine so I went over to pick up a copy. Right beside it was Men’s Health with Bozo on the cover as some sort of 20 yr anniversary health and fitness idol. I almost puked. Oh wow, the Obama Radicals are in full force today. Just got off the phone with the sheriff’s department. Me and my friends were sitting in my front yard taking a break from packing up the truck. I have McCain-Palin yard signs on both sides of the drive. My neighbors to the left and right do as well. A black Escalade was coming up and down the road slowly. Didn’t think much of it until it happened for the third time. At that point, I said something to my friends like “is that dude lost or what? This is like the third time he/she has cruised up and down the street.” We could not see who was driving because the window tint was so dark. As it made the u turn again at the cul-de-sac, I told them, here they come again and the back tailgate opened up and 2 large white plastic bags of garbage were thrown out. When they hit the pavement, they busted open. They were full of used pampers, beer cans, hundreds of cigar and cigarette butts, empty plastic bottles, you can add to the list. My friend got a picture and I got the license plate number. People who live here are trying their best to drive around it and one of my neighbors that lives on the cul-de-sac stopped and asked me “what gives with the garbage all over the street?” I told him what we saw and that they pulled into their drive several times. He asked if I reported it? I told him yes. Waiting now for an officer to show up. Now this is what I call HOPE and CHANGE.
The trash are the ones doing the “trash talking”. Has nothing to do with where you were born or what you do for a living.

In some parts of this article the journalist tries to diminish Palin as a candidate, but there were some interesting quotes about why Republican men like the idea of someone like her being a VP. If Dems think that by attacking Palin they are turning men off from voting for her they might be dead wrong. The journalist also pointed out that a man at the rally thought Palin was attractive, but that doesn’t also mean that men don’t think Palin is competent. Possibly only liberal men think those two things are incongruous.

It’s these interior/internal changes that would be mindboggling if I wasn’t viewing them from within the context of the changes… paradigm shift.

Stand with experience to send America in a new direction
A little over a month ago, I stood at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul and promised Americans I would fight for them as their next president. I asked the thousands in the arena and the millions of our fellow citizens to stand up and fight with me to fix Washington because, as Americans, we do not hide from history — we make history.

Since that night, Duluth and the rest of the nation has borne witness to the most serious economic crisis in our lifetime. We have seen once-sturdy Wall Street institutions vanish; we have seen huge swings in the market, both down and up; and we have seen new federal commitments in the hundreds of billions of dollars. We have seen how suddenly a crisis can unfold and how great the costs can be in jobs, savings, lost opportunities and taxpayer dollars.
What we need to see now is swift and bold action to lead this country in a new direction.
Today we are seeing how, in so many ways, Washington is on the wrong track. We need change, and I know how to deliver it. The status quo is not on the ballot. Change is coming. The question is: in what direction will we go?
As president, I will help to create jobs for Americans in the most effective way a president can: by cutting taxes, giving small-business owners the tools to create new jobs, and protecting your life savings. I will lead reforms to help families keep their homes, help retirees keep their savings, help college students pay their tuition, help every citizen afford health care, and lead America to reclaim its energy independence.
In tough economic times, higher taxes are the last thing we need as a nation. Barack Obama’s plan will raise taxes on businesses that generate more than half of the income of all small businesses in America. These are the people who added 350,000 jobs at a time when America lost 700,000 jobs. They are the backbone of our economy and will lead us to recovery.
My plan to cut capital gains taxes on investments will make sure those families forced to sell assets during this downturn aren’t penalized. We will also suspend the rules to prevent our seniors from being forced to sell off their IRAs during a weak market. These initiatives will have a real effect on working men and women in Minnesota and Wisconsin who look to pension and retirement plans in the future.
Having visited Minnesota and Wisconsin during this campaign, both Gov. Sarah Palin and I know how important mainstream values and the enjoyment of the outdoors are on both coasts of Lake Superior. When it comes to conservation of the environment, I walk the trail blazed by Teddy Roosevelt. Being a Republican and being a proponent of the environment are not mutually exclusive.
Gov. Palin and I both know what sportsmen mean to conservation efforts. Everyone who spends time in a stand or a blind or in waders knows how much the environment means to us. We enjoy the natural blessings God has given our country, and we know how important it is to share it with our children.
Sen. Obama tells us that the “tradition” of gun ownership is one which must “be respected.” It is obvious to Gov. Palin and me that he just doesn’t get it. A tradition is one thing, a constitutional right is another. Sen. Obama has a record of not supporting the Second Amendment, including support of the D.C. gun ban, which was ruled unconstitutional. A president doesn’t get to pick and choose which parts of the Constitution he gets to enforce, and I view the right to own a gun as sacred as our right to free speech.
I have been upholding my oath to support and defend the Constitution, putting my country first, since I was
17 years old and about to enter the United States Naval Academy. I have had the great fortune of defending her liberty in uniform and defending the rights of her citizens in Congress. I believe my experience will inspire a generation of Americans to serve a cause greater than their own self-interests.
We cannot afford to spend the next four years as we have spent much of the last eight: waiting for our luck to change. We have to act immediately. We have to stand together and fight. I ask that you stand together with me on Nov. 4, so we can truly change to a new direction — one that puts our country first.

I believe (my opinion) that Obama’s poll numbers were adjusted upward 6 to 8 % to offset those negative reports.
Hi PUMAs, Greenfun and I just got back home from our major prowl in Nevada. We are two tired PUMAs, passed out over 3100 flyers. Thanks Freddie, your flyers are everywhere along with 1700 that we printed up on the caucus fraud, ACORN and every issue they should know. We didn’t have one bad experience by any Obot, although we were careful where we posted them. We hit the parking garages of the casino workers, for many of them were in the caucus fraud areas. We went to the U of Nevada, Latino neighborhoods, malls, the casinos, hotels…everywhere. We also pasted puma stickers over many obama posters.
We did she Sarah on SNL but haven’t gotten the news in 2 days…what did we miss?

Update regarding #64. The deputy from the sheriff’s department had to call the local fire department. They are here now picking up the garbage. This is the REAL job of our first responders??? This is sick! They are having to sweep up all of those cigarette butts and smaller items because they don’t want them to get into the drainage sewer system. Also, when I was giving my report to the officer, I noticed a State Trooper parked at the entrance of the street. As Murphy would say—Geez and Yikes!

I contacted the National Federation of the Republican Women. The Tate video was designed to promote violence against women and especially to intimidate women who support McCain-Palin.
I asked them to consider a civil rights violation lawsuit against Tate and the creators of this video. Given this onslaught of hatred, it is time to lawyer up, PUMAs. The letters to the media are important, but the media is too amoral for an appeal to decency. The Obama campaign is definitely too amoral and devoted to fostering divisiveness. JERUSALEM – Was Sen. Barack Obama a citizen of Indonesia at any point in his life?
That question has been circulating on the blogosphere with increased fury the past few days, since a photograph emerged of Obama’s school registration papers as a child in Indonesia – the world’s most populous Muslim nation – showing the presidential candidate listed as a “Muslim” with “Indonesian” citizenship.
An investigation into Indonesian citizenship law and a review of Obama’s biography and travels suggest the Illinois senator at one point may have been a citizen of Indonesia. That would not necessarily disqualify Obama to run for president, but it could raise loyalty concerns.
A 2007 Associated Press photograph taken by Tatan Syuflana, an Indonesian AP reporter and photographer, surfaced last week on the Daylife.com photographic website showing an image of Obama’s registration card at Indonesia’s Fransiskus Assisi school, a Catholic institution.
In the picture, Obama is registered under the name Barry Soetoro by his stepfather, Lolo Soetoro. The school card lists Barry Soetoro as a Indonesian citizen born Aug. 4, 1961, in Honolulu, Hawaii. His religion is listed as Muslim.
Jack Stokes, manager of media relations for the AP, confirmed to WND the picture is indeed an AP photo.
After attending the Assisi Primary School, Obama later was enrolled at SDN Menteng 1, an Indonesian public school.
Obama’s campaign did not return repeated WND phone calls and e-mail queries the past week asking for a clarification regarding the school documentation listing the presidential candidate’s citizenship as Indonesian.
Obama spokesmen have stated the candidate is a natural-born citizen amid rumors he may have been born in his father’s home country of Kenya, but the campaign has not addressed whether Obama became a citizen of Indonesia at any point.

Obama’s American mother, Ann Dunham, separated from her first husband, Barack Obama Sr., in 1963 when the presidential candidate was two years old. Dunham and Obama Sr. are reported to have later divorced. Dunham married Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian, and moved to Indonesia sometime between 1966 and 1967.
It was not clear whether Soetoro adopted Obama, either in Hawaii or in Indonesia, but there is strong circumstantial evidence that he did as far as Indonesian law was concerned.
In Indonesia, which was under tight rule in 1967, Obama clearly took on the last name of his stepfather in school registration documents. All Indonesian students were required to carry government identity cards, or Karty Tanda Pendudaks, which needed to bear the student’s legal name, which should be matched in public school registration filings.
Following his enrollment at the private Assisi school, Obama attended public schooling in Indonesia until he returned to Hawaii at age 10. According to Indonesian legal experts, it was difficult to enroll non-Indonesian citizens in public schooling.
Obama arrived in Indonesia at about the age of five according to most accounts, although it was possible he arrived at the age of six, according to a few sources. If Lolo Soetoro adopted Obama at age five or younger, then Obama would automatically have become an Indonesian citizen according to the country’s laws in the 1960’s, which stipulated any child aged five or younger adopted by an Indonesian father is immediately granted Indonesian citizenship upon completion of the adoption process.
Lolo Soetoro could have adopted Obama in Hawaii, although such an adoption would not have necessarily been recognized by Indonesia.
Indonesian law at the time also did not recognize dual citizenship, meaning if Obama became Indonesian, then as far as that country was concerned, his U.S. citizenship was no longer recognized by Indonesia. But U.S. law would still recognize Obama as an American citizen.
In a revelation that raised a few eyebrows, Obama last April disclosed he traveled as a college student to Pakistan in 1981.
“I traveled to Pakistan when I was in college – I knew what Sunni and Shia was [sic] before I joined the Senate Foreign Relations Committee,” Obama reportedly stated at a fundraising event.
The senator had not previously discussed any trip to Pakistan, either in his books or in scores of policy talks regarding Pakistan.
Prompted by Obama’s statements, ABC News contacted the presidential candidate’s campaign, which affirmed that in 1981 – the year Obama transferred from Occidental College to Columbia University – Obama visited his mother and sister Maya in Indonesia. Obama then went on to Pakistan with a friend from college whose family was from that country, the campaign said.
Obama was in Pakistan for about three weeks, said the campaign, staying with his friend’s family in Karachi and also visiting Hyderabad in Southern India.
Pakistan in 1981 was under military rule. It was difficult for U.S. citizens to travel to the country without assistance. It would have been easier for someone to enter Pakistan on an Indonesian passport.
If Obama indeed possessed Indonesian citizenship as a child, it is unlikely he retains such citizenship. The country’s bylaws require any Indonesian citizen living abroad for more than five years to formally declare his intention to return, otherwise risk losing his citizenship status. The law does not necessarily mean Indonesian citizenship would be immediately lost. The law can be overruled by ministerial order.
Obama’s registration in Indonesia under the name “Barry Soetoro” also raises questions as to whether he adopted that name in the U.S. at any time. According to Illinois state filings, when Obama registered as an attorney in 1991, under the name Barack Obama, he stated he did not have any former names.

My preschool age child goes to a parent/child sunday school program. We went today. While we were there, the Rabbi from our congregation was engaged in a conversation with a couple of the other parents of the preschoolers about the election. They were talking about how there is so much hate coming out from the McCain supporters.
I was so outraged, first because their lofty indignation about the behaviors of McCain supports and the total disregard of the hate being spewd by the BO supporters. Then throw into it the fact that I think it is so totally inappropriate to being having that sort of discussion during a Sunday school class for 2-4 year olds.
I was so tempted to gather up my child and leave, but I didn’t want to make a scene especially not in front of the children and my child was having a good time with the activities that I didn’t want to punish her. So I just bit my tongue.
When I got home though I fired off a letter to both the Rabbi and the Education Director…..lets see how they respond.
I’m still just furious.
ACTION STRATEGY IF YOU LIVE IN A SOLID BLUE STATE
Obama supporters will not change their minds.
Undecided voters will not make a difference in a solid blue state.
Therefore, those living in solid blue states MUST find ways to focus efforts in swing states.
A natural base to expand our efforts are McCain supporters. Hook up with them and urge them to become active. (Find them by hunting for yard signs and/or bumper stickers.) I’ve been doing this for weeks and NONE were involved beyond their plan to vote on November 4th. BUT, after speaking with them, many get fired up. They all agree there is so much at stake and the prospect of an Obama presidency is very frightening. I get the feeling that many just need a bit of encouragement to make phone calls in swing states. I also sense that many are shocked when they hear about caucus fraud. I drive the point home that in solid blue states, we know our state will go blue, so we must focus our efforts in swing states in order to have any hope of defeating Obama in November. Plus, I think some feel inspired, and maybe even a bit guilty, to learn I was a member of the Democratic party and I’m out there doing this for McCain! I give them some resources and links to help. EVERYONE is appreciative and appear extremely interested.

If in a few days BO’s lead seems to be creeping up just stick to the game plan – keep informing people about BO and correct misinformation about Palin (as well as other prowls you may be working on like passing out flyers, etc…). We don’t give up until the polls close on election day. Don’t despair. Don’t freak out. BO has always been his own worst enemy and he doesn’t know how to close the deal. Obama leads McCain by 48 to 45 percent among likely U.S. voters, down 1 percentage point from Saturday. The four-day tracking poll, which has a margin of error of 2.9 points.
Pollster John Zogby said the numbers were good news for McCain, and probably reflected a bump following his appearance in the third and final presidential debate on Wednesday.
“For the first time in the polling McCain is up above 45 percent. There is no question something has happened,” Zogby said.
He said the Arizona senator appeared to have solidified his support with the Republican base — where 9 out of 10 voters now back him — and was also gaining ground among the independents who may play a decisive role in the November 4 election.
Obama’s lead among independent voters dropped to 8 points on Sunday from 16 points a day earlier.

Let’s see, it was Obama who said if they bring a knife we bring a gun and “get in their face.” It was Pelosi who said that Democrats must win at any cost and held a sham primary. It was Obama who gave the finger to Clinton, and allowed his supporters to boo her. Neither cares if the destroy citizens or even the country. It actually endeared me more to her because it made me feel even more pain and empathy about what she has to face. She’s such a sweetheart and wonderful person (and qualified for VP)!

I would urge all to be cautious. I have noticed a decided increase in the hateful vitriol of the Obama supporters, and what portends to be the beginning of acts of violence stirred by the vile rhetoric. Obama is watching his hateful minions handiwork with glee, and the closer we get to November 4 the more the attacks and violence will increase. They are being urged on by their overlord, from his orders to “get in their faces” to his attribution of any objection to his election as the result of racial prejudice.

I ventured out of my Obama neighborhood yesterday to go about 40 miles north of St. Petersburg. It seemed like once I left the city limits, I was greeted with huge McCain Palin signs everywhere. I did not see one BO sign from Palm Harbor to Hudson Fl. It looks like St.Petersburg is the cut off for BO supporters. Looks pretty red in the northern part of Florida.

My friend called me to inform her signs were damaged, her neighbors, and every single sign I had just seen moments earlier were either gone or destroyed. All Obama signs still standing. It is communism at its best in my neighborhood. I seen a pic on here awhile back of a woman who put McCain/Palin on her roof with white tape. I am doing mine now, it is almost finished. I also went out and bought a HUGE plastic American flag to add to the roof under their names. I am NOT afraid of these people, I will NOT be silenced. New Orleans Puma, I believe the Bradley effect is real. I have been called on two ocasssions by pollsters and both times told them I was voting for Obama. However, there is no way in hell that I would vote for Obama.

What if these people heard about this strategy to distort the polls. For example, many Republicans listen to Rush Limbaugh’s radio talk show daily. What is someone called in and suggested this to Rush. I wonder if Rush would support this and call for listeners to do this if contacted by a pollster?
I know that Rush called for Republicans to change party affiliations so they could vote in Democratic primaries. I also heard that many Republicans did this, and it did help Hillary to some extent in the later state primaries.

It is the only copy that can prove he was born in Hawaii and not just a registered birth. As an OB nurse, I have signed many of these.

For all of you who are upset at the way Planned Parenthood does business, did you know that they annually receive a hugh grant of money from the United Way? I doubt they could stay in business without that money. Before i retired, the company i worked for made you feel like change for a nickel if you didn’t contribute a day’s pay (made them look good), but i stood the scorn after I found out that my money was being used to enable Planned Parenthood to step into a family’s business when and where they wanted to. Withholding a contribution is a very effective way to protest. Just like boycotting CNN, Oprah, The View, ABC, NBC, CBS, Katie Couric, Bruce Springstein, Barbra Striesand, SNL, my gosh, the list is getting unbelievably long!

The document on fightthesmears is a COLB (Certificate of live birth), NOT a COB. And there’s a good chance it’s a FORGERY anyway.
In Hawaii in 1961, the hospitals could give a COLB if the baby was not born in the hospital. But it’s not proof of Hawaiian birth.
So, the COLB may not be a valid document for eligibility.
The theory is that Barack’s mom had the baby in Kenya (airlines at that time disallowed boarding if in labor). All his Kenya relatives say they were there when he was born.
She immediately flew back to Hawaii and got a COLB. It is NOT proof of birth in Hawaii.
Plus, the mother was only 18 when she gave birth, and had had not lived in the USA for five years prior to the birth. Being 19 and a 5 year residence prior to giving birth are required by law.
By Immigration law, this disqualifies the baby from being a natural born citizen. To be a citizen, they would have had to come through immigration, but that would have made him ineligible for POTUS.
So, like most things we still don’t know about That One, it’s buried in controversy.
And here’s case 2.
Even if he was born in Hawaii, he was taken to Indonesia when his mom remarried. There he was adopted by his stepdad, and renamed to Barry Soetero. The records show that he attended school there, which by Indonesian law, he could not do unless he was a citizen.
However, the only way he could NOT be a citizen of Indo was to have came back through, again, Immigration, and have sworn allegiance to America before he was 21 (and we know how hard he tries to avoid that). There’s no record that he did.
However, this would not make him a Natural Born Citizen, and not eligible for POTUS. In fact, it would make him an Illegal Alien and not even eligible for Senator!
So, the recording from API, if it exists, not only give us a taste of Michelle’s racism, but would add another nail to the case that he was adopted in Indo.
That was one of Michelle’s (supposed) statements, that he was adopted in Indo and “was nothing to be ashamed of”.

I haven’t seen that at all. What I have seen is the video restimulated memories of violence and abuse against them. It also brings to the fore, as many things do on a daily basis, sexism and misogyny. Most women know that a percentage of men do not think this way. I think each individual woman has they own idea as to percentages, based on their personal and exposure to it through media and books.
That “feeding frenzy” as you call it was necessary action.
I don;t know a women alive who isn’t exposed to sexism on a daily basis. We’re sick of it. We are our priority. No matter which of teh current candidates wins, women will lose. I know I have my priorities straight.

Anger is good to a point because it motivates us to action but losing good friends over an election is just not something any of us want. Or need.
I almost had this very thing happen to me this last week, Frodo. Fortunately my friend & I, although originally cancelled a date for coffee, realized our friendship was far more important. We had a great time yesterday and never talked about politics.
Moral of story:

As for whether API is a flash in the pan coming out of nowhere, I do know they have been around for at least a few years. I follow events in Africa fairly closely (I have an interest in its history and current events, and have a few friends in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana), and I have run into their work on several occassions in the past.
Africa, being Africa, has few news sources that can be viewed as “independent”. Those that start out that way have been generally co-opted by the coup de jour and morph into propaganda sources for the governments. Which explains why API lists a corporate address in Norway. They can maintain their contacts on the continent as well as their independence if they are far out of harms way.
And the people of Africa value that independence.
Did Michelle Obama really make that call? At this point, I don’t know. It is possible that API was scammed by a pretender, or that we were scammed by some marketing ploy to drive traffic to their web site. The Obama camp insists it is all BS. But, API has NOT backed down or slinked away. They are adamant in their position, and appear to be exercising an abundance of caution in handling this matter (they note that they have been threatened by Obama supporters, but do not detail the source of those threats).
The reason stated by API as to why they have not released the tapes yet is twofold – one, they wanted to be clear on their legal position and two, they were giving the Obamas and the campaign an opportunity to come clean on their own.
It certainly would not be out of character for Michelle Obama to unload on a source she felt was obscure to the US, and frankly the anger she exhibited earlier has been under a tight lid – perhaps the pressure built up to the point to where the lid blew.
We should know something by this time tomorrow evening, one way or another.

I know what it is like to work your butt off and the more you work and succeed, the more you can’t get ahead. You spin your wheels – and just when you think you have made some profit and can pat your self on the back because you have money to keep your business afloat, the tax man cometh. I am not saying that it’s a fact that there is a case on Obama’s ineligibility. It could fall apart.
But, I am leaning toward that it IS true because of one thing.
This lawsuit was filed on Aug 21. It is now essentially two momths later.
The case hinges on one thing, can Obama produce a certified COB.
All he has to do is present it to the Judge, have it’s veracity checked, and if valid, that part of the case is over. 2 months later, instead of doing that the first week, he is using legalese to avoid doing so. Apparently, he has something to hide. Why not produce and end it?
McCain did all that was asked of him when it was his eligibility being questioned.
Three times, by the way. He had 3 lawsuits over it, the last one was thrown out just three weeks ago!

#417 hey Frodo, take yourself to see a good movie this week. I went to see “Secret Life of Bees” today and it was good. Not quite as good as the book was (they never are) but good nevertheless. (And you can have a good cry but it has a good ending so you can leave the theater feeling better)!
In this economy, I’m all for cheap therapy, ha,ha!
There are a couple other movies coming out this Fall look good too. One is called “My life w/Marley” about a dog (w/Owen Wilson!), the other one is called “Australia” w/Nicole Kidman and looks good.

Had a similar experience last week. Shook me up horribly. Colored my mood and spirit for a week.
Here’s some advice: Don’t go near any Obots for a week. I know, nearly impossible in some areas of the country.
Find an area near you where the people have McCain signs in the yard. Get out of the car and take a nice long walk there. It will really lift your spirits.
I was astounded to find an area like that near me. A mix of McCain and O signs. The Mc signs still standing. It felt like a bit of sanity in an insane world.
It feels awful when insane/unhinged Obot friends or family who have been trying to convert you for months accuse _you_ of being the crazy one when they see you are unconvertable.
Just another sign of the fascist crap coming down the pike if this guy gets elected.

“Only those born in the U.S.A. may apply.” That, in effect, is what the Constitution says to naturalized citizens who might think about running for president. They may not do so. “No Person,” states Article II, Section 1, “except a natural born Citizen … shall be eligible to the Office of President.”
The natural-born citizen requirement is one of those parts of the Constitution that has operated silently over the years, without litigation. But now comes Sen. Orrin Hatch, Utah Republican, to say we should amend the Constitution to take down that “do not apply” sign.
Mr. Hatch acknowledges what most scholars regard as the reason the Framers denied eligibility to naturalized citizens: concern that a foreign power might place someone inside the young and fragile nation and contrive to have that person elected president.
But that concern, says Mr. Hatch, is hardly so compelling today. And so, he argues, the natural-born requirement shouldn’t be allowed to stand, especially not since it works in what the senator calls a “decidedly un-American” manner. By which he means that it’s unfair to naturalized citizens, because they are denied an “equal opportunity” to run for president; and unfair to us voters, because we are denied “every opportunity to choose” our leaders. Not surprisingly, Mr. Hatch calls his proposal the “Equal Opportunity to Govern” amendment.
Because Mr. Hatch and Austrian-born Arnold Schwarzenegger, the soon-to-be California governor, are said to be close friends, the senator’s measure has been skeptically dubbed the Schwarzenegger amendment. But the amendment is no respecter of political parties. It would equally affect the career options of Jennifer Granholm, the Canadian-born Democratic governor of Michigan. Moreover, the interest in making foreign-born citizens eligible for the presidency is bipartisan. In the House, Arkansas Democratic Rep. Vic Snyder has proposed an amendment similar to Mr. Hatch’s.
The natural-born citizen requirement is conspicuous on account of the fact that nowhere else in our law is there a distinction drawn between those who are citizens at birth and those who become citizens via naturalization. Yet this seeming anomaly has an interesting and not irrelevant history.
In his forthcoming book, “America’s Constitution: A Guided Tour,” Akhil Amar of the Yale Law School points out that the Constitution’s approach to eligibility for office actually “represented a considerable liberalization of 18th-century English practice.” As he explains, under England’s 1701 Act of Settlement, naturalized foreigners were prohibited from serving in the Privy Council or Parliament, and from holding any office or place of trust, whether civil or military. “By contrast, the Constitution opened virtually all federal positions — the Congress, the judiciary, the Cabinet and the military — to naturalized citizens.”
Notably, even as they reserved the presidency for naturalized citizens, the Framers refused to make that reservation absolute, since they made eligible for the office immigrants who were already American citizens in 1787.
Mr. Amar credits the Framers with operating according to a general rule of openness to immigrant Americans. They departed from that rule in writing the natural-born citizen requirement because of their worry a foreign duke might come to America “with immense wealth and a vast retinue and then use his European riches to buy friends on a scale that virtually no homegrown citizen could match.” Here, too, observes Mr. Amar, America differed from England since the 1701 Act imposed no natural-born requirement on the head of state and in fact contemplated the foreign-born monarchs that soon would rule.
The chances that Mr. Hatch’s amendment might be added to the Constitution are, it must be said, very slight. Since the Founding, members of Congress have suggested thousands of amendments, but Congress has actually proposed only 33, and of those just 27 have been ratified. So far, no groups have organized on behalf of Mr. Hatch’s amendment. Nor does anyone really believe the country has a problem supplying itself with qualified presidential candidates.
Ultimately, what’s most striking about the Hatch and Snyder proposals is that under both there would still be a distinction between immigrant and natural-born citizens. Which is to say, there would not be complete equality. A foreign-born American must be a U.S. citizen for 20 years before gaining eligibility under Mr. Hatch’s amendment, and 35 years under Mr. Snyder’s.
Those waiting periods evince a concern that foreign-born citizens who aspire to the presidency must be essentially American. Were they living today, the Framers would understand that concern, just as they would also understand the desire to liberalize requirements for holding office, even the nation’s highest.

The Constitution says that the requirements for POTUS are:
35 + years old
A NATURAL BORN CITIZEN
and you must have resided in the USA for 15 years prior to running.
How do you prove you are a Natural Born Citizen (nbc)?
In our time, it is a COB (birth certificate).
Not just saying you are a nbc, or having you mommy say you are.
The problem is, if he has a COLB and he presented it, the clerk may not know enough to say he needed a COB (or enough cash was presented at the same time).
OR, it could have been handled by the DNC. And we know THEY would have not dug too deep.
The scary part of all this is that Obama could NOT be an FBI agent. The application asks some questions that he would HAVE to answer (like having a relationship with a know terrorist). Ayers would have sent his app into the trash.
But, because of the Constitution requirements, he CAN become the HEAD of the FBI, along with the CIA, SS, Homeland Security, essentially the TOP COP in the country!

Just a short “story”.. once I hired a young white girl. About 21, she interviewed very well. Out of 2 weeks, she called in absent 5 different occasions, boyfriend needed to go to the hospital, uncle funeral, she was sick, something.. all the time. The day I gave her a talk about it, she told me she was taking the afternoon off for her boyfriend. We let her go. She filed for unemployment and got it. I was not happy. I consulted my attorney who told me to forget it. California is a bleeding heart state and I will not get anywhere. I called a former HR person, she said it is very difficult and a waste of time. I didn’t think I could be part of this scam.
Long story short, I went to the court case even though I was extremely busy. I stated very clearly to the judge why I thought that the system should not reward young people for behaviour like this, blah blah blah. I told the judge that I am ready to pay her unemployment but I needed to let him know that I think it was a wrong message. She was there and she lied and tried to make me look foolish. I didn’t go for it – I had documentation. She lost the case and had to pay back all unemployment benefits.

I get my nails done at a very small Vietnamese salon. The owner and employees in this shop are all in favor of McCain — they told me that there are viral emails all the time within their Asian communities. “Palin mowed down 30 years of legislative squabbling in the Alaska Statehouse and then triumphantly signed off on the pipeline in August,” IBD noted.

McCain’s phone banks should make a special effort, especially in southern california, santa clara valley and the fremont area. There are huge asian communities — probably just waiting for someone to reach out to them.

The answer is very simple, Kerry is a Catholic and Obama is not. Two weeks ago in all Catholic Churches there was a sermon about the sanctity of life from conception to a natural death.No names were mentioned but it was obvious what the meaning was since Obama’s stance on abortion is clear whereas McCain has a more conservative stance and is pro life.
Ario – I think it is just sterotyping of black folks – mostly from the older generation. A lot ethnic Asians have liquor stores, dry cleaners, convenience stores and other small mom and pop ones… most in the lower income areas… and they get a rough crowd. But I really think it is generalisation and sterotyping and too much bad TV about gangs etc … that black folks are gangsta.
I think the younger generation having gone to school with AA youth, have a different view and are more educated about race.

I’m black, but I honestly had never before heard the facts as presented about the two political parties. I shared with a family member but he didn’t believe that its true.

Have lurked often however and have made a couple of contributions in the past. Have gotten a few “action” ideas here and been talking to friends and relatives about PUMA. Today I helped the McCain/Palin volunteers with voter registration at our local mall. I appreciate the hard work you are doing and “can do” attitude displayed here. Also value the encouragement I’ve found here and at other blogs to “keep going” and to work for democracy in our country.

And we should demand equal candor from Senator Obama. Raising taxes on some in order to give checks to others is not a tax cut it’s just another government giveaway.”

Hillary’s campaign, it was believed that she was this woman. Now we
know differently.
In the beginning, our country was pretty much Christian-based. We saluted the
Flag and covered our hearts in its presence, we sang God Bless America, The Star Spangled Banner, and many other patriotic songs about our country, we had devotions in school at the start of the school day, our television programs were family-based like Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best, and I Love Lucy, teenage popular tunes actually had words to them about love and silly things (Flying Purple People Eater), and kids were not allowed to wear revealing clothing to school. Call me sentimental or an old fool, but I miss those days. It’s not that I don’t appreciate all the new technology and advances we have made as a nation. But, somewhere along the way, many of us have lost our most basic value, Christianity, and all that it brought our nation.

I’m surprised that you are falling for the media spin. Believe me the public is watching and listening quietly about Ayers. It is one more chink in the BO armor. Drip, drip, drip it is coming out. I would have preferred that all his questionable background came out at once so it could not be dismissed bit by bit, but that didn’t happen. Keep pounding on everything old and new. Time is running out.
