Jackelyn Kennedy taught us about style , no one had to teach her how to dress and conduct herself in public. She walked and talked with grace and dignity. We were proud to call her our ‘first lady’, and as far as I know , Mo is the only one to ‘try’ to imitate her. She needs to get over it. I also believe Laura Bush is a wonderful first lady, she quietly supports her husband and she also does it with dignity and grace.IMO

Careful about making assumptions about what people are or are not doing to defeat BO.
Yes – this is a blog where we can list the things we are doing daily to support McCain-Palin.
However it is also a place where we can vent our frustration to others who will understand our fatigue.
Some days I write about what I’m personally doing here in Virginia and other days (like #442) I share my frustration. Some days I share links I found on the Internet and some days I ask questions where I need clarification for understanding issues. Sometimes I just read posts from others and write comments or responses to acknowledge others contributions to the cause.
I think that all of these actions are acceptable for this site. And in fact the variety helps to make this blog more interesting and engaging.
We all know from your frequent posts how passionate you are regarding BO’s defeat, but throwing out such strong language and jumping to conclusions about others only detracts from the good stuff you share.
I try to save my negative reactions for the obots – and to not go after those who are engaged in the same goal that I am pursuing.
I could defend myself and share all that I’ve done to counter what you wrote. But I’m not going to do that today as we don’t need personal arguments on this blog. Only asking you to ease up a little before you assume you know what each person who writes here is thinking or doing.
FYI – I am a black woman who supported Hillary and who has voted democrat all my life. But after Hillary was not chosen as the candidate I became determined to rally against the DNC & Dean, Pelosi, Reid & Brazile. After much soul searching I decided I would vote for
McCain-Palin.
But NO ONE in my family or my african american network understands why I am choosing not to support BO as the first black president. This blog is one of several resources I have found where I can state my opinion and not be viewed as crazy for supporting McCain-Palin.
I’ve been listening to progressive radio off and on today. I wander what these people will have to talk about if O is elected. Maybe they can shut down their network…….
I enjoyed that jib-jab the first time I saw… non-partisan fun. I posted it in the comic relief section of the action center (replied the action center savant).
On one of the posts last night I told you fellow PUMAs that a couple of buds and I were out to go and do a prowl. Success plus 2 more. They came in handy too. They are protecting my bedliner on my new F-250 pickup from the deer feed we bought at the Bass Pro Shop today. I hope the feed doesn’t end up tasting like Kool-Aide.

My gosh… what is WITH these guys??? I’m having an Edwards flash-back too now…. how he stood by his wife during her cancer, while having his “fling” at the same time. Maybe I asked wrongly here… it takes two to have a relationship (or, in this guys’ case 4?), so the blame is on the women here too. I mean… when these 3 (at least) women were having these affairs with him, how could they sit and watch those ads about him being so devoted to his family and not ONE of them speak up about how false it is? My husband and I live in California and we’ve just volunteered to go with the McCain/Palin campaign to Nevada next weekend to canvass neighborhoods. I wanted to get a PUMA shirt if possible before we go but I just checked and it says it takes 10 days to be shipped. Is there any way I can get one by paying for Express or Next Day shipping?
I can’t watch tv anymore – every five seconds it’s a BO commerical in Ohio.
I think this could backfire. People are sick to death of this nightmare election season – and Ohioans aren’t stupid…..we know that he can only afford all these commericals because he switched rules halfway through the game.
I love Anna7000′s idea about going to houses where McCain/Palin signs are and encouraging them to do more – take them flyers, explain about phone calls, etc.
Missouri only had l00,000 people at that rally or so because the Boss was actually there. The Boss was here (without BO) at Ohio State two weeks ago and there definitely weren’t that many people and some just went to hear Springsteen – that’s clear.
One more thing, at a dinner party tonight, someone mentioned those “bitter middleaged Hillary lovers that are Puma people”…they just don’t get who we are and what we’re about?
How do we combat that? If people think that, they shut down before we have a chance to make our case.
I wouldn’t worry too much about giving out your personal information when you write the editorials, etc. They won’t publish your tel # and usually just list your name and town, or sometimes just your name.
And if someone at the paper wrote back to you with the comments you mentioned, I wouldn’t worry too much about that either. Perhaps he was trying to start a dialogue with you, or maybe he was just a silly intern/BOT with not enough to do at work, who’s job was reading through the Letters to the Editor. I wouldn’t put much stock in his comments.
Besides, I’d say you’re a much better authority on what socialism is or isn’t than he was. LOL. Sounds like he’s been leaning over the exhaust pipe of his car too much; his brain is a little too poluted to function clearly.

I have to say this scared the crap out of me. Just last week I visited the SPCA to look at the possibility of adopting a kitten. It’s been quite a few years since the last time I was at the SPCA. To my horror — I found out that they routinely micro chip every animal that came in. I don’t know why this scared me — but at the time — I rationalized that it had something to do with the Will Smith movie “Enemy of the State” in which Gene Hackman warns how the electronic conveniences allow Bad guys in control to monitor our every move. Somewhere in the back of my brain — this upset me that these animals were microchipped… and I thought how they could monitor my location through my pet.
Now I watch that clip — and I’m furious. This is a plan to make us comfortable with being micro-chipped by first doing it to all the animals. I honestly feel like I want to bombard the SPCA with request to stop this practice without the permission of the owner adopting the pet.

I fell asleep watching Greta, just woke up to find a new thread. Your comment really takes me back! When I was homeschooling Beth, my youngest, we did lots of political field trips. She is now a history major in college now! She always had to write me a report about her activities and the things that she learned from those outtings.
Just one of the fmany real life things Homeschooled kids are able to do!

#126 I don’t have an answer to that one. Once it’s passed as a law that this will be our personal identification there will be no buying or selling without it. I can easily see it passing under the guise of protecting our identities (no more stolen identities), and solving a whole slew of problems (even voting and immigration). The Bible does say, though, that we CAN refuse to get it, but it will mean essentially starving to death or depending on the good graces of someone with the “mark” providing for us. Things are going to get very very bad at the end for us I’m sorry to say. In many ways, technology is destroying us. For example, technology has taken away countless jobs that became “computerized”….

Hey, All. SNL got it both ways tonight. They managed to slam her with Tina Fey coming on first with another parody and pointed questions about recent comments she made. Then they got Governor Palin herself, who stood graciously by as they belittled her. What is it they call grace under pressure? Style. She’s got style.
I thought there was coolness between Fey and Palin as they walked past each other, but I could have been reading that into it.
I wish she could have given her a little wink as she walked by her to show her that the slams don’t phase her, but it took guts just to be there.
And interesting that Baldwin picked up on the “that woman” remarks that Fey made post-Emmy win. He repeated them several times, knowing they had been barbs. By even saying them, they reveal they had gone too far.
As for the “hotness” of Palin, mentioned by Baldwin, I think that was in-character. He’s like that on 30 Rock.

For those who say that the Ayers attack will not work, I say that they do not know the people who will definitely turn up at the polls this year. They are Obama backers who want the bad news, that their candidate is a socialist or worse, a communist, to go away.
Much easier to win a race by calling us all racists.
Much easier to use ACORN to try to sneak in enough fake votes to throw off the election. So what if it is not voter fraud until someone tries to vote. It has already happened and it will continue to happen and they hope that they cause enough chaos that it cannot ALL be uncovered. They know exactly how many votes they need and they need a big enough pool to dredge for those ineligible votes which cannot be tracked due to overwhelming the system.
Nothing short of McCain getting more real votes will defeat Obama.

We just learned a few days ago about a woman from California, a friend of TDN, who has been exiled to the islands, most think because she is a ‘girlfriend’ of TDN.
I don’t think that is entirely why she went. She is a piece of a puzzle to TDN’s past! Didn’t we also learn that Bill Ayers’ brother is a friend of hers? Follow me here…………Obama (TDN) went to college in CA before he went to Chicago, right? So if he met this lady friend in CA, and she introduced him to Ayers’ brother, then Brother introduced him to Bill Ayers in Chicago, this means that TDN was associated with Bill Ayers long, long, before he went to Columbia and then on to Harvard, and long before TDN’s organizer days.
This is the connection, and why the campaign paid this woman so much money. She knows things…………..

Someone the other night stopped me in the street to ask me if I knew what “Chemtrails” were….He claims there are unmarked military planes flying over skies in several countries leaving trails containing mysterious chemicals that no one knows anything about. All sounded very weird to me. He showed me pics on his cell phone camera of these smokey trails in the skies and told me he’d taken the pics himself.
Made me feel I was having an out-of-body experience and watching a scene from a Men In Black type episode.
One of our Pumas is going to see if she can get into the Mills College library and find a picture of brother ayres and vera baker (?) in a hottub or some such. Should know by Monday.
There are Obama supporters who do not want to let us know that he is planning a socialist government at best, communist third world, at worst.
The people who do care about Ayers etc. are the real people who will show up at the elections and that is the older voters. Many of them lived through the sixties and do not believe what happened then was right. I hate Bill Ayers for what he did to my friends by his manipulative tactics back then, and I hate what he is doing to this country and the education profession and the children in schools right now.
I really hate that Bill Ayers, and his father Tom Ayers, plotted the Obama rise to power. Don’t like Soros involvement with moveon, don’t like Kos, and I really hate Bill Ayers in case I have not mentioned it.
One thing that Bill Ayers also said that I never see reported is he also said that he cannot promise that he would never throw another bomb. He didn’t want to close the door to that possibility.
So if Obama loses, look for Bill Ayers to start throwing bombs again. This time, he will not get off. Tom Ayers is gone, Obama will not be in power, and Daley will be seen for the criminal machine lord he is.
In addition to our other talking points: Between Annenberg and the Wood fund, Obama and Ayers had nearly 200 million dollars to give to improve education in Chicago. They gave it to outside sources, and to this day Chicago has the worst school system in the nation. They threw the money away.
Chicago has the highest taxes in the nation.
Chicago has the most corruption. And there is no cleaner in sight to take care of the mess. Chicago is tighter than the mafia ever was in NY or NJ.
To my family’s shame, I have relatives who helped build that in the early 1900′s and it is so solid now that it cannot be broken from within.
Everyone who wants Obama to lose has to vote for a candidate who can win.
We have a very influential radio host on statewide radio here in NJ who cannot vote for Obama on principle, but will probably vote for Ron Paul.
WHY?
Because he has to back up his own principles, knows he is throwing away his vote, but wants Obama to win so the country can just go ahead and fall apart because he thinks that if that doesn’t happen Americans will never wake up to what is going on here.
I disagree. Four years of Obama will not just wake our nation up. We will have given up and be a third world nation by the end of those four years, if not sooner. We will all be so beaten down, we will not care, or have the energy to do anything about it because we will be subsisting moment by moment just like the people who Obama left behind in the poor neighborhoods in Chicago who NEVER benefited by his representation of their district.
If you cannot vote for a McCain kind of change, your life will be changed against your will by Obama. And he has never made clear what that change will be.
Look to Obama’s back record to see his associations, votes, and the way he despises those who voted for him by his actions.
CNN was showing a clip of some PA folks last week. They are pretty riled up against the Messiah and by the sounds of it, its not pretty. The news reporter is saying it is due to race. Yes, we are all racists !

I also live in a small town in Indiana. A couple of days ago, it was really windy overnight. I got up and discovered that my McCain-Palin sign had blown almost over. I was going to go out and fix it once I got dressed, but discovered that someone had already done it! I know someone had to fix it, because I could see the holes in the ground where it had been, and it had been pulled out and repositioned a few inches to the right of them! I don’t know who did it, but I must have a sympathizer on my block.

I wanted to let you know that we now have a full-time voting-rights attorney at Advocacy, Dustin Rynders, so I am copying him on this email.
The kind of civil rights violation referenced in the article occurs, and much of it is directed against persons with intellectual or psychiatric disabilities. This is certainly something Dustin is aware of, and he will want to know if you hear of any such thing taking place anywhere in Texas.
As far as publicity, I know Dustin has been spending a lot of his time
sending out voting-rights information across the state, and he has also been making presentations to disability groups and persons residing in (or being served at) institutions around Texas (as have other Advocacy staff).

information I received last spring about voting problems in the Democratic primary in the greater-Dallas area. I know he is in touch with the political parties, and he has indicated to me that the state Democratic Party is reconsidering whether to continue the in-person caucus system at all (where all the problems I heard about occurred).

They say the adult day rehab program where Jack Justice attends took him to vote, without the family’s permission. What’s worse is Justice says the person helping him wouldn’t cast the ballot for his choice for President.
Jack Justice has been voting since he turned 18. Typically his family takes him to their neighborhood precinct. This time Primus Industries, his adult day rehab program, took him to vote. His family was shocked, but what shocked them more was that Jack claims that his aide commandeered his vote.
“They told me to vote for Obama, I said no I wanted to vote for McCain,” said Jack Justice, a voter.
Jack Justice says the person helping him, selected Obama’s name. His sister says the family is often asked to sign a permission slips for trips, but for this they were never notified.
“No permission slips, no nothing, he just came home and said he had gone,” said Nancy Justice, Jack’s sister.

CIA and NSA have been using this stuff for years, but the corporate world got hold of it and started using microchipping to analyze where their products are being used. Anyone who lives in New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia already have spychips in their life if they use EZ-Pass on the toll roads. My husband and I refused to use them in our rental car last month and just paid the tolls at the booth. It wasn’t that hard. UPS, USPS, FedEx and the like use microchipping in their tags that are put on boxes. That’s why one can follow your package on line on its trip to the recipient. The last time I sent a certified letter to our state retirement agency, I could go on line and follow the letter to the destination and know exactly when it was signed for at the office. That process is just new to the customer in the last two months at the USPS offices around the country.
Is it me or was this show funnier when I was 16 and roseannnnnnnadannnna was on. Remember how funny the news segment used to be with Bill Murphy and company?!

The only thing I would add regarding SNL sketch was that Sarah & Lorne Michael were watching Tina on a tv. Sarah comments to Lorne some criticism about how she is portrayed (I forget the exact comment).
I didn’t quite get the Mark W appearance. Something about him looking for the SNL actor who portrayed him and he didn’t like it. When Lorne hesitates about telling where to find the actor, Mark W makes a threat so Lorne rushes to share where to find the actor. Seemed a little odd placement in the sketch. Perhaps the goal was to show how some people get all bent-out-of-shape when mocked on SNL, and Sarah does not react that way.
Alec Baldwin scene kind of didn’t work because Alec was clearly reading his lines so he wasn’t actually looking at Lorne when talking – that was weird.
It was kind lame actually – not a funny ha-ha sketch.
I think the writers could have given Sarah some great line if they wanted to – in response to Alec’s initial negative comments about her (when he thought she was Tina). That would have been good.
I guess the goal was to just have Sarah on the show and gain some PR buzz that wasn’t negative. The news articles posted are talking about all the media that was outside the studios when Sarah arrived to the studio. I’m sure lots of people tuned in to see.
I think TDN’s mother may have been involved with the Ayers people before she went to Indonesia. She was a rebelious kind of kid, running off with a foreign student who already had a common law wife………then taking up with an Indonesian Moslem……… could it be that she knew the Ayers family way long before her son met them?
She’s the only one that looked good in the whole skit. LOL. They made fools of themselves; she kept her dignity and she moves rather well too, doesn’t she?
I guess some form of spychipping is already going on. When we send in our “mail-in” ballots, we must sign them. The signature (which is on the outside envelop) is scanned to verify its accuracy. The ballot is actually inside another envelope within the outside envelop. BUT, the actual ballot is read by the machine which leads to a lot of assumptions that were made in 2000 and 2004. One just has to trust the system in counties all across this country.
I thought the entire show now was without humor and insulting to Sarah the entire night. I think it was their intention of bringing her on to ridcule her but she showed grace under fire. I bet she’s glad that’s over with.

A vote against Obama or a Vote for McCain can be canvassed, as I have said earlier without ever mentioning the DEM ticket – Vera Baker, Ayers, Rezko, Nancy Pelosi, ACORN, FISA, Campaign Finance reform, My Muslim Faith, George Soros, Stealth Socialist Agenda, Alinsky principles, Logan Act violation, Trojan Horse Candidate and finally lipstick on a pig, Hockey Mom and Joe the Plumber. These are some of the reasons why one would not vote for Dem ticket. Add your own stuff I may have missed as the list is otherwise endless. I did not include anything of Joe the Senator and examples like split Iraq into 3, Pay Iran 200 mill on a rainy day, talk Indian accent at a Dunkin Donut or Seven-eleven, no coal mining are peppermint to the OBYWONT Tasteless Cake.

It is not at all helpful to constantly post negative opinionated views and attack others. This site has been a place to share ideas and information, and was always about supporting one another. I am beginning to suspect this destructive individuals motives. Thank you aloha-I have enjoyed your thoughtful post for many months.
I think they were a lot harder on Suzie Orman. They chickened out when it came to Sarah. It’s easy to badmouth her behind her back. But to her face. No. They are so brave when they have to look the victim of their shameless cowardly attacks right in the face.
They never wrote her into the rap, Ario, it was all scripted like that from beginning to end and rehearsed that way too. They did it pretty smooth.

Always before, the ones they were making fun of, somewhere during the show, they got at least one great line, tonight there was none. The rap song, was just that rap with a moose or whatever walking thru and gun fire, like Sarah shot it. I was so ticked over her treatment,maybe I missed the humor in the rap. Just my opinion. I’m just tired of the media bias. For people to have been so strong for Hillary, and to turn to Obie so much, like a loyal following of cult worshippers, it makes me sick.

If you think you can do some basic research such as determining who is your state-wide elections official, how candidates are placed on the ballot, and how they prove they are eligible by natural birth. The rest of the form is standard for all states. This is worth the effort.
I don’t see a thing in Obama either. There’s nothing about him in looks or action than I find attractive. He comes across as fake to me, in everything he does, says….everything is designed to appear “cool.” Not a thing seems genuine about him.
Sarah definitely has a “presence.” She comes across as “heavy” to me, in terms of having content and substance to her. There’s definitely full, well-centered whole person in that body.

I was in the middle of a large group of democrats last Sunday. We had a state senator there who is running for reelection, we walking beside each other and of course the election came up, someone brought up Obie, and everyone started laughing because they knew what I was going to say. I said I was for McCain, I thought he was going to choke and started to tell me why I “had” to vote for him, I smiled, and said “I’m a Hillary Democrat” and he just broke into a big smile like I was agreeing, then I let him have it and said ” I will NEVER vote for that man” my COUNTRY comes before my PARTY and that’s what everyone should do. Needless to say, he didn’t have anything more to say to me and I can’t wait to vote Republican against his butt too. He did say that if Hillary had won, his election would have gone smoother………duhhhh dumbass do you think?? I know that was because of what I said. lol
Maybe the trick to watching SNL these days is you need pharmaceuticals? As a friend once described it to me once, “better living through chemicals.” LOL. Maybe better TV viewing too?

I just want this election to be over with. I think. If he wins, I want to move to another country for the next four years, then I wonder if we will have a home to come back to when he is done with it.

The people have been really nice. Certainly more approachable and open-minded to our information than the super lefties in the bay area. We are used to a highly charged political environment in Berkeley and Oakland, which leans Daily Kos progressive, so it is refreshing to meet people that are not as extreme and willing to consider all points of view. All in all this has been a wonderful experience—putting my frustration in this election cycle into positive action is rewarding, and spending time with my wonderful like-minded puma buddy BillieJo is always a fun.

Yes it is true I was born in a trailer park and I am fine with being white trash. I am comfortable with folks who are called white trash, mostly they are good folks. We don’t have “white guilt” like those upper crust folks because we were on the losing end of the slavery situation if we participated at all. All whites are not the same, my ancestors are from Scotland and they didn’t choose to come here. By the way many Native Americans were enslaved also and genocide was carried out against Native Americans so wallowing in the past is not going to get any of us anywhere. We need to work together now. Now is what matters.
I just got off the phone with a friend I hadn’t talked to in awhile and she said, without my bring it up, that she is sick of the race baiting the BO camp pulls, that she considers BO unqualified for POTUS and that she has no “white guilt” because her family never participated in slavery and in fact were dirt poor Irish immigrants who were treated poorly when they first arrived.

When the rap sketch was going on she was bopping in her seat to the music quite naturally. At least she has rhythm & was moving well in time to the music. She didn’t look awkward or anything.
I read somewhere that Sarah had no idea what the sketches were before she arrived at the studio to tape. So to McCain campaign’s credit they didn’t try to dictate the content of the sketches.
It makes you wonder, but so many people do not get online and have only local news, here he is running commercials ALL the time, he reaches, Ky, Oh, and WV with them. That’s all they hear. There McCain ads to, but not as many. My son in law of all people tonight said he guessed he would be voting for “it” and I thought I would fall over and asked him if he wanted a country for his son to grow up in like the one he had always had? Started telling him points to consider and before he left, he said it was McCain for him. Another dem who has always voted down ticket. The more this goes on, the more I decide to not vote down ticket. I am really rebelling this year. I am ashamed of my own lifelong party and it kills me. I am a member of our local dem board and there are only 22 registered reps in our entire county, the rest of Republicans. If I can, I can’t vote in our primary, becasue there is never a Rep running so whomever wins the primary wins the election.

I can’t bring myself to vote any Dems to be perfectly honest….they all seem like traitors to me. I don’t trust any of them anymore. I can’t understand how they all be so silent and sit there and just watch what happened in the primaries and DO NOTHING. I can’t get over the concept: “If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.” And to me, they ARE the problem. It’s incredibly disheartening and infuriating at the same time. Once trust is destroyed, it’s damn near impossible to reestablish and they’ve all lost my trust. They seem weak to me now. If they couldn’t find a voice and the will to fight their own party’s corruption, or speak out against all the horrible things that went on during the primaries and now during the general election, how can they fight for anything else? They’ve sure proven to me they don’t think ANY of the things I value are worth fighting for or that they’re revolted and outraged by any of the multitude of outrageous things that have been happening in this election cycle. I feel like they’re all aliens from another planet, a bad one.

Any way today in Vegas a husband and wife PUMA were out doing a surveying job as they own the company. What a distortion! If he buys a company GROSSING 250k, will Obama tax that company? Joe’s current salary has nothing to do with it. He might both receive the tax benefit before the purchase AND see the company taxed also.
The issue here is that a company ‘making’ 250k may be owned by someone who gets very little of that as personal income — who is, by personal income, either under the tax threshold or even in the benefit level. Apparently Joe is an example of that situation, and was trying to ask about it. So he’s being attacked FOR being in that situation: a low income person who is about to acquire a high-gross company.
Has anyone gotten Obama to distintuish between gross, net, and ‘taxable income’? Which would his 250k threshold apply to? Obama’s supporting ‘pundits’ don’t even seem to understand that question!

I started out as a one man operation. My income after expenses before taxes was about $90,000. After taxes about $50,000. I worked a minimum of 60 hours per week.
I hired 3 workers. My income before taxes about $150,000. After taxes about it was about $90,000. I worked over 80 hours per week. I’m now responsible for my workers families and mine. They work hard for me and I work hard for them. When things are slow they do busy work and I bid jobs at or below cost to keep cash flow. When things are busy they work hard and love the overtime pay.
I wanted my business to grow. I hired more workers. I advertised more. Sometimes I had to have some employees do busy work so I could get the jobs when the work is there. My business grew. I averaged over 80 howrs per week.
Now I have 12 workers. Most of my work is now sales and managing. The new workers add little to the bottom line due to training and idle time but I want to continue to grow my business and some day become a big business. I realize that to do this, I give up something up front, to make it up down the road. My income before taxes about $350,000. After taxes $210.000. I worked over 80 hours per week.
I now own a boat and a bigger home and my kids are getting ready to go to college. Life is pretty good.
I make Over $250,000 per year. My taxes are going up. After taxes I will now take home $175,000.
I have lots of jobs to keep 8 guys busy at maximum full profit per job. Ergo I lay off 4 of the newer more unproducgtive workers. I do some of the work on the road myself when or as needed. My Income before taxes is about$250,000. After taxes $150,000. I work onaverage now about 60 hours per week.
I won’t really miss the $25,000. It was being plowed back into the business any way. I felt badly laying off those 4 guys. Their families will suffer I know. A shame they don’t have incomes so they could have lower taxes. I guess that means they don’t have that money to save and start their own business. Pitty I had to tell the 2 people I was planning to hire that I no longer could. I don’t think I will need to reduce the benefits for the rest of my workers – health care, 401-k, vacation and holiday pay. I did have to eliminate the company outing and Christmas party though.
Now my productive workers are grumbling about being over worked and being underpaid.
And if Obama is made the POTUS… I’m screwed blued and tattooed.
McCain is right. Obama is a socialist mentored by radical, anti-American black liberation theology. The grant money he dispersed for Ayers, his avowed terrorist boss, went into educating black, inner city youths in radical activism. None actually went into education.
And to make matters worse, an Obama presidency would introduce socialism on a massive scale. The Dems have proposed eliminating tax breaks for 401(k)s which would also eliminate the reawson employers give matching funds. On top of that, the government will mandate an additional 5% of your income go into social security to provide for you retirement.
Yes, the dems want to gut private retirement 410(k) accounts and force you into their government program which you will be dependent upon for retirement.
So if you don’t want your 401(k), vote for Obama OYEA! He wants your vote and will take [SUCK UP] your money.

How to get away with making someone or some group the targets of vile

Just a day or two ago, a male Obama supporter grabbed a sign on a stick
that a woman was holding in support of John McCain. The Obama-supporting
man ripped off the cardboard sign and then used the stick to bash the
woman in the face.
For a year, Obama was fully aware of the sexually-oriented abuse hurled
at Hillary every day: “bitch”… “witch” … “whore” …
“ball-breaker” … “c__t” … but Obama was SILENT.
And Obama is SILENT now as his supporters feel emboldened by that
SILENCE to step up the attacks on Sarah Palin.
I will not be a silent bystander to this abuse and degradation of Sarah
Palin or any other woman.

becoming more graphic, disturbing and violent with time. Second, this
time women are part of the attack machine — to be specific: women of

cheering on those spewing the vitriol, or remaining silent — not
speaking out against it.
Which brings us back to Psychology 101 and the “Bystander Effect”
or “Genovese Syndrome.”
The notion behind this is that an individual will intervene to help a
person in need when they are alone; however, when a large group is
involved, bystanders may refuse to help.

One infamous example is the case of Kitty Genovese, who was stabbed
to death in 1964 by a serial rapist and murderer. The killing took
place over the course of half an hour: the murderer initially fled
the scene, scared off by a neighbor, but returned ten minutes later
after _realizing that no bystanders had interceded on Genovese’s
behalf_. Exaggerated newspaper reporting following Genovese’s death
claimed 38 witnesses watched the stabbings and failed to intervene.

What started as “MILF” has taken a slippery slope right into a cesspool.
The next noxious installment was a Huffington Post story titled “Sarah
Palin Naked”

(My wife is cool with this if I promise to ‘first wipe off Palin’s
tranny makeup.’ I married well)”. The article itself is repulsive; but
the comments posted on the article were mostly men and women cheering
this notion on — and none in the Democratic Party spoke out to condemn
this careful and deliberate fantasy of Palin’s degradation.
Unchecked, the misogyny feast has intensified. Over this past weekend,
Senator Obama’s supporters proudly wore shirts printed in giant neon
green letters that said, “Sarah Palin is a Cunt”.
One female supporter was so proud of this t-shirt that she posted a
picture of it on Senator Obama’s website (it was quickly taken down,
however). Not to be outdone, the Huffington Post ran a story on Monday
titled: “‘Nailin’ Paylin’ Photos: Pictures from the Set of The Palin
Inspired Porn”

Did the Democratic women who frequent this website speak out about
HuffPo’s promotion of this revolting attack? No.
As if the porn weren’t insult enough, yesterday a 25 year-old rapper
posted a Youtube video (now

in which he raps about raping Sarah Palin, Barbara Bush, and Tipper
Gore, amongst others. The reaction this time: deafening silence. As Dr.

My husband and I were the victims of credit card fraud. It appears that a person can committ that fraud easily by just changing the last four numbers on their card. The way that works is that an issuing company puts up a standard 12 numbers in 3 sequences of four numbers. Those are the banks’s numbers. The last four are the individual account numbers for that specific account. If a campaign worker has the card numbers for the bank, all they have to do is que in the last four numbers at random, they will eventually get a hit.
Another thing is that credit card information can be stolen from a variety of sources. Waiters/servers at restaurants who will take your card and swipe it for you then bring it back are the most suspect. All they have to do is note the info on your card before they bring it back. Then they can go on line and wreak all kinds of havoc.
I feel like a piker compared to Greenfun and Bill Jo, but I just got back from putting out about 25 Puma fliers that I printed out from our Action Center. Every bit helps.

I watched the SNL BS today. IMO it was an all time low for them. However, Sarah came off looking fantastic and like a good sport. It showed me that she can take a joke and face those that would condemn her with grace.
SNL has a large audience made up of all parties. Sarah was cheered when she came on stage and I can almost betcha that they expected her to be booed. Hmmm, wonder why Tina Fey wasn’t on stage at the end of the show. Guess everyone can’t have the grace of Sarah.

He endorses both men as making good presidents, then contradicts himself when he thinks McCain has poor judgement by selecting Palin for VP. He also says he has been studying and getting to know Obama for TWO years. That’s right TWO whole ones ( I guess he thinks he knows him well enough while the rest of us dumb Americans still don’t). Thinks the Bill Ayers issue is irrelevent. Criticized McCain for using it. Claims Obama is ready to “change” and “inspire” Americans (there’s goes the kool-aid again). Yet Sarah with all that executive experience and overwhelming maverick success is not qualified.
Powell is a racist for there is more history between him and Barrack than 25 years of “friendship” John McCain. He is a socialist sympathizer because that is exactly what Barrack Obama stands for. Powell even believes in taking care of the world’s poor saying that is how to bring the world together for a better peace. Just where he gets the stats or evidence to suggest his opinion is valid above all was not offered.
After listening to Powell this morning I keep thinking of him at the UN stating with conviction of Saddam having “weapons of mass destruction”. No doubt about. Yet there were no such things ever found. Plus, he thinks Cheney is the best there is!

As Secretary of State, it was his job to build a coalition for the fight in Iraq – we went to war with little international support.
As Secretary of State, it was Powell’s role to bring credibility to the world – the fact that he was unable to build a coalition coupled with his sworn testimony regarding WMD and Al Qaeda’s presence in Iraq did anything BUT add to the credibility of the US.
And as the highest ranking military officer under Bush 1, Powell’s job was to employ the military to eradicate threats to the US. Stopping the advance when we had Saddam defeated in the first Gulf War, particularly when we had complete international support, only postponed dealing with Saddam for another day. As an experienced military officer, Powell had to have known that the US would have to come back some day in the future to finish what we started in the first Gulf War. He was a short timer at that point, and was more than happy to let someone else deal with it in the future.
Powell is an opportunist, who moves with the direction of the wind. He failed as a leader, and failed as Head of the State Department. This man has zero credibility, and has a record through which he has duly earned that loss.
For those who have not follweod Powell closely, he is very socialist in his world views.

Because of Colin Powell, we are now in Iraq. The American people had a LOT of respect with General Colin Powell; when he went to UN SECURITY COUNCIL and stated without blinking his eyes Saddam Hussein has WMD in spite of Richard Clark report there was no evidence of such existed in Iraq which is supporter also by Blexir (UN Inspector in Iraq); the American people BELIEVED Powell. His words were gold.
It was Powell who rallied the people to support Bush in invasion of Iraq. The invasion of Iraq was not about Al Qeada, although its true when Afghanistan was attacked to get Bin Laden, Al Qeada moved their operation right away inside Iraq border with Kurdistan. Iraq invasion was about WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION(WMB) in which Powell spewed at the UN Security Council. When the American people heard from Powell’s OWN LIPS, the American people supported invasion of Iraq; over 80% of Americans supported the invasion.
Did Powell apologized to the American people for LYING at the UN Security Council? I haven’t heard Powell instrumental in DECEIVING good people of this country.

For president of the United States, The Dispatch endorses Republican Sen. John McCain, whose experience, service and sacrifice for his country make him more qualified to lead the nation.
McCain’s Democratic opponent, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, is a rousing motivational speaker, but his experience and achievements — eight years in the Illinois Legislature and less than four in the U.S. Senate — do not stand comparison with McCain’s.
A resume containing so little evidence of leadership and accomplishment leaves in question Obama’s ability to handle the most responsible and difficult job in the world, especially at a time when the nation faces a combination of problems so large and complex that they would challenge even the most seasoned leader.
Nor does it seem likely that a man who has traveled in the left lane of American politics for his entire adult life really is the bipartisan centrist that he claims to be. And with Democrats already in control of the U.S. House and Senate — and the possibility that they might gain a filibuster-proof majority in the next Senate — there would be little to check the inevitable excesses of one-party rule if a Democrat wins the White House.
This could have a profound effect on the U.S. Supreme Court. A divided Senate acts as a check on presidential nominations to the court by preventing the confirmation of justices with extreme views. But with a filibuster-proof Senate majority ready to do his bidding, Obama would have the unfettered ability to appoint justices likely to be judicial activists, eager to launch a new era of legislating from the bench. Such a Supreme Court could end up as a rubber stamp for, rather than a check on, the White House and Congress.
While neither party can make a credible claim to fiscal responsibility, the dangers of more deficit spending, a growing national debt and uncontrollable entitlement spending are likely greater with an Obama administration. Democrats have not controlled the White House and Congress simultaneously since 1994. A return to majority status is likely to unleash pent-up demand to enact a Democratic wish list of new and expensive social programs when the nation can’t afford the ones it has. Given his party-line voting record in the Senate, there is no indication that Obama is able or willing to stand against such an onslaught.
But many of the policy choices the nation will have to make in the next four years are monumental and should be the result of a bipartisan dialogue, not of unchecked one-party dictate.
Debate and political give and take ensure that decisions have been fully vetted, that all interests and concerns have been weighed and that the resulting decisions enjoy broad public support.
Unlike Obama, McCain has a record of bipartisanship: He was a member of the Gang of 14 Republican and Democratic senators who joined in 2005 to preserve the Senate filibuster rule. Note that this courageous act, which enraged the Republican Senate leadership, preserved the filibuster power for what was then the Democratic minority in the Senate. And that was not the only time that McCain has bucked his party.
At a time when the nation faces serious problems, including international economic turmoil, immigration, health care, war in Afghanistan, nation-building in Iraq and foreign-policy challenges from the Middle East, Russia, China, Iran, North Korea and Venezuela, the president should have an extensive resume and long experience in grappling with tough decisions. Few new presidents have faced an assignment as tough as the one facing the winner of the November election.
From 5 1/2 years as a POW in North Vietnam, where he endured torture, through 25 years in the U.S. House and Senate, McCain has demonstrated the grit, energy and determination that the present challenges demand.
The choice is between a candidate who has been tested to a degree experienced by few and a candidate who is untested. In Obama, Americans are presented with a question mark.
Among the top problems facing the United States is its dire fiscal situation. The nation has a $10 trillion debt and other unfunded obligations to entitlement programs that total $53 trillion. The federal deficit this year is nearly $458 billion and some project the 2009 deficit could hit $700 billion. Despite these staggering numbers, lawmakers and the president just approved a $700 billion Wall Street bailout that they don’t have the money to pay for. In short, the United States is dangerously overextended at a time when a worldwide recession threatens.
For years, The Dispatch has called on the president and Congress to deal with this massive, mounting debt which threatens the prosperity and quality of life of generations to come. But year after year, the nation’s leaders have kicked the problem down the road.
Seriously confronting this problem will require a president able to call on Americans to make sacrifices for the sake of their grandchildren.
The president will have to ask them to accept cuts in popular programs, tax increases and lowered expectations of what government can afford to do.
Because of the personal sacrifices that McCain has made for the nation, he has unmatched moral authority to call on Americans to take their medicine. If elected, that is precisely what he should do.
The Dispatch urges voters to elect John McCain as president.
People will view Powel’s endorsement as “What did you expect?” a black was sure to support another black. Didn’t all the HRC’s blacks jump or were pushed over to BO??

Careful about making assumptions about what people are or are not doing to defeat BO.
Yes – this is a blog where we can list the things we are doing daily to support McCain-Palin.
However it is also a place where we can vent our frustration to others who will understand our fatigue.
Some days I write about what I’m personally doing here in Virginia and other days (like #442) I share my frustration. Some days I share links I found on the Internet and some days I ask questions where I need clarification for understanding issues. Sometimes I just read posts from others and write comments or responses to acknowledge others contributions to the cause.
I think that all of these actions are acceptable for this site. And in fact the variety helps to make this blog more interesting and engaging.
We all know from your frequent posts how passionate you are regarding BO’s defeat, but throwing out such strong language and jumping to conclusions about others only detracts from the good stuff you share.
I try to save my negative reactions for the obots – and to not go after those who are engaged in the same goal that I am pursuing.
I could defend myself and share all that I’ve done to counter what you wrote. But I’m not going to do that today as we don’t need personal arguments on this blog. Only asking you to ease up a little before you assume you know what each person who writes here is thinking or doing.
FYI – I am a black woman who supported Hillary and who has voted democrat all my life. But after Hillary was not chosen as the candidate I became determined to rally against the DNC & Dean, Pelosi, Reid & Brazile. After much soul searching I decided I would vote for
McCain-Palin.
But NO ONE in my family or my african american network understands why I am choosing not to support BO as the first black president. This blog is one of several resources I have found where I can state my opinion and not be viewed as crazy for supporting McCain-Palin.

My husband and I live in California and we’ve just volunteered to go with the McCain/Palin campaign to Nevada next weekend to canvass neighborhoods. I wanted to get a PUMA shirt if possible before we go but I just checked and it says it takes 10 days to be shipped. Is there any way I can get one by paying for Express or Next Day shipping?

And if someone at the paper wrote back to you with the comments you mentioned, I wouldn’t worry too much about that either. Perhaps he was trying to start a dialogue with you, or maybe he was just a silly intern/BOT with not enough to do at work, who’s job was reading through the Letters to the Editor. I wouldn’t put much stock in his comments.

I have to say this scared the crap out of me. Just last week I visited the SPCA to look at the possibility of adopting a kitten. It’s been quite a few years since the last time I was at the SPCA. To my horror — I found out that they routinely micro chip every animal that came in. I don’t know why this scared me — but at the time — I rationalized that it had something to do with the Will Smith movie “Enemy of the State” in which Gene Hackman warns how the electronic conveniences allow Bad guys in control to monitor our every move. Somewhere in the back of my brain — this upset me that these animals were microchipped… and I thought how they could monitor my location through my pet.
Now I watch that clip — and I’m furious. This is a plan to make us comfortable with being micro-chipped by first doing it to all the animals. I honestly feel like I want to bombard the SPCA with request to stop this practice without the permission of the owner adopting the pet.

I fell asleep watching Greta, just woke up to find a new thread. Your comment really takes me back! When I was homeschooling Beth, my youngest, we did lots of political field trips. She is now a history major in college now! She always had to write me a report about her activities and the things that she learned from those outtings.

Just wanted to let you know that all the flyers are in FL (and Home Depot,and in between!). Hint about dressing rooms: tape them to the back of the door. The clerks rarely go in and close the door. They don’t see them!
We also stopped at a heavily visited store on the line. Found one of those free paper deals. I took the papers out, took them to my truck, my aunt stuffed flyers in all of them while I was in the store. Went back and put them back in the rack! LOL!

#126 I don’t have an answer to that one. Once it’s passed as a law that this will be our personal identification there will be no buying or selling without it. I can easily see it passing under the guise of protecting our identities (no more stolen identities), and solving a whole slew of problems (even voting and immigration). The Bible does say, though, that we CAN refuse to get it, but it will mean essentially starving to death or depending on the good graces of someone with the “mark” providing for us. Things are going to get very very bad at the end for us I’m sorry to say. In many ways, technology is destroying us. For example, technology has taken away countless jobs that became “computerized”….

Hey, All. SNL got it both ways tonight. They managed to slam her with Tina Fey coming on first with another parody and pointed questions about recent comments she made. Then they got Governor Palin herself, who stood graciously by as they belittled her. What is it they call grace under pressure? Style. She’s got style.
I thought there was coolness between Fey and Palin as they walked past each other, but I could have been reading that into it.
I wish she could have given her a little wink as she walked by her to show her that the slams don’t phase her, but it took guts just to be there.
And interesting that Baldwin picked up on the “that woman” remarks that Fey made post-Emmy win. He repeated them several times, knowing they had been barbs. By even saying them, they reveal they had gone too far.
As for the “hotness” of Palin, mentioned by Baldwin, I think that was in-character. He’s like that on 30 Rock.

In the video posted by Kat in you Hat, you will notice Obama staring Hillary down when she brings up Ayers. You will notice that he is rapidly blinking when George Steph… asks him about Ayers. He is about to tell George a lie, and he is trying to intimidate Hillary, just as he tried to intimidate McCain the other night in the debate.
For those who say that the Ayers attack will not work, I say that they do not know the people who will definitely turn up at the polls this year. They are Obama backers who want the bad news, that their candidate is a socialist or worse, a communist, to go away.
Much easier to win a race by calling us all racists.
Much easier to use ACORN to try to sneak in enough fake votes to throw off the election. So what if it is not voter fraud until someone tries to vote. It has already happened and it will continue to happen and they hope that they cause enough chaos that it cannot ALL be uncovered. They know exactly how many votes they need and they need a big enough pool to dredge for those ineligible votes which cannot be tracked due to overwhelming the system.
Nothing short of McCain getting more real votes will defeat Obama.

Follow me here…………Obama (TDN) went to college in CA before he went to Chicago, right? So if he met this lady friend in CA, and she introduced him to Ayers’ brother, then Brother introduced him to Bill Ayers in Chicago, this means that TDN was associated with Bill Ayers long, long, before he went to Columbia and then on to Harvard, and long before TDN’s organizer days.

Someone the other night stopped me in the street to ask me if I knew what “Chemtrails” were….He claims there are unmarked military planes flying over skies in several countries leaving trails containing mysterious chemicals that no one knows anything about. All sounded very weird to me. He showed me pics on his cell phone camera of these smokey trails in the skies and told me he’d taken the pics himself.
Made me feel I was having an out-of-body experience and watching a scene from a Men In Black type episode.

There are Obama supporters who do not want to let us know that he is planning a socialist government at best, communist third world, at worst.
The people who do care about Ayers etc. are the real people who will show up at the elections and that is the older voters. Many of them lived through the sixties and do not believe what happened then was right. I hate Bill Ayers for what he did to my friends by his manipulative tactics back then, and I hate what he is doing to this country and the education profession and the children in schools right now.
I really hate that Bill Ayers, and his father Tom Ayers, plotted the Obama rise to power. Don’t like Soros involvement with moveon, don’t like Kos, and I really hate Bill Ayers in case I have not mentioned it.
One thing that Bill Ayers also said that I never see reported is he also said that he cannot promise that he would never throw another bomb. He didn’t want to close the door to that possibility.
So if Obama loses, look for Bill Ayers to start throwing bombs again. This time, he will not get off. Tom Ayers is gone, Obama will not be in power, and Daley will be seen for the criminal machine lord he is.
In addition to our other talking points: Between Annenberg and the Wood fund, Obama and Ayers had nearly 200 million dollars to give to improve education in Chicago. They gave it to outside sources, and to this day Chicago has the worst school system in the nation. They threw the money away.
Chicago has the highest taxes in the nation.
Chicago has the most corruption. And there is no cleaner in sight to take care of the mess. Chicago is tighter than the mafia ever was in NY or NJ.
To my family’s shame, I have relatives who helped build that in the early 1900′s and it is so solid now that it cannot be broken from within.
Everyone who wants Obama to lose has to vote for a candidate who can win.
We have a very influential radio host on statewide radio here in NJ who cannot vote for Obama on principle, but will probably vote for Ron Paul.
WHY?
Because he has to back up his own principles, knows he is throwing away his vote, but wants Obama to win so the country can just go ahead and fall apart because he thinks that if that doesn’t happen Americans will never wake up to what is going on here.
I disagree. Four years of Obama will not just wake our nation up. We will have given up and be a third world nation by the end of those four years, if not sooner. We will all be so beaten down, we will not care, or have the energy to do anything about it because we will be subsisting moment by moment just like the people who Obama left behind in the poor neighborhoods in Chicago who NEVER benefited by his representation of their district.
If you cannot vote for a McCain kind of change, your life will be changed against your will by Obama. And he has never made clear what that change will be.
Look to Obama’s back record to see his associations, votes, and the way he despises those who voted for him by his actions.

I was going to go out and fix it once I got dressed, but discovered that someone had already done it! I know someone had to fix it, because I could see the holes in the ground where it had been, and it had been pulled out and repositioned a few inches to the right of them! I don’t know who did it, but I must have a sympathizer on my block.

CIA and NSA have been using this stuff for years, but the corporate world got hold of it and started using microchipping to analyze where their products are being used. Anyone who lives in New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and West Virginia already have spychips in their life if they use EZ-Pass on the toll roads. My husband and I refused to use them in our rental car last month and just paid the tolls at the booth. It wasn’t that hard. UPS, USPS, FedEx and the like use microchipping in their tags that are put on boxes. That’s why one can follow your package on line on its trip to the recipient. The last time I sent a certified letter to our state retirement agency, I could go on line and follow the letter to the destination and know exactly when it was signed for at the office. That process is just new to the customer in the last two months at the USPS offices around the country.

The only thing I would add regarding SNL sketch was that Sarah & Lorne Michael were watching Tina on a tv. Sarah comments to Lorne some criticism about how she is portrayed (I forget the exact comment).
I didn’t quite get the Mark W appearance. Something about him looking for the SNL actor who portrayed him and he didn’t like it. When Lorne hesitates about telling where to find the actor, Mark W makes a threat so Lorne rushes to share where to find the actor. Seemed a little odd placement in the sketch. Perhaps the goal was to show how some people get all bent-out-of-shape when mocked on SNL, and Sarah does not react that way.
Alec Baldwin scene kind of didn’t work because Alec was clearly reading his lines so he wasn’t actually looking at Lorne when talking – that was weird.
It was kind lame actually – not a funny ha-ha sketch.
I think the writers could have given Sarah some great line if they wanted to – in response to Alec’s initial negative comments about her (when he thought she was Tina). That would have been good.
I guess the goal was to just have Sarah on the show and gain some PR buzz that wasn’t negative. The news articles posted are talking about all the media that was outside the studios when Sarah arrived to the studio. I’m sure lots of people tuned in to see.
I think TDN’s mother may have been involved with the Ayers people before she went to Indonesia. She was a rebelious kind of kid, running off with a foreign student who already had a common law wife………then taking up with an Indonesian Moslem……… could it be that she knew the Ayers family way long before her son met them?

I guess some form of spychipping is already going on. When we send in our “mail-in” ballots, we must sign them. The signature (which is on the outside envelop) is scanned to verify its accuracy. The ballot is actually inside another envelope within the outside envelop. BUT, the actual ballot is read by the machine which leads to a lot of assumptions that were made in 2000 and 2004. One just has to trust the system in counties all across this country.

Always before, the ones they were making fun of, somewhere during the show, they got at least one great line, tonight there was none. The rap song, was just that rap with a moose or whatever walking thru and gun fire, like Sarah shot it. I was so ticked over her treatment,maybe I missed the humor in the rap. Just my opinion. I’m just tired of the media bias. For people to have been so strong for Hillary, and to turn to Obie so much, like a loyal following of cult worshippers, it makes me sick.

I don’t see a thing in Obama either. There’s nothing about him in looks or action than I find attractive. He comes across as fake to me, in everything he does, says….everything is designed to appear “cool.” Not a thing seems genuine about him.

Needless to say, he didn’t have anything more to say to me and I can’t wait to vote Republican against his butt too. He did say that if Hillary had won, his election would have gone smoother………duhhhh dumbass do you think?? I know that was because of what I said. lol

The people have been really nice. Certainly more approachable and open-minded to our information than the super lefties in the bay area. We are used to a highly charged political environment in Berkeley and Oakland, which leans Daily Kos progressive, so it is refreshing to meet people that are not as extreme and willing to consider all points of view. Yes it is true I was born in a trailer park and I am fine with being white trash. I am comfortable with folks who are called white trash, mostly they are good folks. We don’t have “white guilt” like those upper crust folks because we were on the losing end of the slavery situation if we participated at all. When the rap sketch was going on she was bopping in her seat to the music quite naturally. At least she has rhythm & was moving well in time to the music. She didn’t look awkward or anything.
I read somewhere that Sarah had no idea what the sketches were before she arrived at the studio to tape. So to McCain campaign’s credit they didn’t try to dictate the content of the sketches.

It makes you wonder, but so many people do not get online and have only local news, here he is running commercials ALL the time, he reaches, Ky, Oh, and WV with them. That’s all they hear. There McCain ads to, but not as many. My son in law of all people tonight said he guessed he would be voting for “it” and I thought I would fall over and asked him if he wanted a country for his son to grow up in like the one he had always had? Started telling him points to consider and before he left, he said it was McCain for him. Another dem who has always voted down ticket. The more this goes on, the more I decide to not vote down ticket. I am really rebelling this year. I am ashamed of my own lifelong party and it kills me. I am a member of our local dem board and there are only 22 registered reps in our entire county, the rest of Republicans. If I can, I can’t vote in our primary, becasue there is never a Rep running so whomever wins the primary wins the election.

We could take not seeing Hillary for about 6 months after suspending her campaign but this running around speaking in tongues for BO is an abomination to many of us. We would like to inform all our readers that update on Michelle Obama story will be released tomorrow.
We have understood the importance that the American people put into electing the right candidate for the Presidency.

I can’t bring myself to vote any Dems to be perfectly honest….they all seem like traitors to me. I don’t trust any of them anymore. I can’t understand how they all be so silent and sit there and just watch what happened in the primaries and DO NOTHING. I can’t get over the concept: “If you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.” And to me, they ARE the problem. It’s incredibly disheartening and infuriating at the same time. Once trust is destroyed, it’s damn near impossible to reestablish and they’ve all lost my trust. They seem weak to me now. If they couldn’t find a voice and the will to fight their own party’s corruption, or speak out against all the horrible things that went on during the primaries and now during the general election, how can they fight for anything else? They’ve sure proven to me they don’t think ANY of the things I value are worth fighting for or that they’re revolted and outraged by any of the multitude of outrageous things that have been happening in this election cycle. I feel like they’re all aliens from another planet, a bad one.

Any way today in Vegas a husband and wife PUMA were out doing a surveying job as they own the company. Just over a ways was the trailer where people were doing early voting.Well the line was enormus and all around the trailer were Obama signs. Thats a no no and you can’t even wear pins or shirts of a candidate.They took their surveying equioment and took pictures and Mccain Lawyers are meeting with them.I hope they get on the news.

Once people started to see what is going on with Obama, things looked differently. People had to really look at what has been going on in our own county that is outside of the war, to take this country down.
Eight years ago we were hoping to defend ourselves from any more outside attacks. So far, doing okay but not thrilled.

What a distortion! If he buys a company GROSSING 250k, will Obama tax that company? Joe’s current salary has nothing to do with it. He might both receive the tax benefit before the purchase AND see the company taxed also.
The issue here is that a company ‘making’ 250k may be owned by someone who gets very little of that as personal income — who is, by personal income, either under the tax threshold or even in the benefit level. Apparently Joe is an example of that situation, and was trying to ask about it. So he’s being attacked FOR being in that situation: a low income person who is about to acquire a high-gross company.
Has anyone gotten Obama to distintuish between gross, net, and ‘taxable income’? Which would his 250k threshold apply to? Obama’s supporting ‘pundits’ don’t even seem to understand that question!

All over the world, even here in America, men humiliate, degrade, sneer
at, abuse and encourage others to humiliate, degrade, sneer at, and
abuse women.
But the worst shocker of all is that women who want to please men (or,
somehow, make themselves feel better about their own “superiority”) also
do it to women.
I cannot believe some of the stuff being said by Obama supporters about
Gov. Sarah Palin, but I do believe it — I just refuse to be silent and
accept it.
Much of it is PORNOGRAPHIC — as was much of the hatred directed at
Jewish people by the vile Nazis.
No woman is safe unless and until all women are safe.
Just a day or two ago, a male Obama supporter grabbed a sign on a stick
that a woman was holding in support of John McCain. The Obama-supporting
man ripped off the cardboard sign and then used the stick to bash the
woman in the face.
For a year, Obama was fully aware of the sexually-oriented abuse hurled
at Hillary every day: “bitch”… “witch” … “whore” …
“ball-breaker” … “c__t” … but Obama was SILENT.
And Obama is SILENT now as his supporters feel emboldened by that
SILENCE to step up the attacks on Sarah Palin.
I will not be a silent bystander to this abuse and degradation of Sarah
Palin or any other woman.
And I hope you will join me in that vow.

and Sarah Palin. First, the attacks on Governor Palin have intensified,
becoming more graphic, disturbing and violent with time. Second, this
time women are part of the attack machine — to be specific: women of
the Democratic Party are actually attacking Governor Palin in a sexist,
personal and/or demeaning way. Many others are standing by and either
cheering on those spewing the vitriol, or remaining silent — not
speaking out against it.
Which brings us back to Psychology 101 and the “Bystander Effect”
or “Genovese Syndrome.”
The notion behind this is that an individual will intervene to help a
person in need when they are alone; however, when a large group is
involved, bystanders may refuse to help.

One infamous example is the case of Kitty Genovese, who was stabbed
to death in 1964 by a serial rapist and murderer. The killing took
place over the course of half an hour: the murderer initially fled
the scene, scared off by a neighbor, but returned ten minutes later
after _realizing that no bystanders had interceded on Genovese’s
behalf_. Exaggerated newspaper reporting following Genovese’s death
claimed 38 witnesses watched the stabbings and failed to intervene.

What started as “MILF” has taken a slippery slope right into a cesspool.
The next noxious installment was a Huffington Post story titled “Sarah
Palin Naked”

in which the author writes: “Basically, I want to have sex with her on
my Barack Obama sheets while my wife reads aloud from the Constitution.
(My wife is cool with this if I promise to ‘first wipe off Palin’s
tranny makeup.’ I married well)”. The article itself is repulsive; but
the comments posted on the article were mostly men and women cheering
this notion on — and none in the Democratic Party spoke out to condemn
this careful and deliberate fantasy of Palin’s degradation.
Unchecked, the misogyny feast has intensified. Over this past weekend,
Senator Obama’s supporters proudly wore shirts printed in giant neon
green letters that said, “Sarah Palin is a Cunt”.
One female supporter was so proud of this t-shirt that she posted a
picture of it on Senator Obama’s website (it was quickly taken down,
however). Not to be outdone, the Huffington Post ran a story on Monday
titled: “‘Nailin’ Paylin’ Photos: Pictures from the Set of The Palin
Inspired Porn”

Did the Democratic women who frequent this website speak out about
HuffPo’s promotion of this revolting attack? No.
As if the porn weren’t insult enough, yesterday a 25 year-old rapper
posted a Youtube video (now
removed from YouTube, but still available here
)
in which he raps about raping Sarah Palin, Barbara Bush, and Tipper
Gore, amongst others. The reaction this time: deafening silence. As Dr.
Lynette Long comments:

saddens me that not only are women not outraged by this video but
participate in this. Again I feel frustrated by the silence that
envelopes the women’s groups that are supposed to protect all women not
just Democratic women.”
Women of the Democratic Party, beware. Will you sit at the sidelines
because she doesn’t agree with you on policy? Will you excuse your
silence because Governor Palin does not share your political beliefs?

Sounds like Acorn Registrants laundering Big Money into the BO’s Campaign. I wonder how the phoney registrations compare to BO’s donor lists.
My husband and I were the victims of credit card fraud. It appears that a person can committ that fraud easily by just changing the last four numbers on their card. The way that works is that an issuing company puts up a standard 12 numbers in 3 sequences of four numbers. Those are the banks’s numbers. The last four are the individual account numbers for that specific account. If a campaign worker has the card numbers for the bank, all they have to do is que in the last four numbers at random, they will eventually get a hit.
Another thing is that credit card information can be stolen from a variety of sources. Waiters/servers at restaurants who will take your card and swipe it for you then bring it back are the most suspect. All they have to do is note the info on your card before they bring it back. Then they can go on line and wreak all kinds of havoc.
Any place you use your card puts you at risk.

I watched the SNL BS today. IMO it was an all time low for them. However, Sarah came off looking fantastic and like a good sport. It showed me that she can take a joke and face those that would condemn her with grace.
SNL has a large audience made up of all parties. Sarah was cheered when she came on stage and I can almost betcha that they expected her to be booed. Hmmm, wonder why Tina Fey wasn’t on stage at the end of the show. Guess everyone can’t have the grace of Sarah.

He also says he has been studying and getting to know Obama for TWO years. That’s right TWO whole ones ( I guess he thinks he knows him well enough while the rest of us dumb Americans still don’t). Thinks the Bill Ayers issue is irrelevent. Criticized McCain for using it. Claims Obama is ready to “change” and “inspire” Americans (there’s goes the kool-aid again). Yet Sarah with all that executive experience and overwhelming maverick success is not qualified.
Powell is a racist for there is more history between him and Barrack than 25 years of “friendship” John McCain. He is a socialist sympathizer because that is exactly what Barrack Obama stands for. Powell even believes in taking care of the world’s poor saying that is how to bring the world together for a better peace. Just where he gets the stats or evidence to suggest his opinion is valid above all was not offered.
After listening to Powell this morning I keep thinking of him at the UN stating with conviction of Saddam having “weapons of mass destruction”. No doubt about. Yet there were no such things ever found. Plus, he thinks Cheney is the best there is!
Colin Powell is a man of poor judgement. He is not a leader he is only ordinary. He has lost my respect total and complete in that regard. I can only wish him well in happiness and health as a private citizen for he is politically irrelevent to me anymore.

As Secretary of State, it was Powell’s role to bring credibility to the world – the fact that he was unable to build a coalition coupled with his sworn testimony regarding WMD and Al Qaeda’s presence in Iraq did anything BUT add to the credibility of the US.
And as the highest ranking military officer under Bush 1, Powell’s job was to employ the military to eradicate threats to the US. Stopping the advance when we had Saddam defeated in the first Gulf War, particularly when we had complete international support, only postponed dealing with Saddam for another day. As an experienced military officer, Powell had to have known that the US would have to come back some day in the future to finish what we started in the first Gulf War. He was a short timer at that point, and was more than happy to let someone else deal with it in the future.
Powell is an opportunist, who moves with the direction of the wind. He failed as a leader, and failed as Head of the State Department. This man has zero credibility, and has a record through which he has duly earned that loss.
For those who have not follweod Powell closely, he is very socialist in his world views.
Colin Powell endorsed George W. Bush’s War! Then he turned around and blamed dumb-as-a-box-of-rocks Bush for fooling him.
Looks like he has been fooled again.

Because of Colin Powell, we are now in Iraq. The American people had a LOT of respect with General Colin Powell; when he went to UN SECURITY COUNCIL and stated without blinking his eyes Saddam Hussein has WMD in spite of Richard Clark report there was no evidence of such existed in Iraq which is supporter also by Blexir (UN Inspector in Iraq); the American people BELIEVED Powell. His words were gold.
It was Powell who rallied the people to support Bush in invasion of Iraq. The invasion of Iraq was not about Al Qeada, although its true when Afghanistan was attacked to get Bin Laden, Al Qeada moved their operation right away inside Iraq border with Kurdistan. Iraq invasion was about WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION(WMB) in which Powell spewed at the UN Security Council. When the American people heard from Powell’s OWN LIPS, the American people supported invasion of Iraq; over 80% of Americans supported the invasion.
Did Powell apologized to the American people for LYING at the UN Security Council? I haven’t heard Powell instrumental in DECEIVING good people of this country.
Powell’s endorsement don’t mean diddly squat especially for people like who joined Vietnam Vets opposing invasion of Iraq; what it does is AWAKEN an old wound, participation of Colin Powell in DECEPTION.

I am getting extremely sick of hearing the same-ol’ same-ol’ repeated over and over of Mac making a mistake by picking Palin because she’s inexperienced! B*S*! She’s just as experienced as Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter were… all governors! She’s just as experienced as the other two that were being touted as possible VEEP’s for Mac: Romney and the MN governer! Why is it that with EQUAL experience she’s LESS experienced? For president of the United States, The Dispatch endorses Republican Sen. John McCain, whose experience, service and sacrifice for his country make him more qualified to lead the nation.
McCain’s Democratic opponent, Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, is a rousing motivational speaker, but his experience and achievements — eight years in the Illinois Legislature and less than four in the U.S. Senate — do not stand comparison with McCain’s.
A resume containing so little evidence of leadership and accomplishment leaves in question Obama’s ability to handle the most responsible and difficult job in the world, especially at a time when the nation faces a combination of problems so large and complex that they would challenge even the most seasoned leader.
Nor does it seem likely that a man who has traveled in the left lane of American politics for his entire adult life really is the bipartisan centrist that he claims to be. And with Democrats already in control of the U.S. House and Senate — and the possibility that they might gain a filibuster-proof majority in the next Senate — there would be little to check the inevitable excesses of one-party rule if a Democrat wins the White House.
This could have a profound effect on the U.S. Supreme Court. A divided Senate acts as a check on presidential nominations to the court by preventing the confirmation of justices with extreme views. But with a filibuster-proof Senate majority ready to do his bidding, Obama would have the unfettered ability to appoint justices likely to be judicial activists, eager to launch a new era of legislating from the bench. Such a Supreme Court could end up as a rubber stamp for, rather than a check on, the White House and Congress.
While neither party can make a credible claim to fiscal responsibility, the dangers of more deficit spending, a growing national debt and uncontrollable entitlement spending are likely greater with an Obama administration. Democrats have not controlled the White House and Congress simultaneously since 1994. A return to majority status is likely to unleash pent-up demand to enact a Democratic wish list of new and expensive social programs when the nation can’t afford the ones it has. Given his party-line voting record in the Senate, there is no indication that Obama is able or willing to stand against such an onslaught.
But many of the policy choices the nation will have to make in the next four years are monumental and should be the result of a bipartisan dialogue, not of unchecked one-party dictate.
Debate and political give and take ensure that decisions have been fully vetted, that all interests and concerns have been weighed and that the resulting decisions enjoy broad public support.
Unlike Obama, McCain has a record of bipartisanship: He was a member of the Gang of 14 Republican and Democratic senators who joined in 2005 to preserve the Senate filibuster rule. Note that this courageous act, which enraged the Republican Senate leadership, preserved the filibuster power for what was then the Democratic minority in the Senate. And that was not the only time that McCain has bucked his party.
At a time when the nation faces serious problems, including international economic turmoil, immigration, health care, war in Afghanistan, nation-building in Iraq and foreign-policy challenges from the Middle East, Russia, China, Iran, North Korea and Venezuela, the president should have an extensive resume and long experience in grappling with tough decisions. Few new presidents have faced an assignment as tough as the one facing the winner of the November election.
From 5 1/2 years as a POW in North Vietnam, where he endured torture, through 25 years in the U.S. House and Senate, McCain has demonstrated the grit, energy and determination that the present challenges demand.
The choice is between a candidate who has been tested to a degree experienced by few and a candidate who is untested. In Obama, Americans are presented with a question mark.
Among the top problems facing the United States is its dire fiscal situation. The nation has a $10 trillion debt and other unfunded obligations to entitlement programs that total $53 trillion. The federal deficit this year is nearly $458 billion and some project the 2009 deficit could hit $700 billion. Despite these staggering numbers, lawmakers and the president just approved a $700 billion Wall Street bailout that they don’t have the money to pay for. In short, the United States is dangerously overextended at a time when a worldwide recession threatens.
For years, The Dispatch has called on the president and Congress to deal with this massive, mounting debt which threatens the prosperity and quality of life of generations to come. But year after year, the nation’s leaders have kicked the problem down the road.
Seriously confronting this problem will require a president able to call on Americans to make sacrifices for the sake of their grandchildren.
The president will have to ask them to accept cuts in popular programs, tax increases and lowered expectations of what government can afford to do.
Because of the personal sacrifices that McCain has made for the nation, he has unmatched moral authority to call on Americans to take their medicine. If elected, that is precisely what he should do.

He knows McCain never said anything about BO being a Muslim also it has been proven BO has gone much more negative then McCain. I’ve already sent my concern to David Buerger for him to read tomorrow when he get’s in the office. Health Care is an important issue for everyday people and seems to have been covered in shamefully poor detail in the media and elsewhere.
Yesterday I saw Tina say that if McCain/Palin win, she will move off the planet Earth. How disappointing. Fey is an accomplished working mother — how can she not appreciate the success of another accomplished working mother? I also saw Fey say that she thinks she is as intelligent as Palin, and that isn’t smart enough to be VP. Equally disappointing. Why does Fey feel that Palin’s career of service to the people of Alaska is on the same plane as Fey’s career of skit/sitcom-writing & successfully reading lines? C’mon women!!! Support each other!!!!!!
