Hillbuzz makes the point I’ve been pushing for months — the DONC hates its base. They hate us. Don’t want to be seen with us; disdain our manners and our mores; distance themselves from our habits and our biases. When we got back from Denver and learned that McCain had pulled an upset by picking Sarah Palin as VP we offered the DONC for sale on EBay (remember bmw60′s priceless comments?) and got 1,500 inquiries in 24 hours. As I said then,

They never intended to help you, and they never will. ACORN is a scam, just like obama and his upper middle-class (pretty much all-white male) backers, and they’ve perpetrated their fraud on you, at your expense.)).
Dare to disagree with or oppose The One? Be prepared for an onslaught unmitigated by decency, inclusive principles, or restraint of any kind. We’ve catalogued the insults and degradation many times here on this blog: the comments that cursed our loved ones to die in botched back-alley abortions, the threats of righteous violence if obama loses, the by-now toothless accusations of racism (yet they still sting). We’ve been called witches, bitches, and cunts — frequently and publicly. We watched how they portrayed Hillary, and we documented their pornographic degradation of Sarah Palin. (“my black brothers will gang rape Sarah Palin,” “fucking whore,” “dominatrix,” “pom-pom girl,” “sex slave,” and of course “cunt” over and over again).
And now they savage S. Joseph Wurzelbacher, aka Joe the Plumber. Even Joe Biden is doing it. We’re told he’s stupid, ugly, racist, poor, dumb, a fraud, and a liar. He’s a guy so he probably won’t be gang-raped or figuratively f**cked by teh Boiz. He probably won’t be photo-shopped with a ball gag in his mouth being whipped by Markos in drag. That probably will never happen. Maybe Maureen Dowd will devote a column to how she’d never have sex with someone so poor. But probably the most humiliating thing he’ll have to live down is Diane Sawyer reminding him and millions of us that Joe the Plumber will probably NEVER make enough money to qualify for obama’s tax increases.
What a strange, strange beast the Democratic Party has become.
No one believed us when we claimed that Obama stole the caucuses with fraud and intimidation. And like Cassandra, we now watch as Obama’s Trojan horse unleashes ACORN to burn Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania down.
DEMOCRATS. Democrats did this.
And they continue to do it every day.
This is the new DNC, and it’s why we call them the DONC. They don’t represent us, our values, or our experiences. In fact, they represent everything we always thought we hated about Republicans. As Pumas, our eyes were opened back in February. We’ve known for a LONG time what the rest of the country is just learning — that the Democratic Party has been hijacked by a shrieking band of character assassins and thugs.
ACORN and obama thought they could get away with trashing our voters and our democratic processes in order to win. They succeeded in starting a fire, that’s for sure. But it’s not the one they meant to start.
As the evidence of massive fraud and ugly tactics mounts in every swing state in the last 3 weeks of this horrible election, the DONC will soon learn that most people hate arsonists. That instead of destroying their victims, obama and the DONC have ignited us to unite and fight. Not on their terms however, and not with their tools. We are fighting fire with water — the powerful and quiet undercurrent of decency, good will and courage which connects all average citizens and revitalizes our sense of community and shared purpose.
Our silent revolution will be quick and devastatingly effective. It will take place on Tuesday, November 4th, 2008 beginning at 7am and ending at 9pm eastern. The only weapon we will use is a ballot, and there will be no casualties. We’re Pumas. We work quietly and without fuss or fanfare.
And once the Obama Movement’s incendiary assault on our voters has been permanently doused on that day, and he and his minions have been swept back to Chicago for good, we’ll begin the hard work of rebuilding our party and the reputation the BOIZ so recklessly tried to destroy.

Every time I see a picture or description from DEMOCRATS of Sarah or Hillary in pornographic degradation I think of my daughters and a repulsive image of their heads photoshopped into a porn picture pops into mine. This is what will happen to them if you don’t fight, the voice in my head tells me.

Character and Ability to bring change = McCain the winner!
It all comes down to two things:
1. Character – John McCain has shown that he will be honest and take part of the blame when he is responsible. Obama has shown a propensity to shift the focus of the conversation, blame others, make excuses, of flat out lie. Two things come to mind here. a. Birds of a feather do indeed flock together; and
b. As Barack said during the primaries, “Words have meaning.” He has said too many things that make you wonder about his true feelings, intentions, and beliefs. His words do have meaning, and he can’t keep trying to, as he says, “Reframe the conversation.”
2. Who has truly shown an ability to work with the other side of the aisle. While John McCain’s ideas aren’t always the best, he has demonstrated that he can and does work with others on hot topics to come to a concensus. On the other hand, Obama has not once shown an ability to “reach across the aisle.” He is the MOST LIBERAL member of the senate as his voting record shows. Obama votes 100% of the time with Reid and 97% of the time with his Pelosi lead party. That’s a
0-3% chance of change.
So I guess McCain beats Obama by 7pts. He voted against his party 10% of the time.

Charlie Rose had Pelosi on exclusively for an hour last night. Had some hard hittng questions.
She answered them. She answered a lot of questions -extensively and in detail. It made clear why the Dems have been so relentless in winning back the White House and gaining a majority in the Congress.
She also spoke extensively and in DETAIL on on how the current Administration has roadblocked so many issues – and how the Wall Street crisis had blind-sided them.
All-in-all , here is what I got from the entire interview.
The Democratic Party was not going to take ANY CHANCES, whatsoever, on losing this election–because of the last 8 years.
Bush Cheney found every means to run our country and our “government” – without our government “governing” – and once they got that ball rolling – they never looked back.
The manner in which they got us into this war was irreversible once they started down that path.
20 billion dollars a week on a War for Oil – and Halliburton – adds up fast – think about it.
The cost to our domestic “economy” is going to take a huge force of focus and determination to wrestle our country up out of this 8 years (I know, we know all know this)
…personally, Pelosi’s detailed answers surprised me. I thought long and hard about the Democratic Party’s motives last night – to win at all costs – take no chances on a continuation of what got us here.
…in conclusion, I hate what has happened in this election – but I hate more what has happened to our country over the last eight years.
…Hillary may have come to understand – more than we know – about winning back our country – at all costs. Obama went after a huge block of voters (18-30) to that end.
Gore nor Kerry could win the White House “fairly”. There was no democracy in the last two elections, was there?
It appears to me that the Democratic Party took no chances this time – even if it meant having to fight the Republican Party with their own win-at-all-costs rule-book.

But what is beyond dispute is that Edison has never performed as poorly in a single one of its schools as has Gotham’s Board of Ed in the five schools the mayor proposed for privatization. In those schools, more than 80 percent of the students couldn’t read or do math at grade level. Nothing that Edison might have done could possibly have made them any worse—and might well have improved them….
Yet ACORN used every tactic in its comprehensive playbook to scuttle the Edison plan. It intimidated schools chancellor Harold Levy into letting it print leaflets at city expense, filled with false information about Edison’s record, including the charge that the firm expelled children for poor grades. ACORN obtained from school officials lists of the addresses and phone numbers of parents, whom it then barraged with calls and letters. When Edison reps tried to make their case at public forums in Harlem, ACORN activists shouted them down. For good measure, ACORN staged a noisy demonstration outside Edison’s headquarters, complete with the 12-foot-high inflated rat that is an ugly staple of all union demonstrations in New York against non-unionized companies…

Morning pumas – don’t think anyone has posted this yet – quickly went through this morning posts – did anyone see DAVID LETTERMAN show with Sen McCain – OMG – if you think THE VIEW was bad – Letterman obviously had a blank blank for the Senator for standing him up – Sen McCain even said HE SCREWED UP – so then Letterman went for him – in his nice little cute way – starting off saying that he is an INDEPENDENT which of course you know what is coming next – he railed questions at the Senator ranging from remarks in the rallies about Obama (of course they were responded back the McCain style – nicely), to Gov Palin’s remarks about terrorists – of course Ayers was mentioned – and then Letterman stated that McCain was friends with Gordon Liddy and was even in his house – - he went into everything that was discussed at the debate but was not as nice as OBAMA was – now who would have thunk I would even ever say that – so the response to me is that I will send a letter and hope others do as well to The Letterman Show – asking Davey boy to please stick to being a “comedian” or day job of talk show host and leave the unsavory political jabs to himself and that I will personally boycott all his sponsers – I have never heard OPRAH make bad comments about McCain certainly not in his face like Letterman was – finally when McCain had enough of this – he said to Letterman what is this all about – and Davey boy just smiled and went to commercial break – I think he did more damage from the plus that Senator McCain got from the debates – in my humble opinion -

Look at the facts and you will see there is no other choice for President at this time other than John McCain. If people will truely take the time and research the issues you will all see that our country cannot afford an Obama presidency. Good morning PUMAs – New Mexico needs help! I was at a luncheon the other day when the Santa Fe County Clerk was guest speaker. She didn’t think ACORN was a problem in Santa Fe although I have talked with people who have encountered them. I asked her how her office verifies eligibility to vote (citizenship) since people with Green Cards and Guest Worker permits who are not citizens would have a SS# and Drivers Licence (plus – fake documents are easy to get and NM allows illegals to have D.L.). Neither she or her assistant could answer that questions – plus in the last days of registration, she recommended that those newly registered voters go ahead and voter early (“Just trying to make voting easy for these new voters”, she said.) When asked what happens to those votes (since their citizenship couldn’t be verified that quickly, she said she trusts people who have to sign their forms and those ballots go into the locked box. THEY SHOULD BE CAST AS PROVISIONAL UNTIL THEIR REGISTRATION IS VERIFIED! Also, the NM GOP released this press release yesterday:

The Republican Party released copies of public records demonstrating 6 specific examples of fraudulent voter registrations, including one for the well known 80’s pop band Duran-Duran. The party also released 28 examples of suspected voter fraud and possible identity theft that occurred in the 2008 New Mexico primary.
“It is safe to say that the number of illegal votes being cast dwarfs the 366 votes that decided the 2000 Presidential election in New Mexico,” said Nina Martinez, Secretary for the Republican Party of New Mexico. “Barack Obama contributed $832,000 to ACORN, organized an ACORN subsidiary, represented them as their attorney, trained some of their members and received ACORN’s endorsement. Obama should withdraw his financial support from ACORN and come clean about what he knows of their activities. Every fraudulent vote cancels out an honest vote. We must ensure the integrity of this year’s election.”
Gov. Richardson has promised to deliver New Mexico for Obama (remember NM went for Hillary but he came out in support of Obama and so did most of the delegates).
I don’t know what you all can do to help N.M. but I am open to your suggestions.
By the way, Lady Lynn de Rothschild (Hillary supporter) will be in Santa Fe along with Janine Turner for a McCain Women’s Coalition Victory Reception this Saturday. If there are any PUMAs in Santa Fe, it should be a good event (it is from 4-5 pm). Also, Sarah Palin will be in Roswell on Sunday.

The Santa Fe New Mexican is the main paper here and is totally one-sided, so much so that we have cancelled our subscription – when you read the letters to the editor and reader comments, you will see what a looney left paper it is and who reads it. The other one is the Albuquerque Journal, the Santa Fe edition is called the Journal de Santa Fe. There is a small paper with a balanced to conservative bent – the New Mexico Free Press. Gogandalf – thanks for the help. If there are any PUMAs out there in Santa Fe and want to help, I am trying to get a group together to pass out flyers. There were about 20 OBAMA supporters passing flyers out at the hospital yesterday and, of course, they are everywhere. The radical lefties here (I thought they were all about peace, love, no war, etc.) are actually very angry, aggressive bullies and not many people I have met are willing to be in public with NOBAMA flyers. But when I did wear a McCain * Palin tshirt, I did get a few comments “Love Your Shirt” and didn’t get shot at! I think that there are a lot of ‘traditional’ Democrats who don’t like Obama but are having a hard time deciding to vote for someone of a different party.

McCain effectively put into view the flawed redistribution principles of an obama/Biden presidency no matter how many times he says he’s not for punishing the American Dream, the Joe the Plummer story brings it out. Even deeper than that McCain should have said

In 1848, the founder of Communism-Karl Marx-wrote in his infamous Manifest of the Communist Party about the “crying inequalities in the distribution of wealth.” Then, in 1867, in what has been referred to as his masterpiece, the first volume of Das Kapital was published. In this anti-capitalism work, Marx continues his extolling of Communism and advises that wealth must be redistributed from the ‘rich-and-evil wealthy’ to the ‘poor-and-downtrodden’.
In 1875, Marx continued with his theme with his treatise Critique of the Gotha Program, in which he expounds upon and summarizes the principles of a Communist system. It is from this work that Marx wrote of the distribution of society’s wealth: “From each according to his abilities, to each according to his need.” With this, he advises the reader that those who are the most able should and must produce more than those who are not as able. However, under Marx’s Communism all will be able to take equal amounts from the community trough-regardless of their contributions. Suffice it to say, those who are actually productive are not big advocates of Communism. Side Note: Black Liberation Theology-as taught by Barack Obama’s over 20-year mentor Jeremiah Wright-has its roots in Marxist philosophy.
Communism has never worked in any country in which it has been tried. In practice, Communism-the ultimate goal of liberalism-affords everything to and for the power elite and little to nothing for everyone else. It also does away with the concept of meritocracy-unless of course one is a member of the aforementioned power elite. However, more and more this is what Democrat presidential candidate and Senator Barack Obama seems to be proposing.

We already have the set-up for a USA-Communist government in place. The Democrats-via their organizations Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae and ACORN (to be fair to other Democrats ACORN is actually almost solely Obama’s group)-have pretty much brought the world’s financial institutions and its people to their knees and on their way to complete destruction. Similar to what Hugo Chavez has done to Venezuela, Democrats are first going for nationalization of financial institutions, which will be followed by Democrat’s takeover of other industries. Does anyone out there still remember California Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters’ threat to take over US oil companies?

I agree with happytime79. Between my husband and I we give about 15% of our income to charity…love doing it, enjoy it. We are a family of 5 and make about $60,000. I’d like to see Obama and Biden give 15% of their WEALTH. Sad news PUMAs about a neighbor and foreclosure.
A neighbor of mine killed himself. He was struggling to keep up with his house payments as his income slowed down. He was making w/drawls on his 401k to pay his mortgage. Then wall st. crashed and he lost most of what he had. When he called his mortgage holder to advise he did not have the money for Oct. The reply was, payment or we foreclose in 6-8weeks. So sadly he took a gun to his head. He left behind a wife and two sons in college. His wife said it was too much, no work, no real income, no relief from the bank, and not enough income to even rent a place. All his money was now tied up in his house. He must of snapped. This is so sad and so chilling.*********

A friend of ours in his 50s is in construction, when he called his equipment lien holder to advise he would be late w/sept payment due to construction slow down. They came two weeks later and took his equipment when he was out (trying to drum up business). He had no warning and wasnt even 30days late.

My friends boss cant afford his mortgage anymore (due to slow down). He has his house on the market, at a low ball price, has a buyer w/an approved loan. But is behind on the mortgage, his bank will not work with him. They will not allow him to sell his house, he has about 150K worth of equity, they are taking it all. Regarding protests – the experienced Republicans here won’t put stickers on their cars because they have had their cars damaged. They put up signs but they are defaced or removed within a day or two. They won’t decorate a van with McCain signs and park in shopping centers for fear of violence against them. I have found a small group of ‘younger’ people who will pass out flyers, drive around town with their vans loaded up with posters, but a protest? Even the state chair for McCain has cautioned volunteers about violence. A McCain supporter was attacked and hospitalized in N.M. recently. All McCain offices have 24 hour security. What a mess! This is not the country I grew up in, not the country we want going forward. But … I will see what I can do about getting a flyer to the SW PUMA and rallying some people and organize the few people I do know to do some work here.

So, I was just read the riot act, for defending PUMA, from a group of friends and family.
They seemed to believe that PUMA is no longer a “nothing on top” organization. In fact they said that PUMA is advocating voting for GOP candidates across the board.
They know that I’m not sold on Barry but they grilled me about PUMA. When I stopped blogging a month-or-so ago; there was a strong nothing on top mantra. Is that the same tactic???
I realized that I was defending PUMA from a month ago and I had no idea what the present stance is.

Another thing: I talked with a long time Republican lady the other day. She went to the New Mexican paper and talked with the opinion editor and asked why they would endorse the Dem. candidate for Congress when there are still so many questions about his education claims. FYI- Ben Ray Lujan Jr. is son of Speaker of the House / State Legislature, so has a powerful Dem machine behind him. He dropped out of H.S., got a GED, was ‘elected’ to PRC and just before he announced that he is running for Congress, obtained a degree from Highlands Univ – which has strong ties to the Dem machine here. Anyway, the opinion editor told this lady that he had a lot of questions also about Lujan Jr but he was told to write the endorsement. That’s the New Mexican! So I agree that blogging, etc. is OK – but it really does take more than that.
I’m listening to FoxNews regarding Obama texting his messages to his supporters. I haven’t heard the McCain campaign using hi-tech to reach out to their supporters. He has to do the same to stay competitive. The McCain/Palin yard signs have gone up in our neighborhood. My subdivision has more independent voters than the other two parties and I have been able to convert 20 families in the last 7 days. Have about 40 more families to go. They are leaning to the middle which will make it easier for me to make my case. Many of them do not want to publicly acknowledge leaning toward McCain for fear of intimidation from their Obama’s friends. I’m really getting tired of people being afraid to speak up and voice their opinion. Many of them share the sentiments by some of you about Obama’s enormous spending on ads and TV time to win the presidency. It seems the Democrats are proposing some more spending on top of the 700 billion dollars bail-out. Where are we getting the money to pay for this? Getting our country deeper in debt is not the smart way to do.

The group’s dirty laundry will be aired at a board meeting today in New Orleans as its national board debates the merits of a lawsuit filed against Acorn by two of its own board members.
Karen Inman and Marcel Reid are the Acorn directors demanding that audits and other financial records of Acorn be turned over to them so they can complete an internal management review. They claim the records will show the organization is rife with financial irregularities created during the 38-year leadership of Wade Rathke, its founder.
Mr. Rathke left Acorn earlier this year after it was revealed his brother Dale had embezzled some $1 million from the group and that Mr. Rathke had concealed that scandal from his own board for eight years.
But Ms. Inman says the lawsuit is about far more than gaining access to financial records. She held a news conference yesterday and expressed concern that Wade Rathke continues to run Acorn from behind the scenes even though Acorn’s board voted over the summer to sever all ties with him.
The internal divisions inside Acorn have led several organizers to form a dissident group called Speaking Truth To Power. The dissidents called on Barack Obama this week to support their efforts at reforming the organization. HEMPSTEAD. N.Y. — “We are going to cut taxes for 95 percent of Americans,” Barack Obama’s campaign manager, David Plouffe, said in the spin room here at Hofstra University following the final debate of the 2008 presidential election.
Plouffe was repeating one of the boldest claims made by the Obama campaign. It’s a claim that the Wall Street Journal editorial board dubbed “Obama’s 95% Illusion,” noting that more than a third of Americans don’t pay any income taxes, and that what Obama’s plan does do is offer a raft of subsidies and government payments to individuals and families that he redefines as “tax cuts.” His proposal looks more like a redistribution scheme than an honest effort to reduce taxes — as he revealed on Monday when he told a now famous Ohio plumber that his plan aimed to “spread the wealth around.”
So when Plouffe reiterated the 95 percent claim, I asked him a simple question aimed at clarifying whether Obama’s tax plan was about cutting rates, or merely handing out government checks. “What rates would actually go down”? I asked.
“Middle class people are going to see, systemically, their taxes reduced, and small businesses,” Plouffe responded.
“But what rate would go down for lower-income Americans?” I persisted, seeking more information.
“We’ll have to get you the exact details on that,” Obama’s campaign manager told me.
I followed up, recapping the claim he had just made moments ago: “Well, you said that there’s going to be a tax cut on 95 percent, so what rate would go down?”
He replied, “I’ll have to get you the exact rate differential.”
Given that he wasn’t clear on the actual rate changes involved, I asked, “but which type of tax would go down?”
He insisted that under Obama’s plan, income taxes would be lower, as well as capital gains taxes on start up businesses and small entrepreneurs (though the capital gains tax would otherwise increase).
SHORTLY AFTER my exchange with Plouffe, I was listening to David Axelrod, Obama’s senior strategist, and I decided to put the question to him slightly differently: “Let’s say you’re making $50,000 a year,” I posited. “What taxes would you see go lower under the Obama plan?”
Axelrod replied, “You would get a $500 cut in your taxes. If you’re a couple, $1,000.”
I queried as to whether that money would come in the form of a check, or a lower rate. “You would see a reduction in your taxes, in the taxes that you pay,” he insisted. After further questioning, he added, “The mechanism for it has to do with deferring part of the withholding taxes, but you should talk to our budget folks on that.”
Later in the evening, Brian Deese, an Obama economics adviser, emailed me the following information, at Plouffe’s request:
OVERALL IMPACT OF OBAMA TAX PLAN:
- The Obama plan would reduce income tax rates for a typical family of four the lowest level in more than 50 years (4.32%). [Tax Policy Center]
- Obama’s plan will cut taxes as a share of the economy to 18.2% — below the level that prevailed under Ronald Reagan. [Tax Policy Center 9/12/08]
I could not find a reference to the first statistic after viewing the study cited by Deese. In its analysis, the Tax Policy Center (a venture of the left-leaning Brookings Institution and Urban Institute), sides with the Obama campaign by categorizing as “tax cuts” government payments such as the $1,000 to couples, $4,000 for college tuition, and 10% payment to offset mortgage interest expenses. But the study does not repeat the Obama campaign’s 95 percent claim. (In a late night email, I raised these points with Deese, and also asked him to explain the criteria under which the campaign arrived at the 95 percent number, but did not hear back as of this writing.)
In fairness, politicians long ago began to use the tax code as a tool for crafting social policy rather than merely as a way to raise revenue. Republicans and Democrats alike have abused terms such as “tax credit” and “tax rebate” to make their policy goals more palatable. But Obama is getting away with defining tax cuts so broadly, that future candidates will simply claim any form of increased government spending as a tax cut. Under Obama’s logic, higher food stamp allowances and expanded state funding of the arts could be dubbed “food tax credit” and “arts tax credit” respectively, and also qualify.
If Barack Obama can effectively claim that his plan cuts taxes on 95 percent of Americans, then the term “tax cut” has no meaning.

Kudos to everyone here who has kept the faith – it’s been really hard, I know, for me to find out that my friends have only been my friends because I was, and I emphasize was a Democrat.
Thinking about it – and believe me I have thought about it – do they see something I don’t? I wonder if they are even looking with open eyes or are just “yellow dogs” following the party line. I find I can no longer respect my “friends” who remain Democrats. How can they possibly condone what has been going on – for God’s sake if Mother Theresa was alive and backed McCain/Palin they’d go after her too.
I have realized I am now a women without a party – thank God for the Pumas and the courage and fortitude displayed by all you wonderful people – there’s more at stake here than a couple of friends – this election is no joke.

Note that the fraud occurred in the Democratic Primaries– but so far all we know is that legislative races were effected. The presidential voting occurred on a different day.

I have been telling people for months that Obama does not give one iota about them. Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Brazile, Kennedy all have their own agenda. They will not stop until they have destroyed this country. Never in my wildest dreams could I ever have imagined such an election in the United States. I always thought these things took place in third world countries, not the USA. I’m so sorry to hear that. For what it’s worth, my next-door-neighbor lost his house, too. Lost his job then couldn’t keep up w/the house payments. The upside is he & his family moved to another town about an hour away & he got a new job there, the sad part is his house has been on the market…for about 5 months now…can’t imagine what they’re going thru in their new location (bankruptcy? I don’t know)…

Final comment for now (& I know you will all agree), I honestly was aghast at some of the things Obama said last night at the Charity function which he thought were humorous. His stuff fell so flat (my opinion), even my 17-year old daughter was dumbfounded.
Maybe the upside to it is hoping a few eyes were opened to what kind of man this is who says he wants to lead our fair country on to better footing & out of crisis.

I have received this very same anti-Palin viral-email from various sources, particularly in the first 2 or 3 weeks after Sarah was picked. I’ve also received other versions of this email, some more succinct with the points against her listed. AND I have received similar anti-McCain viral-emails as well.
In the past, I’ve been involved in various politically-oriented groups, and also I have many friends and contacts throughout the USA… which is probably why I’m such a target… but some of these viral-emails have come from unknown sources!
– The anti-Palin/Mac viral-emails I’ve gotten all tend to use those alarmist and outrage-&-fear-mongering words. NOTE:
“We are writing to you because of the fury and dread we have felt since the announcement of Sarah Palin as the Vice-Presidential candidate for the Republican Party. We believe that this terrible decision has surpassed mere partisanship, and that it is a dangerous farce on the part of a pandering and rudderless Presidential candidate…”

– Then they list things against Sarah… and many of these points are just plain falsehoods. NOTE:

Just to let you folks know, I got quite a few emails in the last few days from people who have been furiously working to distribute flyers. Quite a few said they don’t blog because they can’t relate to some of the chatter going on this blog. They feel that they are being more productive distributing flyers, talking to folks and are very proud and encouraged at the results.

A couple of good movies to watch – Swing Kids – about young people in Germany as Hitler was taking over. Some went along with Hitlers youth troops, some fought. Very inspirational. Cinderella Man – down – really far down – during the Depression, but always believed in himself, in America. I can’t remember who said this but it is a favorite quote – Courage is not the absence of fear but it is taking action despite of fear… or something like that. Osaka Puma – I am taking your words to heart and going to stir up the traditionalists out there who reject the progressive / socialist agenda of Obama and want to preserve what has made this country great.
And regarding the talk of suicide, as someone who has had a loved one end his life, it is far worse on the family and friends after such an event, harder than anything to deal with. In America, there is always hope, there is always a way out.

Back to reality. What I want to know is why aren’t Mc Cain and Palin speaking out more about the personal attacks on Joe the Plumber? In an Obama administration, one isn’t allowed to voice disagreement with any Obama policy. People lose their freedom of speech. They are even threatening Fox and talk radio. The Governor of Missouri made a proclamation last month accusing Obama of illegally suppressing freedom of speech. Since before this country gained its independence, people have spoken out to voice disagreement with the government. This is a basic right included in the Bill of Rights.
We ought to all be discussing this in political blogs, calling the RNC and calling the local state Mc Cain campaign offices to speak out to get Mc Cain’s and the media’s attention. This is almost as big of an issue as the economy in my opinion. If we value retaining our basic freedoms, please start speaking out about this.

It’s great to be here in Miami. Florida is a must-win state on November 4th, and with your help, we’re going to win Florida, and bring change to Washington, DC. We had a good debate this week. You may have noticed– there was a lot of talk about Senator Obama’s tax increases and Joe the Plumber. Last weekend, Senator Obama showed up in Joe’s driveway to ask for his vote, and Joe asked Senator Obama a tough question. I’m glad he did; I think Senator Obama could use a few more tough questions.
The response from Senator Obama and his campaign yesterday was to attack Joe. People are digging through his personal life and he has TV crews camped out in front of his house. He didn’t ask for Senator Obama to come to his house. He wasn’t recruited or prompted by our campaign. He just asked a question. And Americans ought to be able to ask Senator Obama tough questions without being smeared and targeted with political attacks.
The question Joe asked about our economy is important, because Senator Obama’s plan would raise taxes on small businesses that employ 16 million Americans. Senator Obama’s plan will kill those jobs at just the time when we need to be creating more jobs. My plan will create jobs, and that’s what America needs.
Senator Obama says that he wanted to spread your wealth around. When politicians talk about taking your money and spreading it around, you’d better hold onto your wallet. Senator Obama claims that wants to give a tax break to the middle class, but not only did he vote for higher taxes on the middle class in the Senate, his plan gives away your tax dollars to those who don’t pay taxes.
That’s not a tax cut, that’s welfare. America didn’t become the greatest nation on earth by redistributing wealth; we became the greatest nation by creating new wealth.
This is the choice that we face. These are hard times. Our economy is in crisis. Americans are fighting in two wars. We face many enemies in this dangerous world, and many challenges here at home.
The next President won’t have time to get used to the office. He won’t have the luxury of studying up on the issues before he acts. He will have to act immediately. And to do that, he will need experience, courage, judgment and a bold plan of action to take this country in a new direction. We cannot spend the next four years as we have spent much of the last eight: waiting for our luck to change. We have to act immediately. I said it at the last debate: I’m not George Bush; if Senator Obama wants to run against George Bush, he should have run for President 4 years ago. We need a new direction now. We have to fight for it. I’ve been fighting for this country since I was seventeen years old, and I have the scars to prove it. If I’m elected President, I will fight to take America in a new direction from my first day in office until my last. I’m not afraid of the fight, I’m ready for it.
I’m not going to spend $700 billion dollars of your money just bailing out the Wall Street bankers and brokers who got us into this mess. I’m going to make sure we take care of the people who were devastated by the excesses of Wall Street and Washington. I’m going to spend a lot of that money to bring relief to you, and I’m not going to wait sixty days to start doing it.
I have a plan to protect the value of your home and get it rising again by buying up bad mortgages and refinancing them so if your neighbor defaults he doesn’t bring down the value of your house with him.
I have a plan to let retirees and people nearing retirement keep their money in their retirement accounts longer so they can rebuild their savings. I will protect Social Security so that retirees get the benefits they have earned, and I will bring both parties together to fix Social Security so that it is there for future generations.
I have a plan to hold the line on taxes and cut them to make America more competitive and create jobs here at home.
Raising taxes makes a bad economy much worse. Keeping taxes low creates jobs, keeps money in your hands and strengthens our economy.
The explosion of government spending over the last eight years has put us deeper in debt to foreign countries that don’t have our best interests at heart. It weakened the dollar and made everything you buy more expensive.
If I’m elected President, I won’t spend nearly a trillion dollars more of your money, on top of the $700 billion we just gave the Treasury Secretary, as Senator Obama proposes. Because he can’t do that without raising your taxes or digging us further into debt. I’m going to make government live on a budget just like you do.
I will freeze government spending on all but the most important programs like defense, veterans care, Social Security and health care until we scrub every single government program and get rid of the ones that aren’t working for the American people. And I will veto every single pork barrel bill Congresses passes.
If I’m elected President, I won’t fine small businesses and families with children, as Senator Obama proposes, to force them into a new huge government run health care program, while he keeps the cost of the fine a secret until he hits you with it. I will bring down the skyrocketing cost of health care with competition and choice to lower your premiums, and make it more available to more Americans. I’ll make sure you can keep the same health plan if you change jobs or leave a job to stay home.
I will provide every single American family with a $5000 refundable tax credit to help them purchase insurance. Workers who already have health care insurance from their employers will keep it and have more money to cover costs. Workers who don’t have health insurance can use it to find a policy anywhere in this country to meet their basic needs.
If I’m elected President, I won’t raise taxes on small businesses, as Senator Obama proposes, and force them to cut jobs. I will keep small business taxes where they are, help them keep their costs low, and let them spend their earnings to create more jobs.
If I’m elected President, I won’t meet unconditionally with the Castro brothers, while they keep political prisoners in jail, stifle free media and block free elections in Cuba. When I am President, we are going to pressure the Cuban government to free their people. The day is coming when Cuba will be free. I will open new markets to goods made in America and make sure our trade is free and fair. And I’ll make sure we help workers who’ve lost a job that won’t come back find a new one that won’t go away.
If I’m elected President, I won’t make it harder to sell our goods overseas and kill more jobs as Senator Obama proposes. I don’t understand why you have the need to single out the Catholic Church when it comes to suicide but for the record this is what the Catholic Church teaches about suicide and mortal sin;
First, the Church teaches that for a sin to be mortal it must fit three criteria;
1. You must do it of your own free will (being of sound mind and body).
2. You must have significant time for reflection (in other words, the sin must be “pre-meditated”. You can’t be acting in the heat of the moment.)
3. It must be grave matter. (it must be serious, i.e adultery, murder, etc)
The Catholic Catechism states,
“Grave psychological disturbances, anguish, or grave fear of hardship, suffering, or torture can diminish the responsibility of the one committing suicide” (#2282).
This qualification does not make suicide a right action in any circumstance; however, it does make us realize that the person may not be totally culpable for the action because of various circumstances or personal conditions.
Only God can read the depths of a persons soul. The Catholic Church leaves the judgment then to God alone.
The Catechism offers words of great hope:
“We should not despair of the eternal salvation of persons who have taken their own lives. By ways known to Him alone, God can provide the opportunity for salutary repentance. The Church prays for persons who have taken their own lives” (#2283)

I have posted infrequently on here, but support your efforts. You should know that I am a registered Republican, but generally vote as an Independent. I have never considered myself a political activist, but for the first time find myself engaged in an ideological “war”.
I call this a “war” because that is what this is. Call it a war against Capitalism and Socialism/Communism, a war against “Good” and “Evil”, a war between freedom and oppression. This is not about being Democrat, Republican or Independent. This is about being American, and preserving a future for our children and future generations. We must all unite and fight to not lose our basic freedoms.
I fear that Obama and the present group in Congress will destroy what is left of this country if Obama is elected. We will no longer be able to disagree with policy, exercise free speech or thought for fear of retribution. Look at the attacks on Joe the Plumber, Sara Palin and her family, and the threats of imprisonment in Missouri for speaking out against Obama.
There is no doubt Hillary was cheated and it appears that there is a coordinated effort to steal this election for Obama. We must never give up in defending our freedoms. In the strictest sense, I am not be a PUMA. However, I share your views and am am certainly your friend. Please accept my thanks for letting me post in this forum.

I listened today to McCain make a speech at a rally in Florida. This is definitely one of the best presentations I’ve heard from him. He is fired up and hitting all the points solidly and with energy. Wow!
Reminds me of how Hillary finally hit her stride late in the primaries. Pundits are saying the McCain persona seen on tv yesterday – on Letterman and at the Al Smith dinner – is the McCain people have known for years on capitol hill. They say he appears to finally be comfortable & being himself. (same thing they said when Hillary finally found her voice – although she was too late).
I heard someone on a news program this week say that no one should count McCain out because he is a fighter who will come back. Based on what I’m seeing today – that seems to be true. He was speaking directly about BO’s policies and explaining why BO is not best for the country. Perhaps McCain really does respond to being the under dog and having to fight to come from behind.
The pundits evaluating McCain’s Florida speech today are saying this is the same points that McCain was saying on Monday – so I’m hoping that perhaps he’s finally staying on his message for a change. He’s not shying away from the ACORN matter and he seems to understand that many in America are outraged at what is finally being covered by the mainstream media (things we PUMAs have been talking about for a long time).
I wrote the McCain campaign the other day to ask why when McCain hits a good note on an issue with the American people & when the media pundits are saying good things – why doesn’t McCain keep repeating that message and hitting that issue in all his speeches? To me it has seemed like he would leave a really good point after using once and try something new rather than keeping his momentum.
Looks like maybe this time McCain will stay on message. I think one of the strongest messages he has right now is the “take away” from the response BO gave to Joe the plumber.
I actually heard some younger men (in their 30′s) talking about this on my commute yesterday. The Joe the Plumber segment really caught their attention when they thought about the “share the wealth” idea of BO raising their taxes to give their dollars to others. That clearly is not something that people who aspire to self-employment or owning their own businesses want to hear. These men I overheard were clearly changing their attitude toward BO.
On another note – I can’t believe that those media pundits who have clearly demonstrated over the months that they are for BO – are today at least giving McCain his “propers” for his comedic presentation yesterday at the dinner. They say it presented another side of McCain to the public which suggested he’s a normal guy and not an old dull politician.
I am waiting to see what Colin Powell says Sunday on Meet the Press. If as the pundits are suggesting, Powell comes on to offer his support of BO – that could be significant and influential. Holding my breath…

Seems in many states, among other crazy situations, a voter can sign in to vote without having to show identification. If they are an imposter, there is no way of tracking their vote. When and if the real person shows up to vote and it is discovered that someone has already signed in under their name, the real person is given a provisional ballot, which, along with all other provisional ballots, are checked out for validity. If they check out, great. The problem is, the imposter’s vote has already been cast and there’s no way to track it.
I called my SoS office today to follow up on my communication with them earlier this month inquiring into what measures they were taking to protect against voter fraud, and ran the above scenario past them. Got a pat answer: If someone commits voter fraud, they can and will be investigated. The SoS follows the law. If you want to see a change in the law, contact your elected officials. Etc.
I asked why on earth ID is not required to vote. Answer: It disenfranchises voters.
I asked, who doesn’t have some kind of ID? Answer: Well, good question, but we’re always trying to balance protections against how to make the system as accessible to as many people as possible.
I asked, but if ID is required to register, why the sudden concern now about folks who may not have ID? Answer: Contact your elected officials if you want changes in voter laws.

I try to avoid these types of editorials as they are destructive to one’s mental health. This guy assumes that everyone is selfish and only thinks about their self. No one feels good about the economy or their 401k balance. However, people who buy-in to the message that Mc Cain =Bush will be sorry if Obama is elected. As T. Boone Pickens stated last night, he would not increase taxes on anyone in this economy if he were President. To do so would drive the US into a deep Depression. Obama’s answer to everything is increased Government spending, funded by taxing corporations, small businesses and the wealthy. The result will be higher prices passed on to consumers, layoffs and corporations relocating business operations overseas.
As we have seen we live in a global economy. Why would corporations be willing to fork over all these taxes without either passing on costs or relocating overseas where there are lower tax rates? Obama will destroy this country if elected, and we will all end up dependent upon the Government for a meager poverty-stricken existence.

In our local newspaper today ( Indiana) this lady had her McCain/Palin yard signs stolen so she drove down the Hwy. and all the McCain/Palin signs were gone. She went to the Republican Party Headquarters in town and was told that there had been some people that didn’t just get theirs stolen, they burned theirs in their yards and caught their yards on fire! She said this is why we don’t want these people running our country.

I’m happy to answer your question about burials because there’s a lot of misunderstandings about what the current teachings are.
In the past, people who committed suicide were often denied a Church funeral (burial). However, that practice was discarded many years ago. I have personal experience with this, in 1975 my 15 yr. old cousin commited suicide. We had her Mass in the Catholic Church and she was buried in the cemetery.
The Church has always offered Masses for those who committed suicide but a burial wasn’t always allowed. This practice wasn’t based on a judgment of the deceased’s soul as far as whether the person was going to heaven or not. The burial on sacred ground was denied in order to avoid giving scandal to the faithful and to emphasize the grave nature of suicide.
This is no longer the case, like I said earlier, today the Church better understands the psychological issues that may influence a suicide and thus mitigate personal culpability. This being the case, those who take their life are now provided funerals in the Church, ie. burials.
According to Canon Law, the only people that the Catholic Church denies funeral rites to are the following, (unless they gave some signs of repentance before death):
• notorious apostates, heretics, and schismatics;
• those who chose the cremation of their bodies for reasons contrary to Christian faith;
• other manifest sinners to whom a Church funeral could not be granted without public scandal to the faithful (cf. Canon 1184.1.1–3).

Well, I have a sticker that says, “NO TO CHANGE” and its RED COLOR. I put that sticker on the person’s bumper. Damn! I feel good doing that.
I’ve talked to a salesgirl working at Walmart, she told me sales are down, employees are all worried if NObama increase taxes of companies like Walmart they’ll lose their job.

I have been hearing about ACORN and its associstion to OBAMA and I was thinking…..in the primaries, how many fraudulent votes were there? Remember how he pushed that early voting? REMEMBER?? What if that is the way he beat HILLARY? I cant help but think about that. I know that perhaps some of the PUMAS now may have been swayed by being told that we should stick with the party. The party screwed HILLARY and us. Shouldnt there be some king of investigation into that?
