We Can Do It!

Twenty days left in this nightmare campaign, Folks. Between today and November 4th things are apt to get heated and tense. We’ve all had enough. Enough of the pandering, the lying, the insults, the denial of reality, the indifference of the media and our leaders, the Palin porn, the sexist onslaught, and enough of Barack Obama. Why isn’t he back in Chicago already, where he belongs? I believe the country is well and truly sick of him.

Obama is an empty suit in love with the sound of his own voice and the shape of his own naive ideas. As Riverdaughter said this morning, Obama has permanently sidelined Hillary Clinton’s political career. She will likely not seek national office again, and the ONLY reason is that he willfully and viciously kneecapped her during the primaries. McCain did the right thing last night in confronting Obama about the sexist and racist attacks on him, Sarah Palin, and even Hillary Clinton. I won’t hold my breath waiting to see if the MSM addresses the issue, but it was a good and honorable thing for McCain to do. Obama, of course, sputtered and muttered a response that made him look more guilty and smug than ever.

McCain is wrong on health care, but who cares? The treasury is empty — the country is broke and feels broken. There will be no will and no wherewithal to adequately address the health care mess this time around. And Obama is wrong about everything. Because he’s a liar and a panderer. His platform looks pretty good on paper, but that’s all it is — paper. His tax cuts are actually tax credits, an important difference, but he assumes we’re all idiots and won’t know the difference. He has NO plan for education reform (maybe he’ll hire Bill Ayers to run the public schools even deeper into the ground). And his foreign policy is an incoherent shambles of nice ideas and lofty ideals. Spare me.

The Obama Movement is in love with its own image of itself — as youthful, hopeful, shiny, and new. They remind me of the young Bernie and Bill — privileged, pampered, petulant babies, over-educated and underinformed.

Meet the new brats. Same as the old brats.

Meanwhile, like Jo up there (the 21st Century reincarnation of Rosie), it’s our job to do the WORK now, just like always. We have 20 days to do everything we can to keep the King of the Brats out of the White House.

We can do it!

Here are some ways:

1. Order flyers from Freddie Brown. This latest batch of 20,000 will mean over SIXTY THOUSAND Puma flyers will have been distributed all across the country — in restaurants, malls, Home Depots ;-) and parking lots. That’s a lotta flyers! Just send your name and address to fred08puma@gmail.com and you’ll receive 100 full-color flyers in your mailbox in a matter of days!

2. Call Jennifer Brunner and tell her to STOP ACTING LIKE KATHERINE HARRIS! We’re Democrats damnit — we believe in FAIR elections. Call today and demand that she abandon her appeal to NOT VERIFY the new voter registrations. What on earth is she thinking?Contact info: email; questions@jenniferbrunner.com

phone; (614) 255-4255, fax; (614) 488-4327
3. Help Heidi Li get the Denver Group’s new ad on TV during the World Series. Every little bit helps — please contribute if you can HERE. Oh, and read Heidi’s take on Obama’s commitment to a woman’s right to privacy HERE — it’s excellent.
4. Be wonderful to each other. I’m serious. We are ALL on our last nerve here and are feeling tetchy and tense. Be gentle and kind to each other — don’t nitpick, needle, or whine. Let’s keep our backs down and our feathers unruffled. We really are all in this together. We don’t all think exactly the same way about everything. That is our STRENGTH. But it is a vulnerable strength, one that can be damaged by harshness and unfriendliness. The MOST important thing we can do in the next three weeks is to stay United and Active as FRIENDS.
5. Order flyers from Freddie Brown. send an email to fred08puma@gmail.com with your name and street address. (Did I mention this already?)

Good morning, Murphy, outstanding picture and post!!

Here is a post so nice, I sent it twice:

#393 mick

Tide is indeed turning, and I agree that Nobama’s mouthpiece, Stephanie Cutter’s, angry (and very revealing) eyes on TV this morning show that NObama has been wounded by the ACORN and Ayers connections.

Anecdotal evidence from my list of wacky friends:

Gay, Hispanic, former Broadway set designer, voting McCain (first Republican vote of his life).

Major NYC Apartment Building Developer reports that he and his entire Jewish family are voting McCain (first Republican votes of their lives).

Six CT-based Limousine Liberals, turned off after receiving “heavy-handed” pressure at a NObama Cocktail Party fund raiser. All voting McCain. One individual actually cancelled his Obama ‘08 check and is telling anyone who will listen to him.

My very smart niece reports that Nobama is “perceived to be arrogant, smug and condescending” by all of her friends at the University of Miami. Her entire group is pro-McCain and they LOVE Sarah Palin!

Don’t look back, Obots, the ‘ones you weren’t expecting’ are gaining on you!!!

Ohio elections chief appeals court ruling
By Associated Press

POSTED: 08:58 a.m. EDT, Oct 16, 2008

COLUMBUS: Ohio’s top elections chief has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene in a dispute over whether the state is required to do more to help counties verify voter eligibility, a spokesman for her office said Thursday.

Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, a Democrat, filed an appeal the high court late Wednesday, said spokesman Jeff Ortega.

On Tuesday, the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati sided with the Ohio Republican Party and ordered Brunner to set up a system that provides names of newly registered voters whose driver’s license numbers or Social Security numbers don’t match records in other government databases.

The GOP contends the information for counties will help prevent fraud.

At least 200,000 newly registered voters have mismatched data, according to an initial review by Brunner’s office.

Good PUMAS

Murphy, my state is full of radicals, but last night when I was with a group watching the debate, a guy said to me his own sister who is a Democrat will be voting for GOP (McCain) for the first time in her life, she’s in her 20s. As I’ve been distributing flyers, what the media is saying and what the people says are the exact opposite.

NObama scares the hell out of the American people, they do NOT trust him. For the American people, character, integrity, honesty and associations is very important; it tells them what kind of leader you would be, it tells them your sense of judgement.

Would you board an airplane when you know the pilot is not certified to fly solo? Experience do matter for electing a President.

Majority of the American people are not voicing out their opposition against NObama, they stay quiet and observe while MSM are all over the wave making their own conjecture.

Senator John McCain will be our next President!

Okay, just had a acorn person at my door, begging my husband to register (and we have a Mc sign in the yard). He will get .50, I was pissed. But my husband just sent him away and told him w/whats going on in the news. He might find himself in trouble. Poor guy had NO idea what is going on in the news. But went on to my next door neighbors house.

Also yesterday I posted an email I had received from some pro-bo group. Wanting a room or couch for the Bo-workers coming into town. I would tell you what I told them but Murphy might ban me.

I know there has been a lot of talk about ‘why’ Hillary is doing what she is doing. From me too, its frustrating. BUT I have to ask still, what are the republicans doing?!
The locals here are getting very angry, very angry. I am in a pretty liberal town in NC (wanted to add that). As more BO bumper stickers appear the madder the Mc supporters are gettting. They becoming more verbal, huge ‘socialist’ signs about Bo going up at intersections, and some about being a terriost. So I ask again, where are the republicans? The ones in office and why are they so quiet?

Please everyone, give our Hillary a break. In interviews & on the stump, when she talks about O, she’s rarely genuinely smiling. Her body language tells it all, when she saying affirmative things about O, she hunches a little and I see her slightly shaking her head ‘no’.

Why is she stumping for O? Look at what the Dems did to Leiberman, they hung him out to dry, pulled DNC financing from his campaign, put another Dem up for the seat- forcing him to run as an Independent, etc. If she’s gonna stay in the game she has to play the game. She needs DNCs help with her re-election campaign, and paying off her debt.

John McCain’s Pension and Family Security Plan

This week, John McCain Outlined His Pension And Family Security Plan To Address The Ongoing Economic Crisis. The Pension and Family Security Plan will help those who are currently hurting the most including workers, homeowners and seniors.

The Pension And Family Security Plan Builds On The American Homeownership Resurgence Plan John McCain Outlined Last Week. The American Homeownership Resurgence Plan uses $300 billion of the $700 billion package recently passed by Congress to keep Americans in their homes, stop declining housing values and stabilize financial markets. Learn more about the Plan here: http://www.johnmccain.com
As He Works To Address The Financial Crisis, John McCain Will Implement His “Jobs For America” Economic Plan To Strengthen And Expand Our Economy. Learn more about the Plan here: http://www.johnmccain.com/Issues/jobsforamerica/
Elements Of The Pension And Family Security Plan:

SENIORS: Lower Taxes On Seniors Tapping Their Retirement Accounts. (10% tax rate in 2009-2010 for up to $50,000 withdrawal)
SENIORS: Suspend Tax Rules That Force Seniors To Sell Their Stocks In The Midst Of This Financial Crisis. (Waive mandatory withdrawals for 70 1/2 year olds)
SAVERS: Accelerate The Tax Write-Off For Those Who Must Sell At A Loss In The Current Market. (Increase amount of capital losses in 2009-2010)
SAVERS: Reduce Capital Gains Taxes For 2009 And 2010 To Raise The Incentive To Save And Invest. (Reduce maximum rate on long term capital gains to 7.5% in 2009-2010)
HOMEOWNERS: Purchase Mortgages Directly From Homeowners And Mortgage Servicers, And Replace Them With Manageable, Fixed-Rate Mortgages.
WORKERS: Eliminate Taxes On Unemployment Benefits in 2009 and 2010.
Click here for the complete archive of Weekly Talking Points.

This Week’s Note From Jo Ann:

The top issue on the minds of many voters is what the financial crisis means to their retirement accounts, their mortgages and savings in the future. Yesterday John McCain announced initiatives to help offset these concerns. McCain is also recommending that taxes on unemployment benefits be suspended for the next two years.

Without question the economy is the top issue. We must share what John McCain is doing to address these legitimate concerns. Increasing taxes is not the answer. Not exploring every way to make us less dependent on foreign oil is not the answer. Giving government more control of our health care decisions is not the answer. Denying small businesses the ability to export their products is not the answer.

Electing John McCain and Sarah Palin is the right answer to deal with the economy.

Thanks for your help!

Contact the White House and ask them why someone has anti-american associates, involved with sweetheart deals, etc. can possibly be qualified to run as President!! No one knows where BHO was born, no one knows if he eligible to run for President, no one knows if he really graduated from college, his Kenya contacts, etc.

I’m sure if enough FAXES go through it will get to the right organization. I’ve called over 15 numbers this a.m. and never got an answer.

#49 Henerietta on 10.16.08 at 11:19 am

I want to discuss health care proposals. Murphy you are right, health care reform is probably dead this go around. But let us get to the heart of the matter.

The EXECUTIVE branch does not pass legislation. They might PROPOSE it, but both houses of CONGRESS have to write and pass the bills. That includes regulations for banks, the national budget, and Health Care initatives. The EXECUTIVE branch acts on the proposals the Congress sends it.

Both Obama and McCain are way in the wrong about health care reform. The people in Congress know this about both of them. When they say ‘my health care plan’ does this or that, what they really mean is ‘If I am elected president, I will PROPOSE this or that regards to health care.’ There is a world of difference.

If the democratically controlled congress wants to send a President McCain a health care reform bill, he can either sign it or veto it. If he vetoes it, then they can override that veto by a 2/3 majority of both houses.

So if any Obamaite tells you that there would be no health care reform under McCain, ask them why don’t you place the blame where it belongs: On Congress!

I am not a legal eagle, but……
From what I know, yes, the Supremes can reject the request of the Obama campaign, OR they can issue a ruling that agrees with the lower court. This may open the way for the Supremes to get involved in the election. Obama and his people are taking a huge gamble in trying to involve the court. Since the court is heavy on conservatives, Obama is surely not thinking he can persuade them to let him steal the election. But then again, W did it, so why not a socialist lefty?

The next move by the people protesting ACORN would be to petition the Supremes themselves to order the election process halted until such time as ACORN procured registrations are all stricken from the books.

#55 mick,

I read their article before I made my post. Here is are excerpts of the African Press Int’l article today:

“Although we are not hiding anything, we would like to release all the information in the right way in order to avoid misunderstandings that may put us into problems with the Obama’s. We do not want to land into legal disputes with anyone.”

The Obama campaign spokesperson(s) should not be quick to dismis the story as false. They should wait until they get all the facts on the table before making any conclussions. They should not think they control all calls Mrs Obama makes.

The timing of the interview should not be faulted on us. It was Mrs Obama who contacted us after someone took the initiative from Nairobi to connect API and her.

API requests all?readers to be patient. They will get all the facts very soon, now that we have realised the importance of the story to them.”

Question: Then what do they mean “land into legal disputes with anyone? Then how is the Obama campaign threatening them not to release the audio tape?

Could it be because Obama has said he’s going to help third world countries monetarily, if elected?

Murphy- Love your new Rosie above but gotta disagree with you on one thing in the post…Hillary is done running for President the way her party stands. She can’t work to tear it apart, but we can vote out the bumbs. Maybe there isn’t enough time in 4 years to rip apart the DNC, but if we get rid of Nancy and Howie, then maybe she will have the courage to try it again if she knows she still has her base behind her. A lot can happen in 4 years, both good and bad and I for one have not written Hillary out as our President in four years unless either she or Bill’s health starts to fail.

#76 Henerietta on 10.16.08 at 11:52 am

Osaka Puma:

I view this as the year we either save our democracy or allow the socialist-marcist wing of the party to take over and destroy it.

Way too many people think we HAVE to purge anything Bush out of our system. They think ANY person running on the Democratic label is the one who can do it. They are wrong. BUT Bush is largely to blame for this attitude, and Obama has fed them a line to reinforce their thinking.

Bush has done some fascist style governing. The Patriot act along with a multitude of executive orders and the FISA bill have given the government more power and potential power to control private individuals that we have ever thought possible.

Obama is very dangerous just because of these Bush accomplishments. THINK CAREFULLY ABOUT HOW A PERSON LIKE OBAMA COULD DESTROY THIS COUNTRY AND TURN IT INTO A FASCIST STATE USING THE POWERS GRANTED TO THE PRESIDENT BY THE PATRIOT ACT AND THIS OTHER LEGISLATION AND BUSH POLICY INITATIVES!

So, Bush set the table, and Obama will feast if elected.

#13–thank you for the link. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing come out of Chris Matthews’ whiny little mouth! Could it be that he’s finally waking up from the fantasy of Obama-land?

On another note–I live in and work around Muncie, IN and I drive by the Obama campaign office every morning (trying to keep my stomach contents down as I do). Well, I drove by this morning and the sign was down and the building looked empty.

Now either someone stole the sign again (it’s happened once already) or they actually shut thier freakin’ doors!!!

That would make my day, if it’s true. Maybe the illegal contributions have slowed down from foreign countries, and they didn’t keep the rent and electric paid at the Muncie office. LOL. If they shut down though, I’m surprised because Indiana is supposed to be a swing state this year and I can’t imagine them taking any resources away from finagaling votes from every schmuck that’s blind enough to vote for him.

Brilliant post, simply BRILLIANT!

Phony Joe and That One are PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER.

You will enjoy this humorous take on the VP Debate:

If Sarah Palin had made just one of the wildly inaccurate statements smugly uttered by Sen. Joe Biden in last week’s vice presidential debate, there would have been 3-inch headlines in newspapers across America.

These weren’t insignificant errors, such as when Biden said, “Look, all you have to do is go down Union Street with me in Wilmington or go to Katie’s restaurant or walk into Home Depot with me where I spend a lot of time, and you ask anybody in there whether or not the economic and foreign policy of this administration has made them better off in the last eight years.”

It turns out that Katie’s restaurant, where Biden gets his feel for the average American, closed 20 years ago. The only evidence that he spends any time in Home Depot is that it appears that a pipe wrench fell on his head one too many times.

Palin would surely have been forced to withdraw from the ticket had she said something like that, but most of Biden’s errors were not trifling mistakes like these. They were lengthy Lyndon LaRouche-like disquisitions that were pure fantasy from beginning to end.

For example, Biden said about Hezbollah: “When we kicked — along with France — we kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon.” Hezbollah was never kicked out of Lebanon.

He continued: “I said and Barack said, ‘Move NATO forces in there. Fill the vacuum, because if you don’t, Hezbollah will control it.’” This is madness — Lebanon is not a NATO country, nor had any NATO country been attacked by Lebanon.

Somebody please tell me that Biden wasn’t picked for the Democrat ticket based on his knowledge of foreign policy.

Biden also stoutly denied that Obama ever said he would sit down with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Liberals find it hilarious that McCain can’t use a computer keyboard on account of his war injuries, but Biden is apparently unaware of the Internet, because there are clips all over the Internet of Obama saying exactly that during the CNN/YouTube debate last year.

Biden might have remembered that debate since: (1) He was there, and (2) he later attacked Obama’s answer, telling the National Press Club in August 2007: “Would I make a blanket commitment to meet unconditionally with the leaders of each of those countries within the first year I was elected president? Absolutely, positively, no.”

And that’s still not all! Obama’s own Web site says: “Obama supports tough, direct presidential diplomacy with Iran without preconditions.”

Somebody please tell me that Biden wasn’t picked for the Democrat ticket based on his ability to remember well-known facts.

Biden also gave a long speech at the debate on vice president Dick Cheney’s “dangerous” belief that “he’s part of the legislative branch.” The great constitutional scholar Biden cited Article I of the Constitution as proof that Cheney “works in the executive branch” and has “no authority relative to the Congress.” Biden huffily added: “He should understand that. Everyone should understand that.”

Palin would have had to deny that Alaska is a state in the union in order to say something comparably stupid.

Article II, not I, describes the executive branch. Someone tell Biden, who is supposed to be a lawyer. Apart from getting the Articles of the Constitution mixed up, what on earth does Biden mean when he says that the vice president “has no authority relative to Congress,” apart from breaking ties?

The Constitution makes him president of the senate every day of the week. I realize that Biden may not be able to count to two, but Article I says the vice president is president of one of the two houses of Congress — the one Biden is in, for crying out loud — which is what you might call “authority relative to Congress.”

Somebody please tell me that Biden wasn’t picked for the Democrat ticket based on his knowledge of the Constitution.

In one especially hallucinatory answer, Biden authoritatively stated: “With Afghanistan, facts matter, Gwen. … We spend more money in three weeks on combat in Iraq than we spent on the entirety of the last seven years that we have been in Afghanistan building that country.”

According to the Congressional Research Service, since 9/11, we’ve spent $172 billion in Afghanistan and $653 billion in Iraq. The most money spent in Iraq came in 2008, when we have been spending less than $3 billion a week. So by Biden’s calculations, we’ve spent only about $9 billion “on the entirety of the last seven years that we have been in Afghanistan building that country.” There isn’t even a “9″ in $172 billion.

Somebody please tell me that Biden wasn’t picked for the Democrat ticket based on his knowledge of math.

In the same answer, Biden went on to claim that “John McCain voted against a comprehensive nuclear test ban treaty that every Republican has supported.”

The last nuclear test ban treaty the Senate voted on was the one Clinton signed in the ’90s. As The New York Times editorialized on the Senate vote a few years later: “Last week, Senate Republicans thundered ‘no’ to the nuclear test ban treaty, handing the White House its biggest defeat since health care in 1994.” Forty-nine Republicans voted against the treaty; only four liberal Republicans voted for it. That’s the treaty Biden says “every Republican has supported.”

Somebody please tell me that Biden wasn’t picked for the Democrat ticket based on his ability to function as vice president.

RE: Joe Biden

I am a real estate appraiser. Appraisers have observed something called the ‘perpetual refinancer’ out there. These people refinance their homes almost yearly. Some take out interest only loans with an annual payment of JUST INTEREST. Then on that annual refinance, they either pull out equity, or refinance to pay off the interest from the year before. In essence, these people live way above their means. Real Estate inflation is their only hedge against going under financially.

My husband watched a piece on Joe Biden and his tax returns. The reporter, on CNN, said that Biden has refinanced his home 29 times in the last 20 years. He owes more than $750,000 on it, with an income that will not even come close to qualifying him for the amount the amortized payments would run. Conclusion: He is a perpetual refinancer, living way above his means.

#106 mountainsong on 10.16.08 at 12:23 pm

We can do it????????
If the deficit does reach $1 trillion this year, it would represent 7.5 percent of the gross domestic product, the highest percentage since World War II when it skyrocketed to 30 percent of GDP. “The big difference is back then we owed it to ourselves, to Americans,” says David Walker, head of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation and former US comptroller general.

Mr. Walker is part of an effort called the Fiscal Wake-Up Tour, which is traveling around the nation meeting with editorial boards and holding town-hall gatherings to explain the budget situation. Next year, the group, sponsored by the Concord Coalition, will focus on solutions.

Walker’s focus is not just the national debt, which will grow to more than $10 trillion this year. Instead, he is looking at the national debt plus all the unfunded promises such as Social Security and Medicare, which have no future tax revenues to cover them. “At the end of the last fiscal year, that came to $53 trillion or about $550,000 per household,” he says. “We may well have passed the point where the federal government’s total financial hole exceeds the net worth of all Americans.”

Walker estimates the US has about five years to show fiscal responsibility: “We will have to send a strong signal we can get our house in order.”

That’s not going to happen this fiscal year. Congress

I did my own mini survey after the debate and talked to a few (less than 10) people who also watched the debate, my finding:

• Among the undecided voters, they were disturbed the most by ACORN. The character of Obama is heavily in doubt.
• Business owners / employers tend to lean against Obama at this point.
• Obama’s health care plan still appeals to some of the lower income group.

Today Rove quoted in his WSJ article: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122411909182439021.html

I suggest from now on Pumas should focus on the Swing States that, according to Rove, will most likely GIVE MCCAIN THE WIN, and they are:

Florida
North Carolina
Virginia
Ohio
Missouri,
Colorado
Nevada.

I am also suggesting that we should spread the ACORN message to the voters in the Swing States hard by:

1) Distributing Flyers
2) Doing Targeted prowls

Like Murphy said, please order freddiebrown’s flyers at:

I agree, I would like to see more noise too. One problem is that too many Americans have become so jaded about politics that they haven’t been paying attention.

Overall I blame the MSM, not the average voter. The Liberal media hasn’t done their job. Most peeps don’t have the time to research all of these issues on the Internet like we have. We blog but the average person doesn’t and therefore they are clueless about most of this stuff. I can guarantee that nobody that I know has every heard about the Philip Berg lawsuit.

One observation: Obama is buying 30 minute time slots for informercials. This is a desperate move. People who are ahead do not spend this kind of money, and do not make this kind of desperate moves. This is a sure indication that Obama’s internal polling is telling him something different than the public polls are telling him.

One other thing…….Chris Matthews slammed the New York governor on Obama’s nonaccomplishments last night. If the news people think they are on the losing side, they start to slide the other way. Why? Because they want access to the President. If Obama loses, that would mean they have to deal with a President McCain. the hatchet job they have done on McCain, or rather, their allowing Obama supporters to have the floor to themselves, has already alienated McCain. If Matthews is making nice to McCain, then he probably knows something he isn’t telling us too.

I disagree that HIllary’s career is over. She is more powerful than ever. You have not one, but both candidates using her platform. McCain took her platform on home mortgages, and Obama borrowed her 90 day freeze idea, and more and more of her platform including Obama’s reworked Health care platform is showing up. That is a powerful reflection on Hillary’s ability. I think she will run again if McCain wins, probably not if Obama wins, since he will have 2 terms. And that is the main reason I am voting McCain, but its not the only reason. Obama is just not smart enough, experienced enough or honest enough for me. This ACORN business is really sticking in my crawl. I’ve never believed that cheaters should win, period.

As much as I respect Hillary, in my opinion, she knows his policies are worthless and that Obie is not a strong candidate and at the same time she has stood by her word to support the DEM candidate. In doing so she finds herself in a position where she has in a sense lost regardless of who wins—MC –there is a chance she might run again and face some opposition from those supporters who feel betrayed. Obie —opportunity gone—he will do eight years —his ego will not let him do less. On the other hand, wounds do heal–in four years if MC wins—Hillary will have words that support her stand today. The election will again be about who is the strongest candidate for our nation and all might be forgiven.
For now let’s move pass Hillary, lick our wounds and defeat Obie, not so much for 2012 but for the perservation of our liberty.

Officials: FBI investigates ACORN for voter fraud
WASHINGTON (AP) – The FBI is investigating whether the community activist group ACORN helped foster voter registration fraud around the nation before the presidential election.

A senior law enforcement official confirmed the investigation to The Associated Press on Thursday. A second senior law enforcement official says the FBI was looking at results of recent raids on ACORN offices in several states for any evidence of a coordinated national scam.

Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because regulatons forbid discussing ongoing investigations particularly so close to an election.

ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, says it has registered 1.3 million young people, minorities and poor and working-class voters—most of whom tend to be Democrats.

I’m with you. I don’t understand why this lawsuit is not getting more attention. I’m not sure people understand that even if Obama was born in an Hawaiian hospital, he could still be ineligable to hold the office of President.

Obama and the DNC have failed to comply with discovery. That’s huge! They could just as easily file the pertinent documents with the court and then file a Motion to Dismiss. Instead, they are hiding behind legalese and challenging Berg’s standing to file.

There was a similar case filed against McCain and the court ruled Plaintiff did not have the standing to file. However, Berg has taken an oath to uphold the Constitution. I haven’t read the other case, but I suspect that was not the true for the other party.

Hey, aloha. Yes, it is very disappointing to me that Obama, an attorney who is sworn to uphold the constitution, can’t be decent enough to produce the records that establish that the case should be dismissed.

He must not have them. If he is not eligible, what a fraud is being perpetrated on the American people. And who gave him all of his money? Is he being funded by foreign sources?

There are just too many questions about Obama’s character for him to be electable. HRC was right – the DNC did not listen. And here we are.

Biden Dishes Campaign Cash to Family Members

Wednesday, October 15, 2008 12:23 PM

By: Jim Meyers Article Font Size

Democratic vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden has paid more than $2 million in campaign funds to family members, their businesses and employers over the years, raising questions about potential conflicts of interest.

The money came from Biden’s failed presidential campaign during the past two years. The largest chunk, $1.8 million, was paid to a company that employs his sister and longtime campaign manager, Valerie Biden Owens, according to campaign disclosure filings viewed by The Washington Times.

Biden also gave campaign legal work to a lobbying and law firm co-founded by his son R. Hunter Biden, the filings reveal.

Paying family members and their companies is legal if the work is legitimate and charged at market rates, according to the Federal Election Commission. But public watchdog groups have been critical of such arrangements.

“Even though legal within restraints, it’s not something I view as completely ethical,” Craig Holman, legislative director for the campaign finance watchdog group Public Citizen, told The Times. “Any candidate ought to shy away from that.”

Biden aides say all the payments he has made to family members or their employers were legitimate, and spokesman David Wade told The Times that no Biden family members are being paid by the Obama-Biden campaign.

The $1.8 million paid to his sister’s firm, Joe Slade White & Co., was for media consulting, and much of the money went to produce and air political ads.

Other Biden campaign and political action committee expenditures over the years included more than $50,000 in salary to his sister, and more than $150,000 to Hunter Biden’s Washington lobbying firm Oldaker, Biden & Belair.

Wade asserted that none of the money went to Hunter.

Hunter and Joe Biden’s brother James were accused in two lawsuits of defrauding a former business partner and an investor of millions of dollars in a hedge fund deal that went bad, The Washington Post reported in August.

Hunter and James countered that the former partner defrauded them by misrepresenting his experience in the hedge fund industry and recommending that they hire a lawyer with felony convictions.

Hunter Biden announced in September that he had quit working as a federal lobbyist, amid concerns that his work undermined Barack Obama’s anti-lobbyist rhetoric, the Times noted.

Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington analyzed campaign filings covering the 2002, 2004 and 2006 election cycles, and its report listed Joe Biden among the top five senators in terms of salaries and fees paid to family members.

Purpose Donation
amount $20.00 USD
Total Amount: $20.00 USD

Am on my way to writing Jennifer Brunner. What’s her problem?!

What a horrible election year. Who knew there were so many over-educated and not so smart people in the media who would side with the crazy BO campaign. Maybe FOX news was right all these years! That’s a scary thought. On the plus side, the other day I saw one of my over-50 liberal colleagues wearing a BO button and I had to smile because pretty much every candidate she’s ever supported has lost. Hee hee She was a John Edwards supporter before BO. She’s just such a terrible judge of character. She thinks BO is going to solve all of America’s problems. She’s a nice lady, but a little nutty. I managed to have a conversation with her without saying anything critical about BO (while she had that dumb button on) until the very end when I mentioned something about voter fraud, but I went on to another topic quickly because she got this weird sad/shocked look on her face. I didn’t know what to make of it. I think she’s going to be devastated if BO doesn’t win. Like I said, though, she’s a terrible judge of character. She can’t see beyond her own liberal schtick. She falls in love with anyone who starts repeating the liberal ideas she already believes in. See, I think that if you believe pretty much the same things you did 20-30 years ago there might be something wrong there. If we are actually learning and growing we should reevaluate every once in a while, but some people get in that comfort zone and they just refuse to get out of it.

O.K., have a good day,

It seems like you had the keen sense about ACORN back then.

I think ACORN is Obama’s Achilles heel, and we need to exploit it by really fanning the flame here.

Maybe one of the prowls should be as you said, to go blog on prominent newspapers in order to spread the word.

Do you or anyone else know how to come up with a list of good newspapers to blog on?

I totally agree, people are afraid Obama will win so there, pulling out money, and not reinvesting it.They don’t want Obama to spread their wealth around.
Also if msnbc is praising McCain,They know something that we don’t. I fully believe that the main stream media has been fixing the polls to suit Obama. With McCains strong showing at the debate,we’ve got em on the run.

If Obama was born in Hawaii, then Berg has to establish that his step father adopted him and registered him as a citizen in Indonesia AND that by doing so, he renounced his US citizenship. Right now, all Berg has filed is Obama school registration record – no adoption papers or citizenship papers…which would be impossible to get at this point without Obama’s cooperation.

find out the name of the newspaper and you are set.

l. Get yourself a free account – I go through at least five or six newspapers at a time – so that one step is done.

2. Write your message up so all you have to do is cut and paste.

3. Then do it — I personally have blogged onto or written under special articles for all swing states but Missouri – (including New Mexico and Indiana) problem with the online newspapers – they can change daily – so its a constant routine – but how many new people have you converted that read it that first time….

…and on the lighter side of the news…
—————-
“Eduardo Varastegui Endorses John McCain”
10/15/08

CENTENNIAL, CO — Today the McCain-Palin campaign announced the endorsement of Eduardo Verastegui, one of today’s fastest rising Latino stars. Best known for his starring roles in the 2006 movie Bella and other Mexican soap operas, Verastegui was voted by People en Espaol as one of the “50 Most Beautiful People” in the world…

“John McCain is the only candidate for president that shares my values of life,” Verastegui said. “He truly recognizes that we are all God’s children. John McCain is someone we can trust to do what is right and follow through on what he says — as opposed to Barack Obama, who does not share our traditional values of defending innocent life and the sanctity of marriage. Obama has proven this time and time again. During his personal experience as a POW in Vietnam, McCain renewed and strengthened his faith. And early this year in the heat of a political battle, he had the courage to stand against his own party and support comprehensive immigration reform. His resolve serves as a reminder to us all that we must vote our values and our conscience, and not vote simply by party. We can’t afford a president who lacks experience and judgment and would stand for values that are out of step with the Hispanic community and this country. Although I seldom thrust myself into political campaigns, I recognize the stakes and that it’s most important that we put our values first and support John McCain.”

Even though I reserved a Sarah Palin ticket for the rally in Noblesville, IN tomorrow, I’m not that upset that I won’t get one now. Okay, I’m a little disappointed, but just to know that Palin is drawing a much larger crowd than BHO makes it worth it.

This is from the Indianapolis Star:

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin makes her first campaign appearance in Indiana at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Verizon Wireless Music Center in Noblesville.

Palin, running mate of Republican presidential nominee John McCain, will hold a Road to Victory rally at the music venue. Gates will open at 1 p.m.

It may be appropriate that Palin will be speaking at Verizon, as the line for the free event tickets had a decidedly rock concert vibe. Hamilton County GOP chairman Charlie White estimated more than 9,000 tickets were distributed Tuesday afternoon and early Wednesday at the party headquarters in Fishers.

Statewide, 24,000 tickets were available. All were reserved by Wednesday afternoon.

Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama drew between 10,000 and 21,000 people to an event at the Indiana State Fairgrounds last week. Keith Clock, Hamilton County Democratic Party chairman, said that while Palin may fill Verizon, he wasn’t worried she might outdraw his candidate.

If it can be proven, Obamas’ citizenship would be the ultimate nail in his campaign. The government should spend every resource to get the needed information on Obama, since the President will be the leader of the free world. Pressure should be put on African Press International to release this information. Everyone in Kenya is not aligned with Obama’s cousin. He must have many enemies willing to get the information. Since you have to be born here and be a ciizen to become President, the American people have the right to know if their leaders are legitimate. Since Obama will not provide proof of his citizenship, and is actually trying to hide the proof, there must be a reason. President Bush, as President must see through this important issue. With no proof of his citizenship, it is too close to the “Manchurian Candidate.” He could be a plant, just like the story. Just my thoughts.

McCain planted an Ayers/ACORN-seed last night

Many people in America still don’t know much about Ayers, ACORN and other disturbing BO facts & info. I have found this out in talking with others in my business travels.

Ayers and ACORN were brought up in the debate, and BO tried to give his best defense… But what will happen in many people’s mind is that most of the details (of what was said) will become fussy and what will remain is a concern about Ayers and ACORN (and questions about BO’s life-involvements in general).

Here’s where we come in to fill in the details and to counter any of BO’s explanations that some people may recall.

Now is the time to talk to or write to concerned voters… Now is the time to reach them through newspapers (Letters to the Editor & ads), TV & Web ads, etc… Now is the time to urge the media to talk more about these things… And now is the time to pass on those good videos or articles on Ayers and Acorn and other BO-info of concern to voters!

Many people want to know more… and many will surely be alarmed and swayed away from BO once they learn more!

#226 hoosiermike on 10.16.08 at 2:29 pm

The thing about the article is that the Indiana State Fairgrounds was not filled to capacity. More people could have come if they wanted to.

The Verizon Wireless Center is going to be packed at capacity tomorrow to hear the VICE PRESIDENTIAL candidate speak–more than the PRESIDENTIAL candidate of the DNC had! Eat that, O-bots!

So if the RNC issued 24,000 tickets already, that only leaves us guessing how many more people would have been there had the capacity been higher! I know I waited too long to get my tickets, so myself and the 2 people who were going to go with me would have made 24,003.

I have a good feeling about Indiana for McCain. I know we’re just one of many swing states this year, but that’s one more victory for McCain if we can keep Indiana red this election.

Here’s today’s desperate email I received from the Obanation:

I guess the 527′s mentioned must be us snarling Pumas. :)

The attacks against Barack Obama have been shocking. But Democrats are fighting back aggressively — and you can help.

The Obama campaign has developed online tools that target the most vile and baseless smears and let you spread the truth.

Whether the lies are being peddled by desperate Republican candidates or anonymous smear merchants, these attacks threaten to distract from the important issues in this race.

And on a night when John McCain has threatened to derail the debate by focusing on flimsy, preposterous claims about Barack’s character, your vigilance is needed more than ever.

Here are some ways to fight back:

FightTheSmears.com — The Obama campaign has just revamped its online smear-fighting outfit, offering powerful tools to help you spread the truth against dishonest attacks from Republicans, 527s, and bogus email chains:

http://www.fightthesmears.com

Watchdog — Forward any smear email to watchdog@barackobama.com. You’ll receive a reply with the truth and some facts for you to send to your friends and family. If we haven’t seen the smear before, you’ll help us uncover more vicious attacks before they spread further:

watchdog@barackobama.com

Fight the Smears widget — Give your community of readers the latest news and updates about vicious smears against Barack and other Democrats by posting this frequently-updated widget on your blog or home page:

http://my.barackobama.com/FTSwidget

Action Wire widget — Add our new Action Wire Widget to your site and display the latest calls to action and rapid response messages:

http://my.barackobama.com/AWwidget

As we approach Election Day, these smears will get even more shameless and destructive. We’ve seen the power of smears before and this year, its going to take all of us working together to fight back.

Spread the word about Fight the Smears, and spread the truth before Election Day by forwarding this email to everyone you know.

Keep up the good work,

DNC Rapid Response Team

Brunner’s office said Wednesday that she would comply with the lower court’s ruling. Ortega said the office would release a statement later Thursday on why she chose to file an appeal.

Brunner has called the issue a veiled attempt at disenfranchising voters and said other checks exist to help determine eligibility.

Ohio Republicans issued a statement calling the situation a shameful mess and criticized her for initially saying she would comply with the earlier court ruling.

About 666,000 Ohioans have registered to vote since January, with many doing so before the contested Democratic presidential primary election between Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton in March.

Obama Lied last night when he said he didn’t have a fundraiser at Ayers’ home and Gibbs lied when he was interviewed by Chris Matthews last night saying that Obama didn’t.

HOWEVER, last week on FOX this is was Gibbs said:

On Tuesday Gibbs was first asked if Obama knew Ayers was a terrorist at the meet-and-greet at Ayers’ home. “The answer is still [that] he didn’t,” Gibbs said. “And that’s what [David Axelrod, another spokesman] said yesterday.”

AND this is a link to a CNN video from a radio station, saying that Alice Palmer was a guest at the Ayers home, Obama and Ayers arranged this fundraiser and this was confirmed by another guest to the fundraiser for Obama at Ayers home, Dr. Quinton Young.

Also on the tape is Obama advisor Ms A. Dunne confirming Obama was at the meet and greet.

That is true. In Cameron County TX(Brownsville & Harlingen) on the border of Mexico they usually vote Rebublican for the President and Governer.

At the debate, McCain mentioned those heinous “Sarah is a C***” shirts and Obama immediately started talking over McCain. I think he was scared McCain was actually going to say it outloud, or allude to exactly what the t-shirts said. Obama knows he has a shaky relationship with women.

Come on Rezco-do the country a favor

Rezco May Give Up Obama; Fitzgerald Could Indict
Filed under: obamamania — admin @ 6:17 pm
Timothy Birdnow

Hillbuzz is reporting that Tony Rezko is about to give up Barack Obama to prosecutors, who are likely to seek indictments against him!

According to the piece:

“We need to repeat that: we never believed, until now, that Obama would go to jail for anything related to Rezko. Today, this breaking news about what Rezko is singing to the Feds about makes us reconsider all of that.

Barack Obama will serve a prison sentence in the next few years because knowing Fitzgerald, there is no reason he would be going through all of this if that was not the targeted goal in the long term.

1) Michael Sneed in her Sun Times column 10/10/08 had the following tidbit:

Sneed hears rumbles political fund-raiser/fixer Tony Rezko, who is now singing sweetly to the feds from his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, has been talking about his “dealings“ with a Chicago bank, which has political connections.

(2) We just spoke with someone well-connected in Chicago politics who told us that the bank Sneed is talking about has to be Broadway Bank, which is owned by the politically-connected Giannoulias family. We were told that Sneed’s column confirms rumblings people we know heard independently that Tony Rezko is giving up the Giannoulias family to Patrick Fitzgerald Rezko and the Giannoulias family are as close and tied together as anyone in Chicago could be. If Rezko is turning on them, then Rezko is going to give up Governor Rod Blagojevich and Obama too.

I had read that last week and posted that I don’t think Rezko would give up Obama until after the election.

If Obama is elected then Rezko will be looking for a pardon and hanging that over Obama’s head.

If Obama loses the election, he better look out. Rezko will then seek a better deal with Fitzgerald.

Obama previously, when asked by a reporter, said he would not pardon Rezko, if elected President. However, we all know Obama’s flip-flopping when it’s expedient.

ACORN and the BRADLEY EFFECT

Freddiebrown in previous posts mentioned the Bradley effect:
“…We must create a “Bradley” effect and plant seeds of doubt in everyone’s mind about Obama. Everyone here should have enough information against Obama. Hand our flyers – whatever flyers you can get your hands on. Talk, convince people – surprise yourself with the passion you never knew you had….”

#218 LandiPUMA today wrote:
“…Ayers and ACORN were brought up in the debate, and BO tried to give his best defense… But what will happen in many people’s mind is that most of the details (of what was said) will become fussy and what will remain is a concern about Ayers and ACORN (and questions about BO’s life-involvements in general).
Here’s where we come in to fill in the details and to counter any of BO’s explanations that some people may recall…”
————————————————-
I think ACORN is the perfect topic to create this Bradley effect in undecided and especially the Hillary supporters!

I understand freddiebrown has over 5,000 valid addresses to give to anyone who would prefer to contact or distribute flyers thru mailing. Just ask Freddie for the number of addresses in locations you want.

P.S: you may as well ask Freddie for the flyers at the same time!

VOTING***VOTING***VOTING***
Again sharing my two cents (for what it’s worth) in response to some of the comments about voting-

The one with the most votes gets the electoral college count-PERIOD. If you don’t cast a vote, they remain even.

I am not happy about my choices (I wasn’t 4 years ago either and I chose the less of two evils- he didn’t win)- I am again casting for the less of two evils- although I don’t really consider McCain evil- I am not in sympathy w/ most of the republican platform.

But I will be damned if I don’t do everything I am capable of doing to prevent an Obie presidency- so w/ that, I am off to phone bank for McCain

#287 gojoyknocks on 10.16.08 at 2:59 pm

Hi All… I’m back from the Gov. Palin rally. The Republicans know how to do patriotic. Lee greenwood sang the Anthem and God Bless The USA. Not a dry eye in the house. It’s for sure 6000 people know about PUMA. I wore my big personality. Passed out freddie’s flyers and talked to 2 reporters. One radio ,one print. I made sure they saw me putting my Hillary For President sticker on my McCain/Palin sign. I even framed the shot for them. Hand in the air, Puma bracelet, holding sign. I knew they would seek me out.

Just turned on Rush and heard him say something about San Francisco Chronicle (I think that’s what he said) having an article from ACORN stating that BO was wrong… that he IS connected to them? I tried looking, but couldn’t find what Rush was talking about. Can anybody else find it? That might be worth having.

By the way, my 84 year old mother went for a perm today… and came back really discouraged. She said all she heard all 3 hours there was how great BO was. All the beauticians (she said) and the clients were all just so excited about BO and were just gushing about him….

ACORN and the BRADLEY EFFECT
——
I hate to sound like a broken record…..(boy, that dates me :-) but I think PUMAs already are the Bradley effect in the polls.

I believe we are recorded as loyal Democratic votes (by 95% in the pumapac vote a couple of weeks ago that are voting for McCain).

I believe it will show the polls are off by 5-6% when all is said and done and Obie lost by that amount in the poll predictions.

If the major polls do not call PUMAs, it is not calculated into the percentages. We are not the undecided group, we are the Democratic votes for Obie in their eyes.

It’s unbelievable that professors are telling students whom they should vote for. You can ask your kids the names of these professors and can call the administration to ask that those profs stop doing that. The reason that’s wrong is that professors hold a lot of power over a student (they are giving students a grade and they are authority figures on campus). They are supposed to stay above the fray.

mountainsong & all – my 2 cents

I agree that there is a disgusting amount of voter fraud. The FBI is looking into it. Unfortunately, WE do not decide to Stop the election until they fix this mess.
THEY DO – and – They will Not. At least it is a really LOOOONNNNGG shot. Now, that being said, there are ONLY two viable candidates to choose from, Mac Or Obi. Period. If you do not vote – IT IS a vote for obi because of all these new dem registrations, false or real. So, In summation, If you stay home it is a vote alright – a vote for obi – and that my friend is what we are fighting here to make sure it DOES NOT happen.

The only way to defeat this idiot is to VOTE against him.

Just my humble opinion

Mountainsong, I agree with you about fraud and contacting our officials is great and anyone else to get the word out about Obama, but GWB scares me,he has enacted so many laws to take away all our rights and he would like nothing better than to be able to declare martial law and stay in office.
There are some of us who wont go down without a fight but there are many who dont even know how to fight, I wonder how many people would be rounded up immediately, how many would be killed and how many will still be standing when they start torturing our families? GB has got to go,and Bozo cannot get in.

Hawaii governor says nation wouldn’t be safe under Obama
ELECTION 2008:
By Megan McCloskey Echoing the theme of recent John McCain campaign ads that claim Barack Obama associates with terrorists, Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle told a small Henderson audience that in this presidential election “it’s the protection of your families that’s at stake.”

Can I ask a really stupid question? What is all this talk about martial law?

Yeah, I know he passed legislation giving himself the power to suspend elections during time of “war,” and then went out and declared war. (whata guy)… but I honestly think high level repubs and dems possibly have conspired to put bo in after bush and do it then. Yeah, kind of out there, but it would take time to put people in place to pull it off right, and they have had 8 years to do that… now, possibly they are ready. So I think if martial law happens, it will be under bo regime, not bush.

What is wrong with these people?? NEVER EVER question Obama, or we Obots will skin you alive.

Still to Come, the Third-Party Debate
By Leslie Wayne

http://thecaucus. blogs. nytimes. com/2008/10/15/still-to-come-the-third-party-debate/

If you haven’t gotten your fill of presidential debates after watching the McCain-Obama match-up this evening, mark your calendar for Sunday night.

That’s when Free and Equal. Org, a group formed to encourage third-party candidacies, is promoting a debate at the Columbia Political Union at Columbia University in New York for all six candidates seeking the presidency. The group is pretty much resigned to the fact that neither Senator John McCain nor Senator Barack Obama will be there.

But, others will show, they say. Amy Goodman, principal host of “Democracy Now!” a program of the left-leaning Pacifica radio, will host the event. C-SPAN will also be there to record it. Ms. Goodman, in a recent syndicated column, called for opening the current two-party debates, to more candidates. “It will not only make for better television,’’ said Ms. Goodman in her column, “it will make for better democracy.

Just exactly who will be there is still murky, since certified letters have just gone out to all candidates, say event organizers. Ralph Nader, who is on the ballot in 45 states as an independent candidate, has indicated he will show up. Cynthia McKinney, former member of Congress from Georgia and the Green Party candidate, will also be there, according to her website. Ms. McKinney is on the ballot in 30 states. Also invited is Chuck Baldwin, running on the Constitution Party ticket in 35 states.

Mr. Baldwin is perhaps the least known of the group. He’s an evangelical minister and hosts a conservative talk show in the Florida panhandle region. He also has gained the endorsement of Ron Paul, whose bid for the Republican nomination garnered a loyal and enthusiastic following.

The only question mark is Bob Barr, the Libertarian Party candidate. Mr. Barr has made it clear that he will only debate Mr. Nader and no one else.

Christina M. Tobin, an event organizer and a Nader campaign staffer, said that she “challenges” Mr. Barr to show up.

“Let him show that he is a true Libertarian,” said Ms. Tobin, who grew up in a prominent Libertarian family. “This is a golden opportunity to get exposure and for people to hear his views. For him not to show up would be denying his Libertarian principles.

Ms. Tobin added that if this event, which will be held at 8 p.m. is successful, her group plans to hold another one a few days later.

Breaking the Sound Barrier:
Third-Party Candidates Ralph Nader & Cynthia McKinney Respond to Final McCain-Obama Debate

Senators Barack Obama and John McCain met last night for the final debate before the November 4th presidential election, sparring over the economy, tax policy, negative campaigning, trade agreements, abortion and the educational system. As with the other debates, third-party candidates were not invited to participate. We break the sound barrier and hear from Green Party presidential nominee Cynthia McKinney and independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader.

Add the poor whites to this list. And there’s millions of them, although they get ignored.
In fact, by 2035, whites will be the minority. There will be more race/ethnicity groups of color than there will be whites.
we better hope that these groups can get successful as the whites can’t pay for everyone when this happens.

Is this who we want in the White House

In her senior thesis at Princeton, Michele Obama, the wife of Barack Obama
stated that America was a nation founded on ‘crime and hatred’.
Moreover, she stated that whites in America were ‘ineradicably racist’. The
1985 thesis, titled ‘Princeton-Educated Blacks and the Black Community’ was
written under her maiden name, Michelle LaVaughn Robinson.
Michelle Obama stated in her thesis that to ‘Whites at Princeton , it often
seems as if, to them, she will always be Black first…’ However, it was reported
by a fellow black classmate, ‘If those ‘Whites at Princeton ‘ really saw Michelle
as one who always would ‘be Black first,’ it seems that she gave them that
impression’.
Most alarming is Michele Obama’s use of the terms ‘separationist’ and
‘integrationist’ when describing the views of black people.
Mrs. Obama clearly identifies herself with a ‘separationist’ view of race.
‘By actually working with the Black lower class or within their communities as
a result of their ideologies, a separationist may better understand the desperation
of their situation and feel more hopeless about a resolution as opposed to an
integrationist who is ignorant to their plight.’
Obama writes that the path she chose by attending Princeton would likely lead to
her ‘further integration and/or assimilation into a white cultural and social structure
that will only allow me to remain on the periphery of society; never becoming a full
participant.’
Michele Obama clearly has a chip on her shoulder.
Not only does she see separate black and white societies in America , but
she elevates black over white in her world.

#410 Grizzly on 10.16.08 at 4:18 pm

I’ve been hearing a lot about the “Bradley effect” as of late, as if the Obama camp is setting up their rationle in the event of a loss.

My own view on this is that the Bradley Effect is a real phenomena, but the voters in question are not those they are assumed to be.

Look at the flack blacks supporting McCain take. They are subjected to castigation and shame for abandoning their race. Even with Hillary Clinton, those supporting Hillary were labeled as Uncle Toms or worse.

To avoid public humiliation and flogging, it is much easier to portray your public views as an Obama supporter. Since the ballot is something done in secret, one who wants to vote for McCain can do so without being labeled as a turn coat by the black community.

If there is such a thing as a Bradley effect, it is much more the result of blacks preferring to avoid a public backlash saying one thing in public, and doing another thing in the voting booth. Don’t get me wrong – there are still those of other races who will base their vote on race. But, I believe the Bradley effect is more driven those of African heritage.

Bill Russell VS Murtha

UT OH

#413 kat in your hat on 10.16.08 at 4:22 pm

Oh, I have a comment to Murphy’s post up there.

She asked if Bill Ayers would be in Obama’s administration (education).

I have bad news. Guess who is Obama’s current education advisor? Professor Linda Darling-Hammond. She has worked with Bill Ayers and they both put out an education book together. Yuck, huh?

Have no doubt in your mind that O would apply Ayers’ ideas about education. O shares the same ideas, of course, which is why they worked together.

(They don’t like an emphasis in math and science, and they don’t like the pledge of allegiance or anything too pro-America, and they believe in teaching a controversial adaptation to American history–with an emphasis on world studies instead of American studies, and also it’s mainly about small schools and teaching reciprocity and community organizing, and teaching sex very early (so as not to voodoo it, I think), and a whole bunch of other things, mainly race relations.)

Why,why, why? If they wanted to find an average “Joe” they could have. Did they have to fake up Keetings son-in-law as Joe the Plumber? Don’t they realize that any hits they got and points made just vanished? I don’t often jump in and read every post, but as a confused voter who only knows who I don’t want to win – why fake it?
Harking way back to #276 -taking no action is also an action, that may just have to be my response this election

the Wall Street financial crisis is leaving investors scrambling for cash. That means there is less money available to be lent out. Those who rely on borrowed money to finance operating expenditures may be in for a painful dose of reality: In times of crisis, debt reliance can be catastrophic.

The biggest state in the union may be about to realize just that.

California will find out later this week if it is able to borrow several billion dollars from investors. If it is unable to do so, the state faces an uncertain future. Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has already warned U.S. Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson that the state may need to seek emergency federal funding if it is unable to access traditional debt markets. California needs to borrow about $7 billion before the end of the month, but because of current conditions it will first try to borrow only $4 billion.

“Given market conditions, we concluded it was best to go only for $4 billion immediately, and try for $3 billion more in a few weeks,” said state finance department spokesman H.D. Palmer.

Over-reliance on borrowing has left several other states in the same boat. New Jersey, Nevada, Rhode Island, Arizona, Delaware, New York, Florida and Alabama all need to borrow money to fund operations. “This is an unprecedented situation because of the scope of the lending needs,” says Alan Rubin, director of federal government relations for Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, which has decades of experience in state financing. “If these states can get their funds the usual way and start asking the federal government, there is no clear-cut way for Washington to respond.”

If California is unable to borrow money, it would not only be a dire signal to the rest of the country’s businesses and states, it would be a watershed event for the U.S. economy.

California, if it was a stand-alone country, would have one of the largest economies in the world. After the federal government, states are considered the safest loans out there. If California couldn’t get a loan, what would that mean for companies like General Motors, the airlines and thousands of other big businesses across America? Unless something rapidly changed, it could literally signal the end of corporate America as it is known today.

That includes congressional representative. The democrat running in my district seems to be a good guy and he is up against Congressman Mike Pence who has a 100% conservative record. I have almost always disagreed with Pence.

Now for my deleima: IF Obama wins, don’t we want as many people as possible in place to oppose him in the Legislative Branch? That means republicans!

From Newsmax

Secret Service: ‘Kill’ Obama Report Unfounded
Barack Obama asserted during Wednesday night’s presidential debate that someone shouted “kill him” when the Democrat’s name was mentioned at a Sarah Palin rally.

But the head Secret Service agent at Tuesday’s Palin rally in Scranton, Pa., said: Never happened.

The Scranton Times-Tribune first reported the alleged incident on Tuesday in a story written by reporter David Singleton, saying that while congressional candidate Chris Hackett was addressing the crowd and mentioned Obama’s name, a man in the audience shouted “kill him.”

Other media outlets picked up the story, including ABC News, MSNBC, and The Associated Press, with most attributing it to the Times-Tribune.

During the debate Obama mentioned to John McCain “some of the rallies that your running mate was holding, in which all the Republican reports indicated were shouting, when my name came up, things like ‘terrorist’ and ‘kill him,’ and that your running mate didn’t mention, didn’t stop, didn’t say, ‘Hold on a second, that’s kind of out of line.’”

But Bill Slavoski, the agent in charge of the Secret Service field office in Scranton, was in the audience at the rally, along with an undisclosed number of other agents, and he said not one of them heard the comment.

OMG … these people have no soul. This guy probably had no idea that he was about to be dragged through the mud by these bottom feeders from Daily Kos and HuffPo. This could be anyone of us. Sick, sick people.

I just heard Congressman Michael Capuano (D-MA) try to dismiss Joe by making a snarky remark that his name isn’t really Joe and he’s not a plumber. WTH? His real name is Sam Joe Wurzelbacher and he does work as a plumber.

Now ABC is reporting that he owes $1200 in taxes. This is so wrong and unethical … who cares if he owes taxes??? Why is it necessary to dig up dirt on this guy just because he disagrees with BO?? This is scary y’all.

The MSM is eating this guy alive all because he dared to challange their Obot Leader.

This is only the beginning folks.
Say hello to what an Obama POTUS will look like.

In this Hilter clip he speaks to the youth and talks about the “movement” … now, I realize BO isn’t a Hitler, (yet), but the effect that he has on the Obots is like Hitler’s effect on the Germans.

concerning Joe the Plumber: I posted on here yesterday that when I was in school ( more years than I care to remember) there were kids that you did not want to be on their ‘bad sides’ or if you saw them with your own eyes doing something illegal you said Nothing . Bo is one of those people. All Joe is guilty of is asking a question because he wanted to start a business, and see what happened to Joe, now if Joe had said now I know who I will vote for, it’s Bo, everything would have been fine, if Bo is this way now can you even try to imagine what he will be like when he gets the power of the potus.

Congress makes the laws. That is why if you are corrupt it is nice to be in congress.

The FBI does not check out congressmen because the congressmen wrote the laws. Kept it simple. No one who is elected to office is subjected to a clearance. They get automatic clearance without investigation. Thus an illegal alien can become president without getting a clearance. He gets it automatically.

By the way right now Obama is privey to all the biggest secrets of our government. He is a citizen of Indonesia. Never vetted. Never cleared for a security clearance.

We have to change the laws. We must get rid of all the corruption in Washington. Pretty impossible as it just gets worse.

NEW YORK (AP)—Major League Baseball has agreed to push back the start time of a potential World Series Game 6 by eight minutes to allow Democrat Barack Obama to purchase a half-hour of air time on the Fox network.

Baseball spokesman Pat Courtney said Thursday that the game time would now be set for 8:35 p.m.

The Obama presidential campaign said Oct. 9 that it had bought the 8-8:30 p.m slot on CBS and NBC.

“Fox will accommodate Senator Obama’s desire to communicate with voters in this long-form format,” network spokesman Lou D’Ermilio said in a statement. “We are pleased that Major League Baseball has agreed to delay the first pitch of World Series Game 6 for a few minutes in order for Fox to carry his program on Oct. 29. If requested, the network would be willing to make similar time available to Senator McCain’s campaign.”

The World Series has not gone to a sixth game since 2003.

The decision was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
