From what I am hearing outside blogosphere, the question of whether ‘white America’ is ready to elect a black president has been transformed by all the rhetoric and accusations of being ‘racist’ if one does not vote for Obama, and the threats of violent riots or race war if he is not elected.

Before I started looking past the rhetoric and seeing the fraud and evil, I felt proud that Obama was being embraced by the party. I thought (hoped eeek) that we would have a Clinton/Obama ticket. I think there were many others who had the same thoughts.
We’ve come a long way baby.
If it hadn’t been for the treatment of Hillary in the media, my radar would not have gone off…but it did. As soon as I applied my attention to it, I knew Obama was a fraud exploiting the goodwill of many Americans.
Dirty politics is par for the course, but when they did what they did to Hillary they started a barnfire. Fires are natures way of cleaning out old growth.
I was listening to KUOW the PBS radio channel today and they had a guy talking about how 25% of households now do not have a land line and many who do have land lines have caller ID and don’t pick up for unknown numbers or pollsters. He said this made polling unstable right now and they don’t know how to account for the changes yet or what to do about them. So I am guessing the polls are way off. I have a lot of Ohio and Iowa relatives and and I just don’t see many of them voting for BO. If any of them were sort of inclined to the Ayers thing would put and end to that right now. I Emailed them all the Youtube link to the Hank Williams Jr song about McCain/Palin, the liberal media etc and I suspect it will have more impact than flyers would.

Glenn Beck cracks me up a lot, even though I do not agree with him on a lot of issues (inlcuding being nasty to Hillary) he does know how to put some things into perspective in a highly comedic way.

my husband who is not a puma but knows I am did something funny today. We had to go to the court house for our final adoption of our grandson ( which we won!!) We had our grandson with us and he is not quite 3 , anyway they had the voting booths set up on the floor we were on and they directed us around the booths because they said legally we could not walk around the booths so my husband walked up to the table where they were registering and said I want to register my grandson to vote for McCain, I thought I would die, well the women looked at each other like what do we do, and he just laughed and walked away.

I agree with your analysis. Pat Buchanan said as much this morning on Scarborough. He said the polls are way off and that they are not getting a representative sample of the population. He said they are oversampling the Democrats and undersampling the Republicans. The new CBS/NYT poll is ridiculous. It is all done by automated voice. That means that a child can take the poll by pushing buttons. There is NO quality control on that poll. I noticed that the reason they give on the poll’s 10 pt. swing to BO is that it is the economy. However, their headline says it is because McCain’s negativity backfired. What a joke. They are so in the tank for BO. Some of the poll, though, are starting to report the likely voters, and these #s are showing BO is losing ground. That’s why he is whining today about FOX. It has nothing to do with FOX. It is all about BO.
By the way, I don’t believe McCain is losing PA. I also read that their internal polls said that he is ahead in PA. It’s all about psychological warfare.

I hope that McCain is not too nice tonight. All the media commentators that I have read and heard said that he has to take the gloves off. His supporters have told him to take the gloves off tonight. I think that he was trying to tell us something in Virginia Beach on Monday when he said that he will fight for us and that he is a fighter.

A couple of thoughts:
1) Pookie, my “uplifting words” are posted on the last two threads…it´s kinda long and I don´t want to take up too much space on this one! Somehow whenever I post it you´ve all moved on! haha. As well, congratulations on the adoption of your grandson!
2) As a person who´s studied statistics, I would say keep in mind that many of these polls have between a 2.5 and 3-point margin of error (each candidate could be either up or down 2.5 to 3 points from what they report) and a 95% confidence level (they are 95% sure that the candidates would be within the margin of error…if Obama has 51%, they might be 95% sure that he´s between 48 and 54%, for example). Also keep in mind that the numbers depend on who is being polled (i.e. who answers the phone). Depending on when the pollsters make their calls, they could be getting more of one segment than another (e.g. retirees, stay-at-home moms, people who are unemployed might be well-represented while people who work two jobs will be under-represented). Usually people passionate about a cause want to participate in the polling…other people think it´s a waste of time and hang up. Polling nowadays misses out on an interesting segment: those who do not have landlines but use their cellphones for everything. Another stats lesson another time….
3) With regard to having Hillary in the audience, I think this could be a positive thing for McCain. It´ll put a bit of pressure on Obama and, with any luck, it will remind Hillary supporters of what was taken away from them. If enough attention is given to her, some that are now going for Obama might remember why they DIDN´T support him before.

In Ohio ballots I believe will start to be opened on the 25th. Voter fraud in my opinion has taken place in these ballots. Once they are opened and seperated from the envelope they can not be tracked. Brunner has 72 hours to set up a system and must check these ballots.

They both had on Obama Youth T-Shirts and blue bracelets. During the morning pledge, the two boys sat down. Prior to this, she had noticed that they were not putting their hands over their heart during the pledge and leaning on their chairs in a disrespectful manner. She had talked with each privately about showing respect during the pledge and that it was their right not to recite/participate, but they were to be respectful of the others who wished to do so. After today, when they sat down during the pledge, she asked them to stand respectfully until it was completed. One of the boys told her he didn’t have to and that if she had a problem with it then she could call his parents because they told him he didn’t have to. She went to the principal this afternoon after school and told her what happened and the principal said that as long as they were not causing a disturbance there was nothing that could be done. As Michelle 47 posted, this IS NOT the country that represents my values if this is what CHANGE in America will be in an Obama Administration.

One group is the focus of the investigation after more than 100 forms turned out to be fraudulent. Election leaders in Wake County sift through dozens of returned letters, a sign voter registration forms from a variety of groups had bogus mailing addresses. Statewide, 135 fake forms –30 in Wake County and about 104 in Durham County– are the focus of a state investigation –a small number, but still a big issue to republican leaders.
“They are a threat to the public at large and two they are engaged in large scale fraud and you don’t have to take my word for it,” said Danny Diaz, communications director for the Republican National Committee. “You wouldn’t have federal and state authorities looking into their activities.”
ACORN, a national group that has registered 27,000 new voters in North Carolina, is at the center of the controversy.
Officials say some of its workers used names and numbers out of phone books and others registered applicants multiple times.
“We tell our canvassers right away, ‘don’t do this, there are criminal consequences if you do it’,” Pat McCoy with ACORN said. “We have had people who were prosecuted, but the organization has not been found to be guilty in regards to our programs.”
Critics argue, unlike North Carolina, some states are sorting through hundreds of fraudulent forms, a burden to overwhelmed election workers.
They blame senator Obama’s alleged ties to acorn –a relationship his campaign denies– adding the voter registration controversy is a political ploy.
“I think it is a distraction, because again they’re not affiliated with our campaign. They’re not doing this on our behalf, we’re registering voters ourselves,” campaign strategist Robert Gibbs said. “We have the best field organization in NC and throughout this country.”

545 PEOPLE

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then
campaign against them.
Have you ever wondered why, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are
against deficits, we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered why, if all the politicians are against inflation and
high taxes, we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don’t propose a federal budget. The president does.
You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations.
The House of Representatives does.
You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one president, and nine Supreme
Court justices 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly,
legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems
that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was
created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty
to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central
bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They
have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a
congressman, or a president to do one cotton-picking thing. I don’t care if
they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the
power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is
the legislator’s responsibility to determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what
they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of
party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount
of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood
up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The president can
only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole
responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving
appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? She is the leader
of the majority party. She and fellow House members, not the president, can
approve any budget they want. If the president vetoes it, they can pass it
over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace
545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of incompetence and
irresponsibility. I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not
traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth
that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must
follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red.
If the Marines are in IRAQ , it’s because they want them in IRAQ .
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan
not available to the people, it’s because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire
and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they
can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from
whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the
belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like ‘the economy,’
‘inflation,’ or ‘politics’ that prevent them from doing what they take an
oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power.
They, and they alone, should be held accountable width by the people
who are their bosses provided the voters have the gumption to manage their
own employees.
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

McCain’s Republican voters, as well as we former Democrats who are supporting him, insist that Sen. Obama is not suitable to be president of the US. He is of very questionable character and he has gotten where he is today by nefarious means. Rev. Wright and the church he preached in, where Obama was a faithful member for 20 years, espoused a hate America and a hate white people agenda known to all the members of that church.
This is Sen. McCain’s last best chance to tell it like it is about Sen. Obama. Sen. Obama is not the man that Sen. McCain has given him credit for. The Obama voters I have spoken to are using John McCain’s “kind” words concerning Obama against us. We McCain supporters are angry, very angry, that this election has been fixed and that John MCain is not doing all that he can with the mountain of evidence he has at his disposal against Sen. Obama.
Sen Obama must not be president of the United States, as he doesn’t have the best interests of ALLl of its people in mind.
Senator McCain must remember that he is no longer in Annapolis, MD, and that Sen. Obama didn’t go to the Naval Academy Obama is not on the honor system.

Thanks for that. I´ve checked it out, and it seems that there are a couple that are getting into the cellphone samples. Pew and CBS/NY Times, specifically, that I´ve seen. Rasmussen samples seem to be at night by telephone, suggesting that they would be using landline numbers. LA Times, Washington Post/ABC News and Reuters/Zogby seem to also be hitting landlines, as they aren´t mentioning cellphones in their methodology.

I would think like a defense attorney, their job is not to disprove the evidence of the prosecutor…their only job is to “throw doubt–cast doubt.” Like this:
There’s something we should talk about here. It’s something that is of great concern to many Americans. We know that a lot of our mainstream media has a left sided tilt–a bias–but what is especially disturbing this election year, is that the many in the media are not only promoting Obama with, they are not sufficiently vetting him–they are covering up for him. I’m just going to be straight with you: Our mainstream media has behaved like a propaganda machine for Obama. I think it’s disturbing.
You know, Obama came out of the blue, and he skyrocketed to fame. He’s gotten such strange media bias that many people still feel like they don’t know who Obama really is. There are so many unanswered questions. I hear this concern often.
People are concerned, Americans are concerned…Obama came out of nowhere, with very little experience, a questionable resume, and he has had a lot of shady characters boost him in his career, people like Rezko, Wright, Ayers, Dorhn, ACORN, Khalidi, Farrakhan, Khalid al Mansour (etc)..
There is a common theme surrounding Obama and the conglomeration of people and organizations he is and was a part of, and it’s a theme of anti-Americanism that surpasses the stereotypical far left liberalism we are aware of.
It goes back to honesty and judgment. The media has not fully vetted Obama, and it’s hurting our country…whether it is biased reports on Obama’s tax plans, or his professional background, or the people and organizations he chose to be involved with.
There is so much more to Barack Obama, and American citizens are not being informed, because much of our mainstream media simply won’t tell them.
Listen, not all change is good. Some change is wrong. I understand people want change, because I want change as well, otherwise I would not be here to fight for the people. But change for change’s sake is wrong, it’s got to be the right kind of change. I have a record, I have been vetted for a long time, and I have a history with the American people. You can trust me. You can believe me…you can believe me when I say that I love America, and I know we always must stay vigiliant to protect our democracy, and I will protect our democracy. Remember, some change is wrong, my fellow Americans. Please fight for America with me. We need one another. Fight with me. Vote for me. etc etc blah blah

Murtha is the guy who said the Marines killed civilians in cold blood in Habitha. All but one has been exonerated. And the last one is going to be, soon.
