Danforth says that 53,000 of the 300,000 or so new registrations filed by ACORN in Philadelphia were rejected as fraudulent. Wow. How many slipped through? That’s a high percentage. Holy smokes.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton puts the chances of her running for president again at near zero _ slightly higher than the chances she gives for becoming Senate majority leader or a Supreme Court justice.
In an interview aired Tuesday on “Fox & Friends” on the Fox News Channel, Clinton, D-N.Y., was asked the chances, on a scale of 1 to 10, that she would be the next majority leader in the Senate.
“Oh, probably zero,” she said. “I’m not seeking any other position than to be the best senator from New York that I can be.”
Being nominated to the Supreme Court?
“Zero,” Clinton said. “I have no interest in doing that.”

“Probably close to zero,” she said. “There’s an old saying: Bloom where you’re planted.”

I agree. Obama wrote at the time of the Annenberg challenge that ‘assimilation is not possible’ and that African Americans needed to learn Afrocentric history, not white history. What all his critics have done so far to seek the truth about Obama?

Be aware that Courts can be tainted also and have Ex-parte communication, which means corruption.
Regardless of who he is, in our legal system based in contitutional rights, he filed a lawsuit and it stands.
The ruling and proceedings of this case, should be on the merits.
If the Judge’s ruling is because Berg is a “nut case”; there is abuse of discretion and improper litigation, grounds for appeal and request for the Judge to be recused.
Unfortunately, the legal proceedings can take too much time, and this Judge does not seem to be interested to approach the case in a more expeditious manner. and that’s not Berg’s fault for lack of standing or reasons for cause.

Senator Joe Lieberman was recently quoted as saying, “The Democratic Party of today is not the Democratic Party that I joined in the ’60s under my hero President Kennedy, and it’s not the Democratic Party of my dear friend Bill Clinton”.
Like Senator Lieberman, many of us feel our party has thrilled itself into a very ugly one night stand. A transmitted disease of fraud and deceit has hit critical mass and taken over our system. It’s been happening right under our noses and most of us were too in denial and naïve to see the warning signs. It’s heartbreaking and it could take a very long time to heal.
What is happening now in the party-body is the rationalization/justification phase of the denial process. “Well….I hear what you are saying sort of, but I just know in my heart ‘change’ is the right thing. I just know he’s ‘The One’. I just know it. I feel it. Oprah even says so and I trust Oprah. BESIDES, he’s much closer to Hillary on the ‘issues’ than is McCain. Think Roe v. Wade.”
Ah yes. The issues.
Never mind most of these justifiers couldn’t spell out the particulars of an ‘issue’ if their life depended on it. Never mind Magic Man’s actual performance reflects zero change in Washington as usual. And never mind that Magic Man as President would have no legal obligation to follow the party platform at all. The final rationalization to “come on home” with the Magic Man now boils down to not the man, but (ahem) “The Issues”.
Rationalization is predictable as are second thoughts. Many of the frustrated among us are so entrenched in their emotional investment in Barack Obama (fed by daily doses of CNN or MSNBC) that nothing will change their minds. Still, others are listening to that inner voice reminding them a tryst with the Magic Man will be followed by the morning after.
There is always a morning after and usually a first look in mirror and the muttering, “What was I thinking?”
Americans are hurting and at the same time we are decidedly lacking in the ability to tolerate ambiguity. That’s a perfect environment for impulsive action. Simplistic, emotionally manipulative messages feel like salve on our wounds. They sound and feel so good.
“Change” (Ah yes)
“Unity” (Love the one you’re with)
Rhythmic chants like “Yes We Can. Yes We Can. Yes We Can.” (Faster and louder)
“Baby, lets get high for awhile!”
This is not the language of a democracy at work. This is thinly veiled third-world socialism. It’s a global message designed for the broadest audience and the lowest common denominator. All the hard evidence we could ever need is right there in front of us; the associations, the personal history, the cover-ups, the fraud, the avoidant verbiage. We can’t say we didn’t know.
When the morning after comes, many of the desperate and lovelorn will kick themselves and slink into the oblivion wounded and silenced. Others will amp up their justifications and blame shifting. “We were sold a bill of goods.” “Don’t believe the opposition because they are racists.” “I know he tried to call. There must be something wrong with my telephone.”
Sorry, but being lead around by something other than our rational brains does not save us from the consequences of our decisions. We’ve taken this ride before. WE WILL NOT FIX THE AUTICITIES OF A MASCOT FROM THE RADICAL RIGHT BY INSTALLING A MASCOT FROM THE RADICAL LEFT. That kind of change sets us up for even bigger problems; more divisiveness, more chaos, and more turmoil. Jumping from the fire to the frying pan is not change we can believe in, it’s magical thinking and it’s dangerous.
If we really want to preserve the system of checks and balances in this country, then look at the numbers and make a strategic decision. What we need right now is a global centrist and real numbers that create real checks and balances between our systems of government. That way we can regroup over the next four years and re-consider our path as a nation.
I would prefer a centrist standing to the left of center over a centrist standing to right of center, but that’s beside the point.
Neither of these guys is the ‘The One’ but one is demonstrably more corrupt (and magical) than the other. Only one will create a balance between the branches and will (by virtue of the fact he will not run again) leave the field wide open in four years. Let’s be smart about this, control the damage and clean our house so a real leader with real experience and wisdom can emerge in the next four years.
Personally, I have no desire to wake up in a strange bed and then try to forget I was ever there. Been there. Done that. Learned the lesson. Nope. Not this time. I’ll buy my own dinner and slip on over for a chat with that awkward guy in the corner who could become a friend. He might not be as much fun, but I’ll like myself in the morning. Oh and ah….keep the change Magic Man.

I would like to quell some rumors I see being fostered by over active imaginations.
First, if you had reviewed all the links (as I typically do) from yesterday — there was a link to a radio show Corsi did yesterday. On the radio interview — Corsi explained that he typically has been known to have back problems on and off — and the stress of the Kenya ordeal has brought the back pain on again. So he cancelled his TV appearances — but said that he is still able to keep his radio schedules since he is able to lie down and recouperate while communicating to the radio host via a phone line.
Second rumor presented by #6 Mick — in a TV interview link (from a post yesterday) with Berg — the interviewer asked about the rumors of Berg’s involvement with a 9/11 case. Berg explained that a family who had lost someone in the 9/11 events hired him to push Bush to do an investigation into whether the events of 9/11 could have been prevented. Or he explained something along those lines. For what it’s worth — his explanation seemed very credible and I agree with someone else that posted that it shouldn’t seem nuts to question Bush’s involvement or lack of involvement in preventing 9/11

The story of the murder of the two girls above does not sound to me like a typical honor killing.
The Koran forbids fathers killing their children. This especially pertains to girls, as Moslems often point to the prohibition against female infanticide as proof of the superiority of their religion. The prohibition applies to all daughters, so the honor killings are usually done by the girls’ brothers.
If the father orders the killing I think the brother has to do it, as the Koran says they must obey both their father and mother. There were roughly 30 honor killings a year during the time I lived in one Middle eastern country. All of them that I read about in the papers were done by the girl’s brother.
I have never heard of an honor killing in this country. There was a case here of a 13-year-old raped by a family member, an uncle I think, that they were going to kill but decided not to. Over there when they kill someone, they turn themselves in to the police right away, tell the police what they did, and nothing ever happens to them. Of course it wouldn’t happen like that here.

They tell her she will get an ACORN t-shirt, clipboard for people to sign up. She said “welcome aboard, glad to have you”. She is going to go to that office but buy a tape recorder first for future phone conversations, it is legal in Virginia. Stay tuned…….

I just received a robo call from the democratic party here in Az. I called them back and asked them to take them off their list, as I had switched registration and was not planning on voting for a single democrat in this state.
Get this- the woman who answered started fighting w/ me- telling me Palin scares the hell out of her and she has no experience. So I asked her what Obama had done, of course- same Obot response- but the point is I was calling her and she got into a pissing match with me!!

I hate to say it but I believe the American empire is coming to an end. For almost a century our country has sent troops to every corner of the globe for various reasons that politicians have stated. Some of those wars have been fought with good intentions, others not, but in the end they all had the same goal: to secure resources. Both parties have taken our simple ideological belief in freedom and republican government and transformed it into a consuming giant fueled by its war machine and deeply in debt to its friends and enemies (China). I believe in limited government, limited in both civilian and military capacity, as to guarantee that our rights cannot be trampled on. If you throw a frog into a pot of boiling water it jumps out, but if you put it in cold water and slowly bring it to a boil it will die in the water. Our freedoms are being slowly brought to a boil. Corruption, lies, greed, and war. BOTH PARTIES ARE RESPONSIBLE. I believe in a republican government of peace, whose military does not extend beyond its borders unless attacked (doctrine of non-intervention). I believe in free market capitalism with some limited checks. I believe that all people should treat each other with respect and dignity. This is the country I would like to see. Neither candidate will do this. I fear that if we don’t change our ways soon we will go the way of Rome.

Several years a go I tried to stop a woman I know from getting involved with an abuser. Everyone thought I was just jealous and he was a decent fellow. Friends , family, you name it. I was a pos. Went on for over 6 months.
End result, she is now living with a man who controls every aspect of her life, her family won’t even allow him in their house when they go to visit. She works, he stays home and gets high.
Don’t make to many assumptions.
The only question you should ask regarding Hillary is, does she have the moral fiber you thought she did?
If yes then you must trust her judgment here.
We can’t know it all.

She is in my prayers every day. She has had to go through so much pain in public view that my heart hurts thinking about it. I still take strengh from her. I believe she see things as making her better or bitter and she choose better!

So this lady just called me about a job I had applied for (spreading joy doesn’t really pay the bills ) and , while I don’t ‘exactly’ have all of the qualifications the job requires , intellectually , I can do the job , so I thought , what the hell and applied . So while the lady is asking me if I have this or have done this , my answers were all ,”no” , then she asked what I was doing for work now and I said (very seriously) , “Well I had applied with the DNC to run for President of the United States but they said I was over qualified and decided to run Obama instead .”
She fell completely silent for a second and then started snorting with laughter and said ,” CAn you please send me your resume and schedule a time to come in ! I KNOW I have a job for you somewhere.”
Who knows , maybe spreading joy does pay the bills …

Lots of F words.. then I take a deep breath.. do something else if I had to.. AND then delete it. It just helps to get it out of my system WITHOUT dumping it out on my fellow pumas. I don’t think we all need to hear all our grievances or our emotions of the day. So I found it very theraputic to blog like I want to send it but I find that deleting it prevents a lot of un-necessary hate and discontent, not to mention sending everone who reads it off into a different unproductive tangent.
Once I let it slip and submitted it – but it is better to just delete it. Sometimes what seems so important to us individually, seems so trivial in the big scheme of things.

FOX did a special some months back… might have been a 1- or 2-hour long special — can’t remember the time length but the entire topic was the Honor killings here in America. The two daughters killed by the father was one of the investigations being reported on along with a woman who survived an attempted honor killing when she was repeatedly knifed… but neighbors heard commotion and called police who managed to intervene and get her to a hospital in time to save her life.

I read the sites and they didn’t really say anything that contradicts what I heard Corsi and Berg say in person. I want to take advantage of the moment to tell you I totally understand what you are going through with your kitty. My Poupee had hyperthyroidism. Unfortunately, it took my niece, a Vet assistant to tell me to get him to the Vet. There is an iodine treatment for the disease but Poupee’s case was too advanced for the treatment. He did live 5 more years, but if I had taken him sooner he could have lived longer. I believe that his last stages were advanced when he was left in the care of relatives that didn’t give him his medication as scheduled. When I returned home he was walking as you described. He did better after got him back on his medication, but it wasn’t a year before I had to have him put to sleep. Perhaps your kitty could benefit from the iodine treatment. They do tests to ascertain the advantages of the iodine treatment.

No, not MOST Americans. Conservatives don’t believe that the United States government, (ie. Bush), brought down the Twin Towers and killed 3,000 Americans and then covered it up.
You are correct though that some Americans believe this, about 1/3 believe that 9/11 was an inside job. I believe that probably 99% of that 1/3 are voting for Obama. Those same people will turn around and try to discredit Berg with it.
I might also add that the same far left liberal web sites like HuffPo, Daily Kos, Michael Moore, and Rosie O’Donnell that have pushed the 9/11 conspiracy theory are the same people that are willing to smear, lie, and cheat their way to an Obama win.

Sharia law is actually pretty rare. Out of all the predominantly Moslem countries in the world there might be one that actually uses it (the failed state of Somalia?) At any rate, whenever someone really pious mentions the possibility of sharia law, like in a letter to the editor, there are always a dozen or so readers to pounce on them and point out how impractical it is for a modern government.
That said, the restrictions of living in a predominately Moslem country can be aggravating, to say the least, even when the people are so sincere and fun and hospitable.

My union rep who is AA was telling me about the 9/11 conspiracies they talk about on the local AA talk radio station. When it comes to union business she knows her stuff, but this time I just backed away slowly.
