holy smokes.

From this morning’s NYT:

“An analysis of campaign finance records by The New York Times this week found nearly 3,000 donations to Mr. Obama, the Democratic nominee, from more than a dozen people with apparently fictitious donor information. The contributions represent a tiny fraction of the record $450 million Mr. Obama has raised. But the questionable donations — some donors were listed simply with gibberish for their names — raise concerns about whether the Obama campaign is adequately vetting its unprecedented flood of donors.”

What’s significant here, aside from the obvious FRAUD! is that the NYT’s review was both cursory and brief — a few hours looking over a random sample of names — and they immediately identified $40,000 in blatantly obvious fraudulent donations. What the heck?

More HERE.

Secretary of State Brunner in Ohio has been found to be acting in violation of the law. And, better yet, the federal judge on the case is INSISTING that the state verify ALL of the new voter registrations. Very good.

Hillbuzz tells me that over 4,000 dead people are registered and ready to vote in Texas. Wow! I knew Texas was special, but that’s REALLY special!

Crazy, crazy days, Folks.

Oh, and the stock market opened 500 points lower this morning after the Day From Hell yesterday and the Night from Deepest Hell overnight in Asia and Europe.

And it’s only 10am.

holy smokes.

It feels like the end of the world. I’m not religous (tho I was born Catholic) and with the stock market crashing and Obama trying to take power, it does seem like Armaggedon – He’s the anti-christ and this is the end of the world.

Sorry for being so glum so early

There was talk about Hillary and Bill not standing up (downstairs). A lot of people think they sold out, they’ve been promised something that they want in exchange for their support. Maybe it’s more like they were threatened. When she was brought down the aisle at that convention surrounded by all those Senators now supporting BO and calling for unity, it reminded me of a head of state who had been overthrown being led to the guillotine. Something to think about…

rabblerouser. will ANYONE in their right mind vote for such an obviously unready president in the face of this global meltdownn?

I think the feds have caught on to how AUDACIOUSLY rampant the obama movement’s fraud has been.

if they cant stop it all in time for Nov 4th I think it will AT LEAST put a damper on Obama’s turnout at the same time that it excites the rest of us to get out there and vote AGAINST the fraud.

#17 RedStateGuy on 10.10.08 at 10:19 am

LATEST FROM RASMUSSEN:

Voters say Barack Obama beat John McCain in Tuesday night’s presidential debate 45% to 28%, but they also think McCain is better prepared to be president than Obama by an 11-point margin.

Over one-quarter of voters (28%) didn’t pick either man as the winner of the debate, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey taken Wednesday evening.

Sixty-one percent (61%) say McCain is prepared to be president, while 50% feel that way about Obama. While 28% say McCain isn’t ready to be the chief executive, 43% say that of the Democratic nominee.
- – - – -

That 61% is big. Makes me believe that some folks may hesitate voting for BO when they get in that voting booth…

Heard on the Bill Bennett show that Stanley Kurtz has made a news breaking connection between Obama, Bill Ayers, ACORN and the current banking crisis that never should have been. It’s no longer going to be just about a terrorist association Obama has with Ayers.

Wait for it. Hopefully soon it will explode. Tune into Bill Bennet’s show on the radio Monday morning for an update.

Lets look at the bright side :We are finally exposing much of the corruption that have been going on for so many years. Now we can scrub them.
I’m feeling happy. Even if we are having a hard time, they are going to get f*^k up.
Also, now the press will have to talk about it. And Obama will not be able to scape.
There are too many persons that do not use the Internet, but will start opening their eyes about the truth before they cast their votes.

I am a PA PUMA.
Once I receive my flyers…I will get a few volunteers and map out hotels, campuses, areas, where distribution might be effective. I will also make some of my own like “Principles of Country Before the ‘New Democratic Socialist Party’…
Say NO to Unrepenting American Terrorism
Say NO to Radical Left-wing Socialism
Say NO to ACORN and widespread voter FRAUD
Say NO to Illegal Foreign Manipulation of our election process
Say NO to Corrupt Chicago-style Politics and Intimidation
Say NO to Religious American Hate-mongers
Say NO to Non-transparency of elected officials
Say NO to OPRESSION of Free Speech and Opinion
Say NOBAMA….. NOBAMA

Say YES to MAKING YOUR VOICE COUNT…
on NOV. 4th”

Is there any way groups of people can MAKE SOME NOISE in PROTEST and ANGER about Socialistic Dominance and media SUPRESSION of ALL the facts we know about BO? At some important event? Doesn’t have to be a large number of people….just peaceful PROTEST about OBAMA + THUGS= BAD POLITICS FOR USA?

#25 BrooklynNY on 10.10.08 at 10:31 am

Even though the polls are still saying Obama is beating McCain, I’m not entirely discouraged by that. The more Obamabots think Obama’s election is a sure thing, perhaps the less likely they will be to ACTUALLY go out and vote for him? Why trouble their sorry little selves waiting in lines and upsetting their busy lives spreading hate and lies by actually going to the polls when their anointed one is going to win anyway?

But you can bet your bottom dollar all those Republicans and other informed voters NOT supporting Obamabat WILL be voting. Hope they can compete with all those dogs and cats and dead people, though, to give McCain and Palin the victory America needs to keep her safe and free.

I think a lot of people will vote for BO – a lot of them either don’t believe what they hear (from every source but BO) or they’re not that involved to understand what’s happening. Someone downstairs asked a great question: Why is violence (or oppression) from the left more acceptable than violence (or oppression) from the right? I don’t know why Americans accept one and are afraid of the other. But I do know that the universities in america since the 80′s have been very very socialist leaning and maybe there’s a whole generation that sees oppression as only coming from the right…

The answer to your question, sadly, is yes – right minded people will vote for BO esp. when the economy is tanking. Many intellectuals of the 30′s became ardent communists because they believed that the Great Depression showed that Capitalism was a failure.

#33 TexasTigress on 10.10.08 at 10:34 am

Regarding polls ..

I never looks at the polls . I use a completly different method to gauge how the country is ‘leaning’ . I understand that it is far from scientific , but follow with me for a sec…
I think it is safe to assume that viewers of cable news stations are likely voters , and when you break it down to Far Left (Obama ) you have Msnbc – on the far right is FOX . There is a mix on CNN , but I wouldn’t call them ‘moderate’ so I divide their viewership 70-30 for Obama .
Each morning I check the ratings for the previous day , and I divide the “votes’ using the above formula . MCCain is virtually ALWAYS ahead .
Here are the ratings from yesterday :
P2+ Total Day
FNC – 1,654,000 viewers
CNN –1,097,000 viewers
MSNBC –771,000 viewers

This might only help me get through the polling , but (sniff & tears) if this helps even ONE puma …. talk amongst yourselves ….

Yesterday in Manhattan I came across a man selling election buttons on a streetcorner in midtown. I asked him which candidate’s buttons were selling more. He said, “Obama by about 10 to 1.” Ugh! (I bought 1 McCain/Palin, 1 Palin, 1 Hillary (yeah he still had some Hillarys). I asked him who’s button he’d be wearing if he was wearing a button. He said, “Obama. I think Obama.” I said, “Really, why?” He said, “Change. We need change. I think it’s time for change.” (Heaven help us). The guy didn’t seem to have any idea exactly what he meant by “change.” All he knew was he wanted “change.” I said, “Really, do you really think we’re going to get change with Obama? Are you worried about your taxes going up if he gets elected? I mean, how is he going to pay for all those programs he’s promising without raising taxes?” The guy looked a little nervous when I said that. He turned away from me. Then he turned back and said, “Yeah. They’re all crooks. They’re all crooks.”

So that’s the retort to questions about Obama being able to deliver on his promises: “They’re all crooks.”

That’d make me feel so much better about chosing Obama as my candidate…..The guy who’s for change, but God only knows what that is and he’s no worse than the other guy because they’re “all crooks.” Didn’t sound like any kind of ringing endorsement for Obama. I wonder if such “devoted” support is going to hold up at the polling booth, especially when the Republicans and the few decent news outlets out there start turning up the heat on Obama, his deeply troubling associations and the corrupt doings of the Democratic Party.

One can surely HOPE it has an effect and brings people to their senses!

“Ties to Obama

While the Obama campaign is trying to downplay its ties to ACORN, the Republican National Committee has issued a “fact sheet” playing up those ties.

In 1992 Obama worked for Project Vote, ACORN’s voter-registration arm, the RNC says on its Web site.

The Associated Press reported that in 1995, Obama was among a team of attorneys who represented ACORN in a lawsuit against the State of Illinois. ACORN sued the state for failing implement a federal law designed to make it easier for the poor people to register as voters.

In 2001 and 2002 — a time when Obama served on the board of directors of the The Woods Fund — the Chicago ACORN received thousands of dollars in grants from the Fund, the RNC says.”

Many, many people have already made up their minds about who they’ll vote for and they’re tuning out again at this point. I sure hope all these polls are wrong, but right now, and with the economy in the dems court, things are not looking good. Many people who are on the fence that I talk to are saying point blank that if something else does not happen, like war or foreign policy crisis, McCain is dead in the water. I really think we need to keep pounding on the connection between the dems and the current econ crisis. These dems are NOT our economic saviors by any stretch!

Kerry Swiftboating started way earlier then this as I recall. Why are they starting so late? I really, really hope that the repugs have something else other then this Ayers thing because it does not appear to be causing the big dent we’d hoped.

I really think we have, Dances. I think it’s taken months of pounding away, but whenever I see this ACORN stuff on TV and in the papers lately, I hear echoes of all the information that’s been posted on our blogs for months. I don’t think Gwen Ifill would have been so careful not to blatantly favor Obama in the debate if not for PUMA and others like us. This S of S in Ohio being called on the carpet about voter fraud in Ohio wouldn’t have happened to the degree that it is if not for PUMA, in my mind.

I think we’re definitely having an effect and it’s a snowball effect. Hopefully, it will reach critical mass before election day!

This is the only place I can express my disappointment and horror freely. Yesterday, I got 2 punches in the gut and I just can’t stop thinking about it.
1. My boss, which is a hard core Republican told me at lunch that her and her husband had decided that the Republican primaries were down to 2 candidates, Huckabee and McCain. They didn’t care which one won. So they both voted in the Democratic primary and voted for Obama!!! They just didn’t want Hillary to win. I was completely stunned. I live in Texas and she won the primary but Obama did so well in the Caucus that he ended up getting most of the delegates in Texas. My boss rationalized that Hillary won the Texas primary so it really didn’t matter.
2. Also on this very same day, I found out my own mother voted for Obama in the Texas Demacratic primary. Now she is terrified that Obama is going to win the GE and has moaned and groaned but to find this out was earth shattering to me. Her reasoning is she didn’t want Hillary to win.
Now these 2 very same people are scared to death that Obama is going to win the GE and voice their fear constantly. I am speechless. How can they complain when they help make this mess? Has anyone else had this happen to them?
I don’t understand why Republicans would come over and intrude in Democratic business(my boss). I have never felt the need to do that. I am so disappointed in these 2 people and shocked. Just plain shocked.
Puma’s be honest, am I being silly and should get over it?

GREAT QUOTE:

I love quotes from the Founding Fathers of our country. These guys were exception people. Here’s a quote that
truly fits our times:

Samuel Adams:
“The public cannot be too curious concerning the characters of public men… Nothing is more essential to the establishment of manners in a State than that all persons employed in places of power and trust must be men of unexceptionable characters… If men of wisdom and knowledge, of moderation and temperance, of patience, fortitude and perseverance, of sobriety and true republican simplicity of manners, of zeal for the honour of the Supreme Being and the welfare of the commonwealth; if men possessed of these other excellent qualities are chosen to fill the seats of government, we may expect that our affairs will rest on a solid and permanent foundation… [N]either the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt… No people will tamely surrender their Liberties, nor can any be easily subdued, when knowledge is diffused and Virtue is preserved. On the Contrary, when People are universally ignorant, and debauched in their Manners, they will sink under their own weight without the Aid of foreign Invaders… Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual—or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country… Religion and good morals are the only solid foundation of public liberty and happiness.”

#40 Lilibet,

It will all end when you move to Texas. Really. Everything is just fine here. No fear exists except for those who listen to the media all day long.

I’m as happy and optimistic as ever. The market going down doesn’t scare me. I’m actually putting more into the market because it’s an excellent time to buy up what the stupids of investing are selling. They have no idea how the market has historically worked. Just waiting now for the inevitable return of the market when I’ll be more secure financially than ever.

In the meantime, I’m so proud and lucky to be living life within my means in an economically safe state like Texas. Life goes on at a slower pace than the rest of the country. The media can go to hell as far as I’m concerned.

Maybe Lilibet you should turn off the TV and move to Texas. We’d love to have you.

By the way, we shoot frauds in Texas. :-)

TOPIC: New York Times

Murphy, if the NYT doesn’t do more extensive reporting on this story – after reporting this today:

“But even a contributor who used the name “Jgtj Jfggjjfgj,” and listed an address of “thjtrj” in “gjtjtjtjtjtjr, AP,” was able to contribute $370 in a series of $10 donations in August.

A pair of donors named “Derty West” and “Derty Poiiuy,” who listed “rewq, ME” as their addresses and “Qwertyyy” or “Qwerttyyu” as either their employer or occupation, contributed a combined $1,110 in July.”

- then wow, they will really lose a lot of credibility with this longtime reader!

Be interesting to see how many column inches they devote to this topic in the next few weeks.

Lilibet , have a cup of Chamomile tea , light a candle and remember :

Obama’s actions , thus far, have failed to produce their equal opposite , which only means the equal opposite has been compounding .
Obama , himself, set this particular (such a funny pun if you are a physics geek – get it ,PARTICULAR ha !)

I still believe that if you plan to be President of the US you better show proof that you served the country in the military or in some way that shows you gave service to the country before you try to TAKE IT OVER. And serving and working ONLY and EXCLUSIVELY for 1 “community” doesn’t qualify as serving the whole country. Obama shows nothing except taking advantage of the system(s) and working exclusively in the Black and Radical communities……..so where is the evidence of SERVICE to the WHOLE COUNTRY?
A pretty face and fast talking rhetoric does not make a patriot nor a leader !

From day ONE. I told all around me that the Republicans had plotted to have BO beat HRC because they felt they had a better chance of beating him!

I expected them to say what they did in the Primaries! BO knew they were also doing the same.

I think later in the Primaries they started to see the “momentum” building, got scared for the GE and backed off. Thus HRC’s “true Democratic base” became more apparent near the end of the PE., and had it gone on for 5 more states we would have seen a DRAMATIC DROP in Democratic support for BO. Thus…push to close down the PE quick by the DNC!

NOW the GOP’s that pushed to make BO win in Rep. dominated states, have DIARRHEA now…because they could have in effect possibly put this man in the seat of POTUS! How UNTHINKABLE!

“Be careful for what you wish for….you may get much more than you bargained for”

I will borrow the sign the someone held up during Bush’s 2000 inauguration motorcade….”GOD HELP US!”….if BO gets elected.

BUT THAT WON’T HAPPEN>>>>LET”S THINK POSITIVE!

IN FACT , Pumas , while I’m thinking about it , and just to further my argument that Newtons laws are , in fact , inplay in this election cycle , lets further examine , shall we ?? Why , yes . We shall .

First Law : ‘”A particle will stay at rest or continue at a constant velocity unless acted upon by an external unbalanced net force.”
Correlation : Obama’s meteoric rise during the primaries = particle
Pumas inception and action netted Hillary wins in several of the last contests = external unbalanced force

Second Law :” “F = ma: the net force on an object is equal to the mass of the object multiplied by its acceleration.”
Correlation : Obama has very little mass(substance) and therefore his accelerated elevation in the Democratic Party was easily set off balance by the actions taken by various Puma groups . ( remember that his winning the primaries is only an illusion , and , in fact, this Law was in play )

Third Law : “”Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.”
Correlation – PENDING :)

Therefore , Pumas , when considering the outcome of the Presidential Election ,the ONLY logical conclusion is that Obama has pissed in his Chili .
You will now be returned to your regular broadcast .

#112 mick on 10.10.08 at 11:27 am

Goodmorning PUMAs,

The MSM is finally giving attention to the Obama/Ayers connection … better late than never I guess…. but why the hell isn’t anyone giving attention to Obama’s relationship to his mentor, communist Frank Marshall Davis??

http://www.ibdeditorials.com/IBDArticles.aspx?id=302827467707515

I totally agree with Henriette’s post on the other thread. Let’s face it, we are watching our country being taken over by a Socialist Party. The Democratic Party is gone … what’s left of it are really just ‘fellow travelers’. My 75 yr old pop has studied WW2 history extensively, (he served in the Army and was stationed in Germany after WW2), and he believes that Obama is more Communist than Socialist.

This is very wild scary time in our history, our economy is in a total meltdown and we’re about to elect a man for POTUS who is a radical leftist man with ties to a terrorist, a communist, and many other anti-american radicals.

#55Noblecascade: You are not being silly. You are, from this post, sincere of heart and have just gotten a very nasty slap of reality that does not fit in your sincere of heart world view. Remember..almost 9 million Democrats voted for Georgie Poorgie..for President…I have seen and known people to do weird and odd things re their votes…voting for goofy or no reasons…Perhaps now that the right to vote has been so threatened and in some cases crushed, some people may better cherish the fact of its existence and the seriousness of its effects.

#116 mountainsong on 10.10.08 at 11:29 am

My friend and mentor, the Haida chief from Alaska and a Viet Nam vet says, “Tell China to go to hell, they made a bad investment and aren’t GONNA get paid. Tell the Saudis the same thing. Stop everything and start over. Throw Paulson, bernanke, Pelosi, Reid, Brazille, Dean Obama and McCain in prison , line up all the lobbyists and shoot every third one and ask the rest if
they get the message. Burn all the money we’re using now and start alll over, cuz the stuff we got now isn’t worth as much as the ink on it. He says this ‘system’ we have been using is broken and has been for 30 years and cannot be ‘fixed’ so we need to scrap the whole thing and start over, and as soon as we do, the sooner the pain will end for everyone.
It’s scary, because the same message is talked in Veterans’ Support Groups all across the country.

I saw an article back in Feb, 08 at the GOP website about Rove planning with the GOP’s ….
“how to defeat HRC”, at that time the ONLY face on their GOP header website was a LARGE picture of BO, with the heading “Wrong Change For America”. McCain was not there because he wasn’t even a consideration then.

Just got back from running erands. NJ radio was saying that McCain is done. Obama can only fix this financial mess. McCain more of the same. Why can’t Obama just take the high road and let McCain fall. Give me a break. They think that polling a few thousand people dictates the mood of the country? I hope John keeps digging and bring it to light until election day and it makes people think. I emailed JMC that he should tell the lower and middle class people just what BO did with money when he was handed it in Chicago re: the slums (funneling money to Rezko) and the Annenberg Challenge re: squandering $100 mil (funneling money to Acorn and other community services) when the schools ended up worse than before. he cannot be trusted with finances! That is where McCain has to go. He IS NOT for the middle class. People can see the results for themselves that each time he was given responsibility, he FAILED. how do they think he will do anything more than line the pockets of the already rich Demoncrats?

This is public radio???

PS=Did anyone see the clip on american thinker from BO’s website that said, underlined that the “truth” is that he has never worked for ACORN and never represented them? Building on your science lesson today:

O=mc2

For the lay PUMAs, Obama=maximum crap, squared!

We all have a CCA, think of it as our personal Coefficient of Crap Absorption.

PUMAs, blessed as we are with a low CCA, were able to see through The One and his bombastic bullcrap sooner than folks with a higher CCA.

Since intelligence is inversely proportional to CCA, it is our PUMA responsibility to highlight the O-crap for those who are more susceptible to it.

Right, Mama?

Supposedly this weekend on radio there are going to be two explosive reports. one is Hannity having Corsi on and what he found in Africa before he was deported. The other is another author who has documents showing Obama was adopted and an Indonesian citizen which would preclude him from being our president. Keep praying!

Obama tried to sway Iraqis on Bush deal

Washington Times
Friday, October 10, 2008
Barbara Slavin
EXCLUSIVE:

At the same time the Bush administration was negotiating a still elusive agreement to keep the U.S. military in Iraq, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama tried to convince Iraqi leaders in private conversations that the president shouldn’t be allowed to enact the deal without congressional approval.

Mr. Obama’s conversations with the Iraqi leaders, confirmed to The Washington Times by his campaign aides, began just two weeks after he clinched the Democratic presidential nomination in June and stirred controversy over the appropriateness of a White House candidate’s contacts with foreign governments while the sitting president is conducting a war.

Some of the specifics of the conversations remain the subject of dispute. Iraqi leaders purported to The Times that Mr. Obama urged Baghdad to delay an agreement with Mr. Bush until next year when a new president will be in office – a charge the Democratic campaign denies.

Mr. Obama spoke June 16 to Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari when he was in Washington, according to both the Iraqi Embassy in Washington and the Obama campaign. Both said the conversation was at Mr. Zebari’s request and took place on the phone because Mr. Obama was traveling.

However, the two sides differ over what Mr. Obama said.

“In the conversation, the senator urged Iraq to delay the [memorandum of understanding] between Iraq and the United States until the new administration was in place,” said Samir Sumaidaie, Iraq’s ambassador to the United States.

He said Mr. Zebari replied that any such agreement would not bind a new administration. “The new administration will have a free hand to opt out,” he said the foreign minister told Mr. Obama.

Mr. Sumaidaie did not participate in the call, he said, but stood next to Mr. Zebari during the conversation and was briefed by him immediately afterward.

The call was not recorded by either side, and Mr. Zebari did not respond to repeated telephone and e-mail messages requesting direct comment.

Mr. Obama has called for a phased U.S. withdrawal of all but a residual force from Iraq over 16 months, a position the Iraqi government appears to have embraced.

U.S. and Iraqi officials have been struggling for months to finalize a deal that will allow U.S. troops to remain after Dec. 31, when a U.N. mandate sanctioning the military presence expires. Iraqi officials have said that the main impediment is agreement over a timeline for U.S. redeployment and immunity from Iraqi prosecution for U.S. troops and civilians.

Obama campaign spokeswoman Wendy Morigi said Mr. Obama does not object to a short-term status of forces agreement, or SOFA.

Mr. Obama told Mr. Zebari in June that a SOFA “should be completed before January and it must include immunity for U.S. troops,” Miss Morigi wrote in an e-mail.

However, the Democratic nominee said a broader strategic framework agreement governing a longer-term U.S. presence in Iraq “should be vetted by Congress,” she wrote.

She said Mr. Obama said the same thing when he met in July with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and Mr. Zebari in Baghdad.

A recent article in the New York Post quoted Mr. Zebari as saying that Mr. Obama asked Iraqi leaders in July to delay any agreement on a reduction of U.S. troops in Iraq until the next U.S. president takes office.

Miss Morigi denied this. She said the request for Senate vetting was bipartisan and noted that the first Obama-Zebari conversation took place 12 days after four other members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee – including Republican Sens. Richard G. Lugar of Indiana and Chuck Hagel of Nebraska – wrote to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates urging consultation over any agreements committing U.S. troops and civilian contractors to Iraq “for an extended period of time.”

When Mr. Obama spoke to Mr. Zebari, he was speaking in his capacity as a senator and a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Miss Morigi said. “It’s obvious that others are trying to mischaracterize Obama’s position, [but] on numerous occasions he has made it perfectly clear that the United States only has one president at a time and that the administration speaks with one voice.”

Sen. Jack Reed, a Rhode Island Democrat who accompanied Mr. Obama in Iraq along with Mr. Hagel, said they made “no suggestion of any type of delay” in any agreements.

A congressional aide who was also present and spoke on the condition of anonymity said the senators asked for a congressional role similar to that required by the Iraqi Constitution for Iraq’s parliament.

Still, the fact that the Illinois Democrat on June 3 clinched enough delegates to be assured the Democratic presidential nomination gives his comments special force – something that also applies to the Republican nominee, Sen. John McCain of Arizona, a key proponent of the surge of extra U.S. forces to Iraq last year.

As a U.S. senator, Mr. Obama “has a foot in both camps,” said Ross K. Baker, a professor of political science at Rutgers University. “It’s within the jurisdiction of his committee and something he’s entitled to speak about. It doesn’t raise a red flag for me.”

White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe declined to comment on the matter.

Leslie Phillips, a press officer at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad, also declined to comment even though an embassy note-taker was present during the senators’ meeting in Iraq. “The embassy’s role is purely to facilitate the meetings,” she said.

Presidential nominees traditionally have not intervened personally in foreign-policy disputes, although campaign surrogates have done so.

Historian Robert Dallek has documented meetings with South Vietnamese diplomats in 1968 by Republican vice-presidential candidate Spiro Agnew and Anna Chennault, widow of Gen. Claire Chennault, the commander of “Flying Tiger” forces in China during World War II.

Mr. Dallek, author of “Flawed Giant: Lyndon Johnson and His Times 1961-1973,” obtained tapes of the conversations from bugs the Johnson administration had placed in the South Vietnamese Embassy in Washington.

Negotiations to end the Vietnam War were taking place in Paris at the time between the Johnson administration and the North and South Vietnamese.

Mr. Agnew and Mrs. Chennault “signaled the South Vietnamese that they would get a better deal with Richard Nixon as president instead of the Democrat” Hubert Humphrey, Mr. Dallek said.

“Johnson was furious and said that Nixon was guilty of treason,” Mr. Dallek said, but neither he nor Mr. Humphrey disclosed the matter before the election, which Mr. Nixon won.

PUMAS….Washinton Post…big MSM talking about this!!!!!

I think you are making some excellent points. Many of BO’s supporters fit into the categories of people BO has screwed over in Chicago with his slumlord deals and connections, crooked ACORN dealings, cutting off his black opponents in his early Chicago elections at the knees, etc. Maybe it’s time the word really got out just what this man is really gonna do for them, i.e. screw them over royally? Not only is he going to rob Paul, but he’s also gonna rob Peter to pay none other than O-B-A-M-A and all his rich cronies, out there now salivating at the prospect of using OUR money to bail themselves out and then buying up everything in sight for bargain basement prices….

There may be an economic crisis, but in the back of my mind, I can’t help but wonder if this isn’t another great, big manipulated fraud, designed to scare the living daylights out of people, so they panic, vote for Obama, the “change” candidate who makes them feel warm and fuzzy inside, with his soothing voice, his easy solution for everything (just vote for him). And while they’re panicking they sell all their stock, take all their money out of their investments and the value of everything TANKs, making a wonderful “FALL CLEARANCE SALE/ ALL INVENTORY MUST GO! BUY NOW!” sale for all his rich backers and corrupt political hacks.

I think some flyers and mailings designed exclusively for people who’ve been screwed over by BO’s Chicago deals and who ARE going to suffer the biggest disappointments when he does it to them again if his “Dreams of His Father” materialize.

Hey, by the way, wasn’t his father a Communist? (Hmpft, I never thought of that before, but maybe Obama’s book, “Dreams of My Father,” has a subtle meaning I never realized before….. Very scary thought).

so much for the power and prestige of the office of the presidency..
the presidency has been degraded and cheapened to the point where it has become nothing more than a glorified version of “american idol”..
the president has taken on the role of white house “greeter” and “pr” person… the real power lies in the committee that pulls the strings of the president..with GW it was the leo straussian neo-cons.. with an obama it would be zbignew brezhinkis tri-lateral commission and george soros “open society” foundation..

Did you know you can check campaign contributions at this site?

http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/search_donor.php

In just half an hour I came up with 3 people that have donated over $4,600.
John Anderson of WA.—7,744.00
James Anderson Wilmington NC—5,498.00
Linda Anderson—7,300

You have to be careful as some people have been given refunds farther down on the page-still it doesn’t seem that complicated. You would really think the BO campaign could handle this……………if they really wanted to.

#183 lilibet on 10.10.08 at 12:16 pm

Sorry Ario, to disagree slightly with you. Yes, the DNC, with Obama’s fraud, has the greatest responsibility in Hillary’s defeat. However the GOP was always there in the background. The first time that I recognized it was in the Wisconsin primary. Even the Governor of Wisconsin, an Obama supporter, told Obama that it didn’t look too good for him. Lo and behold, on election day the Republicans in droves turned out and voted for Obama, something that was repeated in other states.

I have asked Freddie for flyers to distribute. Unfortunately I do not get out much. When I do, straight across the street, the guy has literally 6 voting signs on his lawn including BO and every other democrat.

I disagree with some who say vote no at the top but vote democrat the rest. I think we should vote all republican. they need to have a say. If they get their way, which they very well might, they will have a fillubuster proof majority in the house, senate and of course maybe the presidency. If that happens, all of BO’s liberal left wing nut ideas (including all the secret deals and pork money for their corrupt causes like they tried to slip funding for ACORN into the bail out) will pass through unchecked. Supreme court judges? Passed through without question. Tax hikes that will miracously have to be done right after a democrat takes office? Passed. Who is going to raise a flag? And what is anybody going to do if the MSM is in the tank?

we need to vote for the repubs just to keep someone in the hen house. I am registered dem but am seeing the true makeup of my party and getting scared. really, really scared. What if they passed an amendment through to increase the size of the supreme court? What if they voted to increase term limits? who will stop them? Unless our prayers are answered and McC wins, we are in a whole heap of trouble in this country.

This page led me to a very informative page updating the Berg lawsuit brought upon Obama. I found it of particular interest the final paragraphs on Berg’s response to the Obama’s /DNC protective order. This protective order persuasively and legally states 8 grounds that Obama lacks the necessary proof that entitles him and the DNC to hide behind this motion. This is recent documentation that was filed (from what I gather in the article) yesterday, October 9th, 2008. This article can be found here:

MIck and Carrie and Murphy: Yeah..Esplanade Ave..In the 19th century, the street on which the older French and Spanish New Orleanians lived, as distinguished from the “Americans”
who built and lived on St Charles Avenue…Regarding the Port of Call and its magnificent hamburgers…in the 70s at about 3 in the morning after a night running around, and after three weeks boycott of meat (I have no idea who had called that boycott and why, but I did it…) all of a sudden I became ravenous for MEAT…give me MEAT…I drove immediately to the Port of Call and went home satiated…finished with my social protest and content! Yes, the DNC, with Obama’s fraud, has the greatest responsibility in Hillary’s defeat. However the GOP was always there in the background.
Lo and behold, on election day the Republicans in droves turned out and voted for Obama, something that was repeated in other states.
————
If the Republicans helped end Hillary in the election and if those same Repubs are now going to vote for McCain, plus PUMA vote…………why would obie be ahead in the polls?

This makes no sense to me even if PUMAs are counted as Democrats voting for obie in the polls. Either there were really few Repubs that voted for Obie back then or more reason to believe the poll like the MSM, DNC are frauds.

Alert: Ohio Secretary of State to appeal judges ruling.

“Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner is breaking federal law by not giving county elections boards the chance to determine whether new voter registrations are fraudulent, a federal judge ruled this evening.

“It is hard to imagine a public interest more compelling than safeguarding the legitimacy of the election of the president of the United States,” said Judge George C. Smith of U.S. District Court in Columbus in upholding the Ohio Republican Party’s request for a court order.

Brunner’s office said she is filing an immediate appeal with the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

Smith, appointed by President Reagan, said the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) requires states not only to verify the addresses and other identifying information provided by newly registered voters with the state Bureau of Motor Vehicles and the federal Social Security Administration, but also to provide counties with the names of new voters whose records did not match.

Brunner’s office had been doing the computerized verification, but the GOP argued that Brunner had not made the names available to county elections boards. The judge gave her a week to comply.

The judge said he lacked the authority to order the counties to clean up the voter rolls once they had the list, but he noted that Ohio law permits challenges to absentee ballots.”

If McCain comes out with it, BO will get to lie to millions of Americans on national TV. McCain has to have hard facts to back it up like that he wrote the forward in Ayer’s book in 1999. Someone needs to produce a picture or event that they were at together speaking. McCain can bring up Rezko, too, which BO admitted was “boneheaded.” How about the Iranian woman working on Obama’s campaign? You know the MSM will blast McCain for ‘desperate measures’ as they always do. Something needs to come out that is unarguable. Is that a word?

#232 ladyhawkke on 10.10.08 at 12:57 pm

#215 Stardust I posted and read the intervenor’s petition yesterday and I am having doubts about whether this lawsuit will go anywhere. As I stated, this is a strange statement: 53. Along with his mother, the Defendant entered into the US under the guise that they were citizens of the US using their old passportswith an egregious, intentional, and illegal failure to report that while in Indonesia they had lost their US Citizenship and US Nationality citizenship status by voluntarily relinquishing US Citizenship and self declaring themselves to be citizens of the Indonesia, not the United States for a protracted period of time.

Can you actually re-enter the US after so many years with an OLD passport? If so, there must be records that they were detained or had to sign some documents to re-enter. And what old passports? Did BO have an old US passport?

Osaka-what does that mean? I am not up with the articles of the constitution or whatever you are quoting. I need more coffee today. Brain is mushy.

This is from Obama’s trip to Iraq:

While not shaking hands with foreign heads of states does not disqualify one to run for any office, The Logan Act (est. 1799) makes it a crime for a citizen to confer with foreign governments against the interests of the United States. Specifically, it prohibits citizens from negotiating with other nations on behalf of the United States without authorization.

That is exactly what Obama did during his trip to Iraq, a charge that Obama’s national security spokeswoman Wendy Morigi confirmed, while trying to deny it. She said, “In fact, Obama had told the Iraqis that they should not rush through a ‘Strategic Framework Agreement’ governing the future of US forces until after President George W. Bush leaves office.”

This is high treason. Ordinary citizens have no right to enter into negotiations with foreign countries and make deals against the interest of their Government. Obama tells the Iraqis not to let the American soldiers go, so he can call them in January, supposedly when he is the president and claim victory for himself. Will Mr. Gibson or anyone in the liberal media question Obama for this crime?

Impeachment is great but who will help with that? There are going to be mostly demoncrats in the house and senate and the government will work for Obama. We will be totally outnumbered.

We have to stop him before it gets to that. If secret service are already knocking on people’s doors for saying they will never vote for him, what will it be like if you try to impeach the nut or blog about him? Will emails be monitored? That is why Bush’s FISA law is scary-it gives broad access to one person. I think Nobama signed it and took the heat because he would like to use it if he gets in.

Missouri officials suspect fake voter registration
By BILL DRAPER – 1 day ago

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Officials in Missouri, a hard-fought jewel in the presidential race, are sifting through possibly hundreds of questionable or duplicate voter-registration forms submitted by an advocacy group that has been accused of election fraud in other states.

Charlene Davis, co-director of the election board in Jackson County, where Kansas City is, said the fraudulent registration forms came from the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN. She said they were bogging down work Wednesday, the final day Missourians could register to vote.

“I don’t even know the entire scope of it because registrations are coming in so heavy,” Davis said. “We have identified about 100 duplicates, and probably 280 addresses that don’t exist, people who have driver’s license numbers that won’t verify or Social Security numbers that won’t verify. Some have no address at all.”

The nonpartisan group works to recruit low-income voters, who tend to lean Democratic. Most polls show Republican presidential candidate John McCain with an edge in bellwether Missouri, but Democrat Barack Obama continues to put up a strong fight.

Jess Ordower, Midwest director of ACORN, said his group hasn’t done any registrations in Kansas City since late August. He said he was told three weeks ago by election officials that there were only about 135 questionable cards — 85 of them duplicates.

“They keep telling different people different things,” he said. “They gave us a list of 130, then told someone else it was 1,000.”

FBI spokeswoman Bridget Patton said the agency has been in contact with elections officials about potential voter fraud and plans to investigate.

“It’s a matter we take very seriously,” Patton said. “It is against the law to register someone to vote who does not fall within the parameters to vote, or to put someone on there falsely.”

On Tuesday, authorities in Nevada seized records from ACORN after finding fraudulent registration forms that included the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys.

In April, eight ACORN workers in St. Louis city and county pleaded guilty to federal election fraud for submitting false registration cards for the 2006 election. U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway said they submitted cards with false addresses and names, and forged signatures.

Ordower said Wednesday that ACORN registered about 53,500 people in Missouri this year. He believes his group is being targeted because some politicians don’t want that many low-income people having a voice.

“It’s par for the course,” he said. “When you’re doing more registrations than anyone else in the country, some don’t want low-income people being empowered to vote. There are pretty targeted attacks on us, but we’re proud to be out there doing the patriotic thing getting people registered to vote.”

Republicans are among ACORN’s loudest critics. At a campaign stop in Bethlehem, Pa., supporters of John McCain interrupted his remarks Wednesday by shouting, “No more ACORN.”

Debbie Mesloh, spokeswoman for the Obama campaign in Missouri, said in an e-mailed statement that the campaign supported any investigation of possible fraud.

According to its national Web site, the group has registered 1.3 million people nationwide for the Nov. 4 election. It also has encountered complaints of fraud stemming from registration efforts in Wisconsin, New Mexico, Nevada and battleground states like Michigan, Ohio and North Carolina, where new voter registrations have favored Democrats nearly 4 to 1 since the beginning of this year.

Missouri offers 11 electoral votes; the presidential candidates need at least 270 to win the election.

Afternoon all,
Several interesting stories are floating around today, but I’m swamped with work, so I will need to catch up over the weekend. Here’s a quick article on BO’s dull strategy to end the election weeks before election day.
——————————-
“Obama Inevitability Plays Out as a Dull Rerun”

“Now, Obama’s handlers are claiming that their candidate is bound to be a certain winner on election day. Just look at the polls! While you’re looking be sure to ignore those other polls that show McCain creeping within striking distance of Obama. By the way, forget about voting on election day. Haven’t you heard the election is all over. Obama has already won three and a half weeks before the polling places open their doors.

Thousands of new voter registration cards collected by ACORN have turned the tide as Elvis Presley, Bugs Bunny and Daffy Ducky have been added to the polling lists. If their registrations aren’t challenged successfully by the disenfranchising bullies in the
Republican party, these bona fide voters will all be requesting absentee ballots.”

254 osaka puma More like civil anarchy.
What’s up with these people? What? What are they even talking about? Portfolios? Did they even go to school? Don’t they know that if you can’t hold your money, your wealth in your own hands, then you don’t have any?
Clear up til I turned 21, people paid cash for everything. A house was worth exactly what you paid for it and it was yours, not some banks. Same with cars.
People are so brainwashed into thinking if they have ‘good credit’ and lots of goodies, then they are rich. When, in truth, they are debtors, the lowest class citizens in the world.
I feel incredible sadness, having watched my fellow citizens be reduced to slavery by this ‘system’.
Anything vaguely resembling ‘wealth’ has already been harvested…from them. And if there is a solution, only God knows what it is.
Anything a person ‘owes’ on can be taken away from them,eg, foreclosures, repossessions.
Last night I had dinner with my mentor and his girlfriend. Some years ago, she inherited a fortune.
Thinking it was the ‘thing to do’ to plan for her ‘retirement’, she invested a couple million. Last night she was on the verge of nervous breakdown, because in the last 2 weeks, all that money just disappeared. I feel so bad for her, but there really is nothing she can do about it. The crime has been committed.
But, a revolution costs $$ Osaka. Bullets don’t grow on trees. In order to move from point to point requires some method of transport. Truck, motorcycle (gas, etc) or horses (hay & grain)
It all takes money.
We have been duped. Credit markets require customers. In the 70′s lots of people maxed out their credit, lost their jobs and couldn’t restore credit because they were a risk. So the government relaxed immigration control and millions of people were allowed into the country. They got jobs, and ended up borrowing more $$ which kept the system afloat.
But, in the 80′s/90′s we hit the back side of the curve and now we have TOO MANY PEOPLE for the system to provide for so the system broke.
If you give it some honest thought, the logical outcome isn’t very difficult to perceive.

All I saw on Fox was that Obama is supposedly gaining with women indpendent voters. Who are these people and why aren’t they awake?

They are technically awake, but possess extraordinarily high Coefficients of Crap Absorption. Our job is education and enlightenment:

O=mc2

Obama=maximum crap, squared!

We all have a CCA, think of it as our personal Coefficient of Crap Absorption — which reflects the amount of crap we can absorb before holding our normal-sized ears and screaming, “ENOUGH WITH THE CRAP, ALREADY!!”

PUMAs, blessed as we are with low CCA’s, were able to see through The One and his bombastic bullcrap sooner than folks with a higher CCA.

Since intelligence is inversely proportional to CCA, it is our PUMA responsibility to highlight the O-crap for those who are more susceptible to it.

278 kids1627 It’s been my understanding that Rhodes Scholars attend Oxford University fore the sole purpose of studying economics and the socialization and globalization of the world.
Bill Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar. When everyone was either going to Viet Nam or protesting viet Nam, Clinton was actually doing an internship for his Oxford degree…..in Moscow.
It’s not really a big stretch to see why he supports Obama and is otherwise silent. And Hillary is his ‘wife’. Their plans arew unfolding just as they were planned 30-40 years ago.
This is very serious business and, if this election farce isn’t halted before it happens, they WILL succeed in socializing America.

Did anyone see John Stossel on Fox this morning? He interviewed college kids who had recently registered to vote and asked them to identify candidates by their pictures. Many couldn’t but knew Judge Judy’s pic. He asked them issues and they had no idea. He said it was a testament against making it too easy to vote. he said people should have to do foot work to vote and have the desire to vote so that they are truly informed voters, not these ‘casual voters’ who vote for whoever some celebrity tell them to vote for. I agree!

I have been told the same thing! My friend told me I am brainwashed and only listening to conservative talking points. She said the Ayers thing was brought up in the primaries by Hillary and debunked and now McC is trying to rev it up again. I said he never addressed it. He said we are neighbors, that’s all and the MSM gave him a pass. THAT is not addressing it. If he came out with everything then we could believe him, but as soon as something is out he white washes it or scrubs the website and its gone. Very 1984ish. Many people during the revolutionary times sat and ignored the warnings too until it was infringing on their way of life. Then all of the sudden the redcoats were seen for what they were- oppressors.
Thankfully women see it clearly, at least at this PUMA site. We are hearing bad things about McC too but he has been vetted and has admitted some things honestly, not re-written history!

Sleeper Cell: ACORN, Obama, and the Housing Crisis
http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/10/10/sleeper-cell-acorn-obama-and-the-housing-crisis/#more-5348

Well, ya gotta read this, and look at the old school photo of Obama sitting down and meeting with ACORN.

Obama is such a LIAR! Lies about everything.

#304 mountainsong on 10.10.08 at 1:45 pm

People need to be keenly obsevant, and frugal. It’s not a time to be buying. If you have money, or barter goods, hang onto it. It can get much worse, very quickly. If you do not have a faith to cling to, then be VERY worried. And admit it. Denial will not feed you.

Mick, I’ve been saying this now for 20 years. Finally, people are listening.

McCain please put it in real terms what “most liberal” and ‘socialism” so the average American worker understands what that could mean to them and their lives.

When John McCain says things like this country will be a “socialist” country if nobo gets in or nobo has the most “liberal record” in the country, I wish he would add one or two sentences explaining what that means to everyday people and how they will be impacted. I believe many many people don’t quite understands what that means. For example, most everything will be gvernment-controlled — where your kids go to school to the potential that everyone will required to do some sort of public service — healthy or not, etc. The money for social programs will come from you, either through much higher taxes on you, your businesses and you will be required to contribute a certain amount of your income no matter what. Just my perception of some of the impacts of having nobo in office.

#317 ruffo on 10.10.08 at 1:56 pm

McC has to hammer Nobama on his abortion stance and he has to get Biden saying something either agreeing (and losing the Catholic vote for good) or disagreeing so that they are divided. Obama would let babies die after a botched abortion. Obama wants to take off restrictions; do democrats OR republicans want their underage daughters having abortions without parental consent? I do not understand how that could ever be legal when as parents we are responsible for our children’s healthcare and bills until they are 18. If they are 15 geting abortions w/o our consent and something happens to them physically or psychologically, who foots the bill after that? The parents of course but then why wouldn’t we have to consent to that operation?
That is the most left wing liberal thing he does. McCain has to run that clip of the nurse talking about how he let the babies die. Horrible as it is, it strikes home even if you believe in abortion (which I do not).

Breaking News 11:39 AM ET: Connecticut State Supreme Court Overturns Ban on Same-Sex Marriage

I’m not sure if you are for or against same sex marriage. Sounded at first you were proud that your “little state” was the first to marry gays to each other.I don’t echo your pride in Eastern values if that’s the case.

There are physical defects in some births just as there are mental ones.

From a biological standpoint gays were born with a mental defect in that they don’t have the inborn inclination of liking the opposite sex for passionate fulfillment.

But don’t get me wrong. We as a society should understand, accept and help those who were born with an irregular physical or mental form.

As for same sex marriage… I was raised under an older Victorian value system therefore find two of the same sex “romancing” each other a cringing concept, a gagging offense. I’m not comfortable with same sex marriage and the values they convey to adapted children and the rest of society.

I think it’s far more normal for a man to be aroused by a beautifully naked woman during the state of holy matrimony for the purpose of making life the way God intended.

In a perfect world what you say is true. Sadly, there are some kids who live in horrendous lives and have terrible vicious parents/step-parents. A kid coming home and telling their parent they are pregnant could mean brutal beatings for a very long time. I agree they need guidance and support and need to have that in a protective way. I just am saying there are exceptional situations to every story and in rare cases some parents are the least ones you can rely on and aren’t as loving and caring as most parents.

I am not defending one side or the other, just saying there are times where a kid only has a choice of keeping themselves alive or have them and their baby brutalized which is far worse.

Arms And the Man

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun…”
–Barack Obama

“Of arms and the man I sing…”
–Virgil, Aeneid I, 1

Of arms and the man now, like Virgil I sing,
Who a gun to a fight once boasted he’d bring,
If that’s how it’s done on Chicago’s south side,
With him may my country never collide.

If they bring a knife, he said, we bring a gun,
Let not his language shock you, or stun,
If to a rumble a campaign he compared,
Or to employ such metaphors dared.

Of arms and the man with alacrity sing,
And every device of poetry bring,
Lest any part of the cause of his fame
Fail to be met with the highest acclaim.

Your unemployment problem may be resolved,
For Barack will not let you stay uninvolved,
Barack “will require you to work,” we were told,
To declare which, his spouse herself has made bold.

Tell me, was it mere powder or crack
That made you indenture yourself to Barack?
What’s yours now be his; and what’s his be his too,
If for him you voted, this be your due.

The ancient poet, if now he were alive
Some means or other would surely contrive
To ask the Muses what fortune or curse
In such disaster this land could immerse,

Like Communist countries we had once mocked,
And by whose propaganda were shocked,
Whose masses once looked less living than dead,
Proclaiming in song that the East is now Red.

And now, O Great Leader, I’m talking to you:
That there are neither red states nor blue
But only the United States, you declaimed,
For which assertions I did not have you blamed,

Some fans of yours can speak only of race,
Themselves with calumnious words they disgrace,
The color I see isn’t black– only red,
The color of blood of a baby who’s dead.

Its death had been planned for its own mother’s womb,
But when it escaped from the preordained tomb,
It was to be left in a closet to die,
The poet knows not where this victim may lie,

Such were the children you would not protect,
Lest you lose the slightest of NARAL’s respect,
Of blood I now sing, and the pallor of death,
And children who now have drawn their last breath.

Of arms and the man, and the crack of a gun
Of violence, by which the land’s overrun
Of a country now by evil beguiled,
Of a deadly knife applied to a child,

Of terror connections swept under rugs,
Of death threats and goons and internet thugs,
Of lies and of slander and friendships destroyed,
And everywhere treacherous agents deployed,

Of aberrant policies skewed to the left,
Of fraud and coercion and caucusing theft,
Of all of these and of more shall I sing,
Maledictions which to my country you bring.

By your own actions I show what you’ve earned,
That you be loved, or that you be spurned,
For your office now deign to show some respect,
Each human life to the weakest protect.

Of arms and the man, and the blood on your hands,
I sing– the damnation your behavior demands,
Change your heart now; change your policies too,
A nation’s healing at last let ensue.

Yeah, the capital gains tax will hit the older folks badly who try to sell their houses to move into retirement homes, or young couples needing a bigger home. Right now its like 15% which is enough, imagine it is 28-30 as he promised, of the gains you make selling your house? That is 1/3 to the government. That is also going to suppress the market.

I do not understand why these Hollywood types are all for Obama. They are not that into the poor, believe me , unless its to get them to the movies. They have a deal from BO I am sure that their money is protected. There was something in the bail out bill before it was revised, something like $20 mill to Hollywood producers for public service announcements. How can they need that money? There is something promised to them or they would not be so generous.

Right now you can sell a home up to 500,000 as long as you have lived in it for two years no tax

maxgrader #341 — I most certainly AM proud of my state for being the first in the nation to make gay marriage legal.

very very proud.

gay people are not defective in any way.

everything’s a damn mutation.

red hair.

green eyes.

long legs.

friendliness.

there is compelling biological evidence that homosexuality is genetically adaptive — that it increases the stability and longterm success of a society, by freeing some number of adults from competition for reproductive mates, as well as freeing them from the work and demands of raising offspring.

A society in which a certain percentage of the adults are NOT competing for mates and are available to work, hunt, fight, and care for the young is more likely to succeed than one in which its every parent for herself.

So a child with 2 parents, a gay aunt, and a gay uncle will have a LOT more resources than a child with only 2 parents.

Kids1627=
My sister in law in NJ sold her house for 400,000 and had to pay capital gains taxes of 15%. Does Jersey have different rule? That hit her hard, but at least it wasn’t 30%. She had until the end of the year to pay it. It was in the 10s of thousands. I will have to check whether it is by state or nation wide. I think NJ is communist already b/c of their gun laws. LOL

She lived there 5 yrs by the way.

#362 kids1627 on 10.10.08 at 2:35 pm

Ruff I sold my house two years ago it has to be a primary house and you have to live in it for two years and did not pay taxes they said if I sold this house befor two years and for more than 500,00 I would have to pay tax on anything over the five.

#363 kids1627 on 10.10.08 at 2:36 pm

sorry 500,000

Hey BO is in Philly today and in his latest spin, now is saying that he thought that Ayers had been rehabilitated. He thought that since Annenberg was a friend of Ronald Reagan and was run by conservatives that they would have made sure Ayers was rehabd. Okay now is he trying to tie himself to Reagan? Hate to tell him but Reagan is dead and so probably is the person who originally funded the foundation. The Annenberg Challenge was pushing a Radical LIBERAL way to reorganize the Chicago schools and it FAILED. It had nothing to do with conservatism. Does he think that conservative people would choose an American bomber and a far left liberal to run a freakin’ conservative project? Does he think we are stupid?

The Regional Moderators sent out a “broadcast” about your flyers… I bet that had something to do with the surge (another word I’ve come to dislike).

Breaking News 11:39 AM ET: Connecticut State Supreme Court Overturns Ban on Same-Sex Marriage
———

Great! Now we have three states!

Let’s just make sure Californians vote NO on 8 to preserve marriage equality here.

I have gay friends who have gotten married since it became legal here and it would be horrible and very demeaning to take that away from them!

#367 ruffo on 10.10.08 at 2:42 pm

By the way Kids- What state are you in? That is great that you didn’t have to pay that cap gains. As I said my husband’s sister did. I hope she didn’t get ripped off, but she did pay it because she didn’t buy and sell in the same transaction (she lived in an apt for 1 month) and so she had to pay it. Oh I rememeber, she bought for less than she sold for. So maybe she paid on the difference??

I live in Ohio and checked my email last night too late to join in on the conference call for the Ohio bus tour. They have not answered my email about the call yet, so can you give me an idea of what was decided? Thanks.

Rabblerouser #12, your description of Hillary at the convention:
“When she was brought down the aisle at that convention surrounded by all those Senators now supporting BO and calling for unity, it reminded me of a head of state who had been overthrown being led to the guillotine.”
You put into words exactly what I thought when I saw that. That one single moment in time was the last straw for me. I felt like she was being made to bend over and take it. And guess what? PUMA’s AREN’T GONNA TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!!!

Has anyone tried to get on Savage Politics tonight?
Yesterday someone said that he was closed down for the Jewish Holiday but that wasn’t it. He said when I was there this morning that the site crashed and he had to get a bigger server today. Now I can’t get on again. Must be the obots.
