The Stop the Obama Constiutitional Crisis Petition at

http://www.rallycongress.com/constitutional-qualification/1244/

has about 520 signatures and 999 e-mail and letters sent.

The Petition is about the Berg law suit and urges Congress to ensure that a court determine Obama’s citizenship. I think it’s good to inform Congress of all the doubts Americans have about Obama – so sign up if you haven’t already!

I just got an email from a friend that said no one is asking foreigners for proof of citizenship when they register to vote in Fairfax County VA. The Democratic supervisor in the register’s office was standing over her employees to make sure they did not ask foreign registrants whether they were citizens. Unbelievable!

I need names!

Just listening to Obot’s voice last night grated on my nerves. I have never been able to listen to his voice since as far back before I even knew of his policies. He goes off on a tangent and I have NO idea what the heck he is saying. To avoid answering a question he takes you off into something that has NO significance and I find myself going HUH???

McCain came over as usual as the more experienced and trusted person to run this country, I just don’t know if that’s enough for him to win.

#16 slyt2 on 10.08.08 at 8:36 am

What I don’t understand is if they know ACORN has ties to voter fraud (they commit it) and have proof in the past , why can’t they just shut ACORN down now. It seems so easy to me if you know they are doing illegal stuff and they have proof even from last times election (2004) then just shut them down…

REPOST FROM DOWNSTAIRS:
Before I go play my match, I called the Judge handling the Berg case. I don’t think anyone else should call as he might get annoyed. But I conveyed my concerns about the motion to dismiss not being ruled upon quickly with so many questions about Obama’s BC. I was a legal secy for 47 years so I was able to relay my concerns and also the fact that attorneys and judges tend to sit on things that need action. She told me she would relay my concerns to the judge. Irregardless of whether the Motion to Dismiss is granted or denied, be ready for an appeal to the District Court of Appeal which could take forever. I was involved in a case and went all the way to the Supreme Court, which I won. I am just an average person who won’t give up. However, on my side, my boss was an appellate attorney so I had him going to court for me even as I was preparing most of the documents with his help.

#28 slyt2 on 10.08.08 at 8:56 am

http://elections.foxnews.com/ vote if you want , I guess you can vote as many times as you want , I wish they would fix that . But this is why I don’t trust any polls plus I don’t know ONE person who has ever got a call about who they are voting for. I’ve gotten calls from one candidate or another but never these gallop polls or the others that are suppose to be unbiased.

#29 ladyhawkke on 10.08.08 at 8:56 am

To clarify, I spoke to the judge’s secretary.

#30 Henerietta on 10.08.08 at 8:58 am

When Acorn got caught here in Indiana, they scrammed. They turned in thousands of bogus registrations, especially in the Gary and Indianapolis areas, and then POOF they left. When the authorities came to get them, their offices were closed and their phones all turned off.

Why? Indiana will slap you with a felony charge if you do illegal registrations or any of the other funny stuff. The state and county election officials have the right and the responsibility to ban groups like ACORN from further registration activity, and have done so many times in the past. If all other states would crack down, ACORN and people like them would go away.

I have worked in Democratic voter registration drives many times, and I always knew the rules, and that they are enforced. ACORN better not come back here, the authorities will not renew their credentials.

#31 DeepSouth on 10.08.08 at 8:58 am

Tunedin….I signed and sent the emails. At the top of the emails I said that my vote for them would depend on how hard they fought to make sure Obama came up with the proof he is legally qualified to be president.

#32 mick on 10.08.08 at 8:59 am

Ario,

I just don’t get why we can’t all get a FREE voter picture I.D. when we register to vote. Then when we vote we can either show the ID or our drivers lic. where it can be validated at the assigned polling place.

Of course, we would still have the issue of no ID is used for early absentee voting.

#33 Lorey on 10.08.08 at 8:59 am

Are we going to do something to try to change the outcome of the election? Or are we simply going to watch the enemy within win and destroy the country.

I have spent all morning writing to my best friend trying to convince her to take off the Obama button and just investigate him like the lournalist that she is .. We have been best friends since we were young , we are God parents to each other’s children , and we haven’t spoken for months .
If this were any other candidate , maybe someone who was less well spoken or less attractive , this brilliant woman would have DESTROYED his history and his credibility . She would be uncovering so much on him that Fox would put her on their payroll .
She is a literary genius and unbelievably opinionated and I KNOW if she would just find out half of what we know about Obama , she would expose him for the corrupt, lying , devious ,facade of a leader he is …
I don’t know if she will even read my e-mail , but , if she does , and if she does the research that I know she can do , she will be over here running circles around me on this board ….
I think I’ll light a candle about it .. :)

Yeah, you’re right, the dude needs to put a line over the O.

Although, I doubt that the Obots would want to wear it, his supporters are offended and upset over McCain calling him ‘That One’.

#45 Henerietta on 10.08.08 at 9:06 am

Last night on CNN, there were several people in their ‘undecided’ group who said the Bill Ayers connection might stop them from voting for Obama. This tells me that exposing that aspect of Obama is effective.

I think an election is something like sitting on a jury. If you have one candidate about which you have no doubts about, and another that you have many doubts about, whether it be competence, or integrity, or policy, then you will be more prone to vote for the one about whom you have less doubts. What McCain has to do is instill DOUBT about Obama in the minds of the electorate.

#46 slyt2 on 10.08.08 at 9:08 am

#39 gumbykat nothing comes up but The specified request cannot be executed from current Application Pool

You know I don’t believe for a moment anybody does not have a photo ID, you have to either a state ID or a drivers license , to do anything you have to have one, poor or rich, so these people who claim not to have one are lying. To get welfare/food stamps any kind of government assistants you have to show a photo ID.

Received this from the McCain HQ this morning:

All: Here’s background on the new plan John McCain announced tonight to keep families in their homes, avoid foreclosures, save failing neighborhoods, stabilize the housing market and attack the roots of our financial crisis.

AMERICAN HOMEOWNERSHIP RESURGENCE PLAN

John McCain will direct his Treasury Secretary to implement an American Homeownership Resurgence Plan (McCain Resurgence Plan) to keep families in their homes, avoid foreclosures, save failing neighborhoods, stabilize the housing market and attack the roots of our financial crisis. America’s families are bearing a heavy burden from falling housing prices, mortgage delinquencies, foreclosures, and a weak economy. It is important that those families who have worked hard enough to finance homeownership not have that dream crushed under the weight of the wrong mortgage. The existing debts are too large compared to the value of housing. For those that cannot make payments, mortgages must be re-structured to put losses on the books and put homeowners in manageable mortgages. Lenders in these cases must recognize the loss that they’ve already suffered.

The McCain Resurgence Plan would purchase mortgages directly from homeowners and mortgage servicers, and replace them with manageable, fixed-rate mortgages that will keep families in their homes. By purchasing the existing, failing mortgages the McCain resurgence plan will eliminate uncertainty over defaults, support the value of mortgage-backed derivatives and alleviate risks that are freezing financial markets.

The McCain resurgence plan would be available to mortgage holders that:

• Live in the home (primary residence only)
• Can prove their creditworthiness at the time of the original loan (no falsifications and provided a down payment).

The new mortgage would be an FHA-guaranteed fixed-rate mortgage at terms manageable for the homeowner. The direct cost of this plan would be roughly $300 billion because the purchase of mortgages would relieve homeowners of “negative equity” in some homes. Funds provided by Congress in recent financial market stabilization bill can be used for this purpose; indeed by stabilizing mortgages it will likely be possible to avoid some purposes previously assumed needed in that bill.

The plan could be implemented quickly as a result of the authorities provided in the stabilization bill, the recent housing bill, and the U.S. government’s conservatorship of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. It may be necessary for Congress to raise the overall borrowing limit.

Ignore the polls

People actually showing up and being willing to wait in line to vote will be what ultimately matters.

Let’s ALL help Freddie get her flyers distributed over the next two weeks — especially in swing states!

See Freddie’s flyer here: http://www.pumapac.org/docs/flyREQUEST_THIS_FLYER.jpg

* leave one wherever you go
* hand them out EVERYWHERE
* shy? mail them out with a handwritten note and PUMA election slate for your state to everyone you have ever known, including your neighbors (do a reverse address search for their names)

Email fred08puma@gmail.com
Subject: FLYERS
Include:

* your name and address (you’d be surprised some forgot to include)

* your blog name

* how many flyers you need

Let’s do all we can to help Freddie distribute these flyers over the next few critical weeks by requesting 50 or 100 or 200 flyers — delivered to your door — at no cost to you (THANK YOU FREDDIE!!!)

#77 girlsrule on 10.08.08 at 9:38 am

#70 mkp651…it is my fear as well. It is my thoughts that McCain could have wrapped this thing up by voting NO on the bailout. That would have put Obama on the side of Bush and against the wishes of most Americans. Why he did not do this is beyond all my comprehension. Of course there is the flip side of that coin. Had he voted no, it may have influenced more house republicans to do the same and when it didn’t pass, and the markets kept falling, as they are now, he would be getting the blame for standing in the way of “bailing us (or should I say the gov’t), out of this mess. I guess it is a double edged sword as no one would have predicted the markets to continue to drop after the bill passed. I am going to stay strong, keep my head up for I feel in my heart there will be an October surprise no one has yet predicted. Nobama has far too many skeletons in his closet to keep them hidden away. Problem is the entire MSM is batting for him and that is proving to tough to fight against. Let’s stay positive however, WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!

#78 ceacea on 10.08.08 at 9:39 am

As having been in a position that required individuals to have an ID one would always be amazed at the excuses that get used for not having one…..Without one anyone can attempt to use anyones idenity. Most of the time it is their children and sometimes its their neighbor or anyone they can make up….

The addresses on the ID holds alot of information as to where this person has been. If the register is interested enough most of the time people that do this type of activity are also wanted by law enforcement….check it out and put them in jail and this would stop alot of the fraud.

Megan Kelly said they connected Newsweek but they didn’t answer back about picture. I guess BO’s picture was clear that it had been retouched (which all close up pictures usually are) but with Palin’s it was not. Hmmm maybe I will be doing a little prowling this morning. I don’t doubt for a moment they did it on purpose , remember that photo of McCain that woman admitted not touching it up and made him look bad on purpose.

This ACORN voter fraud case is old news in Seattle. Keep in mind the Gov. Gregoire (Democrat) won the election by 130 votes most of which were found in the Seattle cour house basement in a sealed ballot box that they forgot to count several weeks after the election. She took over the office before the court case was decided.

I agree with you, but I would have been happier if his plan would have been to lower rates and extend the life of the loan 10 to 15 years. From a 30 year to a 40 or 45 year. But to just forgive this debt will hurt all and take longer to recover from. My concern is that they will value the home around what this people can afford and all property values will dive even more!

It is time to unsubscribe from NEWSWEEK. I canceled my subscription to TIME because of their obvious promotion Of Obama NOW NEWSWEEK IS DOING THE SAME-PUTTING AN UNFLATTERING PHOTO OF GOVERNO. Also the cover statement, –SHE’S ONE OF US AND THAT’S THE PROBLEM–.I didn’t put the statement in quotes because I wasn’t quite sure of the exact words of the first part, but it expresses exactly what the statement meant. #77 — I like Mick’s idea. A state issued picture ID when you register.

It can be COMPLETELY divorced from law enforcement, drivers license etc. There can be state laws preventing police from interfering with or hindering a person’s right to vote.

just because you’re homeless doesnt mean you can’t vote. Just because you have a warrant for an unpaid water bill doesnt mean you cant vote. Just because you skipped jury duty doesnt mean you cant vote.

Even being a convicted felon doesnt mean you lose your right to vote (depending on state and crime). The problem isnt that poor people or people somewhat “outside” the law want to vote — they SHOULD vote. Community groups and the Dem Party SHOULD be increasing the turnout in these communities — it’s good for democrats for goodness sake.

the problem is Fraud and Cheating. The Dems want the benefit of increased registrations without the responsibility.

Every public high school in America turns around thousands of photo-id’s for their students every year. It takes them about 3 days to do it.

There is no good reason not to equip every registration place with an id camera and printer. It’s hogwash.

shampoovta #85 — I hear ya. Maybe think of it this way — Lots of millionaires made foolish, greedy, selfish, stupid, and irresponsible decisions in the last 10 years.

Many regular working people also did.

Congress has already agreed to rescue the Millionaires from their bad choices — because if the taxpayers dont bail them out it will be bad for all of us (or so we’re told).

Why are we rescuing millionaires from their own bad choices but not working people?

doesnt seem fair.

but then again, as my auntie always told me — life isn’t fair. there is no fair.

#102 Henerietta on 10.08.08 at 10:11 am

As a real estate appraiser I can tell you all : PROPERTY VALUES ARE DROPPING AND WILL CONTINUE TO DROP FOR THE NEXT FEW YEARS!

The reason: Property values inflated at more than 4 times the general inflation rate itself. That means the economy in general could not support the rise in property values. Creative financing created a housing boom. The supply did not keep up with the demand. Now there is no demand. People are just walking away because they cannot afford the payments, or they could not afford the house to start with. Some could stay with the property if the value were to be reset at the amount the property is worth today. If the house goes into the market as a repo, that will push prices down even more. If we can refinance at a lower value all the bank will lose is that chunk of equity at the top, probably less than 20%. If it goes on the market as a repo, the bank may lose two or three times as much.

McCain’s plan makes sense.

They knocked on the door, and proceeded to ask her who she was voting for… and that they wanted to discuss all the greatness of Obama. She couldn’t get them to leave and finally had to slam the door in their faces. Nice, real nice. Ugh. I’m hoping no one comes knocking on my door – I’ll have to sick the dogs on them.

I also agree with you, I have been saying this for months….The government already signed a bill and we hold this paper already. I do not believe McCain worded it properly, he should have reiterated that we already own them, thanks to this bill, now let’s make these banks culpable. It is better to rework these loans and get some sort of payment rather than NO payment at all. I would say to the banks you will get some bailout dollars when you rework these loans, sure seems better to me than a bunch of foreclosures, the banks are in trouble over this mortgage crap, I say make them eat their own crap.

Similar thing happened to a co-worker’s brother 2 weeks ago here in NEPA. Listen to this…

He was spending the day at his mom’s house doing repairs, getting annoyed with her because before he could finish one repair, she was telling him what else needed fixing. He went out on her front porch for a break, was approached by a campaign worker (didn’t know who the girl was campaigning for at the time). When she started talking he cut her off, said he didn’t have time to listen to her and to get the he** away from him. She left.

Just before 11pm that night, the local police, FBI and secret service was at his mother’s front door asking if he lived there. Mom gave them his address. a few blocks away They showed up at his house after 11, and started questioning him about making threats on THAT ONE’s life. He has 1 nephew in Afghanistan, 1 in Iraq, and a brother who trains special forces prior their deployment in Iraq and Afghanistan! He told the Secret Service that they might want to investigate how they were “all duped by a teenage girl” falsely accusing him of threatening a presidential candidate’s life. He didn’t even notice WHO she was campaigning for!

Her attack came as it emerged that Ms Palin is a distant cousin of Princess Diana. The Alaska governor is a 10th cousin of the mother of Princes Harry and William.
Ms Palin is a also ninth cousin once removed of President Franklin D. Roosevelt according to genealogists at Ancestry.com.
Last year, current American vice president Dick Cheney’s wife, Lynne, discovered her husband was related to Barack Obama.

She said the relationship was eighth cousin, though the Chicago Sun-Times has traced it as ninth cousins once removed.

You may well be right.

“Boys will be boys” strikes me as a plausible explanation for the many dopey, testosterone-driven and harmless stunts that the members of my gender are prone to. However, when this cliche is proffered as an excuse for criminal behavior it falls very flat, imho.

Each time a crime is committed and no real penalty is levied, the stage is set for the next offense.

“Boys will be boys” will be NObama’s response if he is ever pinned down regarding William Ayer’s and his ‘chidhood’ enthusiasm for blowing things up!!

#147 ron4Hills on 10.08.08 at 10:42 am

A Republican friend of mine sent me this in an e-mail, he couldn’t tell me the origin.

Has this been debunked already? It all sounds plausible but good crap usually does. Can anyone confirm or refute this?

Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California . He is very open about his two years at Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. “Barry” (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan . During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a “round the world” trip. Stopping to see his mother in Indonesia , next Hyderabad in India , three weeks in Karachi , Pakistan where he stayed with his roommate’s family, then off to Africa to visit his father’s family. My question – Where did he get the money for this trip? Nether I, nor any one of my children would have had money for a trip like this when they where in college.. When he came back he started school at Columbia University in New York . It is at this time he wants everyone to call him Barack – not Barry. Do you know what the tuition is at Columbia ? It’s not cheap! to say the least. Where did he get money for tuition? Student Loans? Maybe. After Columbia , he went to Chicago to work as a Community Organizer for $12,000. a year. Why Chicago ? Why not New York ? He was already living in New York .

By “chance” he met Antoin “Tony” Rezko, born in Aleppo Syria , and a real estate developer in Chicago . Rezko has been convicted of fraud and bribery this year. Rezko, was named “Entrepreneur of the Decade” by the Arab-American Business and Professional Association”. About two years later, Obama entered Harvard Law School . Do you have any idea what tuition is for Harvard Law School ? Where did he get the money for Law School ? More student loans? After Law school, he went back to Chicago . Rezko offered him a job, which he turned down. But, he did take a job with Davis , M iner, Barnhill & Galland. Guess what? They represented “Rezar” which Rezko’s firm. Rezko was one of Obama’s first major financial contributors when he ran for office in Chicago . In 2003, Rezko threw an early fundraiser for Obama which Chicago Tribune reporter David Mendelland claims was instrumental in providing Obama with “seed money” for his U.S. Senate race. In 2005, Obama purchased a new home in Kenwoood District of Chicago for $1.65 million (less than asking price).. With ALL those Student Loans – Where did he get the money for the property? On the same day Rezko’s wife, Rita, purchased the adjoining empty lot for full price. The London Times reported that Nadhmi Auchi, an Iraqi-born Billionaire loaned Rezko $3.5 million three weeks before Obama’s new home was purchased. Obama met Nadhmi Auchi many times with Rezko.

Now, we have Obama running for President. Valerie Jarrett, was Michele Obama’s boss. She is now Obama’s chief advisor and he does not make any major decisions without talking to her first. Where was Jarrett born? Ready for this? Shiraz , Iran ! Do we see a pattern here? Or am I going crazy?

On May 10, 2008 The Times reported, Robert Malley advisor to Obama was “sacked” after the press found out he was having regular contacts with “Hamas”, which controls Gaza and is connected with Iran . This past week, buried in the back p art of the papers, Iraqi newspapers reported that during Obama’s visit to Iraq , he asked their leaders to do nothing about the war until after he is elected, and he will “Take care of things”.

Oh, and by the way, remember the college roommates that where born in Pakistan ? They are in charge of all those “small” Internet campaign contribution for Obama. Where is that money coming from? The poor and middle class in this country? Or could it be from the Middle East ?

And the final bit of news. On September 7, 2008, The Washington Times posted a verbal slip that was made on “This Week” with George Stephanapoulos. Obama on talking about his religion said, “My Muslim faith”. When questioned, “he make a mistake”. Some mistake!

All of the above information I got on line. If you would like to check it – Wikipedia, encyclopedia, Barack Obama; Tony Rezko; Valerie Jarrett: Daily Times – Obama visited Pakistan in 1981; The Washington Times – September 7, 2008; The Times May 10, 2008.

Now the BIG question – If I found out all this information on my own, Why haven’t all of our “intelligent” membe rs of the press been reporting this?

A phrase that keeps ringing in my ear – “Beware of the enemy from within”!!!

Thanks

Cults and fascists always get their followers to do the dirty work. The first thing the followers do is to go overboard in their actions whenever someone challenges them. The dictator of the cult leader does not even have to instruct them, they will do it on their own out of loyalty or love or a sick sense of thougts of being in the right so much that everyone and everything else is wrong.

These kids who have been trained as community organizers are indoctrinated in these techniques to the point where reality is not a part of their psyche. That young lady who is involved in getting the secret service involved probably got her feelings hurt, reported it to her supervisor, who blew it way out of porportion and called the authorties. The kid probably had been taught the in your face techniques and had been told that she was to push her agenda no matter what someone said to her. When she was asked to leave, she thought she was being attacked.

What a mess this nation will be in if this dictator takes over!

Ohhhhhhhh Napa! I love Napa (well, I love love love Northern California). Spent lots of time off Oakdale Road (oakdale rd? can’t recall now.) Had a friend who owned a small retreat there. Spent one year going up periodically to learn the grape to wine process… winter trimming, picking, sugar testing, sending to vintner for crushing and bottling.
Mud baths and massages in Calistoga, and that incredible Italian Restaurant… The Laundry?? Made their own olive oil. Yumadumdum

#159 Heidi Li on 10.08.08 at 10:50 am

The reason for not trying to time markets with major assets: most people get the timing wrong. And if you had a bunch of cash from home you sold 3 years ago, you probably would have put it in the stock market and look where you would be now.

Direct relief to mortgage holders, if handled sensibly, could provide short term stabilization for millions of homeowners and, over time, as property values rise again, the gov’t could actually make a profit when it resells the mortgages.

Also some insight on conservatives voting for McCain. I’ve been railing about them not supporting McCain while BO’s party is spinning wildly in his favor. Suspected that there was a reason conservatives were not enthusiastic supporting McC and finally got my answer on C-Span this weekend. A guy named Joseph Farah, a Ronald Reagan lover, wrote a book titled ‘None of the Above’ in which he tells conservatives to let Obama win so that he will run the country into the ground and then the repubs can take over for a very long time. He bases this theory on the fact that after Jimmy Carter was in office for 4 years, Ronald Reagan and Bush I won the WH and Newt and the conservs took over the Congress. He says that never would have happened had Jimmy Carter not been elected. Food for thought.

__________________________________

My 75 yr old dad said that same thing the other day. He already has many guns because he’s a hunter but he said that if Obama wins that first thing that he’s going to do is by an AK 47.

I was SHOCKED when he said this … I said WTH? Why? He and many of his old buddies believe that if Obama wins then there’s going to be so much unrest from blacks and whites that it will casue an uprising so he wants to be prepared just in case. He really thinks that Obama has so many radical ties and that there’s going to be a surge in the “black movement” like we had in the 60s and 70s. My dad isn’t so wacko, he’s very politically savvy and he’s very knowledgable on world history and American history. He said that there are many signs for another civil war in this country and that he fears that in his lifetime we will see one.

The way he was talking scared me so I told him to stop talking about it. My dad is kind of a badass cajun but I’ve NEVER heard him talk this way and it really freaked me out.

Hello Fellow PUMAS!

I hear a lot of doom and gloom here today. Let me tell you why I think McCain WILL WIN.

1) According to recent Polls (as per WIOD Radio) 7% of White Americans Just will not vote for an African American.
2) Over 7 Million Former Clinton Supporters (dare I say PUMAS) WILL NOT vote for an Empty Suit.
3) More Anti Oblahma sites and organization than any other in History…..Millions upon Millions of people who VOTE!
4) Who exactly are they polling? Hmmmm….not sure, but – NOT ME (or most of you I bet to gamble).
5) National Polls today average a 3 point lead for Obambi – well within the margin of error.
6) Can you say “THE BRADLEY EFFECT” come voting day.
7) I do not think that McCain is even close to giving up.
8) I DO BELIEVE there is an October Surprise
9) Attack has only just begun…..
10) and my last conclusion is because I know that most college students or young people will not make it a priority to vote instead of going surfing or drinking all night hung over……

So there you have it……. This is why I believe MCCAIN WILL WIN – SAY IT AND BELIEVE IT – IT IS TRUE!

Rex Features
Madonna has banned US vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin from attending her live shows.

During her ‘Sticky & Sweet’ tour date in New York, the popstar broke from her performance to launch an attack on the Republican politician.

She said: “Sarah Palin can’t come to my party. Sarah Palin can’t come to my show. It’s nothing personal.”

Later in the show, when a technical glitch caused a high-pitched screeching noise, Madonna commented: “Here’s the sound of Sarah Palin’s husband’s snowmobile when it won’t start.”

P. Diddy, Lindsay Lohan and Pink have also declared their dislike for Palin, the running mate of Republican presidential candidate John McCain.

Anyone who has ever had an economics course has heard about the supply and demand ratio. If supply goes up or demand goes down prices tend to drop.

The housing market is largely regulated by the supply of money with which to purchase housing. If the supply of money is not there, the demand for housing goes down.

How this mess happened is that the supply of money was abundant to the point where the builders and sellers could not keep up with the demand of ready purchasers. This pushed prices up. I can put my finger on several subdivisions in our area where buyers were bidding as much as 8% above asking price for houses under construction. A completed house in good condition was bringing as much as 11% above asking price. My analysis (for a lawsuit) was that there was a 100% probability that a house in that subdivision would sell at or above asking price. There was a 74% probability that a house would sell at least 4% above asking price. This was in May of 2006.

Some people do not understand the appraisal process. We concern ourselves with the market as of a specific date, even if we know there may be a crash coming, the law requires us to estimate the value on a specific property as of that specific date. What we use to support our value estimate is data from the previous six months, sometimes extended to one year, for that market segment.

The worst case scenario is when someone buys a house at the peak of the market and a few months later, the market has deflated by 10 to 15%. It has happened all over. Is the appraiser to blame? NO. The appraiser is not expected to be clairvoyant. We report history and past trends leading up to the date of the appraisal. If the market crashes the day after the appraisal, we are not responsible.

*OMG*…Can someone Puhleeessse tell me how the HELL a candidate with these kinds of associations gets the friggin nomination of his party to become PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES?

You must see this video posted on this website

http://texasdarlin.wordpress.com/2008/10/06/why-did-obama-campaign-for-a-pro-islam-candidate-in-kenya/

From the page:
Odinga Made A Deal with Kenyan Muslims to Institute Islamic Law; Obama Campaigned for Him
[Update: As a reader pointed out, Sharia is an assault on women.]

The video below tells a shocking story of Barack Obama’s involvement, while a US Senator, in the Presidential campaign of Raila Odinga.

Now that Obama has acknowledged having had Kenyan citizenship, it’s time to take another serious look at his recent campaign activities on behalf of Kenyan presidential candidate Raila Odinga, a Muslim sympathizer and leader of the socialist Orange Democratic Movement.

We review the Obama-Odinga campaign collaboration with this central question in mind: As a former Kenyan citizen, does Obama’s open involvement in Kenyan presidential politics raise troubling questions about his loyalties? Apparently Obama traveled to Kenya on official business as a US Senator; the trip was funded by US taxpayers. Odinga’s policy positions were against stated US interests.

Odinga, running on the slogan “Agent of Change,” lost the race for President of Kenya in December 2007 and thereafter led a campaign of widespread ethnic warfare in protest of his loss.

In August 2007, Odinga had signed an agreement with Islamic extremists to institute Islamic Law should he be elected President of Kenya, and he vowed to end cooperation with the United States in the war against terror. WHY did OBAMA actively campaign for him?

Watch the video. It’s 8 minutes long. The first 6 minutes give an excellent overview of Odinga’s bid for President and his socialist background. Obama’s role in Odinga’s candidacy begins at approximately 6:20. It is truly stunning and something that every American voter MUST SEE:

I have been dreading to tell you all: the kitty that we tried to rescue died. I managed to keep him alive for 12 days, which, really, as young as he was and as bad a shape as he was in, was a miracle.

I had to be out last Friday afternoon for a while, and when I came back, he was almost gone. I tried hard to revive him, but it was no use.

I know there are some things that are lost causes, but at least I tried. I hope that I gave him some comfort, even for a few brief days.

Just thought you’d like to know.

I don’t think Sarah would want to go to a Madonna show anyway. According to Megyn McCain, Sarah’s more of a Kid Rock kinda gal.

I hear a lot of doom and gloom here today. Let me tell you why I think McCain WILL WIN.
————
I agree with all you points mimi, especially the polls not reflecting PUMA votes.
I also think the ACORN, Ayers etc drama has just begun and when voters get into the booth, those things will bring more doubt about the PovertyPimp. And, are all those people making $250,000 or more a month willing to pay more taxes to ACORN and the bad loan practice of Fannie and Freddie? Are all those Hollywood movies stars happy with earning less for those cause. All small business owners that are having trouble getting credit now, willing to pay more taxes?
I don’t think McCain has any idea of giving up.

I am not sure McCain will win at this point, but I do believe in reality, he is at least 1 point ahead of obie.

I rarely (if EVER) feel the emotion of unadulterated hate, but when I see what this XXXXXXX is getting away with and how seemingly intelligent people are not stopping it, they’re even viciously promoting it, I can’t help it. I think of how my father and uncles fought overseas in WWII to hand over to us a prosperous and free nation where we were proud to call ourselves Americans; and now I see the hurt in their eyes every time this XXXXXXX is spewing his lies and refusing to salute our flag (unless it is politically advantageous, of course).

#239 Ario on 10.08.08 at 11:51 am

this is how the larry sinclair drama can play out…

1. show clips of his interview at the national press club
2. show court documents and newspaper clippings
3. show statements from the limo driver
4. show the obituary of that dead gay choir member in that one’s church
5. then show quick pics of all the political slick ricks and their scandal…hence…the rev jesse jasckson and his love child…mayor williams and pics of him being hauled out of that whore house with a crack pipe…and to not be considered racist…bring up john edwards…
6. oh and to add a little more drama play a song by tupac in the background.
7. and make the ad be all about..”could this be possible…who knows we dont know senator obama…so it wouldnt neccessarily be a lie. just a series of questions.

#240 Henerietta on 10.08.08 at 11:52 am

He had started to purr a little, once in a while. I did notice that he really was not gaining weight. He did climb out of his box once in a while, and for a few days, I really thought he might make it. By the time he died, his fur looked better, but I never could get the sore eyes to disappear. I concluded that he was just too young.

I tried to find someone with a mamma cat that had kittens. I had thought maybe a kind mother might adopt him. I had no luck there. I guess I am not cut out to be a cat mamma.

Murphy – I think homes in Del Mar, La Jolla area are holding strong – they have not plummeted because the people generally can afford their homes and didn’t go for the 0 down and adjustable loans. Foreclosures are not too common. I had been looking for another property for years but refused to be suckered in by the frenzy. Even now, the real estate agents are putting the pressure on me – its incredible. They too are to blame. I look at the homes on Craigs List quite often.
Dumps are still selling for 400,000 and up. I am talking old, run down with postage yards.

I love the ones in Rancho Santa Fe… (Dances will probably raise her brows as this is the cats meow area) . Lots of land and privacy but still not in the boonies. Salivating over a foreclosure there for 1.6 million – in my dreams.. But generally, I think even though the price of homes have fallen drastically, they
are still not terribly affordable for the average joe in California – not when things have adjusted and loans are back to pre-boom times.

Yes , the govt regulations and the pushing of sub prime loans are the prime culprit in this as we all know.

Look, many conservatives may not like everything about McCain but we aren’t so disappointed in him that we would help Obama win. More than likely McCain wouldn’t run in 2012 so many in conservative circles are hoping for a Palin/Romney or Jendal/Palin pick in 2012.

murphy on 10.08.08 at 10:57 am hillfan — I think the idea is that if most people KNOW they’ll be able to stay in and afford their homes, then the construction workers and home improvement suppliers will be busy again as people re-focus on maintenance and upkeep.

*********************
I agree with you, problem is most in this field dont have much time left. For those in construction this started to hurt them over a year ago. Many went from tighting their belts, to getting denied bank loans cuz they work in construction, to selling the teenagers old car, to having to charge groceries so kids can eat, to no work and NO wiggle room.
EVERY person I know that is in construction 20 plus years has borrowed from other family members, left families behind to pick up some work elsewhere, a few have even moved back home to mom and dad. These are 45yr old men (w/families) moving back to mom and dads. A handful I know are losing their houses. Here, in NC home values have not dropped much, even though they are not selling. The mortgage banks have made it clear they would rather take your home and offer no help. They can still make money on the house, selling it below market even if it sits awhile. I have seen this happen many times over.

Whisper Campaign :

I think we should spread a whisper campaign. All of us should tell OBAMA FOLLOWERS that there’s no point going to stand in long lines at the polls because Obama is going to win Big Time anyway. The average kool aid suckers may just stay home if he is guaranteed a win.
This would be the antidote to the record turn out for the chosen one.

If you have Obots at home, keep them engaged so they forget to get out and vote. Every effort counts in order to keep Obama from the White House.

From CNN Medical Producer Caleb Hellerman

Last month, Sen. Claire McCaskill, a Missouri Democrat and a supporter of Democratic candidate Sen. Barack Obama, said McCain’s age and skin cancer history were fair game as a campaign issue. “We’re talking about a reality here that we have to face.”

All this skates over the fact that McCain already allowed reporters a peek at eight years worth of health records, dating back to 2000, while Obama has released a one-page summary from his doctor.

McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds said it’s a double standard. “The arbiters of this election are not demanding the same level of disclosure about Sen. Obama. He’s essentially running on a doctor’s note. I had a harder time getting out of high school math class.”

Hmmm…is THAT ONE hiding something?

Ario – what makes you so different from the other AA’s that have prostrated themselved at Obama ? It is not too far fetched to say that 99.9% of blacks are voting for Obama. I am just curious. Is it because you are not 100% AA and can’t relate ?

I wanted to ask Wizard that, but I never got around to it and he passed away.

#269 maxgrader on 10.08.08 at 12:16 pm

Okay, for me I found the definitive explanation of both sides of the health care issue and then some.

Does this clarifiy things better for my fellow pumas as well:

Obama’s health plan is really slow-motion Medicare for all. And the problem with Medicare-like price controls is that they reduce the number of people willing to provide medical services, which always means longer lines and rationing.

McCain’s health plan has a problem of its own. It is not too radical but too timid. A refundable tax credit of $5,000 per family — in addition to increased cash wages from employers no longer burdened with paying for health care — would help middle-class workers get insurance. But for people on the lower end of the scale — who don’t qualify for Medicaid — the $5,000 credit alone would not be enough to buy adequate coverage, which can cost more than double that amount.

To be a genuine alternative, Republicans should follow their own logic and make the ownership of private health insurance an entitlement. Fund the purchase of a basic health insurance plan completely, through a refundable tax credit, so every low-income American can afford insurance. Help consumers exercise their newfound choice of health plans by requiring the disclosure of comprehensive information on health costs and outcomes.

Universal Medicare is a frightening prospect. But it may be unavoidable unless Republicans can counter the rallying cry “health care for everyone” with a simple and superior alternative: “Health insurance for everyone.”

I have chosen McCain’s plan simply because it isn’t socialism– something I adamently oppose. But the health insurance idea works for me too.

My thanks to the Washington Post for helping me understand, finally and precisely, the health care ideas.

McCain Refuses to Shake Hands With Obama

http://robustdebate.multiply.com/journal/item/2322/McCain_Refuses_to_Shake_Hands_With_Obama

“I’m sure die-hard McCain fans will say that “of course you don’t shake hands
with the enemy”. I’m sure I’ll hear character accusations galore, with no
substance whatsoever.

In my opinion, this is childish behavior… but I guess this makes sense in
the same world where you “refuse to sit down and tell it to your enemies because
you didn’t get your ‘preconditions’ “? The same world where after being attacked
you just attack someone else, even if it’s not the person who attacked you? The
same world view that talks the talk but does nothing but not walk the walk.

Here’s my opinion: when I have a problem with someone, I’ll man up. I’ll
go face that one. I’ll look him in the eye, not look the other way. If I’m
wrong, I’ll own up to my mess and clean it. If I’m right, I’ll know why I’m
right, and not just say “I’m right”. I’m not gonna pick on someone else to bully
and pour my frustration on so I can forget about the one I actually have the
problem with.

I’d say the debate is a “sit down” with rules and I’d say
pre-conditions as well… Then McCain acts like a child without manners?
That is not someone who is presidential, that is no leader. That is just a bully who’s had his bluff called, and now is afraid to look the other guy in the eye. McCain’s is broken, he’s lost it. Shameful, tragic and sad. “

The harsh reality is that nothing ever proposed by any candidate can solve our health care crisis.

The most successful health care systems are all run as a governmental service. They are not farmed out to subcontractors, they are not pay per service, they simply ARE.

We need to start moving toward a civilian medical corps model. It starts with expanding medical schools and recruiting high school students to be a part of the system. They should be educated at no cost to them, then required to work, for a salary, in the medical corps. Then we should do the same with nurses. We should do a nurse to doctor education plan that would allow RNs to move on into medical school is they desire. Part of our problem is a shortage of doctors. That keeps salaries high, and medical school expenses astronomical.

We should set this up like the Military Medical Schools and corps. The graduates get a salary. The facilities where they work are government run, with everything bought wholesales, with no billing system. If you are a citizen, you are accepted, no questions asked.

Ario – thanks for your frank comments – I appreciate it.
It is difficult for me to look at an AA and not think Obama. I guess I am a racist :)

But why doesn’t the rest of the AA community see that ? Did you see the U tube of some AA’s heckling Obama at a Florida rally ? I was shocked to see that a few days ago. AAs ? They held up a large banner asking what Obama has done for the black community.
That was unusual.

And many of the so called white liberals would not know what to say to a regular black working person if they , if they happen to run into them on the street, and in many cases they would not run into them because they live apart from them. Obama has played this race issue to perfection. He is not of a common heritage with American descendents of slaves. He is a new, more sophisticated mix of parentage. These people seem to have moved at will, around the world, being a part of every radical and subversive culture out there. He adopts the ‘downtroden AA’ persona when it serves his needs. He has harnessed the will and the efforts of millions of true black Americans to his cause, not because he is one of their true brothers, but because it serves his needs.

BRIEF REPORTS:
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Voter & Registration Fraud in Swing-States
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

ACORN Nevada Office Raided RE: Voter Fraud
http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/07/acorn-vegas-office-raided-voter-fraud-investigation/

Nevada state authorities seized records and computers Tuesday from the Las Vegas office of ACORN after fielding complaints of voter fraud.

Bob Walsh, spokesman for the Nevada secretary of state’s office, told FOXNews.com the raid was prompted by ongoing complaints about “erroneous” registration information being submitted by ACORN.

“Some of them used nonexistent names, some of them used false addresses and some of them were duplicates of previously filed applications,” Walsh said, describing the complaints, which largely came from the registrar in Clark County, Nev.

Numerous Invalid Registrations Reported in Indiana

In Lake County….. a federal investigation into hundreds of voter registrations bearing fictitious signatures or the names of dead and underage people.

“Fraudulent applications are the workings of ACORN groups operating from Milwaukee and Chicago who are getting out the vote for Obama…”

“…it appears some ACORN vote canvassers pulled names and addresses from telephone books and forged their signatures.”

NOTE: Henrietta reports that when ACORN got caught in IN, they scrammed… ‘cos illegal registration is a felony there!

BO-folks STEALING THE ELECTION IN OHIO

…AND they’re promoting BO during the ride!!!
See FOX-news video:

—————

The homeless are being bribed with “goodies” and given rides to vote for BO. Seems they’re even being transported into swing states from neighboring states.

(liberallyconservative.com/?p=2560)

————–
“People are showing up to register and vote. There is no evidence that these people have not registered or voted somewhere else. There is no control. Normally in an election, partisan election monitors are allowed into polling places so that they can police each other. But not in two counties, Franklin and Montgomery, in Ohio. Brunner told OH counties they are not required to allow election monitors.

(trapshooters.com/cfpages/thread.cfm?threadid=167057&Messages=14)

————–
Obama is taking advantage of Ohio’s new controversial early voting:

Obama’s campaign is using its financial and organizational muscle to boost turnout among his core supporters – blacks and the youth. His campaign long planned for this early voting period and organized car pools from college campuses to early voting sites across the state.

… people are being transported from places like homeless shelters, halfway houses and soup kitchens.

(cayankee.blogs.com/cayankee/2008/10/stealing-ohio.html)

There are also reports of people not being asked for proof of US citizenship when they register to vote in Fairfax county Virginia !

********************************
Agreed
********************************
The most successful health care systems are all run as a governmental service. They are not farmed out to subcontractors, they are not pay per service, they simply ARE.
*******************************
Not true. Having grown up in both USA and England and having most of my family still in England. I can tell you that is just not true. Getting in to see a doctor is impossible. It takes 3-6 months to get into a doctor. It takes another 8-12mos if you need to have a procedure done. My family has to BUY insurance so they can get into a doctor.
This system worked for them 30-40 years ago, but with over population, its very broken. My family has paid sooooo much in taxes due to health care, that life is hard for them. My aunt had to wait nearly a year to have a procedure done, the doc screwed it up and left her unable to take of herself. It took another 3mos to have him fix his mess.
I only trusted Hillary with this, since she is so passionate about health care.

The Detroit Free Press is reporting tonight that a brand new poll shows Obama’s lead in Michigan has dropped to just 5%.

Just a week ago some polls showed Obama with a 13% lead over McCain in the Great Lake State (where 17 Electoral Votes are up for grabs).

The details on the new poll follow below. We here at the Our Country Deserves Better Committee are currently in the middle of a 48-hour web-a-thon to raise over $500,000 for our campaign to defeat Senator Obama in Michigan.

We’re more than 1/2 the way to our goal, having thus far raised over $248,000. Keep those contributions coming in, they are going to make the difference to denying Barack Obama those 17 Electoral Votes and instead handing them to the McCain/Palin ticket.

You can follow the progress of our web-a-thon to “Save Michigan” from Obama here: http://www.ourcountrydeservesbetter….emichigan.html

And individuals can continue to make contributions to this fundraising drive here:

Marc Fisher, Washington Post columnist
Published Wednesday, October 08, 2008

Lynette Long — psychologist, feminist, Democrat, Dupont Circle dweller, Whole Foods shopper, George Bush hater, Hillary Clinton supporter (to the max) — is not just voting for John McCain and Sarah Palin, she even took the stage at their rally in Fairfax, Va., to trumpet her decision to the world.

And then she says this: “I just don’t understand how the Democrats couldn’t see that women wanted a woman. I’m not getting back in bed with someone who’s just abused me. Yeah, it’s payback time.”

Posted is an email that I just received for a PBS poll regarding Sara Palin. Read the message and please vote yes. When I voted it was tied 49y-49n. I guess someone thinks that I am voting Obie—not.

PBS has an online poll posted asking if Sarah Palin is
qualified. Apparently the repulican party platform knew about this in advance and are flooding the voting with YES votes.

The poll will be reported on PBS and picked up by
mainstream media. It can influence undecided voters
in swing states.
Please do two things — takes 20 seconds.
1) Click on link and vote yourself.
Here’s the link:
http://www.pbs.org/now/polls/poll-435.html
2) Then send this to every single Obama-Biden voter
you know, and urge them to vote and pass it on.
The last thing we need is PBS saying their viewers
think Sarah Palin is qualified.

This has become outrageous, now I know how these polls are getting so wharped, the internet is being used heavily.

Felon accused of voting violations

Man charged with illegal registrations

By LARRY SANDLER
lsandler@journalsentinel.com

Posted: Oct. 7, 2008

49 workers suspected

Mucklin was among 49 voter registration workers who were referred to the Milwaukee County district attorney’s office by the Milwaukee Election Commission on suspicion of election fraud. He is the second to be charged.

Virtually all the workers under scrutiny were employed by either the voters project or by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. Those groups were among several politically liberal organizations that launched massive voter registration drives in Milwaukee in advance of the Nov. 4 election.

Been away for awhile, but had to weigh in. Hi, everyone!

After McCain’s dismal and ineffectual performance last night, Nobama will win. We Hillary Clinton supporters, specifically PUMA, must vote McCain/Palin to stand a chance of keeping BO out of the Whitehouse. IMHO

I can’t stand the thought of voting Republican, but will not vote 3rd party. I’ve spoken to many people who will not vote another Republican in as POTUS and are completely unaware of the facts about Barack Obama.

It’s all about the Bush admin and McCain being a member of his party. John McCain hasn’t shown me a damn thing lately. Very disappointing.

Our country, as we know it, will be over if BO is elected. IMHO

God bless you all and our beloved USA!

ACORN’s voter registrations questioned

By KEN DIXON
Staff writer
Article Last Updated: 10/07/2008 11:37:59 PM EDT

HARTFORD — The State Elections Enforcement Commission has opened an investigation into allegations that a community activist organization submitted at least 10 false voter-registration cards in Bridgeport.
One of the phony registrations was for a 7-year-old girl in the Marina Village housing complex, whose age was listed as 27 on the voter card.
Another registration came from a man who later said he couldn’t have completed the voter card purported to be his because he was in jail on the date of the document.
Joseph J. Borges, the city’s Republican registrar of voters, filed the complaint with state officials after months of local complaints on the tactics that ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, was regularly filing applications that were ruled ineligible.

I just received a horrible and nasty e-mail regarding Sarah Palin from a friend of mine. It is too long to post, but here is my response (feel free to comment):

This election isn’t about Palin. It is about McCain and Obama. This is the kind of stuff I worry about:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8QcpdUtxNQ

Sarah Palin is a Governor of Alaska. Barack Obama is a Senator, oh and let’s not forget, a community organizer. Give me a break. Obama is running for President. The guy has no credentials, the people that he has called associates and friends over the past years are all dangerous to this country or crooks. What does that say about his judgment? He has taken millions in campaign contributions from the banking industry and repeatedly blocked reform of that same industry. He has socialist ties everywhere. He works with the likes of Bill Ayers. He is heavily involved with ACORN, which is now being investigated for voter fraud in many states. Yep, dead people and animals voting for Obama. The lists goes on and on and on… Want to know more? Visit:

http://noquarterusa.net/blog/

Those comments about Palin are so sexist they don’t even deserve a response. Is it a crime now to be attractive? Does that somehow make you less intelligent or qualified? People bitched that Hillary was old and ugly, now they bitch that Palin is attractive and sexy. WTF? And to criticize her for what time she puts her kids to bed. That is pretty pathetic. Gee, let’s look at Obama’s choice for VP. The drunk gaffe-master Biden. Real good choice!

I am not a republican, and I don’t agree with McCain on many things. However, country trumps party and my worry is for this country if Obama gets elected. I never want that man to have our nuclear codes.

I don’t like what I’ve seen this election year do to people, including me.
I have 25 years clean and sober and the friends I have LEFT, are all asking what happened to my positive attitude.
Where I used to be able to help and inspire others, now I feel angry, betrayed and bitter. My own ’sponsor’ says I need to stop paying attention to it all. To get my peace of mind and serenity back.
I’m thinking I need to listen to, and hear, that. I really don’t want to vote for any of them.

Soldiers with automatic weapons detain author of ‘Obama Nation’

WND senior staff writer Jerry Corsi
NAIROBI, Kenya – WND senior staff reporter Jerome Corsi yesterday was refused permission to hold a scheduled news conference about his investigation into Barack Obama’s Kenyan links by Kenyan immigration officials and soldiers armed with automatic weapons who then took him to his departure flight and made it clear he was not welcome to return.

“Don’t ever come back. See you in hell,” Corsi reported an unidentified official told him as the author of the No. 1 best-selling book “The Obama Nation” was delivered to a flight departing from Nairobi for London.

Corsi is now in London, where he will file a WND story on his discoveries in Kenya and recount yesterday’s ordeal in radio and TV interviews, including the Fox News Channel’s Hannity and Colmes.

I too find it hard to remain powerless without feeling frustrated. I find that if I just do the BEST I can do with what I believe, I have to leave the results up to my HP.
Sometimes I do not feel comfortable with that, but what is the alternative, driving myself crazy over something I have NO control over.

I will fight during this election alongside of all the PUMAS and the Americans willing to put Country first.
I will fight until Polls close on Nov. 4. That is all I can do.

UN-effing believable!!!
Huffpo is trying to spin the ACORN raid into a Republican
hit job. Gotta get some comments over there. The Liberal media has become the most corrupt group of liars I have ever seen.

The involvement of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in a Tuesday morning raid on the Las Vegas offices of Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (“ACORN”), the community organization involved in registering more than 80,000 new Nevada voters, has raised suspicions that political pressure motivated the action.

Sorry-try this

http://www.ourcountrydeservesbetter.com/savemichigan.html

You can follow the progress of our web-a-thon to “Save Michigan” from Obama here:

And individuals can continue to make contributions to this fundraising drive here:
