The Bomber as School Reformer

Sol Stern will have none of it. In “The bomber as school reformer,” Stern writes:

“Calling Bill Ayers a school reformer is a bit like calling Joseph Stalin an agricultural reformer. (If you find the metaphor strained, consider that Walter Duranty, the infamous New York Times reporter covering the Soviet Union in the 1930s, did, in fact, depict Stalin as a great land reformer who created happy, productive collective farms.) For instance, at a November 2006 education forum in Caracas, Venezuela, with President Hugo Chávez at his side, Ayers proclaimed his support for “the profound educational reforms under way here in Venezuela under the leadership of President Chávez. We share the belief that education is the motor-force of revolution. . . . I look forward to seeing how you continue to overcome the failings of capitalist education as you seek to create something truly new and deeply humane.” Ayers concluded his speech by declaring that “Venezuela is poised to offer the world a new model of education—a humanizing and revolutionary model whose twin missions are enlightenment and liberation,” and then, as in days of old, raised his fist and chanted: “Viva Presidente Chávez! Viva la Revolucion Bolivariana! Hasta la Victoria Siempre!”

Stern reminds us that Ayers was a revolutionary driven by hatred of the United States when he was planting bombs in the 1970’s and he is a revolutionary driven by hatred of the United States now. The intervening years include the period of his alliance with his young Chicago friend Barack Obama. Stern drily observes: “For the first time in his life, Ayers seems to be observing Democratic Party discipline and won’t be talking until after November 4.”

(thanks to joenewhaven in comments)

The disturbing look on the young Bill Ayers’ unnervingly boyish (despite the MANLY MUSTACHE!) face reminded me of this other very young “radical.” Though there has always been something fiercely tragic and horrible in the look of terrified determination in McVeigh’s eyes and mouth. McVeigh comes through (to me at least) as a horribly misguided and WRONG “true believer.” Ayers looks like a sadistic psychopath straight out of central casting.

Sorry you are having a hard time.

The jist of it is that DAO was told that the Whitey tape DOES exist and it is set to be released 2 weeks before the Election so that the Obama Camp does NOT have time to recover. They call it “stunning”. Shows Michelle Obama with Farrakan at the Trinity Church and her spewing her stuff and calling white people Whitey. I guess more will be revealed.

Though we do know he was quite the delinquent, any criminal record would have been expunged when he turned 18 and had a record of good behavior.

We need to connect Ayres with Obama sometime before Columbia. My guess is that there is some common connection between them from that time. Then we need to connect Obama with others in the underground that has become ACORN. If those connections exist, there is ample reason to expose him as a radical.

Sean Hannity’s radio program is on daily 3 to 6 Eastern time (12 to 3 Pacific time).

It’s a heavily “anti-BO” program (he calls it the “Stop Obama Express”), covering all the anti-BO talking points and latest issues and news.

Lately, he’s been talking a lot about Ayers the implications of BO’s radical connections…

Today, he started out reporting a new Zogby poll w/BO up only 3 points, and another poll which shows the public now thinks McCain would be better for the economy than BO (by around 45 to 43)… so maybe the truth about the financial-crisis roots (& the “Burning Down the House” video) are getting around!

The program is on NOW (the final hour just beginning)…. To listen live online TODAY and every weekday (3 to 6 EST):

(If there’s no sound when you click on, they may be in a commercial break– Some commercials are not broadcast online)

#39 Henerietta on 10.07.08 at 5:07 pm

rlp33: I agree with you. Never count McCain out. He is the little engine that could. He always chuggs along doing his own things, and the public generally sees it in his favor eventually.

Obama has spent about 1/2 billion $ on his venture, McCain has spent less than 1/4 of that. It would seem to me that the American public should take a look at the way these candidates spend their money and what they get in return. That McCain is neck and neck with Obama while spending so much less is a metaphor for the way each of them think.

McCain=do more with less

Obama=do less with more…………..

I think the idea of 19% of republicans voting for Obama is false. Its a mystery where they dug up that Iraq war vet (superdelegate) who voted for his Florida vote. I talk to a lot of conservatives and no one, I mean no one is for Obama. They were more likely to vote for Hillary over Obama. That was before Palin. Palin has energized the conservative men to vote for McCain.

Restaurant spices congressional campaign
A general manager of the Hyde Park restaurant Medici, Kirsten Schley, is demanding that the re-election campaign of U.S. Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Ill.) remove her likeness and the restaurant’s name from Rush leaflets and billboards.

The INC. Column reports that Schley is angry the pictures were displayed without her permission and that supporters of Rush’s challenger, state Sen. Barack Obama (D-Chicago), are threatening to boycott her restaurant in retaliation.

Rush campaign spokeswoman Maudlyne Ihejirika calls it a “simple misunderstanding,” adding that she would “not be surprised if (Schley) was being goaded into this by one of our opponents.”

State Sen. Barack Obama (D-Chicago) called to gripe about Tuesday’s Inc. (Hey, join the club.) His beef was that we questioned his decision to stay on vacation in Hawaii instead of returning to Springfield to vote for a tough gun control measure.
Obama insists that he and his wife, Michelle, stayed in Hawaii not to sip mai tais on the beach but because their 18-month-old daughter, Malia, was sick. He decided not to fly home alone, which would have meant leaving his wife back in Hawaii to care for the sick child.
“We have a lot of politicians who like to talk about family values. At some point you have to live those families values,” he told Inc.
We repeat: His opponents in his race for Congress will use this against him.
By the way
Obama says the night before the next time the gun bill is up, he’ll be sleeping under his desk in Springfield to make sure he doesn’t miss the vote.

ACORN Nevada Office Raided RE: Voter Fraud
http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/10/07/acorn-vegas-office-raided-voter-fraud-investigation/

Nevada state authorities seized records and computers Tuesday from the Las Vegas office of an organization that tries to get low-income people registered to vote, after fielding complaints of voter fraud.

Bob Walsh, spokesman for the Nevada secretary of state’s office, told FOXNews.com the raid was prompted by ongoing complaints about “erroneous” registration information being submitted by ACORN (the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now).

The group was submitting the information through a voter sign-up drive known as Project Vote.

“Some of them used nonexistent names, some of them used false addresses and some of them were duplicates of previously filed applications,” Walsh said, describing the complaints, which largely came from the registrar in Clark County, Nev.

http://www.nwi.com/articles/2008/10/02/news/lake_county/doc5399904569d23a75862574d600010e55.txt

Lake County Republican Chairman John Curley wants a federal investigation into hundreds of voter registrations bearing fictitious signatures or the names of dead and underage people.

“Fraudulent applications are the workings of ACORN groups operating from Milwaukee and Chicago who are getting out the vote for Obama…”

“…it appears some ACORN vote canvassers pulled names and addresses from telephone books and forged their signatures.”

Obama’s campaign is using its financial and organizational muscle to boost turnout among his core supporters – blacks and the youth. His campaign long planned for this early voting period and organized car pools from college campuses to early voting sites across the state.

Independent groups seeking to increase poor and minority participation also transported voters from places like homeless shelters, halfway houses and soup kitchens.

Here is the information I found listen to how the last paragraph reads

November 4, 1997 Press Contact: Julia Morse
(773) 702-8359
morse@uchicago.edu

Should a child ever be called a “super predator?”
A panel at the University of Chicago debates the merits of the juvenile justice system
Children who kill are called “super predators,” “people with no conscience,” “feral pre-social beings”–and “adults.”

William Ayers, author of A Kind and Just Parent: The Children of Juvenile Court(Beacon Press, 1997), says “We should call a child a child. A 13-year-old who picks up a gun isn’t suddenly an adult. We have to ask other questions: How did he get the gun? Where did it come from?”

Ayers, who spent a year observing the Cook County Temporary Juvenile Detention Center in Chicago, is one of four panelists who will speak on juvenile justice at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in the C-Shop of the Reynolds Club, 5706 S. University Ave.

The panel, which marks the 100th anniversary of the juvenile justice system in the United States, is part of the Community Service Center’s monthly discussion series on issues affecting the city of Chicago.

The event is free and open to the public.

Ayers will be joined by Illinois State Sen. Barack Obama, Senior Lecturer in the University of Chicago Law School, who is working to block proposed legislation that would throw more juvenile offenders into the adult system; Randolph Stone, Director of the Mandel Legal Aid Clinic at the University of Chicago; Alex Correa, a reformed juvenile offender who spent 7 years in Cook County Temporary Detention Center; Frank Tobin, a former priest and teacher in the Detention Center who helped Correa; and Willy Baldwin, who grew up in public housing and is currently a teacher in the Detention Center.

The juvenile justice system was founded by Chicago reformer Jane Addams, who advocated the establishment of a separate court system for children which would act like a “kind and just parent” for children in crisis.

One hundred years later, the system is “overcrowded, under-funded, over-centralized and racist,” Ayers said.

Michelle Obama, Associate Dean of Student Services and Director of the University of Chicago Community Service Center, hopes bringing issues like this to campus will open a dialogue between members of the University community and the broader community.

There are some pretty wild things going around on the internet about Obama.

Could this be why he wont show his birth certificate.

http://astuteblogger.blogspot.com/2008/09/obamas-real-father-connecting-dots.html

OBAMA’S REAL FATHER: ONLY FRANK MARSHALL DAVIS CONNECTS ALL THE DOTS

http://righttruth.typepad.com/right_truth/2008/08/obamas-peverted-communist-friend-frank.html

Harnden flatly asserts that “The book, which closely tracks Mr. Davis’s life in Chicago and Hawaii and the fact that his first wife was black and his second white, describes in lurid detail a series of shockingly sordid sexual encounters, often involving group sex. One chapter concerns the seduction by Mr. Davis and his first wife of a 13-year-old girl called Anne. Mr. Davis wrote that it was the girl who had suggested he had sex with her.”

Harnden added, “He then described how he and his wife would have sex with the girl” many times over the course of several weeks.

Could they have the name right and the age wrong?

Afternoon Pumas – just got off from work and have not had time to go through two threads to see if this has been reported and sincerely apologize if it is a repeat by one or two or three other people -

reposted from downstairs:

Listening to the radio this morning – they were saying that the audience for the debate tonight was chosen by none other than GALLUP – and the questions will be picked from the audience by Tom Brokaw – along with some of his questions – wonder how this will turn out – wish we had a prowl on that one -

I sent off that letter to Congress – and to my congressmen – you know, the one about BO having to show some proof of his US citizenship. Here’s the response I got back from Sen. Patrick Leahy, my esteened Senator:

Thank you for contacting me about the federal government’s economic rescue plan. I appreciate hearing from you.

Our nation’s current financial crisis is rooted in material actions involving executive greed and ineptitude, flawed economic policies, and the incompetence of on-the-scene regulatory agencies. And, we are dealing with this crisis at the unfortunate intersection of two toxic trends: the loss of confidence in our financial system, and the public’s loss of confidence in the Bush Administration. Many have come to agree with those of us who have long felt that ‘trust me’ is not enough when this White House asks for sweeping new powers.

The growing financial crisis now threatens businesses, family savings, and retirement funds throughout Vermont. The accounts that Vermont colleges and universities use for their operations suddenly have seized up. Vermont insurance companies have not been able to trade bonds in weeks. Small businesses all across our state have seen their ability to get routine credit in order to make payroll or buy new equipment either decrease dramatically or dry up altogether. And, Vermont auto dealers have seen fewer customers coming through their doors. The danger signs that already have hit other states are now being felt as well in Vermont. We must act quickly to give individuals and businesses better access to the constrained credit markets, and time has been running out.

I opposed President Bush’s original blank check plan, which was fatally flawed on several counts. Since then, I have worked in good faith to fix its shortcomings, and several constructive changes have been made. I carefully weighed the new bill’s flaws and its improvements against the need for action to avert a wider credit crisis and the harm that would bring to Vermont and the nation.

The bill that the Senate voted on contained significant improvements to the $700 billion blank check first proposed by President Bush:

oIt provides greater checks and balances on the government’s authority. Any actions taken by the Treasury Secretary should be approved by an oversight board, supervised by an Inspector General, reviewed under the Administrative Procedures Act, and examined by the courts if there is a question of fraud or abuse. I fought and won to add the check-and-balance of judicial review.

oIt increases the government’s insurance of consumers’ and businesses’ bank deposits from $100,000 to $250,000. This would safeguard the savings deposits of families and businesses and farmers in Vermont and protect the checking accounts of businesses that continually need to buy materials, sell their products, and make their payrolls.

oIt tightens the restrictions on executive pay and bans golden parachutes for firms participating in the program. Under current law, there are no restrictions on the amount of executive compensation that Wall Street CEOs can be paid. With these people having their hand out for a federal bailout, we should limit executive pay and prohibit greedy executives from walking away from the mess they created with millions while regular American investors lose their savings and retirement funds.

I weighed the flaws and the improvements in the final plan against the worsening crisis. In the end, I came to the conclusion that, while it is far from perfect, the spreading national emergency tips the balance in favor of this revised rescue plan. With credit conditions deteriorating every day for businesses, public institutions, states, localities, and average Americans, I believe that acting now to help put our economy on an even keel is an even more urgent priority.

Vermonters are divided on this, and I know that many will disagree with my decision. I respect their views and appreciate the many suggestions they have made to improve this plan or to try other approaches. My decision to support this remedy did not come lightly or easily. In the end, though, the worsening crisis made the choice for me increasingly clear – and the stakes of doing nothing, significantly higher.

Thank you again for contacting me. Please keep in touch.

PATRICK LEAHY
United States Senator

I’ll be sure to keep in touch, Patrick. Real soon…

Hmmm….MSNBC Write:

Obama is another reason why McCain cannot be counted out, no matter what the tracking polls and Electoral College summaries are saying. There remains something about the senator from Illinois — the big-city, Ivy League, I-know-what’s-good-for-you smoothie — that makes many swing voters reluctant to accept him, even if you edit race out of the equation, which of course, you cannot.

INFORMATION IS POWER
////////////////////

but
THE MORE THE POSTS PILE UP on a given day — THE MORE good stuff WE MIGHT MISS
(especially when we can’t check the PUMA blog ‘till later in the day and we’re confronted with hundreds of posts)

Help us busy PUMAs find important or relevant info and salient points in your posts!

================

>> SOME HELPFUL TIPS >>
(especially useful for info-rich posts):

♥ -Use subject headings (in CAPS &/or bold)… think HEADLINE !!!

♥ -Highlight important or salient points in bold

♥ -Use attention-grabbing words (like **BREAKING NEWS** ect etc)

♥ -Write short, concise paragraphs (with SPACES in between them) or LIST your points or facts succinctly (like I’m doing here).

———-
> For making text bold, type the following codes before and after the text you want in bold… like this:

<B>text you want in bold</B>

For italics, it’s:
<I>text you want in italics</I>

……………
If you want to emphasize your entire post in bold (such as a short, important message) or make the last part of your post bold,
just type <B> at the top (or anywhere) and everything that follows will be in bold.

Nicfit: Regarding your sign: How about putting on it the amount of taxes that will increase under Obama…one area each day…Don’t know how much text your sign can show at a time

For example, you could show how much older (so called Senior Citizens would pay if they sold their house?) Show the increase in payroll taxes for various income groups. et al…one category a day or one category for a few hours then switch message.

>
>
> Thanks for sending out an alert about Obama. We are living and working in Kenya for almost twelve years now and know his family (tribe) well. They are the ones who were behind the recent Presidential election chaos here. Thousands of people have been displaced by election violence (over 350,000) and I don’t know the last count of the dead.
> Obama, under ‘friends of Obama’ gave almost a million dollars to the opposition campaign who just happened to be his cousin, Raila Odinga, who is a socialist trained in east Germany … He has been trying to bring Kenya down for years and the last president threw him in prison for trying to subvert this country!
>
> December 27th elections brought cries from ODM (Odinga Camp) of rigged election. Obama and Raila speak daily As we watch Obama rise in the US we are sure that whatever happens, he will use the same tactic, crying rigged election if he doesn’t win, and possibly cause a race war in America
> .
> What we would like you to know is what the American press has been keeping a dirty little secret. Obama IS a Muslim and he IS a racist and this is a fulfillment of the 9-11 threat that was just the beginning. Jihad is the only true Muslim way. We have been working with them for 20 years this July! He is not an American as we know it. Please encourage your friends and associates not to be taken in by those that are promoting him. It is world wide jihad. All our friends in Europe are very disturbed by the Muslim infiltration into their countries. By the way, his true name is Barak Hussein Muhammed Obama. Won’t that sound sweet to our enemies as they swear him in on the Koran!?
>
>
> God Bless you.
>
> Pray for us here in Kenya . We are still fighting for our nation to withstand the same kind of assault that every nation, including America , is fighting. Takeover from the outside to fit the new world order. As believers, this means we will be the first targets. Here in Kenya , not one mosque was burned down, but hundreds of churches were burned down, some with people in them, burned alive.
>
> Jesus Christ is our peace, but the new world order of Globalism has infiltrated the church and confused believers into thinking that they can compromise and survive. It won’t be so. I will send you a newsletter we sent out in February documenting in a more cohesive manner what I’ve tried to say in a few paragraphs.

from The Real Barack Obama blog:

“Keating Five” vs the “Obama Ten”
http://therealbarackobama.wordpress.com/2008/10/07/keating-five-vs-the-obama-ten/

“Liberals think that “Keating Five” is a worthy complaint about McCain. Yet most of those that spew the term don’t even know who they are. Once you learn that four of the five were Democrats, and two of the five (John Glenn and John McCain) were exhonerated and cleared of any wrongdoing you will wonder what the fuss is about. Then, when you look at Obama’s relationships you wonder who would even think of saying “Keating Five.” Therefore I give you the OBAMA TEN.”

Latest email from Sarah Palin regarding the debate.

********************************************

Dear Supporter,

Tonight, John McCain and Senator Barack Obama will debate in a town hall together for the very first time. You’ll have the opportunity to hear questions from everyday Americans and I know you’ll see the sharp contrast between the liberal plan for America and the reform plan for America.

This summer, John McCain proposed a series of weekly joint town hall meetings with Senator Obama. But Senator Obama – no stranger to saying one thing and doing another – reversed his position and backed out. Simply put, the Obama-Biden Democrats’ rhetoric doesn’t match their record.

Don’t be misled by the Obama-Biden Democrats. They’ve proven they’ll say anything to get elected. And it’s up to you and me to get the truth out to the American people. We are four weeks away from Election Day and we need your support to win important races across the country on November 4th. Will you join our team right now by making a contribution of any amount you can afford?

When push comes to shove, Senator Obama and his friends on the far-left will always tell you one thing and do another. They say the troops have their support, but turned around and voted to take away critical funding for our men and women in uniform. They talk about cutting taxes, but turn around and vote for tax increases. They say they’re for energy independence, but won’t support crucial off-shore drilling efforts. We just can’t trust them to lead.

If we sit on the sidelines, the Obama-Biden Democrats will win. But, with you on board, that won’t happen. McCain-Palin Victory 2008 helps fund the massive get-out-the-vote effort to elect our ticket from top to bottom. And we need your help to raise the millions needed for this program.

Will you follow this link and make a generous contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or even $2,000 to elect our ticket? Your contribution will help our Victory centers across the country with their voter turn- out efforts.

We’ll work together to tackle the big issues. We have a plan to strengthen the economy, keep your investments safe, create new jobs, reduce our dependence on foreign oil and provide the tax relief you need. But we won’t be able to do this unless you send us to Washington.

I’m asking you to put us one step closer to victory by giving any amount today – whether it’s $25 or $250 – every bit helps. Thank you for your support.
Sincerely,

Governor Sarah Palin

P.S. There’s only one ticket that will put country first, there’s only one ticket with a record of reform. With only four weeks until Election Day, your immediate financial support is needed to fund crucial get-out-the-vote efforts in battleground states and important races across the country. Will you make a donation of $25 or more right now? The stakes are high in this election. And with your support, we’ll elect the entire reform ticket from top to bottom. Thank you.

——————————————————————————–

Because the McCain-Palin Campaign is participating in the presidential public funding system, it may not receive contributions for any candidate’s election. However, federal law allows the McCain-Palin Campaign’s Compliance Fund to defray legal and accounting compliance costs and preserve the Campaign’s public grant for media, mail, phones, and get-out-the-vote programs. Contributions to McCain-Palin Victory 2008 will go to the Compliance Fund, and to participating party committees for Victory 2008 programs.

There’s no way I could EVER think of Bill Ayers as mainstream… just a neighbor down the street… or someone that should be controlling the education of young minds.

Everyone should read this article (link below)… and you’ll also get a glimpse into the concept of manipulating and controlling people through the fear of the race card. Ayers was experimenting with this idea way back into his youth. This man is appalling and I believe he hasn’t changed… he’s only doing his manipulation on a more subtle level.

Think about the information in the two videos below… and then think about how EVERYONE who was once an underground weathermen is now working in the education system. How these people don’t use reason… they aren’t critical thinkers.

This can be stopped but we should also demand our school systems go back to the basics like I remember in the 50′s and 60′s of focusing on the three r’s instead of all this mind numbing crap and teaching to the lowest common denominator and encouraging non-thinking behavior.

Does anyone know if Obama has a juvenile criminal record? How could we find out?

Henreitta, Obama grew up mostly in Indonesia and Hawaii, he was protected in both areas, as a Hawaiian Muslim he enjoyed a specific lifestyle through the Mosques and organizations to spawn the Muslim movement. WE can not even get a verifiable birth certificate on him as he was not actually born there but in Kenya and then registered as a Hawaiian citizen when he was four days old. He admitted to heavy drug usage in college. He said he did alcohol, pot, cocaine and some smack (crack). I am not sure his criminal ideology extended beyond his radical beliefs….

Osaka, I wonder how many death threats Bill Ayers has received over his life time. I would bet that when the picture of him standing on the flag must have prompted a myriad of threats.
I also wonder if he is in hiding again, you know like he did after the bombings.

Osaka Puma – on this morning’s thread you said:
“iowa.. you must be the only intelligent person in your state..
i’ve never seen such a huge collection of silly damn fool morons like iowans who have been slobbering goo-goo over obama ever since the primaries..
what the hell is wrong with the people in your state??”

(sorry for the late reply, been working)…

Well, there certainly is some slobbering going on & I’m sorry I can’t tell you why on earth some Iowa folks & especially why women would want to support Nobama. Usually people here have better sense. There is a syndrome here among liberals, though where the afflicted will go to almost any lengths to prove they are not prejudiced. I think there are liberals in other states similarly afflicted.

However, please remember, there was rampant caucus fraud here. So, if things were done fairly, who knows if BO would have won Iowa – I’m guessing not. So I guess what is really wrong with this state is that it is so easy to cheat the caucuses. Generally, people around here expect folks to behave honestly & we were really caught off guard by the unethical tactics which the Obama campaign used here. Then they took these tactics to other states with caucuses, with disastrous for our country.

#123 Pretjene on 10.07.08 at 6:44 pm

I heard about the screening on the radio, but here is an exerpt from the San Fransisco Chronicle, which talks about the 31 page agreed manifesto, and some other RULES for this “debate”

Town hall twists

– The in-studio questioner must not deviate from his or her question and cannot ask a follow-up question. Their microphones will be turned off after they ask their questions.

– The moderator cannot ask a follow-up.

– The camera cannot show the reaction of the questioner.

The moderator

Tom Brokaw, former NBC anchor and current interim host of NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Much like conservatives fretted that Thursday’s vice presidential moderator Gwen Ifill would be biased toward Obama, some liberal partisans worry that Brokaw may be leaning toward McCain. Some are ticked because he led the effort internally at NBC to remove Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann from both commentating and anchoring big election events. And others point to Brokaw performing shuttle diplomacy with the McCain campaign, promising that it could get fair coverage from NBC.

Has a lot of power – he screened all the questions.

Has little control of the flow – he can’t ask follow-ups or call out the candidates for blatant inaccuracies or distortions.

Real people ask the best questions

– Real folk at town hall debates ask more questions that are more in tune with what voters care about, according to University of Missouri associate professor Mitchell McKinney, who has studied town hall questions.

– A lot of the journalists’ questions tended to be about campaign strategy and inside politics stuff, McKinney said.

– Town hall questioners tend to personalize their inquiries – “I’m working two jobs and can’t afford health care” – making it harder for the candidates to dodge their questions – or turn them into an attack on their opponent.

Town hall dance

– McCain and Obama have to remain in their own “zones” on the stage, according to an agreement between the campaigns. So no going into the audience to hug a questioner and personally feel their pain.

– The candidates will have high director’s chairs to sit in, or they can stand when it is not their turn. The chairs even have footrests.

– The candidates cannot approach each other’s zone. This is the Al Gore rule – he was seen as hovering over George W. Bush in their 2000 town hall tete-a-tete.

– Candidates can’t approach each other with pledges to sign, a.k.a. the Lazio Rule, in honor of Rep. Rick Lazio, R-N.Y., who approached Hillary Rodham Clinton during their 2000 New York Senate debate to demand that she sign a pledge not to take soft money.

– Candidates cannot ask each other direct questions.

I am just not going to vote for Obama because he is a racist. LOL I’ve been hearing people say they are totally fed up with the racist crap and that if that’s how BO wants it, then he shouldn’t cry when there is a HUGE backlash on Nov 4 from all the people who have been quiet and not said anything. Add to all that the info about the Weathermen, Ayers & Co, socialist or communist leanings etc.
I think I have a better chance of borrowing $100,000.00 from the bank than BO does of getting elected.
For sure McCain and the Repubs know everything we do and more prolly and will undoubtly blast BO to hell and gone before Nov.

Nice.

Northern Neighbor – thanks for the growing “flyer distribution”. It is a great help and I will work on it tonight after debate.

Lets say a non denominational prayer – and make all sorts of pact with our God if McCain wins this debate big time and the polls turn around.

The one big reason why Obama is winning is because of the economy – and who knows if people driving this conversation is in the tank for Obama. Every one knows that the winds have changed,, the senior folks are pissed off at the pension, 401 K and retirement and are cutting off their nose to spite their face.

#169 Puff on 10.07.08 at 7:16 pm

#172 EWard on 10.07.08 at 7:19 pm

Senator McCain -

Please take the gloves off tonight and show the country that Senator Obama is unfit, unqualified, and unworthy to be President.

You have a very difficult task because it’s natural to blame the current economic disaster on the party in power. This presidential election is significant because we are very close to having a Manchurian candidate as President.

You must confront Obama on all his weaknesses because many people including Democrats do not trust him. Obama’s associations with Farrakhan, Ayers, Wright, Phleger, and others would be the equivalent of a Republican candidate being pals with David Duke.

We have your back and our prayers.

Go Senator McCain…………………

democratic party in a way is very similar to contemporary socialist parties in europe, italy, france, portugal, germany, norway, spain,.. etc , they all at some point had or have socialist governments, the economic system has not been altered no a whit, chile and brazile have socialist government that are doing pretty decent job,,etc,in fact brazile is the first time now that it has its own stock exchange
now what this bimbo wants to do is the overthrow of the political ,social and cultural systems as we know today more or less what chavez is doing in venezuela, maybe what castro has done in cuba, maybe like some of the african form of goverment, one word totalitarianism

Elections set for Illinois House, Senate; McKeon runs for Rep

by Trudy Ring

There are few hotly contested races for the Illinois General Assembly this year, although gays and lesbians certainly will follow with interest the race in the 34th Representative District, where Democrat Larry McKeon is endeavoring to become the first openly gay member of the legislature.

OUTLINES here provides information on all Chicago-area state candidates, drawn from OUTLINES and/or IMPACT questionnaires, information from other endorsing organizations, and the candidates’ voting records, particularly on state lesbigay-rights legislation and the state ban on same-sex marriage. If no information is given for a particular candidate, that means none was available.

Candidates endorsed by the Illinois Federation for Human Rights (IFHR) Political Action Committee all have either supported the state gay-rights bill or supported gay rights in another jurisdiction. Additionally, the IFHR PAC gave campaign contributions to all those who voted against the marriage ban. Those endorsed by Personal PAC have 100 percent pro-choice records or questionnaire responses; those rated “preferred” by Personal PAC have taken mostly pro-choice stances.

#215 carol on 10.07.08 at 7:56 pm

Well Hannity did mentioned BO’s connection to Khalidi but not Abunimah. do you suppose they are waiting to bring things out slowly? Seems to me it would be more effective to name them all.

Only Hannity is mentioning Khalidi. The others just keep mentioning Ayers and act as if there is nothing else. WhY?

Another thought. Perhaps the effort to skew the polls is so that after they commit election fraud, people won’t question the results because O was so far ahead??

1981, New York City: Just a Bizarre Coincidence?
October 7, 2008 by texasdarlin

It’s 1981, New York City. Barack Obama is residing two blocks away from Weather Underground leader William Ayers. We know very little about Obama’s life in NYC during that period; supposedly he transferred from Occidental College and completed undergraduate studies at Columbia University. Obama’s academic records and, in fact, the records of his life from those years in New York are lost. [See references at end.]

At Occidental, Obama belonged to Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), a radical socialist organization of which the Weather Underground was an off-shoot. Did Obama continue his SDS membership at Columbia? (I read recently that Columbia was a major SDS center.)

In 1981, former Weather Underground members along with a few former Black Panthers are arrested in association with the robbery of a Brinks armored truck 20 miles north of Manhattan. A guard is killed and the driver is wounded. $1.6 million is recovered.

One of the Weather Underground members arrested for the Brinks crime is Kathy Boudin. She is sentenced to 20 years-to-life. Boudin leaves behind a child, Chesa Boudin, who ends up being raised by Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn while her mother lives in prison.

One of the former Black Panthers arrested in connection with the Brinks robbery is Nathaniel Burns, a member of the Black Liberation Army. Burns is also known as Sekou Odinga. Burns/Odinga is sentenced to 25 years-to-life for attempted murder of a police officer. (ODINGA, sound familiar?)

Not sure if this video has been posted and it may be removed very soon by youtube. It is “similar” to the video last week of the school children singing praises to Obama. It is a militaristic Obama youth march and chant, they even have uniforms. Make sure you read the posters message under more info to the right, something very frightening is happening in this country. It appears anything negative being posted about Obama is being censored.

Sarah Palin is very popular here in Texas and has a broad age and gender base of appeal. I went to a local High School play over the weekend and 3 of the female seniors were wearing shirts with “lips” on the front side of the shirt and on the back is had “Sarah Palin in 08.”

A couple of the guys had shirts on the had “It may be the Biggest and Coldest State” (with a pic of Alaska) and on the back it read “but it has the hottest Governor.”

Ok, my (slightly) better half just had a conniption over my grassroots traveling billboard. So, I’ve had to change the motto (he refuses to admit publicly that we can’t “afford” anything… whatever.).

Now I’ve got “Don’t let the media sell you an empty suit” on there.

He’s convinced my car is going to get keyed or worse and is not very happy with what I thought was a brilliant plan.

Anyway, I’m still open to any catchy slogans anyone can think of to put there… at least until my tires get slashed!!

#233 notfollowinthepiedpiper on 10.07.08 at 8:05 pm

Just got back from an excruciating day taking hubby to the Dr. The lobby where I had to wait for an hour had CNN (Charlatan News Network) blaring on a huge TV. Since I was the only one there, and my blood pressure was going through the roof watching Wolf and friends smilin’n lyin’. I asked politely if they could change it to Fox. The receptionists flashed big Cheshire cat grins and said (I quote), “Dr’s orders, CNN only”! I said, “then he must support Obuma, please tell my husband he’ll find me waiting in the car when he’s done here.”

Worse, next week I have to sit for hours in this same lobby while my husband has THREE surgical procedures done. I can assure you I won’t be sitting there watching CNN. I hope Freddie can get those flyers to me by the 16th so I put them between the pages in all their magazines, roll them into the toilet paper rolls in the restrooms, put them on all the parked cars, pass them out to every patient that comes in …. then I’m going to strike up a little friendly conversation with anyone who will listen!

Back PUMAs,

I have GOOD NEWS to all of YOU. Videos from youtube i’ve forwarded to people I know and they pass it on to others are very EFFECTIVE!

The one that caught the attention of NObama supporters was the video of NObama and Raila Odinga; this is the feedback I’ve received from the person I’ve forwarded the video. She forwarded the video to NObama supporters, four of them called her right away on the phone and scared to death of NObama. They’re now voting for McCain.

And I’ve converted two young people today, both in their 20′s (male and female). Today is a good day! I’m one happy PUMA. ;)

Received another e-mail

Paula Abeles

Hi All:

We have a conference call set up tonight (Tuesday) at 8 pm EST
We will break promptly at 8:55 to give everyone a chance to settle in for the debate.

Here’s the info:

TONIGHT, Tuesday, October 7th at 8 pm EST
Tel: 218-936-7925
Access: 186306

WHAT are we doing?
Taking approx. 30 people to small HRC-lovin’ towns across Ohio to talk to people and hand-out Nobama flyers
WHEN:
Thursday, October 16th.
Participants will congregate in Columbus, OH—-
October 17th:
Bus will leave promptly at 8:30 am Friday, morning
October 17-19
We will stop all along the way (Marilu will give the travel itinerary tonight) and talk to people and pass out flyers.
We will travel throughout Ohio, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (we will return to Columbus by 5 pm)
We will stay overnight at motels in target destinations and share rooms to control costs.

We need to raise $2000 for gas for the bus, a few hundred for a sign and as much money as we can for flyers
Anyone that has info on people willing to donate the sign or flyers—please reach out to them.

If we can raise the money, we hope to go through Pennsylvania the following weekend (October 24th)—
and Virginia the weekend after that (October 31st).
If we can swing it, it would be great to go wherever McCain needs the most help Nov. 3-4th
People who can’t participate– can contribute directly on our website.

REMEMBER: DON’T believe the polls.
Obama wants everyone to think he is the “inevitable” winner—BUT At this time in 2000 and 2004– Gore was up 18 points and Kerry was up 15 (thanks, Thelma)
Don’t give up.
You can still make a difference!!!

Talk to you tonight…

Tie BO to ACORN, he worked for them, he was their lawyer on some voter fraud cases, he benefited from them by receiving money from them, he gave them grants from the Wood Fund and the Chicago Annenberg Project, and BO’s campaign paid them $800,000 to help secure this election. IE. they are paying those scum bags we encounter on every message board as well as those committing voter fraud in Ohio and elsewhere.

Connect Obama to Ayers for six years. Don’t know why Fox is saying five years. The Chicago Annenberg Challenge lost their money because it was deemed a “FAILURE”, by the Annenberg foundation. And it wasn’t just $50 million dollars, there matching dollars from the local government. That makes it over $100 million. Wood Fund, also millions of dollars to radicals.

One of the Annenberg “donations” was made to another old friend of Ayers from the Weather Underground days. Obama approved that money as chairman. This is a big story that the media just keeps playing down but it has everything to do with how Obama ended up where he is right now. He is the willing tool of the socialists who hate America and has been for decades.
