I just pick random numbers from the phone book. I say,
“Hi!!! I’m calling for the Barack Obama campaign and I’d just like to ask you to vote for John Mcain..”
They say something like “WHAT???”
I say,”Yes, seriously. There is so much controversy surrounding the campaign this year and so many people voting for BO, that we want to make sure the election is regarded as a fair vote, so we are asking people to vote for McCain/Palin.”
They answer, well, they just want to help him win, so ok.

#549 DancesWithPumas: I agree with you regarding Palin. I saw the Parker woman on CNN today trying to defend herself regarding the hate article she wrote about Palin. She seemed very stunned at the mail she had received. Her points were so stupid. She pointed out that Palins mannerisms don’t look like those of any VP before and that “that handicapped baby should not be up at 11:30pm” (which of course is 8:30 Seattle time which Trig is used to). I wrote in and told them, men and women do have different mannerisms and that there is nothing that says male mannerisms are the correct mannerisms for a VP. I am very sick of this sort of misogyny and I am sick of women having to pretend they are imitation males to get elected. I also told her she was like that woman on Howard Stern who after the men on the show have been free associating regarding something degrading to women comes out and affirms their BS in the name of all women.

There is actually more to the story than that, with the Clinton delegates being intimidated, threatened by the Obama campaign and the DNC, telling delegates that the DNC would not give their state chairmen money for their re-election if they did not vote in the convention for Obama instead of casting their votes to represent 18 million voters in the convention. We have twenty pages of notes from delegates to prove this.
You, as a Republican may not care to open this can of worms, but you can’t deny now knowing of the background of Obama, that the election WAS stolen from Senator Clinton, she knows about it and still has to play the good Democrat to have a future in the party.
There is a reason to find out about this information and expose it, if you did, you would win the respect of millions of Democrats that will not vote for a candidate that stole an election and you may win over their votes for John McCain. Millions feeling that no party cares about the candidate they voted for even though she won the popular vote.

just got back from a PriMed medical conference in NYC. I am totally
BO’d out. All over NYC – the conversations i overheard were so “ist” about Sarah Palin (sexistl, geographist? (horrible disparaging remarks about where she lives and the rural life) it was awful. Even at the conference the speakers from Harvard were throwing out anti Palin “jokes” it was disappointing to hear highly educated sound so oafish.
I am disappointed that many of the people speaking on the streets of NYC so rudely of our future vp were black, I mean I would hope to hear empathy as she is being slammed because of things beyond her control.
I really have no expectations of anyone except to treat others as they would like to be treated and to use the brain God gave them.

All along I thought my vote would not make any difference. I live in Millard which is in Douglas CO. and I have an Omaha address. Knowing that Nebraska is so heavily Republican, I thought my vote wouldn’t make any difference. Now, at least, I have some urgency about my vote.
I finally had a chance to watch SNL comedy with sarah palin vs joe biden. I was reading how horrible they were to sarah but I laughed and thought it was all good fun. I hope sarah would get more votes from the comedy skit.

All I was at the Texas State Fair this weekend. I was passing out anti obama flyers. PUMA flyers…was talking to a lot of people. Most were saying there were not going to vote and that their vote did not matter because the electriol votes are what matters. It is hard to convince people that they need to go out and vote. Some were saying that they were HRC supporters and could not vote for O. I told them that if they did not vote then O would have a better chance of getting into the white house. And if they voted for McCain, it would not be an endorsement but simply a vote for another chance for Hillary to run in 2012. I told them that if O won then Hillary would not have a chance in 2012. I told them that we could deal with McCain as he is not a true republican. He works with everyone and all parties. He will be fair and he will put this country first unlike Obama. I had my IPOD and was showing them the Odinga and other videos of his radicalism. I had them worried. I told them that if we allowed him to take office then we the american people would be in danger of living like Kenya. I told them to log into the PUMA website and see for themselves that we are HRC supporters against Obama. I hope that I convinced many. I did pass out 100 flyers each day…I only had one incident with one woman, an O supporter. To make a long story short she was very loud and nasty. I finally had to use the f word which I felt bad afterwards. But I did walk away even though she was yelling stuff at me…I was hoping I would not get thrown out or arrested for passing election stuff..

I must confess I was not impressed by Sen. Barack Obama from the first time I saw him. At first I was excited to see a black candidate. He looked youthful, spoke well, appeared to be confident – a wholesome presidential package. It is so instinctive for most people to want to see blacks succeed. It is as if all humanity is carrying a collective guilt for what the ancestors of blacks endured. However, despite my initial interest in him, I was put off soon, not just because of his shallowness but also because there was an air of haughtiness in his demeanor that was unsettling. His posture and his body language were louder than his empty words.
It is surreal to see the level of hysteria in his admirers. This phenomenon is unprecedented in American politics. Women scream and swoon during his speeches. They yell and shout to Obama, “I love you.” Never did George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt. Martin Luther King Jr. or Ronald Reagan arouse so much raw emotion. Despite their achievements, none of them was raised to the rank of Messiah. The Illinois senator has no history of service to the country. He has done nothing outstanding except giving promises of change and hyping his audience with hope. It’s only his words, not his achievements that is causing this much uproar.
When cheering for someone turns into adulation, something is wrong. Excessive adulation is indicative of a personality cult. The cult of personality is often created when the general population is discontent. A charismatic leader can seize the opportunity and project himself as an agent of change and a revolutionary leader. Often, people, tired of the status quo, do not have the patience to examine the nature of the proposed change. All they want is change. During 1979, when the Iranians were tired of the dictatorial regime of the late Shah, they embraced Khomeini, not because they wanted Islam, but because he promised them change. The word in the street was, “anything is better than the Shah.” They found their error when it was too late.
Khomeini promised there would be separation between religion and state. He lied and they did not care to look into his past to see whether he actually meant what he said. Had they done that they would have seen that he always believed in caliphate and the rule of Islam. People gobbled everything he told them uncritically. They wanted to believe and therefore closed their eyes so they did not see what they did not want to see. Eyes welled when he spoke. Masses poured into the streets by the millions, screamed and shouted to greet him. People kissed his pictures. Some saw his portrait reflected on the Moon.
Listening to Obama … it harkens back to when I was younger and I used to watch Khomeini, how he would excite the crowd and they’d come to their feet and scream and yell.
I was amused to hear a listener calling Fox News Radio’s Tom Sullivan Show, (Feb 11) and saying: “Listening to Obama … it harkens back to when I was younger and I used to watch those deals with Hitler, how he would excite the crowd and they’d come to their feet and scream and yell.” ( Videos of Hitler’s speeches are available on Youtube. They are worth a look.)
Equating anyone to Hitler by highlighting the similarities between the two is a logical fallacy. This fallacy, known as reductio ad Hitlerum is a variety of both questionable cause and association fallacy. I believe it is wrong to trivialize the holocaust and the horrors of Nazism by comparing our opponents to Hitler.
However, Hitler, prior to coming to power had not killed anyone. He was insane, but few could see that. Far from it, he was seen as a gifted man and hailed as the savior of Germany. He was admired throughout the world. He appealed to the masses of people – the working class and particularly to women, and did not just inspire them, he “elevated” them. Thousands rallied to listen to his passionate speeches. They shed tears when he spoke. Women fainted during his speeches. To Germans, he was not a politician, but a demigod, a messiah. They envisioned him as truly a magical figure of majestic wisdom and glory. They worshiped him. They surrendered their wills to him. He restored their national pride. He projected himself as their savior. He ran on the platform of change and hope. Change he delivered all right, but hopes he shattered.
I think it is fair to say that the Illinois senator puts the same passion in his speeches that Hitler used to put in his, and he evokes similar raw emotions in his audience. This much we can agree. Okay, we can also agree that both Hitler and Charlie Chaplin wore square moustaches. So what?
The Cult of Personality
There are other disturbing similarities. Like Hitler and Khomeini, Obama also likes to create a cult of personality around himself. As stated above, when a large number of a population is discontent, a charismatic leader can seize the opportunity and present himself as the agent of change. He can create a cult of Personality by associating himself with the idea of change. He convinces everyone that things are terrible and a drastic change is needed. He then casts himself as the only person who can deliver this revolutionary transformation that everyone is waiting for. He portrays himself as a benevolent guide; the only one who cares about people and their needs and can pull them out of their alleged misery. In reality, they have no clue about how to address the problem – have no experience, no track record. But they are convincing because they are self assured.
These revolutionary leaders need foes. They exaggerate the problems. They make everything look gloomy. They lie, cheat and slander their opponents while casting themselves as the saviors of the nation. Hitler chose the Jews to blame for everything that was wrong in Germany. Khomeini made the Shah and his westernization plans his scapegoats. Obama has chosen President George W. Bush to smear. He can rally people around himself, as long as he can instill in them the dislike of Bush and equate his rival, McCain to him. Sigmund Freud wrote, “It is always possible to bind together a considerable number of people in love, so long as there are other people left over to receive the manifestations of their aggressiveness” (Civilization and Its Discontents).
A cult of personality is excessive adulation, admiration and exaltation of a charismatic leader, often with unproven merits or achievements. It is similar to hero worship except that it is created specifically for political leaders.
Somebody on the McCain Blog just posted that they don’t think exposing BO’s ties will accomplish anything… they said people are all “burned out” with hearing all that stuff and are tuning it out anyway. I hope with all my heart that they are wrong… because this is really the only McCain can will is for people to open their eyes to the reality of having a terrorist “under cover” at the white house…

I was pro carter and lived in mostly republican San Diego, then there was Mondale and Ferraro, a new day dawned with the Clintons but the republicans attempted to rip all his successes away because of his personal screwups, I am now in a very republican part of NY which votes party consistently and when I go to the “liberal”parts of NY I get hear about the almighty O, then on top of that the Chargers are losing everytime I watch. The GOP would rather have McCain down in the polls than up. That way they can attack without penalty. And, as long as Obama thinks he is winning, he won’t attack back. We all know that the polls are very misleading lately. There are a number of reasons for this, but for the last 4 or 5 elections, they have been significantly wrong.
At this point the only poll that makes a difference is being held on Nov. 4.

I keep telling myself the media are in their own little world– skewing polling numbers, reporting this big Obama lead… it just doesn’t FEEL right, in my gut. I’m not seeing THAT much of a ground swell for the One, you know?
I’ve stopped watching it. Even Fox News seems in the can for O-no, now. Every time I turn it on he’s sitting there, blathering away with his BS talking points. I suppose I’m just burying my head in the sand…
But this election (at least around here– near Boulder, CO) seems so much more civilized than the last one. The Bush/Kerry election was downright vicious. But I see about equal numbers of signs (in a HEAVILY Dem area)… and I just don’t HEAR people talking about how much they love him. Ever. Maybe I just don’t want to… or I’m just never around people who love him. When I visited NYC last month on the other hand, oh lord, you couldn’t go ANYWHERE without overhearing people singing his praises. But I just kept thinking “That’s ok. We know NYC will vote for O-crap, but MY vote COUNTS– I live in a swing state!” Course, I was staying at the same hotel as the One (there for the 9-11 event… where was Michelle again?!?!)… don’t even get me started on how much that sucked! Waiting around for his highness to enter and exit (they wouldn’t let you in or out of the lobby/street if he was on the move)… you should have seen the military escorts– almost as nauseating as the morons who clapped like mindless drones whenever he walked by. I keep thinking that Nov. 5th will come and there will have been a blowout of the the O-man so much that the media and the election cheats won’t be able to cover it up and will have to admit defeat for their boy.
Then I turn on the tv and it seems I’m just wishful thinking.
I’m trying hard to keep the faith… I got my mail-in ballot yesterday. The box for McCain is already checked. And I made my husband check his in front of me… HA! “Vote for McCain or no nookie for you!” Maybe women for McCain should adopt THAT as a campaign slogan.
Sorry to ramble… just looking for comfort in an uneasy world. I heard Bill Kristol today talking about how O-no should have this wrapped up considering the mess of Bushie, but he doesn’t because he is ultimately inexperienced and we’re fighting two wars and the everything is uncertain, and the way he said it, like the reality that this idiot could get the reins… it chilled me. I’d almost forgotten we are fighting two wars after all the wall street turmoil and when he reminded me of it and that Oblahblah could be in control– oh my god.
Ok, I’ve rambled on long enough and now I’ve re-scared myself. Sorry.
Does anyone here know that McCain did the most stupid thing? He told Bo that he will air out all of Bo’s associations on the day of the debate. What kind of stradegy is this? Give your enemy your secret weapon! (heard this on Fox this afternoon)
So far, I have not been wrong on any predictions that I have made this year. First I predicted that Hillary would win the popular vote. She did. Then I predicted that the surge would work. It did. I also predicted the mortgage crisis would do just what it did. (I made that one 4 years ago.) I also predicted that McCain would pick a woman. Let us just say that I knew that Kennedy would be struck by some illness. I don’t know how I knew that, but it happened too. I was not at all shocked.
I have a list of this stuff somewhere. So far, I have not been significantly wrong on anything Bush has done or that Obama has done.
PUMAs calm down, we democrats tend to panic, I remember in 2000 and 2004, I was thinking Gore and Kerry will win, I was so excited, GOP don’t say anything, we were all celebrating way ahead of everybody, ahead of general election. Every chatline are all cheering for Gore in 2000 and Kerry in 2004; I remember my GOP friend said to me; ” don’t get too excited you’re in for a let down.” He said the same thing in 2000, the same in 2004. He was right.
The difference between GOP and Dems, GOP tend to stay calm and collected, they don’t go for the hype or join with the panic. They’re not feisty like the Dems, they tend to stay in the sideline, but during election time, rest assured they’ll cast their vote. In 2000 and 2004, Gore and Kerry were ahead in every polls you can think of especially Zogby.
Do what you can for McPalin, we MUST defeat NObama.

McCain told the press he would bring out Obama’s past to rattle Obama. If he can catch Obama in a lie, or tie him to someone crooked during the debate, he can put Obama on the run. McCain may have some information about those missing college years. He may even have the thesis or something else damming.
One thing never to do is count out McCain. He has been able to keep on standing when everyone else thought he would have to quit. And he has done it on very little money.
Obama is a coward. McCain isn’t. McCain will not let him off the hook once he has him on it.
Today (since it is past midnight) is my 35th wedding anniversary. Hubby just told me I have to go to bed.

I just watched Hannity’s special on Obama and it brings to mind Asian4Hillary’s post from downstairs. I haven’t read the book yet…but, if it is valid (we all know Asian is usually on the mark) then, I would suggest that we all arm ourselves in case the enemy IS among us. To the American people they thought 9/11 was an isolated event, it wasn’t. Prior to 9/11 US Embassy was bombed, in 1993 World Trade Center was bombed.
The people must ask themselves, why is it HAMAS contributed money to NObama campaign? They must ask themselves why Nobama had campaign fundraising in Nigeria? They must ask themselves why is it Middle Eastern countries especially countries like Libya, Iran, Syria wanted NObama to be President?
If this country falls this November, the American people has no one to blame but themselves. If the American people are concern of their own well being, of their own country; they better stop NObama, if they don’t, they better call all the Gods and saints.

The Clintons spent THREE DAYS in Denver, at the CONVENTION, doing a deal with Obama about that BS roll call and Hillary stepping down. Somewhere in all of that deal brokering in Denver, which got REALLY UGLY behind the scenes, the Clintons agreed to support and endorse Obama. Some of us think it was about paying off HRC’s campaign debt. Others think she was threatened to be disempowered as a Senator. Either way, it’s BS. Where is Hillary? She’s doing what she thinks she has to. Bill has been way better at saying what he REALLY thinks…that McCain and Palin are great people. If you have a brain, you can read between the lines that they hate Obama and want you to vote for McCain. Months ago, I was told that the Clintons were having a dinner with McCain to “secretly help him strategize his campaign” and I think that’s where the Palin idea was born. HRC must be laughing her azz off about this woman who is captivating America. It’s a shame they can’t/won’t tell the truth about Obama. But if you know anything about politics, you would never believe the Clintons truly support that scumbag Obama.

It has become very depressing and stressful. They are so in the tank, that they just don’t care about anything that is anti-obama – or fraudulent caucuses or sham roll calls. Diva Two: I already started doing that on my own. This past week I sent out emails to as many of the other (not FOX) media outlets (cable, network, newspapers, etc) that I could identify – and my subject line was:
“Where’s the story on Obama & ACORN? (asked by a Black Woman not voting for Obama)”.
I think it is important that these other news sources know that we see they are protecting BO by not reporting on this.
In my emails, in addition to sharing my personal opinions about (1) why this story needs to be covered, (2) expressing what I thought about them not presenting this story and (3) sharing why I thought they were not covering the story — (4) I also included links to news articles including that great 9/29/08 article by Stanley Kurtz.
I also asked in my emails why they have not reported on Obama’s campaign refusal to share names of their smaller donors (less than $200).
This week I plan to send emails to as many Fox personalities & news programs thanking them for telling the truth about BO.

OMG they just had this AA woman on and she was talking and picking up the homeless people and she was telling them how to vote. The man interviewing her said you are telling them to vote Obama and she said Yes. He said ok so you pick homeless people up and you tell them to vote BO and she said yes. Steve from fox news just said he was out to dinner the other day and saw a group of people getting a group of GERMANS to vote and he walked up and said can I vote they said yes he said I don’t have any ID or something like that and they said you don’t need it.

Are you signed up as a poll worker? Go through your local election board or go to the GOP. They have a volenteer poll watcher program here.
You can get free McCain/Palin yard signs at a local GOP victory center. They are plastic covers on frames. The cover can be removed and cut into two plastic posters. There is other stuff available for cheap.
There was this one posting of two ObamUah signs on my way to work that bugged me. I got a nice McCain/Palin sign and a ladder and posted it above the BO stuff. It made theirs look tacky.

Just watched Sarah on Fox. She was great! She covered all areas including Ayers. The Obama camp is really upset right now because this issue is not going away. Lanny Davis said that McCain will lose big time if he continues to be negative toward Obama.
