Hi Everyone! I have been on PUMA withdrawl for about three weeks now. The first two weeks were consumed with our church homecoming and a job opening that I applied for. Everything went great! After almost four years without a job, I finally got this one! YIPEE!!!! Now I can purchase some PUMA gear!! This week has been so hectic with having to learn so many different things around the office. One more thing to add with the new job… a nasty cold! Everyone in my family has it. I’ve been so behind on my prowls. With everything going on at the church, my job, and being sick, time management just sucks! I have to do better! Thank you all for what you are doing and I will be checking in to see what is up as much as I can.

Of course, Hillary says it’s not a zero sum game and that everyone should have fairness. But I couldn’t find any statistics about gender disparity with women’s wages.
oh, mountainsong, I watched a documentary on intersexed folks. The documentary mainly focused on an intersex advocacy group of people who were thankful their parents did not opt for any surgical procedures when they were babies.

I can’t imagine how hard that must have been for you. I grew up knowing I was female but intellectually I wasn’t sure I wanted to identify with women. Now that I am older, I have found enough women that I can identify with to be proud of being a woman (My mom, a few friends and women I work for, Hillary, some of the women I have met on this blog) but I have a low tolerance for women that are older and yet let others think for them. Men that are daft, I see as dim but women being that way some how really gets to me. Not sure why, maybe because my older sisters do not think for themselves much?

1. TAX VOTE: Biden said McCain voted “the exact same way” as Obama to increase taxes on Americans earning just $42,000, but McCain DID NOT VOTE THAT WAY.
2. AHMEDINIJAD MEETING: Joe Biden lied when he said that Barack Obama never said that he would sit down unconditionally with Mahmoud Ahmedinijad of Iran. Barack Obama did say specifically, and Joe Biden attacked him for it.
3. OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING: Biden said, “Drill we must.” But Biden has opposed offshore drilling and even compared offshore drilling to “raping” the Outer Continental Shelf.”
4. TROOP FUNDING: Joe Biden lied when he indicated that John McCain and Barack Obama voted the same way against funding the troops in the field. John McCain opposed a bill that included a timeline, that the President of the United States had already said he would veto regardless of it’s passage.
5. OPPOSING CLEAN COAL: Biden says he’s always been for clean coal, but he just told a voter that he is against clean coal and any new coal plants in America and has a record of voting against clean coal and coal in the U.S. Senate.
6. ALERNATIVE ENERGY VOTES: According to FactCheck.org, Biden is exaggerating and overstating John McCain’s record voting for alternative energy when he says he voted against it 23 times.
7. HEALTH INSURANCE: Biden falsely said McCain will raise taxes on people’s health insurance coverage — they get a tax credit to offset any tax hike. Independent fact checkers have confirmed this attack is false
8. OIL TAXES: Biden falsely said Palin supported a windfall profits tax in Alaska — she reformed the state tax and revenue system, it’s not a windfall profits tax.
9. AFGHANISTAN / GEN. MCKIERNAN COMMENTS: Biden said that top military commander in Iraq said the principles of the surge could not be applied to Afghanistan, but the commander of NATO’s International Security Assistance Force Gen. David D. McKiernan said that there were principles of the surge strategy, including working with tribes, that could be applied in Afghanistan.
10. REGULATION: Biden falsely said McCain weakened regulation — he actually called for more regulation on Fannie and Freddie.
11. IRAQ: When Joe Biden lied when he said that John McCain was “dead wrong on Iraq”, because Joe Biden shared the same vote to authorize the war and differed on the surge strategy where they John McCain has been proven right.

One trip back from Paris (my first and only time) the flight was so bad, but the crazy Parisians were laughing and drinking with each swoop of the plane. I thought it would be the end.. but I really thought it WAS the end on 9/11 when I was coming back from an International trip with my mom and the plane landed in San Fran instead of SanDiego and swat team , about 15 of them stormed into the plane with their AK 47’s (or what looked like) . There were about 10 middle easterners at the back and I thought for sure we were going to have a fire exchange in the plane. We were all told to put our heads between our legs… That was a God making pact.. little mini pact..

I have a son, he is now 25 and I am really proud of the man he is turning into. He still has his faults as we all do, but I let him be a little boy. He had his heros, Superman. I thought he was a good hero, so I encouraged it by making his first cape and when he turned 21 I made him a big fuzzy blanket, dark blue with a huge red and gold, satin Superman symbol on it. On the side I embroidered, “May you always strive to be someone’s hero.”
I think letting your children enjoy their childhood and encourage them to be aware of what is fantasy and gently let them see what is also real. I remember the day my son asked me if Santa was real, and of course ask me the same day if Superman was real. That was a hard day. I did tell him the idea of Superman was real, that someone could go beyond a normal deed to help a stranger in need…but they couldn’t have the fantasy of being able to fly. Birds were given that gift.

No one knew what was going on because all planes were ordered off the air. So they just figured all these people… we didn’t know either until we got off the plane and all these TV’s were set up for us in the lounge. It was weird,, we were stuck in San Fran with no way to get back home – my husband had to drive 9 hours to come get us. It was so sad a day. I just watched and cried all day. That is one of the reasons why I just feel that so strongly about Obama being in the White House. All indications say his heart is not in the right place – regardless of how great his issues are.

I wish people would prowl the Obama kids singing because I think it would hit home with a lot of people sitting on the fence. They would realise the undercurrent of this campaign. People don’t realise what is happening but one day, they will remember it all started during Obama..and they will wonder why no one saw it coming and why no one tried to stop it.

• Biden incorrectly said “John McCain voted the exact same way” as Obama on a controversial troop funding bill. The two were actually on opposite sides.
• Biden wrongly claimed that McCain “voted the exact same way” as Obama on the budget bill that contained an increase on singles making as little as $42,000 a year. McCain voted against it. Biden was referring to an amendment that didn’t address taxes at that income level.
• Biden wrongly claimed that McCain had said “he wouldn’t even sit down” with the president of Spain. Actually, McCain didn’t reject a meeting, but simply refused to commit himself one way or the other during an interview.

• Biden was correct only to the extent that the resolution Obama supported would not by itself have increased taxes; it was a vote on a budget resolution that set revenue and spending targets. The amendment passed 99-1, with only Democratic Sen. Russ Feingold dissenting. It would have preserved some of Bush’s tax cuts for lower-income people. • Biden said five times that McCain’s tax plan would give oil companies a “$4 billion tax cut.” As we’ve noted previously, McCain’s plan would cut the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 25 percent — for ALL corporations, not just oil companies. Biden uses a Democratic think tank’s estimate for what the rate change is worth to the five largest U.S. oil companies.
• Biden said that Iraq had an “$80 billion surplus.” The country was once projected to have as much as a $79 billion surplus, but no more. The Iraqis have $29 billion in the bank, and could have $47 billion to $59 billion by the end of the year, as we noted when Obama used the incorrect figure. A $21 billion supplemental spending bill, passed by the Iraqi legislature in August, knocked down the old projection.
• Biden said four times that McCain had voted 20 times against funding alternative energy. However, in analyzing the Obama campaign’s list of votes after the first presidential debate, we found the number was actually 11. In the other instances the Obama-Biden campaign cites, McCain voted not against alternative energy but against mandatory use of alternative energy, or he voted in favor of allowing exemptions from these mandates.

We are only a grain of sand on the horizon. There are so many people who don’t get involved in politics until voting day, but don’t ever think that they don’t pay attention to what’s going on. They do.
sistermoon3 well like I said before I am sure Bill had to go out for BO because of his appearances on some of the shows lately the reporters and such made it look like he was in the tank for McCain. So I’m sure he was “forced” to go out and show he wasn’t (to save face for Hillary’s future) but I totally agree with what you are saying it makes me sick that they are doing this.
