Monkeys in Fancy Pants?

The members of Puma PAC were FAR more likely on Tuesday to want Congress to LET IT CRASH! than the folks who responded to Gallup. Apparently, we Pumacrats tend to think of the jokers on Wall Street as Monkeys in Fancy Pants; and we think of our leaders across the board as Organ Grinders.

Most of Gallup’s respondents (57%)  wanted Congress to go back to the Drawing Board and come up with a new plan, while only 35% of our members did.  HERE’s what Gallup found. And here’s what their graph looks like:

And here’s what we found in our first Puma PAC Poll:

Answer Text Votes %
No Bailout for Billionairz. Period. 366 55%
Back to the Drawing Board! 233 35%
Patch it up quick and pass it ASAP! 66 10%

SO, 55% of us say NO WAY to any Bailout for Billionairz, and 35% of us want Congress to go back to the Drawing Board and stop telling us the sky is falling. The losing proposition: Patch it Up Quick and Pass It ASAP! appealed to only 10% of Puma PAC members. That seems to be what Congress is in fact about to do, so if I do my arithmetic correctly, roughly 90% of us must be pretty unhappy with Congress right about now! Which all adds up! Because Gallup also found that the approval rating for how Nancy and Harry’s Congress is handling the financial crisis is about 40% — sharply divided along partisan lines.

82% of Republican voters disapprove of the Dems in Congress, and 86% of Democratic voters disapprove of the Repubs. Interestingly, Independents are  are disapproving of each party pretty evenly — 69% disapprove of the Dems, and 73% of Independents disapprove of the Repubs. WOW. Congress is REALLY unpopular with Independents, and EVERYONE knows that it’s the Independents who decide Presidential elections.

I don’t know sly , but I’m convinced that we have to keep the pressure on in your state . Even though your SOS and Atty. General have bent the rules in Xos favor in order to do all of this same day voting , I think they are going to have to make sure every single vote is legit . They are not prepared to deal with the scrutiny and the pressure we are going to be putting on them . I am going to start writing the Ohio new stations as soon as I compile some more facts to bomb them with ….

The old poll was flawed. you simply should ask do you support congress. with a zero percent we would know the answer.

this 2nd poll is slightly flawed.

Pass this pig quick and run like hell! This is a political stinker! 0% (0 votes)

If you added to this question

put lipstick on the obama pig and throw obama to the dogs it would have all the votes.

Ifull is definitely NOT IMPARTIAL.

I could care less about who she is. This is about electing a President. This is NOT about her this is about hundred million people wanting a fair and honest election.

IFILL is definitely biased. That is the definition of bias. She is biased. She has a favorite to be elected President. She will sell more books if Obama is elected. it is simple money.

She should step down and recuse herself. This is important for the reputation of PBS. She should not politicize PBS. I am shocked that PBS will allow her to moderate with her book coming out. Jim Lehrer has worked for some 30 years to make a neutral PBS News. Ifill can mess that up in 90 minutes. The public needs to feel the debate is beyond reproach.

I am not sure the “I” was a Yes vote, because some of the NO votes first where announced as I, then they voted again and it was announced as NO. There were other bills they voted on and I heard the same thing Yes, NO, and I, and some of the I’s stayed I. In this case all the votes changed to Yes and No.

So Ifill thinks she is being rejected because of racism? Then she doesn’t understand that concept enough to even be a tele journalist!

Every profession has an ethics rule against conflict of interest. The news media has bent that rule for many years. This election it has been an epidemic of onesided editorializing. This time it goes beyond the pale. For her to have written a book about this election cycle and called it the Obama Era is grounds for taking her off PBS, much less this debate.

This racism mantra has to be squelched NOW.

Why is FEC Keeping Lid on OBAMA SCANDAL?

It looks as if Senator Obama may have received MORE THAN $200 MILLION in illegal donations including millions overseas campaign donations. Four times during the last three months an FEC Auditor has asked his bosses to start an investigation into Senator Obama’s illegal campaign donations such as this one

Similarly, a donor identified as “Pro, Doodad,” from “Nando, NY,” gave $19,500 in 786 separate donations, most of them for $25. For most of these donations, Mr. Doodad Pro listed his employer as “Loving” and his profession as “You,” etc.

Thought we could all use some humor these days:

Why did the chicken cross the road? (Something for everyone…)

BARACK OBAMA
The chicken crossed the road because it was time for change ! The chicken wanted change !
~
JOHN McCAIN
My friends, that chicken crossed the road
because he recognized the need to engage in cooperation and dialogue with all the chickens on the other side of the road.
~
HILLARY CLINTON
When I was First Lady, I personally helped that little chicken to cross the road. This experience makes me uniquely qualified to ensure, right from Day One,
that every chicken in this country gets the chance it deserves to cross the road. But then, this really isn’t about me.
~
GEORGE W. BUSH
We don’t really care why the chicken crossed the road.
We just want to know if the chicken is on our side of the road, or not. The chicken is either against us, or for us.
There is no middle ground here.
~
DICK CHENEY
Where’s my gun???
~
COLIN POWELL
Now to the left of the screen, you can clearly see the satellite image of the chicken crossing the road.

~
BILL CLINTON
I did not cross the road with that chicken.
What is your definition of chicken?

~
AL GORE
I invented the chicken.
~
JOHN KERRY
Although I voted to let the chicken cross the road, I am now against it! It was the wrong road to cross, and I was misled about the chicken’s intentions. I am not for it now, and will remain against it.
~
AL SHARPTON
Why are all the chickens white?
We need some black chickens!
~
DR. PHIL
The problem we have here is that this chicken won’t realize that he must first deal with the problem on this side of the road before it goes after the problem on the other side of the road. What we need to do is help him realize how stupid he’s acting by not taking on his current problems before adding new problems.
~
OPRAH
Well, I understand that the chicken is having problems,
which is why he wants to cross this road so bad.
So, instead of having the chicken learn from his mistakes and take falls, which is a part of life,
I’m going to give this chicken a car so that he can just drive across the road and not live his life like the rest of the chickens.

~
ANDERSON COOPER, CNN
We have reason to believe there is a chicken,
but we have not yet been allowed to have access to the other side of the road.
~
NANCY GRACE
That chicken crossed the road because he’s guilty!
You can see it in his eyes and the way he walks.

~
PAT BUCHANAN
To steal the job of a decent, hardworking American.
~
MARTHA STEWART
No one called me to warn me which way that chicken was going. I had a standing order at the Farmer’s Market to sell my eggs when the price dropped to a certain level. No little bird gave me any insider information!
~
DR. SEUSS
Did the chicken cross the road?
Did he cross it with a toad?
Yes, the chicken crossed the road, but why it crossed I’ve not been told.
~
ERNEST HEMINGWAY
To die – In the rain – Alone.
~
JERRY FALWELL
Because the chicken was gay!
Can’t you people see the plain truth?
That’s why they call it ‘the other side.’
Yes, my friends, that chicken is gay.
And if you eat that chicken, you will become gay too!
I say we boycott all chickens, until we sort out this abomination that the liberal media whitewashes
with seemingly harmless phrases like ‘the other side.’
That chicken should not be crossing the road.
It’s as plain and as simple as that!
~
GRANDPA
In my day, we didn’t ask why the chicken crossed the road. Somebody told us the chicken crossed the road, and that was good enough.
~
BARBARA WALTERS
Isn’t that interesting? In a few moments, we will be listening to the chicken tell, for the first time,
the heart warming story of how it experienced a serious case of molting, and went on to accomplish its lifelong dream of crossing the road.
~
ARISTOTLE
It is the nature of chickens to cross the road.
~
JOHN LENNON
Imagine all the chickens in the world crossing roads together…in peace.
~
BILL GATES
I have just released eChicken2008, which will not only cross roads, but will lay eggs, file your important documents, and balance your checkbook. Internet Explorer is an integral part of eChicken2008.
This new platform is much more stable and will never reboot.
~
ALBERT EINSTEIN
Did the chicken really cross the road?
Or did the road move beneath the chicken?
~
COLONEL SANDERS
Oh!!!
Did I miss one???

People may not want the bailout but the reality is that as long as the media focus remains on congress & the senate voting on the bailout – then the more McCain’s numbers will drop. The media focus on the legislative bodies including President Bush only keeps the heat on the Republicans. You see the media is not talking much about the Dems & the bailout – it’s mostly about the President & the republicans in congress.

And that media focus makes people sit at home and “stew” about the current administration – especially (according to the polls) older Americans with 401ks losing money – people who were in the past supporting McCain who are now changing to BO.

McCain’s numbers are dropping because people are unhappy with Bush & the current congress & senate – and they see McCain as the candidate who has been a part of the system the longest so he’s viewed as one of “them” that made this mess.

If anyone seriously wants to see McCain’s numbers rebound let alone beat BO in the election then you better hope that congress passes this bailout and that the news story changes from the republicans to include some other political stories like BO & ACORN.

Right now BO benefits simply by not being a long-timer on capitol hill and because he’s not republican like the sitting President. He doesn’t have to say much except “let’s make change” and people cheer.

As long as congress doesn’t pass this bailout then we will see McCain’s numbers keep dropping and eventually tank.

I wasn’t necessarily for the bailout either – but I don’t want BO as President even more.

Every time the republicans in congress talk on tv or the President opens his mouth – people think of McCain because so many of those being viewed on tv are older men – like McCain. Whereas BO looks young & fresh & different so he’s gaining in votes simply by not being like the rest.

Younger voters are especially being swayed by the desire to not vote for anyone who seems to be affiliated with President Bush. So they are easily choosing BO over McCain as long as the bailout is the main news story.

I am hoping that congress passes the bailout and maybe then the media & pundits will start talking more about the candidates again. If that happens then all the negative stories about BO can once again get some air-time and there will be hope for McCain’s numbers to go back up.

But if congress drags on this bailout for more weeks, then McCain’s numbers will continue with the downward turn and there won’t be a lot of time to turn that around.

With Palin’s numbers also going down – even if she does “okay” but not great in the VP debate, McCain still has problems. And heaven help McCain’s numbers if Palin tanks tonight.

I’m not for the bailout because like others I don’t have credit cards or plan to buy a house or seeking a loan or own a business. So I can personally wait this out until they get it right.

But in light of the fact that waiting it out only increases BO’s chances of winning and keeps McCain’s numbers to going down – I’ve now decided I want this bailout thing to pass through SOON in hopes that McCain’s campaign will have time to get the media’s attention back on BO’s negative aspects, plus they will have time to try to mend the damage & get McCain’s numbers back up.

Having congress hold up the bailout and not pass the bill is only going to sink McCain as a contender against BO. I don’t want BO to win this presidency – do you?

#25 Henerietta on 10.02.08 at 8:52 am

I want to address something about the bail out.

The seeds for this mess were planted in 1996. Not because of anything that President Clinton did, but because of the software industry. They began developing software that allowed for automated processing and underwriting of mortgage loans. The concept was that if the loan originator (bank or mortgage officer) would prepare or have prepared, the various parts of the file, then submit it to an automated electronic underwriting system, approval or rejection could be automatic without a certified person reading it.

Though the concept was good, to a point, it allowed for massive processing of loans. Loan originators learned how to ‘jazz’ the system, but inserting certain key words, leaving out certain things, etc. They are paid on commission, so if the loan was turned down, they lost money. In addition to that, large appraisal managment companies signed on to do this work for the lender. These companies forced independent appraisers to submit things to their data base, then devised a system to mine that data and turn it into huge data bases where they could bypass the appraiser altogether with something called an Automated Value Model. These systems are very inaccurate, but were used heavily in subprime lending. They usually generate values on the high side, sometimes many multiples higher than the actual value of the property.

Until the government decides to do away with this system, the current scenario will repeat itself over and over again.

Gwen Ifil
Yesterday, I said we would look like whiners if we insisted that Ifil step down. But after watching FOX last night and learning more about her book (The Age of Obama!!!), I have changed my mind. She should definitely recuse herself. In fact, if Obama were any kind of man, he would ask her to recuse herself because it will be worse for him if she appears totally biased. Let’s hope PBS does the right thing — the Comm. on Presidential Debates should be outraged!

It’s exactly because Ifill feels she is a victim of racism that she cannot be impartial in this debate. Also her reaction last night that people don’t know if her book is pro Obama or not, shows her usual arrogance and her disdain for everyone else, something she has always exhibited. She just does not get the idea that she is not the center of the world. Good morning, everyone.

Democracy Alliance memo details Dem plan to “educate the idiots” and target minorities.

The Democratic Party has the habit of talking behind the backs of every minorities especially those who are less educated. This doesn’t bode well for minorities like me, we’re not stupid; we do not believe in their gravy train – we would rather walk!

Here’s an excerpt of that news, an internal memo:

In a confidential internal memorandum obtained by Face The State (PDF), the Colorado Democracy Alliance outlines a roster of “operatives” who worked for Democratic victory in the 2006 general election. The document outlines specific tasks for various members of the state’s liberal infrastructure, including a campaign to “educate the idiots,” assigned to the state’s AFL-CIO union. Among the operation’s intended targets: “minorities, GED’s, drop-outs.”

Individuals named in the document, marked “CONFIDENTIAL,” “for internal use only,” and “DO NOT DISTRIBUTE,” are high-level elected Democrats including House Speaker Andrew Romanoff, former Senate President Joan Fitz-Gerald, as well as Gov. Bill Ritter’s press aide and former campaign chief Evan Dreyer. All are specially marked as “off-the-record or covert.”

I’m trying to download the PDF file. NObama, DNC and the Democratic Party they’ll stand up for the poor and minorities of this country; as soon as we turn our backs, they stab us like freaking Muslim extremists who’ll tell you, ” I love you brother” then cut your head off.

#45 Gogandalf on 10.02.08 at 10:20 am

ASIAN4Hillary – Thank you so much for your advice on getting rid of the bee hive – worked like a charm and did not get stung once – you should do this for a living — LOL Also viewed your listing of Dems that voted nay on the bail out thinking that maybe they went that way because they were up for re-election this year – and needed the votes from the public – but only two of them were – in South Dakota (HRC endorsed) Johnson and Landrieu (BO endorsed) Louisiana – so my theory was incorrect.
————————————————————-
Don’t shoot the messenger for giving Rasmussen report
Nationally BO ahead now by 7 – and those safely in his column dropped by a few percent – Miss – Tn – Tx -
North Carolina Bo is ahead by 50-47% – the strange thing about the above to include Texas shows the women are more percentage in favor of BO than the men except for Tn – where 61-36 % men for McCain – 55-41% women for McCain and 98% AA for Obama.

Why do the women and in Penna as well prefer Obama – while reading and lurking the posts yesterday people were thinking that McCain was too soft and not attacking – you would think that would reverse the voting % – its the other way around – are the men just going for McCain because of his military experience –
Posing a question because I frankly don’t get it and would love anyone – everyone to share a viewpoint on that one..

In a letter dated June 25, 2008, the FEC asked the Obama campaign to verify a series of $25 donations from a contributor identified as “Will, Good” from Austin, Texas. Mr. Good Will listed his employer as “Loving” and his profession as “You.”
There can be no doubt that the Obama campaign noticed these contributions, since Obama’s Sept. 20 report specified that Good Will’s cumulative contributions since the beginning of the campaign were $9,375.

Anglachel, later known as Gurthang, is a fictional weapon from J. R. R. Tolkien’s legendarium.
According to The Silmarillion, Anglachel (Iron of the Flaming Star in Sindarin) was one of the two swords forged by Eöl the Dark Elf out of a black iron meteorite. It is best noted to be made from a flaming star, which could be interpreted as a meteorite, or other phenomenon, natural or supernatural. As the stars of Middle Earth are explicitly made from the dew of Telperion, it could not literally be a star. It is said to be able to cleave any iron from within the earth. Anglachel has a will of its own and speaks at least once to Túrin.

If Ifill thinks questioning her conflict of interest (she stands to make millions if Obama wins) is racial or racist then that alone is a red flag for me. If she says she doesn’t understand why that would concern people, she is either a liar and unethical or foolish and out of touch. Since she played the race card, I think she is all of the above.

Ifill didn’t tell the commision about her pro-Obama book (book also touts Axelrod’s other protege, Deval Patrick), and so the commision should remove her or Ifill should announce a full disclosure statement at beginning of debate so that the viewers know.

Hopefully we can apply enough pressure that she will not be biased or she will overcompensate by being truly fair and calling Biden out if he tries to pull a fast one.

#63 Headclunker on 10.02.08 at 10:36 am

as far as the bailout, it sucks, period, no matter who voted for or against, it’s just a sorry state our nation is in and i blame us all, those who stood by and watched it go down and did nothing, those that didnt give a crap if it was going down and even helped make it so , and most of all, the Senate period.

The House will have to vote again, and i just cant see their constiuents changing their minds with even more Pork Barrel added not, from 3 pages, to 101 pages, to 401 pages, jees

#45 Gogandalf

Good job! It didn’t cost you a penny huh? :lol:

BTW, the Bailout Bill voted last night has tax cut for small business owners which is a good thing in my opinion. My friend that owns a gas station was grateful for the tax cut in that Bailout Bill, he was already planning to layoff two workers in his gas station. He’s not laying them off now which made his two employees very happy, he talked to them last week they might lose their job.

The Bailout Bill was around 400 pages due to extender (tax cuts). The tax cut amounts to $105 billion. What’s ironic about this, the extender added was more a Republican plan to give small business owners a break so they can stay in business than democrats. The federal government will get more revenue due to tax cut through individuals. I’m not surprise for the vote now of McCain, he is for tax cut.

NObama like other democrats are busy with their phony facts about taxes. There’ll be no tax cut even the so-called 95% NObama always mention; it would be tax increase for all.

One thing I can say, you don’t want democrats to be CEO of your company, they’ll turn your profitable business into complete LOSS, you will eventually file for bankcruptcy to protect yourself from creditors.

Good Morning everyone. I have been without internet since yesterday afternoon due weather here. Then I guess something was wrong with this site this morning. I was a stressed Puma!
I was watching Fox this morning regarding the bussing of homeless people to the polls. they said they dont need an address they just need 4 numbers? Is that the last 4 of their social?
I was thinking, we need some undercover Puma’s to get on those busses, and go vote, while filming the whole thing. They also said they are bussing people there from other states. They did the same thing here in Indiana during the primary.
If I can, I will go to another area and go undercover when early voting starts here. But, I do know they fed the voters, and gave them rides to wherever they wanted to go. I want solid proof, so we can put a stop to barney and his elves once and for all.

Since I am by my self … Story time :)
This morning my dogs brought up a nasty , stinky animal carcass .. My Partner , in her infinite wisdom put it on the ‘Burn pile ” ( cause you burn stuff here – in a pile ) and we had the windows open so now I can smell stinky , burning , dead animal -GREAT … Now this may not seem interesting , but it brings me to the real story that the rancid , burning flesh reminded me of …
When we first moved here to the great State of Redneck – ummm Texas , we bought a lake house in a cozy little neck of the woods I fondly referr to as Hillbilly HELL .
My keen , ninja like instincts , and the Rebel flag hanging from my new next door neighbors house clued me in to the fact that maybe my Rainbow flag would not be so welcome . My Partner immediately , for safety reasons , became my ‘sister” and we went on about minding our own business …..
Minding your own business , however, is not easily accomplished in the quaint little hollow affectionately known by locals as ” Pop a Top Ridge ” ( seriously – there’s a freaking SIGN !)
Neighbors feel free to intrude at any time on any occasion – for ANY reason . So one day , shortly after we had moved in , I was home alone ‘ tending to the ‘burn pile” and about 5 neighbors showed up .. They started asking all kinds of questions and then they asked , ” How cum you live with yer sister ? ” Without hesitation ,I answered slowly and seriously – complete with ‘the look’ , ” She can’t live by herself.” followed by an even more emphatic pause and “look” ….
They all nodded with gravity and , ‘understanding ‘ that my ‘sister’ was ‘special’ and offered to help any way they could .
Now this is kind of funny just as it is , but wait , theythere’s more – My partner and I were working different shifts , so I forgot to tell her about my confession to the neighbors …. It wasn’t until about a month later , when we had a day off together that she began RANTING , ” What in the Hell is wrong with these people ??? Every time I come home , they are all just standing around me ! They talk slow to me and when ever I go outside to burn stuff , they start yelling at me to wait till they get here to freaking HELP me !!!!”
Well , I realized what they were doing , but I couldn’t tell her at that point because she would KILL me , so I just said , ” They are just being friendly , but let’s move anyway . ”
I never told her what I had said to those neighbors until we moved away , and it still kills me when we run into them at the store and the rush up to her and speak loud and slowly to her and ask her ” How she’s doin ?”!!!!!
Ahhhhh. Makes me laugh – Ok , back to work ..

Gwen Ifills book profits

A book on the best sellers list at a minimum sells a
100,000 copies, the author makes 3.50 per book. That’s a minimum of $350,000 that she has to gain if Obama is president. These figures were discussed on foxnews yesterday, I believe it was Oreilly.

THE KATIE COURIC INTERVIEW:

Here’s how I wish the Palin-Couric exchange would’ve went: (these are not my words)

Couric:
Can you name any other Supreme Court decisions you disagree with?

Palin:
Off the top of my head, no. Roe v. Wade is clearly the one that stands out above the rest. But the average American out there isn’t worried about whether I can rattle off a bunch of Supreme Court decisions. They are worried about making their mortgage payments, keeping their jobs and sending their kids to college. They trust the Supreme Court to make those decisions. What they want from a President and Vice President is someone who will appoint Federal judges who fairly interpret the Constitution and adjudicate accordingly.

Now, let me ask you a question, Katie. You interviewed Senator Biden recently. So when you asked him this same question, would you care to share with me his answer?

Couric:
Well, I didn’t ask him that question.

Palin:
You didn’t? Why not? He’s a VP nominee. I’m a VP nominee. Don’t you want to know what Supreme Court decisions he disagrees with? Why are you only interested in my perspective on this?

Couric: …………. (Katie) Crickets chirping…..

I think I was a victim of SLY, for having been a copy kat of the JOE email address.
In any case, I was already having withdrawal symptoms.
The following is what I wrote at the moment I was so rudely cut out by some cyber space controllers.

HENERIETTA:
I totally agree with you. Last night I was reflecting about Gwen’s comments on racism and came to the conclusion that she is totally in agreement with Obama’s tactic of labeling any negative comments as racist. But just how do we call her on it. I think that most of us would have accepted her
as the moderator after her bias received so much publicity, but now, I at least, think that she shas to be called on her bias as well as her comments on racism

TEXAS:
Again, totally in agreement that we must do something to get it out in the open concerning Obama’s illegal donations. I know that I am not the only that has been suspecting Obama’s huge amounts of cash. His camp so much insisting that his money cache came from small donations had the feel of, “you doth protest too much”…However, it takes more clever and minds than mine to figure out what to do about it
It just brings me back to the primaries wondering what might have been if Obama’s money raising tactics had been exposed earlier.

#87 nhforhillary on 10.02.08 at 10:54 am

We didn’t make enough phone calls

They said that when the market tanked, people with 401ks started calling and half the callers were worried about their retirement. The dismissed the rest of the callers as the extreme left and right. Since i’m in the middle, no one counted my call.

We must contact all of PUMA, and other groups to make a surge in calls about the bailout.

Why add $150 billion pork, when we could use it all to become energy independent? Attach it to the all of the above energy independence Act and do something for the people of this country that addresses the economy and the jobs market and gas prices.

If we do nothing, our gas prices will keep going down. Jobs are being lost mostly in sectors affect by high energy prices. How soon they forget.

Someone needs to post the address where we can write all senators and edit the form letter! Help can someone do that? I will write letters for my relatives in other states too.

#88 ipotter on 10.02.08 at 10:55 am

Okay, I’m probably “out there somewhere,” but my take on why nothing has or will happen on the illegalities of the primary election, delegate coercion, illegal campaign contributions, kickbacks, questionable associations, questionable past, etc. is because bo is hoping to do away with elections and instead appoint our officials. If you want an appointment later, you have to help get bo elected. I think it was mentioned in Samantha Powers article in March that bo doesn’t see a need for elections. Does anyone else see it this way? I listed the link a couple of times. My socialist pal (used to be spousal equivalent until last week) has said that Bush has passed legislation to stop elections in time of war and the president wishes to do so. He has also said that they are trying to tighten the internet so you have to pay for each and every website you visit. Our media is already controlled, the internet is basically our only source of real news. When that goes, well, I’ll be too old to care but I fear what the future will bring for the children. Thank you for letting me vent.

#130 Asian4Hillary on 10.02.08 at 11:25 am

What’s so ironic about this election, Hillary put her party ahead of welfare of her own country and that includes all of us who supported her during primary. She use “emotional blackmail” when she said in her speech during convention;” are you in it for me or for our party.” She miss the point, millions of people from democrats, independent, republicans voted for her because what she stood for NOT for her political affiliation. She contradicted herself by campaigning for NObama, she has no principle in my opinion; she toed the party line and to hell with 18 million voters who believes in her. At the same time, I understand too why she’s doing it, she have to stand by her party even if she’s gritting her teeth and campaign for NObama whom she said will bring speeches in the Whitehouse.

We don’t want a talker for President, we want a DOER to lead this country especially now; ONLY McCain can do that. Can you imagine a democrat in the whitehouse and Democratic controlled Congress? It would be PURE HELL FOR USA.

One can argue that maybe they shouldn’t have attached this BUT again, these are businesses that are already receiving tax breaks and they want to extend those tax breaks.

We all agree that no matter how good the bread looks, it’s still going to be a crap sandwich. BUT the bottom line is we need a bill. We need a bill to stop to bleed.

the united states of america is beginning to look less untied and more divided..
when racial nationalism becomes a political
force it will create counter acting forces who will become opponents ,and before you know it you have the balkanization of a country into feuding war sectors..
maybe the great american experiment will turn out to be just that just an experiment..

If you follow the news since yesterday, countries all over the world are blaming USA for collapse of their banking system, Putin is the worst of them all, Kremlin lost 50% of its stock value.

How come this countries never say thank you to USA when their economy is prosperous but quick to blame us when our economy sneeze and they have cold? Actually if we look at this, especially economy of Europe, it started with a french trader that cost france over $5 billion losses in their banking; it happened about 4 months ago.

I say to europeans, ” go F yourself”, bailout yourself!

Not all women were happy With Sandra Bernhard especially women who experienced violence.

===

BOSTON – A women’s shelter on Wednesday cut headliner Sandra Bernhard from its annual benefit after she said Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin would be gang-raped if she ever visited New York.

Bernhard’s made the remarks last month during her one-woman show in Washington before Palin visited New York to campaign. Bernhard said Palin would be “gang-raped by my big black brothers” during a diatribe in which she also criticized Palin for opposing abortion rights.

Many guests at Rosie’s Place, a Boston shelter, have been victims of violence, public relations director Leemarie Mosca said.

“In light of our mission, we don’t think violence against women is a laughing matter,” she said.

Mosca said the shelter expected to book a replacement before the Oct. 16 luncheon “Funny Women … Serious Business.”

“Right now, our main focus is our event and making sure the event is a success,” Mosca said. “And for us, that means not including Sandra Bernhard at this time.”

A representative for Bernhard had no immediate comment on the cancellation.

In a statement on her Web site, Bernhard said the gang-rape comment was part of a larger piece from her show about “racism, freedom, women’s rights, and the extreme views of Gov. Sarah Palin _ a woman who doesn’t believe that other women should have the right to choose.”

“I certainly wish Gov. Palin no harm _ I’d just like her to explain to me how she can hold such outrageous views … and then go back to Alaska,” she said.

Secret, Foreign Money Floods Into Obama Campaign

Just heard from a family member here in PA that there is a special Obama channel airing here. All BO, all the time. She said she watched for awhile but then it pissed her off so she had to turn it off. I believe this may backfire on him.

By the way, anyone able to answer the question – is this a violation of something? Campaign finance rules? Anything?

#160 mountainsong on 10.02.08 at 11:48 am

614 Asian4Hillary From the previous thread: I kinda, sorta agree with you to point.

Here is my take on everything. Call me crazy if you like.
First of all: The best way to enslave a man is to let him think he is ‘free’.
Then, give them a game to play. Call it ‘democracy’, or whatever. Let them make up names, even, like Democrat’s and Republican and even a few asundry others. Because a house divided cannot stand. As long as they keep playing the game and are constantly bickering, disagreeing, and at each others’ throats, they wont even look at what is really going on.
Don’t forget to give them tidbits and treats. (let them think they have a say in what goes on, stimulus checcks, etc)
People are just not going to stop making babies. First, because it feels good. 2nd, because they all have egotistical desires to create their own little worlds (families) Eventually, this is going to spin out of control. Like a flock of livestock with way too many bucks or roosters running around.
In order to control this ever increasing mass ( explodes exponentially daily) the system will have to change.
And people don’t like change very much (unless it’s in their pocket)
So, eventually, the capitalistic, free-market, democratic system is going to have to give way to a different one (socialism, facism, communism)
Thus a new breed of leaders will evolve (Obama)
But, now, here’s the kicker——
Before we can relinquish control, those of us in power need to be sure we have feathered our own nests (increased our odds of surviving personally). So we will have to HARVEST money one last, final time before relinquishing control.
THAT is what this bailout is all about.
The reason it looks like McCain isn’t doing anything is because he’s NOT. He already did what he was supposed to do, which was to help harvest the money.
Before the ship starts to sink. NOW he’s going to just back off and let Obama have the mess that’s left behind. They all will.
Sooner or later games end. And the one I’ve observed all my life (65 years) is ending.
I personally believe that no vote IS a vote. I can’t stand the idea of Obama as POTUS. But it may become a reality I have to accept.
So…. is it suicide, or do I find another game in town?
Yes, there IS one and I think I have already gone there.

PS~~~ Collapse of world economies is my ‘proof’. Please don’t tell me we couldn’t see it coming!!!

#9 GoHillaryGo “Ifull is definitely NOT IMPARTIAL. ”

You got THAT right. Now she’s making it about race. It is NOT about race, it’s about her lack of impartiality and her unprofessionalism in CLEARLY being biased towards O. Anyone watching her interviews regarding this election over the past few months have plainly seen and heard her biased, under-the-breath comments against Hillary, and now McCain and Palin. Her personal (and might I say UNPROFESSIONAL) bias is clear. Regardless of the color of her or his skin.

The credibility of PBS is what’s at stake here. PBS should replace her with someone who is more neutral. I don’t give a rats a** WHAT color their skin is!

Calling for Gwen Ifil to recuse herself from moderating tonight’s debaste IS NOT RACIST. It’s common sense, for the good of this election, and to preserve the good reputation of PBS.

Gwen Ifil is showing the same arrogance as O, placing personal ambition above the common good.

Anyway, I posted the link to make Missouri peeps aware of the rally, not the dancers. But I did think that they are cute.

Obama Crimes
ALERT: Contrary to Internet Rumor, No Court Ruling Yet On Obama / DNC Motion to Dismiss in Berg v. Obama
Wednesday, 01 October 2008 23:50 administrator
E-mail Print

I received a phone call from Phil J. Berg a few minutes ago. He informed me that a rumor is circulating on the Internet that the Court has ruled on the Motion to Dismiss filed by Senator Obama and the Democratic National Committee in the Berg v. Obama case. Some of the visitors to this website have posted comments claiming the Court has ruled. The comments on this site were written by visitors to the site.

On Mr. Berg’s behalf, I am posting this to state clearly the Court has not yet ruled on the Motion to Dismiss in Berg v. Obama.

Here’s the status:

1. Last week Senator Obama and the Democratic National Committee filed a Motion to Dismiss the Berg v. Obama lawsuit.
2. On Monday, Mr. Berg filed an answer requesting that the suit not be dismissed and that the Court order production of documents proving Senator Obama’s consitutional qualifications to serve as President of The United States.
3. As of 1 AM EST today, October 2nd, 2008, the Court has not ruled on the Motion for Dismissal in Berg v. Obama.

There could be some truth to your comments. Palin energized the repug base but that has since dies off because of her less then steller interviews. Of course, the conservative base has never been crazy about McCain because of his maverickness. I believe that this debate tonight could be a game changer, but it all depends on how well Palin responds to the pressure. If she can win back some of those in the repug base that have become rather undecided about her and why McCain picked her, then we should see McCain’s numbers improve. Just my guess.

By the way, they may have finally found Steve Fosset! It only too them a year.

Hello,
Just checking in.

Well, I wish I had some good news, but it looks like there’s mostly bad news for both Democrats and Republicans. I think people in both parties are pretty fed up. I’m starting to count the days until voting begins here in TX (Oct. 20th). I am looking forward to not voting for BO. What is our other form of protest? If the party won’t listen to its constituents the only way to make them listen is by sending a no confidence vote their way. That’s the only way they’ll learn (if they are smart).

Finally, I still find it difficult to believe that so many people have been conned by BO and his cronies. The other day someone at work said they were surprised by how much racism there still was in America, because people were unwilling to vote for BO. I just said something like, there are other factors in play. What I really wanted to say was: there are 100 reasons not to vote for BO and none include race. I didn’t say it because I didn’t want to have an argument with a work colleague.

Best,
Lara08

OUR PROWL SHOULD BE THE SAME AS ANDY’S.

CHICAGO News Conference: Thursday, October 2

Andy Martin asks FBI investigation into Obama’s clandestine cash

ANDY MARTIN
Executive Editor
ContrarianCommentary.com

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

ANNOUNCEMENT OF CHICAGO NEWS CONFERENCE OCTOBER 2, 2008

ANDY MARTIN ASKS FBI, U. S. ATTORNEY AND ATTORNEY GENERAL TO INVESTIGATE OBAMA’S “CLANDESTINE CASH”

MARTIN SAYS OBAMA’S NEARLY QUARTER BILLION DOLLARS OF SECRET CONTRIBUTIONS SHOULD VIOLATE THE LAW AND MAY INDICATE A CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY TO EVADE CAMPAIGN LIMITS

WHO ARE “GOOD WILL, DOODAD PRO AND NY NANDO?”

MARTIN SAYS MCCAIN CAMPAIGN IS INEPT AND INEFFECTIVE

(CHICAGO)(October 2, 2008) Anti-Obama author and investigator Andy Martin will hold a Chicago news conference today, Thursday, October 2nd to announce that he has asked Attorney General Michael Mukasey, Chicago U. S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald and the Chicago FBI to open a criminal investigation into Senator Barack Obama’s nearly quarter billion dollar hoard of clandestine campaign cash.

Martin was the first to disclose the extensive financial relationships between Obama and convicted Chicago wheeler-dealer Tony Rezko. (read Obama: The Man Behind the Mask pp. 94-98 [see below])

Martin will also issue mild criticism of the campaign of Senator John McCain, for “once again failing to deliver a focused campaign and meaningful challenge to Obama’s financial shenanigans.” McCain is releasing the names of all of his campaign donors.

“Like almost everyone, I was paying scant attention to the minutiae of Barack Obama’s fund raising operation. I saw the ‘Gaza Strip’ contribution stories but assumed they were a tiny portion of Obama’s overall operation.

“I was smacked in the face by recent reports that Obama has raised almost a quarter of a billion dollars, almost $250 million, of clandestine campaign cash whose origins Obama has never disclosed. This amount is unbelievable and appears to reflect clear criminal intent to evade federal campaign contribution limitations.

“How does Obama think he can hide a quarter of a billion dollars by labeling the origins as ‘petty cash?’ Where are the mainstream media? Bothering Sarah Palin?

“I have asked General Mukasey, the Chicago U. S. Attorney and the FBI to open an investigation into the identities and sources of this secret cash. If the cash hoard is legal, we have a right to know. If the cash is tainted or even criminal, we also have a right to know, before the election, not afterwards. The American People should not have a ‘pig in a poke’ to vote for on November 4th.

Recent media reports focused my attention on Obama’s secret cash hoard:

http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=13981,
http://www.newsmax.com/timmerman/Obama_fundraising_illegal/2008/09/29/135718.html?s=al&promo_code=6BD9-1

“While we are opening our own investigation, we obviously don’t have the unlimited resources of the FBI or U. S. Attorney’s office. The origins and legality of Obama’s secret $250 million dollars mandates a governmental investigation.

“Obama, who began his campaign by claiming he would uphold the highest ethical standards, has created the seemingly most corrupt campaign fund-raising operation since Watergate. What is Obama hiding? Why won’t he release the names of his contributors?

“If Obama has a scintilla of ethics and commitment to campaign transparence he should immediately release the names of all of his contributors. His relentless attempts to engage in secrecy-over his family history, his education and personal life-are once again apparent in Obama’s clandestine campaign cash whose origins he refuses to identify. Is the money coming from Islamic supporters? Kenya collaborators? African dictators? Middle East sources? The American people have a right to know where a quarter of a billion dollars is coming from. We aren’t talking chopped liver.

“Obama has received money from ‘names’ that are obvious fictions and represent a transparent attempt to criminally corrupt the campaign finance system. Who are ‘Good Will, Doodad Pro and NY Nando?’ There is overwhelming circumstantial evidence of a criminal conspiracy to violate federal campaign laws, certainly more than necessary to open a grand jury investigation. Obama has received an endorsement from Moammar Gadhafi. Is this who we want funding our campaigns? Is this the 2008 Democratic Party?

“I would be remiss if I did not mildly criticize Senator John McCain for his inept and ineffective campaign operation. Focusing attention on an opponent’s weaknesses or suspicious activities should be the role of McCain as a candidate. But, once again, in a misguided belief in his own apodictic qualifications, McCain refuses to tackle Obama and to take him on, mano a mano, over the origins of the clandestine cash.

“Why isn’t McCain screaming every day at every stop about Obama’s secret $250 million cash hoard? Why not? Senator McCain owes his supporters an explanation other than the mistaken belief McCain’s record is so well know he doesn’t have to confront Obama. McCain’s strategy is obviously faltering,” says Martin.

Martin will release copies of his DOJ/USA/FBI letters at his news conference.

‘Brilliant’ Ifill Cousin Scours Palin As ‘Offensive to Black Women’
From Newbusters:

Here are more signs Sarah Palin could face an uphill battle with PBS host Gwen Ifill. Professor Sherrilyn Ifill of the University of Maryland Law School, who Gwen Ifill has lauded as “my brilliant baby cousin,” has written that black women are not buying Sarah Palin’s “false claims to feminism” and is portrayed as too perfect: “when women who are privileged present as though they have it all together, it’s offensive to black women.”

The Community Times, a suburban Maryland newspaper, found Professor Ifill was ardently opposed to the Alaska governor when they did an e-mail interview:

“From the first day, Palin presented herself as shooting a bear in the morning, field dressing it, cooking up the breakfast, diapering the babies, passing legislation in the afternoon, cleaning the house, satisfying her husband, etc., etc., etc. And it’s just not true,” she wrote in an e-mail interview. “It’s hard to be an average working mom, really hard. And when women who are privileged present as though they have it all together, it’s offensive to black women.”

#229 mountainsong on 10.02.08 at 12:22 pm

Gwen Ifill Wrong Choice for Moderator
By Richard Sammon

The big VP debate tonight between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin could be critical in this presidential race, much more so than in other recent elections. The Commission on Presidential Debates would have done better to have picked a different moderator. Even if Gwen Ifill performs her role perfectly and displays no bias or favor, there is an appearance-of-conflict issue at hand. Not a small one, in my opinion. …

Ifill is a respected journalist and political talk show host for public television. No question there.
The problem is she is writing a book for a major publisher, Simon & Schuster, on Barack Obama titled Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama. It is scheduled to go on sale on January 20, the day the next president is inaugurated. Advance copies of the book won’t circulate for months, but the title alone certainly suggests favorable treatment. Sales would be greater if he won the election, no doubt.
Michele Malkin chimes in against the Ifill choice in today’s New York Post.
Ifill should step down today. A replacement won’t have much time to prepare, but there are plenty of well-versed journalists around who can pull together tough and credible questions before 9 p.m. eastern standard time — preferably someone who is not writing a book on Sarah Palin, either.

Hello Puma friends,

This is a quick lunch time hello. For those interested there is a new post at Heidi Li’s Potpourri about the revised bailout bill – Sickeningly Sweet… is the title.

As for the constant cry of racism from anybody who criticizes anything the Democratic Party has done that has anything to do with Senator Obama, I say: YAWN.

As for Gwen Ifell: I say, let’s all chant CONFLICT OF INTEREST.

As for you all, a big thank you. The Denver Group has raised about $1200 toward it new initiative. There’s a match offer on now with the match going to Sen. Clinton’s 2012 reelection campaing. See http://www.demsforprinciple.com

The Obama channel
Channel 73 on the Dish Network is now The Obama Channel.

http://tinyurl.com/3vxf8x

The channel’s appearance has provoked scorn and alarm on conservative blogs, though, and some discussion on a forum for Satellite TV aficionados, where one user writes that a Dish Network executive emailed to reassure the user that it “is paid advertising by the Obama campaign and is not an endorsement of Senator Obama by DISH Network” and will broadcast through November 4.
Dish Network spokesman Parker McConachie confirmed the forum account, and stressed that the channel is paid advertising, and not a corporate endorsement

it’s Prayer for Sarah
author: someone posting on Greta’s site at fox news

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To Help Sarah
Everyone say a prayer her today!
God, wrap your loving arms around Sarah Palin right now, in the Name of Jesus I pray that
you would wrap your wings around her and protect her. Just as Daniel survived in the Lion’s
Den and David on the battlefield with Goliath, be her strength and shield. She has stood up for
you over an over yet the enemy has raged. I know you have brought Sarah Palin out as a
Light in the midst of darkness and she shall not be ashamed. I pray that you,
Oh Lord, would anoint her mouth that she may speak your truth with eloquence and strength
. I bind every spirit and foul demon that would try to hold her down, I take authority over
ever spirit that would hinder her, and we loose the Spirit of the Living God to have His way
in this debate tonight. God give her the people’s favor, let your Spirit move on the hearts
that are watching tonight. In Jesus Mighty Name.
Pray folks Pray….it is our duty as Christians!
ps.i will add any other folks who dont judge one’s beliefs
just like sarah doesnt judge anyone else’s beliefs
McCain on his drop in the polls: ‘Life isn’t fair’
WASHINGTON (AP) – Asked why he has been falling in polls since the financial crisis, Republican presidential candidate John McCain sums it up this way: “Cause life isn’t fair.”
McCain chuckled as he made the remark Thursday on the Fox News morning show “Fox & Friends” – not that trailing Democratic rival Barack Obama in a series of new polls is a laughing matter for the GOP campaign.
An Associated Press-GfK poll released Wednesday showed Obama surging to a seven-point lead, 48-41, over McCain one month before the presidential election. Three weeks ago, McCain had a slight edge over Obama in the AP-GfK survey.
Other surveys also showed Obama ahead of McCain nationally and beating him in several swing states, including Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania and Iowa.
“Look, we’re doing fine,” McCain told Fox News. “We were up in the polls, and then we were down in the polls, and we were up in the polls, and down in the polls … you know, we can’t worry about the day-to-day tick-tock.”
McCain added: “I think we’re doing fine. We’ve got a lot of work to do. I always love being the underdog, and I think we’re going to be up late on election night. But I’m very happy with where we are.”
——–
Well, at least McCain won’t be that upset if he doesn’t win.
Guuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
You are sooo correct. And here’s a big wakeup call to Americans…the European states have ALL built down their militaries to the point that they are now only able to respond to natural disasters; and will rely on the US for the the muscular military assistance for the big unnatural events..say, RUSSIA/ CHINA?
And, then there is the truth Obacon referred to in the debate about the global presence of AlQaeda, and the US’ startling lack of presence (only good thing I’ve heard him mention regarding foreign policy). This election is so serious. . . and then we have kindermusik choirs of koolaid chants.
These are indeed worrisome times.
ANNOUNCEMENT OF CHICAGO NEWS CONFERENCE OCTOBER 2, 2008
ANDY MARTIN ASKS FBI, U. S. ATTORNEY AND ATTORNEY GENERAL TO INVESTIGATE OBAMA’S “CLANDESTINE CASH”
MARTIN SAYS OBAMA’S NEARLY QUARTER BILLION DOLLARS OF SECRET CONTRIBUTIONS SHOULD VIOLATE THE LAW AND MAY INDICATE A CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY TO EVADE CAMPAIGN LIMITS
WHO ARE “GOOD WILL, DOODAD PRO AND NY NANDO?”
MARTIN SAYS MCCAIN CAMPAIGN IS INEPT AND INEFFECTIVE
(CHICAGO)(October 2, 2008) Anti-Obama author and investigator Andy Martin will hold a Chicago news conference today, Thursday, October 2nd to announce that he has asked Attorney General Michael Mukasey, Chicago U. S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald and the Chicago FBI to open a criminal investigation into Senator Barack Obama’s nearly quarter billion dollar hoard of clandestine campaign cash.
Martin was the first to disclose the extensive financial relationships between Obama and convicted Chicago wheeler-dealer Tony Rezko. (read Obama: The Man Behind the Mask pp. 94-98 [see below])
Martin will also issue mild criticism of the campaign of Senator John McCain, for “once again failing to deliver a focused campaign and meaningful challenge to Obama’s financial shenanigans.” McCain is releasing the names of all of his campaign donors.
“Like almost everyone, I was paying scant attention to the minutiae of Barack Obama’s fund raising operation. I saw the ‘Gaza Strip’ contribution stories but assumed they were a tiny portion of Obama’s overall operation.
“I was smacked in the face by recent reports that Obama has raised almost a quarter of a billion dollars, almost $250 million, of clandestine campaign cash whose origins Obama has never disclosed. This amount is unbelievable and appears to reflect clear criminal intent to evade federal campaign contribution limitations.
“How does Obama think he can hide a quarter of a billion dollars by labeling the origins as ‘petty cash?’ Where are the mainstream media? Bothering Sarah Palin?
“I have asked General Mukasey, the Chicago U. S. Attorney and the FBI to open an investigation into the identities and sources of this secret cash. If the cash hoard is legal, we have a right to know. If the cash is tainted or even criminal, we also have a right to know, before the election, not afterwards. The American People should not have a ‘pig in a poke’ to vote for on November 4th.
Recent media reports focused my attention on Obama’s secret cash hoard:
http://www.spectator.org/dsp_article.asp?art_id=13981,
http://www.newsmax.com/timmerman/Obama_fundraising_illegal/2008/09/29/135718.html?s=al&promo_code=6BD9-1
“While we are opening our own investigation, we obviously don’t have the unlimited resources of the FBI or U. S. Attorney’s office. The origins and legality of Obama’s secret $250 million dollars mandates a governmental investigation.
“Obama, who began his campaign by claiming he would uphold the highest ethical standards, has created the seemingly most corrupt campaign fund-raising operation since Watergate. What is Obama hiding? Why won’t he release the names of his contributors?
“If Obama has a scintilla of ethics and commitment to campaign transparence he should immediately release the names of all of his contributors. His relentless attempts to engage in secrecy-over his family history, his education and personal life-are once again apparent in Obama’s clandestine campaign cash whose origins he refuses to identify. Is the money coming from Islamic supporters? Kenya collaborators? African dictators? Middle East sources? The American people have a right to know where a quarter of a billion dollars is coming from. We aren’t talking chopped liver.
“Obama has received money from ‘names’ that are obvious fictions and represent a transparent attempt to criminally corrupt the campaign finance system. Who are ‘Good Will, Doodad Pro and NY Nando?’ There is overwhelming circumstantial evidence of a criminal conspiracy to violate federal campaign laws, certainly more than necessary to open a grand jury investigation. Obama has received an endorsement from Moammar Gadhafi. Is this who we want funding our campaigns? Is this the 2008 Democratic Party?
“I would be remiss if I did not mildly criticize Senator John McCain for his inept and ineffective campaign operation. Focusing attention on an opponent’s weaknesses or suspicious activities should be the role of McCain as a candidate. But, once again, in a misguided belief in his own apodictic qualifications, McCain refuses to tackle Obama and to take him on, mano a mano, over the origins of the clandestine cash.
“Why isn’t McCain screaming every day at every stop about Obama’s secret $250 million cash hoard? Why not? Senator McCain owes his supporters an explanation other than the mistaken belief McCain’s record is so well know he doesn’t have to confront Obama. McCain’s strategy is obviously faltering,” says Martin.
Martin will release copies of his DOJ/USA/FBI letters at his news conference.
McCain has a lot of faith in Sarah. That is why the Ifill bias does not bother him. Sarah MUST show the world the same Sarah she showed at the Covention. Professor Sherrilyn Ifill of the University of Maryland Law School, who Gwen Ifill has lauded as “my brilliant baby cousin,” has written that black women are not buying Sarah Palin’s “false claims to feminism” and is portrayed as too perfect: “when women who are privileged present as though they have it all together, it’s offensive to black women.”
The Community Times, a suburban Maryland newspaper, found Professor Ifill was ardently opposed to the Alaska governor when they did an e-mail interview:
“From the first day, Palin presented herself as shooting a bear in the morning, field dressing it, cooking up the breakfast, diapering the babies, passing legislation in the afternoon, cleaning the house, satisfying her husband, etc., etc., etc. And it’s just not true,” she wrote in an e-mail interview. “It’s hard to be an average working mom, really hard. And when women who are privileged present as though they have it all together, it’s offensive to black women.”
GWEN BIAS
A deep bias can be subtly conveyed in the body language, tone of voice… how she asks the questions, how long she lets each candidate speak, etc…. She can attempt to influence their performance (consciously and unconsciously) through various non-verbal means.
Last night a girlfriend was telling me about another of HER girlfriends who has a boyfriend who is an Aryan Brotherhood member of one of the biggest biker gangs in the world (not gonna say which one). OMG, you should hear what THEY think.
And the Mexican and Asian Mafia’s are not just sitting around twiddling their thumbs.
#328 GBPuma on 10.02.08 at 1:23 pm
As a former political PR Director I advise that you ignore the polls…except maybe surveyusa………….because it is October and I’ve seen the polls change 5x in the same day back and forth until the 20th of OCT and because of polling bias………..so the polls mean nothing till Nov. 5th to see who was right…………..what it means is hit the pavement and GET THE VOTE OUT for your candidate with every breath you have……….this is not the time to debate what the other candidate did or didn’t do but to CONVICE the people to vote for your candidate every second of the day……….and that means to be single focused on that task only…….everything else going on in the world doesn’t matter during the month of OCT. the only thing that matters is to bring voters to your side and make sure they are voting for your candidate because early votings have already started………………..
The ONLY thing that matters now is the GET OUT THE VOTE for the candidate of choice……..98% of voters have their minds solidly made up by Oct. 15th-Oct. 20th
Hit the tarmac and GET THE VOTE OUT!!!!!!!!!!
email and call every person you know and knock on your neighborhood doors for the next three weeks and then again the last 2 days of the election and offer people rides and set up carpolls to take people to the polls.
Great idea. They need to start ‘investigating’ some of this stuff and throwing it at BO. Thta’s the only way any of this stuff is going to get into the in the tank MSM. McCain could use some of this stuff at their next debate.
They need to get up out of their loungers and try to actually WIN this thing! BO is sliding right in to the Presidency right now, I do not understand how, but it’s clear that the voters in this country are not even remotely aware of all the ‘stuff’ that’s out there on him. It is time to take the gloves off McCain!
Just saw this comment on Newsbusters and I so agree with it:
I saw on another site the LA Times poll of Ohio the day before the election last season: Kerry 50, Bush 44, margin or error 4. Slam dunk! I’m sick of polls – but if Conservatives are nervous, good for the bias because it drives us. “Broken Glass!” is a phrase I see online from our side, meaning they will crawl over it to prevent this country becoming socialist.
Seems to me the other camp, with the creepy “Children of the Corn” singing video on YouTube, and the latest “celebrity” Leo DiCaprio-led ad, is eating itself nicely from within. Did you stupid non-celebrity Americans know you have to register to vote?
Offensive to black women—how is that possible—if Sara can handle her household,husband, run a state, do whatever to dress a moose, what does that have to do with black women/ women. Those statements are asinine. To me her statements are discrediting the abilities of black women to do the same thing if they wanted to; they are just as capable as most women are. (pathetic) Why does Sara Palin create so much anxiety for some women/folks. As silent as it is kept there appears to be a large amount of reverse racism displayed. Hopefully that will not offend anyone.
John McCain has to walk on the same egg shells as Hillary; yet carry a big stick but the corruption is so vast. I have Verizon FIOS in Florida so don’t know if he is on channel 73 here. Probably so, he is on the radio in the dentist office, Walmart, yikes, it’s the twilight zone.
It was one of those telemarketer calls that are so annoying, usually. The woman had a very pleasant sounding voice and announced she was calling on behalf of the Vonage Telephone Co. I started to get uptight like I usually do when I get one of those calls when I realized the poor woman is probably just trying to make a living. What a lousy way to have to survive.
One of my good friends is a woman who struggles to survive in ways not many are willing to. She happens to be AA. She works 2 jobs, one as a motel room cleaner. Sometimes she cleans as many as 20 rooms per day. Her other job is at McDonald’s where she works the graveyard shift. She lives in another motel/hotel where she pays $275.00 per week. And she’s 51 years old. And she is a recovering addict/alcoholic. Her daughter, parents and grandchildren live in the Houston area and she sends them money from every paycheck to help them recover and survive Ike.
I have to admire and respect someone like that. And I know there are countless millions others.
So I count my blessings every day.
WHY McCAIN MAY NOT BE FIGHTING BACK ENOUGH
Republicans are no the big dirty fighters you’ve been lead to believe they are (by your Dem leaders). In fact Repubs tend to be too nice. I get pi**ed-off myself at my Repub leaders doing nothing, not standing up to the left. And Republicans certainly aren’t favored by the press – as all of you should now be seeing…
McCain is in a sticky situation. Republicans have been (falsely) accused of racism for so long by Democrats that anything McCain says critical of Obama will be labeled as racist by the media….
We PUMAS are sick and tired of doing all of the work required to defeat Obama ! We write to the media , we call , we canvass , we inform . We stick our necks out daily and jump feet first into the fire , and what’s in it for us ? We don’t HAVE a candidate in this election !
It is time for the Republicans and the Mccain camp to take the gloves off and stop riding on the backs of Pumas !
If you want to win this election , it’s time for you to step up to the challenge and begin confronting the corruption that is rampant in the Obama campaign !
Roll up your sleeves and if you will start to do just HALF of what Pumas have been doing , you might just stand a chance .
#375 diva2 on 10.02.08 at 2:12 pm
PAYBACK TIME FOR THE SOME EVIL DOERS..
Just a reminder of some really good things that have happened (in a weird way). Pelosi is in hot water because she couldn’t get the first bailout bill passed, she caused it with her partisan rhetoric, questionable whether the second bill will pass and now she is front and center about her PAC payouts to hubby, little time to campaign for her re-election and hopefully she won’t be elected.
Then, GE and NBC/MSNBC. NBC is owned by GE and GE did not have enough money and had to try and find loans a few days ago. They are have big time problems. It is know NBC is having big time viewer problems and at the bottom of the bottom of the cable channels. Too bad… Matthews, Olberman, Mitchell, et al may be in the unemployment line if NBC is shut down or sold and doubt if anyone is crying about it. ONE MEDIA DOWN and ? to go.
PUMAS have made a huge difference because the contirbution of the prowls and hard work of the PUMA leadership helped make Congress sit-up and listen to their constituents and brought NBC to it’s knees by boycotting the show and advertisers! GREAT JOB!!
BillieJo – I have been thinking the same thing – I worked my arse off on the Hillary campaign and now working my arse off to defeat BO – but I have not seen any action item by any Republican website that I know about – why should we do all their work for them – we are Democrats – or were Democrats – I have not seen one of them come onto our site and thank the pumas for what we have exposed to the media – to defeat this evil man – they must help – they must get involved with action items – the more voices heard the better off we will be – I think I maybe will kick back and swing in the hammock as well – 12 hours of emailing yesterday and calling makes my old bones tired.
Sir,
I am very concerned that Senator Obama seems to be running away with this election with out much opposition from your party. I do not believe this man is good for our country,nor is his useless record in the senate. I am a pumademocrat who voted for Senator Clinton,I was horrified by the DNC sham in putting Obama into nomination. I know he plans on taking away more of our freedom of speech and our right to bear arms to defend ourselves.
I do not understand why no one in the news media seems to want to report the truth,so I am asking you to fight harder for us.
I know that ACORN is tottally in the tank for Senator Obama and signing up people and getting fraudulent votes thru right now in Ohio and other states as well they are not signing up republicans only democrats. ACORN certainly helped in the caucus fraud in Texas,and Iowa as well as the other caucus states.
I cannot believe that there is now a Obama network on dish,is this legal?We Pumas are fighting every day to defeat Senator Obama,and the battle has been long and we need reinforcements.
Thank You,
D.Aubrey
Puma Democrat
#396Gogandalf: True, but aren’t we doing this work for ourselves? I am and for anybody out there who can see, hear, listen, discern or in anyother way understand that Nobama is a fraud! I did similarly during the Democratic Primary…wrote all kinds of emails to the Clinton campaign…telling them to get off their you know whats and attack….hard…They did for a little while…then ….thought truth would prevail in and of itself. In this world, in this election cycle, it does not.
It needs the big shoves we are giving it….I know you know this….and I think after all your work yesterday a hammock sounds great! Wish I could bring you some iced tea, if you like it!
#407 Gogandalf on 10.02.08 at 2:38 pm
Thanks New Orleans Puma – I am doing this MORE than just for myself – I am doing it for my friends (who resist my doing it for them), I am doing it for my neighbors (who resist my doing it for them), I am doing it for my family (who resist my doing it for them) and I am doing it for all of you – the only ones that don’t resist – but at the end of the day – when you sit back and look at what you have been doing with your life for the last 17 months – spending hours upon hours trying to fight for freedom for those that are not interested in your fight for freedom – and then you see that you have lost friends that have passed away – that you could have spent quality time with – some even on this site – and time with your family and wonder what have I done – I would not have changed my hope for change in the system – it just becomes overwhelming when you are fighting a corrupt system that so many others can not see – and you are called racist, trouble maker and a rebel without a cause – I would love some of your famous iced tea – with that being said going for a long walk – and not off a short pier – not done yet – just frustrated…thanks for listening though.
No, I didn’t know about that. How did the world get to this place? What is going on?
Some time ago, I went to the opening night of a brand new children’s theatre in my city. The entire play was written and performed without words. (Ugh.) Many of the children attending the opening left their seats and went to sit along the edge of the stage. I thought it was really cute of them until I realized at the end of the performance that the only part of this entire wordless play that the children connected with was the fight scene. As soon as it started, all the kids were jumping up and down and cheering. Once it ended, they sat quietly again until the final curtain.
That was the first time I had ever felt genuine fear for the future of our country.
Your letter was awesome!
————————————–
Here is the letter I wrote:
Dear Republican’s,
I am a very frustrated Democrat that voted for Hillary Clinton in the primary. Since the Democratic Convention in Denver, I and millions of life long Democrats called PUMAs have worked feverishly to help the Republican’s win this election.
Why you ask would Democrats help us win?
The simple fact is that the DNC and the Obama Campaign used corruption, Obama Camps and ACORN to create caucus fraud and steal an election from Senator Hillary Clinton. Calling President Clinton a racist to defuse his effectiveness.
Prove it, okay here is real research and testimony proof of what happened: http://www.lynettelong.com/CAUCUSFRAUD/
This research is extensive, click around the site and see the fraud was in EVERY caucus that Obama won!
Another reason I am willing to help the Republican’s win is the voting fraud and money links to paying Clinton super delegates off, and putting money in the DNC and Obama pockets to push him into the Whitehouse from ACORN. This site has a great graphic that makes this clear: http://www.justsaynodeal.com/acorn.html
The primary election was as dirty as I have ever seen in my long life and Obama is dangerous with the network that is built around him to defeat anyone that opposes him. Here is another link to some of the tactics he is trying out on the American public: http://worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=76438
Another reason PUMAs are helping you is that Clinton delegates were threatened, yes ‘threatened’ to vote for Obama at the Democratic Convention or their state chairmen would not receive money from the DNC for their election campaigns. The DNC forced delegates into voting to show unity at the convention and throw away 18 million of their own voters. We have 20 pages of information from Clinton delegates that have not been made public to prove this. Delegates are too afraid to go public with this information.
A week ago, 42% of Hillary voters had not changed their minds and most will not vote for Obama November 4th. Many will vote for McCain, some will vote third party and others will only vote for down ticket Democrats.
We have been working like crazy for your party since the Democratic Convention was over, but many of us are very upset to not see the Republican party step up and work to get John McCain elected themselves. Are you all willing to lose this election to Barack Obama?
I will not keep working to help you if I don’t see more action from your party.
Do you think I am kidding with all these claims about PUMAs working to help keep Obama out of the Whitehouse? If so, look at this website that lists some of the websites of Democrats working to defeat Obama: http://www.justsaynodeal.com/index2.html
(click on the links listed down the right side of the page and see what is going on).
I am warning you that the way things are going, John McCain is not going to win and Republican’s will be at fault for not vigorously supporting their candidate and working harder to defeat Obama.
PUMA Democrat from California
I posted #392 because one of the ANTI-McCain/Palin viral emails I’ve gotten, has, as one of its main points, that McCain, if elected president, has a VERY good chance of dying in office (and explains why)…
#311 NoBamDem And what has the Senate Ethics Committee ever done about BO violating the Logan Act? I am becoming more alarmed by the day with the emergence of the next coming of Hitler, what with little kids singing song, his picking up voters and dragging them to the polls, and his own little channel. Also, I have a friend from England who is a US citizen and is voting for BO because she obviously is a socialist. She obviously doesn’t know the facts about his piss-poor health plan which isn’t going to cover everyone. I’m tired of trying to convince people how evil this man is. This is what she wrote me when I asked her why she was voting for the empty suit:
I agree with almost everything obama says, and i agree with mccain the least of all the original 12 candidates. I grew up in a socialistic country, and i work in social services, and i believe in helping people, such as with health care. I would never vote for someone who stands against what i believe in. My family and i have always thought it strange that in a wealthy country like this, there are people who don’t have health care. Not everyone can succeed. Reagan’s attitude was if you don’t do well in your life, tough, and i totally disagree with that.
This “taking the high road” just sounds nice, it doesn’t get you anywhere. He’s beginning to remind me of Bob Dole in ’96, who put up no fight against Bill Clinton.
MIMI1020 I couldn’t even watch the whole ad. I just tried to call his HQ and got an answer phone. I sent him a message thru his website. Now he’s pulled out of Michigan and was doing not bad there. What is the maverick? I see nothing but a wimp. I hope Palin sticks it to them tonight and if McCain doesn’t get tough after the debate, say hello to Nazi Germany.
I feel very frustrated as all that we do and all the negatives against him, people are still following him like sheeplings. Just like they did Hitler and yes, he has a severe case of NPD and should be tested.
here’s a paragraph from a book im currently reading about italian fascism during the time of mussolini:
“We too in America have a spoils system, which is talked about every four years when a President is elected, and sometimes when a governor is elected, but this refers largely to a few jobs, a little graft, a considerable payoff for the boys in the back room of politics. It is also true that we in America have ruling families, men and corporations who put up most of the money for elections, and do not do so because one candidate has baby blue eyes and the other is beetle-browed. It is done for money, and the investors in politics are repaid. But Fascism is a system whereby a handful of ruling families get the entire nation.”
Thanks for listing the Republican Party’s address and e-mail address. I think they will probably do more with our information than MCCain. Remember when the Republican Party put out an ad about OB’s pastor, Rev. Wright and MCCain said he didn’t do it and that he wasn’t for it. The Republicans really need to do something fast. I just can’t stand thinking of OB in the White House with all his radical friends looking down at us and making our country worse than it is. It just scares me.
Kids singing Obama song :
Read this from a German blog.
http://blogs.dw-world.de/acrossthepond/michael/1.7185.html
Scary Song: Children’s Musical Praise For Obama
Because of Barack Obama’s rapid political rise, his immense popularity with various groups of people, and his ability to draw thousands of fans to his public speeches in the U.S. and abroad, some conservative commentators have labeled Obama followers a cult and Obama the “messiah.” I have always considered these accusations nothing more than a sign of partisan envy. Just because McCain doesn’t energize the Republican base and is not able to attract the masses to his speeches, doesn’t make a cult out of Obama supporters.
But after watching this video featuring children singing about Obama, which has been circulating on the internet and has received media attention since it was linked to via the Drudge Report, I am starting to wonder whether the phenomenon we all have matter-of-factly called Obamamania deserves a closer look.
To me it is scary seeing young children praising a political leader in a seemingly professionally choreographed setting. At first, I thought, perhaps as a German I am overly sensitive to things like this. After all, what’s wrong with some kids singing about a politician they like? So I am glad that I am not the only one who has a problem with this video. Ben Smith and Mo Rocca have interesting takes on the issue.
But beyond its creepiness factor, what are we to deduct from this video? Assuming Obama becomes president, a lot of his supporters with expectations like those expressed in the video are bound to be bitterly disappointed, because those expectations are impossible to be fulfilled by a president.
#509 bluesgal on 10.02.08 at 3:52 pm
McCain pulling out of Michigan
John McCain is pulling out of Michigan, according to two Republicans, a stunning move a month away from Election Day that indicates the difficulty Republicans are having in finding blue states to put in play.
McCain will go off TV in Michigan, stop dropping mail there and send most of his staff to more competitive states, including Wisconsin, Ohio and Florida. Wisconsin went for Kerry in 2004, Ohio and Florida for Bush.
McCain’s campaign didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
Republicans had been bullish on Michigan, hopeful that McCain’s past success in the state in the 2000 primary combined with voter dissatisfaction with Democratic Gov. Jennifer Granholm and skepticism among blue-collar voters about Barack Obama could make it competitive.
McCain and his running mate Sarah Palin spent the night after the GOP convention at a large rally in Macomb County, just outside Detroit. The two returned later last month for another sizable event in Grand Rapids.
But recent polls there have shown Obama extending what had been a small lead, with the economic crisis damaging an already sagging GOP brand in a state whose economy is in tatters.
A McCain event planned for next week in Plymouth, Michigan, has been canceled.
#522 itbj2 on 10.02.08 at 4:02 pm
WHY IS EVERYBODY SO SAD.
How many times do you have to write off the McCain camp to realize that what really matters who wins the race instead of who is ahead right now.
Trust me McCain will win this in a landslide. What makes me think this?
Well there is no enthusiasm for Obama. Do you really think that if everybody was crazy about Oama that I would have hardly any Obama signs in my entire town. In 2004 you could barley keep from stepping on Kerry signs. There is hardly anything this time around. Democrats don’t care about Obama. They will not come out to vote and if they do they will probably vote for McCain. When it really comes down to it McCain can be trusted and Obama can’t. People vote with their gut not their head. For everyone of us there is 1000s of people who have the same mind set.
Could you imagine not voting for a Democrat 10 months ago. Many of you have never penciled in a republican for any office. So if you are not voting for him you can image how many people there are out there who feel the same way.
Read this post which will shed some light on what is going on with the polls. Plus Obama is still at 48 in Gallup. Which is actually heavily biased.
#503 Mick We are not blaming the Republican Party, we are blaming McCain who appears weak and ineffective. I remember John Kerry also being weak and called his campaign HQ to tell them he had better start fighting back. Well he didn’t. McCain needs to step up to the plate and get tough. He is the one we want to hear from. All of his ads are wimpy, nothing, silly. We want substance. Furthermore, his vote for the bailout may very well have cost him the election. He is supposed to be a maverick, well sorry, I don’t see it.
I am with you. We can’t turn sour on McCain or the media wins. It has been their #1 mission from the moment they succeeded in wiping Hillary from the Top of the ticket and then the bottom of the ticket.
We’ve lived these tricks before.
Please let me just point out one critical fact: John McCain pulled off the surprise of a lifetime when he successfully kept his choice of Sarah Palin under wraps from EVERYONE. Everyone in America was blown away that there was not one leak. Not one!
If anyone can pull off the most significant October Surprise in all of presidential politics, it is John McCain.
Keep the faith. We’ve got about 2 or 2.5 weeks before the real goods start dropping. Until then, do not be deterred.
#530 Bella-Me on 10.02.08 at 4:07 pm
I think all the frustration you all are expressing about McCain not seeming to be aggressive enough is wasted energy. Any October surprise would not be used this early because whatever they may have would give Obama time to recover. Look at how quickly he recovered fom Wright, Pflager, Michelle, Ayers, Rezko etc. etc. If there is an October surprise it would be beneficial to be used near the end of the month rather the beginning.
McCain does not want to lose and the Republicans certainly do not want to lose. PUMAs need to be patient. I am certain this campaign knows what they are doing. Palin has to pass the test tonight. Don’t let the polls scare you, they are fixed.
Terry Do -
There is no mutiny. Just us, being very frustrated and pointing a finger at McCains campaign. We should just focus on what we can do. Yesterday, we proved we could effect media attention. VP moderator Gwen was not pulled from the debate, but we let her and Obama’s people know that she has been tagged and is being watched so she should be her professional self as we expect her to be.
I really do believe that we have a good thing to hit all American’s who have guzzled the kool aid. Hit them hard with videos of the kids singing praise to Obama. This is a very damaging video – not directly ordered by the man himself but that his followers are doing it and it was on his website and later taken down. I was showing my staff this morning and was surprised a few were taken off “a blank video screen saying this video is no longer available” . I found another one and this one shows actual footage of Hitlers youth movement singing about him.
Please show it to everyone, bring your lap tops with you and make it known. A lot of people I showed it to, didn’t know about it. It really scares them when they see the implications and the association.
below is a new link I found that contrasts this with Hitlers kids singing:
Great points, thanks for the ray of sunshine. (I’d make a smiley face but I don’t know how.)
Your point about the yard signs is very interesting. In my neighborhood, there about only a handful of Obama signs and bumper stickers. During primary season, there were hundreds of Hillary signs all over the place.
A Reponse from DISH Network -
“DISH Network Channel 73 is paid advertising by the Obama campaign and is not an endorsement of Senator Obama by DISH Network. DISH Network made the same offer to the McCain campaign, an offer that remains open.”
Let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Parker C. McConachie
Manager, Corporate Communications
senator mccain needs to generate some excitement..some buzz to reenergize his campaign..
he still can turn this thing around if he brings out the heavy artillery and starts blasting away at the obama campaign ..we want to hear the blast ,see the smoke and the fire spitting from the cannons mouth.. that could get senator mccain victory
Sorry Mick, I think at some point you voted for Hillary but vote Republican often? Correct.
This attack is not at you but the Republican Campaign that is doing a terrible job at trying to win this election as far as I can see. Today John McCain is pulling out of Michigan?
Sorry that the news is not good for Republicans, but even though Hillary may have to carry the PovertyPimp over the finish line to stay in her party, I am not a loyal Democrat any more, nor am I a Republican. I am sick and tired of working to help Republicans win this election when they are acting too soft and cowardly towards the corruption in Obama’s campaign, ACORN and the DNC.
I don’t want a party that is willing to roll over any more than I do not want Obama.
#523 BillieJo -
I believe there is much honor in not giving up. I fight with myself all day long – wanting to give up. Wanting to just bury myself in my business which is so behind – but I always go back to one thing. This is about my adopted country, America that has given me so much. I have to keep fighting.
This is not about McCain, Obama, Puma, us, them – this is about America – it really is , at least for me.
Please get off the hammock, :) :mrgreen: Mr. Green is goading you to get up ! You have been doing so wonderful, you were one of the BEST.
I like your thinking…
Do you really think that if everybody was crazy about Oama that I would have hardly any Obama signs in my entire town.
————————————————–
Now that you bring that up, I have not seen a single Obama sign where I am at . No McCains either (but that is probably because they are afraid to put them out)
Not seeing Obama signs up is a good thing, because we know they are not afraid to put their signs out.
Now we were in the Dallas area a couple of weeks ago and we only saw 2 Obama signs
Maybe their are more supoorting McCain than anyone thinks…..
We all now how the polls are. I mean look at how off they were on Hillary in some of the states…
Great to hear a positive post…. : )
There are many PUMAs who work quietly behind the scenes and never post. I’m one of them. But aren’t you glad we’re out here? If pumapac was composed of only the members who post, you’d have a very small group! I’ve been a member since June 5. I get most of the prowls done, have contributed money, and contribute in other ways. I don’t need any credit for that, I just feel like I have to establish that I’m a “loyal” PUMA. Overall, this IS a great blog and this IS a great cause, but I’ve been on the verge of posting many times and have changed my mind each time because of squabbles, one-upmanship (who works the hardest), and suspicion of new posters. I have little free time, would post infrequently, happen to be a little bit shy, and don’t want to be judged. This is one tough election, and I could use some comrades. I live in Arkansas and have loved and admired Bill and Hillary Clinton since the late ’70s, so I was one of the cracks in the glass ceiling for Hillary, but I have lots of cracks in my heart that I’m still trying to heal. The defeat of BO would do wonders for me. So, I’m going to stay out here, but please know that I’m out here and there are many more like me. I hope this doesn’t offend you, but please don’t be so quick to judgement.
#548 KarenWI on 10.02.08 at 4:18 pm
Well, let’s all do all we can, plus pray, that Obama does NOT get in. along with his cronies Pelosi and the rest. Because if he does, with that dem leadership in charge of the congress, he’d have a free ride to turn this country into Cuba or… who knows what….
503 mick McCain is like a foundered horse~~~we’re just trying to prod him up on his feet again.
I think McCain is getting thrown under the bus like Hillary was tossed under by the DNC. Probably because McCain isn’t right winged enough and Sarah isn’t male enough.
Well, here is the email I just got back from Dish Network.
Thank you for your e-mail. We appreciate your comments and concerns regarding the Obama Channel; please understand that the Obama Channel (CH 73) is paid advertising by the Obama campaign and is not an endorsement of Senator Obama by DISH Network, and that the programming offered by DISH Network does not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of the corporation.
This space has been purchased similar to any other channel we broadcast, and any other candidate who wishes to purchase a channel through DISH Network will be given the same opportunity. At this time, no other candidates have showed interest in purchasing a channel.
McCain himself cannot go negative – again – not now. Unfortunately his previous recent efforts at bringing up negative on BO ended up creating much bad PR – mostly because the ads were stretching the truth.
Plus McCain, BO & Bush have all been saying that this is a time for bi-partisanship – and thus McCain can’t look like he’s saying one thing but doing another.
For me – this is simply another reason for the urgency to get this bailout vote behind us. Once that’s over then I’m guessing it will be all about taking the gloves off toward BO.
Can you imagine the negative PR & public opinion if the republican party or McCain went really strong negative toward BO while the bailout voting is still going on? It would just put him in the same place as Pelosi for her partisan speech before the first congress vote.
I say the McCain campaign is waiting for the bailout voting to end and they will then come out swinging.
See links below about previous efforts by RNC & McCain campaign going negative and the beating they took by the biased media. No one focused as much on what was said about BO – it was more about McCain being negative and acting less presidential than BO.
