One of the strategies to help defeat BO is to blog all over the internet to help spread our case against him so he’s defeated in Nov.
Here’s one idea on how you can do that in a more efficient and effective manner.

• -Write on any current topic, such as Acorn or the fascist “truth squads” or the bracelet thing or any good event, point or case against BO… OR you can write on why BO would not be good for our country (and briefly list the main reason) and urge others to not vote for him. • -Post your post here (in our PUMApac blog) AS WELL AS all in various websites and blogs in the internet where you think they’ll do the most good.
Include some PUMA/ Just Say No Deal Websites and the McCain site (to enrich the ammunition of people “campaigning” against BO) and also in other websites that reach the general public, esp. undecided voters. These might include news-sites, both local and national (post under any elections-related article) and others… but avoid the pro-BO sites, since their readers are “beyond hope.”

Dances – I think your idea of smaller newspapers picking up Letters to the Editors seem to work over some of the bigger ones – too many fish in the pond on the bigger ones – where the smaller ones will take it on – I had 7 of mine picked up from the HRC site – all smaller newspapers – and had none picked up from the larger ones..

My resident obot has never registered to vote prior to this year and has never had jury duty in his life. I started getting jury duty immediately after registering to vote in this county and, at times, have had it pretty much as frequently as allowed by law. Lost count at this point. It slacked off the last 4 years or so, but now its started up again as I am currently on jury duty.
The filth in the Democratic Party is outrageous. Between Dodd and Barney Frank, they are a disgrace to democrats everywhere.
Thinking it would be acceptable to democrats inserting a provision for anything to do with Acorn under the guise of affordable housing is just Beyond the Pale.

This is scary stuff – and just reinforces my belief that we never really see the true seat of power; I’m worried that BO will get in. I am concerned too, watching Mc drop here in NC. What I am hearing is the Palin factor. These bad interviews are bringing the Mc camp down. I have heard more people tell me how stupid she is add that with different belief system. They are unsure now of what to do.

Clinton told NBC’s Tom Brokaw that it was only earlier this month in Harlem that he and Obama had their “first conversation.”
Clinton then explained what he meant in characterizing McCain as a “great man.”
“I think his greatness is that he keeps trying to come back to service without ever asking people to cut him any slack or feel sorry for him or any of that stuff because he was a POW,” Clinton said of the Republican presidential nominee.
Clinton, who successfully ran his own 1992 presidential campaign on the now commonly used phrase “it’s the economy, stupid,” said that he believed the current economic crisis “left [Obama] in a position of leadership that he’s now in.”
Clinton said he and Obama are developing a “really good relationship,” and the Democratic nominee has the potential for greatness. Explaining, he said Obama has many personal accomplishments, but none that exemplify his greatness to the country.
“When he becomes president, he’ll be doing things for the American people and for the world and he is-and the greatness will then become apparent because of the good he’ll do…That’s what I very much believe is going to happen.”
Some have questioned Bill Clinton’s support for Obama following the protracted primary battle between the Illinois senator and Hillary Clinton. The former president praised Obama during his speech at the Democratic National Convention and declared Obama “ready to be president of the United States,” as both sides tried to bring an end to the “Clinton-Obama rift” storyline.
Clinton himself was among the most outspoken critics of Obama’s readiness during the primary season.
The reason it has taken him so long to hit the trail for Obama was the need for him to return to work on his foundation after the long primary season, Clinton explained Sunday.
He is expected to campaign for Obama in Florida, Ohio, northeast Pennsylvania, and Nevada after the Jewish holidays.
“I’m going to do my very best to do every single thing he asks me to do,” Clinton said.

Screw the polls….remember as others have reminded here how more than once the polls showed exactly the same things regarding Hillary and usually before an important primary. So…let us keep going with no let up and let no feelings of being afraid stop us.

I took a the text of a post I made downstairs and expanded it into an e-mail that I sent to everyone on my contact list. I got some very good immediate reaction back from people (it does grab one’s attention). Dances thought it was a good candidate for the action center, as it has the “legs” to possibly go viral.
The similarities betwen Hitler’s tactics in his rise to power and what we are seeing with the Obama campaign are striking to say the least. A common question often asked about Hitler is how an obscure bastard child with no record of accomplishment could rise to power.
One can ask the same questions about Obama, and if you examine the tactics employed by both in the historical context of then and now, the visual is rather eye opening. And, as far as I know, it is not a comparison anyone has made (or dared to make) to date.
Even if you don’t want to use it, it may be worth a read.

I don’t know if you are just gunning for McCain, or actually believe there is no hope in hitting the ground and putting yourself out there to try and reach more people. Personally, I think that the 1000+ phone calls I made on behalf of the HRC campaign, and flying to Texas to work on the ground for her did make a difference. Not only that, it felt good doing it. OK, I went to zogby.com today and see that the most recent poll out today is Obama by 1. What is more interesting is if you click on the updated Electoral vote map (updated 9/25) It has Obama ahead, however when you click on the purple states, you will see that John McCain is ahead in every swing state except New Mexico and North Carolina. And except for 1 state he is ahead by about 5 points in the rest. If those stats hold, McCain would win 284 to204.
Also I want to comment on that video that some Puma posted yesterday showing McCain’s victory.
That was the dumbest thing the Obama campaign has ever done. To send out pictures into the universe showing a McCain victory in such vivid terms is creating an outcome. It doesn’t matter what words are written at the end, it is the pictures that create reality.( I am a big proponate of The Secret). Whoever made that video, has no idea about ‘The Law of Attraction”.
And this video will continue to be sent around by Obama supporters. The more it gets sent around, the more it will take hold.

EXACTLY! The Gallup organization has been shilling for Obama since day one. The others have been manipulating their samples by increasing the number of Democrats polled versus Repubs and independents. In addition, there is evidence that some of the participants are not even US citizens!
In the online polls, there was a report today that revealed US citizens participating comprised only 20% of the number of responses!!! The UK had double the number of US participants with 42%, with other countries (including the Middle East) rounding out the remainder.
No one has called me, and I prescreen my calls anyway. If there is a number I don’t recognize or a blocked call, I just let it go to voice. If a pollster gets that kind of response, they just move down the call list.
Keep your head down, ignore the polls, and dig in as if this is the last election you will ever work on. With a unified effort, Obama can be relagated to a footnote in the history books of the future. People United does mean action.

The AOL poll just jumped 800 votes in a matter of 30 secs.
If Obama has to win a poll this way. I say SCREW HIM!!!! Him and his fans are really staring make me mad.
Those states were Wisconsin, where Bush led by 8 points, and Minnesota, where Kerry led by 8 points.
In the other states, Bush had leads of 2 points in Iowa and 4 points in Pennsylvania. Kerry had leads of 3 points in Florida and 4 points in Ohio.
The figures were mostly the same among registered voters, except in Pennsylvania, where Kerry had a 2-point lead

For some of you Dems still sitting on the fence about voting for McCain, let me speak as a former Democat. I left the party a few years back with I saw it being taken over by the far left wacko’s. Or as Zell Miller stated, “The party left him”. There is no room in the current Dem party for conservative or moderate voices. I’m a Repub now and I doubt that I’ll return the the Dem party, but I might consider it if people representing my views and values ever come back to power.
Obama’s election will destroy your party! (Worse yet it may destroy our country) If you want your party back, you start with defeating Obama, then work on getting rid of the likes of Dean, Pelosi, Reed, etc. They are a cancer. Keep fighting!

MILWAUKEE (AP) — The mother of a Wisconsin soldier who died in Iraq says she was “ecstatic” when Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama mentioned during Friday’s debate the bracelet she gave him in honor of her son.
Tracy Jopek of Merrill told The Associated Press on Sunday she was honored that Obama remembered Sgt. Ryan David Jopek, who was killed in 2006 by a roadside bomb.
Jopek criticized Internet reports suggesting Obama, D-Ill., exploited her son for political purposes.
“I don’t understand how people can take that and turn it into some garbage on the Internet,” she said.
Jopek acknowledged e-mailing the Obama campaign in February asking that the presidential candidate not mention her son in speeches or debates. But she said Obama’s mention on Friday was appropriate because he was responding after Sen. John McCain, the Republican nominee, said a soldier’s mother gave him a bracelet.
“I’ve got a bracelet, too, from Sergeant — from the mother of Sergeant Ryan David Jopek, given to me in Green Bay,” Obama said during the debate. “She asked me, ‘Can you please make sure another mother is not going through what I’m going through?’ No U.S. soldier ever dies in vain because they’re carrying out the missions of their commander in chief. And we honor all the service that they’ve provided.”
Jopek says Obama’s comment rightfully suggested there’s more than one viewpoint on the war.
She wouldn’t directly say whether she wanted Obama to refrain from mentioning the bracelet again, but said she hopes the issue will just go away.

THE DEBATE ARGUMENT HE DIDN’T MAKE – BUT COULD STILL HELP HIM WIN
During Friday’s debate, John McCain assiduously and inexplicably avoided using the issue that might have won him the debate and the presidency: opposition to a taxpayer-funded bailout of the financial crisis.
Congress is about to pass – and the president is about to sign – a bill that the American people detest by 2:1 margins. When Americans realize that there is, indeed, an alternative to handing over $700 billion to financial institutions as a reward for their failure, opposition to the idea will swell even further.
The bailout ideas proposed by the House Republicans and trumpeted by former Speaker Newt Gingrich make eminent sense. Indeed, they make so much sense that it is as if the roles of the parties have been reversed. It is the Republicans who are demanding that the banks and financial institutions pay for their own bailout, granting them only a mixture of loans and premium-paid insurance, while the Democrats want to pass the hat among the taxpayers to buy their dirty paper.
In an unusual act of political foresight and skill, the normally dead-headed House Republican leadership has crafted a platform that can carry the party to victory in November. All that remains is for the Party’s candidate – and perhaps even its president and Treasury Secretary – to get on board. McCain can recover at the negotiating table the economy issue he lost in Friday’s debate. He needs to have the courage of his convictions and insist on a bailout without requiring taxpayer-funded purchase of defunct mortgages from failing institutions.

The Democrats and our politically-challenged president have failed to appreciate the difference between spending and lending. Treasury Secretary Paulson can be excused for not realizing it. Politics is not his thing.
But John McCain must realize the crucial distinction and must use his leverage to stop a taxpayer-funded bailout, insisting instead on loans and insurance.
If McCain stands firm, the Democrats will either have to pass the bailout package on their own, without Republican votes, and rely on Bush’s signature on the bill to provide a fig leaf of bipartisanship – or they will have to cave in and pass the Republican package.
Either way, McCain comes out ahead.
If he gets his way, he gets credit for the bailout. If he doesn’t, he can spend the campaign attacking Obama and the Democrats for spending $700 billion of taxpayer money.
If the Democrats don’t adopt either course and play a game of chicken with the Republicans, their Congressional status as the majority party dooms them to taking the blame for any ensuing collapse.
Voters can count.
They know that Reid and Pelosi are Democrats and that they control Congress. With this power comes responsibility.
And if the Democrats do nothing – that is they fail to use their majorities to pass a bailout or to cooperate with the Republicans in adopting the GOP version of the package – it is they who will get the blame for the catastrophe which will follow.
The Democrats don’t dare take that chance.
The cards are dealt for John McCain. All he has to do is have the guts to do what he didn’t have the courage to do in the debate: Play the hand

Hillary was slaughtered from Durham north to the VA state line. Duke/Chapel Hill/and large AA community. If Mc losses NC, it will be because of that area. Not to take anything a way from PUMA pac, just like a meeting room for actions that are easier to talk to one another and not have to read though tons of posts to get a reply on an action. People could jump back and forth depending on if they are feeling frustrated and want to work on an action or hang out and discuss things on the blog. There is no way Obama can win. Republicans by far are not going to vote for him and the party identification even in 2006 was 36% Republican, 38% Democratic, 26% Independent. 2006 is the year that the republicans lost the congress and of course who could forget Katrina. In addition, the party identification as a republican was at a all time low that year. The stuff that Obama stands for, the Republicans will not support. The so called “White people” support McCain over Obama by something like 9 points and they make up 80% of the electorate according to 2006 exit poll (It was 77% in 2004). Now the talking heads would have you believe that there will be a big black turn out. But what everybody is forgetting is that blacks only make up 13% of the population. So whatever turnout they think they will get it won’t be much more then what they got in 2006 or 2004 which is about 10% to 11%. Further more, black population is concentrated mostly in southern states that McCain is winning no matter what the pollsters would have you believe. Now there is no evidence that Democrats will turn out in greater numbers then republicans. The republicans have been improving their numbers at the exit polls since 1996. The democrats held no more then a 4% advantage in the polls during the last 12 years and that number is down to 2% in 2006 and was 0% in 2004. So if republicans are going for McCain and independence are breaking for McCain then why are the polls in Obama’s favor you might ask. That is because the pollsters assume that there will be a 10% more democrats voting then republicans. The reason there was a bounce in the polls for McCain after the republican convention is because the pollsters reduced the bias to 5 points and McCain took the lead. Now they moved it back to somewhere around 10%. Does anybody think that people are changing their party identification that quickly? It’s strange to hear NObama supporter on FOX say they don’t care about polls when that’s all they can talk about. And out of the blue, they don’t pay attention to polls. Their internal polling must not be good. Every politicians ALWAYS do internal polling, that is SOP. Even Hillary during primary has internal polling, I’m sure McCain has it too.

I’ve been busy lately making phone calls all the way to California, calling people I know in LA, San Jose, Lancaster, SF, to get in touch with McCain HQ and campaign for him, make phone calls for McCain. My best friend, I’ve known since college days is busy right now campaigning for McCain in LA and surrounding area, he belong to a church group, they’re all campaigning for McCain. NObama scare the bejesus out of them.

I agree. We need to raise hell about this tomorrow. Need to hit ACLU really hard with a prowl so they put pressure on all the right parties. Need to put pressure on our elected Reps and need to spread the word throughout all media outlets. Are we up to it? We’ll see.

That’s a pretty tenuous connection between violence and some flyer in a newspaper. Why even mention it at all in connection with the McCain campaign?
Our mosques here are pretty well protected, especially during the holy season when there are so many crowds around the mosques. Still there have been some incidents. My friend who live close to her mosque was getting threatening phone calls and contacted authorities–it turned out to be another Moslem from a different country.
We also had incidents in Illinois with synagogues, and unfortunately several people were killed in several towns before the shooter was caught. In this case he had explicit literature that advocated killing certain groups of people.
The killer from the incident at the Knoxville church also had specific literature advocating killing people.

In all of the above situations, the person perpetrating the violence had materials advocating violence. The most recent Ohio incident does not, at least not that I have seen.
It’s the same old campaign trick. Take some idea that’s already somewhere in the public conscientiousness, (like r@cism…), then link it semantically with a political campaign, even if there is no real connection. Who really has time to look up all of this stuff? The public doesn’t fact check and ends up having in their minds that a certain politician was advocating violence against certain groups, when nothing of the sort happened.
The fact is, these incidents against mosques and synagogues have been happening all along. To suddenly claim that they are the result of McCain’s campaign is irresponsible. Show me the proof. There is no proof. Just innuendo. If there was any proof, they would have printed the proof.
It’s just another smear campaign.

I have not finished reading the thread but I have to insert that I agree with people who are reaching potential voters with anything that touches their personal lives, even if it includes the fact that they would rather not be putting themselves into the pool of jurors.
BO uses the personal touch every chance he gets but not necessarily in person. He has thousands of people in the streets and on message boards attacking everyone who might not be inclined to support their man. People back off. They get tired of being attacked. So if you say something, it is good if it hits people where they live.
I love to use the reality of BO getting federal money for housing in his district, which went to Rezko and a woman who is now on his election team. They did cheap renovations which fell apart in 6 years, refused to answer phones or fix problems, and now most of those people are out of their homes after the roofs caved in, plumbing and electricity failed, and the were frozen out in the Chicago winter. BO gave the people who voted him into office nothing, but his friends made out with a lot of money from those federal grants. In the meantime, Obama redrew his district so that he no longer represented the poor people, but moved his district into the rich people area.
That’s what Socialists and Communists do. Take away from the middle class to help the poor, then keep it for themselves. The poor get a little shot in the arm to keep them on board until their cries can no longer be heard by those who have moved on…as in moveon.org.
Every time you catch a show backing up Obama’s spin, EMAIL them, right away, and let them know that you don’t buy it and why you do not. Give them constructive criticism, IE: Katie Couric you were wrong to ask
“got you” questions when we have real questions. What the hell were you trying to pull off with that line of questioning? If you were trying to live up to the Charlie Gibson line of questioning, well we didn’t buy that either. Where are your journalistic standards.
Hit the media where it matters. Their jobs.
