Hispanics4Hillary and DancesWithPumas - wow - great information on the newspapers in N.M. The southern part of the state is pretty conservative, should go for McCain so if you were going to target specific areas of N.M., I would say that the ABQ area will be close and the Santa Fe area is 70% Democrats and it seems a great number of them are far left. If I can get any more demographic information for you, I'll post it.

This may sound somewhat counterintuitive, but I believe Bill Clinton is a much better former President than he was a President. I don't say that to minimize his tenure as President, but I have been following him from the beginning, and I believe that since he has been out of office, he has made that rare leap from "politician" to "statesman".

When Bill was first running for President, I was the youngest of 6 senior executives running a financial services holding company in the Northeast/MidAtlantic. Being good corproate citizens, we purchased tickets to all of the Dem and GOP events in our home city and took turns attending those events. As the youngster in the group, I drew the "short straw" - go to the event for one of the Democratic candidates for President - that guy from Arkansas.

I showed up my usual 30 minutes early and got some great standing room about 20 feet back from the podium. The guy from Arkansas was right on time. He stood in the middle of the stage, eschewing the podium, and for about 40 minutes, spoke without notes. He made eye contact with every single person in the room (anyone who has spoken in public can fully understand the virtual impossibility of this) and made the gathered listeners feel that he was speaking to them, not at them. His manner was confident and deliberate. And he didn't miss a beat. He took questions and gave concise and crips answers, never having to rely on a pregnant pause or an "uh" to gather his thoughts.

The next day at our 7:00 AM executive staff meeting, I was asked how the event went. I answered that while I had never seen JFK in person, I had seen video of his speeches. I noted that this guy from Arkansas was THE best extemporaneous speaker I had ever seen. He had an uncanny grasp of the issues of which he spoke, and removed any doubt as to his capabilities.

That guy from Arkansas was Bill Clinton. When he was first elected, he had been battered in the partisan electoral process that had polarized both sides. His start was a little rocky, with many of the issues of national import a new experience for him. He was just hitting his stride when the whole Lewinsky thing broke, which severely compromised his ability to effectively perform his duties.

But still, the man was and is probably the most intelligent person to grace the White House in our lifetimes. And he was still a force to be recokened with.

After he left office, with the passage of time, I believe the pressure of partisanship had less and less of an impact on him. He continued to grow as a person and as a political figure, something that does not happen very often, since people departing from lofty positions are usually content to sit on their laurels.

And then it hapened. Somewhere Bill Clinton became a statesman. That rare leader that had all but disappeared from our political landscape.

Too bad he is retired from the game.

#379 Noblecascade on 09.25.08 at 12:04 pm #375 GoHillaryGo…be careful saying that..I said the very same thing yesterday and got jumped for being an Obot.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

My Passion against Obambie is far too deep, the creep. I love my country with passion. I want to see Obambie spend time in jail as a Traitor and for fraud in this election. Let his body out of jail after it is dead will keep me happy. And his slim supporters who post on the internet can get tarred and feathered.

I feel like this election is for the freedom of the entire world. Obambie is a Communist and I dont like Communists. The rest I try not to call him too many names.

I just find it hard to believe that he ever got any where. Most people with his background would be laughed out of public office. I just read the posting on incompetents. hit the nail on the head for Obama. What is going on in America. Why does MSM seem to allow this to happen. Is everyone getting paid off.

What happened to honesty and truth and integrety.

There should not even be an Obama. This should never have a possibility of happening.

I am going to vote for McCain and of course for Palin who I really like but disagree with on some issues. But Hillary is still my number one hero. I want to cry for America. I want my Hillary as President.

I hope and pray that Berg nails Obama real good....

OBAMA & DNC HIDE BEHIND LEGAL ISSUES WHILE BETRAYING PUBLIC IN NOT PRODUCING A CERTIFIED COPY OF OBAMA’S “VAULT” BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND OATH OF ALLEGIANCE
Country is Headed to a Constitutional Crisis
(Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania – 09/24/08) - Philip J. Berg, Esquire, the Attorney who filed suit against Barack H. Obama challenging Senator Obama’s lack of “qualifications” to serve as President of the United States, announced today that Obama and Democratic National Committee [DNC] filed a Joint Motion to Dismiss on the last day to file a response, for the obvious purpose of delaying Court action in the case of Berg v. Obama, No. 08-cv-04083.
Their joint motion indicates a concerted effort to avoid the truth by delaying the judicial process, although legal, by not resolving the issue presented: that is, whether Barack Obama was “natural born.”
It is obvious that Obama was born in Kenya and does not meet the “qualifications” to be President of the United States pursuant to our United States Constitution. Obama cannot produce a certified copy of his “Vault” [original long version] Birth Certificate from Hawaii because it does not exist.
