About the Berg lawsuit – I visited PACER (Public Access to Court Electronic Records) and looked at the docket of the case. I don’t see any judge’s order entered yet. Looks like the fight is currently over proving service upon defendants.

Well, my mom had a message on her answering machine today from some republican group stating that she would be receiving an absentee ballot in the mail and she should return it and vote republican. What is up with that? I don’t ever remember absentee ballots being sent to people who didn’t request them.

The whole absentee ballot thing seems really strange to me, but apparently democrats and republicans are both doing it. I wonder if anyone knows why. My mom has not changed her party affiliation and has been a lifelong democrat, but the call was from republicans. Strange.

No, there was no call-back number. Just a message on my mom’s machine. I can’t remember exactly what it said, but the jist of it was that democrats will be bad for the country and their pork-barrel spending is out of control; also something about the democrats and their support of the bridge to nowhere. I do think it was legitimately a republican group that was calling. I just don’t understand why they would be calling my mom, who has never been called before by anyone, and why they are sending absentee ballots.
My mom is in bed now, but if she saved the message I will try to write it all down for everyone tomorrow. I wish I would have thought of it earlier.

The Michigan branch of Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), located in Detroit, is being investigated after several municipal clerks reported fraudulent and duplicate voter registration applications coming through.
ACORN has registered 200,000 voters statewide in recent months with the use of paid, part time employees.
Recently ACORN was in the news when the Milwaukee Election Commission started an investigation because of voters that ACORN was trying to add to voter rolls were dead, imprisoned or imaginary people.

you report it to your county election commission and I would call the state election commission and report it. i really don’t think it is legal.
Get all the information you can. Time of call or date of contact, person’s name you talked to, save the recorded message, what they told you… I would report EVERY time you get contacted. The county election commission reports to the state.
I would make it very very clear what your intentions are for election day (voting in person, etc) and that you better not have any problems or you will have an attorney waiting. There are tons of free attorneys willing to work for you. If I were you, I would actually contact the Green Party (because they are not Democrats and not Republicans) and see if they have an attorney you can go ahead and report this to as well.

PUMA ACTION ALERT suggestion. I think we should prowl the hell out of the polling companies, Zogby, Rasmussen, Gallup, all of them. Their sampling data does not account for PUMAs. McCain is actually more ahead than the polls show. For example, look at this Rasmussen article that breaks down the sample. In past years a 38 to 33 dem to repub would be representative of the country, but this year, PUMAs (democrats) are effectively voting for McCain. This means that Rasmussen should be sampling more republicans than he is. Obama is actually worse off than Rasmussen’s polls show.
Here is what I just wrote to the Rasmussen contact email address:
“Dear Sirs,
Your daily election poll is faulty because you are not taking into account the PUMAs. You should be polling more republicans, because for this election cycle, PUMAs are voting the McCain/Palin ticket.

Early Voting ballots can only be sent out by the COUNTY ELECTION COMMISSION. Here in Douglas County they will begin sending them out on September 29th TO THOSE WHO HAVE SENT IN an early voting ballot application.
You can be certain that anything else would be illegal and should certainly be investigated. Obama’s Camp is in panic mode right now so they will only increase their efforts to steal the election as they managed to steal the primary from Hillary. Let’s hope that the panic mode will produce some blatant mistakes.

Obama’s been in the Senate a little over 3 years, yet he made #3 on the list of biggest recipients of omney from Fannie Mae from 1989 through 2008.
Dodd was first at about $136,000 and Kerry was second. Both Dodd and Jerry have been in Congress since 1989. Obama comes in third at about $106,000 and he’s only been there for 3 years!!!!!
So over 20 years, Dodd averaged between $6000 and $7000 a year. Kerry about $5000 a year. Obama – -ready?- – -$35,000 a year!!!

Well, I haven’t watched the whole clip. I think it’s sad that hungover Tommy Christopher’s face and manic Christina Cedeno’s voice are in the documentary. At this point, most of the puma blogsphere knows that Tommy Christopher, an anti puma Obama lovin’ blogger on AOL, is a sad, liberal, alcoholic in denial who likely neglects his family, and Christina is a cyberstalking madwoman who devotes her entire blog to spying on regular people…which is VERY creepy.
It saddens me to see Tommy Christopher so unattractive and hung over and angry. Just bad…just sad. Bad bad bad…he should hate this recording…just horribly unattractive.
These folks do not deserve publicity, but if THESE people are the ones who stand for the symbolic “opposition” to Puma pac and the Just Say No Deal movement and all of that, ok–use them as scapegoats.
Honestly, I am very disappointed to see that these people are involved in the process. I pity these people. So does much of the internet who know what’s up.

I went to the McCain rally 9/16 in Tampa Florida. He only spoke for about 20 minutes and it was the same speech as Ohio I think. He seemed more relaxed and energized in Tampa. He really does come across with trust and genuine concern about changing the course of America. I am still getting the McCain bashing stuff from my Democrat friends. I guess they figure they have time to work on me to get me into BO’s corner. They really don’t have a clue!

On a personal note, I’m glad kurita was overturned, She has NEVER been a friend to Democratic causes. She was originally running against Harold Ford Jr. in 2006 and ran in oposition to unions. Mr. Barnes’ attorney was quoted in an article in today’s Clarksville paper (Leaf Chronicle) as saying that they ‘analyzed’ the voters in the primary election and found that many people voted for Senator Kurita who had voted Republican in the past. The attorney contends that would mean the Republicans determined the nominee of our Party. If we look into the private records of voters and determine that they can not vote for the candidate of their choice, especially when their Party had no candidate, then we may regularly be setting aside duly certified elections.

I also agree, Tommy (the moron on the couch) is creepy and throws off the interest of the movie. My 2 cents is that the story line jumps around too much. PUMAs that know all these people may keep the story lines seperate in their heads, but is this a documentary to enlighten outsides as to how regular Democrats became PUMAs and the events that took place? One more comment, I think if the movie starts out with you telling the nasty names people have called you or PUMAs, that should be stated in a subtitle, it will be a shock for new people to be hit with that at the beginning of the movie, and many older, more conservative folks may not listen after that. I am not saying it should be a Disney movie by any means, just wondering if you want to reach more people then PUMAs or not.

Saturday’s hearing is not about who should be punished. It is about Democracy and one person/one vote. It is about not setting aside an election unless there is clear and convincing evidence that serious irregularities have taken place. Mr. Barnes’ petition is sorely lacking in such proof.

I am with Alma Sanford on this one, I know how she feels, I have the same feeling about the Democratic Party, its not my party anymore. I don’t know how to describe the present Democratic Party, but it reminds me so much of a political party in my old country that supports dictatorship, making the government rule its citizens 24/7, requires complete obedience. When I left the Democratic Party on June 5, I knew I won’t be coming back; Denver Convention have just confirmed what I think of the Democratic Party, it’s the party I no longer hold with respect or trust.

I think Obama sounded Presidential like an actor playing President on a Hallmark Card. meaningless and vapid. with an added touch of arrogant pomposity. He prefaces every remark with a subtle inference that he is better educated than you, but that doesnt make him sound educated to me.
I liked the specificity of McCain’s answers. I only agreed with two of them, but I felt like I was disagreeing with something substantive — and I dont think he’s lying. wrong, wrong, wrong — but not lying.

I mean I didn’t think about Kurita being overturned as a sexist thing but I also didn’t know that there wasn’t even a republican running and you know what else, during that Primary, there was an election on the Democratic side for Senator. It would make sense that TONS of republicans would have crossed over if they wanted to vote in that Senate Race because Lamar Alexander is up for re-election on the republican side so if he had any repub opponent at all, it would have been just for show.
A family relative crossed over into the Republican primary in west tennessee to vote for the Republican running against Marsha Blackburn. It was really an election where strategic voting took place and it was low turnout and it was more likely that people voted in the Democratic election due to the senatorial race.
I was happy at first because I truly don’t like Kurita, but you know, the more I think about it and analyze it, yeah, it’s totally baseless that she should have to give up that seat. She did win. We don’t have party registration.

TODAY IS A NEW DAY
The Editorial mistakenly mis-characterizes John McCain’s position on this. One only need go to the website of JohnMcCain.com, hit “Issues” at the top of the main site page, go to “Economic Plan”, and one can delve into specific discussions of his plans for job creation, bringing order to our Federal Budget, etc.
Our economy is in desperate need of going in a new direction. With a total national debt of some nine trillion dollars, all America understands we need to go in a new and different direction, and we need to start yesterday. John McCain understands that and agrees.
The Editorial here generally discusses views that have been rightfully attributed to the position of the Republican Party of the past, so I commend the Times for bringing this forward so we all can correct this incorrect view, and do it immediately. Mr. McCain has already started to do so, and I know he will ramp it up, as to telling us more about his plans on this, and to do so with intensity.

I realize I am suggesting a lot of reading. I did it this past weekend.
For all the above reasons in this source material, and many others, I am voting for the Senator John McCain/Governor Sarah Palin ticket at the top, and then for all Democratic Party candidates for Congress.
I feel our Congress in Washington has been doing the absolutely best they could.
The problem has been the incompetent buffoon at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, and now with our economy teetering, Mr. Bush still doesn’t get it. It was his self serving policies and programs involving gross deceit all along the way that he forced down our throats that caused all this.
And you will see from above, Mr. Obama doesn’t get it either. He would only make things worse.
John McCain and Sarah Palin do get it, understand our country, know how to work across party lines, and I am convinced they are the best choice at the top of the ticket.
I urge all Americans to agree.

I can’t tell you guys how proud I am of my daughter Maryland Puma……….she really rocks and I wish that I had half of her wisdom with words so I am going to once again repost what she put on last night so that those who did not see it can do so now. I was in Denver. I saw what they did to Hillary. I saw what she endured from the DNC. So did you.
I am a Democrat, but no longer associate with my party because I no longer recognize it.
If I give to any organization for the remainder of this election season, and beyond, it will NOT be for the DNC. It will NOT be for the DNCC. It will not be for ANY Democrat who sat back and shut up as Hillary was villified and shat on and abused by her own party – the party that she (and you) have lived and breathed for years.
If I give, it will be to PUMA PAC, the Voice of the Voters of the Democratic Party. I am now a PUMA Democrat, and I will stand strong with my PUMA brothers and sisters of all races, religions, cultures and orientations as we fight to eradicate the diseases in the Democratic Party named Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Donna Brazile.

According to my local court clerk, the absentee ballot is the means by which most of the voter fraud is taking place. She says they are on the lookout for bogus absentee schemes. Believe it or not, some of Obama’s deceptive ways are getting noticed in offical circles.
Make sure your voting officials know about this. Whatever the official is in your district, whether it be the court clerk as it is in Indiana, or some other official, make it known. Also contact your state’s attorney general with the information. This sounds like it is nation wide. If it is, if the autorities know about it, they will publicize it, in most cases. Also contact your local newspapers and television stations. Shining light on the situation is the best way to get the word out to unsuspecting people.

The information on the televised debates in which AXELROD said that OBAMA would only debate under the circumstance of knowing the questions ahead of time, and also required a teleprompter was on KGNC 710 and its also on Coast to Coast Am, and Doug Stevens radio show. York Post report that quoted Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari as saying that Barack Obama during his July visit to Baghdad demanded that Iraq not negotiate with the Bush Administration on the withdrawal of American troops. Instead, he asked that they delay such negotiations until after the presidential handover at the end of January.
The three problems, according to campaign sources: The report was true, there were at least three other people in the room with Obama and Zebari to confirm the conversation, and there was concern that there were enough aggressive reporters based in Baghdad with the sources to confirm the conversation that to deny the comments would create a bigger problem.

This election is a joke all around. I might be nuts but maybe the Obama team put Biden on the ticket to see what crazy thing McCain might do, and he did by putting Palin on the ticket. This gets all the press for a few weeks, then in early October he pulls out a surprise and puts Hillary back on the ticket, gets all the press just in time for the election. If Mccain would of picked Mitt I don’t think this would even be considered. These guys are doing whatever it takes to win not the best interest of the country. Do you really think Mccain would of picked Sarah Palin as his running mate if he was the only one making the decision. If it was up to him he would of picked his buddy Joe Liberman, if not him then Mitt R.

I’m afraid this decision is going to come back and bite Hillary in the behind! I personaly don’t care what her reasons are, sometimes you have to make a decision on whats right or the right thing. The right thing would be to attend. I’m quite sure that Obama had something to do with it. Not wanting to appear with Palin, big smiles and all. I am disappointed in Hillary for this decision!
Since when did the “glass ceiling” apply to black men? OR HALF black men? I took women’s studies in college and the GLASS CEILING EFFECT was coined to compare the inequality of WOMEN in the WORKPLACE as OPPOSED to MEN, I am very resentful of that comment as Obama does NOT need to fracture any ceiling, he still has one hanging (I assume) and that DISQUALIFIES him from breaking the glass ceiling! I even had a professor in college basically offer me a grade for SEX, would he have done that to a male student? NO….

I just heard about Hillary pulling out of the UN Jewish rally supposedly because Sarah Palin was also invited. At first I was disappointed, but after a second cup of coffee, I saw the light. I think the Clinton’s know that this would anger many in the Jewish community and the response would be a jump to the McCain side. I read recently that BO has made good strides in recruiting the Jewish vote and this oughta check it. I don’t think the Clinton’s want BO to win any more than any of the PUMAs, but, they have party obligations that we don’t have. If we don’t see a trend of Jewish votes going to McCain, then I’ll go back to being disappointed and more.
Or, perhaps, Hillary is showing her true colors: she wants to be the center of attention. Just a thought.

If Hillary and Sarah both appear at the rally, the msm will concentrate on them and not the purpose of the rally. Since the UN is in NY, I think Senator Clinton should have been invited. Gov. Palin was invited because she is running for VP. Palin should not have been included as a speaker at the rally.

IMO, I think she was smart to pull out of the Protest. Once Palin was scheduled to be there it is now an ‘election’ event and by being there with Palin, her apperance is as a representative of Obama’s campaign. If she is trying to distance herself from him, this would not be a good move.

That there was voter fraud? All we see is a book that someone says has complaints in it. Were there really complaints? What kind? Okay, someone in some podunk town cheated, but so what. Was it enough to swing the election? Was it enough to swing Texas?
Or is the film trying to show that BO’s district did not change for the better? Are you sure the Hyde Park area pictured was part of the Obama district–there was some redistricting, and after 30 minutes of googling I can’t find a map of the 13th senate district in 1997-2004, maybe this one?

Other maps show this district quite a bit to the west and not on the lake. I do remember seeing BO on the ballot when I lived in Blue Island just south and west of the Chicago city boundary–no where near Hyde Park or the lake.
This documentary is great for true believers and I enjoyed it here and at the preview in Denver. I think it shows greater truths than just maps and has great potential. But if it is to be anything more than a feel-good hopey, changey movie, someone needs to remember back to what we all learned in English 101 about how to outline. What is your topic sentence?
