They are so scared. More scared than they’ve been since Hillary Clinton moved into the White House. They do this every time they get this scared, and they never get this scared of a man. Other people might wonder how politics and the media can be filled with so many pearl-clutchers when there are so few women in either profession, but such is the case. Some might suggest these folks were a little too close to mamma to grow up to be functional men, if you know what I mean. Still others might suggest it’s an intimacy-issues thing, the result of being cuckolded by empowered, irritated, unsatisfied wives. Whatever the source of this neuroses and dysfunction, the result is always the same:
Gary Kamiya’s article in Salon was graced by that picture of Palin. That picture of Hillary is from Spy Magazine, circa February 1993, just a month after she and Bill arrived in Washington. This is the Fourth Estate’s enfeebled attempt police the political class. But it only shows how distorted and mentally diseased they are, how much privilege they’ve been able to secure, which is to say, way too much. Maybe we need to run a Psychiatrist for president, so we can have these images translated for the media as they publish them.
What they don’t think about, because it’s so far outside the limited borders of their bubbled brains, is what effect this sort of propaganda has on some people, especially people aware of and open to feminist sentiments. That Spy Magazine cover made me a life-long fan of Hillary Clinton at the tender age of 22, and articulated in one image what she’s had to fight as a woman in politics all her life. It also made me shed the bullshit rhetoric swirling around women in my age group at the time that feminism wasn’t necessary anymore, and was odious to boot. The sympathy it created in me spurred the birth of a barrier wall in my brain, which grew with every dirty trick Republicans of the 1990s threw at Hillary or Bill. A lot of other Americans experienced this too. This wall of static sound developed for a lot of people, so that by 1995 all most people heard when they listened to Clinton critics and naysayers was a whole lot of what Lucy and Charlie hear when adults speak in a Peanuts cartoon: Waa-WAA-Waa-WAA-WAA.
But there was a danger I wasn’t aware of at the time, and the thought of that missed danger plagues me today. The kids of the 1990s weren’t able to build that wall of static, they absorbed and internalized all of those unfounded charges and characterizations. And because they were too young to understand what was going on, because parents felt uncomfortable talking about it to them because of the Lewinsky-sex issue, the little seeds of hate Republicans were trying to sow at the time landed in a lot of young, fertile hearts. And look where we are today. We’ve got young women so stupefied from all the confusion they can’t even see overt, rank sexism before their very eyes. We’ve got other, older women so hooked in to the white male power structure they’re unwilling to risk losing anything, to risk being put into leather and chains themselves, even if just in pictures. We’ve got a lot of young men monkeying those Republicans from the 90s, even some young men ostensibly smart enough to know better. These are monsters built in the ideological ovens of the 1990s. This is the legacy of 1990s, of all those Republican hit jobs.
This is the also danger we face today. Make no mistake about it. You cannot just go back to your couch, to watching Lost and House and whatever reality TV show it is you follow. Young women and men today, my 14 year old daughter among them, are absorbing the heat of the hit jobs this year. It is baking into their very flesh. IF Hillary runs in 2012, my daughter will be old enough to vote. What choice will she make after all she’s seen this year? So far she’s still an Obama fan, even though she now understands what Hillary had to deal with, and sympathizes with me over the sexism she herself can now identify. But just yesterday, as she sauntered off to bed, she couldn’t resist snarkily throwing this little gem in my face: “Why do you want four more years of Bush, Mom?” This is where she is after living her whole life with a feminist Hillary Clinton supporter. After all she knows about what happened this year, and because I am her mom she knows the whole sorry tale (and is sorry to hear it again), this is still the argument that works for her in her politically budding mind.
This is why we fight. We fight for my daughter and the millions of girls like her who are endangered by the sexist rhetoric that passes for media these days. We fight for the millions of boys who are looking at the Progressive Dude Nation right now, at their style, their pazzazz, their irreverence, and who are wanting to posture the same stance one day if they haven’t adopted it already. There is more at stake than just this year, this election, or the next four years. There are legions of young minds being shaped, and we must inform them, using rhetoric that is natural to their intellect, of what is going on right now and what is possible for the future.

On CNN yesterday on Larry King (I think) Hilary Rosen was repeating the now discredited item about how that Palin had cut special need education etc. etc. After that segment Anderson Cooper came on next with a guest who debunked that very rumor as — a rumor. Now today Wolf (egomaniac) Blitzer came again with Hilary Rosen who was again repeating this very same bunk rumor.
She wrote Wolf and Cooper emails demanding an explanation ..

I’m not so sure about psychiatrists as Presidents. It isn’t as if they are any more credible than any of the other freakish androids in a long line of US Presidents.

Just talked to an Obot here at work, we have been going around and around for months and the difficult time is keeping it civil.
The two important things I gained about the Obama youth vote downfall -in all these conversations are:
1 – They are afraid Obama will not be leading before the election and many young people will not take the time to go out and actually vote.
2 – Many young Obama supporters do not know that Obama voted for FISA.
Believe it or not, they do know about the concept, and that it is bad (FISA is aimed at regulating the collection of “foreign intelligence” information in furtherance of U.S. counterintelligence, whether or not any laws were or will be broken.), but………
many do not know what the acronym stands for, and therefore don’t know that when he voted ‘yes’ on FISA, what he voted for that amendment to be passed.
More informed Obama supporters that figured this out have already fallen off of the O’Train to the edge of the cliff.

We were joking about that in the last few days.. when we heard questions like where is Biden ? And Biden better ask for documentation of his VP job – the writing is kinda on the wall. I bet they will cook up a story like he has some health problems or something, and has to step down. Hillary gets thrown up to get those votes… that Palin is chipping away.

NASHUA, New Hampshire (CNN) — Joe Biden told supporters at a town hall Wednesday afternoon that Barack Obama might have been better off choosing Hillary Clinton as his running mate.
“Make no mistake about this, Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Let’s get that straight,” Biden said testily when a voter told Biden he was glad the Delaware senator had been chosen and not Clinton.

Well fellow (feline) PUMA’s, had a chance to click on Mr. Ed Schultz again today while driving, and of course you know I couldn’t resist eavesdropping on another tirade. Today’s “cry with me” hour featured a professor “pollster” interview in which Ed asked the poll “expert” about the latest turnaround with respect to white women voters!
Pollster said, “Do not worry, Mr. Ed! Remember the polls were wrong about Bush & Gore, or was it Bush & Kerry.” Anyway it was a sad & pitiful example of mainstream media trying to get the answers they like by asking the wrong questions.
Then, the polling “expert” said he was “skeptical” of the latest polls. Why, you may ask? BeCAUSE they indicated “such a _large_ shift” of bedrock Democrats into the “Independent” column. So, Mr. Expert said, this could not be right. Then Eddie says “Have you ever seen such great outreach to the Young voters as Obama has achieved?” and on & on it went. Hope on!
After that they went on the “usual” (scare tactics) tirade about ROE v WADE. Cry, cry, cry.
After that Randi Rhodes comes up to bat blasting away at McCain’s new ad, (and playing an Obama speech from today saying “Enough! Enough! Enough!” over and over again). And all the while Randi making sympathetic clucking noises about precious in the background, tisk-tisk.
All this I heard in a 20-30 minute span of time & that was all I could take, ha-ha!

Re: HC stepping in as VP
Some friends and I had started discussing this possibility about a week ago when “someone” came on to this blog and asked us what we thought about HC being the VP. If she took the VP slot now I would be absolutely torn but saddened that I could not vote for her. I’m soooo sorry HC, but I just couldn’t vote for BO and the ONC (formerly DNC) as it is now. At this point I am embarrassed to call myself a Democrat. I can’t believe that BO would attack Palin as he has. She attacked him on his lack of experience. She didn’t hurl personal attacks. Can you imagine the uproar if she had implied BO was a pig! No ma’am, Sen. Clinton. I can’t get involved with the DNC as it is now. You can’t help the party anymore, even as the VP. Keep campaigning for downticket Democrats.

They were showing this on the news and let me tell you I have never seen so many brand new cars owned by POOR people, Oh and they were beating the hell out of each other to get them. A top pollster recently said that OHIO might be the deciding state in Nov… But Rasmussen, on Hannity & Colmes Mon. night, said that VA may be the OH of this election.
I think that the most crucial states (to put our energies into) are OHIO and then PA, Mich and FL… and maybe also VA and CO because of their unusual drift to blue (BO!) lately.

I still don’t understand the lawsuit and that he isn’t a citizen because his mother wasn’t a certain age. I think that we should buy radio advertising on small regional radio stations or in local newspapers in the rural/suburban areas of swing states, one week before the election so that the other side cannot respond. We should highlight our PUMA grievances and urge people not to vote for OBAMA. It is possible that they may be rethinking their VP choice. I sure hope it is not so. The entire campaign is now unraveling which I predicted long ago. To include her into this mess is way too late in the game. And to include her is also incredibly demeaning. Again and again, we all know – She won, she is the qualifeid cnadidate for POTUS, nothing less.
What the right thing to do (and even now it may be too late) is to have Uhbama step down and give her the nomination for POTUS.
But again, it is too late. And I believe the general feeling among most was if to have her as the VP to begin with would not bring enough votes to give him a win anyway.
Let him carry this through as is so that he goes down so hard so fast that his reputation will be unrecoverable, get voted out of public office entirely and we can hopefully can think of him down the road only as a temporary nightmare and then quickly erase him out of our minds forever.

the other thing that I don’t understand is the whole african american claim. Caps, bold, italics, bullets, arrows, without really being clear why some if it is one way or another. I’d pick out the main message of each bullet point and use one way of making it obvious, be it caps and/or bold and/or italics. sort of in the style of a self help or how to book.

Once Sarah Palin was formally announced as John McCains VP pick, the Obama campaign started to use the “politics of fear” and the “old politics of smear” they claim to not be a part of, in an attempt to discredit this fine woman. Now they are desperately throwing out their best smears in a desperate attempt to make the polls go up!
Why are they so clueless??? Voters are fed up with Obama’s meaningless rhetoric, he has nothing to offer the American people while the Republicans are offering REAL AMERICANS as candidates for REFORM and CHANGE, that have proven accomplishments to get the job done. I was hoping to find local Latino stations . I Did find an excellent resource that lists news papers , tv , radio etc. for each city , and if you scroll down , you will find the ethnic section that lists various media targeted to specific ethnic groups . I am working on New Mexico (per your info ) for tomorrow . I only hope that we have several Pumas sending the e-mails out . I’m in Houston. Ike is predicted to hit between us and Corpus right now but could change. They won’t know for sure, or as sure as they can, until Friday morning. All the areas to our south have had mostly mandatory evacuations. Our southeast Houston area had some voluntary ones that were located around Galveston Bay since there is no seawall there and it is prone to flood easily. Houston is going to get the dirty side of the storm also since we’re on the north side of it. Supposedly will be Cat 3 when it hits. Ike sucks

For those who don’t know about Gov Paterson, he was the LT Governor under Spitzer where Spitzer had to step down after getting caught for a sex scandal. Paterson had to fill the empty slot. His honeymoon is now over and he is now getting some tough criticism for his how he is currently doing. To give him the benefit of doubt he did walk into a fiscal crisis that is riddling the state right now and does dare to make tough choices.

A lot of South Asians historically vote blindly for the DEM ticket purely for immigration or any 1 specific issue (like foreign policy to Pakistan or India or Indonesia). Not sure if there are enough South Asian PUMA’s here but if there are they better do something to change that mentality. America let the Hillary, sexist bashing (excluding some women and PUMAs) slide b/c they thought this was some new, great change candidate and Hillary was a Clinton who thought she was “entitled” plus the Dems sat back and let it go since it benefited their little puppet. America did not catch on to this bs fraud until too late in the primary; where you see how Hillary began to dominate in the end but bought off superdelegates dragged bozo over the supposed delegate count. Then we have the convention roll call fiasco bs.
What they did NOT guess was that McCain would resort to his true maverick ways and select a female, reformer candidate that no one really knows about that compliments his maverick image, is relatable to everyday Americans, and has the charisma that he lacks. This is the reason the Dems have flipped out and gone over the edge and offended their own base along with Independents. Their sexist bs has been exposed for real now. They have lost the election over it. McCain kicked their asses despite all their planning and they are beyond pissed! They can’t stop their idiotic rants and attacks. They’ve offended women, small town Americans, and Independents. They also didn’t count on the effect of PUMAs! Add that to bozo’s no experience and scary associations = Democrat defeat in the year they should have a landslide victory.
A bozo defeat will ensure a shake up in the corrupt Democratic party and we will take it back to the people where it belongs. I’m just hoping that Hillary can run and will run in 2012 and that is why she is putting on this charade of supporting bozo. Just my 2 cents.

My elder daughter deicded at about 17 to disagree with me and her father on everything. She rejected all she had been and done previous, dropped out of school her freshman year of college (blowing a fantastic scholarship) and moved to another state. After some time, she called me and said “Mom, you are right about just about everything.” I almost had a heart attack.
She is now a nurse, has a 4 year old daughter of her own, and is very politically active in almost every thing I am.
She told me once that she didn’t understand that things could get bad under a different president. She thought how Bill Clinton ran things was how things were always done. If it is any consolation to you, NOT ALL of the kids of that generation bought the denigration of Hillary and of women. My 27 year old daughter didn’t, and my 21 year old didn’t either. I also have a number of nieces who didn’t. But we have all talked and talked and talked. All of us ‘older’ women have discussed with these girls/women, one on one, the things our generation have endured, and the things our mothers and grandmothers had to put up with.
My youngest is a history major, and she really has absorbed the importance of these discussions. Keep the faith, you child is listening.

All of these sudden changes in voting laws are worrying me. I’ve heard the same from several people now on this blog. Maybe it’s something we need to monitor?

I think Biden is truly a good man at heart. I do think he’s afraid of debating Palin. He does know bozo is not good for America as he said time and time again in the debates that bozo is not ready to lead us. That’s why I find it puzzling that he accepted the VP spot but I guess he just assumed position behind the Dem platform hoping he could help this country in some way. However, bozo will try to destroy it and I don’t blame him at all……I’d be drinking too.

I lost my mother two years ago and have bad days alot. Hillary’s loss hit me hard because my mother loved her, it was like lossing her all over again. Boy I am sad tonight. The media, commentators don’t get that we are real people, with real hopes and dreams and love for our party. This thing is making me sick. I can’t believe the DNC screwed this up so badly.

Biden’s comments today about Hillary being the better choice are driving a ton of speculation about Obama swapping Biden for Hillary on the ticket.
Now, I give Hillary a lot more credit than that, since there is nothing but downside for her. If Obama wins, she is locked out until 2016 and will likely be facing an electorate shifting away from Democrats. Even if there is some deal cut that limits Obama to one term, Obama isn’t exactly a man of his word when it comes to promises made to those in his own party (Alice Palmer).
If Obama loses with her on the ticket, she is all but done as a national candidate in the future. The track record for the number ones on the ticket (Gore, Kerry) has not been exactly good for future runs, and being the number 2 on a losing ticket (Edwards, Leiberman) kind of puts you even further back.
And regardless of winning or losing, people are going to look very closely at what Obama ponied up in return – how much of her campaign debt did he promise to eat?
Obama’s judgment will be front and center, expecially after the criticism aimes at McCain for “blowing” his first major decision of a candidate in picking a VP. Plus, it will look like a major act of desperation, and reinforce the knock that Obama would do anything just to get elected.
It will also make Hill look bad, like she either forced Biden off the ticket or was willing to compromise her values to get onto the ticket. And it will send the message that sexism is fair game in the US.
I just don’t see any upside for Hillary at all, and would be very disappointed if she made that move.

For all the reasons you cite, I think Hillary turned him down, or made it clear before he asked, probably in the meeting they had after the primaries, that she would not accept VP.
There was some local discussion here in Indiana that Evan Byah also turned him down. This was a news story on a local channel.
I hope this is the case, and that there were others. Biden knows they are losing, and I think he is OK with that. He is playing the game, as all of them are, but he is very aware that this mess is going nowhere.

Is anyone watching Palin on CNN? Like I told the reporter that interviewed me this morning, I don’t agree with her politically, but I identify with her on so many levels. I even like her enough that she could be my neighbor.

I ended watching thinking, if I have to, I could vote for these people. It would make it more difficult if they were falling for the mode of trashing the Democrats. 8 weeks is a long time and God knows, anything could happen.
One question I was thinking when they were talking about abortion…the interview of her was in the past, did you get the impression that she would always choose life over abortion, but I didn’t get a strong sense that she would push it on her agenda. Did you get another impression?

My father is a WWII era veteran. He was not wounded, and the war ended before he saw combat, however, he has many friends who did see combat. The fact that my dad, as a 17 year old was willing to join the Marine Corps and to lay down his life for his country is significant to me and my siblings. I REALLY hope all this hype about Hillary replacing Biden is nothing more than that — hype.
Biden would have to have a good reason to drop out to protect Obama’s poor decision in choosing him in the first place. If Obama chose Hillary to replace him, it would be too transparent (choosing a woman who he dissed for months on end) for the public…I sure hope so anyway!
Hillary would be a fool to accept the VP position now if it were offered to her. Second place behind a losing candidate is NOT what she wants on her resume. By staying in the background, she gives strength to her next bid for the presidency. Obama is a loser, backed by the “selection” with Dean, Brazile, et. al. at the helm. Hillary needs to be rid of them at the DNC for her next bid, and Obama’s loss in November is the key to their ouster.
Suppose Hillary did accept a VP position now — the Republicans will only use her talking points during the primary against Obama, where she praises McCain and criticizes Obama. I still think the Republicans strategy has been brilliant. The Dems are painted into a corner big time.
To me, it is clear that they cannot use Hillary in this election, but maybe I place to much faith in the electorate — I do think they see through the smoke and mirrors.

I agree on Palin. She will not impose her personal beliefs on Americans. You can hold me to it regarding abortion and religion. I have to hand it to the Republicans this year. They put up their most moderate Repub this year and the Dems put up their most liberal, inexperienced candidate. The Dems should have won in a landslide. Uh wrong. Although we and Hillary were screwed over, we lucked out in that the Repubs put up their least Repub candidate, if you get what I’m saying. After the Bush era, they had to or they would lose even if the Dems put up Big Bird. Then I believe McCain really is Maverick on some levels so he added Palin, case closed. The DNC leadership looks like the corrupt morons they truly are. Good riddance.

However, Monday I read a small blurb about ZERO meeting with Bill in New York. DID NOT LIKE THIS ONE BIT. Then the Biden comment and now the comment about Bill stumping for him. I do NOT like this not one bit. I am sick about it.

Don’t feel sad, there are 18 million of us that feel the same way that you do. That is why this election has evolved American’s of all ages. Everyone has someone in this race they can finally identify with. For me, it’s usually a choice of one white guy against another bla, bla white guy. Watched the two sling mud at each other for a few month and voted for the one I could tolerate.
This time is different, we have an older white guy that isn’t liked much by his own party but is a war hero, a minority white/black man that plays the rockstar with an unraveling ego, and at some point we had our wonderful hero Hillary, and a young white Rep woman that stirs up similar feelings for the right wing. On top of all these major players the old feelings of sexism have awoken the sleeping giant, Woman’s Rights.
We are normally able to disconnect from a Presidential election for the most part, unless there are hanging chads, butterfly ballots or the ending of an election by the Supremes…but this time, the drama is about the characters running in this election.
On top of that, we ride the rollercoaster with Hillary all the way to her running into a brick wall of corrucption and the betrayal of our party.
—— Wow wouldn’t be exausted and freaked out about all this? The only good thing we have in this American play is that we are watching it all unfold, at least we are not the players getting kicked around like a soccer ball in a snow storm.
——Take a deep breath, lay your PUMA head down and get some good sleep. We are on this roller coaster ride together, 8 weeks seems so long after all that has happened, but we are taking an active roll as a group this time, and we are finally being heard. Feel good that we are more than one lonely, stolen vote.

Polls or no polls, the one thing the Obama Scum Bags are not counting on is our votes…. I don’t agree with all of McCain/Palin’s thoughts of Gov. But I do trust both of them to listen and take into account my wants and needs…. Obama is in it for his own, he thinks all that he thinks must be right and that he is never wrong (just like Bush 2). So my vote goes to McPalin with open heartedness….

I was listening to Rev. Al Sharpton’s commentary on the Tom Joyner Morning Show today and the words to the old gospel song; “Must Jesus Bear The Cross Alone” came to mind. Though, Sharpton rarely inspires me, when he’s right, well… he’s right.
Rev. Sharpton talked about the black community’s responsibility to work to ensure Barack Obama is elected on Nov. 4th. “It’s not a time for watching from the sideline”, he said. I agree. It’s easy for many of us to see it as a one-man mission but it’s not. If Sen. Obama becomes president it won’t solve all of Black America’s problems but it would be the most significant advancement of our cause since Pres. Truman integrated the military.
Many have gone to great lengths to say this election is not about race. Again, I concur. However, at its core Obama’s candidacy is the embodiment of the hard-work, dreams and aspirations of a long oppressed people who have fought harder than any, both at home and abroad, to make America the land of freedom and justice for all. Much blood, sweat and many tears were shed to provide him with this opportunity. If one from our legacy ascends to the pinnacle of power in a government that was once the source of our degradation, it’s a victory for us all. Therefore, all like-minded blacks are obligated to help him succeed.
Sarah Palin’s nomination has given the McCain campaign a lead in the polls. Many polls have white voters closely divided between McCain and Obama. My prediction is that it will remain that way right up until Election Day. Which means, an unusually large turnout from the African American community could offset the increased support among white women provided by Palin and tilt a close election in Obama’s direction. But the turnout has to be huge, possibly 20% to 30% higher than it’s ever been.
Large numbers of blacks have registered to vote during the primaries but millions remain unregistered. For instance, among the 219,000 convicted felons who recently had their rights restored by the State of Florida, a little more 9,000 have registered to vote. Many of those yet to register are African American. This population alone could be the difference in Obama winning or losing in Florida.
Through out our communities, in nursing homes and churches; on college campuses and on the corner; down the street, next door and in our homes, there are black people that are not registered to vote. The deadline for registration is Oct. 4th. Between now and then it’s every black Obama supporter’s duty to make sure as many of them as possible are registered and at the polls on Election Day. We must not let Barack Obama bear this cross alone!

I just have a gut feeling, one of Obama’s wolves will find something in Alaska at the last second and then him and his DNC buddies will hammer it to the public just in time to win. If he cheated during the primaries, he’s going to cheat in the general election. I just know it.

That is wrong on so many levels. I’m not surprised though, Sharpton has always been a racist. It’s so sad that black people are buying into the myth that Barack Obama is one of them. He is not. His ancestors were not slaves and he did not live through the oppression in this country. Instead, he lived as privileged upbringing far removed from the racial strife of the 60s and 70s. If anything, history points to the very real possibility that his ancestors were Arab slave owners in Africa.
Oh well, I guess I get why 11 percent of the population would like to have someone in charge who they believe is one of them. Problem is, he’s not. He’s a Chicago elitist that could care less about anything but himself.

A lot of guys are saying the pig story has been overblown, and they make some good points… but they are missing something big.
For starters, any woman who has had a sister, daughter, or friend called that epitaph will have a much more emotionally powerful reaction to the word than most men will grasp. And, while Senator Obama can say he was not intending to direct the comment towards Governor Palin, the reaction of the crowd tells anyone who is not socially tone deaf that the Senator was indulging in a bit of mischief. Of course, politics often gets far more nasty than this. There is, however, a second shoe to consider.
Obama’s answer to his short resume has been to claim great judgment and to promise to change ugly politics and government. This bit of mischief appears small to some, but in the Trent Lott era of political correctness it was also both petty and stupid. This incident undermines his twin pillars of judgment and change. But wait, it gets worse.
Since Palin’s introduction, Obama’s campaign has had a huge problem. By picking Biden over Hillary, Obama’s only executive decision since choosing which college to attend was, in addition to being an anti-change good ol boy, both petty and stupid.
Because the lipstick kafuffle revolves around Palin, it reminds everyone that Hillary was the right choice but Obama fumbled because of a grudge. Bottom line: Lipstick re-enforces the consequences of the Biden mistake.
If Senator Obama’s judgment is this bad at 3 PM, do we really want to find out what he might do at 3 AM?
Just listened to the 09/10 radio show and love the idea to invite an Obama campaign rep/DNC to speak to PUMAs!
I think they actually might accept an invite, given Allred was on… meaning, the Obama elitists’ would see the PUMAs treated her with respect (even in disagreement)… so *maybe* they wouldn’t be so skeered to face us. Meh, maybe.

Isn’t it true, in almost every major religion the concept of Forgiveness is paramount! Get with it, people, and while we’re at it try to let go of judgment, too.
That brings me around to another topic, I never thought I’d say this (cause I still believe Hillary will land in the number #1 spot somehow), but if Hillary did choose a VP slot, I say, let her do it.
Think about it people, the Republican candidates can run one, two, three times. But can anyone name any Democrats who run more than once & actually WIN??!! It’s really not that common! Democratic candidates usually it’s a “now or never” type thing, our party has a history of looking for “new & shiny” every time (like O).
And also don’t judge Hillary & Bill every chance you get. They have FAR more experience at the helm, and know far more about what has gone on, and what is possible to take place in this election, than I’m sure any of us could guess at. And you best believe they are aware of PUMA and appreciate all we do.

My parents from Houston was suppose to give me writings of Nobama in Vietnamese. They were also going to give me contacts so that I could speak to them directly. Biden, having assured the American public on a YouTube that went viral that Hillary is perfectly ready to be president and would more than likely make a better vice president than him suddenly admits to being an a alcoholic and checks into rehab.
Meanwhile, the DNC has been served the Berg lawsuit papers and are trying to get some strait answers from Obama who keeps stalling them about his birth certificate.
Smelling a stinky fish, the DNC panics and meets with Bill and Hillary. Grovelling at their feet, they swear total allegiance if only Hillary will temporarily accept the VP position. Hillary accepts with the caveat that she can feed Dean’s testicles to her dog with a nice chianti and some fava beans if anything goes wrong.
Hillary is announced as the VP nominee to replace Biden and just three days later, Patrick Fitzgerald indicts Obama on corruption charges linked with the Tony Rezko conviction. Days later, he is indicted on election fraud and federal immigration charges.
Hillary is automatically elevated to the presidential nominee position and begins the vetting process for a Vice Presidential running mate.
Almost immediately, Gallup polls show Sen Clinton running 12 points ahead of John McCain while Rasmussen shows and even larger gap of 18 points. against the Republican nominee.

Hello Pumas, I was’nt going to blog tonight…just reading….I’m very tired…but for a good reason.
I went to the McCain/Palin Rally today in Fairfax, VA and I have to say as a lifelong Dem [ now Independent] I was surprised that I had such a wonderful time.
I wore my puma orange including an orange hat and I had my Hillary Supporter for McCain/Palin sign complete with paper puma fur border and puma paws. It was an eyecatcher.
Everyone parked their cars at a Fair City Mall and shuttle buses were provided to take us to the park where the rally was held.
Everyone was very nice to me and gave a special cheer for me on the bus and took photos of me with my Hillary sign. They asked a lot of questions and we talked a lot about the primaries As for the GE..I told them as a Puma I would be voting NoObama on top and Dem on the downticket. I told them as a personal choice I would be voting for McCain/Palin and many others would be doing the same but not all. That brought about another loud cheer!
We were told that there was a croud of Obama supporters across the street from the entrance to park and we had to pass by them…we were asked not to respond to them. One of the larger sized men on the bus told me not to worry …they would protect me….two other men agreed….and he went on to say…they would have to come thru them to get to me. I told them that I was very grateful…but happily it did’nt come to that.
I have to say…that once I was spotted by the protesters…it caused quite a stir….they started spewing things about hillary over the megaphone, abortion rights…how Hillary is supporting Obie ….and yes one called me a Hillary hag.
Once inside…I was told…they were sorry but they could’nt allow signs to be carried in because if they alowwed mine then they would have to allow the protesters sign….but she said if I wanted to I could place it at the entrance so everyone could see it as they came in…she said it would make a lot of people happy…so i did and people were taking pics of it as left to go thru security.
It was wonderful inside the park….a sea of people…I thought I heard some say they were expecting 12,000 but I’m not sure what the actual count was….but there was a lot of people there!!! All chanting SARAH !! SARAH !!!

I understand what you are saying about the balance of power, but I am just disgusted by the stupidity, deception and corruption of the Democratic Party. I was a lifelong Democrat, now I cannot be a part of it any longer. I am doing one heck of a protest vote. The other reason I may be Puma pounded is that the longer this race goes on, the more I really like John McCain. To be truthful, my vote for him will be in earnest, not in protest.
And after reading virtually every post on this thread (it took forever!) I agree with Lara and Sunny PA. I think Biden’s supportive words of Hillary Clinton was just a sham attempt at rallying around a member of the party. I saw the REAL thing during the Republican Convention. Biden’s effort was too little, too late and tiresomely transparent.

I totally understand your feeling.
When compared to Obama, McCain who was handicaped right from the start in this race, so far has shown he is unqestionably the better candidate with better judgements. He out waited Obama on everything including the VP pick, and he can think outside of the box. Picking Palin as VP is a good example.
I cannot yet think of one thing that Obama did that
reflected good judgement.
I am not promoting McCain here, but he is our only path to defeat precious at this time.

I AM SUPPORTING JOHN McCAIN AND SARAH PALIN, and here’s why.
On November 4th, Election Day, I will join millions of fellow Americans in “splitting” my vote. For President and Vice President, I will be voting for John McCain, and Sarah Palin. For congressional contests, both at the national level, and the state level, I will be voting for the Democratic Party nominee.
I am a strong supporter of the principles of the Democratic Party. We must continue to build up the strength of the Democratic majority in both the U.S. Senate, and House of Representatives.
Through this entire Presidential primary campaign journey, I was an avid supporter of Hillary Clinton. I felt she was the best qualified to be our next President. I was writing excellent material (as a volunteer) with excellent specifics, and with great success I will add in support of her candidacy for both on-line media, and print media all over the country, in whatever state was next to vote.
We came “close”. But, there was a flaw in the election process in that the voters who voted in Florida and Michigan did not have their votes counted, at the time of their vote. This allowed the non-elected “super-delegates” to come out of the woodwork, and follow the swooning masses in pledging their some 350-400 votes to Barack Obama. It was a close race to begin with, and the Hillary Clinton team couldn’t overcome that.
Also this primary election season should not have been about race, but the Obama campaign brought that up, and brought that into the equation. First, was early on in South Carolina, and then just recently when Mr. Obama reminded all Americans he didn’t look like all the other presidents on the dollar bills.
In my opinion, Mr. Obama may be a likable person, probably in the same way he once referred to Hillary Clinton in public, as “she’s likable enough”.
To my immediate subject, I have excerpted the flowing specific quotes from Mr. Obama’s recent acceptance speech on August 28th before 80,000 people in the Mile High Stadium in Denver, and that included an estimated 38 million viewers on TV, as he spoke between these two large grey styrofoam columns that came from “central staging” someplace.
From the speech: (A) “I will eliminate capital gains taxes for the small businesses and the start-ups that will create the high-wage, high-tech jobs of tomorrow”. (B) “I will cut taxes for 95 percent of all working families”. (C) “I will set a clear goal as president: in 10 years, we will finally end our dependence on oil from the Middle East”. (D) “I will tap our natural gas reserves, invest in clean coal technology, and find ways to safely harness nuclear power”. (E) “I’ll help our auto companies retool, so that the fuel-efficient cars of the future are built right here in America. I’ll make it easier for the American people to afford these new cars”. (F) “And I’ll invest $150 billion over the next decade in affordable, renewable sources of energy — wind power and solar power and the next generation of biofuels; an investment that will lead to new industries and 5 million new jobs that pay well and can’t ever be outsourced”. (G) “I’ll recruit an army of new teachers, and pay them higher salaries and give them more support”. (H) “Now is the time to help families with paid sick days and better family leave”. (I) “Now is the time to finally keep the promise of affordable, accessible health care for every single American. If you have health care, my plan will lower your premiums. If you don’t, you’ll be able to get the same kind of coverage that members of Congress give themselves”. (J) “Many of these plans will cost money, which is why I’ve laid out how I’ll pay for every dime — by closing corporate loopholes and tax havens that don’t help America grow”.
Does anyone believe that Barack Obama could do all this, or even any of this? I don’t.
John McCain and Sarah Palin have real plans for real people, plans and specifics that I can believe in. They are all detailed on their website of http://www.JohnMcCain.com. On the site, start with the headings of “The Economy”, “Health Care”, “Education”, and keep going.
I’m voting for real people, people who can give me real plans – with specifics I can believe in, and don’t feel they have to deliver it with a booming hyped up oratory given between styrofoam columns before a fawning mass of 80,000 people. Just give it to me in straight talk. That’s all I need. Thank you.

I have 16 hunderd + year old pecan trees that aren’t fond of the wind , but I only worry about my big old babies out there in the pasture . They get into the barn , but I don’t it’s an old barn … Oh well , we’ll just pray and help whoever we can , right ?

Does this mean the court has accepted what Phil has files and Obama has to respond.

This is BIG TIME IMPORTANT.
What it means is that Berg case is going to go forward at full speed. The Judge is basically accepting the lawsuit and Obama is going to have to defend fully. It says that Berg is going to get full powers to force Obama to answer all questions and supply all documents he might ask for. DISCOVERY means Berg can ask questions and Obama has to answer them.
They set a date which seems a bit slow for Obama to have a depostion is Sept 31. At that time he will have to sit in a office with a steno person recording all words. lawyers on both sides will be present. Berg will get to ask ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS HE WANTS OF OBAMA AND OBAMA WILL HAVE TO ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS UNDER OATH. Extensive Discovery seems to mean the judge will allow wide latitude on questions.
this can be a major set back for obama.
The expidited discovery means the judge is not going to allow lots of delays. Obama will have to do things or he is in trouble. He has to bring his birth certificate.
NOW MOST IMPORTANT THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE IS VERY DIFFERENT FROM A CERTIFICATE OF BIRTH WHICH OBAMA HAS TRIED TO PAWN OFF. NO WONDER OBAMA IS ATTACKING PALIN. HE IS RATTLED.
OMG he has to bring a certified copy of his oath of allegiance which I am sure he never did. Obama might be dumped by the judge. this is incredible. this is huge. Obama had better have things or the judge will dump him from being president. Obama has big big problem now.
