10. Make friends with the Dixie Chicks.
9. Stop talking about basketball. Your opponent, Sarah Palin, is a foot shorter than you — who cares if you can beat her at Horse?
8. Get caught shirtless by the cameras — women may swoon. Or, more likely, they’ll grab you a sweater.
7. Shoot a moose. Or, if the rifle is just too darn heavy, eat a mooseburger. Don’t wash it down with orange juice.
6. Pretend you don’t really know Ludacris, that maybe he’s a friend of Bill Ayers or Rev. Wright or something like that.
5. Tell the press corps tomorrow morning that you LOVE campaigning; that you feel ENERGIZED and BLESSED each and every day that you are on the Trail meeting real, live Americans in their homes and small towns. Keep a straight face while doing this.
4. Start telling heart-warming stories about your enduring love for your mother, sister, and grandmother. Try to sound sincere.
3. Start dying your hair brown again.
2. Stop making it seem like you enjoy Michelle’s alpha-male status in your marriage. That sounded sexist. Scratch that. Try this — STOP WHINING! Women HATE whining.
1. Start wearing pant-suits.
We are raising money for mailing and canvassing in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Please consider making a contribution to Puma PAC today. Our goal is $25,000 between now and October 1st (yep, time is running out). Help Puma PAC keep Obama out of the White House HERE, and THANK you!

Obama doesn’t look good in a pantsuit!! He doesn’t look good politically either.
What can anyone do when the DNC and media are getting more and more vicious? The media will do anything to get Obama elected. No one is more dangerous to this country than Obama and Pelosi, duh, and the media. Why isn’t Biden being investigated by the media? He has less than a stiller past. His voting record less than impressive. Where was the media when Biden was selected as VP. Why all the hate for strong women, where are the Republican women and why aren’t they helping Sara? This media and DNC hate for strong women must be stopped.
OMG this is the funniest yet. ROFL – I LOVE THIS!

Majority of independents now prefer McCain over Obama, 52% to 37%
September 9, 2008John McCain’s bounce in voter support spanning the Republican National Convention is largely explained by political independents, who are shifting to him in fairly big numbers, from 40% pre-convention to 52% post-convention
TexasTigress – I’m going to email her a pretty good ones – Chicagoans Against Obama – and the author of the page will email her – I believe he lives “in” Chicago!!

Murphy, that was the best graphic yet. I was just scrolling slowly and whammo! I almost croaked!!
Good Morning! ROFLMAO- great list Murphy!
McCain had a record breaking fundraiser in Chicago last night- it was on all the local channels…….he is stealing the headlines in obiteme’s own backyard…..the tide is certainly turning! In obamas last campaign stop….he said “McCain is trying to re invent himself as an agent of change” You cant just re invent yourself….come on now” His voice rose about 10 octaves…sounded like Dean when he said “yeahhhhhhhh” it was funny as hell.
I also expecially liked how Chuch Todd last night moved Pennsylvania from a toss-up to soldily blue, stating that not a single poll has shown less than a 5 point advantage.
About an hour earlier, Rasmussen released their polling data with a 2 point Obama advantage.
Go figure, I’m guessing they move Alaska to the Obama column next.
Anyone else notice the media is FREAKING out with the new poll numbers released yesterday. I’m sitting here drinking my morning coffee and reading online articles and it’s amazing how the press is in full gear attacking the McCain/Palin ticket. First count how many negative artilces about either McCain or Palin, then count how many artilcles of advice to Obama on what he needs to do to win. No negative articles about Obama himself, just that he’s not doing enough to stop the McCain/Palin ticket. HEY MEDIA TYPES…you wouldn’t be losing if Hillary was the nominee. Can we say..I TOLD YOU SO!
Thanks Gypsy that will be great!
I can’t believe these two are both in ohio and i have no idea where either of these places are I have never heard of either of these cities.

Kasota,
Yes! big Time, I have seen CNN twice this morning state that polls indicate Clinton Supporters are not switching loyalties. I’m not quite sure which polls their viewing, maybe olbermann and matthews put out their own polling data.
The site has had over 400 visitors and Im still only half done!
Dear pumas,
From a friend of a friend in Anchorage, AK I send you his testimony of yet another feather in MS. Palin’s political hat of excellent governing abilities.
———————————————————-
One of our State’s major problems is that its Capital is in Juneau, 500 miles from the nearest road and 800 air miles from the population base which is Anchorage, Wasilla and Fairbanks. Our legislature and most of the State government is in Juneau and they ALL behave like a bunch of freshmen in a college town. It has been this way since Statehood in 1959. When Sarah moved to Juneau, so did accountability and responsibility.
When the oil revenue started to flow and a barrel of North Slope Crude hit $23.00, these people began spending money like drunken sailors. You can only imagine what was happening when oil hit $100.00 a barrel, about the time Sarah took command.
My wife Kathy has first-hand experience with this fiasco, as her father and also her ex-husband were Alaska Legislators who served in Juneau as Senators, Senate President, or members of the State House for a combined period spanning nearly three decades.
About the time Sarah took the HELM as Governor of Alaska, about half of the State legislature was in the pocket of big oil companies or contractors doing big projects for Native Corporations around Alaska, all funded by State oil revenue. Alaska government was nothing but a good old boys club riding the perpetual wave of prosperity. This filtered down from the legislature, through the Department of Natural Resources, Department of Labor and even spilled in to the Public Safety who are supposed to “”preserve and protect”".
When Sarah walked into the Governor’s Mansion, she promptly dismissed the State Trooper detachment assigned to the Governor and had her and her husband’s gun case brought in from Wasilla. Then, she got rid of the former Governor’s STATE Jet and told legislators that there were no more free rides, they would have to fly Alaska Airlines, just like her and her family if they wanted to travel.
Next came the nut cutting (the Barracuda part) the heads that rolled were too numerous to name, but when Sarah finished cleaning house, a number of our legislators ended up in jail for on corruption charges, or tendered their resignations along with numerous department heads and those who have been riding the gravy train for way too long, AND THEN SHE HAD LUNCH. By the end of the day, Sarah Palin had saved the people of Alaska millions and has not yet slowed down.
She has truly brought CHANGE to Juneau. I personally know several persons in the private sector in Alaska, who hold her in high esteem. She surrounds herself with smart people (many from my hometown of Anchorage), she listens to them but makes her own decisions. Sarah Palin is a no B.S. politician. It is refreshing that there is such a thing anymore.
You want to talk about CHANGE? You should see a before and after picture of the State government in Alaska. That’s CHANGE! Sarah will bring a number of things to the election. I am sure she will appeal many voters who might otherwise have gone the other direction on election day. The conservative block will not be for Barack. We have their vote. We need what Sarah will bring, first to the election and second, what she will bring to Washington D.C.
McCain has been advised well. Let’s just hope the American people can get the straight scoop on her in the weeks ahead. This is just the opinion of one Alaska Bush Pilot and Guide, who pays attention to national politics, watches the news and is deathly afraid of the direction our nation is headed. I guarantee that if Sarah gets a chance to dig her spurs into the flanks of the liberal Washington types, they will know that she is in the saddle.
20 Caracal Carrie It’s coming from my aol email so don’t put it in Spam!!
Oh SNAP! Democrats are dropping FAST! This poll was at +10 not long ago. Now +5, ouch!

NEW JERSEY POLL
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) _ A new poll shows Sen. John McCain gaining ground but still trailing his Democratic rival in the presidential race in New Jersey.
A Fairleigh Dickinson-PublicMind poll out Tuesday shows Sen. Barack Obama apparently leading by 6 points in New Jersey, 47-41 percent. That’s down from the 16-point lead Obama enjoyed here in an FDU poll taken in June.

Morning PUMAs!
Good morning Huong!
Too funny Murphy!
Why is it Obama is comparing himself to Sarah Palin? Since when does a presidential candidate compare himself to a VP?
Obama poll numbers must be a no no for discussion between him and Michelle at the breakfast table.. I mean, how many times is he going to take hearing “eat your Wheaties” before he totally cracks-up?
Huong-Hi
You must be Vietnamese.
The “nothing on top” jargon confuses people. It implies that PUMAS will just leave the space blank.
The only thing that can stop Obama now is McCain. Write-ins aren’t even possible in many states. Third party candidates are excluded from the ballot in many states.
For me, it is McCain/Palin all the way. I don’t understand why more PUMAS don’t get this.
The two parties have a monopoly. Failure to recognize this could elect Obama.
I can just see trying to do a write-in in my state. ” I want to do a write-in. Whuuut? Hey Joe, do we have any write-in ballots? Joe gets on his cell phone. At the other end, whuuut? A write-in. Whuut?” An hour later, they might dig up some sort of alternative ballot. Will it be counted? Probably not.
PUMAS need to fully get behind McCain/Palin if we are really serious about wanting Obama to lose. If we are not serious, then what is the point?
END IT SENATOR CLINTON OR IT WILL BE THE END OF YOU……………………
Very nauseating to watch and to listen to Senator Clinton
speaking in Florida on behalf of Obama; An arrogant,
devious,treacherous,untrustworthy and useless Politician
Unfortunately every Democratic voter, Hillary recovers back to the fold, she puts another nail in her own coffin.
The more she helps him get elected, the more she destroys her own future as a Presidential candidate.
She will succeed in 2012, if he is defeated, not saved !!!
This will probably be last chance. She has opened the White House door for women and there will probably be
a plethora of female Challengers from 2016 onwards.
Also this corrupt DNC with an increase in the Senate and congress are quite capable of introducing new rules
where Obama could stay for a third term (8years to 12
years). With what has happened in 2007/2008 anything
could take place and Michelle would enjoy the White House for those extra 4 years.
If 2 terms max are part of constitutional law, I apologize
Senator Clinton has done enough on the campaign trail, more than any other “loser”
End it now……before you elect this helpless guy by your own efforts…………. Take a vacation
On reflexion, and in my humble opinion, Senator Clinton
made one major error….when she suspended her campaign, she should have announced her pending
retirement from the political scene…..she should have left Washington, even going to work for the United Nations or a charitable cause and left the DNC and Obama to work it out for themselves.
After the Presidential race had been completed she could have had second thoughts about relinquishing her seat in the Senate.
The American Fuehrer is using and abusing Senator Clinton presently and if Obama wins, he will discard her as has done in the past with regard to the V.P.post.
Both Michelle and her husband hate her and I would not be surprised that they will want to get her out of politics at the first opportunity.
It will not be apparent, more likely by stealth, starting to possibly bribe and influence her harlem base and
encourage a strong candidate to run against her for her New York seat……It is inevitable that her seat will no longer be as secure as in the past with these corrupt and fanatical Democrats around.
Think of yourself Hillary for a moment, this allegience to Obama will not bring you any rewards….
Good fortune, Shane, Ireland
Kim Jong Il may have had a stroke. Oh boy,…. that is news.

Ohhhh Murphy, I love the pant suit.
Can’t stop laughing.
for RodhaminFlag – the McCain folks do not have a national action site, everything is done on a local level. Seems boring and ineffective to me, but what do I know. Anyway, I’m awaiting a list of sites to be emailed to me so I can keep them informed locally.
Received another desperate request for money, money, money from the Obie folks in D.C. Guess they gotta pay for Obie’s offer to pay for folks from Utah to go to Colorado and support him. What a sleaze! Anyway this time there was no return envelope. Hmmm, must be they are running out of dough! How sad!
Remember – when a wolf in sheep’s clothing gets cornered, it gets defensive and will attack – even if it is wearing a pant suit.
Got to go to work
Love the post……..I’m not sure that is his color. Maybe a turquoise scarf would help.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows the race for the White House is tied once again. John McCain and Barack Obama now each attract 46% of the vote. When “leaners” are included, it’s McCain 48% and Obama 48%.
Gallup Daily: McCain’s Bounce Gives Him 5-Point Lead
Leads Obama 49%-44% in first results conducted fully after GOP convention
September 8, 2008
John McCain’s support among registered voters increased six percentage points from immediately before the GOP convention to immediately after. That convention bounce leaves him with a five-point lead over Barack Obama in the latest Gallup Poll Daily tracking update, 49% to 44%.
morning all! So where is the posse today?
Fair and balanced am I.
I’m not sure, but maybe this article might make pro choicers a little less apprehensve about Ms. Palin’s political agenda regarding her stand on pro life.

I posted this earlier but as I am still reading about people leaving the top blank or writing in Hillary. I just want to relay my experience in contacted the PA officials concerning the issue. I wrote them three times asking what the states policy was on write in votes. I got no reply. I created a bogus email address and got a answer to a simple question the next day. Perhaps my question was something that had to be referred elsewhere. Or maybe state employees have a vested interest in keeping voters in the dark. I don’t know but to be on the safe side I will vote McCain and repub against anyone in PA who endorsed bambi.

HILLARY VOTERS
New poll: 25% of Hillary voters will vote for McCain
Washington Post (registration needed) ^ | 08/09/09 | Washington Post/ABC News poll, September 8, 2008
“a quarter of Hillary Clinton’s supporters are ready to vote for McCain.”
(Excerpt) Read more at washingtonpost.com …
I think the Dems and Repubs both just want the abortion issue to demagogue.
If If If Roe is overturned, a big If, that only means that the issue goes back to the states to decide.
The death penalty is a state issue. Gun laws are a state issue. Same-sex marriage is a state issue. Is there an intrinsic reason why abortion should be a federal issue and not a state issue? That is McCain’s position. And probably Palin’s.
The Democrats don’t want people to know this. They want to make it sound as though overturning Roe would make abortion illegal. It would not. It would merely return the issue to the states to decide.
There is a precedent. In the 1960s, the Supreme Court ruled the death penalty “cruel and unusual” and placed a moratorium on its use in 50 states. Later, the court reversed itself. And several states resumed the death penalty.
Massachusetts is not Texas, and vice-versa. I love both states but I live in neither. And I don’t see why we can’t let Mass be Mass and let TX be TX. And people mind their own business in their own respective states.
Good morning PUMA Family
NObama is having a problem now with campaign money, they’re already $100 short of their target. The DNC is short on cash too (lavish convention with fake ancient greek temple). Guess who is the Finance Chairman of NObama campaign, major stockholder and owner of a bank in Chicago that went under and left all depositors begging for their money!
Axelrod is saying their contributors haven’t maxed out yet ($2300), the problem these people are no longer sending money to his campaign. The biggest concern of NObama and DNC, the RNC have cash in hand over $200 million and increasing, while theirs is doing the opposite. NObama and DNC are busy sending email asking supporters to donate now to their campaign; some of their email wordings are close to a threat to their supporters which doesn’t bode well for rationally thinking democrats. Their forcing democrats to contribute campaign money, isn’t that something? Chicago thuggery in action!
McCain was in Chicago yesterday and raised $5 million in 5 hours for the RNC.
I was watching Hillary (try to stump) for Obama yesterday down in Florida…is it just me, or does she look worn out and tired. Maybe it was just the lighting or the color of her suit, heck I dont know, but somehow,
I just dont think her heart and soul are into this at all.
The only thing she said about Palin was she just added her name to..No McCain, no Palin…hmmmm
I find it disgusting myself, that Barak was so mean to her during their campainge and then says this yesterday somewhere…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Halfway through his energized speech Obama said, “I’m not going to be mean,” to which the crowd shouted back, “be mean!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
on that note, he’s saying they are stealing his “Change” theme, I have news for him he stole it from previous
folks running for President, does he think im stupid?
Gogandolf
thankyou
grew up in PA but this is my first election outside of NYC and I am ashamed to say the first time I have ever examined a candidate beyond the party. I am sure these machinations have been employed before but the info was just not available. I find it kind of funny that Dean was the first to use the internet as a campaign tool and the DNC thought they had a monopoly. Talk about a backfire. Bambi may have been able to slide through if it were not for the thing that created him. Who’d of thought people over 35 would become such active on line participants. Obviously not the DNC. Anywho thankyou all. I check in here at least once a day and always find info worth repeating. 1200 posts however is a little exhausting. I love the site and appreciate all that is done, but sometimes I just want the grit. Again you guys/ladies rock.
I copied the following from the HILLARY VILLAGE. I hope no one minds the length.
The Hail Mary: A Play in One Ironic Act

(H/t, LadyBoomerNYC, who very kindly gave me the inspiration for this one.)
THE SCENE: BILL and HILLARY CLINTON’S bedroom at 3:00 a.m. It’s warm, welcoming and done in classic American Country style. Photos of friends and family cover every surface, and their various awards and commendations hang on the walls. BILL and HILLARY are asleep in bed. Both are wearing her black t-shirt with the white writing and pantsuit picture on it. Next to each CLINTON is a bedside table with a red phone on it. The phone is modern, with caller ID.
The red phone next to HILLARY’s side rings. Both CLINTONS sit up in bed immediately.
BILL: Yours, or mine?
HILLARY: Mine. (checks the caller ID) Oh, well well well. It’s DNC Headquarters in Chicago.
BILL (grinning devilishly): Heh. I’ve been waiting for this one. Put it on speaker, honey.
(HILLARY picks up the phone and hits the speaker button.)
HILLARY: Hello?
BARACK OBAMA (on the phone): Hey there, Hillary. Sorry to call you so late, but I’ve had a really hard time getting you on your cell lately.
HILLARY (rolling her eyes at Bill): Uh-huh. Gosh, sorry about that, Barack, but I’ve been busy trying to stop President Bush’s latest outrageous blow against contraception and choice. I figured since you didn’t pick me for Vice President, and I’ve already said my piece about Sarah Palin, our business together was concluded until after the election.
BARACK (uncomfortably): Well, um, uh, see, I think I, uh, still need your help.
HILLARY (leaning back into her pillow, starting to enjoy herself): Oh, really?
BARACK (even more uncomfortably): Yeah. Uh, see, it looks like Palin’s not the cream puff I thought she was. We went after her with everything we had for six days, and she just came out smelling like a rose. The conservative base loves her, and – and – she was MEAN to me, Hillary! (He is barely suppressing tears of frustration)
HILLARY (with malicious pleasure): All true, Barack. So, what do you want ME to do about it?
BARACK (suddenly angry): I want you to STOP HER! I want you to go out there and take that mooseburger eatin’, rifle-shootin’, baby-makin’ FEMALE DOWN!!!
(A slight pause. Then, HILLARY begins laughing. She laughs for a long time.)
HILLARY (finally calming down): Why in God’s name would I do that for you, Barack? What possible benefit would there be to me? Here’s an idea: Do it yourself. And stop calling me!
BARACK (to the others in the room): Guys, she said no. I told you she would! NOW what do I do?
PELOSI (who is there with BARACK): Don’t worry, Barack. Let ME talk to her.
BILL (chuckling): Oh, this is too good. They’re pulling out the big guns now!
PELOSI: Hillary, dear? It’s Nancy.
HILLARY: Yes, Nancy, what can I do for you?
PELOSI: Look, I understand why you would be reluctant to go after this woman. But we are prepared to offer you….compensation.
HILLARY: Oh, really? (She and BILL exchange knowing looks.)
PELOSI: Yes indeed. We see now what a horrible, horrible mistake we made picking Joe Biden instead of you for Vice President. We can remedy that any time you want, Hillary – even tomorrow, if you wish.
HILLARY: Ah. (enjoying their humiliation and prolonging it as long as possible) And Joe’s okay with this?
PELOSI (grimly): He will be, if he wants to keep being a Senator.
(HARRY REID joins the call.)
REID: Hillary, it’s Harry. I guarantee Joe’s on board.
HILLARY: Well, this is all very interesting. Let me think about it for a moment. (pauses a millisecond, looks at Bill, grinning) NO.
PELOSI: Hillary, what are you saying? You can’t desert your Party in its time of need!
HILLARY (happily): Bill, you want to explain it to them?
BILL: Absolutely. (BILL moves over to HILLARY’s side of the bed, so those on the phone can hear him more clearly) NO!!!
HILLARY (laughing): Ah, Bill, you kill me! No, seriously. Let’s lay it out for them. Here’s the problem, folks. You already made your choice. It sucked, if I may be so blunt. You should have allowed me to become the nominee and let Barack be VP. As Palin has so amply demonstrated, he is barely even qualified for that position.
BARACK: HEY!!! You guys aren’t going to let her get away with talking to me like that, are you?
PELOSI and REID: Shut up, Barack.
BILL: Yeah. And if Hillary wasn’t going to be the nominee, at LEAST she should have been Vice President. It would have been the smart thing to do, politically and emotionally. (starting to get angry and red in the face) But no, you just couldn’t do it, could you? You’re a bunch of self-serving, short-sighted idiots! Didn’t you realize how you were breaking the Party in two? Don’t you care at all about the future of our country?
(A stunned silence from the phone, while HILLARY looks at BILL with pride in her eyes.)
PELOSI (recovering, smoothly): Bill, you’re absolutely right. That’s what we’re trying to fix now. We get it, we really do. What do you say? Don’t you want to be back in the White House, as the husband of the first female Vice President?
HILLARY (patiently): Nancy, don’t you get it? IT’S TOO LATE. You’ve made your decision. If you change your mind now, it will just make Barack look even weaker and less decisive than he already does.
As for Sarah Palin, I respect her. I think she’s a strong, powerful woman. I don’t agree with her on the issues, of course, but I’m not going to stoop to sexist bullshit to try to stop her.
You’re on your own, kids. Lose this number and don’t call me till after McCain wins the election. By the way, I’m voting for him – and so is Bill. Buh-bye, now! (presses speaker button to hang up)
BILL (grinning): That was even better than I thought it would be. Great job, honey!
HILLARY (sighing and smiling): It was, wasn’t it? (looking devilishly at BILL) Now, how shall we celebrate this grand occasion?
(BILL grins even bigger and turns out the light.)
“Axelrod is saying their contributors haven’t maxed out yet ($2300)”
Ha ha ha. This shows how out-of-touch these clowns are. Who the hell has an extra 2300 to give to political campaigns? I have a good job but I am not rolling in dough as both parties seem to think.

I am not sure if you noticed but I was trying to get your attention. Just a request– maybe something could be down here or guidance given from here to those of us in swing states. Its, in my opinion, time to fight fire with fire. Jason Altmire is running for congress he is not in my district, but he is running ads emphasizing his support of the armed forces and he has taken over 20k from o/pukie. The local news will never report that. I just think we need to expend a lot of energy on educating the people in his district cause god knows the local media is still selling him as the messiah.
Goandalf,
Good morning. Do you have the delegate information for GA or can you point me to a place where I can get it?

Received another desperate request for money, money, money from the Obie folks in D.C. Guess they gotta pay for Obie’s offer to pay for folks from Utah to go to Colorado and support him. What a sleaze! Anyway this time there was no return envelope. Hmmm, must be they are running out of dough! How sad!
————————————————-
I got one too, from Dnccccccc Nancy P and the O
Well I lambasted (love that word) the fraud people, they had imitation checks 3 or 4 with the dncc and amounts to give…I crossed out their name inserted PUMA increased, the amounts and sent em back.
They did have an envelope and I stuffed all they sent back.
The back of the envelope said be sure to make checks payable to DNCC. OPSS crossed it off wrote PUMA PAC!!!!going to the mail box now…
Sending another donation, smaller than last week but only b/c another layoff hit my husbands tiny company. Oh well he needs to retire. He is the only one in the machine shop as he is a master machinist! Does it all!
He will be the last one out the door! I love bragging on him, my guy from Vermont. Found him at a party many years ago in Boston. HE was going to college and I could not resist the handsome country boy. He has been a keeper. Married a year later he 21 I 19, still get a thrill when I see him coming up the hill!
Never could stand those Dorchester BOYS!
slyt2,
Where you at? I am in Southern Ohio (Chillicothe) we need to try an gather the Ohio PUMAs to open up a can of Whoop A$$ on No Bama
Naysayers aside, The Puma PAC Nothing On Top for Obama campaign is WORKING. Our protest is a protest with legs.
Chris Bowers at Open Left points out that Obama is TRAILING congressional democrats going into November. The last Dem prez candidate to be less popular than his down ticket was MICHAEL DUKAKIS.
ahem.
(What is it with people acting like girls can’t do math?? We get it alright?! We KNOW that the strongest Protest vote against Obama is to actually vote for John McCain. we can do the math. For some Pumas, however, that is simply not gonna happen — and that is A-OKAY.
Nothing On Top for Obama means:
1. Get your tuchus to the polls on Nov. 4th and make sure to VOTE for as many downticket Dems as you can.
2. Do NOT vote for Obama at the top of the ticket.
p.s. the strongest Protest vote against Obama is a vote FOR McCain.
p.p.s. HOWEVER, in states where the outcome is very certain (the bluest blue states or the reddest red states, perhaps the strongest PUMA Protest Vote is to leave the top blank. That way the pundits will be unable to deny that the Pumas are organized, effective, and REAL. If there are 1,000,000 top-spot blank ballots in places like Tennessee or California, well . . . they’ll have Puma paw prints all over them.))
just a thought.
here’s the Bowers piece:

This is what I got:
Dear Ohioans –
As John McCain prepares to follow in George Bush’s footsteps at the Golden Lamb restaurant in Lebanon, OH tomorrow, Ohioans need not wonder what they’ll hear from the Republican nominee for president – more of the same failed Washington agenda from a politician who has supported George Bush 90% of the time.
Standing in the same spot where George Bush stood four years ago, John McCain will offer Ohioans the same glowing praise for the failed trade and economic policies that have cost Ohio more than 250,000 good-paying manufacturing jobs since 2001, the same unwavering support for the invasion of Iraq and a foreign policy that has drained resources here at home and made Americans less safe in the world, and the same empty rhetoric on energy with no record to match.
In McCain’s world, it’s as if the last four years of job losses, unemployment and pain at the pump never happened. It’s 2004 again all over again and the Republican agenda hasn’t changed a bit.
But while John McCain marches in lockstep with President Bush on every major issue, Ohioans have a choice. This election, we can choose change and a new direction for our country – a clean break with the failures of the past eight years.
Click here to donate to the Ohio Democratic Party and help us elect Barack Obama president and Democrats up and down the ticket.
Thank you for all that you do and don’t forget to support our candidates with you financial support.
Sincerely,
Doug Kelly
Executive Director
Ohio Democratic Party
this is what I sent Back:

from the bowers piece, via bostonboomer at riverdaugher:
“Now, I know that pointing out anything wrong with the Obama campaign means that I am a panicking chicken little who needs to be quarantined from the level headed political professionals, but it is hard to see these numbers and not think that there is something very wrong in the presidential campaign. Democratic presidential nominees have outperformed Democratic congressional candidates for the past four electoral cycles. Usually, they are less than 1% ahead, but this time around we are nowhere near that result”
Zack Space is in my District I wont be voting for him he is an Idot. Met him an he is totally DUMB
Well McCain is in Lebanon, OH right now and BO don’t remember the name think it starts with a W.
Sen. Barack Obama will go to southern Ohio today to propose an expansion of public school choice programs, part of an agenda that could boost his appeal to crossover and independent voters but test his relationship with teachers unions.
slyt2,
Lebanon,Ohio Isn’t far from Columbus
they kept saying on all the channels her speeches are all the same. From this one I am watching she hits some key notes. And it isn’t the same

Hi Murphy.
Good morning all.
I wouldn’t count California in “O”s camp just yet. I’ve been predicting a shift for weeks now and the Palin choice is going to send a LOT of Mexican -American women over to McCAin. I will go out on a limb and say California becomes a battle ground state inside of two weeks.
Every M-A woman I know (and I know a lot) were Hillary supporters. The Roe vs wade scare tactic is laughable in the M-A community, in fact it will most likely backfire big time.
The lgbt community seems to be lukewarm to the dems push. “O”s courting of evangelicals wasn’t a good idea.
More than a few union members I talked to are disgusted with the scare tactics their leaders are using and aren’t really sure about the dems commitment to the union cause anymore. Can’t eat your own without raising doubts.
It seems support for bobo is weakening everywhere you look in Ca.
That picture of “O” is disturbing btw . Lol.
GOGANDALF
your #45 – SHOULD BE IN ACTION CENTER
Breakdown of Delegate/elected official vote BEFORE convention and AFTER convention
That is great – how do we find it out for out states ?
Kelli
He is actually near Cincy where he won during the Primaries
Murphy – I just e-mailed you the list for Pennsylvania local news stations all across the state . I know that Penn. is VERY close in the polls right now so ….
re: #7 im4hillaryonly
I voted in the poll. Looks like the bots are there in full force.
They need some “PUMA love.”
http://jeffblack.newsvine.com/_question/2008/09/08/1841658-which-team-will-be-most-effective-in-changing-washington-politics
BTW,
Where can I find the new Action flyers and info that
we have posted in the last week please ?
Did not find new stuff in Action Center on right hand side …
I’ve got McCain on right now on fox news I will go there when they stop showing it on tv.
#88 I know I heard Bob Beckell and a couple others saying she is giving the same speech over and over again to well don’t they all and it sure beats…UH UH mmmm, well I ummmm.hold on your making me lose my place.ummmm
Good morning my PUMA family. The DNC must be desperate!! yesterday I received mail from them with a FREE BUMPER STICKER!!! they desperately want people to wear them around the country, at first I got furious, but then I decided to write PLEASE RETURN TO SENDER, and on the back of the envelope I wrote DNC NO MORE!! PROUD PUMA !
By the way, I am still laughing at Obama in pantsuits!! I just hope he won’t play basketball in pantsuits. I think he needs to wear those to get women’s and men’s votes as well!!
Thanks Murpy! Small town Ohio Kicking some Big Town BUTT!
KELLI – I worked with Drac over Labor Day weekend – used Demconwatch for those that had endorsed each candidate prior to the convention and many switching over after the last primary was finished – and politics1.com that broke down each State and who was up for re-election –
I did send 4 long emails of the informaton to Maryland Puma to put up as an action item the day after Labor Day — maybe you can ask where it went…
What gets me is the “surprise” by the media and the Obama camp that we are not supporting him.
We TOLD them repeatedly months ago. I switched to McCain soon after it became apparent who the Dem nominee was going to be. We TOLD them over and over. No Obama.
They didn’t believe us. That is the only explanation I have. It is like kids “not believing” their parents when they have already said no. No means no. There are times in life when you have to say no and mean no.
MURPHY – you did a great job voting in OHIO – would be my picks as well.
ruh-roh. time for Obama to start yelling at people to “Give me five dollars. I dont care how poor you are.”
http://www.bythefault.com/2008/09/08/obamas-fundraising-extremely-anemic/
That was a good McCain/Palin Speech
not to change the subject but Palin’s hubby is hot!
Hey slyt2, Marcy kaptur is a really great congresswoman, I am so glad she has not endorsed Nobama..whew..she has been around forever, she has been around since I have been a kid….Go Marcy…
excellent points Snowtiger. thanks. wow — imagine CA a battleground? If CA and NJ become battlegrounds the Obama Movement might as well just throw in the towel.
I esp liked this:
“Can’t eat your own without raising doubts.”
So Ohio PUMAs what are we going to do to put the brakes on NObama?
Hey Murphy:
Surprised and pleased to see “Cluck”. Thanks. Tho I am no longer a proud D. I am a proud I as of the RBC ruling.
I am also in PA. I will be out of town next week on business, but open to doing anything to help a McCain win here.

I don’t vote in MSNBC polls. I learned a long time ago media outlets don’t care whether you agree with their bias or not, just that you read what they have to say. That gives them numbers they can use to sell advertising. As far as I am concerned let the bots have MSNBC, nobody else is paying them any attention.
However I did look at the poll and some comments and one thing stuck out.
One of the commentators described “o’ as a descendant of slaves.
Has that been a selling point with the AA community? If it has been we can rip that apart.
Has anybody seen this on CNN’s web site. http://www.ireport.com/ir-topic-stories.jspa?topicId=81225
MURPHY: You are welcomed, DAWLIN (Not at all in the same universe as “Sweetie”) When a New Orleanian dubs someone DAWLIN, (and we all do, selectively after discernment of spirit, humor, and truth) it is the moral and cutural equialent of getting the KEY to the CITY, citizenship, and our HAWTS (Hearts to the rest of America) There are so many DAWLINS on this site, I could spend days, acknowledging them…I have begun to have fantasies of hordes of Dawlin Pumas coming to Mardi Gras to celebrate, after we put Obimbo down in November…Ah what a magnificent thought!
#113 ummm yea he is.
Oh crap I had to switch my laundry load did anyone hear about Biden he was going be on, he said something that made some people mad and he is sticking by what he said.
Question Murphy,
Can PUMA do a Poll on who we would Vote for this way we can actually use it as a Publicity Stool showing what PUMAs actually think about Nobama
murphy
I disagree with you . Adam is absolutely correct ! The Dems WILL lose and it IS because of the media . It was the media who never vetted this crack pot of a candidate they have tried to shove down our collective throats . It was the media who villified Sen. Clinton . It was the media’s sexist bias that influenced millions of Americans to jump on a sinking ship , and now , it’s the media who can’t find thier way out of the graves they dug , and the same media who’s egos will never let them admit that they have perpetuated the biggest scam of the people of the United States since W said iraq had WMDs !!!!! Puma’s rock , but the loss of control of our country by the Democratic party sits on the shoulders of the MEDIA .
Kelli – one of our great pumas posted this last night – these are the roll call votes by State:
http://www.demconvention.com/securing-the-nomination
yeah they said a bunch of Ohio votes went to Obama. That is bull Hillary clearly won OHIO
CNN had this iReport.com: Calling all Clinton supporters
http://www.ireport.com/ir-topic-stories.jspa?topicId=81225
California is always considered a “bellweather” state, significant still in this election as it went Big Time for Hillary in the primaries.
Need to get to work but have a re-post for today…
Re-post – PUMA’s – Action, Please!!
TOPIC: Sept 18 2008 Issue of ROLLING STONE
I like music, so I read Rolling Stone – “even though” – it is sexist beyond belief.
However, my Dear Puma’s, in the new issue we have not 1, not 2, but 3 opportunities for substantive comment!
1) Story “Top Artists Descend on Democratic Convention,” excerpt:
“84,000 delegates and fans gathered at Denver’s Invesco (rhymes w/Rezko) Field had been warmed up by Sheryl Crow, John Legend, Will a.am and Stevie Wonder (& James Taylor) – the best opening acts in convention history.”
2) Matt Taibbi’s article, “Obama on the Trail” – excerpt:
“The same stuff that sounded like hollow, invidious horseshit coming from Kerry and Gore sounds, as dispensed by Obama, like nothing less than a clarion call to collective action. And every time you feel his pitch working, you wonder: Is this some chat-room robot I’m falling in love with? Or is this an actual human being on the line, offering me an opportunity at last to fullfill my deepest desires?”
3) All this, PLUS! Big, Full-Page Ad for MSNBC. AND, Big, Full-Page Ad for “Real Time with Bill Maher.”
* * *LET ‘ER RIP!!! * * *
Send Letters to Rolling Stone may be sent to:
1290 Avenue of the Americas
New York, NY
10104
Or email your letter to: letters@rollingstone.com
Note: All their published letters are 2-4 sentences, tops.
Here’s some ideas you can copy & paste now, or just make up your own:
“Regarding Taibbi’s story on Obama, he asks if Obama is for real. Taibbi’s might ask himself, “were Obama’s racist pastors real?” Or better yet, “Are the rumors of Caucus Fraud for real?” Obama, change we can believe it. Right.”
OR
“Interesting to hear of all the rock stars and fanfare at the Democratic Convention. Maybe if all of those celebrities would throw their weight behind investigating how Chicago politics works – including caucus fraud by the Obama camp – they could be standing up for real change in America.”
Or simply,
“Get a clue, guys. Your publication is 30 years behind the times and your ads look like a young man’s Good Ol’ Boy’s club. Oh, I forgot. Most of your staff and writers are men, maybe that explains why you like Obama so much.”
THANK YOU, PUMA pac.
the loss of control of our country by the Democratic party sits on the shoulders of the MEDIA .
AND THE DNC
THEY LET IT HAPPEN
THEY COOKED THIS KETTLE OF FISH!!!
THEY BROUGHT IT TO A BOIL
THEY THREW IT ALL OVER US!!!
WE WILL NOT FORGET OR FOGIVE THE SCALDING OF HILLARY AND US!
#114 michelle47 Oh I was too, she doesn’t fall in line with nobody she really truely cares about Ohio and she wants who is best for Ohio not what is political correct. She has for sure got my vote, does anyone know what sherrod brown did as far as clinton or bo goes.
HP Boston AMEN !!!!!
HP Boston,
Not only did they throw it all over us, they tossed us out first adding insult to injury.
And I have to wonder how many of us filled the meeting rooms of local Democratic county groups, volunteering their precious time & then got treated like this.
p.s. If my local chapter is any indication, 80 percent of the volunteers are WOMEN! I try to remind people that fact whenever I can.
GOGANDALF:
I AM ONE OF THOSE”ANYONE ELSE”! I am interested in all things Ohioan. My paternal grand parents and their grandparents etc are from Ohio. Toronto, before it was Toronto, was named SLOANE’S STATION after my gt gt uncles who donated the land for the new railroad. There is at least one famous Sloane from Ohio.
John Sloane, one of my gt gt uncles, was a U.S. Representative from Ohio and later U.S. Secretary of the Treasury. He was, btw, a Republican.
I believe that with the entry of Sarah on the scene, that my brother has now stopped turning in his grave at the thought that I am considering voting Republican for the first time in my life.

#125 newpumaseohio they said BO is in riverside, ohio at some high school hitting on schools and teachers(sucking up to teachers), then they said something about Dayton Ohio (maybe he is going there next)?
I don’t know what CNN does with this I-Report but maybe we can flood it with PUMA’s and maybe they will have to respond to it. Just a thought!

Received an email from ex-partner: “Inspiration”.
It links to a women against Palin blog. A measely ten comments against Palin (they were the official talking points). In response, I sent our list of reasons to cast votes against O-blame-someone-else and the obama plagiarized logo with PUMA paw emblazoned over it.
You go, Lilibet, I love your posts and the flair that you give to this site – there were many many times that I have discussed your energy off this site.

GREAT pic and top 10 list! Have to do a hit-n-run post, long day ahead.

Whaaaaat? Who’s stretching the truth about their record? He’s getting way too desperate.
Ok Michelle47 it said Sherrod Brown didn’t endorse either all the way through primaries then after Clinton was out he endorsed BO.
Texas Tigress – all my pleasure.

Where R you? Southren Ohio (Chillicothe) Here. We need to show Nobama a goood ol fashion scarlet and Grey Buckeye Beating

I told them to “call me back if they found out he supported Clinton , but if he supported Obama I will be donating to his opponent . ” They never called back …
See – thats what I am talking about Texas Tigress – they will SOONER or LATER get the hint — good going
Hey slyt2, There is a certain someone’s campaign headquarters downtown on Superior street across from Packos..Right by the ballpark, just an FYI.
Hmmm, does the heart good to know that the far superior candidate has his headquarters on none other than the same street…SUPERIOR!!!!!!!
haha, I love today’s blog. Awesome
I’ve been scanning the net and can’t find any current polls in Ca. Everyone seems to have written Cali in as “O” territory. (snort)
I think a big surprise is on the way.
Murhpy, considering what they did to Hillary, “eating their own” is an understatement. I’ve talked to staunch democrats and the more they learn the weaker their support is for bobo. I doubt they will be voting McCain but, a low turnout from the base is looking more and more likely.
California PUMAS will turn the tide.
Cats only appear laid back, we’re just staying relaxed so we can move faster.
Carrie – LOVE the intro on the caucus fraud page on the site !

Good job , Carrie !
BO will be taking questions from reporters in about half hour, per FOX. That should be interesting.

The Palin Firestorm
By Patrick Buchanan
http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/09/09/obama-uses-first-name-to-defend-habeus-corpus-rights/
Obama Uses His First Name To Defend Habeus Corpus Rights
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — Barack Obama poked some fun at his Arabic-derived first name to explain the need for the constitutional right of prisoners to appeal their detention.
He said U.S. authorities sometimes mistakenly arrest the wrong person, confusing “Muhammad the terrorist” with “Muhammad the cab driver” or “Barack the bomb-thrower” with “Barack, the guy running for president.”
It could not be true that this guy was a professor
By November he will be in an asylum for the insecure all his stories reference himself which keep the smears about him out on the frontline. Is he saying he is Barak the bomber running for president?
Looks like Joe Biden is on a crusade of some sort:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijGoISc7vFc
Palin a “step back” for women? Funny, that is contrary to the way I raised my 2 daughters – they actually believe that they can do anything they put their minds to a and they are actually ALLOWED to think independently. I suppose old Joe is upset that some women have escaped the “kitchen.” Who’s out of touch?
#157 Gogandalf
Thanks go.
157 Gogandalf Please let alucard know that he’s missed. He was always so nice to me. Thank you.
#153 Middle age female he has always done that, does BO do that, I think not.
Now this is the second time today I have heard it is NOT the clinton supporters(woman) going to Palin. I swear they just don’t want the people watching TV to know we have any impact on anything. They are acting like we fall in line or fall of the earth. This woman just said I know it’s not the Hillary supporters going to McCain maybe it’s republican woman or should we call them the Oprah women that raced to Palin.
I have to admit the picture is freakin meowt a wittle.

OK We have the PUMAs and other Dem women, Rep Women, Indep women, Oprah’s women, then The View’s Women (they don’t want Palin yet either), the list goes on and on. This looks more like a revolution than a major movement to me!!! This is just the women – can you imagine how many men are going in the same direction?
Sink NObama, you sink moveon. PUMA will be the new powerhouse, a moderate organization of ordinary Americans after fair election, democratic process and true democracy!
Really the Palin story about her daughter’s pregnancy is a bit much, I mean really…Was it not just a few weeks ago that they had Brittany’s sister who had a baby plastered all over magazine covers..Saying ooh and ahh.
Sorry not up on my pop culture, don’t know her name.

Palin’s rise to the top in politics doesn’t come without a price
By Lynn Saternow
As I listened to the late Harry Chapin belt out “Cat’s in the Cradle” on the radio the other day, I couldn’t help but think of vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
If you don’t know the song, it’s about a father who spends a lot of time working as his son is growing up and misses most of his life. The key part of the song is: “When you comin’ home, dad?” “I don’t know when. But we’ll have a good time then, son, you know we’ll have a good time then.”
Of course the boy grows up, and when his dad is retired and wants to see him, the young man becomes too busy for his dad. The family discord had come full circle.
When the song was written in 1974, it of course referred to men. But in 2008, women have taken a much bigger role in all aspects of society. Which also means they sometimes may put aside the importance of family because of work.
We’ve heard Republicans spout off about how the Alaska governor Palin will appeal to people who believe in “family values.” Really?
You’re talking about a woman who thrust her pregnant 17-year-old daughter into potential national ridicule because of political ambitions. As if a young, pregnant girl doesn’t have enough pressure.
But on a good note, it did bring to light to a major problem of teen pregnancies on the rise and reasons for it.
I saw a psychiatrist talking on television about the problem. He said that some young girls become pregnant because they are seeking someone to love them and someone to nurture because they don’t feel that love at home.
I had to wonder if such could be partly true with Palin, who has been on a rapid-fire political climb the last few years, and with many other working mothers. Especially single moms who are forced to spend time away from their children to put food on the table.
Maybe that’s another reason we need in sex education in schools. Kids don’t get it at home. Some parents find it difficult to talk about with children or even worse, can’t find the time. Palin, who preaches abstinence, is against sex education in schools. Hey, how’s that working out?
No one believes in women’s rights more than I. Holding down jobs is a source of pride and fulfillment for women, just as it is for men. And they should have equal opportunities. But I also know that the important thing for both men and women is the ability to balance family with work.
While I hate to admit it, moms are a heckuva lot more important than dads to a family. That’s one area where men will never be equal to women. Not unless we start carrying babies for nine months inside us, that is.
Luckily, with my job I have been able to be part of most everything my sons and grandchildren do. I take greater pride in my wife, LaVon, who has served for many years as city manager of Farrell, but despite the enormity of the job, our family always comes first.
Palin is the mother of a young boy who has Down’s syndrome. Anti-abortionists make a big deal out of the fact that she chose to have the baby rather than abort. That was her choice, and in America, we all should have freedom to make choices. Abortion is one of them.
However, we also need to live up to what comes with those choices. Such babies require a lot of care. How could the vice president of the United States possibly have time to care for that baby?
I admire Sarah Palin for her abilities in rising to the top politically and it appears she has done a good job as governor of our biggest state. Her admirable rise to become a vice presidential nominee is another case of breaking the proverbial “glass ceiling” that has held women down for many years. But at what cost?
I can’t get the words out of my head: “When you comin’ home, mom?” “I don’t know when. But we’ll have a good time then, son, you know we’ll have a good time then”
This is how I responded to her….
Stop the sexism!! Many women care for their children and also hold down a full-time job! Many female senators and congresswomen have children and it works out fine. Why is there a double standard for women? I think her husband will make a fine house husband. This kind of journalism is going to backfire on the Democrats. Why is it that they had a very competent woman in Hillary Clinton and by fraudulent means nominated a candidate who is not ready to lead. If Hillary was on the ticket the Dems would not be in the predicament they are this year.

Sorry for the levity everyone. But you are doing such a good job on the serious points that you don’t need my input.
I sent this to all of the Penn. stations :
As an American and a Voter , I used to be confident that I could rely on the news media for balanced and accurate information on the candidates in order for me to make an educated decision on election day . This is obviously NOT the case any longer . As a lifelong Democrat , I have been appalled at the way the media has painted such a corrupt and inexperienced candidate in such a glowing light ! Isn’t it YOUR responsibility to REPORT on corruption and deceit in politics ? If so , then why haven’t we heard about the Philip Berg case – that was NOT dismissed BTW- against Obama ? http://www.obamacrimes.com/
Or about the massive caucus fraud in Texas and other caucus states : http://wewillnotbesilenced2008.com/video/index.htm
Or about any number of corrupt Chicago style politics that has elevated such an inexperienced DIRTY candidate to one election away from the Presidency of the UNited States ? Http://puma-facts.com/default.aspx
I implore you as an American voter to PLEASE DO YOUR JOB .
Sincerely,

Thanks again. It sure looks bleak but, I will stay out on my limb.
Two weeks.
I have faith. Not to mention my customer base which is a diverse bunch and I can say with out reservation that the support for bobo amongst Mexican Americans is paper thin. The Palin pick will send a majority of M-A women to McCAin.
I of course will be pushing a tad.
Also I noticed that the polls say McCAin has risen amongst independents. I think California has the most registered independents in the country.
We cali-pumas have our work cut out for us.
We shall see.
Thanks again Go, you are a treasure.
FOX!!!! Why do you think we need to watch BO give another speech. He needs to stop trying to convince us he knows anything—-it’s not working. He has reached the point of sounding like a whiney little boy. Probably the only person left who thinks he is intelligent is P. Diddy.

My pleasure. I know its hard to keep quiet when these “polls” get going but, the msm counts on the controversy.
I posted a few weeks back about “O” being AA. It is a touchy subject. Idk if we can make a case without opening up to charges of racism.

#200 KENDALBLUE Hey how you doing??
My neighbor just said to me
‘BO is such a hypocrite. He wants everyone to leave his wife alone, but he goes after Sarah Palin. I wonder if he has any idea how ridiculously immature that makes him look.”
The ONC demolition machine is trying to inflict damage to the MCcain-Palin ticket by portraying her as a religious fanatic. CNN and MSNBC the emissaries of the evil one have been digging into her past looking for anything to change the fate of the incredible shrinking democratic candidate.
Well I for one will not keep silent while the bashing of another woman goes on. CNN and MSNBC are desperate with all the attention Palin is getting and they call their dirty work vetting the candidate.
Hello ? When did pathetic Keith Olberman, Matthews, Wolf, Cafferty, Campbell Brown or any of the other wicked talking heads ever investigate the Great Pretender.
But, No they have to look into Palin’s closet for some skeleton in order to destroy her.
These people are not liberal media they are dangerous because they seek to impose their ideas and want to tell us how to think.
I doesn’t matter who you are voting for, this woman hating and discriminating must stop.
We should give these hypocrites a piece of our mind and let them know that if it doesn’t we shall call for a boycott of the products they announce.
slyt2 ………..hey lady. I am fine. Just been busy with my work. and needed a little break. Hope you are well.
good to see you !
Thanks Go !
Sly and KENDAL will you please prowl the media list on post 185# ??? Please

Puma PAC represents the BEST of the Dem Party:
The SEASONED citizens who remember the 60′s (and 50′s and maybe even the 40′s) and who have some actual experience-based KNOWLEDGE of how politics works and is supposed to work.
The BRAVE citizens who remember Stonewall and have worked tirelessly to make gay marriage and civil rights extended to ALL Americans. The ones who fought back with VENGEANCE against AIDS and reach out indirectly every day to lonely and isolated gay young people by making America a place where being gay is a welcome part of the cultural fabric.
The DETERMINED citizens who came to America from Asia and Africa, Eastern Europe and South/Central America with beautiful hope and a dream. The ones who work tirelessly every day for their children and never ever expect opportunity to be handed to them on a platter.
The UNYIELDING citizens who wait tables to pay state college fees and who take the bus to work. The middle-aged ones whose parents dont have adequate health care and so they build mother-in-law apartments in their basements and garages to take care of them.
The AUDACIOUS citizens who start businesses based on a simple idea, no start-up money, and their own sense of confidence and competence. The shop owners and fashion designers — the pet groomers and the taco stand owners the bloggers and activists and radio station founders.
Of the thousands of members of Puma PAC who I feel like I actually know personally, every single one of us fits into AT LEAST one of the above categories:
Pumas: Seasoned, Brave, Determined, Unyielding, and Audacious.

I am an EX democrat…they have shown little respect for me and none for Hillary. They cooked the primaries for their selection and then the convention. They are guilty of fraud. They are dead to me!!
My vote will go to PALIN she rocks and SHE WILL NEVER show disrespect to the women that have gone before her.
And Sara I am so sorry you and your family have been so vilified by the MSM and the OBAMA people, they will pay on NOVEMBER 4TH. Please do not give them the time of day. You may show them what real experienced candidates are made of….sugar and spice and everything NOT OBAMA!
He could make women pay for rape kits. That’s what Palin did and it works out pretty well for her.

In Michigan you can vote against the one BO supporter by voting 3rd party — you dont even have to make ONE downticket Repub pick.

That’s FOUR dems and ONE repub Protest vote.
Peterson was undecided. The others endorsed O, but it would be hard to recommend an all Repub slate. Especially since Obama won MN by a very hefty margin in the state’s caucus (i know it’s a caucus, but I havent heard of blatant fraud in the MN caucuses).
SO, MN is less lovable than Michigan, no offense — just a harder slate to pick.

another good one. THREE dems, One 3rd party, and ONE or 2 Repub Protest votes.

Hillary backers come to defense of Palin
Jonathan Martin
Sept. 9, 2008
Yahoo News
The leaders of a women’s political organization that launched earlier this year to support Hillary Clinton are speaking out against what they say are examples of media sexism toward Sarah Palin and urging members to tell the press corps “to back off.”
WomenCount, a group co-founded by top Hillary fundraiser Susie Tompkins Buell, posted a lengthy item on their blog decrying questions over whether Palin can, as a mother of five, juggle her family responsibilities and still be vice president.
“The very notion that Sarah Palin should not have accepted this nomination because she is a mother with demanding challenges underscores just how far we have to go,” wrote Rosemary Camposano, the group’s communications director.
She added: “It will be good for America to watch Sarah Palin on the campaign trail – bouncing from parenting to politics. That’s how most women function – multi-tasking, leaning on friends and family, and waking up each morning and doing it all again.”
The group notes, however, that they do not approve of Palin’s politics. “We cannot pretend that Governor Palin meets any standard of progressive politics or social values,” Camposano writes.
Unlike other feminist organizations which have taken up against Palin because of her conservative views, however, WomenCount says they’ll “work to stamp out sexism when we see it on the campaign trail.”
“To paraphrase the words of one blogger who said it best over the weekend: We will defend Sarah Palin against misogynist smears not because we like her or support her, but because that’s how feminism works.”
WomenCount was founded earlier this year by Buell, once the head of Esprit and now a full-time philanthropist and activist, when Clinton was urged by some to quit the race. The group pushed back against such sentiments and has since contributed to other female candidates. They’ve also yet to endorse Obama
Clinton herself took to the campaign trail in Florida yesterday on Obama’s behalf and urged voters to support the Democratic ticket. But, prompted by one spectator, she declined to take after Palin.
“You know what? I don’t think that’s what this election is about,” Clinton said at a rally in Kissimmee. “This election is about the differences between us and the Republican Party,”

well, I’m beginning to think their minds werent much to write home about to begin with.
Have to go to an appointment on being a poll worker – if anyone needs any more information on upcoming officials for the November election for their State – leave me a message and I will respond in a couple of hours – outta here…….
Let me make it loud and clear about Sarah Palin!
Alaskans say she has never once imposed her religious beliefs on their government there. Period.
Im shocked this whole religious thing has once again raised it head in the political arean, now, surly , Obama doesnt want the Rev Wright issue to come back out from under it’s rock.
Also, I find it disgusting that Barak thinks 8,000 troops is a small number…of troop withdrawals, he just cant seem to give anyone any credit at all.
i found it rather humorous that the ladies on The View, couldnt even seem to say Sarah Palin’s name yesterday
while today, the only clip they showed was a speech Palin gave at a church of graduating seniors where she did say things about praying for God’s wil. She will NOT let me repeat this, try to force her religious beliefs down anyone’s throats. Guess what, government wouldnt allow her to do that. John McCain seems to be the only candidate of all 3 that doesnt have this religious halo following him around like a perpetual shadow.

Poll:
For Obama: 0%
Against Obama: 100%
#47 henry – Yes, sadly, voting for McCain/Pallin is the ONLY way to defeat O in Pennsylvania.
#218 Murphy – I’m in Minnesota – gotta say – the only republican I absolutely won’t vote for is Norm Coleman(he is running for Senate) – I can’t stand the man and haven’t liked him since he WAS a Democrat & changed to republican to get elected mayor of St. Paul a long time ago – Tim Walz is war vet & a school teacher – 1st term – don’t know if he drank the kool aid because he’s in a tough 2nd term race – democrat in republican territory & needs funding(way southern MN) – Betty McCollum got money from Emily’s List & other women’s organizations & she endorsed O & is in St Paul district – not voting for her (even if I could) – Keith Ellison is our ‘token’ (actual Muslim) Democrat – will probably be re-elected – his district is mostly black urban Minneapolis; Colin Peterson is a kinda farmer & gets subsidies & has been in office forever – probably will win (conservative & votes with Republicans) – Jim Oberstar has been in Congress from the 8th district since I was a young woman & I’m now old – he can’t be defeated & many have tried – Iron Range area – strong democrats – don’t know if cupcake is as strong there – hoping not & that women will see through him – grew up on the Iron Range & still have friends & family there (women are not voting for precious) -
Amy Klobuchar is our other Senator & she is a kool aid drinker – not up for re election but I will remember for next election – she’s got some serious making up to do
Our caucuses were a joke – there were so many people standing in line – there weren’t enough ballots – people didn’t know or care if they were in the right wards to vote – they just voted – I was there and it was awful – when our caucus group finally convened at 9:00 PM the first item up for discussion was to end the caucus and have an open primary – it was thrown out at the State convention –
Anyway – my 2 cents worth

Is John McCain and Nobama still running for potus or is it just Sarah that the obots and socialists are ‘concerned’ with. You would think that these imbeciles would learn to leave the women alone.

People in Alaska are NOT bible thumpers; motto of Alaskans, “live and let live.” They’re very particular about separation of church and state, right to privacy and the right to bear arms. Democrats in Alaska are MODERATES, they hate extremism either from left or right; Alaskans are not churchgoers – I was one of them.
Murphy I posted my comment to Joan Walsh .
i just want to puke whenever I hear diane feinstein telling us obama is for the working people.what an absolute phony and fraud she is!!
her husband is a real scumbag billionaire businessman who makes his dirty money by taking business and jobs away from americans and outsourcing them to china.i dont see how these scumbags who feed their kids with dirty money made from stealing american jobs can show their faces in public..it’s hard to know just how many of these scumbagsare out there that are making money by outsourcing to china and india.

I went to democraticunderground but got a PUMA tummy ache. I had to turn-tale and run! I just had too much of that during the primaries to be able to tolerate it. I feel like a coward PUMA.

As I said before I respect the direction you want to go on the protest the election 08, and I right beside you.
However, if N.O.T is working, please come up with a mark o cross out device that will ensure nobody will leave blank ballots and be open to fraud.
Sorry that I’m so ademment about blank ballots, but, Haven’t we seen enough fraud and corruption already?
At this point I’m convinced that they would do anything to get him elected…
Let’s be wise and outperfom their trickery…

What is that I hear? Ah yes, more middle class blue collar voters going to McCain/Palin!
. Obama is the champion backtracker of all time. There isn’t one issue he hasn’t altered and not on principle, but for votes. He’s begun playing the sympathy card, saying he thought about joining the military after high school. He didn’t mention that in the two books he wrote about himself.
deep south..the obama campaign feels pretty cocky about winning the south i hope the south wakes up from obamamania and get enough sense in their heads to vote for mccain and palin
Nobama said he loves Michele because she shop’s at Target. So the Obots should not judge !
Well, well, it’s going to rain McCain/Palin! I just redid the Electoral Map on Real Clear Politics and they win by 292 to 246! By Nov., it will be over 300 and below 200. Just what the DNC ordered…a PUMA Victory!
NO WAY NO HOW NOBAMA…NOW OR EVER!
I will make sure my vote is marked clearly, especially here in FL!
Elizabeth Hasselbeck made this comment about Michelle Obama, she came into the view’s dressing room with a long list of things they couldnt ask her about, unlike Cindy McCain.
Joan Walsh use race card again, why she did not include 90% of blacks are supporting NObama? Another ignorance of Walsh, Palin supported the bridge to nowhere, BUT when she look at the true figure how much the actual cost of bridge construction, she rejected it – the price was doubled. It means the other jackup price goes to the pocket of some people. Governor Sarah Palin killed it right away, the money was use instead to build roads which is much needed in Alaska, a state twice the size of Texas.
I shop too at Walmart! I want value for my money especially on prescriptions.
#266…Maxgrader….where do they find the time ?
I got a letter from the DNC asking for a donation yesterday. I stuck a Nobama flyer in it that I got off the web site and mailed it. What fun!!
He is truly running scared. I live in Chicago and they just don’t know what to do here seeing their Messiah go down the tubes. I love it!
Murphy, Please give me the fax number for Alice Germond.
#272 sistermoon3 – the guy sure seems to THINK alot. Doesn’t seem to know much, do much, or be able to articulate anything much without a teleprompter. Oh, and there’s that “I pushed the wrong botton” thing. Just the guy we need as Commander in Cheif – not! We need to keep his flip flopping fingers away from THAT button.
Osaka, while I knew many who were going to vote Democrat for the first time in their lives for Hillary, I don’t personally know one person out of friends, family and co-workers who will vote for Bozo.

In November we need to remember…..
Summary
One-third of the 100 Senate seats are up for election every two years; on 4 November 2008, voters will select 34 Senators (one special election). These senators will serve a six-year term from 3 January 2009 until 2 January 2015.

I haven’t received any fundraising letters from O’s campaign or the DNC lately. Darn, guess they must have gotten tired of me sending them Fake PUMA $$$.
Maybe it has something to do with McCain’s statement about being tired of sending 700 billion dollars to countries that don’t like us very much.

#293 That crap did seem to smell like Obuma!
Barack Obama’s former pastor has been cavorting with another man’s wife, whom he romanced while she worked at a church in Dallas run by one of his disciples, according to a report in the New York Post.
Elizabeth Payne, 37, told the Post that she and Rev. Jeremiah Wright, 67, had a sexual relationship this year and that she was fired from her job when the affair was made public. Payne had been working at Friendship-West Baptist Church as a secretary to the Rev. Frederick Haynes III, a longtime Wright protege.
“I was involved with Rev. Wright, and that’s why I lost my job and why my husband divorced me,” Payne was quoted saying in Tuesday’s newspaper. She said she has filed a wrongful-dismissal claim with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
According to Payne’s estranged husband, Fred Payne, 64, Wright e-mailed Elizabeth Payne and told her he was going to leave his wife, Ramah, for her.
Wright married Ramah more than 20 years ago after he unsuccessfully provided marriage counseling for her and her former husband.
Fred Payne said members of the church, including Haynes, would not be pleased about the interracial aspect of the relationship.
“People wouldn’t be happy to know that my wife was sleeping with a black man,” he said.

#302 –Osaka…A laughed at your post…so tell us what you really think of Salon…
They truly have gone down hill. I used to read them alot. No more.
The poll of BBC is funny, those countries being polled like Australia, UK, Philippines, France and etc has tons of leftists who believes in welfare state. Other countries like India, Egypt, Turkey, UAE (United Arab Emirates) and etc has tons of Muslims in their population.
Take a look at UK, the Muslims in their country are now asking their parliament to change their laws into Sharia, in Australia, Muslims are demanding the same from their government, and FRANCE, their present PM is a Muslim. Of course these leftists and Muslims wanted NObama for President; TOO BAD! TOO SAD! They can’t vote in USA.
Also this: I don’t have links as I copied to my Word. Sorry!
SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER IN THIS HISTORIC ELECTION YEAR
As we head toward the general election, I am reaching out to members of my community regarding profound issues of concern that I hope you will take a moment to consider. I am not a Republican. I am a Democrat and have been one my entire life. In fact, I’m a rather left-leaning Democrat. However, this year history has unfolded in an extraordinary way, and that includes some things you may not be aware of. Note that all of what is stated here is established and corroborated and not the product of internet rumor or any other sort of distortion of the facts.
After winning his U.S. Senate seat, Obama stated that he would not run for President, citing lack of experience and the need to begin running the moment he had just become a Senator. What has changed between when he made that comment in 2004 and now?
Obama has scant experience for this most awesome job of President of the United States. Since when do we elect neophytes for President?
Obama has never remained in any single job or position for any length of time to actually make a contribution. Where do his convictions lie: With those he is slated to serve, or with his own personal ambitions?
Obama has no history of being a so-called “uniter”. Quite the opposite. His voting record as a state senator and in Congress reveals a pattern of digging in or not voting. He does not find common ground in order to gain consensus, unify, and get legislation passed. With no track record of doing so, how does he plan to unite this great country and a highly polarized Washington?
Obama has not sponsored a single piece of legislation during his term as a U.S. Senator. Why should this man be President if he hasn’t even made a mark as a U.S. Senator?
Obama has changed his position on numerous serious issues, including abortion, gun control, Iraq troop withdrawal, campaign financing, and FISA. In addition, this candidate of change has embraced Bush’s faith based initiatives, promising to expand them. Why should anyone trust what he says if he changes his mind so often on substantive issues?
In addition, Obama was the only Senator to vote in favor of a bill that would allow infanticide by allowing babies born alive due to failed abortions to be left to die. He was the only Senator who voted this way, and he did so three times (state and federal votes combined). Even passionately pro-choice Senators voted “no” on this bill. I am pro-choice, but wonder why would anyone in their right mind vote to allow such barbaric behavior as allowing babies born alive to be left to die?
Obama’s word cannot be trust. In addition to his flip-flopping on issues, he has a proven propensity to go back on his word or blatantly lie. In 1996 he went back on his word to Alice Palmer. In 2004 he went back on his word by telling the press and the American people he would not run for President, and then proceeded to run for President. If someone proves through countless actions that they are willing to go back on their word, how can you feel you can trust them regarding anything they say, particularly since there is so little evidence of achievement that all we have to go on is words?
Obama also has a history of affiliating himself with questionable characters, including convicted felons and terrorists. Once exposed, he either claims innocence or minimizes these relationships. He publicly stated that he was unaware of Wright making the kinds of comments and rants that we all came to be aware of, despite having sat in the pews of his church for 20 years and embracing Wright as a mentor and father figure. In addition, early on in the campaign when trying to prove to the American public that he was Christian (a point which is neither here nor there), he stated his weekly devotion to attend Sunday church services. Once Wright became a controversial issue for his campaign, Obama started to back peddle, stating that once his children were born it was hard to go to church regularly. So which is it? Every week or rarely? And what do you make of someone who takes on as a mentor and father figure the leader of a church that elevates the likes of Farrakhan to great heights by honoring him with a Lifetime Achievement Award? Surely there are countless great men and women in the black community worthy of such an honor. Is not the selection of Farrakhan a telling and important piece of information?
When asked about his relationship with Rashid Khalidi, Obama brushed it off as one simply based on the coincidence of them both teaching at Columbia and having children who attend the same school, when in truth, he and Khalidi have scratched each others backs in mutually beneficial ways over the years. How can you trust someone who consciously minimizes a relationship with a former terrorist who was affiliated with the PLO and what do you make of someone having such associations?
Obama claimed innocence about Tony Rezko while receiving large sums of money to support his campaigns and became entangled with him personally over his home and land purchase. Why should you put stock in Obama’s claims to care about Americans when he ignored so many impoverished families living in sub-standard housing in his Illinois congressional district and, to add insult to injury, was in the pocket of the slumlord of those building?
Obama has a history of developing relationships with individuals who express through their words and actions profoundly anti-American sentiments, including Bill Ayers, a terrorist who built bombs that killed fellow Americans and who, to this day, remains unrepentant. Why should anyone have a shot at becoming the President who has someone like Bill Ayers as part of their history?
Obama routinely expresses a confused understanding of history, including his own personal history, noting that he is the product of the march on Selma, despite the fact that he was born four years prior to the march. Why would you accept a candidate who is so willing to distort facts and manipulate public perception in this way?
Obama appears to feel he is above the fray and undeserving of scrutiny, despite applying for the job of the highest office in the country. He routinely scolds the press when they asked him a question or scolds his opponent if he feels at all attacked. How in the world will this man handle the very real and dangerous threats that exist in the world if he appears to lack the fortitude to withstand media scrutiny and attacks made by his opponent in the campaign?
Obama is willing to sit down with leaders of enemy nations. In these dangerous times, can we afford to have an inexperienced President with no international experience and with a stated willingness to sit down with our enemies without precondition? Do you grasp the implications of what could happen with just one misstep, one misjudgment, one naïve, boneheaded choice?
There is mounting evidence of enormous voter fraud and intimidation in all caucus states during the primaries. The evidence shows that this behavior worked in favor of Obama’s campaign. For those interested in learning about this, I invite you to visit http://clintondems.com/ to see video taped testimony (the 3rd video is particularly) and http://www.lynettelong.com/caucusfraud/ for written documentary and summary broken down by state. Is it acceptable to you that we elect to the office of President of the United States a man who quite likely stole the election within his own, co-opting party?

ctkey.. i used to be an electronics engineer in the silicon valley..knew many executives and a few ceos there..they loved Salon magazine!!..but what made me sick to my stomach was how hypocritical they were championing liberal causes and backing libs for office while at the same time making sweet deals with china to ship hundreds of thousands of american jobs over there..
that kind of hypocrisy is what disgusted me the most about those scumbags
Congratulations to all the WALMART PUMAS WHO MANAGED TO SIGN IN. I WAS UNSUCCESSFUL, but you made up for me.
You, especially Murphy, will get a “tickle” out of this comment.
What’s with all the Walmart Women
I know that, one could argue, contemporary identity is defined by consumer choices, but why would you want to self-define as a Walmart Women? Wouldn’t you rather be intellgent, engaged or compassionate- none of which I would necessarily consider an attribute of Walmart. I’m just askin??

NYT is reporting on MSNBC that the DNC is pulling money out of Georgia and North Carolina because they think Obama can’t win there. NYT is saying that Dean’s 50 state campaign is going to be narried down to the key swing states because of the recent polls showing Obama behind or tied in key states. They are now going to throw all their money in those states.

Alice 1943
The reason that the world wants Obama instead of McCain, is that they see an ineffectual US President that they can push around. Many of these countries are fighting and losing to the far left. We don’t need more policies that have already failed in other places. The Democratic leadership, not the members of the Democratic Party, has a history of picking half its candidates from the far left, and they always fail. More centrist candidates, such a Bill Clinton, are their most successful Presidents, since most of the country is more to the center, not the right or the left.
go vote.. the obots are winning!!!

1- Please, please, please reconsider releasing the documentary, Audacity of Democracy in October. I know you want to put the election results in the ending but having it to use as proof of what we are all fighting in this election is critical. Only having youtube videos, articles and the caucus fraud website is not enough to convince Democrats that voted for Hillary and insist on being ‘good’ Democrats by supporting Obama.
I have talked to people and used the limited resources we have now and am having a very difficult time proving my point. We need more proof. The movie would help reach more people and will be more important to tell the story before the election is over, than as just our voice after the fact!!!!!
2. Add to the movie the struggle to get the Clinton delegates to speak up at what happened to the votes they were entrusted to cast at the convention for 18 million voters. If we do not have them come forward more than we have now, their silence will only strengthen Obamas case of unity and continue to weaken our case of the loss of true democracy in this election.
3. A strong prowl to Clinton delegates urging them to be patriots and stand up and tell the truth of why they did not support Hillary voters at the convention. (I am not the best PUMA to compose this important prowl.) I do realize how many delegates there are to write to, so if we could at least cover the ones that did not represent us at the convention for starters, working on the others can be done as time goes on.

Joe Biden put his foot in his mouth again talking about Palin. I like Joe a whole lot! But gee whiz! I wish he would learn to control his tongue! Joe made a suggestion in his speech today McCain do not support stem cell research – he was wrong, DEAD WRONG. For Joe Biden to say Sarah Palin lacks support for children with disability is insulting to Sarah her 5 months old son Trig has Down Syndrome.
What’s the matter with democrats this year, they can’t find their head! They’re running around shooting their own feet like a headless chicken!

http://briefingroom.thehill.com/2008/09/09/biden-palin-would-be-backward-stepBiden: Palin Would Be ‘Backward Step for Women’
@ 1:08 pm by Andy Barr
Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.) says that if Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) becomes the first female vice president it will be a “backward step for women.”
Asked by a local television reporter in Milwaukee, Wisconsin if electing Palin would be a step forward for women, Biden said, “well look, I think the issue is what does Sarah Palin think? What does she believe?”
“I assume she thinks and agrees with the same policies that George Bush and John McCain think,” Biden added. “And that’s obviously a backward step for women.”

331 kasota on 09.09.08 at 2:19 pm NYT is reporting on MSNBC that the DNC is pulling money out of Georgia and North Carolina because they think Obama can’t win there. NYT is saying that Dean’s 50 state campaign is going to be narried down to the key swing states because of the recent polls showing Obama behind or tied in key states. They are now going to throw all their money in those states.

Does that mean the Dean bus tour it over?

I get ya, just need more proof to change ‘good Democrats’ minds. Without the delegates coming forward…God knows they owe it to the voters they DID NOT REPRESENT AT THE CONVENTION, they need to get their frickin’ act together and speak up! We look like a bunch of crackpots when they do not defend what we are telling people. I understand why Hillary will not speak up, to protect her standing so she can regroup and possibly run again…so I will cut her the break because having her as our President in the future is worth her silence…but for heaven’s sake, I am sick of our Clinton delegates throwing our votes into the wind for their own careers. Our democracy is more important than their little jobs. ROAR!

Ok it’s 3:00 and general hospital is on bb at 4 but lurking during commercials.
I’m just loving the way the halfwits are attacking Palin. They are presenting the idea that in order to be a good “Political Woman” you must support their agenda.
Other wise it is a step backwards.
Yup a real step backwards when a woman speaks her own mind.
Will the sexism from the left ever stop?
I like Hillary, she defends her politicals views in Florida without bashing Sarah Palin!

I, too wonder if CA will stay blue. Many Californians will not say who they are voting for publicly to avoid uncomfortable social situations so polls are inaccurate.
My guess is we will turn a lovely shade of purple for the first time in 20 years.
CA voted Rpublican in these general elections
1980 Reagan
1984 Reagan
1988 Bush Sr beat Dukakis
here is an article describing CA after the 2004 election:

363 Asian4Hillary & TexasTigress – oh, I see. Well what about some of the states that are “blue” here – Delaware – very, very large muslims community I believe, D.C. – Islamic curriculum (but they can’t vote), W. VA – Ramadan holiday, Maryland – Islamic in school curriculum – don’t know if it is school specific…there’s more, but I only started researching some of this in the spring and haven’t done much with it. Anyone can google this – isn’t Maryland going to BHO? Just curious. I was very surpised this past week in a way that Australia was largely Muslim also – heard that on the news or read it somewhere.

Texas, I agree and will send the letter out and add my own account about Delegates that were silenced.
Yes, the news media is partly at fault in all this and getting other than Faux news and the bloggers to consider the issue is part of the problem.
Can you image if 20 or more of the delegates came out and told the truth about the Denver voting? That would make this whole PUMA movement come into the light.
Delegates are listened to as a group by the media, we have been labeled as a bunch of sore losers and the delegates that didn’t represent OUR votes owe us this debt.
gypsy – I know Mi. has a very large Muslim population as well…

But she is not, and I am happy, she is a wise woman, the American people is watching very closely if Hillary will attack her. Hillary is no Obama. I have seen a lot of Hillary supporters (women) on TV saying that they are Democrats and do not feel comfortable voting for him. At the end of the article Hillary is giving a good complement to the Republicans for picking her.

Seriously though, the people I talk to who support Carpathia just don’t seem too happy anymore. The main reason is because he is a democrat. Thats it. Anti-repulicanism can’t win by itself. With McCAins pick of Palin the tide will shift.
His support is a mile wide and an inch deep.

Beca, there is an underlying tone to this whole issue. Either you believe women should be held to a gender neutral standard or you don’t.
Obviously Hillary does and the odnc does not.
I won’t even mention the filthy attacks by the obots.
Would a man have been treated like Hillary? No. Would a man had been required to cave like Hillary? No. Would a man be attacked like Palin is being? No.

382 1gypsy4mc I saw that too – wish I would have copied it and saved it …
Why Is Obama Afraid to Admit He Was Born and Raised Muslim?
Being a Black Muslim doesn’t disqualify him for running for President, so why won’t he be honest about it?
Maybe it’s because of what Floyd dug up from Obama’s distant and not-so-distant past…
What was Obama’s father doing with communist organizers just days before the Cuban Missile Crisis?
What did Obama mean when he described the Muslim call to prayer as “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset”?
Does Obama’s supposed conversion to Christianity make him an apostate “whose blood may be shed” by the devout nutcases in Islam?
When Obama was a full-time slacker–doing drugs and drinking heavily, did it stunt his development in any way?
Has Obama changed since he spoke of the “coldness of capitalism” and told his communist mentor he was “a spy behind enemy lines”?
And what about Michelle? When she says she’s obligated to put blacks before whites, is she just pandering, or is she speaking honestly?
With the Obamas often not on speaking terms, which of them would be sleeping on the couch in the White House?

{{{{{{{Anna7000}}}}}}}} Big hugs to you! I am on the same quest. Can you send the link? Is it in an email?
A touching story:
I was listening to a gentleman who’s the father of a down syndrome child calling in to the Rush Limbaugh program telling of making eye contact with Ms. Palin and McCain as the bus they were in was driving away from a place they were appearing. But then the bus stopped. Some secret service men went up to this gentleman and his child and asked if he wouldn’t mind coming with them. He said to himself, “Do I have any choice?” (that’s funny, I think)
So he was taken to meet Ms. Palin and Mr. McCain (per their desire). Ms. Palin then asked if she could hold his child with the down syndrome. They all just talked like a bunch of friends you could have a beer with.
The gentleman was simply awestruck by Ms. Palin’s compassion for children of special needs and the friendliness of everyone else in McCain’s entourage(including the secret service men).
The man said that he took pictures of all this. That’s when Rush requested they be sent to him ( via a special email address only three others know of) and also if it would be okay to post them on his website. The man overwhelmingly said yes, sure and then complimented Rush for all he does.
I actually smiled and teared at the same time when I heard this story about this man, his child and Ms.Palin.
I tell you folks, it just keeps getting better and better regarding Ms. Palin. John McCain chose one hell of a woman for vice president. Excellent judgement on his put.
Look for those pictures to be posted on Rush’s site soon. I know I will.
Hey Anna, I spend three times as much interest reading your posts anyway.
I don’t know if this is relevant but I thought it was interesting. So many people cancelled their subscriptions to US Weekly over the Palin cover that US Weekly is now offer 5 free issues of their magazine for them to not cancel.

A couple of months ago, Beckel said that there were a few zip codes in the South East that EVERY one was KKK.

BUT we WILL have a 45-minutes film ready by mid-October that WILL be moving and COULD perhaps be a Puma October Surprise. I’m working on the announcement for that now.
2. Point well taken. I’m pretty sure we have footage of delegates in Denver, but will follow up on that.
3. Good idea. I think we DO have that info pretty handily. This is actually a very good PROWL idea. Thank you.
Something is wrong, I can’t post a normal post without this long pile of posts being added…
I am just enjoying watching , hearing and seeing Obama and his “friends” complain about no one caring about the issue and it is just one speech. Pay backs are a great!!!! The Obama Pundits are so shrill right now.
Here in S.A., TX our 3 main local AM radio stations are conservative – talk shows, and then alot of country channels (lol); there are other PoP stations, but I haven’t listened; and our newspaper prints almost all McCain/Palin goodies. 416 bobram Hello!!
398 maxgrader. uh, are we now okay with Rush Limbaugh stories?? I am getting the creeps to know anybody pays any attention to Rush Limbaugh, no matter what story he claims to be telling on his show. Be skeptical, folks. Be skeptical of Limbaugh.
249 blue jay — i am equally confused as to what’s happening here, at the turn in this blog over the past several weeks.
if puma is stating ‘nothing on top’ is good strategy for voting in november, and that ‘voting for anyone but obama’ is good strategy for voting in november, and that a PROTEST vote is good strategy in november…. and if McCain is elected in november, how on earth does anybody expect this nation to move forward??? NONE of this is making sense. Since when does any voter in this country really think a protest vote on this scale will do any good??
I am seriously questioning the scope of all of this lately. I am deeply concerned all this talk is turning things into a culture war. I have to speak out on this, because the conversation in this blog and so many others is increasingly nasty in tone, and I DO NOT recognize my party nor my country if this is how things are going to continue.
Puma says it doesn’t endorse candidates. Fine. But allowing so much pro-mccain palin talk to go on here, all the while bashing those of us who question the sudden jump to the republican side, seems disingenuous. You are stifling dissent? Hmmm…
Calling “troll” when somebody asks questions? We are not trolls.
McCain Palin will be a disaster when all is said and done, and if anybody here thinks McCain or Palin will give a rip about pumas once the election is over, they are fooling themselves.
#424 firechief
SO whats your solution there firechief? Vote Obama? If MCCain /Palin is such a disaster who should we vote for, in your opinion? Cause one or the other is going to win.
On Fox now. Ron Paul could possibly announce as a third party candidate tomorrow. Bob Barr says he would get out of the race. This would help BO, no?
Thoughts?

Article$630,000 In Nigerian Stock Exchange Money Earmarked To Influence USA Election–Seized

This from BBC News, of course.
I recall The Real Barack Obama sending me a mybarackobama link to a “Nigerians For Obama” group. We were wondering what was up with that. Well, now we know.
Let’s start a daily count of how long it takes for the USA Main Stream NoMedia to pick up on this obvious effort on the part of the Nigerian Stock Exchange to illegally influence an American Presidential election.
Nigerian anti-graft investigators have seized money raised by the head of the Nigerian Stock Exchange to support US presidential candidate Barack Obama.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said it would give the money back to those who attended a gala dinner in Lagos last month.
The EFCC said it had seized 74m naira ($630,000, £314,000), but said no Nigerian laws had been broken.
US political parties are not allowed to receive contributions from abroad.
Stock exchange chairwoman Ndi Okereke-Onyuike is also the head of Africans for Obama, a Nigeria-based support group.
She was interviewed by the EFCC after media reports that the Obama campaign had disassociated itself from the group.
There is not one Nigerian who doesn’t have a relative or friend in America
Ndi Okereke-Onyuike
Africans for Obama
Mrs Okereke-Onyiuke said in August there had been a misunderstanding in the press regarding the event.
The money was going to be spent on adverts encouraging Nigerians in the US to vote for Mr Obama, she said.
Tickets to the lavish event in Lagos on 11 August cost more than $21,000 (£11,000) for an eight-person table.
“We never said we were going to donate money for the campaign,” she said.
“We paid for the hall and the entertainers and the surplus, we said would be spent on advertisements aimed at persuading Nigerians to tell their relatives in America to register to vote.
“There is not one Nigerian who doesn’t have a relative or friend in America. Our aim was to encourage those people to tell their family who have the right to vote in America to vote for Obama.”
Jealous
Full-page adverts in major newspapers publicising the event did not mention what the organisers were planning to do with the money.
Tickets to the gala dinner at the Muson Centre, usually used for conferences and trade shows, were split into two price ranges: “gold” and “platinum”.
Individual tickets for the more expensive platinum range cost $2,754 (£1,300) with an option to buy a “corporate” table sitting eight for more than $21,000.
She said the press was trying to attack her because they were jealous of her success.
“I am a woman of the highest integrity,” she told the BBC News website.
A statement form the EFCC said they had ordered Mrs Okereke-Onyuike to “steer clear of such activities in future”.
Ma’am, people of the Highest Integrity from other countries don’t attempt to intercede in American Elections. And it has everything to do with ethics and law, and nothing to do with jealousy. Honest.

I see this blog as a safe haven from the O-bots, where there is some level of dissent that is tolerated (leave it blank, vote 3rd party, vote MCain) but one LOUD and CLEAR voice of NOBAMA!
That is why I come. There are some posts that I don’t care for, but apparently they are important to the posters so I will not ask them to stop.
You say at the end of your post McCain/Palin will be a disaster. I ask you, what is the option? The most likely option?
I don’t think many of us here are happily embracing McCain (or any other option outlined above) but the thug “leadership” of the DNC stole our choice from us in broad day light (or was it in a dark cavernous back room?)
We don’t get to vote for our candidate this year. We have been told in BOLD FACE ENGLISH that our votes don’t matter. We are pissed and we will do ANYTHING to see Barry and his good old boy network go down the tubes so we can try to start building the democratic party back to what it was supposed to be.
#424
I don’t see BO as a viable option. I still don’t know what he really wants to do as president and I find his inexperience alarming. What do you think about the way Hillary Clinton was treated during the primary and the fact that the roll call vote was suspended?
-Lara08
lara..obama wants POWER
Osaka puma-that’s what it looks like to me. Right now what I expect is that if BO wins, BO wins. What do the American people get?
As far as I am concerned a message must be sent to the “power elite” in this country. The message must be clear.
We will not tolerate your corrupt behaviour and you will NOT be rewarded for such actions.
Period.
NObama no way not ever.
Thanks Gosueforhill, well said.
A clarification:
Puma PAC most certainly DOES endorse candidates. For example, we endorsed Hillary Clinton as the Dem nominee and for President. We are writing a Puma PAC slate for all 50 states (thanks gogandalf!) for Nov 4th, encouraging Pumas to vote NO OBAMA at the top and to pick mostly Dems, with VERY few exceptions, downticket.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Puma PAC does not endorse McCain. Here’s the reasons why:
a. He is a republican, and we dont support the repub platform.
b. He is a republican, and we dont support the repub platform.
Puma PAC is Protesting the 2008 Election. We are voting Nothing On Top for Obama.
Firechief, #424, you ask:
“Since when does any voter in this country really think a protest vote on this scale will do any good??”
If you think that the Voice of the Voters is pointless, futile, or impotent, you really are on the wrong blog.
It is the cornerstone of Puma PAC, the absolute foundation of our movement that UNITED VOTERS ARE THE MOST POWERFUL FORCE IN AMERICAN POLITICS.
Osaka,
I also suspect that the reason that BO spends so much time attacking Palin/McCain is that his team is having a hard time coming up with arguments for why he should be president. I heard the interview Murphy did with Gloria Allred and her main argument for why we should vote for BO was that the she “knew” the Republicans would be much worse. That argument doesn’t make me want to go to the polls. I’ve kind of already decided that I’m staying home. My vote for or against BO won’t really matter in TX anyway. McCain will win easily. That’s why BO’s camp isn’t wasting money campaigning here. Best, Lara08

you sound like a paid Obama blogger. You really do.
Let me say that McCain Palin getting elected will save America and will ADVANCE WOMEN’S RIGHTS BY A THOUSAND MILES. In fact women’s rights will be almost complete in some ways. But lets put that aside.
Lets say that we oppose DNC and Obama is NOT elected. That is tremendous for our movement. The Dems will listen to us on hands and knees next election. Everyone in this country will credit PUMA and other womens movements for Obamas defeat. We will have true power for the first time. NO ONE will dare to abuse us. mock us. make fun of us. belittle us. We will finally be treated with dignity and full respect. It will prove to be a major milestone in the climb for womens suffrage.
firechief just like Obama and the DNC you simply just do not get it.
The bigger womens groups grow this election and the bigger we defeat Obama the stronger we will be in the future. We have suffered long enough. This is our chance to have victory. We will fight for VICTORY.
The next election will probably be Hillary vs Palin. Just think of that. Both parties coming to women for leadership. That my friend is Victory. We will have all the issues that we have fought for after McCain Palin are elected. Maybe not immediately but certainly everything will be offered by 2012. We are the TRUE FORCE. We are uniting NOW. Please step aside and allow all women to come together into unity. This will be the greatest step forward for Democracy since the US was founded 235 years ago. The entire world is awaiting our movement’s success. Women all over the world hope and pray for our victory. It might not be the way we originally planned to win victory but victory it will be. It is so close right now I can almost taste the seetness of success.
And if you do not understand then please give us the freedom to follow our dreams. We feel we know what we are doing.
#424 Firechief
As a few others have stated, and as Dances with Pumas has scored: PUMA’s are 100% against voting for Obama. Now, everyone owns their own vote, so if you are still undecided whether you are going to vote for Obama or McCain, that is fine. But you will not find any Obama sympathisers on this site.
Few if any of us love McCain. However, in our quest for NOBAMA, there are not a whole lot of options. They have been enumerated here endlessly. The fact that you will see pro McCain and pro Palin comments, means that each new piece of info is one more nail in O’s coffin. None of us have traded in our Democratic principles.
We have just decided it is better to lose the battle than the entire war.
Re: #435
…or, as Murphy stated, I will go to the polls and will vote downticket Democrats, but not BO.
Another action group?
I’ve been thinking. I don’t want to give up on the media.
As we all know, the media is largely in the tank for Obama. I can think of at least 50 Not-good-for-Obama stories that the media has looked over.
I don’t think ads, debates, campaigning, and votes will be the only way to beat Obama. I think Obama needs to be exposed. I don’t want to wait and see if there is some October surprise. I want to make sure to cover all the bases.
The Obama camp has an Action Wire, which specifically targets media.
I am thinking that it would be good to start some sort of action group that is aimed only at media, and exposing Obama, with the goal of vetting him and getting some answers.
I’m a part of some responder groups, but I also want to be in a group that strictly sends information to the media, not just responds to it. I’d rather push the news out than take it in.
Obama’s camp has a strangle-hold on the media, Bill Burton et al are the ones who send out memos to the media non-stop, all day long, and they push stories hard. The Obama camp is shaping the news.
Maybe the McCain campaign has some sort of action / responder groups, but I am not interested in working from that side.
I think if numerous people forwarded online stories to the MSM on a daily basis that some of it would get reported on.
So, I just wanted to throw that idea out. I’m going to spread the idea around.

a-effing-men!
THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT!!!
You are 100% right.
It’s been our message from DAY ONE.
I dont really care what the republicans think about us. I do not want their bribes. A Puma PAC vote for McCain is a means to an end, pure and simple. and the end is:
Obama back to Chicago
Dean and Brazile back to obscurity
Pelosi and Reid back to the peanut gallery
United Democratic Voters being Respected by the leadership
kar in your hat – i agree that the media is crucial as it is 1) their job to investigate and report, and 2) they are able to reach millions of americans. that said, they have, thus far, expressed little interest in doing their job. that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t stop. but the reality has been pitiful. countless individuals with impressive credentials have been contacting the media with any number of issues. the media just hasn’t care. we keep trying, though.

And they haven’t even campaigned there yet!
A new Public Policy Polling survey gives McCain a 5-point lead in Florida, up from 3. He’s now at 50%, to 45% for Obama.
“Barack Obama has dropped a few points each time we’ve polled Florida over the course
of the summer,” said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling. “Virginia and
Colorado may end up as the states more critical to his Electoral College strategy this fall
if the trend continues.”
Yikes! Virginia and Colorado? I just heard a FOX report on how very very difficult it would be for Barry to wrest Virginia out of the RED column…
Yep, Barry should have followed his own advice…

RE: Bridge to Nowhere
1) Both Obama and Biden voted FOR the Bridge to Nowhere.
2) The Alaska Democrat party credited Palin in stopping the Bridge to Nowhere. Although it looks that has been scrubbed off their website recently.
I have no qualms at all about voting for McCain/Palin. They are a much better choice than OB. The DNC and OB need to know that the American people will not tolerate what they have done with this election. It is a big price to pay, but they made the bet and now they will lose it.
Maybe next time around, 4 years from now, they will let the people decide and NOT Nancy, Howard, Harry etc.
Payback time for them but I am sure they will be run out of town by then.
No qualms at all. Revenge is sweet….

Thanks, you are so dead on.
add Hillary 2012 election to that list
So many voters have gotten involved in the process this time, and so many of us have witness and experienced the dysfunction of our party. I do believe many long-time, very active Dems see the same dysfunction and want to see real change. And no surprise, some of them are Obama supporters because in their experience that’s how you get things done — you work from the inside. They do not see voting for Republicans as any way to get to that change. And by allowing these far-right Republicans to be elected, particularly as President and VP, I think any change you’re hoping for will be a long, long way off. Maybe it’s better to maintain as much Dem power as you can, even if it isn’t exactly the guy you want, than to have the ultra-Conservative wing of the Republican party maintain control of the White House by duping the voters into thinking they are anything different this time around; they are not.
I am not a troll, I am not a paid or unpaid or anything Obama blogger. I am a voter, oldish, involved, I read, I think, I write, I participate just like all of you. I am doing my level best not to get cynical over this election. But I simply cannot stand by here and watch this election be given to McCain on a silver platter because a bunch of my fellow Democrats decided to be angry.
Get in there, and rather than just keeping the Dems from the top spot, why not consider getting yourselves in there and doing something from the inside, at your local or state level and national level, and begin demanding change there. This election is epic, surely Dean knows he blew this, and they will be listening, but not if the Republicans are in the White House. I can hear the crickets chirping in the Republican Rose Garden right now. They don’t give a damn, which is why they gave us Palin.
EVERYONE: Well, it finally happened: I have been waiting for the bi…ch name to be used on Sarah Palin as it was on H. Today at the McCain blog, where I took a little run it happened.I had to answer…I said the one good thing about that name is that in reality, in this world…a…

“…so I screamed I’m a Puma and i’m voting for McCain…”
LOL. “screamed”
I posted earlier that NObama was pulling out of North Carolina. Now I know why. SurveyUSA just released a poll from the Tar Heel state and McCain is up by 20 Pts. WOW, just 3 weeks ago McCain only had a 3 pt lead. NObama is also having to now defend Michigan. He had a 7 pt lead a few weeks ago and now only has a 1 point lead. Of course, I read today that Obama camp has sent 30 lawyers to Alaska to find dirt on Palin and to maybe manipulate the outcome of the ethics investigation. The 3 Legislators in charge of the investigation were recently photographed at the Obama HQ office in Anchorage. Smells fishy. Kind of like the primaries against Hillary.
What are the questionable states right now? PA, OH, Virginia?…

Murphy- that is going to be a hard sell to the media since 99.9% of the comments on this website are anti-Obama and pro-McCain. #468 Firechief – We are in “there.” We are a P.A.C. which is an acronym for Political Action Community. We all joined this group to be a force united. We are all united in our belief that Senator Clinton was the stronger candidate as the next POTUS. Speaking only for myself, I never and still do not believe that Obama is qualified or competent enough to be our POTUS. I didn’t believe that to begin with and he has DONE NOTHING to change my mind.
I have always been proud of being a Democrat, because Democrats are not typically focused on only one issue like many republicans are republican because they are pro-guns, or anti-choice, etc. I am looking at each candidate and their actual voting records as my main decision-factors for this race, using a weighted system of issues that are important to me. I will look at their “presidential issue platforms” only as a supplement, as I don’t believe they provide a good basis for how they will govern. (i.e. “Read my lips.”). Thank you for allowing me to convey my opinion.
#368 – I am curious about California as well. I live in California and with the exception of 2 people, all of them are voting for McCain/Palin. BTW, most people I know are Democrats. I agree that people are keeping mouths closed, because there is a lot of pressure here.

Saying “nothing on top” for obama is good but americans want to vote for someone to be president.

What do you think?
LeahBeth #471 — we’ve been against Obama since Day One. nothing’s changed there. However, I challenge you to find instances of Obama “bashing” here at Puma PAC. We attack Obama on issues, politics, experience, actions, inactions, leadership qualities, and policies. All fair game in civilized, productive discourse.
We defend Sarah Palin against sexist attacks, from all quarters, because “that’s how feminism works,” to quote Melissa McKewan. We dont support her politics.
I also challenge you to find any significant number of “promoting” McCain comments. Even in the first several days after the Palin pick, when many Pumas were reeling with dismay that the REPUBLICANS had chosen a woman and realizing how PROFOUNDLY the dems had betrayed us as voters this year, the vast majority of what you might call “promoting” McCain comments were very bland, garden-variety compliments like, “he’s a brave American.” or “he has an admirable biography” — things that most Democrats, including Hillary Clinton — have always said about him.
But, your concern is duly noted.
#447 tennaseepuma – Thanks – Here is the paragraph you referenced above for the rest of the blog to read:
“How paper ballots are handled
In areas where paper ballots are still used, election officials manually read each ballot and add up the number of votes in each race. Sometimes two or more election officials will read each ballot to ensure accuracy. Since these ballots are filled out manually, it can sometimes be unclear how the voter intended to vote. In these cases, the election judge either decides how the voter intended to vote, or declares that the voter’s vote for that race will not be counted. The most common problem with manual vote counting is, of course, human error.”
See tennaseepuma’s link at #447.

From the Chicago Daily Observer:
Now that Alaska is front and center in the news again, it is a good time to catch up on a favorite story, The Bridge to Nowhere, using the Washington Post US Congress Votes Database.
Though Gov. Palin originally supported the earmark spending on the Ketchikan bridge (“to nowhere), she eventually killed the project, chosing to spend Federal money on other infrasturcture programs.
However, Sen. Biden and Sen. Obama voted for funding the Bridge, even when given a second chance by Sen. Tom Coburn, who proposed shifting earmark funds to Katrina relief.
Sen. McCain did not vote on the Coburn Amendment, though he is on record as opposing the Ketchikan bridge earmark.

slyt2, what I am getting at is a bit more like what LeahBethM is asking about….I am talking about using this forum to be a powerful avenue for informing and educating people about the candidates and their policies, to cut through the MSM spin and misinformation, to cut through the party spin and misinformation, so that voters can make an intelligent choice. I am also talking about getting people involved in their community so they can make the changes they want to see made.
It seems most here are willing to vote McCain. That is all anybody write about here! What is up with that? How did we get to that point? How they’ve arrived at THAT after supporting Hillary makes zero sense to me. No matter how mad they are at the DNC and Obama.
Change it from the inside, now that you know first-hand how things are done and how bad it needs reform. Use your power and knowledge to make these changes. Don’t give up one bit of it to a Republican party that does not want your input.
Don’t give away the farm. Hold onto the farm so we can work for change and can make sure Hillary and others have every possible point of strenght at their disposal.
That is my point.

Hi Firechief. It is a very hard decision this year but in my thinking the Democrats are not working for women regardless of what they say. I can not vote against my own best interest and so I will be voting McCain /Palin. Clearly the Dems were ready to do what ever it took to keep their qualified female candidate off the ticket and out of higher office. They also foster ignorance regarding Roe v Wade so that they can use it to threaten women. They said it wasn’t women in higher office which they objected to just not Hillary in higher office. Now Palin a fresh face with loads of out of the beltway experience steps up to try her hand at working for The People and the Dems trot out the same sexism they used to bury Hillary. I appreciate McCain giving women a hand up. Men have not represented our best interests well. I also see and appreciate that Republican men are strong enough to stand up and protect the women they nominate not tell them to sit down and shut up because their success could embarrass some lesser men. I know what is see and I will not be voting Democrat until their purge of sexism, OH I mean “alleged” sexism, is complete. Women have waited in the wings long enough.
HELP NEEDED
Does anyone rememeber the word Clinton used on the convention floor when NY State came up in the roll call and she essentially made a motion to make Obama the nominee. I think the word began with “A”, but I’m not sure. It was one of those official words and I need it for a project I’m working on.
“Maybe it’s better to maintain as much Dem power as you can, even if it isn’t exactly the guy you want, than to have the ultra-Conservative wing of the Republican party maintain control of the White House by duping the voters into thinking they are anything different this time around; they are not. ”
Isn’t “exactly the guy you want”?? Gimme a break. The racism was bad enough, and the sexism and misogyny were over the top. Screw ‘em and everyone who supports him. He and his thugs stole the primary, pure and simple. Screw ‘em, and anyone who supports him. He’s the antithesis of anyone I’d want to be President.
Actually, your entire campaign on this blog against McCain, could be used against Obiteme.
Isn’t the point of voting in the down-ticket Democrats to maintain Democratic power? At least those Democrats who didn’t enable this DP travesty.
I’m not a Republican. That they will not give a fig about me after the election doesn’t bother me one whit. When have they ever cared about me anyway? My own party already said as much, they don’t need our votes. Fine.
Besides all o fthat, I think it serves the Republicans right to have another Republican clean up their last boy’s messes.
PS Co-worker who knew I was going to Denver and followed via MSM, thanks all of us. She, her mother, and two aunts, all lifelong liberal Democrats will be voting for (here’s where she cringed) McCain.
PPS McCain and the other 3rd party candidates couldn’t have wished for better vote recruiters than Oshmo and his obots. He can’t (and won’t) win without us, yet they continue with their vile sexist slime hurling. Cool. Saves therest of us from doing that much more work.
Thank you Anna!

Thank you for your reply
I don’t have time to go through all of the comments. My point was though that when people see this site with all the Obambi, noObama, bozo, wolf in sheep’s clothing, etc. comments and do not see any noMcCain, noPalin, McPuppet, etc. comments then it does make it look like the PUMAs are endorsing the McCain-Palin ticket. If the site is not endorsing McCain then it seems there should be both sides represented – with the main focus of PUMA on the DNC and reform.
Have a great day – have tons of stuff to get done today.

I haven’t read all posts but I did read this one by chance and wanted to comment,
Unfortunately, this time, the only language the DNC will understand is a total knockdown.
If NObama wins this election, all that the DNC, the media, NObama and his goons, financiers, and minions have done will be validated, all will be reinforced.
Is this the true, civilized democracy that we need and want?
We are being forced to vote “differently” this time and we must, we have no choice.
#497 firechief on 09.09.08 at 5:12 pm
The way I am reading you, you are actually saying that we should fold and go Obama…
And you are certainly working in unison with your allies to spread your subtle and not so subtle message and attempting to sow dissension within the ranks here. People here are fed up with the loss of their voice, the trashing of their candidate Hillary Clinton and the complete loss of the power of their vote. Obama and the anti-democracy DNC are responsible for that. If they are looking at how to defeat that, who are you to throw it back in their faces and attempt to use Democrat guilt to sway them?
The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Get used to it.

Yes, that’s it! Thank you tennessee and firechief. (Ach, now I can sleep tonight. But, more importantly, can get going on this section of what I’m working on.)
Thank you one and all!

I can certainly understand your position since I work around people saying that to me all day. One thing to consider is if the Clinton delegates did not cast their vote for you at the convention, where is the ‘working from the inside’ making anything better in this election. I was thinking of trying to be a delegate a week ago, but if I had worked hard and ended up being one of the few delegates to cast a vote for Hillary in Denver, I would just as angry as I am now.
To say that the Republicans do not respect us women isn’t that far feched, but the point is neither party cares about respecting our vote, McCain is playing to us by his VP choice to some degree, and Obama is just treating us like an old chair he uses to climb up on to the cookie jar.
Which party will feel the sing of our vote, not the Reps, they are just hoping to use us…but the Dems. The same Democrats that thought they could win without us.
If you want to vote for Obama because you actually think he will follow though in the next 4 years acting on Democratic principles…then do what is best for you. There are plenty of his sites out there. But if you question that what he got away with in this election is on the same level of BS that Hitler did to his countrymen, before he was elected and they found out who he really is…then you should consider being a PUMA. I think Obama is evil for what he has done to a great woman and her 18 million voters. I don’t want him, his DNC nor his goons in control of my country. Period!

521 BillieJo I know for a fact my state delegates (HRC) did indeed cast their votes for me and all of those who elected them to go forward to the National Convention.
In particular, I know for a fact the delegates from my own legislative and congressional districts voted for my candidate, Hillary.
I know THEY did all they could.
#497 firechief – With due respect, we are not clueless people here on this blog. It seems very difficult for you to accept that we are not voting for Obama. We get from your many posts that we need to “fix the DNC from the inside” and that means what ? Voting in the bad guy so that we can have 8 years to fix the party from the inside ?
Is it the same as rewarding this deceitful man and his machine and hope to God that we can have something useful to do for the next 8 years now that WE HAVE OBAMA ON THE INSIDE OF OUR CAMP?
What I don’t get is your determination to push your agenda of electing Obama into office and then fix the party.
Please accept that we will vote for who we think will be Country First – and I think Murphy did say that we get what you want but enough already.
Most of the country is losing it’s O’Boner!

We are still over 18 million Hillary voters who will hold BO’s feet to the fire if he is elected.

1. Is the word acclamation a noun or a verb? How would it be used in a sentence? How did Clinton use the word to move to put BO’s name as the nominee?
2. When Alice Germond asked those on the floor after Clinton “acclamed” (?)…..and asked all those in favor say – Is it: “ay” for yes? Is that how to spell it?
Thanks.
No Firechief, I do NOT think McCain will give a hoot about Hillary’s 18 million voters when he is elected. Of course I dont. That’s why we dont endorse him
I do KNOW however, that the DEMOCRATIC PARTY sure as HELL will give a very loud and screeching HOOT about Hillary’s 18 million voters on Nov 5th.

This is not a Unity site. It is not a Uniformity site.
It is an antiObama site and Pac as well as a Pac and site to reform the usurped Democratic Party. I,frankly, think you either do not understand that or you do not accept that. We are not here to debate support of Obama. If you need to do that, then I guess you could go talk to ole Gloria Allred and you two could figure out what else to do. As for us, we are committed to the defeat of the fraud of Obama and the fraud of DNC.
The first step to reform the Party is absolute defeat of the Party candidate. That is ole time, street time, all politics is local politics….and that is what we will continue to do. In the old Irish political tradition here,
you punish your enemies and while you are doing it,
you make sure they understand who is doing it and why! In the end, the art and craft of politics is as pragmatic as can be. Action, not theory runs this world,
like it or not.

This whole situation the D/ONC put you, me and many other Democrats into is sickening. They knowingly threw democratic principles under the bus while trying to emulated the tactics that gave the presidency to W. Not only what they did is wrong it needs to be held in check so it never happens again. I don’t trust the Repubs elite because they spent billions on think tanks to frame issues and manipulate hearts and minds to get what they want and they are good at it.
Fortunaly, there are viable options for those of us who will not cast a vote for the Repub ticket: Cynthia McKinney/Rosa Clements http://www.gp.org/index.php , Ralph Nader/Gonzales http://www.votenader.org/ Their platforms are inline with progressive values and a vote for them clears conscience and still sends the message to the D/ONC—PRINCIPLES BEFORE PARTY—the key to all this is to make darn sure the Congress is overwhelmingly progressive!

I think this election season is getting silly. I went out to buy a new bed for my spare bedroom. I end up talking to three guys about politics! Holy crap! These guys are all in their 20′s, one is married to a teacher asking me opinions what I think of NObama and McCain. We talk from taxes to character all the way to Palin. They’ve asked for website where they can get info as everything they read out there are bias. I gave them pumapac.org, opensecrets.org, factcheck.org. I explained to them when NObama talks about increasing taxes that includes their payroll tax! Fortunately these guys are not sold out with NObama, they’re worried. We were sitting on this dining table they’re selling, they’re asking me infos and I was answering their questions. Next time I must have PUMA flyers with me in my car so I don’t have to write down stuff.
I have to disagree, maybe is not politically(for a democrat) correct to say, but we actually do not know if he will give a hoot or not, as far as I am concern he sticks more to what he says than obimbo

Snowtiger 566….I agree. I truly think McCain is interested in a government that’s in the middle. I think he is going to have an administration of the best regardless of party. I think he is going to show by example how compromise between parties can get many things accomplished. Could be wishful thinking, but I feel that is the way it will be.

NoHillaryNoVote. Strategy Talk.
I have not been back since Sunday and I am faced with the same problem … too much going on! (In some ways … a good thing; but practically speaking, a very difficult environment.) It is time-consuming to find the information that helps me achieve any practical action.
My concerns and suggestions:
MOST IMPORTANT!
Please don’t trash Hillary. She has been through enough … we have no idea what the pressures on her are. I think that she is doing the very best that she can under the circumstances.
2. Try to get the facts … not rumors. This applies to Obama as well as to Palin. Aside from the general ethics of not spreading false information, misinformation completely takes away credibility. Also demonizing anyone (including Obama) is not effective. It is a turnoff to anyone who has not made a decision. Worse, it tends to “harden our hearts.” Not a good thing; not what we want to be as people.
I don’t hate Obama; I don’t hate anyone. I am however concerned about corruption in the voting process and the integrity of the election process (not limited to the Democratic Party), the politics of personal destruction (again, not limited to the Democratic Party obviously), and now the integrity of journalism .
So, here is my personal strategy for the time being.
1. Donating to this site (as soon as I get home.)
2. Tracking down rumors (on both sides) and getting to truth as far as I can determine it.
3. Working to correct rumors … and not overstating anything! Credibility is precious.
4. Writing letters to businesses which support people and media outlets that blatantly and regularly mis-represent facts.
I believe that truth is powerful. Not every disagreement is about truth. There is plenty of room for interpretation and for different values and opinions. But there are also facts (what people do, what they voted on, etc.) These should be accurately reported and people allowed to make up their own minds.
I understand that McCain’s campaign in South Carolina was deeply harmed by a rumor that he had fathered an out-of-wedlock black child and forced his wife to adopt this child. We know in fact that Cindy McCain rescued a small baby from an orphanage in Bangladesh and the McCain’s adopted her. She is Bridget McCain. That is the power of rumors, and it does our country no good in the long run to have elections decided on this basis. And frankly, this is equally true of rumors about Obama. (Sorry if I offend anyone.)
So what I would love to see is a kind of “Rumor/Truth Cental” and a place where media misinformation is carefully documented and the names and contact information of advertisers for that media outlet are listed.
Is this possible or is it being done somewhere else?
Again, facts are powerful. Pumas are smart, powerful and energitic people. Let’s focus our efforts.
Democratic SWAT team in Anchorage
City slickers invade Wasilla
It’s no surprise, then, that Democrats have airdropped a mini-army of 30 lawyers, investigators and opposition researchers into Anchorage, the state
capital Juneau and Mrs. Palin’s hometown of Wasilla to dig into her record and background. My sources report the first wave arrived in Anchorage less than 24 hours after John McCain selected her on August 29.

Could you help me out and kick some butt as I try to make rabid Hard Leftist misogynistic attack dogs understand why I have left the party to become an Independent? I’ve gotten over 60 comments and have generated at least three letters to the editor just today, according to the opinion page editor, Jeff Charis-Carlson

#573 kat in your the hat….so what are those views that are not so conservative on Sarah Palin. What have you heard???
In a need to know basis because I got several remarks and very anti Palin stuff back from feminist friends I know. They think the Dems have it right on all their issues and are willing to vote for NOBO because of this …totally over looking all the sexism, character flaws, flip flops and and inexperience. Need something to combat them.

POSTER
Do you think the new flyer/ poster should say something like “Why I won’t vote Obama” (not that, but something) and then a bullet point list of reasons why?
We can make it concise but very informative. I’d like for us to vote on or contribute to the rough draft. I saw a list floating around yesterday that is very good, but I really want to make sure to cover every reason.
deep south..look at it this way..
both parties are owned by the same people..
presidents and politicians are like managers..sometimes one set of managers is booted out to give another team a chance to improve efficiency .. but make no mistake about it..the rules and limits of the game they play are set by the super elite
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the elections were held immediately after the Conventions? Thus doing away with the endless campaign rhetoric on all sides?
Freddie…
I’m thinking: light on graphics… long on valid (i.e. no opinions) on Obama’s record (votes and accomplishments), stated positions (flip flops), with inclusion of the DNC/RBC and caucus frauds?
Maybe a tri-fold pamphlet instead of an straight-up 8×10 sheet?
#591 DeepSouth
I doubt it is wishful thinking. One of the best things about this whole cycle, from my point of view, was (hopefully) seeing a Hillary McCAin run off. It would have a sent a clear message to the extremes at both ends that we want to see our government work for the whole country.
I believe John McCAin and Hillary Clinton represent that middle ground, from different bases of course, as much as anyone could.
Well, if we get a McCain presidency and Hillary as the most powerful Democrat in the country, we should do pretty good.
Imho anyway.

The sins that NObama has committed against the only true and qualified candidate, Hillary Clinton, are NOT RUMORS.

Roar!
EVERYONE: I am old enough to remember when both parties and Congress as a result had a wonderful mix of different views. There were liberal, moderate and, so called conservatives in BOTH. After 20 plus years of union scab Ronald Reagan astrology driven by Nancy ultra right political power, McCain, I assure you, exhibits the opportunity for that party to get more balance. While I do not care personally one way or the other, this is a public issue, and we have seen the results of the extremes in both parties. The Democratic Party is beyond an extreme. It has catapulted, nay,
run with enthusiasm to the far edge and over the edge of legality. Hillary represented the balance of views for our party…as we know. It is time to punish, to as, Monty Python reminded us in that spoof of the Middle Ages….Bring out your dead!..and start over…We will.
NoHillaryNoVote – suggestion to Ladyhawke
Focus on the reform of the Democratic party because of the corruption at the Convention.
Never try to have more than one theme. Most people have no idea. If you can assemble facts on this that you believe are real and are compelling, I would go with this theme and no other.
600 osaka puma So one could say it really doesn’t even matter what we think or say or do? If true, then the end results are already pre-ordained.
Did anyone else ever notice that when an obot comes in here to blog they don’t come alone and they already seem to know where other divisive remarks are? They really seem to be just trying to keep us pumas from focusing on our goal……..NOWAY NOHOW NOBAMA!
Hi everyone,
I have been lurking this week as I have been helping here in Buffalo some good democrats in the primary. My son is going door to door. There was a sweet guy running for a seate who was pictured with Hillary. We spoke about the ticket and I told him I would not vote for Obama. He said “but Obama is going to put her on the Supreme Court”. I think you can imagine the rest of the conversation! Good dems need our help this year.
@ # 597: Here’s a portion of an article, and I’ll pass along more info. (I keep reading that she doesn’t have a record of being anti-gay, based on a veto vote (I think) and something she said about gay marriage being a state issue, like many mainstream politicians have said.)
http://www.nypost.com/seven/09092008/postopinion/opedcolumnists/how_obama_blew_it_128132.htm
“Since they didn’t know anything about her, they started making things up. Anything that fit the caricature of a right-wing hypocrite was thrown up with, seemingly, no fact-checking.
They said she opposes contraception, when she said in a campaign debate that she is pro-contraception. They said she cut funding for pregnant teens, when she provided a massive funding hike.
They accused her of cutting funding for mentally disabled children, when she raised it 175 percent over the former administration. She was said to have been a member of the wacky Alaska Independence Party; The New York Times had to run a retraction.
Like Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Palin has been deemed one of the GOP’s rising stars. Since it’s national reporters job to cover American politics, their ignorance of about her is distressing.”

I find it ironic that it was NOBAMA’s victory in the North Carolina primary that supposedly won him the Democratic nomination (that and all the caucus fraud) and convinced many superdelegates to back him. Now Obama can’t even with North Carolina. Didn’t Pelosi tell us that NOBAMA would put these red states into the Democratic column? Where have all the red state democrats gone that supported Obama? Where has NOBAMA’s great independent voter base gone to? Maybe Congress should launch an investigation!

Dear Pumas,
Why would I hurt my family to vote for Obama?
If you own a house and sell it right now, the tax will be zero on the first $500,000
Obama however wants a capital gains tax of 28% on ALL home sales. So for retirees or families that have kids to send to school, think about this…
Obama will cut 95% of everyones taxes by giving us $500 single, and $1,000 married rebate to compensate for high energy prices. He wants to give families $4,000 tax credit/yr for college. NOW DO THE MATH.
Here is the Obama plan to feece you out of your life’s assets. He puts a little in your front pocket and steals huge amounts out of your back pocket…all those retiring baby boomers to “hoodwink”.
Obama
income: $1,000 energy tax rebate, $4,000/college
loss: 1/4 of the value of your largest asset, your home:
Home value:
$100,000 – loss: $20,000 – $28,000
$200,000 – loss: $40,000 – $56,000
$300,000 – loss: $60,000 – $84,000
$400,000 – loss: $80,000 – $112,000
$500,000 – loss: $100,000 – $140,000
So he gives you $20,000 for 4 yrs of school as long as you do community organizing (service) for him.
And $4,000 total for 4 years to offset energy costs.
But look at what he gets from you!
NOT SUCH A GOOD DEAL AFTER ALL?
McCain = no stealing $$$ on the sale of your home.
snowtiger on 09.09.08 at 6:34 pm
Thx for the link. That was unbelievable! How LOW will these people go???
This is NOT funny!
Didn’t PUMAs let people know yesterday? About the fraud?
I like “why not Obama” as a lead in… less graphics – noted.
I am not sure if I want the poster to elicit negative emotion on him or to be a fact sheet. Fact sheets tend to be boring – I believe emotive posters are more effective. Look at the Obama followers – at least my “educated” friends… all they can say is ” but he is such a popular guy, he rallies people together, he is all about change… these are very “untangible” thoughts that people feel good about when they talk about him.

Or maybe she posts at Will Bower’s site.I post over at the Mc sit and I can tell you I am one of the most avid, shall we say? antiObama posters. I love zapping them there because I can say all my stuff and then when they call me a Republican whatever..I list all bout me… and talk about the 250+ anti obama sites run by usually young Democrats. They usually don’t want to talk to me after that….Does anyone know why? It is an exercise for me in true guerilla opposition warfare! Lots of fun, actually after 10 months not under cover battle! I think the third tier of reserves are blogging there…many not half as good as they used to employ…maybe money is not as good,
maybe 10 months makes the difference. They are all Alinsky deconstructionists of logic and truth. Stupid and dangerous in their ignorance, as we all know.

What has changed between when he made that comment in 2004 and now and since when do we elect neophytes for President?
Obama has never remained in any single job or position for any length of time to actually make a contribution. Where do his convictions lie: With those he is slated to serve, or with his own personal ambitions?
Obama has no history of being a so-called “uniter”. His voting record reveals a pattern of digging in or not voting.
Senator?
Obama has changed his position on numerous serious issues, including abortion, gun control, Iraq troop withdrawal, campaign financing, taxes, and FISA while also embracing Bush’s faith based initiatives. Why should anyone trust what he says if he changes his mind so often on substantive issues?
Obama was the only Senator to vote “yes” on a bill that would allow babies born alive due to failed abortions to be left to die. And he did so three times (state and federal votes combined). Even passionately pro-choice Senators voted “no” on this bill. Why would anyone in their right mind condone such barbaric behavior as infanticide?
Obama’s word cannot be trusted. In addition to his flip-flopping on issues, he has a proven propensity to go back on his word or blatantly lie. In 1996 he went back on his word to Alice Palmer. In 2004, he went back on his word to the American people that he would not run for President, by immediately running for President. If someone proves their willingness to go back on their word, how can you trust them regarding anything they say, particularly when there is so little evidence of achievement to go on and all we have is their word?
Obama also has a history of affiliating himself with questionable characters, including convicted felons and terrorists. Once exposed, he either claims innocence or minimizes these relationships. He publicly stated he was unaware of Wright’s hateful rants, despite having embraced Wright as a father figure while sitting in the pews of his church for 20 years. While trying to prove to the American public that he was Christian (a point which is neither here nor there), Obama stated his weekly devotion to attend Sunday church services. Once Wright became a controversial issue, Obama started to back peddle regarding how often he went to church services. So which is it? Every week or rarely? And what of someone who takes on as a father figure a man who honors Farrakhan with a Lifetime Achievement Award?
Why should anyone have a shot at becoming the President who has affiliated himself with the likes of Bill Ayers?
Obama routinely expresses a confused understanding of history, including his own personal history, noting that he is the product of the march on Selma, despite the fact that he was born four years prior to the march. Why would you accept a candidate who is so willing to distort facts and manipulate public perception in this way?
Obama appears to feel he is above the fray and undeserving of scrutiny, despite applying for the job of the highest office in the country. He routinely scolds the press when they asked him a question or scolds his opponent if he feels at all attacked. How in the world will this man handle the very real and dangerous threats that exist in the world if he appears to lack the fortitude to withstand media scrutiny and attacks made by his opponent during the campaign?
Obama claims a desire to reach as many people as possible, yet declines invitations from the McCain campaign for additional debates. Since the best way to reach the most people is on national television, why support a candidate who prefers to minimize such exposure? In addition, given his claims about energy use and energy policy, why support a candidate who prefers to jet around the country consuming enormous amounts of fuel, when he could sign up for more debates, use less fuel, and reach more people?
There is mounting evidence of voter fraud and intimidation in all caucus states during the primaries that benefited Obama’s campaign. For more information visit http://clintondems.com/ to see video taped testimony and http://www.lynettelong.com/caucusfraud/ for written documentation. Is it acceptable to elect to the office of President of the United States a man who quite likely stole the election within his own, co-opting party?
Obama is willing to sit down with leaders of enemy nations. In these dangerous times, can we afford to have an inexperienced President with no international experience and with a stated willingness to sit down with our enemies without precondition? Do you grasp the implications of what could happen with just one misstep, one misjudgment, one naïve, boneheaded choice?

I did not to intend to suggest that the information about Obama is all rumors. What I said was be sure that the information that you share is true and that you can back it up. The reason is to maintain credibility so that we will be listened to and trusted.
freddiebrown,
The problem has been that posters evoke feelings, but facts give knowledge and reasons not to vote. If you put the facts in peoples hands, they will make the right decision. This is a close election year, they WILL read it.
They need facts, to support their position. I won’t make the effort to get information out there if I’m not educating the people why they shouldn’t vote for Obama. Obama is lecturing to people and teaching them to vote for him. We have to fight fire with fire. Put the right information into peoples hands. I know it works, I’ve done it before effectively! Bullet items with websites are not boring! Everyone will have different reasons not to vote for him, let them choose why off a list that educates them. Tell them the books that they can read, the caucus fraud website, the puma site, the flip-flops, the facts. They can learn more than they ever will at this point off the T.V.
Ok so far only Brit Hume has aired it , did anyone send it to Hannity or Glen Beck , Lou Dobbs? I haven’t seen anyone else cover it all day hopefully now that it’s been seen others will pick it up but I think that video snowtiger just showed would be a good one to send out to media again.

Maybe a tri-fold pamphlet instead of a straight-up 8×10 sheet?
A great idea and on each fold on the top heading will be the following 6—6—6—the number of the beast

1. Inexperience
2. Has accomplished nothing except community organizer
3. Caucus corruption via his campaign managers
4. Selected NOT elected by the citizens
5. Is he actually an American
6. Is he constitutionally eligible to run for the presidency

Obama Flip Flops
1. F.I.S.A
2. Public Financing
3. Illegal Immigration
4. Special Interests
5. The Cuba Emgargo
6. 16 month Time Line for Iraq.

Obama Personality Flaws

Great article on how Palin may help McCain win Michigan and how the women’s vote has decided the president in last 8 out of 9 presidential elections..too bad they threw Hillary under the bus.

Ok. I’m really mad now. Can someone confirm Obama said this about Sarah Palin? The quote is below:
“You can put lipstick on a pig, it’s still a pig.”
Ok Pumas , I am going to try this one more time before I throw in the towel on this idea to target LOCAL stations in SWING states … These are the local stations all across Pa. – kind of an important state right now . PLEASE take the time to send them an e-mail to either give them links to some hard FACTS they are not reporting on or just to tell them why you aren’t voting for Obama – or whatever you want . This idea doesn’t work if we don’t all do it , so please help me out here . Thanks

Three fold idea interesting, though more labor intensive and/or costly.
Would avoid the 666 idea if you want folks to actually read the text and take you seriously.
The challenge is how to make claims AND substantiate them in a small amout of space. Without a small bit of substantiation, it’s just a claim, something anyone can make. But then once you get into substantiated it, the space gets eaten into really fast. It’s almost as if we need different fliers to focus on different things. Or, if making a list of claims, have at least a place (web link) to refer people to for further info. But that place would have to be very credible, not a biased u-tube link.

Seriously he is Vietnamese and he said a lot of people in his community like him because McCain forgave his people – he is a decent man. But he said he will definately spread NoBama.

Yes and no. Ben Smith at Politico just reported this.
Obama did say, “You can put lipstic on a pig,and it’s still a pig” but it was in the context of the change policy of McCain/Palin. He said it in Lebanon, VA.
People certainly made the connection to Palin “pitbull/lipstick” remark and they were intended to do that. But that is a long way from Obama calling Palin a pig with lipstick.
Careful …don’t get upset and only fight the battles that are real. His attack is entirely within the realm of normal politics.
don’t know if this site has ever been posted – if so sorry for the duplication. voting records for members of congress.

OMG Obama called Palin a pig.
Dead man walking.

“You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig,” he said to an outburst of laughter and applause from his audience in Lebanon, Va., Tuesday. “You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change, but it’s still going to stink after eight years.”

Haven’t you all notice pictures of NObama posted by CNN, Drudge and other websites look scary? When he was darling of the media, all his pictures look sharp, a real hottie, wallstreet type you want to go out for a date. The pictures they’re using now all over the internet, he look like a thug in a third world country trying to convince people to listen to his bullsheit. Even pictures of Biden look depressing, its like he is talking to his self, the same with NObama.
His campaign donors are holding on to their money, I mean only a fool would donate their hard earn money who is about to lose. The news coming out especially his financial problem makes NObama looks bad, real bad. His campaigners use of threats and intimidations including nutjob done by his supporters and paid bloggers is not working anymore; the people become immune to it.
By refusing to accept public funding like McCain, NObama is now force to spend MORE TIME raising money than campaigning while McCain with money from our national treasury is totally freewheeling, campaigning in every state of the Union and not worry about money. McCain and RNC has $300 million at their disposal while NObama and the DNC are twisting arms of their trailblazers to deliver the money!

I saw that on fox too, did anyone else??
#474 bruce55555, I saw Hillary last night also and I felt very sad that the DNC continue abusing her. So I went on CNN web site and wrote:”Obama should clean up his own dirt, DON’T use Hillary again, it’s too late. Obama and his angry wife should think deep how to be proud of our country.”
$677dPumaPal…”Careful only fight the battles that are real?..His attack is entirely within the realm of normal politics?,,I think not. Normal in HIS brand of politics unleashed for 10 months….If that is your normal, then either by osmosis, choice or breathing his air, you have swigged in more koolaid than you can handle.
I would lay odds that McCain will care more about Hillary’s supporters (18 Million) before and after the election.
The only thing Obama cares about is the power he and all his thugs will have if Obama is elected president.
After that last insult by Obama. I am going to beat his picture with my shoe!
#680 A-Will you need to take that upstairs and repost that now..
Hi everyone. I’m Joe, I love your site. I don’t know if you saw the 11th Way that NO plans on winning women’s vote, so here it is:
Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin’s new “change” mantra.
“You can put lipstick on a pig,” he said as the crowd cheered. “It’s still a pig.”
Wow.

Uh, it’s “You’re stupid”, not “Your stupid”. Considering the subject matter, such little distinctions are important.
After reading today’s blogs just now, I have to comment.
For all of you who are considering staying home and not voting, and for those of you who are voting down-ticket, but not for top’o Ticket/McCain, let me offer this advice:
If for any bizarre reason ‘O’ and the DNC manage to squeak- a- win this November, I personally will NOT have that on my conscience. My vote against ‘O’ MUST count.
I never want to experience any inkling of hindsight, or that all too familiar “if only I had..” “shoulda, woulda…” thoughts on this one. You know folks, we’ve all experienced those at some point in our lives.
And this election is too important.
I’m 110% aware of Pac Rules & Regs. And Murphy’s totally correct to state them on a daily basis. But as she also said somewhere earlier on tonight’s blog, the only way to really make sure “O” loses is to vote McCain/Palin –then down ticket to Dems. And I stand behind that strategy.
I apologize to some of you in advance who disagree.
But what I know to be a fact is, that the day after or throughout the next 4 years (godforbid), I won’t have any of those haunting “coulda, shoulda’s” to deal with.
Michelle’s alpha-male status
What I object to is not that Michelle might have some influence over national politics. It’s that she pretends not to. Oh, she’s just a mother, not a feminist. Riiiight. And oh no, she doesn’t want power publicly, legitimately. That means the power she assumes will be private and manipulative, the leverage that comes from flattery and the threat of withholding sex, the iron fist in the velvet glove. That’s what happens when you don’t acknowledge the legitimacy of women in public life. They will assume power all right, but where the sun doesn’t shine.
Why did Obama run for president in earnest this year and not just to put his hat in the ring for name recognition or the VP slot as a normal politician who was a first term junior senator would have? Michelle said she would never agree to “go through this” again. It was this year or never, she said. Was she listened to? Much has been said about Michelle’s hating Hillary. Perhaps Michelle was also behind his decision not to vet Hillary for VP. Obama has always been a pragmatic, intelligent, and competitive politician–but would he want four years of nagging and I-told-you-sos on the home front every time he had a conflict with his VP?
