For all PUMAs, it has been a week of excitement, anticipation, disappointment, anger, tears, frustration, surprise and uncertainty. We all need time to evaluate our positions on a very personal level, but let us not forget that it is Democracy we are fighting for.
Of the people, by the people, for the people.
Tonight we take a step away from the politics and platforms to reflect on our journey and our success in Denver.
Let’s step away from the partisan party and celebrate what we, an extremely diverse group of patriots, accomplished in the name of democracy.
Share your stories from this week. What media bite was your favorite from PUMA coverage in Denver? Where were you during the roll call? Who were you with? What shocked you the most? How did your friends and family react to YOUR reaction? Were you in Denver? Who did you meet? What did YOU do in Denver? Insert your story here.
Much love,
Maryland PUMA

Careful . . .As Murphy says “Be wonderful to each other ” With Gustav and the travesty at the convention, all of us are on emotional overload. We need to support one another . .
Love it up hear Murphy . . .really sets the tone!

I want a really good bedtime story from you two, been in a really funky mood today.
Hey Go and Anti!
I know you have stories to share!
It was WONDERFUL to meet you in Denver.
Nice to see you arrived home safely.
Has anyone heard how Dr. Bledsloe’s relative is doing?
Hey!!!
Well, looks like Murphy also posted a thread.
Take it upstairs again.
I’m going to bed. Night all.
Hey Maryland. What a trip that was!
Wasn’t Harriet a pleasure to meet? She is the original Puma!

That post of Murphy’s isn’t formatted right! It’s hanging way off the right margin
#14 Maryland,
Hey! It was wonderful to meet you too. Wow! What a week, huh? The emotional ups and downs were enough to drive anyone insane! As disappointed as I am with the results, I still think it was all worth it. We let the world know we exist and we are not backing down. That in itself made the entire trip worthwhile.
Murphy has asked us about this last week…
I held Clinton Democrats parties for all three nights of the convention and it was great to get together. However, I was totallysurprised to get home at 4:00 on Wed only to find the nomination speeches beginning.
So, I sat alone and anticipated the nomination of hillary. My excitement turned into anger when her nominator had to freaking talk over rudely talking delegates and I KNOW I heard at least one booo while Hillary was being nominated. HOW DARE THEM.
Then obama was nominated with an opening line of “Im a small-town tennessee guy” and “as a lifelong registered republican, I nominate…”
I almost lost my lunch. Barack Obama had the AUDACITY to have someone start his nominating speech with “as a lifelong registered republican” This was the Democratic DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION. Not the I used to be a Republican National Convention. it was completely inappropriate and further added to my list of reasons why I do not believe “the nominee” is actually a Democrat. Then I continued thinking, this guy said he was from Tennessee AND a registered Republican. Suddenly, I realized, Obama’s nominating speech started off with a BOLD FACE LIE. We do not have party registration in Tennesssee!!!!! So, Obama had a former republican tell a lie for good rhetoric.
Then, began roll call…. I was shocked. 1 vote here, 3 votes there, 0 votes from Arkansas. I truly believed that they would realize that the road to unity went through having those delegates represent the voters who sent them there. It was a mockery and sham. I was so hurt and so angry and it solidified that i WOULD NOT be voting for a Democratic Presidential ticket.
That night, my friends and I had to get out and go get dinner at anywhere where there was not a TV. We all got dressed in our shirts that we got from 50 dollar donations. We went to dinner and decided that we did want to see Bill because we all LOVE bill and he had been so generous during the North Carolina and KY campaigns. So, we came back and watched him. We laughed, cried, and wanted him to just stand up there and give a long oration of why he’s so awesome. But, we were really reminded of the fun we had as 18 year olds working on his campaign in 96 and sort of re-living the 90s.
stupid teenagers and 20 somethings… Ringtones are one thing but NOTHING is as cool as your president blowing the sax on Saturday night live. Even Hillary knows Saturday night live is cool…
I watched the greek temple homage on Thursday and have not experienced any kind of tingling up my leg but I have had a perpetual headache since the Greek coronation. I MISS HILLARY!!!
Well, I guess if you want to get riled up, go upstairs.
If not, stay here?
LOL
Hi Goanderson, I live in California and I selected the non-affiliated/non-partisan option. There is also the American Independent Party.
My favorite time in Denver was the 18 million march on Tuesday. One of Hillary’s delegates participated and brought along a drum kit. It was amazing to see so many people participating – women and men of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. All wearing different styles of Hillary T shirts and buttons. Many people watching along the sidelines cheered us or actually joined in.
I was interviewed by the media several times. My partner in crime, Daddy’s Darlin’ (I have not seen her on the blog – I hope she got home safely) was also interviewed frequently. The minute we said Puma, we were surrounded by press. We laughed that we were professional commentators by the end of our trip.
I loved meeting all of the people that I knew by user name and hearing their thoughts and ideas in the flesh. It was really worth the trip.
Looking back, I also cannot help but think that much of the publicity surrounding security had to have been an attempt to dissuade people like us from making the journey. I know my group of friends opted not to go shortly before we were due to leave. In the end, it was nothing like we feared. The Police were great, the residents of Denver that I encountered were very, very nice and helpful.
Once again, I am so greatful to have found these Puma sites. What a wonderful way to share information with like-minded people. And look at the dent we have put in the corrupt DNC machine. We have more to do, but what an amazing accomplishment we have made so far.
Murphy, you were right – first they laugh, then they listen, etc.
Laurey4Hill
well darn… is no one here. I was finally second and wrote a story and no one is here….
I like it here, personally. Would love to here PUMA Denver stories.
thanks laureypuma….
I guess we’re gong to the free for all
probably better to hang out here overnight. I’ll reformat the comments for tomorrow.
honest to god i’m going to bed and i’m not going to get up until I damn well feel like it.
mp, love — great job — i hate not being yellow — so petty.
Good night Murphy. Sleep well. You deserve a good nights rest.
Sleep well Murphy. We worked an insane schedule plus dealing with all the baggage that came with it.
You deserve a good long rest.
Much love.
Nighty night.
I just posted Murphy’s comment on the upstairs thread so hopefully they’ll come back down here.
Keep the stories going. Share the success.
Two threads!!! No wonder I thought my computer got into the koolaid while I’m watching female bodybuilders on MSNBC right now. Is this where everyone is now?
Guess everyone went to bed.
They are upstairs Livingrace.
I just got a tab opened to check down here.

I was in the 18 million march as well, and the delegate drummer was a hoot! I didn’t get any interviews that day. I did on Monday as we marched down 16th. I was struck by the on lookers and expression on their faces. You could see the questioning in their eyes. WE made an impression and gave people a glimpse of what is really going on. So, with that, I believe we were successful.
It is always interesting and intriguing to meet people for the first time. I have made some new friends here and some comrades for the good fight.
The trip was exhausting though. I am still recouping.
I just want to say I love being a PUMA. It is so wonderful to have everyone here as a friend who believes just as I do. I came to the same conclusions before finding PUMA and I felt alone. But with everyone supporting everyone else we can succeed.
I see the hate mail. Hang in there. God is love and he love all of us very much. we are doing gods work by spreading the truth and freedom. Remember God is Truth and Freedom and Love. We are on the side of god.
Some day if we ever meet I want to give each and every PUMA a hug and say I love you and thank you for being a PUMA and supporting me by believing in everything I believe in so deeply.
WE ARE ONE…….
oh yes there is another equality God is ONE. Wow what a good group we are……
Go Hillary Go
I drove back to Chicago through South Dakota, and made it back in time for work. The first evening I listened to the convention speeches, including Bill Clinton’s speech, all the way through Colorado and Wyoming. Then a five hour nap in the car, a lovely lingering breakfast in the Black Hills, and a tedious drive through the length of South Dakota. There must have been a radio news blackout in that state on
Thursday cuz I could only pull in a religious station, a classical station, a country station, and two rock stations. No news at all until I hit the outskirts of Omaha. Did I miss anything?
Looks like I posted this on an old blog – so copying here.
For those interested in thorough discussions of sexism & feminist issues as relates to Hillary, politics, the media, Palin and the election – you may want to visit
http://guerillawomentn.blogspot.com/
In addition to their own blog, they provide links to other sites for Hillary and other sexism/feminist content focused sites. They also have an archive of the blog posts on the right – scroll down the page.
I only spent about an hour reading on the site, but in scanning it appeared to be a place that might be a good fit for some writing on this PUMA site who enjoy assertive debates on particular topics – especially social issues which are of high importance to feminist organization agendas.
Although I do sometimes welcome reading about others views on social issues, I primarily come here to PUMA to keep up with what others observe in the media and to learn about the PUMA strategies, plans, and efforts to respond to the DNC (especially Dean & Pelosi) plus to find out how we can keep BO from being elected in November. I like learning what other websites others have discovered or to hear about links to interesting reading/videos. I like to hear what others are doing in their own communities to promote the PUMA agenda. I enjoy reading the differing points of views on how PUMA (as a group or as individuals) should proceed and why.
Anyway – I ended up at the other site not specifically for the content – but I was looking for a particular graphic. When visiting another site HillaryGreenMountain.com, I was attracted to a graphic on the right side of the home page. It wasn’t just the words / phrase supporting Hillary (in fact several products out there have the same phrase) – but it was the colors & design which I really liked. So I did an Internet search until I located the site with those Hillary product designs and discovered it was a blog. The tag line on the products that attracted me said: Don’t Blame Me I voted for Hillary. One of 18,000,000
#895 jenniforhillary – I love your post. Echoes my sentiments exactly.
Glad everyone is back safe and sound and no one got arrested. A great BIG THANK YOU for representing us in Denver.
Okay. I am beat. I am going to bed. See all of you tomorrow.
Two threads – I feel like I have a split personality.
Murphy and all, I am glad eveyone is home safe. What has happened is still just so unbelievable that I am still trying to understand it. It seems like a nightmare..
well..guess I will say good night , too…good night gracie
Hey guys!
The girlfriend and I were watching Paul Gigot on fox just a bit ago and she is hopping mad.
A panel member mentioned that Sarah Palin had more executive exp then BO, Biden, or McCain and was also the only one with military commander exp from being in charge of the Alaska National Guard. Paul Gigot then said that Commanding the Alaska National Guard was hardly comprable to leading the 82nd airborne.
My girlfriend is former South Carolina National Guard and has received the National Defense Medal for her service during Desert Storm. She took this as a slap in the face of all National Guardsmen, many of whom are actively serving in the Middle East.
Any chance we can get a prowl going to tell Paul Gigot that National Guardsmen are serving their country and that he should show them more respect?

Goodnight Go and goodnight all Pumas. I too am totally exhausted.
Murphy, I hope that you have taken whatever steps you need to for your safety. That goes for your family too.
The posts you have shared above have me shaking my head. The are self-explanatory. They are vile and devoid of any reason. They define hate. The debate and examination on the issues needs to stay alive and well. We will not be able to have that if we become a country of one controlling party.
I decided after McCain choose Sarah Palin as his running mate to leave the Democratic party to become on independent. I hope to participate in the making of the New Democratic Party, but for now, I do not want to be associated with their mess.
Also, looking at J. Carville, I am going to buy a pair of PUMAs. It’s what I have been calling myself these days.
Thank you murphy and I hope that one day I get the opportunity to buy you a beer.
Maryland you have mail. I hope this post goes thru, none of my others today nor tonight have made it so far.
Did anyone see the ticker on CNN today that was reporting that while enroute from the convention on an airplane, Fowler was overheard laughing about the storm and wishing it to hit New Orleans when the RNC convention starts??? What a horrible man he is. Who the heck is he?
Maryland Puma did you get my email?
Murphy, I really need to talk to you.
Monday night, the 25th, when you had a rally and candle lighting to honor the 88 anniversary of women’s suffrage and also Hillary’s campaign, I was there in my heart. It was a sacred time for me, at 11:45 in the East. I lit a candle, and let it burn in my window for a couple hours. I sang “I Am Woman” to the words “I Am PUMA.’ I read the poem “arise” outloud. I sang along with “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” from the movie Iron-Jawed Angels. Then I watched the movie, again. I think I was up all night, honoring the occasion with thousands of PUMA’s.
Share your stories from this week. What media bite was your favorite from PUMA coverage in Denver? Well I enjoyed watching the blurps about PUMA! Although I didn’t watch most of the Convention coverage. I was too depressed to watch it all. I did watch a good deal of the roll call, though again, not all of it. It made me too darned mad!
Where were you during the roll call? I was at home.
Who were you with? My Boyfriend.
What shocked you the most? How Phony it all was. Like the media kept saying it was a dramatic show. A drama! Then the fact that all those states delegates voted pittance to Hillary and vastly to Obama. That is NOT true! She had more delegate votes than that! The whole thing was a Sham!
How did your friends and family react to YOUR reaction?
Well, my mom (who is not an avid or active voter -yes I have tried to get her to) said she was unhappy with the treatment of Hillary. So, she definitely agreed with my reaction.
Were you in Denver? No! I wish I had been able to go, just be able to support the PUMA’s!! You rock Murphy!
Who did you meet? N/A
What did YOU do in Denver? N/A
Favorite Denver Memory #1:
The surprise of realizing our Monday destination ended up being in front of an msnbc stage.
Hearing the spontaneous chants that arose (help me out here, folks):
* Who is the smart choice? “Hillary, Hillary!”
* Who won the popular vote? “Hillary, Hillary!”
* We ARE change! We ARE change! We ARE change!”
* Caucus Fraud! Caucus Fraud! Caucus Fraud!
* Tell me what democracy looks like? A – “THIS is what Democracy looks like!”
* Let the delegates vote! Let the delegates vote!
* & of course, the spontaneous eruption of “Sexist pig! Sexist pig! Sexist pig!” when Chris Matthews stepped out, lol…
reposting
Favorite Memory #2: Also enjoyed the van ride to the stage on Monday & the interview w/that Denver Post reporter. Note, she interviewed all 8 of us but her story has yet to print. Repressed media? LOL…
reposting
Favorite Memory #3
Watching Hillary’s speech w/all the other PUMA’s plus others at PUMA hdtrs Tuesday nite…before-which I laughed with joy upon realizing Murphy’s Great Planning in stocking several ice chests with Corona’s beforehand..
going to make a nice strong Cosmo, BBL…
won’tbackdown,
if you’re still on, I have a lot more stories…
hi hillstheone
lol that was to funny. MSNBC and the crazy bots
Elaine, I too lit candles Monday evening. I never have candles as I am too afraid of the fire risk (ex-Volunteer Firefighter here) but I just had to have them, so went to Provincetown near where I was vacationing, and found two perfect ones at the grocery store. So I had my fine wine, and candles, in solitude by the sea, many thoughts moving through my head and heart about our times and our movement…
pulled up the blog later on my phone and saw that I had somehow had a memory of this event where it went subconscious in the days leading to my separation from reality (basically a forced vacation for rest and recuperation). I missed Denver, so so important for our movement, but I was there in Spirit. I blacked out the news, and got to snips here and there of the blog on my phone, because there was only ATT 3 G network, and no wireless signal for my laptop except at the library and I just could not motivate there… guess thats why they call it vacation. I got down to the first beach I visited on Sunday, when I got my chair, my sun parasol up, grass mat on the floor, sand and sea and sun at my feet, big floppy beach hat and sunglasses and a big scary sea. I used to be very good in the ocean, but Cape Cod waters are hardcore. I got very tired out just going in for a dip, and I stayed only on lifeguard protected beaches ~ the National Park lifeguards were pretty gnarly, not letting you do anything interesting
But I respected that sea shore there. Not mellow like the New Hampshire seashore I used to live on.
I topped the week off with a Whale Watching trip, saw a lot of Humpbacks doing very interesting things. They were spouting all over the place near and far. And one of the ones spotted by her tail, is PUMA, unknown sex, who showed up in 97 I think the naturalist said.
It was so great to meet you all and i hope and pray we all meet again
My big thrill was that i did 8 news interviews
freddiebrown…sisters forever
I am scared pumas, really scared. We must fight now harder than we ever have. I am taking tomorrow off to think and I am going to email Murphy.
They want this one really bad, and we need to fight like HELL to win….
for hillary, for us, for america…
for what is right, for justice, for our children…..
I will NOT sleep until BO is defeated and his agenda is ground into the dirt like the filth it is….
hi sandi!
Who did you interview with?
My favourite evening was the 25th and the lighting of the candles…..Cheesman Park was a beautiful Park and Sahara was there with a Geru and the movie was great
ok first one was with the Austria news media then the German news
sandi,
no kidding, I LOVED that night. But, got chills (teeth chattering), it was weird at that altitude & my body temp kept fluctuating! Had to go lay down in Mary’s nice rented van. Mary, are you on tonight?
Anyway, beautiful candlelight service for sure…
Then Denver channel 4 news then the Denmark news
trying to remember oh then the Italy news media then France lol
then two local newspapers
My Most Surprising Moment
I was standing waiting at the train station w/another PUMA for the rest of the PUMA pack to arrive. A black woman suddenly approached me w/a sign that said “Bill Clinton met with Rush Limbaugh,” and yelled: “Did YOU know that Bill Clinton met w/Rush Limbaugh?” and then marched off before I could answer to her face (stealth attack mode, I guess).
However I hollered to her back, “Probably because he knows Rush Limbaugh has MORE than enough bad information about Obama to sink the Democrats in the Fall!” duh…one look at Rush’s website you know the Democratic Ticket is dead in the water.
Yes it was and i miss everyone and i felt bad i couldn’t walk the march so i stayed in bed. I was afraid of having a heart attack
Topic: Media interviews
The media were EVERYwhere, and lOOking hard for us PUMA’s, lol! I would not agree to interview with ANY mainstream media w/the exception of the Denver Post.. Who, we can see, still have not run the story the reporter wrote who intervieweed EIGHT of us in the van!
I also interviewed with a journalist from Belgium, a news crew from Canada (“Oh Canada!”) and a news crew from Japan. As well as a short couple of questions with a reporter from a local alternative newspaper. The Canadians came & found me at the 18 million march.
And NPR came & filmed at PUMA hdtrs the night of Hillary’s speech.
I am so happy that Mccain picked Palin shes strong and you know that before Hillary came to Denver she was with Mccain for 4 days
sandipuma,
I hope the reiki helped you a little bit. A little bird whispered your name to me early one morning & then you came in to PUMA hdtrs soaking wet & not feeling well that afternoon, that was interesting!
I was hoping for an interview with the Canadian Press as i was born there and raised
Repost, Thursday August 28
TOPIC: Caucus Fraud
Will someone please REPOST this comment every day for the next 7 days. That way newcomers can see it is REAL.
~~~
Testimony: At our hotel yesterday a black woman delegate from Texas told us that she observed Caucus Fraud. She very matter-of-factly stated that at the request of the Obama campaign workers, the Obama votes and Hillary votes were separated into two lists. And very matter-of-factly added that this was done so that the Hillary votes could be thrown into the garbage.
goanderson, antifish, and I were all there and heard these words from the mouth of a Delegate. A delegate, I might add, who seemed not the least worried about it; Obama was just about to be crowned, after all…
~~~
Will someone please REPOST this comment every day for the next 7 days. That way the media & any newcomers can see it is REAL.
Not that the media will do anything about it, they slept while we invaded Iraq, after all… _but_, we can always HOPE, right Obama??
We _do_ have the audacity to hope…
sandi: They were so visibly relieved when I said yes to their interview, and then I told them I had just visited BC & Victoria, & how much I love Canada and Canadians…
I thought i was going to drop dead lol but there is nothing i wouldn’t do for Hillary. You were all so sweet to me and i was so happy to be there
I have two sons in Canada
Oh, Sandi, I am sorry you were not well there. It’s the reason I could not go… shaky health. I was shaky on my mellow vaca at sea level, and cannot fathom the torque that altitude applies to someone not accustomed. I grew up a mile high in the mountains where the pumas prowl, the altitude might not have been so harsh for me, my lungs and heart grew and were conditioned at that altitude. ;D I’d not be able to march, or get penned up with anarchists and marxists and maoists. And I don’t think I can party that high up and get drunk… not that I ever did anything shady like that ;D
My worst moment:
My worst moment was when I realized the rollcall wasn’t going to have a floor fight as I’d expected. And that Hillary wouldn’t make a surprise win at rollcall. I still believe she will pull a rabbit out of the hat before November but that surprised me. So my worst moment was when I got back to my hotel room and laid down on my bed and just cried. That was a dark night of the soul, for sure…
Oh, this is better, you’re all down here!
I just posted this on the upstairs thread, love and hugs to all
goodness gracious, have we struck a nerve or what?
I just got home, it’s 1:42 am, logged in, and wow, but not surprised – there’s some heavy duty hatred out there, sadly encouraged by Barky and MObarky.
Shouldn’t he and the DNC be encouraging people to approach presidential elections in a civilized manner?
Sure there’s negative and very negative advertising and all, but not threats and all that baloney, it’s uncalled for!
What do they think they’ll accomplish?
The DNC and Barack Obama needs to speak out against all that immediately.
Murphy, please take care, be careful, you and your family, and please remember I appreciate you and am thankful for you.
The oldest is moving here in December as he dosn’t want me alone anymore and we are close. He was in the armed forces for 22 years and now has the start of stem cell desease
sandi- it was HOT there, we PUMA’s weren’t expecting that, LOL… I do think we were well-prepared with lotsa water & vitamins & the locals were so nice to us.
The locals only wanted the visitors for their $$ cause they definitely didn’t like Obama!
oh Sandi I was thinking about you, hoping you’re well, I remember you said you went to the doctor and not feeling well before Denver,
Please take care!!!
hi bruce5555
sandi, sorry to hear about your son…
Was Murphy threatened again????
sandi- see next page (“freeforall,”) she posted a large sampling of the types of ignorant hatemail she is getting…
thank you Bruce he is 6 ft 4 and a strong man but suffers a lot of pain but tries to hide it. He is 3,200 miles from me and the doctor called him and he is moving here in a few months. I guess the doctor said things i don’t know about me. But it will be so good to have him here with me
79 hillstheone
interesting!
How about I email it to Geraldine Ferraro, I can’t think of anyone else right now, 2 am, my mind screeching to a halt, can’t think of anyone who’d do anything about it?
Hello sandipuma.
The bots are going bezoinkers over at BBC website’s comments, too funny, surprisingly equal number of people are praising Palin too.
Jenni, when we fight, I want you on one side of me, and New Orleans on the other, with asian4hillary covering our backs she knows the political tricksters in the other countries when we never thought it could be coming here, to caucuses and national conventions near you. Anytown USA. Yeah, Asian has got our back! ((((((PUMA)))))))
Oh my goodness that poor girl i will go look
bruce55555 on 08.31.08 at 1:58 am
Barky’s tribe is an offshoot of Odinga’s. This is not racism, I am already a racist anyway. This is facts of life in Africa, how you steal power and democracy and chop and burn people alive if they are in the opposition or christians.
hi MadLogic BBC ??
hi bruce,
Ferraro sounds good, I just posted a suggestion on NPR’s website, too.
I think we should blog everywhere about the Caucus Fraud, including Associated Press, USA Today, FOX news, Air America, NPR, and McCain’s website.
BBC ‘have your say’ comments, never have so much response, normally the web-savy obots out number everyone, but Palin has equal praise with anti-palin comments from bots.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/talking_point/default.stm
Denver memory:
Another fun memory is how friendly the local cops were. They must be Hillary supporters, smile.
A slapstick moment occurred at the airport. goanderson sat down too fast & hit the back of her head real hard on the wall. Ouch. We both thought of “headclunker” who posts here, & laughed…
Another fun moment was when Crenshaw led all of us in chants about “the DNC won’t bully me” while we were waiting for Hillary’s speech to start at hdtrs…
I bet OB camp are now thinking to themselves “Perhaps we should have gone with the Roman Colosseum instead.”
TOPIC: NPR
You can post a suggestion to do a story on Caucus Fraud by Obama camp here:
http://www.npr.org/contact/
When you post your comment, remind them (shame them) how the Press let down the American people by not reporting on Iraq until it was too late.
Love all your Denver stories-moments.
madlogic, you made me laugh, thanks. ;D
p.s. did you know “Invesco” rhymes with “Rezko,” haha…
#105 hillstheone.
It is good to laugh after the past few days of saga. The highs and lows.

so sad but it’s true, we see it on the news so often!
just talked to a friend of mine for the first time in 2 weeks. Her first words to me were “I’m voting for McCain”
Im just like, wow. I know everyone here is a democrat but when you HEAR someone you KNOW for a long time who is so adament and up front about it, it’s really amazing.
MadLogic, OK I’ll keep going.
Then there was this HUGE Recreational vehicle appeared on the second-to-last day & parked by headquarters. On the side was a HUGE beautiful mural depicting a PUMA on a rock, and it was painted on top of a waving American Flag.
It was owned by people w/the Confluence, I believe…shoulda taken a pic, I’m sure somebody did.
Good night all!
my friend works in D.C. and is totally convinced that HRC has been promised a supreme court position if Obama wins.
UGH… Iknow I know supreme court… but I just don’t want to see the warrior sitting in a black robe withering away.
#108 Dem4Hillary.
What the DNC leaders and the MSM did to Senator Clinton voters were suffocating, and now they are letting out a big burst of steam saying “NO MORE” and are willing to vote for Senator McCain. I am from AUS, yet I can see the bias all the way over here.
Night Bruce!
Australia… awesome country. I was there 10 years ago running around on no money and had a great time….
#109 hillstheone.
I think I saw that bus on Confluence site, it is so wonderful to see the passion of Pumas. Do you know if Australian media interview any Puma?
Another Denver moment
Another great moment happened after the march to msnbc stage was over. It was HOT as BLAZES out, so after about an hour (?), we started walking towards downtown towards a Starbucks. We attracted lots of conversation from locals, & cameras from media & tourists, along our walk.
When we got to the designated Starbucks, mamapuma said “just sit down and rest your weary puma paws and cool off.” Since we had all left our purses back at hdtrs I didn’t have any money. Some nice woman I never saw before or since bought me an iced Americano. WOW I never tasted anything so good as at that moment.
“Thanks, you good PUMA, you! You-know-who-you -are.”
The next morning at 4:30 a.m. I woke up. Something woke me up, what was it? It was all the chants still echoing in my mind! I got excited again & never fully fell back asleep, silly PUMA…
#114 Dem4Hillary.
Did you stop by Melbourne?
madlogic,
I don’t remember about Australian media, although they must have been there. I was given a t-shirt that says “Hilary” on it (misspelled) & the tag says made in Australia, lol..
madlogic,
“What the DNC leaders and the MSM did to Senator Clinton voters were suffocating, and now they are letting out a big burst of steam saying “NO MORE” and are willing to vote for Senator McCain. I am from AUS, yet I can see the bias all the way over here,”
Great summary!
#118 hillstheone.
It can’t be, can it?
nite-nite, Bruce5555…
madlogic, yes it’s really true, I saved it as a collector’s item, lol…

Growing up, President Clinton was very popular here so i was excited to have Senator Clinton be the first woman US President as well, and thought logically she is the most accomplished so she has the best chance to go up against Senator McCain, but no, American idol format got into the election as well, grrrr!!!!
madlogic:
I was in Melbourne. My friend lives there. I spent about 2 weeks there.
i’m back i read it all. Wow i’m worried about Murphy and her family.
#124 Dem4Hillary.
That is great, small world.
madlogic,
you are very a very perceptive person, that about sums it up.
sandi, I was wondering where you went! Disturbing comments, but to be expected. There are 2 reasons for it:
1) people like to simplify things, &,
2) people are ignorant.
Murphy does a great job & doesn’t sweat the small stuff.
yeah and its actually my friend’s bday today… I’m glad you said something… I just went to give her birthday greetings on facebook…
I think i also accidentally sent her a hillary gift, too… Oops.. hehe, oh well.
Thats allright i am more angry than ever now and when i am angry i get so i can’t stop writing letters. Yes i am so amgry i have to do something. I will start right away and i will not stop. I have to do something that i can’t say. I think we will get help that is needed. Those e-mails are nothing to what Murphy is getting at home and it has to be terrible for her and her family.
sandipuma,
you should go on this website tonight & request some REIKI healing. It’s energy work & can be done long-distance, it’s free & might help you:
http://www.reiki.org/GlobalHealing/reikirequest.html
#128 Dem4Hillary.
Good for you. It’s great to travel and meet people over the world and keep in touch. It is wonderful to know all Pumas on here too
#129 sandipuma.
Doing something at this hour?
Ok i will but i do have some people to talk to and i can’t say who .
no not in person but a few letters yes.
I have a few numbers i can call 24/7 and they are here for me. I can not say more i don’t trust anyone readingor rather lurking
#134 sandipuma.
Oh, I’m relieved, phew!!!
I know this doesn’t mean much, but I just found out something. Obama spoke for 47 minutes…. The Clintons got collectively about 10 minutes longer than obama. HA!!! Awesome. Bill was originally only supposed to have 8 minutes and he took 25. Well done Bill.
That’s good sandipuma
Denver Memory (#5? lost track of the numbers)
On Tuesday I & a friend from Portland attended a luncheon held by womenvote at which Hillary spoke. Again it was quite hot out, and the luncheon followed the hotter-than-blazes 18 Million March, as well.
Hillary spoke and Chelsea was with her. She primarily spoke about the political process & women’s issues, and never mentioned Obama’s name (as the newsclip reported).
Anyway when it was over the crowd applauded but I did not feel it was loud enough. So I started chanting “Hill-a-ry! Hill-a-ry!” and it quickly caught on. Soon the whole place was rockin’ and when we were done, Hillary was just beaming and she said “we need to harness all that energy for an alternative energy source” or something to that effect.
I like to think the crowd there just helped psyche her up for giving that big speech to all her supporters, and to all her JUDA’s, that nite, haha…
Oh I love that world peace pendent i saved the site.
#137 Dem4Hillary.
Palin has made everyone forget about that 5 million dollars convention sham already, whuuuaaaaa!!!!
Dem4Hillary: Like anybody is going to cut off Bill, hahaha! That man may be long-winded, but he’s so damn smart, as is Hillary.
They run circles around the rest of the crowd…
Hillary wore the orange pant suit for us and in her speech she spoke to us. The part about keep running if you hear the dogs keep running and so on. That is for us if you listen and watch her eyes.
sandi, glad you looked at it. Someone actually put markers on the north & south poles & Reiki practitioners (“lightworkers”) send REIKI to those places all the time to try & help the planet out…yeah I know it sounds freaky but it’s real!
Whenever I send REIKI there I got a real nice feeling back from it. REIKI is an ancient healing art & modern day miracle at the same time…
hillstheone, you made me laugh…
hillstheone.
Were there a lot of Obots in Denver early on, or just at the last day at the stadium?
she wants us to keep going, and Bills speech was only partialy his own. They wouldn’t let him give his own but he added to it some of his own. They did good.
madlogic: I believe the correct term about the $$ is,
“BBBBBwaaaaahahahahaha!!!” ;D
I truly don’t know if I’d take the orange pants suit all the way to “orange revolution” (I think that’s up to interpretation) but as a party partisian, it is truly amazing she did not wear blue. It is definitly a statement.
Carville cracked me up all week. Those PUMAs had to be for the PUMAs. He knew what he was doing…
I met him, actually hugged him about 3 months ago.
madlogic,
oh my gosh, there were Bots EVERYWHERE. We were SURROUNDED by bots. Thank God for the locals!
Even when you got off the plane, at the airport there were Obama signs & buttons everywhere. That is why people FLOCKED to us, they were so SICK of it.
Not many of us stayed till the last day, I know I didn’t.
hi Dem,
What did Carville say, actually?
there were obots everywhere but i was surprised at the amount of Nobamas that were there. I saw them near town in the park and on the bus and that one park by the begining of the town mall there were so many nobamas
Carville is a champ, suits with Puma’s sneakers, hehehehe!
I met him at our county party dinner. He talked mainly about why Democrats have to be in the white house. It was not a hillary speech.
He was great, though.
I read an article on the CNN website that Palin was booed on the campaign trail today, when trying to thank Hillary Clinton for breaking trail.
Anyone want to assist me in going to the McCain site to make it known, they need to respect Hillary, if they don’t want to start losing support? Wether or not they dislike Hillary, McCain supporters need to acknowledge Hillary paved the way for Palin to be so easily accepted.
you guys know that Obama had breakfast with Rev Wright, Al Sharpton and Rev Ottus and yet he says he benounced so see how he lies and the news says nothing.Just one in Denver brought that out on the radio
Had to ask because I was thinking that the trip to Denver would of cost quite a bit for young Obots, and 70,000 Obots would be a real waste of money to travel.
what site you going to
gina,
Yes I saw that same article, but guess what else I noticed about it. Under the “post a comment” section?
They had ONE post, and it was dissing Palin. Then it said “Comments for this section are CLOSED.”
So phoney baloney, honestly.
CNN – you’re a “Big Nothing” to so many of us now!
You belong in China, you are so suppressed & biased.
that breakfast was thursday morning
sandi,
I had not heard that about Rev Wright, or Rev Wrong, as Crenshaw calls him, lol…
#155 gina613.
Could be Obots disguise as Repubs that made the boos.
ah, the young bots that are attracted to Obama have plenty of income. It would not have been a problem.
http://www.johnmccain.com/
I think this is his official website. There is an area to blog and I am trying to join it under the name sagepuma
Yes we were going to breakfast before leaving and were driving to restaraunt and the commentater from the news announced it. We all screemed and cussed a little lol
ok i will go in
sandi, was Oprah there too?
TOPIC: McCain’s callout to women
…from his website:
There is only one candidate who has answers to the most basic concerns facing women voters. John McCain will ensure security and opportunity for American families: health care security, economic security, and security from threats abroad and at home.
It takes more than a speech to give answers to American women, it takes a plan and John McCain has one. LOL…
Thanks for letting me know. I was planning to join anyway just to see what his supporters are thinking and how they feel about us.
Question: has anybody heard anything at all about this supposed meeting between Clinton & Rush Limbaugh?
gina, his supporters love us…reminds me of another Denver memory, can you stand one more, lol…
There is a woman who I thought for the past 27 years was my friend; our sons grew up together. Because I am a member of PUMA and will vote for McCain, she says that I am a racist, a nut, and that PUMA PAC is a hate group.
Because of my “former” friend’s comments, I believe more than ever that we have got to stick together. We need to stick together with a goal, and that should be to make it socially unacceptable to discriminate against women by words or actions. Just like it is socially unacceptable to discriminate against any other group of people, i.e, gays, blacks, people with handicaps, etc. We need to focus and come together as never before. If we can do that, I believe we can be seen as legitimate and taken seriously. It will give us power.
I also belong to a meetup group representing 18 Million Voices/Rise Hillary Rise. My group is concerned that we will loose track of one another. What can we PUMAs do to help my group and every other group out there?
Where did you hear Rush and Hillary are meeting?
off-topic but it’s late. I was shopping tonight & the nicest lady showed me all the new (& old) perfumes. A new one that is kind of nice & light is called “Eternity Summer,” and oldie-but-goodie was Lair de Temps (sp) and Vera Wang’s classic I thought was nice, too. She gave me a ton of samples…I love Macy’s! Never even cared for shopping until I went to Macy’s once in NYC (any NYC Puma’s online?) Wow it was like a total conversion, I’ve cared about clothes ever since, lol… Go, Macy’s.
Hey, maybe we can have a PUMA entry in this year’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, LOL…
I have not heard about it Hill, probably just rumour.
hi gina,
Well, it was interesting. I’m kind of intuitive, as you may know. So a couple weeks ago I hear a little bird say “Rush Limbaugh.” So I went online &googled him & up came his site. Lo & behold, everything he’s got on there about Obama are the EXACT same things we here on PUMA blog have all found out about him. All the same things in that #1 Best-seller, “Obama Nation.”
Then, while in Denver a woman came up to me, read post #73…
#171 hillstheone
Sure I’d love to hear it.
Terry McAuliffe was on Sean Hannity (really unbelivable but he was) on the night of Bill’s speech. My mother called me and told me that McAuliffe said that Obama has the nomination and that it is his time to accept his nomination and be responsible for his candidacy and to stop blaming the clintons for anything and everything wrong in his campaign.
Hannity apparently asked him if Bill would come on and McAuliffe said he didn’t know and then he asked if hillary would come on and McAuliffe said that was a real possibility. So, Hillary and Hannity may get together to do a show….
#172 stella49.
Probably best to repost your post in the morning when others are up, but I think the 3 M’s are exhausted. Other Pumas are reassessing their stance on voting in November as well, so many emotions to deal with.
in case you don’t know, Terry McAuliffe is the former DNC chairman, personal friends of the Clintons, and was a major leader in both Bill and Hillary’s campaigns.
great great guy. I met him October of last year.
gina613,
The last day I was there, I got separated from the rest of the PUMA’s. It was easy to get separated & we were constantly trying to avoid that, but what would happen is, one or another of us would get stopped by media and decide to talk to them, the others would keep going or just forget to look for that one PUMA.
So I ended up having to walk back to hdtrs, and I was all alone & dressed in a short skirt because it was hotter than heck out. Anyway I found myself headed towards this “iffy” neighborhood & I suddenly hear jovial voices behind me, and one guy’s voice says “Hey look, a PUMA!”
So I turned around and there’s 6 or 8 John McCain supporters enroute to who-knows-where, and I thought they were the same ones I’d seen in front of the Convention Center. So I said “Hey, I could USE an escort in this neighborhood,” and laughed.
Then they started courting me for my vote, and it was hysterical. They said “Well who are you going to vote for, are you going to vote for McCain??”
And I said “Well, probably not, but I’ll tell you what I keep telling all my friends. If you said to me, ‘You can have dinner with Barrack Obama, or with John McCain, who do you choose?” I’d pick John McCain!”
I told them how John McCain seems like a decent man with a conscience and like someone who would listen to you over dinner. Unlike Obama.
Those McCain guys reminded me of the kind of guys you might joke with for a fishing tip, or play softball with. You know I really liked this little moment as for me, it always feels good to find similarities between people than to search for differences…it was a fun & lighthearted moment.
just realized any DNC people reading my last post, they must be wetting their pants, lol…
hillstheone
great story.
Dem4, “McAuliffe said that Obama has the nomination and that it is his time to accept his nomination and be responsible for his candidacy and to stop blaming the clintons ,” about damn time…
hill, was there much unrest or peaceful in Denver from what you can see?
How did the Puma mock roll-call went?
Denver was peaceful overall, but there _was_ tension in the air, especially on the day before Rollcall. You could sense that nobody really knew for sure which way Rollcall might go.
thanks, did you had much hope for the roll call or just knew it was going to be a sham anyways?
TOPIC: Limbaugh
well, I found this online, Bill & Rush met back during the primaries. They met during the Texas primary.
“…news that former President Bill Clinton appeared on conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh’s show…on the day of the Texas primary.
If the story catches on, it will likely strike a decidedly sour note with many Democrats — and adds to the increasing instances in this campaign that anything will be done to get votes.
Even worse: the Clinton’s have not been easily accessible to some PROGRESSIVE talk show hosts such as Ed Schultz.”
HAR-HAR-HAR, Air America’s Ed Schultz was soo in the tank for Obama the whole primary season, why the heck would they bother talking to that guy.
However, what I thought I heard the black woman in Denver say was that they met RECENTLY. Probably false, although one can rather imagine they might have mutually beneficial reasons for discussing all the strange and unelectable traits of the selected candidate…if anyone hears more on this I’d like to know.
hill, I’m sure there were a lot going behind doors that the public don’t know. The tensions between the two camps are not good.
ROLLCALL
madlogic, the tension in the air on Wednesday was palpable, ask anyone who was there. Because honestly, how could you possibly predict WHAT the delegates would truly do, given the numerous scandals that plagued Obama (Rezko, public financing, the pastor(s), FISA vote, etc.) plus the fact the polls w/McCain were in a dead heat?
The one interesting thing (in hindsight) that might have tipped us all off, is that the mainstream media had by then gone from calling him the “presumed” nominee to “THE” nominee.
All the Obama supporters who saw us & buttons & our signs always had a look of alarm on their faces, lol…
im going to bed. Its been a good night… thanks everybodyl… I posted mostly on the free for all… but take care… Hopefully I don’t wake up for like 10 hours.
nite-nite, Dem, I need to hit the hay soon too.
Night Dem4.
Thanks hill for all your answers and wonderful stories, it will be a trip you’ll never forget I’m sure. I think i will log out as it is nearing dinner time.
nite-nite, madlogic, I’m going to check out the other thread & then go to bed.
It was great talking to you.

I’ve never received any ‘hate’ from it. In an effort to re-direct some of this hatred towards Murphy et al, I’ll post my email again. Yo BOTS: you can reach ME at Kerriwyn@Aol.com. I’m easily reviewed, have had that same email address for 15 years. I aint scared of you. You got some problems with PUMA’s? Get at me. Thanks for the links, Sandi! Love seeing our people in Denver. I know most of us wanted to be there and our thoughts and hopes were with you all. You represent well and we’re all proud of each and ever one of you.
wow. I’m so proud of our PUMA’s and I DO wish I’da been in Denver to lend our voice. However, the fight goes on and I do not intend on ditching this party, I’m sure there will be many other oportunities for me to stand up and declare that the DP has become corrupt and hope the represent myself half as well as the others in these videos.
I’m the 1,453rd person to sign this. They want a million. I’m going to post it here in hopes of helping that. Pass it on in the morning thread, if you would.
It’s to get Howard Dean removed as chair of the DP.
Go here and sign.

Rasmussen Report just out. It looks good.
Sunday, August 31, 2008 Email to a FriendAdvertisement
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday—the day before the Republican National Convention is scheduled to begin—shows Barack Obama ahead of John McCain by three percentage points both with and without leaners. That’s exactly the same edge Obama enjoyed a week ago on the eve of the Democratic National Convention.
This is the last day to save with summer rates for Rasmussen Reports Premium Memberships. Learn More.
Today’s numbers show a one-point improvement for McCain, but Obama still leads 47% to 44%. When “leaners” are included, it’s Obama 49%, McCain 46% (see recent daily results). Obama is now viewed favorably by 57% of the nation’s voters, McCain by 56%. Tracking Polls are released at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time each day and a FREE daily e-mail update. is available.
There have been significant changes in perception of John McCain in the two days of polling since he named Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate. Since then, 49% of Republicans voice a Very Favorable opinion of McCain. That’s up six percentage points from 43% just before the announcement. Also, 64% of unaffiliated voters now give positive reviews to McCain, up ten points since naming his running mate.
There has been little change in perceptions of Obama since his Thursday night speech and the Palin announcement (see trends and other recent demographic observations).
Palin herself made a good first impression and is now viewed favorably by 53% of voters nationwide. Her counterpart, Joe Biden, is viewed favorably by 48%. While Palin has made a good first impression, the more significant numbers will come a week from now after the nation has a chance to learn more about her.

I don’t know if anyone else caught this article dissing PUMAS done by a reporter the other day..

Morning everyone!
Happy to see that both threads are goin strong. Should help with the overloading of one thread!
Remember to stay focused – we continue our fight for democracy – of the people, by the people, for the people.
Storms intermittent from here on out today in my area so internet may be a little wiggy for me. I’ll be around – I have to make room for all the Denver goodies in my house so I can make them available to YOU.

Maryland PUMA
HA HA – I swear Murphy and I are psychically connected – last night we both posted threads at the same time and I just went to help her out by editing the Free for All thread and she’s editing it. Thank goodness for the warning on the moderator board. LOL
While watching the convention the thing that was most memorable was seeing Hillary stand with the New York delegation and say lets just quit voting and counting and call BO the winner.
I fin that extremely offensive on a number of levels. First she basically said, well hey the New York people, you know the REALLY important people, have had a chance to vote who cares about the rest of you. Let’s give this thing to BO and don’t the rest of you waste our time with your silly little votes.
Second of all it pisses me off for some reason to see Hillary with BO.
I think picking Palin was a smart move strategically, on a lot of levels. I also think we need to be alert to the attempts to portray her as “just” being a woman, as if she had no other assets or qualifications.
I find it especially priceless for Camp O to be jumping on her “lack of experience” as “dangerous” for someone a “heartbeat away from the Presidency”. Hmmm…. how about having the experienced person leading the ticket, and the country? Concept.
But it also goes to show a “lack of understanding” of tedious details like the 25th amendment to the Constitution. You know, the one that addresses filling a VP vacancy? How if the VP is godforbid called upon to take over the presidency, a VP will be selected to replace him/her? It’s kind of ironic that BO is counting on Biden’s experience on his own ticket… but seems to forget (conveniently) that if Palin were to become Pres, SHE would then have a VP.
I don’t know about you all, but I feel a bit more concerned about the qualifications on the top of the ticket which WILL 100% certainly be called to action, versus those of the VP who *may* need to serve, and again would HAVE a VP of his/her own.
Also amusing to hear the same people who defend O’s “experience” as community organizer and state senator downplaying Palin’s “mere” 2 years as Governor, and harping on how remote Alaska is, and how small the town she represented was. Alaska may be remote, but given its strategic importance (oil) she’s probably made more significant decisions than O has. Especially since a Governor can’t just vote “present”.
And on the issue of foreign policy experience, well… the O campaign taught us long ago that she just needs to go on tour for a couple weeks and that will take care of it. Oh and it could help to pick a VP with experience… oh wait! Her runningmate already has that base covered. Silly me.
But seriously– I think one of the most important things we can do right now regardless of how we feel politically or plan to vote is stand up to what’s happening AGAIN. They all want the narrative to be “Inexperienced WOMAN Palin chosen for being a WOMAN to appeal to WOMEN voters upset about how Hillary (did I mention she’s a WOMAN too?) was treated! Republicans think choosing a WOMAN will convince WOMEN to vote for them! [insert threats re: RVW here]. Do you want this inexperienced WOMAN to be a heartbeat away from the Presidency?” I think it’s the Democrats banking on us not being smart enough to come to our own conclusions. Won’t see that she is the only one w/ exec experience, that they are accusing her of the same stuff they defended O against… won’t look at how she actually (shock) lived up to campaign promises (ie reform). And we certainly wouldn’t read something so dull as the CONSTITUTION to discover that their argument about the VP and “experience” is pretty much moot since a new VP would be picked.
I just can’t get over O harping on the “experience” factor now. Priceless really. I’d liken it to the pot and the kettle, but I suspect I’d be accused of racism. So I’ll just say it’s a tad ironic.

Per hillstheone’s request, reposting this so it’s not forgotten:
Repost, Thursday August 28
TOPIC: Caucus Fraud
Will someone please REPOST this comment every day for the next 7 days. That way newcomers can see it is REAL.
~~~
Testimony: At our hotel yesterday a black woman delegate from Texas told us that she observed Caucus Fraud. She very matter-of-factly stated that at the request of the Obama campaign workers, the Obama votes and Hillary votes were separated into two lists. And very matter-of-factly added that this was done so that the Hillary votes could be thrown into the garbage.
goanderson, antifish, and I were all there and heard these words from the mouth of a Delegate. A delegate, I might add, who seemed not the least worried about it; Obama was just about to be crowned, after all…
~~~
Last night Antifish mentioned this poll which is bad news for the messiah. As would be expected, I don’t see it being reported by the biased MSM. It’s significant however to note that Zogby is deeply in bed with the messiah so it wouldn’t be surprising that they just didn’t do a press release on this one. LOL!

are my posts not making it through
Thank You normapuma for such wonderful comments on the blog.
Ladies let us hear your thoughts about this video, about Palin and what does it all mean. Just a few lines ladies if thats not asking to much.
http://countusout.wordpress.com/
I’ll be quiet now (really). All I can say is, if this represents the “future of America” we’re in big trouble:
http://politicalhumor.about.com/od/sarahpalin/ig/Sarah-Palin-Pictures/MsSame-MILF.htm
If that’s the change they’re hawking, I’m not buying.
My favorite part of the DNC Convention was the story about the Chris Matthews chant and Hillary Clinton’s Orange suit (definately not empty).
A Different Perspective on New Orleans
The prayers and support, of the Nation and beyond, are with the people of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast as Gustav approaches. Gustav is not expected to quite reach the category of Katrina, but the upgrades to the levees are not complete and may again fail. This time though, there is an evacuation plan being carried out and those without resources are not to be left behind. Evacuation of the flood zone is imperative.
I would not venture to interpret any religious meaning behind the occurrence of Katrina or Gustav and the RNC Convention, but to wish God’s protection for those in danger. The one thing that comes to my mind, that few may consider, is that New Orleans is the location of the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit (Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana) where our civil right have been trounced on for the past eight years by Bush’s Oil Judges.
I could not access this site or my gmail. Is there something going on? Still can not get into gmail.
Good morning everyone. Well, I finally made it home from Denver. I was on the flight from hell last night. As you can imagine, flying to Chicago, what I was surrounded with. But I proudly wore my PUMA t shirt and my braclets. The lady sitting next to me just had to start! She started talking smack of how McCain choose a veep with no experience …hmmmm I said ….she was a mayor and a Governor, obama has been a sentator for how long? She then tried to start with the “well she is under investigation in Alaska”…..hmmm…..I said, yes thats what happens when you go against the good ole boys…..misogyny, investigations, name calling….just a taste of what Hillary has gone thru. She shut for the rest of the trip, giving me dirty looks the whole way.
I walk into my house and see how disgutingly filthy it is after having let my housework duties slip away for the last several months….and of course leaving my husband alone for 8 days did not help. I really have to unwind from Denver…sort out my thoughts and emotions, clean my house and my mind. and harvest my out of control garden…..lots of work to do…and I just want to rest….oh well! I hope everyone made it home safely from Denver….It was so great to see and meet everyone in person…We have some wonderful puma family members!
Hi MAMA, MURPHY, MARYLAND, DANCES, SHERI…..YOU ALL DID A FANTASTIC JOB!
I want to thank each one of you that I had the chance to meet while in Denver. Each of you showed why Hillary is and always will be the best person to run for president (at least in my history). I thank you for your undying support and to the woman (I forget your name) who gave me the pin to give to Hillary, I proudly gave it to her on Wednesday at a luncheon. She had already released her delegates but I told her and Huma that everything happens for a reason. I am so happy that John McCain chose a woman to be his vice president. It just proves that Obama is a sexist egotistical man. I hope his campaign and people are ready to lose! Sarah is an amazing woman and will prove to break that highest ceiling. Thank you everyone for making Denver a more satisfying place. I saw the lot of you and couldnt believe how great you all were. I remember walking by the hoards of police and hearing several delegates say, Is this what democracy looks like? Thank you again for all your hard work and it was NOT in vain!
MARYLAND PUMA: Yesterday on my walk to the super market I stopped at may mailbox and found my post card from Denver . It put a smile on my face all the way to the market. I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to write and send that post card to little old (82) me.
I will always treasure it.
On the subject of Murphy…It is not only the tears that I have shed for horrible treatment that Hillary has received, but now I shed them for Murphy also. My heart also bleeds for the both of them I am consoled by the fact that you and Mama Puma are there to give Murphy strength and support.
My suggestion is that Murphy should never have to be subjected to the hate mails. Someone should be there to do a triage. The same for phone calls. It is more than evident that she is a very sensitive person and she needs to be protected from these hateful people so that she can have the strength, the courage and physical and mental health to keep her movement vigorous and successful. Thanks to you and Mama she doe have much of the support she needs.
BTW, your MOM was in good PUMA hands while you were away.
Ok now I am totally confused and lost I have been posting a page that seem to not exist anymore. It was the one that had all these nasty letters from people about us PUMA , where did it go???? There is somethings I was posting that I would like to copy over here (i guess) so I can get some help on a little project.
Murphy,
I’ve just finish reading all the invectives delivered by trolls you’ve posted. My first reaction was, “Jesus! They’re just like those people who supported the tyrant.” When I say “tyrant”, I’m referring to my old country. When people are following blindly, they’d slit their own throat without even knowing it. A bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or PHD doesn’t make a person streetwise or have common sense. I would have a person with common sense working for me than a person with bachelor’s degree anytime of the day. Education is good, it opens door for anyone to get out of poverty but it doesn’t give you common sense. Suffice to say, NObama supporters lacked common sense in that department.
A true democrat is a righteous person. which NObama supporters have failed miserably. Hatred, racial remarks, sexism, misogyny, bigotry; ALL of this CAN be credited to NOBAMA. NObama’s campaign are based on hate, it is no surprise for rational thinking people to see through his façade of “hope and change” which GWB also use in 2000 election against Bush. The democratic party have demeaned themselves to the extreme, a common man eking out a living cannot relate to them anymore. In fact it drives people away from them. Who wants to be affiliated with a party that spews blatant hatred against anyone who refuse to follow them? The word “civility” and morality is no longer in existence with the democratic party.
NObama true to his experience as community organizer, his ONLY experience; showed to the American people what his experience was all about; he’s an AGITATOR. Every speech he gave which people swallowed (not all) like vitamins you take daily, he dangles a carrot to his audience after he tears them down and make them feel he is the only one can save them from their own misery; that he alone can do the right thing for them, that he alone can change their life for the better; and those who refuse to follow him should received the worst treatment from his supporters. Those from 16 years old all the way to late 30’s will buy his rhetoric without dissecting every word he said and examining their selves closely. They expect the government to take care of them. In true democracy, man is responsible for his own well being, he is responsible what kind of path he choose in life. NObama is offering them gold, but they don’t know its GOLD PLATED.
NObama offers vague solution to EVERYTHING, he is into what’s “HOT ISSUE OF THE DAY”, very unprincipled in my opinion. When you listen to NObama’s speech without analyzing every word he says, you would believe he’s the Second coming of Christ. But if you’re a detailed kind of a person, you’d question everything he says with his preacherlike tone of voice. THE DEVIL IS ALWAYS IN THE DETAILS. When it comes to DETAILS, NObama is SORELY LACKING; but the dreamers and idealists couldn’t see that – they want a feel good stuff; for a brief period they wanted to forget they are RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN LIFE, THEIR OWN ACTIONS.
NObama is a true follower of Karl Marx, he is reciting Marxist ideology in every speech he gave all the way to his HOLLYWOOD CONVENTION. There is ONE WORD to describe NObama’s acceptance speech in Invesco with his fake Greek Temple – HUBRIS.
218 john – Great link. About the Redistribution of Wealth, it could not been said any better
I had a pretty good week, except for the sham of the roll call.
But I got to see Hillary at Count me In dinner on Monday night, at Women Count luncheon on Tuesday and managed to get tickets into the Covention for her speech on Tuesday night.
I am still sick to MY stomach about the outcome and have never been more pissed off and angry at the democratic party and Obama then I am right now.
Hey – here is a video of me (from reuter’s) talking about why I’ll vote McCain…
http://blogs.reuters.com/from-reuterscom/2008/08/26/inside-the-tent-hillary-supporters-and-puma-2/
I believe that every day from now until November when we see Palin (who is no Hillary), we will be reminded how STUPID the democratic party is for passing up the Greatest Woman candidate of all time and how Obama and his BIG ego passed her up for VP.
I say McCain/Palin 2008 and Hillary Clinton 2012.

I know that the Mayor of New Orleans has said “This is the motherload of all Hurricanes, this is the real deal”

I think they might be editing that thread because there were some format problems.
PUMA ALERT
We have two threads going – one a little more peaceful than the other.
Murphy is working on the formatting of the troll comments to make the Saturday Night thread a little more readable.
It’s been great because the comments are spread throughout the two threads and it gives people a pick of environment to participate in.
Feel free to have both open in separate windows.
Don’t forget to share your stories of this past week on this thread. It has certainly been one for the history books.

#230 cjv ok so I’m not going crazy or went to a time warp good. Well I will repost here then, on the disappearing post I was reading through all the post and came across one that really made me mad so I emailed all the networks to report on this, here it is and if anyone else feels as I do please feel free to write also. No one should find a hurricane funny or to their advantage.

Has anyone kept track of all the links to videos, articles etc that has mentioned or showed Puma’s in Denver. All of us that were there were to busy to keep track. It would be nice if we had links to videos, and newspaper articles scanned into pdf files so that we can all go over them. Anyone can you help in that area?
Just a Joke~~~~
Barack Obama was seated next to a little girl on an airplane He
Turned to her and said, ‘Let’s talk. I’ve heard that flights go
Quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger.’
The little girl, who had just
opened her book, closed it slowly and said to Obama,
‘What would you like to talk about?’
‘Oh, I don’t know,’ said the Obama.
‘How about What Changes I Should Make To America ?’
and he smiles.
‘OK, ‘ she said.
‘That could be an interesting topic.
But let me ask you a question first.
A horse,
a cow,
and a deer
all eat the same stuff – grass – .
Yet a deer excretes little pellets,
while a cow
Turns out a flat patty,
and a horse produces clumps of dried grass.
Why do you suppose that is?’
Obama, visibly surprised by the little girl’s intelligence, thinks
About it and says,
‘Hmmm, I have no idea.’
To which the little girl replies,
‘Do you really feel qualified to
Change America when you don’t
know shit ?
I told myself not to come here until tuesday….but I just had to…
His entire speech was a lie…from one end to another. I have read it and it speaks to another time, another person, another campaign. ANY pundit or political commentator worth his/her salt would have torn it up. NOT ONE DID. It would be like me, after 1 year of writing letters vehemently defining why BO is human filth, standing up at my temple and asking everyone to vote for him. People would need to check me into the mental hospital; instead, people clapped and said great speech.
Also, and this is a very important point, Mariane Wright Edleman, the founder of the Children’s Defense Fund and one of my USED TO BE HEREOS, pulled her support from her LONG TIME FRIEND, FELLOW WORKER (Hillary went to work for her after graduating thus doing REAL community service for years before taking a paying job) when Hillary voted for the workfare program which put a caveat into the social welfare program that said YOU HAVE TO GET A JOB TO CONTINUE TO RECEIVE WELFARE. Ms. Edelman said that was like SLAVERY and that these women should be allowed to have AS MANY CHILDREN AS THEY WANT, stay at home, and receive free housing, food, and medical for the rest of their lives. She even organized a MARCH ON WASHINGTON about 5 months ago with poor angry pregnant women where the likened the bill to slavery. MIND YOU this bill allowed them to receive job training, free child care, free bus to go to work, and free place to live and food until they got on their feet but this was STILL SLAVERY.
Ms. Edleman pulled her support of Hillary and then back BO. As did all the black leadership (mostly male) across this country because he promised them the same thing he promised her, MONEY (reparations)….I know the Edelman story first hand as she is PROUD to tell it and it was on NPR and I called and confirmed it with a Children’s Defense Fund representative. I have spoken to black female political leadership and they have confirmed the other….
BO has one agenda, and it is the destruction of this country. It has already started with the campaign….I don’t know what has been promised but we have been sold out by many….
I am truly scared, and I do not scare easily….
stay safe, and my SINGLE favorite moment of the convention was when hillary and bill received more applause than the bo/mo…

The difference between them and us lotusboy, this is NEW to them, but to us, it isn’t. We’ve both seen corrupt politicians like NObama that raped our country and people. To them, NObama is like a breath of fresh air, they have NO INKLING the likes of NObama is VERY COMMON in corrupt countries; you can’t throw a rock without hitting one of them. We have a huge responsibility to enlighten them before it’s too late. These people supporting NObama wanted a magic wand, an overnight solution – they’re living in DISNEYLAND.
Hey All,
So sorry for the confusion — I’ve revised and updated the post from last night. It is now safe to go back upstairs.
Big thanks, as ever, to mp for keeping things sane.
Today is a new and beautiful day Pumas.
Be wonderful to each other –
Take it back upstairs!

thank you for all the hard work you being doing
best wishes for you, your baby puma and your mama puma
I was posting on the site with the nasty spam letters, and it disappeared. Will it be back up again?????
Rasmassen:

I signed the Howard Dean petition.
With BONC….censorship will prevail…No New Democratic Party will be possible or ANY dissention to the Chosen One!!!!!
Please Protest vote this election.! NoObama spread the word!!!!!
THE ONLY TRUE PROTEST IS TO ELECT THE GOP! (vote down ticket to all worthy Democrats, if any).
Note: Up side….First WOMAN VP!
Can we call TV show “Clean House” for the DNC Party????Does anyone know their number???We can submit the DNC as the dirtiest house in the country!
Where was I when the roll call was taking place? Returning from one of our showings of Hillary support. People came up and asked for Hillary buttons. Delegates cheered us on. We heard how the votes were cast in hotel rooms and how threats were used to get bo the votes, how they were told by the DNC that if they didn’t vote bo “they were f***ed”, how the roll call was a sham. I was with two other lovely pumas when we broke from the pack and returned to the den, where they were listening to the roll call.
247 Asian4Hillary – One can put with ordinary corruption but when the media is completely biased and journalism is out the window and constructive criticism is not Michael Moore’s or Bill Maher’s cup of tea then I think that surmises a great deal.
While being committed to the cause of PUMA, I long for the media as I have known back in Asia and the international radio and TV broadcasts including BBC etc to help reach people the right way. I cannot count the number of hours I have heard the Voice OF America broadcasts and all others (canadian, german, british). Perhaps this is why we seem to have a more objective view and distinguish one from the other. I am trying to emphasize this here so fellow PUMA can visualize our well roundedness in world order, environment and human wellbeing. Keep your good work!
Can someone help with a video, getting tons of emails asking to make a video with a certain song. Can anyone help?
LOVED THIS FROM THE POST ABOVE… PUMA ARE NOT SUFFERING FROM BATTERED WIFE SYNDROME>>>>>
Obama Supporter:
If Senator Hillary Clinton was not in full force behind her party
she better be on her grind now more than ever! If she plans
to make another run for The White house (after Mr Obama’s 8 that is)
She just might have to deal with another woman running for the same
presidential ticket against her. She better get her rebellious, sour-loser,
party crossing cry baby supporters on The Barack Obama Program like RIGHT NOW!
Lady Warrior:
Ya know something?
I actually thought you were joking when you said this but I realized later you weren’t. What you said is, amazingly, what most Obama supporters actually believe is reality. How is one person with one vote: HIllary Clinton gonna (legally) force or coerce someone to vote for Obama?
Maybe she could arrange a mobstyle hit on one of us to send a point. You know when a bad guy walks in and has the gun to my head and decides for “whatever reason” to turn me around and shoot me twice in the chest instead because he’s so overwrought that he doesn’t want to mess up my face for when the kill is checked? Never mind… THAT would be illegal.
Perhaps she should try to silver tongue us and call us racist, lying, whining, bitches, whores, ridiculous, stupid, c*nts who should be “whacked off” or, at the least, have our right to vote taken from us – as Obama and his campaign and supporters have told us a million times.
Maybe she could tell us that we are irrelevant and we’re not needed in order for Obama to win.
Dang.. that could ALMOST win me over if he and the DNC Leadership hadn’t also advocated voter disenfranchisement and benefited from election fraud.
Anyway… sad to tell ya. Senator Clinton didn’t practice what she preached and she gave up or ran out of emotional steam WHILE THE DOGS WERE STILL BARKING. She was blessed and could at least see the Promised Land. . .
THE ABOVE HAD THE VIDEO WORDS FROM “I’M NOT READY TO MAKE NICE”
What I remember is how hard you all worked. You made signs, you marched, and marched and walked and walked. The amount of press there amazed me, I think everyone was interviewed multiple times. I think that at least 1/3 of Denver was press, very funny.
What I really want to say though is directed at Murphy and the leaders of PUMA. Great job. I hope that everyone realizes what kind of effect we have had on our country. Do you really think that the Republicans would have nominated a woman if it had not been for us? That’s really called change. As soon as McCain announced his new nominee, I knew that we mattered.
I’m impressed by all of you.
Hi Murphy, Dances!
Heading out for a day of R&R in the mtns w/my girls.
hill4pres: EXCELLENT reuters link, I went & blogged there, THANKS!
gocleffnote: damn straight. Murphy & mamapuma are great leaders and made our stay in Denver a lot more bearable. and FUN!
TOPIC: Georgia on my mind
Any PUMA’s from Georgia on today? Some of us are planning a little PUMA reunion to take place in Atlanta the week before Thanksgiving week!
If interested drop an email to mamapuma & she’ll forward to the organizers.
obama all hes has to offer is a phone call to the folks down there in the gulf awaiting GUSTAV

Murphy,
I fail to see the benefit of reading the dungeon dung that was posted upstairs. Was it to beget more negativity from the other side called pumas? To what ends, then, if so. What do you think would be a POSITIVE course of action for a puma after reading such nerve-grading commentary. I only see negativity as a result.
I’m an optimist and game participant in the human race who tries to get along with everybody, sane or otherwise, even when someone disagrees or uses prejudice of some kind to want to hurt me. When confronted by an opposing view or circumstance, no matter the style of presentation, one should either accept it, reason with it shortly or just walk away. Seek shelter with others who agree with you, but don’t engage someone in rage. The odds are not good in the temptation to proselytize an opponent. It mostly will lead to battle and consequences like stress or even physical violence.
You know the old saying, ” What you don’t know can’t hurt “. Well, it’s true and I would have preferred the comments of the trolls not be posted because it is not objective commentary. It can only make people feel uptight or down right pugnacious in return.
The prologue upstairs said it all, but I glanced at two comments anyway and wish I hadn’t because they didn’t give me any good vibrations. I then turned away and now feel much the same as before– happy, hopeful and understanding. No stress, no anger, no avenging mindset.
What I feel is my heart beating for action to a cause I wish to promote, not be distracted by taking arms to someone else’s WORDS I happen not to like for they are ONLY words and cannot hurt me.
Murphy, I’ve said it before and I’ll say this again about your role as a leader. You are new to the public theatre. Shit’s going to happen that you’ve never encountered before in your private life that you don’t like or understand. As your stature grows in front of the public eye you are going to get stoned more often then you know. You’ll need to expect the unexpected and to learn proper recourse from your experiences with the public. Those postings by so called “trolls” is normal behaviour in a public forum. You shouldn’t be surprised by it, rather inspired that the opposition fears you.
Objective thinkers should be welcomed to this blog. But I think it would serve pumas best if troll commentary were kept out of sight. They are meant to agitate and nothing more. And I’ve noticed it works very well at this site with a relative few. But thank goodness, most posters here are passionate yet tolerant of others.
The focus of PUMA, I do believe, is to put back real democracy into the Democratic party, which in turn will ensure a more fair treatment of Hillary Clinton should she decide to run again for president. That should be the focus, not bringing on the trolls. Otherwise the PUMA cause will stall and the same results from this DNC selection year will occur again in 2012.

I realize my comment is “awaiting moderation” so that means it will be deleted since I don’t agree. A little “Stalin-ish” but it would be nice to be proven wrong and my freedom of speech that has a dissenting voice will be allowed to stay and politely disagree.
