From Margery Eagan in The Boston Herald today:
DENVER – This is supposed to be Barack Obama’s convention. Yet it’s Hillary on the eve of her speech tonight – and dramatic film of her life – whom everybody’s talking about. Press, pundits, many of her 2,000 delegates flashing “women for Hillary” buttons like dope addicts desperate for a Hillary-centric fix.
Then there are the Nobama-at-any-cost squads such as PUMA, or Party Unity My Ass. It’s run by Darragh Murphy, ex-of Dorchester. Yesterday PUMA staged not one but two demonstrations here. They’re urging members to track down Howard Dean and Nancy Pelosi at their hotels (are they at the Sheraton or the Ritz with CNN’s Anderson Cooper?) If members do smoke Dean or Pelosi out, they’re instructed to leave this message:
NO SECRET BALLOTS! A ROLL CALL VOTE ON THE CONVENTION FLOOR. NO MORE INTIMIDATION OF (Hillary) DELEGATES!
PUMA’s “Audacity of Democracy” mini-film says Obama cheated in caucuses and cheated in Texas, and it mocks his supporters as dim-witted Kool-Aid drinkers. In an interview before the convention, Murphy insisted she isn’t secretly a Republican but just enraged that the DNC has jettisoned the democratic election process “in favor of transcendence” with . . . . The Chosen One.OK, forgive me, Darragh, but the PUMA shtick looks more out-in-the-ozone every day. I would say hysterical, but that would be sexist.”

I hate to say it but if Hillary has truly cratered to these charlatans, I’m afraid I’m done with her too. I understand all she’s gone through ( at least as much as we can with the information we’ve been given), but selling out after taking such a brave, storng stand for this country; for women; and for all American families is just too much to stomach. Maybe she’s just tired. Who can blame her. Maybe there are threats we know nothing about. Whatever it is, I can’t play the game anymore. Either she has the moxie to stand up and say “I’m in it to win it” one more time, or McCain can count on my vote.

The Democratic National Convention has begun and the poll numbers are bouncing, but not in the direction that most people anticipated.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows Barack Obama attracting 44% of the vote while John McCain also earns 44%. When “leaners” are included, it’s still tied with Obama at 46% and McCain at 46%. Yesterday, with leaners, Obama had a three-point advantage over McCain.
Obama’s support has declined in each of the last three individual nights of polling. This may be either statistical noise or a reaction to the selection of Biden. If it’s the latter, it probably has less to do with Biden than Hillary Clinton. Forty-seven percent (47%) of Democratic women say Clinton should have been picked and 21% of them say they’ll vote for McCain.
Near the top!
Oh, btw, I faxed my other prowl yesterday to Dean’s hotel.

What was Michelle Obama’s speech missing?
1. True emotion, she almost got there but missed the mark.
2. Barrack’s childhood heros
3. People who inspired Barrack throughout his lifetime.
4. Military story
5. Colleges they graduated from
6. Church life as a family
7. Spiritual mentors
8. Experience in office
9. Barrack’s family stories
10. Barrack’s sisters or brothers
11. Barrack’s praise to his Grandparents who raised him
12. Barrack’s places he lived other than Hawaii
13. Barrack’s experience living in other countries
14. Barrack’s elementary or high school memories
15. Barrack’s love of his mother/father or step father
16. Barrack helping his poverty stricken family members
17. Barrack’s business associates, jobs he had and struggles he met becoming a Senator
18. Barrack’s lessons learned in life.
19. Barrack’s favorite teacher or any teacher that inspired him.
20. Barrack’s love of family other than her and his daughters.
21. Barrack’s relationship with her parents.
22. What her parents felt about Barrack.
23. Barrack’s childhood religious experiences.
24. Who and what molded Barrack to become the man he is today.
She was suppose to come out and tell us the life story of who Barrack Obama is. She was suppose to sell him to the middle class, middle American, Hillary suppporters and undecided voters and cross over Republicans. She was suppose to leave us with a connection that would make us consider the possibility of voting for him. She left me feeling, disconnected.
Yes the kids are cute, Michelle looked nice and she even managed to say, “That’s why I love this country.” But she could not stand still, she spoke too quickly for me, and she never once showed a tear of emotion with the story of her father’s struggle with MS. The one place I was connected to her is when she mentioned bringing their baby daughter home. Other than that her speech was talking points. If I had to grade her I would give her a C-.
I loved the Kennedy’s as usual they connect to people on an emotional level and on a Patriotic level. They make you want MORE families like them. Not perfect, not without sin, not the most beautiful looks, but they are all about loving their family and their country.

Good morning Pumas: Ohio voters, before you write in Hillary’s name in November please be aware that unless Hillary files a “Declaration of Intent” by Sept. 3rd your write-in will NOT count nor will it go to Obama. As of today Hillary has NOT filed the Intent with the Ohio Secretary of State. A vote for McCain Will be a vote against Obama.

Repost:
Maybe I’m wrong for saying this, but if Hillary does not speak for herself tonight, then she is just as much part of this sham. I want a fighter…not candidate that will collapse and conform to everything we are against…A corrupt Party.
After tonight…..I may be a goner………..and go Independent!
I can’t take this crap anymore. After going through seven plant closings, relocations, or downsizings; I have little faith in the Democratic Party.
Americans need to take their government back.
Hillary needs to say that…..and I would believe her!
From anyone else…it’s just rhetoric.
I have to comment. I don’t think its right to Bash Hillary for backing Obama. I can’t stand the man either. But Hillary doesn’t have a choice. The DNC will ruin her career if she doesn’t back the nominee. Its not fair to expect her to throw everything she has worked for all her life down the drain. We all have a pretty good idea how she really feels. Its just a side show like the rest of this election process. The only thing we can do at this point is vote for McCain. Write in votes won’t work. There are not enough states to allow write ins. All you will be doing is taking votes away from McCain. If you truly want Obama to go down you have to vote for McCain its the only answer. You can’t take away votes from McCain and expect Obama to lose. I know some people want to write in Hillary’s name as a simbol. But your biting off your nose to spite your face. If you really want to take the power back from the DNC, the only power we have at this point is our vote. Its up to you whether you want to waiste it, or make it count.
Good morning PUMA Family
Hillary is the REAL DEAL! Opening convention last night was flat.
Kennedy is trying to keep the Kennedy legacy alive by bringing Caroline into politics, he was not passing the torch to NObama he was passing it to Caroline. NObama is just a PROP for him to keep the Kennedy last name alive; desperate people always make desperate choices.. Michelle was trying to make herself endear to viewers and listeners but her words and her body language are in collision course – they’re in disagreement. Your eyes is the window to your soul, Michelle’s eyes last night gave her away; she’s a very angry woman and couldn’t care less about people of this country.
news media You know what? Hillary Supporters are actually getting mentioned alot in the news – almost more than BO!!! We need to keep up the emails to them on the issues – they ARE listening. If we weren’t considered important, then we wouldn’t be recognized.
Has anyone checked out the video that posted yesterday evening on hillaryclinton.com? The computer I am on right now cannot load it:

repost: Sitting here in my Hillary shirt and reflecting…I have a hard time being as optimistic as others here. If Hillary already has/or will be releasing her delegates, then I will just go back to my boring life and vote for McCain in November. I have health issues and the stress of this is just too draining. I only hope that someone will be on top of this voter fraud issue, so that we can have a FAIR election come November – if that is even possible anymore. This election certainly has opened up my eyes to so much more (corruption) than I’ve ever known possible – and what a disappointment it has been! I hope to one day be proud to be a democrat once again.
Just a reminder…writing in Hillary’s name is actually a vote for Obama.
McCain/Clinton – now wouldn’t that be a slam dunk?

Thanks, for help getting the word out.
Some of us did that last night. Many, many more PUMAs need to do it. I emailed the prowl around to other nobama sites hoping to garner support for it. I emailed a letter for Ohio and Pennsylvania last night and faxed them this morning.
Let’s all stay upbeat and positive today as we anticipate Hillary’s speech tonight. We need to NOT react to the media’s take on what her speech is suppose to be. They will obviously not give us a true picture and how would they know anyway?
We will have plenty of time tomorrow once whe have actually heard it to react.
If anyone hears a mention of PUMA on the news today please take the time to jot down what station and time and send to Elaine. She is keeping an archive of all our publicity.

Didn’t get a prowl. What’s it all about?
32 1gypsy4mc
thats what they said on Fox…im waiting to see what they say
PA GUY~ This fight is for the long term. In the long run, the fight to take our party back may just be beginning if Hillary turns all over to Obama. It means we work harder to dethrone him in November, and fight harder for 2012. In the mean time, we need to bolster any candidate running against Pelosi, Reid, Kennedy, Wasserman, Wexler. Send their opponents money and let it be known where it is coming from!!! And if not successful then, we continue. Wouldn’t it be just thrilling to oust Wasserman andWexler and Pelosi!!!!
I am worried that alot of people see the convention as the be all and end all. I hope this is not the case. I see this fight as long term, to rid thenc of the corrupt members, loudy and clearly. I will not be diswayed if all goes for not at the convention. I will just be gearing up.
Oh my goodness – I think something’s up – Hillary has 60 staffers with her!!! FOX says something may be in the “pot”……….I’m sorry if I’m getting anyone excited!!

I have a very busy work morning SO I thank you for putting my thoughts into words!
Just what I have been thinking about all night. Very Very restless situation
32 1gypsy4mc
It was one of those statements before they break for commercial
The news is saying we’re the fringe and that fringes are usually ignored and don’t matter. Now, I find that really interesting. The so-called “progressive” (moveon.org, etc.) were the “fringe” in 2000 and 2004. No more. So PUMAs we have a four year fight ahead of us. Keep Hillary in the mix. Don’t despair. No one promised us a “rose garden” in this fight.
The DNC has already ruined her career and dissed all her hard work.
Hillary does have a choice….
I don’t think we are bashing Hillary…I think were bashing the DNC and their selection process.
#27 thanks Sunny. I redid mine this morning as the language at puma latinos was much more precise than what I had. I hope Murphy or Maryland sends that link out to all Pumas. I sent it to Ricki Lieberman and also to Puma Responders.
#313 Halligan See my post #17 above
Everyone, keep reposting just in case Murphy doesn’t send out the prowl.
HELLO to all the PUMAS in Denver…you are doing a fantistic job in representing us!! With you in SPIRIT!!!
Looking forward to hearing what Hillary has to say tonight with mixed feelings.
MURPHY et al ….wonder if you might have a chance to talk with Carly Fiorina ( CEO of Hewlett-Packard) who one of McCain’s campaign financial advisers. She was on FOX yesterday and said they have a war room set up somewhere in Denver. She has been reaching out to disaffected Hillary supporters and is highlighting women’s issues.
Yea, I hate to see the Hillary bashing here. Who knows how she REALLY feels….can’t imagine being treated like she has by her own party. Have to trust she is doing what she thinks is best under the adverse circumstances. Only other option would be to walk away from the party…and where would THAT get her???
#35 Virginia Totally agree with your statement.
Murphy,
I could not get the link to Margery Eagan’ article to work and when I found the article, I could not find a place to make comments.
PLEASE READ POST #17 AND TAKE THE INITIATIVE TO DO THAT PROWL
Everyone have a great day!!!
#2 Then don’t “play the game”. We all are here for a purpose and we all knew this was not going to be easy. Wait to hear what Hillary says and does. It has been a long road but we are not done yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hang it there
James wearing the sneakers??? I think we need him for a backer in PUMA. Can anyone in Denver find and talk to him?
Hillary is doing exactly what needs to done now. I am certain her speech will reflect that. There is a short term goal of emulating ‘unity’ and a long term goal of setting the stage for a likely 2012 candidacy.
I do find the commentary by Margery Eagan to be a fine example of neither understanding the democratic process of dissent and not the rewarding a morally corrupt party for select *61.
We want, I think, a true elective process, not one where key delegate votes can be purchased.
I will never vote for BHO!!
Fox is really on target this morning. They say Hillary has a staff of 60 in Denver and also if they see the delegates are voting to much for Hillary they will stop the vote if it looks like BO is not going to win. Also, MC came out with a video that is attaching Ayers with BO and the BO camp has already come out with a response.
Hot Darn!!! It’s about time someone is really going after this Ayers association!! By American Issues????
I’m going to google that one!!

Below is Lisas letter to the Attorney Generals and Secretary of State – this is to help us get a full floor roll call tomorrow instead of a partial – hopefully it will pressure the DNC that if we are not represented by roll call then we will prevent the Democratic Party from having their selected one on each States Ballot – you can’t win the Presidency if you are not on the States ballot : We really need representation of those states after NEW YORK where the dreaded “media” rumor is she will give her delegates over to him – once you send the letter advise bobram so that your state is updated:
Here is the letter to send to your state’s Attorney General and Secretary of State. You can google their addresses and phone numbers online. I suggest calling their office EARLY in the morning, and finding out if there is an email or fax number that will actually reach them in Denver and send it straight there.
Patrick Lynch
Office of the Attorney General
150 South Main Street
Providence, Rhode Island 02903
Dear Attorney General Patrick Lynch,
Subject: Objections to Special Status Granted to the Democratic Party on RI State Ballots
I am writing to you to protest the state of Rhode Island allowing the Democratic party access to our state election ballots.
I understand that state officials cannot intervene in the internal operations of any political party. I want to make clear that this is not what I am asking you to do. Rather, I am putting you on notice, that if the DNC refuses to hold a bona fide floor vote on the nomination, I will work diligently to revoke the special status that our state laws grant to candidates from the Democratic Party to get on the ballot.
We spend taxpayer money for elections that are fair and honest, and support the will of the people. The DNC has shown through it’s nomination of a candidate by fiat, that they are not abiding by our state’s principles. Barack Obama was given the nomination without reaching the proper number of delegates needed to secure it. The super delegates do not officially vote until the convention. Now we see that the super delegates will not be voting at all.
Furthermore, there is widespread reports and investigations of fraudulent voting irregularities in several states. In the Texas caucuses there was massive voter fraud and voter intimidation. In Oregon there were dead people voting. In Los Angeles, gang members were hired to walk neighborhoods and threaten people to vote for Obama. In some southern states there are instances being investigated of votes being sold for $20. , or in some cases, for drugs. These problems affect the results of voting in all states, Rhode Island included. (I.e. see website http://www.lynettelong.com/caucusfraud/meals_prizes/ )
I protest the spending of our state tax dollars to allow a private club such as the DNC to pick their own candidate in violation of even their own rules, and run that candidate on our state ballots. I assure you, I intend to work to amend our state laws so that from now on DNC will not be allowed access to our state ballots without the requisite fees and petitions that the other political parties such as the Green Party or the Libertarian Party must pay and supply, unless they return to holding fair elections based upon votes of citizens.
I suggest that you notify the DNC of my intention, backed by the intention of a very large network of protestors under the aegis of PUMA PAC. I have tried to warn the Democratic Party myself, but the party is not hearing me.
Sincerely,
Lisa
Portsmouth, Rhode Island
PUMA PAC
I’m sorry…
This is Clinton’s LAST STAND to be president. There is no 2012.
I don’t think she’ll be viewed as a fighter for Americans in 2012 by cowardly conforming to the DNC in 2008.
She will get burnt even more in 2012………

#18 PA Guy on 08.26.08 at 9:58 am
Please don’t resent Hillary, she have to do what she must do to survive politically so she can fight another day. For us, it is straightforward, but in politics it isn’t; we see a straightline and she should go in that direction, the line actually isn’t straight in politics there are curvatures from point A to point B. The convention is heavily scripted since time immemorial, Hillary’s life story will be featured, her accomplishments, she will release her delegates, she can’t keep on holding on them; it is up to her delegates to vote for her or NObama. She cannot force them to support NObama, she can only say “I will vote for Obama”, the choice is left for her delegates to do whatever they wish. IF Hillary doesn’t come out as nominee, she would be the most powerful senator in the US Senate. This is the time all of us must stand strong side by side with Hillary. REAL CHANGE can ONLY take place if WE THE PEOPLE believe in ourselves that we can change our corrupt party that subverted the will of the people.
There’s nothing wrong if you change your party affiliation to independent, I left the Democratic Party June 5, I’m now an independent voter. PA guy, we’ve just started our fight, Denver Convention is just a DRESS REHEARSAL for all of us who believes in democratic process and DEMOCRACY.
#41 ladyhawkke (re: post #17)
Thank you, Ladyhawkke for following through and getting it going this morning. I think it’s a very constructive prowl.
jbjd actually came up with that prowl and talked with Murphy about it last night on the blog. Murphy stated in a post to do it.
#49 Mac They said it was “not” McCain, but American Issues. What do you think?
Will fax my AG & SOS today (PA) Will email media & DNC.
If Hillary doesn’t do the right thing tomorrow, by herself, us, and most important, this country, I’m done.
Now is the time, it’ll be too late later. If the DP did this to her now, they’ll do it again; they’re not finished with her yet. She’ll never be POTUS.
#2, notfollowinthepiedpiper ,
Others made comments on this, but I can’t stay silent.
Hillary’s only party is the Democratic Party. If she goes independent, she is all by herself, without support. Within the party she has supporters. If she turns on the party, she will lose them too. Look at Lieberman – a pariah in the Dem. Party.
I read people saying: ‘Thank you Hillary, we will take it from here’ . Was that just a nice sounding sentence or is it what we do?
She has to protect herself, her carrier to live to fight another day (I am not sure if I quoted correctly, forgive me.)
GRRRR

Does everyone have fox news on they are going to be talking about a bounce in the polls but not the bounce you would think coming up. I am thinking maybe McCain got a bounce we will see.
I posted this earlier but will post again here as a FYI for anyone interested

My overview of the DNC Convention last night.
I watched it online so I did not have commentators adding their hype to it. Which I was thankful for as it gave me an opportunity to view it without bias.
The first person who I listened to was Nancy Pelosi:
She referred often to how Bo was going to be change and how he offered an opportunity to change. Yet, she never mentioned what kind of change or how he was going to implement this change. Her words were empty, almost like have a pie crust but never adding the filling. Very unfortunate.
Claire McCaskill (I’m sure I spelt her name wrong):
Again talking about change but not identifying the type of change to expect. All we know from her is people are looking for change and Bo will bring it. Not very convincing. I was beginning to feel she was getting paid for the number of times she said Bo’s name. Like a childhood game of Simon says.
Caroline Kennedy served no purpose in her speech except to attempt to bolster Bo and Ted. She spent more time talking about Ted than Bo. She was obviously placed there to connect Bo to the Kennedy way of politics.
Ted Kennedy (I didn’t hear all of his), he was well received, but then whether that is because he is liked or whether its applause for the fact that he has been through a tremendous ordeal lately will be unknown. He was there obviously for the pity vote and because of his long standing in politics.
The Town Hall was a farce and a complete waste of time. The panel appeared to be very nervous and not wanting to be there. Body language spoke volumes from each of them. They kept their eyes away from the camera and the host of the panel kept looking to the floor. I wondered if they had a few too many cocktails before getting on stage. There was a nervousness about each of them. And surely it can’t be stage fright, I’m sure each of them have been on camera before. But I guess when you have to avoid answers and yet appear you are answering it could make anyone break into a sweat. I felt they were also looking to each other for confidence, unfortunately none were displaying the confidence one would expect. As for the questions, it was a farce, they chose questions that required no direct answer, making it easy to skirt any issues or provide definitive answers.
Overall I felt I was watching a pep rally and these were the cheerleaders. There was nothing in anyone’s speech to show the undecided voters why they should vote for Bo. The audience was lukewarm to say the least, the music which I’m sure was chosen to get them pumped didn’t even provide the effect they hoped for. It was a dead crowd in an arena that one would expect excitement, jubilation and conviction. Sadly, it wasn’t. It came off as a lame attempt at a last chance to promote a dying party and candidate. The beigest applause came when Michelle mentioned Hillary. Michelle’s face should her emotion at that time, she was surprised and I’ll admit she handled it well.
The DNC tried to show Bo and his family as a normal American family with the same focus and goals as everyone else. Reality is no person running for President is average. There’s no way around that. By the time they reach that point they’ve become an actor, gamer and an everyday conversation piece. Most normal families are not in that spotlight and hence those who are have moved away from being the average family.
As for the Obama kids making an appearance, this was not necessary and was definitely presumptive. They should have waited til after the nomination. It’s not like the public has not already seen them.
It was a fine display of praising Bo and an opportunity for some back patting for the DNc, but other than that, it lacked substance and was definitely meant for a tv sitcom not a political arena.

Halligan – see my Post #51 – we are taking on our own prowl – for me – personally – I am doing the last thing that I can personally do to try and get Hillary as the nominee – I think this letter to the Attorney Generals and Sec of States to each State could help – I know that Hillary has to do what she has to do because of pressures on her – but I have to do what I have to do as well – hence this last prowl that we are doing now – I have donated to Hillary – I have made calls in the primary for Hillary – I have blogged all the newspapers for Hillary – I have done the prowls here – now its more about stopping the DNC by shoving someone down our throat than Hillary – if nothing else this prowl will create enough attention that it will make it a little more difficult for them to just go on like business as usual – so this is my last ditch attribute to our lady Hillary.
Here is our lovely friend Cafferty bashing the Clintons and the PUMAs..

Never too late….still, do it as soon as possible.
Thank you.
oops – HANG TO TO VOTES!!

Hillary will always be viewed as a fighter and never as a coward by me and millions of others.
Let’s focus on and go after the ones who have ruined our party and it’s not Hillary.
Well said Trish – you should run for office –
I love Hillary but I have a family and can not afford to have “O” in the White House.
I know Hillary might be pushed to do what she really does not want to do but, she will be letting SOOOO many people down.
No matter what she says I can not support “O”
I wish Hillary could see this from our view. No matter what she does she will not be able to run in 2012 unless she runs as an indy.
Good Morning PUMAS!
DId you all see where they said that they would be talking about PUMA during “The Strategy Session” on FOX. It begins at 11amEST.
I fell asleep last night and missed MO’s speech. I already had a migraine and couldn’t take any more.
I did enjoy watching Dick Morris on Fox & Friends this morning. He is actually beginning to believe that we do matter to the outcome of the election. He says that *61 made a mistake in his selection of Biden. I’d say that the whole ticket is wrong!!! Hillary is the ONLY one that can win this election!! If Hillary doesn’t get this nomination (I’m not for sure that she can, but I’m still holding out hope!), then as I have always said, its McCain ’08/Hillary’12 for me!!!!
Once again, thank you to all of you in Denver and please stay safe today!!

RE: # 52
I agree! 2008 not 2012.
With a staff of 60, why would she not win.
I have the strong sense that all her staff appearing on the cable stations are just providing a cover up to Hillary and Bill’s next move while at the podiums. She is getting a lot of coverage through those interviews.
HILLARY ’08.
I’m sorry…
This is Clinton’s LAST STAND to be president. There is no 2012.
I don’t think she’ll be viewed as a fighter for Americans in 2012 by cowardly conforming to the DNC in 2008.
Her choice for what is right for America is to stand up NOW.
Action speaks louder than words.
Conforming is not a sign of leadership………All this will be used against her 2012.
Her time is NOW.
1gypsy4MC, I do think there is a lot of rumbling going on at the convention that the vote may have to be counted for Hillary. I think the Ayers situation could cause some problems. This should be interesting today.
#73 Bobram Thanks, please keep up the pressure on all officials you can think of- and of course, the poisonous DNC leadership. If we don’t pull this off this election, we will work to rid the party of these vipers. Obama is taking a dump in the polls- HAHA!
http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll
I will see if I can get the PUMA PAC wizzes to download some pictures taken at the demonstration at Union Station. It felt so GOOD!
My husband heard on tv yesterday that they’re having trouble finding enough Dems to fill BOs stadium. (Imagine what an arrogant Pres he would make.)
Today we here on Fox Clinton people are leaving towm before his speech. Yeah, LATER!
First of all, Trish’s commentary was SPOT ON. It was like a dog and pony show without the show. VERY empty, and the lack of true spirit and the BODY LANGUAGE sent out the true message of the meeting–WE ARE LAME, WE DON’T WANT TO BE HERE, and most important WE KNOW WE HAVE ALREADY LOST.
Second, and this point is very important, Hillary NO LONGER HAS A PARTY. She is by name a Democrat, but they have kicked her to the curb in a PUBLIC and DEMEANING WAY and that is why PUMA and other groups are HERE. Hillary needs to NOT take direction from Thelma and Louise and jump into the abyss, but rather she should STRIDE to the podium, grab the mike, and state for the record that SHE IS IN IT TO WIN IT!! She has AMERICA, and we will stand beside her and walk her into the WHITE HOUSE with the dignity and respect she deserves.
Finally, I was embarassed and very thankful I am NO LONGER A DEMOCRAT. Last night was right of any Orwellian nightmare, and I can only hope that MOST of America realizes that the DNC has sold out. Either that or the Invasion of the Body Snatchers is not just a movie. I could hardly watch some of it but I forced myself to because I want to know how low they will go, and THEY ARE GOING TO GO WAY LOW PEOPLE….
DENVER PUMAS we are NEEDING PHOTOS LOTS OF PHOTOS….LOVE AND KEEP SAFE AND may GOD bless us all with a Hillary VICTORY!!
Hi SunnyPA! Havent seen you in a while. Great to see you.
I meet a wonderful woman named Betty from Pittsburgh PA last night. She spoke at the Rise and was very moving.
Sent prowl to California S of S and Attorney General late last night. This is going to be a rough ride so hang in there. I still believe in prayer and miracles.

Thanks for your critique. I just could not watch it. Guess I’m too old for pep rallies!
PA Guy
I have been lurking here this morning and I have to say that a big part of me agrees with you. I understand the people that say Hillary needs to do what she needs to do to protect her place in the democratic party and the senate. However, I too feel that if she doesn’t stand up now for herself and for us, then she will not get another chance. She will be seen as a quitter, not a fighter. They have stolen this election from her, and if she lets them get away with it this time, they will be sure to do it again in the future–whether it be to her or to someone else.
She needs to stand up and fight for this NOW!!
#57 Sunny Pa I thought that sounded like jbjd/s work. I’m putting it on every website I can.
WOW!! Lots of emotion here this morning!
I too wish Hillary could really give it to the DNC but she does have a career in the party. She really has to do what she is doing- but we don’t have to support her- we need to follow our hearts.
I have said this frequently and will say it again, my number one goal in life for the next two months is to defeat Obama. And to do that I will vote McCain. Never voted Repub in my life but will this year to see that the DNC and BO pay for all the s*** they have thrown around these past 9 months.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give McCain strong consideration- staying at home or voting third party could tip the scale to Barry and think what that will cost the nation. Have a drink, hold your nose, get accupunture, do whatever you have to but please seriously consider voting McCain
Mccain may announce his VP before Friday. I can see it now as soon as BHO finishes on Thrs. Mccain steal’s the show and announces his vp.
Wouldn’t that be fabulous!! A half full stadium. Maybe they could round up all the homeless that they gave haircuts to to fill in. They probably look good!!!

& anybody else whose name I missed….
what do you think about putting all info about AG prowl (letter, instructions, etc.) PLUS the fact that Murphy approved after jbjd talked to her it into 1 post and then referring people back to it? this will keep blog shorter. just an idea
Fox also reported earlier on the speech Rendell gave when he criticized the press… the guy that was on said Rendell was right… and they lost their objectivity.
Also… there’s a link somewhere on the Fox site that leads to their Convention back room bloggers… but I’m having trouble finding that link. They said they are blogging all day in their set room there at the convention and they want to hear what we think… they said… “We want to know what you think of Michelle’s speech and Hillary’s speech tonight and we especially want to hear from PUMA’s.”
If we can find that link maybe we ought to invite them to join our blog here if they want to know what we think.
PUMA can fill that stadium!!!!
I’ve been on the fox site trying to find the link into this blog… but I have to leave for work soon and don’t have the time to look for it.

also how to get name/email/etc. of AG…

Nice; very nice.
I too am not so sure about 2012, orginally I thought ‘no problem’ Hillary will get the nod. I know a number of non-active Hill supporters that feel the ‘air’ is gone. They like the fighting Hillary, the one that makes them feel she will do ‘whatever it takes’ for the people. They see her less and less of a fighter and more and more of a politician. I do wonder if she is blowing it by not fighting for the people.
Excellent article by Soldier4Hillary on NoQuarter:

Hey Murphy!! You are doing a great job in Denver.
Tell Betty (if she’s the one with the red p/u) hello for me. She’s great…we had a lot of fun at Hillary visabilities.

I care about whom would best lead this country.

I also faxed a copy of the letter to Dean at his DC office and also at the Denver fax number we had, to Nancy Pelosi , all the media, and Senator Bill Nelson (FL)
SunnyPa i KNEW you would know her!!!
She is so helpful, fun, kind, and supportive — loud and funny in JUST the right way.
McCain’s lady is so much more in touch, she defines middle class around $50,000.

In a poll they said on fox in general election Hillary beat out Obama on who would win against McCain.

Very good idea!!!
I outta here for sure now.
I realized that I did not truly speak to what tonight means to me. As a woman I can honestly say that if she does not stand her ground and speak for her and for me, if she actually grovels for that man, it will hurt like hell. But I am going to watch because I need to know how bad it is going to get, and I want to see for myself what a woman with a $100 million dollars and 20 millions American supporters will do when push comes to shove. I have nothing, and the only supporters I know of are my lost animals that I rescue, but I would stride to that podium and give the world my very best. And it would not include that man’s name except to say that America does not need an enemy as President.
RISE Hillary….please rise. IF NOT now, it will be never. Remember the vote on IRAQ…this time you will NEVER be able to live it down. SUPPORTING BO = END OF CAREER.
Klara~#104 GREAT article!! It is basically saying we have a long and hard fight on our hands….

*****INFO FROM DENVER******
Good morning, PUMAs! I just talked to hillstheone, and let me update everyone on what she told me. Also, I cannot stay on indefinitely, so if someone can repost this info from time to time, it would be great.
hillstheone says everything is very exciting there. She was there at the msnbc stage chanting that Chris Matthews is a sexist pig. I got a big laugh out of that. More importantly, she wanted everyone to know that your contributions were very well spent. She says that at PUMA HQ, two out of three people are NOT members of the Pac, but are from other Hillary supporter groups or they are delegates. So, PUMA HQ appears to be the hub of activity for Hillary supporters in Denver!
Also, right after hillstheone posted yesterday, she was picked up to go to the msnbc stage for a protest. A Denver Post reporter rode with her in a van of about 8 people. The Denver Post reporter asked everyone a lot of questions. Hopefully her story made it in the paper today. I am getting a slow start, so my apologies, I have no news from anyone except hillstheone and from PBS last night, which I watched as much as the little dragonflies allowed.
Finally, hillstheone has a REQUEST – would anyone who has time please check out links for ABC affiliates. There was coverage of PUMA activity. She is hoping PUMAs can keep the momentum going by sending links of ABC affiliate coverage to other media outlets.
Roar on, everyone! My boss says I have to work.

The video made me cry. It was sooooo great!!!!
#52 PA Guy, hey PA guy, what will it take besides Hillary being President to lift your spirits? I will tap dance for you in red knee-high socks, or moon the BO supporters while you watch, or tell you some jokes, or sing for you (can’t carry a tune in a bucket!), cheer up, your a great Puma that is realistic, but it’s not over yet.
Hope I got a least a little smile from you…
MISSYD – Have been looking for someone from W Va – could you send the letter above to your AG and SS and let me know so that I can add on to my list – West Virigina of all places should be able to cast their vote at the convention.
New Rasmussen Polls shows that 41% Obama 43% Clinton would be better president.
47% will support Obama (women)
39% will not support Obama (women)
Both McCain and Obama tied at 44% NO BUMP hahahah
Beautiful video Murphy, thank you for posting it

“I have to comment. I don’t think its right to Bash Hillary for backing Obama. I can’t stand the man either. But Hillary doesn’t have a choice. The DNC will ruin her career if she doesn’t back the nominee. Its not fair to expect her to throw everything she has worked for all her life down the drain.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’m sorry, but to think these crooks actually intend to keep any promises they are making to her right now, is just more fairy tale denial. They will be throwing her back under the bus as soon as they are done with her. They will say anything to get what they want then out you go. LOOK AT THEIR TRACK RECORD! Caving to them now will just seal her fate as a”has been” from the old regime. She needs to stand up now and be the real Hillary. This weak posturing is doing her no good for the present and certainly no good for her future! C’mon Hillary. GO FOR IT!
Wow…thanks for video!! I always cry.
If you are still here…
do you remember which FOX show it was?
#92 Karla for Hillary & PA Guy My husband told me if she doesn’t stand up to them, he is done with her, that she is not a fighter. She was the one who told us “Never give up, Never give in.” FDR would not have stood for this, now there was a fighter, he fought for what he believed in. I’m hoping something will happen and we can still pull this off but if she loses this nomination, I will not be fighting this hard for anyone else again. Four years is a long time to wait. I’ve already waited eight. Will keep the faith and keep on doing what I’m doing until the very end. I’ve also been faxing my letters to Hillary’s campaign office.
Can we watch the Audacity of Democracy (the whole thing) anywhere?
You don’t have to worry about Hillary …or her career….She’ll always have a job. Hell…. She can retire anytime.
What about us!
Beautiful video from trishhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rvU0fkOU0g
Good morning,
I’m heading off to work in a minute, but just wanted to check in.
I find this line from the above article interesting: “OK, forgive me, Darragh, but the PUMA shtick looks more out-in-the-ozone every day. I would say hysterical, but that would be sexist.” The use of the word “hysterical” is the topper. What would this person and others have us do to protest what millions acknowledge is a sham election? I guess they don’t want us to do anything because they aren’t doing anything themselves. In any case, we have had to redefine social protest (for a variety of reasons). Darragh and other PUMAs have gone out to protest (in the traditional sense, but of course in a non-violent way) and hundreds of thousands have made phone calls, sent letters, and e-mails. We are not going to act like 20 year olds did in the 1960s because that form of protest only went so far. If they can only take violence seriously (I’m assuming this person sees us as a joke by their tone and language) then that’s too bad for them because we may only be protesting now, but in November we go to the polls and that’s no joke. We will vote against a corrupt candidate that was not elected by the people. The Boston Herald journalist and others just want to shut us up and that’s not going to happen. O.K., it will happen if things are done in an honest open way in the Democratic Party, but since that’s unlikely to happen then we will keep fighting.
I didn’t say this yesterday, but last night I had a chance to look of some of the photos of the PUMAs protesting in Denver and I thought they were outstanding. I am so proud that they are out there. They should be commended for having the guts to stand up to the Democratic Party and the intense media pressure. I don’t care how many names the media calls us I will not fall in line, because what is going on is WRONG. I know it isn’t easy for HC herself to stand up to the jerks she has to deal with, so my only hope for her speech tonight is that she mostly talks about women in politics/history and not so much about BO (although she will have to do that).
Off to work. Have a great day everyone, Lara08
Hillary is very smart folks and has to show some unity tonight. Yes we would like to see her fight but if she were to do that it would divide the party some more and that will not benefit her in the future.
Am is disgruntled over the Democratic party right now? You bet I am but I realize that a third party in not realistic at this time. How can we change things for 2012. First we can simply not vote or vote for McCain this upcoming election. This will show the DNC that they messed it up yet again.
Obama will lose this upcoming election and the DNC will be scratching their heads and crunching the numbers and will then realize that when they chose the candidate they will lose. They need to rely on the voters.
Keep you chins up and stay strong!
#97 Jody In Florida – good idea – but people will still ask what is the prowl about – this way when they see names and states there is a better chance we will have the support – would have been easier if it had been a complete prowl going to each persons email – that always works – but on individual ones – it takes a lot of effort to “persuade” someone to do it -
Still would like to see the States of West Virigina, Oklahoma and Minnesota represented.
128 ladyhawkke
You know, if she doesn’t fight for this, I think a lot of people will quit fighting also. Everyone has fought so hard for her because she kept telling us she was in it to win it. Everyone has put so much of themselves into helping her that it would be quite a slap in the face for her to just step down and let BO take over. That will be a huge message to all of us that there really is no point in fighting because politics is politics and there is nothing we can do to change it.
I always thought that if there was anyone with enough fight, spirit, and intelligence to stand up and fight for our votes, it would be Hillary. If she quits now, I quit also.
I know emotions are high, but darn it, it is time to stand up for this country. We need her to do that. She is the only one who can help us do that.
“the DNC will be scratching their heads and crunching the numbers and will then realize that when they chose the candidate they will lose.”
~~~~~~~~~~~
Personally I think you’re giving the DNC too much credit here. Their goal is not really to “get a democrat in the oval office”. If that were the case, Hillary would be the candidate. No, they want a puppet they can control and carry out their chicanery unchecked. They won’t repent and change their ways….they’ll just ramp up the deception machine!
From MSNBC article:
A narrator adds: “Hillary’s right. John McCain for president.”

lol, excellent, then we’re on, I thought you might be too busy, but ok then , you still have time to respond, i like that.
I am looking forward to Hillary talking at the convention, while she may not say what I want to hear, she does have a way of making people feel better through her words. I know I would not want to be in her shoes right now.
Then I can’t wait to hear Bill, I hope he lays it all on the line.
fox news just reported bruce springsteen and bon jovi NEWS ALERT___Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi will be playing music at nobama’s acceptance speech thursday–so that is how they will be filling the stadium. thye must have needed a plan b–obama couldn’t fill it on his own.
this is what nobama’s camp did in portland oregon to get 70,000 at waterfront park. many of the crowd were there to hear the bands that were playing before his speech. haka in execution

NOBODY knows what Hillary is going to do:
from http://bourbonroom.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/08/26/clinton-camp-meets-secretly-in-denver-vote-your-conscience/
From Such is the stuff of the internal Clinton discussions about what to do with and about their hyper-loyal delegates. Even those on the same team (Clinton’s) can’t agree on what the phrase “vote your conscience” means literally or figuratively. This makes it difficult to discern team Clinton’s true wishes, intentions and directives. This has been a beguiling and befuddling reality for Obama advisers for some time.
Gag me – judas is on live fox now saying that we’re over it and Hillary will being us in line to back obama – now he’s trying to say that he did a fundraiser for her – big whoop –
noway nobama november & that includes you too judas richardson

Will Some of You Straighten Out the NYT?
Michael Falcone wrote in the NYT blog yesterday that BO booked the stadium in Denver, which holds 75,000, after a “sea of 75,000 people swarmed around” him at a gathering in Portland, Oregon, in May, making this “the largest crowd of his campaign.” Except that, the crowd at the park in May had been recruited to appear as part of a cross-promotional marketing effort his campaign had entered into with the Decemberists, a popular indie band based in Portland. Below are links to their web site, posting in advance news of the free concert and a request to contact the Obama campaign directly, along with the link to the campaign’s web site. I also gave a link to a music site spreading advance word the Decemberists would be appearing in the park, for free.

laydyhawke When you get time, show/tell how to do the musical note!! I keep forgetting to ask!!
I wrote Charles Cates the following e-mail: His answer follows my e-mail. As you can see he agrees about the fraud but will still vote for Obama. The task of fighting the DNC is too huge for anyone to tackle. I agree with those that will fight by voting for McCain, it’s the only way righting a wrong will work. The DNC is beyond listening they think the majority of Democrats will fall in line and vote for Obama regardless of the dishonesty and corruption we have all seen in the primaries.
We all saw what happened when the Supreme Court selected George Bush, all was forgotten and everyone went their merry way. The same dang thing will happen if we give in and vote for Obama or not vote, or write in Hillary’s name. Obama will win and all these corrupt dishonest handful of Democrats will win. They will pick who they want every election as long as they are still in power. I don’t trust Nancy Pelosi any more than I trust George Bush and Dick Cheney.
Obama is too inexperienced to be president but I do trust McCain more than Obama. The media hype against McCain is outrageous, same as it was against Hillary. McCain is certainty not the best but better than allowing corruption to continue in the Democratic party. If they get their way, we all will have to take their next pick for president and we will be left out of the voting process again. I can see it from now on, once corruption is ok it will be used forever, fraud will be the norm to select a few power crazies’ choice, and ignore what the voters want.
I don’t blame Hillary for giving up the fight she will be destroyed if she don’t conform. The Ted Kennedy’s and Nancy Pelosi’s would see that she never runs for office of any kind again. These people (there are about 50 of them) are mean and in my opinion vicious, like Bush and Cheney will do anything to destroy anyone that gets in their way .
Dear Mr. Cates,
I’m sure you have gotten dozens of letters complaining about corruption in the Democratic caucuses and backdoor dealings that were made with superdelegates. I’m just one more Democrat that will not vote for any Democrat because of the way my party was taken over by power crazy thugs. There are millions of us that are still mad at how George Bush was selected in 2000 by the Supreme Court. The same thing has happened in the Democratic party this year. The only way to fight this type of corruption is vote all of them out of office.
Thank you for reading my e-mail
Mark J. T.
Hi Mark,
several people have sent me to the link to http://wewillnotbesilenced2008.com/video/index.htm and I’ve watched the videos. It certainly seems you have a legitimate grievance. Fighting the DNC is a David & Goliath endeavor and I wish the MSM would probe into this but I think we both know there’s no chance they will. I just can’t sdee 4 more years with a Republican president but we do need election reform as well as campaign finance reform.
Regards,
Charles
Sorry, this is long, but it does give some insight into what Hillary and Bill are experiencing. Give them some space, folks. There are some parallels in this article for me as well. I feel like a generation that is being left behind and yet we have so much to offer.

Hillary Rodham Clinton is over it — at least when people are watching.
Within days of losing the Democratic nomination to Barack Obama, her aides said she was all business, returning to her Senate duties, telling people she would do whatever Obama asked her to do in the general election.
Bill Clinton is not over it. He’s trying, his associates say. He’s slowly getting to a better place. But his resentments from the bitter campaign battles of last winter and spring are many and diverse, and people who have spent time with him recently said they fester just below the surface.
For the next two days, a convention that belongs to Obama will be dominated by the same two people who dominated the Democratic Party for the last generation and who have come to Denver in much different roles than they wanted. She speaks Tuesday. It’s his turn Wednesday.
For the Clintons, the politics of the week are simple: Accept the cheers of the many Democrats who still support them, be lavish in their praise for Obama, make sure that if he loses no one can say it was because they were covertly rooting for that result.
But the psychology of the week is complicated. It requires them to muzzle what friends say are their deep and continuing doubts about Obama’s electability, qualifications and political character.
It also requires them to embrace a generational transition in which the Clintons — whose political personas once stood for youth and the excitement of change — are cast as sunset figures, two conventional politicians in their sixties being shoved aside by a charismatic young celebrity.
“They are both going to do what they have to do,” said one veteran of Bill Clinton’s White House who remains close to them. “That does not mean they will enjoy it.”
But Obama, too, is part of the Denver psychodrama. Some Democrats with high-level ties to both the Clinton and Obama camps said they were surprised that Obama has not done more to make the Clintons more enthusiastic about his candidacy.
Obama has taken the minimum public steps necessary to accommodate the Clintons, including giving them prime-time speaking spots.
But he has taken few of the extra steps that Clinton allies say would have gone miles toward fostering goodwill.
He did not work hard to help her retire her $24 million campaign debt.
He did not make a high-profile statement repudiating any suggestion that Bill Clinton played “the race card” in the nomination contest — an allegation that the former president considers grossly unfair and that continues to infuriate him.
Just as significant, Obama has maintained a certain cool diffidence toward the former president. They spoke by phone last week. But for weeks before that, associates said, Clinton had heard nothing and did not even know when he would be speaking at the convention. The Obama campaign’s only communication was a form letter sent to all delegates.
Clinton loves to offer advice to fellow Democrats. But even in their conversations, Clinton friends say, Obama shows little deference or signs that he thinks Clinton, the only Democrat since Franklin D. Roosevelt to win two terms, has any special wisdom to offer.
“There is a lot Obama could have done to unify the party, and basically he hasn’t lifted a finger,” said one Democratic operative who is close to the Clinton team.
Howard Wolfson, Hillary Clinton’s former communications director, wrote in the New Republic on Tuesday that Bill Clinton “feels like the Obama campaign ran against and systematically dismissed his administration’s accomplishments.
“And he feels like he was painted as a racist during the primary process. Sen. Obama would go a long way towards healing these wounds if he were to specifically praise the accomplishments of the Clinton presidency in a line or two during his speech on Thursday,” Wolfson added.
Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.), in a panel discussion Monday sponsored by The Denver Post, Politico and Yahoo News, agreed that significant healing is necessary over the next three days.
“Yes, there’s some wounds,” he said. “Yes, there’s some scabs. But sometimes, underneath a scab, there’s a little bit of pus, but we have to put some disinfectant on it so we that can heal the wound and move forward. That’s what the convention is about.”
The “central task” of Hillary Clinton this week is “to ease the sting of some of her supporters,” one of her top advisers explained.
The success of the healing effort will depend not just on what people say from the podium, but on how supporters in the Pepsi Center and in the national television audience react. This group includes high-level Democrats and people who were among the 18 million voters who backed Hillary Clinton in 2008.
“There is a group of Hillary people who are very angry, very upset,” a senior Clinton adviser said. “Some of it’s directed at the media. Very disappointed. You can’t control all those people. These are CEOs — some of them major, rich people.
“You can’t call them and tell them what to do. There is no question there is that category of people. But I don’t think people can blame her for their behavior. I think that’s probably unfair.”
This context is one obstacle Clinton must navigate in her Tuesday speech, said Harold Ickes, a longtime senior adviser to both Clintons.
“It could be a very emotional night,” said Ickes. “Her challenge is to make the most of the emotion without popping the roof off” with what might be interpreted as a sign that many Clinton supporters are not reconciled to her defeat.
The same dynamic is shaping the convention roll call vote, in which Clinton’s name will be placed in nomination to give her delegates one last chance to express their support. Hillary Clinton aides said the idea was pushed more by the Obama team than her side.
But now that the vote is taking place, they said, Hillary Clinton is deeply anxious about it. On the one hand, she wants to get at least 1,000 delegates to register their support — anything less could be an embarrassment. On the other hand, it was her idea to organize a floor whip operation to make sure none of her supporters are unruly or vocally criticize Obama.
Beyond the challenges of Denver, both Clintons confront a broader question: How to relaunch their public careers in the wake of the 2008 disappointment.
Few Clinton associates interviewed believed there was any doubt she would run for president again if Obama should lose. And the Clintons believe a Democratic loss is entirely possible. They no longer vocalize their beliefs that Obama has scant experience and faces huge problems connecting with lower-income whites and other key voting blocs. But the criticism they leveled last winter and spring — both publicly and more sharply in private conversations with top Democrats — were entirely sincere at the time, and have not gone away.
As Hillary Clinton looks to the future, an ex-aide said, “She wants to reassert her relevance and introduce a new political identity.
“I think she understands that if she runs again, she has to run a different style of campaign,” this ex-aide said. “And she’s got a huge opening right now: For the first time in her career, she actually has a base to invigorate. At the beginning of the ’08 campaign, she was the issue: She had to explain herself, her celebrity. Now she’s got a base — the working class — and she needs to speak to them.”
For Bill Clinton, the challenge is even more complicated. Prior to his wife’s presidential campaign, his reputation had moved to a different realm. It was less about domestic politics and was centered on overseas work, such as promoting AIDS treatment in the developing world.
He wants to return to the elder statesman role, friends said. But his own grievances from 2008 — toward the news media, and toward Obama — are an obstacle.
In public remarks over the years, Clinton has said many times that his biggest mistakes in life came when he was tired or angry. During his wife’s campaign, he was often both — sometimes with good reason, as he witnessed errors by his wife’s advisers or endured what even many media commentators have called a pro-Obama bias in news coverage.
Clinton several times became ill-tempered in public, called Obama’s anti-Iraq message a “fairy tale” and denounced a widely respected journalist as a “scumbag.” His tirades during daily campaign conference calls became so frequent that some of his wife’s strategists stopped getting on the phone.
What’s more — contrary to his public reputation as a politician who is masterful at playing the angles — Bill Clinton has proved often over the years that he is among the most transparent of politicians. As president, people who wanted to know what he really thought simply needed to listen to his evening fundraisers, when he would regularly skate off-message with his unfiltered ruminations.
That’s why aides are sharply limiting access to him now, until he has more time to put his feelings about Obama into perspective. Both Clintons declined repeated interview requests from Politico.
Bill Clinton believes the Democratic nominee, far from practicing a unifying, transformational brand of politics, has the political instincts of “a Chicago thug,” one longtime associate said. Clinton has told people that Obama allowed surrogates to try to suppress Hispanic turnout in the Nevada caucuses, and played “the race card” in reverse against the Clintons in South Carolina and other states.
In a testy interview with ABC News during an Africa tour for his foundation a few weeks ago — one that convinced Clinton he should not give interviews for a while — he vowed that he would unload with his real feelings about the campaign after the general election: “I have very strong feelings about it.”
Paul Begala, a longtime aide to the Clintons, said he was not surprised that the two of them have acted differently in the wake of the campaign.
“Hillary is very goal-oriented, and so the goal shifted from ‘I’ve got to win’ to ‘Barack’s got to win,’” Begala said. “With Bill Clinton, the transition was harder because he wasn’t the candidate. It’s difficult when the candidate [and the target of Obama’s primary campaign] is his wife.”
John F. Harris is editor in chief of Politico and the author of “The Survivor: Bill Clinton in the White House.”
Inadvertently posted before finishing the intro; that should read, from the Cole Porter song, “Another Opening, Another Show,” from the Broadway musical, “Kiss Me Kate.”
If the DNC desides to award someone that has (and knowingly does so) comments voter fraud…i will have nothing to with that party EVER again…. there is a time in your life you have to take a stand…. I have taken mine… So im sorry to say that means in 2012 also…. I just can’t do it.. wont happen.

My reply to Margery Eagan was posted. (couldn’t get first line fixxed.):
” This is supposed to be Barack Obama%u2019s convention” Excuse me, but I thought it was the Democratic National Convention where many voices and many opinions are heard. I must have been in the ozone too long with Darragh and other PUMAs who still think that a fair, unbiased democratic process is still something worth fighting for. It is so easy, demeaning and simplistic to refer to “Hillary fanatics” when writing about those who are working so hard to bring about reform within the Democratic Party.

“Give them some space, folks.”
““““““““
I get what you’re saying but we’re in a time pinch now, if you believe like many of us that it’s now or never, space is a luxury we cannot afford right now. If anyone relay’s the messages posted here to Hillary and her advisers, I want them to know that the real honor, would be seen in throwing caution to the wind and insisting on a REAL vote, then let the chips fall where they may. If BO is soooo hot, then he should have no worries!
There is NO SHAME IN GIVING IT ALL YOU’VE GOT , win or lose. The shame would only be in giving up and letting down the people who believed in you and have sacrificed time and money, heart and soul. We are down to the wire. America needs a true American to stand up and lead. Now!

Did you notice the invisible gun to Hillary’s head in that video on hillaryclinton.com? I’ve never seen her so wooden and rehearsed.
And if Carville wore Puma sneakers and he didn’t get the connection, you can bet his wife Mary Matalin did and she mentioned it to him.

I respect your opinion. Food for thought! I have a lot of patience as a teacher.
I’m in Denver and can’t figure out which march are we supposed to be going to today? Two marches doesn’t seem real smart, have we perhaps decided to combine the two marches? Looking for marching orders from you folks. There’s 6 of us wanting to know where to go.
We do have to remember that Hillary will do amost anything to get united Heath care … she is in a way still looking in the future… she has worked 35 years for it
If I’m searching for hope and inspiration…..I go to church.
And when I get home …..Nothing’s Changed.
If Hillary is to go down…..she needs go down with honor and FIGHT for what is RIGHT!

Hillary actually has a VERY difficult speech tonight! A LOT is expected of her!!!
*She needs to honor the 88th anniversary of women: http://womenshistory.about.com/od/suffrage1900/a/august_26_wed.htm
*She needs to soley honor her supporters.
*She needs to mark her journey as history making.
*She needs to also respect Obama and his supporters.
*She needs to speak of unity.
*She needs to show that there is no doubt that she supports Obama and she wants a democrat in the White House.
HOW CAN she do ALL OF THAT without rubbing one group wrong?? Tricky.
Personally, I think her speech will be amazing, but I know it’s not going to be everything I want it to be.
You Puma’s in Denver are doing a great job! I check the board everyday to try and keep up with you. Good luck in your endevours today!
Yes, cut them some slack. Read this article by the NYT who seems to have some back knowledge.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/26/us/politics/26assess.html?_r=1&hp&oref=slogin
Here’s a quote from the NYT article:
“Frustrations abounded most pointedly for Mrs. Clinton: at a breakfast with New York Democrats on Monday morning, she was forced to rebut a new television advertisement for Senator John McCain that used her past attacks on Mr. Obama against him. And she faced questions about comments from Clinton friends that Mr. Clinton remained aggrieved from the bruising primary battle and was unhappy with his speaking assignment at the convention.”
Note the word “forced”. I hope Senator Kennedy will live long enough to see how he has destroyed this party. This whole scheme was devised by him.
I just sent letters out to state ags office as well as governor of my state, Tim Pawlenty.. I haven’t been watching much of the convention because it makes me ill but has anyone mention Stephanie Tubbs Jones. I thought maybe MO would but didn’t hear the whole speech. Stay safe in Denver
Here’s one that will make PUMAs steam: Cafferty (remember the name)
http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/08/25/cafferty.clintons/index.html?imw=Y&iref=mpstoryemail
I would love it if Hillary just made her speech about women’s suffrage, her historical candidacy and record breaking accomplishments, and her supporters.
Yes, that is all I want to listen to.
Rtr4Hill: where are you in MN? I am originally from Mpls/St. Paul.
The Clintons are being forced – - please read the NYT article I posted.
Okay – as usual – I’m confused…..are we supposed to be contacting the news, Attorney Generals, SDs or what?
***** LEFT ON FOX NEWS ARTICLE ******
Is there enough time and space to say: The leaders of the DNC and the Main Stream Media have turned this situation into the debacle it is today. Instead of both of them vetting the then Junior Senator and behaving like mature grown ups, no they drank the Kool-Aid and closed their eyes to the reality of all the problems that Obama presents for the voters.
I have had an Independent streak for some time, and now I am a registered Independent. The Democrats can no longer count on my vote and while I deplore what has happened during the primaries, I can see the mobilizing of like minded fellow citizens who are exercising their right of Free Speech. More people are getting involved in the politica process and more people are educating themselves as to how it works. That is a good thing.
Our democracy is too important not to pay attention. Our democracy must be preserved. And we must all become more aware of how each one of us can make a difference. I found that I can make a difference and I am now a proud member of the Just Say No Deal Coalition of disinfranchised voters.
The Democratic party must be held responsible for this debacle and there must be a shake up of the party leaders. GO PUMA!!!!
KEEP ROARING!!! KEEP DEMOCRACY ALIVE!!! EVERYONE EXERCISE YOUR RIGHTS AND SPEAK UP!!!
Love the McCain ad with Debra.
Here’s a list of convention contacts with fax numbers. I think we need to tell Obambi we will not support him and also send him a copy of our letters to the AG and SOS.

PA is done.
Terry McCauliff on FOX right now. Details being worked out right now by Obama. It is his convention. What ever they want we are for.
It is stricking so many will not vote for Obama. Why? What is is about Obama? Is it just bitterness?
Terry: Some people do not like to loose. If we are having this conversation in October, then we will have real problems.
Obama and Hillary will hit it out of the park.
How much contact with Bill?
Terry: Been lots of TC calls. She got 18 million votes, but it is not about Hillary. It is abouthealth care bla bla bal
SENT LETTER I SENT TO PA ATTORNEY GENERAL TO ALL THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA TOO……. PROWL DONE!!!
I contacted news medias yesterday, time after time.
GREAT IDEA!
I think PUMA’s in Denver should tell the foreign press EXACTLY what we are upset about. Give caucus fraud details, Dean and Brazile giving certain districts more power, show the caucus/primary numbers problem (little caucus gave Obama HUGE delegate advantages), Michigan and Florida (and the DNC committee’s vote to take from Hillary and give to not on ballot by choice Obama), Obama was never ‘vetted’ by the Media (and yet Hillary had every detail of her person examined daily!) telling the female candidate to drop out, link them to the MAD AS Hell youtube video, etc.
Also, remind them that the United States of America would never allow this fraud to take place in a foreign country. We would be all over it.
If flyers can be made with the negaitive “high lights” of this primary then they can be given to the foreign press.
This must get out to the world!!!!!
Flowerchild2 You are right. This was devised by Kennedy. Said it from day 1. He wanted a puppet to control. He just didn’t realize he won’t be around to exercise that control. About that fact, I am not the least bit upset.

Trish thank you for the beautiful video. I can’t sit and watch it without tears. All of the videos everyone has provided has just been stunning.
Today is such an important day in history. Women need to remember how far we have come, and yet how far we still have to go. I am so proud to be a part of this HERSTORY in the making. Thank you PUMA.
Is there anyway, anyone could list all the names of the women in Trish’s video? I would love to be able to know who they are and what mark they left on this world.

Does anyone know if we can get a link to this? I think it ocurred between 6:30-7:30?
It was incredibly snarky and uncomfortable…yet beautiful.
#64TrishfromCanada: Thank you, Trish, for your excellent summary, commentary, and anaylsis of the speeches. May I add: The political arena has, infact,
become a TV sitcome. And, that, in itself, accounts just as much as corruption, for most, if not all, of the Gulag tactics of delegate floor
handling, deconstrutive , so called “whips” with functions totally opposite than their traditional functions, hertofore, in the process and in the convention, plans for timining of delegate release and a call for unanimous support of Obama and many other details enumerated here and those not even known,
This convention and,in fact, every detail of the Obama campaign reveals and mirrors the reality that the political arena has been permanently modeled as a mass media, TV sitcom or process.
For the first time in history, not just in my lifetime, this is the fact.
This is as important afactor in what needs to be altered or changed in this process as is the corruption.
To one from Canada and to all others , I might simply say. the great 60′s and perennial cultural critic and “prophet” Marshall McLuhan’s ….The medium is the message” has finally, and I hope, not irreparably been proven far too accurate.

Hillary’s followers are ready to follow her in battle.
4 years from now …I don’t think the mind-set will be there…..She will be history. She will have her accomplishments….but she will never have achieved the highest position in the world.
I hope she reconsiders……But if speech is all about supporting BHO….Her future chances of Presidency will be over.
Hello Denver Pumas and Pumas everywhere
My business has picked up a little so my limited time is even less now but my business is PEOPLE and I do have a big mouth and I think of myself as a frustrated investigative reporter and I tell you Pumas,
NObama has no chance of winning the general election!
I get the same thing from all races and genders, middle class, They just don’t trust him.
Most do like him, especially his little girls, but they just don’t trust him.
The younger ones want to be different and hip, most of them support NOBO.
But they’re not re reliable voters!!!
And from now till November when the excitement wears off they’ll lose interest, most won’t bother voting.
The worst that this fiasco will boil down to?
Hillary may go down with the sinking NOBO ship.
I got that comment by clicking on the Boston Herald link at the top of the article posted above these blog comments.

Virginia PUMA: my heart aches at all of this. Last night’s tribute to Kennedy – - with the segment saying that he and Obama would lead the way for healthcare. No, I have no sympathy for Ted. Without his money and his family name, he would have been in jail, and not elected dog catcher after what he did to Mary Jo Koepecne. Talk about audicity – - to run for president after that, go to the conventon 500 delegates behind and fight his case against Carter, and then deprive senator Clinton with less than 100 delegates behind to do the same. And for what??? Competition with the Clintons so that the Kennedy Legacy is not lost. The legacy is President Kennedy was murdered, and we still don’t know by whom? They complain about 8 years of the Clintons when we have endured over what 40 years of the Kennedy’s? I hope he lives long enough to see how he has destroyed our party.

I agree with many, I am completely heart broken with all of this. Kennedy, well, he is just an idiot! But the people “in charge” they are shameful, disrespectful morons.

Yeah poor Teddy,
You’d think his mission for the last 45 years would be figuring out who killed JFK.
#229 PA Guy,
But that’s the problem. If she does NOT speak highly of Obama and go all out, there will be a tsunami of hateful media, and hateful political forces that will come her way. She is likely only thinking of 2012 now.
We all know Obama will lose, and McCain will be a one term president. Hillary will win it if she comes back in 2012.
It is too rigged now and it has been for many many months.
I am looking forward to Obama losing in the fall. He will never be able to run for president ever again.
#1~~~ Murphy, you are beyond wonderful and amazing. Thank you for starting this and carrying it through. You truly represent what democracy and the Suffragist Movement is all about. I love you and adoire you.
#2~~~ This one will make you cry, too~~~~
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfNMKhPyTwI&feature=email
#3~~~Yesterday, I sent the letter to the Washington State Attorney General and to the Secretary of State. Today I received a receipt from the AG saying it would be looked into within 10 days. So far I have not been able to reach anyone to get an email addy for them in Denver, but will keep trying.
#4~~~As for MO’s speech…….As much as I detest the woman, I have to give her credit for getting up there in front of the world and trying…….. But, then, who wouldn’t if their husband was running for POTUS and you had a shot at living in the White House? I thought it was too staged, too sacharin, and agree with Karl Rove’s assessment that she totally blew her best opportunity to make the points Obama’s campaign needed to make. I think she is still BO’s Achilles Heel.
Re: #235
I agree with you. This is all about the Kennedy’s legacy (or lack of it). It’s the Clintons who have made a long-lasting mark on the Democratic Party and the Kennedy’s can’t take it. It was HC who championed a health care plan and now they are taking that away from her. This is a party devoid of ideas. I derive some pleasure knowing they will accomplish nothing of substance without the Clinton’s help.
I’m at work so I can only pop in for short spans. Best. -Lara08
On the Kennedy presence in getting BO nominated, here is my take. John F. Jr. was supposed to be the next generation to take the Kennedy’s to the top in politics. Remember his speech at the 2004 (I think) convention that got a rousing reception. He wasn’t ready at the time, but I’m sure Ted was grooming him for the future. Well, we know what happened. I think Ted went to Caroline and told her that now it was up to her to carry on her fathers name in American politics. I think she was convinced to come out to campaign but had no desire for actual political office, hence the odd fierce support of the other candidate BO, not the Clinton candidate. But, make no mistake about it, when BO is done with them, he will shove them aside until he needs them again. I find this really sad.
*** TIME IS RUNNING OUT ***
This prowl was put together by jbjd (thank you jbjd!) and APPROVED BY MURPHY yesterday.
You can’t win the presidency if you’re not on the State’s ballot: We need to pressure the DNC to get us a full roll call vote by hitting them where it counts–letting states’ Attorney Generals and Secretary of State know that we don’t want our tax dollars used to pay for for unfair elections.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROWL
*First: Google the state’s Attorney General and Secretary of State. If you need help with this ASK SOMEONE!!!
*Second: CALL EARLY IN THE AM and/or fax and/or email. A sample letter–courtesy of Lisa–is below.
*Third: Post a note indicating the state you have prowled, to let bobram update the list.
*Last: Pumas rule! Grrrrrrrrr…….!!!!!!
Here is the letter Lisa wrote (thank you Lisa!) to send to your state’s Attorney General and Secretary of State.

Dear Attorney General _____________,
Subject: Objections to Special Status Granted to the Democratic Party on RI State Ballots
I am writing to you to protest the state of __________ allowing the Democratic party access to our state election ballots.
These problems affect the results of voting in all states, ___________ included. (I.e. see website http://www.lynettelong.com/caucusfraud/meals_prizes/ )
Sincerely,

jbjd, bobram, anybody else:
if this is unclear, incorrect, etc. let me know and i will fix.
Doesn’t it appear strange that the ONE who has proclaimed himself The One is having to beg to the Clintons to get him elected? How special is that? Like a child having to ask permission to go out and play, he has to suck up to not only the Clintons but 18 million of their supporters?
I won’t give MY permission for him to play at being president!

As far as the DNC ending Hillary’s political career. Well they are certainly trying however when they lose this general election the dim wits that carried out this obamanation will no longer be around because they will have ruined their own careers. Or else they will be around and the party will die. After the GE the dems are going to have to look for a popular and trusted leader to put them back together again. Hillary will be their only bet that I can see.
I too am looking forward to Bo losing in the fall. I am planning a big party and we are going to be watching MSNBC. Ha haaa ha undemure cackle!
PUMA,
Please take it easy on Teddy. JFK and MLK have been so badly slandered in likening to BO, that the Kennedy’s deserve some consideration. Ted has brain cancer. Is there some question about why his judgment may be impaired?

This was our hope too, that Hillary would go Independent – this is just too incomprehensable –
she added her voice to all the dems who are now telling us in unison to vote McCain.
I can’t bear to watch her sink with the NObama ship.
No but I would love to see a link ” Scarborough lit into our pal Shuster like I’ve never seen.”
I want Hillary now, do not get me wrong, but I see what is going on.
I hope our objectives are Hillary in 08 or Hillary in 12.
Getting rid of Dean, Pelosi, Kerry, etc etc…certain folks in the media as well.
I want to support all those who supported Hillary and stood with her.
I want caucuses abolished, and I want a changed superdelegate system.
So much more…
If Hillary doesn’t get it now, and she wants to run again for Senator in 2012, I want her to win. If she wants to run for president in 2012, we WILL BE prepared early enough to win it. We have learned a lot.
#242
If Hillary’s sells out now…there is no 2012!
She’ll definitely be “ol Politics and there will be something new on the shelf to look at…..
I certainly detect a great deal of undertandable anger here, but I think there are so many levels of issues this year that I believe that there is no quick solution.
I worry that if Hillary did somehow win the nomination, the party split would even be deeper.
I still think we must let the process flow to an acceptible end.
None of us here will ever vote for *61, but will do our best to keep him from the presidency.
I still feel, our year will be 2012, but, if I am wrong and Hillary does win in 2008, I will support her candidacy as best as I can.
I will not leave Hillary as my choice of candidate unless she really does not run again.
Reading all posts I sense a feeling of anger, discontent, dismay, etc etc. Hillary will take it to the floor without a doubt, those 300 signatures will be presented to put her name in the nomination, she will sign it. That is REQUIRED from both candidates for the nomination process to go through. Its not only Hillary who must present those 300 signatures for nomination, NObama has to do it too. The problem is the roll call vote that should be public but the DNC made it private, sudden change of rules in the middle of the convention. All delegates must cast a secret ballot and give it to their Party Chairman. What kind of security is given to those ballots it won’t be tampered? No one knows; this is beyond Hillary’s control. Once again, the DNC have shown how CORRUPT they are! NObama now is the leader of the democratic party, he is the presumptive nominee. There’s trouble within the party right now, they wanted President Bill Clinton to change his speech which is not agreeable to the former President. Pay close attention to Bill and Hillary speech.
To those who are new to this, fighting for something you believe is right; there is NO SHORTCUT for real change, it requires dedication, action and consistency. Hillary opened our eyes, our democracy is in DANGER. My question to all of you, how serious are you about real change? If this is just a passing fancy, heat of the moment; you’re in the wrong place. REAL CHANGE is hard, you’d cry, you’d experience all kinds of frustrations, you’ll question yourself if you’re doing the right thing. Frustrations will break down your defenses, it REQUIRES a lot of fortitude to swim against the tide. Never depend everything on Hillary, WE THE PEOPLE must do the biggest part of the work, that is our CIVIC DUTY as citizen of this country. If you have time, read the US CONSTITUTION and UNDERSTAND what is your CIVIC DUTY as citizen of United States of America.
Real change is HARDWORK, I know what its like, I’d been there; I’ve spent 16 years of my life fighting for change; when change took place, I cried like a child, my fight together with my friends becomes real but it was a hard fight, some of my friends didn’t witness the change we’ve fought so hard. What was my reward? My little brothers finally enjoyed TRUE DEMOCRACY. My fight was not for me, it was for them; I want them to have a better future to express theirselves, carve their own tomorrows without fear.
Every parents, when their son or daughter go out, they always say; “have fun with your friends.” My Mom always walk me to the door, gave me a big hug, her eyes getting misty and say, “please come home alive,” Dad would look at me during dinner time, stand up from the dining table and cry. My older brothers and sisters begged me to stop, they said change will come, “let others do it.” I said to them, “if you’ve said something before it started, I don’t have to stand up and speak out for all of you.” I did not fire a shot to do it, I use the GIFT God gave me, my brain and common sense. Some of my friends didn’t make it, they were liquidated; I remember all their faces up to now, what they wanted to achieved in life.
My question to all of you, how serious are you to correct the corrupt system of the democratic party? Their would hundreds upon hundreds of stumbling blocks laid out infront of you, are you ready to face it? Are you doing it only for yourself or future generation of your family and country? The seeds you’re planting today, you will not harvest it, but the young ones will, they will benefit from it. I can’t put into words the feeling you’ll have, but trust me, no amount of gold in this world can pay for it, it is PRICELESS. My nieces and nephews always say I have this “secret” smile; I watch them carve their own ambition to reality – they wouldn’t have that freedom to do so if I waited for others to do it.
Courage and bravery is not measured who can scream the loudest, who can pull the trigger the fast; it is measured through perseverance, a focus mind and the WILL to say I AM NOT A QUITTER.Get mad, scream, cry, let it out of your system, but don’t you quit; when you do, you make them win.
#251 ladyhawkke
are you doing the state list now?
Kat in your Hat…I couldn’t do it justice. It started when Shuster (major BO butt boy) accused Joe of not calling out HIS party (GOP) on negative attacks. Now, Joe has studiously tried to play non-partisan…in fact he has alienated the Rep. party. Joe morphed into a viciously sarcastic “Imus” style smackdown. He asked Shuster which was HIS party…and Shuster could only stutter and blubber while the other panelists were nervously laughing. Joe badgered him for about 3 minutes.

YES!!!
The week after the general election is when I will tune into CNN and MSNBC!
I’m preparing my emails to Jack Cafferty et al already.
PAGUY: I understand your position. My question, however, is..Do you think Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton believe that? And, whether, you, I, or anybody else would answer the affirmative, do you think we or whoever might assert the position have a clue what these two people think, know, will or will not do…
No, we don’t. We are watching master politicians here in these two. They know what went wrong in her campaign, and a lot did, they also know the status and condition of this party, for good or bad, ..
The issue you raise is a substantive one and one that will continue to receive attention now and in the future,
May this Pac and others continue to pay attention and further learn for good or bad the nature, tone, rhythmns
of politics. The most pragmatic human process, except for the foraging of food and water , on the face of the earth. good will to you, Pa and to all who will continue to pay attention to it all.
Karl Rove saying on fox that BO should have picked Hillary for VP, it would have been a winning ticket and a sure winner. Said it was a bad decision.
And Wolfson saying Hillary knows people are going to be watching every move she makes and every word she says in her speech tonight. Especially her supporters who are voting for McCain. Lots of pressure.
#259 NO, I’m not doing the state list, I just reposted because I added my name. Sorry if I wasn’t supposed to do that. Actually, I have done all I can do now and I’m going to go pay my bills and get some work done.

like your analogy!
Attorney General for South Carolina has been taken care of!
Hang tight folks.
THE STORY IS CHANGING
It will take a few days for this to become the main story but it is building big time:
THERE IS A BIG PROBLEM IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. HALF OF DEMOCRATS ARE SAYING THEY WILL NOT SUPPORT THE NOMINEE. THIS IS VERY BIG NEWS. WE HAD TO TAKE OUR MESSAGE TO DENVER TO MAKE SURE THIS BECAME THE STORY — AND WE HAVE SUCCEEDED.
WE HAVE SUCCEEDED.
THANKS TO YOU.
I just got off the phone with Radio Ireland — going on KGORadio in CA at 11am mountain time.
The BBC later today.
THE FOREIGN PRESS IS ALL OVER THIS.
no one talks about racism anymore. No one is talking about “bitter crazy fringe holdouts.”
THE STORY OUT OF DENVER IS THAT THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS FACING A POLITICAL DISASTER. A POLITICAL DISASTER. SHALL I SAY IT AGAIN?
A POLITICAL DISASTER.
Obama needs a 15 point bounce over McCain coming out of this — a 15 point bounce. Anything less is EXTREMELY OMINOUS.
PUMA PAC — WE DID IT. WE DID IT. WE DID IT.
I want to see the segment where scarbough takes on shuster…… Where can we see this? fOX this am between 6:30 and 7:30

Please remove my name. It was sent by mistake.
MURPHY–
Do we keep up the AG prowls? Let us know what we “bitter crazy fringe holdouts” should do, LOL.
#49 Mac – “they will stop the vote if it looks like BO is not going to win”
Isn’t that what Putin did in the Soviet Union, um, er, I mean Russia?
Hillary DOES have a choice, but it’s one that will take more political courage than I have seen in many many years.
doria:
OH I wish I saw that!! LOL, sounds so good. Shuster is such a moron.
PA Guy:
I know how you feel, it’s just cut throat politics, and political self-preservation. We will see what happens. The Clinton’s will have the last word one day.

“Hillary DOES have a choice, but it’s one that will take more political courage than I have seen in many many years.”
“““““““
She has shown she has that kind of courage. Will she use it? That’s the big question.

Watched videos upthere, second one made me cry. This week is crazy, we are seeing so much stuff going on, republicans are totally using Hillary as a weapon to crush Obama, but in reality, it is Obama’s fault. No one is pushing Obama to hang around all those anti-American people, and it is not Hillary’s fault the he has no expirience. Wait until we see the Republican convention, and if Obambi looses, OMG!
Will on fox now

IF YOU GO AND USE AN ONLINE FORM IT WILL BE STUCK IN AN OFFICE LIST FOR WEEKS BEFORE ANYONE SEES IT. WEE NEED THESE TO BE SEEN TODAY.
Call directly to the secretary for these people and ask for an email or fax where this can reach them in Denver. Ask if you can send it directly to their personal secretary and what her/his fax number and name are.
My understanding is that to make this have the desired effect- we have to get a good portion of these letters to the intended recipients like TODAY.
The response we want is for these officials to groan and go “oh no… these dang PUMAS are going to wreak havoc on my office for the next 3 months if Hillary doesn’t get her roll call vote”, and they are going to march right over to Coward Dean and say “look, we don’t want to deal with this. this is YOUR fault, now GIVE HER HER VOTE”.
Here is the letter to send to your state’s Attorney General and Secretary of State. You can google their addresses and phone numbers online.

Pumas in DENVER, are you seeing any of these kooks?
Here is an off beat post with photos from Denver. Some folks really hate America, huh?
http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/08/26/a-report-from-denver/
Hi Pumas,
Just got back from a quick trip to the strip mall – had to get a birthday card for my sister – in all of this excitement forgot her birthday is tomorrow – so I’m looking through the cards and I see a card with Hillary’s face on it – wow – so I pick it up and it shows Hillary sitting at a desk with flags, etc and a name place that says “President Hillary Clinton” – then I opened it up & I went ballistic – said “see there are scarier things than having another birthday” – I grabbed all of them and took them to the clerk and told her that I found the card very offensive and that I wanted them removed – also said, if not I would notify the Snyder Drug headquarters and let my wrath be known
Then when I finished finding what I wanted – I apologized to the clerk and said I shouldn’t have gotten so angry at her (young woman in her 30′s maybe) but I was just so tired of the sexism and beating up of Hillary and women during the past election season and also that today was the 88th anniversary of the passage of the 19th amendment when women got the right to vote – she expressed surprise and said she didn’t know that – so I told her – you do now…………….
I’m going back to the store in a couple of days to see if the cards are gone or if they put them back on the shelf – I’m hoping for the former or they will see one angry PUMA…………..
Murphy – Radio Ireland? That is so impressive – we are going international!!! It is a testament the strength of our message that it is being heard “across the lake” as they say!!
I hope the Irish offered you a toast with a MURPHY’S STOUT, because you, MURPHY, have been STOUT in your leadership of our movement!!
Don’t be ashamed, Dr. Roos. We aren’t like the cowards on the other side who hide behind anonymity. We have a voice, and that voice is only powerful if there is a face, a person, a heart beating behind it. I admire your courage.
#251Headclunker: May I remind you and others Headclunker that it was Teddy, himself, who linked BO in public to JFK? It was Teddy, himself, to whom by his own written remarks BO went to immediately after going to the US Senate and conferred regarding a future run for the Presidency, and from whom , he received an affirmative response? It was, Teddy, himself, who in public, stated Hillary Clinton was not the appropriate person to join as VP in, as he called it, this noble process of BOS campaign. And, finally, it was Teddy, himself, who along with Kerry, Dodd, Leahy, Daschle, Pelosi, and others put this no count fraud, Obama, before the 2004 convention and introduced him to the public, national arena. The Obama campaign is and was an internal move by the failed Eastern liberals to forever remove the Clinton’s from any leadership in the party. Defeat of Obama now is not just necessary for the sake of our country but as a repudiation of this move. Impariment of judgement by Teddy Kennedy has been in some people’s mind, long standing.
It is not slander to him to articulatethe facts, ones that he very purposefully generated quite a while ago and hopes to see to fruition, brain tumor or not.
For the record as well, I sent among thousands a heart felt email to him after the news of his illness. In it I stated my opposition tohis candidate and reasons as well as a salute to his service over the years to thegoals of the traditional Democratic Party.
Anything coming to TK regarding his political moves of the last 5-6 years, which is how long this Obama Egg has be gestating , has little or nothing todo with his illness, for which , for him..I pray.
267 MURPHY AND DENVER!!!
Congratulations and thank you so much for all you are doing. I am crying right now (again)
this is going to be a hard day.
I MISSED Will on Fox. grrr. Who talked to him and what did he say?
Good news MURPHY – in fact GOOD NEWS everywhere today – one of my personal friends is a delegate at the convention and told me just now that the AG of their State has told the chairman of their State they better push for a complete roll call – THIS DOES WORK – thank you to everyone that has put their time and effort into this –

The Gallup Poll Daily usually comes out around 1 pm EST. Do we have any takers on a wager that the tie breaks in McCains favor?
I’m just soo HIGH on what’s happening!
and happy that I can post again.
I wish I was there would y’all.
I read Ed’s Texas Hill Country speech, and I think it was so inspiring and appropo.
I praise you leaders for making it happen for the rest of us.
PUMA LUV and HUGS!
#267 MURPHY, GREAT NEWS!! PUMAS ROAR!!! WE ARE FAMILY, WE WILL STICK TOGETHER TO FIGHT THE EVILDOERS!!
What is all this discouragement PUMAs???? Remember, in America black men got the vote in 1870. The Suffragettes fought for another 50 YEARS to get women the vote finally in 1920! Historically this country will select a black man before a woman. Remember, Hillary Clinton is doing what she is forced to do to stay alive politically. Don’t stop fighting!
#311 NewOrleansPuma – just read your post – thanks – I wrote this same piece of info a couple of months ago – kennedy was angry that after Bobby was assassinated that he was not selected at the convention – crap all stems from there – took him 40 years but he finally thinks he got payback……………………..
Read Ricki Lieberman’s article from last night here

I am confused about the letters to the AG in states. If your state is done does the letter not need to be sent?

CHECK OUT ANGRY PUMAS!!!
http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2008/08/26/pumas/index.html
THAT’S MY HEAD WITH HILLARY’S FACE! LOL.. AND I AM MENTIONED~ HEHEHEE
GROOOOOOOOWWWLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!
—————————-
LOL. My favorite line:
Matthews looked as though he might wet himself as a camera panned the crowd, and he declared, “We’re at ground zero!”
(Well that and “grumpy old white chicks.” [Their words. No offense to those PUMAs not in that category.])
Yes, there is some anger and disappointment on the blog today. I just want the Clintons to see that the Dem Party does not and will never want them to succeed (as was discussed on riverdaughter’s blog today or recently). She needs to take this to the floor of the convention. As far as this being divisive, the party is already split. At the very least her move would be the one honest thing that has been done by anyone in politics for years.
Go Hillary ’08! Take it to the floor of the convention! Who cares what anyone says. They will vilify you no matter what, so you might as well act as a male candidate would. A male candidate would totally fight this, so why not you?!
#302 lisa
I faxed and e-mailed the letter (#268) to Attorney General Jim Hood in MS. You are right about faxing the e-mail as the AG was out of the office until Fri.
Thanks
#258 Asian4Hillary
Thank you for the powerful commentary.
You and your family’s struggles should inspire us all.
We did it ….Hmmmm.
We disrupted a un-”CON”-stitutional election process.
Hillary is not the Nominee….Yet!
Hillary needs to realize all sacrifices made to make:
#1 America a better place, and
#2 Clean up and restore faith in the Democratic Party.
She cannot stop here!
#311 NewOrleansPuma
I know Teddy did wrong. But I have seen BO in operation and cannot help but believe BO saw an opportunity in Ted being out of balance with his illness and exploited it.
PUMAS IN DENVER, are you going to the 18 Million Voices March TODAY?
http://clintondems.com/2008/08/march-details-from-18-million-voices/
I hope so!
Boxer on Fox: Practically a tie. I was neutral. But this is shattering the glass ceiling for everyone. We should all be thrilled about Obama.
Right now a woman has just as good a chance as a man to win. No.. sexism did not play a role.

I am confused about the letters to the AG in states. If your state is done does the letter not need to be sent?
——————
We need all the states but the more letters they get, the greater the impact.
258 Asian4Hillary~~~ THAT post brought tears to my eyes and sent shivers all over me.
And THEN, I read Murphy’s wonderful news, got tears and shivers all over again over the proof of what you say.
We must still keep in mind the goal we are striving for, the good life we are trying to attain. We cannot let little things divert us from the path.
Do not be overcome by the small trials and vexations of each day. Try to see the purpose and plan to which all this is leading.
If, when climbing a mountain, you keep your eyes on each stony difficult place, how weary is your climb. But if you think of each step as leading to the summit of achievement form which the glorious landscape you crave to see will open out before you, then your climb will be endurable and you will achieve your goal.
Life without goals and striving is futile.
The ceiling is only cracked…..”Finish the job Hillary!”
It would really be nice if MSM reflected what Murphy has just told us!!!
#322 mkp651 KEEP SENDING THE LETTERS, THE MORE THE BETTER, WE NEED TO FLOOD THEM WITH COMMENTS.
Barbara Boxer is an idiot, she drank the kool-aid, BO is not winning the women’s vote.
Boxer trying to placate us. Poor dears. It is tough loosing an election.
Give me the email for this segment right now on FOX
Boxer is on Fox throwing Hillary voters under the bus..She lost an election so she understands. They just don’t get it!

Great news from both of you!
I just logged on to say that the ag/sos prowl is taking hold, I sent it out to several other websites and media. I have gotten really good responses from others off the blog.
Please keep doing the prowls, especially the attorney general prowl.

Good morning ,
A quick run by.
Truth is a woman does have as much chance as a man to win. In the general. Not in the (un) democratic party.
It seems “leaders” forgot who really won the war.
Now they shall learn.
It’s not that we lost, it’s that we didn’t lose and then we got treated like cr*p afterwards. In the spirit of being topical, I am reminded of that Olympic wrestler in Beijing who threw his bronze metal on the floor and everyone called him a bad sport. It turned out that he was right and the judging had been unfair. Don’t know what has been done since then, but sometimes when you know you are right you can’t just smile and hope someday the wrong will be corrected. If we keep speaking out it is because we know we have a point.
Wondering if Murphy meant half the delegates or half of the Democrats in general. Would love some more info on that so maybe we could make a media prowl out of it.
Any offers on my wager of #316? If BO is still tied or up, I pay. The loser donates $10 to their favorite fund.
Big Dog is being monitored, will get a 5 second delay on his speech.
This is it for me the Democrats will never get my vote again
This is the video I did using the same song used in Clintonista’s video that I posted 6 days ago.

Oh, and the glass ceiling is gone. Hillary would win in the general. She would beat all the men because she is the best candidate for the job.
The only “glass ceiling” that exist is at the dnc.
Is anyone currently on here in Denver???
I didn’t notice Lou Dobbs in those media contacts. Does anyone have dobb’s e-mail, he thinks the whole process stinks.

*** UP FOR DOING A PROWL??? ***
This prowl was put together by jbjd (thank you jbjd!) and APPROVED BY MURPHY yesterday. Let’s keep up the momentum!!!
You can’t win the presidency if you’re not on the State’s ballot: We need to pressure the DNC to get us a full roll call vote by hitting them where it counts–letting states’ Attorney Generals and Secretary of State know that we don’t want our tax dollars used to pay for for unfair elections.
See post #247 for details. Not reposting in the interest of slowing down the blog.
It’s working! The AG of at least one state has told the chairman of their state they better push for a complete roll call!

It’s true in almost every situation and it took me 35 years (I’m 53) to realize that.
My daughter could have been dead, if I hadn’t started screaming at the doctors and threatening lawsuits.

TRISH, you just keep getting better and better. My emotions kept growing with the progression but I started to sob on seeing the picture of Murphy. With me it is all this pent up emotion of the the primary season and the subsequent events. Murphy will definitely join these women in history of women’s movements. PUMA PAC is not going anywhere, it is here to stay and I believe it may well become a new Democratic Party as it grows and grows. Murphy definitely will join these women in history

If you want to know, I only watch Fox, but your protest at MSNBC was ON TV!!! I saw you guys yelling, and chanting, puma pac poster, Hillary shirts, Hillary signs, “manchurian candidate” sign was shown. I one Obama supporter yelling at you guys: A black man in a suit holding the Times Magazine with O on cover. Do you recall?? It was just him and then ALL of you guys yelling in his general direction.
I want you guys to go to 18 Million Voices March today. I hope you go!!
Thank YOU Asian for Hillary… post #258…. thank you for your wisdom.

“Go Hillary ‘08! Take it to the floor of the convention! Who cares what anyone says. They will vilify you no matter what, so you might as well act as a male candidate would.”
“““““““““`
WELL SAID! CAN WE SHOUT THIS LOUD ENOUGH FOR HILLARY TO HEAR IT? No more political posturing from anyone please. PLEEEEEEEASE, somebody stand up and do the right thing JUST BECAUSE IT’S THE RIGHT THING TO DO !!!
The McCain camp issued a statement several days ago stating that Obama is expected to get a 15 point BOUNCE from convention. They base this on prior conventions in history.
Anything less than a 15 point bounce is horrible.
If the bounce quickly falls back down (like within 2 weeks) it will be the worst sign.
Yes, Gallup 46 McCain and 44 BO for the first time in months.
OBAMA IS TOAST!
Gallup Daily: No Bounce for Obama in Post Biden Tracking NEW August 26, 2008
Gallup Poll Daily tracking interviewing from Saturday, Sunday, and Monday indicates that Barack Obama has received no bounce in voter support from his selection of Sen. Joe Biden to be his vice presidential running mate. The race remains virtually tied with John McCain now slightly ahead 46%-44%.
http://www.gallup.com/poll/109834/Gallup-Daily-Bounce-Obama-Post-Biden-Tracking.aspx
Congratulations on the impact you are having PUMAs!
I agree with those of you who say HRC has to put the petal down right now and run BHO over with his own bus. 2012 is not going to happen. If BHO does get elected (I just threw up a little bit from thinking about that), he is the nominee for 2012. But more likely Jmack wins and HRC is the scapegoat.
Can you imagine the pundits and party leaders? Their hand selected golden boy can’t lose because he was a godawful choice can he? Then it would be their fault. To preserve themselves, HRC will be vilified like nothing you have ever seen.
Her time is now. She should march right up to that podium and tell the world exactly what the DNC is trying to pull and throw all the dirt she has on BHO right in Dean’s eyes. Maybe she wins maybe she doesn’t. But she will do fine with book deals and lecture fees even if she loses. Personally, I think she might even pull some moderate Republicans.
McCain 2 points UP UP UP!!!
Reminder to everyone to do the prowl mentioned at post #17… take a look at the sample letter on the link… it’s an excellent important prowl.
Be sure to make the point that while we understand the rules of the DNC Party are not a concern of the state.. there still is a certain level of expected processes that we (as taxpayers) expect in order for them to receive the priviledges of having their candidate on the ballot. If they fail to abide by these expectations of fair and valid nomination processes, then they should not receive the benefits of having their nominee on the ballot until they are held accountable.
mzebest posted earlier that FOX blog wants to hear from PUMAs. here’s a link:
http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/08/25/republicans-want-hillary-backers-to-switch-sides-will-they/all-comments/#comments
bmw 60 — I agree that this election has enlightened many of us to hold our elected officials accountable. There is all this hype about how Obama’s campaign has capitalized on the internet, and garnered the vote of the young *new* democrats.
Why is there no hype as to the PUMAs use of the internet…to research and probe and reach out?
Also, the MSM hopefully, will rue the day that they decided to endorse an unvetted candidate. Look at what PUMAs and other members of the Just Say No Coalition have unearthed by virtue of the members willing to investigate the facts! It is a good thing that we have kept the MSM advised of all that has been discovered — and that we all have a record of our emails — that fact alone will invalidate the professionalism of MSM journalists…when, at the end of the day, they have some explaining to do.
For now, CNN and MSNBC have PUMAs labeled as “crackpots.” I truly feel that these guys will be eating crow in November.
Today I heard on CNBC that Obama is losing steam in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Florida! This is huge news — I haven’t heard it on any other station (but I’m not watching non-stop either). These are major swing states and that the results do not show a bump for Obama after his VP pick, and on the week on the Dem. Convention is amazing! I strongly feel that PUMAs deserve a big pat on the back.
Also, on FOX this morning, one of their reporters who is reporting from the floor, stated that Hillary and Obama delegates are really going at it — Hillary delegates are sticking to their guns. This is also HUGE news — again, PUMAs deserve so much credit for the effort to reach out to Hillary delegates. FOX may be the only cable network willing to admit that PUMAs have their mojo going. Thank goodness FOX carries the most viewers!

how did you do that? lol.
clear instructions re: AG prowl on post #247, FYI
Gremlins are around; my post didn’t go through. I’ll try again.
I read many of the posts, some I could not understand.
What do some of you want Hillary to do?
She can’t go out there and say she won the popular vote, and she should be the nominee. She would be booed off the stage.
Hillary has too much class to do that. She knows she was cheated out of the nomination. Don’t believe for a moment that she and Bill don’t have a list of people they will deal with later.
She fought hard for all of us. A smart person knows when it is over. I wanted this nomination for her more than anything. I’m sure the “good old boys” never believed she would get 18 million votes. That was why they had their closed door meeting that night of the last primaries.
They had to finish their dirty work and “select” bo as the nominee.
It will break my heart tonight when she releases her delegates, and says she will vote for bo.. She made me proud to be a woman. She gave me a sense of power I never had before. Thank you Hillary.
I will vote for John McCain. I trust him with our Country.
He loves this Country. He risked his life for his Country.
I will always be for you Hillary no matter what.. You won; I know that.
OMG… gallup poll finally has McCain ahead too.

is there a station we can listen to to hear Murphy ??
I am tired of Mccain using Hillary in his ads.. He needs to start something new. It only makes us look very used …Wish he would put nobama on instead. He has plenty of issues
I emailed prowl letters last night and FAXED them today to Ohio Attorney General office and Ohio Secretary of State office.
FAX numbers for those in OHIO;
Nancy Rogers 1-614-466-5087
Tougher to get for Jennifer Brunner but I DID it! Had to call her executive secretary on her cell phone and asked for Jennifer’s fax number.
Secretary wanted to take a message. Okay, I asked her if she had a lot of paper and a pen. I started out with “I have an objection to special status granted to the democratic party on Ohio State ballots”….she gave me the fax number!
Here it is for Jennifer Brunner;

Dear Media Personnel,
I believe the time has come for ALL News media outlets
to start reporting THE TRUTH, THE FACTS – THE NEWS!
On August 21, 2008 a Federal Law Suit was filed in Pennsylvania
by Attorney Phil Berg. All of the details of this law suit are available
On the following website: obamacrimes.com.
This Gist of it is that Barak Obama is being sued for several reason but the
main complaint is that he is NOT ELIGIBLE to run for the Presidency of the
United States of America. He is either NOT a citizen or holds DUAL citizenships
which, as you may know, renders one ineligible to run for President of the United States.
Another main complaint in the law suit is that Barak Obama has indeed lied
on his bar application when asked what other name he has legally been known by,
his response was “none”. We all know this is NOT the case. He was legally known
as Barry Soetero for quite some time during his residency in Indonesia. This is fraudulent and
unacceptable.
One last complaint to notice is that the Birth Certificate posted on his Web page
is a FAKE. It has been deemed as altered by 3 forensic experts. The original name
on that Birth Certificate is his sister’s name – NOT HIS. This is fraudulent and unacceptable.
Please investigate the matter as there are millions of people already aware of these facts
and it makes your news station look like completely incompetent news reporters.
We will be following up with this matter soon.

Everyone interviewed so far is looking to Hillary to fix this “puma” “clinton supporters” for them. They actually believe she has the power to convert all of us when all they did was strip her of any power she DID have. Oh sick sick sick. Hill could walk up to my door one day after work, in the worst Congress in history, and I would still say absolutely NOT.

THANK YOU FOR THE FABULOUS PICTURES!!! Pumas are doing an AMAZING job in Denver!
PUMAS, can you believe McCain is leading in the Gallup Poll during the Democratic Convention? When are the Party Leaders going to wake up for goodness sake?
#419 rtr4Hill,
McCain is playing a brilliant strategy. He is showing that opposition to Carpathia is universal.
The dnc banked on anti republicanism to win the general.
Thats why Dean and company engaged in all their dirty tricks.
Think about what a lousy candidate Carpathia really is and how mindless it was to try and run him.
The dnc dumped all over Hillary and now McCain is going to make them eat their own garbage.

Pelosi says polls shortchange Obama
http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20080826/pl_politico/12839
Mike Allen 44 minutes ago
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told convention-goers Tuesday morning that polls are underestimating the strength of Barack Obama, contending he will win with the support of new or intermittent voters, who are not generally polled.
“I’m very comfortable with those polls,” Pelosi said at a rooftop breakfast panel near the Democratic National Convention. “I think he is trouncing him. I want more of a spread, of course — I want it all.”
The thing to remember about the Daily Gallup is that it is a running average of 3 days. For BO to be down by 2% after being tied and up, he must have gotten a single value of around 6% down.

GOOOOOO
Letter sent to news media. Yeah ha!
I just read backwards up the blog and caught Murphy’s “Alert.” This is what I was referring to in my earlier post (#407).
FOX reported early this morning that the Hillary and Obama delegates on the floor were sparring. Way to go, Murphy — I think PUMAs reached the delegates! They know we are behing them! This is great news!

Please do!!
The Clintonista video breaks my heart,..I want, have always wanted a floor fight. Things must be so much worse than is so very obvious to all of us within the struture of the party and the money supporting it to preclude such a move.
Having said that, TAKE IT TO THE FLOOR HILLARY!
If there is any space to do so, TAKE IT TO THE FLOOR HILLARY!
And, if you don’t or can’t for whatever reasons, we wil continue to assure that the no count fraud Alinsky monger is defeated in the fall, continuing withthe Attorney General, Secretary of State letters all the way to pulling the lever, in my case for MCain, and beyond.
Hi, Murphy!
Can someone give us an idea of what happened at the candlelight rally last night? How did the state roll call go? Is anyone carrying the signs we ordered?
I would also like more updates from Denver PUMAs. WHAT’S GOING ON DOWN ON THE GROUND?? We really want more DETAILS!!
Thanks, and keep fighting, PUMAs!

“Many of them are not even reachable by these pollsters,” Pelosi said. “These are polls of likely voters. Likely voters are people who have voted in the last two elections, and they are likely to vote again. They are not the universe of people who will vote on Nov. 4.”
Funny how “accurate” they thought those polls were when BO was riding high on the kool-aid wave!!!

MURPHY’S POST #267
Anybody coming on now, be sure to read Murphy’s post # 267!
In case some of you are too young to remember the Chappaquiddick incident involving Ted Kennedy here is a link. This is why many people do not respect Ted. He drove off a bridge while drunk and left the girl to drown slowly over a period of hours while he ran from the scene and did not try to get help. It is the sort of thing many people don’t forget.

Also, remember how the RBC discussed awarding delegates on the basis of exit polling? It seems that polls are only useful to the DNC when they indicate support for BO.
At this point, I would say that they’re being “worried” is probably putting it mildly.
#454 Lisa
FYI I put your letter and instructions for contacting AGs (including Murphy’s approval as a prowl) on post #247 and have been referring people back to it.
What do you think?
New poll numbers announced on Fox. Dead heat, 46 to 46. Guess this big circus in Denver didn’t impress anyone. Way to go!
GO, MURPHY!!!!!!!!!!!!
#410Headclunker: Then , certainly all the more reason to keep fighting….wish I could send a little portable glass cutter to attach to the top of your head to help in that effort! As that is impossible, I send all good wishes for more openings of the cracks for you and all!
Obama is behind in the polls during his own convention. It speaks volumes!

This is my comment I posted:
Its a sad day that we should read a woman columnist write an article such as this, on the day we celebrate the Anniversary of 88 years of women’s sufferage, giving them the right to vote. Margery, in case you haven’t gotten the memo, this night nor this convention belongs to Barrack Obama. It belongs to the Democratic Party, meaning and including the people who vote for this party, like the 18 Million voters who went to the polls to cast their vote for Hillary Clinton. The DNC broke the rules and appointed “The One” so now I will “for the first time in my adult life” vote Republican. Its a shame its come to this. By the way, PUMA stands for “People United Means Action.” OH, but you already knew that didn’t you? Sounds a bit more catty to say the other.

… then did a short post #355 for newcomers. (You weren’t here.) bobram has been keeping track of states.
Sorry, 46% McCain, 44% OB. Still good news as the VP announcement did nothing for BO
#452 NYCgirl
Check out Murphy’s #267 post and also SouthJersey blogs and photos above…should give you a sense of what’s happening. It made me wish I was there!
If you are seeing polling that is putting BO even or ahead of McCain, question the source. Gallup is more reliable and they have him dropping significantly.
The GOP does not want it to happen until next week so they are going to try to bolster BO for a few days. Don’t let us get fooled again.
I jsut logged on an saw the great ino from Murphy, post #267
This is huge and so good news. What great work Murphy and Everybody has done. You are all amazing.
I’m listening to Limbaugh…right now, you gotta love him. He states there are ads in key states (NOT being run by McCain), I forgot who he said the advertiser is, however, focusing on Ayers, big time. And, of course, Limbaugh focuses about Ayers being a terrorist and how he and BO have been close associates (canpaign support, etc) for the last several years. It seems that the BO camp is becoming very unglued about this and attempting counter arguments on these ads via the media as well. Gee, I wonder why. As Limbaugh states – If you are attempting to respond loudly (as BO’s camp is) it is because the information is true.
LET OUR VOICES BE HEARD AND MAY TODAY BE THE DAY THE GLASS CEILING CRASHES TO THE GROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

is correct. We must vote McCain. Every vote for McCain cancels out a vote for Obama. If we vote for Hillary then the vote from Obama counts with no off setting vote. Besides almost all states will not count Hillary votes unless Hillary authorizes them to be counted. Obviously she can not do that. So a Hillary vote is wasted.
I know this is complex. But we must think it out one step at a time and do it the best way.
We want to be heard. We must take power back from the corrupt. We must win this fight or the next fight will be harder to win. Remember the people in Russia are still fighting to get their power back after 80 years or forever. Hang tough. we can do it.
Take no abuse from the corrupt. Never vote for those who abuse us and corrupt our country. Stand up for the TRUTH and for FREEDOM.
I like the word freedom because in my spirituality I have come to know that God is love is freedom. So choosing freedom is chosing the power of god. In the long term Freedom will win out because in the long term god must win.
thanks jody. I keep logging in and out today and am not keeping up very well.
Obama is doomed…………..
Poor decision making by the DNC…….
#483 Kat in your hat,
Being an independent I never cared about which party won. Just who.
I odn’t care about putting a democrat in the white house and after seeing the behaviour of the “leadership” of the democratic party this year, the dems will have an incredibly hard time ever getting another vote from me.
I can assure you that a lot of independents hold the same views.
Either the dems clean up their own house or kiss the independents good bye.
Time for a third party I am thinking.

Thanks for the link…gotta give it to the McCain camp. They sure know how to answer the DNC and Obama. Wish the DNC leaders would “wake up” but sure doesn’t look like it right now. Pelosi won’t even acknowledge the Gallup Poll today. I think the DNC is counting on dead people and pets voting for Obama in November. Sort of the same fraud that took place in the Primaries.

The BO supporters are going to be our friends. They are going to take their own advise and vote for Hillary. I plan to offer them rides to the voting centers.

Huffington Post Reports on Pres Clinton Getting A 5 Sec. Delay
Posted on August 26th, 2008 by ryan2483
Bill Clinton’s Denver Speech to be on Five-second Delay
‘Just in Case,’ Convention Planners Say
Former President Bill Clinton’s speech at the Democratic National Convention in Denver Wednesday night will be broadcast on a five-second delay similar to that used to screen callers on talk radio programs, party officials confirmed today.
The five-second delay, customarily used to censor callers who might use profanity or other unacceptable speech on a radio show, has never before been used in the broadcast of a speech by a former President of the United States, experts believe.
But convention planners, nervous that Mr. Clinton might depart from his prepared remarks in an unacceptable way, said that they were using the delay “just in case.”
“We hope and expect that Bill Clinton will give a stirring and perfectly acceptable speech, by broadcast standards,” said DNC chairman Howard Dean. “However, if we see his face turning red and his forehead starting to throb, we’ll be there to pull the plug.”
For his part, former President Clinton said that he was “surprised” by the DNC’s decision to institute the five-second delay, but added, “It’s just like those motherfuckers.”
GO BILL!!! JUST LIKE THOSE MOTHER…KERS” LOL!!!

Yes, a Movement. One that I’d have been a part of months ago if I’d known about it.
This Movement is a top priority to me now. Needs to be a top priority across America.
PUMA bloggers seem to be very knowledgeable about our political times and what America needs to move forward in a most positive manner.
That is Hillary Clinton.
So, tell me, Bloggers -
Is there any way atall that Hillary could sweep the democrat nomination this week?
If so, how can I help?

Open Letter to Democratic Superdelegates
Rarely is one person given the opportunity and the responsibility to make a decision which will affect the future of their country. This is indeed such a time. It is as important a decision as the decision that citizens of this country made to revolt against the British government. It is as important a time as the moment that John Hancock decided to prominently sign his name, knowing that his signature would be considered treason punishable by death. Soon, each superdelegate will make a decision that will irrevocably usher in a time of corruption and political cheating or prosperity and a stable productive government. Such is the choice you have before you: whether to nominate Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton.
Barack Obama has no substantial experience in government, no distinguished voting record, and no history of patriotic service to this country. Further, he has no leadership experience, having accomplished little during his tenure in Illinois or the Senate. His only experience is as a community organizer, a woefully inadequate preparation for the presidency. However, due to positive exposure from the media and the DNC, he has managed to catapult himself beyond far more qualified candidates. Further, he won many delegates from caucuses, a troublesome sign given that widespread caucus cheating has been documented and caucuses do not fairly represent the will of the voters. He has alienated key groups of traditionally Democratic voters. Do not be lulled into thinking that new younger voters will compensate for such voters, as they represent a huge block of moderate voters who elected Bill Clinton president. Do not think that empty phrases of change and hope can substitute for hard-core experience and a love of this country. Barack Obama’s only agenda is to get elected. He neither knows how to run this country or to be loyal to it. His loyalty is to himself alone, and to the goal of being elected president.
Hillary Clinton has substantial experience and a desire to do what is right and good for this country. While the media and the DNC abandoned her, she stood firm and strong, propelled by the loyalty and needs of eighteen million citizens. With her perseverance and policy knowledge, she demonstrated that she can lead this country while she weathered adversity and stood alone against the media and the political establishment. Eighteen million citizens still believe she is the most qualified Democrat, and will elect her to the presidency of this country if she is nominated. How do we know this? Because she withstood tremendous pressure to drop out of the race, against all odds and against the disrespect of the media and political pundits. She was villified and ridiculed, but she stood firm in her resolve. We, the citizens, will not forget the treatment that she endured. We will remember it at the polls, and we will boycott the media that participated in the disgraceful bashing of a sitting senator. Their job was to inform the public of the truth, and to stand as a reminder that we should not elect a person because of race or gender; rather, we must elect the most capable leader. They have utterly failed in that task, and their only asset, their journalistic integrity, has been squandered. A fair, unbiased, free press is one of the cornerstones of democracy, and the American press has abdicated their responsibility, and therefore put our freedom at risk.
The media has betrayed its citizens in not reporting the truth about Barack Obama: he is the product of a corrupt political Chicago system, and is not capable of leading this country. He is simply a manufactured media image. Were he to be elected, he would flounder and put this country in great financial and national security danger. The leader of the free world must be a person of great integrity and deep experience, and Obama has neither. The citizens of this country will not reward superdelegates for choosing a nominee with a troubled past and a history of radical and criminal associations. If you choose such a nominee, it will be our duty to ensure that you are not re-elected, for you will have betrayed the trust of the citizens of this country. We, the citizens, have a message for you: if you nominate Obama, you demonstrate poor judgment, and we will vote you out for your lack of judgment and loyalty to our country. To those superdelegates who took money from Obama and switched their allegiance, we can only convey our contempt for your lack of integrity and leadership. Chicago politics has already taken control of the Democratic party; do not let it take over our government.
Think very carefully about the sacrifices our forefathers have made for this country. Their blood made it possible for this great country to survive and prosper. Do not betray their sacrifice. Now you, as superdelegates, are being asked to sacrifice far less to ensure the survival and prosperity of this nation. Do not let Wall Street money or Chicago politics distract you from the task at hand. Your task is no less than to vote for the survival of this great country. The future of our children and every patriotic citizen is in your hands. Take the defensible course, and nominate Senator Hillary Clinton as the Democratic candidate for president. Rogue nations and military dictators are waiting to take advantage of an inexperienced and far left-leaning president who neither understands policy nor the complexities of diplomacy. America stands as the model of freedom and democracy for the entire world. You must uphold those ideals, or be guilty of betraying the country and eroding our freedom, and indeed the cause of democracy, around the world.
We, the citizens of this great country, are watching your choice, and your loyalty, very carefully. We fear for this country, and our liberties, if you make the wrong choice. Stand up for your country now, or see it diminished. Do not underestimate the importance of this decision. The wrong candidate will bring about an economic depression and serious instability. China, Russia, and the Middle East are waiting for an American misstep. The survival of our country is at stake. Do not disrespect the forefathers of this great nation by choosing an undeserving and imcompetent candidate. Retain your legacy now, as a protector and defender of liberty, or be known as a traitor to democracy.
“In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.” – Thomas Jefferson
#522: wontbackdown:
YOU are not serious. Is that article a JOKE???
Bill Clinton said THAT??????
LINK!?!
That has to be a joke, or a rumor, or a lie someone posted.
Did Dean really say that?
what…
Open Letter to Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton
Shortly, the Democratic National Committee will nominate a candidate for President. Eighteen million voters cast their vote for you because they believed you had the experience, judgment, and patriotism to be president. Instead, an unqualified newcomer was selected by the media and the DNC based on rhetoric and empty promises. Backed by Wall Street money, created by media consultants, and pushed ahead by unearned delegates, a Chicago politician hijacked the Democratic primary.
We are now in an unfortunate situation in which a handful of superdelegates will choose the Democratic nominee. This will neither represent the will of the voters, nor will it represent what is best for our country. The superdelegates have not shown themselves to have the country’s best interests at heart. While the media and the DNC was bashing your candidacy, you stood alone against them, and neither the superdelegates nor members of your own party, save a few lone voices, stood up for you. We, the citizens, know you will be a great president, because the world watched you stand alone against adversity, and you did not waver. A president must do what is right regardless of public opinion, and you stood your ground despite the endless stream of disrespect unleashed against you. This country’s leaders should be ashamed that, with the exception of Geraldine Ferraro, no one spoke out to defend you. Unfortunately, many of those leaders proved to be followers in your time of need. Our citizens now know that many superdelegates have been bought and that they do not have the fortitude or integrity to lead this country.
Now the time has come to choose, and the citizens of this country do not want a president selected against their wishes. Eighteen million voters still want you to be nominated. We do not intend to abandon you. We will vote for you, and elect you president, but you must speak out to reaffirm your candidacy, retain your delegates, and fight against your own party. You will not be alone. Eighteen million voters stand with you, secure in the certainty that you have the knowledge and determination to be a superb president who will usher in economic prosperity and respect for America. The time is not in four or eight years, when too many uncertainties may take hold, but now. The time is now because our country is at a critical juncture. Before us looms an economic recession, a mortgage crisis, war in the Middle East, and spiraling energy costs. Foreign governments, using oil profits greedily gathered from American citizens, have bought stakes in our financial system. American urgently needs a competent president to navigate the country away from these imminent dangers, or run the risk of permanently diminished American prosperity and power. Obama can not win the presidency once his tainted past is widely understood and his political corruption is splashed across American televisions. Obama’s weaknesses will eventually be on display, ruining chances for a Democratic win. As the most popular politician today, only you have the power to win a Democratic presidency. Your time is now.
Although you are loyal to your party, a stark choice between party and country now stands before you. It is this country that you must preserve, protect, and defend, not the Democratic party. The Democratic party has not upheld the ideals of this country. As loyal Democrats, we intend to support our country’s best interests, even if that means abandoning our party. We refuse to blindly follow the Democratic party, which has betrayed its citizens by stealing delegates, forcing superdelegates to choose a preselected candidate prematurely, and tolerating caucus cheating. As citizens of this country, we intend to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution because the Democratic party refuses to do so.
Please stand with our forefathers, who fought and died for this country. Stand alongside the men and women who have made this country great. Stand now for your country, alongside eighteen million citizens, to assure its integrity, prosperity, and productivity. Do not allow the Democratic party to perpetuate this fraud on the American people. Stand firm, as you have always done, for our children and our future, and for our liberty. Reaffirm your allegiance to the eighteen million citizens that voted for you. It is to these citizens, and to your daughter Chelsea, that you owe your allegiance. We stand for the principle of country before party, and we respectfully request that you stand with us, now, when your country needs you most.
“America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves”.

In May, the Pew Research Center found that 22 percent of people polled had an unfavorable Copinion of Mrs. Obama.
In July, an Associated Press poll showed that she had a 35 percent unfavorable rating — versus a 30 percent favorable figure.
A couple of weeks ago, a the Rasmussen polling organization found that 43 percent of voters had an unfavorable impression of Mrs. Obama. (Of them, Rasmussen said, 24 percent said they had a very unfavorable view of her.)

Included among the several photographs of women in the video at the top of this blog to “Honor Women’s Suffrage” were two women of color: Maya Angelou, Poet Laureate and civil rights activist; and Rosa Parks, Secretary of the Montgomery NAACP, whose refusal to give up her seat on the bus to a white person sparked that city’s bus boycott. These three women were among the many women of color who made noteworthy contributions to the political tapestry of our country, but were left out of that video.

I understand Hillary has to do what she has to do. That is why i joined PUMA so i can direct my energy into positive endeavors to help Hillary and connect with others who feel the same way i do. And also help get the crooked people out of the DNC so someday i can come back. For now i am happy and grateful that PUMA exists and that we are paving a way for a brighter future for everyone!

Is there a way to listen to the KGO radio piece? I could not get the streaming to work live.
HI
I was unable to log on using my name JackieA had to create a new account. I don’t think we should give up on Hillary. She is doing what she has to do. I never watch CNN anymore, but this morning, I turned it on. I heard something that cheered me up, thought I would pass it on. One of the reporters said she has to show unity now, but if all Hillary supporters did not vote for BHO and he lost the election, Hillary would gain more power in the party. Makes sense to me. This gives me alot of hope for 2012. If BHO keeps the nomination, we must make sure he looses in November. IMHO, I believe a vote for McCain is the only way to accomplish this.
On Fox now!
Good afternoon everyone! I posted Lisa’s letter on pumalatinos last night. I was working with jbjd to help her get the word out.

Hillary Gave UP????
Thats news to Me…..
GALLOP POLL:
McCain 46%
Obama 44%
So far, no bounce from Biden, no bounce from convention.
NPR All Things Considered (yesterday, 4:30 pm pst):
First thing out of their mouth was how nearly half of Clinton’s supporters won’t vote for Obama; also commented that they’ve interviewed Clinton’s delegates who appear quite committed to voting for her on the convention floor no matter what.

OK PUMAS how does this sound? Since…we all know Hillary drank to much koolaide …I think it should rain MCCAIN tonight and he should get a big fat donation from ALL CLINTON SUPPORTERS!! SHE has turned out to be someone I thought was way better than this…
====
You know what I think, Texas? I think, Who needs Margery? I think, NICE TRY.
I spent the morning on another blog where troll after troll after troll dumped on Hillary for this very same “reason.” It’s obviously the marching orders talking point of the day.
This is a HARD ENOUGH day, I think LET’S SUPPORT HILLARY on this anniversary of women’s vote. She looks beat. She has this one more incredibly difficult thing to do, and then maybe Captain Weenie Barack America can haul his own carcass for a while and Hillary can go rest and privately mourn the loss of her two dear friends.
What a SLAP in the face to suggest we dump on Hillary today of all days.
I want to make it clear to all lurkers that I will be supporting McCain once the DNC commits to their suicide run of Oblahblah. It will be a PROTEST vote in order not to reward election-riggers and in order to reclaim the Democratic Party.
I know it’s inevitable that Republicans, both overt and closet ones, rejoice in this and try to make political hay, but I will not stand by silently and be party to any kind of Hillary-bashing.
I clicked BOSTON HERALD LINK Murphy posted on top of the thread. This is the message I received:
Forbidden
You don’t have permission to access /DENVER – This is supposed to be Barack Obama’s convention. Yet it’s Hillary on the eve of her speech tonight – and dramatic film of her life – whom everybody’s talking about. Press, pundits, many of her 2,000 delegates flashing “women for Hillary†buttons like dope addicts desperate for a Hillary-centric fix. on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Hillary is in an incredible difficult position -unfortunately her political future is at risk if she doesn’t comply with what the DNC expects…it’s professional blackmail for the most part…but the woman loves her political career…you can bet she will pay big if she doesn’t perform to their liking – that is the ugliness of politics…so if she wants to continue to be an effective senator and then run again in 2012 she has to play the gut wrenching game…we obviously don’t like it but can you can imagine how difficult it is for her ? This will be a bad week for her – starting with the charade she has to perpetrate and ending with having to bury her friend Stephanie Tubbs Jones at the end of the week…
WoHoooooo Great Job Murphy on the radio…..they did not rattle you….you stood your ground!!! I could not believe that man [caller] called you ” honey “…..Thank you so much Murphy! Rock On Pumas !! Country before Party!!
#51 bobram got it done for OHIO… send them out.
If Bill did say that…I can’t wait for his speech!!
You go Bill!!
Go Hillary!!
Okay guys/gals,
Click BOSTON HERALD link on top of this thread, tell me if you get the same message as I do.
Thanks!

Well spoken Zee, thank you
Hillary is not the enemy, some of you here today are treating her as such, so I ask, why are you here?
Is the DNC going to do a 5 second delay on Hillary’s speech too?
I’m faxing and blogging and working…..HILLARY DO NOT GO DOWN WITHOUT A FIGHT!!!
I am praying like Dr. Bledsoe said…nothing without prayer…
I AM PRAYING HILLARY rises to the occasion and gives them a 5 second delay and then SOCKS IT TO THEM!!!
AND IF BILL SAID M….FKLLLER I will kiss his face
GO PUMA GO….GET AMERICA BACK FOR AMERICANS!!!

Thank you,
PUMA Democrats
#615 Anna:
YES. I think it should be a prowl, because all they are talking about is how Hillary will praise Obama, talk unity, and go after McCain—and how it’s all about convincing Hillary supporters to vote Obama.
Stupid media doesn’t understand that she should talk about 88th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage! Of her historic groundbreaking race.
The ENTIRE MAINSTREAM MEDIA is only talking about how Hillary needs to unify party.
IF they think they are going to unify party by forgetting Hillary’s 18 MILLION VOTERS, they are sadly mistaken.
EMAIL FOX and everyone and tell them it is the 88th ANNIVERSARY of Women’s Suffrage!!
Maybe it will “remind” Hillary that she BETTER talk about it.
@Nobama network

Geez, something just wreaked havoc on my computer after the radio show. I thought it crashed. I would have been devastated.
Bill said what? When? Where?
My response to an e-mail I just got asking for help against the swift boating of McCain.
Dear Mr. Young,
B. Obama is a very well educated man. He should have known of Ayers background as well as the other questionable characters in his “dream” life.
We are not unified. I am now an Independent and if it’s not Hillary than I vote McCain!
You speak of “real” issues, what like how many houses someone owns???? Tell B. Obama to take care of his own family in Kenya!
either way it goes Hillary is in control of her side thats what counts. We are taking it from here
Denver pumas send pics to ureport at fox.tell where from and who is sending. Candlelight pics would be good or protest.
re#621
could be..but its just as plausible that obama worshippers and blacks will not forget an obama loss in november and they will blame hillary for it.. the DNC machine will never let hillary in the game again..they will pick another “superstar” in 2012..
I think they are hoping Hillary will provide the bounce for Bo. Which is really really really pathetic

I will always love her, but she will determine her fate and to some extent ours tonight, and I think the ONLY right thing to do is FIGHT IT TILL THE END!!
Her career as a DEM is dead. PUMA is about reality. The sooner she faces reality the better off she will be….
GO HILLARY
This is a very important day for women!! Hillary is in a very bad spot. She is staying above the fray so we must too. Please lets stay focused and positive today and put our good thoughts towards Hillary. She needs our help and I say nothing is over until we hear her speech and Bill’s speech. PUMA’s are in Denver getting the word out and people are hearing us. So lets hae this day be about Hillary and all the other women out there. We do not know what is going on behind closed doors so can we all stay focused. We are all tired and just want Hillary….only a few more days and lots of work we can still be doing.

just faxed my letter to the NC Attorney general ROY COOPER
USA Today headline Monday 8/25
“Poll: Clinton Backers Restless”
“47% say they solidly are behind Obama”
“Another 23% say they support him but may change their minds before the election”.
That means the MAJORITY of Clinton supporters are not committed to vote for him in November. A good portion of these 23% are likely saying they support him because they have no other Democratic party alternative.
GENERAL INFORMATION ON STATE ELECTION LAWS
You do not have to know all about the several steps involved in running for office in a particular state to voice your objections to the conduct of the Democratic Party in your state. But to assist your understanding of the ‘special’ status afforded the Democratic Party, as opposed to anyone else who wants to get onto the state ballot, do a search for the election laws in your state. Most of these are organized into sections that include laws applying to candidates, in general; and laws applying to major political parties. And there is usually another separate section for Presidential primaries. (This is different from Presidential electors, who are those people who actually vote in the electoral college.)

Please give her the benefit of being a very bright lady who knows what is best for her and our country. I am sure none of us would like to be in her shoes right now –
She needs our support and not our criticism.

I got the same thing.
Thank you for your email. I will forward this to the Secretary of State as they handle all election issues.
This is the message I received from my secretary of state regarding the letter I sent yesterday.
Bill’s comments…
What did he say????
Got a new PROWL for the media:
“HILLARY CAN LEAD US TO THE KOOL-AID BUT WE WILL NOT DRINK IT”
I am stunned by what has happened to the Democratic Party.
How did this happen?
I have been a life-long Democrat, but I recently switched my status to Independent. If Hillary Clinton had become President, I strongly believe she would have been a fantastic leader. Moreover, since the Clintons have always represented a moderate / centrist view of the Party, this would have actually represented a balanced Government.
With Obama?
No way…he owes so many people (especially the extreme left) that when the dems control both the house and senate, I believe he would have passed any bill…no matter how extreme.
This would have spelled disaster for our country.
McCain is a Maverick in his own party. He has consistently voted against the Republicans and gone his own way. And he has reached across party lines…so many times.
He has also differed with many of Bush’s policies and views.
A McCain Presidency will represent a balance in government. And a centrist one at that.
Now, I am as disgusted at what has happened to this country in the last 8 years as the next person. I have watched as a an extreme right- wing, neo con driven mindset has high-jacked the republican party and dragged this country down the wrong road.
But that doesn’t mean that we just roll over and let another extreme wing high-jack the opposite party & drag the USA down a different, but equally wrong road.
This country does not need an unknown, inexperienced, Cult-like figure at the helm.
This country needs an experienced, proven & centrist LEADER.
This country needed Hillary Clinton.
Thank you PUMAS for all your efforts. I applaud all of you.
if you haven’t sent Hillary a letter today, do it:
http://www.hillaryclinton.com/help/contact/?contrib=1
Per today’s Gallop Poll (with McCain AHEAD of Obama by 2 points), they’re now expecting Michelle’s speech to be the thing that provides the bounce. Geez. First, it should have been the vp announcement, then the convention itself, and now Michelle??!* From what I read on these posts (ok, biased I’m sure!), her speech was anything but inspiring. I guess Obama needs to fill that once-bouncing ball with some of that extra air we’re supposed to put in our tires!
Thanks, Trish…although others here are posting the same thing with a bit more diplomacy! I’m a little overwrought and also weary of trolls proclaiming the Dem party and Hillary’s future career are “dead.”

PUMA ALERT PUMA ALERT PUMA ALERT
PUMAs you are all here in Denver with us. We have been going from 5am to 10pm nonstop.
Yesterday we met hundreds of PUMAs as the gathered at headquarters, to meet, to give support, to blog and to buy our incredible PUMA merchandize. It is so busy that we have to meet out on the sidewalk in the afternoon hours.
Tonight we will all gather at headquarters to watch Hillary’s speech and we know that you will be watching too.
The candlelight ceremony was so touching and inspiring. We watched an update clip of the movie The Audacity of Democracy and it is simply wonderful. We listened to speakers which included RiverDaughter and PUMAs from all over telling us their stories.
We know that you wish you were here. We can’t blog somtimes because we are out on the streets trying to get our message out. Yestday we marched down the streets of Denver, carrying our signs and wearing our t-shirts. We demonstrated in front of MSNBC were thousands of people gathered and walked by. We were the largest and certainly the loudest group from any one organization.
Murphy is being interviewed and filmed by New England Cable News right now. I am acting chauffeur and all around gofer. I think she likes giving me orders.

#480 snowtiger – who the hell are you calling a troll? It had better not be me – I’ve been a PUMA pac member since June 5. Back off or the claws are coming out – and go the site stupid and read the comments – explains the whole satire bit – again don’t call me a troll – I may be old but I am a PUMA and a bitch………
greta – your comment is right on. (sadly, she’s in the position women are in far too frequently.)
kat in your hat – i think they’re avoiding the whole women’s sufferage issue cause 1) women’s issues are like, who cares?,and 2) fear that anything that touches upon that will likely fuel passions about hillary, etc and they want to avoid this at all cost. whatever the reasons, it’s insane that it’s not getting any coverage. ii do believe i will draft a letter now. thanks for your post. it got me fired up!
HILLARY ’08!
Just peeking in during a lunch break and thank you to everyone posting links. I am catching up slowly. I noticed that some people are being critical of Hillary without even knowing what she is going to say tonight.
Our emotions are running high, and we don’t want to be let down. I agree with Zee and others – Hillary needs our support right now. As Murphy has said, imagine Hillary taking the oath of office. Stop worrying about what she is going to say or not say. Just keep up with positive thinking and, if you can, all the great ideas from jbjd and ladyhawkke and others.
Let’s take a deep breath and pat ourselves on the back thanks to Murphy’s post at 267 and recognize that we have made a difference. In the end, that is all we can do – we can only control our response to the situation. We can’t control Hillary or the party.
Love to all PUMAs! (I wish I could do the heart graphic – how do you do that?)

HILLARY ON FOX – THINK: ACCEPTANCE SPEECH!
wontbackdown – i had the same reaction to that ad. it pissed me off. the mc cain campaign is timing it in such a way as to fuel existing tensions in the dem party right now (something they obviously have a vested interest in), but it ultimately makes hillary look like the person to blame because they’re using her ad and her words. really annoying. one reason for all to be cautious about mc cain. he’s a politician like anyone else and while the press and his campaign may use the words “court” or “woo” disgruntled clinton supporters, the way i see, it, the true word should be “use”. doesn’t mean i won’t vote for him for the obvious reasons, but surely don’t hold him up on any pedastal as some great guy either.
Hillary doing walk through on stage. I think we should listen politely to Hill’s speech, but WE are the voters and we should and WILL hold delegates and our Party liable for their actions regardless of her forgiving nature.

You know, Hillary and McCain are good friends – we don’t know if she agreed to this or not – it’s a campaign and she’s not out of the running yet!!
bill ayers obamas other godfather..
Todd Gitlin, a former SDS member and author of “The Sixties: Years of Hope, Days of Rage,” harshly criticizes Ayers and other members of Weatherman for wanting to kill, even if they didn’t. Gitlin said in 2001 that the only reason no one was murdered was because the first known attempt resulted in members of the group blowing themselves up instead: “OK, let’s give them a medal for not killing anybody besides themselves. But they wanted to be terrorists. They planned on being terrorists. Then their bomb blew up and killed several of them and they thought better of it. They were failed terrorists.”
Much of the controversy about Ayers during the decade since the year 2000 stems from an interview he gave to the New York Times on the occasion of the memoir’s publication. The reporter quoted him as saying “I don’t regret setting bombs” and “I feel we didn’t do enough”, and, when asked if he would “do it all again” as saying “I don’t want to discount the possibility.”

To whom it may concern:
I have been astonished to find little if any media coverage of the fact that this is the anniversary of the women’s suffrage movement. This anniversary is particularly relevant as we have seen the extraordinary rise of Senator Hillary Clinton through the primary season, winning more primaries than any candidate before her has ever done. She did this as a woman. She did this with a relentless onslaught of media bias against her. And she did this without any person from the DNC coming to her defense in the face of this mistreatment.
I urge you to take advantage of these next couple of days by honoring, front and center, women’s suffrage along with Senator Clinton’s stunning achievements.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
I am not happy about all these ads using Hillary’s words. She is being blamed for enough in the democrat party. She stated yesterday that she does not approve that message and i believe her. I am sending an e-mail to tell Mccain to move on..Seems none of them can think for themselves
OK…………..stupid me
Whats a troll?
686 Sunshinelvr Just feeling all the anxieties, the questions and the “not knowing.” I’m just glad we are getting media coverage that is beginning to listen. Even if some of it is still on the “edge”, I think we’re getting to them. There is no way anyone is going to “de-fang” us… also, I’m just trying to stay out of trouble…….lol

Hello Dances, thanks for replying to me yesterday, I had already snooze when you did.
You guys are doing great.
Keep in mind folks that even if Hillary comes out and does the big RahRah! number for Obama, and even if she turns over her delegates tomorrow and concedes the fight, that she might know something that we don’t.
There is no policy in place for the DNC to replace a nominee if for some reason he becomes no longer eligible for the presidency. It doesn’t automatically make the VP the new nominee. The DNC would have the chance to pick a person to replace them.
I STILL BELIEVE wholeheartedly that she might win the nomination no matter how she tries to back out of it, but if it happens otherwise- maybe she is biding her time until xo is hauled away in handcuffs next month.

Faxed a letter to Hillary;
Please see that Hillary receives this today, thank you.
Dear Senator Clinton, Hillary as we love to call you,
Please don’t allow the DNC to go through with this fake roll call. We have all fought so hard for you. We deserve the best and you are it.
What happen to the spirit we love, “I’m in it to win it”? I don’t recognize the Hillary I’m seeing on TV right now.
I don’t think 2012 is your time, your time is NOW! I just don’t think you realize the undying support you have.
Millions of us will not fall in line with Barack Obama. You know that.
Please, please for the sake of our country, fight for us tonight. Go for the full floor fight. The odds are with you.
With kindest regards,

FANTASY:
Saw upthread that Clinton submitted her speech for review/approval.
Imagine, knowing how she DOESN’T need a teleprompter and is so brilliant so as to be able to speak impromput, if she deviated entirely from the spech she submitted and let it rip!!! You could imagine the panic backstage, the teleprompter machine exploding, everyone chasing their tails knowing it’s live and she’s out there and she’s talking and there’s nothing they can do.
Hey, I can dream can’t I?

NObama said in the middle of primary election all Hillary supporters will vote for him but he’s not sure if his supporters will vote for Hillary. How come he’s asking now for Hillary to do the hardwork for him? NObama better start walking his talk.
It is NOT Hillary’s job to unite the party, it is NObama’s job as head now the Democratic Party. We’ll see how good he is in doing that.

FOX now has those Annenberg papers. I hope they find some dirt!
Fox News has reported that they are in possession of the Annenberg Challenge files from the University of Illinois. They have 32 boxes of papers and have started sorting through them. So far there are reports of meetings between Ayers and Obama.
I’ll keep the story updated on my blog.

Murphy — I missed you on the Ronn Owens show this morning! He is a regular, liberal radio talk show host here in the SF bay area, and has been so in the tank for Obama. He has received more than one poison-pen email from me. For anyone else that may have missed the show, he does have a audio archive — I can’t remember who is keeping track of PUMA information — she might want to find a link to this: KGO Newstalk Radio, San Francisco, 810 AM
Thank you for the update Mama, we really do appreciate it.

Will Bower was on the Sean Hannity radio show yesterday (BROADCASTING FROM THE DENVER CONVENTION) and they talked about the PUMA & JSND movement.
– Will was great! – He said Pumas will be voting against BO in different ways, and that he’s voting for McCain
– He spoke of BO’s flip-flops and of how flawed and unjust the caucus system is, and how outrageous it is that BO got more delegates from the Idaho caucus (where he beat Hillary by 13,000) than Hillary got from the big states of Texas and Ohio combined (where she beat BO by 300,000!).
– He said that if the MSM would have fully exposed & covered the Rev. Wright story at the beginning of the Primaries, Hillary would be the nominee.
>> Hannity is broadcasting from Denver every day of the Convention this week… He will probably cover PUMAS every day since his focus is everything anti-BO!
– Link to listen to his radio program live (from 3 to 6 pm EST daily):

2008 Democratic National Convention
Obama, Clinton camps working on hotel roll-call vote
By Chuck Plunkett and Allison Sherry and Kimberly Johnson
The Denver Post
Article Last Updated: 08/26/2008 10:58:39 AM MDT
Supporters of Hillary Rodham Clinton furiously circulated petitions on the floor of the Democratic National Convention last night, hoping to stave off a plan to hold the convention’s roll call at breakfast Wednesday — out of the public eye — sources inside the delegations said.
The move being worked out between the Obama campaign and officials behind Clinton’s suspended bid, would work in two parts: Delegates would cast votes at their hotels Wednesday morning; that night, at the Pepsi Center convention site, the roll-call process would rely on the votes cast that morning, the delegates said.
Colorado Rep. Diana DeGette, a former state co-chair for Clinton said she knows the camps are in negotiations about what to do.

“My view is we need to come together as a party,” DeGette said. “I admire Hillary Clinton greatly, but I think it would be divisive to have a vote on the floor. We need to have a unanimous vote.”
The evening event would call on the delegation from Illinois, which Obama serves as the junior senator, and then move to New York, which Clinton represents.
After New York delegates applaud Clinton’s long-fought and historic candidacy, a motion would be made to accept the votes cast at breakfast.
The move is being resisted by some Clinton delegates, who are busy tonight circulating a petition among delegates as the opening night of the convention, titled “One Nation,” gets underway.
“We just want a roll call like you’re supposed to have,” said one of the delegates collecting signatures for the petition, who asked not to be named because of concern about friction within the party.
The Obama campaign denied that there would be a change.
“This is not true,” Jennifer Backus, a senior advisor, said in an email in response to a question about the negotiations for the roll call change.
David Harper of Macon County, Tenn., signed a petition to ensure a floor vote in the hall surrounding the Pepsi Center.
“I came out here by God to vote for her, and I’m going to do it,” Harper said, visibly angry about the news.
Kelly Jacobs a die-hard Clinton supporter from Hernando, Miss., an area that went heavily for Clinton, stood in the hall collecting signatures. She said the Clinton backers need 800 to secure a floor vote.
Anything less than that, Jacobs said, would be an insult to her candidate.
“I could have voted from home,” Jacobs said. “She is our captain. We don’t want to see her disrespected.”
She was furious, she said, when she learned this morning that the votes may be held at the delegate hotels instead of on the convention hall floor.
“That’s not what we learned in civics class,” Jacobs said.
Texas delegate Tory Lauterbach said she has heard about the petition, but is unsure if she will sign it.
“I think the votes should be cast and counted the way they have been historically,” she said. “But I don’t think every delegate needs to stand and say something. I want a good convention.”
So does Sally Phillips of Tampa, Fla. She said that although she is a Clinton supporter, she will undoubtedly support Obama because she doesn’t want another Republican in the White House.
“I think the world of her,” Phillips said. “I’ve seen the petition but I’m not going to focus on that.”
The discussions come after a long summer in which Clinton delegates have argued for a chance to be heard during the convention. The party wants unity, and the announcement made by Obama and Clinton last week that a floor vote would occur was meant to provide that opportunity.

Maybe you can try to get on Hannity’s radio program… He’s broadcasting from the Convention this week from 3 to 6 daily. Yesterday he interviewed Will Bower (there at the convention) and was very supportive of Will and the PUMA/JSND movement. It’s a 3-hour program so he has time to cover everything anti-BO going on there and probably would want to get in a little PUMA-coverage each day.
He had already been talking about PUMA even before Denver. His radio program is very popular all across the nation… with conservative Reps & Dems & Independents and Centrists, etc… here in CA, no matter where I travel, I can pick it up on the radio (it’s also online in this link: http://www.hannity.com/article.asp?id=397001
Maybe you can approach him right before his program starts at 3 (yesterday he was at the Pepsi center).

Talking PointsPolitical Danger in DenverTuesday, August 26, 2008
By Bill O’Reilly
First off, congratulations to Sen. Biden, a safe choice for vice president, but one unlikely to swing many ballots excepting, of course, Delaware’s three electoral votes.
There’s no question the only VP choice that would have rallied the party big time is Hillary Clinton. So there must be some real bad blood between the Clintons and the Obamas, despite speeches by Bill and Hillary in Denver this week.
The challenge for Barack Obama now is to convince independent voters that he is not some far-left ideologue masquerading as a rock star politician. As the polls demonstrate, there is deep suspicion among many Americans about Sen. Obama because of his past votes and associations.
Obama gets that, and that’s why he went with an establishment guy like Biden, who is a traditional liberal, not a netroots nut. Those netroots loons are arriving in Colorado and will damage Obama if they make spectacles of themselves. It’s one thing to set up a nutty Web site where like-minded fanatics graze. It’s quite another to be photographed doing anti-American stuff at the Democratic Convention.
It will be interesting to see how successful the Obama campaign will be in muting the loons. That includes people like DNC Chief Howard Dean. Time and time again, American voters have chosen traditional politicians for the top job, the exception being Bill Clinton.
Now we have a very liberal senator vying for the presidency and he has run into problems. This week is Barack Obama’s big chance to regain momentum to persuade doubters that he is not a son of San Francisco, a cousin of George Soros, or a puppet of MoveOn. That is the drama here in Denver, and we, of course, will be charting the course to the very end.
Over the years, we’ve criticize criticized The Denver Post for unfair coverage. That newspaper often leans left. But this morning The Post was very fair in the setup of the Democratic Convention, and so was Denver’s competing newspaper, the Rocky Mountain News.
So for today, those people are patriots. All we ask is that the media be fair.
On the pinhead front, 50-year-old Madonna is on tour again, singing her little heart out, I assume. As part of her concert she uses a visual display that compares John McCain to Adolf Hitler. That is to provoke outrage and get publicity, of course.
Now, we expect this kind of dope dopey stuff from Madonna, who’s shrewd but not very bright. But really, enough is enough, right? Madonna has gone over the borderline. She is a pinhead.

mccain ahead in the polls, which included Biden selection, per FOX.
after this convention hillary will be running around all over the place doing obama’s bidding..so she’s history as far as I’m concerned..
there will only be one viable and realistic option left for us to stop obama and we all know that is…voting for john mccain..
can we be honest about this???
DOUBLE STANDARD:
Barbara Boxer minimizes the size of this movement. The press minimizes us. The DNC describes us as the “lunatic fringe”.
BUT….
Then we get rude letters from SD’s saying that if McCain wins it will be all our fault.
How in the freaking hell can we be so small and insignficant while at the same time so large and influential that we can swing an election?!*
I just switched to MSNBC and they are talking about 88th Anniversary of Women’s Suffrage.
Now it just occurred to me that Hillary will talk about how Obama is for women’s rights/ women’s issues, and how McCain is bad for women.
I am so frustrated.
All media needs to be reminded of today’s anniversary.
UGH, Hillary, I wish you luck, you have an incredibly difficult speech to give tonight.
