On the lawsuit: Was BO born before HA became a state? If so, does that in itself mean anything?
Why is no one filing suits about vote fraud, ie. the caucuses? I am sure this is a more than merit worthy idea and should be able to halt the nomination of this cnadidate. Until the hundreds of claims filed with the states are investigated and found to be untenable I think that BO shouldn’t be allowed to go forward in the nominating process.
As for HRC denouncing her deisre to be VP. I, too, am proud! I always though, as all PUMAs that she is not a second place candidate!!! I thought I’d never vote for Obama, even if he chose her. Then though but, I thought just recently, REALLY, if SHE accepted that position…would I not support her. I had to come up with the fact that I would vote for that ticket. As much as it would turn my stomach to vote for Obama I thought I would have to support Hillary, also, I was confident, QUITE, that she and her husband would keep our country safe. We won’t get into the idea of “should something happen to Obama”…Just…I really love the Clintons and trust them with the well-being of my future.

What binds our people of so many different views together is a commitment to the following statement: “Barack Obama is too inexperienced, too unqualified, too untrustworthy, and too dangerous to be POTUS.” Anyone who shares that view is welcome in our coalition.
The hate campaign by Obama, his staffers, and his bought-and-paid for bloggers against Cristi is similar to the effort they waged against Hillary Clinton. Of course, she has been one of the more liberal members of the Clinton Administration and the U.S. Senate. Many Black members of Congress backed her bid for the presidency. Those who did so are now being punished by Obama at the Democratic National Convention. Charlie Rangel, one of the most important members of the House and a Clinton backer, has NOT been invited to speak.
For her efforts on behalf of civil rights and liberal causes, Hillary Clinton was branded by Obama and his surrogates as a warmonger, a liar, and a racist. Geraldine Ferraro, also a long-time proponent of civil rights, was also labeled a racist, as was President Bill Clinton.
Given this background by Obama and his minions, it’s no surprise that Cristi Adkins is under attack. Of course, she isn’t being defamed for her statements about Obama, all of which are factual. Instead, they’re trying to bleed her to death with a thousand pinpricks. She’s accused of saying this (maybe) once, or of knowing this person or someone else, or of advocating this-or-that.
Does Cristi head right to the front-lines, where the chances of taking political shrapnel are the greatest? If you’ve ever seen her in action, you know she does. Also, she “pushs the envelope.” She takes after “Hussein” in creative, imaginative ways. Most of these efforts work, and some don’t, which is par for the course with risk-takers.
The main “charge” against Cristi is that she once was in a business venture that didn’t work out. Big deal. There are probably 150 million Americans, including this one, who are in the same boat.
In fact, Cristi — my friend and political ally — is one of the single most effective spokeswomen in America against Obama. As long as that remains the case — and it will through November 4 — Obama and his meanspirited, robotic followers will try to destroy her. In other words, they will try to “Hillary-boat” her, just as they did the junior Senator from New York.
I have news for the man Cristi calls “Hussein.” You will not succeed. You will not win this election. You are up against people who will not rest until John McCain send you back to the Chicago political machine that spawned you.

Just got a letter from John Mica, FL Repub member of congress. I had faxed him regarding whether XO was eligible to run for Pres. He said those rumors have been circulating for months and are considered hoaxes. He claims O was born in Hawaii two years after Hawaii became a state. He does not support him but said he has not seen evidence that causes him to question his eligibility to run. He also stated, that if valid, Sen. Clinton’s campaign or one of the other Dems running would have raised it.
However, I will not forget Bill Clinton’s answer” anyone can run if they are constitutionally qualified.” Nice to get a letter from a real person. I’m still not convinced.

UPDATE on Berg v. Obama Lawsuit PART 1~

I’ve obtained copies of the hearing proceedings and the order denying the TRO. The order actually says that the hearing was conducted in open court–not behind closed doors as I had been informed–and I am kicking myself for not sitting in.
I just spoke with Philip Berg. The temporary restraining order was denied by the Hon. R. Barclay Surrick, but the exhibits have been taken into evidence and Judge Surrick has decided to leave the case open, allowing subject to once again be brought forth once all parties are served.
He mentioned that all related pleadings and documents can be found at ObamaCrimes.com, including the original complaint, the memorandum in support of the temporary restraining order, the press release, and more.
Furthermore, upon being pressed, he acknowledged that some issues in his background could serve to hinder his credibility, and promised to address those issues with me soon. He also acknowledged that Judge Surrick asked why, after months of eligibility-related information swirling around the Web, he waited until the week before the convention to file suit.
“I told him that somebody had to,” he said.
When I asked, Berg also mentioned that he has had “no contact” with anyone in Hillary Clinton’s camp, and if fact does not even know the political affiliations of those who worked with him on preparing materials for the case.

Listen, folks. I have no idea as to the veracity of the allegations found within Philip Berg’s civil action. All I have is the civil action filed by Philip Berg yesterday afternoon. Here’s some of what I’ve learned since then:
Philip Berg has an employment and service history which, on its face, insinuates credibility. He did serve as Deputy Attorney General for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, held various positions in local Democratic party leadership, and ran for office on several occasions.
Philip Berg, despite his history as a public servant, has credibility problems. First, he apparently adheres to the idea that the United States government was behind the attacks on September 11, 2001. Personally, these 9/11 conspiracy theories make me queasy, as I feel we face a threat
Second, his ethics have previously been brought into question. Should this lawsuit go forward, those looking to protect Barack Obama will have no problem bringing forth these issues, all the while ignoring Obama’s own questionable actions, associations and practices. All that being said, Mr. Berg and I have similar interests — ensuring that the presidency goes to someone who, ideology aside, has a right to be there in the first place.
Back on July 20, 2008, AtlasShrugs.com posted details as to why Barack Obama’s birth certificate is believed by many to be a forgery. Outwardly, this appears to be the basis of many of Berg’s claims.
Factcheck.org posted a counter-argument yesterday to many of Berg’s claims and claims of those who feel the same way that he does. I am not a forensic scientist, and I did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so I have no means of knowing whether to lend credence to Factcheck’s version of the birth certificate controversy, or to Berg’s. What I do know is that Barack Obama’s failure to be forthright with regard to this issue is sketchy at best, and that Factcheck.org is owned by The Annenberg Foundation, which has been accused of sweeping potentially damaging information about Obama under the proverbial rug.
As of two hours ago, Barack Obama’s “Fight the Smears” Web site removed his birth certificate from its pages, only to put it back up a little while later. Again, regardless of the outcome of this legal action, Obama’s failure to address this issue should draw a fair amount of skepticism but has not. Perhaps we can thank the mainstream media’s overprotective nature for that.
As I wrote in today’s commentary, Eligibility Goes Beyond Citizenship, the impact of this lawsuit does not depend solely upon the veracity of the charges leveled by Berg.
To me, This lawsuit is an indictment of the mainstream media for protecting their Chosen One by not bringing this issue up in the first place. Remember, of course, that in late February the New York Times had no problem playing turncoat and bringing up questions of John McCain’s eligibility shortly after it appears that he had secured the GOP nomination.

Over and beyond citizenship, naturalization and Article II, Section 1, this issue is, to me, first and foremost a reminder that the person leading our great nation should be someone who understands what it means to be an American. Barack Obama, regardless of where he was born, has decided time and time again to surround himself with people who not only blame America for the world’s ills but also seek to undermine Her security, government and mission. That, combined with his socialist roots, should be enough to make him constructively ineligible for the office of president of the United States of America.

Eligibility Goes Beyond Citizenship
don’t know if the allegations found in Philip Berg’s civil action are true. I did not sever Barack Obama’s umbilical cord, I do not know anyone who did, and therefore I cannot know for sure absent more than circumstantial evidence whether or not Stanley Ann Dunham opened wide and gave birth to the Illinois liberal in Kenya, in Hawaii, or elsewhere.
Perhaps we can look into the destination for mass shipments of gold, frankincense and myrrh in early August of 1961. Or perhaps we could just ask Keith Olbermann — I’m sure he has a framed photograph of the blessed event.
What I do know is that, when the United States Constitution was penned mere steps from where Berg’s lawsuit was filed yesterday afternoon, those imperfect but brilliant gentlemen who wrote the fifth clause of Article II, Section 1 established the trio of specific eligibility requirements–citizenship, age and residency–in hopes of increasing the probability that the elected officials who were to assume the presidency in years to come would be of sound mind, of good judgment, and in possession of a soul rooted in an undying love for America.
It was important to those courageous men that the future leaders of their fledgling nation understand what it means to be an American. Every clause in that document is there for a reason, each a lesson learned from fresh wounds of tyranny gone but not forgotten, and the framers made a point to require that, at the very least, a potential president must have been a citizen of the United States “at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution.” Unfettered, undivided devotion and loyalty to America was of the utmost concern; simply put, only those who fought and bled for Her independence, or at the very least understood the meaning behind, need for and potential of this great experiment could be trusted with its charge.
Regardless of whether Barack Obama was born in a hospital in Honolulu or a hut in Kenya, the real question brought forth by Philip Berg’s civil action, to me, is not one of constitutional eligibility but rather of moral and intellectual and even ideological qualification.
Barack Obama’s actions show a penchant for blaming America first and placing Her needs second. His associations show that no unimaginably awful deed goes unrewarded, that the want for friendship, appeasement and superficial detente overshadows the need for a firm grasp on reality and unapologetic employment of common sense. His aspirations make us believe that we can live our lives blameless for societal and economic ills, and that centuries-old blood feuds can be solved with a handshake and conversation over coffee and a chilled plate of arugula.
John McCain, wrong on so many issues, was 100 percent right on Wednesday when he stated that he never questioned Obama’s patriotism, only his judgment. At a time when the United States faces unprecedented threats from every angle, within and without, at a time when Congressional malfeasance–or, in the case of Pelosi’s House and the energy crisis, nonfeasance–could have disastrous effects for decades to come, sound judgment is of the utmost importance.
For our founding fathers, unflinching patriotism, unassailable public virtue and unflappable judgment were inherent among those who helped to establish the United States of America, whether on the battlefield in Trenton or in Congress in Philadelphia, as those who were citizens “at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution” knew why they were there, what America was about, and why She was so desperately needed.
Regardless of whether he was born in Kenya or in Hawaii, regardless of whether his birth certificate is his half-sister’s or his own, or whether he went by the name of Barack Obama or Barry Soetoro, this self-proclaimed “Citizen of the World” has much to learn about what it truly means to be an American.

SJ Puma: No, I’m not going. I can not afford 600 bucks for a flight. I was a last-minute deicder to go and as such have suffered. At first I was going to drive, but couldn’t find anyone with a license to drive with me from NY. So then I checked out flights and they are 600 dollars and that’s too much if I’m to pay for lodging and then want to eat, etc while in Denver. So, I spent 4 days, non-stop planning for a trip that didn’t materialize.
However, I received so much encouragement and support that I am sure had I decided a week earlier I’d be on my way to Denver right now. My thoughts and hopes are with those who are there and I have to rely on then to scream my message. I’m a very….loud person, lol, and was hoping to lend my fearless voice to the cause in person. I’m sure, however, that all the PUMA’s gathering will do everything possible to let the world hear our roar! HRC for president, 2008!!!

Mmm. Yes, SLyt…and indeed, I was told by numerous PUMA leaders, in all sorts of blogs and capacities, that it would some-how work out for me. I believed them! BECAUSE I know the true-blue passion that resides in each PUMA and I recognize the unending support and compassion we give to every other human being…
It’s my own fault…In deciding only last week to go and thinking to drive (because a flight in and of itself costs 600 dollars) I just waited too long. Everyone had already cemented their plans, most of whom decided to fly. Had I decided a bit earlier I could have kept bugging people, HEY, I need someone who can drive to come WITH me and share the wheel, but I just didn’t have enough time.
It’s okay, I’ll figure out a way to contribute via NY. Thank you for your sympathy though, I DID work non-stop for 4 days, with a lot of No sleep to boot. I am confident those who will be there will speak for us thouhg. I spoke with enough of them, lol.

Unless Hillary Clinton becomes the Democratic nominee, there is no need to contact me again. The Democratic party is corrupt and has given us an unqualified candidate with a thin resume. Obama was given uncommitted delegates from MI, plus 4 which were taken from Sen. Clinton, all in violation of its own Rules. Donna Brazile, Howard Dean & Nancy Pelosi are incompent and should be removed. And if you continue to support this corrupt party, then I have a problem with you also. I will not give one dime to this unqualified candidate and will vote for McCain unless the DNC comes to its senses.
When I called one of the AR delegate’s offices today, I also told them I was voting for McCain if Hillary was not the nominee and she told me they were hearing a lot of that.

Soooo, a few weeks later she was in the next county where I actually grew up. and I went with the idea of not taking no for an answer. I was able to get into the secure area by grabbing a sticker from one of the elementary schools that were letting the kids in. And I posed as a person with the kids……lol… so I was able to grab her hand and ask her if she would stand with me for a picture……I absolutely HATE the picture of me !! There is someone using an id “Myrta1015″ came to our fourm (HCF) and asking help about sharing a room in Denver. She also ask me to find out in her exact words “WHAT IS TAKING MURPHY SO LONG TO SEND ME THE FUNDS” for the bus ticket.
I found that it’s not appropriate to post that message at our forum because we at the forum wouldn’t be able to answer that. I told her since yesterday to post that message here. But she said she already send email to Murphy & Maryland PUMA.
I don’t know if she is for real or not. She said she has been a member at the PUMA pac for a few months.

We have not given up on Hillary’s chances at the convention for a meaningful roll call vote. However, if past actions are an indication of future outcomes, the die may already be cast.
We will not quit fighting. Whatever the outcome in Denver, we will carry on. Our transformation to activist is complete. There are huge challenges ahead and we, the (unpaid) lobbyists for the American people, have an important role in the future of this country.
We may not have the big hairy dollars of corporate America, but we still have our votes. Let’s spend them wisely. Stay involved and pledge to only support candidates that represent you…and pledge to toss out the legislators that do not.

My fellow Americans:
As your future President I want to thank my supporters, for your mindless support of me, despite my complete lack of any legislative achievement, my pastor’s relations with Louis Farrakhan and Libyan dictator Moamar Quadafi, or my blatantly leftist voting record while I present myself as some sort of bi-partisan agent of change.
I also like how my supporters claim my youthful drug use and criminal behavior somehow qualifies me for the Presidency after 8 years of claiming Bush’s youthful drinking disqualifies him. Your hypocrisy is a beacon of hope shining over a sea of political posing.
I would also like to thank the Kennedy’s for coming out in support of me. There’s a lot of glamour behind the Kennedy name, even though Robert illegally wiretapped Martin Luther King, Jr. and Teddy killed a female employee with whom he was having an extra marital affair and who was pregnant with his child. And I’m not going anywhere near the cousins, both literally and figuratively. And I’d like to thank Oprah Winfrey for her support. Her love of meaningless empty platitudes will be the force that propels me to the White House.
Americans should vote for me, not because of my lack of experience or achievement , but because I make people feel good. Voting for me causes some white folk to feel relieved of their imagined, racist guilt. I say things that sound meaningful, but don’t really mean anything because Americans are tired of things having meaning. If things have meaning, then that means you have to think about them.

Everyone (rightly) makes a big deal about William Ayers, but it’s his WIFE Bernadine Dorhn who is more intelligent, and she was far more dangerous (peronsally handling bombs, etc), and she and Michelle knew each other even BEFORE Barack came on the scene at the law office.
Michelle is the one who had all the Chicago connections at first…from Wright, to the Weather Underground folks, to the Rainbow/ PUSH organization…I heard Michelle was extended family to Jesse Jackson. Also, it’s the Ayers family who had the connections to the Daley Machine.

Bill Clinton is a wild card, the obama campaing is nervous because he will not let them know what his speech entails. It is expected Bill will talk alot about HIS accomplishments in his 8 years and what Bush has done to destroy all what he accomplished. This of course will have all the undertones for the delegates to consider voting for Hillary. Now call it wishful thinking, but you can clearly hear Hillalry respond and say, “I never made it known I wanted the job.” (meaning VP)

I don’t know if I remember the numbers right, but isn’t it that about half of Hillary’s voters need to be won over? I heard on Fox that 20% won’t vote for him, and 27% are undecided??
How can that many people be “undecided”? Were they even following thr primary closely? I wonder if those people are waiting to see if Hillary is VP, or maybe they just don’t want to admit that they are democrats who will not support the dem ticket if BO is on it.
McCain camp certainly takes those polls seriously, and they need to not just worry about their base but also how to win over Reagan democrats, Pumas, and the like.
It would help me if McCain chose a woman I think, and if he and his camp offered up something for women. Not sure what though: many women in his cabinet…I’m not sure.
His whole “country first” thing was a very smart strategy in general though.

I think there’s a lot of dissention festering under the surface….

BillieJo my understanding is if you are near the pepsi center you must have credentials or be in the fenced area. Street will be closed down so you know bunch of cops will be there shuffling people. It’s supposed to be about 90 during the day, 50′s in evening, chance of rain each night. Don’t plan on spending a lot of time in protest area. Socialize, shop, explore, go to planned events, blog. I doubt anybody will see the bigwigs except on tv. But you can bet they will be watching us on tv too!!!!! That’s why I think we should plan a meet outside hotel before Hillary goes in to speak. (IGNORE MO AND PELOSI!!!!!)

#876 There will be some very dangerous protesters in Denver. PUMA’s want to make a strong and valid point but the Anarchists from Oregon were planning to attend and I am sure there will be other such groups protesting. A lot of the more extreme preparations for protesters are aimed at that sort of group. Hopefully they will separate the reasonable but loud protesters from the violent quickly . During the WTO in Seattle they put the violent in the cells, the moderately vicious handcuffed in old buses which they parked and left for hours on end. When they let them out of the buses the buses smelled so bad and were completely destroyed. And the less dangerous they booked and released. But that is the problem for anyone with a health problem as was brought on this blog before. This may not turn out to be a long but stimulating hike, you could be searched and have your meds removed from you or be unable to get to food or water. And add to that the fact that Denver is a mile high and something like a third of people feel like crap for the first two days they are there as well as you get way more sunburned at that elevation. Just watch out for each other and stay away from the violence.

So, anyone who wants to get onto that ballot has to get there through the state chairs of the party, who submit the name and paperwork for the party’s nominee within the statutory deadline for filing. Burning bridges only guarantees someone one else will the nominee of the party.
