Paul, I will be happy to talk to you by email if you prefer. I can not speak for everyone here, only myself and I am sad that if you are not doing anything to hurt Hillary’s chances of being the nominee at Denver that you have gotten a bad wrap. PUMAs have had their guts on the line for almost three months. Most of us have shared the bashing along with Hillary and we are working in a last minute frenzy to help Hillary in any way we can. We have had many Obama supports on the site that start out pretending to support Hillary and in time attack our PUMAs. If you ever venture over to the Obama blog as I did last night and put ‘puma’ in the search box, you will see they call us every name in the book along with bashing Hillary. We are protective of one another because we are tired of being hurt and tired of Hillary being hurt. And the big Dog too.

Who posted that Obama’s birth records are sealed? The only reason I know of birth records being sealed is a result of an adoption. The original birth certificate listing the parent(s) are sealed, and the adoption records show the adopted parents. What’s up with that?

As far as adoption, it always used to be sealed, but now the adoptions are given an option of having an “open” adoption when the adopted parents continue to communicate with the birth parents. There’s something there with these issues. And he should just come out and explain them. But then he has Soros behind him…..

The really sad thing for all of us is that if either Hillary or Obama wins the nomination…they will each need the supporters of each other. Thank you for a very fair interview with Diane and Bonnie this evening. You really seemed interested in what they were feeling. Contrast this with David Schuster’s panel last week with Will Bower and Darragh Murphy in which he was dismissive, condescending and bullying. (He also stated at least 4 times that Obama had won the popular vote…like repeating it would make it so.) David acted toward them exactly like the rabid Obama supporters act toward us…yes we are all part of the same Coalition. I, like so many others, began this campaign admiring and believing in Hillary. At the end, after everything she endured, she looked brighter and more beautiful than ever. Our admiration turned to devotion. That kind of devotion is not transferable.
Party disunity will of course be blamed on Hillary…everything else is. (Bill Schneider actually said Tuesday night that the McCain Campaign was following Hillary’s playbook by portraying Obama as “not ready to lead.” Gee, I guess they couldn’t have figured that out for themselves.) But we point to Obama saying that Hillary’s people will vote for me…not sure about my supporters voting for her. Or, Michelle saying she’d really have to think about supporting Hillary if she were the nominee. Or, “You’re likeable enough, Hillary.” Or, brushing Hillary off his shoulder. Death by a million cuts.
Your remarks during the campaign truly were a galvanizing moment for us. (By the way, I believe Hillary was featured in Time Magazine after her Wellesley speech before anyone had ever heard of Bill Clinton). I also believe you wish you hadn’t said them.
I hope you read Fredosso’s book, “The Case Against Obama”. His whole charade of transformative politics is effectively eviscerated. I know who your audience is. So maybe you just can’t question the premise of his campaign.
There are millions of us. From the grief we felt on May 31st at the RBC fiasco and on June 7th at the suspension speech has sprung a spontaneous Political Action movement with enormous passion. We think Hillary would make a wonderful President. We think Senator Obama would be a disaster.

This is the e-mail from the Texas Party Chair . Since the corrupt caucus activites in Texas affected the results of the primaries for ALL of us regardless of which state we live in , I thought that some of you may want to let Boyd know how you feel about our system here .

The 2008 election cycle has created a historic political climate for Texas Democrats. Approximately 1 million Democrats participated in our convention/caucus system. This surge of participation magnified the intricate workings of Texas’ unique hybrid primary/caucus system, resulting in logistical challenges for some of our Precinct and County/Senatorial District conventions.
As a result, I have appointed the Advisory Committee on the Texas Democratic Party Convention/Caucus System to examine the current process of our primary and caucus system. The Committee will conduct a series of meetings which will be open to the public and will allow for Democrats from all across the state to share their Primary/caucus experience. If for some reason you are not able to attend any of these hearings, you are encouraged to submit written testimony by e-mailing it to the Committee at testimony@txdemocrats.org. The Committee will then consider this feedback and make recommendations to the State Democratic Executive Committee for possible changes. For more information about the committee meetings, click here
The second meeting in this series of Advisory Committee Hearings will be held at the Harlingen Public Library in Harlingen, Texas on September 6, 2008 at 9 a.m.
Additional hearings will be held in the following cities:
September 12, 2008: Houston, TX
October 4, 2008: El Paso, TX
October 17, 2008: Arlington, TX
October 18, 2008: Nacogdoches, TX
November 8, 2008: Lubbock, TX
November 14, 2008: Austin, TX
An examination such as this will help inform and educate our Party leadership, elected officials and the general public about how best to approach the issue of potential modifications to the Convention process in Texas. Your testimony at these hearings will play an important role as we continue to explore our current Democratic Primary process. Only by working together will we be able to grow and strengthen as a Party.

Here are my thoughts:
We have unidentified trolls among us. That is a given – someone is releasing our prowls to the O camp.
We will have some trolls manage to slip in and attempt to pass themselves off as PUMAs. Some we will catch, some we won’t.
We will also have NEW members joining daily who will not be impressed by the things that have been posted on the blog tonight.
BOTTOM LINE: We have no way of knowing who is legitimate and who is not so I suggest we err on the side of caution. Report your suspicions to a moderator via email. Do not converse with or react to one you suspect. This vetting is causing infighting amongst us.
Every single moment we spend vetting posters is a single moment taken away from pursuing our purpose.
Obama’s entire campaign has been an attack on basic American values and costitutional protections. I can’t understand why he hasn’t been arrested and charged with terrorism and treason.

Everyone, I am sorry to say I have to leave the blog. I can not promise I will not vote if Hillary is VP. I have said many times I will support Hillary to better her career by what ever I have to do. I don’t want Obama as the nominee either, I do not even want Hillary as a VP, but I can’t promise that in November I will not vote for her if that is all she can get. I would also vote for her if she was put in charge of Universal Health Care.

You are still Nobama. You are not supporting him to become the Dem Nominee. After Denver, many things will change. Some will split off and work for McCain. Some will work for a third party. Everyone will have a different choices in November. That is their right – to choose – and we do not restrict membership based on any of those things.
I hope that many PUMA PACers will continue to work with us toward Democratic Party reform and getting the corrupt powers out of office.

With regard to the filing of the federal lawsuit on Obama’s eligibility.
What happens if they nominate him then the matter is exposed? Does the VP automatically step in as the replacement of the nominee? I find it hard to believe that someone not voted on by the populace could just step in and be Presidential nominee.
Would they go back and re do the process and nominate Hillary, or open it up to all former candidates.

Alright here is my prediction for Denver in the style of the Golden Girls Sophia Petrillo:
Picture it, Denver 2008. A group of PUMAS converged on the city with a dream and a mission. They laughed, they cried, they drank far to much and ended up taking turns dancing with the life size Hillary cut out..but I digress
When the week was over, they emerged tired, but victorious because they had achieved the impossible and Hillary was our nominee

My understanding from talking to several people is that if he IS nominated and he chooses a VP who is also nominated then the VP will take over. ONLY after the convention if they choose to do that. I am sure you would see a lawsuit from Hillary (RIGHTFULLY SO) so fast it would make your head spin!

That’s the way I’ve felt about the birth certificate issue, but it must be important to someone. I have no doubt in my mind that he IS A CITZEN. I have lots of friends who have dual citizenship. There parents were in all kinds of situations, but because one was a U.S. citizen, the offsprings still have the right for citizenship. O’s mom was in Hawaii when she died. As far as I could tell in reading and listening, she never gave up her citizenship to the U.S. He still gains citizenship through her.

I have no disc left between my two lowest vertebrae, the next 3 above those have bulging discs. In the middle, thoracic part of my back I have spinal stenosis, a thickening of the sheath surrounding my spinal cord putting pressure on nerves. And in the upper part of my spine I have another bulging disc.
Because of these conditions I created a reality of pain.
Then I meditated and created a changed state where there is NO pain. And I have not had back pain since.
This ‘technique’ was taught to me by an elder.
If you think you are poor, you will be poor and treated as poor, because it is he reality you have created for yourself.
I think jenni basically understand this concept, and by positive affirmations is creating the moment when Hillary succeeds.
I don’t know where you are to physically put my hands on the place of pain. But together, you and I can create the painless state. I have already begun I BELIEVE your pain is leaving and will soon be gone completely. Only your own doubts can make it not so.

In the most detailed examination yet of Senator John McCain’s eligibility to be president, a law professor at the University of Arizona has concluded that neither Mr. McCain’s birth in 1936 in the Panama Canal Zone nor the fact that his parents were American citizens is enough to satisfy the constitutional requirement that the president must be a “natural-born citizen.”
The analysis, by Prof. Gabriel J. Chin, focused on a 1937 law that has been largely overlooked in the debate over Mr. McCain’s eligibility to be president. The law conferred citizenship on children of American parents born in the Canal Zone after 1904, and it made John McCain a citizen just before his first birthday. But the law came too late, Professor Chin argued, to make Mr. McCain a natural-born citizen.
“It’s preposterous that a technicality like this can make a difference in an advanced democracy,” Professor Chin said. “But this is the constitutional text that we have.”
Several legal experts said that Professor Chin’s analysis was careful and plausible. But they added that nothing was very likely to follow from it.
“No court will get close to it, and everyone else is on board, so there’s a constitutional consensus, the merits of arguments such as this one aside,” said Peter J. Spiro, an authority on the law of citizenship at Temple University.
Mr. McCain has dismissed any suggestion that he does not meet the citizenship test.
In April, the Senate approved a nonbinding resolution declaring that Mr. McCain is eligible to be president. Its sponsors said the nation’s founders would have never intended to deny the presidency to the offspring of military personnel stationed out of the country.
A lawsuit challenging Mr. McCain’s qualifications is pending in the Federal District Court in Concord, N.H.
There are, Professor Chin argued in his analysis, only two ways to become a natural-born citizen. One, specified in the Constitution, is to be born in the United States. The other way is to be covered by a law enacted by Congress at the time of one’s birth.
Professor Chin wrote that simply being born in the Canal Zone did not satisfy the 14th Amendment, which says that “all persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States.”
A series of early-20th-century decisions known as the Insular Cases, he wrote, ruled that unincorporated territories acquired by the United States were not part of the nation for constitutional purposes. The Insular Cases did not directly address the Canal Zone. But the zone was generally considered an unincorporated territory before it was returned to Panama in 1999, and some people born in the Canal Zone when it was under American jurisdiction have been deported from the United States or convicted of being here illegally.
The second way Mr. McCain could have, and ultimately did, become a citizen was by statute, Professor Chin wrote. In Rogers v. Bellei in 1971, the Supreme Court said Congress had broad authority to decide whether and when children born to American citizens abroad are citizens.
At the time of Mr. McCain’s birth, the relevant law granted citizenship to any child born to an American parent “out of the limits and jurisdiction of the United States.” Professor Chin said the term “limits and jurisdiction” left a crucial gap. The Canal Zone was beyond the limits of the United States but not beyond its jurisdiction, and thus the law did not apply to Mr. McCain.
In 1937, Congress addressed the problem, enacting a law that granted citizenship to people born in the Canal Zone after 1904. That made Mr. McCain a citizen, but not one who was naturally born, Professor Chin said, because the citizenship was conferred after his birth.
In his paper and in an interview, Professor Chin, a registered Democrat, said he had no political motive in raising the question.
In March, Laurence H. Tribe, a law professor at Harvard and an adviser to Senator Barack Obama, prepared a memorandum on these questions with Theodore B. Olson, a former solicitor general in the Bush administration. The memorandum concluded that Mr. McCain is a natural-born citizen based on the place of his birth, the citizenship of his parents and their service to the country.
In an interview on Thursday, Mr. Olson, whose firm represents Mr. McCain in the New Hampshire lawsuit, said Congress could not have intended to leave the gap described by Professor Chin. The 1937 law, Mr. Olson said, was not a fix but a way to clarify what Congress had meant all along.

Natural-born citizen
Who is a natural-born citizen? Who, in other words, is a citizen at birth, such that that person can be a President someday?
The 14th Amendment defines citizenship this way: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.” But even this does not get specific enough. As usual, the Constitution provides the framework for the law, but it is the law that fills in the gaps.
Currently, Title 8 of the U.S. Code fills in those gaps. Section 1401 defines the following as people who are “citizens of the United States at birth:”
Anyone born inside the United States
Any Indian or Eskimo born in the United States, provided being a citizen of the U.S. does not impair the person’s status as a citizen of the tribe
Any one born outside the United States, both of whose parents are citizens of the U.S., as long as one parent has lived in the U.S.
Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year and the other parent is a U.S. national
Any one born in a U.S. possession, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year
Any one found in the U.S. under the age of five, whose parentage cannot be determined, as long as proof of non-citizenship is not provided by age 21
Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is an alien and as long as the other parent is a citizen of the U.S. who lived in the U.S. for at least five years (with military and diplomatic service included in this time)
A final, historical condition: a person born before 5/24/1934 of an alien father and a U.S. citizen mother who has lived in the U.S.
Anyone falling into these categories is considered natural-born, and is eligible to run for President or Vice President. These provisions allow the children of military families to be considered natural-born, for example.
Separate sections handle territories that the United States has acquired over time, such as Puerto Rico (8 USC 1402), Alaska (8 USC 1404), Hawaii (8 USC 1405), the U.S. Virgin Islands (8 USC 1406), and Guam (8 USC 1407). Each of these sections confer citizenship on persons living in these territories as of a certain date, and usually confer natural-born status on persons born in those territories after that date. For example, for Puerto Rico, all persons born in Puerto Rico between April 11, 1899, and January 12, 1941, are automatically conferred citizenship as of the date the law was signed by the President (June 27, 1952). Additionally, all persons born in Puerto Rico on or after January 13, 1941, are natural-born citizens of the United States. Note that because of when the law was passed, for some, the natural-born status was retroactive.
The law contains one other section of historical note, concerning the Panama Canal Zone and the nation of Panama. In 8 USC 1403, the law states that anyone born in the Canal Zone or in Panama itself, on or after February 26, 1904, to a mother and/or father who is a United States citizen, was “declared” to be a United States citizen. Note that the terms “natural-born” or “citizen at birth” are missing from this section.
In 2008, when Arizona Senator John McCain ran for president on the Republican ticket, some theorized that because McCain was born in the Canal Zone, he was not actually qualified to be president. However, it should be noted that section 1403 was written to apply to a small group of people to whom section 1401 did not apply. McCain is a natural-born citizen under 8 USC 1401(c): “a person born outside of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents both of whom are citizens of the United States and one of whom has had a residence in the United States or one of its outlying possessions, prior to the birth of such person.”
Ya know, if Obama gre a beard, he would strongly resemble a guy named Osama.
If O was born in the US, in Hawaii, he is a citizen. If you are born outside the US, and one parent is a citizen, you claim citizenship through the parent who is one. But you have to go to court and file to become a citizen. The only way this injunction could be filed, is if there is proof he was not born in the US. Soo why then are his birth records sealed? There’s something there that they don’t want to be seen if that is indeed true.

Last week, the Atlas Shrugs blog outlined a series of donations in 2007 made to Obama’s campaign from two individuals, Monir Edwan and Hosam Edwan, totaling $29,521.54.
In an online form on Obama’s campaign site, the Edwans listed their street as “Tal Esaltan,” which they wrote was located in “Rafah, GA.”
Rafah is not a city in Georgia. The Atlas blog immediately raised concerns that the money may have been donated from the Gaza Strip town of Rafah.
Okay, in my own defense, the reason it took so long to pack a few toiletries is that everytime I pushed teh shampoo plunger down, in order to screw it in, a gusg of shampoo came out. I never did get the plunger cap screwed in, but I had to clean up the huge mess I made in the bathroom sink and on the counter.
So there! Now you know.

I wish that Universal Health Care wasn’t such an important issue in our country, for my son included. Also check Frito Lay. we can’t buy any of their products and the people I talked to said all their products are sent to Texas to be destroyed.
Thats odd that they send it all to food banks. The companies I deal with send some to food banks and sell the rest. I shall ask around here next week and see if anybody has contacts beyond safeway.

But another birth certificate issue is his real name. I think Americans would have no problem voting for a qualified candidate with a middle eastern name like Barack Hussien Obama if that was his given name. But as I understand it it is a name he chose to rename himself. If that is the case it will not go over well with many Americans. Just that fact that it was his choice and not that of his parents. It just seems far too radical a choice for an American boy.

I think they tested the powder and it turned out to be a non-toxic substance but wouldn’t identify it in any of the articles beyond saying that.

Actually, I see more of that were I work then anything else. The female professors that voted for Hillary don’t think she has a chance in Denver and don’t want to hear anything bad about Obama because they can’t face voting for McCain. I sent them the blog radio link on the voter fraud and the delegates that were on and they keep making excused as to why they didn’t have time to listen. They are afraid to hear something bad about him now…they also are really into multicultural education in the graduate school, urban education and supporting minorities and I think since that is their focus in education they feel like they would be betraying their students. They are closet Hillary supporters and want the low-down on our trip to Denver, and even promised to help bail me out if necessary. Cute, they said they are proud of me but they won’t step up.
It is a strange world right now where I work and without all of you I would be wondering the streets.

No, I spent 5 nights in here making sure that every last thing I had to do before Denver was done right. I spend every waking hour working on behalf of Senator Clinton in a state that I despise. I spent the last 18 months traveling around this country of ours pressuring people about the fact that this woman is truly fuckin amazing. While I am sure some of you worked in 1 or 2 states or more. This is one thing to take away if nothing else, how would you feel if everything you held dear and believed in all your life was a pile of dung when you look deeper. When you look at the voting in the caucus states and see that votes were stolen from seniors, and people that didn’t know what we have seen by the Obama supporters. When as women (and 40%) men have no voice, have no vote but are just expected to give in to greed, be quite and give away our votes.
We have no one but Hillary that understands how we feel. You are lucky somewhat, the choice for you to support Obama isn’t that ugly. Have you seen some of the blogradio show? The research on the voter fraud? If you have, you should understand how upset we feel. We are not so upset at you, just that some think you are trying to make us forget what we know.

He had pundits representing the republican position and a guy representing Obama camp — I think the guy’s name was Michael Brown. Michael said, I think it’s very effective and shows how out of touch McCain is with the American people

Please please do get through to the campaign people that they had better do some serious polling as to whether Hillary on Obama’s ticket would actually help him. WP/ABC July poll said not, it would repel as many as it attracted. As for us PUMAs, pls note most of us here ARE AGAINST IT. I’d certainly work DOUBLY hard against Obama/Clinton. Giving up her own independent career in the Senate to prop up the man who abused her is NOT a good role model.

Yesterday, we lost a colleague, a friend, an inspiration, and a champion for all of us. I am deeply saddened by the death of Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones. She was my friend and my sister. She made me laugh, smile and fired up my spirit when I needed it most.
She had a light that shone for the world to see within her and a fighting spirit safely stowed behind her disarming smile. Stephanie had so much integrity and a fiery intelligence that enabled her to become a one-woman force for progress in our country.

Am going to lay back down. Coyotes have been out alot the last couple of nites and my dogs go absolutely nuts and warn us, so haven’t gotten alot of good sleep. With our minins and their new foals, we are always on alert. I have one little mare due to foal any day, so not getting much rest anyways.

So sorry to have missed it. I was at a Trade Show all day and flying all night today (am in California). I was very impressed (well obviously) with her. Very straight forward and doesn’t mince words. I asked questions and she answered firmly what she thought much to my surprise. Not one of those people afraid to say what she thinks. I thought she would be hesitant to answer since I was a complete stranger – I didn’t want to waste my opportunity so I asked pointed questions – why beat around the bush.

For those wondering about Florida:
There are many places flooded and still to flood over the next week. Lots of power outages. Rained in many places over 20″. They have had to rescue people using boats along the eastern coast, add contaminated water = bad situation!
I live in Orlando but thank God for blogging on this site! I took a break from reading and came back; I noticed a wet area on the floor. At first I thought the cats!?!?! But realized that they could not go that much! Then seen there was no rain from above, went outside and realized the yard was flooding! My son came over and we dug trenches for hours. Looks like trolls have been here. Told God that was enough rain as I looked like a drowned rat! No lightening happened but the rain did stop!
Today we both had roof leaks since the rain was coming sideways. Fixed them! My other son in Orlando lost power. I have only had power surges. As far as I can tell, all us PUMAS are OK!
I also am contracted to work for FEMA. The water has to recede or they need to bring in the computers to start processing people in various locations. It will be a few months or more before all the work is done.
Everyone thought it would be nothing…kind of like us with the primary season! What a shock!

It does not look so good that a young celebrity nominee adored far and wide can barely hold on against an old codger like McCain. Something is wrong here… perhaps his fan base thinks his novelty brand of politics is not a novelty anymore. This is the change I like – people changing their minds about Obama. But for the DNC, this is not the change they thought they would get from Obama. That is what you get pitting a guy that is more appearance than substance.

As the pledged and super delegates get ready to go to Denver, we have their attention. Obama just is NOT SEALING THE DEAL. The polls are leaning downward for him as is the projected Electoral College count.
It is all about November, not Mile High Stadium, a message we must communicate to all delegates.
To the pledged delegates, we must impress upon them the importance of voting for Hillary on the first ballot as recognition of Hillary’s historic candidacy, to honor the 18 million votes, and to represent the voters who sent the delegates to Denver.
Moreover, in 10 states, and perhaps more, there is are Binding Vote Laws which require all delegates to vote for their candidate. All are binding for the first ballot, some for 2nd and 3rd as well. But it is the first ballot that is the critical one.

Any attempts by the DNC or Obama to replace or flip any delegate from these states, is against the law. It is wrong and they should not do it under any circumstances, but we now know that they have been breaking the law aggressively in these states by trying to intimidate and replace delegates everywhere.
The scenario: Delegates representing the 18 million HRC voters, vote for Hillary Clinton; the SDs reach the conclusion that Hillary is the electable Democrat, and…. !!!

Usually, when a suit is filed, the judges are picked randomly and in order of whose turn it is to hear the case. In the case of an injunction, if the courthouse is closed, they will get a judge on an emergency basis. It could be they specifically requested this judge. If it is a Clinton supporter, the defendant could request that he be recused because of a conflict of interest.

I knew it!! More details on the filing. I know some about citizenship/adoption. He had to have been adopted by his mother’s second husband. Why else would he be using her husband’s name. OUR GEORGIANS FAXED THE LAW TO HIM A WEEK AGO! This is what I have been working on! Wow. I had already told her about these laws several days ago but she never responded to help. Now, everyone knows about vote binding states, because Rikki put me in her newsletter; and now Heidi mentions this on her blog. (She didn’t mention how she found out; or who was responsible.) So, I sent Heidi a copy of the GA letter we distributed, which she posted. Not that I want credit… I am just so proud of us. I had an idea; I proposed it; and, even if you thought I was crazy, you went along. Turns out, I was onto something that just might help to win the nomination. I wrote letters for each state listed above; each letter has the fax number of the AG. (Finding these numbers, which are often not on the state’s web site, was almost as hard as finding the law.)

Hillary Clinton is clearly that candidate. Senator Clinton won the popular vote, she had the most momentum after winning six of the last nine contests, and she is stronger in the states that make the biggest difference in who wins and loses the White House. She is the only candidate who can win in the battleground states. Since March 1st, Hillary Clinton has won over a half million more votes than Senator Obama. Hillary Clinton has won states with a total of 308 electoral votes; Obama has won states with a total of 224 electoral votes. Hillary won in 7 of the 8 states with the most electoral votes – Obama won only his home state, Illinois.
During the primary process, the more the voters got to know Barak Obama, the more people voted for Hillary Clinton. Obama did not “close the deal”, and the trends were all toward the nomination of Hillary Clinton, that is except for the relatively small number of Super Delegates who came out in support of Barak Obama, contrary to the preference of the voters.
I have been watching carefully as the presumptive nominee tries, but fails to make his case to the voters. Hardly a resounding vote of confidence.
I ask you to keep an open mind, knowing that you will be called upon to cast your vote for the electable candidate, regardless of your current announced preference. I ask that you vote for Senator Clinton on the FIRST BALLOT. Thank You.

Obama Sued in Philadelphia Federal Court on Grounds he is Constitutionally Ineligible for the Presidency

A prominent Philadelphia attorney and Hillary Clinton supporter filed suit this afternoon in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against Illinois Sen. Barack Obama and the Democratic National Committee. The action seeks an injunction preventing the senator from continuing his candidacy and a court order enjoining the DNC from nominating him next week, all on grounds that Sen. Obama is constitutionally ineligible to run for and hold the office of President of the United States.
Phillip Berg, the filing attorney, is a former gubernatorial and senatorial candidate, former chair of the Democratic Party in Montgomery (PA) County, former member of the Democratic State Committee, and former Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania. According to Berg, he filed the suit–just days before the DNC is to hold its nominating convention in Denver–for the health of the Democratic Party.
“I filed this action at this time,” Berg stated, “to avoid the obvious problems that will occur when the Republican Party raises these issues after Obama is nominated.”.
Berg cited a number of unanswered questions regarding the Illinois senator’s background, and in today’s lawsuit maintained that Sen. Obama is not a naturalized U.S. citizen or that, if he ever was, he lost his citizenship when he was adopted in Indonesia. Berg also cites what he calls “dual loyalties” due to his citizenship and ties with Kenya and Indonesia.
Even if Sen. Obama can prove his U.S. citizenship, Berg stated, citing the senator’s use of a birth certificate from the state of Hawaii verified as a forgery by three independent document forensic experts, the issue of “multi-citizenship with responsibilities owed to and allegiance to other countries” remains on the table.
In the lawsuit, Berg states that Sen. Obama was born in Kenya, and not in Hawaii as the senator maintains. Before giving birth, according to the lawsuit, Obama’s mother traveled to Kenya with his father but was prevented from flying back to Hawaii because of the late stage of her pregnancy, “apparently a normal restriction to avoid births during a flight.” As Sen. Obama’s own paternal grandmother, half-brother and half-sister have also claimed, Berg maintains that Stanley Ann Dunham–Obama’s mother–gave birth to little Barack in Kenya and subsequently flew to Hawaii to register the birth.
Berg cites inconsistent accounts of Sen. Obama’s birth, including reports that he was born at two separate hospitals–Kapiolani Hospital and Queens Hospital–in Honolulu, as well a profound lack of birthing records for Stanley Ann Dunham, though simple “registry of birth” records for Barack Obama are available in a Hawaiian public records office.
Should Sen. Obama truly have been born in Kenya, Berg writes, the laws on the books at the time of his birth hold that U.S. citizenship may only pass to a child born overseas to a U.S. citizen parent and non-citizen parent if the former was at least 19 years of age. Sen. Obama’s mother was only 18 at the time. Therefore, because U.S. citizenship could not legally be passed on to him, Obama could not be registered as a “natural born” citizen and would therefore be ineligible to seek the presidency pursuant to Article II, Section 1 of the United States Constitution.
Moreover, even if Sen. Obama could have somehow been deemed “natural born,” that citizenship was lost in or around 1967 when he and his mother took up residency in Indonesia, where Stanley Ann Dunham married Lolo Soetoro, an Indonesian citizen. Berg also states that he possesses copies of Sen. Obama’s registration to Fransiskus Assisi School In Jakarta, Indonesia which clearly show that he was registered under the name “Barry Soetoro” and his citizenship listed as Indonesian.
The Hawaiian birth certificate, Berg says, is a forgery. In the suit, the attorney states that the birth certificate on record is a forgery, has been identified as such by three independent document forensic experts, and actually belonged to Maya Kasandra Soetoro, Sen. Obama’s half-sister.
“Voters donated money, goods and services to elect a nominee and were defrauded by Sen. Obama’s lies and obfuscations,” Berg stated. “If the DNC officers … had performed one ounce of due diligence we would not find ourselves in this emergency predicament, one week away from making a person the nominee who has lost their citizenship as a child and failed to even perform the basic steps of regaining citizenship as prescribed by constitutional laws.”
“It is unfair to the country,” he continued, “for candidates of either party to become the nominee when there is any question of the ability to serve if elected.”

Well here is my answer to this troll. Who decided that abortion rights are the only issue of importance to women? Birth Control has improved in it’s safety, availability and effectiveness in the last 40 years. There should be less unwanted pregnancys. Add to that the fact that reproductive rights are not an issue for women over 45 and half of all women in this country are older than 45. So since I am an old broad now I see a non sexist media and the ability of a qualified woman to run for office without have sexist slurs thrown at her by members of her own party as the most important womans issues.
No one tells me how to vote. I would have loved to vote for Hillary but she does not own my vote.
I am voting for McCain and I am happy with that vote. Far more happy than with my vote for Kerry. I don’t need to pass your purity test to be called a Democrat. In fact you naive BO people need to wake up and figure out you are not going to win the White house with only the votes of the pure like yourself. You are going to need a lot of the ideologically impure to follow you. I agree also. We were cheated out of our vote. The DNC felt they could make up a candidate that would “change” the world and now they have (hopefully) realized they are wrong. Recently we published a video of a PUMA member who claimed that the PUMA groups had raised approximately $10 million to help Hillary Clinton retire her debt. We are not sure how that amount was calculated. The actual amount raised in June was $2.7 million. We are 100% certain that the $10 million claim was sincere. However, it possibly harmed the campaign’s efforts to retire the debt because many people believed the claim, and were led to assume that she was well on her way to putting the debt behind her. Obviously that isn’t the case. You may donate to Hillary Clinton here.
#947 Texas Tigress You can get the ATI catalyst Media center and it’s easy to put on your computer. You do have to open up your computer and put the media card in and then install the program into your computer. I would call ATI and ask them which one to use for your system. I bought the wrong one because I have HP Media Center. I can listen but can’t capture videos or record. I’m going to get another one but this works fine when I’m online.
OMG, did anyone just hear what Fox reported about the passes to be used in Denver. Obama said, “The flag is not upside down it’s just an artists rending to blend in with my shirt”. Now our flag has to go with Obama’s shirt. Wow, unblievable!

I just came on quick (before I leave for work) to mention that Fox this morning (just before 7 am PST) had Gary Mauro on again and Mauro talked about how unusual it is that Clinton is out campaigning for Obama. How she’s done more than any candidate in history. How Howard Dean was never out campaigning for the other nominees weeks before the convention. I love that guy.
