Fingers crossed that the intertubes get the caffeine injection they so sorely need. Until then Puma PAC, relax deep into the arms of Morpheus — for sweet sleep, “sleep which knits the raveled sleeve of care.”
Be wonderful to each other. Tomorrow is another day!

number 1 ha!
Adorable pic.
What form?
Vonay . Lol watched the impersonator. Damn he is good.
ok I really am off to bed now……..nite all.
Oh, Murphy, that picture reminds me of my little Rosie (Shih Tzu – honorary puma) who also used to fall asleep in her food when she was a baby. To this day, she puts her little paws in the plate when eating. She’s very small, about the size of a Yorkie. My bestest friend in the world!
#6 antifish ,
Hey antifish. I kept looking for you to referee downstairs lol
I hear ya antifish. she reminds me of Sylvia, the bestest cat in the world, who showed up at my door one evening as a little gray tabby and stayed for 6 years.
gotta go tell the downstairs folks to take it upstairs!
Time for this cat to hit the hay. Goodnight all.
Good night PUMAsucks. Btw, did I mention we got Hillary in nomination?
Thanks for the picture, Go. I went back and read the text. lol!
Good night.
I meant good night Snowtiger.
this is the closest to first-poster I’ve ever gotten! Happy to see you’re all on west-coast time tonight, lol..
#9 snowtiger,
LOL! Goodnight, you crazy Puma!
goanderson, I love the picture.
admin: I posted the link you gave us downstairs
(http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=3fXUqzTj910) on Air America’s “Contact Us” page.
“First they ridicule you, then they…” Yeah, we know how the saying goes! Basically we win in the end.
goodnight snowtiger..
Good night, Sherry. Sorry I wasn’t around tonight. Doing some behind the scenes work. My goodness, we are a week away from Denver!
First they say they love you, then they…….nevermind.
LOL, mountainsong!
how goes it in Washington?
TOPIC: Full Moon
hey billiejo, maybe this is why some of the posters were wearing long faces today? (Full Moon). But more likely, they just needed a new PROWL. Let’s give them one, Air America this weekend??
p.s. Full moon info – interesting?
This is the Full Moon to honor freedom, idealism, humanitarianism, egalitarianism, and the revolutionary impulse toward reform, without causing harm to anyone. Aquarius is the impulse to raise-up everyone and leave no one behind. So in service to these calls to action, become responsible and find out what is really happening around you. Get involved in your community, volunteer your time, and raise awareness in your neighborhood. It’s summer, have a block party and raise funds for a good cause.
This is the Full Moon to wake up, and get politically/spiritually active (two of the most powerful expressions of Uranus/Aquarius!) Remember “a government of the people, by the people and for the people”? Free yourselves from the lies of the spin-doctors. Let go of your complacency and urge your family and friends to join you in speaking out against injustice, impoverishment and war. Get involved in working to fix our broken healthcare system, our outdated air/rail transportation industries, our dependence upon oil and our ever-worsening economic situation.
#17 antifish,
Too much drama earlier for me to blog so I just lurked for awhile. I have been working on snail mail letters to the super delegates for the last few days. Freddiebrown is financing it for me. I don’t know what I will do after the convention yet. It depends on what the puma goals are.
Good evening everyone! It’s a wonderful day! I’m at the beach (haven’t seen the ocean in 7 years before today) and Jenny Finch and my girls are kicking some olympic butt! I’m far too awake for it to be so late!
#22 queen81 ,
Hello. I have been watching the Olympics too. Wasn’t Michael Phelps awesome? He has won more gold medals than anyone in history.
texassherry: maybe it’s the full moon!
More likely people get discouraged with all the b.s. that mainstream media spews out daily.
“WE’RE IN IT TO WIN IT!” – Hillary Clinton
“WE’RE IN IT TO WIN IT!” – Hillary Clinton
“WE’RE IN IT TO WIN IT!” – Hillary Clinton
Hey Texassherry…yes he has certainly been a treat to watch…thought I was alone up here for a minute, happy to see i’m not
#24 hillstheone ,
I think that is part of it but also I think some are trying to brace themselves in case the outcome isn’t what we want. It was so devestating when Hillary suspended and i think people are having a hard time trying to stay positive and then maybe get let down again.
texassherry: right on..
#25 queen81,
I hate it though that China is lying about those little girls ages that are in gymnastics. Most of them can’t be more than 13. If we make too much stink though then all h…. will break loose so of course they will get away with it.
hi antifish, did you ever hear anything from Nat’l E about the BC issue? ;D
#29 hillstheone ,
I think antifish went to bed. She never answered my last post.
I am fully prepared that we may not succeed in Denver, but that may turn out to be ok. I have no doubt that BO will lose in Nov and that Hillary will run in 2012. And I also believe she will win in a landslide. I believe this because of people like my mother, a conservative republican who has long considered Hillary enemy number 1.
This process has completely altered her view of Hillary as it has for many independants and republicans. Whatever happens in Denver, we have done something amazing and have already succeded because it may not happen this year, but Hillary will become president.
hitexassherry, well that answers that!
What’s new in your world?
queen81
neversaynever. Could be Obama walks away w/the nomination, but Hillary ends up our next President.
I certainly hope it doesn’t go that way, I just know she’s gonna have to fight till the end for it.
One thing’s for sure, I think people should realize, “who’s had it harder during this primary season, me or Hillary?” That should stop the whining for a while…
MURPHY POSTED THIS DOWNSTAIRS
We really are the good guys.
I hear there’s a joker around claiming to be an NYPuma. Every person I know from New York has nothing but admiration and respect for Hillary Clinton, even those who didn’t vote for her.
I think falsely claiming to be a New Yorker should become a federal crime under Hillary’s administration.
And falsely impersonating a Puma should be a capital crime.
I’ll go get my admin hat on.
Then I think I’ll put Paddy O’Bloggin’s hat on.
I need a glass of whiskey.
NOW, THOSE ARE SOME LAWS I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SEE IN EFFECT!!
MURPHY,
YOU AND MARYLAND PUMA ARE AWESOME!! I KNOW MARYLAND SIGNED OFF, SO PLEASE TELL HER SHE ROCKS!
AND TELL PADDY O’BLOGGIN’ TO DRINK SOME IRISH WHISKEY FOR ME!!
I think someone was keeping track of the Denver donations yesterday. I just donated $20.00. I know it’s not much, but I hope it will at least buy lunch for a hungry PUMA out in Denver — that is, unless they are charging NYC prices, in which case that amount would only cover a baby snack for an infant!
ROCK ON, VALIANT PUMAs!!
NYCgirl
(who is a REAL New Yorker!)
hillstheone
Oh I don’t ever say never..I’m completely confident that this will work out somehow
queen81..cool…
BigCatLover: I recall you keeping up on the whole Rezko thing. Just think, that new book probably tells all about it.
“Step right up, read all about it…!”
NYCgirl
Am I still considered an honorary New Yorker? I’m originally from Queens.
Hi NYCgirl,
how’s things in New York tonight?
texassherry: will you email me a piece of your pecan pie, I want to see if it’s as good as mine, lol..
#31 queen81,
I agree with you completely unless Hillary really does drink the kool aide then she will kill her political career. I think and hope that she is too smart for that though. The convention will tell it all. If Obama wins the nomination, and like you I think that he probably will unless Hillary has something up her sleeve, then he will lose in November.
I am writing letters to all the super delegates but I really don’t think that they will change their votes. Especially the ones that were paid off. I think McCain has something on Obama that will end him but won’t pull it out until after the convention.
Some pumas will not accept the fact that we are dealing with politicians that will do anything to win and there is only so much we can do for Hillary. We have done some great things and I think we can make some drastic changes to the democratic party come November.
#39 hillstheone,
lol Wish it was that easy.
goodnight all!
#42 queen81,
Good Night. It was nice talking to you.
Hi, PUMAs,
#37 queen81
Yes, if you were born here, then you will ALWAYS be a New Yorker in your heart.
#38 hillstheone
It was stormy here. We even had a tornado touch down here today on Long Island. That doesn’t happen very often around these parts.
That’s all for now. It is late and I am tired from pouncing on fake PUMAs and defending Hillary’s honor!
Later, PUMAs!
NYCgirl Rodham Puma
Nite nite Queen, & NYCity girl (Long Island sounds fun).
I’m logging off, too.
“See” ya’ll tomorrow (“texassherry influence,” lol,)..
Don’t forget everyone, “We’re in it to Win It!
#39 hillstheone,
Are you still here?
#45 hillstheone ,
I guess that answered my question lol
Good night.
OK, going to bed now. Nite sherry, hillstheone, and queen. Sorry, I was still working.
hillstheone, I want some of that pecan pie too. Yummy, my favorite! No haven’t heard anything from Nat Enq. Nite all!
#48 antifish ,
There you are. Good night. I guess I will sign off too. I’m not very good at talking to myself lol
ny puma,
KISS MY ASS!
#51 ny puma…
What is your problem? You sound really mental?
Do you need someone to advise you to get some professional help? It doesn’t sound like you are here to be in community with the people on this blog? I am really concerned about your state of mind?
#51 ny puma,
What are you trying to accomplish? I will be more than happy to discuss this with you as long as it doesn’t resort to name calling.

The Denver Accords
By GAIL COLLINS
Crises abound in our troubled world, but think positive. At least it appears that peace has come to the Democratic Party.
Word went out this week that Hillary Clinton’s name is, indeed, going to be put in nomination at the convention, “as a show of unity and in recognition of the historic race she ran,” according to a joint Obama-Clinton press release, written in language so careful that it might have emanated from the United Nations Panel on System-wide Coherence.
The folks at the top of the food chain were the very picture of good fellowship.
“It couldn’t have gone better.” — Bill Burton, Obama spokesman.
“From what they told us, it was what they had in mind all along.” — Philippe Reines, Clinton spokesman.
Problem? There was a problem?
Seriously — good work, Democrats. There is no greater achievement than the nonviolent resolution of differences, and we’ll take it on whatever level we can get it. Organizing a harmonious convention is not exactly a new Middle East roadmap. But like all settlements between enemy forces, it required leaders who were willing to forego the temptation to appear tough at all times, and followers prepared to get over it, whatever historical wound “it” happens to represent. For an example of a situation in which both these factors are AWOL, see the current conflict in Georgia.
On its face, the Hillary resolution appears pretty obvious. The woman got more than 1,900 delegates, for heaven’s sake. If she wants to be nominated, she’s going to be nominated.
But the last thing the Obamaites needed was a long spectacle on national television in which one state after another stood up, gave a plug for its tourist attractions, and then cast a divided vote, while the delegate lead switched back and forth until Barack won. And Obama had some power — if not to stop Clinton, at least to make her look like a sore loser who was trying to torpedo the party’s chances in November.
Then — happy ending! Barack refrained from flexing his muscles, although any man condemned to a three-month-long steel cage match with John McCain must have been tempted to go for the mindless macho route.
Hillary, for her part, will not see her historic achievement recorded in the convention records. The details aren’t public, but it seems likely that after her name is put in nomination, even before the first roll call, she’ll release her delegates and urge them to vote for Obama. Her most ardent supporters will still get to cast their votes for their heroine. (The word “catharsis” comes up frequently in these discussions.) But most of her delegates, including Clinton herself, would switch over to Barack.
This is no tiny thing to give up. Clinton is only the third woman to ever compete in the major party primaries. Shirley Chisholm got 152 delegates in 1972, and Margaret Chase Smith got 27 in 1964. Chisholm fought the good fight, but none of the male candidates ever considered her a serious threat. Smith, an extraordinary senator from Maine who was the first person in Congress with the spine to stand up to Joe McCarthy, made the Republicans nervous when she entered the New Hampshire primary. But she seemed unsure of exactly how a woman was supposed to run for president, and soon resorted to passing out muffins on her campaign stops.
And now Hillary Clinton — 1,920 delegates by The Times’ final count. This is an extraordinary breakthrough. And yet, when the delegates actually call out their votes in Denver, it’s likely that the numbers will look more like Margaret Chase Smith redux.
“We know what we’ve achieved,” Clinton has been telling her backers.
Everybody is not going to be appeased. PUMA, or People United Means Action, is an excellent example of the Ossetia branch of the Hillary camp. Darragh Murphy, the PUMA spokeswoman, said that while her members are extremely happy about the agreement, it will have no effect whatsoever on their plans for perpetual resistance. Unless their state allows write-ins, she said, most PUMA members will stay home or vote for John McCain in November to protest the way Democratic leaders “allowed the primary campaign to go forward with the sexism in the media going unchecked by the party, along with the disenfranchisement of Florida and Michigan, and the shenanigans in Iowa and Texas in the caucuses.”
Yes, down in the grass-roots, there are still some sullen stalks. But the vast majority of Hillaryites seem prepared to accept the new accord as an indication that their heroine will get the proper respect. The tanks have turned around.
Those Democrats sure do know how to work together. Maybe next they’ll be able to figure out how to keep their primaries from starting around Christmas.
Because I think we all need a laugh….
We should tell them they should include a Hillary Clinton kippah in their polling. ; )
http://site.vanitykippah.com/
McCippah 58%, Obama Kippah 42%
August 15th, 2008
The results for the Kippah Polls are in. I worked them myself on a spread sheet. McCippah has increased the lead to 58%. The Obamica is at 42%.
#53 wontbackdown,
I think NYpuma must be a Hillary supporter that went to Obama and resents us for not following. That is the only thing I can make sense of out of their posts.
good morning pumas
I hope all this happiness is not like an indian summer> short
The thugs could do anything to get their ways
I have no ways of getting the news
the only one that I could get is CNN
& cnn international is such a trash
when it comes to talk about obama HILLIRARY
it is such a pamphleteer that it looks like chaves´s tv
#57 texassherry:
This has been going on for hours!
Sadly, I would think that someone typing their thoughts could at least “hear” themselves being outrageously offensive, incoherent and, quite frankly, obviously completely unaware that they are attempting to communicate with others who have no interest in what they are saying – GUESS NOT!
#59 wontbackdown,
I emailed Murphy. Hopefully she will ban them from the site and delete all the negative posts so that it doesn’t affect the mood again tomorrow.
It is getting so close to the convention and people are going to get stressed anyway but we don’t need the added aggravation.
#58 storytellers,
Good morning. I should be in bed but am wide awake.
#51
no one, BUT NO ONE HAS TO OBEY ANYONE
one should act in conscience
my vote is for HILLARY if she is the candidate
if not I AM FREE, like everyone else to do with vote whatever I WISH
in my case I would do what is best for the country
we do not have to obey like if we were in a totalitarian country
#60 texassherry
Good idea! It’s all so unecessary!
#62 storytellers,
If you look downstairs that poster has been bickering for quite awhile. Hopefully Murphy will make them an ex puma tomorrow.

Even in Sweden, Hillary Clinton loyalists are stirred up
We knew Barack Obama would have trouble winning over Hillary Rodham Clinton loyalists in places like Columbus, Ohio, and Morgantown, W.Va. But who thought there would be an issue in Stockholm, Sweden?
#65 pa dem,
I think they only countries that are pro Obama are the ones we are at war with or may be in the near future. I wonder why? lol
#65 pa dem… Very interesting read. Guess everyone is trying to get on the bashing Clinton bandwagon in whatever way they can.
Amazing! For a woman apparently not ‘Presidential material’ for the democratic party, they are sure trying to diminish her from her to Sweden!

#66 texassherry: LOL! SO TRUE, SO TRUE!
I’m really signing off now. Good night to anyone that is lurking.
#68 texassherry: Me too! Goodnight PUMAS.
Can someone please explain what a “climax speech” is???

Hillary To Campaign For Obama In New Mexico This Sunday
By Greg Sargent – August 15, 2008, 11:11AM
—–cut—–
Separately, there’s been a bit of confusion over who’s speaking when on Tuesday night at the convention. While Virginia Governor Mark Warner unquestionably has the marquee slot as keynote speaker, the Dem convention team also confirms that Hillary will speak last, meaning she’ll deliver the climax speech, which is also a good slot.
———-
texassherry: I find that amusing as well.
#50 nypuma
This election is similar to 1972. Either *61 will lose in a landslide like McGovern or he will win like Nixon. However, Nixon was in trouble during the campaign and it took another two years to oust him from office.
The Watergate scandal that brought down Nixon “followed the money” of his crooked campaign and dirty tricks just like *61. We have his ACORN, Rezko, super delegates, and caucus deals still unfolding.
*61 is unqualified and unfit to be the POTUS and the public knows it. The leaders of the DP have returned to their pods. You need to join them.
#70 pa dem
I can’t tell you what a “climax speech” is. But I know what a climax is in a good story. (Or a good evening with my boyfriend. LOL)
If a “climax speech” is anything like the climax in a good story, it should be Hillary’s victory speech … and a celebration of Obama’s defeat.
Firebelle: The question is, is a climax speech better or worse than a keynote speech?
nypuma,
Are you still here? I would like to have a discussion with you.
#73 pa dem
If the climax speech is Hillary’s victory speech, none of the other speeches will even matter, will they?
#51 ny puma,
I love and deeply respect Hillary, but I WILL NEVER vote for BHO!!!
#72 Firebelle,
Hi, good to see you.
I was just going to say that I think that Hillary’s speech will inspire everyone so much that they will vote for her.
#77 anonymous
Hi to you too. You’ve got mail.
#71 EWard,
I can only hope and pray that BHO will not win. I love my family and my country too much to let somebody to destroy us.
#78 Firebelle,
You’ve got mail.
#79 anonymous
Amen!
#55 DancesWithPumas,
Thank you for sharing this article. To be honest with you, some of the parts in it made me very angry. THEY ARE COMPARING US WITH OSSETIA!!! I can’t believe that this woman actually said that. ROAR!!!
Ummm, I don’t want to upset anyone, but I think that this article will confirm the sneakiness of BHO and the fact that HE WILL DO ANYTHING, ANYTHING to become President.
Here’s the link:

I got an Email today for WA Pumas, if you’ll contact me tomorrow(Having email probs tonight) Got to fix them before I get mail tomorrow

#55 DancesWithPumas,
I am sorry about what I said. I know that it was very rude and stupid, so I apologize for that. I am just under a lot of stress because the convention is coming up. I asked Murphy to remove it.
good morning anonymous
I do not trust the thugs that are running the party
well it is up to them to play dirty, which they have been doing anyway>>chicago´s ways of politics(obama´s way)
but
they would have to put up with the consequences¡¡¡¡¡¡
Skimmed the posts – whew!
Frightening how the behavior of XO supporters continues unabated. What I think many people just don’t get is that XO is no ‘typical’ candidate and that this is no ‘typical’ election. IMHO, our country and our way of life is at stake.
We are getting a glimpse of things to come should the unthinkable happen. The hate speech and violence towards all who do not support XO intensifies daily as it continues to go unchecked, and I suspect even encouraged. Evil deeds are covered up and lied about.
So, I don’t care if Hillary asks me to support XO, I will never fall in line. My answer is ‘respectfully – NO’.
I am thankful for this home and refuge.
NYT releases final delegate count: 1920 for Hillary! And fresh new insults for us
http://edgeoforever.wordpress.com/2008/08/16/1920-delegates-puma-is-the-ossetia-branch/
obama is similar to
chavez
castro
carrera (ecuador)
putin, etc
something similar would be, what we will get
My thought regarding all of the talk that Hillary’s name being placed into nomination is purely a ‘symbolic’ gesture is…
Well, if they are playing that game and the gesture really is just ‘symbolic’, then they will find out come November that my vote is a quite a bit more than just ‘symbolic’.
hehehehehehe
Hillary08 or McCain08
#84 valleywitch,
I always keep on forgetting that. BHO always make me VERY ANGRY. He’s trying to take everything away from me. I CAN’T STAND HIM!!! He’s even getting Dean to replace Hillary’s delegates with his so that he could get more votes. THAT’S JUST OUTRAGEOUS!!! Thank you for your support and support of everybody else in the PUMA family.
Was there a prowl yesterday? I didn’t get one.
Yeah, our only hope is that the state delegate see the light and she gets the majority the first vote…guess we should have known they would stoop to do something like this, but hold you heads up high…we did get her into nomination!!! That would have never happened without our 200,000 + letters and all the other pacs doing their thing. Remember Scarlett Ohara in gone with the wind,, when she holds up her fist to heaven and says “AS GOD AS MY WITNESS” .. I see all of us doing that now… we have just begun to fight ! And we know that the DNC will be as busy as a cat trying to cover up poop on a marble floor if he gets the nomination.. And the GOP has the poop on him…
#90 sharpclaws
So the roll call is just “symbolic”. I guess my vote in November too would be symbolic, it would be for McCain. I’m very comfortable voting for McCain, no hesitation at all. This is the first time I’d be voting Republican, I guess this is the CHANGE NOBAMA is talking about; CONVERTING LIFELONG DEMOCRATS to vote GOP….:-))
I can’t thank NOBAMA enough for exposing how corrupt is the DNC, with his Chicago style he opened the door. Oh my goodness! When NOBAMA swing that door wide open, we saw the FILTH DNC have been hiding for YEARS, from bribing superdelegates to threatening voters during caucus, intimidating delegates supporting Hillary. AL CAPONE is happy to see NOBAMA practicing with GUSTO true CORRUPT CHICAGO POLITICS in NATIONAL level.
When November election is over, NOBAMA will be out of Senate.
what is going on in the blog, it takes forever to log & to refresh
we are 4 cats now in the blog, it can not be traffic¡¡
#94
alcapone´s way is childrens games compare @ is going on in the party, alcapone was limited to specific area, but they are trying to corrupt the whole nation democratic system, they are throwing trash to our institutions and american´s way of life
I found a clip of Gone With the Wind… i think ill watch it this week end… its the kind of movie i need right now…all hope is not gone!!…but this is how i feel right now..

Good Morning All who are here… Fellow/Fella PUMA’s
Busy day yesterday with doctor’s appointments and company, so was not here much… gotta catch up on all the info…… drama yesterday? Too bad… we are all so close to the convention… Murphy is still asking for donations… Have there been ma ny who will be going as a result of those donations? Hope that question will be answered… want to donate and will before tomorrow… but I want someone to go to the convention because of it…
Good morning Pumas !
This photo of the kitten is so, so lovely !
That’s funny : I’ve got one who is exactly alike ! I’ve got a lot of cats but I’ve never seen one sleeping in his plate ! How cute !
Special thanks to those of you who sent me a message yesterday, here or on my site. And Maryland Puma, thank you too, if I’ve got special requests during the convention, I will e-mail you, but not in French, don’t worry !
Have a nice day, Pumas. And congratulations for your great work so far. Yesterday, France’s most famous quality newspaper Le Monde spoke about you, for the first time ! It proves you are really becoming famous internationally ! Bravo !
#96 Prowland : Hi !
thanks !
I love this video. Gone with the Wind is my favourite film. Scarlett never gives up, always ready for a fight : exactly the kind of heroine we need today, you’re right.
It’s never over…

Good morning, PUMAs. The above link contacts superdelegates. I am going to send out my letter to all of them this weekend. All states and regardless of who they are pledged to.
Hey all, just double checking that you have seen this video:
(Hillary Clinton at Fundraiser in East Hampton, NY Sunday 8/10/08)
Hillary Clinton Says Put Her Name in Nomination
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcAB2BTxSjA
(A woman tells Hillary Clinton about Puma fighting for her and our 18 million voices to be heard, and Hillary is obviously very aware of us. Just Watch.)
Course, now we know her name will be placed in nomination at convention…
#108
Also, I remember reading about this, and seeing photographs, but I hadn’t seen this video until very recently.
K, pumas, I will be back later.
Mornin Pumas
Morning Carrie and all PUMA’s. That is the cuttest pic I’ve seen of the kitten sleeping in his dish.
A Lil inspiration for everyone..
Let me tell you something, when it comes to finishing a fight, Rocky and I have a lot in common. I never quit. I never give up. And neither do the American people.
Hillary Clinton
Speaking in Philadelphia, April 1, 2008.
Good Morning Pumas!! Off soon to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg wearing my Hillary t shirt….will be a walking billboard! I still can’t believe Hillary is going to
release her delgates right after she is nominated. I haven’t heard a confirmation of this.
Anyway, whatever happens at the convention she IS my President! And I know that we need to keep our resistance regarding the DNC…oops, ONC’s shenanigans long after the convention…even after November to achieve real change!!!
Have a wonderful day and MANY THANKS to ALL the hardworking Pumas. Take some time to destress!!!
FIRED UP AGAIN!
Integrity is how you behave when you think no one is looking.
One photo captures *61′s true feelings about Hillary better than anything I have see.
CAUTION: If you are feeling emotionally fragile right now you may not want to look.
Go to:
http://democrats-against-obama.org/
It is about 1/2 way down the page.
He is giving his snarmy look to Hillary as she has her back turned.
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/maps/obama_vs_mccain/ August 16, 2008
Electoral Map
Barack Obama 228
183 Solid 45 Leaning
John McCain 163
139 Solid 24 Leaning
Toss Up 147
147 Toss Up
Obama’s poll numbers down, McCain’s up, toss up states increased. The difference between today and a few days ago is 9 more toss up states, AND………. the news of Clinton’s name to be in nomination. These numbers reflect polls by state and by number of electoral votes. Less likey electoral votes today than seveal days ago for Obama.
=PUMA/JSND POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Morning Puma’s – it’s another beautiful day. This place sure is a inspiration, an oasis that is full of energy
I noticed that the Gallup poll this morning has McCain and Obama tied at 44%. Sure is a sorry state for us democrats, the Democratic Party that was suppose to be given the white house on a silver spoon this year.
The DNC sure selected the worst possible candidate, too bad they didn’t listen to the voters. I continue to have faith and know in my heart that at the convention the party bosses, the super delegates will do the right thing and elect Hillary.
My guess is that the polls numbers for Obama will continue to go down, his peak is over and the longer it goes on the worse it will get for Obama as more and more people see the light, read more and more about Obama.
We are going to be driving up to the cascades this weekend and won’t have internet access till late Monday. My best wishes to all, keep the faith and hang in there
#50 ny puma, you are a nut….Obama isn’t even going to be elected dog catcher. I don’t that he will even be elected to the senate again. He is a total loser!!!!!!!!!
yuck Powncing!
I put a pic like that in my Obama video I made..I cant believe I ever drank the Kool aid…
***hangs head in shame***
There will be many more trolls trying to infiltrate this blog.
Many other blogs are having problems and are on alert.
good morning Pumas! Well today is a new day…we have been working so hard for so long…and our time is almost here. We have more work to do, but I think that we should take today, at least some part of it and get outdoors, count our blessings, pray, meditate, walk, soak in the sunshine, and get rejuvenated. We will have a long week ahead of us, and much work to do in Denver. DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED….it should be the opposite…Look how far we have come, how many people we have on one accord….great things happen when great minds band together…WE HAVE PUMA POWER…WE ARE THE ONES THEY NEVER EXPECTED…BE VERY PROUD!

Texas Now you are getting into technical repair…It requires a special degree to properly shake and bang a lap top. But I did read somewhere you can get your degree in computer shaking ad banking in 6 months online for the low low price of 19.99! But wait! there’s more! LOL
I sent the following message to Dean and the DNC a few minutes ago. Aisian4Hillary I sincerely hope that you won’t mind that I included your post.
HOWARD DEAN AND THE DNC:
WE THE PEOPLE are wondering if the DNC thinks that we will all fall in line after Obama is CROWNED at the Convention. I am not a crazy old woman, but I am an 82 year old woman who has been a staunch Democrat since the days as a small child I paraded around the house yelling: “Vote for Landon and land on the streets.” However, I am not leaving the party, THE PARTY HAS ALREADY LEFT ME. The following is an example of what a corrupt leadership of the DNC has done to the Democrat Party.
When NOBAMA swing that door wide open, we saw the FILTH DNC have been hiding for YEARS, from bribing super delegates to threatening voters during caucus, intimidating delegates supporting Hillary. AL CAPONE is happy to see NOBAMA practicing with GUSTO true CORRUPT CHICAGO POLITICS in NATIONAL level.
I have posted this a few times with no luck so far..Will anyone from Indiana please email me with your names and addresses so we can be ready for the delegate letter.

Good morning Pumas, I just donated $5.00 for Denver. Receipt #0193-7584-7307-4680. All I can afford until the 20th. I donate $25.00 every month automatically. I will donate more on the 20th. I hope this helps a little.
last night on the news, they were saying bo tanked in his response on the russia problems ~ it showed how inexperienced he really is~ and that McCain was at his best yet~ that he is familiar with the situation and has handled it like it should be deal with~
i hope bozo keeps tanking and takes dean and pelosi with him!!!
Yay Trish cant wait to see it. I made a new one yesterday, but it is not about the election.. I was missing my son. If you get to see it though the last pic in it is my son!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vtKdz9TS7w
and just now Fox showed that McCain and bozo are tied at 44% each~
Hillary would be so far ahead of McCain~ but I am at least happy that bo is dropping in his polls!!!
Good Morning Pumas – I see alot of faces from late last nite – do you have doubles!!
Absolutely love the kitten!
I see the the “guest” is still here or just another “clone”?
The day of Hillary’s suspension speech which I listened to on radio because I was working, after the speech ended I thought “He cannot win.” Compared to what she showed and did in the last half of the primaries’ he as a candidate did not come close. I believed that he could not win a general election, no way, no how. Since then, he has shown that he cannot. The force of the power of PUMAS/JSND and all others (as evidenced by how many sites, blogs, registrants to same have popped up and by the increasing number as the convention nears), is MUCH greater than whatever “power” he and DNC has. They have put the wrong horse in the race but it is not too late to scratch him and enter her. She already has the votes, hearts and minds, to win the general.
Power in Denver!!!!!!!!!!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I wrote the Pew research site (Thursday 8/14) to try to do a Clinton/McCain poll, just to see what results would occur, in light of her name being put in nomination.

And in more somber news: Warner Brothers Arbitrarily Delays Harry Potter Release Until July, Online Petition Gathers Steam.
http://politicallydrunk.blogspot.com/2008/08/warner-brothers-arbitrarily-delays.html
I know the Potter story is way off topic, but it’s my rant for the day.
There is so much going on! We won round one, now we must go on and win round 2: The convention! Short time, but doable.
I think the Georgian/Russian conflict has been an eye opener for a lot of people. This type of crisis is one that can show up the flaws in any administration or candidate. McCain rose to the challenge in a reasonable and rational manner, Obama is just a school kid sitting on the sidelines watching the parade go by.
Those who thought he was Presidential material are being forced, once again, to see the situation in a new light. Do we REALLY want someone as inexperienced and unready to take over our country in the White House? Even if we have a different ideology than McCain, at least he knows what to do in a crisis!
Can it be that Hillary is looking better and better all the time? Surely the people in charge in the DNC are having second thoughts?

I have some other friends (non PUMA) who are very unhappy with our success. One wrote me this morning that we are living a fantasy. That one small group cannot accomplish anything of the sort that we are trying to accomplish.
I believe this is much more than a fantasy: It is democracy in action. A group of people working to clean up corruption in our political party and by extension in our government, is truly what democracy is all about.
We will succeed. The number of Hillary supporters among the delegates at the convention appears to be growing. We have a week to convince more of them to come over to our side. I want Hillary to win, even if she releases her delegates. That way, she would be able to show that she is the TRUE winner.

This person actually lives outside of the country, in Turkey. She only gets her information from ultra left wing blogs and sanitized msm news sources. We are both part of an international political discussion group. She didn’t even know who Paris and Brittany were! Sometimes I think that the locals are just as far removed from reality as she is.
We have to wake these people up. The truth is: The convention is WHERE we are supposed to do the final selection of the nominee in the absence of a real winner in the primaries. Many people do not realize that. They are willing to go along and get along for the sake of unity or some other stupid idea. How can we make them see the light?
171 SouthJerseyPUMA
Wouldn’t you think that is another reason why Corsi is getting death threats? XO is has many relationships with extremists – he wants to be a dictator! It’s in the other book also by Frederroso I believe.
And again, he will just tell you that he shouldn’t be judge by his acquaintances – look at the radical associations he has surrounding him.

Well I am a very far left democrat. I was immediately taken aback when Barack started to back pedal on his position in the Iraq war, for obvious reasons. But I still thought well he can “have a closer Look” and still end it, so I hung on.
THEN being non-Judeo-Christian I was fit to be tied at the complete change of postion on “faith Based initiatives”
THEN the FISA vote and I was DONE..
I wanted my vote back! I was disgusted and decided that the entire process had been the theft of an election.

OBAMA AUTHOR ANDY MARTIN ATTENDS A “PUMA” CONFERENCE AND FINDS A NASCENT REFORM MOVEMENT IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY
ANTI-OBAMA LEADER MARTIN SAYS PUMA PACKS PUNCH IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY; JUST WAIT AND SEE
(NEW YORK)(August 15, 2008) Last weekend I spent three days at a conference sponsored by a maverick group of dissident Democrats. The “PUMA” conference was held in a nondescript Washington suburban motel. I was writing a new essay on the history of reform in the Democratic Party over the past 80 years; the PUMA’s appealed to me as exemplars of reform and dissent (the column is still not finished). I was asked not to write about the conference until after the proceedings were completed and I complied with that embargo.
Little did I realize that crackpot left-wingers and right-wingers would be attacking this placid and almost tranquil conference as a hotbed of radicalism. Nothing could have been further from the truth. The Huffington Post also sent one of their acolytes to attend; she was so inept she didn’t even know where the conference was being held. I also became the target of vicious and irrational attacks from people who were not there.
On reflection, the desire of the organizers to close the meeting to news media appears sensible. I was happy to be the only media presence in attendance.
I am now convinced the PUMA movement is morphing into something vastly more influential than I realized, all due to the hysteria of the left and right. Here’s a little background.
Every day we get hundreds of e-mails from all sorts of sources. Our job at ContrarianCommentary.com is to make sense of this mélange, and to sort the wheat from the chaff. We do a pretty good job of doing just that. As a result of being fair to both conservatives and liberals we also receive input from all types of sources and channels. The result is that we are usually a week to ten days ahead of our competitors in the mainstream media.
For example, the now legendary cell phone video of Hillary Clinton seeking to have her name placed in nomination for “catharsis” reached my desk within hours; it took the mainstream media ten days to get the same material and realize its significance. I attended the PUMA conference in a spirit of inquiry.
Some writers have sought to ridicule the meeting for a variety of perceived failures. On the contrary, the meeting was an extraordinary event and highly successful.
First, the meeting was national. People came from across the United States. It’s not easy to create a national movement overnight. PUMA’s have accomplished something very challenging when they convince people from coast to coast to assemble in one place.
Second, the PUMA movement provided “cover” for the ultimately successful efforts to have Hillary Clinton’s name placed in nomination. PUMAs were even more successful than any Clinton supporter could have predicted.
Third, as in the case of most political meetings, much of the “content” was boring, organizational, and basic politics. Although David Shuster (sitting in on MSNBC’s Hardball) tried to suggest PUMA was a Republican “front,” I saw no evidence of that fact. The attendance was primarily, though not exclusively, composed of women who had hitherto been loyal Democrats.
Fourth, although hostile bloggers have criticized the TV presence of PUMA representatives, the PUMA media techniques are not a concern. The people involved are amateurs. They are not professional politicians and they are not professional media types. They are going to have rough edges. They are not going to be smooth and polished.
Fifth, the Democrats are taking “women” for granted because of some of the loonier planks of the Republican Party platform. But in an election where Democrats are likely to retain congress, Democratic women maybe much more inclined to stray to McCain when they know he will be hemmed in by a solidly Democratic congress. The women I saw at the PUMA conference are being discounted and underestimated, and they don’t like it.
I attended my first Democratic National Convention forty (40) years ago, in Chicago. I saw the chaos on the streets. Today, the Internet, cell phones, digital cameras, blogs and the paraphernalia of the i-pod generation have largely supplanted street protests. But people are more powerful in 2008 than they were in 1968. I have not seen anything since 1968 with the gathering storm potential of 2008.
Well, what is happening and what does PUMA represent?
First, PUMA activity is a quintessential example of the “aggregating” power of the Internet. People across the United States are linked in a network that, however rudimentary and preliminary it may appear to outsiders, is gaining strength and managed to assemble a national turnout.
Second, there is a nascent reform movement in the Democratic Party. The “outsiders” may ridicule PUMA, but something happened this week to afford Clinton a name on the convention ballot as well as a prime-time speaking engagement. Dick Morris on Hannity and Colmes called these concessions an Obama disaster. Why did Obama’s people give in? They realize that there is sustained opposition out there. PUMA’s may not have the internal party power to have a conventional impact, but they can act as a focal point for others to concentrate their own energy and opposition.
Third, the PUMA movement is going to be extraordinarily well-organized and powerfully connected in Denver. The right/left wing bloggers and mainstream media may claim that PUMA’s are “small in number.” That’s not a problem. Small groups can function with lethal impact. Just ask the Green Beret (12-man) “A” teams.
Fourth, PUMAS are going to Denver to be heard. I will also be in Denver to observe and report. I was initially a little concerned about spending three days in Washington; now that I have seen the developments of this week, I am absolutely glad I attended.
Fifth, with time and exposure and experience, amateurs become more professional and more effective. That will no doubt happen with the PUMA movement. It has happened to every party reform movement in the past.
Sixth, the process by which Barack Obama claimed the nomination, namely a skewed delegate system that underweights big states and overweights small states, is a disgrace to democracy. The caucus system is rife with corruption and cronyism. There is no way Obama would have won in a race where Ohio and Pennsylvania had the proportional impact with Idaho and Kansas. The current proportional allocation system leads to an undemocratic and disproportionate result. There will be reform of the Democratic Party; PUMA activists could help spearhead it.
My audience and influence have grown exponentially during 2008 because of my impartial commentary and cutting edge investigation. Those who criticize me are merely expressing sour grapes. If the best people can do to smear me as a columnist is to dig up 25 year old litigation I handled, they are worse sickos and more desperate than anyone can imagine. And they are all funded and controlled by Barack Obama and George Soros.
My record of writing on Obama since 2004 and Clinton since 2008 has proven prescient and unerringly accurate. My new book, Obama: The Man Behind The Mask, details much of this research and commentary. http://OrangeStatePress.com. I will keep telling the truth, and keep driving both the extreme left and the extreme right crazy.

I received a message from Howard Dean yesterday and one from tom Somebody today about the ‘lies’ being told about Jester in these new books, particularly the one “Obama Nation’ by that swift boat guy.
It is a shame that the swift boat thing is taintin this. But Martin’s book isn’t tainted. The worst anyone on my political discussion group can say is that he is a ‘right wing hack’ or something of the sort. That is tame for this particular individual. She usually has dragon breath when it comes to attacks on Jester.
Anyway, I may squeeze the money out of my tight budget to buy Andy Martin’s book. It should be a good read.

I heard just the opposite. WalMart was giving seminars to employees stressing how certain tax increases would affect productivity and jobs…these were BO’s tax plans. An employee made a complaint that WalMart was illegally advocating for McCain. It was determined that WalMart did not cross the line.

Obama Confirms Relationship with CPUSA Member
By Cliff Kincaid Saturday, August 16, 2008
“With the release of a 40-page “Unfit for Publication” report attacking Jerome Corsi’s new book, The Obama Nation, it should be obvious that the media-backed presidential candidate, Barack Obama, is terrified of having his carefully concealed communist and foreign connections exposed to public view.
However, the Obama campaign’s attack on Corsi’s book and Corsi personally acknowledges on pages 9 and 10 of its report that the mysterious “Frank” in Obama’s 1995 book, Dreams From My Father, is in fact the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) member Frank Marshall Davis. This identification by AIM and others hasn’t been disputed by the media, which has desperately tried to ignore the Obama-Davis relationship, but the Obama campaign has not responded to it until now.
The admission that Obama’s mentor was Frank Marshall Davis, an identified CPUSA member, can only add to growing public concern about Obama’s relationship with a Communist pawn of Moscow who was the subject of security investigations by the FBI and various congressional committees which examined Soviet activities in the U.S.
According to these official documents, cited first by AIM and also by Corsi in his book, Davis was a secret CPUSA member who became a member of an underground communist apparatus in Hawaii. As late as the 1970s, Davis was involved with a CPUSA front organization, the American Committee for Protection of Foreign Born, dedicated to keeping foreign communists such as labor leader Harry Bridges from being deported from the U.S. Davis, a friend of Bridges, a secret CPUSA member, became Obama’s mentor during the years 1975-1979.
But the Obama report makes no admission that Davis was a communist and doesn’t dispute anything Corsi documents about Davis’s membership in the Communist Party. Instead, the report picks and chooses from Obama’s book in order to try to put some distance between Obama and Davis. The report attempts to play down instances in which Obama soaks up Davis’s anti-American thoughts and pro-communist “poetry.”
But if the relationship were so innocent, why didn’t Obama identify Frank by his full name in his book and denounce his communist and anti-American views? Why doesn’t he denounce those views now? ”

You have to understand that he has strong supporters for socialism – Pelosi and others! That is a part of Marxism – it is also why they aren’t concerned about his associations. George Soros, etc……..it just goes on and on with its ugly head.
A week from today will be my 55th birthday. That day my 21 year old college senior daughter, Beth (Makawashinatusko on PUMA) will fly out to LA for her great adventure as an exchange student at Cal State Northridge for a year. She checks into the dorm later that day, and starts classes on the 25th.
It occurs to me that she isn’t the only one traveling to a good cause that weekend and starting a great adventure that week. Thousands of our extended PUMA family will be traveling to Denver and to the convention that will likely shape the future of our nation that same weekend and week.
Let us all think great good thoughts for our Beth and our PUMAS. A few prayers would be in order too, it would seem.

Propaganda
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Propaganda is a concerted set of messages aimed at influencing the opinions or behaviors of large numbers of people. As opposed to impartially providing information, propaganda in its most basic sense presents information in order to influence its audience. Propaganda often presents facts selectively (thus lying by omission) to encourage a particular synthesis, or gives loaded messages in order to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented. The desired result is a change of the cognitive narrative of the subject in the target audience to further a political agenda.
Propaganda is the deliberate, systematic attempt to shape perceptions, manipulate cognitions, and direct behavior to achieve a response that furthers the desired intent of the propagandist.

I agree absolutely, Pumas have their missions and Hillary has her mission.
And as they say all roads lead to Rome!
Where were you last night Kit in your Hat, we had an antagonist that you could have easily taken care of. (smile)

All I ‘saw’ was the whole Obama Campaign, the Mainstream Media, and that ‘new’ Democratic National Committee!

Essentially a tie.
Dems cannot be happy about this, but what did they expect?
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows Barack Obama attracting 43% of the vote while John McCain earns 41%. When “leaners” are included, it’s Obama 46% and McCain 45% (see recent daily results). Tracking Polls are released at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Time each day (Premium Members can see more at the Daily
Good morning pumas,
I just got a bad feeling about this Rick Warren debate thing. The problem for me is that Warren has ties to Oprah, and we all know she’s in the tank for Obama.I think Obama allready knows the questions in advance so he can practice the answers. And Obama goes first, before McCain. I smell another Rat Cause ya know Obama will not agree to any debates except the 3 he has to by the Presidential rules thingy.
I bopped 110 times til my finger couldnt take it
TRISH: I love your latest video. I have already watched it three times.
Also, I want to tell you that you gave me my first smile of the day, simply when I saw your name for the first time today.

I agree with your analysis. However, Pumas are making a difference because Hillary now has over 1900+ delegates. We will have to “roll with the punches.”

Thank you for sharing Andy Martin’s column. I’m going to save it and use it for reference.

STATE PLEDGED DELEGATES
#81 anonymous
I posted here yesterday what Ed Rendell said on FOX, that delegates are not obligated to vote for anyone. Well, in PA, that’s true; but in states like CA, OR, GA, NH… delegates must follow their candidates into the convention, per state law. EVERYTIME EACH OF YOU DISCUSSES WHAT’S GOING ON FROM NOW UNTIL THE CONVENTION, MENTION THIS. According to the article, HRC is losing state delegates. How is that? BO’s people – not the DNC – have been writing letters to delegates in every state, asking them to fill out questionnaires disclosing personal information, threatening to humiliate them if they refuse. Even HRC delegates, pledged, in states whose laws require them to vote for her through the first roll call at the convention.
If BO’s people are so confident HRC will lose, why are they fighting so dirty, in every state in the country, to win?

Oh my heavens this brought tears to my eyes. It just reminds me of how for so many centuries women have been suffering at the hands of men trying to keep us down. My favorite quote of all time has been,
Scarlett’s “I’ll think about that tomorrow.”
PUMAs I have not liked the subdued, sad, and sullen posts in the past 24 hours. We accomplished great things…….Hillary’s name is in nomination, she will have her roll call, the Democrats have recognized PUMA PAC and other groups a force to be reckoned with. We can’t take this victory and make it into a defeat.
We MUST lift our fists to the skies and like Scarlett
O Hara say, “AS GOD AS MY WITNESS, I WILL NEVER BE HUNGRY AGAIN.”
We have great support here in this blog. We MUST lift each other up, and NOT allow the MSM to drag us down with their dribble. NO matter the outcome at the convention, “WE” must be proud of all we have accomplished. OUR 18 MILLION VOICES HAVE BEEN HEARD, AND OUR 18 MILLION VOTES WILL BE CAST IN NOV.
As Helen Reddy says in her song “I AM Woman”…
I am woman, hear me roar
In numbers too big to ignore
And I know too much to go back an’ pretend
’cause I’ve heard it all before
And I’ve been down there on the floor
No one’s ever gonna keep me down again
Oh yes I am wise
But it’s wisdom born of pain
Yes, I’ve paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to, I can do anything
I am strong (strong)
I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman
You can bend but never break me
’cause it only serves to make me
More determined to achieve my final goal
And I come back even stronger
Not a novice any longer
’cause you’ve deepened the conviction in my soul
I am woman watch me grow
See me standing toe to toe
As I spread my lovin’ arms across the land
But I’m still an embryo
With a long long way to go
Until I make my brother understand
Oh yes I am wise
But it’s wisdom born of pain
Yes, I’ve paid the price
But look how much I gained
If I have to I can face anything
I am strong (strong)
I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman
Oh, I am woman
I am invincible
I am strong
I am woman
I am invincible
I am strong
I am woman
(all allocolades to Helen Reddy my 70′s Hero)
Hillary and all of us have learned from this process. Win or Lose, we have gained the knowledge to be prepared for the future plights. One very inspiring, intelligent, phenomenal woman said, “I AM IN IT TO WIN IT!” Winning comes at a price, and sometimes we actually win although it appears it is a loss.
Come on PUMAs..get on the prowl and inspire your readers, fellow members and bloggers the way you did ME, to make me want to join and be a part of this amazing organization.
URGENT OBAMA CAMP MEMO LEAKED GREAT READING!
Axelrod Memo To Staffers: We’ve Got Trouble
The following memo was leaked to Pajamas Media anonymously from a server tracked to a hotel in downtown Denver.
BEGIN DOCUMENT
MEMORANDUM
DATE: August 13, 2008
TO: The Inner Circle, The Disciples
SUBJECT: That hateful partisan story in today’s Rocky Mountain News
From the Desk of David Axelrod
Chief Media Consultant
Obama for America 2008
Hey guys,
We’ve got trouble.
Somehow media hack Kevin Vaughn found out about The One’s requirement that those who wish to hear Him give His acceptance speech must put in six hours of “volunteer” work. Here’s what one of our devotees was quoted saying.
“My whole reason why I’m so mad about it is because Democrats need to act like Democrats,” said Heather Kreider, a working mother from Centennial.
“Democrats work for a living, and they have to work and take care of their families. And they say these are open to those in the community, so they shouldn’t ask people to drop everything in their lives for this,” Kreider said Tuesday.
“It’s not fair. It’s elitist. And they need to practice what they’re preaching,” she added.
You can see the whole story but it’s just more of the same. We look bad, and The One doesn’t look good either.
Worse, Vaughn claims that “Arbeit macht tickets” won’t even guarantee a ticket, just a shot at getting one. Is that right? This was Hildrebrand’s idea wasn’t it? Brilliant! (Way better than that stupid “viral” hand gesture thing Patti came up with. Like a giant vagina is going to help us with the white male vote. Send her back to the Clintons, ASAP.) How many extra workers will we get for those tix? Two for each? Three? But it sure doesn’t make us look good now that it’s gotten out. We’ve got to get things cleared up, pronto. If that means losing some “volunteers,” then so be it. Also, this is going to require a BIG press offensive, and I want nothing but facts out there this time, OK?
I’ve come up with three points. Don’t deviate.
DETAIL: It is NOT true that devotees who want a picture of The One must rake his lawn. That’s only if they want it autographed. But don’t mention that last part. Also don’t mention that thing with the yard signs we had printed up in China. Who knew how flammable those were going to be? Anyway, stick to the denial, and don’t elaborate under any condition. The Boss has gotten into trouble doing just that (remember His promise to meet all those dictators?); we don’t need to make more trouble for Him.
DENY: Not every DNC attendee will have to detail His car. Just the ones who insist on wearing stupid hats and anything in excess of three (tastefully sized; see my 4/20/08 memo) lapel pins. It’s also not true Clinton delegates will be forced to park their cars right next to the Designated Protest Pen. The Clintons caught wind of that idea when Plouffe first floated it – find that mole! – and so now we’ve got to let BOTH of them speak during His convention. The Democratic Party doesn’t belong to the Clintons anymore, and we can’t give them any chances to make people forget that it’s ours.
DISTRACT: Those gun-toting religious nuts at Focus on the Family down in Colorado Springs stepped in it, too. They had an announcement on their website asking all their people to “pray for rain” on the night of The One’s big speech. Remind the cattle, gently, that Mile High isn’t a dome, and do they really want to get their nice hair and suits wet? The fuss got so bad at Focus that they took down the page. Tell the cattle – er, press – to “focus” on THAT. (ABC News is already carrying water for us on this one. If you thought The Note was in the bag for Lurch in ‘04, wait’ll you see what Rick Klein has hinted he’ll do for US in the next 90 days.
Remember, it’s vital we keep a lid on this. I don’t want to see this all over the web tomorrow. The Clintons are paying dearly for their own leaked memos at The Atlantic, and that’s not the kind of trouble we need this close to His ascension.
Stick to the script!
