HUH……
How did that happen #1…..lol
I was watching fox and decided to log on here to see if ya’ll where going to this site ?
http://getdrunkandvote4mccain.com/
we need to tell them that they do have another choice!!!!
Went to platform site and it said I had already taken it. Don’t even know what it looks like!!!!!
the survey says i’ve already done it, is it possible?
btw… meow
Said the same thing to me………
boy am I slow! tennaseepuma just taking up the whole blog!
#4, 5, and 7
Is it possible that you took the survey from the NoQuarter website? There was a link there and I took it over there a while ago.
Goodevening PUMA’s~
#9 KarlaforHillary…..that is the site where I took it..
I have been taking so many, that its is possible……..lol
anyway, All….. nighty night… hope you like my comment on that article about pumas
bmw60: Thank you for talking about the PUMA movement. I was a Democrat and changed to an Independent after I saw the fiasco of the Democratic primary and the way the MSM called for Hillary to drop out before all the votes were counted. Hillary was the only one who was concerned about the voters, you know, THE PEOPLE. The people who work, live and make this country the America that I grew up in. The media does not own this country (esp., Jack Cafferty and CNN… I have stopped watching the news there and only watch Lou Dobbs on that station because of him.)
I am voting country before party. Believe me and many others… maybe all don’t speak out, but you can believe they exist and WE AREN’T GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! The Sexism, the mysogeny, the outright lies by the MSM, the lack of pride by the DNC, the distortions of truth by pundits and the DNC, etc.

Sometimes I feel like I have taken every survey and signed every petition at least 5 times each.
another blasting day against #61! lol..
I did not take that survey and it says I did… I think there is something wrong with it!!!
NITE ALL
Amen to that……
Too funny Pumas — we’ve all taken it. So that means, copy the link and email it to your friends. Remember, this is not an official Puma survey or anything. It’s just a democratic party platform survey. Seriously. You should feel absolutely free to send a link to it to even your BO supporting friends and family.
I love that Over logo. That needs some heavy-duty circulation.
nite bmw~
****ok that site tells me i took it already… ????
not that i know of!!!!
In the meantime, here are some things to keep in mind. First, and most importantly, Barack Obama is NOT the presidential nominee of the Democratic Party. The nominee will be chosen at the Democratic National Convention the last week of August. Only 175 super delegates need to change their votes in order for Hillary to win nomination at the convention. Until then the Democratic Party has no nominee. Howard Dean and the DNC want you and the media to believe Obama has been nominated already. That is NOT TRUE.
Currently, most polls have Obama tied or losing to John McCain. McCain is also gaining ground and/or beating Obama in states around the country. Obama can’t close the deal because he is NOT the people’s choice. That’s what happens when a political party tries to select a candidate instead of backing the candidate that got the most votes of the people. This is what happened to George McGovern in 1972. He had more delegates, but did not win the popular vote. He lost 49 states in that election to Richard Nixon. If Obama is the nominee the Democratic Party will fail to win the White House again.
There are 2.5 million members of the PUMA/Just Say No Deal Coalition registered online. There are another estimated 2-3 million more PUMAs who are not online. There are countless others who do not have internet access. It will be our job to reach them and make sure they understand what the DNC has done. It will be your job to make sure that they stand up for Democracy and fight for what is right; one person one vote, with no one from the party telling you your vote doesn’t count. You are part of the most powerful political force in America. We will decide who will be the next President of the United States. It will not be Barack Obama.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. If you wish to be removed from the contact list please let me know. Thank you for your commitment to Democracy.

NIGHT ALL. … REPOST FROM DOWN BELOW
read a storry by Richard Carlson who wrote several small books, one being “Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff”.
I cannot remember if it came from that book, but I do remember the gist of the story.
When we get bogged down in life:
Think of yourself in a motorboat. While you are in the boat it is moving forward just like your life is.
The future is ahead of you as you move forward. While in the boat ask yourself three questions:
1. What powers the boat? Answer: The motor.
2. What is behind the boat? Answer: The wake of the boat.
3. Are you moving forward if you are living in the wake? Answer: No.
You must stay in the boat letting the motor of your life move you forward. If you are living in the wake (the past) then you cannot have a future.
Moral of the story: Stay in your boat and move forward along with the boat and don’t look back. The wake does not have any power to get you to the future.
Murphy
LOVE that graphic!!
T-shirts..signs… bumperstickers!!
I just went into the noquarter site and was able to take the survey there. It says they are having computer glitches.
23 murphy
went there -clicked on Puma link and voila! right back here…lol
Someone needs to go rescue LilyMaid… I thing she’s stuck downstairs.
okay… I’ll go.
Like Obama, I swear if i see pelosi’s face one more time, I will SNAP !!
Where is everyone tonight?
Repost from downstairs….
Just had on news dems supposed to give out details on how to claim tickets to Invesco probably tomorrow. On a first come first serve basis. Said if haven’t applied better do it tonight. Party members getting antsy cause they passing out all over country and some people have to make arrangements to get here. Gonna be a catch cause BO doesn’t want any empty seats. Only wants to give to people guaranteed to show up. Wonder what the catch is going to be?????? Colorado dem party asked for 10,000 of the 75,000.
Think they’re talking on the stairs Karla
Already took the survey too.
#33 Taffy
I figure they are finding some way to rig it so that only BO supporters are in those seats.
Ok we need to do this tomorrow…she is a reporter that owns this site…we have to convert her…i know i can’t but ya’ll could…i say tomorrow because the site wont let you register….it has a glitch…. but i emailed them to let them know… maybe it will be fixed in the am.
I have seen her many time on fox but i can’t remeber her name…. she is blonde is all i can tell ya. She was on hannity tonight….trashed BO. But she needs a drink to vote for McCain.
I was watching fox and decided to log on here to see if ya’ll where going to this site ?

we need to tell them that they do have another choice!!!!
I’m betting they look at campaign donaters
I filled out a survey for Air America and told them I wouldn’t vote for Barack, etc. pushed submit and the survey told me I already voted. I did not already vote. Now I read you all saying the same things are happening on other surveys. Are the bots taking over our mail and skewing the surveys so people don’t realize how badly BO is tanking? Wow! This man and his minions should be jailed.
Taffy — you are probably right
Everyone who is unable to take the survey, maybe you should all try again in the morning. I’m not sure how the whole internet thing works, but I know all the banks and businesses in my town today were having trouble with their websites? Maybe Bush is spying heavily on us all today
I went to noquarter link from here and took the survey…….
Off for some shut-eye.
See all you wonderful Pumas in the morning!
D.
Nite Murphy
I had the same problem – survey said I took it already when I knew I hadn’t. Attempted again days later and was able to respond to the questions.
My advice is to go back and try again.
The lights went off and while waiting for them to come back on, Dances came down the steps with a flashlight. But she climbs much faster than me, and I am exhausted from trying to keep up.
Nite All!
Good night Murphy

Bush is spying heavily on us? more likely *61 & bots trying to obliterate us all! I swear I just do not understand what the “draw ” is with this guy. Have any of you heard him speak in person? Please , tell me, is he hypnotic??
Nite antifish
ok ill post it tomorrow…lol i see everyone is out of gas…lol…no comment..
Sunshinelvr
I have never heard BO speak in person. Thank goodness! I am afriad that if I look at him directly I may turn to stone!
nite murphy…DWP.I read over the blog about *61′s astrology chart..unfortunately, I am not much into it–but it sounds very descritive of him and the “ego”..
nite all……….
So…..who is the logical choice if it’s NOT Hillary? Practically all veterans are against MCain, becausae he cracked under torture as a POW, which many men did, but he is the one that provided secret code information to the North Vietnamese which resulted in many Americans being killed.
There are sites online to confirm this, but I get the info direct from a man I have utmost respect for who was a special forces soldier ON THE GROUND for 3 tours in Viet Nam. He says that the Vets are ready to swiftboat McCain after the conventions.
And Giulliani has the Whitey tape and other info to stick it to the Obama campaign after the conventions, when the ‘rubber meets the road’.
So I am wondering just WHO has a viable chance to beat them both…..besides Hillary?
The sad reality is that neither man is fit to lead this country at this time in our history.
BO deserves to be in jail and McCain to be pitied.
tucsonjr @@@@@@@@ LMAO…..I needed to laugh tonight…..YES they should all be in JAIL !!

bmw60. Please don’t be offended. I just wanted to express my condolences. I tried to take it. The site told me that, I already took it. I know I didn’t. I would like to sign the party platform.

That is the scariest part of the whole election. Who are we going to vote for? I absolutely will not vote for BO, but staying home would actually be voting for him. I guess I have to pick the lesser of the two evils and vote McCain. Unless, of course, Hillary becomes the nominee.
partially completed prowls tonight, will try to make calls tomorrow during the day. I have a full time volunteer job taking care of my baby grandson, 15 mos. He has therapists who come, and medical visits.
MountainSong..I keep hearing this about McCain..but nowhere have I seen any concrete proof that this is so..(that he gave up info)..I don’t believe it, either..
greenfun: Your dream is funny, I think it means your spirit guides have a very funny sense of humor!! You know we all have spirit guides (kind of like guardian angels)…

Thanks for noticing that I am sometimes absent. I have 3 kids who always seem to be traveling in 3 different directions, so many days I do the prowl, read a couple of posts, and that is it. Usually when I am here it is late at night.
nite-nite, antifish..
BO has already demonstrated that he has enough ‘hot air’ to solve the energy crisis. And McCain has alrady forgotten more than BO even knows.

KarlaforHillary @@@@ If Hill is not our nominee, we ABSOLUTELY have to vote for McCain. I know, I don’t want to either. But we can’t let the DNC get away with the corrupt behavior they displayed to Majority of the people that voted for Hill. EVERYTHING damn thing they did was against the constitution !! They have to know that we will not allow them to corrupt our process, and ignore the people. They have to be held accountable. The bigger picture has to be looked at for the future of our nation and the Democratic party. Just my opinion.
hi Mountainsong, karla,
hey have a little faith. Everything is moving the way it should be and let’s wait for the Convention, just be patient & not worry too much for now…we will not have to pick between 2 bad choices.
When I called Dean’s office today (I called right after the prowl started by chance) the woman was polite, & put me into voicemail. I left a polite but firm message for Dean. I really have a good feeling about the way things have been going this week:
* polls neck-and-neck
* NY Times op ed today (Brooks)
* many of the Obama op ed cartoons last week
* FL & MI delegates will (hopefully) count for full votes for HRC
* even Anderson Cooper tonight saying what’s the problem w/Obama’s ratings??!
#71 Sunshinelvr Thanks, it is a lifelong issue, but he is a charmer.
Or just ask any REAL Viet Nam vet. Of all the POW’s that were released by North Viet Nam, all got promotions EXCEPTY for McCain.
MountainSong @@@@@@@@@ LMAO !! YOU are right on !!

He couldn’t spew the hot air and BS out the other end fast enough to keep up with all the boos from the audience.
There is a big part of me that wants to believe that everything is going the way it should be and Hillary will be our nominee, but then there is the nagging part of me that fears I am wrong and no matter how hard we try we can’t fight the system.
I guess all we can do is keep trying. All I know for sure is that if BO gets in the White House this country is in for a world of hurt.

Obama supporters are praying for us.
“Pray for HRC and her supporters (Community Service)
From 6/1-9/1 Watching the spectical on Sat. at the rules meeting breaks my heart. We can’t wait for HRC to see the light on her own, we need to begin praying for her and her supporters now. Please commit to praying for them daily to 1) stop trying to hurt the Obama’s and the Democratic party. 2) Pray God will speak to them all and change their hearts so their only pursuit will be party unity and whole heartedly backing Sen. Obama.”

what did you mean in your post earlier today about media & tv shows & “it’s only just begun,” I didn’t quite follow that…
Where u at, Blue? I’m in Washington (state, that is)
#87 hillstheone
You have got to be kidding me!! They are seriously delusional over there!!
I’m going to vote for T. Boone Pickens. He might be a billionaire capitalist Republican but ya oughta check out his website pickensplan.com
karla: isn’t that FUNNY?!!

Even Zogby concede (pardon the expression) that Obama’s numbers were sliding. (post is downstairs).
89 DancesWithPumas exactly!
TOPIC: CBS, Perhaps??
Maybe CBS will finally open the door a crack to us PUMAS now that a “celebrity” like Voight has come out w/his editorial on Obama (which was also on cbs’s website, btw):
Jon Voight: My Concerns for America
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2008/jul/28/voight/
I think you are all obviously professional dream interpreters. Did I mention the moderator of the debate turned green and then collapsed on the floor?
But my conscience will prolly be clear 10 years from now…if I just don’t vote for anyone. It seems like the only real choice is between being hung with a new rope or an old one.
MountainSong @@@@@ about as far east of you as one can go !! North Carolina…I lived in San Fran once for about 5 years but never made it to your state. Hear it is beautiful !!
87 hillstheone
so when are we getting our prayer group on??
Imagine, if you believe in God, praying to God and asking Her to change voters’ opinions?
good god almighty!! what a freaking goof.
I wonder if theyve sent their letters to Santa Claus early too?
I am wondering if Rev. Wright is praying for us too.
Bummer! Guess I musta missed ya when I was in Raleigh a few years ago.:)
MountainSong #92@@@@@@@@LMAO !!!
Funny, Obama and his bots lie, cheat, steal, etc…and then they talk about praying for us?? Does it get any more hypocritical?
I get so many anti-Obama email jokes from my Republican family. I now live in a strong Republican county. In my youth I was so persuasive, I got my Republican parents to become Democrats. Now I am considering voting for McCain. Seems I am dishonoring the roots I myself planted…a first generation Democrat. But I will never vote for Obama…and since I don’t want him to be President, I will have have to vote for McCain. I don’t feel I can make a statement by voting outside of the two parties because my vote might indirectly help Obama.
TOPIC: “Like, O’s people so totally love us like soo totally much! ;D It’s unreal, like I’m so totally excited over my chance to vote!! For change and like, everything! Like, I cannot totally BELIEVE I can even pray with right-to-lifer’s, can you, MBFF?!!” ;D ;D

“did I mention the moderator of the debate turned green”
—————————————————-
Means he left the Demoncratic Party and joined teh Green Party, and you should switch parties as well.
Alot of similarities between Washington and North Carolina. In fact there is one area of the mountains here around a town called Darrington which was settled and is still inhabited by people who call themselves ‘tarheels’, who came from NC.
103 MountainSong
are you sure? because if enough people just stay home..*61 CAN win..just because he has depressed the heck out of everyone and spread enough crap aboout McCain that he kept people at home …so, doing nothing to stop him will help your conscience stay clear???
Oh and please! do not be alarmed at my questions…the decision is entirely yours and I will not wish ill on you for your choice..neither will I argue with you about it.I just think it is VITALLY important that we do EVERYTHING we can to make sure *61 DOES NOT WIN.

“DAMN those PUMAS! DAMN them, and may their claws be eternally damned, may the chickens come home to roost in their DAMN lion caves!! Thank GOD for those chickens coming home to ROOST on those caves of damnation!” ;D ;D
Then he does a little jig.

Thank you so much. Clearly, you are psychic.
Well, I just can’t, in good conscience, vote for a man who caused the death of many of our young soldiers on the ground in Viet Nam, who were only doing what they believed their country called them to do, just like our guys in Iraq and Afganistan. Nor can I vote for a egomaniacal fraud who might destroy our entire country, just to be elected the ‘first black POTUS’.
It’s a bad dilemna.
I guess I shouldn’t laugh, though, those poor uninformed bots include right-to-lifer’s?! Gimme a break…!
Is it true that the only reason florida doesn’t just float off into the ocean is because Georgia sucks so bad?
hillstheone
Did you have a good trip?
Sunshinelvr @@@ Asheville “is” a beautiful place. It has changed a lot in 20 yrs. People keep wanting to move here, and soooooo many people here now. With that brings a lot of GOOD, and a lot of not so good too. I have lived in many places in the country in my 42 yrs, but I always feel more grounded here in my mtns.
120 hillstheone
If he sends any chickens into my lair..I am going to have myself a chicken dinner! UMMMMMgood!
Kendall: I dreamed HRC w/be Prez a long time ago, and I believe it. So I try to take everything lightly.
I’ll admit though I do get impatient when people keep thinking it’s gonna be McCain or Obama!
But I do like to laugh so laugh & be happy, as the saying goes… My gosh tho, Obots praying for us, it doesn’t get any better than that for a good laugh. Scarlet had the “post of the day,” in my mind!
My best friend voted for Nadar in 2000. He said if he knew then, what he knows now, he would have voted for Gore. In 2000 I was so upset with him for helping affect the outcome, but I soon apologized because America gives us the right to make statements.
Is it true that some people try to insult others just to make themselves feel better???
northernneighbor:
Hey, good to hear from you! Yes we had a great time. Highlights (my highlights) were the BC Museum and a guided raft trip on the Skagit River on Saturday…! I love the Canadian people too, so I’m sure it won’t be my last visit. I think Montreal might be in my future somewhere…
Is it true that the only reason florida doesn’t just float off into the ocean is because Georgia sucks so bad?
YEP !! Well actually, the coast line of Georgia is nice.
TOPIC: Right to lifers
So I dunno if you spotted that in the post I copied & pasted from Scarlett’s O-link, but does that mean Obama himself is aligning w/the Right-to-Lifer’s?!
If so, then are women’s groups lining up behing O now? I think NOW did, didn’t they?
hmm..
Do you all know that Hillary is still asking for donations to pay off her debt. I just thought I would mention it in case you have an extra $5.
Oh so we all are going to talk about Georgia ..huh?
nice! and I try to insult everybody’s else’s state, too..as much as possible.. Georgia has it faults..but overall it is just as nice as any other place…
hillstheone @@@ I understand your concerns. I think we all feel that way, just don’t say it. Speaking only for myself, I have been through enormous stress over this primary and waht took place. It has forever changed me. So, it is GOOD to have light moments and a few good laughs. Actually, I think it’s vital. That prayer thing is just UNBELIEVABLE HUH ??
Heidi Li ‘s blog addresses Obama’s prayer dupes:

Oh and you know what ? Nevermind! Talk all the trash you want to about Georgia or anything you wish. I heard about how some people get on here just to cause problems and I will not be one..so no more participation from me. have at it.
Sorry everyone. This is fun, but I have to get some sleep. I hope you all have great dreams–preferably none about a farting BO
Sunshinelvr @@@ Gosh sweetie, I was just playing. I have spent many a day in Georgia. Georgia is a fine state. I even pull for the Bulldogs in the SEC conference. I am only 3 and a half hours from hot lanta !!
#126 MountainSong…it is indeed a dilemma. I am going to weigh the choices, and make a decision that will not please me. Like you, I find War a big issue. My son-in-law goes to Iraq this year as part of the PA National Guard. He is a Democrat who does not support Obama. I do not know how he will vote. Obama is so muddled in his thinking, I fear muddled thinking about War.
And No, he will not become a PUMA. And neither will my older daughter, the only other Democrat in my family.
144 KENDALBLUE
Not to worry..meant what I said..
carry on…
On another note..maybe we should all go sign up to attend prayer meeting lmao… just load up the signup sheets!
Kendal: yes, it’s really unbelievable. But at the same time, funny (in a sad kind of way)!
And to answer your other thought – speaking for myself – even though I know HRC will be victorious in the end, I myself was extremely crestfallen on the day the Rules Committee met. So much so that I only watched a small part of Hillary’s speech a couple days later.
BTW I thought it interesting Steinem said in an interview that the “average” candidate takes 4 months to back another after stepping out of a campaign, and Hillary backed Obama within days. And was still ridiculed…
Sunshinelvr @@ didn’t mean to offend you at all.. I’m very sorry. Just silly chatter that’s all. I’m a southern girl and I don’t like anyone talking about my south..really, I meant no harm.
Prowls completed.
CNN had a opening segment questioning why the polls are tied. Mark Halperin of Time stated that McCain’s campaign was defining *61 to the voters. Another said that many people do not know that much about *61 or it might be his race or inexperience. Give me a break!
Over 36 million voters took part in the Democratic primaries and caucuses. *61 has had a fawning media and he still can’t close the deal. We know that *61 will do or say anything to get elected. In addition, he has hired these cyberbullies fanned out on the Internet that are spreading lies about his opponents and attacking their supporters.
Abraham Lincoln had a great quote that no man can govern another without their consent.
*61 does not have our consent because he conspired with the DP to steal the nomination. As we have mentioned many times before, our mission has moved beyond Hillary and *61. It is about the voice of the voters and honesty and integrity in a democratic election.
Pumas, we need to bombard CNN with emails.
Sweet dreams, Karla, it was really fun talking to you…
148 KENDALBLUE
I made a “does not follow” statement. No, my SON-IN-LAW will not become a Democrat. The way I wrote it, Obama was in my last sentence, thus the “he” in the next sentence would refer to Obama. I doubt he, Obama, will become a PUMA, but he is getting desperate.
EWARD: I just love the expression, “he can’t close the deal,” I think the American people really recognize that now and I do hope Hillary will use that phrase or something close to it, in Denver!
Ok…off to bed for this muddled thinking person. My son-in-law will not become a Puma. Truly, I am stopping.
Have Purr-full dreams all, and tell us about the “Obama losing” ones tomorrow night.
“I doubt he, Obama, will become a PUMA, but he is getting desperate.”
LOL! Know that you mention it, I wouldn’t be surprised if he, Obama, did become a PUMA. That’s how whacked I view him as being.
hillstheone @@@@@ yes, I heard that interview. And, I heard Hill say that herself. You know it doesn’t seem to matter what Hill says or does, they still attack her. It absolutley burns me up. She has spent her lifetime helping the less fortunate. Civil rights and so on… It’s just unacceptable for her own damn party to have treated that way. I am working every day so that they will pay for their behavior. NOW I am mad again !!! LOL

What’s your take on the right-to-life issue this campaign, is McCain pro choice & Obama pro life?
Wierd…
nite, sunshinelvr..
It’s been said that one of the reasons they didn’t want Senator Clinton as the nominee is that she would energize Republicans to come out and vote!
Imagine not wanting citizens, no matter their politcal affiliation, to vote?
That’s insane in a democracy, so-called.
Wow! I fell asleep and missed everything. I heard part of Sinclair at Ed’s place and then I lost it.
McCain – Pro-Life
Obama – depends on who’s asking……….
Oh shoot…again!! I am two hours past my promise to go to bed early… I even allowed an extra hour to prepare myslef, and now it is an hour past that bonus hour.
Gotta go, or I will stop believing myself.
Goodnight all. Thanks for all your work, and thanks for all the laughs!

How can people get to know the real Obama when all he shows us is his shallow celebrity side? He refuses to let people get to know him in the context of debates with McCain.
I even sent the DNC and friends an email saying that I’d give him serious consideration if I could hear the two candidates debate the issues side-by-side.
I was schmoozing, of course. The time for serious consideration is past. Frankly, I don’t know if I could stand listening to Obama long enough to sit through a debate. That’s asking a bit much. But I’d try.
Sunshinelovr (if you’re still on), re-your comment,
I’ll let YOU organize the prayer group! ;D
Geez I’d sure hope we’re all adult people on here who respect ea other enough by now to let everyone practice their own faith without feeling a need to tell them how to do it, LOL…
Sunshinlvr, I was gonna post a “Prayer for the Obots” but decided not to – too mean! I couldn’t go there.
Besides, it’s funny enough left alone! The bots praying for us!! I’ll be laughing all the way to bed tonight…
I did hear on some of the re-runs tonight that Pelosi said that Dems should tell their people they are for drilling, etc., even if they aren’t. Who is this woman?
good night Dances.

I would appreciate it.

TOPIC: Pelosi
Gypsy – Pelosi has been one long disapointment since the day she got into her position.
HOWEVER, that said, I do believe one of our important tasks is trying to get Pelosi’s attention.
I think this is important, because once she starts considering the possibility of NO Democrat in the White House in Nov, she will come around into HRC’s camp. And she is kind of a “way in” to Howard Dean.
Did anyone hear all of Glen Beck? That’s when I laid down for awhile. I missed his repeat also.
Gypsy: I didn’t hear Beck. I’m still offended w/the way he talked about Hillary needing to shave her face, or whatever dumb thing he said…
BRB…gotta make an ice cream run. It’s hot here tonight & I’m letting my kids stay up late.
p.s. gypsy: tell me again what Pelosi said about the drilling thing… BRB…

She is so anti-Hillary. The statement was made by several people today to tell their voters about drilling, etc. It looked like someone (news person) was trying to ask her about this, but she ignored them.

I disagree strongly with many of your assertions about McCain.
He is supported by many vets — many organizations across the country have endorsed him. He was given the opportunity to be promoted to Admiral, but turned it down in order to run for the Senate.
As a POW, he endured more suffering than most people are capable of enduring. The North Vietnamese gave him the opportunity to be released early — they wanted to propagandize that the son and grandson of Navy Admirals had received special treatment. McCain refused to be released before the other POWs were released, and thus remained a POW for many more years. He may not have been perfect when he was a POW, but no one is perfect.
Given his years of service to this country, both in the Navy and in the Senate, and his ability to work with Democrats and Republicans, I will proudly vote for McCain if Hillary is not the nominee.
mountainsong ?? u still here ??
Well, I think I heard this on the radio when doing my store rounds – maybe Glen Beck? Then I heard it tonight on Fox – several times, but unfortunately I dozed off and missed everyone!! Wanted to hear Glen Beck. I guess I can read his transcript (maybe tomorrow).
Kendalblue;
I will do that. Thank you very much for the link.
hebrew.que….you are welcome !!

I was at Clarke Air Force Base with former spouse. I was there when the first Viet Nam vets were released. McCain was in the first group along with Alvarez (7 yrs at Hanoi Hilton). I have pictures of them leaving the camp and then arriving in the PI. I have photos of them in hospital, etc.. I get real p.o.’d when anyone talks about any of our vets.
It’s been great chatting with all of you tonight. My dog is whining for me to come to bed. So I will sign off now houston !! take good care everyone…let’s seize the day tomorrow.

Yes, thanks for standing up for McCain. None of us has the right to judge POWs for things they did or didn’t do in captivity and under torture.
I’ve not followed McCain enough to be a fan, and I wasn’t particularly impressed by him during the few debates that I watched. But he’s been growing on me in recent weeks. And I will have no hesitation voting for him to keep Obama out of the White House if Hillary is not our nominee.
Good night KENDALBLUE
hills,
Pelosi has to be in a coma if she is not aware by now of the fact that precious might not make it to the White House, however, I do not think she will come around easily to HRC’s camp- probably until she realizes her seat is in jeopardy.
It may be a long shot, but I hope Cindy will bump her out of her seat.
174 hillstheone
I agree with you about Pelosi, strategy is okay as long as you don’t compromise your principles. I think what everyone is doing is great. Someone’s listening out there…I still think working from the bottom up is just as effective – our state politicians “need” us.
Hey all, I would love to see the first woman president!! And it will happen.
#737 murphy on 08.05.08 at 11:41 pm
just heard from someone who was in touch with big shots at the DNC tonight.
They are in a DITHER about Puma PAC and our letters to delegates today! an absolute DITHER.
Never doubt that we can achieve our goals. We are reaching them every day
Murphy, please post this in the morning for the East Coasters to see……………………….this is the kind of news that get’s us pumped up for action.
Way to go Murphy!
Good night PUMAs. Sweet dreams.
gypsy: re: She is so anti-Hillary.
I don’t know whether Pelosi is super anti-Hillary or not. If anything, I get the feeling Howard is a little more stubborn about Hillary than Pelosi.
Here’s what I do know. I know she’s quasi-tight with Howard Dean, likes feeling powerful, and above all else, is still a Democrat. She dislikes McCain more than Hillary, so she’ll fall in line eventually. And we need her to, so she can get Howard on board too.
BillieJo: Thanks for posting! You posted 2 great items today made my day!! Hey the Obots prayers are working, Bwahhaaaahaaa!!!
We are going to have a fun time in Denver. I hope everyone is making it a priority to be there…!

Yep…well, maybe we should also concentrate more on the Representatives that are in the shadows. They’re going to get tired of being told what to do all the time. Maybe they’ll start pressuring Dean and Pelosi too.
Everything’s all messed up.
HillstheOne & Firebelle Puma
I would love for Hillary to use that phrase but she won’t. As far as the real *61, we have already seen him. “Absolute power corrupts” and he is so full of himself. Another Puma referenced this last night, his first mistake was running for President with so little experience. To me, it shows he places his interests before the real needs of this country.
Our prowls are making a difference because the pundits are puzzled why this race is tied.
I agree with the positive comments about McCain.
199 hillstheone
you’re always so funny!! I think I’m just tired and the media gets me so hyped. I still think that Hillary going out on the campaign for “you know who” is a way to let her supporters see her. Just listen between the lines, I think.
EWard: You know, although I wouldn’t vote for him, I actually do like McCain. He seems like a decent man but I think he somehow ended up in the wrong party, LOL.
I truly appreciate someone who has served the country and was a POW… it’s funny my friends cannot understand how I could like him more than Obama..
#201 EWard
Isn’t it “Absolute power corrupts absolutely”?
And you’re so right. He consistently places his own selfish interests before the needs of our country. We see it in everything he does.
gypsy: Re: “I still think that Hillary going out on the campaign for “you know who” is a way to let her supporters see her. Just listen between the lines, I think.”

What’s not said often speaks a whole lot louder than what is said.
Tried to get on Bill Clinton’s website today (clintonfoundation) & it won’t come up. Wonder why.
I’ll have to try again tomorrow…
Hi Eward – Haven’t met you. I’m in TX and not near any PUMAs at all. I think TexasSherry is my closest.
Did anyone hear about how Bo did in Youngstown, Ohio? I was born in Akron and my brother moved to TX 2 years ago…he has cancer…and we are the last of our immediate family. He thinks Ohio may go Blue, but the people are fed up with their economy there. They’ve lost so many jobs through outsourcing.

Oh, & I _was_ able to get on Bill Clinton’s website after all, think it was a browser problem.
I posted on there he should not give up on seeing Hillary’s name in nomination in Denver, and that we PUMA’s are working tirelessly on her behalf, and I said please tell Bill, “BILL, come and look for us PUMAS in Denver, we’ll be outside in the fenced in area next to the media!”
Well, at least I think we’ll be there. Some of the time!

Not long ago, I asked a friend who lives in Phoenix what he thought of McCain. My friend told me of two instances where McCain’s office cut though a bunch of BS when his son needed assistance.
I don’t remember the details, but if I recall correctly, one situation occurred when Dan’s son was out of the country and having passport problems or something similar that the U.S. embassy there couldn’t help him with. McCain’s office took care of it.
I was impressed. So many times I’ve written to local, state, or federal officials requesting assistance. Most of the time, they don’t give a rat’s you-know-what about helping citizens.
goodnight hillstheone,
I hope i did not offend you by my comment regarding Pelosi, because I do agree with you about her.

Hello 1gypsy4mc – I’m in CA.
HillstheOne & FirebellePuma
I would have no hesitation voting for McCain, if *61 is the nominee. Listening to the commentary on CNN, I’m thinking why are these pundits so out of touch with the American public? It is not a mystery to us why he isn’t connecting to the voters.
I am taking the Platform Survey now. It’s asking if I agree or disagree on each issue. For Universal Healthcare I marked that I agree, but how would it affect Hillary?
#215 EWard
Where in California? I’m near San Jose.
Why isn’t Obama connecting? Let me count the ways.
#216 anonymous on 08.06.08 at 2:58 am
[[For Universal Healthcare I marked that I agree, but how would it affect Hillary?]]
It might help her push her agenda. This is one of the biggest things she’s fighting for and one of the reasons she suspended her campaign versus ending it. It gives her leverage to use against Obama on the issue she cares about most.
For me, the reason I preferred her plan is that she wants health insurance to be mandatory. If Obama doesn’t make it mandatory that everyone have health insurance, he will make it “mandatory” that diligent, responsible citizens continue paying for the freeloaders who can afford it, but would rather spend that money on toys.
( I am a person is wearing jeans and sweatshirt any time and day unless I am at work).
I discovered that BHO is out of touch with regular folks like me because he pretends to be casual person. When he wore jeans one time, the pundits were like–OMG!!! Sen Obama is wearing jeans. I felt that he wore jeans just to show off.
Then when I saw Hillary wearing sweatshirt in one of the interview clips on the plane I started to laugh really hard. I was almost shocked to see that someone in her position would wear a sweatshirt, but she didn’t wear it to show off.
Hillary is aregular person. BHO is pretending to be a regular person. When he talks to you it makes you feel as he is doing you a favor because you’re like his servant. I CAN’T STAND HIM!!!

Hi,
I am not sure how to answer this question.
Fair Election:
The Democratic Party and Senator Obama apologize to the voters of Michigan for supporting a delegate selection plan that allotted pledged delegates to the Democratic National Convention through a method that substituted the judgment of members of the DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee for the judgment of Michigan’s voters.
I agree
I agree
I disagree
I disagree
I had this in an email from a friend~ thought i would post it~ guess you cant see the pics~ but the words are the message that counts i guess~
YES, I’M A BAD AMERICAN
I Am the Liberal-Progressives Worst Nightmare. I am an American.
I am a Master Mason and believe in God.
I ride Harley Davidson Motorcycles and believe in American products.
I believe the money I make belongs to me and my family, not some Liberal governmental functionary be it Democratic or Republican!
I’m in touch with my feelings and I like it that way!
I think owning a gun doesn’t make you a killer, it makes you a smart American.
I think being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does not entitle you to anything. Get over it!
I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, do it in English.
I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where they want to.
My heroes are John Wayne, Babe Ruth, Roy Rogers, and
Willie G Davidson that makes the Awesome Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
I don’t hate the rich. I don’t pity the poor.
I know wrestling is fake and I don’t waste my time watching or arguing about it.
I’ve never owned a slave, or was a slave, I haven’t burned any witches or been persecuted by the Turks and neither have you! So, shut up already.
I believe if you don’t like the way things are here, go back to where you came from and change your own country! This is AMERICA ..
We like it the way it is!
If you were born here and don’t like it you are free to move to any Socialist country that will have you.
I want to know which church is it exactly where the Reverend Jesse Jackson preaches, where he gets his money, and why he is always part of the problem and not the solution.
Can I get an AMEN on that one?
I also think the cops have the right to pull you over if you’re breaking the law, regardless of what color you are.
And, no, I don’t mind having my face shown on my drivers license.
I think it’s good….. And I’m proud that “God” is written on my money.
I think if you are too stupid to know how a ballot works, I don’t want you deciding who should be running the most powerful nation in the world for the next four years.
I believe the president of the United States should put his hand over his heart and say the pledge of allegiance and should have no reservations about wearing American flag pins on his lapel.
I dislike those people standing in the intersections trying to sell me stuff or trying to guilt me into making “donations” to their cause. Get a Job and do your part!
I believe that it doesn’t take a village to raise a child, it takes two parents.
I believe “illegal” is illegal no matter what the lawyers think.
I believe the American flag should be the only one allowed in AMERICA !
If this makes me a BAD American, then yes, I’m a BAD American.
If you are a BAD American too, please forward this to everyone you know.

DON”T TURN YOUR BACK ON OUR TROOPS!!
THEIR SACRIFICE IS OUR FREEDOM!
GOD BLESS YOU!
GOD BLESS US ALL~

I have to admit that I didn’t do the full survey. I only added my name and contact information to the limited petition. I wasn’t sure that a copy of the full survey would go to Hillary. And at the time, I had more pressing things to do than to comment as fully as I would have liked to.
However, I would answer that I agree to the Fair Election item. Basically, if you say that you agree, you’re saying that you don’t think it was right for the RBC to award Obama four delegates that should have gone to Hillary. If you choose to add comments, you might even say that you don’t think it was right to treat all of the uncommitted votes as if they were for Obama, since some of them would have represented Edwards too.
Again, I’m not sure how much people will read the comments. But that’s what I would do if I had taken the time to do it.
#217 FirebellePuma
With so many visitors to this blog, I’m emailing the answer to southwestpuma.
One more thing, another Puma received a real snarky email from Tom DeFranks of the NY Daily News. I believe that he has written books about Cheney and Bush. It reminds me of that same sexist attitude that Hillary faced in the primary race.
i just loved hearing how bozo tryed to pin McCain on the fact he voted for the fat cats in the oil business when in fact it was bozo himself that voted for it and McCain against it!!! [where's my lil laughing hysterical smiley rollin on the floor!] rofl!!!!!!!!!! ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just got a chance to prowl so the SDs have some late night e-mail from a Seattle puma…
BillieJo thanks for relaying that info, it was very heartening and just what I needed!
Last night I was really discouraged after hearing Bill Clinton speak, I can’t believe he’s still having to defend himself against charges he’s a racist… how in the world could anyone consider that man a racist???
My day had started w/ hearing a quick blurb on the radio saying that even NPR contributor Juan Williams was saying people are going to vote against BO because he’s black…. NOOOOOO, BECAUSE HE’S THE LEAST EXPERIENCED AND QUALIFIFIED CANDIDATE EVER TO HAVE MADE IT THIS FAR AND LOTS OF US KNOW THERE ARE BETTER MORE QUALIFIED ALTERNATIVES!!!
The damage being done to the democratic party and to society in general, the disunity that is being created by so carelessly labeling anyone with a differing opinion “racist” seems so unneccessary…
Perhaps w/ another 8 years experience BO would have been a viable candidate (I can’t see it personally but am willing to give anyone the chance to change and grow), but to force him through at this point is creating a debacle for the entire country at this point, not just the dems…
And so I was trying to figure out whhyyyy the Dean Co. would strong arm this candidate on us… And even when BO loses in Nov. does that still leave him in charge of the DNC???? Scary thought and I’ll work tirelessly to counter it.
We’ve got long term work to do to make the democratic party democratic again if that is the case…
Anyway… BillieJo’s post was just what I needed to read!!! Prowl on!
#223 EWard
I understand your concern. I’ve had my own hesitations about how much personal information I post.

Obama is blackhearted. I don’t care about the color of his skin.
#227 Firebelle Puma
Yes he is. And I’m from a mixed race (white/AA) family so I not only don’t care about the color of his skin but at this point the ONLY reason I could see voting for him is that he’s black (the ONE thing about him I like) and that’s just not enough reason… he’ll never get a vote from me because he hasn’t earned it.
Heidi Li’s site (founder of the Denver Group) had an interesting post about O’s calling himself an “imperfect vessel in the movement for change”…
She pointed out it’s referencing a line from Shakespeare’s Henry V (referencing Plato)…
“I did never know so full a voice issue from so empty a heart; but the saying is true “the empty vessel makes the greatest sound”.”
So I’d add that he’s a black-hearted, empty-hearted (headed?) vessel w/ a lot of hot air making an awful racket… someone put that kettle back on the back burner, it’s running dry!!
#228 nernina
Good point about the empty vessel making the greatest sound.
I’ll take it even further and say that an empty vessel can often be as dangerous as, if not more so than, a full one.
I’ve seen it in the fire service, for example, where firefighters have been killed or injured responding to emergencies involving “empty” tanks. “Empty” is not the same as “cleaned and purged.” A empty tank can still have enough toxic or flammable vapors to be deadly.
Obama is every bit as dangerous as an “empty” tank still filled enough toxic and flammable vapors to poison his followers and incite a deadly explosion across our country.
And on that note, I’m off to join the teddy bears in bed.
MO is in Norfolk, VA tomorrow speaking to military souses.
oooppppsss. I ment spouses.
morning everyone

That’s not exactly true. Neither conventions or primaries are in our Constitution. And that is why, everytime a lawsuit was brought against the DNC or Obama the Federal Justice system either wouldn’t hear the case of ruled against it, saying any organization has the right to make its own rules and bylaws.

I adore Hillary, hold her in the highest regard, have known her for more than
20 years.
And she says:
I have.
Will you?
We really *need* you, for all the reasons Hillary could elaborate on much
better than I.
Thanks!
Andy
oh, I dont know why this did not copy but this was Hillary’s quote he added in
When you hear people saying — or think to yourself — “if only” or “what if,” I say, “please don’t go there.” Every moment wasted looking back keeps us from moving forward. Life is too short, time is too precious, and the stakes are too high to dwell on what might have been. We have to work together for what still can be. And that is why I will work my heart out to make sure that Senator Obama is our next President and I hope and pray that all of you will join me in that effort. >>
#243 prplvette85, that is the same message that I received from Andy!!!
It said I had already taken it also.
#244. I got that email also. I emailed him back that I would never unite and fall in line. I told him Obama was not vetted and we know nothing about him. And the little we do know worries me.
Quoted from,
The Case Against BARACK OBAMA
by David Freddoso
pages 40-41
“As the debating, cajoling, and negociating over the last undecided caucus-goers winds down, the realignment process in the 9th Precinct tells the whole story of the 2008 Iowa caucuses. After the first ballot, Clinton has a huge lead with 52 votes, followed by Edwards with 43 and obama with 39. But of the 31 minor-candidate supporters to realign, only 3 of them go into Clinton’s section, just in front of the stage. Edwards gets 12 of them, while Obama gains 15 in the second round.
And then elle Jacobs—a twenty-year-old first time voter and the last person in the room to decide—goes over to Edwards instead of staying with her parents in a neutral corner. She tells a reporter in the room why she made her decision: I just don’t like Hillary.
The bottom line: Clinton is nobody’s second choice—her negatives, are just too high. If you weren’t for her at the beginning of the night, you weren’t going to support her at all.
Because of one young woman’s decision, John Edwards carries this precinct by a single vote over Hillary, 56 to 55. Obama finishes with 54 votes. It’s as close a finish as you can possibly get.
Edwards gets 7 county delegates from the precinct, while Clinton and Obama get 6 eachh. The single delegate, while it does not change the statewide result, does mean Clinton’s final total of county delegates will not be rounded up to 30 percent (a virtual tie for the second place with Edawards) but instead is rounded down to 29 percent—firmly in third place.
Elle Jacobs has killed Hillary Clinton in Iowa.”

My reply to a disgruntled superdelegate who asked me not to send her any more ‘spam’ that it was becoming very annoying! She followed up by sending me a copy of a new york times article.
Heneri
Dear Ms. Huguenin:
I have a very valid reason for wanting Hillary’s name in nomination. First of all, she is the most competent person, of either party who ran for president in this primary season.
Second, I have never voted a republican vote for president in my life. I cast my first vote in 1972 when I was a college freshman. I have worked in numerous local Democratic campaigns, have volunteered for Hillary, and Bill, have made thousands of phone calls, carried fliers door to door, and other campaign activities for Democratic candidates for years. I am not just some disgruntled woman who has not been involved. In short, I am a dedicated rank and file voter.
Third, I believe Obama is a very crooked politician. I believe he lacks wisdom and experience. I believe he has manipulated and broken many party rules. The only thing the man is good at is campaigning. His vote on FISA would have turned me against him if nothing else did. I cringe at the thought that he would be president. I pray that we don’t have to find out what kind of job he would do.
Fourth, the party committed many irregularities in this primary season, all of them favoring Obama. The super delegates, by rights, should not have declared for or endorsed a candidate until the convention. Their doing so prior to the convention is illegal according to the way I interpret the party rules.
If Hillary is not the nominee, I cannot in good conscience, cast a vote for Obama. I am sickened that I would be forced, by my party’s illegal actions and choice of an unqualified and less than honest candidate, to vote for John McCain. I am fighting for my right to cast a vote for the rightful winner of this contest, and the most competent candidate that ran for President this primary season.
I cannot see how the placing of Hillary’s name in nomination can possibly embarrass her or be otherwise demeaning to her. The fact that thousands, yes even millions, of her supporters have worked day and night to try to force her name into nomination should be viewed as an enormous honor.
If her name is not in nomination, I will be forced to vote for John McCain. You and others like you will leave me no other choice. I know Mr. McCain is competent, though I disagree with him often. I do think he is a reasonable man, and as you say, Hillary will be in the Senate where she can guide things along. McCain and Hillary have always worked well together. I think that combination would work for our country in lieu of having her in the Presidency.
As I said, this is YOUR choice. Either you and your colleagues find a way to place Senator Clinton at the top of the Democratic ticket as the nominee, or I will vote for Senator McCain. I have two daughters, a husband, my father (a WWII veteran), 8 siblings (and spouses), and numerous friends who have made the same decision, lifelong Democrats, all. This is not a trivial thing to any of us. For once, our country matters more than all the party unity you folks can conjure up.
If you really want to heal our great land, you will make every effort to convince Senator Clinton to sign the petition and have her name entered in the nomination. Tell her that her people are begging not to be forced to vote for someone in the other party.
Respectfully,
my name
PS:
Sending me something from the New York Times does not convince me of anything. I had already read that piece, and commented on it. The Times does not make my decision. My vote belongs to me.
Thanks , Murphy , you’re still my hero

Hillary Clinton supporters will march through Denver during the Democratic National Convention to show appreciation for the New York senator’s historic primary run and urge the party to place her name in nomination.
The city issued a permit Tuesday to Colorado Women Count/Women Vote for a parade on Aug. 26 — the 88th anniversary of women’s suffrage and the date Clinton is rumored to be speaking at the DNC.
The group also will team with 18 Million Voices, a national organization of Clinton supporters, for a rally in a yet-to-be-determined Denver park.
“We just want to celebrate Hillary’s accomplishments and what she’s done for the country as a whole and women in particular,” said Katherine Vincent, 55, of Louisville, who is organizing the parade and rally.
Vincent is among those passionate followers who believe Clinton’s delegates have a right to vote for her at the convention.
“That’s why they were selected,” she said. “We think it would actually bring the party together.”
Nationwide, Clinton’s staunchest supporters refer to themselves as “PUMAs,” short for “Party Unity My A–.”
They are raising money to pay for buses to Denver, and setting up a headquarters at The Broker restaurant downtown, where people can “check-in” when they arrive in town.
But the efforts to put Clinton’s name to a vote may be meaningless.
Clinton, who conceded to Sen. Barack Obama in June, must submit a request in writing to be nominated at the convention. According to published reports, Clinton has decided against doing so and has been urging her delegates to cast votes for Obama.
Meanwhile, the Obama campaign announced Clinton will campaign for the Illinois senator later this month in Nevada and Florida.
Jenny Backus, a senior adviser to the Obama campaign, said Clinton is working closely with the Obama camp, and will continue to be “a tremendous asset.”
“Senator Clinton is going to play a critical role in the convention,” Backus said.
Clinton is scheduled to speak at an Emily’s List gala at the Sheraton Denver Hotel at 2 p.m. on Aug. 26. She will join Michelle Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi at the event, a celebration of women’s suffrage.
Vincent is hopeful Clinton’s schedule that day also will include a stop by the rally — which she says will not include any messages that are anti-Obama or pro-John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee.
“We’re keeping it positive,” she said. “It’s a way of saying ‘Thank you Hillary, we appreciate what you’ve done.’”
It occurs to me that if Obama is not elected this time, he will never be given the opportunity to run again. If he is defeated at the convention, he will run again. I NEVER want this crooked manipulating jester as president. Four more years (or even eight) would not qualify him to sit in the oval office.

Good morning Murphy and everyone else,
Re: #252 murphy
I have to agree with you on this one.
I attempted to take the Virtual Survey and it told me I already had. I had not. Just so you know. Anything I can do about it?
Goo morning PUMAs, haven’t read the blog yet but
I am flabbergasted at the presumtuosness of Oblabla!
Have you seen this?
How dare he/them assume that we and Hillary need their prayers to help us see the right way and the right candidate!
UGGGHHHHH! they disgust me.

261 janelb1950, same problem here. Is there another link so I can take it
The Virtual Survey said I already took the survey but I never did. I see #261 janelb1950 had the same response.
Murphy, Thanks for this link:
Joe Cannon (whom everyone should read at least twice a day) is awesome.

This guy throws cold water on the Birth Certificate conspiracy theory. I’ve always felt this issue is a giant HEAD FAKE. The BO campaign would love to get everyone in a frenzy over this. Then, at just the right moment, they’ll produce the authentic BC. It will make all LEGITIMATE criticisms seem petty and fabricated.
Let’s not get sucked in.

Maybe, however, that does not change the fact that the one posted was altered – and that is AGAINST THE LAW.
At least for the rest of us it is!

Good Morning Puma’s
It is going to be a good day today, I feel it. I was very busy writing the SD’s yesterday. I have now included a line in my letter to the SD’s that states and offers the link to Hillary’s interview stating she would like her name in nomination.
So that will hopefully put to rest the responses from SD’s that say Hillary would be embarrassed by being placed in nomination.
I going to be sending out another round of letters later this week and then again early next week – using the lobby delegate site and using every state and every box
poppy you here?
we have new member poppy trying to get here.
Hi everyone, to take the survey go to noquarterusa.net and on the top right side of the page is a link-it is important to fill the survey out-the DNC needs to hear from us about what we want on the platform. You may not agree with everything on the survey and that is okay -just say so. These surveys will be going to the platform committee. take care mpkrodham
thanks mpk
don’t know if this is already been posted. Is there a way to link to that survey direct? someone posted to the link after they took it…that’s why it was saying everyone already took it. I made that mistake, took it and then wanted to link it here after. Need to get direct link from OwnMyVote.
Anyhow…day late on the prowl from yesterday…but it’s done. some days I just don’t see my ‘puter
whoops….sorry mpk….still running a day late….repeat…repeat…
have a great day PUMAs
Good Morning Pumas,
I can’t get into the survey at the top. Once I click on Continue it says I have already taken the survey and it won’t let me continue. I have not taken the survey.
Help!
utahpuma-take a look at post #270
#270 mpk , thnaks that worked. The survey http://noquarterusa.net/blog/
No Poppy on the radar as of yet. I hope s’he knows that in order to blog you must first click on “Register” in the right sidebar under “Meta” and then enter a username, wait for a temporary password in your email (should arrive within a minute or two — check your junk/spam folder if you don’t see it in your inbox right away). Then login for the first time using the temp password.
The first thing new users should do is CHANGE their temp password to a permanent one of their own that they can easily remember. You can do that by logging in and clicking on your username. It will take you to a Profile page where you can change your password.
The temp passwords really are temporary — they expire and then you are locked out.

Unreal!! I got on O’s website with your link. This is beyond unreal; THIS IS SICK. Praying for us in a prayer meeting, and where will this prayer meeting be held? Rev. Wright’s church? This is the kind of presidency O is going to muddy our country with. That campaign is so presumptuous. Do they really think that O will get 100% of the vote? That has never happened EVER!!
God gave us the power to think and choose. A basic principle of my religion. And I chose to say no to Obama and his garbage!! He’s following Bush in this way. Bush allows his personal religious beliefs to affect his presidency. O has got to get on National TV and address the country regarding how Black Liberation Theology will affect his presidency. If JFK had to address the nation with his religion which today represents 30,000,000 Catholics in the US, and Romney had to address Mormonism, why is this nutcase Obama getting by with this?
TrishfromCanada
You’ve got mail
from Rasmussen today
The bottom line is that Obama’s lead has declined from the 5-6 point range for the first five weeks and has fallen to the 1-3 point range for the past four weeks.
Good morning PUMAs
Just snuck in to see how everyone’s doing. Guess I missed alot yesterday. Have to go to work real soon.
Any action within the convention which involves a vote for Hillary will be strictly symbolic. Is that good enough?
NO. Is that better than what originally was to have happened. NO Should the symbolic vote and/or a public request at the convention by Hillary for her delegates to vote unanimously for Obama influence anyone here regarding the rejection of Obama by Democrats throughout this country? NO
The only “gesture” and final action that will position the Democratic Party to be reconfigured to include all of its traditional base is A TOTAL DEFEAT OF OBAMA ON ELECTION DAY. To that end, I pledge all of my energy.
NO BAMA NOT NOW NOT LATER (and it keeps getting later and later) NEVER NOT EVER.
Mother Theresa and Joan of Arc (one of my favorite women) could ask me to vote for Obama and I would give them a hug and tell them: No.
Murphy . . . you missed a golden opportunity. heading should have been “sorry Sweetie”. Have more coffee.

Regarding you comments about the Vietnam War. I don’t know what McCain did or didn’t do , and I don’t care. War is a terrible thing no matter who is fighting or where. I had a close friend who survived the Hanoi Hilton only to come home and hang himself. Wars solve NOTHING. If we hadn’t played our little games with Iran back in the 1950′s we would be able to talk to them today . . . and have them believe us. Just think, if we spent the money on schools, hospitals, encouraging local business than we spend on planes, guns, ammunition; we would be loved everywhere. Oh, but then, Boeing, General Electric, Raytheon, Blackwater, et al, might have to produce more consumer items and lose those Federal welfare checks. Our system is so corrupted I sometimes despair of it ever being corrected.
Good morning all – i tried to do the survey – it said i completed it already ???? any suggestions
go to http://www.noquarterusa.net to take the survey-link on top right of page
mpdamon — refresh the screen.
and thanks!

I didn’t reply yesterday because I didn’t go through all the posts.
Funny thing though, this same information was sent to my friend from a BO supporter and it is propaganda!!
McCain hides nothing about being a POW. What would you have done if you hung from a post with your arms tied together and also beaten? He lived in an 8×6 piece of crap. The POWs got fed slop. Did you ever have a uniform on?
I fell 2 yrs ago and crushed my shoulder, I had a prosthesis put in. Let me tell you – he went through a lot more than you’ll know. I still have nerves that haven’t healed and I’ll always have the pain. I know some of what McCain goes through. Don’t even go down that road.
This site is supposed to be about Hillary first. It is also suppose to be anti-Obama. I try not to inject my personal campaign choice, but I will speak out about democracy.
No one wants war. But isn’t it strange that so many young patriots feel it is their duty to serve our country the only way they know how. They are in the military to protect our homeland. You are so naive.
I apologize to all the PUMAs for my outburst.
Good morning… please pass the cream.

Here was my response to them…could hardly control my anger….
How dare you/him assume that we and Hillary need your prayers to help us see the right way and the right candidate!
Don’t do me any favors, you obnoxious, self-righteous, sanctimonious kool-aid drinking morons! About 18 million of us don’t agree that yours is the right way or the right candidate so DON’T pray for us….pray for yourselves, you’re gonna need it!
UGGGHHHHH! you disgust me.
On a previous thread, Murphy’s heading was:
WE ARE THE ONES YOU WEREN’T EXPECTING!
I can’t get this out of my head. Can we use this on buttons, bumper stickers etc. Maybe with the “OVER” logo?
This simple phrase mocks BO’s grandiosity, and simultaneously sticks it to the DNC.

very interesting info on that site especially the one about Obamas birth certificate – i am sure this will not even make the everyday news …..
#278FlowerChild2: I just want to that prayer meeting website, put my name, first name..New Orleans;
Last name: Puma: put my zip code: put my gmail Puma email: created a pass word that doesn’t exist. and left the following comment:
I am praying alright. I have put Obama at the top of my “Holy Spirit Hit List” and have prayed every day that the Spirit of Truth continue to reveal what a fraud Obama is.
The form also asks if you are going to attend. I put in No. It accepted my “application”. Well guess what the great joy for me really was? Guess when the prayer meet.ing will be? AUGUST 29, 2008….THE THIRD ANNIVERSARY OF KATRINA. What a pleasure for me to be able to be able to decline this Marxist Church’s invitation to a prayer meeting on that miraculous date of Survival for my beloved City. My own little message back from “the Holy Spirit”, perhaps? I’ll take that as an affirmative. You all may have figured out this is one persistant Catholic!
289 ABinNY: How did you get the message to them? Did you have to sign up on his website? I can get on Delegate Watch and send an e-mail directly to Obama. Do you think I should do that? How dare he push his religion on any of us. I am not a religious fanatic. I am so opposed to what Bush has done, and this guy is going to come along and do the same and worse??? What’s the best way to get a response.
I am going to send that link to Hannity with a protest. Obama has got to get up on National TV and address his religion. How I wish he would come to the Treasure Coast of FL. I will protest him if I am the only PUMA in the area.
Yesterday, I got on the TC Palm newspaper and posted for PUMA. I got a response from a Republican who respects Senator Clinton. The other Obama nitwits were as nasty as always. What a sick group of people.

MPDamon — don’t despair!
The endtimes of hyper-capitalism means that we are all starting to wake up. There is not really any more joy left in consumerism. Citizens in Ohio, California, and Vermont are beginning to think hard about their futures, their roots, and their children. The fear of running out of oil has regular people really scared. The fear of a massive economic depression and infrastructure collapse is not paranoia and regular people KNOW it. Books on how to build windmills in your backyard are being published every day. Farmers markets, backyard vegetable gardens and chicken coops are being built. Use of mass transit has jumped and Americans are setting up makeshift economies of bartering and non-profit sharing everywhere (philly car share, parent co-ops, food co-ops).
People all across America are realizing for the first time since the 1970′s that there really IS a difference between choosing a President and picking your favorite American Idol. That clicking noise you hear is the sound of millions of televisions all around the USA being turned off.
The msm has become such a complete parody of a news source that by now NO ONE believes or trusts it.
We, the early adopters of internet connectivity and citizen political action using 21st century tools are a NEW WAVE in participatory democracy. It is babyboomers like you who are still leading the way.
I firmly believe that we are headed into very turbulent times. But I know I’m not the only one — all of us here know that something big is happening. None of us can go back to our regular lives of hoping for a better future and blandly planning the next trip to Disney World or Wal Mart for new backyard patio furniture.
Don’t despair. We need each other.
New Orleans PUMA. I am also a Catholic. We take a lot of heat….but I remain faithful. That nutcase priest in Chicago. I spent the morning tracking down Cardinal George and posted his fax and phone on Gretawire. Got lots of responses and I personally faxed the Cardinal a letter. I also found out that Phelger or however you spell his name did not voluntarily step down from O’s religious board, Cardinal George told him to. Catholics were posting they were e-mail our Pope.
I’ll follow your directions. What do you think about getting on Delegate Watch and sending an e-mail directly to that nutcase Barack Obama?

Yes as much as I didn’t want to sign up on that site, I had to have my say. I put in in the sign up for the prayer meeting, where I said I would NOT be attending.

Is he still on the bus? Where is he headed do we know?
Hello everyone,
I don’t write in that much anymore, but I read the blog often. I still believe that it is important that we voice our concerns. I think people hear us (and read us).
Saw Garry Mauro (Hillary’s TX campaign manager, I believe) on Fox. The reporter interviewing him had a sarcastic tone when he spoke to him, but Garry stuck to his guns and said he was going to Denver to vote for Hillary and kept pushing for a roll call vote. I hate the way supposed news people can get away with editorializing without actually saying what they are implying with their tone or facial expressions. On the plus side, at least Fox had Garry Mauro on.
Finally, I was reading Muhammad Yanus’s book, Creating a World Without Poverty: Social Business and the Future of Capitalism, and noticed a nice photo of Sen. Clinton with the author. The photo’s caption reads: “With Senator Hillary Clinton, who has been a supporter of Grameen Bank and microcredit since her days as the First Lady of the state of Arkansas.” I don’t think this is a veiled endorsement by Mr.Yanus of HC…or is it??? Just kidding. In any case, M. Yanus has very interesting ideas about how the business community can help eradicate poverty. You can listen to one of his lectures for free on iTunes if you’d like to know more.
O.K., have a good day. Have to get to work, Lara08
308 dwp you got it for sure

#305 murphy
Murphy I’m not sure if the person who sent the e-mail info to you about the DNC evicting Hillary supporters is correct. I e-mailed the DNC last night about not being able to add comments to their blog and I received an e-mail telling me the comments section was down but their IT were working on it. And that they would leave the comments section open once it was fixed so we could add our comments.
I do believe he was writing the truth as there were 0 comments last night and if it was just the Hillary supporters that could not comment, I would think there would have been Bo supporters making comments seeing some of the topics were about McCain.
SunnyPA, survey completed.
SunnyPA – saw you in the video yesterday.
Loved it. DENVER!
Have you noticed that Colmes has the attitude ” i give up I can’t defend him any more” he tries to but his heart is just not in it.

I hate the way supposed news people can get away with editorializing without actually saying what they are implying with their tone or facial expressions.”
That reporter was over the top… as many are.
Maura repeatedly informed the news celebrity that the roll call vote is traditional, since the mid-1800s.

Hi Maria,
Welcome! It is so good to know you are still fighting the fight with us! We have been in this from the beginning together, on the HRC site. We all are indeed, family and do need to stick toghether. Murphy is right, we need each other.
Murphy, your posts and graphics every day are wonderful. Dances, did I tell you I loved your poster? I wish I had y’all’s creativity!
By the way, today’s Over puts that Johnny Mathis song in my mind,
too much too little too late to ever try again . . . too much too little too late, we knew it had to end, it’s over, oh yeah, it’s over . . .
I’m surprised that Obama, with his poll numbers diving, and supporters abandoning him, that he would take a vacation at this time. Unless, unless, he’s going to Hawaii to reinvent himself… again. Shapeshifter.
This is out of topic for our blog but its IMPORTANT. If you’re doing your banking ONLINE, please be VERY CAREFUL, hackers are diverting some websites to their own. Website of Denver Group was diverted to a fake site or HACK SITE.

did you go to the survey via the link on NoQuarter… that seems to work for the folks who are being told they’ve already taken the survey.
Hi and good morning.
ABinNY and NewOrleansPuma: I went on O’s site, and signed up with Florida PUMA, then put an e-mail address I never use on my aol account. It took it. This is what I wrote.
I have never seen a sicker display of a use of prayer in my life. Do you religious fanatics think that God is going to answer this? Do you think he is going to listen? Do you think GOD himself along with Jesus and the 12 apostles have endorsed Obama? You people better review Separation of Church and State, and Lincoln’s response when asked if he thought God was on our side during the Civil War. His response, “we need to hope that we are on God’s side”. God gave us the power to think and choose? A basic teaching of my faith; I am a Catholic. You want to pray for something, pray that we achieve world peace, the end of poverty and suffering, and pray that our leaders make the right choices according to the Constitution of the US. Senator Obama needs to address the people of this country and explain how his Black Liberation Theology will affect his presidency. He likens himself to JFK, and JFK had to address the nation regarding his religion; Romney did this as well with his religion Mormonism. Tag Obama, your it – - Black Liberation Theology. He is the last person who needs to lead this country regarding religion after sitting in that racist church for 20 years. If he was raised with any real grounding in faith, he would not have joined and remained in such a church. Step down Obama and let the real nominee take over, Hillary Clinton. You are giving me a migraine.
the paw print over the “hope” logo is great. I also love
“we are not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee” – as opposed to affiliated. The rebellious spirit is so the true spirit of our wonderful nation. PUMAs would make Patrick Henry and John Adams and Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin proud.

I never visited the site of NONAME/NOBAMA, not even once. What prayer Wright and Pfleger gonna do this time? I consider this prayer crap they’re offering for Hillary supporters downright EVIL. They’ll pray for us at the same time calling us racist, ignorant, uneducated, whore, puta etc etc? How does it fly to God almighty EVIL PEOPLE using his name?
I remember a long time ago when I was in a college, a jesuit priest said to me, ” when people call you names then turn around and say they’re praying for you, they have a different God.”
NOBAMA personifies what is EVIL about humans.
Have you seen this?

#299 murphy ~~~Gee whiz, Murphy!!!! That sounded EXACTLY like something I might have read back in the early 70′s. We were, indeed, moving to the country, getting rid of TV’s, learning all about organic gardening and log home construction, inter-community networking. And we all knew something BIG was in the works—like the end of life as we know it.
Then ‘the government’ stepped in and we learned a new meaning of the word—survival. Some people cut their hair, got straight jobs and mourned the passing of the wonderful times of flower power. But some did not. Some refused to bow and clung to very same values being expressed here within THIS community, not so much a revolution coming full circle, but an ever spiraling upward movement toward peace, love, trust, and all the things that make life a precious, wonderful gift. I have to thank you, and all the others who have worked so hard to revive this spirit of hope for a better way.
I copied and pasted your “Over” to Word and printed it out on photo paper. Makes a wonderful addition to my rear window. Have to get it taped in there before I head to St Paul this morning. Every little bit matters. Thank you for all you do!

JenniforHillary – I saw that today – those that sent letters to them asking to include Hillary, myself included, must have worked – when Rasmussen made their comments that they would no longer include Hillary in their polls because the Annointed One had won the Democratic nomination – I sent an email correcting that statement and got not so nice of a response back from Mr. Scott Rasmussen himself – seems he has had a little change of heart LOL
I haven’t read everything here yet but I wanted to send along something from Clintondems:
ClintonDems.com
ACTION ALERT
Dear Clinton Dem,
As you may be aware, John McCain has slipped ahead of Barack Obama in a few key polls. It is very unusual for this to be the case at this stage of a presidential campaign, and much more unusual in a year when it appeared all factors played into the hands of Democrats. A “generic” Democrat performs much better against McCain than Obama himself does.
Since we would like very much for the delegates to get a chance to see what a nomination for Hillary Clinton could bring to the party, we ask that you contact each of the polling organizations below and ask them to include Hillary Clinton’s name in their polling data.
Dear Pollster X,
In light of Barack Obama’s lagging performance in the polls against John McCain, and the fact that nearly 60% of Americans want a Democrat for president, I ask you to please place Hillary Clinton’s name in your presidential polls from now until at least the convention.
There is currently no certified nominee. It is not too late for the party to re-evaluate (or validate) their choice with a viable comparision. Maybe it is time for the pulse of the American people to be taken again?
Hillary was ahead when the last polls like this were done soon after she suspended her campaign.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.

#361DanceswithPumas: Absolutely correct. This tactic is also another example of the Saul Alinsky model of Rules for Radicals, which is based entirely on Machiavellian principles and no ethical boundries.
Mobamba has said that his time in Chicago working with the Alinsky practices was an education better than anything he had received in his undergraduate or Law study days. His entire campaign as I indicated several days ago is a template of the use of this method.
Ridicule is very important to the underbelly of this spiritually void, dangerous, manipulation of people and the culture. Dante would have had a special circle for their practioners in his Inferno. He probably does, under the aegis of whatever version that would have taken in his time. Can;t remeber now what circle that would have been and I don’t have time or interest now to pursue that as we are fighting the real time version of that ilk NOW.
20 years in that church is one thing….but he also spent them with Michelle. That she is full of hatred for whites is pretty well established and I believe the Republicans will milk that for all they can get after the conventions are over. For all his talk about ‘issues’ he keeps his finger on the race trigger. Why else would his supporters constantly be campaigning to register more black voters and not just more people, period?
In that he has aligned himself with the black community he should not expect others to disavow their own ‘race’. I believe he is stalling in the polls and has no idea just how many he has turned off over this. There is and has always been a huge ‘silent majority’ in this country. I think he is going to meet them on election day. I personally believe we are all brothers and sisters. That there is a little bit of bad in the best of us and a little bit of good in the worst of us. But if there is a sin it is to attempt to turn one brother against another and inflame animosity between them, which he has done.
Need to run errands – be back later to see what you Pumas have uncovered today -

PUMAs make news in Denver!
http://edgeoforever.wordpress.com/2008/08/06/pumas-make-denver-news/
This was a comment left on an AOL blog–does more damage than any ad:
Hello everyone,
As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to ‘The War Zone’. I wanted to share with you what happened. He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.
As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn’t say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the Clam Shell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service.
So really he was just here to make a showing for the American’s back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.
I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheer leaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the President of the United States. I just don’t understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.
If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.
In service,

Stuck in no man’s land, no longer able to stand before adoring crowds of African-Americans who would welcome him as the “nation’s first black president” with thunderous applause and all kinds of pats on the back, he clearly is having issues dealing with the new world order.

All the media hype and (the frequency of his ads) is hurting obama. People are sick of seeing/hearing about him, there’s no way anyone wants four years of media hype.
Good Morning Fellow PUMA’s,
As I was walking home yesterday for some reason I was reminded of a story I heard a long time ago from Paul Harvey. It was about a person who was out walking and found a $5.00 bill on the ground and how from that day forward they spent the rest of their life looking down in the hopes to find more money. In doing this they missed all the beauty the world had to offer. They did not see the rainbows, the changing of the seasons, the family playing together or the smile someone offered them. When I think of Obama supporters I remember the story and realize that they are missing seeing the opportunities, the hope and the leadership that Hillary Clinton offers us. They are so fixated on Obama they walk with their heads down looking for their riches but missing their fortunes. I hope they soon lift their heads and see what is offered out side the glow of the aurora that the MSM and others have put around him. Look up everyone, look up.
I did the survey from the ling own my own vote from above it went through great

As you all know I’ve been trying to get some cross site posting and visitation througout the coalition. I also visit HillaryClintonForum.net in their Main Room for news because many folks from around the coalition post what they find there. Then we all post links across the universe to get people visiting everywhere.
Anywho, I also visit some conservative blog to get information and talking points. Two such blogs I visit daily when I can is RedState.com and TheNextRight.com
Today on RedState they posted a link to a poll that I think you will all enjoy voting in lol

#287 1gypsy4mc~~~Naive? Well, like other things, everyone has an opinion. I could argue with you, but I think that since discretion is the better part of valor, which you prolly know little about, I will simply choose to ignore you, other than to pray for you.
Just a thought on an individual prowl — to call Beth Chapman, Secretary of State in Alabama to charge ALL involved in the voter fraud in the state. She stated that one candidate’s group had totally taken over the polls at at least one location. Asking her to file charges from the gophers at the bottom all the way to the top (*61 and Axelrod)who gave the orders and training on how to take over the caucases, etc. Maybe some of those charged with fraud as a felony will “roll over” on *61 and associates in exchange for leniency!

America went to great lengths to restore Japan and Germany after the war. They have done so with Iraq and will with Afganistan and Iran. There is a collective shame and guilt over what was done to ‘the people’ in the name of ‘Manifest Destiny’, but we have come to know there will be no apology or restoration. I, for one, have had dreams and visions, but still cannot state what the final outcome will be with any certainty. But,in the words of chief Joseph, ” I will fight no more, forever.”

Do we have any estimates on how many PUMAs may be in Denver at the convention? 1000, 2, 3????
I just want to add my 2 cents on voting third party.
I know that everyone here owns their vote and I respect everyone’s choice.
However, in my opinion – there are ONLY 2 candidates capable of winning in November. A vote for 3rd party or a stay home will be a vote for *61. The only way to ensure that *61 does not become POTUS is to vote for MCCAIN. Get drunk if you have to, hold your nose and curse all the way home if necessary BUT – remember that this is for the greater good. NOBAMA in Nov and Hillary in 12.
Thank you for letting me share!
I voted “other” in the poll. Any new or Spanish flyers ?
I don’t know if any of you have read the comment of John Voight (father of Angelina Jolie) in Washington Post about NOBAMA; it was an eye opener. He was right on target; young people are easily blinded by rhetoric due to IDEALISM. When you’re young, you would think you can change everything by mere words without action to verify the said words. I was once an idealist, I really thought I can change the world overnight and make it a better place, everyone living in harmony. I was seduced by WORDS, I was totally besotted, I was saying to myself; “this is the man I want to lead my country and change our lives for the better.” The man was VERY ARTICULATE, he talks just like NOBAMA. The first year of his administration, everything was fine and dandy, after that, things went downhill. His first order was EVERY citizen must surrender their guns because it was the cause of violence; 90% of gun owners immediately surrender their guns, it was a buy back program. He was treated like a MESSIAH; schools, bridges, buildings, streets was named after him all over the country. Every radio, TV commentators were in TOTAL support for this man; anyone who say anything against him received all kinds of threat from the people and harassment including physical harm.
Sadly, I am seeing the same thing in this country with NOBAMA. I hope the people are smart enough to see through him. I hope our young people will OPEN their EYES and see him for what he is; they’ll pay a high prize if they continue to be blinded by their idealism. I’m a survivor, but scarred emotionally for life; it was HORRIBLE, TRAGIC in every conceivable way. I never have a normal teenage life, my teen years was spent ducking bullets and praying the nightmare will end. It was a HARD LESSON I’ve learned about IDEALISM and costly.

Re: The Survey – Technical explanation
Just to explain that Murphy is not going nuts about the link to the survey. Here is why it shows that you have already complated it even when you didn’t.
When you connect to the survey a unique identifier is created and that then becomes part of the address. The address Murphy posted would have been the unique address created for her. The program they are using recognizes by the code it assigned her in the website address that she has already taken it. Hence, whenever we click that it says nope sorry but you already did this.
That’s why the noquarter works, consider it a virgin link and just watch when you hit it, it will give you a set a numbers up in your address bar at the very end of the address. Take the survey again through noquarter and you get a new set.
Very nice that they did this.
In your opinion would be WHAT Mountainsong
Hey all! Tried doing the survey but just like the others, it said after I clicked it, ” you have already done this survey”. ??? Hmmm. Strange because I dont remember doing that survey.

Senator Clinton should be nominated for President by the Democratic Party. Does anyone agree?
Hello Everyone- I’ve tried to read the blog a bit when I get a chance to catch up on all of you. I’m still way out of town, but I did manage to accomplish one of the letter prowls.
Zee–hats off to you for spreading the “love” the other day.
Murphy–I’m really psyched about the documentary. Saw the snippet on line, and it is incredible–very powerful. Who would have guessed that this coalition and the people of all the PUMAs could really have the DNC biting their nails? Yes, we must remain focused. As the days pass, Mr. O. only gets more unbalanced on his pedestal.
1Gypsy I agree with you as well -

[[ You are right cosmeta it isn’t against the Constitution, but it is against “We the People” the ones that will NOT put up with their unfair rules and bylaws!!! ]]
You got that right. I didn’t like what was done to Al Gore in 2000 and I don’t like what was done this primary season either. Our representatives NEED to respect our voices. That’s fer sure. So to me, it’s not a republican or democrat thing but, as you say, a WE THE PEOPLE thing.
Yeppers!!!
to take the survey go to http://www.noquarterusa.net
1Gypsy – afraid I have to agree with you as well as some of the others here – my father was killed in Vietnam so anytime I see anyone say anything negative about anyone over there – my puma fur gets ruffled – first time for me to post in about a week because of the same type of comments before – now back to my own little den – had to say something for the Vets
Don’t leave us again Rodham – really enjoyed all your helpful suggestions – in fact – it was you that I was referring earlier about learning from – you had wonderful ideas and suggestions – please come back.
I was just mentioning to someone today, that the reason Hillary is the better candidate is that she positioned herself from the beginning to represent the middle class for a general election. So that she was already in the middle all along.
But ever since BHO became the *presumptive* nominee he has had to do some back peddling and move toward the center which is making him appear insincere and a flip flopper.
Hillary on the other hand, would not have had to do that because SHE ACTUALLY WAS RUNNING FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES…. and from get go.
Like she always said, she was auditioning for a job interview. And those that took the side of charisma over policy are now giving BHO a second look see. And what they are seeing is not pretty.

You’re all great. If I missed someone, I’m sorry!!
I got an email from Clinton Dems: We can do this too!

Super Delegates at this point you are the key to the Democrats winning the White House. Can you afford to send a candidate whose polling numbers are plummeting even further with each passing day? The stakes are too high – do not allow yourself to be swindled in this manner.
Democrats should be winning this year, taking into account the poor approval rating of the current Republican Presidency.
McCain right now is either leading or tied with Obama:
Economy
McCain 45%
Obama 45%
National Security
McCain 52%
Obama 40%
Energy
McCain 46%
Obama 42%
Ethics
McCain 44%
Obama 46%
Iraq
McCain 51%
Obama 39%
Immigration
McCain 45%
Obama 36%
Balance Federal Budget
McCain 43%
Obama 40%
Negotiate Trade Agreements
McCain 45%
Obama 40%
Taxes
McCain 47%
Obama 40%
Social Security
McCain 44%
Obama 38%
Healthcare
McCain 41%
Obama 46%
Right now among unaffiliated McCain is leading Obama 52% to 37%
Did you know that Democrats had only won two out of the last ten elections and those two were won by Clinton who was voted into office twice? Hmmmm… Clinton balanced our budget too after the first George Bush screwed it up and they’re trying to tell us he was a bad President. Yeah right – not in my book.
The argument for Obama has been that he would expand the Democratic Party to include a large majority of independent voters, however is very quickly losing this group of voters.

Thank you for your e-mail.
While I respect your right to express your opinion, I disagree strongly with your characterization of Sen. Obama and the race. I intend to fully and strongly support the candidate who received the majority of the votes in ALL of the states across the country, and the candidate who received an overwhelming majority of the votes in Colorado — Senator Barack Obama. He is clearly the better candidate for the future of this Nation.
I must say that the whole concept of a “PUMA” pac does not help your stated goals. As a Party leader, somebody who is willing to sacrifice Party unity to elect John McCain is not somebody who is at all persuasive to Super delegates (we all know what “PUMA” stands for, and it isn’t what you’ve stated).

I posted a series of responses to Andy Tobias’s emails. My response to him would work for this woman too. Simply say “How can my request for a fair nomination process at the convention be misconstrued as against Hillary or Obama? How can it be considered a democratic process if you refuse to have a fair nominating process at the convention? What are you afraid of?”
Make them answer these questions… it’ll rattle them and they can’t answer them.
Clinton, who conceded to Sen. Barack Obama in June, must submit a request in writing to be nominated at the convention. According to published reports, Clinton has decided against doing so and has been urging her delegates to cast votes for Obama.
Can someone elaborate on this ? Is this true ? Has hill publicly stated that she doesn’t want her name in nomination ???

Dear Pollster,
This is a simple request that many of us would like to see happen. Please include Hillary Rodham Clinton’s name in your next polls to give us a valid look at who would really beat John McCain in a General Election from now until the conventions. And moreso because Barack Obama’s numbers seem to be falling. We have a right to know why this is happening and/or if Hillary’s supporters are still playing a viable roll in those falling numbers. Even more important is the fact that Senator Obama is only the “presumptive” nominee and can not be anointed until the Denver Convention near the end of this month when a roll call vote is expected. And your polling may very well help to shape what happens at that convention’s nominating process because there is still a chance that Hillary Rodham Clinton can still come out on top.
Best Regards,
Kathleen M

Please don’t take what I’m about to say the wrong way but can you try to refrain from acting like chicken little yelling “The sky is falling.” Just have a little faith for once. Stick to the goals: Short term goal — to do everything possible to make waves and get a nomination on the floor at the convention for HRC. Long term goals — to ensure that Obama does not win and to reform the Democratic party so that they are “democratic” (small d) in the future. Vote out all corrupt participants.
Just keep your eye on the doughnut (not the hole) and don’t be so distracted by rumors. Trust me they will be abundant in the months to come as Obama ramps up the attacks and propaganda.
I got my first nasty email from a Superdelegate today:
Thank you for your e-mail.
While I respect your right to express your opinion, I disagree strongly with
your characterization of Sen. Obama and the race. I intend to fully and
strongly support the candidate who received the majority of the votes in ALL
of the states across the country, and the candidate who received an
overwhelming majority of the votes in Colorado — Senator Barack Obama. He
is clearly the better candidate for the future of this Nation.
I must say that the whole concept of a “PUMA” pac does not help your stated
goals. As a Party leader, somebody who is willing to sacrifice Party unity
to elect John McCain is not somebody who is at all persuasive to Super
delegates (we all know what “PUMA” stands for, and it isn’t what you’ve
stated).

If it helps — when I wrote the supers… I included a link to the October Surprise article. This gives me amunition to deflate any arguments they might have about Obama’s qualifications and should also scare them that the voters are doing their homework and not finding out flattering information on BO (as a candidate). Here’s a sample of the letters I sent out to the delegates in case anyone wants to borrow any of the ideas:
Dear Super Delegate,
As a Democratic voter and member of Puma PAC, People United Means Action (www.pumapac.org), I will take great measures to reject the selection of Barack Obama as the Democratic nominee. I have voted faithfully for Democratic candidates in the past, but I cannot in good conscious vote for a Democratic candidate if Senator Obama is my candidate choice. The short answer is because he represents everything that is against democracy (small d).
Furthermore, I will be looking very closely at all Democratic candidates running for offices across this great country in upcoming elections (for years to come) and will actively campaign against any candidates that support the corrupt measures I’ve witnessed in this election season in ignoring the voice of the people.
If you want to know the basis for why I use the word “corrupt” — and why I feel so strongly that Senator Obama is not an appropriate candidate for this party (or this country), then the reasons can be easily summed up in the information contained in this article link below titled “October Surprise” — which should be required reading for all. The information contained in this article is only a very miniscule sample of many problems I find in Senator Obama’s character.
http://www.thecityedition.com/Pages/Archive/Winter08/OctoberSurprise.html
To say that Barack Obama is simply the weaker of the two final candidates for nomination is a major understatement. And why there would be such a strong resistance to having Senator Clinton as a viable candidate in nomination at the convention is beyond comprehension. I can only conclude that forces such as bribery, or other selfish goals are at play here since Senator Clinton is the ONLY candidate that makes sense on every level. In case you haven’t seen the news flash — she DID WIN THE POPULAR VOTE.
For anyone who attempts to block a fair democratic process at the convention — I would like to ask these questions: What makes any of these people feel that their judgement is more important than 18 million voter voices? What makes you feel that any attempts to override the people’s voice (and offering any semblance of an unfair democratic process) will go unnoticed and without consequences? And if you do not stand up for democracy — who will?
PLEASE do your job and support Senator Clinton for nomination in Denver.
Sincerely,
XXXXX

Section: Democratic National Convention Section
Reporting
Jodi Brooks DENVER (CBS4) ― An announcement is expected Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. on how people can get tickets to the acceptance speech by Barack Obama on the final night of the Democratic National Convention at Invesco Field.
As many as 75,000 people could hear the speech in person at the football stadium.
Meetings were still being held Tuesday to work out the final details. More are planned Wednesday, 22 days before the speech is planned.
The Democratic National Convention Committee set up a section on its Web site for people to sign up for an email alert when the announcement is made.
The Obama Campaign said it wants a full house and will apparently ask people to prove they can attend the event before getting a ticket.
Attendees will also be put to work beforehand. They’ll reportedly be asked to take part in a massive phone bank to get out the vote for Obama.
Because of security concerns, people going to the speech will need to arrive between Noon and 2 p.m. on Aug. 28. Obama won’t speak until 8 p.m.

No one at MSNBC has any credibility. It is not really a news station at all. It is a really, really bad sitcom about how a news station set up housekeeping in a candidates rectal outlet. Avoid watching it at all cost.
my response to Andy Tobias,
Hi Andy, I am so glad that you support and adore Hillary Clinton. I listen to you with respect. What I want assurance about now is that Hillary Clinton’s name will be put up for nomination at the convention. That is only right and just. If S.Obama wins the nomination, so be it. I know that S.Clinton will be around and working hard for a long time yet to come-What I am concerned about now is that the DNC follow proper rules so that whoever wins this nomination -wins it in full and open view of all Democrats-we have had too much destructive nonsense in this process so far and it has hurt our party critically-we can start to heal it somewhat by getting Hillary Clinton’s name in nomination. ok I appologize for not being around much, but here is a response from yesterday’s prowl as well as my reply
Andy,
Thank you for your reply, I appreciate you taking the time to read my email. Unfortunately, I cannot support the selected (not elected) candidate for our party! I am not one to abandon my convictions simply because our party orders me to do so, I will not fall in line! I can understand the pressures that the Leaders of our party are placing on anyone who supports Senator Clinton, But I CANNOT understand anyone bowing to these pressures. The leaders of our party are not the ones people should be fearing, we the voters are the ones who will determine the future of our politicians. I can firmly say that the DNC and our party have lost my support this time and I will vote against those who seek to make us “fall in line” up and down the ticket! From the local candidates, to the state candidates and finally ending with the Presidential race! People may consider me just a backwoods, gun toting, bitter, religious nut redneck what people forget is insulting voters is not the way to gain their support.
Thank you,
James

Hi, Murphy and all,
I haven’t been reading the comments here for a while due to personal responsibilities which have taken up a huge amount of my time. But I have been hearing a lot of comments about this:
I want to say that it is important to let people know that PUMAs do NOT all support John McCain. That seems to be a very common misconception. I am aware that some people out there just want to paint the PUMA movement as being a “Republican” operation so they are calling all of us McCain supporters, saying we cannot seriously be for Hillary. But I have run into many Hillary supporters who have mistakenly thought that PUMAs are all McCain supporters.
I am NOT a Republican, and I am not a Democrat — I am a longtime *INDEPENDENT* voter who decided to support Hillary in this election. I SAID *HILLARY* — not just any generic Democrat. Democrats are not all interchangeable. And if Hillary is not the nominee, then I will vote for Ralph Nader and hope that it will take away a vote from Oblahblah.
If there are other independent PUMAs out there, please spread the word that we are not all Republicans out here. There may be some who will vote Republican, but there are others of us who will vote for an independent progressive third party candidate, like Nader or the Green Party.
Thank you, and carry on PUMAs!

You and I both know that’s not what the name really stands for.
And the suggestion that he bought votes is simply offensive, as is your suggestion that Sen. Clinton won the “popular” vote. The only way she can be said to win the popular vote is to exclude states like mine, which is also highly offensive.

#608 scathcart-here is the website for the law on spam http://www.spamlaws.com/spam-laws.html (in case you want to read it).
I figured Murphy would have checked out the laws before she asked Pumas to send emails and that the person who sent the email to you was trying to intimidate you so that you (and other Pumas would stop sending emails). As Murphy said, they are in a dither. And grasping at straws. At this point they are, most likely, getting concerned that with the implosion of BO fallout will land on them.

Just sent this response to Mr. Slater:
The concept of “Obama” does not help your stated goals Mr. Slater!!!!! He is an empty suit and will lose by a landslide in November!!!! Try to keep in mind this country was not formed on Party……it was formed on Country!!! Country before Party!!! I have voted Democratic my entire life…58 years. This year I WILL vote for McCain if Obama is the nominee of the democratic party!!!
We will remember in November!!!
PUMA (People United Means Action)!!!!
As BO implodes, those who linked their futures to his campaign will run as if from a fire to save themselves.

#626 BillieJo – Thanks for the response – I didn’t see the blog yesterday – Sorry to bring up old business –
I know the Puma cause is bigger than the nomination. But the know-it-all tone of that article set me off. If it weren’t such a waste of resources, I’d be in favor of a mass e-mailing to Mr. Fineman questioning the truth of his story.
I received an email from Salter also
My reply:
“Well Sir,
Thank you for your reply.
First of all your insistence that PUMA stands for anything other than we have stated indicates that you are truly out of touch
with current affairs. There are other groups that utilize that phrase, however, we are exactly what we stated. We have no reason to lie, even though that seems to be the more acceptable DNC practice these days.
Your statement of support is truly scary. It indicates that you believe his hype and that you have blinders on with respect to his true agenda.
However, may I ask you a question? Where the heck were you during this long voting process?
Surely you must not have been in this world if you can honestly state he is the candidate that received the most votes and is the better candidate.
Do you have children.. a wife… a family? Are you not at all concerned what this man brings to the table ( of course it may be different an hour from now!). Are you not concerned how the decision you make can affect them. Perhaps you agree with him, and that is even sadder.
Oh, by the way, I am not sacrificing Party Unity. You, our elected servants destroyed that all by yourself. That you must assume the blame for, as well.
Guess we PUMA’s have a LOT more to do in the coming years.
It is never too late to do the RIGHT thing.

Excellent response… but be prepared… he has a slew of canned responses that he’ll send you. I’ve just keep emailing him back with the question “What is it about a fair nomination process that scares you?” He hasn’t answered that question yet.
Information on not being able to post:
I haven’t been having a problem posting and having been reading about other people’s problem and various solutions. I just tried to post and it didn’t work and then I realized I did something I don’t usually do. I hit the “enter” key on my keyboard instead of the “submit” box below the comment box. I have used the submit box before. I don’t know if that could be a cause of the problem for other people. If it is, it would sure be an easy fix rather than copying posts.

“The Obama Campaign said it wants a full house and will apparently ask people to prove they can attend the event before getting a ticket.
Attendees will also be put to work beforehand. They’ll reportedly be asked to take part in a massive phone bank to get out the vote for Obama.”
So much for “free” tickets! And, would someone please tell me where these work-exchange ticket holders are going to stay?
Obama is a false advertisement, from top to bottom.
Yipes, are they going to get uniforms with the *61 plastered across the front, merit badges and become part of the Natzi O’blabla youth?
History repeating itself? Anyone have phone cutters??? Will they also start burning books, anything printed with the Clinton years of success in the Whitehouse.

Greenfun, you are too funny.
It is not really a news station at all. It is a really, really bad sitcom about how a news station set up housekeeping in a candidates rectal outlet.
Just catching up on a zillion posts, so forgive me if I lost track of who addressed what…
SD’S WHO ARE STATE PARTY CHAIRS: More power to the PUMA who responded to the sd communication that was less than dignified. I noticed he was a state party chair. It doesn’t get much more entrenched than that, so no big surprise that they have a die hard commitment to Obama. Those Chairs are part of the problem and are very embedded in the fabric of DNC workings.
CHANGING PARTY STATUS TO “INDEPENDENT”: I’ve posted this before, but think it’s worth doing so again so I can spare others from making the same technical mistake I did the first time around. After Obama was anointed this spring, I immediately changed my (lifelong) party affilation from Democrat to Indepedent, or so I thought. WARNING: Do NOT select “American Independent Party”. If you want to be an Independent, you must select the option on the voter reg form that says: “I Decline to State a Political Party”. And, needless to say, no matter what option you choose, it will impact how you can or cannot participate in primaries.
COMMUNCATING WITH SD’S WHO ARE ELECTED OFFICIALS WHILE CONGRESS IS ON BREAK: I got a little concerned that since Congess is on break and it’s August and vacation time that a lot of SD’s who are elected officials may not receive my faxes or e-mails, so I called my rep and senator’s offices to inquire into whether communication is still received. In all offices I was told that staff compile comunication that comes in every day and send it to the congressperson/senator at the end of the day. They presume the person reviews it though they have no way of being able to guarantee that they look at it each day. Overall, though, the impression seemed to be that although Congress is on break, communication continues to flow to the congressperson/senator. But, I suppose if you have any doubts, you could always call your own elected official if they are also an SD to confirm. Just an fyi…
I’m ready for the canned responses…. since I’m stuck here in Bedford County PA.. between trips to town and helping my brother fix his house I check in! Off the meds so the responses might be better ..lol
#640 monap-My opinion on his vacation: it’s because he is down in the polls. The more people see of him the more he drops in the polls. So, he is laying low before the convention so that he won’t drop any further. Probably on the advice of his campaign managers and the DNC.

#625 NYC Girl, I hear ya. I am an Independent as well and chose Hillary Clinton after watching all of the debates and doing a great deal of research on all of the candidates, Democrat and Republican. I think the Puma movement encourages personal choice. I know some deeply committed Hillary supporters who will sit the general election out, I know others (including myself) will vote for McCain, others Nader, etc. The bottom line I think we are all in agreement is: NObama.

Great replies to SD Slater: What state is he in? I can pull him up on Delegate Watch unless you want to post his e-mail direct. I e-mailed all of the SD from Illinois this AM. Thought it was time for them to hear from me. Senator Obama is on the list as well.
Ooops!!
What I wrote back to Slater:
Mr. Slater,
I, too, respect your opinion, but find offense to your suggestion that Pumapac stands for anything other than “People United Means Action”. Please take the time to visit our website and you’ll find that you have mistaken our group with another.
Next, I highly disagree with you, and so do the polls, that Senator Obama is the stronger candidate. That is just pure bunk. He is slipping in the polls daily against McCain and has failed to gain any traction since “securing” the nomination. Meanwhile, a Rasmussen poll in July found Senator Clinton out-polling McCain by eight points although she was no longer in the race. And, I beg to differ, Senator Clinton won the popular vote, not Senator Obama.
Just because Senator Obama was surreptitiously selected by the Rules and Bylaws Committee and bought off a huge group of elected super delegates who actually went against the will of their constituents to back him, does not make him a better candidate. His fate was sealed when the Reverend Wright story broke, yet party insiders decided to support him anyway. He will not win in November. Too many Americans do not trust him. I am one of them. So are all my friends and family, all lifelong Democrats, who feel the same way.
Another fallacy in your answer is that we support John McCain. Some of our members will vote for him, but we do not advocate that as a group. Other than not voting for Senator Obama who, quite frankly, frightens me, I personally have not yet decided what I will do in November. I very much want a Democrat to win in November, just not that one.
Sincerely,
XXXXXXXXX

RE: LUDACRIS LYRICS: calling Clinton a “bitch who is irrelevant”
I’ve been trying to find how much, if any, donations he made to Obama’s campaign since that song was released, but can’t find anything. I went to the Huffington Post site, but only saw a $250 donation to some local school project. If anyone has any current info on this, I’d love to have it. I’m working on a letter that addresses how Obama is using Clinton to campaign for him while (perhaps) continuing to accept funds from Ludacris, who describes Clinton as noted above (can’t bear to write it twice, it’s so horrid).
By the way, the real name of this rapper is CHRISTOPHER BRIAN BRIDGES.
If anyone has any info, please make sure you type a heading on the top of your post (upper case and/or bold) so it’s easy for me to find.

RE: THE POST DANCES QUOTES ABOUT THE FORCES WE’RE UP AGAINST: The way I see it, of course what we’re up against is HUGE – lots of people, lots of power, and lots of money. But, would any of us not be doing what we’re doing because of the scale of the challenge? I doubt it. But, in the process, I, for one, have no illusions about the size of our movement and voice and the size of theirs. But what choice have we? This is the nature of the beast.

Sorry that you seem to feel that the majority of Americans who supported Sen. Obama don’t have valid opinions. That is a sad statement; I’ve been a strong supporter of Sen. Obama’s since well before the beginning of this process. I’m proud of that, and I’m proud of the fact that he won this nomination.

As a real “Democrat”, I respect everyone’s right to an opinion.
If you are not aware that many representatives have gone against the will of the people, then I have to ask, Why Not?
I also feel entitled , as a voter of the United States of America to express my concerns and urge our elected officials to go with the will of the majority.
I have the right to express my fears and question the judgment of those in positions to decide my fate.
Unless the Democratic leaders have changed the rules again, and I am sorry to say, I don’t trust my party on that one either, our “leaders” are supposed to be the voice of the people…majority rules…etc.
Somewhere along the line I think the “PARTY” has forgotten that.

Thanks Dances, back at ya!
Per POC PUMA:
People of Color to Obama: Don’t Take Us For Granted
Barack Obama may take for granted that people of color will support him because of his racial identity and the unique flavor of his candidacy. However, I am learning that not all people of color are on-board with his presidential run. Indeed, the POC PUMA group represents a rainbow of peoples – Chinese, Native Americans, Latino, African-Americans, to name a few.
Recently, I met two Chinese who said Obama is too inexperienced. Asians For McCain says Obama should have taken up McCain’s challenge to hold town hall meetings with him across the country. Native Americans Against Barack Obama says Obama does not back up his words with actions. PUMA Latinos has been formed, and they say, “i pais antes de partido!” A native of India who is now an American citizen, informed me that he was planning to vote McCain because of the way DNC treated Hillary Clinton.
Even my wife, an African-American, who was a staunch Obama supporter throughout the primary season, has now turned against him, and is willing to vote for McCain. Why are people like my wife turning away from Obama? The answer may be quite simple.
When you scrutinize him, you cannot support him.
enough bickering about McCain please. He is NOT our focus !! thanks
“I’m proud of that, and I’m proud of the fact that he won this nomination.”
ummm, hate to be there bearer of bad news but,
obama hasn’t “won” the nomination. He doesn’t have the requisite number of votes. The votes at the open (read: legal (in alignment with their own rules)convention determines who wins the nomination.

I made an inquiry at the Gallup and got an interesting reply. The following is my latest response and earlier inquiry:
Jim,
Thank you for the informative reply. However, I do not know of any formal statement from Clinton about not seeking the nomination. There is alot of innuendo about that, but she is being sought by her supporters to step up for nomination. According to the DNC, she is going to be on the ballot for nomination as the presidential candidate at the DNC Convention this August. I called Howard Dean’s office myself and asked. There is alot of support insisting she get a fair vote.
Gallup Polls are highly regarded and monitored at my favorite PUMA blog (www.blog.pumapac.org). We sure would like to see some stats on Clinton versus Obama and McCain.

XXX,
Senator Clinton suspended her campaign and has declared she is no longer a candidate for the Democratic nomination. In fact, she has encouraged her supporters to support Senator Obama and is actively campaigning for him. Unless and until she indicates she is a candidate again, we are not including her in our polls. Senator Clinton, like all major candidates, conducted her own internal polling to make campaign decisions. I’m sure she’ll continue to do that if she is interested in resuming her campaign.

Nader: Obama Not Black Prez He Hoped For
Ralph Nader ripped Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., on Wednesday, saying that the presumptive Democratic nominee would not make the kind of African-American president that he and other members of the civil rights movement worked to make possible.
“People who have fought the civil rights battle — politically, economically, legally — as we have since the 50’s would often talk about, ‘Look what would happen if we had an African-American president or chairpersons of major congressional committees,’” said Nader. “It doesn’t look like it’s going to be what we all thought it would be.”
“I lost respect for him,” Nader said of Obama “when I saw him over a year ago on C-SPAN vigorously opposed to the impeachment of Bush and Cheney — vigorously opposed. He said it would be ‘divisive’. That is a cop out word. We have the most multiply impeachable presidency in American history.”

Yes, that may be it. If so, that’s just pathetic. Maybe I’ve grown too cynical as I’ve aged, but I believe actions speak louder than words. I am currently on the tail end of a trip overseas and will be back in Alabama by Monday, but I am checking my email while over here. If you need to, go to my personal email that you should have and zap me a note. I’m signing off for the night as I must trek to the hotel and it’s almost 10 at night here in France. I’ll check the email tomorrow.
Anybody heard of the book: Bill Clinton and Black America?
#740 Anna,
I don’t think you should worry. I listened to Hillary’s message and it sounds upbeat. I doubt that she would have an online chat to diss us. I think it’s just a way for her to say a small thank you for all we are doing. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!
I’m going to post an interview from the book by Donna Brazile. Please read all the way through for some enlightening thoughts from Ms. Brazile
Per No Quarters:
YOUR first job at 4:30 p.m. this Friday (August 8): Greet Howard Dean at his (cough) “Register for Change” rally at “Freedom Corner,” at the intersections of Centre Avenue & Crawford Street in Pittsburgh (about one mile from the Westin Hotel, 1000 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, where most of the delegates will be staying). Carry a “I Own My Vote” sign with you! (Overnight orders, or call (800) 243-8293 or (623) 869-8233 | minimum order of 25 signs costs $69.95. Stickers and other signs will be available tomorrow.)
YOUR second job on Saturday (August 9): Bear witness. These meetings are open to the public, but we will need to be quiet during the actual meeting and abide with parliamentary procedures. Meet and mingle with members of the Platform Committee — three from each of our 50 states — and lobby for the measures listed in the IOwnMyVote platform survey. (A full list of the measures is below the fold.) You will go to the Pittsburgh Convention Center aka David L. Lawrence Convention Center, 1000 Fort Duquesne Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA. Platform meetings will be held in the “Spirit of Pittsburgh Ballroom” (3rd floor) at the convention center. Here is the schedule of events:

Title: Bill Clinton and Black America
Author: Dewayne Wickham
Publication Year: 2002
Publisher: Random House
This book is a collection of interviews from prominent African Americans on how President Clinton achieved prominence in the African American community. Amazingly, there is a very interesting interview from Donna Brazile beginning on page 49 and I’m going to transcribe it for you, here. I have bolded, underlined, and italicized the most interesting parts of this interview. This is a perfect example of the revelation of the turncoats for primary 2008!
“Bill Clinton got off to a rough start with black folks, but as the years wore on he became more and more popular with us. Prior to the 1996 election, there was a lot of dissatisifaction with him over some of his policies and yet while black leaders and members of the Congressional Black Caucus privately, and in some cases publicaly, grumbled about his backing of some conservative initatives, his support in the black community didn’t waver. By this time black folks were with him. They were with him on the death penalty. There were with him on welfare reform. There were with him on taking a tough line on crime. It was almost as if he spoke in unison with the black community. So, I think Bill Clinton had a rare gift. I haven’t seen any other white politicians in the twentieth centurey master the black vote and the black community as well as Bill Clinton.
We did polling in each of the last three years of his presidency and in every poll Bill Clinton was the number one African American leader. He remains number one. Black pollster Ron Lester just did another poll in Virginia and Clinton came out on top. He’s number one. When you ask ‘what leader would you most like to hear from,’ he’s the number one person. He comes out higher than Jesse Jackson and Colin Powell. He beats all the black people. I’ll never forget I had to breadk it down to Reverend Jackson-he said ‘No, not Bill Clinton.’ I said, ‘Yes, Bill Clinton is the number one African American leader.’ Now that’s amazing!
he not only connected symbolically with African Americans but, after 12 years of Regan and Bush, he appeared to be somebody that was on the side of African Americans. Her not only understood our language and our songs, he understood our dreams and aspirations. I’ll tell you a story. It was in June of 2000. We had an event at the home of songwriter Babyface, I believe his real name is Kenneth Edmonds. He was hosting a fund-raiser for the Democratic Party and the president was the featured guest. The party was at Babyface’s Los Angeles estate and he got a lot of other celebrities, like Lionel Ritchie, Chaka Khan, and Quincy Jones, to show up. There were a lot of Hollywood’s ‘Who’s Who,’ as well as a number of regular people, but mostly black folks.
The food was served buffet style. When the time came to eat, the president, rather than have someone serve him, stood in line with everyone else. I’ll never forget it. he was standing right behind Chaka Khan, talking to her and the other people around him. When he got to the front of the line, the first food he went to was the black-eyed peas and smothered pork chops. I don’t know, maybe it’s his southern roots, his southern heritage. I’ve met other southern politicans who were timid around African Americans, especially powerful African Americans.
Later, when they started partying Bill Clinton just hunkered down. He understood every song that was being played-music ranged from the ’60s to the ’70s. It’s like he grew up with us. When I was in his presence I never felt as if I was with a politician who didn’t understand me. I never had to break it down to Bill Clinton. When I told him what was going on in the black community, he understood it right away, like he was part of our culture, part of what we experienced. Clinton understands the history of our country, the history of race in America, and I think he ses himself as someone who can help bridge the racial divide and to help bring about healing. There was not a pollster telling him that he had to hang out with us to get the black vote. He really liked being around black people.
In White House meetings the president would always remind people, his top advisers, that he wanted African Americans around the table. he didn’t want to go to all-white meetings. He didn’t want to be involved in all-white events. you know the one mistake that politicians make, espeically liberal white politicians, is that they believe they know more about the black experience than do black people. Bill Clinton never treated African-American leaders or African American voters as if he knew more about our experience. He understood it. He always shared our pain. He just understood what we were going through, more than any other white politician, and I think that’s why he will always remain the most popular figure in black politics for African Americans!”

I just got the same e-mail from Hillary’s campaign. I’ll be there tomorrow….bet on it….
I never get nasty responses, I wish I did sometimes so I can have a good chuckle over them
Murphy, I don’t know if you can put this up on the whole blog or not, but I love it. I put all of the citation information there. So, I did not steal the information and I give myself credit for typing it from the original source.
I think we should all send this back to Ms. Brazile
thanks, antifish. no, i’m not worried about her dissing us. i’m worried about her starting to lay the ground work to ease her supporters down slooooooowly for news about her plans for her delegates. that’s my neurosis and i so don’t want to stick to it! can i come over a play in your yard?!*
#741 mijabsnji
That would be cool if we could get Hillary entered into that aol straw poll

Donna Brazile’s love of Bill Clinton (must read)
Posted on August 5th, 2008 by Dem4Hillary
How ironic
makes me want to puke
**********************
Thanks for sharing that web page. Donna praised how Bill Clinton understood the AA and worked with them in achieving their community and political goals.
I guess Clinton did not understand them enough because they sure stabbed him in the back, by trying to peg him as a Racist.
Of all the presidents Clinton was the one that worked the hardest with the black community.
That is why I have lost a lot of respect for these black delegates, mayors, super delegates’ et al…
I enjoyed reading Guiajackson’s reply and letter to Donna.
Unbelievable to see posted in Obama’s Community Blog
at 1-53 EDTto-day
I quote “The only way to free America is to shed ourselves from the racists zionists in America, they control everything, but they w’ont keep us down any longer, throw the jews in the oven this november, it is the only way we can free america and make sure Barack Obama is elected ” Posted by AL
Take care Pumas, it looks like concentration camps
for you.. A sad reflection on the election scene
Shane…….
The only thing that worries me about the media saying Hillary doesn’t want the nomination (even though we know she does and has said in the July 31st interview) is the media (read Obama campaign) is trying very hard to make people believe that including delegates and super delegates.
That is why I think it is important for everyone to get the word out and dispute such nonsense. I include the interview link in the letters to the SD now.
Murphy & Marylandpuma,
I completed the email portion of the daily growl. Sorry I don’t have time to do the phone calls. I did however talk to an AA lady yesterday in Dallas. She was a retired Assistant Principals for one of the schools there. She said she was really disgusted with Barack Obama and didn’t care if there was a black president unless he was the most qualified. She also said she was a Clinton supporter and had also heard of Puma.
Hi Antifish and All Pumas!!!
Sorry I don’t have time to chat now but have to make some money. Take care and keep up the good work.
OK. I’ve shaken off my worries (locked them back in their little box and put it back in the basement!) and back in action mode! Antifish, I think your words snapped me out of it. Thanks.
Do you think we should brainstorm some key questions for Senator Clinton’s chat tomorrow? I, for one, would like to focus on the whole nomination thing. It would be nice to have something else, something that’s even more current, besides the 7/31 video to go on regarding her perspective on this issue. What do others feel?
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh erica cain of the city of dayton blocked my e-mail, Well! I’m insulted.
Just received an email from Huffington Post called “OFF THE BUS”. It’s written in Latin. While I took it in highschool many years ago, I am not fluent. Shall I post it here? Please let me know. Unnerving!
Well, I am glad to see I’m not the only one with many email kickbacks. I tried emailing again, maybe I didn’t hold my nose right.
Going to County Fair again today. Want to put up posters. Any in Spanish???? Any new ones???
shane – i’d seen that before and thought 1) it had been removed and/or 2) it was actually from a fake site. i don’t mean to defend obama, but in actuality, i’ve never seen anything called a “community blog” on his home page. they made a big issue of this at american thinker many weeks ago. when i went to find it, i couldn’t. when did you see it and are you sure it’s the actual site. i find it implausible that obama would actually allow something like that on his site. it’s so inflammatory and he desperately needs the jewish vote. it smacks of an infiltrator to me. again, not trying to defend obama, but think it’s crucial to tease apart fact from fiction and i think that may be fiction.

I’m doing well, a little less tired but my throat still feels raw, it’ll pass though, thank you for asking.
How’s you?
#766 heysandy
No!
#752 Dem4Hillary,
Thank you for that post. It says a lot about Donna Brazile’s completely lack of character and ethics. After all, she was the first to play the race card against President Clinton the day after the New Hampshire primary. That she would stab someone in the back who she so recently admired is telling. All I can gather from her actions is that she, herself, is a racist at heart.
#771 SunnyPA
Very well! Do you know what this is about?
#732 Marie:
Excellent article. And I thought I couldn’t respect Donna Brazille any less. Guess I was wrong.
#761 Shane,
My God!
I thought I would post the letter I am sending to the Super Delegates, I noticed a few others have and I think it is a good idea to offer them to people who aren’t sure how to write it or don’t have much time.
My letter is actually a mixture of a couple prowls Murphy has sent along with my own additions. I wish it were shorter, the one thing I know is very few will read a long letter. If anyone has any suggestions, wants to change it or use as is please do so:
————————————-
Dear Super Delegate,
I am a Democratic voter and member of Puma PAC, People United Means Action (www.pumapac.org). We represent the more than 18 million American voters who supported Senator Clinton and who reject the selection of Barack Obama as the Democratic nominee.
Senator Obama is losing ground to Senator McCain every day. At the same time Senator Clinton shows an advantage over John McCain in the general election. Millions of Democrats vow not to vote for him in November because of his inexperience and uneasiness to lead.
Only Senator Clinton can win back the White House for our Party in November. I feel Senator Clinton is by far the more qualified candidate who can through her experience bring this country back on it’s feet again. Senator Clinton has shown not only the strength and experience to help this country in it’s time of need but also Senator Clinton has shown she has the will of the people behind her.
Please support Senator Clinton for nomination in Denver. Please call on the DNC leadership to allow an Open Convention with Hillary’s name in nomination. Please vote for Senator Clinton at the Convention in Denver. Neither candidate has enough pledged delegate support to secure the nomination.
On July 31st Senator Clinton in an interviewed stated she believes the only way for a unified party is if she is placed in nomination in an open convention; http://dakiniland.wordpress.com/2008/08/01/731-hillary-video-by-simofish-must-see/
American Democrats and voters will support you for your courage and willingness to stand up to the party insiders by representing the voice of the voters.
Sincerely,
Puma PAC democrat
#763 Hi Sherry,
Make some money for me too!
trish – glad you’re feeling less tired, but sorry you seem to have some kind of bug. keep drinking clear fluids and keep your poor throat hydrated. i’m doing ok. not one of my better days, but it’ll pass, as you say! think i need to lay down in a bit, though…just feeling a bit crummy.

Help!
Since yesterday I’ve trying to e-mail the Prowl and the list of addresses are not working for me…
any tips? please…
************************
This is what I do, When I receive my email, I copy only the section of the email addresses, plus the letter and paste it to my Microsoft Office Word and keep the document open.
Then I go back to my email and open a new email.
I click on the BB sign which means (blind copy) usually at the right hand corner of your new email.
Then I go back to my word document copy the email addresses and then go back to my email and paste them in the BB address line.
Then I go back to my word document and copy the letter and come back to my email and post it by touching the logo (mine looks like a clip board and a small typed letter) and when you place your mouse over that logo, it should read “Paste Text” press that and your letter should fill in the email.
And then you press send….
Hope this helps!
3 prowls done, what’s the 4th?
BillK – Nice letter. I took a quick look a made a couple of comments. Don’t mean to sound like I’m screaming, but in order to distinguish my comments from the body of the text, i put them in upper case.
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - —
I am a Democratic voter and member of Puma PAC, People United Means Action (www.pumapac.org). We represent the more than 18 million American voters who supported Senator Clinton and who reject the selection of Barack Obama as the Democratic nominee.
NOT SURE YOU CAN CLAIM WE REPRESENT 18 MILLION PLUS SINCE MANY OF THOSE SWITCHED TO OBAMA AND WE REALLY DON’T KNOW HOW LARGE A GROUP WE ARE.
Senator Obama is losing ground to Senator McCain every day. At the same time Senator Clinton shows an advantage over John McCain in the general election. Millions of Democrats vow not to vote for him in November because of his inexperience and uneasiness to lead.
YOUR CLAIMS WOULD CARRY MORE WEIGHT IF YOU SITE WHERE YOU GOT THAT DATA.
Only Senator Clinton can win back the White House for our Party in November. I feel Senator Clinton is by far the more qualified candidate who can, (COMMA) through her experience, (COMMA) bring this country back on (I THINK “ON” MIGHT BE BETTER IF REPLACED BY “TO”) it’s feet again. Senator Clinton has shown not only the strength and experience to help this country in it’s time of need but (ELIMINATE THE REPETITION OF HER NAME) has shown she has the will of the people behind her.
Please support Senator Clinton for nomination in Denver. Please call on the DNC leadership to allow an Open Convention with Hillary’s name in nomination. Please vote for Senator Clinton at the Convention in Denver. Neither candidate has enough pledged delegate support to secure the nomination.
On July 31st Senator Clinton in an interview (CURRENT TENSE, NOT PAST TENSE) stated she believes the only way for THE PARTY TO BE UNIFIED is if she is placed in nomination in an open convention; I THINK YOUR SUMMARY OF HER WORDS MAY BE A BIT MORE DIRECT THAN WHAT SHE STATED. IF YOU’RE GOING TO REPRESENT WHAT SHE SAID, I’D GO BACK AND EXTRACT QUOTES OR, IF YOU’RE GOING TO SUMMARIZE, IT’S MY OPINION THAT YOUR STATEMENT IS MORE CLEAR AND BOLD THANWHAT SHE SAID http://dakiniland.wordpress.com/2008/08/01/731-hillary-video-by-simofish-must-see/
American Democrats and voters will support you for your courage and willingness to stand up to the party insiders by representing the voice of the voters.
OK-I will be the first one to admit that I am not a rocket scientist, but I am a little surprised that all the pundits, experts, so-called senior analysts and other windbags (including the Democratic establishment)
are so befuddled by Obama’s lack of performance in the polls. I was mulling this over and came up with a few ideas of my own-I believe I am just as qualified as all those other blowhards.
1. BO never, ever had the Democratic BASE-they voted for Clinton…..18 million strong.
2. The Dems BIGGEST demographic-women, didn’t just get over it.
3. Liberals were sorely disappointed by the FISA vote and triple backflip on public financing.
4. The youth vote (I have a 19yr old)-who were marketed with cold calculation by team BO, is over it. Bless their spirited hearts. They live more in the moment, and BO is yesterdays news. ( Nancy, Dean and Donna really shouldn’t have overlooked this one.)
5. African Americans have taken note that BO doesn’t align himself too closely with their demographic, and he seldom speaks out about the injustices and inequity that minorities in this country experience every day. HRC and BC have in earnest, but I guess that is another story.
6. Americans weren’t buying the cheesy fake Presidential seal. Many were actually incredulous that a Presidential candidate would come up with something so tacky.
7. He followed that up with a ‘make-believe I am President tour’ of Europe-complete with media and fake interviews ( beyond embarrassing. Other countries could see through his self-interest, let me use you for my personal gain tour. They probably think less of American politicians now than ever before.)
8. He did not visit troops in Germany.
9. Re-inventing the electoral map was a delusional dream at best. In truth it is classic Axelrod B.S. that any self-respecting politician should have seen through.
10. Let’s not forget the lack of experience.
I’m sure other pumas can add to this list.
Got my password changed &
got my PROWL done.
Great day to be a PUMA!

I understand your position, but thought it might be beneficial to know what the damn thing says. If anyone knows Latin and can translate, I think it may be worth the effort. Murphy, what to you think? It was dated June 26, but I just received it today. We don’t have to post it on the blog. It no one else concerned that emails are being sent in LAtin?

If you are that curious…translate it using one of those free translation sites on the web.
An email that old has passed its usefulness, if any considering it from huffington post.
TOPIC: Bill Clinton / CNN
just 3 exerpts:
1. “Black folks are so excited about Obama’s candidacy that they forget who has been on their side all these years. Calling President Bill Clinton a racist by black folk was the greatest insult to hurl at him and the greatest betrayal. You say Clinton tried to marginalize Obama’s victory in South Carolina. Well… didn’t Obama try to marginalize all the 8 years of Clinton in the Whitehouse?
You see, the Obama campaign recently tried the same tactic on McCain but it backfired when the McCain camp responded in kind. Bill should have done the same thing. I think he didn’t because he was shocked by the accusation, then the hurt set in. There is a proper place and context for accusing somebody of racism, and if all black folk can do is hurl “racist” insults at people when they are competition with them, then God help us!
By the way, has Barack done anything to help his maternal grandmother or paternal grandmother both of whom don’t seem to be having a very good life? ”
2. “Bill Clinton doesn’t have to apologize for anything. Many Americans love him and Hilary and we remember the peace and prosperity of the 90′s.
Clinton said it correctly ” This is all a big fairy tale. ” For a man with the associations Obama has to get to the highest office in the land is beyond belief. Oprah and Obama started the race card and Obama has been playing it ever since. He makes us sick and more will be sick of him by November !!! Stick around Bill and Hill – YOU WILL GET THE LAST LAUGH! ”
3. “The sad truth of the matter is Black people turned their back on Bill Clinton because they had a black man running for President. Bill Clinton did nothing wrong and he was respected and admired by Black people before they had a choice of another Black person. Just goes to show, racist works both ways.
Hillary is much more qualified than Obama”
P.S.
You Can Still Post HERE:
Why Bill Clinton’s still upset

BillK – Sorry. On the word document, there was a space in between your paragraphs and my comments. Ugh. On here it just looks like a giant run-on sentence.
PS I think the word of “back on it’s feet” or “back to it’s feet” is nit picking. Sorry. I think it doesn’t matter.
784 greenfun
You are so awesome, thanks again.
#784 greenfun,
Those are very insightful points. You might add that the continuous playing of the race card has become tedious and trite.
#783 Anna7000 – Thanks so much. I will be making the needed changes today and hopefully get it more prefected
. I do appreciate it, thanks.
#786 heysandy, I like to know what it or if others got it. Can’t help you with the latin though. Here a link to a free latin translation site http://www.translation-guide.com/free_online_translators.php?from=Latin&to=English

Hillary and Bill are pushing really hard for donations, I wonder if that means they are close to paying off the debt or just the opposite. Or does it mean she must have it paid off to have a stronger role? Anyone have any inside info on this?
hi my PUMA family!! I heard that Hillary is planning to rally for “Inflate my Tires” in Florida. Do you know exactly where in Florida? I live in Miami, I can join the rally with PUMA signs. Please advise. My email address in case I can’t read these posts is ibuyumu66@gmail.com
sometimes I have too much work and check my emails from my phone.
Okay, maybe I am just a half a glass full kind of a PUMA, but don’t you think if Hillary was against the petition and letters to SD that she would have told us in her new video?
A chat, that is so exciting.
Here’s yet another in a wave on endless press that mis-states that Obama has “won the nomination”. Lord, it gets tiring contacting them to correct their sloppy journalistic reporting. Anyone want to contact them to make that point, go for it!

I received the following from Donna B. after my email to her this afternoon:

Swampland- McCain and the DHL Deal
Posted by Karen Tumulty
When I was traveling with the McCain campaign last month in Ohio, I was struck by this moment at one of his town meetings. It seemed, at the time, like some of that trademark “straight talk”:
Mary Houghtaling, who runs a hospice in Wilmington, Ohio, choked up as she told McCain of DHL’s plans to close its domestic air hub in her town, a move that could throw 8,600 people out of work. “This is a terrible blow,” McCain told her. “I don’t know if I can stop it. That’s some straight talk. Some more straight talk? I doubt it.”
It was not the kind of answer you often hear from a politician, and McCain is certainly hoping that kind of change will impress voters. When I talked to Houghtaling after the event, she was still wiping tears from her eyes. Houghtaling noted that she had supported McCain when he ran for President in 2000, and she intends to do it again. “Had he been elected,” she said, “I believe it would have been a different world.” But she didn’t fault McCain for his answer: “I think he was honest, because I don’t think there’s any hope.”
But there was one detail that McCain failed to mention at the time.It turns out the Republican nominee had been an advocate of the controversial foreign acquisition that is now blamed for all those lost jobs. Here’s how the Cleveland Plain Dealer’s Stephen Koff explains the politically ticklish situation that McCain now faces as a result:
When Republican presidential candidate John McCain meets Thursday with citizens and officials in Wilmington, Ohio, he won’t need a playbook to understand why they’re worried about deep job losses at the local freight airport.
Little known to those citizens, McCain and his campaign manager, Rick Davis, played roles in the fate of DHL Express and its Ohio air park as far back as 2003. Back then, however, their actions that helped DHL and its German owner, Deutsche Post World Net, acquire the Wilmington operations resulted in expansion, not retraction.
In a private meeting Thursday, Wilmington residents will ask McCain for help in stopping DHL’s proposal to quit using the airport as a hub, which could cost more than 8,000 jobs. DHL says that it wants to stay in the freight business but that it can stem financial losses if it can put its packages aboard the planes of a rival – United Parcel Service – before delivering them in DHL trucks. UPS flies out of Louisville, Ky., so the proposed change would render the Wilmington airport unnecessary.
None of that was anticipated in 2003, when McCain and Davis, who was a Washington lobbyist before managing the presidential campaign, first got involved. Several Wilmington civic leaders said that what happened in 2003 created an economic gain for their community, lasting several years.
But because that gain, and now the prospective loss, came from the decisions of a foreign-owned corporation, look for some Democrats and labor to seek to tie Wilmington’s current troubles to McCain.
“Those jobs are on the chopping block because Sen. McCain and his campaign were involved in a deal that resulted in control of those positions being shifted to a foreign corporation, and there’s no getting around that,” said Joe Rugola, president of the Ohio AFL-CIO.

Looks like she may be moderating her remarks and just sending us whatever to make a point.
Alert! Sean Hannity just talked about Pumas. He mentioned the march in Denver and the demand to place her name in nomination!
#806 Anna7000
Anna, I took that poll to mean that the other 57% want Hillary to president. lol
BillieJo – More power to you for being a glass half full (at least!) kind of PUMA. I don’t think Clinton would make ANY kind of direct statement commiting herself to anything really substanative on a video like this. She is a political leader operating at a level of power and influence that is unimaginable. Every move she makes and every word she utters must be as strategic as possible as she knows full well the consequences of putting anything out there for the world to interpret/misinterpret/use against her, etc. Assuming her chat won’t drop any bombs, I’m figuring she’ll continue to keep certain things somewhat ambiguous leaving certain doors just open enough, not pinning herself down in any way she’s not prepared to accept. Just my perspective.
Good for Sean!! I just sent him and Colmes an e-mail. Have finished my prowls and sent SD letters to NY, MA, CA, FL. Will do some more tonight.
Go Hillary, Go PUMAs!!
The following response from Ben Johnson
“Oh my. The republicans must love you.”
My response to him:
cute, very cute but oh my– how disrespectful and lacking in original thought. Your response ( if one can characterize it as such) demonstrates to me loudly and clearly that the way in which superdelegates are chosen needs to be examined carefully. We need people in that position who have courage and can think for themselves. People who can engage in thoughtful, intelligent discourse. People who really care deeply about happens to the democratic process and are willing to step up to the plate to do what is right and just. Apparently we missed the mark with you Respectfully Mary Pat Kunert

I agree with you, I just think if she thought we were way off base or doing something she was against she would tell us.
Sunny Pa – How’d you get that? Which paragraph?
Anyway, my main gripe is the poll saying BO is the nominee. If I write one more e-mail to the press correcting this bit of disinformation my little fingers are going to fall off!

I can neither watch nor read Roland Martin. However, at your suggestion, I did go the site and left this comment: PUMA.
poppy I saw you made it on welcome and we will look forward to your input
815 Anna watch those little fingers we still need them lol

I think you are right! Hillary will continue to keep certain things ambiguous and leave doors open without being pinned down. I also think she’s testing the water. This is a strategy she’s used often in the past, when she’s contemplating a move. Speculation to be sure…
I also agree it would be good the have a few very well crafted questions to submit from individuals here.
Sunny Pa – I see. I think you’re just looking at the headlline. But the polling is much more nuanced that that. Anyway, fugetaboutit! I just got riled up about Rasmussen claiming Obama was the nominee.
aarrrrrrggghhhhh
(I think I’m in a bad mood today.)

Give us a flavor of it, if it is long, if not post the entire thing. I’m curious.

That’s why God invented copy, paste and save.
Sunny Pa’s “optimism” + Billie Jo’s “glass half full” PUMA = very encouraging duo!

Anna, it does get frustrating…but like you have said many times, we must stay focused and see the bigger picture.
alohapuma – so nice to see your name on a post. you used to post more, if i recall correctly, and i really miss your presence on the blog. hope you’re well.
i’m off to take a nap. hopefully i’ll wake up in a better mood!

Don’t worry Anna, we have all had plenty of those days since early June.
Chin up PUMA………..purrrrrrrrrr
Help please: on today’s prowls, if the supers are bcc’d, who do I send my e-mail messages TO?
Sunny Pa – Thanks for the reminder. Sometimes it’s needed. I really appreciate everyone’s energy and optimism today. I hope I haven’t been a downer. I think catching some much-needed zzzzzzzzzzzz’s will help.
(If I’m still being worried, irritable or nutty later on the blog, call me out on it, ok?!*)

It will go okay with no names in the ‘to’ field.
Hillstheone
TY….and I sure hope you are right! “Slated to Lose”
Darn that would have great end to the letter!

It depends on what email service you are using. Gmail does not require a name in the ‘to’ field when bcc’ing
AOL and Yahoo! does require a name in the ‘to’ field. In which case, I send it to myself.
We’ve got an article in the Denver newspaper Rocky Mountain News, the biggest newspaper in Colorado. Go add your support the comments are vile.

Downer?!?!? No.
You are much better than me on this blog.
Thank you Anna – You are very kind.
Real life responsibilities/business need maintenance, but I check in and prowl. I also feel compelled to post elsewhere to *assist* reasonable people with an understanding of the rest of the story. I do believe the assumption of inevitability is waning. Gotta reach as many people as possible right now….
You and others are doing tremendous work here. Thank you!!

Relax and get some rest.
Senator Obama has a clean slate. He can point at all the Senators like Senator Clinton and McCain and blame them for the war in Iraq because Senator Obama wasn’t there. Obama has a clean slate. While all the other Senators and Governors and Presidents who have served this country 20-30 years ago were faced with tough decisions, Senator Obama wasn’t there.
Senator Obama – - – you weren’t there.
I am Flowerchild2 and I approve this message.

Does this sound familiar
This will be considered off-topic — but it isn’t. I thought I’d share this letter which was sent to the Editor of the Times-Dispatch by a gentlemen who escaped Cuba in the 1960’s. His words come from the experience of believing in someone, without taking the time to know who they really are, and the consequences that followed:
Subject: Celebration
From Richmond Times-Dispatch, Monday, July 7, 2008
Dear Editor, Times-Dispatch:
Each year I get to celebrate Independence Day twice. On June 30 I celebrate my independence day, and on July 4, I celebrate America ’s. This year is special, because it marks the 40th anniversary of my independence.
On June 30, 1968, I escaped Communist Cuba, and a few months later, I was in the United States to stay. That I happened to arrive in Richmond on Thanksgiving Day is just part of the story, but I digress.
I’ve thought a lot about the anniversary this year. The election-year rhetoric has made me think a lot about Cuba and what transpired there. In the late 1950s, most Cubans thought Cuba needed a change, so when a young leader came along, every Cuban was at least receptive.
When the young leader spoke eloquently and passionately and denounced the old system, the press fell in love with him. They never questioned who his friends were or what he really believed in. When he said he would help the farmers and the poor and bring free medical care and education to all, everyone followed. When he said he would bring justice and equality to all, everyone said, ‘Praise the Lord.’ And when the young leader said, ‘I will be for change and I’ ll bring you change,’ everone yelled, ‘Viva Fidel!’
But nobody asked about the change, so by the time the executioner’s guns went silent, the people’s guns had been taken away. By the time everyone was equal, they were equally poor, hungry, and oppressed. By the time everyone received their free education, it was worth nothing. By the time the press noticed, it was too late, because they were now working for him. By the time the change was finally implemented, Cuba had been knocked down a couple of notches to Third-World status. By the time the change was over, more than a million people had taken to boats, rafts, and inner tubes. You can call those who made it ashore anywhere else in the world the most fortunate Cubans. And now I’m back to the beginning of my story.
Luckily, we in America would never fall for a young leader who promised change without asking, what change? How will you carry it out? What will it cost America ?
Would we?

More tea leaves……..this letter still gives me hope. Here is a letter to delegates talking about restoring full votes to Mich and Fla. First there is information about Hillary asked for these votes to be restored FIRST, then a link to the precious letter second. About how Hillary supports letter to restore votes……..
The tea leaf says, Hillary does the right thing at the first opportunity with the experience and courage of a leader.
Later, precious follows her, as in the debates when he thinks it’s best for him.
Other than Hillary doing this for the obvious reasons of it being what she knows is right, could she also be sending this letter and posting it on her website to let delegates know she is the wise decision, the leader?
RASMUSSEN POLL (stealth attack)
I just called Rasmussen to respond to today’s poll showing support for HRC as BO’s VP declined from June. (The survey question asked was simply, would you support HRC as BO’s VP? So, I called Rasmussen. Very calmly and politely, I pointed out that this poll might mislead people into thinking, HRC had dropped in popularity when the opposite is true. That is, at least with several of my friends and me, at one point, we might have considered that if BO won the nomination for President, we wanted HRC to be the VP; but we have learned so much about him since then that we don’t want her anywhere near a ticket BO is on. So her numbers in your poll could reflect that his support has declined. Thank you.
Well folks, it’s time for me to get out of here as well.
GREAT (with a Tony the tiger growl) working with you all today.
On Hillary’s chat tomorrow – is it possible she wants to feel her supporters out about accepting the vice president’s spot? Since he’s going nowhere, he needs a shot from her and she said they were still in negotiations. Andy Lanny Davis is everywhere promoting it. I know how we feel about it but if she seemed to want it, what would we say?
NOOOOOOO…Big cat Lover this will be my end…my heart will NOT be able to stand it. PLEASE Hillary don’t bend over, don’t stoop–tell them HECK NO!!
President or POOF!
Thanks BigCatLover and SunnyPA — that’s a huge help!

Just leave the To part blank. It will go through.
Well I had my foot cut open today so I have to have foot up all day so now I am at the computer with foot propped up so I have nothing else to do but be on computer cuz I can’t walk so this kind of sucks but I get to talk to everyone and it gets me out of making dinner. Did my prowls today.
Today’s prowls done. Getting messages back that some boxes are full.
Wonder how that happens? Tee Hee
I will support Hillary no matter what road she goes down. If it’s VP, okay…maybe he will be impeached and she will be President.
If he appoints her leader in the Universal Health Care plan, I will go with her there too. I have a son with a chronic illness without health insurance……I know many people in the same boat, I will do what ever to get that passed.
Don’t pounce on me PUMAs, that is the way it is and will be for me and no one can change my mind on this. Without these two choices, I will help take him down in a blaze of glory.

“I can neither watch nor read Roland Martin. However, at your suggestion, I did go the site and left this comment: PUMA.”
I’m with you on that sentiment. I can’t stand to listen or read anything that Roland Martin says or writes. Jamal is another CNN pundit that I cannot tolerate. But before BO supporters call me a racist — let me point out that I absolutely adore Sean Williams and another black gentlemen that I always see on FOX (but his name escapes me). These two men definitely are intelligent and understand the bigger picture.

Hey Pumas,
saw Obama in Indiana, giving his better than thou speech,Is it me,or are his crowd’s getting smaller and smaller? Did ya’ll see the video on the heckler, i believe in Fl. at another speech? You can clearly tell that it was all put on by his campaign. When the heckler told Obama that at town hall meetings your suppost to do the pledge.Obama goes,”o did we not do the pledge? well lets do it know”. ALL FAKE

I agree Lady by The Lake
Nothing that happens around Obama is not planned, staged, manipulated.
These Chicago politicians are the filthiest, rotten to the core bunch I have seen in control of a lot of people and resources. I never thought that in my lifetime, it would come to this in this nation.
I know we all have right on our side, but these people are not above using the dirtiest tricks in the book to manipulate the masses. What do they resort to when that is n
