For Zee, who told a crowd of rich people attending an Obama Fundraiser last night, “Democracy is not something I intend to ‘Just get over.’”
Zee went all by herself to Boston to hold a homemade sign on the sidewalk outside Barack Obama’s fundraiser last night. Her sign was yellow with black lettering. It read “Selected Not Elected.” After holding her sign for half an hour or so she was accosted by a young man who accused her of harassment of the well-heeled Bostonians tottering into the party.
“He thought it would be cute to call me Puta. After that, these young guys are thinking ha-ha-ha this one guy is calling her an idiot so we can gang up on this lone woman and that’s when the other kids moved in and just surrounded. They grabbed my sign and tore it up and threw it in the street. They called me racist, whore, and bitch.
This old, muscled, tatooed veteran with a cane came to my rescue. He broke up the mob and faced them down. He said, ‘How old are you?’ to the young guys attacking me. ‘You don’t know anything. Don’t tell me you know anything!’ He hobbled off after the young men dispersed.
This other man came up to me and said, ‘Thanks for making a spectacle of yourself. Thanks for being a model of grace and modesty.’ He was pretending to be nice.
Afterward, there was this young guy, and he came up to me and put his arm around me and just said ‘Thank you.’ He was just someone who was watching. I said, ‘You’re going to make me cry. And he said, ‘No, I’m serious. THANK YOU’”

I’m stating the obvious here…but desperate people do desperate things. The Obama “movement.hype brigade” is desperate and the dupees are angry…as well they should be.
I would suggest no Puma protest on their own. At the very least be accompanied by a friend with a video camera even if they will not participate in a protest so any abuse is fully documented.

I have been off line all day because I was at the eye doctor and had my eyes dilated. Here is an email I just wrote to Hillary:
Dear Senator Clinton,
Today I got a glimpse, in person, of the impact your candidacy for President of the United States has had on people.
I had a doctor’s appointment and during the appointment my doctor asked if my family had done anything fun this summer. I told her that my daughter was a Hillary Clinton delegate at the state level so she went to Spokane, Washington with my husband to the State Convention.
My doctor put down my medical file, leaned against the counter, and said, “I voted for Hillary in the primary.” And then she looked so sad. I proceeded to inform her that you had not released your delegates, that there are many people working to ensure you are nominated in Denver, and that the Democratic nominee for President of the United States has not been elected yet.
She brightened up. In fact, as I was leaving the office she shouted down the hallway, “I will be waiting and watching for the Convention!”
The look on her face as she yelled down the hallway to me was inspiring. I know how your candidacy has impacted me, my family, and the hard working supporters that I am working with to ensure your name is entered into nomination. What I had not seen before was the impact the knowlegde of your nomination would have on someone. I have been working with the Puma Pac since June 3, 2008 and I think I have gotten used to our commitment. I realize now that we are fighting also for those people who are silent and who do not know all the facts about the primary.
YOU are the President of the United States for the 21st century. YOU are the voice of the voters. I urge you to sign the necessary paperwork to put your name into nomination in Denver. For me, my daughter, my doctor, and all the other silent voices that were saddened two months ago.

I just could not bear the thought of Obama the birthday boy coming into town, in sight of Faneuil Hall, and no one taking a stand.
Make no mistake. I made a nuisance out of myself. I was loud. And when they sniffed that I was loud and making a nuisance of myself, I replied, “Oh that democracy! It’s such a nuisance!”
In fact, a police man told me, if you harass people they have a right to defend themselves. And he warned me what they might do. And added that he didn’t want to have to file a report. I told him I knew what he meant.
That I’d actually been hit before for haranguing people at protests, but not to worry, I wouldn’t be filing any report.
He took me at my word, I guess, because nary a policeman stepped in when I was surrounded.
Nor did any news outlet film me until the incident broke out…and even after they filmed it, no one interviewed anyone to get the story.

There were plenty of people filming me during the incident, but they were also applauding it. So expect some sneering youtubes to show up!
One more note…an older Obama supporter came to me with tape and helped me tape my sign back together. He did not agree with me but agreed with my right to my personal property and expression! Of course, he lectured me the entire time he was helping me, saying I should not confront people! But….because of him I was later able to hold up my tattered sign when Obama drove right by me in his motorcade!!

Hi there! Regarding the change in Voter Registration Form. The new VOTER ID list me as INDEPENDENT. I went back and looked at the Pennsylvania Voter Registration Application and it list 4 choices for me to choose from. Question states: In which Party do you wish to Register:
Democrat
Republican
Other (Please Specify)
No Affiliation
I chose Other and wrote (Independent) I received the new VOTER ID card which as I mentioned before states that I am an Independent. I think your form was slightly different because it has “American Independent Party” versus mine which has “other (please specify)” Hopefully, I chose the correct box. I will definitely double check just to be sure. If anyone lives in PA who can answer this, please do so. Thanks!

OK….harrassment is one of those “catch all” statutes. A harrassement allegation usually requires that a reasonable person be in fear of physical harm. Each state has particular language, but that’s the legal definition in most jurisdictions.
Unless Zee actually threatened to do X, or said if you don’t do X then I will do Y, or appeared (reasonably) to be unstable and ready to “snap” a case for harrassment is baloney.

You would love it! The greenery is beautiful. LOTS of mountains and ocean all over the island. I was happy I moved here in 1971. If I can’t live in my own country, this is the closest I get to it because of the way of life here. I was raised in Miami and then moved to New York. Then I discovered PR and loved it! I loved NY also but I couldn’t take the cold weather any more.

One must not protest alone, under any circumstances, and especially not a woman, at night. Believe me, I am a fighter, but it is not safe.
Let’s all keep this in mind when there is a protest or a demonstration: Do not go alone, and always try to show up with a buddy, in CASE anyone MIGHT be alone out there. Do try to bring video cameras and regular cameras as well.
Other than that: No ONE is allowed to touch you or your belongings (ripping a sign). If even your fingers got touched, it is assault.

The police man is wrong. No one has a “right” to defend themselves in any manner that is physical unless their own physicality is threatened or harmed.
If a police officer sees that a person is getting ganged up on and they do not disperse the crowd, then they can be partially accountable for any damage done, since they were a witness to it and bound by their oath to serve and protect.
Basically: Know the law, ’cause some cops don’t know it, and some of them don’t follow it. AND, you never know who they are voting for….just something to think about.

These would be the younth vote of urban/suburban New York…young blacks/latinos of mainstream long island.

I just want to say despite all the jeering, many earnest people, young people, tourists, all types, came up and asked me what my sign meant. I spoke at length, quietly, to them…and also explained why it was so difficult to get all these points across because people are so underinformed.
My proudest moment (and believe me, not all the moments are proud when you are beset from all sides) but the moment I was most collected was when a reporter from WBUR insisted that Hillary “knew” that the votes from MI and FL would not count. I told him, that is misinformation that YOU in the media are spreading. Hillary “knew” no such thing. She always was for people’s votes counting. What she agreed to was not *campaigning* in Florida and Michigan.
I explained further, but I saw his eyes glaze over and I know he won’t let his willful ignorance be debunked on air. He wandered back to two women who were huffing about “Hillary supporters” who just “can’t get over it” and exchanged business cards with them.

My mother was a teacher and my grandparents from Spain so I was also taught to speak correctly, especially by my mom. The problem is that Cubans in Miami speak a mixture of spanish and english. My cousins speak mostly english when they get together and their children hardly learned spanish. But when I visit Miami, I always correct them just like my mom did to me! I am happy being able to communicate in both languages since I love them both.

So I go onto HRC’s website this morning to see Obama’s letter about the MI & FL delegates was posted yesterday under “News Releases.”
I got really really really really excited, because Hillary is going to need those delegates votes to count 100 percent if she is to have an easier time winning the nomination.
Ladyhawk immediately quashes my excitement w/a “so what, it’s just Obama talking” comment. I think one or two other people commented about it on the whole post today.
Nobody excited at the potential, everybody crying like the glass is empty.
I am glad I did not have time to look at the Blog until now, because I had a great day just thinking about the fact Hillary can get all her votes to count.
But tonight, you guys burst my bubble, big time. However, I did notice one of you was not able to post after dismissing my post, and what I perceive is a crucial piece of the election process (MI & FL) now coming back into play.
What is it everybody wants to continually cry about Obama…instead of look up the road at how we are going to help Hillary get elected?

I was thinking, would it do any good to target one business nationally for a day? Hit them with fliers and such. Say Starbucks or AT&T. Maybe we can start a buzz in the company we choose. Get all the employees talking.

More importantly than this MI / FL discussion - which I will get to in a minute - is that sometimes in our haste to post a reply we don’t realize we might be raining on somebody’s parade. In the interests of problem solving and brainstorming I suggest we all try to self-censor a little bit so that when we disagree with someone else, our comment doesn’t come across as “forget it, it’s no big deal,” but rather, “hmm, I hadn’t thought about it that way.”

RE: FL / MI - my take on it is that Obama is now uncomfortably facing the realization that he needs to be careful and not disenfranchise all those voters, cause his poll showings are really, really weak.
Meanwhile our Hillary is getting herself ready to make the case of her life: “WHY I’M THE BEST CANDIDATE TO LEAD OUR PARTY TO VICTORY IN NOVEMBER.”
When the Open Rollcall happens, she’s going to need the FL & MI delegates in her column.

Today I went to get my mail at the PO because I’ve been on vacation. Outside the Post Office was a young 20-something woman wearing an Obama button asking people “are you registered to vote?” (I’m wondering if it’s legal to use govt property & campaign for someone but maybe it is).
Anyway she looked directly at me so I looked directly back and said “I’m already registered, and I’m voting for Hillary Clinton.”
So she laughs (guffaws) in my face, then I went inside.
But after I got my mail, I had the last laugh. I went to my car & pulled out a stack of color Obama flyers and left them in 3 different places around the Post Office! Would have been funny to have been there & seen the look on her face when she saw them… ;D

Where does that miserable misfit think ordinary citizens are going to get the money to pay for his mismanagement of state funds? My expenses are already escalating rapidly while my income declines.

I also gave him a piece of my mind about his wasteful spending and bad decisions. When I begged him for help fighting the illegal conduct in my Workers’ Comp claim, he refused. What should have been a nothing injury has already cost my county more than $30,000, not including legal expenses, because of all the illegal and bad-faith conduct. And I’m left with permanent damaged to my knee.

I believe that the DNC already knows Obama has lost the election. He maintains just a slight lead over McCain and that is probably because the GOP is letting him. The GOP and McCain are building their resources together and hold similar cash on hand, more than the DNC/Obama combined. Obama flashes his big bucks while the DNC is scraping by. He is not bragging about his July gross receipts so I’m guessing he did not do so well. He probably spent most of his receipts trying to get some bounce going. It didn’t happen. Restoring the FL/MI votes will not fool anyone either. They need to kick that bum to the curb.

B.H.O is coming to Austintown, Ohio (next to Youngstown, Ohio) and will be at Fitch High School at 9:00 a.m. today. 2,500 hundred tickets were handed out and all tickets are gone now. NO signs are allowed so people are writing on their shirts to get their messages out. Gov. Strickland and Sherrod Brown are going to be here too. I’ll be watching local news to see if there are any PUMA protesters. Will let you all know.

My comments on the update on NoName’s birth certificate:
If he’s not a U.S. citizen, then he was never qualified to be an Illinois State Senator, a U.S. Senator, and certainly not the President of the U.S.
Marrying Michelle Robinson, a U.S. Citizen, did not qualify him either. He would have had to apply for a green card and go through many years of steps to become a citizen. There doesn’t seem to be any evidence that he did that. And even if he did, he would not have been granted citizenship until long after he was elected to the Illinois Senate.
In order to attend college, get married, drive a car, get a passport, he would have to have some kind of positive ID that he was indeed a U.S. Citizen. So why all of the mystery??
Could it be that other documents were forged? Interesting……..
Congratulations to Murphy for all her efforts that have paid off many times over. This whole movement would not have happened if she hadn’t stepped up to the plate. Thank you Murphy.

I have a 27 year old daughter who is a nurse and is now going back to school to get her BSN, and a 21 year old daughter who is a history major with a music minor, in her senior year. My older daughter has a child, Lilith, who is 4 1/2.
These are my motivation. I want them to grow up in The United States of America, not some worn down facist state. I would give my life to make sure my country and my family have the right to be free. This isn’t about just who do we like the best. It is about our nation’s very life.

I doubt anything too serious is ever going to come out about him, we’ve seen so much that should have made him more questionable than he is. But he glides straight through it. Unfortunately, nothing will matter to his followers, he’s the teflon man.
He has backers that know the dirty ins and outs of concealing identities, creating false documents, removing problems before they become problems, creating a false paper trail. His group of insiders range from religious to crime lords to slum lords. He has his own little chicago mafia to protect him.
I am 100% certain we will see a “real” birth certificate emerge right after his trip to Hawaii. Just as we will see a “real” passport from him as well. Now, it is more than obvious in my mind that the breach of the three passports earlier in the year was nothing other than a cover up so his passport could be adjusted, or created. The illegal viewing of Clinton’s and McCain’s were nothing more than red herrings.

You know my younger daugher Beth as MakawashiNatusko. She blogged a while this weekend. I am very proud of her. She has overcome severe dyslexia to become an honor student. When she was in second grade, we were told by her public school that she was severely retarded and would never accomplis anything of note.
We took her to a neurologist who specialized in learning disabilities and got a correct diagnosis. I home schooled her and we put into place a program designed by our medical team.
Music therapy was a key to her success. She learned to play 11 instruments and to sing as part of her therapy. She has written a long manga, is working on a novel, several papers in school that got very good reviews, has researched many history projects, and is still going strong. Her hard work and determination have made the difference.

Nah, Rezko is waiting for Bo to be handed the Presidency so Bo can pardon him.
I’m not being pessimistic, I’m trying to look at everything realistcially, because its better to fight the worse case scenario than to fight dreams.
And when we fight the worse case scenario we will be very successful. We’ve made great progress so far, and SD’s are taking a second look, Hillary will be on the ticket and placed in nomination, and the Bo supporters are worried, this much is obvious in how although their numbers have reduced, their attacks have increased. I call that beginning to grasp at straws. And they are stupidly showing us how worried they are about us.
As, I mentioned on the weekend, I checked out a few on the blogs and website not supporting Bo. and absolutely zero of them are as active as Murphy’s PAC. They do not even come close to the membership, organization and Actions we have here. (Thanks to Murphy, Maryland and Mama)
That made me feel better about the differences of opinions here. Because of course we have more opinions and disagreements than any other, we are easily 40 to 50 times larger, if not more. And that knowledge, made me sleep like a baby last night.

His age probably has something to do with it. So does his race. But the polls and focus groups suggest that people aren’t dismissive of Obama or hostile to him. Instead, they’re wary and uncertain.

Thank you all for your concern last night. We had a tornado hit in Griffith, Indiana. My husband was right in the shopping center that got hit. He is a driver for a hotel, and he had a bus load of people, he said he went into the kmart, because everybody was hollering and screaming, not knowing what to do. He got them all to the back of the store, and then went to make sure everyone in the shopping center was ok. He said he knows we are truely blessed, because it went right over his bus, and no one was hurt. I have been up all night, as the storms knocked out power and continued thru the night. I am at work now…..exhausted, but fine.

The real truth about the Jester and his energy policies: He has vested interest in ethanol. He made a statement that went totally untouched by the media last summer. He said if we took off the gas tax that the prices would just go down, and the consumer would not continue to look for and accept alternative energy sources. Some people did say a thing or two about his ethanol connections, but it went away in a very short time, probably less than a day.
Ethanol alone is not our solution. The ag community wants it to be, but it won’t solve all our problems, and it is expensive. The price of gasoline has to stay above $3.50 per gallon for ethanol to be a viable alternative. Someone heavily invested in ethanol would want gas prices to stay up to that level.

We can now identify the woman’s name that appears on the phony Barack Obama Certificate of Live Birth (aka COLB). It is Barack’s sister, Maya Kassandra Soetoro. Credit for the discovery goes to TechDude. And the woman who has pursued this story relentlessly, Texas Darlin, has done it and has the story. She’ll post the full story here later today.
Here’s the simple summary–an authentic COLB was used as a template to create the so-called “birth certificate” that was first posted at Daily Kos and the official Barack Obama campaign site. Why doesn’t Barack come clean with his own, genuine Certificate of Live Birth? We do not know for sure but it appears that the name listed is that of BARRY SOETORO. Barry Obama was adopted by Lolo Soetoro and, by virtue of that adoption, was registered as Barry Soetoro in Hawaii.
Barry aka Barrack has some “splaining” to do (to quote Ricky Ricardo).

What was the subtext when Donna Brazile said she was “offended as an African-American” over the “fairy tale” statement?
Forget subtext when Senator Obama, in his much heralded speech on Race, immortalized Gerry Ferraro (and Grandma) as the immoral equivalent of Reverend Wright.
After the Media opined endlessly on the % of Black Democratic Primary voters in SC and how that might affect the Primary, it was Bill Clinton who was excoriated for correctly pointing out that his friend, Jesse Jackson, had also done well there. Like saying that women voted for Hillary in NH because they felt sorry for her, this is called Spin. When one campaign is allowed to Spin and the other is not, that is an unfair advantage.
Senator McCain knew what was coming and he waited for the opportune moment to pounce. But for Obama to call this “cynical” is really the pot calling the kettle…(my apologies). Hillary had to conduct her campaign wearing high heels in a mine field. McCain has signaled he won’t fall for this.
There was much discussion this morning about Bill Clinton’s ABC interview and how he still has resentment from the campaign. All the “heads” thought he was a whiner, a baby, ego-maniacal, machiavellian because his legacy was being usurped, his star dimmed, his fame relegated to distant history. No. He blames the Obama campaign for his alienation from the Black community, which he felt a part of and which he deeply loves. His soul is wounded and he cannot hide this. Hillary is also profoundly sad, but she has always been stronger and more disciplined than Bill.
This will be the fall-out from the campaign. The spurious cries of Racism have awakened resentments not seen or felt in decades. Columns like yours and particularly Bob Herbert’s from yesterday do your candidate no favors. Harold Ford gets it. Someday, I hope to have the honor to vote for him. But there will be no unity with a President Obama.

Gary Mauro handled it well. He (my paraphrasing} stated you don’t change the process. You have a floor vote like every other time. He plans on voting for Hillary 1st vote. Than after that as he feels Obama is the nominee they can unanimously support Obama

I don’t know the exactl size of freakin ones, but I think they’re 5 4 -5 in x 12-15. You can google “bumpersticker templates” and that should give you the range. Most printer companies (kinkos?) should also be able to tell you.

I know I’m posting hours after you made your comment late last night and I’m sure others have explained our position (haven’t been able to go through all the posts yet), but what we were upset about and emailing the florida dem party about was their glee at getting their full votes back from BO. It was kind of bizarre. And make no mistake, he is only doing this because it will benefit him or he thinks it will. He now needs their votes to win the general election and I’m sure he thinks HRC has fallen in line. We have not!

I just phoned with Dean’s office to ask if Hillary’s name will be placed in nomination. The guy said, “If she wants it to be, and even if she doesn’t, her delegates can put her name in. There will be no changes to how we run the convention.”
Is this the same or different from what you all were told yesterday?

yes — that is a slightly different response. Yesterday the only thing the DNC would say is that there would be a roll call. A roll call vote without a formal nomination of Senator Clinton is merely symbolism. Without nomination, Clinton’s delegates’ votes for her in the roll call are recorded merely as “present”

Aloha suggested Obama’s ‘thugs’ may have been trained. In a way, they probably are.
For one thing, look at where Obama claims to be from—the Southside of chicago. Now if you’ve been to Chicago you know that place is not high on a tourist’s list of sites to visit. It’s a mean place, high in poverty. Driving by Cabrini Green gves you an idea.
Obama seems to attract either the yuppie types, or the ghetto folks. The yuppies are the ones who attack us and support Precious on MSM and the ghetto people will attack any way and place they think they can get away with it.
But, like I am fond of saying, Truth and Love are the only two things in life that never need defending. And in the end will conquer all.

#38 kai….American Independent Party…mmm…has a nice ring to it. It occurs to me that the Independent Party now has more members than either the Republican or Democratic party.
This could become the “third” party folks. Americans are already familiar with Independents and it now has more members than the two corrupt old standbys we currently have. We should find out what it would take to make this an official party of the United States.
Seriously, consider it. (And an official party would have to nominate a presidential contender….you see where this is going, right?) Maybe this idea could grow legs and possibly even go viral?
