Oh, Wendell! You’ve been reincarnated!

“Wendell Lewis Willkie (February 18, 1892 – October 8, 1944) was a corporate lawyer in the United States and the Republican Party (GOP) nominee for the 1940 presidential election, despite having never held a prior elected political office.

Although Willkie in 1940 received more votes than any previous GOP candidate (22.3 million votes), he lost to Franklin D. Roosevelt in an Electoral College landslide: 449 to 82, carrying ten states.[source]

Polls show Obama losing to McCain nationally. That’s a 10-point reversal of fortune for The Precious in 3 weeks (3 weeks in which the world was forced to be audience to the Biggest Ego Trip Evah! and the fawning adulation of 200,000 75,000 screaming German teenagers). The new Democrats in the West seem to have disappeared with the tumbleweeds; turning red states blue now seems like the fevered fanatasy of a starry-eyed college girl in an ivy-league tower; Ohio is not looking so hot; and from what we hear, the Obama Campaign in Pennsylvania is getting DESPERATE! Really turning the screws on Hillary’s delegates to fall in line and start delivering their counties to The One. There are now more Independents and Republicans than Democrats reigstered to vote in this country, and the crucial Undecideds are leaning heavily McCain. Hey Axelrod, what happened to the magic?

You can’t fool all of the people all of the time Barack. Now, who said that? Oh yeah, this guy:

Goodevening ALL PUMA’s~

URGENT! PLEASE FORWARD THE FOLLOWING INFO IN EMAILS AND URGE IT TO BE PASSED ON~ i DONT KNOW IF IT HAS BEEN POSTED ALREADY, BUT IT IS IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO BE POSTED AGAIN FOR THOSE WHO MAY HAVE MISSED IT~

Call Congress Back

Dear Friend,

Last Friday, the United States House of Representatives, under Democrat Leadership, adjourned for a 5-week vacation. Normally, no one would raise an eyebrow; however, when the Democrats left, they did so without passing any form of energy legislation. They have left for over a month without doing anything to help lower gas prices. That means we’ll see another month of inaction on the energy crisis.

The Democrats left, they turned off the lights, they turned off the cameras and they turned off the microphones. But, House Republicans did not leave. That’s right, House Republicans are still here, talking to the American people, demanding that House Democrats come back and ease the increasing burdens on families. Republicans are fighting so that the American people are not left high and dry.

Now, we need your help. Join us by signing this petition to call on the Democrat Leadership to return to Washington, DC, to pass a bill that will increase American energy supply, open up offshore drilling and eliminate our reliance on foreign oil.

This is supposed to be the People’s House. It’s unfortunate that the Democrats don’t see it that way.

Sign the Petition at http://www.CallCongressBack.com today.

Regards,

Eric Cantor
United States Congressman

P.S. Sign the petition to Call Congress Back to lower the price of gas.

One of my clients is in her 90′s, and she is a big Hillary fan. According to her, those boys in Washington are scared of her, and the ladies are jealous. “She’s a pip that one, smart, good looking, and she has it.” When I asked her what “it” is, she looked at me and said “You know it when you see it, and she has IT.” Made me laugh, Hillary is the IT GIRL for sure…

#50 ABinNY on 08.04.08 at 9:57 pm

What petition are you all signing?

#51 slyt2 on 08.04.08 at 9:57 pm

GRRRRRRRR I can’t stand when Colmes does that, he didn’t even let the guest talk about the book on BO. He asked him a question then didn’t even let him answer just kept talking, I think Nancy P needs to come back to work and Colmes needs another vacation!

#52 Middle age female on 08.04.08 at 9:58 pm

I had to laugh. Hannity said to Lanny, you know what I told you about Hillary as VP, and Lanny said yea “Get over it”. Hannity, said what I really said was you need therapy. LOL

#53 BillieJo on 08.04.08 at 9:59 pm

Can you guys give a recap of what Lanny Davis says. My PC can’t get the plug in because my windows is less than legit, and my Mac at work won’t let me put things on it unless the It guys know first…and that isn’t going to happen.

#54 jenniforhillary on 08.04.08 at 9:59 pm

little democratic party gossip–the OFFICIAL Democratic website blog has been CENSORED and anyone not for BO has been thrown off the site (maybe the left 2-3 mild posters)….guess this is not sitting well with many of the regulars…

Now, the Kicking Ass (their words) Blog is just all BHO 24/7…..

SCARY….really really sad too!

#55 SunnyPA on 08.04.08 at 10:00 pm

From NoQuarter yesterday:
Hillary Clinton will be personally handed the results of the IOwnMyVote platform survey, along with a complete list of all of us who have completed the survey. This platform effort is deeply important to Hillary. Hillary is not the only key person who will personally receive a copy. Charlie Rangel and Sheila Jackson Lee will also receive copies, delivered directly into their hands. They will all lobby the Platform Committee on our behalf.

It is also vital that all of you who can get to Pittsburgh next weekend (August 9-10, 2008), do so. The Platform Committee will be meeting at Pittsburgh’s convention center. We will have precise times and the meeting room location for you very soon.

Here’s more info:

Freedom of Pittsburgh ballroom
3rd Floor
David L Lawrence Convention Center
9 am Saturday Aug 9th

Organizers are working on housing – some of the housers during the primary offered again and one of the downtown hotels will give HRC supporters the same discounted rate they extended during the primary too.

More details forthcoming.

Please email me at PowlSunny@gmail.com if you are planning to attend.

It took six organizers four hours to get this info. At first the DNC denied the meeting. Finally, a persistent caller got the info. The meeting is open to the public…at least, it’s supposed to be.

The DNC does not want us there.

south jersey puma – thanks for that post and the link to the petition.

…meanwhile…

that letter from the fla dem chair really has me burning. ruined my entire walk. thought of another letter. here it is if anyone wants to take it, no charge. (I’m not sure if I got her name spelled correclty, if it’s thurman or thurmon, better check):

Dear Chairman Thurman:

You may be disappointed to learn that not all Democrats are suffering from short term memory loss. I, for one, remember quite clearly that is was Senator Clinton and not Senator Obama, who championed the cause of having the entire Florida delegation seated at the convention with full votes. In fact, Senator Obama was not even neutral about it. He was against it, citing “rules”. Apparently, his predisposition to claiming that rules trump the basic ideals of democratic processes infects all that he does, from the tragedy of what he did to Alice Palmer through to today.

Now you write with gushing praise about Senator Obama’s generous, visionary, unifying call for the entire Florida delegation to be seated at the convention.
Perhaps you and others at the DNC are suffering some kind of short term memory loss. I’d recommend you make an appointment as soon as possbile to check that out with your doctor.

I know that I, for one, am thinking clearly and have a clean bill of health.

With all the rhetoric about President Clinton – and I still believe that he deserves that title – I am an African-American educator who appreciates all that the Clintons have done for all Americans – including people of color. All of this rhetoric about him being a racist is just that – rhetoric. I believe that we need to stop nip-picking and realize that in the heat of a political campaign that, of course, he wanted his wife to win, they all say things that are misconstrued. So what – Jesse Jackson DID win the primary in South Carolina. President Clinton, you are still loved by most African-Americans.
Peace and goodwill to him.

Hi everyone- good to catch up on what appears to have been a very busy and bizarre day on the blog!
just wanted to weigh in on an experience I had over the weekend.
I went to visit an elderly neighbor of mine in a nursing home. He is in the Alzheimer’s unit but still quite lucid at time. He was a political science professor in his hey-day at Ohio State University.
He was commenting on Bo and said “Does he know that he standing on the edge of a very dark world? It is one thing for him to want to be president, it’s another for him to be so selfish. Even with his arrogance,he has to know that with no experience, there is no way he can handle this job right now. How dare he risk our lives for his ego gratification?”
I thought that pretty profound from someone who is losing his mind rapidly.

Whatever happened to the concept of servant-leadership? We seek to serve, and then become leaders in the process? Oh-oh- hope servant leadership cannot be construed as racist….lol

I think what is on the table are all of the alternative energy avenues. Supposedly, it is suppose to open the doors for solar, wind, nuclear, etc. The only thing I’ve heard so much about lately concerns the Wind – no wind, no power – still has to have backup generators. Does anyone have them where they live?

Organizers are working on housing – some of the housers during the primary offered again and one of the downtown hotels will give HRC supporters the same discounted rate they extended during the primary too.

More details forthcoming.

Please email me at ProwlSunny@gmail.com if you are planning to attend and/or have more info regarding this event.

I suspect the repub motive here, this seems too much like one of their stunts. I don’t like Pelosi anymore than most of us do, but I won’t help the repubs bamboozle the country to make more money on oil. Just give it some thought before you sign.

A reminder about a suggestion from Ricki Lieberman yesterday…..write Rasmusssen, Gallop and Quinnipiac and get them to start including Hillary’s name in their questions. Unquestionably, the Superdelegates would then have to see who is more electable and come to their senses – since their ONLY job is to vote for the most electable Democrat…..duh….I can’t find my original post from last night. Murphy, can you find it? It had email addresses, faxes and phone numbers. Thx.

Hillary Clinton is a much more powerful figure in Democratic Politics WITH THE VOTERS than Obama and the DNC currently are. And they know it.
Americans are many things and are far from perfect. But we do have a basic sense of fairness and of right from wrong and, in many people’s eyes, what Obama and the Media obviously did to Hillary and Bill was wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong. And I think it still rubs people the wrong way.

And then you have a still very popular President asserting he’s NOT a racist on Morning TV immediately after Obama was caught red-handed playing the Race Card against his opponent — AGAIN!!! — and people still wonder why his poll numbers are, at best, anemic when they should be strong?

But, hey, Axelrod and Obama, Donna and Dean made this bed. Now they get to lie in it.

#149 john on 08.04.08 at 10:48 pm

McCain gained 20% and Obama lost 16% among voters ages 18-29. Obama still leads that group, 49%-38%.
Among women, McCain closed 10 points on Obama, who still leads by a 43%-38% margin.
Obama has lost what was an 11% lead among Independents. He and McCain are now tied.
Obama had some slippage among Democrats, dropping from 83% to 74%.
Obama’s support among single voters dropped by 19%, and he now leads McCain, 51%-37%.
Even with African-Americans and Hispanics, Obama shows smaller margins.

Presidential Campaign Update
by Greta Van Susteren

Note the email I just received….we get these campaign notes all day long:

McCain spoke before nearly 20,000 motorcycle enthusiasts tonight at the Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. No major news, but a couple of notable lines. He noted that Obama recently spoke before nearly 200,000 Berliners, but he would take 50,000 Harley riders over that, anytime. He continued to push his energy methods, saying that he wants to drill for oil now and all Obama want to do is fill up your tires. He also joked that he wanted Cindy to enter the Buffalo Chip Beauty contest, which was going on as he spoke, joking that she can be the only woman who could be both the first lady and Miss Buffalo Chip. He said it would be, “a good sign” if he sees a lot of motorcycles on election day, adding that he hopes November 4th does not find them on the “open road” but in voting booths.

The tape from the event will feed in about two hours.

#161 Vonay on 08.04.08 at 11:02 pm

#183 MountainSong on 08.04.08 at 11:29 pm

I’m so sorry to hear about what happened to you today, Zee. I can relate because I had a similar experience.
First, I thought my day might be in a downturn when it appeared my printer has rebeeled over printing posters and isn’t working right anymore. Then later, this afternoon, I got to talk to some women I haven’t seen for awhile.
I swear, I’ve about HAD IT with all this ‘racist name calling BS’.
Well, my ‘friends’ asked me what I been up to since we last saw each other. Eventually I got around to telling them about my involvement with PUMA, which they had never even heard of. So I did my best to explain about the primaries, and caucuses, how BO was actually selected arbitrarily, against the rules of the Dem Party.
Told em about Murphy and how she started this movement, and what our goals are. aBout how the gen public has been misled and denied the truths about Obama and how MSM is totally biased and perhaps bought and paid for.Showed them a poster, told em about the 18 million, etc.
Invited them to come and check us out and gave em the website addy.
That’s when they attacked. Not physically, but it almost came to that. Accused me of being a deluded racist who just couldn’t accept that Obama was elected by the popular will of the people and that I needed to grow up and accept the realities.
Well, being part native, I got pretty steamed over being called a delusional racist. They called me a few other choice names.
I asked them to just check it out.
I quoted Herbert Spencer: ” There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which cannot fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance—-that principle is contempt prior to investigation.”
Well, they said they were wrong to think I was ever their friend, that i had totally gone over the edge and ‘flipped my script’. I was both angry and hurt and couldn’t stop tears streaming down my face. They just turned and walked away, muttering under their breath.
My God, this election season is tearing the very fabric of our existence and unity as Americans. And I’m very afraid it’s going to get much worse before it gets better and some of us are going to have to defend out positions with more than just words, God forbid. I wish I’d been there to watch your back, Zee.

#184 Lorelai on 08.04.08 at 11:30 pm

Woooooo HOOOOOOOO
Problems Mount for Obama as Democratic Convention Nears
U.S News & World Report
Bonnie Erbe
August 04, 2008
Call it delusional, even fanatical. But a growing Web-based movement of Sen. Hillary Clinton supporters is pressing to have Clinton’s name “placed in nomination” at the Democratic convention in Denver later this month. Some are hoping, as Congressional Quarterly reported, that “if the roll call of the states is conducted, she might—might—still win.”
There was a bit of a media dust-up about this story over the weekend. The New York Daily News cited a source close to Clinton confirming that “she won’t file a formal request to the convention asking to be nominated along with Barack Obama, who eked out the victory in their fierce primary slugfest. ‘She is not going to submit the signed request,’ the insider told the Daily News. ‘People are still circulating petitions on her behalf, but this is a done deal.’ “

Then Congressional Quarterly quoted a spokesperson for Clinton saying something slightly different:

Clinton spokeswoman Kathleen Strand said in a statement Friday that Clinton was “100 percent committed to helping Barack Obama become the next president of the United States and realizes there are passionate feelings that remain among many of her supporters.” Strand said that no decisions have been made (about whether Sen. Clinton’s name should be placed in nomination) but, when they are, “they will be made collaboratively with Senator Clinton and her staff, the DNC and Senator Obama’s campaign.”

Ultimately, the candidate and his top aides get to decide who speaks and when. The Obama campaign has to weigh the potential disturbances Clinton supporters might stage if he denies her a roll-call vote. There are Internet rumblings about a march on or during the convention by disaffected Clinton Democrats.

However unlikely these groups’ chances for success are, the spectacle of continued party disunity must be rattling the cages of Democratic leaders. That, particularly as Obama’s short-lived bounce in the polls (following his travels to the Middle East and Europe in which he appeared to have appointed himself president) has dwindled to nothing.

The bad press has mounted for Obama as this weekend alone he was widely accused of flip-flopping on offshore oil drilling: “Long an opponent of offshore drilling, Sen. Barack Obama offered encouraging words for a bipartisan energy plan that would permit oil drilling within 50 miles of Florida’s west coast,” the St. Petersburg Times reported. And in case you had forgotten, there’s still the issue of how much the Michigan and Florida delegates will get to participate at the Democratic convention.

“Barack Obama, who battled with Hillary Clinton over delegates from Florida and Michigan during the Democratic presidential primary campaign, today urged that delegates from both states be allowed ‘to cast a full vote’ during the party’s convention this month,” Bloomberg reported.

All this brings to mind the Will Rogers quote, “I am not a member of any organized political party. I am a Democrat.”

Happy Belated Birthday Pumas! Sent birthday present [donation] small it may be..but it comes with a huge amount of gratitude and warm wishes for you all. I don’t blog but I read all the post everyday and I am so proud of the Pumas here. I try and participate whenever I can..my husband has health issues and needs my attention most of the day…but I always find time to come to pumapac usually early in the morning and again late at night. I pass on a lot of the information I get here to my family and friends and they pass it on to their friends. My brother in Fla. loved the “Walking Eagle” piece. I go to all the websites and watch all of the utubes posted here and pass them on. I sign the petitions and pass them on also…just signed the Call Back Congress pet…I want to thank you all for all you do here…it is making a huge difference…to me Puma Power means People Power and that would be You!!! My husband chose our puma name…he is a musician [retired] you probably guessed “percussion”. Thanks for reading my post…and Murphy thank you so much for making this all possible. See you all in the mornin hopefully soon with my puma mug in hand.lol

[[ YOu are right Murphy - Kennedy was assassinated - I missed that and so did AARP - how strange…..]]

You might also include in that one, that Robert Kennedy was also assassinated while running as a Candidate for President in 1968; just 5 years after his brother and MLK were assassinated.

1968 is the year that Riots at the Convention took place in Chicago Illinois August 1968 under the control of guess who…. Richard M Daley, one of BHO’s biggest supporters.

So like someone said a few weeks ago, instead of the Convention going to Chicago; this year Chicago is going to the Convention.

Go to,

http://www.howstuffworks.com and do a search for Conventions…. it is very telling and can be compared to what is taking place today. Moreso because BHO is being propelled forward by Ted Kennedy for his family’s legacy.

IMHO

kai – your comment reminded of something i meant to post days ago:

FOR ANYONE PLANNING TO SWITCH FROM DEM TO INDEPENDENT:

When you fill out the voter reg form, DO NOT select “American Independent Party”. Instead, select “I Decline to State a Political Party”. I made the mistake of selecting the first option I mentioned and then discovered it’s a specific party and not one you’d really want to be a member of. To be truly an “independent” voter, you must select the other option. (Though of course, all of these options have implications for how you can or can’t participate in primaries.) An example, by the way, is Joe Lieberman. He is an “independent” not a member of the “AIP”.

Just an fyi. I wound up having to re-register all over again to correct my error.

Hello PUMAs. I am reading the comments about friends and family not happy that we are fighting BO. I have had similar bad experiences. Three of my friends will not talk to me now, and if we talk they only want to argue me out of not voting for BO. They tell me to get over it, that Hillary will not get the nomination. Of course, I speak out and tell them that if they fought with me that she will win. That doesn’t help. But it is clear they will not sway me in my belief that BO must be stopped, and that Hillary is the answer. They were Hillary supporters, and I keep hoping they will change their minds. My husband and I both signed the petition.

Palestinians donate $29,500 to Obama
August 4, 2008
By Aaron Klein

WND – Palestinian brothers inside the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip are listed in government election filings as having donated $29,521.54 to Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign.

The donations would violate election laws, including prohibitions on receiving donations from foreigners and guidelines against accepting more than $2,300 from one individual during a single election, Bob Biersack, a spokesman for the Federal Election Commission, told WND in response to a query.

The contributions also raise numerous questions about the Obama campaign’s lax online donation form, which apparently allows for the possibility of foreign contributions.

Last week, the Atlas Shrugs blog outlined a series of donations in 2007 made to Obama’s campaign from two individuals, Monir Edwan and Hosam Edwan, totaling $29,521.54.

In an online form on Obama’s campaign site, the Edwans listed their street as “Tal Esaltan,” which they wrote was located in “Rafah, GA.”

Rafah is not a city in Georgia. The Atlas blog immediately raised concerns that the money may have been donated from the Gaza Strip town of Rafah.

The Edwans’ donations are listed in both FEC filings and other election filing sites, such as CampaignMoney and donordata.org.

Monir made 20 donations ranging from $717 to $2017.50 from October through November 2007. His donations totaled $24321.41. Hosam made seven donations ranging from $508.63 to $1725.96, totaling $5,200.13, all in October 2007.

A WND investigation tracked down the Edwans, who are brothers living in the Tal Esaltan neighborhood of Rafah, a large refugee camp in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.

The Edwans are a large clan that include top Hamas supporters.

Speaking to WND, the two brothers praised Obama and admitted giving the money online to his campaign. They said they are not U.S. citizens or green card holders but are citizens of “Palestine.”

The Edwans denied they are affiliated with Hamas. Palestinian sources in Gaza confirmed the Edwans in question are secular, but could not say whether they supported Hamas.

Monir and Hasam Edwan denied their financial transactions online – listed as donations in U.S. government election filings – were actual donations to Obama’s campaign. Instead they claimed they purchased about $30,000 in Obama T-shirts from the presidential candidate’s online store – a contention that did not hold up during a WND interview, when they changed their story several times.

“My brother Hosam and I knew that Obama will be a big hit even before he became a candidate. We knew the guy would be a celebrity in Gaza so we decided to invest the amount of $29,000 to buy Obama T-shirts from his website and sell them in Gaza,” Monir Edwan told WND, speaking by cell phone from Gaza.

“I know on the back of this story Obama rivals will present our business as a donation and they will try to use this story to let Obama fall, but I’m telling you, we bought T-shirts,” Edwan maintained.

Edwan said any profit made from purportedly selling the Obama T-shirts was not returned to the Obama campaign.

“We have nothing to do with the Obama campaign. We just like Obama and believe he will be the best for the Palestinians and for the world.”

At first Monir Edwan claimed he sold the T-shirts in Gaza for around $9 and that a profit was made.

“Some young men even bought the T-shirts for 60 shekel ($17.29), which is a lot to spend in Gaza on a T-shirt, but that is how much Gazans like Obama,” Edwan claimed.

But it was pointed out to Edwan the T-shirts for sale on Obama’s website are listed as $20.08 and that selling the merchandise for less would not yield a profit.

“Maybe we sold the shirts for a lot more. I can’t remember now,” said Edwan.

Asked why he would purchase T-shirts at such a high rate and pay the cost of shipping when he could pay a company to produce T-shirts for less, Edwan replied, “We wanted the shirts to come from the campaign.”

But Edwan could not explain how he managed to get shipments of T-shirts into the Gaza Strip during the months he claimed to have purchased the merchandise, since Israel imposed a tight closure of the Gaza Strip starting in June 2007 that lasted until June 2008, when the Israeli government agreed to a cease-fire with Hamas in Gaza.

“We don’t want to cause any damage to Obama’s campaign,” was Edwan’s reply.

Edwan said he wants Obama to be president.

“Not just the people in Gaza but people from all over the world are rooting for this great man,” he told WND.

FEC spokesman Biersack told WND contributions from overseas are allowed if the donations are coming from U.S. citizens or green card carriers. But he said accepting money from foreigners would violate election provisions.

He said there are strict guidelines against accepting more than $2,300 from one individual during a single election.

“I am not familiar with the particulars of the case, so I am commenting in general. The FEC will have to examine all the circumstances before determining any wrongdoing,” Biersack clarified.

Obama’s campaign did not return WND phone calls or e-mail queries.

That the Edwans were able to contribute any money to Obama’s campaign from Gaza opens questions into the methods used by the presidential candidate’s website to accept online donations.

The website donation form asks each donor to affirm he or she is a U.S. citizen and is above the age of 16 but doesn’t require donors to prove their citizenship status, such as providing a social security number. The form further requires the donor to affirm the contribution is not coming from a corporation, political action committee or lobby group.

Some of my friends support Obama too. We might talk briefly about politics, but we never argue about it.

My rule is this: My friends are more important to me than Hillary, Obama, or this election. My friends are the ones who will be there with me in good times and bad. God willing, my friends will outlast the next Presidency. Neither Hillary nor Obama nor any other candidate can replace my friends and the role they play in my life.

So whenever my friends and I disagree on something related to this election, we merely acknowledge each other’s position and our rights to believe as we do, and we move on.

Zee, you were very courageous to protest *61 in person by yourself. I know how you feel. I have blogged on a pro-*61 website for 8 months, and his supporters are mean and nasty. FirebellePuma is right, he seems to inspire the worst traits in these people.

I just blogged the other week, and right away I was called a moron for talking about the Wailing Wall prayer. In previous post responses, I was called all types of names including stupid.

To me, this shows that they are ignorant and running scared. If one lone protestor can get this type of reaction than they must realize that the voters are not accepting him as a presidential candidate.

This must have been traumatic, and this reaffirms why we are fighting him.

Murphy, thanks for the earlier compliment.

I’m going to write to CNN. Their so called political reporters were talking about Hillary as the VP and she has to realize that she is second. Give me a break!

I’m going to make it clear, the Pope could be his running mate but Pumas or Independent ex-Democrats will not vote for him.

Congressman Cantor, VA, is being vetted for JMc’s VP. He’s Jewish. Given BO’s underperformance with the Jewish vote, this could be very interesting. Too bad I am too preoccupied with rectifying the debacle otherwise known as the Democratic primary to be able to enjoy the Republican’s show.

I’m stating the obvious here…but desperate people do desperate things. The “movement” is desperate and the dupees are angry…as well they should be.

I would suggest no Puma protest on their own. At the very least be accompanied by a friend with a video camera even if they will not participate in a protest so any abuse is fully documented.

Good vibes to you Zee. It takes real fortitude to go this one alone.

Please keep us updated. I’m curious about the specifics. I must admit, I’m fairly infuriated that more than one person decided to confront her, since she was alone. That’s just a gang-up. It is one’s right to protest, but to go it alone is not wise.

I’m glad I wasn’t there to be attacked, I most assuredly would be in jail. My tolerance for their hatred and repression has vanished.

I see people have stories about not wanting O, and others being rude. I mainly know people who support Hillary and McCain. I have one extended family member who supports O, but half-heartedly. He says he will likely just hold his nose and vote, and that it’s a crappy election year. I consider him an undecided. I told him that a lot will change from now until November. Anyway, I’m looking for a PUMA who wants to ride into the city with me tomorrow for the 6:30 get out the truth event in Manhattan. If you’re east of the city, get at me.
Also, it’s time for my monthly letter to the delgates and super delegates…I’ll check the action center, but if email addy’s aren’t prominently displayed there I’ma ask for a good list from the fellow pac’ers. That which I got from Ricki’s EW is horrible. Thanks guys.

Obama was on CNN giving a speech to a group of Latinos in Florida, he told them, “don’t worry about your kids speaking English make sure they learn Spanish”. Maybe not the exact same words but similar. I thought at the time, why don’t McCain’s people start running ads in Colorado, Nevada, Missouri, Texas (some of the states against illegal immigrants being able to get in front of the line to become citizens, while so many are still in line waiting their turn legally).

Now, I’m not against anyone trying to enter this country legally but do have problems giving the people who entered illegally a space in front of the line ahead of people trying to do the right thing. Also, think it would be beneficial to people living here, that do not speak English, to be taught English instead of Spanish. To encourage them not to speak English rather to teach their kids Spanish instead is fool hearted. That was what Obama did in order to get the Latino vote. I think an ad showing how he will say anything to whatever group he is speaking to in order to get their vote would make a difference in many states.

Yep, I’m a Democrat and don’t want to see Obama elected. The media bias must be stopped to slow this know it all Obama phony down.
