#40 Wontbackdown I hope it isn’t true. There is no reason for her not to go straight to Denver. As I posted downstairs, Hillary said in her video that she has gone above and beyond what anyone ever did by endorsing before the convention. Even Dean, Kennedy and the rest went to the convention and had a roll call. I don’t know why she had to do it differently. She should have just gone back to the Senate and waited. Anyway, I just hope she stands firm, signs the petition, goes to Denver and accepts the nomination. Obama is imploding as we speak and she will be the nominee.
Oh Yeah……….I sometimes don’t realize my verbage when speaking. Hope I don’t offend anyone. I am just a southern girl who says darlin and sweetie like it is normal language.

LadyHawkke – The link you posted is an article that simply references The Daily News article which Clinton, in her own words on the video we saw from the gathering on 7/31, has already dispelled. Though some of her comments were a bit ambiguous, from what I heard, I thought she made it clear enough that she felt it was important for her supporters/delegates to be able to cast their vote for her – the whole “catharsis” comment. God only knows what will happen between today and the convention. But, for now, I wouldn’t fret too much about the content of that article. Time will tell. And don’t forget: Clinton has not released her delegates. Per one of my last posts downstairs, that for me, would be a sign that she has thrown in the last towel possible. Until then, I gotta keep working. And, even if she did throw in that towel, we still gotta keep working because this is about reclaiming the democratic party for ourselves.
Second that statement!!! Democracy itself is at state here and that’s something worth fighting for always!!!!

I’m just amazed at the poll numbers this week. After a week of the Obama Dog and Pony Show, the presumptive President can’t even hold a lead over a largely ignored Republican candidate. This should prove something to the SDs, but I’m afraid it will only touch deaf ears. To me it shows that no matter how much money the BO campaign spends BO can’t win the confidence of the American voter.
Karl Rove was asked on Fox would the Democrats nominate someone who couldn’t win in the general election. He said (not an exact quote) sure the Democrats have nominated many people who couldn’t win the Presidency and they all marched off the cliff like a bunch of lemmings. However they (the Democrats) had a lot of good songs to sing along the way. No matter what you think of Karl Rove he has proven himself to be a genius when it comes to politics. The Democrats should heed what he has to say or risk going over that cliff again this time singing a rap song.
I really dont put much store in what they print about what the Clintons are saying. I’d rather hear it from their own mouths. I think the video is more accurate. What did bother me is it looked like Hillary was holding back a bit in the video.
It does look like Bill has a lot that to say but won’t until January about the primary. This I heard from Bill’s own mouth from an ABC video they shot in Africa.
Sorry ladies but this has got to be the scariest election year ever. It looks like Obama’s buddies have been buying absentee votes in Alabama from drugies. Like the news caster said if they did it in small towns of Alabama what do you think was happening in Chicago.
We do need a better voting system. And yes we do need to have ID’s requested.
The article about Hillary supposedly not signing the nomination roll call petition is propaganda that originated from the NY Daily News. It is contradicted by Hillary’s own words a couple of days ago at a California fundraiser, in which she clearly says that she and her supporters should have a roll call vote, which is standard and necessary to make the nomination process official according to DNC rules. The Daily News article quotes “unnamed sources” that say she wouldn’t support the roll call vote. The article even repeated that Mugabe-like argument that a roll call vote shouldn’t happen because it could “embarrass Hillary”. Like the press cares about Hillary’s reputation or feelings.
I wrote to the author Michael Saul and told him I don’t believe a word he says and that the article is meant to discourage the PUMA movement and Hillary’s supporters. If you would like to write him and voice your displeasure with his lies and propaganda his email is msaul@nydailynews.com.
