In a world tour filled with media stunts, the low point must be Obama’s visit to the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest site.
While Obama looked as if he were in prayer at the Western Wall, sharing in the tradition of writing one’s message to God and placing the note in a crevice of the ancient stones, international media — Obama’s God? — already were reading the note.
Prior to leaving the King David Hotel, Obama gave copies of the note to the media. We know this only because The Israeli newspaper, Ma’ariv came under attack for publishing their copy.
To Jews, the Western Wall is “a place of prayer” and “not a marketplace.” So said Israeli attorney Shahar Alon when he called for a police investigation into how the Ma’ariv newspaper got a copy of Obama’s note and for a boycott of the newspaper. But it turns out that there is no need for an investigation as it was Barack Obama who mistook the holy site for a marketing opportunity.
Ma’ariv responded to the call for an investigation this way: “Obama’s note was published in Ma’ariv and other international publications following Obama’s authorization to make the content of the note public. Obama submitted a copy of the note to media outlets when he left his hotel in Jerusalem.”
In accordance with Jewish law, when the Wall becomes so full of prayers that there is no space, the notes are removed and buried — without being read. Non-Jewish tourists visiting Israel often participate in the tradition of praying at the Wall and leaving a private message to God. These tourists, however, respect the Jewish custom that such prayers are private.

Right…polls and “poems” are all diversions. (The poem is comical you have to admit). We have two target objectives here. 1) Hillary in nomination, and 2) Persuading the SD’s to support Hillary’s nomination, then 3) Party reform.
I disagree with Lanny. I don’t think there is any teeth to party reform unless Obama is a loosing proposition…either as a candidate (please God) or a President (in which case we all loose a great deal). The SD’s are about securing their positions within the party and then they will talk about party reform. We are asking them to risk their office/power base based on conscience and electability for the Office of President which they will not do if it put their public office at risk. The SD’s are going to respond to money and public outcry in significant numbers. We have to give it to them.
Anyone can make speeches including me, but point is shrewd operations win over popular emotions in politics if they are not mutually exclusive.

Instead, the conspirators will feel empowered to commit even more egregious abuses in the next election cycle. This is my sense of Lanny. He is a true and devoted friend to Hillary, he has know her since university.
He would love for Hillary to be the next president but if not then he wants her to be the vice-president. He is towing the line until he sees what will happen come the Denver Convention.

Regarding Jewish support, I have a friend who is a prominent Jewish lawyer and colleague of Lanny Davis. He is spouting EXACTLY the same rhetoric as Lanny (i.e. very displeased with the primary process and the errors of the DNC, but Obama is better than another Republican administration). I suspect most are lawyers and looking at the ramifications of McCain appointments to various courts. They are in damage control mode not actively supporting Obama.
Extremely short-sided and lacking in internal fortitude in my opinion.
Why not have some “kahunas” and stand on principal like out forefathers who finally stopped being team players and formed the greatest nation in history.

I have always had a good feel for people and situations and this one is non-negotiable. EVER single person is going to have to stand up and do the right thing. I don’t even know if this is possible anymore, but since we don’t have a choice I will just have to hope for the best, and take names!

I found out that I have to move next month, landlord is selling. My kids and I are going to live in our tent for a couple of months until we get the money for deposits etc.
However, I will be going to Denver as long as the buses will get me there. I wont be bringing much money, but I am an experienced poor person and I don’t need much. I am disabled and have the time to go but I am living on 624.00 a month and that leaves nothing for frills. By frills I mean a food budget! Ha Ha, but it’s true.
I am so looking forward to meeting my Puma family, I have been on this site since the beginning, I was the 4th person to sign up and have loved being here ever since!

If Obama wins, there will be no party reform. Instead, the conspirators will feel empowered to commit even more egregious abuses in the next election cycle. We must do all we can to defeat Obama or the Democratic Party will be lost to corruption for the foreseeable future.

If you want, I will work with you on putting together a packet to send to Jewish SD’s and organizations (and others). Besides the truth about the wailing wall, I would include information like Jesse Jackson’s reference to Jews from NY as “Hymies” from “Hymietown,” and Louis Farrakhan’s threats against the WaPo reporter – black – who re-printed these remarks. BO and his friends are not nice people.
I am white but my son, who is also a PUMA, is both black and Jewish. People ask whether he wants to be a basketball player when he grows. He says no, I want to be a lawyer, like my mother! (I stopped practicing law and now teach in the Boston Public Schools.) He is hassled a lot on account of race. I warn people, if you are going to stereotype my son, you would be better off assuming he is smart because he is Jewish than that he is a hoodlum because he is black.
Whatever you do, I would recommend that you close every letter with both a request that people who want to weigh in on the candidate after reading these materials could contact the SD’s to offer their opinions on the party’s nomination; and applicable contact information.

Me, my sister, my mom and dad are all 4′11. It’s hysterical.
My husband, son and I all have birthdays on the same day of the week. So, if my birthday is on Monday, my son’s and my husband’s birthday is also on Monday. Isn’t that funny?
My son is turning 5 in September, and my husband and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on 23rd.
I just realized that my mom and I were born on the same day. She was born on December 23, and I was born on April 23.

My oldest nephew is turning 18 in September. They live in NY and he’ll be moving with us to CA to go to school. He talked his dad into voting for BHO in the primaries. I can only hope that because he’s not a resident of CA he won’t be able to vote in November.

OMG!!! This is scary!!! I went our with my friend for lunch today and we talked about God Forbid the fighting and blood shed which might take place in Denver because of how Dean is training police. BHOs people said a while back: ” If Obama doesn’t get the nomination, we’ll take it to the streets”. This is a disaster to be. I can’t believe it. I thought that we live in the safest country in the World. That’s why my family and I came here 14 years ago. In Russia people wanted to kill us, so we came here. Everything has been great up until now when this “bad guy” is putting my life and my family in danger. This is totally insane. Why is it happening to us? We are people who want to express ourselves. The “plots” change from time to time and the cast of characters play musical chairs. After awhile, they become all too familiar. You have seen the movie before. When you spot the corrupt CFO enter the scene, it immediately casts a doubt on the rest of the management team. One or two conclusions can be drawn – either they are inept or they wanted a dishonest player. Neither answer provides any comfort, but always insight. I have been lied to by the best of them over the decades; I am sure you have had similar experiences.
After years of stepping in land mines, I learned to read people and situations. I had no choice – my listening skills were honed, my gut fine-tuned. I picked up on what was and was not said, and I always paid close attention to the cast of characters. The actions of a management team always told me more than anything they ever said. If they were bailing out, so was I. If the head of sales left unexpectedly, alarm bells went of.
In the thirteen years that I have had audited results, I lost money in only one year, and then only in single digits. I am proud that I was able repay my investors’ faith and confidence in me by compounding their funds assets, net of fees, at 18% over those 13 years. I took my responsibilities seriously and when I knew I could not give it 110% of my energies, I turned it over to someone who would. My investors deserved someone who would work tirelessly on their behalf, looking under every rock in support of their interests.
The fact that I became successful was not what made me proud. It was how I did it. My soul is intact. It was the self-imposed rules and standards that I adhered to. I believed in a win, win, and still do. My investors always came first. I never screwed anyone over. I made plenty of mistakes, but I always owned them, never blaming others. I treated everyone fairly and with respect, believing everyone has
something to offer. I always tried to do the right thing.
So what does this have to do with me not falling in line and
supporting Obama? Well everything as you can see.
Andy, if I worked and served the people in the 13th District in
Chicago, I would have known all of the players. And to win that district, would I have gamed the system to run unopposed? Tony Rezko would not have had a seat at my table. Either Obama is a fool and is blind to what should have been obvious, or someone like Tony is fine by Obama’s standards. The guy is a dirtball. And a dirtball would not
be part of my circle, certainly not my inner circle. I would rather not be elected than associate with someone like Rezko.
Nor for political or any other reasons would I choose Rev. Wright, Rev. Meeks, or Father Plager as my spiritual mentors. Again, he is either blind or an opportunist. Would I be hanging out with Mr. Ayers? Would you? Would you refuse to be photographed with Gavin Newsom? There is a pattern with this guy – he manipulates; the ends justify the means. He lacks character.
Getting not one bill passed in the first 6 years of his career in not inspiring. Having Emil Jones hand him the ball 26 times on the one-yard line in order to make Obama a United States Senator does not cut it either. What deals he made, he did to benefit no one but himself. He never worked long enough in either Senate to help the people who elected him. Andy, I could never imagine you taking credit for legislation someone else slaved over. Starting in his community organizing days he claimed sole responsibility for other people’s accomplishments all for the purpose to boosting his career.
In terms of the campaign itself, I had the opportunity to witness his methods up close. During the primaries I was in 6 states, 2 of which had caucuses; it was not clean. El Paso was a joke with the Obama campaign stealing the caucus packets, locking supporters out – Intimidation 101, 102 and
103. Fair elections do not seem to be a priority in my birth state. No other machine exists from the days of Boss
Tweed, but Chicago’s. How many elected officials are in jail?They are the joke of the nation. It is called the Chicago machine for good reason.
It was clear that what I saw and experienced was not a fluke or isolated incidents, but coordinated, deliberate and arrogant. I got to see him and his organization for who he is and what it is – not inspiring, to say the least. Not something I would have, in business, endorsed in any way. In fact, I would most likely have reported them to the appropriate regulators.
Andy, I have consistently found you to be a compassionate person, but more importantly you have always put your money where your mouth is. Does it not bother you that a guy like Obama can serve a poor district and give away a paltry $1000 to charity? He only stepped up his giving when he decided to run for President and he knew his charitable
giving would be made public. How could anyone see that much misery and not try to personally do something about it?
Please, show me something this guy ever did that was not done in a calculated fashion to create and advance his own personal narrative? Something selfless, perhaps, just because it was the right thing to do?
Every person I have talked to who worked at the Law Review at Harvard with him, or in the later part of his career, said the same thing: he was arrogant and self-centered. One person laughed, saying Obama wanted to be King of the World, that he was always running for something, never staying in one place long enough to amass accomplishments or be held accountable.
Do you not you find it troublesome that he has hundreds of paid bloggers, posting vicious attacks not only about the Clintons but her supporters as well? The whole purpose was to cast him as the second coming, while trashing her and quashing other points of view.
At first I thought is was just some hyped up kids, and then a pattern emerged. He paid others to do his dirty work. The most egregious sexist cracks were rampant, both on the Internet and the MSM. Yet, what did Howard and Obama say? Nothing. Obama promoted it, paid his bloggers to write it. Never once did he try to stop it. Howard, after the damage was done finally commented on it, but barely. Wink,
wink.
Andy, I heard remarks that still make my jaw drop.
You know I consider myself a centrist. The right wing of the
Republican Party scares me, but so does the left. Ideologues of either side should not have control simultaneously of the executive, legislative, and judicial arms of the government. Absolute power corrupts, be it on the left or the right. Ha, but you will say…. the courts. If you have the legislative branch, all will be fine. McCain voted Ginsberg in, he is not a stupid man and certainly not an Ideologue, and he took heat in the primaries for refusing to have a litmus test for judges. And need I remind you that Obama thought Roberts was an acceptable appointment until some more experienced hands in the Senate told him that would not do?
Painting him as Bush 3 is a little annoying, and what’s up with the MoveOn Baby Alex commercial? Give credit where credit is due. McCain went against his own party twice on immigration reform, on ethanol subsidies, and campaign finance reform. He started talking about Global warming 8 years ago. I don’t agree with McCain on a number of topics, but I do believe he has principals and a backbone. He is not
willing to say anything to get elected.
I can’t say the same for Obama who is turning out to be more like Bush than McCain; Obama is at least as arrogant as W, just more polished. Are you not ashamed, in these past weeks, of his reckless abandon of any pretense to a moral center on issues such as FISA, separation of church and state, gun control? And what he did to one of my heroes,
Wes Clark? Insulting my intelligence and my standards will not win me over.
But, in this conversation, you will say, McCain wants to be in Iraq for 100 years. No, he said that as in Japan, or Korea, we could have a presence. We have been in both of those countries for 60 years and not leaving any time soon, and the world is safer for it.
Next will be, McCain is not knowledgeable about the economy. While with Carly Fiorina, who I remember from her Lucent days, at a town meeting he turned the mic over to Carly when asked about the mortgage mess, painting her as the expert. Wow – he gave a woman a compliment, praising her knowledge, referring to her as the expert. How often
have you praised Charles, or me, and everyone for that matter? Why? Because you are gracious and you know it reflects well on you.
All this might not bother me if so much if the stakes where not so high, but they are. I am an issues person, not a cult of personality devotee. Substance matters. Barack is a politician, an inexperienced one at that, pretending he is different. I just see him as arrogant and power hungry. Our country deserves better, someone I would be proud to do business with.
Andy, my country comes first, not the Democrat party. Having said that, I believe that the Democratic Party has just kicked away the best candidate and our best chance to redeem our country, Hillary Clinton, a proven centrist. Given his resume, or should I say the lack of one, he is either ineffective or hiding something, neither answer gives me the warm and fuzzies. If she is chosen in Denver, you can
count on my full and enthusiastic support. Until then,
I own my vote.”

This may greatly help those people who are not very good at writing letters or people who are not sure just how to begin such a letter.

I find some of your reporting on the 2008 election coverage to be very disturbing. Your reporting on the overseas polls on Obama appears biased. Your sampling pool does not necessarily have the US’s best interest at heart. The results are misleading. Your promotion of the statistics could be biasing your domestic results.
The other part I believe is showing bias is your declaration of Obama as the Democratic Nominee. He did not have a clear victory and there are many disputing that and it will not be decided until the DNC Convention August 25. Excluding Clinton from the overseas and domestic polling is causing artificial bias in Obama’s favor.

Don’t the American people get a chance to weigh in on this in November? Maybe they’ll decide it’s more important to have John McCain as commander in chief than Barack Obama as orator in chief. Maybe they’ll further suspect that 200,000 Germans can’t be right.
I was cheered up by this notion.
But then it occurred to me that one man’s “deadlock-proof” Democratic majority is another’s unchecked Democratic majority. Given the unpopularity of the current Democratic Congress, given Americans’ tendency to prefer divided government, given the voters’ repudiations of the Republicans in 2006 and of the Democrats in 1994 — isn’t the prospect of across-the-board, one-party Democratic governance more likely to move votes to McCain than to Obama?

As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to ‘The War Zone’. I wanted to share with you what happened.
He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.
As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn’t say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service.
So really he was just here to make a showing for the American’s back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.
I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheer leaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the President of the United States. I just don’t understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.
If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.

I would like to clarify my opinion as being that the recent Gallup poll results are an artifact of the overseas reporting by Gallup (bias?). However, the GOP may decide to take advantage of this and let BO have more margin going into the DNC Convention, especially if they view Clinton as a threat. More telling for Gallup results would be the numbers that are not there, i.e. the difference between the sums and 100%.

my opinion
My husband just said he was watching something not sure what and he said a report was on and was asked about BO’s VP spot they said no he didn’t tell them but what she did say was alitle interesting. It was implied that he was gonna tell them (inside scope) who it was gonna be to possible get the whole press to come with him on his world tour(that’s why so many went). Now they didn’t come right out and say that but it was implied. Hopefully that made sense.

I am listening to you on blogtalkradio and I’m not sure you understand who we are. We are political junkies. We eat this stuff for breakfast, in my case, *before* breakfast. We’ve been paying attention to all of the moving parts since we were children. There is absolutely NOTHING you can BS us on that we can’t see right through.
Now, I don’t know who roped you into coming to us to try to talk us out of our course of action but you can march right back to them and give them a message for us. “NO DEAL ON OBAMA”
We know exactly what Obama is. He’s an ambitious ass kissing schmoozer with a razor thin CV. He’s a ruthless campaigner and an unethical delegate thief. He will compromise with the Republcians on just about everything including energy policy and FISA. We don’t know what he’d do on reproductive rights but given his track record, anything is possible as long as it is politically expedient.
We don’t want this man as our president, Lanny. The American public has nothing to gain from Republican Lite. He is only going to benefit affluent liberals and many of US fall into that category. He is no FDR, he’s got no experience and our ears will bleed if we have to listen to him for four years. He is a non-starter for us, Lanny.
What’s more, we don’t like the way that politics were played this year. This may be the election where the mostly male, mostly older power brokers finally get the boot. We are a new generation of women and men who were brought up in a more egalitarian era. We’re not going to put up with the old way of picking nominees. Now, honor us and our candidate.

Lanny, we have thought this through from every angle and believe me, the party can not get any less unified by submitting Hillary’s name in nomination. We want it, the country wants it. Whether the DNC wants it is of no interest to us. It can either do the right thing now or it can suffer the consequences later.

yes as i said b4 i’m not anti-obama just pro-hillary. and the reason is that in africa (where i’m from) especially one sees the consequences often of elections that are bought and sold to the highest bidder. also sometimes even in semi-democratic countries in africa people often vote with their hearts and not with their heads they don’t look at a candidate and evaluate them on their experience and qualifications and what would be best for the country they are sometimes fooled by slogans and history and people blaming everything on colonialism even their own corruption. i mean in zimbabwe at the moment as i said before in the elections no opponents were tolerated the state run media ruined all the other opponents chances and in the end its the people that suffer.

Democratic Party officials and top elected officials have pronounced that the hard feelings among Clinton backers have been healed. The official word is that all is well, that Hillary’s “nation” is now on board behind Obama.
But a sampling of rank-and-file Clinton donors contacted by the New Hampshire Union Leader in recent days indicates a mixed bag. The newspaper’s review ran the gamut, finding Clinton supporters who now claim to enthusiastically back Obama and Clinton supporters who contend they will vote for Republican Sen. John McCain rather than the Illinois senator.

Obama’s Trip: No Bounce, No Flags, No Wounded Soldiers

Sen. Barack Obama’s international globe-hopping to the Mideast and Europe was meant to burnish his credentials as a foreign policy and potential military leader – the strong suit of his Republican rival Sen. John McCain.
Despite the media love fest over the political junket, Obama has yet to pull away from McCain in the polls. His campaign had expected a minimum eight-point lead after Obama clinched the Democratic nomination back in June, with even more momentum moving his way as the campaign progressed.
Both the most recent Real Clear Politics rolling average and the Rasmussen tracking poll that coincided with the end of Obama’s trip this weekend show Obama with just a five-point lead over McCain — consistent with his numbers for the past two months. [Press reports this weekend have almost completely ignored the Rasmussen poll to only report on a Gallup poll, which showed Obama with a nine-point lead. Not as good as the Newsweek poll from June, which had Obama 15 points ahead of McCain.]
With President Bush suffering low approval ratings, the economy moving into a recession as gas prices surge above $4 a gallon, and growing resentment about the unending war in Iraq, Obama should be pulling away in the polls.
But he isn’t.
The Obama campaign has been quick to be out front on the bad news, claiming — at the end of the trip — it never expected a poll bounce from Obama’s trip anyway.
Obama campaign manager David Plouffe told Politico’s Mike Allen: “We wouldn’t expect any sort of — I guess the term people use is ‘bounce.’”
In fact, during Obama’s global meet-and-greet tour, McCain’s poll numbers have risen in key battleground states like Ohio.
As crowds cheered Obama globally, Americans here on the homefront were left wondering if the Illinois senator wants to be their president — or the president of some other country. [And whether the major U.S. media would at least offer the pretense of objectivity. An MSNBC poll from last week found that 47 percent of the public thought the coverage of Obama’s trip was “excessive.”]
After Obama’s speech to an estimated 200,000 Germans in Berlin, a columnist for Britain’s Guardian newspaper began his review this way: “Barack Obama has found his people. But, unfortunately for his election prospects, they’re German, not American.”
Obama’s speech to the Germans left much to be desired, from an American’s perspective.
For starters, the crowd’s size was beefed up by the fact that the event was billed as a free rock concert for German citizens, with popular musical performers helping to draw the big crowd. Scant U.S. media even noted the warm-up rock draws of reggae artist Patrice and rock band Reamonn.
Then there was the simple stage, with the podium surrounded by three potted plants. Missing was the American flag — nowhere to be seen. Perhaps Obama’s staff might consider the U.S. flag offensive.
And then there was his speech, in which he proudly proclaimed he was in Germany as a “a fellow citizen of the world.”
And there was the spectacle of the presidential wannabe going to a foreign land to apologize about the United States.
Obama told his German audience he was sorry about his country because “I know my country has not perfected itself.” [This comment was made in the former seat of Nazi power. A letter to editor published in Obama’s hometown Chicago Tribune noted the irony: “While America may not be perfect, there is no reason to apologize to the Germans, architects of the Holocaust.”]
As for America’s role in saving Germany from the onslaught of Stalinist communism and the subsequent Cold War, there was nothing.
There was a rhetorical flourish about the Berlin Wall coming down, but nothing about the great American sacrifice, not to mention how our military might made President Reagan’s call — “Tear down this wall, Mr. Gorbachev” — a reality.
There was a fleeting mention of the famous Berlin airlift of 1948 that President Truman ordered to thwart the Soviet blockade that sought to starve West Berlin.
As Boston Globe columnist Jeff Jacoby wrote, “Obama seemed to go out of his way not to say plainly that what saved Berlin in that dark time was America’s military might.
“Save for a solitary reference to ‘the first American plane,’ he never described one of the greatest American operations of the postwar period as an American operation at all. He spoke only of ‘the airlift,’ ‘the planes,’ ‘those pilots.’ Perhaps their American identity wasn’t something he cared to stress amid all his ‘people of the world’ salutations and talk of ‘global citizenship.’”
The Hollywood-staged Obama event for a man who has yet to ascend to the presidency didn’t sit well with all the Germans. Germany’s Stern magazine carried the headline “Barack Kant Saves the World.”
One of their columnists, Florian Güssgen, wrote: “The man is perfect, impeccable, slick. Almost too slick … Obama’s speech was often vague, sometimes banal and more reminiscent of John Lennon’s feel good song ‘Imagine’ than of a foreign policy agenda.”
Slickness without substance seemed to be the enduring theme of his trip. Among the little hiccups covered up by the major media, there were several gaffes on the global coronation trip.
Perhaps the most notable — and reprehensible — was Obama’s decision to cancel a visit to wounded American soldiers at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in southern Germany.
Apparently, the Pentagon informed Obama that since his visit was a political one, the hospital visit would be only open to him and his official Senate staff. This excluded the press and campaign officials.
The Pentagon did offer to allow Obama’s campaign plane to land at the nearby U.S. air base at Ramstein. The media also was to be accommodated there.
Without the photo opportunity and his press entourage, Obama declined to meet the wounded soldiers. At first, Obama’s campaign claimed to the press he decided to cancel the trip to visit the troops because it was “a trip funded by the campaign,” and therefore somehow inappropriate. [What is inappropriate about a presidential candidate visiting wounded troops?]
But the Obama story belies the fact it was only after the Pentagon closed the event to his traveling press, that Obama’s campaign nixed the event.
Rightfully, McCain noted that it is never inappropriate for a candidate or official to visit U.S. troops.
“If I had been told by the Pentagon that I couldn’t visit those troops, and I was there and wanted to be there, I guarantee you, there would have been a seismic event,” McCain said.
McCain continued the attack on ABC News Sunday show “This Week”: “Those troops would have loved to see him, and I know of no Pentagon regulation that would’ve prevented him from going there” without the news media.
The McCain campaign has been quick to pounce on Obama’s obvious slight to the troops and double-talk, airing a new commercial this weekend.
“And now, he made time to go to the gym, but canceled a visit with wounded troops,” the ad says. “Seems the Pentagon wouldn’t allow him to bring cameras. John McCain is always there for our troops.”
McCain added that Obama “certainly found time to do other things.”
One of those other things Obama did was visit Paris and hold a joint press conference with French President Nicolas Sarkozy, typical of an American president visiting the French capital.
Interestingly, The New York Times quoted Elysee officials that “Obama aides insisted that an American flag not be displayed alongside the French flag because Mr. Obama is only a visiting senator and not the president.”
There is no protocol preventing an American official from having the flag displayed when abroad.
America snubbed once again by a lame excuse.

About Tx, I let Cuellar and Farias know my discontent. I asked them if they were hoping to be re-elected? I did get a nice letter about the drilling – Cuellar went bi-partisan for using Reserves and I got an invitation to Farias’ kick-off Bar-b-que.
I haven’t talked to anyone yet voting for “it”, but have talked to many Hillary supporters – hispanics and others.

I met a lovely shopkeeper while in MA this past weekend. She had previously campaigned for Kerry and is upset that he turned his back on Hillary. While she does not use the internet, she has been calling Kerry’s office to voice her opinion. For the first time in her life, she will be voting Republican. Apparently, Kerry’s office has been hearing a lot of this lately! In parting, she told me that she still carries her Hillary pin with her. That put a huge smile on my face.
I believe the polls are not reflecting the total numbers of those that “didn’t” vote in the primaries because of the Caucus set up. Also, from what I’ve seen here, when people are being called, they are telling them little untruths – a vote is still private.
San Antonio has had an increase of 35,000 and hopefully all of these new voters are getting registered to vote in their districts.

So…are the Delegates supposed to sign a petition to get Hillary’s name on the ballot for nomination??
i’m slightly confused about this. I read one thing and then a few minutes later I read something else. I just want to know what we have to do to ensure that we have the best possible chance when it comes to making sure her name is on that ballot.
I already have a “moving to England” fund and I’m not afraid to use it…I’d rather not but I won’t live here if *61 buys his way into the White House.
