hey
LOL!
I tried to be #1 but my post went into oblivion.
repost from downstairs
Antifish-
I’m sorry you were unable to reach your destination today. You should have come and played with me in Charlotte yesterday. Then you too would have the distinction of being called “low class” by Coward Dean!
just like your trip! LOL! buy a lotto ticket
He called you low class? Why?
lotts1948,
Are you up here yet? I wanted to say that maybe God didn’t want me to be at Coward’s meeting today. Maybe I would have been arrested for attacking him? LOL!
For the first maybe 30 seconds of his little speech we were chanting “PUMA”! he asked us to stop, which we did..however the media completely spun it. we had over 20 protesters on our side. there were about 70 on the other side including the media, local politicians, and the police…according to the charlotte observer there were 150 dean supporters. he said he interviewed dean and he called us low class.
10 minutes until show time
queen,
F*ck him! He’s the one who is about as low class as one can get. He’s proved himself to be a gutless, sexist, conniving crook during this primary. He should have to look in the mirror for the rest of his life and say, “You are an absolute asshole” over and over.
Figures. I get in and everybody leaves from down stairs. Tell me. Is it my deoderant? My breath? You can be honest.
repost.
Hey Vonay, snort. rofl. Yup I am a male of the species.
Unfortunately however, I work every weekend. Right now its seven days a week so my time here is limited.
Was in stealth puma mode today. Checking the pulse of my customers.
Seems the average person is beginning to get scared of precious.
Really. It’s kinda weird. After his trip abroad people are wondering what his real motivation is. These are average people. Not politically active at all.
Quite a few expressed the same sentiment. One they are sick of hearing how wonderful 61 is from the media.
Two. They “feel” there is something” really wrong with him.
Three. They wonder why he hasn’t actually said anything of substance.
Another odd turn is the number of AA’s who are now beginning to speak out against precious. Mostly women but a few men as well. Maybe 20% of my AA customers.
The supporters of “O” are looking more dejected then anything else.

you just made my day! LOL!
Okay, I have to get my lime-ade and popcorn before the program begins.
snowtiger,
That sounds like good news. I wish my best friend would come around. She told her mother this morning that Obama was going to save the world. Her mom called me frantic and wondering what to do! LOL!
OMG #10 gueen81 LOOK! It’s in your paper. They wrote what you said! This is toooo funny and they essentially quoted Dean!

It really amazed me anti. So many different people are saying the same thing. It was like the twilight zone.
Particularly the “I feel there is something very wrong about him.” comments.
Seems people are listening to their instincts.
I swear it was spooky.
Wonder whats going on in the mind of middle America.
Well it bodes good for Hillary.
#9- antifish
now that’s a real possibility.. LOL… but think of the publicity… LOL
Do you think Murphy would respond to this opinion from a “fellow” blog host/moderator? I posted it downstairs before the new thread came up. We are not only talking about kool aid people, but mendacity seems to be part of the osmosis in all of this.

“”Well, one HRC supporter gone rogue learns the hard way.
Wisconsin Democrats have ousted a delegate to their national convention for saying she would vote for Republican Sen. John McCain.
The Wisconsin Democratic Party’s administrative committee voted Friday to strip Debra Bartoshevich of her status as a delegate to the Denver convention….
Any HRC supporter who is going to vote for McCain in the general deserves what Bartoshevich got. Right on, Wisconsin. Besides, any delegate stupid enough to open his/her mouth to admit their plans to vote for McCain instead of Obama in the general election doesn’t have the political sense God gave Dan Quayle. Good riddance. We’ve got enough dumb Democrats already. “” —TM
The article by Ani on NO Quarter, brought tears to my eyes. It brought back the ay it really was; of the way Hillary was so disrespected.
Also I would like to remind people not only was Hillary and women disrespected, whole states were condemned as racist, bitter religious bigots, and called red-neck idiots and accused of being too stupid to know who to vote for.
Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio,
Florida and Michigan were thrown into the spotlight to be ridiculed by Obama and his supporters.
I for one will never forget and I will not vote for a candidate and his supporters who used race baiting and all forms of insults just because people were not caught up and hypnotized by Obama.
If Hillary Clinton is not nominated at the convention, this is one democrat who will gladly vote for John McCain.
For that is the only way that Obama will be stopped.
Voting a third party or staying home will insure that Obama wins.
Not me, not this time. MY vote is going to count.
cjv…yeah we were quite suprised when we read the article last night. totally changed facts.

Sounds like actual journalism to me too, unlike that we get to read here in the US.
cjv..even worse then that. I’m 27 and I offered the newspaper as well as tv station interviews…they only interviewed older members…keeping alive the idea that puma is only older bitter women of a certain age.
How did we get here? Bambi is the leader of ther Dem party??!!! He is the one that chooses if Hill is put in nomination? What the hell?
#31 SARTOM–Thanks for the link. This needs to be laid in the lap of every SD who is/was responsible for “bailing out” the “citizen of the world.”
Please help! I tried to listen to the blog talk but can’t get the silly thing to work. I kept pushing the button “listen” but nothing happened. I noticed that you couldn’t comment on the blog unless you were logged in…is that the case for listening to the show? You have to be registered to listen to the shows?

I think Murphy has a chiming clock - I can hear it chiming in the background on the radio show.
Nice recovery Murphy, it was a great show and how exciting to talk to a Hillary delegate and get some inside information finally.
oh dear lord — no idea what happened there– sorry folks.
hope it went ok after the technical snafus.

Great show Murhpy!
Good job Murphy - missed the first part of the show but caught the ending - I am so relieved - was beginning to have just tiny tiny doubts - but after hearing Ray talk I feel so much better about Hillary - wish I could go to Denver - liked the show………………….
I really enjoyed the show. My first time there.

The delegate said the petition was notarized. I thought he said that because it had the required number of signatures and the notarization was to protect them from the axelgrease machine. Is that what you heard?

First, give him a warm welcome to the NE with a nice Texas Omelet. Then start with the signs and chants.

no worries… we had fun in the radio blog chat room
Murphy,
Great show! To me one of the more telling comments concerned *61’s decision to move his speech to Mile High Stadium without consulting the party. Firebelle Puma has been writing about his wasteful ways and how economically he would be a disaster for our country.
When you put into context his campaign, the questionable bundler donations, his political track record in Illinois, and now the Mid-East & European tour, he is a train wreck waiting to happen.
I can’t say this enough, *61 does not represent the best interests of this country or its citizens. Ask yourselves, how does anyone function under a boss, family member, or friend that is pompous or arrogant? These are not the characteristics that I want in our next President.
This movement has so many levels to it, and I’m glad that we are fighting back and taking a stand.

but then he said he placed his signature on it but did not confirm the other signatures instead he said we could contact delegates for their signature. If he was Bo, I’d call that a flip flop

Oh, ok. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

It wasn’t clear at first. He did clarify that his signature was notarized, as would all the others. They need 300 from different states.
Murphy Great show…We need to get all regions contacting the SD’s…..What a great guest…at least we know are letters are making a difference…..growl……
I don’t know what happened with the show at the beginning, but I was having computer problems at the same time…could it have been the trolls?
#68 EWard on 07.26.08 at 10:15
“Ask yourselves, how does anyone function under a boss, family member, or friend that is pompous or arrogant?”
That is the point and the plan. Everyone is welcome but no one is indespesible. One enters at their own risk. It may sound “over the top,” but I have a feeling that is the attraction to the illusion. Taking uncalculated risks and not caring about outcomes creates euphoric “tingles.” (C. Matthews)
Would someone protesting Howard Dean please hold up a BIG SIGN saying we are Democrats, so he stops saying we’re not.
You guys, we need to make sure we do everything humanly possible to keep BO out of the White House. Last week, Maryland Puma began compiling a list of all the “whys” BO is unfit for POTUS> This week, we got even more to add to that list. What are we doing with that project? I’ll help document in any way I can..see Andy’s post about the African Village promise broken up above.
300 Signatures Question
This is what I gleaned from the 300 signatures question. He personally has signed, notarized and sealed his petition. However, each state has a different way of doing it. Also, he did not want to reveal if all 300 signatures to the petition had been signed.
#87 Jeremy
I had never thought of it that way. Interesting analysis!
Yes, dean August 2nd. Sorry i was on the DNC website. If you want to know who is pledged to what candidate… go to the DNC site and you can get a list of each state and delegates. Great reading!
You have to look at a picture of his holiness for a few seconds.

I had problems with my computer too! It kept giving me a java error for a movie, then would freeze and kick me out. It was bizarre, it never did that before.
The show had some technical difficulties but ended up being one of the most interesting ones.
We found out delegates for Hillary are as passionate as we are - and our efforts are welcome.
Also, that Hillary suspended - not ended her campaign because she wants her issues considered - healthcare, ending don’t ask, dont tell - at that point I had to leave and I missed what else.
Anyone from California know how many delegates HRC won in CA?

Jeremy - you are quite the philosopher. love it.
I deal with arrogance and pompous people by avoiding them as much as possible…when I can’t avoid them, I try to figure out how to change my reaction to them because, ofcourse, I can’t control their behavior.
Very healthy, I know.

Thanks.
I look forward to pissing the dean off. LOL I am sharpening my claws right now.
#91 EWard on 07.26.08 at 10:29 pm
Another way I view this is that the trust factor. The low poll numbers of how the “Washington, DC” officials are governing are actually assisting him. He always fall back on this—”again, another example of the policies and politics of the past.” That is such an inclusive statement and builds blind trust–for him.
Do we have a schedule for the screams trips?

I blog sometimes on a pro*61 magazine website. His supporters were furious about his flip-flop on FISA. They were withholding their donations and calling him names including a two-headed monster. I think some of them are finding out that he doesn’t have a firm stance on many of the issues.
HILLARY IN ‘08
There can be no other!
At our caucus.. I was there late registering to be a delegate. Berry’s boys were tiffed and tried to strong arm us into giving them another delegate. We said no! And if you don’t like it… file a complaint and we will see you at the convention! They were awful!! Mean and above all of us.. they are crazy….glazed over eyes with lashes batting for the chosen one.
“The house and senate have a 9% approval rating. How low can they go?”
LibertyPuma–maybe 8 more. Prediction–He is going to use this. He will tell us that that is poof that he must be the one. He will give speech after speech that he will bring unity to a broken politics of the past—HOWEVER–he won’t say how or will not be put in a corner to clarify or justify actions or outcomes. Get ready.
I would like the copy of deans schedule as well. Maybe someone can post it for all of us?
goandersen
you have mail regarding Dean bus in CA…
doesn’t like like he’s bothering with the west
you are probably right Jeremy.
#120 Jeremy,
Hi Jeremy. I agree with your prediction. It seems to be what is working for him. A lot of empty promises with no facts to back them up. I can’t believe how many people are falling for this.
What about the debates? I would sure like there to be one before the convention.

Howard Dean to Take Bus Tour of the South by Associated Press
Tuesday, July 15, 2008
WASHINGTON — Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean is
embarking on a voter registration bus tour he hopes will help push Dixie to the Democrats.
Dean’s trip begins Thursday in President Bush’s hometown of Crawford, Texas, riding an eye-catching bus wrapped in the red, white and blue of
presidential candidate Barack Obama’s campaign logo.
Dean said in a telephone interview that he’ll focus on winning over people who are struggling economically.
“We think that they have been disillusioned,” said Dean, a former Vermont governor and presidential candidate in 2004. “Many of them voted
for George Bush. We think they want something new and we’re going to provide it for them.”
Democrats dominated the South through the first half of the 20th century. But as President Lyndon B. Johnson famously predicted when he
signed the 1964 Civil Rights Act, the party gradually lost support in the region. Georgia native Jimmy Carter is the only Democratic presidential candidate to win broad support in the South since then.
“I think the big reason is we haven’t tried,” Dean said. “If you don’t show up, you can’t win. And that’s not going to happen this time. We are
going to show up everywhere.”
Obama has predicted he can change the trend of a Republican South, in part by registering black voters who participate in elections at a lower rate than whites.
Obama and Dean have been united in their commitment to campaign for voters
in all 50 states, even those where Democrats have performed poorly in the past and haven’t built an organization.
But Obama is competing more aggressively in some states than others. His spendingon advertising is an indication of where he thinks he has the
best chance of winning, and the Southern states on the list at this point are Georgia, Missouri,Florida, North Carolina and Virginia.
“The key is going to be registering people to vote,” Dean said.
Dean said the voter registration drive is focused on boosting Obama’s standing in the states, but local candidates will join the tour when it
comes their way and he hopes it can help them, too.
Dean’s travel plans include:
– A drive from Crawford to Austin on Thursday.
– Stops Friday in New Orleans and the Mississippi cities of Hattiesburg and Jackson.
– Visits to the Louisiana cities of Shreveport and Baton Rouge on Saturday.
– On July 25, three stops are planned in North Carolina — Raleigh, Greensboro and Charlotte.
– July 26 takes him to Georgia for visits to Savannah, Macon and Atlanta.
– In August, the bus is scheduled to make stops in Midwest swing states
like Ohio, Pennsylvania and Indiana before it heads to Denver for the Democrat National Convention, which opens Aug. 25.

Some of Dean’s comments were hypocritical. It is “low class” to shout while someone is speaking. Good grief, Gov. Dean was part of an operation that stole the nomination from Senator Clinton.

“I think some of them are finding out that he doesn’t have a firm stance on many of the issues.”
When one has knowledge of iceskating on thin ice, he looks for blue and bubbles (O2). That has been his “pattern” for all of what we know regarding his stance on anything–issues, et.al. Whether is be FISA, immigration, Iraq…..he will skate around the darker ice and bubbles and doesn’t care who follows and ends up going into the thin ice or a bus.

The house and senate have a 9% approval rating. How low can they go?…..

I am confident that once the % of approval rating = the no. of members in the house and senate, it will stabilize.
I am certain of it.
Somewhat.
Say PUMAs…I just heard on the History Channel this wonderful philosophy:
“Forget the things that make us different and remember the things that make us the same.”
What a great campaign slogan……..unity
sorry, it has nothing to do with your conversation, but we could use this somehow I think.
Charlotte Puma’s do rock!@! Any poll results?
Whoo Hoo! Let the games begin:
McCain Rips Obama on Nixed Troop Visit
By DOUGLASS K. DANIEL,
APWASHINGTON (July 26) - Republican John McCain’s campaign on Saturday sharply criticized Democratic rival Barack Obama for canceling a visit to wounded troops in Germany, contending Obama chose foreign leaders and cheering Europeans over “injured American heroes.” The Arizona senator also slams his rival over the issue in a new attack ad.
Obama’s campaign called the accusation “wildly inappropriate.” His spokesman has claimed that the visit to a military hospital in Germany was scrapped after the Pentagon raised concerns about political activity on a military base. Earlier, though, the campaign had said Obama decided the visit might be seen as inappropriate politicking. However, the Pentagon said the senator was never told not to visit.
A new McCain ad that began airing Saturday in selected markets also chides Obama as disrespectful for making “time to go to the gym” during his European visit while at the same time canceling the visit with wounded troops.
“Seems the Pentagon wouldn’t allow him to bring cameras,” according to the ad, which is being televised in Colorado, Pennsylvania and the Washington D.C. area. “John McCain is always there for our troops.”
McCain himself joined in the rebuke, saying in an interview to be aired Sunday by ABC’s “This Week” that “if I had been told by the Pentagon that I couldn’t visit those troops, and I was there and wanted to be there, I guarantee you, there would have been a seismic event.”
I will try to post again! I fiannlly got myself fixed! Helllooooooo everybody!
Hi PUMAs,
I hope every one is doing well. This was also posted downstairs:
PLEASE!!! SEND YOUTUBE videos to Howard Dean telling him: “WHY YOU ARE A DEMOCRAT IN 2008″. Be creative, and have fun. Also, send this video to Donna Brazile and other Super Delegates.

ELECTABILITY WATCH (EW)
Rasmussen Obama 46%, McCain 40% “the bounce is continuing for Barack Obama”.
Gallup: Obama 48%, McCain 41%
CNN: Obama 44% McCain 41%
All,
There are three important statements of principle and action which I encourage you to sign and to pass along to others: http://iownmyvote.com, Together4Us.com, and “Open Letter to Howard Dean” http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/TheDenverGroup?e.
This is an critical period leading up to Denver when those of who believe a man who works out rather than visit wounded troops should not be the President of the United States. It reflects and confirms an immaturity, frightful judgment, and questionable values, and is another example of the absence of a moral compass that many of us find so troubling.
If each of us takes a few moments to share these concerns with the Democratic Party’s decision makers and Super Delegates, perhaps they will reconsider the frantic drive to make BO the inevitable, the anointed. BO is the selected rather than the elected. Let the voices of the 18 million Clinton votes take precedence over the questionable ambitions of the South Side of Chicago Obama gang. (*please see the last item).
Please join the ELECTABILITY WATCH to remind the SDs that during the primaries, the more voters got to know Obama, the more they voted for Clinton, and that the only job of the SDs in Denver is to select the electable candidate to get the Democrats back to the White House. She is HRC.
GO GO GO!
Ricki
p.s. last item didn’t paste..I’ll try again.
Included more than the original quotes because I thought important and good to know!
WHAT DO Jim Webb, John Edwards, Ted Strickland, Mark Warner, Jack Reid, Al Gore, Ed Rendell and Hillary Clinton have in common? Each is NOT interested in being VP with presumptuous nominee BO.

Barack Obama’s vice presidential search team has floated the name of a member of President Bush’s first-term Cabinet, Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman, as Obama’s running mate. The search committee, now led by Caroline Kennedy and Eric Holder, raised Veneman’s name — among others — in discussions with members of Congress, said two Democrats familiar with the conversations.
The mention of Veneman’s name surprised Democratic lawmakers. The low-profile Republican was close to food and agriculture industries but clashed with farm-state Democrats and environmentalists during her tenure, which lasted from 2001 to 2004.
But Veneman, 59, has a biography that could be suited to Obama’s unifying message. A Republican raised on a California peach farm, she rose to become the nation’s first female agriculture secretary. In 2002 she was diagnosed with breast cancer, which was treated successfully. Today she serves as executive director of the United Nations children’s agency UNICEF.
The selection of a Republican could bolster Obama’s unifying message, a Capitol Hill Democrat familiar with the discussion said. “You select a strong independent woman who appeals to Republicans and independents, and so that’s hard to beat,” the Hill source said, explaining the logic of the possible choice. “Choosing someone like [Veneman] doesn’t hurt you with the Democrats… But it helps you with Independents and Republicans.”
[Reba Shimansky who snet me this article, writes: Another name being floated is Tim Kaine the governor of Virginia who is opposed to a woman`s right to chose- which would really offend most democratic women voters..Obama seems to take for granted the votes of Democratic woman.]
6. NARAL: IS THIS YOUR CANDIDATE? Obama’s Abortion Stance When ‘Feeling Blue’ Marie Cocco Somewhere along Barack Obama’s winding road through the red states, he lost me. It happened when he talked about women who are “feeling blue.”
Obama says that these women should not be able to obtain a late-term abortion, because just “feeling blue” isn’t the same as suffering “serious clinical mental health diseases.” True enough. And totally infuriating.
During the recent Obama pander tour — the one in which he spent about a week trying to win over conservative religious voters — the presumptive Democratic nominee unnecessarily endorsed President Bush’s faith-based initiative, a sort of patronage program that rewards religious activists for their political support with public grants. Then in a St. Louis speech, Obama declared that “I let Jesus Christ into my life.” That’s fine, but we already have a president who believes this was a qualification for the Oval Office, and look where that’s gotten us.
Obama’s verbal meanderings on the issue of late-term abortion go further. He has muddied his position. Whether this is a mistake or deliberate triangulation, only Obama knows for sure.
One thing is certain: Obama has backhandedly given credibility to the right-wing narrative that women who have abortions — even those who go through the physically and mentally wrenching experience of a late-term abortion — are frivolous and selfish creatures who might perhaps undergo this ordeal because they are “feeling blue.”
The wordplay began when Obama, in an interview with the religious magazine Relevant, said he believes late-term abortions can be banned except in cases where “a serious physical issue … arises in pregnancy, where there are real, significant problems with the mother carrying that child to term.” In other words, a woman’s emotional and psychological health would not be considered factors. Obama said he doesn’t think “‘mental distress’ qualifies as the health of the mother.”
Since this contradicts the landmark Roe v. Wade decision and subsequent court rulings that have upheld mental health exceptions to abortion bans, the campaign had to flip back from the flop. Obama spoke to reporters on his campaign plane and gave a definition of a mental health exception that goes like this: “It can be defined by serious, clinical mental health diseases. It is not just a matter of feeling blue.” He noted that neither abortion-rights supporters nor the courts have ever interpreted a mental health exception that way.
They have not. Because this sort of language — that women might have late-term abortions just because they feel “blue” — is that of the anti-abortion lobby. As part of its campaign to ban the procedure, anti-abortion activists have consistently depicted women who have abortions as doing so for convenience, to get themselves out of an uncomfortable jam of their making.
In all the years I have covered the incendiary politics of late-term abortion — procedures that comprise only about 1 percent of abortions in the U.S. — I have never come across a woman who terminated a pregnancy late because she was “feeling blue.” I have interviewed married women who ended a planned pregnancy after it went catastrophically wrong. One was carrying a fetus whose brain had grown outside the skull. Another had endured months of unexplained and uncontrollable bleeding, only to discover after her abortion that the placenta was breaking up and being passed from her body.
The medical conditions these women suffered might or might not have been considered purely physical under a restrictive abortion law that a state legislature — or the U.S. Congress — might pass. Their lives weren’t in direct jeopardy; the pregnancies were. They agonized over their choice. Did they feel “blue”? No. It was much, much worse than that.
A campaign spokesman said Obama made the point about “feeling blue” to show that women do not make abortion decisions lightly. I do not question Obama’s support for abortion rights; he’s been clear that he supports keeping abortion legal.
But I do wonder why a candidate praised for his rhetorical gifts talks about women in the way that he does. During the primary campaign, he said Hillary Clinton launched political attacks on him “periodically, when she’s feeling down.” He called a Detroit reporter “sweetie” when she was trying to ask him about job creation. Now he has incorporated a myth created by the right — that women who seek late-term abortions should not be allowed to do so if they are “feeling blue” — into his own lexicon. And this is enough to make me see red.
7. Stephen R. Maloney writes: “The absolutely critical point we need to get across to supporters of Sen. Clinton is that their votes for Obama ARE wanted, but their beliefs and principles are not respected or even considered. I wonder if even Sen. Clinton is fully aware of what’s going on, because it’s so unbelievable. The DNC doesn’t want competition at the convention. They want the coronation of Barack Obama in August and in November. People like Brazille, Dean, and their backers constantly denigrate the supporters of Sen. Clinton. Why? Because they don’t like or respect them — and don’t see them as having a real role in the Democratic Party. Donna Brazille in her e-mails and comments has repeatedly characterized a large segment of the Democratic base as a bunch of angry old women — and, worse, as racists. Some Dems I talk to believe they must have misheard the scorn/contempt directed at them. They have not misheard.”
8. Florida State Senator Is Dropping Lawsuit on Florida Delegates at Democratic National Convention Florida State Senator Steven Geller is about to drop his lawsuit, Geller v Democratic National Committee, because the Obama campaign has assured him that Obama will ask that the full Florida delegation be seated, with a full vote for each delegate. The lawsuit had been filed on May 22, 2008, in federal court in Miami. Will these delegates be allowed to vote for Hillary Clinton?
9. National Guard Rents 500-Plus Hotel Rooms For Democratic Convention
10. We need someone who will unite us:
http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p350/Evista_bucket/as-God-is-my-witness-600px2.jpg
11. A friend in Chelsea writes, “8th Avenue has been absolutely PLASTERED with large 11 x 17 yellow Obama leaflets to hire people for the Obama campaign, they are everywhere. It is illegal to tape leaflets all over public and private property. I took down many of them last night. I suggest if you see them up in your neighborhood that you call your precinct to complain and have them removed and issued a summons. The address and phone number on the leaflet is http://www.bringchange2008.org, and it says “call Sam” at 212-219-1502. I will be calling Sam to let him know what I think about how my neighborhood has been defaced with their leafletting rampage.
12. ROCK CONCERTS: The MSM keeps neglecting to mention that Obama’s speech in Berlin was preceded by a free rock concert with groups costing $100+ for a concert ticket — as it was in Portland (The Decembrists) months ago. It is part of the mythology of BO that he can attract huge crowds to his speeches, but a HUGE crowd without a free rock concert?
AND FINALLY,
Grim proving ground for Obama’s housing policy
The candidate endorsed subsidies for private entrepreneurs to build low-income units. But, while he garnered support from developers, many projects in his former district have fallen into disrepair.

There you have it -my rantings for tonight via FOR (Friends of Ricki)……lol
I have been searching for a report on how Dean’s visit today in Macon went..so far no story in the paper! lmao guess it was not too newsworthy!!
dean’s southern bus tour will probably increase voter registration among black southerners and in a general sense it is good thing to increase voter participation of those who have not been that involved in the process…
however, there is one detail to protesting at these stops by PUMAS that should be taken into consideration..
the MSM would love nothing better to show a bunch of screaming white people at mostly black rallies…
blacks will interpret such demos as nothing more than racist attacks against a black candidate by whites….
such protests must absolutely have significant black and minority representation to avoid MSM spinning..
a vote for obama is a vote against your interests…unless you are obama…
if this is not patently clear, you have forgotten to open your eyes and clean out your ears.
for those ultra rich supporters who are hoping to get a piece of the pie, please note that you spot is already reserved–under da bus.
He is an embarassment as a human being, much less a Democratic politician. I am scared as an American, a jew, and a woman.
If you follow his actions it is crystal clear that he is a race hating, self important, crooked individual. To those who profess to find his speeches ‘inspiring’ (note: They make me physically ill) remember that anyone can say anythinhg—LOOK TO HIS actions and then find the nearest barf bag.
I am insulted as a woman, an American, and a human being by his presence as a potential presidential candidate. I will NOT forget how I have been treated, and I will remember always with my money, my vote, and my allegiance. PUMA now, PUMA forever!!

Subject: Put Hillary Clinton’s Name In Nomination & Reform The Democrat Party!
xxxxxxxx
Columbus
Ohio
Democrat
I Affirm My Immediate Support and Call Upon Leadership of the
Democratic Party to firmly and publicly commit and call upon other
members to assure that not only a Roll Call is carried out at our
convention, but also that Hillary Clinton be placed upon the ballot
and placed in “NOMINATION”. I affirm that I will not support a
candidate or system which has clearly violated the principle of “equal
representation” upon which this country was founded. I further call
upon Democratic Leadership to immediately reform their nomination
system to assure that the inequality and disenfranchisement within the
party does not occur again. I affirm that I will not support Barack
Obama nor the methods by which he has obtained the “presumptive”
nomination. If the Democratic Leadership does not assure that Hillary
Clinton’s name be placed in nomination and immediately reform their
nomination system, then I will actively work to defeat a candidate
whom is not qualified and does not possess the judgment to be
commander in chief.
The above affirmation pretty much says it all for me except one more
thing to add: Beyond my disbelief and astonishment at the hijacking
of this Primary Season, I will no longer be a registered democrat
after this election season if Senator Clinton’s name is not entered
into nomination in more than a symbolic way. You may think that one
registered dem is no big deal - but think of the 18 million of us
that are angered, dismayed, appalled, saddened and betrayed by what used
to be the Democratic party.
Congrats to the Pumas in Charlotte that protested Dean. Good job.
Thank you to the ladies that made the large donation to Puma. Your money will be put to good use.
Welcome to all the new Pumas I have been seeing on here.

mzebest;
His visit to the wall was not on his schedule, and the campaign didn’t know anything about it. He left at pre-dawn and it was still dark. There shouldn’t have been “dozen of people there to meet him”. When you leave that early; you don’t want a crowd.
That should have been a time between him and God for sacred prayer at the Wall, and to leave his prayer note. It would seem that he wanted it to be a private, and solemn time; otherwise he wouldn’t have left that early in the morning.
The Rabbi, secret police, and maybe a few of his reporters should have been the only people necessary to accompany him.
He is using propaganda to control the way people think.

Nite Texassherry!
good night everyone…. eyelids are heavy.
Good work today.
Night LiberyPuma
I haven’t seen any African Americans at Dean’s bus stops where he addresses the recruiters and press… and, if they insist, PUMAs.
Besides, the PUMA questions and signs aren’t racist… they address our concerns, our cause.
Nite Texassherry!
nite all my posts aren’t working..tired of trying for tonight have a great Sunday!
At this point…we’ve been called every name in the book. Who gives a crap.
#175–Curious about the tech difficulties at this end. Not complaining Murphy–alot of us are having problems with are posts getting on w/o getting the 404 web error. It is really annoying after you have made a good point off the top of your head and then it goes into the 404 zone. Anyway–understand Sunshinelvr! (counting slowly 1..2..3..4..5..) submit
I just listened to the replay of Murphy’s program. I found it re-energizing, which I needed because it is hard for me to maintain my initial intensity…which I suspect is what was expected of us(that time would wear us down) when it was said we should and would get over it.
I felt discouraged before we entered the current Iraq War. It didn’t seem to matter how we got there, no matter the deception, just that it was started…because once in, then the problems would be worked out…or not.
Same with BO, getting into the White House regardless of deceptive methods, is the goal. Then he can reign.
As for Hillary, my thoughts have been that the unspoken reason (unspoken by her) was to be in the wings when the House of Barack imploded. This is not a new idea, and has been mentioned here often.
I wonder if she will allow her name to be put into nomination even if the 300 signatures are obtained. I imagine the pressure the week before the convention will be of Category 5 hurricane force. Perhaps the hurricane will be given a name beginning with “O”…maybe Oprah, in homage to her.
Keeping my fingers crossed that this will go through. Like the socks in my dryer, I think my submissions are gathered by fairies and taken to another dimension.

[[ Hello, all,
I have been away for the last week so I wanted to just check in and see what has been happening. Apparently quite a bit! I was just in the UK–nobody much mentioned Obama. However, I was sickened and frightened when I saw the headlines about the 200,000 in Berlin.]]
A lot of those folks were there for a rock concert and a beer fest freebie. Same like in Oregon.
They weren’t all there either for him to to hear him.
It was a photo-op pure and simple to try to establish his foreign relations CREDENTIALS. But what person in the right mind would walk away with the conclusion that going to a rock concert signifies that you are ready or capable of being our president.
LilyMaid:
“Like the socks in my dryer, I think my submissions are gathered by fairies and taken to another dimension.”
Love it.
Actually, I think they were taken to my house, because I seem to have all these socks that don’t have partners.
like it or not.. politics in america is to a large extent is based on MSM coverage and interpretation (spin)…
intentions are fine but either you learn how to play the game of politics and that means being proactive and prepared…in the USA either you learn to deal with the MSM or your finished..intentions good or not..besides that someone has to think of all possible scenarios..are we serious or not? or are we just massaging ourselves here just to feel good about ourselves in our comfortable little cacoons?
i’m sorry if i am popping some peoples little bubbles here but someone has to think of these things..
I am very serious about stopping the Obama machine and I take this stuff seriously
Hard as it is to do, must go to sleep now so I can get up early and try to avoid reading the New York Times and other papers I get that upset me on a daily basis!
But I fear I am OCD with PumaPac and hope when Hillary becomes President, her health plan will cover this malady.
Night all…..Lorelai
Driving home from work tonight (I’m on the W coast) I happened to hear Maxine Waters on Air America (Peter B. Collins show I think… don’t listen to the station often) and she was asked about PUMAs and she went on at length…
She basically said we are all old feminists who have done all the work for equal rights and raising our families and now the kids are all gone and maybe the husband has left us for a younger woman (Yes, she actually said that!) and we’re left all alone and we put everything into our support for Hillary and can’t let go. But she thinks we’ll come around…
Think we should send Rep. Waters some informative e-mails as a prowl?
I got all mine done this week btw but couldn’t get the Friday fax through to many papers, just a few.
DWP…lol…seems others have failed posting attempts too. I followed your advice of the other day, and copied my post before submitting it.

No, it was just a quote from the article linked in post #40. Says a calender hanging on BO’s stepmother’s wall says “The Kenyan Wonder Boy in the US”. I was just being snarky . Although I’ve heard he holds dual citizenship in Kenya, and according to wording of the law at the time, he may not actually be a citizen of the US… but let’s not get that one started again. Sorry I brought it up. It always just ends up in a dead end.

so far no one has told us where I am wrong? all i’m getting here are just personal put-downs because I am “negative”??? what the hell is that??
I am posing questions and ideas for consideration..
do we want to be like the Obama people and dismiss out of hand any opposing or different ideas and opinions? is that what you want?
by the way during the california primary I worked my tail off to support hillary and I personally marshalled and influenced approximately 100 votes from relatives and friends for her,i have donated $150.00 of my own money to her cause and here you are telling me here I am a distraction???
Hopefully it has just started - Rep Jim Matheson of Utah - an Obama Superdelegate has just announced he will NOT attend the Democratic Convention in Denver - his reasoning is that his 4th grader starts the first day of school that day — maybe we can get some more to do this….

I’d like to believe that Hillary will agree to have her name placed on the ballot and in nomination if the signatures are there. After all, she only suspended her campaign. She didn’t end it. And Harold Ickes was adamant during the May 31 RBC meeting that Hillary would take it to the Denver convention. Everyone is lying low now. But come Denver, we may see Hillary’s staunches surrogates rise up with surprising intensity.
Has everybody signed this petition by the way? I was saddened to see there are only 6278 signatures.

Hi there, nice to see you. I think I have some of your socks!
OK, Pumas. I have reviewed all of freepumas posts here and see no reason for all the acrimony. What he/she stated is a valid point. We should try and have diverse groups of protesters here in the South to preclude a charge of racism by the MSM. Have we so suddenly forgotten how Bill’s “fairytale” and Hillary’s MLK/LBJ comments were spun? Let’s cut the negativity loose. As a southerner, I feel Freepuma made a valid point. Can we all just get along?
Oh… forgot to mention… No one should count John McCain out, or say that he is not running a good campaign, like some of the media have been doing, like they did to Hillary.
I got in a snail mail letter about 3 days ago, written in form, stating his position and asking for a donation. Then again, I am both a registered republican and have also made one donation to his campaign. Did that on the day of Unity NH as a silent protest.
So the man is just using very traditional means to reach out to his people. And nothing better than good old US postal service.

Lorelai… I rarely listen to Air America, can’t stand to hear them gloat about Precious but my jazz station wouldn’t come in clearly…
There was an upside though… the next guest on the show whose name I didn’t get said that O had an abysmal record in both the Ill. house and the US Senate on nuclear issues and reiterated both his and Axelrod’s ties to Exelon. She went on at length and w/ specifics about how he’d caved to pressure from the nuclear industry regarding nuclear safety at leaking plants in Ill.
The host of course could offer nothing more than “interesting, interesting” in reply, didn’t encourage her or dig deeper w/ questions… guess Air America is now part of the MSM!
#156 freepuma
your #156 post seems to bring up a good point. It would be nice to have other races and genders represented with the white female PUMAs because that generalization has been slammed around so much by the media. (Not to mention larger numbers would send a clearer message.) However, the videos I’ve seen so far at these stops don’t really seem to tilt one way or the other, racially speaking.
“What he/she stated is a valid point. We should try and have diverse groups of protesters here in the South to preclude a charge of racism by the MSM.”
He made a valid point in terms of the way MSM spins and reports, but, I’ll be damned if I’m going to start checking the numbers and ratios of skin tones
