According to Riverdaughter, Women Count PAC has gone over to the dark side. Ah, well. That’s a shame. They are urging members to attempt to change the Democratic platform from WITHIN the Obama Movement, by attending local platform meetings with a positive (yet assertive!) attitude of optimism and pragmatism. Best of luck! Wish I could say that their cheeriness inspires me with new hope, but . . . I’m afraid not.
According to Women Count PAC, this is what we should be requesting that our masters, oops! I mean our “leadership” include in the platform:
“We acknowledge that the 2008 Democratic primary election exposed pervasive gender bias in the media during the campaign. From now on, when we see examples of this behavior, our Party leadership will take immediate and public steps to condemn it.”
And if they don’t acknowledge? Then what? And what does “take immediate and public steps to condemn it” even mean? Some DNC apparatchik will be tasked with forming a committee to dialogue around issues of biased representation with the goal of forming a task force, drafting six revised versions of a statement, and presenting a power-point show at a meeting sometime next February? Uh-huh. Which will likely put WCP in the position of our old friend Minnie, every time ol’ Mickey let her down:
Me? I guess I’m content to stay FAR away from cozy, insider platform sessions where every rough edge of conflict is sanded off in advance to protect the sensibilities of the cossetted weaklings who don’t even pretend to lead anymore, every bright spot of intelligent insight is dulled down by the complacent myopia of privilege, and every spark of courageous challenge is quenched by the implacable dreariness of cowards.
Or, to put it more bluntly, rather than begging the Obama Movement to let me sit at the Table of Greatness and Mighty Transformative Power, presided over by our Dear Leader, I’d rather reflect on images like this and make MY OWN PLANS.

Hey Folks,
PROWL coming up soon.
Today is another day!
This is the current post… so, again, This is for Maryland Puma… if you are on the thread today.
I had another thought for the list you are compiling.
I was/have been disturbed by the differing approach and attitudes of the DNC, high ranking democrats and the media towards the Obama supporters and the HRC supporters.
Even now, the HRC supporters are expected/pressured to fall in line and vote democratic party. Otherwise we are told we are not true democrats, questioned on why we won’t support Obama, given the similarity of platforms etc etc.
However… if that is the opinion and position… why was that reasoning NOT appled to the Obama supporters when they said, ‘never Hillary’, or when AAs threatened to black out the vote, and the newly registered threatened to stay home, if Obama were NOT the nominee?
Shouldn’t their party loyalty and committment to the democratic platform have been likewise questioned? Shouldn’t they have been pressured into voting for the party nominee? Shouldn’t the DNC and the media have questioned WHY they would stay home (in such an important election) JUST because their candidate were not the nominee?
Instead, these “threats” were given/used as a reason why the superdelegates should vote for Obama. Otherwise the voters who voted for him would feel disenfranchised and stay home. The same thinking is not being applied to the voters for HRC.
Second, related to this, is the comment made by Michelle in an interview.
Michelle Obama, scrunched up her nose and said she would have to “think” about voting for HRC… were Hill the nominee. Again same thing. The DNC, Pelosi, Brazile and the media were silent on this. No one questioned Michelle’s lack of loyalty to the democratic party, and no one asked her ‘how not’ in such an important election.
Imagine if Bill Clinton had said that… or if any other democratic party leader loyal to HRC had said that.
And finally… also tied in… was the misrepresentation of the role of the superdelegates.
I never understood the role of superdelegates to be simply to bolster the delegate count of the candidate with a slight lead in pledged delegates. If that WERE the case why have them at all? Simply remove the requirement of having to meet the minimum pledged delegate count.
But again, the Obama campaign, the DNC, Brazile and Pelosi all presented that as the way the superdelegates should vote. Using the feeling of disenfranchisement of the AAs and the newly registered democrats, as a justification. The media then pounced on that and spun it. Again… never questioning WHY those voters would opt to stay home and/or abandon the democratic party and a nominee of that party if it were to be HRC.
They are certainly questioning the HRC supporters now for taking that position.
For ME… it is not so much that HRC lost… but HOW she lost that fueled my personal protest and defection from the party after 35 years. It was the unfairness and the bias and the disrespect of one candidate.
Otherwise, I would now be backing the nominee of the party just like always. I am not as thrilled about McCain as many on the PUMA PAC threads and I am having a heck of a (hard) time considering voting for him. If Hill had lost fairly and Obama had won fairly, I’d be happy voting democratic. It is the PROCESS that I am protesting.
Good morning PUMA’s, finally got power back after bad storms went through Ohio.
Does anyone have an idea of how many of HRC’s 18 Million voters are actually NOT voting for Obama?
I know we are no longer 18M strong… as I personally know many people for Hill who are now voting for the party nominee regardless.
It would be nice to quantitatively know the level of support for Hill… and the number of Lifelong Democrats who are now defecting.
Murphy – thanks for the post. The more I read silly, nieve almost childlike thinking like this, It only strengthens my reserve to educate the people and to fight harder for Democracy!
Rise Hillary, Rise!
My letter to Hillary at HillPac,
Dear Senator Clinton: One of the things that matters to me is the housing crises that has families being put out on the streets. But what matters to me the most is that you become the ELECTED DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE at the convention in Denver. Senator Clinton, please allow your name to be put in nomination. I know you have asked your supporters to support B.O. but that is not going to happen. Not because we disrespect you but because this country needs you. With the Honorable John McCain this country will get more of the same that we have had for the last 8 years and we all know how that has turned out. With B.O. and his flip flops he will manage to set this country back in time like no other leader has done before. He has NO experience, he is too arrogant, and he lacks the Heart and Wisdom that it takes to be a leader. I will NOT vote for B.O. and that matters to me.
Doing ok – Drac – just hunkering down to see what weather will befall us today – power out is the worse – its hot right now.
I see on the post downstairs that we have another supporter of one major email to Hillary’s supporters – lets do it -
But getting off the computer now as lightning in the not too far distance – back later.
#4 for fair play
Hi FFP, as of today there are about 2.5 Million involved in PUMA that WILL NOT vote for the chosen one. I’m sure there are many more, but these are the only numbers to go by…..
for fair play — couldnt agree more. Not too many mccain lovers here. some may be holding their noses a LITTLE less tightly than others if they choose to pull the lever for McCain in protest, but most are APPALLED that we have been PUT in this position by our party in the first place.
If Hillary had lost fair and square (and we are all grown-up to know that no election is ever perfect, so fair and square doesnt mean perfect, it just means fair by the relative standard of all past primary contests in memory) then there is no way in hell the Puma Movement would have exploded. There is no WAY that we’d have one million visits in 6 weeks.
We are not making this up. The process was absolutely, positively hijacked by a confluence of negative forces — some of them acting consciously and in unison with others, most of them occuring spontaneously and uncontrolled.
#4 for fair play
I’m sure we will know after November 4.
#3 go_Ohio_Lady where abouts in Ohio did you get bad storms I live in Ohio and we didn’t even have a drop of rain. Great post Murphy
Good morning, Breaking News people!!!
There are talking about PUMAs stalking Obambi in CNN, check it out!
This is a bummer of an article
I hope no one else goes over to the “dark side”.
I found this over at uppity women…

Hi Murphy and everyone–
I’ve missed being able to communicate–major computer problems. Supposedly, this blog site has become so HUGE that my old dinosaur can’t open it anymore–amazing! (I’m borrowing somebody else’s today.)
——–bmw60, whenever you return on line—I am sorry for the loss of your mom.
——–Delphine from France – I had more luck with the European emails. I will do some directly when I get there Friday (after I kiss and hug my new grandbaby). I will also check in with you Murphy for Prowls and such, and if I observe any interesting commentary from my temporary location, I will send them to you.)
——-Did the PROWL yesterday.
——-I think I’m falling in love with Lou Dobs…he’s on FIRE with the liberal media.
OHHHHHHHHH BO is getting a little nippy on CNN (he is getting asked questions) and someone had the nerve to question him on changing his position…
A lengthy article about PUMA on the front webpage of CNN.com

I’m not sure there wouldn’t have been a Puma movement if Hilary had lost fair and square. Too many people are realizing that Obama is wrong for our country (and the world). It might have been a different movement, for sure. But the need to keep Obama out of the White House would have been the same.
As I watch this campaign go on, I sometimes wonder why I ever believed any of the democrats before. When I see people signing their name ObamAmerican, I get a chill to the bone!
I watch this ego driven olgiarch go around the world at taxpayer’s expense, acting like he is already president (inviolation of Federal Law) and I just get queasy with disbelief.
Bush should have him arrested when he gets off the plane. The very nerve of him going into Europe and the Middle East and getting endorsements from other world leaders! The very nerve of these other world leaders to do so!
I am disappointed that some in our little flock have abandoned us. This was bound to happen. They truly believe they can do this important work from within. I doubt it.
We must struggle on, our nation is at risk.
Heneri
gotta go mow my moms lawn be back later.. all take care and keep up the great work…See ya
I would take McCain anyday over Obama. He is more moderate and will work across party lines. I have never voted for a Republican….but if Obama is the nominee….this will be the first time for me to vote Republican.
We need you Hillary!!!!
Obama has got to go!!!!
#11 slyt2, I’m in Youngstown, located between Cleveland and Pittsburgh, PA..
Hi Everyone,
I just did yesterdays prowl. Better late then never. Also responded to Senator Clinton’s email stating what my issue is…the DNC, the media, and their SELECTED nominee.
I will not fall in line…I will also not vote for McCain. Hillary is my only candidate and I will write her in. (NJ allows write-ins.) I know of several Hillary supporters who are voting for THE CHOSEN ONE-but I will never bend.
Someone posted this link yesterday on Obama’s gaff with the Germany speech. It’s a fun news report to watch:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPc4OjLKXpY
At the end of the report… she mentions her website for more on the T-shirt contest. There seems to be lots of interesting items to check out on her website. Check it out:
http://michellemalkin.com/2008/07/22/cliff-notes-version-of-obama-press-conference-in-jordan/
Gooooooooooooooooood morning, P-Town!
I can see why you folks are so proud of your prowling — I did my first set yesterday and couldn’t wait to come back to the blog and report on the feeling of empowerment that it stirred in me…
…only to find that the blog was inaccessible.
I am glad that my first thought (some form of dastardly Obamatage) was not the cause of the outage.
Made me realize and appreciate what this site truly represents and how much our collective aspirations for improved representation are tied up in the PUMA movement.
On a positive note, I had dinner with two very bright college students a few weeks back and the talk turned to politics — I braced myself for what I thought would be impassioned support for Mr. HopeNChange, only to be pleasantly surprised to hear him described as “Smug, arrogant and phony.”
Further, I was told that Lord Obama’s method of clipping off that last syllable as he pontificates is beginning to be mocked by many college-age people and was treated to an excellent and comedic riff along that line.
Now, that gave me a wee bit of HOPE!
My post disappeared…
The trouble is, it WAS NOT JUST the media. Brazile, Pelosi, Richardson and the DNC all played into it.
The democrats themselves fueled the myth that Hillary was being racist, a war monger, an old washington insider, staying in the race just as a spoiler for Obama, was waiting to see if Obama were assassinated prior to dropping out, was dividing the party etc….
Not only didn’t the DNC put a stop to it…The DNC and democratic leadership itself was ugly, disrespectful and insulting to HRC with their put downs, criticisms, calls on her to quit, and their comments about entitlement etc.

[[Did I read on here that there are a few other fellow firefighters? I’m the assistant chief at a volunteer department in east central Indiana. I’ve been doing it for about 5 years now (yes, I moved up fast), along with the EMS service.]]
Hey, my friend, welcome. Yes, I’ve been a volunteer firefighter for 27 years in a predominantly paid fire department in California.
slyt2 — not surprised. I hate the word bitch, hate it hate it hate it. BUT, let’s do a quick comparison, using the dictionary meaning of the derogatory sense of the word:
Unpleasant
Spiteful
Overbearing
Malicious
Irritable
Cranky
Rude
Arrogant
Crude
Hmmm … doesn’t sound like Hillary to me, but ON THE OTHER HAND, it sure as heck does sound like one of the other major candidates. . .
you decide.

If your choice is based on whom is more willing to cross party lines, McCain is not the best choice but he is as you say, more moderate.

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/07/23/preston.puma/index.html
My feeling is, they will be more inclined to listen if there is a price to pay… like losing elections.
Unfortunately, if Obama wins this election, anyway, these obscene, dirty, disrespectful, demeaning campaign tactics will be seen as a viable way to victory.
The precedent for successfully using divisive, sexist, hateful strategies will be set and going forward, eliminating your competition by unfair tactics and bias will be the norm.
And along with fair campaigning, democracy will be dead.
#4 for fair play
There’s no way to really know how strong the anti-obama movement is until election day. BUT I do know it’s stronger than the electronic polling methods tell. My elder family members and their many friends have always been die-hard democrats are refusing to vote for the obamanation – they are very vocal about it. They tell me every day about his newest antics and how he’s “no doubt the anti-christ”…. But these people won’t ever get counted on internet polls etc. because it just isn’t their mode of communication. You can bet though, that they know how to cast a vote in November. My father will get his cane and ride his motorized chair to that voting booth and do his part to make sure we don’t end up with this arrogant, empty suit puppet for president.
Women Count PAC has a poor knowledge of history. Political changes NEVER come from within. All the platforms of our Democratic Party that we love from universal healthcare, Social Security, even to a 40 hour workweek were originally proposed by either the Socialistic or Communistic Parties. Left to their own devices, the Washington insiders would have us working 80 hour weeks for 5 cents an hour with no healthcare, vacation, medical insurance, ot retirement plan. The trickle-down effect doesn’t work. All these women will accomplish is to add more numbers to the Obama a**-kissing groupies.
I have to go back to the Leadership!! if it doesn’t come from the leadership, it will never be there. You cannot change something, unless you stand up and let your voice be heard.
“…For ME… it is not so much that HRC lost… but HOW she lost that fueled my personal protest and defection from the party after 35 years. It was the unfairness and the bias and the disrespect of one candidate.
Otherwise, I would now be backing the nominee of the party just like always. If Hill had lost fairly and Obama had won fairly, I’d be happy voting democratic. It is the PROCESS that I am protesting.”
That’s so right on!!
But for me as I said before,I will not vote for a man I do not TrUST and has no experience to take on the most important job in this country. Someone who was in Human Resources said yesterday, that if BO came in to her office and she went over his resume, she would have been cordial, but he would never get the job.
I FOR ONE WILL VOTE FOR MCCAIN…..THERE IS NO OTHER CHOICE IF WE WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT *61 DOES NOT BECOME POTUS….. I KNOW IT’S HARD, I TOO WILL HOLD MY NOSE. BUT, I WILL DO WHAT I THINK IS RIGHT FOR THE FUTURE OF MY COUNTRY. HILLARY IS HOLDING HER NOSE, OTHERS IN THE PAST HELD THEIRS AND NOW IT IS TIME TO SUCK UP OURS AND DO WHAT IS SURE TO DEAFEAT *61 – VOTE FOR MCCAIN, BESIDES, HE’S NOT SO BAD – AT LEAST HE IS A TRUE AMERICAN.
I maintain that there are closet-PUMAs out there. Whenever I’m posting my flyers or wearing my “Party Unity My A**” T-shirt, I have people coming up to me and saying that they will NEVER vote for Obama but
don’t want their families/husbands/children to know.
This is why the “exit polls” were so far off during the Primaries.

[[Someone who was in Human Resources said yesterday, that if BO came in to her office and she went over his resume, she would have been cordial, but he would never get the job.]]
In most organization, BO would have been lucky to get so much as a form letter saying that he didn’t meet the minimum qualifications.

fully agree with you. The OB could not make his case to the citizens of the USA so he has to pressure us from the outside forcing us to look at him thru the eyes of foreign nations . The only reason why he gets attention is because the world is fed up of Bush and is scared S@#@less of more republican “imperialism”.
Hey, PUMAs. Please follow this link to send an email to Hillary about what matters most to you – I sent her a note about how much I want her nominated by the Dem Party for President.
http://www.hillpac.com/action/issues/?sc=2498&utm_source=2498&utm_medium=e
for fair play. You have written my thoughts precisely. Thank you. Dear God help us all.
Hey, Firebelle. I saw that comment too by the HR person. I totally agree.
#25 fairplay- I totally agree, I am boycotting the DNC more than the media or even Barry.
The leadership was abysmal during the primary. Members of her own party calling her and Bill racists, members of her own party calling for her to drop oout for the sake of unity.
And then the farce on May 31st.
They have been an unbelievably despicable group of sorry sacks and conducted themselves as poorly as any group I have ever seen.
I too would have been disappointed if she had lost in a fair election but would have supported the winner.
I will not support a candidate that was selected for me.
I haven’t been here pontificating in awhile but the above illustrates the exact reason why I will vote McCain. I want my vote to pack as much punch as possible.
Pumas – Check out Pumapac raning on Alexa – I have worked with the internet to get internet advertising exposure for my clients for the last 15 years – to have this ranking as you will see when you look at it – is unbelieveable – if my clients got down to 800,000 ranking it was great – and they got business -
so a lot lot lot lot of people are reviewing this site – I have not spent any time today YET to research it – but usually there are places on there to go and vote – lets all vote so this to be number one site – our new goal by the convention – and why am I promoting this you ask – why thank you for asking – this GETS ATTENTION from a different variety of people and FREE ADVERTISING -that will get the word out – trust me on this one it works – we want to be recognized throughout the country – Dogpile is another good one – but this one first – please folks – now that I have reread what I printed here – don’t know if they mean 20,934 or 209,347 or 2,093,475 – all you have to do is click on it and it counts one vote – the more traffic you receive the more popular you become and the more popular you become – the more Google, Yahoo, AltaVista, MSN, Ask.com – wants YOU and you become the top of each search engine or at least on the front page -

Sorry Puma Pac “rating” not raning
Hey, GoSue4Hill. Please say all that powerful stuff to Hillary in an email following the link I have upstream a few entries.
To make sure that the election is not stolen,McCain must have lots of votes.Because of it,IMO,it would be better to vote for him than writing Hillary’s name on the ballot. If he wins against Obama every one will know that it was the work of Hillary’s followers. PUMAS!!!!!
My vote will be for McCain as well. I just don’t see any more powerful weapon to put obama in his place. A write in vote, though symbolic, will still translate to a throw away vote in the final tally (and in some cases will even end up being counted as a vote FOR obama) and I just can’t justify that. I only get one vote, so I have to make it as effective as possible.
MPDamon #34 — absolutely correct.
hate to say it folks since I know many, if not most, of us are otherwise quiet every day average American adults with jobs and families and mortgages and pets to take care of BUT what we are doing IS radical. I’m betting that we have many 60′s era movement alums in our ranks (yay!) but I also know that there are thousands of us here in Puma PAC who are standing up to the powers that be for the FIRST TIME in their lives.
Feels pretty good, no?
OB speeches abroad are flat, disjointed, just nails on chalkboard to me. He has no message, he has no clue of what he is talking about. Just an image of incompetence and weakness.
Sorry again – Pumas – now that I have “read” which I should have done before posting above – most of it is just a blog that was picked up that will do nothing more than cause more dialogue on the subject – not my intention – if you have the time go to the search engine – look for one that is ALL POSITIVE towards our cause – or Riverdaughters and do exactly what I suggested by clicking on it and giving it a rating – it truly will bring it up to all the search engines as they are dying for heavy traffic which we can and will do -
Sorry for that post – Murphy you can delete the portion that has a link – did not even see that until I read it….
Drac
Murphy…
great images to re- remind us. The media is still acting dumb about it too…
What sexism? What gender bias? What disrespect?
That is what is so upsetting when it was so prevalent. pervasive and rampant. We all saw it, but the Media, charged with the responsibility of reporting… somehow missed it. Even as they participated in it- MSNBC?

I think you were mentioning me yesterday to woo over the young disaffected obots. Sorry I can’t help on that one, I’m not as young as Matt, and have not venture out to other sites at all. My skills are with graphics, and will attempt to do some more graphics for Puma next week or so.

A polite “Thanks But No Thanks” letter is the best Little Barry’s paperwork would generate.
But it wouldn’t have come from “her office”…
…since I am one of your proud male PUMA’s!
Big Cheshire-Puma grin on my face, as I type (heehee)!
poor hillary. i think its true what was said in the post a lot of women are conditioned to think because of sexism that they must be subordinate and always compromise. i don’t see what the women’s pac aims to achieve. this is not abt throwing tantrums and by joining the bo movement they making it ten times harder for the next women to run for president since the sexism was condoned by a lot of women who still unfortunately are indoctrinated. i mean the way the way hillary was presssurised to drop out of the election reminds me of the situation in zimbabwe where mugabe eliminated all opponents before the election.
Mimi — right on sister, groovy!
GO-Ohio — I read recently that if Baby Boomers were their own country, they’d have the 11th largest economy in the world.
Bigger than Russia’s, India’s, Sweden’s, and Saudi Arabia’s
So I dont know about “old” exactly, but you guys sure are successful and productive!
As difficult as it will be, and it WILL be hard, my husband and I will be voting for McCain in November (if Hillary is not the Democratic nominee) only because we know it’s what it will take to keep Obama form being POTUS. We are both life-long Democrats and have NEVER voted for Republican presidential candidate before.
Hillary ’08
or McCain ’08, Hillary ’12

PA PUMA
i mean the convention is on par with whats happening in zimbabwe all other nominees are non-existent or silenced in some way so his basically running against himself
Yes Murph, a lot of us 60′s & 70′s radicals are here and as I said to you on the phone when I first talked to you, I haven’t been this riled up since the Vietnam War!
Now, i just read that the DNC , for the FIRST time in it’s history will be opening the convention with a Prayer!!!
What is going on here? WTF!!! Not only will they be eating all the colors , but they will open with a prayer?
Whose party is this? Well just ask Leah Daughtery, since she’s the one that will say it (oh ..that’s Rev. Daughtery , another of BO’s Reverends.)
OK – I will shut up for now as I am just making a fool of myself – will take this on as my project for today – research their entire site – Alexa – for now – just become familiar with it – I have now found under the title of Movers and Shakers that PumaPac is moving up with viewers – as Murphy mentioned over 1 million here already – it shows NoQuarters (not aware of them) ranked as 38,385 Sodahead (not aware of them) as 9,242, and PUMAPAC as 30 – sure have heard of them – will research and figure out which one that gives us the most positive spin – sorry that I wasted three blogs today – guys – I will quietly as I growl sink back to the den with the computer . Ugh
good mornin’, all…
just wondering if anyone here has good photoshop/media ability to cut and paste (essentially) Obama’s image into those above where Hillary is?… seems to me this would be:
a). hilarious
b). as offensive to Him as it is to us
c). Jesus christ – the h in Him above came out as a capital and i do not believe i did it consciously…F**k save me now i musst’ve been slipped some kool-aid
(or is it some bizarre acid flash back?)
so,, sorry i no longer have ability to do the cuts/paste but if someone else thought this worthy, i think it would be a great experiment
and, thank you everybody here for helping me to keep feeling sane!
Yes, thank you Madlogic – computer working now thanks to all the pumas here – but as you can see above it got me into trouble by posting before reading what I was posting –
You are still 60 years plus younger than me Madlogic –
what attracted you to our cause – thats what we need to get over here to us from his side – those 30 and under groups -
Listening to BO speak without his teleprompters is like watching paint dry. My 4yo g/s can put sentences together better than BO.
OK… WHAT ABOUT A PROWL OF “ALL” OF US SENDING EMAILS TO HOWARD, NANCY, DONNA, SUPERS, EVEN HILLARY JUST WITH THE SUBJECT LINE OF
“I WILL NOT VOTE OBAMA” IN THIS ELECTION ??
Maybe if they see how many of us are working towards this, it might make a dent.
Thoughts?
just an FYI -in case this hasn’t been posted before-the Denver Group has placed an ad in the Chicago Tribune -take a look when you get a chance-it is updated version of the FDR one

Hi, I’m from Australia and even I can see the biased MSM from here even. I don’t believe in Hype, and are self reliant. Politicians are politicains, entertainers are entertainers, we should not be confused or have them mixed up.
With computers, it is just a matter of trial and error, and eventually we’ll get it right.

Talk about the “urgency of now”! This our country, these are our lives and the future of our children. To step back and say, “Oh, we can change this from within”. OMG!
Right, let’s step back into the submissive, I really don’t have any real power mode, and trust their lead. Let’s go into conference rooms, drink coffee and eat cookies, and “talk about it”. (We can see how effective NOW has become.) By doing so, condoning the violent attack against Senator Clinton, forgetting that all was directed at them, not just as women, but as human beings, as well. The time for just “talking about it” is over. The fantasy of “working from within” is just that, a fantasy.
Will someone please go kiss them and wake them up?
This whole travesty as ripped me out of my comfort zone, and I am not going back until we have our Democracy back and the respect we deserve as human beings on this planet.
Not going to be near a computer for the next 8 days-I will be going through PUMA withdrawals. Do an extra Prowl for me. Rock on PUMAS!!!
and , yes… for fair play… your posts today have mirrored almost exactly my own thoughts/feelings. i am not usually prone to wishing defeat for a Democrat but i agree fully – a win for him under these circumstances could be disastrous not only for the “women’s movement”, but for DEMOCRACY as we thought we knew it ( i hear bag-pipes and ol’ Danny boy playing in my mind). I am fired up b/c i foolishly let myself tune into the news – can’t believe the free ride he is getting…even when they talk about McCain, they show Obama!!! kudos to Katie Couric and FOx news for starting to make him sweat a bit! has any other PresumedNominee been followed like this…gotten a taxpayer paid election trip to overseas(no less) and had all this free media time?

Yes, kudos to Katie!
Oh – this project could be more time consuming than looking up SD info for Trish -
ONE THING FOR SURE – Pumacans – be careful what you write as it might and as I can attest – gets printed EVERYWHERE – so many posts all over the place – and of course – its fodder for those that want to discredit the wonderful job that our Murphy has done for us – that is the last thing we want to do now that we are so close to a victory.

OK the “opening with a prayer” thing makes me mad. Not because I’m an atheist, BUT because I’m not. I think the whole prayer thing is just to court Christian voters. Prayer is truly important to many (maybe most) Americans and should not be flashed around to garner votes. Not to mention the fact that there will be so many faiths represented there…who will they be praying to?
BTW I was around for the 60′s/70′s too. Forgot how much a good protest can do, to get the blood pumping (or boiling) again.
When I tried to post #79 and error came up twice!!!

Gallup Poll headlines today:
A large majority of citizens in the United Kingdom, France, and Germany say it makes a difference to their country who is elected U.S. president, and a majority in each of these countries choose Barack Obama over John McCain for U.S. president
The more he goes off script, the more boring he becomes and more obvious it is how empty he is.
I just hope the people wake up in time to prevent the biggest mistake of our lives, by putting this man in office.
Hey Dragonfly – made a mess of my postings today – think I will go back into the den and curl up – miss my Trish today —–

#84 Goalucard4Hill.
The folks around the world have been watching too much CNN for sure
Elections have been manipulated and corrupted for as long as I can remember. For me, the difference is the manipulations have become more obvious and “in your face”, Bush v Gore comes to mind as an example, where there were numerous points of fraud, from excluding Nader from the debates, even though he won the required minumum of votes to qualify for participation; changing the due dates for mail-in ballots, the scrubbed Florida voter rolls, Rovian dirty tricks, to the SCOTUS, that broke Florida’s leg and then turned around and blamed them for limping, etc.
I’m a Kucinich Democrat, although I wouldn’t be a Democrat at all if I believed the third parties of my choice had a snowball in hell’s chance to ever win an election.
I can’t say with any certainty how I will actually vote in November, with one exception, I will not be voting for Obama. Voting for Obama would be rewarding the result of the corruption of the Democratic Party’s primaries processes, including the threats of violence from “blood in the streets” Brazile (bring it on, mofo.), the chaos and violations of the caucuses, Obama’s lawyers interceding to disallow another primary in Michigan, awarding Obama Senator Clinton’s delegates,
halving Florida’s votes, paying off Super Delegates to garner their votes, the DNC/RBC dragging Obama over the finish line, etc.
In the beginning, voting for either Senator Clinton or Obama would have been an easy choice. Unfortunately, even if Obama was a bonafide nominee, as his campaign continues, it is apparent that he doesn’t stand for anything, he contradicts himself at every turn, blames others for criticisms directed at him, is disloyal to his allies, doesn’t have any firm policies or basic moral foundation. The boy’s endgame is to sit in the Oval office, nothing more. Power and greed and for the sake of power and greed.
The people with whom he allies himself as friends, business partners, political and spiritual counselors, do not reflect positively upon him. Stances and attitudes trickle down, his general population of thugs, goons, frat boys with serious mother issues, media with serious oedipal issues, misogynist, vile supporters are yet another poor reflection of their candidate.
All this to say: Unless Senator Clinton is the nominee, in all probability, In November, I will, as will most of my friends, be voting with a clear conscience, for McCain.
PS I find it strange, curious, suspicious, that a couple of people have asked the same question (how many will be voting for McCain) framed in almost the same way, within a day or two of each other. I’m suspicous by nature and experience. My suspicions may be unfounded, so I will not go there.
Okay, I’ve used up all my ink on this post… I’ll be quiet for the remainder of the day.
#79 BillieJo, thanks for the link. That was fun to watch. I too feel great optimism. We can get Hillary on the ballot in nomination in August!!

[[Very pleased that the CEO, USA resume analogy struck a chord.]]
Of course, it does. It struck me very early on that this guy couldn’t pass a job interview. He doesn’t understand what “accomplishments” are. He doesn’t know what “measurable results” are.
So what that he was a community organizer, for example. That’s a title, not an accomplishment.
So what that he sponsored bills that either didn’t pass or didn’t benefit his constituents.
And the one that got me the most was during an episode of CNN’s “American Morning,” when he was asked about his accomplishments that qualified him to be President. He spent his allotted time trash talking Hillary for her vote on Iraq. How does trash talking an opponent qualify him to be President?
As many others on this site have said before, most of us are more qualified to be President than he is.
I wrote this to a friend who is supporting Obama, thought I’d share it here:
Our country may very well not survive, at least not in a way we have always envisioned our nation. The powerful forces of the two party system have provided us with many problems. Reform is difficult, either from within or without an organization. The disassembling of our principles is very frightening to me. It has been going on for a very long time, but has accelerated at a lightening speed lately.
I am not prone to believe that the Norse are taking over. I knew a Norwegian exchange student in High school. He seemed like a fine fellow to me! But he was more practical in his thoughts than were we. I remember him being on the debate team. We would discuss things of an international nature while we traveled to various debate events. He predicted the fall of the communists in Russia. He believed the system would collapse from within. Sure enough (in spite of what the Republicans try to tell us) it did. Maybe we should ask them to come take over? We haven’t done nearly as well lately!
I am disgusted with our nation right now, both parties. I am angry as hell at my own party for their recent shenanigans. I am tired to the bone of the insider double dealing system that got us where we are today. I am sick of the deceptive methods of the current administration. I am absolutely hostile about the freedoms that have recently been snatched away from us in broad daylight. The patriot act, the recent FISA bill, the shuck and jive, song and dance about our security, our need to hide under a rock somewhere, blah, blah, blah, has gotten to me.
I will be 55 years old one month from today. I feel as rebellious as a 15 year old. I am angry in a way that I have never been angry before in my life. I wake each morning knowing that this mess has to be straightened out if our nation is to survive. It is now or never, as our nation is quickly evolving into some kind of monster that I cannot tolerate.
End of rant.

JUST HAD A THOUGHT….
WHY DON’T WE ASK SOMEONE IN THE BO CAMP TO ALLOW AN AVERAGE AMERICAN, PUMA DEMOCRAT TO INTERVIEW HIM. THAT WAY HE WON’T GET AWAY WITH ANY HALF ASSED ANSWERS. YOU KNOW MURPHY WILL CALL HIM ON IT!
63 Mary Beth613 on 07.23.08 at 11:20 am
Yes Murph, a lot of us 60’s & 70’s radicals are here and as I said to you on the phone when I first talked to you, I haven’t been this riled up since the Vietnam War!
Yo- Babyboomers!!!
I have told so many people the same thing! I have held my nose for every election except the Big Dog’s but have NEVER been this riled up voting since Robert Kenny! He died the night I cast my first vote.
How do you “change from within” a party whose leadership is not even selected thru Democratic means? If we each could vote for members of the DNC we would have a fighting chance in bringing about meaningful change. As it is, going “within” will only give the party even better opportunity to ignore our concerns.
So prove them right, be loyal to a party which isn’t even loyal to longtime party members. Be loyal to a party who dismisses you as someone having a little temper tantrum who will come back home before dinner. Join the party which punishes it own members by taking away their vote or counting someone else’s vote as greater than your own. Let them (the party bosses) select the as a nominee they want rather than elect a nominee democratically. You will not change things you will simply set there and be good little boys and girls.
I have waited along time for the Democratic Party to fulfill empty promises. I have seen to many good opportunities squandered by the democratic leadership to really effect meaningful change. I am no longer a Democrat they can no longer count on me to vote a straight Democratic ticket they will have to win my vote. Furthermore I will be a thorn in their side I am a Puma. I will never support Obama and this fall I will punish the Democratic Party (like they punished their loyal members). I will vote for McCain. I am not a good little boy.

BBL, have to take my Yorkie to the groomer.
Has anyone received a prowl today? Nothing here.
#107 go_Ohio_Lady…you have a response. I love Yorkies!
thank you, #77 NoObo ! That is the first time I’ve heard a French TV channel speak about the anti-obama movement !
Now I’ve just learnt in the French media, that BO intends to give a press conference on friday, from the Elysée, with Nicolas Sarkozy (like a president ! When McCain went to France some weeks ago, he was never allowed to do that…) I am going to try to contact some of the journalists who will interview him, to advise them to ask him a question about the opposition he faces in his own party (even if not official : maybe a journalist could ask a him what he thinks of YOU Pumas !)
If you want to laugh (or to be disgusted ?), and if you haven’t read my message on the previous thread, you’d better look at this web page : you’ll be appalled to see that here in France, people have become totally crazy. As I said earlier, they are so in love with their hero that they are ready to buy anything to prove him their passion. I’m sure no politician in the world has ever had his face and his slogan appearing on tennis shoes or even … pants ! This proves he is no real politician : my god, this is not serious ! ! !

Hey everyone! Long Post on Hillary’s Debt:
I think I have found some valid (as close as it can be right now) information on Hillary’s Debt.
Before you go to the links below let me give you a thumbnail of what the links provide:
On May 13, 2008 MSNBC reported that Hillary had already funded her “General Election Fund” with 22 Million out of her total campaign funds raised during the Primary.
FIRST: Candidates allocate percentages of their campaign funds raised during the Primary to a “General Election Fund” in anticipation of being the Nominee and competing in the general election.
If the candidate is not the “Nominee” at the convention (remember she suspended and did not concede so she is officially still a candidate)- whatever funds allocated to General Election Fund must either returned to the donors or be approved by donors for allocation to her Senate Re-election Campaign (the only public position of Hillary at this time. However, campaign funds allocated by donors to her Senate re-election campaign can be transferred to a Presidential Race).
As reported by “opensecrets.org” Hillary has raised 233 Million
They report her as 207 Million (from what I can see this includes her 13 Million in personal loans to her campaign)
Allocated to General Election fund out of total raised (as of May) 22 Million.
233
-207
——
26 Million left over of which
22 Million was allocated to the GE Fund in Reserve
———-
4 Million (in the black)
HOWEVER – Hillary cannot use the GE FUNDS and has no idea how many donors may request their funds be returned. So until the Convention, I am certain she has to keep raising money in the event something happens to Obama.
If she became “the nominee” she would need every cent to compete against McCain.
P.S. She cannot transfer money to Obama nor can he to her.
Sources:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24594032
http://www.opensecrets.org/pres08/summary.php?cycle=2008&cid=N00000019
NOTE ON COMPLIANCE FUNDS: (Also from opensecrets)
A little-known but lucrative loophole in the presidential funding system is the use of what is called General Election Legal and Accounting Compliance funds (GELAC). Under FEC regulations, campaigns may raise money through these “compliance funds” to pay for lawyers and accountants hired to comply with federal campaign finance reporting requirements.
The money also can be used to pay for a variety of expenses related to fulfilling these requirements, including fund-raising, payroll, overhead and computer expenses. In addition, GELAC funds can be used to pay for recounts.
Major party nominees who accept public funds cannot accept private contributions for their general election campaigns (except to compensate for a shortage of public funds). Compliance expenses are exempt from all expenditure limits.
Practically speaking, establishing a compliance fund allows the campaign to collect an extra $2,000 from donors who have already given the maximum $2,000 to the main campaign committee for the primary election.
The money may not legally be used until after the parties’ nominating conventions, although in certain circumstances, candidates may borrow from their compliance fund to defray general election expenses incurred before the nomination.
If the candidate does borrow from the compliance fund, he or she must reimburse that account upon receipt of public funds for the general election. If the candidate fails to win the party’s nomination, the money must be returned to the donors.
————–
Hope that gives some insight to the “DBET” issue.
I think it is practical to keep the donations coming in to her campaign because:
1) She has no idea how many former supporters will want their money back to donate it to Obama:
2) One never knows what can happen.
(If you want her to keep your donations call her campaign headquarters finance committee and let them know. They can look you up in the database and tell you what to do to verify that.)
Well, here we are ..BillieJo, BarbNoBo,and notinthepiedpiper..I know they’re more of us…lots

This was on Gretawire yesterday. I posted it after midnight so for those of you who haven’t seen it…I think it’s pretty interesting how Obama and his team thinks he’s already President. This e-mail was sent to Greta from Fox News Major Garrett.
More behind the scenes (this time on Senator Obama’s plane!) Check out the email we all received from our FNC colleague Major Garrett …Major is traveling in the Middle east with Senator Obama. It sounds like the Senator Obama campaign is having some problems with the American press traveling with him? Read this and post your comment

Subject: FOR URGENT: Another episode of “presidential” confusion on the
Obama overseas trip
Two senior Obama advisers came to the rear of the press plane to brief
reporters — on background, meaning no quote attributable to anyone –
about Obama’s one-on-one with King Abdullah and the subsequent dinner.
The press corps rebelled, demanding an on-the-record briefing since
Obama is in the middle of a presidential campaign and that campaign must
be held accountable for what it does and what Obama says about his
meeting with world leaders.
The senior Obama advisers refused. One, a former high-ranking official
in the Clinton White House, said the briefing had to be on background
because “in all my years with the White House I never read-out a meeting
on the record.”
Numerous reporters said Obama wasn’t the president and this isn’t a
Whiter House trip.
Considering the massive interest in the trip, reporters are demanding
basic levels of transparency.
The senior Obama staff refused to break the “on background” rules and no
briefing occurred.
So, as yet, no on-the-record details about Obama’s meeting with Abdullah
or the subsequent dinner with the King’s senior political, military and
intelligence advisers.
Obama’s camp pledged “to revisit” the system of briefing reporters.

HI NEWCATONTHEBLOCK,
I couldn’t agree with you more.
… that’s too bad.
I remember that there were a ton of upstart blogs and forum back in 2004, but as soon as the party told us to get in line…. we did.
Difference this time is that most of these sites are lasting a little bit longer and staying relevant longer. I would still bet that many folks will fall in line IF and WHEN BO makes his MLK-like speech at mile-high ego, ahem, I mean stadium.
Just be careful where to you put all your donations and efforts, folks.
Anyways, I have another mission this week.
I know many folks cross post at several sites. This is great, but I also know that some folks do not. So this week, I’ll be working on mixing and recruiting from other sites.
To post a comment over at the Hillary Clinton Forum. It will require signing in. Maybe get them to, at the least, join our prowls.

The more people visiting us, the more PUMA Prowl Impact we’ll have.
As a side note, web site traffic numbers can tell and tale.

The community organizer thing that BO always promotes has never been explained to me. You’d think he was finding housing for poor people and getting food stamps for hungry people, but I have the felling what he was actually doing is registering voters for Richard Daley. Have you ever heard what he actually did as community orgnaizer?
Hey, I finally learned something from Oblahma:

Ya know, we did make a difference with just our picket signs and t-shirts and our presence in the streets (and possibly some things not mentioned here since the statute of limitations may not have run out yet
So we can (and will) make a difference again. The internet opens up so many possibilities we never dreamed of then!

I also read that on Gretawire…….sometimes that site gets a bit hairy…..LOL
Obama my have passed the German sniff test but he is unqualified and unfit to lead the U.S, Military. In fact, he could not pass an FBI security clearance because of his association with bomber Bill Ayers.
A real American would never support this socialist, power hungry fraud.
Still on my topic of Alexa – strange – THIS particular blog that we are on right now is on there with our comments as we type – that is virtually impossible – now what is going on – be careful what we say and any information given out – as there are negative comments for every one that we post here – may be on to something – back later -

Those were some good old days and some painful old days!!! But, I think we are stronger because of them.
#93 NoObo … I wish Obama would just:
1) SHUT UP ABOUT HIS FAUX POLICIES!
2) ADMIT THAT HE IS IN OVER HIS BIG HEAD!
3) ANNOUNCE THE TRUE FACT THAT HE WOULD BE BETTER AS VP AT THIS TIME!
4) MOVE OVER AND LET A REAL PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE WIN BACK THE WHITEHOUSE, LEAD THIS NATION OUT OF THE WAR, BACK TO ECONOMIC HEALTH, AND TRULY UNITED AS AMERICANS!
What is wrong with these supporters?
I may not have gotten along with my mother all the time, liked the way she wore her hair, or acted as if she knew what was best for me…
…but that woman would have died saving me – even from my own foolishness!
…and she had been around, seen a lot and, in hindsight, was right about 90% of the time!

great article, I can’t believe him! I hope these reporters get pist off and turn on him and then dish all the dirt – one can only “hope” – He really thinks in his mind that he is already President @(*^)(* -!REALLY???? recruiting INDEPENDENTS
Recent polls show Independents moving away from BO. Independents are more mentally flexible than Reps or Dems who feel more loyalty to their Party’s nominee.
Many Hillary supporters were/are Independents and some may have moved to BO when she pulled out and are now doubting him. So this is a good group for PUMAs to woo!
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Among registered voters, 25% are Independents, 32% Republicans and 42% Democrats (as of 2004).
—————————-
** Independents or unaffiliated voters are the fastest growing voting bloc
** In at least one state (CO) they now outnumber Dems and Reps.
** Independents will play a huge role in determining who wins in Nov. 4!!!

I may be wrong, but we are the independent voters. One of the first acts of defiance after the primaries were over, was to switch from democrat to Independent.

You are right on the money, I appreciate your insightful comments…
The CNN article is good, they are talking about us and all PUMAs should be very proud.
#4 for fair play – You asked for a number that only November will speak LOUD & CLEAR unless the DNC turns around.
I am an Independent in FL that would of voted for Hillary but *61 will never get my vote! Ind. that have I spoken to feel the same way.
Also, from talking to many friends that are Democrats and Republicans (they would of voted for Hillary especially after watching the most shocking primary in our history)…not a one so far and that is speaking for those I know in other states.
Not many of them blog but have been keeping quiet especially in IL. They will just not vote and they have always voted!
Reality is…NOBAMA in 2008! A few that said they will vote for *61, is starting to question their decision. So more will deflect than stay!
#134 LandiPUMA…I have my application ready to change parties to IN…but I thought I could make more noise as a disgusted Democrat at least until after the primary!
#88 – Dances with Pumas – I agree with you. Although I do not think I could have been as brilliantly eloquent.
I am so excited to finally be able to take part – just couldn’t get in here for anything. Have been doing my prowls and enjoying every minute of it. ‘Hi Hillary, I have lots of issues that matter to me but the biggest one is: I want you as my president – I’m 63 years old, a life long democrat & ever since Geraldine Ferraro was VP candidate I have been waiting for a woman I could vote for to run for President. I truly believe that if it does not happen with this election this year, it’s not gonna happen – I lived thru the women’s movement, the ERA, pantsuit issues, etc. & this is our chance & I truly, truly want you to be in the race against John McCain. There are no other women that have your history, your name recognition, your smarts, your understanding, your courage, I could go on and on. I understand the party line & what you are being asked to do (& I think it is demeaning to say the least) and I would do anything that you asked of me except fall in line and vote for Obama. We’re Democrats for god’s sake, we don’t fall in line or follow like sheep – never have & see no reason to start now. I don’t like the path the party is taking & if it does not change, I’m done with the Democrats (and I cannot be a republican either). Please, please let your name be placed in nomination – throw up the kool aid. Please, Hillary -’

Barack Obama “Not Likely” to Be Effective Commander-in-Chief, Says NYT Poll
July 21, 2008
By Floyd and Mary Beth Brown
FRONTPAGE MAG – On the night of January 20, 2009, a new commander-in-chief will leave the inaugural podium, parade, and festivities for the Oval Office. A national security staff ready with the latest “threat briefing” will join him there. On his desk, they will place a thick binder of reports, each focusing on real or emerging threats to our national security. In the quiet of the Oval Office — in the presence of these stern-faced, deadly serious briefers and advisers — Barack H. Obama, should he be the next president, will come face-to-face with reality.
Americans are afraid of this scenario, Barack H. Obama as commander-in-chief. The New York Times and CBS News released a poll this week; in it, Americans answered detailed questions about this possibility.
The poll’s answers shocked the strategists at the Obama campaign headquarters in Chicago. An intensive international travel schedule for Obama and a refocus of the campaign’s message on defense and foreign policy speaks to this fear.
The poll says Americans consider him lacking in the abilities necessary to run the armed services. Conversely, the polls show John McCain blows Obama out of the water as a good commander-in-chief. Forty-six percent of respondents thought McCain would very likely “be effective” as commander-in-chief, as opposed to only 24 percent saying the same of Obama. In fact, 36 percent think it is “not likely” Obama will be effective in the position.
Obama’s talents lie in his gift of oratory and his ability to move people with emotion, but this does not necessarily make for a good commander. The chief executive’s job requires forward thinking, realistic assessments of the world’s threats, and the maturity to make judgments in a crisis.
The USS Gerald R. Ford, an aircraft carrier, is now under construction in Hampton Roads, Va. It will be ready to join the fleet in 2015, replacing a carrier launched 47 years ago. Do we know that the USS Ford will be needed in 2015?
No, we do not. But can we afford to bet against it?
Obama thinks so. According to his own campaign literature, he is willing to let the USS Ford, and many more of tomorrow’s defense technologies, rust at the pier.
The decision to build the aircraft carrier is based on the concept of preparing America for the next war to come. Commanders must anticipate the evil designs of irrational lunatics. It’s always a tricky business, trying to anticipate future unknowns. Nevertheless, the president’s oath is to protect and defend the United States.
A president who hasn’t had any experience in military strategic planning is going to find himself in deep trouble if he finds his strategic armories empty in the face of an advancing enemy.
A review of Obama’s national defense plans offers insight into his preparedness to meet today’s and tomorrow’s defense realities. Obama makes a variety of claims which we think would dramatically weaken America if enacted. The Obama plans include cutting tens of billions of dollars of the Defense Department budget, and the development of no new weapons in space to protect satellites and strategic assets. He plans cuts in missile defense systems, slowing our development of future combat systems, developing no new nuclear weapons, and negotiating with Russia to take our ICBMs off what he calls “hair-trigger alert”. He advocates deep cuts in our nuclear program.
Not only does Obama have dangerous disarmament plans for America, he sorely lacks in experience. Besides being a junior senator, he has not been on any of the major defense committees. He has no previous hands-on experience with the military nor has he spent time with the men and women of our armed forces.
There are hundreds of weapon systems that could, under the quick-to-cut hand of Obama, be eliminated before they had the chance to prove themselves. If Obama had been in charge when the M1A1 Abrams Main Battle Tank was under development (a huge financial problem for the military) he would have cut it. But its developers persisted, and dollars that might have been considered “waste” by Obama were spent until the M1A1 became the most lethal, most respected, most effective tank on the battlefield.
Ask any Abrams crewmember who has survived direct hits by explosive shells and rocket-propelled grenades if he would have cancelled the Abrams, and the answer will be a resounding “No!”
Obama’s perfect future vision enables him to scrap defense programs, even as our nation’s enemies prepare very nasty projectiles to hurtle across continents and oceans.
Will he be able to effectively deal with crazed terrorists and power-hungry leaders with nuclear weapons in hand? Recent polls show Americans are nervous about Obama as commander-in-chief, and rightly so.

Thanks for the link to CNN- just watched- really good.
I’m a boomer myself but glad for the involvement of younger people (Murphy) as well.
Come on, we always enjoy others that are ‘turned on’ and get with the program no matter what the age.
PUMAs like Murphy, Will, riverdaughter and others that have taken the leadership torch — my PUMA hat is off to them for their insight, courage and heart!!!
#149 Susie1945….great letter to Hillary…I especially liked the part “…Please, please let your name be placed in nomination – throw up the kool aid”. I feel the same way…no more a Demorat…but could never be a Repub either!
I just requested that my name be removed from their list: info@womencountpac.com, after giving them as much of a piece of my mind as I could afford to give.
On Yahoo right now:
Obama says a nuclear Iran ‘grave threat’
Umm, I don’t think that’s what he was saying last week.

How about some Jimi Hendrix “All along the watchtower”
There must be some kind of way out of here
Said the joker to the thief
Theres too much confusion
I cant get no relief
Businessman they drink my wine
Plow men dig my earth
None will level on the line
Nobody of it is worth
Hey hey
No reason to get excited
The thief he kindly spoke
There are many here among us
Who feel that life is but a joke but uh
But you and I weve been through that
And this is not our fate
So let us not talk falsely now
The hours getting late
Hey
Hey
All along the watchtower
Princes kept the view
While all the women came and went
Bare-foot servants to, but huh
Outside in the cold distance
A wild cat did growl
Two riders were approachin
And the wind began to howl
Hey
Oh
All along the watchtower
Hear you sing around the watchtower
Gotta beware gotta beware
I will
Yeah
Ooh baby
All along the watchtower
Good afternoon PUMA’S, just logging and am off to catch up on the blogs.

I agree with you. I think that is the priority of his agenda.
Did any one see CBS interview with McCain last night? was it aired yet?
MountainSong – I am with you on that. I now understand he is set up to make campaign commercials in Germany. And he is handing out flyers that will or should scare any American.
#149 Susie1945~~~I wish EVERY voter could read this, every day. The job of our Commander in Chief is the absolute most important role any president has. The idea of a junior senator, with no military or command experience whatsover, at head of our national security and military scares the hell out of me.
No doubt, all our enemies or potential enemies are supporting his candidacy with words AND dollars.
Thought you might like to know. I was looking at some of the Newspapers in Berlin and found this interesting article. It’s in German but, the interesting part was revealing. Apparently BO rented the space for his speech from the city and paid an extra amount to not allow any protest signs. Yep, it’s always about the money and stifling freedom of speech isn’t it BO? http://www.tagesspiegel.de/berlin/Barack-Obama-Hotel-Adlon;art270,2577957
Whatever happened with the US Flag off BO’s plane?
It did not catch on fire with the media…?
anybody has info or insight?
Isn’t ‘barack’ that noise people make when they puke?
Can’t we all just get along? Check out this language in blogs.usatoday regarding a floor fight that took place at a WNBA came last night:
“We hate to begin the day with a conspiracy theory, but it seems a little too coincidental that the attention-starved WNBA had a rollicking good cat fight last night….
This comes after the equally-ignored Indy Racing League lit up the Internet when its golden goose, Danica Patrick, got on the verge of baring claws on pit row….”
Maybe the Obamessiah and DNC disciples can help with this also!
“My whole goal in terms of having tough, serious direct diplomacy is not because I’m naive about the nature of any of these regimes. I’m not,” Obama said at a press conference. “It is because if we show ourselves willing to talk and to offer carrots and sticks in order to deal with these pressing problems, and if Iran then rejects any overtures of that sort, it puts us in a stronger position to mobilize the international community to ratchet up the pressure on Iran.”
My what an original thought~~~wonder why no one else thought of that? (they did last month)

_________________________________________
I think it was a no starter.
I think the entire American flag thing was overblown.
What I objected to was the Obama campaign symbols and website painted on the plane of a senator going on a fact finding mission at taxpayers’ expense, using the means of transport as a billboard for his campaign.
Hi everyone, just a couple of FYIs and a question:
1. I just saw Chancellor Merkel of Germany on TV — prelude to BO visit tomorrow. She’s leaving on vacation tomorrow and met the press one last time before then. She’ll briefly meet BO tomorrow but will already be hiking in Bavaria during the time when BO gives his little talk in front of the Victory Column (sorry to say they’re expecting a big crowd). When the reporters asked her if she’ll watch his speech, she put her head down in a really cute, uncharacteristically non-straightforward way and said, “Hmmmm, well maybe I’ll turn on the TV” with that little “I know I’m kidding; you know I’m kidding and of course I don’t give a damn” look that made everybody in the room laugh. I heard several Berliners interviewed today who said it’s all the same to them and they don’t know why anybody’s comparing him to Kennedy. Reason still prevails in some circles.
2. Saw footage of his plane on TV when it landed in Israel. Unbelievable! In huge letters, it reads: “Barack Obama. Change we Can Believe in. http://www.barackobama.com” I thought this was technically a “Senate fact-finding trip.” Is his campaign paying for this or are we????? And so tacky anyway…..
3. I could not believe that the NY Times — the official U.S. “paper of record” — refused to publish McCain’s response to the BO editorial. Even if you don’t like McCain, doesn’t it go without saying that in a democracy the point is to air the views of both “presumptive” presidential candidates? Their excuse – “nothing new” – was pitiful; any response is “new” and necessary info for voters. My question: Aren’t people, I mean all people who care about the health of our democracy, in the U.S. incensed about this? I haven’t seen or heard anything other than the blurb and I can’t believe that this story will just go away.
Hi, PUMAs!
Haven’t received my Prowl yet. Was it sent?
Found this information about sexism in the U.S. and its association with math scores. Girls in the U.S. score lower than boys. That’s not the case in other countries where there is greater gender equity. From alegre’s corner:
“Indeed, the male-female math gap is negatively correlated with measures of gender equality. It completely disappears in countries with the highest indicators of gender equality.”
See: http://insight.kellogg.northwestern.edu/index.php/Kellogg/article/women_and_math_the_gender_gap_bridged
I do believe, and the Kellogg study appears to support this view, that there is still a lot of sexism in the U.S.. Several people pointed this out in the spring. It seems that for many years feminists focused on reproductive rights and sexual freedom and deemed these markers of gender equality. Achieving reproductive rights for women in the U.S. was a great victory, but I want our generation of women to break the glass ceiling in the business and political world as well . I want a female president, but also half of congress to be made up of women and many many more women executives. Society will look much different when women have greater say in how things are done. Maybe today younger women don’t understand what’s at stake, but they will get it later on. We fought this battle for both young women and men (and I actually do not expect and will probably not get a thank you, but whatever).
In the near future female presidential candidates will be commonplace and it was because we fought this battle. This battle needs to be fought. Nobody gives anybody anything for free. Just wish some liberal men (and women) in this country wouldn’t have such weak egos that they can’t see what a great candidate HC is. Maybe they could see that and that’s why they were trying to keep her down. I’m an immigrant to the U.S., so I find it very confusing that many U.S. women didn’t rally behind HC. If women don’t support women who will? I mean, if she had been a bad candidate who was also a woman, I would understand, but she was clearly the best out there.
Best,
Lara08
Anyone know when the last date to change voter registration is? August 10, is it?
Yup, Murphy you are correct. I have been carrying picket signs since the ’60′s and it does feel great. When the media and all were crying about the Obama movement I would always fire back that movements don’t start at the top. They start from the bottom up and that is exactly what we are doing and it is exhillerating. Obama was nothing more then corporate branding, marketing and propaganda. The scary thing is I just can’t believe how many people fell for it and are still buying into it. I do know one person who jumped shipped after his FISA vote and has asked for his campaign contribution to be returned. So some people are coming to their senses.

#34mpdamon: For the record, I don’t know who taught you history, or what you think you know about it, but I assure you the idea for a 40 hour work week and Social Security did not emanate from the Socialist and/or Communist Party in this country or anyother country.
The 40 hour work week was the result of years and years of struggle by traditional trade unions in this country. These unions little by little, year after year beginning in the late 19th century and continuing year after year fought for bits and pieces of more humane working conditions. The Democratic Party did indeed represent these interests of working people for most of its life, until this cycle. And, Social Security, the very concept came from FDR. Before you criticize the party, you need to know its history and the history of the Labor Movement relative to it and the development of the middle class. And, certainly you need to understand that what had always differentiated the American Trade Union Movement in this country from that in Europe was its ongoing and absolute disavoval in individual trade unioncharters of communism, communists, and socialism and socialists.
WomenPac is naive, but not for the reasons you state.
I read the article this morning and Will is right on. But, I do believe the only way to beat Obama is to hold our noses and vote for McCain. He will be a lame duck and open the door for Hillary in 2012, IF Obama does become the nominee!!
Well, that was my point. He uses the plane with taxpayers’ money, deletes the US flag and applies his campaign symbols…why?
Isn’t he an American?
isn’t he representing our country?
isn’t he running for president of the US?
may be not!
I found that action absolutely insulting!
Is it just me?
“Read it and discuss.”
My palms started sweating as soon as I read that.

Good Afternoon PUMAs:
WOW! So many comments to agree with and add to:
1. Totally agree that if Obama shall succeed (which we know he will not) sets an inescapable precedence of berating women even further for personal and political gain. As someone on No Quarter said, ‘high tech stoning’ is the theme.
2. The German Chancellor is smart. She is giving a very big message that Obama is a nobody. Since when do presumptive presidential nominees go to other countries and give speeches in foreign lands. This guy is outrageous.
3. At http:stellarvoices.wordpress.com/ we are in the process of seeking the proper avenues to hold Obama accountable for acting as if he is allowed to conduct foreign policy on a fact finding mission. We have called Senator Brownback (R-KS) and are awaiting a call back from Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS)–who is also a member of the ethics committee—to identify how we shall proceed. Our hopes is that allot more people will help with the issue that we feel Obama has overstepped his role overseas and needs to minimally be brought before the ethics committee. We shall keep you informed.
4. The work everyone is doing is excellent. For the life of me I have never witnessed the way this country is giving Obama a pass on so many issues as compared to past contenders, and I believe in my heart that he will be stopped.
Keep up the good fight everyone.
I am also a product of 1947. Those Were good and bad years. I remember all of the 60′s . The 40 hr work was a movement of the labor parties and it was because of FDR that we have SS.

Obama travel press corps pushes for on-the-record briefings.By Lynn Sweet on July 22, 2008 7:19 PM
JERUSALEM– Aboard the Obama campaign plane flying from Jordan to Israel Tuesday night, reporters collectively balked when Obama staffers wanted to brief a second time in one day without having their names used. The reporters refused and so there was no briefing. The upshot of sticking together: when Obama foreign policy advisor Susan Rice briefs on Wednesday morning, it will be on the record.
Greetings fellow Pumas,
I will be voting for McCain if Hillary is not the nominee. The list of Obama ills continues to grow like loaves and fishes. I am completely confident that McCain will be the better choice in terms of experience and ethics.
P.S.: Has anyone received a prowl yet?

I agree with you. You would have thought someone would complain about wasting alot of money repainting the plane with his campain site and putting his logo over the US flag.
This was to be a fact finding trip…hahaha
He doesn’t represent our country…he represents himself.
My son walked in and saw that on the news and said “That guy has WAY too much money to burn.”
I don’t know of any other candidate ever painting a plane for a fact finding trip…

Good news is that I have seen a significant amount of online and television negative coverage of this smarmy NYT decision and of the editor who lamely defended their reasoning.
The “Paper of Record’s” circulation has been dropping steadily and their stock price is trading at the lowest price in over twelve years, so it would appear that some people are paying attention to the NYT’s fundamental lack of fairness and objectivity.

On the other hand, Mika B. of MSNBC was just interviewing a McCain spokesperson/semi-surrogate and his response to her question was (paraphrasing): I can’t believe in light of all the serious issues confronting our nation and the world you’re asking me this question. Mika just paled and threw the questioning over to Andrea Mitchell. Reason being (in my mind) Mika is an airhead/window dressing at MSNBC. She couldn’t ask a serious, legitimate question because she’s got nothing going on in that empty Bamabot brain of hers. Wouldn’t she be suitable for the Home Shopping Network?

True, many of us switched to Independent in defiance and in protest after the primaries… However, in my post (#134), I’m referring more to wooing the more Dem-leaning long-time Independents that were Hillary supporters and then moved to BO when she pulled out and are now having second thoughts about supporting BO.
Of course, included also, are the Independents that are just undecided in general and having doubts and questions about BO.
Long-time Independents are a different group, in terms of how they feel politically, than those of us who have recently switched from Dem to Independent as a protest to what took place in the primaries.

#181-NewOrleansPuma
Right on!!! That’s the absolute truth and the propaganda is what is fueling this about the 40 hour work weeks being a socialist program. The unions came into being to try to help conditions for the working men and women who had to work from can to can’t and under unsafe and unhealthy working conditions. The idea of paid vacations, etc., all brought about through UNION negotiations. People forget that or simply do not know, because of the smears against unions, for years have been portrayed as being commie or socialists. My dad and his dad and my mom’s dad were all members of the Bricklayer’s Union and we learned about how the unions came about at home.. not in history classes.

Somebody had the audacity to tell me BO’s trip wasn’t being used for campaigning. Asked me why I thought that!
My reply:
For starters, covering over the American flag on his plane with the Obama “rising sun” Logo and the hopey-changey phrase emblazoned across the side. The whole thing is nothing but campaign hype from the paint job on the plane to the MSM media throng he has drooling over him. It’s a big overdose of kool-aide in a global sized cup!

#88 Dances…I undertand you completely and agree. On your point about being suspicious, I get that too. But, I would add, that if Hillary is not the nominee for some reason, then what is a PUMA to do. Not vote ? I would say we all go out and vote. (My opinion folks, voting is a personal thing.) In my view, McCain is the only option. I never thought that I would consider voting for a Rep this election. All I know now is that I will not cast a vote for BO.
I would also add that if McCain and Obama are the only two choices that this country can muster up, then we are in trouble.

63% Say Trip Does Not Make Obama More Fit to be President
Wednesday, July 23,2008
While Barack Obama has touted his travel to the Middle East and Europe this week as a “fact-finding” trip, 63% of Americans do not believe it makes the Democratic candidate any more qualified to be president.
A new Rasmussen Reports national survey, taken Monday night, also finds that less than a third (32%) think Obama will learn from his trip to Iraq. Forty percent (40%) say his mind is already made up about policies to deal with the war there. The Democrat has been accused by liberals in his party of softening his long-standing opposition to the war in Iraq in an effort to appeal to more moderate voters.
Obama on Tuesday at a press conference in Jordan defended his plan to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq over a 16-month period. Gen. David H. Petraeus, the U.S. commander in Iraq, with whom he met, opposes a timeline of any kind, but Obama said more forces are needed in Afghanistan. He outlined these positions in the days prior to his visit to Iraq.
The partisan divide is clear throughout the new survey. The responses of self-designated Democrats and likely Obama voters generally mirror their candidate’s actions and positions, although at times very narrowly. Republicans and likely voters for John McCain support the GOP candidate much more emphatically.
For example, while 74% of Republicans say it is not right for a candidate to make political statements contrary to government policy while in a war zone, only 40% of Democrats disagree. Nearly as many Democrats (38%) agree with the overwhelming majority of Republicans, as do 50% of unaffiliated voters.
In a separate survey this week, 45% said Obama is too inexperienced to be president. This number has risen from 41% over the past week. But the same number — 45% — believe the Democratic candidate does have the necessary experience.
Slightly more than half (53%) of Americans in the new poll do not approve of candidates making statements contrary to U.S. government policy while visiting U.S. troops in a war zone. Only 29% believe that it’s okay to do so.
But 49% say it’s fine for a presidential candidate to make a highly-publicized trip to a war zone, while only 26% disagree.
Less than half (47%) believe it is better to have a president with military experience directing a war, but 38% say it doesn’t matter. Seventy-three percent (73%) of Republicans see military experience as a plus, but 57% of Democrats do not. Obama has not served in the military, while McCain was a Navy combat pilot in the Vietnam War. He was shot down on a bombing mission, imprisoned and tortured in the infamous “Hanoi Hilton” for six years.
Among those who have members of their immediate family in the military, 48% say military service makes a president better able to conduct a war, while 36% disagree.
Another Rasmussen Reports survey this week finds that while voters trust Obama more on most issues, McCain has a double-digit lead on his rival when it comes to national security and the war in Iraq. Overall, Obama and McCain remain very close in the popular vote contest as measured by the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll.
Only 39% of Democrats say Obama’s travels this week make him more qualified to be president, while 42% disagree. Eighty-six percent (86%) of Republicans and 67% of unaffiliateds feel the same way. The gap widens when how an individual plans to vote is factored in: 44% of likely Obama voters see the travel as a positive, while 89% of those who plan to vote for McCain disagree.
Fifty-eight percent (58%) of likely Obama voters say he will learn from his trip to Iraq, but 66% of potential McCain supporters say he made up his mind before traveling there. Democrats overall are a bit more skeptical, with 49% saying he will learn on the trip. Among unaffiliated voters, a key bloc in the upcoming election, 28% think Obama will learn from the trip, but 38% think he made up his mind before going to Iraq.

(Sen) Charles Schumer, D-NY, is on MSNBC arguing for Obama. YUK. I think I’m going to be sick. How can these guys get on TV and say these things with a straight face. He’s my damn senator. Can’t believe he’s spouting this b.s.!
I must say Protesting is a lot easier these days.
I grew up in a family of Dem….but the first time i voted was for Reagan… yes i was a Reagan Dem…so i have always voted for the Character….. never the party… but i call myself a Dem…because of my family..
The bots tried to silence Larry Sinclair from the National Press Club. I guess they are trying to put the 1st admendment under the bus too. Anyone that doesn’t have nice things to say about the chosen one cant have free speech.

I had a nightmare the other night regarding *61. Have never dreamt of a politician in my whole life. Here is a short version.
In it *61 was attempting to see what areas I thought he was wrong in, the more I spoke, the more he stated, “I can change that” over and over.
He wanted to meet the next day to hear more. I attempted to leave but was stopped on the street by *61 followers, telling me that I was not allowed to leave. They started to get physical and I finally slipped around a corner.
As I have been trying to understand it…I read on the patches that I am using to stop smoking, “If you have vivid dreams…”
I ripped off the patch and bought some cigarettes! No Obama…before, now or tomorrow.
http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0708/Abbas_Obama_corrected_Jerusalem_comment.html
Report: Obama ‘corrected’ Jerusalem comment [CORRECTED]
Obama didn’t address the press after his meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, but a report from the meeting said Obama had “corrected” his earlier promise of an undivided Jerusalem. That pledge, in a speech to Aipac, had angered Arab leaders — the exact status of Jerusalem is at the heart of the negotiations — and Obama quickly retreated from it, to the displeasure of some pro-Israel groups.
From the report:
Obama caused outrage among the Palestinians in early June when he told a major US pro-Israel lobbying group that Jerusalem must remain the “undivided” capital of Jerusalem.
The international community including the U.S. does not recognize the city as the eternal capital of the Jewish state. Israel claims that Arab east Jerusalem, which was annexed in the 1967, is part of the undivided city.
Obama however, corrected his statements and said that the future of the city can be resolved through peace negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians. The Palestinians want the eastern part of the city as the capital of their state.
CORRECTION: This report was originally described, inaccurately, as a statement in a miscommunication among reporters traveling with Obama.
Does anybody notice that when a reporter is talking to Will or anybody else who is still pushing for Hillary to be nominated they looked stunned or says Really.
Look at this reporter from Fox she does it too when talking to Will.

PUMAs!
If you want to have a good chuckle, please go to this site and play the video! Vote for your favorite if you want. I played this video over and over last night. It made my little PUMA heart sing with joy!

danceswithpumas you got mail…
I just want to add, I for one have no problem whatsover voting for McCain if Hillary is not the candidate. Just like many Republicans had no problem voting for Hillary in the general election, I have no problem choosing McCain. I like him as a human being and I trust him. The Democratic Party that I’ve supported and believed in my entire life doesn’t exist anymore. If you want Bush III, vote Obama/DNC….etc. Nothing will get done. Just more committee meetings/studies, wasted time and taxpayer money. I’m sick of it. I want action, not b.s.
#218 BrooklynNY The video clips really pick on MSNBC. They showed they were in the tank for Obama from day 1. Lou Dobbs is also included in one of those clips and he continued lashing out at the media last night. Maybe the tide is turning, CNN spent a lot of time discussing the media bias yesterday.
#180 comments on the CNN article:
Should the Obama campaign be worried about the PUMAs? A recent CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll showed that more than four in 10 Democrats still preferred Clinton as the nominee. But Obama is leading McCain in early general election polls. And as Clinton continues to vocalize her support for Obama, it is probably safe to say that more Clinton backers will likely fall in line behind him.
——————
Well the percentage of Hillary’s supporters not voting for precious has gone up to 40%. Last I looked a couple fo weeks ago it was 31% and taking into consideration it is reporting from the ‘liberal’ networks, it is probably higher than that. At one point those same networks were saying if 10% of Hillary’s supporters did not vote for Obama, he would not win.
So the spin doctors are really starting to scramble along with the security thugs in Denver…you better believe there is a lot of sh!t hitting the fan behind the scenes to stop the PUMAs from pulling the rug out from under their precious savior.
PUMA are on CNN — the real fight has started.
Swords up PUMAs!!!!!!!!
Hang on, it’s gonna be a wild Mr. Toad’s Ride like the Democrats have never scene. The French will be proud.
Come November, many boomers that remember the good old days of protesting will consider making another stand for what is right.
We have to get her in nomination!!!!!
Where’s the next prowl Murphy???????
We are ready to roll!
“Sock it to um!”
#200lotts48: Right on back to you, brother or sister! As I have state more than once here and proudly state again: My father was a union machininst for 40 years as was his father before him. My father organized almost every machine shop in New Orleans in the early 50s and then every two years was elected to serve as Business Representative negotiating contracts on behalf of that union. The socialist/communist propaganda has been around since unions began. It emanated then and now from the old and now, latter, day so called Adam Smith pure capitalists…I do what I want. You do what I say. Sound familiar? Barack Obama has a great deal of support from multinational,
globalization financiers who wish to make the world, and they are pretty far along elsewhere, what this country was in the 19th century before unionism. In our case, by the time they get finished with us, we are all supposed to be grateful once again for being able to serve them for a little piece of bread and whatever other crumbs fall from their tables. Like hell I will. Like hell we will.
Murphy is correct about this Puma movement. It is Radical, indeed. Neither party has ever seen anything like it in the history of this country. While I am heartbroken that we have to do it, I am delighted to be alive to be a part of it! Ok, murphy, this one’s for you:
Power from the Party to the People…a little variation on the 60s theme…don’t want anybody to think I am a Commie or Socialist!

Yes, I do think the tide is turning at MSNBC. They’re being ridiculed for being so stupid. Chris Matthews is going to go down in infamy for his stupid “tingling down my leg” comment. No one is ever going to forget that. Now, collectively the media is being “played” and though maybe it was a lot of fun piling up on Hillary, it’s isn’t so much fun to realize they’re being played for fools and used. The joke’s on them.

I was always a Dem,I voted for JFK the first time I voted,I never have voted for a rep but it looks like I am in 2008 unless we get a miricle
#222 BillieJo Do you have a link that shows this gain from 31% to 40%. No one believes me that these numbers are going up not down. I want to show them that we are growing by the day. I keep telling them to go to justsaynodeal.com and look at the right hand side for all the links that appear there and see for yourself.
*61 stated he will use “carrots and sticks” to talk to Iran. *61 must be planning to send Obamabots there like rabbits!
If McCain or Hillary wins this election, what will the media do then. This may show them that they don’t have the power they thought they had.
#221 vadaryl on 07.23.08 at 2:08 pm
I forgot to add, did you hear the comment by Ed Rendell when he was being questioned by Charlie Rose about bias in the media. Ed’s answer to Rose’s question was (something to the effect of): “Well, are you watching MSNBC these days?” And they both chuckled. Charlie didn’t answer but his little giggle said volumes. MSNBC is becoming the laughing stock of the serious media these days.
Has there been a prowl yet today?

[[The community organizer thing that BO always promotes has never been explained to me. Have you ever heard what he actually did as community organizer?]]

Sorry for not answering sooner. I’ve been away from the computer.
No, I never heard what he did as a community organizer. He certainly didn’t articulate anything during the weeks when I was listening to him and giving him fair consideration. If he’s articulated anything since, it was filed away under “More BS” before it earned a spot in my memory banks.
Hi People another day
Do we have any cartoon artists in the pack? I heard Goalucard4Hill mention trying to reach the kids with a game. I have made games before, however, my artwork may not be that good.
#230 BrooklynNY I caught the Rendell comment but last night he was Hannity and he looked so out of place trying to spin for Obama.
Civil Disobedience was the signature civil rights tactic of 60′s demonstrations especially in the South.
If the Obama people try to hi-jack the convention or shut us down in Denver then maybe the best way to get our message across would be to engage in civil disobedience even if it means we get arrested..
Hello my beloved PUMAS,
The following is a paragraph of an e-mail I received from Senator Clinton’s office yesterday. I’m sure many of you got it too:
“In the weeks, months, and years to come, I won’t let my dedication to our values waver and by fighting to make sure Barack Obama is our next President we will finally have a Democrat in the White House who is also dedicated to the things we care so deeply about. I’m going to work as hard as I can between now and November to help Barack Obama win the White House and Democrats win bigger majorities in Congress. I hope you will continue to fight with me because together, if we don’t back down and don’t give up we can make all the difference.”
This is my reply to her e-mail:
Dear Senator Clinton,
I’m one of the 18 MILLION VOICES OF DISENFRANCHISED AMERICANS WHO WILL NOT be silenced by the corrupt DNC. We WILL NOT be satisfied with just having ANY Democrat back in the White House. This alone WILL NOT do. I’m convinced that electing Barack Obama for president would be THE WORSE MISTAKE we could make as a nation. We don’t need a Bush third term, and that’s just what Mr. Obama would bring to us. I’m working as hard as I can to make sure his presidential dreams DON’T COME TRUE because this will represent a NIGHTMARE for all Americans. That said, I want you to know I haven’t abandoned hope of having YOU leading this nation as OUR PRESIDENT in 2009. I’m a proud member of PUMA PAC and will continue to fight for your nomination for as long as it is necessary. I WILL NOT support a ticket with you as VP. America DESPERATELY NEEDS YOU leading us as our PRESIDENT.
I hope the DNC, super delegates, and Party leaders take a moment to look at the recent polls that CLEARLY reflect the American people’s refusal to overwhelmingly support their selectee. These polls should be a wake up call to action before it’s to late. Perhaps the Democratic Party should take a moment to reflect on the fact that only the Democratic Congress has a lower approval rating than George Bush!
Thank you for your hard work and for taking the time to listen to my concerns.
God bless you.

Did you see my post yesterday, Bring wire cutters
Sorry for all the typos in 222, I have to slow down when I type…I get too exited.
Murphy… read the CNN article.
Thought the video spoke for itself… CNN slipped in its own opinions in the article- the same old line about Fl and Mi., and how Hill’s support of Obama means her supporters should simply follow.
That makes no sense:
First, The Clintons have no choice but to show Public support for Obama. They would be pariahs in the party and politically.
Second, if all supporters of one candidate were to automatically transfer over to the other candidates f that party…Then ALL the Obama supporters WOULD also vote for Hillary… so why should ANYone vote at all…or have primaries? Why not just put forth ONE party candidate and force everyone to vote for that person.
Third… they continue to overlook the things that we perceived as unfair, biased, sexist, ugly, demeaning and disrespectul… and how we view that as unacceptable. Voting FOR Obama would enable, encourage and give tacid approval to the very tactics we deplored.
STILL… mainstream coverage of ANY kind can only help. People who are less pro-active may learn of this movement for the first time.
Who cares about typos we all understand what we are trying to say.
#235 vadaryl on 07.23.08 at 2:22 pm
I don’t think Rendell’s heart is in it. He’s going through the motions but I don’t think he believes any of the b.s he’s spouting about Obama. That’s why I can’t believe they can go on TV and give these interviews with a straight face. It’s like watching a Monty Python movie.
I bet I have the most typo’s and worse spelling!

MURHY?
Hi all,
I had been meaning to do this for a while now, but I finally posted about PUMA PAC on craigslist (in my town). Here is my post:
“Are you interested in protesting the 2008 Democratic presidential primary? Superdelegate votes are not official until votes are cast at the Democratic National Convention in Denver (August 2008). Help by contacting delegates and other officials. To learn more visit: http://blog.pumapac.org/ or contact southwest@pumapac.org to find other PUMA (Party Unity Means Action) Democrats from throughout the country. PUMA Democrats want the party to choose the presidential candidate that was elected by the people, not the one that was selected by party leaders. We still believe in many of the ideals of the Democratic Party, but think that many democratic principles were overlooked in order to impose Sen. Obama on the American people.”
Murphy, I hope what I said was alright. If not, please let me know and I will edit it.
Thanks,
Lara08
I’m sorry, but what does that cow with Hillary’s head mean?
There is a very good web site with a lot of info. and responses from angry americans in regards to #61 trip. http://hotair.com/archives/2008/07/23/not-a-campaign-event-another-flip-flop/. Also in Israel #61 was asked twice if he could ensure that there would be no second Holocaust, both times he declined to answer. The speech he is supposed to give in Germany is being staged for filming. Before #61 left on this trip he assured everyone that it would NOT be a campaign trip. Flip-Flop.
Late yesterday afternoon I got an email from my local paper saying they would publish the editorial submission that I sent as part of a Prowl Mission. I had to call and give my permission, which I did…but I told the lady that I was a member of the PUMA PAC and that it was a latter from my PAC and I was happy it would be published. She asked if I wrote it, and I said no. She said it is on the newspaper’s blog page, but because it wasn’t original, it couldn’t be in the parer. She said she suspected it wasn’t original, but couldn’t find it posted anywhere else locally. Sorry Pumas. I will try to write one myself.
I have a stupid question…
if Hillary does get the nomination in Denver..
Could it create riots and chaos in the streets and could it permanently shatter the Democratic Party??
The reason I asked if anyone watched the CBS interview with McCain is because Potus 08 XM reported today that they asked CBS for an explanation of the reason why they edited/left out McCains response to one of their questions in interview that was in response to *61′s statement yesterday when he said that the success in Iraq was attributed to the Shias (sp?) and did not give full credit to our troops on the ground.
Potus played McCains response and pretty much said that *61s assertion was ridiculous because it was not the truth that he was doing a disservice to the accomplisments of our troops and General’s P. stance on our success. (There is more to the story, but I did not catch it all…I am sure there might be something on McCain’s web page concerning this incident).
CBS shame on you…

I don’t know, but when he is I won’t vote for him. We have some primary in Aug but I changed my reg in June to in.
I know PUMA hasn’t been introduced as widely as we’d like it to be, but at this point, when media “spokespeople” for PUMA and JSND are interviewed, I’d like them to tell the viewers some of the ways in which they can join and participate with PUMA … writing to SDs and the DP, etc.
I also wouldn’t focus as much on anti-Obama issues (that really does sound like sour grapes at this point),
but on the
1)corrupt practices and the violations perpetrated by the DNC and RBC.
2) the fact that Senator Clinton still has a shot at being the nominee.
“Could it create riots and chaos in the streets and could it permanently shatter the Democratic Party??”
Yes and yes. :::::::shrug:::::::
Texas Darlin Blog has a newspaper article from 1961 that implies Barack was born in HI. She is still pushing for the original BC. She has contacted BO’s team several times; they still will not release the name of the hospital he was born at.

I’m sure some of you have already seen this quote, but I couldn’t help posting it. It’s from the article in the Washington Post about the idiot’s tour overseas and his arrogance about the whole deal. He has his head so far up his a$$, I don’t know how he thinks he’ll ever be able to run the country. He really thinks he’s something, but all he really amounts to is a 3-year senator with no great legislative accomplishments. What a schmuck…
“Americans are beginning to notice Obama’s elevated opinion of himself. There’s nothing new about narcissism in politics. Every senator looks in the mirror and sees a president,” Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer wrote last week.
“Nonetheless, has there ever been a presidential nominee with a wider gap between his estimation of himself and the sum total of his lifetime achievements?” he asked.
Well, have been sending emails to S.D. regarding the information about BO interfearing with talking as if he is the POTUS in Iraq and Afghanistan.
I’m sooooooooooo tired of this egomaniac!! I don’t feel like being nice anymore.. We have to be big..loud..and to the point..no more hearts and flowers..
I don’t want BO to be anything ,because I don’t believe he’s the right person to be leading this country!! Simple!
Wake up Congress!! Wake up Super Delegates!! and wake up America!! This man is a sham..and speaks out of both sides of his mouth at the same time!!

No. But all are PUMAs.
all this Obama BC controversy could be straightened out once and for all if there were living witnesses who could corroborate the Obamas actual residence in Hawaii in 1961 ..I’m sure there must be someone still living who could testify they knew them at that time..
if no one can be found to corroborate that then I would become extremely suspicious and more open to BC fraud..

[[ Does anyone have an idea of how many of HRC’s 18 Million voters are actually NOT voting for Obama?]]
I really dont know and I doubt very much if anyone else does either because the numbers and polls keep on changing from day to day.
At the end of the primaries it was estimated that about 25% of Hillary supporters would not be supporting BHO in the fall. Then a few weeks ago that number increased to 33% in some polls.
Media and their pundits say, Oh, come the fall they will all fall in line and be behind BHO. I don’t think they know what they are talking about. The young are becomming increasingly disenchanted; those who are still fighting to have Hillary’s name placed as the #2 VP slot, will start branching out into different splinter groups the minute BHO announces his choice. That, and not too many people realizes this but although it is customary to vote in the VP based upon the nominee’s choice, that number 2 spot is also voted in on the 3rd day of the Convention. So in theory, there could be an upset on the Convention floor to nominate Hillary Rodham Clinton as the Vice President, she being BHO’s equal in this; and moreso because she has yet to release her delegates to him.
Having said al that, the conservative estimates that I have come accross in the past few weeks say that about 4-7 million Hillary supporters will not be voting for BHO. If you tag on the increasing number of disenchanted youth plus all those who will be fuming after August 28th if Hillary is either not chosen as nominee to represent the party or not chosen to be the Vice Presidential nominee and I myself would estimate that approximately 10% – 12% of Hillary supporters will not be voting for BHO in the fall.
Whether that is enough to get him defeated in the fall is not set in stone. But what I do know from previous elections is this, especially in smaller states and/or districts inside of a state: EVERY VOTE COUNTS, and it has happened that in smaller states, a candidate has lost to his or her opponent by as little as 2 or 6 votes. So dont let anyone tell you that defeating BHO in the fall is beyond our reach.
Look—I have my doubts as to whether Hillary can get the nomination August 26th of this year… I really really do; but that doubt is promoted by the intense media bias covering this year’s primary/election season. There is just a tremendous amount of pressure on her to step down and as we get closer to August that pressure will increase proportionately. I think as we get closer to the Convention party leaders, super delegates and yes, media will be stepping up their efforts to force Hillary to release her delegates and to bow out of the nomination process entirely. I truly hope that does not happen, yet all the signs are there.
This is the bottom line, at least for me: If this is a matter of *principle* … if it is a matter of *truth* then those principles and those truth do not waver and will not fall prey to every passing wind. The will remain firm ….
AS SHOULD WE.
Because if one party gets away with this stuff, come the next election cycle the opposing party will try it. And if they both get away with it, with every passing day more and more of our freedoms will be taken from us. So the way I see it, this election cycle was a silent cou (sp).

Good Afternoon PUMA Family
Once again, we can see the bold, the brave and those with beliefs and convictions standing up together arm in arm, side by side to fight against injustice in our party. Many would say, we must do the change from within, guess what, I’d been there before, done that, bought the t-shirt. When you’re “inside” the box, you can’t see what’s wrong with it, you MUST step out of the box and see what’s rotten in Denmark to get a better perspective where the rot is located and how to remove it so it won’t contaminate everything in the box.
You CANNOT change anything from within, you have to step out like we, PUMAs, just say no deal and others are doing now. I did not leave the Democratic Party, the party ABANDONED ME when they become CORRUPT; when the voice of the people no longer matters to them. When you stick with a corrupt party and expect to change it from within, that is like fighting an infection without antibiotics to cure an illness that rots your well being; you become an ENABLER of CORRUPTION. THE WELFARE OF THE PEOPLE IS THE SUPREME LAW. Are we going to toe the party line in spite of the fact the welfare of the people doesn’t matter to them anymore? HELL NO! Democracy will ONLY survive if the people are BRAVE and BELLIGERENT in watching it real close like a hawk.
While doing my workout proudly wearing my PUMA t-shirt, I’ve had a good conversation with my gymmates in between lifting weights. PUMA family, we are NOT alone; many have the same fear as we do with NOBAMA and the corrupt system of the Democratic Party in selecting their Messiah. There’s a deep seethed anger directed at the DNC, and that anger will be reflected in the ballot in November.
To go against the grain is HARD, it’s easier to go with the flow, you don’t received all kinds of derision or name calling. When you go against the grain, that takes a LOT OF GUTS, FORTITUDE, only the strong will do it, those with strong beliefs and convictions, what is right and what is wrong.
PUMA family, we are NOT ENABLERS, we must FORGE AHEAD, SOLDIER ON PUMAS! America will thank us when everything is said and done. GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I believe the best reason is because we’re an official Political Action Committee (PAC). For the reason that we’re “Official” so to speak, it’s nice to have a classy title.
Anyone agree?
Also, People United Means Action makes sense for the specific work we do.
Some areas of JSND have heavy media exposure, some have ground operations, some perform action items, some are news sites, some or op-ed sites, some are just cyber cafes where we meet to chat about anything.

Our PAC, People United Means Action, is wholly unconnected from them. We were founded independently of each other and in total ignorance of the other’s existence. I heard about Will’s group a couple of days after I founded Puma PAC. I dont know when he heard about ours — probably soon after.
Our goals are similar. We share information often, but Party Unity My Arse is unconnected to Puma PAC.

Try this one also to find the number of links to any site:
Go to google.com
type in,
links: http://www.yourwebsitename.com
like this,
links: http://blog.pumapac.org
There are now about 10 pages of data for pumapac totally 555 sites linking to this one. Interesting. What is interesting to me, (psychically, that is), is that last night I dreamed that I should do this today, but had forgotten to do it, …. until I read your post.
Way to Go!

[[ Does anyone have an idea of how many of HRC’s 18 Million voters are actually NOT voting for Obama?]]
Anything would be a guess, all depends on what happens in Denver and what happens up until Nov 4th. Hopefully Obama won’t be running for President.

From Open Letter by Sam Vaknin, PhD.
RE: Why Obama Will Be Worse Than Bush
Barack Obama appears to be a narcissist. Pathological narcissism is a reaction to prolonged abuse and trauma in early childhood or early adolescence. The source of the abuse or trauma is immaterial: the perpetrators could be dysfunctional or absent parents, teachers, other adults, or peers
In some ways narcissistic leaders are more nefarious and their effects more pernicious than psychopathic ones. They are more subtle, refined, socially-adept, manipulative, possessed of thespian skills, and convincing. Both types equally lack empathy and are ruthless and relentless or driven.
The malignant narcissist invents and then projects a false, fictitious, self for the world to fear, or to admire. He maintains a tenuous grasp on reality to start with and this is further exacerbated by the trappings of power. The narcissist’s grandiose self-delusions and fantasies of omnipotence and omniscience are supported by real life authority and the narcissist’s predilection to surround himself with obsequious sycophants.
The narcissistic leader invariably proffers an aesthetic of decadence and evil carefully orchestrated and artificial – though it is not perceived this way by him or by his followers. Narcissistic leadership is about reproduced copies, not about originals. It is about the manipulation of symbols – not about veritable atavism or true conservatism.
In short: narcissistic leadership is about theatre, not about life. To enjoy the spectacle (and be subsumed by it), the leader demands the suspension of judgment, depersonalization, and de-realization. Catharsis is tantamount, in this narcissistic dramaturgy, to self-annulment.
The narcissistic leader prefers the sparkle and glamour of well-orchestrated illusions to the tedium and method of real accomplishments. His reign is all smoke and mirrors, devoid of substances, consisting of mere appearances and mass delusions.
In the aftermath of his regime – the narcissistic leader having died, been deposed, or voted out of office – it all unravels. The tireless and constant prestidigitation ceases and the entire edifice crumbles. What looked like an economic miracle turns out to have been a fraud-laced bubble. Loosely-held empires disintegrate. Laboriously assembled business conglomerates go to pieces. “Earth shattering” and “revolutionary” scientific discoveries and theories are discredited. Social experiments end in mayhem.
#300 Maryland PUMA,

#280 asian4hillary,
Well said. It is sometimes hard to forge on but forge on we must. The stakes are too high. You know in the beginning when I first became a PUMA my mother couldn’t believe it. She doesn’t agree with me about alot of these things and she can’t stand John McCain. She asked how I could be going against the democratic party. I told her that she raised me to always do what I feel is the right thing to do, always speak up for myself, never let anyone or anything hold me back, never worry about what others think of me and don’t be afraid to do what you need to do. She said yes I did but I disagree with you about this. We left it at that. However, after that day she calls me to let me know if she sees something that pertains to our cause or if she sees a PUMA member on the news.
My point I guess is that we have to keep fighting and not let anyone step in our path. If you state your case clearly and if you are educated about the topic people will listen and at the very least you will gain their respect. (like my mother).

I hope this is true. The more that switch the more that will become comfortable about doing the right thing even if it means standing up to Obama. They need to know that we the people will not support them if they are up for reelection.
re #308 alohapuma..
I think Obama is just a plain old-fashioned “FOOL”..
your northern neighbor, I wish I could. I really do. But No WAY. This is what we were subjected to. this is how we were depicted. I’m not going to help the DNC, WCP, the media, or anyone else try to sweep this under the rug and pretend it didnt happen just so we can all pretend everything is alright. It’s NOT alright. It will never be alright until Barack Obama is back in Illinois with his tail between his legs and an intention for once in his privileged life to learn what it means to accomplish something by earning it rather than having it handed to him. It will never be alright until Howard Dean and his pack of incompetents have ZERO influence over the direction and policies of our Party.
When the picture of a distinguished senator and american is NEVER photoshopped onto the body of a cow, or a pig, or a porn actress, or any of the other revolting images I came across during a 45-second search in google.

Very well said but don’t forget the ones in Michigan who will not forgive or forget what Obama has done to us. He removed his name from our ballot, he sided with party leaders instead of the voters. Because of his name not being on the ballot it caused the meeting of the DNC on May 31st. So he was responsible for having 4 Super Delegates stolen from Hillary and given to him. He is responsible for the division of our party and I am sure Florida feels the same way for what happened to them there.

LETTER FROM HILLARY
Some PUMAs here were talking about having received an email-letter yesterday from Hillary Clinton.
I received an email-letter from HRC also. In my letter she doesn’t mention BO at all, but in at least one of the letters that a PUMA received (posted yesterday by ElyLosAngeles) she does mention BO… In that letter, she talks about… “…fighting to make sure Barack Obama is our next President…” and, “I’m going to work as hard as I can between now and November to help Barack Obama win the White House and Democrats win bigger majorities in Congress. I hope you will continue to fight with me…..”
It seems odd that HRC would send letters to supporters who donated and were registered at hillaryclinton.com and that different letters would say different things; some letters expressing (and urging) support of BO and other letters saying nothing about BO.
Here, I paste the email-letter I received from HRC (it looked like the same kinds of emails that I would get during the primaries)… and at the bottom of this post, I’m putting links to two of the posts from yesterday where people posted and discussed the letters they got from HRC.
First the letter I got from Hillary Clinton:
___________________
Dear ,
Since 2001, I have served as the honorary chair of HillPAC, an organization dedicated to helping working families. It is our goal to fight for a better future for every child, and for every family. To keep fighting for those who get up every day, no matter what the odds, and never give in. For those who never back down, and those who always stand their ground. HillPAC works to elect Democratic candidates to office who share these same ideals and goals and I’m proud to serve as the honorary chair and I hope you will join me in this mission.
Right now, I’m working with HillPAC to lead the fight on one very important issue, and we need your help.
The Bush White House is working to rewrite the definition of abortion in federal regulations to include common forms of birth control. This would undermine women’s health and put family planning services in danger. Simply, it puts women at risk — it could even prevent victims of sexual assault from receiving emergency contraceptives.
I need your help to speak up for the health of millions of American women who are in danger, once again, from the latest assault from the Bush administration.
Will you join me in sending a strong message to Health and Human Services Secretary Mike Leavitt to put women’s health ahead of right-wing ideology?
Click here to send a message to the Bush administration asking them to protect women’s health.
Imagine being told common forms of contraception like birth control pills could now fall under the definition of an abortion. This is another assault by the extreme right on the rights and health of women everywhere. They will do anything in their power to impose their beliefs — no matter what the risk to women.
We’ve worked hard to guarantee women have access to a full range of health and family planning services, and we can’t let the right wing undermine those efforts. This issue is far too important not to act, so I hope you’ll join HillPAC and me today in speaking out to protect women’s health.
Tell Bush’s HHS Secretary to protect women’s health!
Thank you for all your support. I’m so happy that we are still working together on vitally important issues like this one.
Sincerely,
Hillary Rodham Clinton

Will check out your site and get clicking – thats what I wanted to do for our site here – but I can find nothing that is just about us or Murphy’s interview – its the entire blog – and some of the things should not be seen – MHO -

News Coverage Of Obama Irks McCain Team
Here’s a Wall Street Journal article copied from http://online.wsj.com/article_email/SB121677550831675803-lMyQjAxMDI4MTI2MzcyNzM1Wj.html.
By ELIZABETH HOLMES and REBECCA DANA
John McCain used to jokingly call the media “my base.” Now, he and his aides are becoming increasingly frustrated with what they see as a growing press infatuation with his rival, Barack Obama.
That agitation has grown more intense this week, with the attention paid to Sen. Obama’s weeklong trip to Europe and the Middle East. Sen. McCain made a similar trip in March but didn’t have traveling press — and received very little attention. The Republican candidate’s trip to Colombia in early July included the media but attracted scant outside interest.
The McCain campaign publicized its disdain Tuesday through a Web video blasted to supporters and donors. “The media is in LOVE with Obama,” the site declares in red letters with a background of pink hearts around a photo of a smiling Sen. Obama. It asks readers to vote on the best crooning background music. The leading choice is Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You,” which runs under a string of spliced cable-news clips.
A McCain senior adviser says the video has been ginned up for a while but the campaign waited to release it. Tuesday’s first press conference held abroad by Sen. Obama proved to be the right opportunity, that person said.
Media executives defend their coverage, arguing that Sen. McCain has made it as far as he has in part because of the access he gave the media in the primary season, and the resulting coverage.
“It used to be the stories were ‘everyone was in love with McCain — he’s on his bus, he schmoozes the reporters, they all give him a break,’” said Paul Friedman, senior vice president for news coverage at CBS. “That’s the irony. These guys are now crying foul, and they’ve had the advantage of terrific relationships with the press.”
The networks also defended the decision to send their most prominent news personalities on the road with Sen. Obama, saying his tour is a major event and an opportunity to report on news across the Middle East. Executives at the networks say they have sought to balance the Obama coverage with comparable coverage of Sen. McCain.
“Sen. Obama’s trip is historic in its scope and its timing,” said Jon Banner, the executive producer of “World News with Charles Gibson” on ABC. “Visiting this many capitals and two war zones this late in the campaign — it’s something that’s never happened before.”
Mr. Banner said his reporters have been “trying to figure out ways to afford equal opportunity” to the McCain campaign. The Arizona senator appeared on ABC’s morning and evening newscasts on Monday. A network correspondent plans to interview him again later this week.
“There’s so much white noise out there during the campaign,” said MSNBC President Phil Griffin. “You’ve got to do things that make people take a second look. That’s what Obama succeeded in doing this time. But the McCain people will do the same thing.”
Sen. McCain’s criticism comes after months of calls for his opponent to visit Iraq, including a countdown on the Republican National Committee’s Web site ticking off the more than 900 days since the Illinois senator visited the war zone.
The Republicans aren’t the only ones crying favorites. The Fox News Channel has faced criticism that it is biased against Sen. Obama, with critics pointing to a number of on-air incidents, including one anchor’s suggestion that a fist-bump between Barack and Michelle Obama could be a “terrorist fist-jab,” and on-screen text identifying the candidate’s wife as “Obama’s baby mama.” Fox News is owned by News Corp., which also owns Dow Jones, publisher of The Wall Street Journal.
On Wednesday, a group of protesters from the organizations ColorofChange.org and MoveOn.org, led by the hip hop artist Nas, will deliver a petition with more than 600,000 signatures to Fox, urging the network to “end its pattern of racist attacks.”
A Fox News spokeswoman declined to comment.

Obama’s Tour of Israel Confronts Skeptics
Democrat’s Stands On Iran and Iraq Hurt Popularity
By CAM SIMPSON in Jerusalem and JAY SOLOMON in Amman, Jordan
Here’s an article copied from the Wall Street Journal at http://online.wsj.com/article_email/SB121672347459873301-lMyQjAxMDI4MTI2MzcyMjMzWj.html.
Sen. Barack Obama’s tour of Israel Wednesday is intended to help connect better with American Jews, but the Democratic presidential candidate has two big problems here: Iran and Iraq.
In Amman, Jordan, on Tuesday, Sen. Obama welcomed the Bush administration’s recent move to engage Iran over its suspected nuclear-weapons program, a tactic he has placed at the center of his foreign-policy platform — alongside his opposition to the Iraq war.
“The judgments I’ve made over the past two years matched up with the realities on the ground,” Sen. Obama told reporters in the Jordanian capital. “That’s where U.S. foreign policy has to go.”
But Israelis see Iran’s nuclear program as a threat to the existence of their state, especially given the rhetoric of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. And Israelis strongly backed the Bush administration’s campaign to oust former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, who was considered the Arab world’s fiercest foe of the Jewish state.
“People here have a gut feeling about who is going to be tougher on Israel’s enemies, and the answer is John McCain,” says Uri Dromi, a political analyst and commentator in Israel.
A poll published in a right-wing Israeli newspaper in June found 36% of Israeli Jews surveyed preferred Sen. McCain, compared with 27% who favored Sen. Obama. In a separate survey published this month by Tel Aviv University, 46% of the Israeli Jews polled thought Sen. McCain would be “better for Israel,” vs. 20% who said the same about the Democrat. A large group remained undecided.
The concern doesn’t seem partisan, but rather specific to Sen. Obama. Before she suspended her campaign, fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton was wildly popular with Israelis.
To bolster his credentials in Israel — and his popularity among American Jews — the Democrat’s schedule tentatively includes meetings with virtually every senior Israeli leader — meetings that are to be spliced with a series of photo opportunities across the country, according to Israeli officials.
These are expected to include laying a wreath at the Yad Vashem Holocaust memorial, visiting rocket-battered Sderot, which is just beyond the walls containing the Palestinian Gaza Strip, and even a possible nighttime stop to Jerusalem’s Western Wall, one of the most sacred sights in Judaism. Officials and analysts in Jerusalem say these are the staple stops for any American politician trying to burnish his or her Israeli credentials.
Tony Jassen, a 34-year-old Orthodox Jew from Seattle who moved to Israel in 1994, and a few new friends who met online, want to help Sen. Obama do just that. In February, Mr. Jassen founded “Israelis for Obama” through a social-networking feature on Sen. Obama’s campaign Web site to show the world that “Israelis and Israeli-Americans support an Obama presidency.”
Mr. Jassen’s campaign is far from viral. As of Tuesday morning, “Israelis for Obama,” had about 57 members. Mr. Jassen says only six actually live in Israel.
One of them, Jan Samson Altman-Schevitz, 30, recalls how a few members met in person for the first time about six weeks ago, so they could plot strategy.
Early on, he says, the goal was defined as building enough support in Israel to influence American Jews, basically through leveraging Israeli “street cred.”
“We have a sort of integrity living here, knowing the situation,” says Mr. Altman-Schevitz. “That’s what we can give Obama, the Obama campaign. We can say that there are people here who understand, as much as any citizen understands, the situation and we feel confident and safe having Obama.”
Falsehoods spread on the Internet about Sen. Obama’s religious background also diminish support for him here, Mr. Jassen and others say. Sen. Obama is Christian, but many here think he’s Muslim.
Sen. Obama is expected Wednesday to meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the West Bank city of Ramallah, a side journey Republican John McCain was criticized for omitting when he came to Israel in March.
At the Amman news conference Tuesday, Sen. Obama said Washington’s deep and longstanding support for Israel won’t change if he is elected. But he said he’d work from the “the minute I step into office” to make progress toward a two-state solution between Israel and the Palestinian territories.

Relax, FreePuma. I think you’ve been watching too much TV.
Wilk Radio Steve Corbett mention PUMApac when you call in PUMA’s 1888- 437 0098 in PA outside PA 570- 883-0098
Any growl today?

I wanted to try and keep this discussion going so from downstairs:
#392 Wizard: In regards to a standard letter designed for Hillary super delegates and then only sent as a group effort as opposed to a mass e-mailing by everyone – I like this idea and think this is the way to do it. I just don’t see the benefit of mass e-mailling Hillary’s SD’s and very well could peeve them off (which is the last thing we need).
Though I don’t know if it is necessary to pass it around to everyone to sign (that could be a big undertaking in itself) but rather just have it signed as From All The Members of PUMA PAC. Any thoughts?
You are welcome to send your letter with PUMAs on it, but sending in bulk not only makes them more aware of our size, but also seeing emails from so many different people is more powerful then one letter with a list of names. Up to you.
#345
I know you are probably right. I just don’t get why these people are so in love with Obama.
I will keep praying for our Hillary, that something will change, come August. (that we will get that knock-out we need)
#362 TucsonTransplant on 07.23.08 at 3:59 pm
Any growl today?
Just happened, check your email.
#355 bill-k,
You probably know that I am in agreement with this however, I still think it would be better to have individuals “sign” the letter. If not, it looks like maybe we aren’t that much of a force. If each person does it it shows their name and that they went to the trouble to be heard.
re#345 sunnypa..
actually I only seen part 1,2,3..
oh,don’t worry my friend I’m very relaxed..I’m a Vietnam vet and I’ve been through things much worse than a presidential campaign..
I tell it like I see em..sorry if I rained on your parade here..
Lara08,
Lara, great innitiative. To those who are skilled writers, please place post in Craiglist similar to Lara08 #323 (not the same text as Alohapuma mentioned, due to mass mail policy) .

Murphy or Maryland -
The media page is not coming up. Is there any way I can get addresses for the media ? I was wanting to mail a poster each to any of the media that we have addresses for. Or anyone that we have physical addresses. Is this OK or Not OK. Not sure if we are supposed to do anything that is outside of the daily prowl. Please let me know. There were addresses in the media page but I was travelling and now it is gone.
Sent of the prowl to the DNC C.C.
Check the e-mail (BCC list) list when sending it, there appears to be two “)” in the e-mail addresses that will have to be removed to get them to work.

Does anyone recall the televised democratic debate between Hillary, John Edwards and the ‘other man’? There was a moment during a discussion re. President Clinton, when the ‘man’ made a “joke” that involved racial stereotypes and we found it rather disturbing…The msm never said boo…

We are referring to SD’s that are still supporting Hillary. At least goalucard and myself were, not sure about bill-k? We don’t want these people to get angry with us and make them feel “targeted.”

hi anne,
things are goin’ good. busy. don is still with nasa and the saturn mission and I’m still in the schools with my art programs. did shoot a little film last month out in the desert. comedy. mostly fun but for very little money.
as far as navajos and hillary what I do know is most navajos voted for hillary among the democrats but with her out of the race they are now supporting mccain…with mccain and obama running many navajos are crossing party lines to vote for mccain. he’s the most known, as he was governor of arizona and for his military record.
the younger navajos, 25 and younger are more open to obama.
alot of navajos will end up in denver but you will find they are divided and will be split between the parties with older folks going right.
many women are most likely still supportive of hillary and don’t like the way she has been treated by the press and the public sentiment against her but I know lots of navajo women were rooting for her and would consider her for the next race if she were to run.
currently, I find more navajos crossing party lines and will vote mccain, younger voting obama and those who support hillary are now on the fence because even tho’ they support her they have to vote one way or the other.
many folks i’ve spoken too are considering changing from both parties and becoming independent.
many dine’ women like me voted hillary…they are around our age. mostly single or single parents. semi-retired, career oriented, educated (college grads) and are politically and socially conscious people.
are you working on getting her ready for the next race?
hope you and family are good!

My Response to Senator Clinton:
Dear Democratic Candidate for President Hillary Rodham Clinton,
You ask me what the most important issues are for me. I have only one – the future that my daughter will inherit. For her, I desire clean air. Plentiful, safe and healthy natural food. Clean drinking water that doesn’t come from a bottle. Clean renewable fuel resources and public oversight of those resources. Preservation and conservation of our Earth’s natural resources and native inhabitants. Safe neighborhoods in which to play and raise a family. World focus on the family and communities, not power and money. Affordable curative and preventative health care. Improved educational opportunities and affordable access to them. A stable economy. Equal opportunity and pay and advancement in employment. Employment benefits that are truly benefits, not a bottomless hole for our hard-earned wages. Reliable Social Security. Public officials and representatives who listen to and work for their constituents. Accountability for expenditures of public tax dollars. Non-discriminatory laws and practices. Transparent government. Protection and preservation of our civil and human rights. Non-gender based rights to make decisions about our physical bodies. Privacy. Freedom. Choice. Tolerance. Americans, not hyphenated Americans. Pride in being an American. True democracy – Power of the People, by the People, for the People. These are a very small part of the legacy I wish to leave her.
My legacy is in dire peril. Power continues to corrupt and maim our families, our communities, and our world. Selfishness and greed is raping our Earth. The government and big corporations are raping our people. The American dollar has lost its elasticity. The homeless rate rises; so goes the unemployment rate and uninsured. Jobs continue to go overseas in the name of the almighty dollar of exorbitant profit. Families must choose between food and fuel. Children are no longer safe to play in our own yards and neighborhoods. This sickness in our economy, families, and democracy is the result of greedy politicians and CEOs who care only for their wallets and their baubles, not the greater good of fellow man.
As a life-long Democrat, I looked forward to the chance to halt this downward spiral and elect a Democrat to take the reins as President of the United States. I looked forward to the possibility that a Democratic President and Democratic Congress could bring us back to the prosperity and respect that we had in the 90s under our last Democratic President. I watched the 2008 Democratic Primaries race with intense interest and hope. I investigated and researched the platforms of all the candidates; I dug deep into my soul to determine what meant the most to me. I chose one candidate who embodied all the things I want and I am. That candidate was you.
I cheered for you in my living room during your televised appearances. I sought you out on the internet for the ones that I missed. I devoured every tidbit of information on you in print and online. I donated. I blogged. I campaigned for you. I felt your love for this country and ALL of its people. I told my daughter all about you and explained how much you, as POTUS, could change her world for the better.
I shared your pain every time you were put down, counted out, disparaged, insulted, mocked and maligned. I felt your dismay every time your accomplishments and victories were overshadowed or dismissed. I shared your anger at the sexism and misogyny and bias demonstrated and condoned by the media and by our own political party. I was enraged at the calls for you to withdraw. I was awed by your determination and spirit. I was uplifted by your refusal to bow to the DNC and Democratic power brokers. I was inspired by your insistence that ALL Americans be given the chance to have their voice heard. I was moved to tears to see a wonderful example of fortitude, perseverance and grit that my young daughter could look up to and respect. My heart filled with pride as you won state after state, by sometimes staggering margins, in the latter part of the primaries. You and I were riding high on the wave of the most successful phase of candidacy: enormous wins in state primaries, the honor of receiving the most votes of any candidate in American history, and a huge electoral lead over Republican Presumptive Nominee John McCain.
Then…fade to black. You suspended your campaign. The Democratic Party told you that you no longer mattered, and for reasons known only to you, you listened. Then you called upon me to join you in your support of Senator Obama as the Democratic Nominee. I can not. I understand you are doing what you feel you must at this time. I hope you will understand that I must do what I feel is right at this time.
I will not vote for Senator Obama. The DNC will not bamboozle or blackmail or shame me into supporting an inexperienced, un-vetted, spineless Democratic candidate for POTUS. Senator Obama has proven beyond a doubt, through his actions, his words, and his associations, that he is a malleable puppet, a blank slate upon which anyone can write. He does not know himself or his values. His decisions are uneducated and impulsive and subject to dramatic revision at any time. He will lean anytime the “political winds shift directions.” He pushed the wrong button. He didn’t do it. He didn’t know. That’s not the person he knew. He refuses to accept any responsibility. Refuses to be accountable. Refuses to recognize and denounce the sexism and misogyny of the campaign. Refusal to admonish his supporters’ use of violence, threats, fear, intimidation and blanket accusations of ‘racism’ in their campaigning. He is not the uniter he claims to be. All one has to do is look around them to see the fights among friends and families and communities and the deep, widening rift in the Democratic Party. Everything about him is indicative of an insecure, uncertain, egotistical narcissist that is willing to do anything to gain power and get his name in history books. He cares not for the people of this country. Instead of promoting unity, his campaign has set racial tolerance back 60 years and shamed those who died in the attempt to secure equality for all. He is no MLK or RFK or JFK. He’s a wannabe, a copy cat, a fraud. He does not represent ME.
So now it’s my turn, along with millions upon millions of others, to be told we don’t matter and we are not needed in the “NEW” Democratic Party. The Deans, Brazilles, and Pelosis of OUR Democratic Party have made it very clear that my unwavering support of your DEMOCRATIC candidacy, has labeled me a traitor. I AM NO TRAITOR. What I am is a patriotic citizen who is not afraid to fight for my daughter’s future. What I am is a PUMA Democrat.
I will not stand idly by and watch America go to hell in a hand-basket – no matter how much Reverend Wright damns us there. I will not watch her take her last breath as the land of the free and the home of the brave. I WILL NOT SIT DOWN. I WILL NOT SHUT UP. I WILL NOT FALL IN LINE. I WILL NOT QUIT. I will take up the battle from here. I will fight – for you, for me, for my daughter – for all of America.
All I ask is that you stand WITH me. Very, very soon I expect to see you step out of the shadow of the NEW Democratic Party and heed the PUMA call to save our nation from corruption and death. We have supported you from the start; we support you now against all odds. We will continue to fight to secure your opportunity to place your name on the nomination ballot in Denver. You speak for me, and I KNOW you will choose to place your name on that ballot. I will watch you take the oath of President of the United States of America with tears in my eyes and pride in my heart. For you see, I BELIEVE. I BELIEVE that together, Democratic Candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, we can change the world, starting with our precious nation. Together we will leave a beautiful legacy to our children.
Stand strong and proud. Do not waiver. It is no longer about the Democratic Party. America is depending on you. So am I. So is my daughter.
Oh dear God, Lanny Davis dissin’ Katie Curtic for her trying to get a “gotcha” on BO.
of all people..Sean Hannity (who I would normally despise)..

MIMI 1020 – don’t know if anyone answered your question about the Billboard. It was put out there about a month ago – some people liked the idea (I wanted to sponsor one in my city) but the posts were flying so fast and getting buried and no one really paid much attention. But the billboards are a bit expensive – roughly $1500 each. I thought it would be a great visual on a very busy highway and would be a great statement. I dropped the idea when there was not much interest – perhaps the cost was too high. But it would be a talking point for the media if every state had one for the month. Perhaps we can still do it in November.
Anything to BUMP the O man from the pedestal.
He is not the change America needs.
Growl done..and in reference to Sean Hannity, I agree that I was never a fan, but I enjoy him lately. If you think he sticks it to him on TV, you should listen to his radio show where he has greater freedom.
Obama’s Economic Plan
For those who have been incensed by things like Obama’s fake Presidential seal and his repainting of the airplane, keep in mind that this isn’t just a reflection of his arrogance and his disregard for donations and taxpayer money. This is a clear reflection of his economic plan … our economic future … if he should become President.
It’s almost unnecessary to read Obama’s published economic plan. First, we know we can’t trust anything he says. He’ll flip-flop on that plan in a heartbeat if it suits him. Second, actions speak louder than words.
Obama will waste money … and increase our taxes … to feed his ego, stroke his friends, buy favors, and squash anyone who speaks out against him.
We saw a clear picture of this during the primaries. He outspent Hillary by two-, three-, and sometimes four-to-one. Yet she consistently earned more votes per dollar spent. Hillary knows how to do more with less.

Murphy…
forgot my addendum to Geraldine Keam’s opinion:
Hers’ is similar to mine… but, another of my friends, who is actually a reporter for the ‘Navajo Times’ did not seem to concur. As I blogged that day.
The Navajo Code talkers from WW II- are probably for McCain- remember they literally waited along the railroad tracks with their arrows and bows when the railroad came to take them off to Military camps to train for WW II.
The young ungs in my in-law family are NOT for Obama- but their mothers and myself probably influenced them a lot growing up. They even sent me Hillary Stuff early in the primary. AND… Navajo is a Matrilineal Culture so the oldest woman is big in the hogan.
But I will try to convince my other friend (the reporter) to get the editors to cover this angle in a story for the Navajo times… if SHE has any interest in doing so.

PS Here’s my letter to Joe Wineke if anyone is in a rush and wants to plagerize it.
Dear Mr. Wineke:
I am writing to you as a lifelong Democrat to urge you NOT to remove Ms. Bartoshevich’s delegate status. The last time I checked, this was a free country and the Democratic Party was democratic. I can’t even believe I am having to contact you about this issue. It should not even be an issue. Ms. Bartoshevich has made a public commitment to fulfill her responsibilities as a delegate as she is slated to do. Her additional comments regarding who she intends to vote for in November is something she is free to do. I do not believe you or anyone at the DNC has the right to remove her delegate status for whatever larger vision you believe you have that rationalizes such an action, since the largest vision of all is that we are a free and democratic society.
I hope that by the time all of this is over, I can still say I am proud to be a member of the Democratic Party. Right now, the jury is out on that.
first juno.com did not let me send the daily prowls e-mails, and now yahoo is also bulking up…any ideas?

Health Plan From Obama Spurs Debate
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/23/us/23health.html?_r=1&ref=politics&oref=slogin
Even if the next president and Congress can muster the political will, analysts question whether significant savings would materialize in as little as four years, or even in 10. But as Mr. Obama confronts an electorate that is deeply unsettled by escalating health costs, he is offering a precise “chicken in every pot” guarantee based on numbers that are largely unknowable. Furthermore, it is not completely clear what he is promising.————
Has anyone seen this video at “Noquarter” about Obama calling the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs his? Turns out he isnt even on the committe, much less the chairman.
http://noquarterusa.net/blog/2008/07/23/obama-the-banking-committee-is-my-committee/#comment-488614
In reply I was kind of joking around, but now am wondering what you guys think of the idea.
Here is what I said over there
“Maybe we should all send Senator Dobb a nice email for all the work that he has contributed to Obama’s Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs. For that matter maybe we should send an email to all of them thanking them for their help in passing his bill through.”
I think if quite a few peole wrote the members of the committe, maybe a few of them might speak out. Just maybe for added emphasis send the Youtube link where they can hear Obama’s praise of his committe.
Its obvious to me that working ‘within’ the BO camp is for the birds. NO rewards for the Democrat party from me.

USA Today wrote an Op-Ed about the harsh rules for demonstrators at the Denver convention:
Quote:
City officials stalled for months after the American Civil Liberties Union of Colorado sought information about convention plans. The city responded only after several groups sued…
…
A February promise from Mayor John Hickenlooper that at least one designated parade route would end “within sight and sound of the convention site” was essentially abandoned. The route now ends several blocks away, and parades must end one hour before convention sessions begin.
Meanwhile, demonstrators who want to be near the hall, where their message can be heard and seen, will be confined to a “demonstration zone” surrounded by mesh wire and concrete barriers. It is about two football fields from the hall’s main entrances. It looks as if the
delegates would need superhuman powers to see or hear the marchers. Which seems to be precisely the idea.
…
Nita Gonzales, a Denver native and longtime organizer, says the city is merely paying “lip service to civil liberties.”
Try removing the ( ) that surround some addresses.

Aaron Klein, Jerusalem bureau chief for World Net Daily, sends the following advance copy:
RAMALLAH—In a meeting here today, Sen. Barack Obama assured the Palestinians he supports a “negotiated settlement” that may grant the Palestinian Authority control over sections of Jerusalem, a senior Palestinian Authority official who took part in the meeting told WND.
“He assured us there was a misunderstanding when he said in [June] he supports the Israelis rights to hold on to Jerusalem. He told us he corrected this right away and that he supports a negotiated settlement that will give the Palestinians territory,” said the senior PA official.
The official, who was present when Obama met with PA President Mahmoud Abbas today, was referring to a speech Obama delivered June 4 to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee in which he stated if he is elected president, “Jerusalem would remain the capital of Israel and it must remain undivided.”
Immediately following the speech, Obama flip-flopped during a CNN appearance, explaining he meant Jerusalem shouldn’t be physically divided with a partition.

I think for the exposure, a billboard is not that expensive. We can put it up and call the media and put up a “stink” about it – like we find it offensive. So they would have to report it. Like guerilla marketing…
If you can raise the money for it and put one up in Florida. I will match you and put one up in Southern California. How satisfying would that be !! Of course my husband would kill me for spending more moola but what the heck. Play hard or go home, right ?
Google billboards – there is a company with rates. But I just found an article about a Republican putting up bill boards in Florida… Let me copy and paste in the next post…
My prowl is done. (thanks for the help mamapuma)

Nice job on your letter.
Hi All, adkins913 here. Don’t get scetchy. I set up a new email account like Murphy asked us to and changed myself to a respectable PUMA name. Wonderful letter, you spoke for so many of us.
This is an extract of an article July 16 about a guy that put up a billboard on his own in Florida… we can start our own controversy by putting our own billboard – “Love your country – do not vote Obama”…
A Florida man has stirred up controversy in the Orlando area by buying ad space on billboards that show an image of the falling World Trade Center’s Twin Towers alongside the words, “Please don’t vote for a Democrat.”
The ad also points readers to a Web site, http://www.TheRepublicanSong.com, which posts a country-rock music video written and performed by billboard creator and businessman Mike Meehan.
Critics say the billboard ads should come down, but Meehan says he believes those who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks are being lost in the shuffle of the presidential campaign…..
I need to go for a while. Everyone have a nice day.
Another misled article in the NY Times
Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton lent her campaign an additional $1 million at the end of June, underscoring the difficulty she is having staying ahead of creditors and retiring a mountain of campaign debt, filings with the Federal Election Commission show.
Even though the fight for the Democratic nomination came to a close in early June, with Senator Barack Obama emerging as the presumed nominee, Mrs. Clinton’s debts to vendors increased to $12 million at the end of the month from $10.4 million at the end of May. In addition, after her latest loan on June 30, Mrs. Clinton has now lent her campaign a total of $13.2 million.
Mo Elleithee, a Clinton spokesman, said the additional loan was made to “pay immediately outstanding debts.”
Mrs. Clinton’s unpaid bills and the degree to which Mr. Obama is working to help her tackle them has been a sensitive spot in the efforts to bring their supporters and the party together. Mr. Obama himself presented a check of $2,300 to Mrs. Clinton at the end of June as a symbolic gesture, and her campaign has continued to send out e-mail asking for help tackling its debt. But the Clinton campaign took in just $2.7 million from donors in June, less than the $5.4 million it spent.

If we do a billboard… it should be amazingly patriotic. Maybe with the American Flag as the backdrop with faces of very diverse individuals on it. It needs to be cool for the younger generation. would not hurt if we could get some clebs like Cheryl Crow.

My letter for today, with some slight editorial variations
______________________
Dear Member of the DNC Credentials Committee,
At the end of the primary season, neither candidate of the Party had enough delegate support to claim victory. Pushing superdelegtes to endorse early has only splintered the voters and made for a very un-unified voter block; and neither was it helpful for the Rules & Bylaws committee when they dis’ed the American people at that May 31st meeting.
The pretense that Barack Obama is the Party’s nominee is nothing more than wishful thinking, promoted by media hype and spin. Each candidate won approximately 18 million popular votes; but Hillary by far is the stronger, more electable candidate because only she won the larger delegate rich states needed to win in the fall against John McCain; she acquiring both the popular vote as well as getting over 318 of the Electorial Map needed to win. By comparison Obama won the smaller, mostly red republican states which he is sure to lose come November. Without Hillary Clinton, Senator Obama cannot hope to win in the fall. The younger voters are increasingly becoming disenchanted at Obama’s recent flip-flops; and all eyes are beginning to wake up to the unfair media bias, because now they are doing to McCain what was done to Hillary, so that by the fall every single American voter will know the facts from fantasy.
All that I/we ask is that a fair and vigorous contest at the Convention decide the outcome. And yes, that would mean giving Florida and Michigan back their 100% delegation while at the same time giving credit to Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton to have done so; because she was the only candidate fighting for Florida and Michigan voters. Both the DNC and Obama were not and stopped every single means to achieve a fair and equitable conclusion; and that would include doing a re-vote.
As members of Puma PAC, (People United Means Action), the Voice of the Voters in the Democratic Party (http://blog.pumapac.org) we have little confidence that the leadership will allow a fair vote to proceed at this time; but if you really are for the will of the American people and do not serve a party master, you will revisit your postions and do the RIGHT THING!
Even so, we do expect YOU, as members of the very important Credentials Committee, to do all that you can to make sure that Senator Clinton and her delegates are given every opportunity to make their case and to place her name in nomination for an OPEN and FREE roll call vote on the Convention floor; and that means seating Florida and Michigan at full value. Not only do we demand it, but HISTORY demands it. Because WE THE PEOPLE will not soon forget what is currently taking place in our nation’s political arena today.
Because of the bias and undemocratic way in which the DNC conducted this primary campaign, there are MILLIONS of Democrats so disgusted with the Party that they will NOT support its selected nominee. Add to that, the many more millions of Republicans and Independents who support Hillary for President… well now, what can I say, Mr Obama and his team have a very uphill climb to gain the White House. He may have locked in the black vote during the primaries, but that very same black vote will amount to only 12-16% come the November election. Hillary could have easily overcome that because she appeals to the larger blue collar white voter…. And that *is* a voter block that will surely come out to the polls in November in huge numbers. In short, if the Party keeps on insisting on favoring Obama because of his charismatic charm, YOU WILL FAIL because it is policies and platforms and yes, the biggest obsticle for him is his poor judgement, lack of character as well as all his past associations. To be clear, he CANNOT WIN.
YET HILLARY CAN!

I think Obama is showing signs of fraying at the edges.
Front page of Newsweek magazine is *61, title, “What He Believes.” A lot has been said about how *61 appears to behave or act as if he thinks he is the messiah. This article shows why he appears that way. It describes his interpretation of Matthew 25 to be that, “Everyone, in other words, is in this salvation thing together.” There is a paragraph explaining that after his studying his belief is that “Christ’s gift of salvation was to the community of believers, not to individual people in isolation.” It refers to individuals who believe as he does as “adherents of this particular theology.”

My letter to Hillary at Hillpac
Dear Senator Clinton,
All issues of importance
are outlined in your letter and affect everyone, some more than others. The issue that is the most important to me is not outlined anywhere. First and foremost I am a staunch supporter of you and the causes that you fight for. I am a single mother of three children, two daughters and a son. As a family we often discuss the upcoming election and the flaws that had plagued the nomination process. How am I to make them understand, when I don’t understand myself what the democratic party and the media have done to alter the nominating process. In all my years, I have never witnessed such a gross abuse of the democratic principles that I and many others hold dear. Senator Obama has not been adequately vetted, his assosciations are more than a bit troublesome and his utter lack of experience is more than frightening. What are my children to learn from this? Shall I tell my daughters not to worry? Shall I tell them that women have been treated this way for centuries and that possibly in the future things will be different? What about my son? He has lived all eighteen years of his life surrounded by strong, capable, resourceful women, is he now to believe that everything his mother has accomplished pales in comparison to the accomplishments of men? What am I to say? Get used to it? Get over it? Move on? It’s a mans world? The same old indoctrinating comments that men and women have heard for centuries. As I have stated earlier, all of the pocketbook issues that you have mentioned for Hillpac are obviously important to everyone. But when an entire political system is being manipulated or worse is broken, how can any pocketbook issues be tackled? Without an honest and fair political system in place, how can any significant issue be addressed openly and honestly? With the democratic engine broken, how do we drive toward fixing the many problems we are facing? Let’s fix the engine first! Thank You for all that you do on behalf if the american people.
Sincerely, Michelle Woda

It’s not about derailing Obama. This is about making sure that the correct candidate is nominated in August. Hillary Clinton has more experience, received more votes, and would have an easier time winning in November. Neither candidate received enough pledged votes to secure the nomination. People need to understand that Barack Obama is the presumptive nominee and nothing is certain until Denver!
Hillary 08/Puma!
Growl completed. The email addresses sent had 2 parens that shouldn’t be in there – I took them out and they went fine.
Yes everyone get over to CNN they are all saying we are racist, we are losers , we are really republicans you know the same old same old. We need to get over there with intelligent answers to the question even though knowing Jack he will just read the most nasty ones (that are bad about us)_
Opening paragraph in our local newspaper about *61 in Jordan – “Democratic presidential contender Barack Obama stepped into the thicket of Mideast politics Tuesday, declaring in Jordan that neither the Israelis nor the Palestinians are strong enough internally to make the bold concessions necessary for peace.”
And just how is his declaration that they are not “strong enough internally” helpful in our relationships with these people?
ok..Growl is done…those nasty little parens ()…
#460 tree,
I believe the main reason Murphy put the cow there is to show it as an example in order to expose the kind of sexism and humiliations that Hillary as a woman candidate had to go through during this primary, especially sad is the fact that no one in the DNC ever lifted one finger to defend her at anytime.
I feel like throwing up every time I see that cow.

Marlyand Puma: Your letter is very touching. Your daughter’s quite lucky.
Caffert would not post my comment. Was in moderattion for the longest time. Made some excellent points, if I do say so myself, in a civil by firm manner. No maliciousness at all. Signed in PUMA PAC Democrat. I did not see one PUMA post in the comments. God help us! Our right to free speech is in jeopardy. How can this be happening to our country? My heart sinks a little more each day, but ignites my resolve to make sure Nobama is NO POTUS!

Thank you! It is invaded by negative comments on PUMAs and Clintons! I hate Cafferty and CNN!
The only one over at CNN, worth listening to is Lou Dobbs..He tells it like it is. He just keeps hammering away at the stupidity and arrogance in this country.
I love the way he always pounds on the FDA…no one does that!! but him!!
Theres more but I won’t go into that.
Maryland Puma,
Your letter was written from the heart, the most daunting letter to write when you remove yourself from the equation and you think of “them instead of “I”. Your letter addressed issues that will affect future Americans and elderly of our country; for that I salute you.
All we can do is hope and pray Hillary will come out as the nominee in Denver, I’m very hopeful up to now. NOBAMA is more dangerous than Bush, he’s a BIG THREAT to America, what this country stands for, what our founding fathers believed America should be for generations to come. Our founding fathers are turning in their graves right now, this is not the America they envisioned. I’m a constitutionalist, I don’t believe in political correctness, I don’t believe in tolerance, in fact I do NOT believe in affirmative action; that is a legal form of discrimination. To make legal discrimination against one sector of our society is to discriminate all. As Asian, I should be supportive of affirmative action, I am against it. When the Democratic Party start pushing for “special laws” I knew its only a matter of time when voice of the people don’t matter anymore. And here it comes! I hate it when I’m right, but I’ve seen this trend before in another country and survived. I call it “the years of living dangerously.” I don’t want United States of America and its people to go through it, it’s a nightmare that never ends to survivors. Once you’ve lost your freedom, it would take life to gain it back, the ground will be covered in crimson red. I have three choices this November is Hillary is not the nominee; 1) stay at home 2) vote for a third party 3)write-in name of Hillary. Those three choices I’m afraid is bad for America, I MUST vote the next best candidate to lead our country that I can TRUST to do the RIGHT THING for America; my ONLY choice and ONLY OPTION is Senator John McCain. I’m American first, welfare of my country supersedes everything else.
PUMAS, during the Obama press conference in Paris on friday, you’ve got an opportunity to be heard ! !
L’Express, a very well-known French news magazine will be present during the press conference and has committed itself to ask ONE question to Obama. They will select the question from the ones proposed on their web site by their readers.
Here is the link :
http://www.lexpress.fr/actualite/monde/amerique/une-question-pour-obama_534491.html
Once there, go to the bottom of the page : section “Commentez cet article” : enter your Pseudo (user name) ; e-mail ; write your question to Obama, and then click “Envoyer” (=send).
If you are numerous to ask the same question, maybe the magazine will hear you and choose YOUR question. You’ll see I’ve already left mine. You can write your OWN question in English (some people have done that already).
Good luck, and let me know if you have any problem understanding my instructions …
Chris Matthews needs to take a vacation….before he pops a vein in his head and has a stroke!!!
re#500 ARP..
constantly accusing people of being racists as a cynical tactic to get what you want may work in the short run..but in the long run that trick could backfire and become as ineffective as the cry of the “Kid who cried wolf”…
people will eventually get burned-out and sick and tired of being called racists all the time by cynical political opportunists…
just like the “kid that cried wolf”..the day could very well arrive when that kid really sees the WOLF..and no one will come to his aid..

The party has betrayed us. It has sought to manipulate us and when that didn’t work, it used brute force.
The party and its presumptuous nominee are failures.
They miscalculated, cynically using the tools of authoritarianism against us and we will have none of it.

Obama is a nut!!!!!
I just got thru blogging on Jacks blog, gave him an ear full. Told him maybe if he spent the day with a Pumapac he might learn something. Ya’ll need to blog that one.
The press and MSM seem to be pushing O even more than ever, perhaps because of our opposition. I am even finding FOX suspicious these days. Free speech and right to dissent is dead in America.
How in the HELL Obama established his credentials and qualifications as a Commander in Chief, while in the Mideast, is something i must have missed.
But I’m not going to let this work me up anymore. I have been a ‘contrary’ all my life and my vote has never counted for s**t.
This country has become the world’s biggest nut house without walls.
“United we stand, divided we fall” Republican/Democrat is the worst form of divisiveness ever established on earh. im going to some blogs and copy and paste them to cafferty….he has met his match !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Probably too late to post this – meant to do it yesterday – but forgot – just for information purposes according to Demcon Watch as of 6/6 – don’t know if there are any more that have switched – if we purse the Rules Committee to give full count rather than 1/2 count as superdelegate for Michigan and Flordia – as it stands as of 6/6
BO had 16 superdelegates for Mich with 1/2 vote – and Hillary had 7 superdelegates with a 1/2 vote -
Florida BO had 7 delegates with a 1/2 vote – Hillary had 5 delegates with a 1/2 vote – if they gave full status – HE WOULD BE MORE AHEAD THEN EVEN NOW -
For what its worth.
Has anybody from here who posted get their post posted? Did that make sense

I posted a question (Pseudo Beverly). I used a free Internet translation site for French.
OK, here is my third post to the Cafferty file:
In contrast to other comments on this board, the P.U.M.A. movement is growing larger as more and more Obama supporters become disallusioned by his constant changing of position and seeing for themselves that pretty – yet hollow rhetoric does not a President make.
It is still not posted yet, vile, mean spirited Pro Obama comments are. Maybe I should just accept it as one more irrefutable example of media bias, but I just cannot let this slide.

I can just see it now~~~another ‘Altamont Speedway’ with about 1000 Harleys swirling around Denver, along with the National guard and everyone else going to the Party’s ‘party’.

How can we do that? Please forgive my “stupidity”!
Luv your name!
OMG they took mine off of moderation and got rid of it. I use no curse words , I can not believe what bulls**t this is.. my post is gone ….I checked and double checked…
Hey, PUMAs. Did my prowl letter – what a good feeling.
I am outta here for the night. Still no internet at home.
Have a great evening.

No, we are good. I just want to help the other Pumas prowling around trying to get to Denver.
#517 delphinefromfrance
Check out the post from Delphine. My question was about the convention. Maybe we can all stay on the same topic.
Murphy, can we prowl or Alice thed Cafferty site. I am trying to remain diginified and appropriately represent our position, but I am so mad right now I want to firebomb CNN.
I got through a post on McCafferty. However, I did notice a bunch of negative stuff that really goofy. Either he has a low IQ following or there is some heavy moderating going on.
My letter to Wineke
RE: Ms. Baroshevich
Dear Mr. Wineke,
The railroading of the democratic process MUST stop.
The bullying of Democratic delegates and super-delegates MUST stop.
Where is it dictated that delegates and/or super-delegates are required to disclose their candidate preference before the Convention? Why is voting for what is best for our COUNTRY playing second-fiddle to what is best for the PARTY? Since when is dissent undemocratic?
If Ms. Bartoshevich was qualified enough to become a delegate, then she is STILL qualified to remain a candidate. I admire her for having the strength and the fortitude to NOT fall in line and to remain true to the voice of the voters.
Instead of unjustly martyring a respected member of your state, perhaps you should be asking why the number of delegates and super-delegates who are wavering in their support of Senator Obama is growing. Perhaps you should be worried about how many delegates will remain quiet until the convention due to the lovely example you are attempting to make out of Ms. Bartoshevich.
I could give you millions and millions of reasons why I think she can not in good faith support Senator Obama. They’re called PUMAs – and they vote.
As the Democratic Party Chair in Wisconsin, you are in a unique position to begin to right the wrongs of the Democratic Party during the 2008 Primaries. If you do not take corrective measures in every way and means possible to curb the corruption that is quite evident in the Party, your voters will see to it that you too, lose your exalted position.
Should that happen, I, as a PUMA, I will rejoice that democracy has prevailed against all odds.

Murphy, awesome job on the posts and on the prowls! Thanks for all your hard work, and Maryland PUMA, loved your letter! Sorry I can’t catch up on all the posts right now. ROAR on my friends.
Maybe we could email O’Rilley or Hannity and tell them what happened to us on Cafferty?
007 girl:
Guess what, you and goanderson have the same “moderator,” because you’re both in California. That makes it difficult to talk so we might need to rethink this. If you have ideas I’m open.

#552 – I agree with you on Caferty – I have been posting on his blog prior even to the primary – he is arrogant, smug and THINKS HE knows everything about politics – not one of my posts ever appeared – of course I was rude to him – not vulgar but rude.
Good luck.
PROWL Letter
Dear Member of the DNC Credentials Committee,
Regardless of all the pontificating and posturing and promotion that there is only one Democratic candidate, the fact remains that NEITHER candidate for the nomination of our Party for President of the United States has enough delegate support to claim victory. This mandates a fair, open and vigorous contest at the Convention should decide who that Nominee will be. Sadly, I have little confidence that delegates and super-delegates will be allowed the opportunity to voice the will of their constituents. I no longer have faith that the Democratic leaders will allow a fair vote to proceed.
However, I expect YOU, as a member of the very important Credentials Committee, to do all that you can to make sure that Candidate Senator Clinton and her delegates are given every opportunity to make their case and to place her name in nomination for an OPEN and FREE vote on the Convention floor.
The biased and undemocratic way the DNC has conducted the 2008 primary, piled on top of the insult and injury of the 2000 and 2004 elections has splintered the Democratic Party. Millions and millions of Democrats have changed their party registration, will not vote, will vote third-party, or cross the political aisle and vote for Republican candidate John McCain.
Additional attempts to subvert the will of the people between now and the Convention will result in millions more Democrats who will defect or abandon an increasingly authoritarian and un-democratic Party. The outcome depends on you.
As a member of Puma PAC, People United Means Action, the Voice of the Voters in the Democratic Party (http://blog.pumapac.org), I am working hard to restore the democratic process to that which our Founding Fathers intended. My power may be limited on the floor of the convention, but I hold one power that can negate any successful effort thwart, manipulate or strong-arm the democratic process – I will vote MY choice in November.
Should Senator Obama be HANDED this nomination, I will be one of those defectors and I will vote for John McCain.
Believe me when I say that I am not alone. There are millions upon millions of PUMAs, Some of us are organized, some of us are not. All of us refuse to vote for Senator Obama.
I hope you remember this letter while you are contemplating your choice at the Convention. I will know if you did, and I ,too, will remember in November.
Thank you,
btw, I could care less if they moderate my messages, However, it’s nice that they gave us the publicity we needed to target Hillary Clinton Supporters who feel the same way we do. I have my voting slip ready here. Changed to Independent.

Hi, I have IM but it’s through my daughter’s AOL.

Hello, am I still in moderation?
Thank goodness. What I find difficult is that I use to kinda like Msnbc and CNN. More than Fox that is for sure but now.. I have to get my fix from FOx? Go figure!
Here’s my idea: I think today, for the first time, PUMA has made it big on CNN. If Cafferty posted one of his questions today asking about PUMAs, I think that it is because they cannot ignore us anymore. I think, even though he is my most hated media fool, we should write a message to CNN (Prowl?) stating where we stand and denouncing those stupid comments regarding us being racists, jealous fools, old women, republicans, etc, etc.
What do you think?
#589 Headclunker they Posted your comment it’s not waiting in Moderation??? I checked again and my post is gone out of moderation and off floating in space.. it’s so unfair.
The Puma story was just on CNN… the old fart made us sound like a bunch of …. wackos?
#600 hillstheone

Soldier on, all!
I did my prowl and so now I am going to go and post on CNN… that is if they will have me?
#599, If you are referring to the Cafferty file – they are not moderating, they are refusing to post pro Puma comments. But certainly will Pro Obama. This is the kind of crap that allows an unqualified candidate in the White House because far too many people vote based on sound bytes and snips of info. from easily obtained sources. Each time this happens, no matter how insignificant, it erodes our Democracy little by little.
mine are gone from moderation also

#605 – Amarissa – I agree I think we all should blog onto his question of the day – Jack Cafferty – CNN – and shut his blog down from overheating – I am on it now.
ANYONE SEEN TRISH TODAY??? Not heard from her at all – and she has MAIL – good MAIL from me.
I posted at Cafferty’s site:
“You could probably find members of PUMA to represent each of the opinions above, i.e. Clinton hold outs, sore losers, racists, McCain infiltrators, sour grapes, spoiled brats, etc., but on the whole, this really isn’t about Senator Clinton, or even Senator Obama.
Senator Obama is the result of the DNC/RBC’s belief that, since dyed in the wool Democrats wouldn’t abandon their party (“where else can they go?” ) , they could manipulate their own rules and still retain loyal Democrats. My take is they believed that one too many times, and this time it didn’t realize fruition.
Now, most PUMAs are unwilling to reward the Democratic Party’s bad behavior by voting for Senator Obama.
I guess when you’ve reach the point of “enough is enough”, enough really is enough.
Dances”
A suggestion for the blogs who accuse us of being racist, republicans, sore losers and the like.
Does anyone remember the individual letters to Howard Dean?
Me thinks they may need a bit of recycling and recirculation on the media blogs and web.
Show them your individual voices and let that speak for PUMA PAC.

How do we find out everyone’s log on name to search for?
I read somewhere recently where a formerly popular very pro-Hillary blog (now in the tank for BO) was denigrating PUMAs. I used to blog at that site but left sometime ago. I did check it out today out of curiosity and found 92 posts, total. (During the same time frame we had 565 posts.) All of these 92 posts were made by 7 bloggers! This PUMA is not frightened!
Numbers never tell the whole story. Yet this is further proof to me that we are making it happen. I have some friends/family who support what we are doing but have not yet joined.
I really believe there are more people who support our cause than our membership numbers reflect.
I am so thankful to be a PUMA.

I guess that Cafferty forgot the rules of two sides to every story.. he listened to all the rants of what racist , stupid on and on people we are but could not let one of us defend ourselves…. GRRRRRRRRRRRR. Hey Pookie I’ll see you out in space too with your post..lol

What if we started off the post with CNN as being Obama robots and after they scanned the first four lines I believe was the rule that I heard somewhere – we let them have it with our Puma power – worth a try -
I am off for the night – having guests over – behave Pumas – still working on my internet project.

Quote FROM Debra Bartoshevich…
“The Wisconsin Democratic Party is holding a conference call THIS FRIDAY, July 25, to make a decision about whether to allow me to retain my status as a Hillary Clinton delegate to the Democratic National Convention in August in Denver.”
BACKGROUND: The Wisconsin DNC is telling Debra she will lose her delegate status. She is fighting so she can vote for Hillary @ the convention. Please help Debra by immediately contacting the Democratic Party Chair and ask them to stop rigging this process by punishing someone simply for supporting Hillary Clinton:

Hi guys..those of you looking to CHAT:
You don’t need to set up a billion IM’s. If you come to the chat you can effectively private chat with any member in the room, or you could stay in the main room and chat. We haven’t had a problem with trolls since that first night, so it’s rather private. LIS, if you want to say something to any person in the room privately you have only to ‘private chat’ them and voila, you’re set.
Just suggesting, as there are a few PUMA’s who regularly come by here and would like more pac participation. Also, it’s already here.

re#596 diva2
During the primaries Hispanic voters overwhelmingly voted for Hillary 2 to 1..at least..honestly Hispanics don’t trust Obama..the relationship between Hispanics and Blacks is often contentious and hostile..”it’s history” as Hillary once said..
I can tell you Hispanic voters now feel they are being held hostage now by the DNC..they have nowhere else to go..so Obama is getting some boost there with his pandering..
the GOP shot themselves in the foot by embracing rabid anti- immigration extremists…Hispanics remember this too painfully..However,McCain being the maverick he is could possibly pick up a significant percentage of that vote..
so the Hispanic vote is still in play and could surprise everyone come November
Georgia: re Hannity on CNN. I see one PUMA post. :/ I posted about an hour and half-two hours ago and it’s not cleared moderation. I can not stand the biased BS in the media. I wish there was something we could do about it.
Anyway, I agree, if we weren’t in their minds we wouldn’t be spoken of so often.
Can we get an update on our member numbers? ANd do we know how many of those numbers are real vs/trolls?
I love updates!
All this attention you’re giving the Cafferty File just makes more money for him because it looks like he has a huge viewership. I know it’s hard to ignore the bots, but he is purposefully making his questions controversial so that people will respond. Then they can pick and choose which to post. Don’t play their game, ignore him and his site.
By the way:
Welcome to all the new members I see here tonight.
Welcome back to the seasoned members.
I am proud to be a part of this team and this movement.
I would like to send a HUGE HUGE thank you to TrishfromCanada and her research team for the stellar job they are doing. You all inspire the best in me for your selfless dedication.
Another HUGE HUGE thank you to ‘Editor PUMA’ (not her screen name, she doesn’t blog but lurks, and that is my nickname for her to protect her identity). This behind the scenes PUMA is incredibly active with the media – ALL media – in promoting our cause. Each day I get at least three to four letters in which she takes reporters and editors to task for specific instances of bias and misrepresentation in their reporting. You are amazing Editor PUMA – your ripples in the pond are becoming waves. Can’t wait for the storm.
Murphy and MamaPUMA – you two humble me. You are steadfast, balanced, and focused. Thank you for allowing me to assist you in this worthy endeavor and for making me a part of your ‘family.’

I read this and I broke no rule:
Comments are moderated by CNN, in accordance with the CNN Comment Policy, and may not appear on this blog until they have been reviewed and deemed appropriate for posting. Also, due to the volume of comments we receive, not all comments will be posted.
That last line is how they are going to get away with this but I am going to take your advice #636 diva2 and let them know nothing but nasty rude and biased things got posted.

[[ COSMETA - thank you for that link - will give it a looksee - funny - you should mention it - I also dreamed about the same thing last night - unfortunately I did not research before I typed - and am now still going through the 29,000 links or so -]]
Then you and I are proof that subconscious minds are linked and that in any group effort sometimes the work is being done on another plane of existence. Way kool!
[[ A little hint to you as well regarding your site - I did it for my own business and have done it for customers that I was consulting - every day go into your site - click on it - open it up and then use the back button and do it as many times as you can a day - the spiders/robots look at that as honest traffic coming to you and you will see within a month you will go up to the first page and be one of the top 5 or more PROVIDING you have your home page with proper metatags ]]
Metatags are extrememely important. And this site is missing them, as well as missing a main root index page.
[[- - now again I am talking off the top of my head but I think it site is : http://www.scrubtheweb.com - where you can type in your URL and it will tell you what is wrong - for instance if your home page said Vacation Houseboats - and you do not have those words in your metatags will not put you on the top -]]
I used to use, Overture for that. Think Google may have that feature also. For the most part though, I use a program I purchased called, Dynamic Link Submission; and try to follow their guidelines. For example, a page will do well in the algorisms if it repeats its metatag with any page at lest 5 times. And that the Title, Description and Keywords should all use the same key words to be most effective.
[[ Will check out your site and get clicking - thats what I wanted to do for our site here - but I can find nothing that is just about us or Murphy’s interview - its the entire blog - and some of the things should not be seen - MHO -]]
Murphy needs some STATIC PAGES.
IMO
[[ Back to investigating if it takes me a year.

good night fellow PUMA’S. Tomorrow will be a day . Everyone have a safe night.
I have to wonder what’s in it for these media people to be so supportive of O.
Guess you’ve all heard that Ms. Clinton today officially came out against PUMA: “We oppose any effort that doesn’t support a Democratic victory in the fall, including PUMA.”
I’m not in the least bit affected by her statement. Nothing much about Ms. Clinton reflects my principles anymore.
However, regarding efforts to pay off her debt, which by the way I’m not an advocate for, I read some piece by a certain Tom Christopher (don’t know him, but he sounds like a twit reporter) saying that a spokesperson for the Clinton campaign claims they haven’t seen a cent from any PAC group.
Justsaynodeal.com says $10 milion was raised to pay off her debt; about 5 million is left.
However, according to the FEC, Clinton only raised $2.7 million in June, vs. $5.4 million in new spending.
A spokesperson for the Clinton campaign had this to say:
“As far as we know, that $10 million is a fallacy. We have not seen that money. It is our understanding that these groups provide links to our website, and there is no way to track which sites those donations come from. We have received no donations from the PAC.”
I take it the true numbers to what’s been raised will be announced on August 20. I hear most of the money raised took place between the fourth of July and now. That period has not been accounted for yet.
I’m getting curious again. If Ms. Clinton doesn’t want PUMA’s support then how can she then turn around and accept its money for her debt?
In my opinion Ms. Clinton is becoming an enigma. Dare I say, CRAZY?
Hello Pumas
I’ve been reading your posts and I’m impressed with the intelligence and judgment of our group. Our movement has moved beyond the two candidates Hillary and Obama. We are fighting for honesty and integrity in the political process.
Under no circumstances is *61 right for our country. His current tour is proof of that. Good grief, he had a fake press conference. No matter what Hillary states about Puma, I am fighting back against a corrupt nominee and party.
Need to get back to my special project.
Murphy, MarylandPuma, Firebelle, Maxgrader, TrishfromCanada and everyone else -Keep up the good work!
re#688 EWard..
well said my friend..your words are wise..

Oh No!!
She did??
Does anyone have a link?
re#687 maxgrader..
Hillary has a gun pointed at her head by the DNC…
O’Reilly on Fox right now …Wexler commnets then on to comments about Moveon He’s great “it looks like Moveon (Kos, et all) is the new klan…”
#331 LandiPUMA
It is kind of weird, because the letter that mention BO mas sent to an alternative e-mail.
(jeremy also received the same letter) .
The one you got I received it in my regular e-mail.
Any way, both are coming from HILLPAC.
So I answered and said I WILL NOT VOTE for obambi.
Then a Both Ways Barrack commercial aired. I’m falling off my chair lol….it’s good to finally see stuff like this finally happening….go PUMAS
O’Reilly is really laying into moveon.org and Wexler is the only Congressman who signed on with them.
Also, a Fox reporter tried asking more questions re: Moveon.org or the petition about bias with Fox. Wexler is a weasel. He lives in Maryland but because he uses the address in Florida that isn’t even his, he doesn’t pay state icome tax. O’Reilly said someone will get it if the Feds don’t get him first!!
re#694 cjv
“both ways barack”.. must have been a larry sinclair commercial
maxgrader on 07.23.08 at 7:48 pm
Max: Interesting, since I’ve had the news on since 5:00 EST and no one is reporting on that. Now you know, the minute the Clintons say anything, it’s all over the news. That would be news don’t you think.
Let’s look at it another way, shall we? It’s the future of the party. If we go ahead and fall in line, and Back Obama, knowing full well he is unqualified to be president, knowing full well what we know about him,we are sentencing ourselves and our party to losing the White House over and over in the future. It’s not just about this election. History lesson, Jimmy Carter. His administration was a disaster, as well meaning as he was, as qualified to assume the presidency as he was, and I do mean he was well meaning. He just didn’t have what it takes to be president. His economic plan was terrible; his ability to defend our country was a disaster, but in his defense, he was great diplomat and VERY good person. He worked hard in the area of international diplomacy. He’s was really more diplomat than president, and he loved our country, and us. Despite all that, the results of his administration cast serious doubts on the democrats and formed a very negative and undeserved image of our party, and people remember that, FOR YEARS. We’ve had great democratic presidents, but that seemed to get lost after the Carter Administration. We were seen as sof, weak on national security, a paper tiger. The US did not trust the democrats after that for 12 long years. Not until President Clinton stepped foward and regained the White House once again, and he was a GREAT PRESIDENT. After Carter, we had 2 terms of Reagan, and 4 years of Bush Sr. If we fall in line, and we put in another weak candidate, we are sentencing ourselves to another 12 or more years of Republicans in the White House, and distrust of our party. I can’t and won’t take that chance. You see, Senator Obama has Carter written all over him, and worse. Carter was qualified. HE was the successful Governor of Georgia. So lets say, we all fall in line, and vote for a candidate we don’t believe in. What will happen in the future? How long will it it take for the democrats once again, to live down the failed administration of Obama, and he will fail. We can’t let that happen. I am going to go with losing this one until a genuine presidential leader from our party steps forward. And let’s face it, we are getting off easy…there are a lot worse Republicans than McCain.
But…that is a scenario I will entertain only if Senator Clinton does not receive the nomination that she has earned.
Does that help you? I hope so. I wouldn’t want you to be unhappy with us.
#696 freepuma – I believe you are right. But the timing was perfect, right after the OReilly’s rant on MoveOn.
Some joker named pumapounder has been desperately trying to get in to our forum. I kinda feel bad for the guy. He seems so desperate. So, here’s one of his comments — he’s a wonderful manifestation of the Obama Movement.
“You cows need to get on board or take the risk of being left behind. This is a chance to not just win in November but to completely destroy the Facist bastards on the right. We don’t need checks and balances with these rednecks who should (and might be) jailed, we need to make the decisions that will…
Finally rid us of guns,
No restrictions to womens right to choose,
Universal health care,
Reparations to people of color,
Fairness Doctraine,
Hate laws,
We will be completely unopposed to right the evils of this piece of S*** we call a democracy and you horses asses are going to f***ing ruin it.”
Are you all referring to that letter where she mentions Obama and for us to support him? Or is there another one. The one I got certainly wasn’t you vote or else. It was a mere mention. Of course she is going to say that..she said she would back the democratic nominee. Someone fill me in, okay? But Max up there is listing all kinds of “stuff”. So if anyone has heard anything – please post.
#699 Murphy
Well now. That’s one vile little troll.
Guess he looked at your ‘nice’ pics at the top of the page when he referred to us as cows.
#699 Murphy
And the statement about no need for ‘checks and balances’ betrays something here. I’m thinking ‘civilian national security guard’ against unarmed citizens.
Guess the troll thinks it’s immune to being thrown under the bus. Wish it had an original thought.
#687 Maxgrader
Nice to read your post. Hope you don’t mind if I add a little more perspective to your thoughts? : )
I guess I view it like this re: Senator Clinton:
1. In her statement “We oppose any effort that doesn’t support a Democratic victory in the fall, including PUMA,” she did not say an Obama victory. She is protecting her Denver opportunity.
2. She has not given up her delegates and to me, this says alot.
3. She is playing smart politics. As long as she “goes along” with the Obama “game” then she keeps things as smooth as possible until Denver. I really find it hard to believe that she would not accept the nomination if she got it. Alot of delegates are changing their vote in favor of her and there is still several weeks left.
4. The longer she can keep her debt numbers quiet, the more leverage she has with *61 and his supporters UNTIL then.
Keep believing and if you think about it, Senator Clinton learned alot about *61 politics and I am sure she is adapting until Denver. I believe in her.
Was on Cnn Blog just now lots of oblama supporters there with there usual spin. So I left them this little lesson. Can’t wait to hear there rants. HEHEHE
WHOW Can’t believe all the Crying from The oblama supporters. Well lets see
Puma is nithing to worry about, not news, just a bunch of old racist white ladies.
The RULES R THE RULES ect…..
Lets set the record straight. One of the reasons that PUMA exist is the BREAKING of THE RULES. Maybe you OBlama IDIOTS should READ THE RULES. If you did you would find out the following. According to the Rules both Florida an Michigan Voilated the Delegate Selection Process. The Punishment for this Infraction is a 50% reduction in Delegates. With me so far. So Who decided to go Against the Rules and Strip them of 100% of there Delegates. Answer The DNC (Coward Dean, Donna Brazilla an the rest of the ELITES)
Also According to the Rules N. Hampshire,S. Carolina, And Iowa Voilated the same RULE. So Who decided to not level ANY INFRACTION on These States. None No Penalty at all. Answer The DNC
There’s more too. According to the RULES No Candidate can Obtain be Given or Awarded Delegates. Not EARNED THROUGH the Ballot Box. So who Decided to Break the RULES and Award Oblama Delegates in Michigan Not Earned Through the Ballot Box. Answer The DNC Rules Committee ( Headed by D. Brazilla)
Just One more for you. According to the RULES. The Rules Committee Meeting IS TO BE IN FULL PUBLIC VIEW. So Who Decided to Break the RULES and Hold Most of the Meeting Behind Closed Doors. OUT OF THE FULL VIEW OF THE PUBLIC. Answer The DNC Rules Committee Headed by (D. Brazilla)
So before you Oblama Morons continue blabbing about the RULES READ THEM FIRST. THE DNC VIOLATED ALL OF THESE RULES IN THE FAVOR OF THE OBLAMA. WE PUMAS WOULD LIKE NOTHING MORE THAN TO GO BY THE RULES. BECAUSE WITH THEM THE OBLAMA LOSES. ONLY BY BREAKING THEM AN MANY LONG STANDING TRADITIONS DID HE GET SELECTED.
So we PUMAS will use our CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO VOTE FOR SOMEONE ELSE. FOR ME IT’S EITHER HILLARY OR IT’S JOHN McCAIN Never NOBAMA.
Ahhhhhhhhhhh! I want to smash O’Reilly. He is now in the tank for Barack. He said Barack didn’t bring up race. What was that “and by the way he’s black” comment about? Duh!! Race!!! O’Reilly now compared him to JFK – EWWW!!! – and tried to weasel Morris out of attacking Obama. I have lost 50 percent of my respect for O’Reilly. If he keeps defending Obama, I will lose the rest.

What the hell is going on?! “I’m afraid, I’m very afraid!”
I think this is bigger and more treacherous than we thought. God help us, PLEASE!
Daily Growl mission accomplished!
#689 freepuma
Thank you for your comments.
Puma Alert
NoQuarter has a video of Don Fowler talking about the super delegates aka automatic delegates. He also said something else that caught my attention.
A BAD CONVENTION CAN LOSE AN ELECTION!
For our Denver Group, let’s defeat *61!
Many of the Theologians and Bible Scholars predict 2012 will be the end of the world as we know it. I’m starting to believe them.
Just stand strong and think positive we will prevail. I loved the interview with Will. It was so cool i had to hear it twice….Tried on my PUMA shirts that came today and they fit fine just a little to tight around my uhumms since i’m top heavy lol but 10 more pounds should do it. Come on Denver and Senator Clinton.
#709 i certainly don’t think so. I never listen to that nonsense
MSNBC reported that 55% of the public consider electing Obama risky while only 35% say that of McCain.
All we have to do is keep Noname out of the WhiteHouse and things will be ok.Just remember if we can’t get our girl in then to keep him out we have to vote Mccain. Hold your nose you can do it.
No need to panic. Another thing if 85% of us can make it to the Convention it says millions to those watching. Then we realy do scare Noname and the DNC.
Allways through out time it’s the squeeky wheel that gets oiled. Noname has been doing that all along. Making sure he is constantly on the news and now with this trip in a non American airplane. So if we never stop making noise and get as loud as he does and Growwll louder we can make volumes
Here’s my answer to Hillary (what matters most):
In 3 “words”: Hillary 44th POTUS
How can ANYONE believe that BO stands for Democracy? His words and actions daily betray the principles upon which our country was founded.
How can you ask me to willingly participate in the destruction of our country and of our way of life? Are you aware that US citizens lose freedoms with each passing day under his iron fisted campaign?
BO has set our country back decades in race relations and women’s rights.
We yell, yet our words fall on deaf ears.
We vote, yet our votes are overturned.
We speak, yet we are labeled as traitors, threatened, accosted, and called vile names.
I will not willingly assist in the installation of this dictator as POTUS. I choose country before Party.
You said you would fight for me. I now call upon you to honor your promise to me.
This is what matters to me most. Everything else pales in comparison.

[[ This is becoming way annoying I type a message hit enter and it takes me away - and doesn’t post - ]]
I had problems earlier too and just gave up. In the morning my post wouldnt send, but then when I tried a few hours later, prompt said, you are posting too fast. duh! I can only conclude heavy traffic and/or too many crawlers at the same time.
[[ SO IMPRESSED WITH YOUR WEBSITE COSMETA - I signed up and hope others from Pumapac do the same - it is clean, user friendly and concise - I LOVE IT -
Proud of you - ]]
Thank you. My site is a spiritual site, but I do have a political section… and if there was interest, … well, I’ve been in contact with my programmer asking him if he could just isolate that section so I could put it on a separate web site… But I am not going to spend the money on another site if there is no interest.
But… right now, I use it when i do research… that’s how it so easy for me to post here… I take stuff from my own site and paste it here. Also, I truly think a forum can help PUMA to store stuff for easy access. Not only for posted messages but so we can contact one another. Ah well…
BTW, I sent you a Private Message from my site… hope you get it because I just moved hosting companies… so hope my email is working by now.
Thanks again.
