Welcome all you new members! Join Puma PAC HERE!

EARLY MORNING PROWL! FAX THE FOLLOWING TO THE DNC AND THE OBAMA CAMPAIGN. JUST COPY, PASTE, PRINT AND FAX TO:
DNC, Chairman Dean: 202-863-8174
Senator Obama: (202) 228-4260
Dear Chairman Dean and Senator Obama,
As a loyal democrat I am writing to let you know that I am appalled by your decision to move Senator Obama’s acceptance speech to a football stadium in Denver. During this primary campaign season you have made a spectacle of the Democratic values of our country, and now you intend to make a spectacle of the Democratic Party itself, further demeaning yourselves and, by extension, the many millions of Americans who have been proud to call themselves Democrats, until now.
DEMOCRACY IS NOT A SPECTATOR SPORT! IT IS THE UNITED EFFORT OF MILLIONS OF PARTICIPATORY CITIZENS.
Your decision to move this event to a forum that undemocratically aggrandizes and feeds the unwarranted hero-worship of one man is a grave error. Tens of millions of Americans are watching this ridiculous drama unfold with skepticism and dismay.
As you continue down your path of eventual irrelevancy, please remember that the millions of Americans you need to vote for your candidate in November are COMMITTED to rejecting your Selection.
As a member of Puma PAC, I will NOT vote for Senator Obama in November.
I want a Democratic President in the White House, not an American Idol contender.
Sincerely,
D. Murphy
Middlesex County, Massachusetts
Puma PAC Member and Democrat
p.s. Since it seems the only reason you ever contact voters like me is to ask me for money, I’d also like to add that as a member of Puma PAC, I will NOT donate any money to the DNC or any DNC-related group between now and November.
FAX this letter as soon as you can to both numbers above, then come back and tell us in comments that you did.
This is an Early Morning Prowl. Make sure your printers have ink, your faxes have paper, and your phone-dialing fingers are nimble this week Pumas — we have a BIG week ahead!

HA I got first!
Murphy, It’s a great letter. Shouldn’t folks be deleting your name, however, and typing in their own at the end. Otherwise, it doesn’t make sense for me to send a letter to someone that’s from you.
Lol maryland I got third.
Anna7000
Yes indeed, What I do is copy paste it in WORD and tthen you can type your name, and location.
jesus h christ on a ham sandwich marylandpuma, are you still awake??
yes, anna7000 that is correct — sorry about that.
looks like you figured out the “take it upstairs” convention pretty quickly!
Excellent letter Murphy, will fax it tomorrow!
Isn’t he smug.
#834 alohapuma
Yes I knew they weren’t your words. ^.^; I’m sorry I meant to mention in there that it was more of a response to the person who said that than a response to what you said. My apologies for the confusion
Good letter! See you tomorrow.
Don’t mean to be a pest but if ontherocks shows up several of us need proof of the tax post you made. I’ve already used it in a debate.
please pardon the profanity –esp following a post containing a biblical quote, but dear lord MP if I have to keep up with you I’ll be running the minivan into a ditch tomorrow from exhaustion!
Beautiful letter Murphy. I haven’t responded to BHO’s email regarding the move yet but I will be soon and be sure to post it here. Again, very wonderfully put Murphy!
What about those of us who don’t have a fax machine?? Usually you post the snail mail/email addresses too. I’d get them from the action center, but it is still not up.

No worries. I just keep thinking about how these people are going to react if The Chosen One…isn’t…
They’ll make our “sour grapes” look like Welches. They’ll scream like banchees.
Great letter, Murphy.
Where is everyone?
I am getting really worried about the polls, why is BO still ahead? Whats going on? Why hasn’t McCain done anything, I have not seen any ads, flyers, nothing. BO can’t win.
Posted this downstairs - hope it sparks a flame!
Good evening, everyone! WOW! I’m really tired and it took me a long time to read through this blog but here’s my .44 cents worth:
Great thoughts on the blog today -
Strategic “stealth bomber” tactics - organizing all of us to react quickly and in focus to state our case on certain issues and to ensure that our voices fall on the right ears.
Excellent idea! Instead of blanket emails, let’s target them individually for more impact!
Disturbing thoughts from http://www.hillaryis44.org - some people say that the real power behind BO is explained at this site. Forget corrupt Chicago politics - this thing is global. If you read the press release posted there about the Open Society’s Initiatives, you can hear the echo of some words spoken by both Dean and BO.
http://www.soros.org/initiatives/usprograms.
Disturbing news about BO planning to “accept” his coronation at the Invesco stadium in Denver on the last day of the convention. Actually moving all of Thursday’s activities to the stadium where 76,000 of his goons will put pressure on the delegates and super delegates to give them their king. For those of you going to Denver, be sure to practice up on civil disobedience and peaceful protests.
And now, the compelling reason that I am writing this instead of sleeping -
Hillary needs to make her move NOW!
If you think that this convention will be conducted with ANY semblance of fairness or order, I think you are fooling yourself. They may very well block Hillary from the floor. I think that she needs to stack the cards in her favor by going into the convention with a stated purpose of winning the nomination! She needs media attention! She needs to hear the roaring thunder of 18 million voices all the way to Denver! WE NEED to hear those voices ourselves so that no one feels intimidated, knocked down, or threatened into silencing their vote!
WE NEED A VOICE TO LEAD US IN THIS CAMPAIGN AGAINST TYRANNY AND THAT VOICE IS HILLARY’S!
We need to blog it, put it in the media, contact persons within her closest circle - maybe we need an action like the “thank you”cards to flood her office and encourage her to take a step NOW!
pa dem #12, that’s why maryland puma is still awake — to help cover my tracks! mp ??
I don’t know if any of you have heard, this is my first time checking in today, but over on Hire Heels they’re saying Dean and Obama are giving HRC ’til the fifteenth to pay off her debt or she won’t have a place at the convention.
Supposedly, she raised enough money over the weekend to scare them and they’re saying she’s draining donations from the DNC.
So, not only does she need more money, h*ll needs to be raised about this artificial deadline.
If this is old news, I apologize.
goandersen are you here?

I just received this, kind of funny
AS OF NOW, OBAMA WOULD LOSE! -
- by Lyndon H. LaRouche, Jr. -
July 1, 2008
Unless there is an early and sudden end to the change in recent direction of his wildly shifting campaign postures, London-steered Senator Obama is destined to lose his effort to win the November U.S. Presidential election. His double-crossing of the core of those many Democrats who had supported his earlier campaign for the Democratic nomination, especially in his recent, open turn to radically right- wing, London-steered allegiances and campaign postures, has the hall-marks of a man who has been pre-programmed for political self-destruction by, chiefly, his own hand.
At this time, he should fear no adversary more deadly than himself. It is time to change the baby; either he changes his own diapers, so to speak, or the stench from the diapers will change his candidacy.
The root of the problem is, that Obama, like most of the current pre-election campaigning to date, has been controlled, like the present leaderships of the U.S. Congress, from imperial London, with the principal control exerted, so far, by the Fabian gang associated with the late Tony Blair and Brown on whom Blair dumped the occupation of Blair’s own dirtied political diapers. Now, with the faltering of what had seemed to be the careening juggernaut of the fascist Lisbon Treaty package, and with the greatest financial crisis in all modern history now in a new, more awfully advanced phase of coming down on the world as a whole, the only way the Fabian fascists’ scheme could prevail in the way they have intended would be something like a massive air attack on Iran, by surrogates acting for the current Bush Administration.
This is not to say that McCain could not blow his chances. What is certain among the uncertainties of today, is that most things are about to change radically. The choice of change which will occur, remains uncertain, except that those who are the wrongest among us all, are those who refuse to accept the fact that that, the kind of change which they refuse to expect, whatever that might prove to be, is the only certainty in the world’s present situation.
Will somebody please tell me if Senator Clinton has any chance of being the Democratic nominee? I’ve been battling a crisis if faith all day long (made the mistake of watching network news).
Anyone?
Wow! That’s a letter I can sink my teeth into. I will definitely be sending that!
#16 ah, ok.
How long do we anticipate having no action site?
I really have to start doing something. This election thing is really bothering me. Where is McCain? Where is Karl Rove? Are they saving the campaigning til after the convention?
jesus h christ on a ham sandwich murphy, are you still awake?
Hey, just cause I’m quiet doesn’t mean I’m not working. LOL I was finishing up a flyer for the NYC breakfast on Thursday. It’s in your inbox.
And what tracks are those I’m covering…..besides the ones that lead to the ditch?
#14 matt2008A
It’s like I said yesterday. (I think?
I don’t even remember when i said it. How sad) McCain doesn’t want to risk the Democrats putting Hillary up as their nominee. He knows HE CAN’T WIN against her.
Maryland PUMA, do you have the logo in high res pdf or eps file?
geez… talk about synchronicity.
20 ElyLos Angeles: Thank you for that serendipitous post… even if it is by by Lyndon H. LaRouche.
I’ll take it from where I can gets it.
#14 matt2008A
I share your sentiments. I am very worried about the polls. He has been called the “teflon guy.” For some reason, nothing sticks to this guy. Jeremiah Wright, all the flip flops, and he is still ahead and seems to keep pulling away.
matt #14 — our brilliant jeremy made an excellent point last night about McCain’s strategy. Basically, it’s to keep his powder dry.
we should take mcCain’s relative silence as a GOOD sign. The Repbubs know that this race is STILL up in the air. ask your uncle.
We dont endorse, support, or encourage people to vote for McCain, but we know he’s a DAMN smart politician.
#21 DancesWithPumas on 07.08.08 at 12:20 am
I’m going to be really honest, so do not attack please.
I think she has a very small chance. BO will have to have a Dean moment or explode or something. We need to work on defeating BO in the general election so that Hillary can come back in 2012.
#21 DancesWithPumas
Never lose faith! BHO pretty much has to keep doing what he’s doing, and another pastor disaster wouldn’t hurt things (For us anyway) and the Democrats would be more foolish than they are now to continue supporting him.
15 diamond girl
I’m not sure about Hillary’s timing. I think her major donors not stepping up to Obama’s plate says something.
She really can’t (in my opinion) do much without that debt being paid. It might be paid already…we don’t know that yet. I suspect it’s been retired or mostly retired and they aren’t releasing that information for some reason.
A lot of ducks would have to be in place for Hillary to step back into this. She’s no fool and she has a long-term vision, so we can believe she is weighing that all very carefully.
#24 matt2008A RE: WHERE’S MC CAIN
I’ve had the same concerns. He seems to have lost his fight. I can only hope that he and the GOP are waiting until after the convention to bring out their ruthless political machine. But I am concerned. McCain’s been very lackluster. Then again, it’s hard to know how much is McCain being tepid and passive and how much the press is doing to him what they did to Hillary, which is to make him irrelevant. I read headlines every single day about Obama, down the most minute things. Yet, read very little about McCain, and when I do, it’s usually negative coverage.
E-mail his campaign and express your concerns. (If you haven’t been to his web site, beware, it’s a jumbled mess. Very confusing. Not user friendly. Looks like someone not of the internet age trying to design something that seems cool, with images everywhere, horizontally moving blocks, vertically scrolling text, etc. Ugh)
#21 DancesWithPumas
Of course!!!! She had a chance to be de democratic nominee. But we have to work hard to spread the voice to all.
Remember that even a the last moment the SDs can change their votes.
Trish - yep. Gimme a minute and I’ll send.
#31 murphy on 07.08.08 at 12:22 am
Thanks Murphy & drgav & Inu
I need to stay positive. The only thing that makes BO teflon is the media, w/o the media, he’s like every other person. However if you look at his demographics after Wright, he really began to suffer, which is why Hillary won the popular vote
Great letter, Murphy. I only wish he were an American Idol contender. At least on AI the number of votes count for something.
#37 Maryland PUMA
Thank you
#12 Padem. Kinkos has a fax service and Im sure other supply store will. Thats what i do when my fax goes on the blink which is often.
#14 Matt2008A. Not to worry. I believe Kerri was ahead by more at this time as was Gore and Dukakis.
And they were better candidates then “o’.
Remember after all the money spent, the amazing bias in the media, the low approval of Bush, the economy, the war in Iraq, “O” has never got past 48% in the general election polls.
He has received no bump from HRC endorsing him and the GOP hasn’t even started yet.
Finally, he has PUMAS stalking him. (politically speaking that is.)
He has peaked and will only go down.
#34 alohapuma
“I suspect it’s been retired or mostly retired and they aren’t releasing that information for some reason.”
I suspect that if they aren’t releasing the information, it’s because it has been paid off and it was done so by overwhelming numbers and the DNC doesn’t want to show just how strong her support still is. But that’s just pure speculation on my part.
#21 danceswith pumas
Yes - since you said “any” chance I have to say yes. How strong of a chance remains to be seen.

mp #26 — give pa dem the snail mail and email addies for Dean and the Obama campaigns.
drgav#30 — dont fret! look at kerry’s poll numbers at this point in 2004!
If Obama were a sure thing, his lead would be BIG right now. he’s within the margin of error for every respectable poll, and that’s with McCain holding fire.
PATIENCE, focus, and action are our watchwords.
#36 ElyLos Angeles
Also remember that BHO is only the PRESUMPTIVE nominee until his name is put on the floor at the convention and he gets enough votes. My mom keeps reminding me that if he doesn’t get enough votes the first time around, everything gets thrown out and the delegates and super delegates can vote however they choose to.
when your pacific time it’s hard to be on in the early morning
TO: MATT
First, I don’t think anyone should feel they need to start their post with a disclaimer about anyone getting mad. We’re all adults and should feel very comfortable putting our ideas out there, knowing some won’t sit well with some folks.
That said, I think you’re very wise in what you say. I think it’s crucial to stay focused in reality. I still hold out hope for a miracle, but in my heart I know it’s unlikely. Obama’s doing great, no doubt about it. But who knows what will happen between now and the convention, so we all keep working. And, after the convention, we’ll refocus, as needed.
By the way, are you the person who commented a day or two ago that you’re young and that you like Starbucks, cause if you are, just thought you should know I read in the paper last week that Starbucks is closing about 600 of it’s cafes. I hope none near you!
I like this theme of Obama’s arrogance. Even his supporters admit he has a huge ego. Let’s go with it.
Obama will get some Hillary-dollars from me tomorrow. I love that quietly confident smile of hers on the money. For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, see the Action Center … oh dear, I just realized it’s down (temporarily, I assume). Well, look on the Action Center tomorrow.
Thanks y’all.

TRUE STORY from today
Stopped to get gas ($4.35 / gallon, anyone?) & a man from India was pumping gas. He must have looked at my bumber stickers (”Honor the Dead, Heal the Wounded, End the War”) (”Hillary Clinton 2008″). So he says kind of worried, “aren’t you going to vote for Obama?”
I told him no, he says why not? I said “well, because I don’t think he’s qualified, I just don’t think he has enough experience.”
He says “but Obama is going to be the nominee, aren’t you going to vote Democrat?” I said “Yes, I’m voting for Hillary Clinton” he says “you are?” kind of incredulous. I said “Yes, she’s going to get the nomination in Denver,” and suddenly his whole face brightened & he smiled. “You really think so?” I said “yes you just wait and see,” and drove off feeling very, very good.
Aint it nice to exchange pleasantries with a strangere?!!
And with that I am out for a walk w/my 17-year old before she starts calling ME a stranger!

Keep the faith. We can only do what we can do. We’ll all stay focused and then history will unfold. No matter what, we will survive. Obviously, we want to write history in such a way that we feel it should go down. Whether our efforts bear fruit remains to be seen. Let’s all commit to taking action every single day, be it letter writing to SD’s, DNC, media, planning to go to Denver, helping Murphy with tasks she needs done, etc. Time is of the essence. The days are counting down. Let’s stay focused on the convention as our immediate goal. In the end, we’ll know we did all we could do. And, hopefully, itwill prove to have been enough to change the course of things. Either way, you can never go wrong to follow your heart, trust your instincts and do what you feel is right.

I believe Jeremiah Wright did some pretty good damage to *61. In fact I believe “The Reverend” has done more damage to Obamby than Bush has done to McCain considering his unpopularity, don’t you think? Had the undemocratic party allowed the process to play out the way it was supposed to and had the fraudulent superdelegates done their job at throwing their support behind the stonger candidate (Hillary), she would be way ahead in the polls by now, something that no name has not been able to do. He never really got a significant lead against Senator McCain in the polls after Hillary suspended her campaign like it’s supposed to happen.

I have an idea. Probably already been presented but I will go ahead anyway.

Thanks for the reassurance Murphy! I did not pay much attention to the 2004 elections — Kerry did not excite me as much as Hillary did (and continues to do so). The media has covered his back at every step. The power of innuendo and suggestion forwarded by the media can not be under-estimated. The challenge is when a thought or believe becomes deeply impressed, it’s hard to change.
I think we have all been a bit “sucker punched” by the media and the cyber-bullies who systematically contaminated the public opinion regarding Hillary. A big part of our job is to (re) establish a public personna that is reflective of who she is.
Hillary is a National Treasure. If you step back and examine this with any objectivity, we are FOOLS not to put this woman in the White House. She has tremendous strength of character and tenacity and intelligence and experience and the long-term perspective of a President.
35 military generals, etc endorsed her! Those endorsement were hard-won. Think about what it took for a woman to earn those endorsements.
She is a nuts and bolts consensus builder who has relationships abroad and the vision to stimulate the middle class. We are missing out on an historic opportunity to get back on the right road.
OK…that was a campaign speech.

I kind of agree with you in that 1) it is Hillary’s call and 2) she needs to end her suspension prior to the Denver Convention. But I don’t think that can happen unless there is a massive move of superdelegates back to her. And for that to happen it would have to be something BIG to knock BHO off his pedestal. If she makes a move before that outcry happens she will be seen as a Party spoiler and not a uniter. So she NEEDS a reason for SuperDelegates and us to UNITE her to the Party’s goals to win in the fall.
If something is going to happen, it will have to happen around the first week in August. Then, the donors would flood to her again.
It’s a slippery slope to climb.

Murphy, I wish you had elicited comments to your letter before advising us to forward this to the DNC. Regardless of whether P.U.M.A. numbers exceed some artificial level that others consider makes us a formidable opponent; or whether we effected the polls evidencing declining endorsements for Senator Obama from Senator Clinton’s supporters; it is clear that everything we do is being scrutinized. Just as fellow P.U.M.A.’s regularly entreat us on the blogs to elevate the tone of our postings, I propose we take appropriate steps to elevate both the style and the substance of our correspondence to ‘outsiders,’ too.

Hi Puma Pals,
I have faxed this letter (with my name, county and state) to both Dean & Obama.
No problem with the Obama number but I got a “communication error” for the DNC number (202-863-8174). So I did a web search and found this other fax number which worked fine for me: (202) 863-8063
I had received an email from the DNC/Plouffe this morning announcing this “event” and immediately replied in disgust:
“He has NOT won the nomination yet. Wow, his arrogance is astounding.”

LOL! Feel better??
I had a friend call me early this morning and she said she and her hubby were for Hillary all the way and they went and voted in Indiana. She said his camp did all kinds of cheating and mocking people shamelessly who were for Hillary
goandersen, Hire Heels and the Confluence. Check the comments on the latest blogs.
Does anyone else think the AOL polls are weird? It’s pretty much all red in the straw poll, and every other spot where it asks “who will you vote for”, but when it asks “who do you think will win”, Obama is named. Are the voters really that defeatist?
Just goes to show that based on how the question is phrased, answers can change drastically.
I just thought of something really funny.
You know how they always say, that the ordinary person needs to get involved in their government more… and/or how we never contact our representatives bla bla…
Well—It kind of makes you wonder why so many of them are blocking our emails or telling us not to call. LOL
That’s really funny to me. Even funnier is how in the world will the ordinary person ever get to lobby anyone under a BHO administration when he said NO to that… And all the idiots cheered, yeah BRO go!
too funny!
They have no idea!

She gave Hillary flowers at her last rally here the night before the primary
sandipuma: That’s an amazing story.

[[ Will somebody please tell me if Senator Clinton has any chance of being the Democratic nominee? ]]
YES, YES, SHE DOES!
Except for BHO’s money, the DNC’s let’s be unified and media spin; BHO IS STILL THE PPESUMPTIVE NOMINEE and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Many before have gone into the convention with much more of a delegate spread than Hillary and gotten the nomination.
Remember she is only down some 272 delegate points and that number can change on a dime.
Time may not be on her side…. but BHO’s big mouth IS.

Just curious. What was it that you found objectionable in murphy’s letter to the DNC?
Oh and Fred, beautiful work on the poster! Thank you for your hard work and dedication!
Try to get to bed early, rarely succeed. My thoughts today centered on the fear game. We were told that there would be rioting in the streets if BHO didn’t get the nomination. I admit to believing it.
Then I thought about us Pumas, and how civilized we are. When Hillary suspended her campaign, we Pumas didn’t riot nor did we try other negative ways to get revenge. Also, we are not trying to get even. We are trying to win, which will be achieving our PAC goals. Our founding fathers would be supportive. Many of our voices are as patriotic and glorious as our forefathers’.
Goodnight Murphy and all you wonderful people. Let’s hit the ground running tomorrow !!

Dances with Puma.. I took a chance to email Hillary’s photographer - she follows Hillary everywhere during the primaries. I was trying to get her on this blog since I had her emai. She said she would check it out. I will ask her your question - sometimes we doubt ourselves, especially when we start watching CNN. I remember during Hillarys small fund raiser in May,she told us not to watch cable news because we would tear our hair out.
Just keep focus, steadfast and strong. She did it for us.
If nothing else, we have to show Hillary, we have not left her behind.

Thanks for the compliments - all to my husband. making the poster was the easy part. The not so easy part is the sleuth distribution of it - I am looking forward to challenge myself so see what I can do. I know there is no point challenging the Obama followers or confronting them - it is just a lost cause because they are fanatically close minded. Energy is better spent convincing the many folks that are unsure or going with him because they thought they had no choice.
P/S: I heard from Murphy that the response from folks wanting to distribute the poster was OVERWHELMING. It is so so so touching to see many willing to distribute it.
Off for my own purr-ful dreams…I hope…perhaps of romance..oh my!
I just got an email saying the following:
Even if BHO gets the “coronation” she MUST be on the ballot for the recording of history. History being that we (the USA) had the first viable female candidate run for President.
Can someone please explain to me why this is so hard other than BHO and DNC is afraid she can actually get the nomination??
When did we become Cuba???
Was it not Abraham Lincoln who was THIRD on a roll call and got the nomination?!?!?!
Goodnight everyone.
May you have purrrfect dreams

Clinton aide Wolfson joins Fox News pack
Tue Jul 8, 2008 5:04am IST Email | Print | Share| Single Page[-] Text [+] By Paul J. Gough
NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - Howard Wolfson, one of Hillary Clinton’s senior campaign advisers, will join Fox News Channel as a contributor.
The channel is expected to make the announcement Tuesday, and Wolfson is scheduled to make his first appearance on air Wednesday.
Wolfson, a longtime political consultant, has worked as communications director for Clinton’s New York election campaigns. He had a similar role in her presidential campaign but was promoted to co-chief strategist this year.
“He’s got an insider’s knowledge of how campaigns work and sometimes don’t work,” said John Moody, executive vp news editorial at Fox News. Wolfson couldn’t be reached for comment.
Wolfson is one of a number of high-profile political figures the channel has hired in recent months for its election programming, including Karl Rove, former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee and Clinton adviser Lanny Davis.
“We really think we’ve got the chess board covered,” Moody said.

That would be fair and balanced. The more I look at that stadium the more I feel sorry for the good people of Denver. What a memory they will have to live with for the rest of their lives. What a shame.
they are basically across from each other. one on each side of interstate. there is one called north and one south
I want to say the one closest to the lake. The person I’m sharing a room with made the reservation and has the exact address.

Wouldn’t it be great if only a couple thousand people showed up at the stadium?

I read that “Free” means a small donation at the door.
I challenge you PUMAs to do some research regarding the stadium and making a new place for their team…Not Barack or the Democrats. DWP that area is mostly commercial and some apartments. it’s on a frontage road and basically not a bad area. I lived in an apartment just up the hill several years ago. my best friend goes to the village inn (Ithink that’s what it is) to eat quite often. It’s close to downtown but far enough away to be out of the worst if things turn bad. i’ll go by both tomorrow and get more info for you. what’s around each, close eating, etc.
#24 matt2008A…
My guess is, knowing of BHO’s money and his ability to outspend them in campaign advertising, they are going to wait for the big push when it is most damaging.
Right now, I truly believe to a large extend they are leaving it up to a) BHO to shoot himself in the foot, (or should I say mouth) and b) they are sitting back and allowing us to do their dirty work for them.
Either way they have to be laughing their heads off at Howard Dean’s bluner and his DNC.
Karl Rove is on FoxNews a lot…
But I forget which nightly show(s)
I understand what your saying Jeremy.

#155 Marie Follow the Money Alert for *61
Wow, the information that comes out about *61’s Internet Donations. The article that Marie posted from Maureen Dowd states that a large part of his donations were tracked from internet service providers from Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iran, and others. Also, other groups were donating concentrated sums from China.
This is huge. Follow *61’s Internet money.”
EWard…if you want to get really scared check out Senate bill #2433. It has already passed the House. I don’t think they knew what they were passing. It’s now in the Senate. If it passes we will be responsible for sending 845 BILLION ADDITIONAL DOLLARS to 3rd world countries over the next few years. NO CHOICE! We would also be forced to accept some UN provisions and treaties which would basically say bye bye to our bill of rights. Now tell me this guy isn’t scary. Can’t show up to vote and help the people in our country, but has the time to prepare and sponsor a bill to basically ruin us and all we stand for while taking away our rights and helping foreign countries.

DWP parking is going to be very limited. There is a main parking lot for the pepsi center but I’m guessing that will all be blocked off. All the surrounding lots are for the University which is across the street. My guess is they will use invesco lot and some others (not sure what???) and then use a shuttle system to move people.
BHO and his campaign put out a report prior to Hillary suspension, that within two weeks they expected a 10-15% bump.
That has not happened yet.
- He’s had Gore’s endorsement and it did not happen.
- He’s had Hillary’s endoresement and it has not happened yet.
- He’s had Hillary’s supporters and it has not happened yet.

Mile High Stadium
Located in Denver, Mile High Stadium was home to many great Bronco teams and players over its 40 year existence.
Its history goes back to 1948, when private funds were used to build a stadium for the Denver Bears (baseball) and the local football team. A hill at 19th and Clay Street was used to build a ballpark on. Built of mainly bleachers, the ballpark was originally known as Bears Stadium.
By the time Denver’s football team became part of the AFL, the capacity of Bears Stadium, 17,000, was to small. In order to satisfy the Broncos, the capacity of Bears Stadium was increased to nearly 34,000.
The Denver Broncos played their first game at the stadium on September 9, 1960. Over its 40 year history, Mile High Stadium underwent many additions. By the mid 1960s city leaders wanted to build a new football/baseball stadium; but voters turned down a bond issue to build a new stadium.
However, a civic group raised $1.8 million to buy the stadium. It presented the sports complex to the city in February 1968. Built in time for the start of the 1968 season, a 16,000-seat upper deck was constructed over the west stands, raising the stadium’s capacity to more than 50,000. After the 1968 season Bears Stadium was renamed Mile High Stadium. An expansion between 1975 and 1977 raised the seating capacity to more than 75,000. It featured an ingenious, 9 million-pound east stands that could be moved back and forth on a track of water, close in for football and further back for baseball. In 1986, luxury suites were added atop the upper deck.
With a capacity of just over 80,000, Mile High Stadium was one of the largest stadiums in the NFL. Three tiers of stands in a horseshoe shape made up Mile High Stadium. The main scoreboard was located above one level of bleachers on the south side of the stadium. Mile High Stadium was also one of the loudest stadiums with its steel grandstands instead of concrete.
Mile High Stadium was home to many great teams and players during its existence. It was home to the Denver Broncos and many baseball teams. In 1993, the Colorado Rockies (MLB) played the first ever Major League Baseball game at Mile High Stadium. The Rockies played two years at Mile High Stadium before moving into their own ballpark, Coors Field. By the mid 1990’s, owner of the Broncos, Pat Bowlen wanted a new stadium for his team. In 1998, voters approved a bond to build a new stadium for the Broncos.
Constructed adjacent to Mile High Stadium, fans could watch as the new stadium rose. The Broncos played their last game at Mile High Stadium on December 23, 2000.
The following year the team moved into Invesco Field at Mile High. Mile High Stadium was demolished after the 2001 NFL season. It serves as a parking lot for the new stadium.

There is nothing wrong with Michelle Robinson Obama’s Princeton paper. Indeed, its conclusion may well be that the effect of attended a “White” institution like Princeton and experiencing a relationship with “Whites” is more likely to end up with a rejection or diminution of affinity for Blacks.
What is obvious in reading her paper is that Michelle Obama was uncomfortable with the potential of ending up outside her culture, and that she had an affinity for those who believed, as did Stokely Carmichael as quoted in Michelle Obama’s paper:
The concept of Black Power rests on the fundamental premise: Before a group can enter the open society, it must close ranks. By this we mean that group solidarity is necessary before a group can operate effectively from a bargaining position of strength in a pluralistic society.”

texassherry: re-your comment on Hillary & Edwards, let’s hope & pray they end up on the Ballot, it’s really still all very possible.
I still like Edwards a lot as a VP choice “in spite of” what happened..!
EWard…here’s a start for you. Notice he introduced it to Senate just before he decided to seriously run. Sure hasn’t been around to answer questions! If you check status it is scheduled for debate and has been since April. Is he waiting for something? Also interesting (and scary) is that he is on the Senate Homeland Security committe with Lieberman. Seems to be some kind of committee that controls a portion of the govt. I haven’t been able to figure it out exactly.

I am going to make one more suggestion and then I think I will close down this ol pc for the night:
Many of us are so focused on not getting BHO nominated; that we are not really focused on WHAT WE CAN DO, IF HILLARY IS THE NOMINEE.
And by that, I do mean, there needs to be some plan put into action or contingency plan or articles or research or whatever to making sure that she beats McCain in the fall.
I am here speculating that a certain amount of research or webpages / articles be devoted to her strengths.
Perhaps a team of workers to that cause.

One of those “McCain vs. Obama” discussions just starting…”as if” they are the only options:
http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2008/07/07/the-vision-thing-all-over-again/
I posted: I couldn’t agree more. IF ONLY the Democratic Party, i.e., SUPERdelegates, as they are supposed to be known, lived up to their name. Meaning, they need to select a candidate who is knowledgeable and experienced AND electable - _especially_ when it comes to the economy.
When it comes to Hillary Clinton, she’s got it all, in spades.
cosmeta: how’s that for positive stuff on Hillary, was I fast enough for you?
a coincidence, yes, but a very funny one!
Night-night, John-Boy, Elizabeth, & everyone else!
So I faxed this several times, however I didn’t have any luck getting it to go through to Howard Deans number Obama got it a couple of times….
Re: “Hillary’s Chances” “Polls” “Teflon Guy”:
One of the most brilliant marketing books ever written is called “Time-Based Competition” regarding global market positioning.
1) The marketing of Obama is being driven by mass-media coverage through BO camp Press Releases (they are writing their own story - what they want to convey -and buying coverage of those “stories” with advertising dollars) Hell… they even do it (press releases) with the traveling press corp on the planes everyday, several times a day…
It’s called “SPIN, SPIN, SPIN”!
(Think about it - how did he win elections in the past - bought it - and with corrupt dollars - win at all costs)
2) When under pressure - crumble or come out roaring at the enemy - wear down the opposition by discouraging them, overpowering them - with messages of invincibility.
(Think about it - more opposition is springing up everyday against Obama and the DNC)
They are roaring - because they are in trouble! It is all a ruse!
Remember - no one was reporting on the fact that Hillary was overtaking Obama in the popular vote - or that the Caucuses represented only 3% of the votes being cast, or that Obama was outspending Clinton 3 to 1 and still coming up short or barely beating her in some of the contests. They even minimized her big wins.
He campaign was SPENDING everything they could raise on advertising - she had more allocated to the GE because he was using everything to buy media, thus get the “Messages” in his press releases out front to lead the headlines!
That’s the way marketing works!
The polls are also unreliable - because they are controlled by the $$$ - media advertising dollars.
How are they playing the game?
PRESS RELEASES… PRESS RELEASES… PRESS RELEASES!
Want to get the media’s attention? What is the story of PUMA? What are the numbers? What are the Hits? What is being raised? How many affiliate blogs? What is the network? What do PUMA polls say about their votes?
Then, put it all in…
PRESS RELEASES… PRESS RELEASES… PRESS RELEASES!
Tell the media what the STORY of PUMA and its coalition is and what is happening every day, week, month.
That is how it is done… the PRESS RELEASE sets the ball in motion for the media coverage… it gives them:
1) The Headline for the Story
2) the outline for the story
3) The facts supporting the Story
Then send copies of the PRESS RELEASES to super delegates, Senators, etc.
Also, the “opposition” needs to be copied on any stories in the media about PUMA and its Coalitions.
They already know PUMAS are pissed!
They already know PUMAS are not going to vote for BO!
What scares them the most is who else is finding out!
This crap about the “Stadium Acceptance Speech” is all about intimidating the opposition., i.e., “the opposition doesn’t matter - we’re planning the acceptance speech”
(It is all BS propaganda to get PUMAS, other opposition, undecideds and the GOP to give up… because if they do not sell that message what happens? HE WILL NOT WIN!)
(P.S. - A press release should also be used to inform the media on how the DNC ignores requests to get off the mailing lists, hateful responses from SDs, and what PUMAS are doing about it)
Want to know why Obama is in the news everyday?
PRESS RELEASES - They literally GIVE (in press releases)the media something to write about!
That’s my take and suggestion - Press Releases.
The DNC and OBAMA do not give a damn - they only care about THEIR STORY and getting their story out there all the time - the way they want it to read.
I would think the same would be true for their opposition!
Who would care about the PUMA STORY? The Public - and the media sells stories to the public - so the public will be exposed to their advertisers!
Get the story to the PUBLIC - directly and through the media via press releases about how PUMAS are reaching the Public’s Interest - that is the media’s customer.
Murphy, your written response to my request that you vet correspondence before distribution illustrates precisely the rationale behind my request. Specifically, in my initial posting, I wrote the phrase “effected the polls evidencing declining endorsements for Senator Obama…” You repeated the word “effect” but, you wrote [sic] after it, perhaps assuming I had meant to use the word “affect,” instead. However, I intended to use “effect,” which Merriam-Webster defines as “to cause to come into being,” as opposed to “affect,” meaning “to influence.” In other words, we produced the result of alienation, as opposed to only helping the alienation process along.
Madazzhel, here are some specifics you requested.
1. Using capital letters in the middle of text to emphasize a point is inappropriate. A well presented point requires no such embellishment.
2. Salutations to people with whom the writer is not personally acquainted require a colon and not a comma.
3. Identifying yourself as a Democrat requires a capital “D” as it refers to the proper name of a specific political party; identifying general principles of a democratic form of government requires a small “d.”
4. “American Idol” is the name of a television program and should be in quotes.
5. The words “hero worship” are used together as a noun without a hyphen (as opposed to “hero-worship,” used as a transitive verb).
6. Saying “as you continue down your path of eventual irrelevancy” implies these two men, that is, Senator Obama and Chairman Dean, are becoming irrelevant. Is this what you meant to say? The phrase is trite, anyway.
7. Citizens are not “participatory,” democracies are. However, citizens may accurately be said to be “participating” in that democracy which, technically, makes them “participating citizens.” Of course, this phrasing is awkward.
Enough for now. I am tired. Good night.

[[ Obama’s Troubling Internet Fund Raising ]]
If true, this one is just TOO GOOD TO BE OVERLOOKED and not quoted.
——————————————
” Then, about two months into the campaign the daily contribution intake multiplied. Where was it coming from? One of the web site security monitors began to notice the bulk of the contributions were clearly coming
in from overseas internet service providers and at the rate and frequency of transmission it was clear these donations were “programmed” by a very
sophisticated user.
While the security people were not able to track most of the sources due to firewalls and other blocking devices put on these contributions they were
able to collate the number of contributions that were coming in seemingly from individuals but the funds were from only a few credit card accounts and bank electronic funds transfers. The internet service providers (ISP) they were able to trace were from Saudi Arabia, Iran, and other Middle Eastern countries. One of the banks used for fund transfers was also located in Saudi Arabia.
Another concentrated group of donations was traced to a Chinese ISP with a similar pattern of limited credit card charges.
It became clear that these donations were very likely coming from sources other than American voters. This was discussed at length within the campaign and the decision was made that none of these donations violated campaign financing laws. ”

For Anyone Intending to Use Public Transportation in Denver
Tonight I received an e-mail from a contact in Denver who informed me that the public transport system will be altering bus and train routes and schedules. He said he would send along updated information when he gets it.
Faxes done today.
This guy is really an egomaniac. How about after we successfully keep him from being President, we set our sights on knocking him out of the Senate at reelection time? Does he think we’ll forget?
Another flip flop…..this one about taxes…I’m getting dizzzzzzyyyyy.

I mean, I’m not uptight or anything. I laugh at Clinton jokes, but it’s like, everytime I watch any of the late-night hosts, they’re doing nothing but making Hillary jokes. It’s getting pretty tiresome.

See Bob Herbert’s piece in the NYT today (link below) - Herbert is usually an Obama cheerleader but he is refreshingly honest here: BO’s “lurching with abandon” is turning off his base (political left) and some of his African-American supporters; the BO camp assumes both groups will stick with him “no matter what.” Aside from illustrating the weakness of the “presumptive Democratic nominee,” Herbert’s analysis shows that this election is not about race but all about character, experience, and policies: something we knew all along.

Hi, I’m back again, this time as 2Witchy. It’s been a long day, and I hope I’m back to stay! I found the following article on Unheard American Voices and thought you might be interested. Woke up for some reason and decided to go play on the net. I went over to bobo’s blog and noticed something.
Most of his open blogs have around three hundred posts. The most was 416. Least was 216. And they are from the same people.
Where is all this support he is supposed to have?
Where do you think I should send a flyer of the information from #2 Taxes last evening? I’d like someone to look at it and see if we could “refine” it so that we have something to copy onto the back of those beautiful posters fred made. I’m sure if murphy wants works in progress to be posted for all eyes?
Good morning, Yesterday’s posting of the tax comparison very helpful. Within minutes of leaving the house I was engaged. Buying a printer today. It’s getting harder to hold all these facts in my head. Murphy, keep an eye out for the thank you note heading your way. Thanks for the talking points people. Does the H. stand for Humpback?
I think death threats, or plain threats should be taken directly to the justice, and trace where does it come from
INFORMATION WOULD MAKE US FREE
WHAT IS GOING ON??????
WHAT IS GOING ON WITH FREEDOM OF PRESS????
PICTURE WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF THIS GUY GETS TO THE WH¡¡¡¡¡

all the press should be notify of the threads
gojoyknocks I made a quick poster of tax comparison if you want a copy for that new printer of yours, let me know where to send it. or email me at NancyPuma@gmail.com
Not poster, I mean flyer…save you some time and you can modify it to suit your needs.

Awesome, I used what was in #2 posting but was unsure of some things….I appreciate your help
Good Morning Pumas,
I faxed both letters just now. I put the Proverbs verse in the bottom margin. Thought it said it all and would add a nice touch.
Faxed it to ‘em.
I faxed my letter. Thank you for all your hard work Murphy, Maryland and others. Please make no mistake about it. The repubs are being quiet on purpose. I think, we too have taken them by surprise. We all have not jumped on that McCain bandwagon either. And this primary was not all bo’s doing. Why do you think he really took all those red states? They KNOW they cant beat Hillary. So please be diligent and keep working for Hillary, we are making great progress…We have everyone scared. And Hillary…Well…..she or her large donors have not given up …so don’t give everything away….keep diligent…KEEP THE FAITH…GOD is an ontime GOD and HE DOES WORK MIRICLES.
I faxed my letters this morning! I feel great! I did put my name and county/state at the bottom so they’ll know not everyone in TEXAS drank the kool-aid.
Roxy4Hill2
Why did you send me to a bogus article? We know the Dems are going to first let all the tax cuts expire, the taxes go up and then they say they lowered them.

Excellent PUMA roars…I can hear you (applauding paws)
I just want to prepare you for what you’re going to see on American television at the end of July:
BO is coming to Germany on July 24th. A HUGE event is being prepared for his speech at the Brandenburger Tor: the very center of Berlin, right next to the big new American Embassy that opened on the 4th of July. German TV keeps playing tape of 1) Kennedy’s “Ich bin ein Berliner” speech near the Brandenburger Tor; 2) Reagan’s “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall” speech given at the Brandenburger Tor; and 3) smiling pictures of BO coming to stake his claim.
In other words, German TV is treating BO as if he is already President and filling the shoes of Kennedy and Reagan. Germans love a spectacle and they will show up in droves to hear this speech, which I’m sure will be broadcast over and over on U.S. TV. BO, of course, wants this one speech to stand in for his lack of experience and plans on sending this message to Americans: Kennedy stood up to the mighty Soviets in Berlin; Reagan ended communism and reunified Germany; we can only imagine what miracles the great BO will perform. I am certain that the BO camp will use this footage to try to convince voters that not only will BO unite Americans, he will unite the world and make everybody love America once again. All symbol, no substance.
After reading your reports yesterday of the DNC’s attempt to turn the convention into a mass-sports-event-cum-celebrity extravaganza at the Mile High Stadium, this whole Brandenburger Tor speech is making me sick at heart. I am so hoping that people aren’t falling for all of this, but I worry about the power of superficial symbolism to sway the masses.
Having said that: forewarned is forearmed. Can anything be done to mitigate this manipulation of symbols and the televised heralding of BO as if he is a foreign policy savior? Where the heck is the McCain camp in all this? I don’t see any counter-moves; I wish McCain would come to Berlin on the same day so that this becomes an equal presentation of the two candidates and not the prancing around of only one “presumptive.”
Is it worth writing to the McCain people and telling them to set something up????
Murphy,Just tried to e-mail you at Murphy@pumapac.org and received a failure notice. I am late for work but will try other addresses later or maybe snail mail. thank you nhforhillary.
Perhaps there are 2 different tax plans being discussed. On last night blog there was a reference to “a tax plan” and when you follow the link provided it will take you to the Washington Post story. I provided the washington post link.
Vote for a dog for BO? Oh please.

If Dean and NoName are giving Hillary until the 15th to pay off her debt or she won’t have a place at the convention, this coincides with the plea for donations before the 11th. Also, I think Dean and NoName don’t want her at the convention and are looking for ways to block her.
Is there anyway for us to find out how much is left to pay off?
Could we contact her big fundraisers-the ones who are not happy with NoName–and ask them to help?
Afterall, if she can’t be at the convention, we will have to settle with the Chosen One and I am not willing to do that?
Suggestions please!
I just sent out the faxes to both; however, I used (202) 863-8063 as in the past the one with the last four digits of 8174 didn’t work. Did it work for all of you?
Sorry, as to Dean’s fax.

I vote for a bull dog for NoName since he’s so full of it!
looks like they are figuring out how to not cover us in Denver
“But the announcement came after the news media had spent months planning coverage under the seemingly safe assumption that all four nights of the convention would take place at the Pepsi Center, which seats 19,000 people.
The challenge was especially high for the major television networks, which pour millions of dollars into elaborate sky box and floor sets devised to showcase their own stars along with the candidates themselves.
The television network chiefs were to hold a meeting late Monday to discuss how to collectively handle the change in plans, which will now require extra sets and camera locations.
Executives at all of the networks said the move to the stadium may require them to scale back plans for the first three nights of the convention in a year when the unexpectedly long Democratic nominating season and tough economic times already have strained news budgets.
For the past few election cycles, the networks have chafed at providing blanket coverage of the conventions, complaining that they have become little more than stage-managed press releases for all-but-certain candidacies and no longer produce real news.”

#266 MaBe.
I think Dean/Pelosi must of thought since the right-wing media made it possible to get Bush elected twice, then now it would be just as easy to have the left-wing media doing the same thing for BO. But I think people will not fall for the media again. The numbers between McCain/Bo are tied, after having every possible person come out to endorse him, even Gore. So I think the mass media this time will be his down fall. Even some of his young supporters are having doubts.
#276 vadaryl. Still conformation I think.
Has anybody read this yet (Getting their act together and taking it on the road: to Denver)

All done Murphy..thanks !
Is the action center down ?
267 I agree there should be somewhere to see where we are and how far to go. I think none of her supporters should give Obama a dime ti ll the 15th can we do anything there?Jeesh is frustrating .
sorry morning all have been to bommys blogs so was in disarray I fear. Hope you are all haveing a great puma morning.
I will be sure to fax this out! also, I can’t wait for more “Denver” news to read!
Don’t have a fax machine… snail mail do?
on the above letter?
I saw on the news this morning on NBC local station in Chicago, an older woman in her 60’s got stopped for having a McCain=George Bush homemade sign at a McCain rally. The police were told by the secret service that she would not be allowed in the rally. They told her to get rid of the sign. She would not. She stood strong.
The thing is PUMA’s I still think that the repubs helped set this whole primary season up from the beginning, and the idiots at the dnc, and the kool aid drinkers along with their leader fell for the okie doke, and got bamboozled again. Just my own opinion.
MURPHY - please check your email - URGENT!
Thanks
Don’t have alot of time this AM. Looks like we’re real busy today. HOORAY!
Just a thought all, but for privacy purposes, for those of us using home faxes, I just removed my name and fax number from the top of the heading on my outgoing faxes when I send to the opposition.
269,274 - I picked the poodle - Love all dogs but he reminds me more of the “lap”
Maryland & Murphy - your posts last night (early morning) brought a smile to my face. I think we also have to portray to the lurkers that we can have a little fun once in a while also and I don’t think we have to apologize for it ( sorry blog police!).
Shows a sense of caring and comraderie that I personally think is just as important as facts.
So have FUN today PUMA’s.

please check the web site you are giving on your blog.

#244 - piepiepie75 - re: jokes
There is a reference to a joke Jon Stewart made on The Daily Show recently about BO (posted in an entertainment magazine this week). Right after his joke, the audience did not respond with enough of a chuckle, and Jon Stewart commented, “You know, you are allowed to laugh at him.”
That’s how intense their feelings are–they can’t even laugh. It is taken so seriously.
Re: the Middle East donors who “hid” their contributions to BO. This is a huge story and needs to be shouted from the rooftops. I strongly suggest we send commentary or questions to the media regarding this. It may be legal, but it is highly suspect as it indicates that foreign nations are influencing the selection of a presidential candidate.
#266 MaBe - Yes, the Europeans are acting as if BO is already president. My daughter lives in France and says the press there is also quite enamored. I’m visiting her in a couple of weeks, and I’ve already asked her to help me say to curious French folks: Je ne vote pas pour Obama.
(I do/will NOT vote for Obama.)

Possible radio ads in Massachusetts against John Kerry… very interesting.. time to vote out the incumbents!!!

http://topics.nytimes.com/top/opinion/editorialsandoped/oped/columnists/maureendowd/index.html
I am concerned about this. Who wrote it - the man whose name is on the post?
MURPHY - I agree that you need press releases. Why not ask for PUMAs who can write press releases, and hash out topics for them to write on. Get out one every day.
Also, the PUMA who noted needed edits to your stadium letter, has excellent points. Why don’t you ask for PUMAs who can do editing, and then run communications by them before posting.
Thank you for working so hard!

#156 marie - I’ve known since last year NONAME is receiving campaign contribution from overseas especially middleeastern countries. One of the biggest supporter of NONAME is Hamas, another one is Khadaffy. Any amount below $200.00 campaign contribution is not reported individually, they assign it one account name; only campaign contribution over $200.00 must be reported individually as required by law every month.
NONAME is receiving campaign contribution from overseas, even HAMAS volunteers make phone calls here in the US to unsuspecting Americans asking them to vote for NONAME. This was reported by Al Jazeera; young Palestinians in Gaza strip making phone calls using their PC and getting phone numbers of unsuspecting Americans from Obama’s website. You’ve never heard CNN, MSNBC talked about it. FOXNEWS reported it after some people forwarded them the URL in youtube, it was website of Al Jazeera.
NONAME is a VERY DANGEROUS MAN!
bmw60, someone would need your user name and password to log into your account. go change your password if you think you’ve been hacked.
Here’s the URL about Palestinians making phone calls on behalf of NONAME. This area is gaza strip is CONTROLLED by HAMAS.

Not to mention that it’s BHO’s gig, his money; and in my opinion he ought to be able to do his acceptance speech wherever he wishes.
It is not a letter I can send out because I do not agree with it. And on a practical matter, if BHO or the DNC are enticipating huge turnouts then I would think it in their best interest and in Denver’s best interest to accomodate people in one location rather than to have them walking the streets of Denver with the possibility of riots.
The only thing that concerns me, is this: It is a media ploy so that BHO can say in his speech something like this:
Thank you Denver. Thank you America. It is totally fitting and proper that today marks both the end of an era and the beginning of a new one. Fourty years ago, John F. Kennedy gave his acceptance speech in an open arena very similar to this one, and I am honored to have had the opportunity to follow in his footsteps. Then he will say something to acknowledge Martin Luther King and how he is the fulfillment of his dream. Then of course to rally his troops andl say something like,
THIS IS OUR TIME, AMERICA.
THIS IS THE PLACE!
bla bla
It will become his next round of ads against McCain and will rally the DNC’s Black base as well as trying to instill in his white audiance a reflection back into the Kennedy era.
In short, it is a well planned, well thought out media event. Not to mention the collection of funds for the General.
It will be the beginning of a new form of racism in America, something we have not seen in this country for 40 years.
All, in my not so humble opinion.
America Unleashes a Monster
By now, even the people living under rocks have heard about Obama’s forged birth certificate. This is worrisome for a number of reasons. First off, that he and/or his campaign staff thought the general public was that stupid/gullible (well, on second thought, he DOES have a lot of supporters, maybe a lot of them ARE that stupid.), and secondly why on earth would they feel that they needed to submit a forgery? Is he a native US citizen or not? Or is this about his name? or his parent’s religion? Either way, it is a reasonable thing to look at since after all, there is that little legal requirement that he be a native US citizen, and not just a naturalized one. One person put up a website for an online petition calling for the REAL birth certificate to be released, but within hours of it going up, someone, using the site operator’s home address, left a veiled threat against the site operator and his family.

What are Americans going to do about this? I called DHS , I Called THE AG office this type of mob fear tactics has to be STOP. We set passively and let this crap happen WAKE THE HELL UP
Just faxed mine!

Can it be possible that the dnc would get behind someone who can not legally be prez. I think i finally grasp the meaning of the word phantagasmoric (like the nightmares one may have when suffering from an ague/flu) while watching this never ending train wreck.
Anyone know to whom I should report the gambling solicitation I rec’d yesterday from the Dnc and waffles camp. It would be fun to even just lodge a complaint.
I have read so may posts of Obama supporters that show that they are out of touch with reality or live in cloud nine.
They seem to think that the presidency is a matter of being cool, magical or persuasive. But it is not. It is a matter of responsibility, experience, of loving. knowing and respecting this country.
All of these virtues are missing in Obama. He will lead the nation to what we fear most.. During the past weeks he has changed gears many times and has flip and flopped like crazy.
Obamabots are easily persuaded by the promise of Change. Change is just a a word, a concept that can and has been used to deceive people.
What does he really stand for? Do we really know? Do we want to risk learning what he is all about after electing him? I don’t think so.
NObama with or without Hillary as VP.
She should and will be President.
I like the letter. I will use it myself.
I just got back into town late last night; went to the DFW area and spent time with some friends I haven’t been able to spend time with in years. I spread the word. It was a good thing. I came armed with lots of information that I got through these blogs. My friends “new” husband (now of 16 years) is a union man at GM and he says Nobama is not very popular with these folks, no matter what the press says. I was able to give him some flyers that he is going to copy and distribute around at work. Their mutual children are also very well-informed and we did a lot of discussing with that group as well as a group from their church who are also very dissatisifed with the “selected nominee”. It’s very good to go armed with information, because it gave me and us as Pumas another opportunity to distribute information. As well, the area they live in is filled with residents who are older and do to their 4th party, I was able to also get information to some of that group who are not very active on the internet, but who are very committed to voting. I felt like I had really accomplished something, because all of these people have their own little groups that they too are going to pass the information along to.. spreading the word by word of mouth!!!
GO PUMAS!!!
Sent ‘em both. Changed Murphy’s signeture to mine first, of course. Can you believe this guy’s ego?
This guy and his supporters are threating anyone that questions anything about him, from Steve Corbett Radio host, Bloggers , Individuals and politicians. This Capone style tactics don’t work for me , first try and guilt me into voting for you and when that don’t work try invoking FEAR.
Luke 1. 51
He has done mighty things with his arm.
He has scattered those who are proud in their
deepest thoughts.
James 4:16
As it is, you are proud. You brag about it. That kind of bragging is evil.
Just a quick comment before I leave for work. First, goodmorning Puma family… The more time that passes, the more I know deep in my heart that our cause is a fight worth fighting for. A MOVEMENT THAT must BE WAGED. A mission much larger than we are as individuals. My anger jumps off the rictor scale very often, and I must constantly remind myself to channel that energy into the work we must do. The chalenges we must conquer. And the bridges we must build to take back not only the process, but our country from those who want to defy the constitution and silence our voices. For me, this is not just a protest of what happened to Hillary, but possibly one of the most historical movements all of us will make in the history of this great nation. The nation that belongs to us,
(the people). When we feel disillusioned , frustrated, and knocked down, we must remember what it is that we are doing to bring about change and justice for ALL the people who have been pushed aside. Strength in numbers is a powerful thing. And remember. We will not go away silently, or just fall in line. We are many, we are strong, and we are mad as hell..
Have a great day my Puma family.
Thanks so much Murphy, for making all of this happen.
you rock !!!!
Interesting article from the Wall Street Journal ABOUT THE DENVER CONVENTION and Donna still has her say on things - apologize for the length and have not gone up the thread to make sure already not posted:Clinton’s Convention Role Being Negotiated
Democrats Weigh
Putting Her Name
Into Nomination
By JUNE KRONHOLZ
July 8, 2008; Page A4
Hillary Clinton won a hefty 1,600 convention delegates in six months of primaries. A big question now is whether to let them vote at the Democratic convention.
Associated Press
Hillary Clinton endorsed Barack Obama in a joint appearance on June 27, but their camps are debating whether she will be in consideration as a nominee at the Democratic Party’s national convention next month.
High on the list of matters that Sen. Clinton and likely Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama are negotiating as her campaign closes down is whether and how her name is put into nomination at the August convention in Denver, said party activists in both camps.
A full roll-call vote that reminds everyone how close she came to being the nominee could reveal party rifts going into the fall campaign, they said. But keeping her name off the roll call could anger her supporters.
It is a “bone of contention” in the negotiations between the Clinton and Obama camps, said Democratic consultant Donna Brazile.
The Obama campaign said Monday that the Illinois senator would accept the nomination at the 76,000-seat stadium where the Denver Broncos football team plays so that thousands of nondelegates could attend. But the campaign hasn’t settled other key questions about the convention, including whether Sen. Clinton’s name will be put into nomination, said Obama spokesman Bill Burton.
Sen. Clinton’s campaign office didn’t answer emails seeking comment.
Under party rules, Sen. Clinton’s huge delegate count gives her the right to put her name into nomination. “But do you do it?” asked Ms. Brazile. “Politically, does it heighten tensions?”
Neither party has had to face this problem in decades. Minor candidates typically get a few votes at the conventions. But no party has had a roll call with two candidates since the 1976 Republican convention, when then-President Gerald Ford beat Ronald Reagan by 57 votes.
Republicans have their own awkward convention problem: What to do about President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney? As the party’s senior officeholders, they are entitled to a spot at the September meeting in St. Paul, Minn., but they are deeply unpopular with voters.
Sen. Obama could resolve the issue of Sen. Clinton’s delegates by naming her as his running mate, in which case she would have her own roll call as the party’s vice presidential candidate. Barring that, political observers said the Clinton and Obama camps may be mulling a handful of other options.
FROM THE ARCHIVES
• Obama Faces ‘Hillraiser’ Backlash
07/07/08Sen. Clinton could decline to have her name put forward, and Sen. Obama then could be nominated by acclamation. Party rules require a roll call, but the party’s rules committee could adopt any agreement the two campaigns reach, said political consultant Tad Devine, who helped script the roll-call votes for Walter Mondale in 1984 and Michael Dukakis in 1988.
Dropping the roll call would require a vote by the delegates, and would need choreographing to prevent any protests by disappointed Clinton delegates. But an unanimous nomination of Sen. Obama would send the message that he had unified the party, while allowing Sen. Clinton to ingratiate herself with his campaign.
The problem is “there’s a strong feeling” that Sen. Clinton’s delegates need the chance to vote for her, Mr. Devine said. Many are still angry with a party decision that they feel deprived her of delegates from Michigan and Florida. “You don’t want a situation where anybody feels they’ve been cheated,” he said.
A second option would be for Sen. Clinton to be nominated, complete with laudatory speeches and happy floor demonstrations. By prearrangement, Sen. Clinton then would take her name out of consideration and endorse Sen. Obama’s nomination.
“There’s nothing symbolically wrong to putting her name in,” followed by a scripted withdrawal, said Ms. Brazile. But the spectacle of a rapturous welcome for Sen. Clinton would be irresistible to television and could embarrass Sen. Obama.
The two camps also could agree to hold a “friendly” roll call, with the states tossing verbal bouquets to Sen. Clinton before voting for Sen. Obama. But unless lots of delegates switch their votes to Sen. Obama, a roll call would remind voters that Sen. Clinton won the primaries in such swing states as Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Mexico and Florida, which could determine the outcome of the November election.
An off-message delegation chairman or two could take a swipe at Sen. Obama when delivering a state’s votes. Or the networks could decide not to cover a roll call, calculating that it would gobble up the evening’s entire allotted hour of air time.
Sen. Obama would then be deprived of TV images of cheering delegates and a unified convention. “They need a roll call that looks good for Obama,” said Mr. Devine. “That’s what conventions are all about.”
The worst scenario would be that Sen. Clinton and Sen. Obama can’t reach agreement and the convention splits its support. Political experts said that is unlikely, because it would hurt both.
Sen. Obama could avert that danger by offering to showcase Sen. Clinton with a prime-time speech, a biographical film, and appearances by her husband and daughter in place of a nomination. The two camps are still deciding when she will speak and how former President Bill Clinton will be worked into the schedule, activists in both campaigns said.
If Sen. Clinton speaks on Monday, she could set the tone for the convention but then would fade to the sidelines for the rest of the week, both sides agree. Tuesday is closer to the excitement surrounding Sen. Obama’s expected nomination, but she might have to compete for TV time with the convention’s keynoter.
Sen. Obama’s campaign will have final say over how long Sen. Clinton speaks, what she says, who introduces her, how long her supporters can cheer and dozens of other details. Still, a showcase has its perils.
Democrats devoted an entire evening to the Rev. Jesse Jackson as part of a negotiated agreement in 1988 to keep him off the roll call, said Mr. Devine. The event upstaged the low-key Mr. Dukakis, who went on to lose the election to George H. W. Bush in a landslide.

I’m Baackk!!!
Good Morning Pumas.
While away on vacation, I had limited computer access (I broke every PC I touched). It’s amazing to see what has transpired in just 12 days. It seems we have the DNC on the run.
Great job!!!
Beautiful letter!
8am west coast time and letters faxed.
We need to make sure MSM is getting and reporting this info re: Owanna’s campaign contributions. I always knew it was suspect. Cheater.

Good Morning Pumas
I come back from a few days away to learn the DNC is basically going corporate and are resorting to marketing their selected candidate?! I guess I shouldn’t be surprised at anything the DNC and company does anymore:-).
Has anyone seen the movie The Corporation: the pathological pursuit of power, http://www.thecorporation.com/? I just watched it and can’t get the thought out of my head that this is what is happening with the DNC.
Murphy, thanks for another great letter!
Well we have lots of pets, 5 dogs 2 cats 1 turtle, 1 tarantula, and sea monkeys, I use to show dogs my kennel name was mija
With the help of a crying foster grandbaby in my lap I just finally figured out how to copy paste print and fax. All done! Letters sent.

“And now, the compelling reason that I am writing this instead of sleeping -
Hillary needs to make her move NOW!
WE NEED A VOICE TO LEAD US IN THIS CAMPAIGN AGAINST TYRANNY AND THAT VOICE IS HILLARY’S!”
I SOOOO absolutely agree!!!
Both letters faxed. Btw, is your email working Murphy? Just sent you mail.
Done, just fax’d both of my letters.

REPLY to: John Post, 307 (sounds Like a Scripture LOL)
Anyway john, if you know these people that posted the petition, tell them to start it again or on another site.
Some of you may know this and some may NOT, so here ya go,
When people make a website, anyone can look up ALL the information of the owner of the site.
It is called a WHOIS search.
Simply tell them to add PRIVACY to their site.
I bet some (bo) punk got the info that way and sent an e-mail or whatever to them, to threaten them. ALSO if the FBI wants to they can trace it, back to the original sender if it came via, electronic PC means.
There is a site to report Malicious activity to: Here
http://www.fbi.gov/cyberinvest/cyberhome.htm
That is the link as I have tracked hundreds OF IDIOTS that hack websites and just cause trouble or mis-lead people to send money or what ever. IF IT IS a CRIME, (read site what a Crimee is) then REPORT THEM!
Here people, use DNSSTUFF.com and search anyone, IP website, etc… if they do not have Privacy then they can be found, IF they did have privacy, on your story at the top, there is NO WAY, unless they posted it that they could have got the address, Unless it was provided to them by their HOSTING service, which would be a Major crime. The owner of this site has privacy. good.
I need to make a post to educate people on PC’s and Internet.
And, If someone called SmellsLikebo (username gets an e-mail about changing your password, that was me, sorry, I thought I registered here. so ignore it and delete it (the e-mail) I was trying to reset my password as I could not get in, so I had to make another login name, and yes that is my site.
thanks!
NO OBAMA! and YES THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE is a fake, and for them to post that! as if it is the real thing, WOW! That is Intentionally lying.
I think we all need to gather in each stat at a desegnated spot in each town, maybe on a Sunday so they can see how big the coalition is, we need to show them fast because they sure don’t believeit, they still think we will come around and time is running out for Hillary.
Murphy
Is the issue with #282 now fixed? I am very leary of using my email now.
Thanks!
I say, split the nomination, put them BOTH on the ballot, and come November~~may the best WOMAN win!
Back too.
Hill is the strongest among the three. The one can bring positive change and progressive future.
#282 is still a very bad problem
Please delete it!
Thanks
337 good idea
#307 John - BIRTH CERTIFICATE ISSUE - and as well the mortgage situation, the tax plan, the Iraq issue, internet contributions and I could go on and on - what I think is happening - we get these bits of information and then they are hoping and are quite right - we will give up on them and let them die away - of course - if MSM got involved maybe it would help - but they will not - so somehow we have to organize with each of these issues and continue to blog in newspapers all over the country - send letters to super delegates asking their advice on the subjects etc - if we do nothing - they win.
I’ll get the faxes out this morning. This letter says exactly what needs to be said.
got it utahpuma — sorry about that. I was slow this morning.
This is a silly poll, but it is a prime example of how the Media slants to favor BHO:
Pet owners prefer McCain over Obama
By RANDOLPH E. SCHMID, Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON (AP) — If the presidential election goes to the dogs, John McCain is looking like best in show…..
http://news.yahoo.com/page/election-2008-political-pulse-pets-and-politics
it goes on to say among this group McCain is LEADING. BUT the Yahoo teaser link says • Poll: Obama leads McCain among people who don’t have pets. They will TWIST IT TO FIND A WAY TO say “BHO leads”.
re: POSTING PERSONAL INFO
For what it’s worth:
I’m thinking that when you inadvertantly post personal information, that instead of broadcasting the error with numerous calls for assistance, that you increase your chances with security by going into stealth mode and just emailing murphy, or one of the other ops, with a request for the removal of the information.
I never would have known that you’d posted personal info had there not been numerous references to the slip and the actual post number.
Thanks Murphy - I don’t know why that happened, but it makes me very nervous.
I know how busy you must be, so thanks for taking time to do this.
And if I haven’t said it lately, I do appreciate you and all that you do. This site is just so great.
Good morning..it’s 7:30 a.m. here in, going to be very hot, Los Angeles.
I’m going to get on the faxes today and will email some S.Delegates also.
Does anyone know how we did with Hillarys debt over the weekend?
I too, yesterday, became very depressed when I heard this man is going to treat this like a rock star event?
The DNC is broke, they aren’t paying for this show of decadence, and he and Dean are now telling Hillary to pay off her debt before the 15th of July, so she can start raising money for him?
This man brags about how much money he can raise, how much he has raised, and now he wants to throw it away by playing “rock star” to his adoring fans .
Any way, I can’t quit now, I’m still angry, and therfore must fight on!! Good day to all.
#340 DancesWithPumas
Sorry if I offended you but the problem was more complex than that.
Faxes sent!
Hint for others that still need to send the faxes….I made multiple copies and faxed them. It ties the fax machine up longer, uses more paper, etc.
Ok. I faxed both letters. I hope something positive comes out of all this for Hillary.
At least there is some positive news with Hillary donors not supporting O. I hope the SD’s can vote without intimidation at the convention…..

“Thanks for pointing it out — I’ve deleted the comment as I think comments like that are inappropriate on our public forum.
Personally, I found the comment jarring and unpleasant — as someone who is terrified of flying I have nothing but extreme empathy for anyone in a scary flight situation.
However, saying that you hope someone dies is neither a threat nor an attack. It is protected free speech.

OK, I haven’t left a comment since joining here 6/7, but I’ve been prowling about stealthily ever since. And the closer we get to convention, the more fired-up I get. Received a call from the DNC yesterday, the 2nd in a week. They must be hard-up for cash after booking the stadium for the coronation. I told the volunteer on the line that I was a PUMA now, and he claimed ignorance of the term. It was a teachable moment and I grabbed it. He was a gentleman, unlike the one who hung up on me last week.
Here’s a little piece that begs comment from those of you who are well-versed in response blogging.

Re: Concession from Gergen and another flip-flop
David Gergen, analyst for CNN, said on Anderson 360 yesterday that Obama could lose if Women’s Groups for Hillary decide not to vote/vote for McCain.
Obama has flip-flopped re a set date for exit from Iraq. Now exit is a goal rather than a set date.

It’s understandable and your personal safety must come first. These thugs drive me mad though! It is a petition to see the bc of the person who is running for PRESIDENT. You should be entitled to know what his credentials are.
On another note, isn’t it possible to protect your personal data when starting a website? This is a general question for future reference to anyone who knows.
mijabsnji — nothing to be sorry about — not at all!
Part of what we are doing in the Puma PAC movement is getting back our sense of being politically ACTIVE citizens. We are all learning so much about our government, our rights, and our freedoms.
The First Amendment is not a slogan. It is law and it MATTERS. Not just to newspapers or kooks in the park or advertisers.
It matters to us — to you and me. Being able to say something unpleasant without fear of the SECRET SERVICE or the KGB or BIG BROTHER coming to get you is EXACTLY why we should be in awe of our Bill of Rights. It’s not there to make sure we can all say “Peace and Love!” “Apple Pie” or Kittens!”
It’s there so we can say things like “I hope George Bush contracts a fatal venereal disease and dies a painful, slow, horrible death.”
For WAY TOO LONG, Americans have not been participating as individuals in government. Other than voting, which is obviously crucial, we’ve not been involved in the day-to-day or month-to-month of our government. We’ve lost the “self” sense of self-government.
That’s why Puma PAC is here — to get the “self” back in . To relearn what it means to be a CITIZEN in a free country.
Never apologize for exercising your rights. Never.
I just got back from my 4th of July vacation. There is good news to report.
My kool-aid drinking family members now fall into two camps:1) Some no longer like Obama and 2). The others like Obama, but they think he is going to lose.
Let’s keep this going. We are doing all the right things.
By the way, did anybody get a sense that the ghost of Joseph Goebbels has come back to haunt us with the planned Obama acceptance speech at Denver’s football stadium?

hi all
I got some posts in at an Obama blog. Surprised me letting them in but pleased.
Newest news Obamas ad and e-mails for $5.oo and you could win a stay and seat is illegal. The state attorney hasnt had any complaints so cannt do anything. It is internet gambling and not lega and Colorado has only couple gambling places and state lottery that is allowed. sounds like a win to me !!

#355 mijabsnji, I think at one point or another we’ve all said things that…well, you know….I know I’ve asked for some of my posts to be deleted after reading them through….it’s okay, America is the land of the free, and free speech….and I seriously doubt that statement would ever be worthy of a secret service investigation. OB supporters will stop at nothing to make us look bad when in fact they are doing it to themselves.
Murphy - My letters were sent earlier this morning.
I am really disgusted at the thought that this imposter is ‘dreaming’ of going to the ‘Mountain Top’. What a - I can’t use the expletives that come to mind! MLK would turn over in his grave to see this charade. How dare they!!!!!
I am further frustrated with the firmness with which they insinuate that he will be the nominee - day by day, it is making it even more difficult to retract, if and when they MUST.
My prayer is that the ***** falls flat on his face before too long. If we have to wait for the Swift Boaters after the convention, so be it. BUT, I have no doubt that, in time, vengence will be ours! AND, we will have our country and party back.

When I showed dogs my handlers name was Frank Murphy he was a good person too.
Letters to Dean and Obama have been sent and made a few revisions….
This hold DNC representation, or lack of, is a nightmare and we have got to stop them!!!
Faxes sent with letter above.
Thanks Murphy for all you have done and continue to do.
We got YOUR back!
Murphy, your letter to Dean and Bo is outstanding! Great message, I think we are all feeling the disgust at this super hero display. How presumptuous that he is even going to be the chosen one.
Last evening I listened to the tape of Nobama saying he took to drugs and beer to fill the emptiness. HE used “spirits”. It is the same “spirits” he seeks when he orates to the masses in an arena. Just follow any evangelical ministry that has fallen. They amassed thousands and on that”energy” were all later identified as “cheaters”.
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18
Why after the primaries, when he had to begin to fill in the spaces of his “CHANGE”, he cannot speak from himself. Why he needs a 75K arena.
What will he do later, when the “energy” of a mass of people are not there. Who will be leading this country? The same DEAN, Pelosi Socialists who fill and wind him now?
Too stop one from saying (or thinking) anything like that the TOP guy must be truly loved.

The story cannot be verified but that does not mean that there is nothing to it this man is a liar and a fraud so let someone check it out. I saw a story on I think it was Fox News about 3 mos ago about internet cafe’s set up for Obama in Arab countries now I dont know if they were donating or what and TM had an article posted at one time. I wish I could find the article that TM had posted.
I’m still catching up (at work, previous puma blogs, and at home), but I still found time to do today’s action items … the letters have been faxed.

#399 Vadaryl - all sd’s have reported back to me that they could find NO EVIDENCE about the 8 flipping SDS back to our camp, only one that is left and the one that I am the most close in respect to the back door of what is going on - this SD is on vacation right now - but will investigate by Friday and give me the complete scoop on it
Jane-PA and Antifish - John - We all have a great arsenal of information on here - but its to ourselves - once we compile everything into one special letter - whether it has been confirmed or not - the letter could state that it is not confirmed - it just might sway a lot of people from the other side -
Yes, UtahPuma - would love the help with the Editors portion -
Antifish - YOU are the wonderful “writer” of the group - ala Gore and others - I bet we could come up with something that could knock the socks off of the public - once the information is out there - we have it here - but they don’t know we are here.
Thanks for letting me get that out today - back to the other personal chores now…………
Hey Murphy and all PUMAs, I haven’t been here for a couple of days, and was just reading through the posts of the day so far. Murphy is right about our rights and free speech. We’ve all said something in retrospect we’d say differently if given the chance, so don’t worry about it…also…think about all of the NASTY things the MSM has said about Senator Clinton in the past months,. No apologies from them. Did anyone threaten them with calling the Secret Service?? Probably not. They don’t scare easy. PUMAs don’t either. We’re generally appropriate and to the point.
Have a great day, y’all!
#406 I was also wondering if this is normal for all these people to say No to the VP slot and we are making more out of it than we should. What has happened in the past elections during the VP selection process. What’s happening on the McCain side this time around? Are they doing the same thing or trying to get on the ticket?
#395 DaddysDarlin
This guy is a nut! I was the one who brought here his first answer to someone in a blog I was in. But now, I think we should make a list of all of his answers and send them to the media!
Good news! The Cheetos are worried about GOP fundraising.
“Last week, we wrote that despite the vast disparity between John McCain’s and Barack Obama’s overall fundraising total this cycle–$120 million to $287 million at last count–the Republican stands a surprisingly good chance of keeping up with his rival in the general election. One reason was the RNC. When you combine McCain’s individual war chest with his party’s bankroll, it turns out the Republican nominee has about $90 million currently burning a hole in his pocket, while Obama and the DNC weigh in at a relatively paltry $47 million, or half as much. ”
“Let’s be frank here. If Barack Obama does not raise the kind of money in large numbers, there is going to be trouble. We are already behind the eight ball because of a long primary which was over in March, but was extended through June. It does not give Obama time to breathe or time for much of anything. I hope you understand, time is not our friend here.”

Meet Darragh Murphy, 39-year-old mother of three, and founder of an alledgedly pro-Clinton PAC called Puma, who was recently interviewed by New England Cable News Political Reporter, Alison King and was also a guest on Fox & Friends.

Hello PUMA family
Faxes done right now.
I cannot be very often on line ,PUMA family, but I am with you in my spirit.
Have great day my PUMA family
#390-Jane-Pa - ILLEGAL LOTTERY - anyone from Colorado that can post a complaint about the Obama camp giving free access to the convention from a drawing if they donate an “x” amount - THAT MIGHT MAKE news -
#401 Marie Great POST! I love this part of the article!
“What’s he doing?” is the most common question heard recently from Obama supporters
RISE HILLARY, RISE!
#412 - antifish!!!
Good to know, good to know!!!
I agree, we have them on the run.. let’s keep the pressure on!!!!
#408 I am a little confused by the lack of evidence, then where did this info about 8 supers come from? I hope your last contact can fill us in on what really happened. Thanks for telling us what you found out so far.
In post #295, MsBinMD gave a link for a good article on Obama’s ticket “lottery” for Mile High being against many different gambling laws, but said it probably wouldn’t go anywhere. Please follow the link and Digg it, maybe it will at least give more random eyes something to think about.

Re: Obama’s questionable birth certificate
There should be some way we could request the FBI/others to check this potential fraud.
Good morning Pumas,
Check this out!
Obama bill: $845 billion
more for global poverty
Democrat sponsors act OK’d by Senate panel
that would cost 0.7% of gross national product
Sen. Barack Obama, perhaps giving America a preview of priorities he would pursue if elected president, is rejoicing over the Senate committee passage of a plan that could end up costing taxpayers billions of dollars in an attempt to reduce poverty in other nations…..
Here’s the link if you want to read more

Thank you Susy T - Antifish - Utahpuma - anyone else that wants to join the group of information to get to the public as quickly as possible - I am out of town until this weekend - but once I get back and start compiling this information - hope to have everything done by a target date of a week from this Friday - the more the merrier.

Oh Please, another BO interception and illusion!
WE ADORE MURPHY! REP OR DEM….WHO CARES! Ultimate goal for PUMAs - Oppose the SELECTION OF BO
MURPHY - WE KNOW IT’S NOT TRUE - YOU ROCK!
Forgot to add you Jane-Pa - would never forget to do that - and
Vadaryl #399 - 4 of the sd’s told me it came from a blogger - and guess what - all the ones that I have emailed with do “look” at our sites - so they also have the same information that we do - but just not compiled together in one form - THE REASON I AM DOING THIS for them.
This is great! McCain has a page to spread his talking points. One of his targets is the Cheetos!

I’m not finding that artile on Maureen Dowd’s site. I don’t think she wrote it. Double check. The information might be good, but this doesn’t look credible.
Monring Pumas,
I copied the letter but don’t have a fax, will take it to a friends and fax later.
Looks like no one wants to be BOs VP. Guess they don’t want to go down with the ship……HAHA
Forgot to mention and then I will go away for awhile to do errands - even if some of the things we think are true but can not find evidence - it STOPS them from continuing what they are doing for fear that it might leak out and exposed - example - all the donations to BO - where did they come from - now that people are becoming exposed to it - isn’t it interesting that he is not raising the amount of money he did before ……..hmmmm.
#425 Are you saying they got it from this blog or one of the others, then my question is where did the blogger get his/her info from? I sure hope we did not start just a rumor, that’s not going to help our case unless it turns out to be true.
I just skimmed through the posts and haven’t had time to read through all of them yet — so forgive me if this has been mentioned before. But I keep obsessing over this story:
http://countusout.wordpress.com/2008/07/07/hitler-rally-delegate-hostages-wannabe-jfk-speech-2
Combined with the fact that the birthcertifcatenow.com site is no where to be found… but a google search did reveal this page.
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2042198/posts
I also read an article someone posted here yesterday about an FBI presence is planned for Denver. My thought it this: Maybe it’s time we contact the FBI and make we are working with them. Isn’t it a form of terrorism to use the threat of his riotous thugs to threaten the delegates in how they vote? Isn’t the threat on the person who ran the birthcertificate site an act of terrorism? Hasn’t it been proven that terrorism doesn’t exist just from the outside but can most certainly be a cause for concern from within and the political party could be pawns in making it happen (whether knowingly or unknowingly).
And maybe the FBI would also be interested in the article posted by mcr #396 on the fact that a lot of BO’s donations may be coming from Arab investors and others outside the country. This man in my opinion should be arrested. But at the very least — the FBI should be investigating (which includes something as simple as his birth certificate problem too).
Any thoughts? Am I nuts?
Great letter Murphy…I hope it makes a difference!! BO is such a joke!! Definitely trying every con game to get elected!! I will be faxing the letter as soon as I get to work. I e-mailed for posters and can’t wait to put them up!! I hope the t-shirts I ordered about 2 1/2 weeks ago get here before the posters do so I can wear it while putting the posters up. Has anyone received their’s yet?

I think this is really newsworthy. This is a big deal!! I think this needs to be verified and to get out there as BIG story. Morning Joe would be another place to e-mail it.

I’ve been thinking this morning. We’ve all heard that there is talk about not having a first vote at the convention. Does that mean that not only are we not counting all the vote in Florida and Michigan, but we’re also not counting another 18 million voters? Just curious.
I just received another letter asking for $$ for Denver.
This one is from one of my favorites - Donna herself!
Here is my reply:
Donna -
“What is the matter? Has your Golden Boy lost his Midas Touch?
MLK will be turning over in his grave when and IF his legacy is desecrated at the acceptance speech on the anniversary of his speech. To think that BO is ‘dreaming’ of going to ‘The Mountain Top’ is nothing less than blasphemy . SHAME ON ALL OF YOU! Especially those for whom he (MLK) had given his life to make yours better. You have set the civil rights progress back for generations with your manipulation of the democratic process.
You, Dean, Pelosi, Reid and other DNC Cronies have bankrupted the unDemocratic Party in more ways than one. I have received at least eight similar solicitation in the past ten days. I will not support this or any other endeavor that rejects my vote and selects my nominee. I look forward to the further demise of the unDemocratic Party.
I have given to retire Senator Clinton’s debt and will continue to give until she is no longer obligated and is being held hostage. I look forward to HER acceptance speech in Denver.
I will not contribute or vote for BO now or ever!

Great letter!
#447 - gordana.hill08:)
Great response!! I love it. I guess, however, you will get back a “stop the hate” email.. LOL.
441 I know McCain and RNC doubled him in May DNC is broke. remember th eletter from Hillary supporters?? Obamas minions said they would double their amount. oops. Now they are worried about convention running millions over and DNC has no money oops again. He is running in Rep. states to show his greatness. He will be in debt bigger than Hillary I heard he is now useing more than bringing in but McCain is stashing some. Neat!!If not Hillary we need McCain.
#447 gordana.hill08
Good letter. I think when we discuss BO and MLK comparisons — we should also focus and remind BO supporters that MLK made it a point not to focus on the color of a man’s skin but the content of his character — and with that thought in mind — BO obviously displays NO CHARACTER OR CONTENT. He is a disgrace to all the MLK stands for.
Vadaryl - they did not say which blog they read it on - or who the blogger was - but they are familiar with pumas - I do not want to press them more as I need them for the convention.
447- Gordana
Awesome great job and to the one and only Brazile she will read that one i am sure LOL
Go read Riverdaughter at the Confluence. and the post by Garychapelhill just below it.

http://hypocrisy.com/2008/07/07/maureen-dowd-ny-times-editorial-a-hoax/
“OBAMA’S TROUBLING INTERNET FUND RAISING”
A purported New York Times editorial written by Maureen Dowd published in the New York Times on June 29th is a hoax being widely circulated on the internet.
For weeks rumors have been rampant about an extravagant scheme that raised $200,000,000 for Obama by using slave computers to debit credit accounts in China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, etc. The debit is almost immediately credited back and the amounts mysteriously paid to the involved processors / banks from shadow source.
Asside from the fact there is no evidence that has happened; or that foreign Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have been flooding Obama’s websites, and that soliciting or accepting contributions from a “non-green card” foreign national is a one-way ticket to court, and would be one of the dumbest political moves imaginable turns out this is simply a hoax.
#452 jane-pa:
that would be just desserts if he ended up not having enough money after the convention. they haven’t been bragging about their fund raising lately so you are on the right track.
Daily tracking Gallup Poll: 47% Bo, 43% McCain. 2 points within the margin of error.
Anna7000 and I have decided we like the term applied to those who have not decided “The Uncommitted”. It has an eerie, distant, unknown feeling to it.
Out of ours e-mails back and forth we came up with a cartoon, which one of us will make: a picture of people dressed in black, roaming the white house with blank stares, a small golden plate under the picture The Uncommitted
Good morning PUMAS! What a grate week end.
A Layperson’s description of Signs of a Very Dysfuntional (sick family) System:
1) Worship the “savior of the family” to the minimalization of others’ role in the family
2) Keep the family secrets at all cost
3) Exclude, diminish, reject, shame for “individuality”, being “disloyal to the family”, unsupportive of the system - no matter how unhealthy, unfair, harmful to individual family members
4) Defend inconsistencies, question the “sanity” of ones objecting
5) Lead by an iron fist, change the rules as you go
6) View the one’s who become most ill as a result of the system as the weaker, a burden on the family - ignore them, call them whiners, tell them to get over it.
7) View Domination as a sport - Power over the family as the trophy - fear can be a powerful suppressant
9) Have no clue, do not care, refuse to believe that the “family” is very sick - until it’s too late
etc., etc., etc.
The Democratic Party, anyone?
Goalucard ~ whatever you are organizing, please count me in. I just haven’t been able to spend as much time reading these threads as I’d like. And it’s so hard to catch up !! I’ll keep checking in when I can …
I emailed my copies of the great letter posted above to Dean and BO. I felt queasy going onto the annointed one’s website. ick.
I’ll make my PUMA bus donation on payday - Friday.
Keep on keepin’ on, PUMAs. You’re awesome.

The DNC is very worried about finaces I think, that is there reason for bringing Hillary in to fund raise for Obama but of course that won’t work.
I think the collaedge kids was his bigest donnars and colledge is out now and parents are not dishing out the money now.
I am not uncommitted, I am very commited to NOOBAMA. GO HILLARY……
Faxed my letters to ObaDean.

I think McCain’s supporters were a fair piece of his donars in order to ensure Hillary would not be on the ballot. Well, this will most likely come back to bite McCain and his supporters in the a$$.
All I know is I am not contributing to him or the DNC, I didn’t for the primarys either only to Hillary at her site, I told DNC I would not donate unless I was sure obama was not the nom.
#423 goalucard-

BO has obviously never lived with a menopausal woman if he thinks he can influence the thermostats!
#423 Dracula,
I’m in.
Not only is *61 flip-flopping is getting him into trouble, well so does his lies. He and his ardent followers keep insisting that his donations are mostly from $5-$20 donars “true representative people”. SO I guess they are thinking “his record breaking fundraising is because of my $5, so that’s all I have to give, and if so many of us have donated like he said, then I don’t have to”.

Hi,
Is the stadium speech designed to subvert the Roll Call? It seems very difficult for ANY delegate to go against the party line amidst 76,000 people! It’s one thing to do it within a relatively party-people setting with long time democrats & fellow delegates as audience; definitely a whole different atmosphere when doing so in a general public audience!
Thanks, #237 JBJD!
Good to know about the distinction between “hero worship” and “hero-worship”. Looks like we have all too many occasions now to use those words.
I trust you reworked the letter before you faxed it.
As much as I like good writing, I also realize that uprisings are not refined affairs. The revolution will most likely not be spelt correctly

Interesting twist on donations
If you donate to the DSCC today - even as little as $5 - you will be entered into a contest that could win you and a guest a trip to Denver for the 2008 Democratic National Convention in August.
#456 Murphy…Great article…Something fishy seems to be going on….doesn’t cancel but phones in??? It sounds like BO is self-destructing…I think it is a matter of time…but not soon enough!! Can’t wait to get my t-shirts!!!
#466 wontbackdown…I work in mental health…I am concerned about BO’s early upbringing…a lot of dysfunction…radical parents…loss and abandonment by both father and mother…raised by “typical white” people who used racial slurs….anger with the white race….radical angry pastor and wife….definitely dysfunctional!!! And he wants to be President??? Many of my colleagues who are democrats are also very concerned!!
RE: EMOTIONS, CONFUSION, UNCERTAINTY
Don’t have time to read all these posts - too busy. But, caught a few in the very beginning of the thread, I think from Dances with Pumas and Matt. Here’s my 2 cents on your sentiments: I think we are all extremely enraged, frustrated, worried, focused so deeply on our movement and then pulling back and wondering what, if anything, it will all amount to. If we listen to the news, it’s usually discouraging. All I can say is this: I think that in life you can never go wrong if you follow your passion and trust your instincts. You may get what you want. You may not. But, at the end of the day when you put your head down on your pillow to go to sleep at night, you can live with yourself, knowing you did what you felt was right. No matter what happens this election year, we will survive. History is long. People have lived through every imaginable disappointment and horror, political or otherwise. My personal gut feeling is that our movement is full of deeply passionate people who can clearly articulate why we feel what we do, but our group is probably relatively small compared to the rest of the electorate. I’ve been part of political actions when I was so deeply entrenched that everything seemed possible, within reach, even if a stretch, only to realize in hindsight how tunnel visioned I was and how completely unrealistic the goals were. On the other hand, there have been other movements I’ve been a part of (as I’m sure many on this blog have) that truly changed the course of history, be it protests against the Vietnam war, the civil rights movement, the women’s movement and so forth. Sometimes things change dramatically, more often it’s a process over time, other times things just fade away. Whether our efforts will bear any fruit, who knows? But for now, we’re all doing what we feel we need to do to put our best foot forward. I strongly doubt Clinton is going to win the nomination. But I strongly believe we have ignited something that is going to continue to evolve over the course of time, at least up to the general election and perhaps, beyond. Think short term: the convention. Think long term: the GE. Think longer term: political activism to keep our voices heard in DC no matter how things unfold. We’re working like dogs as if we’re in a sprint competition because the convention is looming ahead. But the way I see it, ultimately, this is a marathon. Let’s work each day and pace ourselves so we don’t burn out. Meanwhile, thank God we’re all here for each other to lend support.
#216 Dances..I will have a car too. but public trans. in Denver is very good. We will have to have set up a meeting place.

You say you want a revolution
Well you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it’s evolution
Well you know
We all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don’t you know you can count me out
Don’t you know it’s gonna be alright
Alright Alright
You say you got a real solution
Well you know
We’d all love to see the plan
You ask me for a contribution
Well you know
We’re doing what we can
But when you want money for people with minds that hate
All I can tell you is brother you have to wait
Don’t you know it’s gonna be alright
Alright Alright
You say you’ll change the constitution
Well you know
We all want to change your head
You tell me it’s the institution
Well you know
You better free your mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao
You ain’t going to make it with anyone anyhow
Don’t you know know it’s gonna be alright
Alright Alright
GO PUMAS!

Yes!!!! Do share your reply from Ms. Brazile if you get one.
Anna7000 — beautifully said and very wise.
I think Sir Bob Geldof will be the next person to endorse *61 and do a live concert to fundraise for him
#21 DancesWithPumas I also think Hillary has a slim chance of overthrowing *61 at the convention, only because I doubt if the needed delegates are willing to put themselves in the spotlight for the fall of *61 and the DNC. I do have hope that since *61 seems to be showing some of his true beliefs, the flip-flop contest has begun. If he continues and his ratings stay the same or slip in the polls, he might be forced to offer Hillary the VP position. Now everyone here is against that, but I am not. Who is in a better position to take over either as the candidate if the Repubs bring more of his dirty deals to the forground, or if he is forced to drop out if things get bad enough? Hillary! If he were to win and be impeached? Hillary! I want Hillary there to pick up the pieces when he self-destructs.
PUMAs my mind can not be changed on this. I will vote for *61 if he puts Hillary on the ticket, and this is why. I don’t want McCain to have the Whitehouse for 4 years.

LATEST BO FRAUD
Hey - Don’t Worry, BO does not have a platform yet and when he finally gets one, it is going to be yours! (us “ordinary people”)
I just got the following email from BO. It is addressed to RU as he apparently got my email address from a post where I used the name RU Kidding.
RU –
Every four years, the Democratic Party assembles a platform that outlines the party’s position on a number of issues.
Traditionally, the drafting of the platform is not open to ordinary people.
This year, that’s going to change.
For two weeks in July, people all across America will hold Platform Meetings in their own communities to discuss the issues and share their input. The outcome of these meetings will be reviewed by the Drafting Committee as it creates the final Platform.
No political experience is required. Your thoughts and experiences are all that matter, and they will shape a platform that — like this campaign — is owned by the people.
Sign up to host or attend a Platform Meeting in your neighborhood:
http://my.barackobama.com/listening
This year, ordinary people like you will gather in their homes, community centers, places of worship, and even coffee shops to discuss the issues that matter to them and help decide what should be at the heart of the Democratic platform for change.
The input we get from these meetings will help shape the platform at the Democratic Convention in August.
Platform Meetings are a great way to connect with fellow supporters and help write the next chapter in the history of the Democratic Party.
We’ll make sure you have all the resources and support you need to succeed. All you need to provide are your ideas for America and your hunger for change.
To get started in your community, just log onto My.BarackObama.com and go to our Platform Meetings page. (If you don’t have a My.BarackObama.com account, creating one is simple and easy.)

I hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity to make your voice heard in the political process.
Thank you for all that you do,
Barack

Excellent post. I agree.

No disrespect intended. You are certainly free to vote how your heart guides you and I will fight for your right to do so. But I can never vote for BO regardless if Hillary is on the ticket or not. I think his corrupt ways will bring her good name down and the country will suffer and there will be the chance of 8 years under his rule — or possibly more if he succeeds in dismantling the democracy of this country and all the rules that go with it. There will be no checks and balances with his goons running the show. I am deeply committed to voting against Obama no matter who he picks as VP — even if it’s Hillary. She deserves to be top of the ticket — not second. And I will stand up for that and not be fooled by BO’s insincere attempts to win our votes.
Hi–wrote this but didn’t get chance to post-it’s feedback for Denver & Puma collateral discussed a few ago (posting it in case it contributes;):
Here’s some feedback on proposed Puma Convention Props;)
T-Shirt color–YELLOW: i likey (but a deep, rich yellow, nothing lite or pastely, bleah) ok, personal preference is red or black ,but Yellow is a great choice for this occasion–bright, impactful, attention-getting & thus irresistible for news photogs;)
Along with all the other symbolism behind yellow, as posted, it also is the color of remembrance, hope for a lost one (tie a yellow ribbon..;) Definitely not refer to anything ab death(!)-please, let us keep this uplighting! If we are to include this yellow symbolism, it should focus on its traditional meaning & use–as an expression of profound feeling, a sense of loss, but alongside hopefulness for good outcome too!
Yellow is also gender, age appropriate to represent all our members (not withstanding ‘yellow’ apa; but we’re used to it;).
BRACELETS–someone mentioned earlier ab silicone/rubber message bracelets…? I like this idea–it is cheap for us to order & public to buy (i think, right?), thus easily distributed in mass quantities for maximum coverage.
Also some of us or the public might not want the investment required for a t-shirt or cup–or, they might support HRC but don’t feel fully comfortable blaring it so obviously in their work, neighborhood, etc.
SO, ==> BUTTONS & BRACELETS (& Big STICKERS too!) are the “biggest bang for our buck” and people friendly & totable;) They are gender, age friendly to wear by all, too. Plus, if there are any “leaners,” they might balk at buying, wearing a shirt or a large sign, but would likely be comfortably nudged into wearing a sticker, button, bracelet;)
As for silicone BRACELET COLOR — I had thought deep, right, bright Purple would be symbolic (bc it stands for inclusiveness (blue & red), also womens’ rights, reproductive freedom (NOW & co. colors are a lighter, lavender-ish color;) Again, no pastels but a vibrant shade of purple or indigo…HOWEVER, if the t-shirt is to be Yellow, then bracelets/buttons/stickers etc should likewise coordinate for unified message. BUT, yellow is iconic with L.Armstrong’s “Live Strong” bracelet (btw, check out his new Live Strong collection with Nike!:)
It could be a darker or different tone of yellow…any graphic designers out there to weigh in?;)
Finally–regarding possible Puma slogans, signs, posters—I urge us NOT to go for any message/slogan/talking points for signs, placards, etc., that are solely about ANTI-BO & even about “Disunity” & ANTI-DNC.
PLEASE MAKE this ONLY & ALL things “PRO-HILLARY CLINTON” & “ELECTING HRC NOW” and slogans/signs, MEDIA talking points like, “WHY HRC?” and “WHY 2008?” and others of similar tone, passion, inspiration, hope, optimism!!:o)
If one absolutely feels s/he *must* protest so publicly against DNC/BO, please consider making the comment/slogan/chants much more about PRINCIPLE & RULES/LAWS–perhaps something “PRO-Bill of Rights/Constitution/Amendment#/FDR Quote/Etc.” which will refer to & critique DNC/BO effectively without the explicit, personalized words/slogans.
If it is related to these valid principles, it will be more likely publicized by the media & far more respected as valid points of protest by delegates, media AND general public…we do not want to alienate the public:( We want & need them on our side! This must be a grassroots call from the people.
Unless our case is made with reason & laid out step by step in such a way that clearly conveys the *Righteousness* of Puma & co. mission, we risk appearing as nothing more than opportunistic ‘troublemakers’ by average joe/jane.
There are other “refining”;) issues to this point, which I’d like to be able to post later. For now, these are My thoughts & my appeal to fellow righteous HRC supporters!:)
Thank YOU!!
The more they spent on the Demo convention, the less chance they have $ left in GE. Like the spending style he has been having, tax payers will sure suffer more than they would with McCain.
Retiring Clinton’s Debt
First of all *61 and the DNC will blame her for everything, regardless. That seems to be a fact of life.
Secondly, I am speculating so don’t quote me…I imagine if push came to shove she could use some more of her own move to pay off the debt. She is only trying to get the money back that was not her money. So although they are already out about $11 million of her own money I don’t think there is any rule that she can’t kick in some more of her own. I am sure Senator Clinton would rather not since it was such a big chunk but if that is the only way she can go to the convention, then maybe she will. I hope she would wait until the very last minute to do it.
I find it appalling that they would “threaten” her that she would be banned from the convention because of her debt. Of course, we that is the only way they know how to operate. Oh, and how dumb do they think we and other supporters of Senator Clinton are to just jump in and start donating to the DNC??
Pres. and Senator Clinton are pretty darn smart. I imagine they have a pretty good idea what they are doing. I would guess that the DNC trying to keep Senator Clinton from the convention has nothing to do with the debt but instead they are afraid what will happen if she is at the convention!!

Your post is worth much more than two cents. Thank you for that expression of how many of us feel and why we do this.
Anna7000 Well said! Stopping the Viet Nam war didn’t take a few months and many were killed, hurt and made a difference when they stuck to it. Civil Rights movement was ugly, but worth the effort. Womens rights are taking longer and represents half of the population, all races included. This is part of the Women’s Rights movement defending Hillary and all minorities at the same time. To not keep up the protest pace just allows the next election to treat women (and others) with total disrespect. It’s about doing what is right, not just for white men, African American men, but everyone that is qualified to run for president. It is about having a small number of people taking away the rights of the individual voter. Having a few delegates decide the election instead of the voters. This is a long train that started years ago, it is full speed ahead and all of us are on it. You can jump off if it gets to difficult, but it will continue. What is great about being an American isn’t if we are truthfully directed or informed by the media, or the DNC, but that we FIGHT FOR WHAT IS RIGHT, despite the hardships.
Anna7000
I agree as well.
I personally choose to believe Hillary can still be the nominee. Putting blinders on and moving toward that goal is my focus right now. Perhaps I’m in some form of denial, but I also think there is tremendous value to setting the bar high and not giving up on the nomination.
The long-term goals of reform are fueled by a full-out commitment to this short-term goal. If we tell ourselves its not really a possibility, then much of our early momentum will be thwarted. The urgency of this set of circumstances is a gift.
It’s possible Hillary doesn’t want the nomination under these conditions, but she hasn’t sent a clear message in that regard. If she releases her delegates, then that’s a different story.
So agree with the long-term vision, but I’m voting for putting side-blinders on for the next two months.

Isn’t it nice when a dictator is calling Obama bad. IF a dictator is saying your a lying piece of crap, you must be bad. No one likes Obama except the kool-aid drinkers.

Thank God I am not alone on this site! Thanks.

Obama caught attacking the national anthem, claiming it sounds threatening to foreigners and considering a change. To what? The Black National Anthem that lady was singing last week? Obama is a piece of crap!

It is widely believed Obama has already offered Hillary the VP spot on the ticket. She’s never confirmed it though.
I would be shocked if she took it. Especially after the events of the past two weeks.
Hi Guys,
You know, it occurred to me…..If *61 can run for President, I think I have a good shot too. I think I will send my request to the DNC. It will go something like this:
Dear Chairman Dean:
I would like to officially request from the DNC that you consider me, Mimi Pl…., to run for the Democratic Nominee for the President of the United States of America in the year 2012.
I am an American Citizen living in the United States - yes I was born here, see my Birth Certificate attached. I am currently 41 years old and am a Hispanic Female, which is good because ALL of the Hispanics and Females will absolutely vote for me.
My experience to lead the Country is as follows:
For the last 20 years I have helped kids get off drugs and have often been successful. Therefore, I have ideas of how we can handle the Drug problem facing our nation’s youth. That’s it. But, don’t worry - I can wing it. I’ll just agree to whoever runs against me and copycat their answers. I am also very good and researching speeches on the Internet, so I’m sure I can find some good ones. I don’t have a particular platform, but that’s ok - I can just flip flop on a bunch of issues and since I am cute and can get people psyched they won’t care.
I am also gay, but don’t worry - I can deny that. Any evidence they find won’t matter anyways because I am just that darn cute!
I am a spiritual person but not religious. Don’t worry, if anyone asks I’ll just tell them I am a true Christian and deny that I have been involved in any other Religious arenas and if they did find me in one, I will just tell them that I didn’t agree with them and I wasn’t really listenign anyways. Trust me - they’ll buy it. They just want different - and I am it!
I believe in Democracy, in the will of the people, so we have to make sure enough people don’t find out the truth about me - I’m counting on you for this one DNC!
Last qualification I should mention is that I have been a Democrat for 25 years. Oh wait, sorry, that doesn’t matter.
Anyways, hope you will consider me. I stand for CHANGE. I don’t care what change, any change will do. Maybe I can just keep changing my whole run for Presidency, that oughta round up everyone.
Thank you for your time.
Mimi P….
PS - If Hillary Clinton is running in 2012, please disregard this request as I may beat her and it seems lots of people kind of like her.
What do you think guys?
Today’s Gallup Poll has BO in the virtual tie category again when taking into account the margin of error.
http://www.gallup.com/poll/108700/Gallup-Daily-Obama-46-McCain-44.aspx
Now here’s hoping the poll starts to slowly reflect McCain taking a lead.
added a small p.s. to the letter above. If you’ve already faxed your letter, no biggie. If not, get crackin!
Here’s the p.s., thanks to Diva2 for the suggestion!
p.s. Since it seems the only reason you ever contact voters like me is to ask me for money, I’d also like to add that as a member of Puma PAC, I will NOT donate any money to the DNC or any DNC-related group between now and November.
A suggestion to add to the letter that besides not voting for *61 that we will NOT contribute to the DNC and especially so they can put on an inappropriat rock-like concert.
Murphy - Sent you an email on this, just a thought.

Dear Pumas…I’ve read innumerable posts here written by people excessively engaged in fantasizing “Joan de Arc” Hillary riding into the Convention on a white horse with a flaming sword with her army of angels in order to snatch the nomination from Obama…
Look folks..you’re dreaming and wasting your time.. wake up..it ain’t gonna happen!!..
Don’t get me wrong I was a Hillary supporter and voted for her.. BUT..Don’t forget Hillary threw in the towel and is now on Obama’s team she’s kissed his ring and has beseeched the Obama campaign for money to pay off her campaign debts ..so let’s get real here..
HILLARY RAN A CRAPPY CAMPAIGN and her backstabbing advisors weren’t worth a you-know-what..HILLARY BLEW IT…HUBRIS and overconfidence..it’s a story as old as time..
I think our time and energy would best be served by throwing our support behind John McCain..because at this point he is the ONLY FIREWALL left between Obama and the Presidency..
so lets have more discussion of how we are going to get John McCain into the Presidency..
#513 MURPHY Thanks!

Thanks for the support. It is not my goal to step on anyone else’s right to disagree… so I get worried if voicing my own thoughts will offend others.

ALOHAPUMA RE: BLINDERS
Loved your thoughts. Denial is a necessary defense throughout life (only becomes a problem with it starts to impede functioning). So I say, more power to you to put the blinders on and full speed ahead. I think we’re all doing that to varying degrees, otherwise the work just gets too hard. Maybe someone could design some PUMA blinders!

Hello Fellow PUMAS, I just finished yesterdays comments.
From last night. #688 Seattlegirl. I sent an e-mail to Glenn Beck.
Would you be kind enough to tell me what network and what time he is on?
I only listen to Lou Dobbs on CNN. I get too upset when I listen to all of the other news about the “chosen one”.
Very bad for my bp.
I have given up on sending letters to the editor of our local Republican paper. I have sent three now explaining PUMAPAC, and what we are about..
For several days after I sent a letter, their were no local letters in the paper; just editorials from other newspapers.
This community is so hopeless. Too old to more now..
This is our little corner of the world.
Hope everyone else is doing more for the cause than I seem to be.

MURPHY:Riverdaughter’s cheeleaders and other football metaphors and the football stadium venue for the coronation reminded me of an old protest we, thousand s of us, did years ago when the New Orleans Saints were in one of their especially stinky cycles: A good 70% of the fans who went to the games, put brown paper grocery bags over their heads, with holes cut out for eyes and a mouth: Written across the “forehead” of the bags: “Da Aint’s”. I think I will make one just for that night and wear it here! Wish I were able to go to Denver!
From downstairs—-Okay Puma family here is a real contribution I can make. How to “stealth” your computers. I have used this program for a couple of years and have had zip, nada problem with it. Makes your computer invisible on the web and if they can’t find you they can’t harass you. Ready…Go to the Tor website and download the Vidalia bundle. It takes a little fiddling with to configure but, not major. You can choose to just use the stealth part and not join as a server, your choice. This is a linux program just like Firefox, in fact Firefox has a tor button that you can download. Don’t use Firefox browser? You may want to consider it as it is far more secure than IE. Happy invisibility cloaking!! You can also go to Port Authority website and see if you are fully cloaked or not. It is really cool. Even buggy winblows can be made to totally disappear!

I went and checked, the first page of the site has changed since I was there last. This link:

el puma — I think you’ve wandered onto the wrong site.
#515 el puma I totally disagree with your statement, every word. You are free to speak your mind here and to vote for McCain. I only would hope that you respect many on this board admire Hillary and think she ran a great campaign…especially with all the darts that were constantly thrown at her along the way.
#515 elpuma re: WHERE TO PUT OUR EFFORTS
I appreciated your thoughts. But, I think that between now and the convention most of us are focused on various issues pertaining to the convention. I do believe that once the convention is over and if Obama is indeed the nominee, then the movement will redefine it’s focus and I would expect that many will start to work for McCain. Some are already overlapping and doing a bit of both right now. I think that as Democrats (or former Democrats) many of us feel we need to do what we need to do with respect to the convention, the DNC, and yes, Clinton’s candidacy. On the latter point, I do agree that she did pretty much abandon the ship by giving the speech she gave and then campaigning with Obama. (I don’t go there too much because, quite frankly it tics me off, but I’m not naive and she is a Democrat who’s doing what she feels she needs to do with respect to her party and her own political interests.) I have written to her/her campaign to express my profound disappointment that she has joined forces with him to help get him elected, for whatever that was worth.

EL PUMA’S REMARKS
I don’t think this poster deserves our wrath. I also felt like, hhmmmm, is this person really a Hillary supporter? But, I also know that among the many who are against Obama there are many schools of thought, many approaches, and different priorities. But, basically, I think it’s not rocket science. If anyone feels that doing this work that we’re doing is misguided, naive, or a waste of time, they needn’t bother themselves with it. And if anyone who is against Obama wants to throw themselves into McCain’s campaign, they’re free to do so. It sounds like el puma is one of those people. It’s ok. Ultimately, we don’t want Obama in office. We all have different approaches. I think we puma’s language and tone was a bit alienating in its sarcasm (which is why I think it’s best to steer clear of that way of communicating), but she’s/he’s doing his/her think. It’s ok. We’re ok. Let’s keep working today.
Oh, and one more bit of commentary (which I need for myself all the time as a reminder): It’s helpful to take a step back every now and again to make sure our energy and time is being spent wisely. It’s easy to get to spinning and the hours tick by and we’re getting worked up by the news, etc. But, we already have tons of info. Let’s make sure we put it to good use.
Anna 7000 - I was deeply disappointed too. I could hear all the rationalizations for it, but it was disappointing. I also choose to believe we will know all more about it as time goes on.
#484 Anna7000

No more comments on this for me.
Focus Please. It is a long time until November. Keep your eyes, ears and mind open and it will become clear what you need to do.
I see the priority now as fact finding and communication to the general public. We are up against the money machines of the world and our country is at stake. Who owns democracy?
We need to state our case. Often, patiently and with courtesy and respect for the opinions of others.
#545 HEYSANDY
Your post means so much to me. I haven’t looked at the latter group of yesterday’s posts very thoroughly. I’m really glad you read mine to you and no need for any of us to expain why we may feel tense or anything. We all have very full lives and this political ordeal is horrid and draining. We will inevitably step on each other’s toes and unintentionally cause feelings of hurt and anger. But, we’re all unified in the bigger sense. Proud to be your PUMA comrade as well!!!

Thanks Roxy. I sincerely fear Obama and what the corruption of his soul could do to this country. I am not a radical type personality, and never before voiced political thoughts to strangers, friends, or neighbors — but all of a sudden I feel as if our very way of life is threatened by this man. I don’t care if he nominates the Pope or Sister Teresa as VP — I will not vote for him. I love Hillary and think she is our only hope — but I see her in a place of reverse slavery if she’s under Obama’s thumb.

Anna7000, that’s why we have a very strict policy for keeping out trolls. Their comments are terribly distracting and even discouraging. Often, the first 2 or 3 comments from them will “seem” at least partially rational or friendly. But then, whammo! an argument and upset feelings ensue — clogging up the thread with anger, insults, and time-wasting introspection.
We are ACTION focused at Puma PAC. Our forums are for action related-discussion, motivation, information-sharing, and ideas.
We are not interested, nor do we have the time to argue the details of the past.
Rules:
No insulting other Pumas
No condescension or ridicule of other Pumas
No campaigning for john mccain
No sexism
No racism
No violence
No arguing for why Obama should be the nominee
Seems like a lot of rules, but really it’s not. This policy has worked wonderfully. Our threads are a real pleaseure to read thanks to the thousands of Pumas who comment and inspire us here every day — like you!

http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/188674.php
I have been lurking around all sorts of cyberholes looking for information on NoBama and started reading a sampling of comments on each one. Initially, Bamabots ruled but, especially this past week there has been a sea change in the comments section. Most commenters are NOT happy with the presumptious nominee. Just thought you Pumas would like to know. (Even if it is just our coalition it means we have a LOT of company.) Truthfully, I think more and more Americans are waking up!
Murphy…thanks for the rules and keeping the trolls out!! This is a great place to speak for what we believe in!
Thanks for the Gallup Poll site. *61 is really hurting in the polls. 3 point average all month…nothing to be proud of. The article also said some get a ‘bump’ up if they have a great convention. That must be the reason for the Rock Star push in the outdoor stadium. I wonder if he is wearing Elvis’ rhinestone suit too?
The Action Items are the day-to-day focus.
Now…not intending to stir any pots here…just an observation. We can loose focus very easily by “managing” the expressions of others on this board. We all have the same basic intentions and we all express ourselves and our grasp of the issues differently. I’m content to let Murphy draw the line between appropriate and inappropriate. So far she’s done a brilliant job of it.
560, I agree- Murphy you are doing a wonderful job.

#549 I think we need to forget the Hawaii bc for now. As I’ve stated before, my father’s bc was destroyed in a courthouse fire. He had to jump through hoops (affadavits from people who swore to birth time, place, date affadavits from people he grew up with etc.) but he was able to get a replacement bc. think it was a certificate of live birth but he got it when he was in his 40’s. My ex was born in the 40’s and his parents never had a bc registered so he too had to go through hoops and was able to have one produced when he was in his 30’s. What I’m saying is that whether true or not bo has managed to get a Hawaiian bc registered. whether he was truly born there is the question. some say given the 60’s (remember homes for unwed mothers, shipping off to relatives, feelings about iterracial marriages, etc) it’s possible he was born in Kenya. Even the Israelis are now checking into this.
I got an idea, if Obama wants to use a football stadium in Denver for his big speech on Aug 28th, why don’t all the PUMA’s and the other I won’t vote for Obama backers get together and use another ball park to voice our opinions about it at the same time. That’s something the media would have to give coverage to. It could be any ball park, but I would use a high profile city to do it in. Maybe DC, NY, Philly, LA, Texas
Thanks Murphy, just thought the troops might like to see those numbers. That is just your site correct? Then we have the numbers from the other sites as well?
#512 mzebest
Oh, this is SO very reassuring. I checked Gallup early this morning and found the 47-43 (BHO-McCain) poll, thinking it was for today (the numbers were actually from yesterday). I was so happy to see that for July 8, the numbers have shrinked in McCain’s favor (now only a 2-point lead). This is a very good sign!
BO is in a Catch 22, darned if you do and darned if you don’t situation. If he moves to the middle he is going to anger all of the moveon.org group and if he doesn’t middle America will not vote for him. He’s going to risk alienating the far left rationalizing that they have no other choice but to vote for him. Kind of risky and he’s not doing it very smoothly showing him for just the politician that he is.
Oh wow! I very rarely get ANY email from the DNC any more but just got this. Should set some of you PUMAs on fire!
Your thoughts and experiences are all that matter, and they will shape a platform that — like this party — is owned by the people.

Will Clinton get a roll call at the convention
Hall // July 8, 2008 at 1:29 pm
hillis44 // July 8, 2008 at 1:33 pm
One of the reasons they may be doing this is that it will limit the ability of the Clinton supporters to mount an effective dissent. In a closed setting like the convention center, the supporters are divided about 50/50, and those who don’t support Obama would have their voices magnified. Partly, this is due to acoustics. The voices will, quite literally, be magnified, and make the opposition seem greater. By moving it to Invesco field, they can stack the crowd with loyalists. It also wouldn’t surprise me if they had a rock band as a warm up act to draw the crowds in like they did in Portland.
See this following:
The Wall Street Journal is reporting on negotiations for Hillary roll call.
http://tinyurl.com/6nuvtb
Obama.

The problem with that idea here is we have some many “characters”(myself included) roaming around here among us natives, I’m not sure anyone would note the difference! I will do it anyway!- I think some kindred souls will love it. Whether they do or not, it will give me great ironic pleasure.

Meanwhile, a quick comment on the number of hits to the web site. Number of hits is a seperate thing from actual members or those who take action. Ii think the number of hits is a meaningful number, but not one that’s indicative of how strong we are.
Hi,
I agree with everyone regarding Anna7000’s #484! For me, I still am working on getting those delegates to reconsider in time bf the Convention (altho a scheduled 76000 people-attended event would be very difficult for any of the delegates & party leaders to go against!)
Btw, why isn’t it clear to them that a significant degree of the soaring excitement & support are due to — at looong last, finally!-The END OF BUSH/CHENEY Administration!!! That is also why the primary season kicked off SO early!! The People could hardly *wait* to get them out;) Seriously. And of course BO speeches/talking points (bc he really didn’t have a platform at that point, did he?) were exactly the cipher for all this overwhelming, zealous, cathartic, jubilant, giddy *relief,* burning *need,* almost unbearable-can’t-hardly-wait *anticipation* of this long-awaited, long-suffered, and oh-so-welcome change! His words are what expressed all that the people were itching to do & against the endless outrages of Bush/Cheney & Co. That was really serendipity in his favour; and of course an opportunistic self-labeling as *the* change agent going forward (tho who wouldn’t have, really;). (Elections, in essence, are “change” itself! It wouldn’t occur to the others that they had to wait, go back, speak slowly;) & explicitly declare & ‘convince’ these GenY people that all this is really about ‘change’) Anyway, just why no one has ever made this point during the primaries seems more support of collusion btn DNC, media, etc. to get BO in office from the start. Really, it is all that much more amazing how successful HRC was, considering all that was thrown at her to derail her campaign! I imagine a lot of hair pulling in their back rooms as she continued to stand up:) They had to finally resort to ‘poisoning the well,’ resorting to the SDs to turn against their own.
Am absolutely behind supporting HRC in retiring her debt & How dare the DNC even toss out the idea of banning her from the Convention bc of outstanding debt?! What precedence is this? As for BO donors’ reluctance or those shrieking it’s buying her donors–It is COMMON PRACTICE for the leading, presumptive Candidate to help pay off the losing candidate’s campaign debts. BO has already done this for Bill Richardson & John Edwards (in time for their endorsements;)–but again, this is the way; public just not as aware of it bf this election, where every little detail is pored over & debated;)
I support HRC’s debt reduction; BUT a thought occurred…Should she actually be threatened & then BANNED from her own party’s Convention–IMAGINE the PUBLIC BACKLASH & PUBLIC SUPPORT, energizing them to ACT;) With such a groundswell of support for HRC, it could finally be enough for the DNC to actually listen, act, on behalf of the people! Or at least open the door for transparent discussion of why/why not…! Craven cowards & insecure liars fer sure, scurrying to do whatever it takes to build an iron-clad, super duper reinforced ‘firewall’ (& moat;) to hold up against any ’siege’ up to the Convention & Nov for their candidate (enuff fortress metaphor;)
If bo thinks his vocal violent protestors aren’t going to be at invesco he’d better think again. I personally think it’s going to be a security nightmare and would advise all PUMAs to stay away. The exits out of the place are not very friendly. For a virtually new stadium I always wondered where the minds were at should it have to be evacuated quickly. Long ramps to go down that weave back and forth.

Honestly — I swear - I had not heard that soundbite nor seen that article. I’m at work and will have to wait until I get home to listen. But I said what I said because it seems obvious that Obama is a racist. He’s about reverse racism and making whitey pay for any perceived injustices against blacks. The sad part is that he’s been extremely successful in being divisive (the word he loves to use when denying his role with his racists associates) — and in addition — he’s set us back in time with regards to progress on racism and sexism. Taking into account these thoughts — it seems natural to jump to the idea that Obama is taking great pleasure in making Hillary jump whenever he says “Jump.” So to me — it’s not that far away from a master-slave relationship.

The spectacle of a rapturous welcome for Sen. Clinton would be irresistable to television and could embarrass Sen. Obama.
**********
OK…can I be sarcastic…..phaaleeezzzeee!!!!!
We CERTAINLY don’t want to embarrass Senator Obama now do we. Good heavens NO! Let’s silence and further disenfranchise millions of voters instead!
This news of Clinton possibly being banned from the convention is new to me. Is it corroborated or rumor. In any case, if it’s in the works, you know, it may be time for HER (not just US) to take a stand.
#568 Taffy
Call me crazy, but it sounds to me like *61 is doing this for 3 reasons:
1- To make it sound like he cares about the voters and wants their input on his platform.
2- He stole most of Hillary’s ideas during the debates and now he needs new ideas from others?
3- Once he has them in involved, he can try to hit them up for more money for his campaign.
4- Try to appease independents after stealing the election from Hillary, letting them think he is open minded.
Dream on *61, we have your number.
cyberfest #565 — yep that’s just us Puma PAC members!
And dont forget how many MILLIONS of voters who dont blog there are out there who agree with our message and our purpose.
Ooops, 3 or 4 or more.
#583 BillieJo
That was cute
Biilie Jo there was a donate link at the bottom. I’m also getting very paranoid about “him” host or attend an event, add input to change DNC and you’re on his list. Easy to find activists against him in this type of setting BEFORE the convention.
Hillary is supposed to be a strong person. I cannot imagine her keeping quiet if a roll call or having her on the ballot is her right to do so.
It is impossible that she gave it all up including all her rights - she would not drink the Kool Aid just to tow party lines. That is not the Hillary the world knows.
I pray that there is a God who will right what is wrong.

this is an iffy idea but do you think they would really stop anti Obama people from comeing in? I post to people once in that voting booth its you and God dont tell anyone who you voted for tell them what you have to.
Maybe this could be used here. Few thousand pretend to be for Obama and when he starts change buttons???
If they won’t let Hillary in then she can attend one of those stadiums I suggested and we can have a roll call there.
#492 BillieJo,
I am another who will not vote for Obama even if Clinton is on the ticket. I feel that doing so would be putting my stamp of approval on the tumultuous and undemocratic primary process we’ve all just experienced. My conscience will not allow me to do that.
My vote is my weapon against Obama and his surrogates who sullied the reputations of President and Senator Clinton with their trumped-up allegations of racism. It is my scream of outrage against the misogyny and sexism that ran rampant, unchecked and patently ignored by the so-called “leaders” of the Democratic Party. It is my disdainful protest against the backroom insider deals and delegate intimidation which resulted in the selection of Barack Obama as the presumptive nominee.
My vote carries the fervent hope that the party suffers a stunning defeat this election year and is forced to restaff the DNC and reform the primary process.
There are absolutely no circumstances under which Obama can have my vote.
There was also a graphic included of a table with chirs around it, his symbol on the table, and underneath it said “Help shape the Democratic Party’s Platform for Change” with “for” in italics and under that GET INVOLVED
LOL ok I said iffy- sorry getting punchy I guess.
18 million votes does not include the countless who may have stayed home as they were told repeatedly that obama won. nor the number that if given any of the info regarding his dubious associations would have voted differently. anybody know the number of voting age people are in the USA. total pop I believe is just over 300 mil

I won’t vote even with Hillary on the ticket because I feel it will be another insult to her. They are going to try to use her to get more money and switch voters back. I hear the question every day how could you not vote with her on the ticket if you back her? Their policies are so alike and she has backed “him” Maybe that is part of the negotiations taking place…she DOESN”T want to be on the ticket!!!!

Thanks for posting the link to that article. If anyone has the energy or inclination another way of having a voice is to contact the media when they write articles of interest and express either our support and thanks, or our disagreement. The media is a HUGE factor in all of this as well know. In fact, I think someone posted yesterday (Sorry, forgot who) that the only reason Obama is tephlon is because of the media. I thought that was really astute. Yeah, nothing sticks cause they let him get away with it, get a free pass, etc.
Lettes to the Editor and the like are another way to get our message out. If your letter gets printed it gets a lot of exposure.
Gee, I would have never thought of that.

So the dnc sent you this…with instructions to go to his website. If this is a dnc sponsored meetings throughout the US, why ….was not all dems informed? What if you are a dem but dont support “him”? I think we should all call dnc about this…sounds like and action alert to me!
#567…Hillmania…besides all the “things” we know about BO and his politics, it appears that he has lost his own voice in this campaign. If I recall, Hillary found her voice after New Hampshire and it only got stronger. I doubt that BO ever had his own voice. Just an empty suit and that would be very bad for him to be POTUS. He will never be able to stand up to the pressures of the job. He can barely stand being interrupted while eating a waffle.
591 Antifish,
Request permission to use your words. You put it in a nutshell. Beautiful!
“HILLARY RAN A CRAPPY CAMPAIGN”
Exactly.
Senator Obama ran an extremely tight and effective campaign… even in the spending arena, he out spent Senator Clinton by a 3 to 1 margin.
and in spite of all of that, Senator Clinton still won.
Another area we might consider hitting is bo’s stance on the military. he has said he wants to up the number of army and marines. the only way he’s going to be able to do that is with a draft. and where will those people come from? Are people seeing the trend of him taking over the young people from 20’s down to the youngsters on his web site?
#597 Taffy
I agree and would also like to point out that the argument that Obama and Clinton’s policies are identical are also used by the media when interviewing us. I would like PUMAs to stand up to that assertion with, “No one knows what Obama’s true agenda is other than race baiting. So I do not see how their policies are the same.” Or whatever argument would be effective. The point is we need to take that argument head on and expose it for the falsehood that it is.

About that campaign: BO later “hired” the campaign manager that ran Clintons early campaign. That was the part of the campaign that was not run so well. What a coincidence!

I noticed Will Bower is answering the media on this question this way. We don’t know what Senator Obama is going to do. We can read the position papers, but there is no history to examine and we can’t take him at his word.

Win a date with Obama: illegal in Minnesota?
By David Brauer
Tuesday, July 8, 2008
Is Barack Obama’s website conducting an outlawed-in-Minnesota raffle? The Minnesota Gambling Control Board thinks giving new donors a chance to meet Obama backstage in Denver is worth investigating. The Strib’s Randy Furst says only nonprofits, not campaigns, can conduct raffles in Minnesota. The raffle standard: it costs money to participate, it’s based on luck of the draw, and something of value is at stake. Obama’s campaign sounds like it will argue the winners won’t be random.

Hi Murphy.
I agree that there are many many people that don’t frequent blogs and are active in the JSND coalition.
That’s a huge problem in my opinion.
I think using http://www.meetup.com or something similar is in our best interest to recruit new members and to put forth a ground operation to help with this goal.
We need to get addys of people not online so we can send pamphlets and other material supporting our causes. And, in turn, we may get additional donations so that we can continue some of our more far-reaching campaign activities (buses, billboards and other ads).
A group should be created for just that cause. Recruitment and evangelism of our initiatives.
On tv, you can interact by using SMS. (cell phones) Can we get some service for folks that want details. Do we have a hotline? Anyone know anything about TellME?
We need to target communities based on exit poll data too.
There’s so much work.
Is there a place or emails that we can discuss strategy?
Thanks.
Roxy and Taffy,
Awe, shucks! Cut it out. I’ll get a big head like BO and have to hire a crane to carry it around.

Oh… there are people getting lost in the coalition.
Someone may not want to call the DNC, but may want to hand out flyers, someone may not believe in a vote for Nader, but think writing in Hillary is the best thing, but they end up in groups that arent’ doing as such.
Solution: Distribute one URL on all of our ads, flyers etc.. Via this URL, people can navigate to the groups that share their vision and their fight.

“Listening to America:
the Democratic Platform for Change
Host a Platform Meeting
Every four years, the Democratic Party assembles a “platform” that outlines the party’s position on a variety of issues. Traditionally, the platform is written by paid professionals and then presented to the American people.
This year, that’s going to change.
From July 19 to July 27, everyday people all across America will hold Platform Meetings in their own communities. From Atlanta, Georgia to Muncie, Indiana, from Bangor, Maine to Eugene, Oregon, Americans will meet to talk about what issues are most important to them and what should be at the heart of the Democratic platform for change.
The results of these Platform Meetings will be incorporated into the formal process that culminates in the adoption of the platform at the Democratic Convention in August. A few participants may even be invited to appear and testify at the National Hearing and at the Convention!
You can write the next chapter in the history of the Democratic Party. Host an event in your own community. We’ve prepared all the materials that you need to host. Or, if you’d prefer, find an event near you.”

Is this more of the ’smoke and mirrors’ to come - in trying to pull the wool over our eyes??
This is pure, unadulterated, c**p. Could this be a left-handed tactic to eliminate Hillary, as he did in Chicago when he eliminated his other opponents in his State and Federal Senate races?
Murphy - Could we sabotage this venture by 1). organizing host groups in different communities and 2). joining those set up by them. Would it be worth our while.
YUP! If it’s not one thing, it’s another!! They will try anything and everything - we only need to be awake!
Donna Brazile’s comments brought this to mind. There are different kinds of people who enable a pathalogical narcissist. They are not all alike FYI..from Sam Vaknin, PhD
Narcissists are aided, abetted and facilitated by four types of people and institutions: the adulators, the blissfully ignorant, the self-deceiving and those deceived by the narcissist.
The adulators are fully aware of the nefarious and damaging aspects of the narcissist’s behaviour but believe that they are more than balanced by the benefits - to themselves, to their collective, or to society at large. They engage in an explicit trade-off between some of their principles and values - and their personal profit, or the greater good.
They seek to help the narcissist, promote his agenda, shield him from harm, connect him with like-minded people, do his chores for him and, in general, create the conditions and the environment for his success. This kind of alliance is especially prevalent in political parties, the government, multinational, religious organizations and other hierarchical collectives.
The blissfully ignorant are simply unaware of the “bad sides” of the narcissist- and make sure they remain so. They look the other way, or pretend that the narcissist’s behavior is normative, or turn a blind eye to his egregious misbehaviour. They are classic deniers of reality. Some of them maintain a generally rosy outlook premised on the inbred benevolence of Mankind. Others simply cannot tolerate dissonance and discord. They prefer to live in a fantastic world where everything is harmonious and smooth and evil is banished. They react with rage to any information to the contrary and block it out instantly. This type of denial is well evidenced in dysfunctional families.
The self-deceivers are fully aware of the narcissist’s transgressions and malice, his indifference, exploitativeness, lack of empathy, and rampant grandiosity - but they prefer to displace the causes, or the effects of such misconduct. They attribute it to externalities (”a rough patch”), or judge it to be temporary. They even go as far as accusing the victim for the narcissist’s lapses, or for defending themselves (”She provoked him”).
In a feat of cognitive dissonance, they deny any connection between the acts of the narcissist and their consequences (”His wife abandoned him because she was promiscuous, not because of anything he did to her”). They are swayed by the narcissist’s undeniable charm, intelligence, or attractiveness. But the narcissist needs not invest resources in converting them to his cause - he does not deceive them. They are self-propelled into the abyss that is narcissism. The inverted narcissists, for instance, is a self-deceiver.
The deceived are people - or institutions, or collectives - deliberately taken for a premeditated ride by the narcissist. He feeds them false information, manipulates their judgement, proffers plausible scenarios to account for his indiscretions, soils the opposition, charms them, appeals to their reason, or to their emotions, and promises the Moon.
Again, the narcissist’s incontrovertible powers of persuasion and his impressive personality play a part in this predatory ritual. The deceived are especially hard to deprogram. They are often themselves encumbered with narcissistic traits and find it impossible to admit a mistake, or to atone.
They are likely to stay on with the narcissist to his - and their - bitter end.

That’s the need I’m trying to address with turndownobama.com
Here is the list of links I have on the front page.
Hundreds of websites and projects include:
* clintondems.com — short essays with comments; action calls, resources, petitions, etc
* http://pumapacusa.org/- very active, 527 PAC for donations, flyers to distribute, gear, much more
* http://pumaparty.com/ — great software and facilities for all to use
* http://camille424.wordpress.com/ — “bitterpoliticz” –very active warm supportive group
* clintons4mccain.com — handsome web-savvy site, 1489 members, youtube, myspace, mobilenet
* writehillaryin.com — neat clear site, “for Americans who refuse to vote for Barack Obama”
* http://www.blogtalkradio.com/NO-WE-WONT/ — pro-Hillary, anti-Obama talk radio!
* http://groups.yahoo.com/group/newwomensparty/ — very active email group
* http://www.dncreform.com/Home_Page.html — local action for DNC reform
* Flyers and cards to download from bitterpoliticz and pumapacusa.org/
* PUMA talk radios: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/NO-WE-WONT/ and justsaynodeal.com
* Donation funds for Hillary’s campaign debt, “The Denver Group”, and supportive Democrats at Heidi Li’s Potpourri
* Indexes to all the groups: nobamanetwork.com, and justsaynodeal.com
New people can skim for their preferred media (web, radio, etc) or their preferred message, or their preferred activity (flyers, gear). Also I chose names of sites to show the wide variety of groups. These are all good looking, functional sites.
The part that scared me was being able to write out the part about Hillary even being on the roll call if a new platform is adopted. Sure ends the argument since it would be adopted BEFORE the convention. And all us sweet americans made the change for “him”
Taffy,
I was going to send you info about the meeting at my place regarding denver march. MarylandPUMA doesn’t have your email for me to send you the info. Our meeting is in the morning but if you got something to do that morning then hopefully we’ll catch you the next time around.

I think we need to demand that there is a roll call vote for Hillary at the convention or we don’t vote the down ticket Democrats.
There needs to be a way to heed Texasdemocrat’s strong urging for a public demand that Hillary’s delegates walk out if there is no roll call vote.
The fact that Texasdemocrat repeated that request several times yesterday makes me think it’s what Hillary’s loyal delegates need and want to hear, to make their position stronger - and put some fear into the DNC asking for the PUMA community to raise a public outcry for Hillary’s delegates to walk out if there is no roll call vote.
regencyg // July 8, 2008 at 1:56 pm
Screw that. If she wants her name in, she can leave it. Let the delegates vote. What is with this need to make it a coronation. It isn’t one.
DWP for Hill — I think we need to demand that there is a roll call vote for Hillary at the convention or we don’t vote the down ticket Democrats.
Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks so much for posting my video on your blog!
INDYPUMA
I agaree with your recent posts. And I think that in recent days there’s been a trend to just get lost doing various things that may not be very productive. I agree that the Just Say No Deal web site is not well designed, but this site isn’t exactly ready for prime time either. I think by now Murphy knows that I’m very big on how important it is that our public face be thought through (be it via web site design and organization, having reps from these grassroots orgs having their talking points down pat when they get media coverage, etc) since recruiting is a major concern. I’ve yet to find a grassroots org web site that clearly states: 1) Their mission, 2) Their goals, 3) Their tactics, 4) Obvious ways for newcomers to join and take action. Without that, we likely lose lots of visitors to these sites. Also, without a clear mission, “members” can more easily get lost doing all sorts of busy tasks all day that have no real focus or that are not unified with others to maximize their impact.
That said, considering everyone’s been scrambling to respond and organize, what’s been done so far is mighty impressive. However, I do think we’re at a juncture where reassessment is needed.
Sometimes I actually wonder, What does everyone on this blog think the main goal is at this point? And, how does everyone think it’s best to achieve it? Maybe it’s a good time to stop, breathe, think, and regroup. And, as the convention approaches, I fear the risk of getting even more scattered is going to escalate as emotions continue to rise.
Sorry for rambling. I’m busy today and trying to juggle too many things.
McCain debuted his first national ad today. It will air in key battleground states, and it’s powerful.

Obviously a crock, I do not think we should sidetrack alot of resources towards attending because Obamabots have already exhibited hostility and threats towards any opposition.
We do need to organize letters to the commitees about why we are not attending and what our position is. Directed to the committee and copied to the DNC.
Hillary 2008

Glad you found AT. I’ve been visiting their site for months. Though it is unbelievably conservative, the amount of anti-Obama stuff they’ve been running has helped save my sanity this year. I recommend American Thinker highly for a quick anti-Obama fix! Just go to Archives and check out Articles and/or Blogs from the past few months. And, if you only see one thing, select the 6/12/08 Blog titled: “Obama on why he shouldn’t have run for president”. It’s like a ready-to-go ad for the McCain campaign. Don’t know why Hillary never used it. It’s priceless!
I e-mailed the two letters. They must be frustrated at this point to receive so many letters/e-mails.

I think you’re right. No matter what the phantasmorphic hype of obamabots like Chris Matthews, Keith Obermann and other sorry excuses for journalists proclaims, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if this election is another George McGovern and/or Michael Dukakis year. It wouldn’t even surprise me if OB won only 1 state (if any).
….Another case of the Democratic Party being a dream opponent for Republicans. They don’t have to do anything, just give the Dem leadership/candidate enough rope and sure as the day is long, the Dems will hang themselves…..
Happens every election. Exception: Bill Clinton.
I mean, if Dems actually won, they’d have to DO something, ACTUALLY govern, INSTEAD of just complaining and whining about the BIG, BAD BOGEYMAN, i.e the Republicans, who are going to take away your right to reproductive freedom and keep us in Iraq for 100 years….or whatever sorry scare tactic they can come up with.
As if BambiBOY in the White House isn’t enough to scare any sane person out of their minds!

I agree with most of what you are saying in the abstract. Not knowing “who” you are, my instinct is you know what you are talking about when it come to the public face and presentation.
Also, I don’t know if you are in touch with Murphy off the blog offering specific recommendations. This is a very spiked growing curve and as you’ve noted its pretty impressive so far.
Also…just simple marketing here…you know those long Internet sales letters that a lot of people can’t stand? They work. So my point is although the justsaynodeal site isn’t all that impressive visually, it’s getting the content out and that is critical right now.
Go to the article and Digg it so we can get even more attention!

It really bothers me to know that the Democratic Party squandered the only real chance we had to win back the White House. How do the party leaders sleep at night?

My thought exactly. Yesterday I wanted to be clear that I’m proud and amazed at our efforts thus far.
But, one area that I think we’re lacking is recruitment and connected the un-connected.
I really believe that we need more members, a streamlined frontpage for all to find what they need or, at least, more consolidation.
Plus, other methods exist like snail mail and Cell Phone SMS.
With $25k we can blanket the subway system in Boston alone with ads that recruit and make our efforts broadly known. (I have material from the company that manages and sells those ad spaces).
People United Means Action is such a brilliant motto.
Think of these simple ads:
1) “Want to keep them honest?” (URL at bottom)
This will bring people to the cause because they’ll be curious.
2) “Take your party back!!!” (URL at bottom)
3) “Want to know who voted for the Cheney Energy Bill?” (URL at bottom)
or just simply…
4) “People United Means Action” (URL on the bottom of ad)
In addition, we can create business card size material with the above info and other details (question on front, answer on back) and leave them on subways, gas pumps (Yep, I believe that would be smart) etc etc.
Meetup will help us unite at the community level rather than at the Cyber level.
New action center looks nice. Glad it is back up!
Don’t Misunderestimate Obama

With 68 percent of Americans believing George Bush has done a poor job, and 82 percent saying the country is on the wrong track, the election of 2008 will turn on one issue: Barack Obama.
If Sen. Obama can convince the people he is “one of us,” and not some snooty radical liberal from Chicago’s Hyde Park, who looks down upon white America as a fever swamp of racism and reaction, a la the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the senator will be the next president.
The election of 2008 thus mirrors the election of 1980.
Then, the country wanted Jimmy Carter gone. Americans had had enough of 21 percent interest rates, 13 percent inflation and 7 percent unemployment. They wanted the Iranian hostage crisis ended, violently if necessary. After the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, America wanted a leader who would not kiss Leonid Brezhnev on the cheek but reassert American power.
The issue then was Ronald Reagan. Portrayed as some Al Capp cartoon of a crazed right-winger and B-Grade Hollywood actor given to spouting Reader’s Digest bromides, Reagan was regarded as ridiculous by much of the media and too big a risk by much of the nation.
In one debate with Carter, Reagan erased the misperceptions and turned a close race into a cakewalk. That is Barack’s opportunity.
A savvy politician, he has measured correctly the hurdle he must surmount and is moving expeditiously to alter an image of him forged by his own past associations and policy positions. In three weeks, he has jettisoned his new politics in a stunning display of raw pragmatism.
A prime minister must be “a good butcher,” H.H. Asquith told Winston Churchill on naming him First Lord of the Admiralty, “and there are several who need to be pole-axed now.” Four years later, Asquith would pole-axe Churchill over the Dardanelles disaster.
Obama is not lacking in this capacity that Richard Nixon, too, felt was an indispensable attribute of a statesman.
Samantha Power was tossed off Barack’s sledge after calling Hillary a “monster” and suggesting Barack’s Iraq timetable was not set in concrete. Robert Malley was canned for having talked to Hamas, though that was his portfolio at a think tank for conflict resolution.
Barack pole-axed pastor Wright and, though he said he could no more repudiate his church than his family, shortly after the second time Wright went off, Barack severed all ties to Trinity United.
Barack has spoken of how he cringed at the racist reaction of his white grandmother after she was accosted by a black man on a bus. Grandma has now been rehabilitated in a new ad as the loving woman who inculcated good old Kansas values into little Barack.
When his own surrogate, Gen. Wesley Clark, suggested John McCain’s war service did not automatically qualify him as presidential timber, a storm erupted. Barack proceeded to cut the general’s legs off.
His had been one of a few Senate voices to speak of Palestinian suffering. But Barack’s address to the Israeli lobby read like it was plagiarized from the collected works of Ze’ev Jabotinsky.
When the Supreme Court declared every citizen has a Second Amendment right to a handgun, Barack stood with Justice Scalia. When Scalia said the court ought not to have taken away Louisiana’s right to execute child rapists, Barack was with him again.
When Congress voted the telecoms immunity from prosecution for colluding with the Bush administration in wiretapping citizens, Barack stood with Bush and the telecoms. Fearing it might cost him his huge money-raising advantage over McCain, Barack tossed campaign finance reform over the side.
In Ohio, Barack was a populist opponent of NAFTA. He is now a free-trader. Yet when economic adviser Austan Goolsbee told the Canadians pretty much the same thing, Barack disinherited him.
As July 4 approached, Barack gratuitously dissed his friends at MoveOn.org for their “General Betray Us” ad mocking Gen. David Petraeus. And that flag pin Barack got rid of after 9-11, calling it a “substitute … for real patriotism”? It’s back on the lapel.
Last week, Barack said that, after he meets with Petraeus and his field commanders in Iraq, he might “refine” his commitment to withdraw all U.S. combat brigades within 16 months.
And finally, Obama has co-opted President Bush’s faith-based initiative and claimed it as his own.
What is Obama up to? Having secured the nomination, he is moving to convince the nation he is neither a black militant nor a radical, but a man of the center who will even listen to the right.
Though infuriating to readers of The Huffington Post, this may save Barack. For in Middle America folks worry less about politicians adjusting positions than about True Believers willing to go over the cliff with flags flying — and taking us with them.
Reagan was no Barry Goldwater. He knew when to “hold ‘em,” and he knew when to “fold ‘em.” Yet, America still knew who Reagan was.
We may be misunderestimating Barack. But the question of 2008 remains: When all is said and done, who is this guy?

I loved your letter! It would be kind of fun if we all sent out letters just like yours, but with our own names inserted instead of yours, to on-the-fence delegates, party leaders, cc’s to Jon Stewart, SNL, David Letterman, Jay Leno, etc. Humor sometimes makes the point a lot better than serious, earnest pleas. When you read the content of your letter (all of it true), it really makes anyone who buys the Obama hype look quite foolish and simplistic.
Make a great little aside on Late-night/Talk-Show comedy! I can picture it happening in my mind as I write!

Really appreciate your recent points.

I’ll try to find that Blog and cut and paste a link. (I’m not very techie, but I’ll try)
TALKING POINTS: I’m working on a list of talking points for anyone interested. Maybe we can have a running list that we all contribute to that can be posted somewhere here (Murphy, think about this) that Murphy can proof read, edit and approve of. That way, when we write letters, we’ll have a resource for ideas. Just a thought. Here’s my draft. Still working on it.
TALKING POINTS
Obama has scant experience for this most awesome job of POTUS. Clinton has 35 years of outstanding public service.
Obama claims to be an outsider, as if that in and of itself is something necessary or good. Being an “insider” or an “outsider” is not the point. The President of the United States needs to be deserving of the job and able do the job in an excellent fashion. In any case, despite his “outsider” claims, he has surrounded himself with Washington insiders who serve as his advisors. Clinton makes no hype about insider our outsider, she just gets the job done, and beautifully.
Obama touts being a candidate of change. Change in and of itself is neither good nor bad. In addition, any party trying to win the White House when the opposing party has been in office always claims change. Clinton has not been seduced by empty claims. Instead, she runs on her merits.
Obama has no history of being a so-called “uniter”. Quite the opposite. His voting record as a state senator and in Congress reveals a pattern of digging in or not voting. He does not find common ground in order to get legislation passed. Clinton has an impressive Congressional track record: reaching across the aisle to get things done which is unifying without having to label it as such, and standing her ground on issues when needed.
Obama, to put it politely, flip flops as is politically convenient. To put it more bluntly, he lies. The list of examples is long, and growing longer by the day. In 1996 he went back on his word to Alice Palmer. More recently, after winning his Senate seat he said he would not run for President, noting his lack of experience. Most recently, after coming out in favor of public campaign financing, he has rejected it. Then there’s FISA, abortion, and troop withdrawal from Iraq, not to mention embracing Bush’s faith-based initiative, even promising to expand it. Clinton, on the other hand, has made her platform clear and stuck by it.
Obama obscures the truth, minimizes relationships, and blatantly lies as is politically convenient. He either claims innocence or minimizes relationships with questionable characters. He publicly stated that he was unaware of Wright making the kinds of comments and rants that we all came to be aware of, despite having sat in the pews of his church for 20 years and embracing Wright as a mentor and father figure. When asked recently about his relationship with Rashid Khalidi, he brushed it off as one simply based on the coincidence of them both teaching at Columbia and having children who attend the same school, when in truth, he and Khalidi have scratched each others backs in mutually beneficial ways over the years. He claimed innocence about Tony Rezko while receiving large sums of money to support his campaigns and became entangled with him personally over his home and land purchase. Meanwhile, Clinton does not have a trail of convicted criminals and terrorists in her wake.
Obama has a history of developing relationships with individuals who express through their words and actions profoundly anti-American sentiments, including Bill Ayers, a terrorist who built bombs that killed fellow Americans and who, to this day, remains unrepentant. Clinton has no such folks among her group of friends and supporters.
Obama routinely expresses a confused understanding of history, including his own personal history, noting that he is the product of the march on Selma, despite the fact that he was born four years prior to the march. Clinton appears to have a solid grasp of history, including her own personal history that includes her birth date.
Obama appears to feel he is above the fray and undeserving of scrutiny, despite applying for the job of the highest office in the country. He routinely scolds the press when they asked him a question, stating that an issue has already been addressed, noting that he cannot be questioned on certain things (such as patriotism), or claiming that rumors abound on the internet and when the press ask about something they give further credibility to the rumors. Clinton has dealt with the press in a strong and dignified manner, even going so far as to sit down with journalists who were critical of her after which they more often than note come around to realizing how very warm and smart she is.
Obama is willing to sit down with leaders of enemy nations. Clinton has made it abundantly clear that we do not do that.
Obama was embraced by the press who were unable to remain objective in doing their job, with members of the press corps stating they have to work hard to resist drinking the cool aid. Clinton was reviled by the press at every turn, as the media dished out one insult after another, minimized her, objectified her, dismissed her, and disrespected her despite her gifts, talents, wisdom and experience.
Obama was selected by the DNC early on in the primary season. They did this despite Hillary Clinton winning key Democratic states, many by significant margins, being far outspent by Obama, and bucking a biased media. And, they did this by back room deals regarding Florida and Michigan. And they did this by tripping over themselves so as not to appear in the least bit racist, but apparently misogyny was perfectly acceptable. Clinton, meanwhile, persevered as great leaders do, even in the face of being unfairly cast aside by the DNC.
In sum, Obama hasn’t got the experience. He associates himself with terrorists, hate-mongers, and criminals. He lies to the press and the public. He flip-flops on positions. He has no record of getting anything done while in public office. He has a dangerously naïve view of national security. And, if all of that wasn’t enough, he didn’t win the popular vote. He was anointed by the press and the DNC. Oh, and, uh, uh, by the way, um, not so good without a teleprompter.
How much lower can we set the bar?
(Sorry, the last sentence of the next to the last paragraph is me being pissy. I don’t think it should go in a letter, but it’s for everyone else’s amusement!)
HELP
Hello all, I have finished part of my work and have a bit of spare time, and I’m putting together a set of fliers for Pumapac if approved. I need about 10 reasons for not selecting *61 to put in these simple flier-designs. I know there have been countless of reasons posted, if anyone can repost them and let me reorganise a few words for the flier-designs. Then Maryland/Murphy and yourself can correct/change the design however you wish.
I already have:
1: Character flaws
2: Inexperience.
Just need a few more in paragraphs form, that would be great. Thanks.

Oh.. to add what I wrote above.
I remember some show about advertising where folks would more likely take a Business Card rather than a full out flyer.
Q&A Business cards could be very effective because we could put a PO Box on it so that folks want to recieve more info or want to make a donation will have a that snail mail option.
Other Q&A and Info Business Card ideas
1) Who is voting for FISA? (answer on back with a url for more information or a phone number to call for discussion)
2) Who changed stances on Gun Control? (Use all of BO’s flip flops on separate cards)

Thanks for posting the hoax info. I came across your posting after I’d written about it. I hadn’t read through all of the successive posts yet….thought it deserved to be responded to immediately. Glad to see your excellent explanation.
#669 TAFFY Great article by Pat Buchanan. I actually sent him a $25 donation when he was running for Prez because he was going to put a 5 year moratoriam on immigrants coming into the country. He is very anti-illegal immigration and since I’m from Miami, I jumped on his bandwagon. That is a huge issue with me but none of the candidates wish to touch it, afraid to lose the Hispanic vote.

Check out my post just above yours. (We must have been typing at the same time.) Might have some ideas there for you to pluck out.
I agree with everyone above that we are not too organized and all.
I think that a lot of it has to do with the appearence of our websites. I had several people tell me that the websites look a little “tacky” I sort of agree.
As of right now I think there is only one this we should focus on and that is getting Hillary elected nominee THIS YEAR. WE need to contact the supers but not offend them and please keep the e-mails short, no one likes to sit through long letters.
We need to contact the DNC and anyone else that it should be an open convention with a role call vote.
We need to get this out. If for some reason it just doesn’t turn out shes nominee then our efforts will change ofcoarse, but the way I see it we arrvied here cause of our dedication towards Hillary, and until a nominee is chosen in Denver, I feel as a Hillary Clinton supporter that we need to continue our efforts to making her the nominee.
This is an e-mail I sent to murphy, what doy ou guys think?
*********************************
Hi, I was on the PUMA website and have found that the number of donated pictures/flyers is very low.
In responce to Jeremy’s talent list I was thinking since apperently we have a number of people who are talented with such things as photoshop, well why not have you host a banner contest?
1. This will get everyone involved and focused on our causes
2. It would be fun for everyone that tries this.
3. It will create a more professional approach to our advertising or simply when we e-mail our friends to have something that looks more professional.
I believe that if we want to get our name even more out there and to have an image of quality and being professional then this should help. I had a friend complain that the websites look tacky and lack a look of professionalism.
I’m sure there are many people out there willing to donate their time to this. Iv’e heard some had worked for graphic designing so I believe this would be a great idea.
The contest can be held up for public vote to our fellow PUMAs or simply be chosen by you. For example, you say “I want a new PUMA logo with so and so text on it” “I want a banner with a bus showcaseing our details for Denver to pass along” or “I would like a flyer showcaseing Obama’s flip flops” and then have them being turned in on a certain date and either you decide or hold a public vote.
To be fair we shouldn’t list who made what.
But all in all I see this as it would be a rael benefit to us and if we really want to pull of the Skill that our fellow PUMAs have this would be a great idea.
#667 IndyPUMA on 07.08.08 at 3:38 pm
Love your ideas! Especially the advertising on public transit! I wonder how much those ads in subway cars cost? I’m in the NYC region and I’d really like something interesting to look at as I ride about town.
Instead of Bam’s arrogant face staring at me everywhere I go!
The business size cards are a great idea too. Even one page sheets of info dedicated to a single issue….taxes, flip-flops, questionable associations and friends, etc. Things that are short, easy to read in a glance and can be left on the subway seats, restaurant/fast-food tables, chairs, any other places being congregate and wait.
I am taking a break at work but just wanted to say a few things. First there has to be a business/advertising person here but it seems that I remember someone telling me that a person has to hear something 5-10 times before the start checking it out/paying attention. So don’t lose heart. I think every time we put the information out there it is chipping away at someone. Every day when I park my car at the train station, I place a PUMA business card on about 10 nearby cars. I do the same when I leave in the afternoon. I’m sure I have hit some cars more than once but hopefully they will get curious and check us out. Have a good day.
#681 henry. Thanks for reply.
Someone mentioned postcard size. Perhaps that is better than fliers. I’ve already made this simple design in PSD, just need a few words in it. Anyone can repost their reasons for not electing *61, in paragraph form?
My husband read in this Chicago papers about a month ago since he drinks kool aid and when he mentions Obama I dont even listen since it is a source of great division for us I despise the man but he read that they were talking about Obama trying to duplicate the I have a dream speech for Aug 28 2008 I didnt pay much attention to it then but that may be why he wants such a large venue.
Just got into my Puma suit, started my Puma rant and faxed out my letters to Obama and Dean.
Re: Let the Drum Roll Begin
http://www.lynettelong.com/
by Guest Blogger Kaylin at the AriesPoint
Question: Why would one of the two major political parties exclude the voices of eighteen million voters at its national convention? Why does Hillary Clinton have to “negotiate” for a convention speech, and for her name to be placed into nomination for a roll call vote?
Answer: Because the selected candidate is afraid. Afraid and trying to claim a mandate for his candidacy that doesn’t exist….
Still amazed at all the new blog names I see every day. It’s really heartening to know that our shared values are getting through to more and more people every day.
Along those lines, I was listening to a progressive radio show yesterday (that I used to listen to B4BO), just to see what they’re talking about these days. They were discussing BO’s policy positions and trying to rationalize them. Fortunately they had some astute listeners who were calling BO for what he is - a flip flopper - akin to Kerry (GASP!!!). They went on to talk about how some people could not support him because of this and that there are still some Clinton supporters who will not support him (they can’t - for their lives - understand why not (whine!). The host then mentioned an article in yesterday’s Wall Street Journal that discusses how about 300 of Clinton’s greatest fundraisers will not support BO. So, I read the article. It’s really very interesting and very long (so I won’t post it here). It basically says that about 300 of Clinton’s “Hillraisers” have formed various PACs and other organizations to divert attention from BO, etc. It also discussed a group formed by BO supporters who hope to woo him back to the left with money donated to their PAC. (Didn’t they get the memo that he does do PACs and special interest groups? Tee hee).
Anyway, I was glad to see that our cause (maybe not our name) was still front page news ONE MONTH AFTER she suspended her campaign. I think it says a lot about our convictions, our values, and our actions that we (pro Clinton people) can still make the front page of the Wall Street Journal when our candidate has suspended the race.

My vote for McCain is the only power I have against BHO and the DNC.
Never will vote for BHO, under any circumstances!!!
Re: Start a drumbeat
http://www.lynettelong.com/
Start a drumbeat. A steady, ever increasing virtual drumbeat for the next six weeks. In our posts to media sites, in our signatures…Let Hillary speak…Why can’t she speak?…Roll call vote…Let Hillary speak…why can’t her name be put into nomination?…Roll call vote…18 million voices unrepresented…roll call vote…Let Hillary speak…half the party unacknowledged…roll call vote…Let Hillary speak…roll call vote…
Start drumming TODAY!
Together, we can do this.
Thanks Anna7000, I’ll pluck out some from yours then

I think McCain and the repubs are playing it smart right now. McCain is doing enough to stay competitive with nobama. If the polls were to swing heavily in favor of nobama…we would see more effort from them.
After the convention, the repubs will come out swinging. Sometimes I do wish that they would do it now, so that Hillary would have a shot at he convention. Anywho, such is life. If not Hillary, it damn sure won’t be nobama.
#515 el puma on 07.08.08 at 1:22 pm, WROTE,
[[Dear Pumas…I’ve read innumerable posts here written by people excessively engaged in fantasizing “Joan de Arc” Hillary riding into the Convention on a white horse with a flaming sword with her army of angels in order to snatch the nomination from Obama… ]]
I was watching FoxNews eariler today and they did a segment on campaign planning, of what the possible scenarios are. Should she give a prminate role in a speech, should she not. If she did, would that belittle him, enanger her supporters, etc. But basically, it was a 3-way screen spit interviewing three different women on what there take was on the campaign process. Wish I had taken down some notes but did not, so I don’t even have the show it was on because I was working in another room and just overheard. The gist of it was though that negociations are going back and forth between both Hillary and Obama as to what her role might be and yes—even if there should be a roll call vote or if she should remove her name so as not to upset the Convention by upstaging him. One of the speakers was Geraldine Ferraro who said that she should be given a prominate roll and that BHO should be as gracious to her in winning as she (meaning Hillary was to him in losing).
[[ Look folks..you’re dreaming and wasting your time.. wake up..it ain’t gonna happen!!.. ]]
It is called, HOPE. And our hope is for a CHANGE in outcome. So if we dream, let us dream a dream together. After all, wasn’t that BHO’s theme song. Why not make it ours as well!
[[Don’t get me wrong I was a Hillary supporter and voted for her.. BUT..Don’t forget Hillary threw in the towel and is now on Obama’s team she’s kissed his ring and has beseeched the Obama campaign for money to pay off her campaign debts ..so let’s get real here.. ]]
Well—not exactly. She did not throw in the towel. Remember she only suspended her campagin but she never gave a concession speech, and like Geraline Ferraro said today, he has to be respectful of her 1,600 delegate votes so as not to disrespect her or them.
As to campaign debt… It is my firm belief that if Hillary really wanted to she and her husband could pay off that debt but are choosing not to in order to stall for time… Because as long as she has that debt, it will not go to him or the DNC. And if you are talking about the 4,600 BHO and his wife gave to the Hillary Campaign, let us remember that the very next day both Hillary and Bill signed checks to the BHO campaign making it a wash.
Look—the fundraisers she is doing for him, are also for her as well, because she too is accepting funds from donners… so it’s not really as if she threw in the towel. More like she is acting like a dishwasher and mopping up the floor with him. It’s really all a matter of perspective and how we each choose to see things… through a light colored lens or through a cloudy darky.
[[HILLARY RAN A CRAPPY CAMPAIGN and her backstabbing advisors weren’t worth a you-know-what..HILLARY BLEW IT…HUBRIS and overconfidence..it’s a story as old as time.. ]]
I think at the begging of her campaign she was listening too much too Mark Penn who advised her to be strong, when the voters wanted a softer Hillary. And by the time she followed that pattern she had lost 12 states to him. But let’s be real about this if you want… near the end, she won most of the larger swing states needed to win in the fall. As to overconfidence… the media is as much to blame for that one as Mark Penn.
[[ I think our time and energy would best be served by throwing our support behind John McCain..because at this point he is the ONLY FIREWALL left between Obama and the Presidency..]]
Not yet! Not yet!
Wait to see what happens near to or at the convention itself. You see, unlike you, and and many others still believe in this thing called, HOPE!
[[ so lets have more discussion of how we are going to get John McCain into the Presidency..]]
You discuss and I will listen.
How’s that.
HILLARY IN ‘08

I want Hillary to take over and I don’t want any Republican in the Whitehouse. *61 without Hillary is a no deal for me.
We both do admire Hillary though, and don’t like *61, so at least we are united on that front.

Pumas,
There are GREAT ideas running around on the blogs, but NO ONE is emailing them to me.
I do not spend a great deal of time on the blogs - I’m behind the scenes working on other things.
We’re losing a lot of ideas and duplicating efforts.
Please email me with your ideas, or with a post that you see a good idea on (with author name). These are being put to good use and most are already ‘in the works’. Projects do take time, and we are working like mad trying to incorporate them.
Remember that any graphics or documents you submit become the property of PUMA PAC, license and royalty-free. You will be credited with the work, but we will be free to use it in whatever manner we feel fits.

Subject: McCain Surrogate Hits Obama for being “AWOL” on Immigration Bill, 7-8-08.
http://gretawire.foxnews.com/2008/07/08/gloves-off/
I am probably one of the least racist people in the world so when I say I object to what BHO said it is not because of that. Could you imagine if a white person had said this. To me this is using race to his advantage.
I personnaly found the comments outrageous and stero typical. Is basketball the only good job there is? It’s statements like these that strengthen my resolve to do what I can to keep Obama from becoming not only president but our nominee as well.
At his Georgia town hall meeting, Obama cautioned kids not to drop out of school to pursue a far-fetched dream. Addressing a mostly African American crowd outside Atlanta, Obama joked, “You can’t find a job unless you are a really, really good basketball player. Which most of you brothers are not. I know you think you are. But you’re not. You are overrated in your own mind. You will not play in the NBA. You are probably not that good a rapper. Maybe you are the next Little Wayne, but probably not. In which case you need to stay in school.”
On a roll, Obama then said they’d be much more employable if they know a foreign language, and said we should be emphasizing foreign language study in classrooms. “It’s embarrassing when Europeans come over here, they all speak English, they speak French, they speak German. And then we go over to Europe and all we can say is merci beaucoup.”
MURPHY & PUMAS
…what a great job…..Thank You so much…..you guys’ “WILL POWER”…the Fire with in all of your Hearts…is so great to see …..Keep going…..
PUMAS PAC SITES,needs a link placed there for the VIDEOS about the FACTS of what DNC,BO’s filp floping ..
it’s good to veiw at times…and New Pumas can go directly
there and GET STIRRED UP….and enlighted…
the videos are GREAT, that’s been posted here…..SO informing ….
Let’s get HILLARY’s campaign paid…..Fighting hard all the way to the convention……if the DNC & BO steps on her there……then ALL FOCUS will be to see he(BO) and every Senator that supported him….that’s runing for RE-ELECTION in NOV……..WILL BE UNSEATED
#699 Madlogic…
Yes, it includes accommodations for you and a guest.
I still think everyone should write their state’s attorney general (as in the case of Minnesota) to investigate that. We need to break that fundraising scheme up.
#693 A-Will
Just goes to show you that when someone tries to burn the candle at both ends (as Bo does) and be all things to all people, all they get are burned fingers….
I do believe the money is drying up for BO….
And the desperation level is increasing for them all - BO, Dean, Pelosi et al.
I mean, how much longer can they keep up this charade? The GE is not going to be the friendly audience the primaries have been for them. Plus, how long can you shuffle and evade and hemmmm and hawwww before voters, ALL voters, start calling you on your evasions, lies and flip-flops?
And when you finally appear in a debate (hopefully a town hall….) people will be looking at BO very closely to see if the accusations of being an empty suit, a flip-flopping, plagerizing, copycat without an original idea or actual plan of his own are true…..I’d like to see him stand next to McCain and try to pull off his condescending arrogant know-it-all tho I’ve been in the Senate for 4 short years, most of which I’ve spent campaigning for President, etc…,my claim to fame is that I was a “community organizer” in Chicago (isn’t that like…a summer job for college kids?)
I am waiting patiently for that visual….Talk about bursting the empty helium-filled bubble that is Obama’s ego and Howard Dean’s meglomaniacal and distorted dream of “power to the people.” Sad problem is you have to turn the “people” into mindless, brain-washed thugs and/robots to get it done. Not my idea of democracy….

It was so nice to read the positive accolades to those on this blog who have so passionately donated their time and skills for it’s development in one short month.
I won’t even try to name them because I know I would miss somebody.
I can’t imagine the scope of the time and sacrifice they so willingly give for this cause, because I know the time it takes just for me to read and do the things asked.
Expressions and positive acknowledgement are not expressed enough ,I fear.
So here is a big “SHOUT OUT” to those who have brought us where we are, and to those who appreciate the efforts and say so!!
#655 Amarissa: If we start emailing the news medias on “topics”. They will listen. I promise. Here is why.
1) Reporters need the public for stories - like good doctors need patients to participate in their own health issues - including supportive research.
2) 95% of everything you read or listen to came from a “tip”, press release, etc., (an outside the media room source)
3) A good tip, press release, source not only provides the “headline” (they may modify it) but the sources of information. It is also important to point the journalist to other sources about the issue or others who may agree with the issues for verification, validation.
4) It also informs the media or journalist who would be interested in hearing about this (who it affects, the consequences of the issue - positive or negative)
5) Finally it attempts to provide a timeline of the issue, so the journalist can prioritize, verify the information and solicit the story for acceptance with their editor.
The JustSayNoDeal and PUMA Coalition is a huge resource for “controversial” issues in the election:
Individual personal stories about members (there have been some awesome, poignant, shocking stories on this blog alone:
*The foreclosure of a PUMA member’s daughter’s first home - and her suicide, as a result
*The threats, publication of Murphy’s name with mis-information to sabatoge her position with supporters
*Responses from DNC/Brazile, etc.
*How “PUMA voter’s voices did not end with the Primaries - they are more informed on the political process and the candidates’ positions/change in positions, political financing more than ever before”
*The number of hits, daily posts, new blogs
There are genuine political/human interest stories on this blog as well as the coalition of blogs.
Murphy and team need to approve any Press Releases.
However, that does not keep anyone on this blog from writing the media, journalists, etc., and telling them about this amazing story unfolding here at PUMA and other sites!
There are wonderful writers on here. YOU MATTER, and the stories of your fellow PUMAs MATTER.
In fact, the story of this and other related blogs, and the relationships evolving, learning from one another, counting each voice as important - has, in many ways, far surpassed what the political powers and the DNC were supposed to represent as a governing body.
The pundits would have the world believing that Hillary and Bill Clinton are simply legends in their own minds and political aspirations…
…her supporters and PUMAS are a living example that Hillary had the same affect during the Primary on people that Bill Clinton had on the country in the WH.
…They put the issues of the people of this country, first… because they seemed to get it:

It is our duty to inform everyone about the real Barack Hussein Obama
July 5, 2008
By Vincent Gioia
Not long ago liberal columnist Maureen Dowd learned not to criticize Barack Hussein Obama’s ears. This was just an early warning to news reporters, the entire news media and ultimately to politically correct opponents of Obama’s election as president, not to say anything negative about BHO.
Sadly, the caution was observed so it is difficult to find any criticism of BHO anywhere other than on radio’s answer to the biased reporting by all three national TV networks and the tax-payer funded Public Broadcasting System. Worst of all, BHO’s opponent John McCain has also eschewed all comments by his campaign that call attention to the negative aspects of BHO himself, his judgment and his socialist political policies.
Without public criticism of his inexperience, poor judgment in choice of friends and advisors, and other negatives, the public is left only with carefully scripted campaign remarks and appealing words spoken from behind a teleprompter. The real BHO is a well kept secret so as to not reveal who BHO is and what he thinks lest the public get onto him before they cast their votes.
Although not made known very much by his opponent and certainly not his supportive news media, here are some of the votes cast by BHO during his 123 days he was actually present in the senate chambers and available to act as an elected senator (as found on the web)and some other important facts:
ABORTION
* He voted against banning partial birth abortion
* He supports abortion on demand
* He voted NO on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions.
NATIONAL SECURITY AND FOREIGN POLICY
* He opposed the Patriot Act.
* He is willing to meet with Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Kim Jung and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and, worse, without preconditions
* He voted YES on providing habeas corpus for Guantanamo detainees
* He has said that one of his first goals after being elected would be to have a conference with all Muslim nations
* He has publicly vowed to cut-and-run in Iraq. (Though he now says it may take a few more months)
* Has repeatedly said the surge in Iraq has not succeeded.
SECOND AMENDMENT
* He voted NO on prohibiting lawsuits against gun manufacturers.
* He supports banning gun ownership.
TAXES, SOCIAL SECURITY, HEALTH-CARE AND MINIMUM SALARY
* He voted NO on repealing the Alternative Minimum Tax.
* He voted NO on repealing the ‘Death’ Tax.
* He wants to raise the Capital Gains Tax.
* He opposes any efforts to Privatize Social Security, which other countries — e.g., such as Chile — have successfully done (read about a simple plan for individual investment retirement accounts at http://www.riseupamerica.net/). He instead supports increasing the amount of the FICA tax, the money-tree of the Ponzi scheme called Social Security
* He supports socialized universal health care.
* He wants to make the minimum wage a “living wage.”
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION
* He supports granting driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants
* He supports extending welfare to illegal immigrants
* He voted YES on “comprehensive immigration reform,” a codeword for amnesty
* He voted YES on allowing illegal aliens to participate in Social Security
DISCRIMINATION
* He supports reverse discrimination in the form of affirmative action in Colleges and Government.
* He associates himself with prominent bigot racists such as Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan.
PARTISANSHIP
* He voted with Democratic Party 96 percent of 251 votes
* He is ranked as the most liberal Senator in the Senate today and that takes some doing
* Whatever bill he signed was so radically leftist that the first one that was passed was campaign finance reform
ILLEGAL DRUG USE
* He questioned, in 2001, harsh penalties for drug dealing
* He says he will deal with street level drug dealing as a minimum-wage issue
* He admitted marijuana and cocaine use in high school and in college.”
Since BHO’s wife Michelle Obama has injected herself into the campaign; there is no reason to ignore what she says and advocates. She is a tough person, no shrinking violet, and deserves full public exposure too.
We must spread the word about BHO; John McCain won’t do it and the news media wants BHO to win; it is our responsibility, you and I, to make BHO known as he really is to all voters. McCain is no great shakes but BHO and a Democrat legislature will change America, as BHO promises, but into a socialistic government controlled country and the changes may not be reversible.

I have some friends who believe all of us at PUMA are a ‘hate’ group. Those same people moan and groan about how broken our country is. Perhaps they don’t understand that the things they are moaning and groaning about are the very things we are trying to change?
I have done a great deal of thinking about how to fix the numerous problems our country faces. Lately, I have started thinking about how we got ourselves into the collective mess we are in. I have concluded that both major political parties are equally to blame. Both have done things for ‘party loyalty’ that really didn’t serve the country as a whole.
It is obvious to anyone who is willing to see it, that the Congress, both houses, is not doing a very good job. Of course most people in the country have concluded that, based on recent polls. Then, of course, we have the current administration in the White House. Dito. Now we have a Democratic party that has ’selected’ a nomine that is not the choice of the people. We are being told to just ‘unite’ and things will be hunky dorie.
Do we actually believe that? How can we?
Perhaps it is time to challenge the powers that be in both parties. If all of those ’super delegates’ and individual voters that supported Hillary would just stand up, we could make a difference. Maybe they feel they can’t. Maybe they feel they have to have ‘party loyalty’ to the bitter end.
I think, most of the time, that we all need to really think about starting a new party. If the Democrats won’t reform, I don’t see how our nation can survive as a democracy without some force to cournter act the two cabals we call major parties.
Maybe if we make enough noise, others will join us. I think about Evan Byah, Jill Long Thompson, and the Clintons, and I begin to see that they are pretty much wandering in the wilderness of this mess we call democrats. Maybe if all of them would just stand up and speak out, a new party could be formed.
In the mean time, we as PUMAs seem to the a thin line of dissent. It is a start.

The AOL Straw poll cracks me up. AOL is trying to shake us by restarting it on different days. They did the same thing with Hillary…notice that they don’t print the previous week’s results anymore.
#591 antifish and #694- I am in total agreement , my vote is what I have left, the DNC cannot take it from me.
Which is why I have decided McCain will get my vote, I want it to yield the most power against BO but more importantly, against the DNC and their outrageous conduct over this primary season.
My hope is that it is a landslide and the DNC wakes up on November 4th scratching their heads, trying to figure out what went wrong.

While it is unlikely that Hillary will be the candidate, it is still possible. Until the actual vote at the convention, many things can happen.
BHO is doing his best to disenchant everyone.
Actually, I hope for a 2012 candidacy for Hillary. If that means going through the pain of McCain - so be it!!!
I am rather enjoying stories of the BHO/Clinton negotiations for the convention.

My post is being held until approved.
I got the email from the BO campaign about the five dollars for Denver and Obama’s “Big Event”. Here’s my answer:
Mr. Plouffe,
Being acutely aware of the dire financial straights in which the Democratic National Committee currently finds itself, I’m frankly appalled that Senator Obama would find it prudent to stage such a bizarre and costly event in his own honor. I fail to grasp either the merit or the necessity of such an act of grandstanding. Must we all, as Democrats, be subjected to the derision sure to come from the opposition party and their allied media outlets simply to satiate Senator Obama’s gargantuan ego? This isn’t “American Idol”, Mr. Plouffe, it’s a presidential election, a very serious matter.
What disturbs me most is the degree to which your entire campaign is so lacking of substance. It has devolved into little more than a showcase for Senator Obama to spout his grandiose speeches from a teleprompter all the while refusing to debate his opponent. America deserves more, Mr. Plouffe. We need solutions, not incoherent policy shifts and pomposity.
Oh, and sorry, I need the five dollars to help get me to Denver so I can register my protest of this idiocy.
Sincerely,
antifish

OMG! Where did you get this? Was this aired at all? It should be. Shows how arrogant, condescending, and elitist BHO. With a mostly black audience, he sure knows how to talk down on his own people. Wow, so he calls working class white people desperate, gun-totting and bible-clinging, and then black people basically hopeless and delusional (for thinking they can be successful in athletics and the arts). So who among the Americans are in the right track in his eyes? Oh right, Ayers, Rezko, and Jeremiah Wright!

Don’t fall for it. It’s a trick to get people to donate. They say they will only award to 10 people. Do you really believe you’ll be one of the 10? Barack Hussein Obama Refused: “I Did Not Want To Concede”
June, 2008 By Marie Jon
How does one who claims to be a follower of Jesus Christ help to legislate killing the unborn? It is a complete contradiction to the teachings of the Bible (”You shall not murder” [Exodus 20:13].
As an Illinois state senator, Barack H. Obama refused to support legislation to protect babies that survived late-term abortions, claiming “I did not want to concede.”
To what was Obama referring? His statement was in reference to babies that were fully outside their mothers’ wombs. Thus, Obama did not want to concede the fact that babies who survived a late term abortion were in fact “persons.” He was the only senator of the Democrat Party to speak against baby protection legislation. He was the only legislator from either side of the political isle that took his position.
In 2002, the Illinois State Legislature passed the Infant Liability Act to outlaw the inhumane practice of infanticide. There was never a thought that this bill would be opposed. However, Obama opposed it on two different occasions — first by trying to limit discussion and then trying to block a vote on it in the committee he chaired.
How presumptuous. Obama must actually believe what is said of him by Louis Farrakhan (who praised Obama as “Hope of entire world” at the Nation of Islam’s Saviour’s Day event). Obama tried to play God when it came to life and death of babies.
What did the Savior of the World say about children? “But who so shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” (Matthew 18:6) Clearly, babies who survive abortions and are breathing on their own are children.
Obama is a hypocrite betraying those who are black. “79% of Planned Parenthood clinics are placed in target minority neighborhoods. Almost half of all African-American children conceived are aborted. And while accounting for only 13% of the population, African-American women submit to an enormous 35% of all abortions in the United States.” — Gerald Korson
It is written: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27-29) So, who does Barrack listen to? Is it only the words of his liberal and controversial pastor, who preaches an Afrocentric doctrine?
Because widespread acceptance of abortion has become the norm in our society, millions have become desensitized. Abortions result in the death of a living human being. Late term abortions are the most hideous and cruel variety of all. Unfortunately, too many Americans have a distorted view of the word “abortion.” They refuse to call it “killing” or “murder” because they do not equate it with such acts.
There was a time when pro-abortionists told us that having an abortion wasn’t all that bad; first trimester only, or if the woman’s life was endangered. However, when confronted with the truth of the matter — illustrations, photos and fully documented medical procedures — pro- abortionists had the nerve to become offended. What were they offended by? The ugliness and depravity. How dare those of us who choose life introduce reality into the debate!
Many people pride themselves as progressive, open minded, and tolerant. They just might as well pride themselves as being people who can rationalize human kindness natural emotions out of any issue. They who convince themselves to condone murder view anyone who is concerned about abortion as not being “enlightened.”
Do you kind of wonder if these pro- abortionists could discuss Nazism with the same degree of tolerance? Perhaps so; the far left have often referred to the Bush administration using similar references (i.e. “Nazis” and “baby-killers” regarding the Iraq war).
Obama dispassionately listened to the testimony of a nurse, Jill Stanek, who described hearing a baby’s cry that could be heard down the hall during a late term abortion in a hospital in Illinois. Another nurse placed the dying child in a soiled utility room to die. “I couldn’t bear the thought of this suffering child lying alone in a soiled utility room, so I cradled and rocked him for the 45 minutes that he lived.”
Excerpts From: Obama Is the Most Pro-Abortion Candidate Ever
“Barack Obama is the most pro-abortion presidential candidate ever.
“He is so pro-abortion he refused as an Illinois state senator to support legislation to protect babies who survived late-term abortions because he did not want to concede — as he explained in a cold-blooded speech on the Illinois Senate floor — that these babies, fully outside their mothers’ wombs, with their hearts beating and lungs heaving, were in fact ‘persons.’
” ‘Persons,’ of course, are guaranteed equal protection of the law under the 14th Amendment.
“In 2004, U.S. Senate-candidate Obama mischaracterized his opposition to this legislation. Now, as a presidential frontrunner, he should be held accountable for what he actually said and did about the Born Alive Infants Bill.
“State and federal versions of this bill became an issue earlier this decade because of “induced labor abortion.” This is usually performed on a baby with Down’s Syndrome or another problem discovered on the cusp of viability. A doctor medicates the mother to cause premature labor. Babies surviving labor are left untreated to die.”
And to think that this man wants to become America’s president. According to National Journal, Barack Hussein Obama is the most liberal presidential candidate within the Democrat Party. The “Yes We Can” lofty oracle prides himself on being the most pro-abortion candidate ever.
