DENVER! We are coordinating our efforts with 18Millionvoices, the group that has been working on Denver for weeks now. We want to reach out and share whatever we can so that efforts are not duplicated and we get the biggest number of Puma PAC members to Denver as is humanly possible. Events will be starting on August 24th, including protest rallies and marches. 18Millionvoices has already been on the ground there and is far along in the process of permitting and planning. They also have EXCELLENT housing and logistical teams working on the nuts and bolts.
We are ALL in this TOGETHER Pumas, so let’s stay connected. Check out the 18Millionvoices site. As always, detailed plans will often be coordinated in less public forums, so do not fret if our website or theirs does not answer every question you may have. Here’s the link to 18Million, and they are now in the blogroll as well.
REMEMBER: If you want to go to Denver or ARE going to Denver, PLEASE send us an email at gotodenver@pumapac.org and give us the details of your plans — how many, when, and FROM where. Also let us know if you NEED, WANT, or DON’T NEED help in getting to Denver. Send specific questions to denverquestions@pumapac.org.
ALSO: PLEASE consider contributing to our EXCLUSIVE Buses to Denver Fund. It costs at least $200 per person on a bus, so please consider sponsoring part or all of a Puma PAC bus ride for yourself or someone else. We can’t guarantee that we’ll have enough to send buses from every major city, but we will do our ABSOLUTE BEST to get as many buses rolling to Colorado as we can!

Now I’m getting depressed. I *really* want to go to Denver. Problem is I looked at the calendar, and teachers kind of have to be there for the first week of school.
Hehe, I’m doing my essay for Introduction to Government, and one of my questions is:
“1. Define public opinion? How is public opinion formed? How does mass media and party identification affect public opinion? ”
I thought it appropriate since I’m reading the blog while writing my response
.
Hmm, how is public opinion manipulated or how is it formed?
Inu, I love you too. You don’t know what it means to know that a wonderful young man like you is working for our cause. It just makes my heart swell up with pride. You are awesome!
I’m going down to round up the troops.

Oh thank you! You’re making me blush! You’re awesome too! Thank you so much!

Goodnight Dances!
Goodnight Pumas!

# 505 Billie Jo, It is eight dollars per night to camp at the Cherry something campground, its beautiful. I am going on a wing and a prayer, I will be lucky to have fifty bucks to bring with me, but go I will, I feel it is something I must do. Also, I haven’t heard if we will be allowed to sleep on the buses if we cant get a campsite.
# 600 Trish, hey whatever gets you through the night, and it could also help with your pain. Isnt it legal in Canada anyway?
# 859 My kids too have voted for Hillary, and they will again in November!!!
Murphy, any idea how many of us have signed up so far to go to Denver?
My nine year old son will be selling lemonade with me this week so I can have some money for Denver! Bless His Heart, he loves his mommy.
I am beyond excited to go to Denver, it will be one of the highlights of my life, and I am proud to be one of many to represent the Pumas!
Goodnight Pumas, see you tomorrow.

Democrats worried about money.
Do you guys know anything about protest areas in Denver being fenced off? A friend mentioned something about that to me today.
Alright, I finished part of my midterm assignment, so I’m gonna head on to bed and finish the rest tomorrow.
Nighty night, PUMAs!
Goodnight piepie and sorry Roxy I haven’t heard about that.

Hi PUMAs,
This is my 1st post today. I missed you guys.
The question about public opinion is wonderful. You might want to use gallop poll website to talk about different categories of voters:
-male
-female
-age
-college education…
Most importantly say that public opinion reflects thoughts of the voters.
You might enjoy this article.

Also read this one.

This is probably posted here on the blog, but just in case you haven’t seen it, it might be something else to be used to get superdelegates to switch to Hillary.
http://clintondems.com/2008/07/must-read-and-pass-along-to-all-you-know/
The final thing that might do the trick is showing them that acording to the latest poll 43% of Americans WANT HILLARY to be the nominee. YAHOO!
Hi anonymous! Unfortunately I think everyone has gone onto bed so I plan on heading that way too. Sorry I can’t stick around and chat! Have a great night and we’ll see you tomorrow!
And ah so it was 43. I knew 48 was too high.
Thank you
pa dem, great articles and I never would have seen them if you didn’t post them. Thanks.
Notice that the press is already complaining about not getting hotel rooms in Denver because everything is booked. I still think everyone should call up any connection they think they have, church, sorority, fraternity, soccer, bike club, triathlon group, pride parade organizers etc, etc, etc. and ask if they know anyone who has room at their private homes for a few folks from PUMA. And I am serious, I would call the Denver Republican party if I had to, to find private homes to stay in.
Also regarding the article on Michelle O. I resent the way the Obamaites thought they would just shove MO in my face she would take the place of Hillary. I realize that her makeover, View appearance, Vogue photo shoot, and cookie contest were aimed at women like me and I find it condescending. Why would I want to bond with the wife of a sexist pig when I could have had the best presidential candidate ever, Hillary. I don’t dislike MO I just don’t care one way or another about her. But I love Hillary, she is tough and she is fair and she was the best candidate.
TOPICS: CNN Story & Denver Preparations
Saturday’s CNN story was just soo far off base as to be comical. Too bad they didn’t allow for posting online about that story, StarDust you summed it up:
“I’m not voting for Obama – Accept THAT!”
Seattlegirl #28,
Maybe it was posted before but I found this link off the womenstate.blogspot about the convention in Denver interesting, especially this part:
“if the police are overly aggressive, they will be criticized as overreacting.”
A good reminder for those of us going to Denver to stay positive, keep our cool, maybe have a buddy system in place? Here’s the article:

I’ll be going to bed soon too. I’m in CA, it’s 1:00a.m. I usually stay up much later, but my uncle woke me up at 7:00a.m. today to to the market.
Just wanted to share with you and other Rodham PUMAs:
I went to the fair on 4th of July to help out for Johnny McCain. Started out very slow. But we got more people towards the end. My uncle was spying on me, and taking lots of pictures. I AM SO EMBARRASSED! ( I’m sorry; I can’t spell).
GOOD NEWS!!! HBOs people hardly had anybody come over. However, they had a table and we had a tent. If I go tomorrow, I’ll bring some decorations. (Unless I hear from the guy who’s in charge). I am going to bring balloons, and CD player to play some music, and WATER!!! (I’ll bring some ice too).
This will crack you up. In April we held caucuses to select delegates to go to the convention for Hillary. It was very hot, and I bought: ice cream, pepsi, water, and cups, with bowls. So, when I came, I unloaded the trunk, and one of the people in charge saw the ice cream and said: “Do we have bowls for all of this wonderful ice cream?” He made me feel very upset.
But everyone (including him) enjoyed it.
Good night!
TOPIC: Superdelegates & Letter-writing
With all this talk about letter-writing (& skills data base, if there is one being compiled), might as well fess up to 20+ years writing /editing.
Communicating w/Superdelegates:
Everyone’s busy, including (especially?) superdels. The letter I’m using basically focuses on 2 things in its “case” for Hillary:
* experience / expertise
* electability (against McCain)
In the last analysis I believe it will be basically these two matters that will open the minds of the super dels.
NOT “you so-and-so, you did this or that, Dean’s an idiot,” blah-blah-blah. We can tell the media we think they’ve been sexist, but not the Superdelegates.
So this is the letter / note I have been using, plagiarize at will:
This short note concerns my request to you, a Superdelegate for the Democratic Party. I’ll start by quoting a letter you received a month or two ago from Hillary Clinton.
“We simply cannot afford another four – or eight – years in the wilderness. That is why, everywhere I go, people come up to me, grip my hand or arm, and urge me to keep on running. That is why I continue in this race: because I believe I am best prepared to lead this country as President – and best prepared to put together a broad coalition of voters to break the lock Republicans have had on the electoral map and beat Senator John McCain in November.”
As you well know, the many failings of the Bush administration has been nothing but a long 8-year nightmare for everyone in the Democratic Party. Recent polls showing Obama and McCain in a “dead heat” underscore the fact that the Democratic Party needs a STRONG candidate who can beat McCain. Hillary is still ahead in the states that have been critical to victory in the past two elections.
With the strongest grasp of foreign affairs, the best universal health care plan and most focused plan to fix the economy, Hillary is ready to take to the stage with Senator McCain and fight for the principles of the Democratic Party.
As a lifelong Democrat and former Precinct worker, it’s my ardent hope and prayer that you will keep an open mind about Hillary Clinton, and about the future of our Party between now and the Convention in August.
Thanks for listening, and have a beautiful day.

Don’t be depressed. We need you to take action to help us get Hillary nominated. (Are you teaching K-12 or College?) I will cheer as loudly as I can for Hillary, and gang from my living room.
Oh, before I forget. I was spying yesterday on the HBOs table at the fair, and two women at the table said to one another: “You know, a lot of people after such a huge loss like Hillary get depression. It was so close.” I thought to myself that they are TOTAL “bad people”.
Did you guys also see an article about HBO saying that his trip to Iraq will change his policy? He even said according to FoxNews that he will have ALL of the troops out of Iraq by 2013. I’ll make a flyer with it for tomorrow, so that we could tell people about it. I’ll ask if we can turn it into signs. That could work against HBO.
Hopefully I’ll be there tomorrow to get more people to vote for us. We are having a Grand Opening for our Headquarters office in my area on Friday. It would be great. I am going to ask if the guy in charge will get the newspapers and ABC News come and interview us. It would be a lot of fun.
I’m seriously falling asleep. Good night.
#31 hillistheone
We should also mention that according to the new CNN poll, 43% of Democrats want Hillary to be the nominee, and now 54% of Hillary supporters will vote for HBO–down from 60% last month, and 42% said that they will vote for McCain or not vote at all. Those are crucial numbers to throw at them.
Maybe we should use those numbers in one of the ads? Or use the numbers and HBOs Iraq policy as well as other flip-flops for an ad in Newspaper?
What do you think?
OK now here’s the “real” letter, and I hope it makes you laugh!
Dear So and so,
This election year has been a joke. Who in the history of humankind do you think you’re fooling?
We all know you drank the KoolAid and gave spiked KoolAid to the media. Still, how could you be so idiotic as to throw your support behind a newbie Senator with a checkered past and family ties with controversial, racist church pastors…and expect Mainstream America to vote him into office in the Fall?!
Where did you go to school, anyway? Don’t you know ANYTHING about how to elect a President into office?!? You have to appeal to a WIDE range of voters; yes, that means women, men, blacks, whites, and yes, even (especially!) Latinos! Don’t you realize the Hispanic vote can make or break a candidate in big states like California and Texas?
Hispanics are trying to figure out who to vote for, and all you can offer them is a candidate no right-minded Catholic would go near with a 10-foot pole.
Even some long-time Republicans I know have said wistfully, “I’d rather vote for Hillary Clinton!”
You big dodo, you did it again. You picked us a weak candidate, and a flip-flopper. How could you be so senile as to have already forgotten how much the voters hated John Kerry for “flip-flopping?” Well maybe they didn’t hate him…but after the Swift Boaters got done with him, they sure did.
What kind of hair-brained Idiot are you, anyway? Get real, get with the program. If you don’t back HRC, I’m going to vote for McCain!
Besides all of this, no one’s going to vote for a candidate from Oahu. That’s not even part of the United States! I know this because they eat macaroni. And rice. Together.
Signed,
Disgusted and Done with the Democratic Party
PUMAs ALERT!!!
This freaked me out big time. READ IT PLEASE!!! Once again, be very careful. You never know if you’ll run into HBOs maniac. Stay safe.

Anonymous: I like the idea of using the poll numbers, too! I just didn’t put them in mine because they change so frequently.
The way I see it, after 8 years of Republican Nightmare getting a Dem into office “should have been” a no-brainer, so I just stick w/that point because nobody can really argue with it.
p.s. thanks for responding, I’m still new here & it means a lot. But now I need to go to bed. Laughing, at least, at my own jokes (see “real” letter)! ;D
Anonymous: I just read it, horrible response. But what was your take?
I think he was just saying he’s afraid McCain could win if people defect, that was his reference to “facists.” Big deal. People who live from a place of fear bore me.
I think that he was referring to us–Hillary supporters as fascists. He said “Remember how you voted”. I think he was referring to us. That maked me feel paranoid.
#6 PA dem: Consider sponsoring me (via PUMApac) to go in your place. I am a substitute teacher, and I can decline any assignment I want. I’m going, and I have no idea how I’m paying for it yet.

I don’t mean to offend you, but I’ve been through a lot of dangers in my life. September 11th, was a horrifying event for me. My sister was 1 block away from Twin Towers and couldn’t get home for more than 5 hours. We were all very afraid, and she even thought of moving to Australia for 6 months after 9/11.
A.T. Kearney, the company who she worked for had an office in Australia, and a lot of her colleagues moved there.
Our grandfather lost his family in Holocaust. After USSR fell apart, police were giving addresses to the killers of people who were moving to other countries, so they would go to their apartments or houses, kill them and steal the money. They were mafia. It was very scary. The headlines in the NATIONAL newspapers read: “Kill the Jews, Rescue Russia”. When we left I was 13.5 years old, and those events will continue to make me feel more nervous about certain events.
We have police right outside where we live, but we had break-ins in our “community”. We have about 50 or so townhouses.
Unfortunatelly life is very dangerous today. Stay safe in Denver.
Good morning folks, Thanks for the info. Late for work. Client arriving from D.C. today. Pa Dem, All teachers should be encouraged to go to Denver. History in the making. Have a productive day everyone!

I don’t know about signs… but do you realize that a lot of Hillary Supporters are still waiting for the Convention hoping she gets the VP spot. So if she doen’t those numbers will raise dramatically as they too switch to a PUMA-McCain NoBo-policy.
Saw a t-shirt on one site today with the logo, “DeMcCrat” so maybe our name should be PumaCrats.
nite and good morning all at the same time…
Hello and Good Morning Pumas,
I got a call yesterday from our local Democrats. I was at work so they spoke with my husband. They asked him to help put “O” in the White House. He asked them why should we vote for “O” the guy on the phone said becuase McCain will destroy America with another war and we will end up being a 3rd world country.
My husband informed the guy that he was speaking to a proud US Navy Submariner and he could not vote for someone like “O”. That guy had the nerve to ask if he could speak with me. My hubby told him sure call back after 8:00pm. I am sure you would love to tell you how she feels. They didn’t call back. Oh Darn.
35, 40 anonymous…
Here’s the reason why *I* think the BHO supporters get so crazy and based upon what media was saying all along during the primaries: BHO supporters feel inspired but can’t tell you what his policies are or why they are voting for him. By comparison, Hillary Supporters say, isn’t she smart and I am voting for her because of policy issue 1,2,3 etc.
So the bottom line is, BHO instills gut feelings; whereas Hillary supporters actually THINK!
Good Morning PUMAS,
I just bought in my paper and it said thousands of peoplr do not know there voting rights have been restored, all non violent felons can regester to vote. It also said most of them are dems . My paper suports no name

#21 – thanks for the links to articles. I posted this comment on the first one:
Labeling any criticism of Michelle Obama as sexist, like labeling any criticism of Senator Obama as racist, does no service to the cause of eliminating sexism and racism in our public dialogue.
It is a fact of life that political wives will be scrutinized and their words and actions, past and present, will be discussed. On this they are fair game, and they know it.
By the Obama campaign calling the Clintons racists, he who had the first cabinet to ‘look like America’, and she who has fought racism since hearing MLK speak as a young woman, was unconscionable.
Please call out anyone using sexist arguments against Michelle Obama; but don’t equate what has been said up to this point with what was done to Hillary all these years, and by the big-name media pundits during the primaries.
#31 hillstheone – I DO like your first letter! I feel like too many of the communications posted are way too long – the receiver will not read past the 1st paragraph.

Just a reminder, the women’s beach volleyball olympic trials are on ABC today, live from Colorado. My daughter has made her P.U.M.A sign ready for the camera’s. If they interview her she will give a shout out on our blog! If anyone can do it her and my grand daughter can!
Lieberman just said on George Stephanopolis, Which obama are we going to see govern after the election?lol
He talked about how he “shifts” his stances on Iraq etc. He said McCain is better suited to deal with the war.
Right prpl new day, new position
Face the Nation has that wimp Kerry on . . . he is up for re-election this year. I have been e-mailing all my friends and associates requesting they consider not voting for him because of his endorsement of Obama BEFORE the MA Primary.
Re: Cashing In on Obama and McCain
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/06/business/06metrics.html?th&emc=th
Presumptive nominees “spent more than $900 million through the end of May, about $470 million more than was spent on primaries in 2000, when both major parties last had competitive primary battles. Nearly half of the current spending has been paid to just a few dozen companies.”
“To be sure, some of the companies that received the highest payments passed the money on to other vendors. The Obama campaign, for example, paid $85 million to GMMB, a media consulting firm. But $69 million of that was used to buy advertising time, which means that much of the money paid to GMMB ended up at local television and radio stations.”
Phil Graham on Face the Nation is also hitting on Obama changing his mind every other week. Looks like the self-ordained messiah may have overestimated
his charm.
Good morning fellow PUMA’s … is padem online… i’d like to get together with you sometime to talk by phone… i need help here in this big state…anyone else from PA????

#35 about Ybarra –
Now we know why voters rights are not being protected. The committee chairman is nuts. That just shows what kind of stinking thinking is going on inside the DNC that has produced a candidate like BO. And he is a Superdelegate?

Sorry so silent fuzzybear has been feelinng down last few days- a physical thing not a mental thing-but am feeling much better today. You guys have always kept me pumped up.
On blogtalkradio last week amember from one of the PUMA organizations said “…there are many ways to get to an Obama defeat in November..” all are valid we have to look at it like basketball.
There are one point, two point, and three point shots against the big “o”. Think of those who stay home or dont vote for president on their ballot as a one point shot against team obama. Those who vote third party or write in Hillary where allowed as a two point shot, and those who vote McCain as a three point shot.
We need to use all these shots to attain victory they are all equally important to getting the job done. If you do any one of the above choices you are playing for “Team PUMA” . You are helping us get past the final four. We are going to win this but we cannot win in overtime.
WE have to all play together as a well oiled and TEAM. It means respecting the other players on your team and throwing them the ball and trusting them to go down court with it.
I saw this in the NCAA Gator BBall team 2006/2007, that is what we have to be like. Not acting like one mind (the obamanation way) but each mind focused on what we can do to to contribute to the big Victory and respecting each players contribution to the effort.
So the question is what is fuzzybear going to do, a one, two, or three point shot? You all will have to wait and see depends what we need when I take that ball down the court in the last 3 seconds of the game.

I met with a local meetup group yesterday in Oakland California today.
We are getting organized to help plan for Denver, and for marches within our state to coordinate with other major cities across the country.
We had people attend from San Jose, San Francisco and San Ramon as well as Oakland. The organizer is also planning a conference call with Southern Ca.
If you are in the state, please go to this site and join us.

It was a great time brainstorming and sharing ideas.
I even met the famous Normita.
Please join us if you are in Calif. to ensure our state organizes a HUGE number of participants.
Morning PUMAS. Always read all the comments in order to get a feel for the direction of the discussion. I did donate to Hillary’s campaign when she was running, but cannot donate at the present for this great cause. Have been unemployed long enough that it is really pinching. Work will pick up I’m sure in the not too distant future, meantime I can contribute ideas…..
Taking cameras and camera phones I feel is essential in Denver as well as the buddy system. The opposition has already spent a great deal of time (to good effect) keeping this many people out of the public eye. With everyone taking video, and pictures they can’t possibly shut all the windows to what is going on. It is up to us to get the “real”, story out. The media won’t.
Okay, last weeks AOL poll is all RED. 62% McCain, 38% BO.
Any ideas why this is? Over 308,000 voted. Do young people not get AOL? I’m confused.
#57 Pouncingpuma,
Thank you very much. It is great indeed to know that for generations to come, they will know how important this election has been on so many levels, and in the present, we still have an opportunity to break that glass ceiling. I think it is because of his so called outreach to the evangelicals. His faith based promise of money…..these preachers have a lot of influence on their congregations. I mean no offense to anyone here. I have been to many of these churches in Houston, and in Indiana, and Chicago, so I know. Just look at Trinity. That I am ashamed to say is why I don’t go to church anymore. I go to church to hear the word, to get fed spiritually, not to hear politics, or reverse racism that is being preached in many today.
Polls manipulate the masses depending on who’s paying for it , I read a poll where they had poll 200 more democrats than republicans and less Independents. Many democrats because of this primary have registered as Independents, last report I read 35% of dems had registered Independents since the primaries (I think more by now ) so to get an actual polling you need to poll all groups equally and they don’t.

Great video – should be shown to all the young kool-ade drinkers.
Even though for now, it seems tha junior is ahead, I can not believe the rest of the nation is sucking their thumbs, the goverment(not BUSH), the institution, etc
by the way
Has junior passed SECURITY CLEARENCE????
for sure the republicans want the boy to be the nominee, and they are not going to do the job for HILLARY of putting their deveatating machinery at full blast now, and the undemocratic party changes for HILLARY, in which in term they would be trouble to win
therefore, I think the republicans and their medias are waiting until after denver
I think you are 100% correct storytellers!! They (the republican) never wanted Hillary in because they knew they couldn’t beat her.
I think after the convention they will come out in full force against Obama!!
Too bad for the stupid Democrats. Which I hate to say I am a member of.

#73 I don’t believe the polls. They are skewed towards Obama.
Good morning PUMAs. Just wanted to make a few comments. Someone told me a story this morning that I think fits the PUMAs. It went something like this – If your standing on the train tracks and you see a train coming with its whistle blowing, you better pay attention!!!! I know some of you are good with graphics and I could envision a cartoon with Dean, Pelosi and Donna standing on the tracks, a train with PUMAs driving and whistle with the words PUMA being blown. Now having said that, I’m not suggesting in any way that we want to Kill or do bodily harm to any of those people. It is just a statement that we are on the move. Thoughts??? Now keep putting coals on the fire all of my PUMA family. Let’s keep this train moving. Thanks to everyone for all they do.

What is PUMApac’s policy on Images.
MURPHY IMAGE POLICY
If you don’t have a PCB policy yet, I can just submit my images and then you can decided whether or not you want to post them. I just don’t want to add an additional burden to you or your email box. If I knew what the policy is, I would self-censor.
Dear Pumas,
I sent our admirable Senator Obama a word or two of praise this morning. (Okay, my sarcasm is showing again.) Anyhow, I thought you’d enjoy this …
********************
Dear Senator Obama,
I admire you commitment to get our troops out of Iraq, and I admire your pending plans to visit Iraq to talk with military commanders on the ground.
What I don’t admire, however, is the way you’re going about this. When John McCain suggested a joint trip, you couldn’t be bothered. Now you plan to do this on your own. Here’s what it says to me:
- You are not someone who will reach across the aisle to work with Republicans. Rather, you will shut them out and do things your own way.
- You will never give credit to other people for their good ideas. You will take all the credit yourself.
- You don’t really believe in transparency in government. You obviously don’t want John McCain to be privy to your discussions with military commanders in Iraq. Why not? So you can lie about those meetings, mischaracterize what military commanders tell you, and twist the facts to suit your needs?
Why do you keep touting yourself as a man of good judgment, yet consistently display bad judgment in everything you do?
DWP — our image policy is that all artwork and designs from Puma PAC members is WELCOME! We will credit artists for their work, but require that all images be delivered copyright-free to us for use and modification by Puma PAC.
Please email me or MP with more specific questions.
Thank you for the image you sent — it is gorgeous!
Murphy,
I hope you are having a restful day as well. You certainly deserve it.
Would it be possible for you to post what impact our donation blitz had to help retire Hillary’s debt somewhere at top of our page when you are able to get some info?
Some of us have limited time at computer and aren’t always able to read through all posts. That will be my story tomorrow.
I am sure many others would be grateful as well.

I just got a call from someone with LaRouche. She had my name and phone number from a donation I gave them in 2006. If you have never been to his website, please visit. She was soliciting money to put out a DVD of the video on their website “1932.” Also, there is a 24 page dossier on the website “Is George Soros your enemy?” I finally donated $15 because she wouldn’t quit talking. LOL! Anyway, here is the website:
http://www.larouchepac.com/
Does anyone know how to put this video on U-Tube? Also, we need to send it to all the pro-Clinton websites for viewing. LaRouche is having a wecast on Tuesday, July 22 from 1-4. You can listen in and ask questions and interact.
Has anyone going to Denver thought about renting a small plane with a sign? There will be security restrictions of course, but possibly a couple of days before the convention to get attention focused on Pumas. Also, what about billboards in Denver area?

***GRAPHICS AND DOCUMENTS FOR PUMA PAC***
Graphics and documents submitted to PUMA PAC for posting and/or use are considered to be an in-kind donation and become the property of PUMA PAC, royalty and license-free.
Some tips:
If submitting flyers for home printing, be sparing with full color spreads. Printer ink is expensive, which is why most of ours utilize text and small pics.
If submitting flyers for professional printing, sky’s the limit, but try to restrict to a letter or legal size document.
If submitting graphics – please make sure they are in .jpg, .jpeg, .tiff, or .gif, or .bmp format. I can take .psd files, but Murphy can not. Also be sure to CITE the original if it is not a graphic of your creation. Many pics and graphics online are not royalty free and are licensed.
If submitting documents – please submit in WORD or WPD format – we will need to add the logo and legal statement to all documents. I can accept .txt and .rtf too, but they do not allow graphic components.
The kinds of documents you submit are endless – we have business cards (great for leaving with tips and in inconspicuous places), postcards, fliers, pamphlets, brochures, etc. on our Action Site at http://www.pumapacusa.org.
It is OK to use another document for inspiration, but please DON’T revise it and send it to me because you don’t like something about it. I can not post revisions to documents from anyone other than the author, excluding typos and formatting issues.
Graphics and documents should be sent to me at MarylandPUMA@gmail.com with GRAPHIC (Or DOCUMENT) SUBMISSION in the Subject line, a brief description of what it is, and your PUMA username.
Any questions, please let me know!
Thanks,

To all who already did this – thanks. To those who have not yet – please help.
We have gone from 11 Diggs at 8 pm last night to 77 now. We needed 50 diggs to be make it “hot news” on the front page, 150 or more would make it one of the the top stories. We need to get this done so it gets the attention it deserves, and after the weekend, if we can get it to be a “top story” article, maybe some of the MSM will reference it.
If you have not read the Puma Declaration of Objections here is direct link: http://annabellep.wordpress.com/2008…-of-objections

Announcement
Apparently we set off some sort of a controversy last evening when one of our Pumas sent in a picture of the arrogant one’s mural located on a building in TX. I’m not sure what all the fuss is about, because this ‘mural’ is a clear example of the man’s arrogance and the weirdness of his followers. Anyway, the picture that our Puma braved the BO realm to take for us was posted in the images on the Action Center.
The reason it was posted was because pumas had been discussing it and wanting to know what it looked like, and we thought maybe some of our graphic artist pumas would like to have a crack at it just for fun. However, apparently some of our pumas found its presence offensive, whereas most of us saw it for what it clearly is – ARROGANT and WEIRD.
So I’m looking for a vote here, since this is after all, a democracy. LOL
How many people would like the mural picture to stay to allow our puma cubs to play with it, bat it around a bit in their graphics programs, and how many would just like it to go?
Shout out your yeas or nays now pumas!
I’ll collect your votes throughout the day.

————————————-
DancesWithPumas – the only restriction, other than what Murphy pointed out, would be bandwidth and server space restrictions. I’m not sure what the exact amount of space is off top of my head, I paid for the minimal at setup until I could see where this was going to go. If we get to the point where we are getting too close on bandwidth and server storage space, I may have to put a donation link on the page so we can buy more space/bandwidth.

RE:
1. DENVER MARCH
2. OBAMA MURAL
Re: The Denver March – One poster asked about fencing. I have heard the same thing as well, that a fence will be all around the building and that protesters will have to be on the outside of the fence. As far as police go, there have been serveral insightful comments on the blogs and I think they all capture important points. One noted saying “thank you” to the police who will be there to protect you as much as anyone else. Other posts noted experiences with the police during demonstration sthat have not been so great (probably many of us baby boomers have had such experiences during protests, civil disobedience, etc) and went as far as being violent and dangerous. Others have noted how there will be a lot of people there will various agendas. History shows that often even the best of intention regarding non-violence go awry, not to mention that it is not uncommon to have people planted to ignite violence. So, I’d say, all in all, it’s best to have your antenae out and be prepared for anything. It’s such an important issue that I would imagine that anyone organizing a group protest would address this in terms of an agreed upon code of conduct as well as education regarding what to do in various scenarios.
2. Re: The mural. I don’t care whether it stays on the web site or not. It’s trivial to me and not cause for any concern or distraction. So, that’s my vote – kinda’ like staying home on election day! I’ll have to live with whatever the rest of the group decides.

#133 PA4HILL08
I see no problem with leaving it up so PUMAs can play with it. I like the ideas of replacing the “H” with an “N” or a “D.”
For those PUMAs who are offended by it, maybe we should add a disclaimer to the image so no one mistakenly thinks we in any way agree with its intended message, although, to be perfectly honest I don’t see how anyone could possibly come to that conclusion…..
Good afternoon my Puma Friends.. I haven’t read all of the comments yet; will have to do that later.

The list of media insanity is so long is unbelievable. Your post reminds me. For anyone wanting to write an Op-Ed piece or a Letter to the Editor that would got to regional papers and national publications, Clinton Democrats have a link that hook you up to a page on the DNC (gag) web site whereby you can type in your zip code and it will pull up all the regional papers in your area along with major national papers. You can then type in your letter and when you hit send, I believe it then automatically goes out to all of the publications. (Beware, since it’s the DNC web site, they have talking points to suggest for letters that of course, tout the Democratic party as the best, but we know what our talking points are!)
Thank you Ms. Trish Rodham Canada

I have to admit that I had not thought of our work in the historical perspective but you ARE SO RIGHT!

Yet here we are, banding together, working together and commending each other’s efforts.
We are a powerful force that will change history.
***************************************
I think we PUMA can adopt these traits of the Puma, in that we should ALL, every single PUMA, organize personally and locally. And since the PUMA ranges or a very wide territory, we can work the ground quite effectively. If each of us just change one voter to our cause, this doubles, effectively, what each of us do with our powerful one vote.
I dont find the mural offensive. Its information that makes me want to work even harder to get Hillary in the White House!
#166 FEATHERSONWIND RE: THE CONVENTION
No one really knows what’s going on. But, I think it’s safe to say that PUMApac and other grassroots orgs are very focused on the convention and have been, to ensure that Hillary’s name is on the ballot and that votes are cast accordingly. That said, your post is a great reminder to all of us that time is of the essence and there is a short and finite amount of it left for us to prioritize how and where we put our effort. I’m sure many of us have contacted the DNC, but perhaps it’s a good time to remember to do so again, and again, and again. Also, good to let Clinton’s campaign know how strongly we feel that she be on the ballot.

Getting sponsors to help pay for your trip to Denver
#39 Annabelle I posted this yesterday but thought I would bring it up again. Maybe if people going to Denver asked family and/or supportive friends to help send them to Denver. Ask them to give what they can. It’s hard asking others for money but people do this all the time, especially kids in school that need sponsors for athletic or educational trips.
Just a thought… oh and let them know it is no tax deductible. Who knows? Even an addtional $50 or $100 bucks would help alot, I am sure.
Good luck and thanks for representing us!
mural vote: although his face makes me ill, I say we leave it and let the graphic designers do their thing.
I wonder if any of you have ever come across this? To me, it helps answer the question as to why paying down Hillary’s debt is not all that imperative at this point in time.

Obama, Clinton agree to DNC fundraising agreement
Posted: 03:30 PM ET
From CNN Associate Political Editor Rebecca Sinderbrand
Howard Dean is the chairman of the Democratic National Committee.
Howard Dean is the chairman of the Democratic National Committee.
WASHINGTON (CNN) — The Democratic Party has reached an unusual joint fundraising agreement with both its remaining presidential candidates, Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.
The agreement, announced Wednesday, creates a new entity, the “Democratic White House Victory Fund” — a move which will allow both candidates to fundraise for the cash-strapped Democratic National Committee, and to help shoulder some of their primary and general election expenses. John McCain has already created his own Victory Fund with the Republican National Committee – but those funds are usually created after a nominee has been decided.”

The biggest reason to pay off Hillary’s debt is timing. The joint fundraising described in the article will put Hillary’s debt at the bottom of the trickle down and her vendors are not likely to see a thing until after the election.
We want Hillary to be free of this and able to pursue the nomination in August.

Obamabots, this could be your Dancing With The Stars moment!
You remember Hillary, right? The dependable, wonky, pantsuited princess who did everything Precious did only backwards, uphill, blistered, battered, blindfolded and in heels! The gal that you all mercilessly smeared because she had the gall to stay in the dancehall ‘til the last dance.
Well, nobody puts Baby in a corner. She’s tanned, rested, and ready. And there’s 18 million of us who’ve still got her back. And it’s not too late to use your collective platforms (blogs, not shoes) to help sway public opinion in Hillary’s favor. Obama is not officially the nominee until the superdelegates cast their votes in Denver. If there is a tsunami of support for Hillary leading up to the convention, the superdelegates will put their fingers up in the air and feel that the political winds have shifted. You can still help make this happen. You can still say No Deal!
Or you can continue to embarrass yourselves by standing by your right-moonwalker after he’s left you for a hotter, more elusive voting bloc. It’s your call. Just know that as long as you continue to chase him unconditionally, you’ll compromise the progressive values that you proclaim to care so deeply about. Be careful. Don’t end up like poor, knocked-up Penny in Dirty Dancing.
Great video by BoyThreeOne! If you have not seen it yet, check it out. Great music too!

I guess I will weigh in on the Mural. I deal with the meaning of art in my profession, and I cannot imagine why anyone would want to portray themselves in that arrogant posture. Also, the coloring to me is very strange. Art can tell alot about a person’s personality without them realizing it and to me this mural speaks volumes about the character of Obama. I do not find it offensive, just obnoxious, defiant, and arrogant. It just makes me want to fight harder for Hillary!

LOL! Great idea!
mini vee sent this to me by email -she may have posted this elsewhere but doesn’t hurt to repeat I guess
Below is some information on towns/cities nearby Denver that PUMAS might want to check out for accomodation for the convention–I assume you’re still the contact person for this. These cities/towns are nearby a light rail so that’s why I picked them.
Parking, downtown where the convention is located, is limited and very expensive for the day. I suggest getting near a lightrail station.
Light Rail Transit (RTD)
http://www.rtd-denver.com/LightRail/index.html
map of station:
http://www.rtd-denver.com/LightRail/lrmap.htm
The towns/cities listed below are within a 20 mile radius of Denver city and are RTD accessible. Boulder is about 45 miles, and Colorado Springs is about 70 miles from Denver. Park and ride is probably best.
Aurora motels/hotels
In looking at the map that is posted in the first link under Aurora, keep in mind that there is a light rail that is on Iliff/Evans street, that will take you straight to the convention center.

But, NO… I vote NO FOR BHO

Thank you, hopefully we will get it finished by the end of tonight, BO’s endorsers are very hard to find anything on, Hillary’s were so nicely organized on her website, one more reason I like her! Everything out in the open.
They had an article on noquarterusa about the Dems pulling a George Bush and building a “freedom fence” in Denver to keep the protestors away from the convention. They will be put like 2 miles away and kept there in order to not cause any kind of disturbance. Has anyone else read this?

So yes, if they are your own pics or graphics, and you’re willing to give up your claim to copyright, then we’ll by all means put them up somewhere for others to use and abuse!

Watched the video, which is way cool! I added my comments: “Great vid! I sense that the BO fad is sooooooo last month! Or even last winter. Seems to me that Hillary was winning most of the primaries after March. The MSM, including Jon Stewart and David Letterman types, just got bored with the long primary season and decided to join the chorus of “make it stop,” just to get it over with. I don’t know that they really cared who won, they just said “Who’s ahead? OK, we have a winner.” If they had paid any attention to issues we’d all be better off!!! ”

I do too… but the God’s honest truth is, IMO, at this point, I don’t know if she still intends on doing persuing the nomination. And we certainly can not make her do that other than putting pressure on delegates, superdelegates to vote for her… and on media.
IMO, she and her husband could easily pay down their debt… It may be your concern and you are certainly entitled to it… But it is not my concern is all I am saying. What is, is that my money not go to helping the DNC or BHO. Please remember too… that I am a registered republican, so I don’t mind helping Hillary out, and actually have (about $600 to date)… but I won’t spend one cent to help the DNC-BHO effort.

Some of the SD who switched from Clinton to Obama must be getting a tiny bit nervous right now.
#107, ladyhawkke….thanks for that post. I am listening to LaRoche right now. It’s very long but interesting.
I cruised the site and downloaded the PDF about George Soros. I breezed thru it and it is fascinating. It totally explains what happened in the primary to Hillary and why.
Soros is instrumental to most of what is happening in the world. This man has no conscience. He was a small boy in germany who sorted through the possessions of Jews who were exterminated in concentration camps. He feels no guilt about this, then or now. And his actions throughout his life are from a man with no soul.
So much goes on behind curtains that we are unaware of. Decisions are made that we are never part of. But I still believe we are doing the right thing as PUMAs.
As far as Soros is concerned, Hillary represented a revival of FDR policies and Soros would have none of that. He advocates euthenasia of the elderly and helpless, or as he see it, the “useless”. He is also behind the eradication of food resources in the world.
Soros wants to change the face of the world.
He was behind the elimination of Hillary Clinton. Others stepped in line.
So thank you ladyhawkke for posting an important and riveting url.

The seven dwarfs always left to go work in the mine early each morning.
As always, Snow White stayed home doing her domestic chores.
As lunchtime approached, she would prepare their lunch and carry it to the mine.
One day as she arrived at the mine with the lunch,
She saw that there had been a terrible cave-in.
Tearfully, and fearing the worst, Snow White began
Calling out, hoping against hope that the dwarfs had somehow survived.
‘Hello!…Hello!’ she shouted. ‘Can anyone hear me?
For a long while, there was no answer.
Losing hope, Snow White again shouted,
‘Hello! Is anyone down there?’
Just as she was about to give up all hope,
she heard a faint voice from deep within the mine, singing . ….
‘Vote for Barack Obama! – Vote for Barack Obama!’
Snow White fell to her knees, crossed herself and prayed,
‘Oh, thank you, God! At least Dopey is still alive…

A lot nervous. There is a growing numbers of buyers remorse. Passed: Crist and Cabinet members voted 3-1 to overhaul the state’s Jim Crow-era system through the ranks of convicted felons already released from prison — which the state estimates at 628,000 — to identify those now suddenly eligible to get their civil rights back.
Passed: Cover Florida: $150 a month plan for 3.8 million uninsured. (Mar 2008)
Passed: Appropriate $100 million to continue to restore Everglades. (Mar 2007)
Passed:$200M package for solar, wind, & biofuel from citrus. (Mar 2008)

#242 TREE: PHOTO RELATIONSHIPS
I would not recommend placing images of Obama next to images of Saddam Hussein. Let’s just not go there. Murphy and all are working tirelessly to get so much done, get the word out, grow the organization. Think about newcomers to the sight. Let’s not resort to baiting that would surely be a turn off to some, if not many. I know it would be a turn off to me, just as sone of the anti-Obama sites (including clintons4 mccain) have pictures of Obama in traditional Muslim attire from one of his trips to an African nation. We all know that it’s traditional to give visiting politicians, diplomats and the like clothes that are customarily worn, etc. As I’ve posted in other posts, I think we have plenty to make the case for Hillary and against Obama on the merits. Let’s stay above the fray. We can have fun in the privacy of our homes with ways we vent and express our anger and frustration. Remember that this site is public and we’re trying to grow.
REVIEW AND GIVE SOME THOUGHT TO SENDING TO THE CABLE MSM.

Ok, pumas. I added a ‘disclaimer’ as requested on the mural in the images on the Action Site. I agree with many who felt that the presentation of this picture may have confused our newcomers as to the intent. I also see so far that our conscensus vote has been to let it there for our graphics savvy pumas to play with (for now), but only with disclaimer. So a disclaimer has been added to the mural picture.
Thanks for all the input!

As far as the Super Delegates, we know in general Obama has contributed about twice as much to SD campaigns as did Hillary. No doubt they were all promised certain things as well.
Many of them have to be loosing sleep because on one side they have the global money machine that is driving this campaign and on the other millions of angry disenfrancised voters who live in a free society and don’t have any intention of shutting up and getting in line.

the travel one is only $20.00. They would look great with pumas and “Count every vote” drawn on top of them. Yes you may have guessed I got the worst sunburn of my life in less than an hour in Denver.
I expect the DNC to use the climate against the demonstrators. Please go prepared and take care of each other. I just feel they will herd the demonstrators into blacktop parking lots with no water or shade or place to sit and let them fry to take the spirit out of them. Hours in the direct sun and the altitude combined are going to wipe the unprepared out. It might be a good idea to use part of the bus fund to rent a couple RVs to load with water, ice, and sunscreen to pass out as well as to have a movable air conditioned place to take PUMAs with heat exhaustion. I am not trying to say don’t go, rather to be prepared to endure bad conditions.
#245 RE: PAYING OFF HILLARY’S DEBT
Although the Clinton’s probably have the money to pay it off, legally I don’t believe they can. There’s a limit to how much you can contribute to a political campaign in any given year, and it’s not very much (something around $2,000, give or take). People do find ways to get around it (Tony Rezko comes to mind!), but it’s called money laundering!

Thanks for all you do.
Maryland PUMA….statement about ….1) DNC selecting our nominee…DNC not following their own rules(sunshine
rule)….2) the FACT that the nominee is elected at the convention…3)the hard facts..like the real “states” delegate count…..the % of what the caussus really was in People’s …..
vote…….3) then the facts on the filp-flopping of BO since
Hillary “suppending” due to the DNC’s pressure….
4) infor on the DENVER MARCH……election of nominee is at the convention…..reg. American are not that savee about the real election procession…
It’s more of a FACT SHEET…to get people to be stirred-up
…..Puma site with the action & infor leads….There’s ALOT of ANRGY PEOPLE out there…and not real pc savee….but they do go to the lirbary…..and the chain letter effect….
a note on bottom to make copy’s and pass along……
Maryland puma….make it for the user friendly … pissed-off working (stressful)class American.

MOVEON
Moveon.org isn’t a 527 anymore so now they can individually contribute to O. There are too many restrictions on 527s so they changed their status to fit O’s needs. Moveon is still just as entenched as it was before.
Hi (((PUMAS))) Just reading everything when you first come in makes a lot of excitement. I can’t wait to go to Denver.
RE: YBARRA’S HORRIBLE RESPONSE
I was stunned when I read this on yesterday’s blog. Part of me wanted to contact him right away and part of me feels like, screw it. He’s obviously a jerk. He’s never going to change his mind as far as switching from Obama to Clinton and I need to use my energy wisely. There’s so much to get angry about that I’ve found I need to pick my battles. So, for me, he’s an idiot and why even dignify or acknowledge his response? Sometimes no response sends a message and leaves you with more energy to devote to something constructive. On the other hand, I totally understand the feeling that someone simply cannot and should not be able to behave like that without hearing back. No right answer here. Just my two cents: Ignore him. We have bigger fish to fry.

Will the flip-flop flier be updated with O’s more recent ffs? The flier is great and so eye-catching.
YBARRA RESPONSE
Will someone please show post the response from yesterday? Somehow I missed that one.

Hillary loaned her campaign about 11 million, which I understand she is willing to forgive. I’m sure there are ways around it, but I think everyone agrees its best to retire it.
Maybe with a little luck they will have a cool spell

Hi, I just finished emailing all the superdelegates per your 7/4 post to thank them for supporting Senator Clinton and asking for their support until Denver.
The following sd emails did not go through:
Dabbs, Opstvedt, Brady, Weingarten, Kamarck, Burgess, and Sanchez.
Thank you for organizing this project.
Reply to Amarissa from 7/5
You had printed an email reply from SD Steven Ybarra. FYI, he is the superdelegate that wanted $20 million dollars for his vote. Therefore, you can judge the response that you received in light of this.
Murphy & Maryland PUMA
I mailed 29 PUMA flyers to individuals from Hillary’s Huffington Fund Donor List.
It is really easy to spend hours reading this posts. However, I agree with other PUMAS our time is more productive working on PUMA activities and projects. For my next project, I will be composing letters to the editors or ombudsmen for media organizations.
Go Team PUMA!!!

” is it anyway possible to put both Obama and Suddam next to each other, the pics of both of them on their walls, I will hope it will make the statement that we need our men and women home. ”
Aside from the other reasons for not following through on this idea, I think it is a real stretch to interpret the juxtapositiong of the two as a request to bring the military forces home. I think the immediate impression would be one of an association of their political positions being similar, which is not only dishonest, but a disservice to Senator Obama.

Hi Pumas,
Tried to read through all the posts. Too many! Don’t know if anyone posted this yet. Petition to make Obama show his real birth certificate. Many more signatures since I signed last night.

Also, if you haven’t please vote in the now perpetually red AOL Straw poll. McCain 62%, Obama 38% – 333,976 votes cast.

DENVER MARCH
I’ve spent a lot of time in Denver. Hat, water, sunscreen, and a light top and pants of lightweight material that cover most of your skin are best. Don’t forget the sunglasses. The other item that helped me a lot was a cotton scarf around my neck that I could wet every 10 or 15 minutes with water. It really keeps the body heat down. Seattlegirl’s idea about a small umbrella would be very helpful. You will bake on the concrete and asphalt so make sure you have a rubber sole. For water, I would strongly recomend a camelback or something akin to that item. Diabetics: Your blood sugar will go up in the heat and altitude. Everytime I go to Denver, the blood sugars zip up. It’s tough keeping insulin cool so you may have to bring a small cooler with frozen pacs to get you through the day.
Oh, I vote to keep the mural.

Gosh, he almost sounds like a PUMA!
Thanks, Msbin. Ugly, ugly response by Ybarra. Talk about bad attitude. This guy has some lessons to learn.

DANCES WTIH PUMAS RE: PHOTOS
Yes, I agree with you that the initial reason for placing them side-by-side was a stretch. The bigger concern for me is the one you articulated: That it suggests something about Obama that’s taking things too far and, in my mind, thereby diminishing our credibility.
#282 antifish
Signed it. Thanks for the link.

I vote in favor of letting the Barack Obama mural to stay up.
Though I believe there should be a seperate page for this. The pro-Hillary stuff (cause I still believe theres a small chance of her receiving the nomination) so we need to continue to get the word out about her great plans.
And a anti-obama link…maybe it could be called something else.
#245 Re: Paying off Hillary’s Debt – What I wanted to say before a paw pushed the button too quickly was…. If her supporters are the ones who pay off her debt, isn’t that a show of strength to the DNC and the super delegates? I would definitely think so! So far I have not been able for find any information regarding the contributions received over this holiday, but based upon what I’ve been reading on the blogs, I am certain that it is substantial. Can’t wait till the figures come out.
Been busy working & enjoying the holiday so I’m behind here but…
I sent my $20.08 to Hillary on the 4th… I signed up for my Wa. State meetup… I scheduled vacation time off from work so that I can go to Denver ( on a wing and a prayer and w/ my sleeping bag and tent, very limited budget!) if there’s a bus from Seattle…
And I say the mural pic stays. I’ve been seeing it as a car sticker and window sign all over my Seattle neighborhood already… makes me gag every time!

anonymous #38 – No, I think he was saying that if McCain gets in, we will continue to have more of a “facist” type government, he’s just afraid we’re all going to vote McCain. But he’s also definitely dissing us & I think people need to send him email to wake him up because he is asleep.
And yes of course I totally agree…people need to be careful in Denver.
I said ok, I was just trying to imply obamas flipping on the when of them coming home, geez, I said okey dokey
#293 Kat4Puma
Agree 100%. I would think the contrubutions should be substantial.
john #66 – Could you clarify your post?
John Conyers, one thing to keep in mind about him in the midst of all this is that he’s been a total CHAMPION on getting the voter fraud issues that were brought to light during Kerry’s campaign addressed. He’s been working on this ever since the last Prez election while no one else has done anything. You can look up his website & it’s probably on there.
252 john – re Charlie Crist. This may sound silly, but I also think he is now a closer choice for McCain now because he is going to get married. I have a feeling that the president does not want a bachelor as his VP.
#218 alohapuma-if you go to the pages on the home page and scroll down to About-it states pretty clearly the goals and intent of PUMAPAC
1. To support the candidacy of Hillary Clinton. Updated 6/7/08 — Hillary Clinton was forced to suspend her campaign because the DNC decided to select its preferred nominee, so we are not directly campaigning for her. We consider her to be the leader of the Democratic party and our members will continue to support her throughout this election cycle.
2. To lobby and organize for changes in leadership in the DNC
3. To critique and oppose the misogyny, discrimination, and disinformation in the mainstream media, including mainstream blogs and other outlets of new media
4. To support the efforts of those political figures who have allied themselves with Hillary Clinton and who have demonstrated commitment to our first three goals

I will be more then happy to send out e-mails and letters to supers to persuade them to elect not select our nominee. I have done a lot just stayed quiet for awhile but I am back and ready to roar.
From Steve Ybarra’s bio
“He lectures privately on issues of race discrimination and sexual harassment.”
I’d love to be a fly on the wall for one of these lectures. Could it be a form of sensitivity training?? Hummm
Mr.Ybarra,
Let me say this.I am ashamed to be a Democrat anymore. As this election year has been a joke. The DNC has made a selection not a election. They have broken the rules and have not followed and broken the ByLaws.
We the people will not stand by and watch such a injustice and will protest untill we take our party back. If not then we will cross over and vote Republican and make sure the Democratic Party is no more. We are of the New Democratic Party. We are by the multi-millions and growing every hour of everyday.
You may think it is a joke well think again. We will never vote for a man who sits in a church that spews hatred for whites ,jews and America for 20 years. We will not vote for a man who flip-flops daily just to get the votes of whom-ever. I will not vote for a man who is so corrupt as Mr. Obama and associates with known criminals who also are filled with hatred for America. He has lied to the people daily. I will also be a very happy person the day that Dean,Pelosi,Reid and Brazil are in a unemployment line where they belong and to name a few more. The biasness and sexism of this race has been enough to make any one vomit.
Why am i doing this??? I am doing this for my daughter and my granddaughter. I am doing this for all sons like mine who look up to their mothers. I am doing this for all the husbands who stand up and beside their wives. I am doing this for the angry,BITTER,GUN TOTING.BIBLE THUMPING, EVERYDAY CORE OF THIS ELECTION.FOR A BETTER AMERICA.Shame on you and shame on the DNC,you are the laughing stock of the World.
Sincerely,
sandipuma
Have read up on Steven J. Ybarra JD.
He is all about the Mexican-American vote (he hates the word, Hispanic)
He speaks from the hip and isn’t afraid to say what’s on his mind.
He is a retired civil rights attorney. If he knew many of the PUMAs are Mexican-American..who knows.
He also feels the DNC is neglecting the Mexicans and feels that if they don’t step it up, most will become independents. He also expressed that the DNC is pandering to the African-American community with Mexican-American money.
It was rude of him in his response, but he is quite the rebel.

I’ve actually copied and posted that myself. I guess I’m looking for a clear “yes” regarding continuing to press for Hillary as the nominee at the convention.
I was canvassing over the weekend (handing out fliers from the action center) and I was surprised how many people don’t realize that Hillary could still be nominated at the convention or realize how many undemocratic things were done to take the nomination from her. When I pointed these things out I got a lot of support. So, I think we should keep reminding people that Hillary can still be nominated at the convention; she would need about 175 superdelegates to vote for her who are either undecided or declared for Obama.
Also, we should point out the fact that Hillary won the popular vote by almost 200,000 votes and that MI and FL were only given half a vote and four elected delegates were taken from Hillary and given to Obama in MI AND THAT HIS CAMPAIGN INSISTED AT THE RULES COMMITTEE MEETING ON MAY 31 THAT MI & FL NOT HAVE FULL VOTING RIGHTS AT THE CONVENTION! These dirty tricks will remind everyone why we are so angry and can’t support Obama. And why we are encouraging superdelegates to nominate Hillary at the convention because the DNC rules purposely make it hard for her to win the nomination despite winning the popular vote!
So glad to hear that PUMA and 18 Million Voices are working together! I’m so excited about going to Denver to support Hillary!
Ok is that good enough to send??

TOPIC: the Hispanic vote
This might sound weird but I want to say that 2 nights ago I dreamed a large hispanic family came knocking at my door. They wanted help, & did not know where to go.
I pay close attention to my dreams & what I got from that one is that the hispanic communities around our country really do NOT know which way to turn.
So I guess now since we’re on the subject of that dumb comment by Ybarra, I should say I believe he’s really doing hispanics no favors – because many of them will either not vote Obama, or will just stay home.
End comment: I’m glad we have those fliers on the Action Page that are printed in Spanish! I plan to take some over to the local hispanic community center & post them..
I _really_ encourage other PUMAS to do likewise.
I also had to make a new facebook account because the old one wouldn’t go through
From what I read today, George Soros now owns the DNC and was instrumental in keeping Hillary out.
In fact, there is question of how much Soros owns Edwards. He came out and endorsed Obama the day after WV primary. She was gaining speed and someone had to stop that; Edwards was the pawn, obviously.
I sent Hillary and also Chelsea a letter as they have seperate accounts
I visited the hillaryis44 site for the first time today. One line from the lead article:
“In another sign the wounds of the heated primary race have yet to heal, 43 percent of registered Democrats polled still say they would prefer Clinton to be the party’s presidential nominee. That number is significantly higher than it was in early June, when 35 percent of Democrats polled said they preferred Clinton to lead the party’s presidential ticket.”
We are not voting for him because it was a heated primary. We are not voting for him because he is not qualified for the job.
Then i guess we all should send dear old George Soros a letter too
what soros is doing, I think is unconstituional
Difficult typing here and watching Wimbleton at the same time – all the way down to the wire – with the best tennis I have ever seen – it reminds me of the primaries – its not over until its over – and it ain’t over yet.
I’m going to post a few bulletins on my Myspace to see if there are any people interested in going to Denver to protest the DNC…what should I write exactly?
I’d like to say something about how people are donating to help send others who otherwise could afford to do so. And maybe something about coming to this site and joining for more info….possibly something about how they are encouraged to donate as well…to help other PUMAs
any suggestions?
McCainsent a message this morning–we have said very similar words here (I miss Hillary):
“This past weekend, Barack Obama’s campaign surrogate Gen. Wesley Clark attacked the military service record of John McCain. Despite Barack Obama’s repeated claims that he will be running a different kind of campaign, it is clear that he and his surrogates have failed to deliver.
With no record to rely on, all the American people can hold Senator Obama to is a promise – the promise of a different kind of politics. Twice now, Barack Obama has been given the opportunity to fulfill that promise and twice now he has failed to deliver.
First, Senator Obama broke his promise to the American people that he would use public financing and help clean up a broken system. After months of pledges to use the system, Senator Obama broke his word to the American people.
Now, after repeated, shameless attacks on John McCain’s military service, Senator Obama has failed to personally repudiate them. Once again, Senator Obama has failed to fulfill his promise of change. Sadly, Senator Obama has seemingly been seduced by the politics as usual, the selfish politics of anything goes.
John McCain wants this campaign to be about the issues – a campaign that focuses on real solutions to the challenges facing our country. Unfortunately, Senator Obama and his campaign surrogates seem unwilling to engage in that conversation.”
Ok i am off to write a couple more letters ,will be back later

Soros is world wide. He is changing the face of the everything. He has no soul. He is crushing food production around the world, pushing for euthenasia for “useless” humans, and the list goes on and on. He has an ugly vision and has bought most politicians from every nation.
Honestly, you should read about him, and his plans. He may just be the devil himself.
I don’t think a letter would be sufficient.
I am picturing Nadal holding up the cup – even though it is not over – the same as I am picturing Hillary Clinton raising her hand taking the oath of office – lets see if I am right.

Any photo or graphic of Hillary’s opponent should *not* be put on the first page and definately not given the very first spot.
Separate and at the end, always!!!
Well good old George Soros is going to get a letter from me now lol
As for the Mural
I agree with #254 Anna7000 – she said it exactly right and #295 DancewithPumas.
If someone wants it let them keep it in their own docs and do whatever they want from it. But we are working, still working and have a lot of work to do and I am not a big fan of that kind of back and forth and do not believe it belongs on our site. I have seen it all over places and it makes me more upset than mad cause it speaks to his character and I think we all know what that is made of. Also new ppl coming on here does not look right, gives him exposure that I feel he does not deserve regardless if the image is changed or not.
We have “Plenty” of talented ppl and that energy needs to be focused on PUMA images, fliers, letters, Convention stuff etc….lets us it there.
Murphy has worked to hard to make us noticed, taken seriously, our causes and to me that would just make us go down to his level on that subject of the mural. JMHO
Sorry but on this one I believe it is up to Murphy as to decided if it stays or not.
I do not want to even look at it let alone touch it. It has to much “scare” behind it and it really concerns me especially the fact that he is trying to be the POTUS.
Where are you all reading this about Soros…any links???
I know that Google keeps tabs and stores information about every site you look up on their engine. I opened a gmail acct just a couple of days ago to use for one purpose.

Hi, I read alot but don’t post often… I’m in the urban center of Seattle and it seems everyone here is for O (though our caucus was split 60/40 and the non-binding primary was more like 55/45 so we’re not really that scarce).
My whole family is for O and my 5th grade daughter took a lot of flak at school as most of the kids (save one McC supporter) in her class were for O… Some of the O girls even cornered her in girls restroom and threw water on her because she wanted Hillary to win… Seems the mean tactics aren’t limited to the adults.
Still, she has defiantly remained a Hillary supporter and proudly kept the window cling she got at Hillary’s rally here in Seattle in March displayed in “her” car window so it was very visible when we pulled up to the curb for school drop-off every morning and she donated a very stinky pair of last summer’s flip flops that we sent to Dean and Pelosi recently.
She makes sure we check the action alerts every morning… definitely a PUMA girl! I told her she had every right to be discreet in her support if she wanted to be… our votes are private if we wish them to be and the kids in class didn’t need to know who she supported if she didn’t want them to but she wouldn’t have any of it.
So, I’m glad to know there is another PUMA in the Northwest… I’m sure there are actually VERY MANY of us!!

Our son and wife use Yahoo and seem to be satisfied with it.
I use my telephone company as my DSL carrier, but then, since I have a few websites, I also use Microsoft Outlook express for setting up MANY Identities. Like what many companies do, like
sales@yourcompanyname.com
billing@yourcompanyname.com
support@yourcompanyname.com
etc
For those master minds running PUMA sites, also consider Mass Emailing programs. For example,
Dynamic Mail Communicator

It’s rather expensive though
As an alternate, consider Eudora Pro

Think one can put in around 2,500 names in an address book; and also create multiple Personalities.

EWARD – thank you so much for helping out on this project – I think you will be getting more than that bounce back – apparently these SD’s are changing their addy’s fast – I have sent out emails 3 days in a row – and on Thursday and Friday they got them and even got some nice responses back that they are working “behind the scenes” for her – but then on Saturday – some bounced back – but if you notice they were mostly AOL so I don’t know if AOL had a system problem causing it or if it is as I suspect they changed their addys.
Thanks again – you were always great on the HRC website as well.

nernina: yes, there are gobs of pumas in the northwest. i am one of many.
i love wearing my teenage son’s old puma shirts around town….normally i would give his old shirts away, but not the puma ones, now!
still have my hillary signs up, my bumper sticker on the car….nothing has changed for me; she is still my candidate.
i stood at a fundraiser a week or so ago, telling a bunch of die-hard obama dems that this obama thing isn’t in the bag, that many clinton dems are staying put, or going mccain, or ‘staying home’ on nov. 4…they looked at me like i was a litle crazy…but of course now the cnn polls are coming out with the same information.
us pumas, we know.

Just read that bho is planning on giving a ‘major’(HA!) speech in Berlin, honestly this ‘Black Kennedy’ thing is going tooooo far..the PR spin with this guy is hard to take, certainly not democracy in action…more like Fascism rising and history repeating itself. Sorry for the rant. Talked with someone at the local Repub office and they said they are getting $$$ from Hillary Democrats and were surprised at the number(personally I had hoped that $ would not go into McCain coffers until after Hillarys debt cleared and the convention, but it is NOT $$$ going to the DNC or ‘you know who’)….also, family members (younger!)are finally listening to what I have been saying all along about that guy and are seeing for themselves how he is a whirlygig of changing positions, some of the glitter is falling off and we have a long way until November!!
107 LadyHawkke,
Great post! Everyone ought to watch this looonnnngggg video. Very enlightening.

Leave it. I am still wiping my feet on it.
We’re ready to make more posters or flyers. Any requests ?
Individual Signage for Denver is being tossed around by Murphy but hopefully we can get it done so we can get it produced.
We were out looking at Real Estate today and noticed a lot of Obama lawn signs in Ocean Beach (San Diego). We did a driving tour of Cape Cod in May, we noticed overwhemingly number of homes in different towns with the Obama signs on their front yards. I can’t believe it. Very few Hillary signs.

The Ybarra letter was so obnoxious and so obtuse. I don’t think it’s worth spending time or energy on this idiot. But, regarding your understanding of the guy’s message, I believe he was referring to a concern that if McCain is elected he will continue in the footsteps of the Bush administration which has fueled anti-American sentiments around the world, including Islamic extremists. But, who knows. His words were so bizarre. I think it’s a reflection on his own craziness. And, for what it’s worth (and I believe at least one other poster noted this yesterday), it was outrageous to use concentration camps in his little note, as it disrespects and demeans all of those who died in concentration camps.
Forget about Ybarra. We have work to do. Don’t be paranoid. You’re fine. We’re fine.

Thank you for your support. You are probably right about him being afraid that McCain will win. I’ll continue to work harder to elect Johnny McCain in November.
McCain held a booth on 4th of July in a big fair near by where we live. I was there for a couple of hours. We were all on our feet, and we got more people to visit us than HBO people did. We are going to have a big celebration next Friday for grand opening of our local headuarters office. Hopefully a lot of people will show up, and we should good media coverage too. I’ll ask the organizers if they will have Spanish language newspapers covering our event. ( I’m in North California). It should be good.
Anna 7000 – I have been hunting out your blogs. It is very refreshing to read you too, realise that we have to recognise we must use our energies towards things that we can change and not get caught up with things that we cannot.
Obama’s nomination is unlike anything we have ever seen. Every day in every way, he is gaining and chipping away. Likewise, we must chip away where it matters.

I added my name to the petition about *61′s birth certificate.
Evening all. Another productive day at work. I have some one who is reluctantly supporting “o” coming over here to look around.
As to the “o” supporters (hard core ones) I talked to, seems they are pushing the line that Barry’s flip flops aren’t flip flops at all. It’s the republicans who are trying to make them seem like flip flops.
Could this get anymore bizarre?
And I have begun to notice a bit of desperation from “o”s people.
Amazing considering the convention hasn’t even taken place.
Oh and as to Michelles makeover. I read down stairs somewhere about her being in Vouge, going on “The View” and something about baking cookies?
If all thats true her makeover is:
1 Go concern yourself about fashion
2 Go sit around with other women in the morning and chat over coffee
3 Get back in the kitchen.
Glad theres no sexism over there.
Rofl.
I truly believe both Parties are disenfranchising voters. If you want to take some advice from the Ron Paul blogs, and they are protesting the RNC Convention, they are renting RV’s, finding campgrounds, and inquiring about land – back yards, etc., they can camp out on. Additionally, they’re blogging a site called couchsurfing.com – people who are giving out their couches – there are currently 300 listed within 25 miles of Denver.
Good luck with your protest march. I’m fed up with the press overruling the voter.
Very interesting read on BHO’s book “Dreams from my Father” (see link below):

Why are so many people so blind to see through the ant-American in this guy???
I meant to say “to see the anti-American in this guy”
#286 N.Lee I went to your link and read Steven Yabarra’s article, then sent him an e-mail. The man has some valid points to make and is as frustrated as we are. I think his ugly “whining”, remarks may be due to frustration and anger with nowhere to go. It has made me think…how much have WE reached out to the Hispanic population?? He is correct in that an estimated 11 million Mexican Americans have been kicked to the curb along with the rest of us.
How many of our affiliates are Hispanic? That is a very large group of Americans with the same issues we have.
At any rate I told Steven that we as individuals can only do what we feel is the best and wished him luck on his own choices. I felt more like reaching out than kicking him in the teeth.
Oh i absolutely love Lynette Long she is such a great writer and has been guest on many shows plus had her own show called One on One
#298 tree
Now now tree dear, not to worry everyone has ideas and some work and some don’t. I see you in my mind as a tree and every denizen of the forest has to have a place to rest in the shade. Including Pumas. So you just throw ideas out when you get ready and if some of these cats claw your bark a bit just remember it is the nature of cats.
TO: SANDIPUMA RE: YOUR LETTER TO YBARRA
Got some grammatical problems in the beginning. Also, after reading the first sentence, unlikely he’d read on given the tone of his response (which you’re responding to). You’re passionate and angry, but also using language that sounds like sound bites at this point. Overall, I’d say go with your instincts. But, if you’re truly looking for feedback, my biggest comment would be: What is it you are trying to accomplish? If you want to vent your feelings, then you’ve done it. If you want him to read your letter, I doubt he will. If you want him to consider your points, even less likely. If you want to change his mind, forget about it.
Don’t get too caught up in this guy. Assholes can really drain your energy, and for what?
TO: FRED
Thanks for hunting me down. As a female baby boomer, it’s been a long time since I’ve been hunted! On a more serious note, I appreciate your acknowledgement.
did anyone listen to PUMA radio show today
Found This Shocking PUMA video at countusout.wordpress
This is a MUST see Video trust me http://www.news3online.com/index.php?code=859qeM53M93X6k41HNBV
Now how in the world did Obama get in charge of planning the Convention? Who the hell is he, anyway?
SandiPuma #309, I read your letter and would like permission to copy it. I used to be Witchy 1, but when I got rid of my gtoogle toolbar I had to rejoin thus the name change. You probably won’t see this so I’ll post again downstairs.
