Objections
The members of the Democratic National Committee’s Rules and By-Laws Committee violated The DNC charter on May 31, 2008 by meeting in private, in direct violation of the Sunshine Rules Provision of said Charter.
On that same day, the Democratic Party grossly violated ethical standards when it awarded four delegates to candidate Barack Obama based on actual votes for candidate Hillary Clinton, and in addition, awarded him delegates based on votes for “Uncommitted.”
Earlier in the campaign season, the Democratic Party violated its own Delegate Selection Rules by applying penalties to only two states who broke Section 11 calendar rules, even though five states broke those rules. In addition, Florida and Michigan were originally stripped of 100% of their delegates, even though the rules stipulated a 50% penalty.
The decisions of the RBC meeting mentioned above are evidence of sexism and authoritarianism within the ranks of the Democratic Party.
Caucuses are a violation of the one-person, one-vote and secret ballot principles that have been cornerstone Democratic values for more than a century. They produced a skewed and unfair result this primary season. Caucus states are also over-represented in the pledged delegate count, in violation of the one-person, one-vote principle.
Sexism was allowed to flourish as never before not only because of the behavior of the mainstream media, but also by the actions of many in the progressive online community, the stark silence of the Democratic Leadership and because ordinary Americans, male and female, engaged in it as long as it advanced their favored candidate.
Barack Obama and his campaign exploited racial issues in the primary campaign, which risks setting back the Civil Rights movement, and cynical Democratic leaders, as well as some ordinary Democrats, approved of this campaign tactic.
The voices of 18 million voters who supported Hillary Clinton have been illegitimately silenced, ridiculed, and subjected to outright fabrications on the part of the mainstream press and the Internet press.
The evidence is present, for anyone who wants to see it, that authoritarian tendencies fueled by greed are on the rise in the Democratic Party.
Now, in view of the dismissal of one-half the Democratic voters of this primary season, their social degradation, in view of the unjust actions above mentioned, and in view of the disenfranchisement of the voters in two states, and because we do feel ourselves aggrieved, oppressed, and fraudulently deprived of a free and fair primary election, we insist that the Democratic Party address our objections, or risk the loss of our votes come November.
In entering upon the work before us, we anticipate no small amount of misconception, misrepresentation, and ridicule; but we will use every instrumental within our power to affect our objectives. We will employ agents, circulate tracts and flyers, blog, advertise in all media, petition state and national Democratic leadership, and endeavor to enlist the press in our behalf.
Resolutions
Resolved, that the Democratic Party must seat the full Michigan and Florida delegation in adherence to the thoroughly Democratic principle of one-person, one-vote.
Resolved, that Michigan delegates must be awarded according to the actual votes cast, specifically that Hillary Clinton must be given 73 delegates and Barack Obama must be given 0 (zero).
Resolved, that Hillary Clinton’s name must be offered on the first roll call at the Democratic National Convention in Denver in August of 2008, in accordance with tradition for 16 of the last 18 Democratic National Conventions.
Resolved, that caucuses should be abolished, and the Democratic Primary system in its entirety must be reformed to better reflect the one-person, one-vote principle, as well as the equal representation principle enshrined in the Constitution.
Resolved, that millions of women and men alike no longer think of the Democratic Party as the party for women’s issues, or for equality and fairness, or for the protection of abortion rights, and will no longer vote for them based on such criteria.
Resolved, that the cynical exploitation of cultural issues will not be rewarded with votes, and that it is part of the PUMA mission to educate the electorate about such abuses.
Resolved, that the PUMA movement is comprised of traditional and loyal Democrats who have carefully watched and recorded the events of the 2008 Primary campaign season.

I personally feel a huge bloc has to swing towards him or bb will still take the ge. But what we’re doing here is ensuring everyone places their vote where they WANT to, not where they are TOLD too! So everybody is making their own decisions while we still have that right!

I know of 3 medics , other than myself who are planning to go to Denver . Might I suggest the we set up a tent ( I have one ) in case of any medical emergencies ? Otherwise , I know we will all be carrying our supplies .

Just a suggestion : We should get a master list of cell phone numbers for all PUMAS and have ground coordinator or a team so that we can keep up with meet up sites etc. Some of us will be in Denver prior to others. We need a way to keep track of each other. Just a thought
On the 4th of July all the wonderful PUMAS raised their heads in UNITY towards the dark night sky. The clueless would say, “THEY’RE JUST WATCHING THE FIREWORKS”, but the PUMAS WERE FEELING THEM IN THEIR HEARTS…a tradition that runs deep within the soul of this PROUD PUMAPAC. Feelings of PRIDE, GLORY, HONOR, and the STAR SPANGLED BANNER were exploding in the sky. The PUMAS thought of the American Flag, the Founding Fathers and their fight for Freedom, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, their Civil Rights, and the Right to Vote. The DNC was WRONG not to COUNT ALL THE VOTES as they were cast by the people. Presidential candidates should be “ELECTED BY THE MANY” and not “SELECTED BY THE FEW”. It goes to the CORE PRINCIPLES of FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY the cornerstones upon which our UNION was formed. The PUMA resolve grew as they watched overhead, they knew in their hearts that America and it PRINCIPLES are worth fighting for. If doing what is right and holding the DNC accountable means putting COUNTRY BEFORE POLITICAL PARTIES, then so be it. The PUMAS put their PAWS over their hearts as a GESTURE of SOLIDARITY.
Meanwhile back at the ranch in MONTANA, the DNC presumptive candidate was being eyed by a couple of local cowboys. “Yep, he sure looks like a POST TURTLE to me.” Makes me wonder how he got up there.”

Texas I would be cautious about supplies. They may be confiscated. Not sure who you would contact but know at all the concerts there are always medics around. They even have them on bicycles at the baseball games roaming around. From what little is leaking out it sounds like likes of military personnel are going to be around as well as police officers from other districts lending support. Maybe on Monday check through mayor’s office and try to find who you can contact. I say mayor because most others you can only email and wait for response.

Don’t know about dehydration in the summertime in Denver. But in the hills above at Keystone while TRYING to ski in 1994, I lost my breath and decided that was no fun. Vomitted too on my way down the slope in the tram.
People there are terrific and helpful. Got my rented Sentra stuck in the snow and a truck of people stopped to get me out.
True though. The altitude is not kind to visitors; but the people are. I even got carded at ALL the Diamond Shamrocks for wanting beer. And I was 41 at the time! (Must be the Beatle haircut I’ve had all my life that makes me look so…).
I love Denver residents.

#14TexasTigress…I heard on Hannity and Colmes last night that Nader may be the only candidate that truly wants to take our troops out of Iraq. Apparently BO is changing his position on Iraq too and although he promised to get our troops out in 16 months he is now saying he’ll have to reassess the situation. On the show they also said that if Nader keeps his policy of withdrawing troops he’ll probably take many votes away from BO!!!
A democratic stratagest on the show said that BO is changing from left wing liberal to centrist to win the general. He pretty much said that BO will do anything to win!! Nothing new I guess!!

I lived in Boulder during the Pope visit. I was a medic at site. Denver/Boulder area will have volunteers of Paramedics, EMTS and tons of volunteers. We even had the National Guard. Lots of heat strokes, I was a volunteer for the whole week. No sleep. You need to have lots of water, no caffene, do not drink sodas, between the altitude, and the heat you will dehydrate quickly. You have to remember you will be a MILE HIGH, above sea level.

The cure to altitude sickness must be kindness. The people there made my stay a wonderful experience. And that made me feel real good real fast for I love kindness.
But, being a guy I better stop it or people will talk.
Altitude sickness should not affect unless you are there longer than a week or two. But you will get drunk very fast if you are not used to it! also the beer they sell is 6% except for the beer sold in gas stations, that beer is 3%.

Unless you’re already acclimated to the weather in the migh high city newcomers will have to adjust by taking precautions. Just depends on each person’s system as to what they will be.

heysandy..we only do what we can. I’ve called FEC and no way can DNC or bb get their hands on the money. Any primary money left over is donated to charity. Any GE money is returned unless person who gave gives permission for it to be used such as her senate re election. Somebody yesterday said they had received an email from Hillary asking if their donation could go to senate re election. They had paid the 4600 max. So our “small” donations apparently were used for primary and large donations put in GE to save financial nightmare in case she doesn’t need GE fund. I pray she does!!!!

I’m not a PUMA, I’m a McCain Republican, but I have to say if it came down to a vote between Hillary and McCain, and McCain lost, I’d feel safer having Hillary as CIC than having Obama at the helm.
The only Democrat vote I have cast in recent memory has been for Judge Seamus, PA Supreme Court. Many of our state’s republicans voted for him, that’s how he won. (this is by way of establishing my Republican creds). During the course of the Dem primary I became more and more astonished at how shabbily HRC was treated, by MSM and her own party’s leadership. I am in contact with more than a few rock rib Republicans, and I have to tell you many of them were equally shocked.
In short, I do believe the PUMA organization has a legitimate grievance.

thoughts…I’ve been thinking about why I am so passionate about this whole thing. Bear with me while I vent.
I was so pissed off at the Bush debocle (sp?), that I stopped voting. If my vote was not going to count, why bother? Well, I came out of the closet (the voting one), and voted for Hillary. I was so excited to see that we could possibly have someone in that high office, that could accomplish some good. Including voter reform, which Hillary was working to fix.
I early voted here in Texas, on day one. Weeks later, we went to attempt the caucas vote. Myself, my partner, (who early voted, with her 9 year old son actually pushing the button next to Hillary’s name)and her 11 year old son with Autism. We stood in line, after official voting was done, for over an hour. After they finally figured out what they needed to do, they starting filing us inside. Signing forms, ok, pads of paper, then we had to wait. For everyone to get signed in before we could start the process. Ok, now mind you, its now after 8:30 pm and we have two kids taking TAKS tests in the morning. We gave up, after a while, and left. The kids needed good nights rest for the test and we’ve just had them standing in line for over 3 hours total, at this point. As we left, we passed a line of people, still needing to sign in, that was over 200 more people long! So in effect, a lot of us, gave up, for one reason or another. So yes, Hillary had the popular vote in this state. And BO had the caucus vote. Who knows what the caucus vote would have been, if everyone could have been a part of it.
So now, I’m feeling again, my vote didn’t count. Just like 8 years ago. 8 years ago, my sister-in-law was a huge follower of the NoBushZone coalition. And I thought she was whacked. She went to the debates, she drove to DC to march…3 times. I thought she was whacked. She was so passionate about voter reform, and getting Bush impeached. OMG, I thought she was whacked.
Well, now I’m trying to talk my partner into letting me go to Denver. I have bumpers on my car, I plan to have more. I’m sending letters to my neighbors, emails to delegates, senators, etc, jumpin on this blog every chance I get. I must be whacked! I am whacked. No, I’m just finally tired of the system that doesn’t seem to work for the people. My ancestors led Washington into Trenton, on the night the Hessians were defeated. They fought in the Revolutionary war, they helped house, feed and gave medical attention to those in need during the war. The war that gave me the freedom I now enjoy. The freedom I was willing to fight and die for years ago, while I was in the military. The freedom, I hope the boys in my care will be able to enjoy and be proud of. The freedom to feel my vote counts.
I don’t feel that way right now. I’m not proud of my leaders. I’m not proud of how they act, acted and continue to act, while representing me.
I am proud to be a PUMA. I am very proud to be in this fight with the rest of you PUMAs.

#73 DawnE. I hear you with the Texas caucus situation. I also did the early voting thing. Unfortunately I was teaching a class on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at a local community college. I had asked permission to cancel class on that Tuesday night or have a substitute so that I could attend the caucus. Of course I was told no. Less than 1/4 of my class showed up that evening as they all went to their caucus locations. Most of my students were AA. I felt totally helpless. This caucus thing is a total sham as it excludes too many people from participating. I am still so annoyed that I was prevented from casting my full vote. So while those people in Floriday feel that they are only 1/2 a person. I feel that I am only 2/3 a person since that is all my vote was worth. If it is the last thing on the face of this earth I do, I’ll make sure that in the future my vote is FULLY counted.

I am a little confused about the e-mail I received from Murphy, i.e. what letter do I cut and past and send to her list? Also, I’d like to go to the convention, but don’t know where everyone is staying. Can someone fill me in?
I want to go to the convention. I just shared this site with a good friend and my sister. My best friend is signing up-my lil sis who is only 18 cried a bit at watching the video because this was the first time she voted and it didn’t matter. She feels as if the Democratic Party Leaders are sexist and this is the opposite message she recieved in Highschool.
Way to go DNC. You really flugged up. The repercussions have yet to be fully seen. Their childrens children better not hope for a spot in Washington because these young voters will not forget and will finish carrying the torch of PUMA JUSTICE long after its original members expire.
I will be donating $20.08 today to help Hillary retire her debt. I will also donate at least $10 to the PUMA PAC’S mission to send buses to DENVER! That will be my vacation this year. I believe well worth it!
Pumas-? for you all. How close are we to getting to $0.00 on her debt? And, if she does reach that goal, do you think that she will fight at the Convention? Do you think that they have fully succeeded in silencing her? I listened to her speech and she said that as long as we kept fighting for her that she would fight for us-well-we pumas are fighting-does she know that?

#105 &106- People are donating to pay for buses to help with some of the transportation. Some pumas are driving or flying on their own. Maybe some of the pumas can share their hotel rooms and split the cost, or know of someone that has a room in their house. Camping is a great idea if someone can post where to reserve a spot. Marylandpuma is a good person for organizing and may be able to help teaming people together.

Thanks for the effort. Really, if this is going to be successful, there’s needs to be more prep. work regarding where to stay, meet, etc.
I’ve said from the moment “the annointed one” was shoved into his current (hopefully temporary) position, that we needed to stage a modern day Boston Tea Party. I immediately sent an email out to my contacts list stating such - suggesting we all take action to ensure our country is safe from his brand of politics. At the time I didn’t know what to do… it just had to be done. Thanks for being a major catalyst in bringing this plan of action all together. Imagine how the the history texts will read 20 or 30 years from now. Our children’s children will be able to say, “I know someone who was there!”

The Denver group has been posting accommodation suggestions (with links) on their site.
There are campgrounds with rental cabins and rental RVs, sleeping anywhere from 2 to 6 people.
I’d like to get to Denver early and volunteer with … whatever. So I’m hoping the Denver group will post volunteering opportunities.
Bottom line though, as long as we have a basic schedule of where and when to congregate, I’m good.

Well.. we got a ground pounder CLARK jumping all over the Flyboy McCain. Clark with all due respect… DID NOT SPEND time in a PRISON camp.. Typical GENERAL Officer comments about leadership and etc, from a Brilliant West Pointer.
King Obama continues to show his true leanings on key issues and that he is the typical politician wanting only to be PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES no matter what it takes, what he has to say or how much he has to SPEND for each American Vote.
It appears we can expect more of the same in Washington instead of the ‘change’ he continues to advocate in his preachings.
As we learn more about his ‘Chicago Style’ of politics… perhaps we will dream of a Powell for President or even Edwards.
The real loser this week continues to be
the American People. We continue to lose at the gas pump, at the grocery store, and on the home front.. Because our politicians continue to march to their own drummer.
Forget the Constitution, forget the taxpayer, forget Truth, Justice and the American Way. Just remember… we are elected to this job and we are accountable to NO ONE.. just our party and our re-election campaigns.

Do you think it is wise to notify media ahead of time of our plans? I’m just saying the best defense is a great offense. You don’t realize that they could sabotage us as far as lodging, permits, police presence etc. I think we should plan between ourselves, put the plan into action, then notify press etc. They will just be waiting to throw us in that cage. Got to act like a PUMA and strike when they least expect.

Just another idea for staying in Denver. I used to work for a university in Alaska years ago, and during the summer many of the universities or colleges with empty dorm rooms, will rent their rooms out really cheap, they use to be about $25 a night for two, with fridge, microwave, bath and two beds.

I got an email from the Obama campaign. I don’t know where they got my address from, but no matter; I replied to unsubscribe and told them I cannot, in good conscience, support an unready candidate or the party who ran out the more qualified candidate. I’ve gotten some paper mailings from them and the DNC, too, asking for contributions. To each one I replied with a photograph of my hand holding my voter’s registration form indicating “No Party”, and I wrote the same message on the back of the photo that I sent to the the Obama campaign this morning. I also include the URL of this blog, in case there are disaffected Democrats working the campaign who don’t know where to go and think they have no other options but to “fall in line”.
I donated to Hillary’s debt just now and to the bus to Denver fund last night. The radio interview was great. I find the fact that BOites are trying to sift through Murphy’s life to, I guess, prove she is not pure enough very creepy. So what if she gave money to McCain do you all remember McCain was seriously considered as a VP for Kerry? What is this DNC need for purity as defined by Obamaites when their own behavior is so sexist, power grabbing and hate filled. Personally In this election cycle I would rather be called Republican than DNC affiliated. In reality I consider myself a Independent who 75% of the time votes Democrat.

There are some people that are saying that she will be our next President and have NO doubts about it. No matter what happens-history will eventually tell the truth about the corruption in our Democratic Party.

We are in the beginning planning stages. We will provide bus transportation from select major transportation hubs across the US. At this point, accomodations and transportation to the bus pickup point is the responsibility of the individual PUMAs.

#142 Taffy- I agree with you on the link to the action center. Marylandpuma is working with Murphy on the buses but the rest is up to the individuals. Maybe someone will volunteer to organize info on the other things needed so that they can give the info to Murphy to post at the action center? Organizing is not my strong points so I am not a good choice.

In light of the fact that Hillary has removed *61 from her website and in light of the fact that we are doing everything we can to pay down her debt - how do you interpret this hint from her 60th birthday party?
