Well, I took a long PUMA nap last night. Wow, the stuff that when on while I was sleeping! Rendell HOUND dog site gone, news after news, nasty no OB’ emails…

hehehe, PUMAS are sure getting to them OBnots.

#7 Battle for the Hill on 07.02.08 at 7:22 am

reposting this: I just heard Bill O’Reilly state on Fox that even BO’s supporters are gettting frustated with him, with all the flip-flopping he’s doing – specifically the Moveon.org people. He said they’re complaining all over the blogs. Bill even went so far to say that it’s not too late to put Hillary in – instead of Obama! I think we should thank him.

Good Morning PUMA’s
I didn’t get a chance to read all of last night’s posts, so forgive me if this is duplicated. However, worht mentioning again as BHO’s supporters have now begun to get a tad bit upset with him. Today’s NYT times article ‘Obama Voters Protest His Switch on Telecom Immunity’ is worth the read. His center stance may just be the shot in the foot we hope to see. Many supporters are outraged. I venture to say that many will now pay closer attention. Here’s a piece of the article:

“I don’t think there has been another instance where, in meaningful numbers, his supporters have opposed him like this,” said Glenn Greenwald, a Salon.com writer who opposes Mr. Obama’s new position. “For him to suddenly turn around and endorse this proposal is really a betrayal of what so many of his supporters believed he believed in.”

yesterday was a great day. I can see the beginning of the meltdown of the kool aid drinkers. It is getting more and more crowded under the bus. I believe we have made such strides. We have got to keep working, because I do believe at the convention, we will have the right ELECTED nominee! What we will see is *61 chasing after the bus as we leave him in the dirt, wheels screeching as we put it into overdrive….back to the Hillary Express!! I am very optimistic today. It is not over by any means. Keep up the good work fellow PUMAS!

#10 bythelake on 07.02.08 at 7:29 am

Just had to send an email to Governor Rendell, here is a copy;

Good Morning Governor Rendell,

I see you’ve removed your HOUND website. Thank you. I’m shocked that you or someone under your watch would do such a thing in the first place. I’m disappointed in that action but appreciate you taking it down. People tend to remember the bad rather than the good that someone had part of in politics. That’s sad because I know your a good Governor but many are not so forgiving. Maybe to redeem yourself you can right your wrong by supporting Hillary Clinton once again. We both know that Obama is not the right choice to be our leader. I seriously doubt that he would have appointed you a position anyway. Remember, he is the flip-flop candidate.

Respectfully,
(me)

#14 mpdamon on 07.02.08 at 7:51 am

Good morning everyone

The latest with Obama is now he is going to EXPAND the “faith-based” social services program. His argument is that the government can’t do everything by itself. If I got this right: he’s going to give billions of tax dollars to tax-exempt churches to (according to their beliefs ) give whatever “aid” they see fit
( probably won’t be a lot of sex deducation ) .

Let’s see: this government that can’t do everything: won 2 World Wars, overcame a massive Depression,
assimilates million +/- of new immigrants a year, has supported universal and bilingual public education,
maintains bridges, railroads, waterways, social security /medicare ( when congress appropriates the funds ) and national security but has to have right-wing churches and their agendas to help out???????
Oh, and also . . . these “faith-based” agencies should have the right to employ or not emploe people based on the employee’s “faith”.
Even the Hound Dogs are going to be sick on this one.
Take an insecure and arrogant person . . . give them enough rope and hopefully they will hang themselves.

#15 mpdamon on 07.02.08 at 7:54 am

Time to make nice with hounds – - – awake them from their stupor and welcome them back into a community
of responsible citizens.

#16 cjv on 07.02.08 at 7:57 am

mpdamon – so much for the idea of separation of church from government. Did it occur to him, as when I read over and over again on the right to employ based on thier faith (although, I do beleive it’s for only non profit type faith organizations, applying to just about all) that this is a form of discrimination? Does anyone else see what I see here?

#17 henry on 07.02.08 at 7:57 am

mpdamon
I see it the same way I have witnessed friends in very bad abusive relationships. You can see it but they cannot. The more you try to dissuade the stronger the allegiance becomes. Eventually hopefully they wake up, but there is nothing you can do until then

#18 PumaAllie on 07.02.08 at 7:59 am

Totally random, but I would actually love to see PUMA become an actual Political Party.

#19 mpdamon on 07.02.08 at 8:03 am

I would like to think that our postings to the HOUND site had something to do with getting it taken down.

#14
Whoops – guess I got that wrong. Obama is NOT going to allow them to use “discrimination” in hiring. Evangelicals aren’t going to like that.

#20 Lin4Hill on 07.02.08 at 8:03 am

just an observation–each morning I come to my computer to check in with this site, and my sister has the TV on in another room, watching the MSM. I swear, they say BO’s name every 10 seconds. It’s like a mantra. Surely, there is more news in this world than him. That is one way the media is trying to persuade America. He gets more air time than McCain, to the point where I am not sure if the majority of Americans are getting a fair view of Senator McCain.

And, is it for real–did the H.O.U.N.D.S. site really shut down?

#21 prplvette85 on 07.02.08 at 8:03 am

Yes, he is going to give money to faith based groups. Like Trinity? When they get the money, the church can use it for any program they want. They do not have to account for the money. ……..hello?……….

#22 henry on 07.02.08 at 8:08 am

Lin4Hill
to combat the rediculously biased media i still wear a hill pin but I couple it with one for Mccain and I also carry Living History on the bus. needless to say I won’t be winning any popularity contests soon.

#23 mpk on 07.02.08 at 8:09 am

PumaAllie, I see your point-the work that PUMAs have to do is going to take a long time-way past the nomination and the general election. We have major problems in terms of the election process and in order to effect change (:-) that word again) we are going to have to be diligent and patient-but every bit as determined as we are now.

#24 mpdamon on 07.02.08 at 8:10 am

# 21
The government hasn’t “accounted” for our money for a long-time now, so why not expand that unaccountability to churches. Next we can expand it to banks, sub-prime lenders, Wall Street traders . . . in fact all of corporate America. Maybe it would be simpler if we just elected Ted Haggard or Lee Raymond to the Presidency.

#25 PumaAllie on 07.02.08 at 8:12 am

If you have 15 minutes to spare and just want to listen to something different, there is a rerun of Alistaire Cookes letters from America, with commentary regarding this nomination from Justin Webb, who notes how Alistair Cooke would have been proud of Hillary Clinton in her “never give up” attitude.

It is about the Truman election of 1948, when everyone had predicted it for the other candidate, Thomas Dewey (sp?)

Morning! Great I found everyone!! I need some advice … I posted this same comment “downstairs” —

Help! I need help — OK … I have this friend … who did (DID) vote for Hillary … but now is planning on voting for “The One Whose Middle Name Cannot be Mentioned” … OK … she says that the reason she cannot vote for Hillary is because, she would just be throwing her vote away and McCain would appoint a Supreme Court Justice who would overturn Roe v. Wade.

My usual response to this type of response is that sometimes you just have to take a stand in your life, and do the right thing! And let the chips fly where they will. And deal with Roe v. Wade, if and when it becomes an issue, and then protest that! That you just have to draw a line in the stand, and say, I am not going to let the DNC, the sexist media, and the good ole’ boys clubs MAN-ipuilate, humiliate, demean, and degrade me and my candidate! That one person can’t fix all the problems in the world, but you can stop some of them! Stop the sexism, and maybe Roe v. Wade would take care of itself!

Does anyone out there have any other response to the argument that 1) A protest vote is just throwing your vote away, and 2) A protest vote will permit the overturn of Roe v. Wade???????????????????

My response seems to fall on deaf ears!

Thanks!

I am not an attorney but I believe r v w is predicated on the right to privacy. the supreme court has repeatedly acknowledged said right and as our judicial system is based on common law I doubt it could be overturned without a constitutional amendment and the chances of that are slim to none

McCain dealt with this issue in a speech . . . and I don’t remember which TV channel it was broadcast on. He stated that while he is personally opposed to abortion
he understands that to return to the pre-Roe Vs. Wade position puts thousands of women’s health at risk from complications of unsafe illegal abortions. He indicated that he would like to se the matter left to the ststes to decide. If anyone has knowledge of that interview please give details.
Also, point out to your friend that it is possible to have responsible discussions with people with whom we disagree. McCain is respectful and does listen. Better someone who disagrees with you and is open about saying so than someone you can’t tyrust. And you can’t trust Obama. Hasn’t she learned anything from the past 8 years? Bush was a “compassionate conservative” , remember? Flip-floppers are amoral and as such are totally undependable.

#38 RAFREE on 07.02.08 at 8:24 am

Merryjane, if Bush could not get Roe v. Wade overturned then McCain sure as heck won’t get it done either. Besides it is a wedge issue, the republicans NEED it right where it is AND believe it or not many, many republican women don’t want it over turned either. It’s not going anywhere.

And yes, a protest vote does matter this time. VERY much. It’s 2008, we’ve had twelve serious females run for the White House. NOT ONE was as prepared and well versed in the issues or as qualified as Hillary Clinton and look what they got away with doing to her?? She had an 87 percent approval rating with all Americans. She was voted the most admired woman in America FOUR years in a row and this primary season took that down to 53 percent….how did that happen then??

The DNC sat silent for this sexism and the Obama campaign used it to their advantage. Voting for Obama to me is the same as asking a minority group to vote for a high profile KKK member!! I do not see how people can think ANY self respecting feminist could reward this party for the metaphorical witch burning to quote a fellow Hillary supporter that we were witness to. AND which harmed all women whether they realize now how much or not.

After all, if they can get away with doing this to someone as powerful as Hillary Clinton what makes your friend think it won’t ever happen to her as she progresses through life. With Hillary in the White House women’s issues such as domestic violence would have been on the table for a lot more money and research into solutions.

If we do not take a stand against what happened here in 2008 then WHEN will we???

#39 cjv on 07.02.08 at 8:24 am

merryjane, henry makes a good point. The HIPPA laws evolved out of R v W dealing with our right to privacy. It would be my guess, that as in the past elections, R v W is always brought up to bring up emotions about abortion issues.

Good Morning, Pumas! Won’t have a chance to read the posts until later on as I’ll be gone a few hours. I haven’t been over to hcsfjm.com for a few days, can’t hardly keep up with you. But someone left this video on there which is why we are all fighting the misogyny and sexism against Clinton. Does anyone know how we can send this to Pelosi and Dean? I don’t know if they have an e-mail address. I do know we can send it to Brazile. This is so disgusting when you see it all put together and what this poor woman went through.

same with gay rights
the supreme court didn’t say its okay to be gay what they said is what happens between two consenting adults is none of the govt’s business. as jurists when they respond they must do so by looking at the constitution and to what earlier laws and decisions have rendered.

I could not watch all of that video. I cannot bear those things anymore. I feel like women everywhere were abused by this in some sort of media frenzy of hate. The DNC will be held accountable for staying silent about this. To think I worked all my life for liberal issues and trusted that if it were ever an issue that affected me so personally they would never stand silent for it.

There’s no doubt that Obama has managed to alienate many of his avid supporters. I flew over the Huffy Post yesterday and was amazed at the shocked, stunned and “angry” posters over this faith-based proposal, redux GWB. Add this to the misteps last week with the Telecom immunity upset, the comments on gun control and NAFTA and Kool-aide crowd is beginning to wonder who Obama really is.

Gee, we could have taken a stab at that weeks ago.

I’m really encouraged that the Hound dog site is down. Hope it’s not simply a net problem. I thought the whole idea was a lame response to PUMA, which within a short month has spread like wildfire.

Terrific work. Only proves that voices raised in unison have an impact and will be heard.

My letter to Pelosi;

Dear Ms. Pelosi,

I want to thank you for taking the stand of supporting Barack Obama for our democratic candidate.

I’m sure you feel you made the right choice for all American’s. Barack will make a great President.

Oh, wait, that was a nightmare letter!

Here’s the real one now that I have your attention.

What are you crazy? You are backing Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton? I as a woman am ashamed of you. I am ashamed that I voted for you to make decisions on my behalf.

In case you don’t know it your were elected to honor the wishes of the people, not your own personal wishes. I see your sexism as wanting to the be the first ‘woman’ something, just not sure what.

Well, I am no longer a die hard democrat thanks to you and your irresponsible support of Barack Obama.

You and your chain gang have caused one of the largest uprisings in America by supporting the ‘selection’ of Barack Obama.

John F. Kennedy said, “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”.

Our country is asking that Hillary Clinton be rightfully placed as the nominee of this year’s democratic party. She was after all “elected” by the people, the people who will determine the outcome of this election!

I personally will not support flip-flop Barack Obama. What part of “he is not qualified” do you not understand? For me the decision is a no brainer.

McCain 2008
Hillary 2012

I went to that feminist? Liberal? website yesterday. It was, as many of you know, a potpourri of false & poorly researched. I did an response, but I must say I saw many of PUMA entries that were excellant. It was interesting that the Obamats were in attack mode, using language indicating many were young & poorly educated.
In any event, I think we are a great force and we should be proud of what we have & will accomplish.
I would, by the way, love to see Hillary be the candidate replacing BHO, as more is uncovered about him.

What we need to find is an up and coming young journalist (remember what happened with the bitter and toting guns comment from a journalist and how it turned the tide) that we can feed so much of this information we have and let them make a stand for us – knowing that he or she will be victorious – helps us – helps him or her – anyone have a family member that is a journalist ready to take on such a challenge??

The Clark affair continues into day four

Three things have prolonged this story.
First, Wes Clark’s decision to not only not apologize but to keep appearing on TV yesterday to discuss the matter, which he did yesterday.

Then, Obama’s decision to not only not urge Clark to stand down but to say that the portion of his patriotism speech Monday in whichhe said no veteran should have his service questioned wasn’t actually intended as a rebuke to Clark.

And finally McCain’s decision last night to shift gears from his “I want to talk about the issues” posture.

“I think it’s up to Sen. Obama now to not only repudiate him, but to cut him loose,” McCain told reporters aboard his plane en route to Colombia.

@alucard good morning! I’m glad i got to see the mtv spot; I can see wym now :) :) – Also that is a very good pt about Hispanics the fastest growing demographic. It is interesting, since they were so pro Hillary in the primary etc at 2 to 1 margin. I think Obama is trying to align McCain as part of Bush’s failure in securing borders and US-Mexico reform? Obviously we know GWB was just a little more than preoccupied w/ the iraq war.

Does anyone else think its funny just how paranoid looney b (Donna B) is getting?

First she was mad at us and now she thinks we’re all a bunch of Republicans. This is their new strategy?

its amazing, she went from mad at us to paranoid that we’re a bunch of republicans.

Why, if we’re Republicans, would we be mad that NObo is the nominee? Wouldn’t we want him to be the nominee? We all know Hillary can beat McCain…why would a bunch of Republicans want her to get the nomination?

Because we wouldn’t vote McCain? Well, I think most of us have already said we would so that’s not the reason we’re mad…hmm…maybe, just maybe we really are Clinton supporters!! GASP! Dean! Did you catch that! Or did I type too quickly for you lol.

July 2, 2008
Via Fax: (615) 327-1323
Office of the Honorable Al Gore
2100 West End Avenue Suite 620
Nashville, TN 37203

Dear Mr. Gore:

I am a loyal Democrat who has followed your career for over twenty-five years. Your record of service demonstrates your deep commitment to our country and what is best for us as a people. In light of that, your endorsement of Senator Obama is confusing. I write this letter to urge you to support Senator Clinton in August and to do all you can to encourage other superdelegates to support her as well. It is my sincere belief that the well-being of our nation depends upon this.

My concerns about Senator Obama are difficult to explain thoroughly in a letter. One significant issue is the devolution of our political discourse and the election process. Not only have Senator Obama’s supporters used bullying tactics to attack those of us who support Senator Clinton, but also the media and various party leaders have participated in misogynistic attacks on Senator Clinton. Premature calls for Senator Clinton to end her presidential bid were demeaning to women and damaging to our political process. Moreover, allegations of voter fraud by Senator Obama’s supporters have been largely ignored. That the RBC violated its own rules on May 31, 2008 to “select” a nominee irreparably taints Senator Obama’s candidacy.

Senator Obama’s record as a senator, remarkable for how many times he voted “present” rather than take a stand on issues, is not reassuring. Moreover, Senator Obama has the responsibility and authority to convene hearings on Afghanistan, but for over a year he chose to campaign instead of provide the leadership he claimed was so sorely needed in the Middle Eastern conflict.

That some of his supporters are characterizing Senator Obama as having “judgment” superior to Senator McCain is laughable. How can I support a candidate whose allies include a divisive figure like Reverend Wright? Conversely, how can I support a man who disavows his own pastor after a twenty-year friendship? I might have respected Senator Obama had he urged people to understand Reverend Wright’s anger rather than doing the politically expedient thing. In any event, that Senator Obama associates with unremorseful domestic terrorists like William Ayers and swindlers like Tony Rezco is quite enough for me to conclude that Senator Obama lacks the mature judgment required for my President.

Furthermore, I have no confidence that Senator Obama will be the leader we need on energy and the environment, and I know you must in your heart feel the same way. Senator Obama is out of touch: he admitted ignorance of the Hanford site in Washington State. This is extraordinary. Audacious indeed for Senator Obama to present himself as prepared to lead when he is unaware of a multi-billion dollar clean up site where radioactive releases occurred from 1944 through 1972.
Senator Obama is also selling himself out to special interests, regardless of his rhetoric. For example, as reported in the New York Times, executives and employees of Exelon, based in Illinois, have contributed at least $227,000 to Mr. Obama’s campaigns since 2003. Exelon failed to inform Illinois residents of radioactive leaks from its nuclear plant in 2007. Contrary to Senator Obama’s rhetoric in Iowa, he did not pass a bill requiring nuclear plants to report leaks promptly. Instead, he allowed the bill to be diluted in committee to nothing of significance and it failed to pass the Senate.

Additionally, in November 2007, Obama opposed a bill that would have reformed the Mining Law of 1872, which as you know allows mining companies to pay a nominal fee to mine for gold, silver, and copper without paying royalties. The bill Senator Obama opposed provided a revenue source to clean up abandoned mines, which is likely to cost taxpayers over $50 million, and addressed health and safety concerns in the eleven affected western states. Significantly, one of Obama’s key advisors is a Nevada-based lobbyist in the employ of various mining companies, which were making millions without having to pay royalties.

Finally, I cannot help but point out that Senator Obama is a big supporter of corn-based ethanol which is well known for being an energy-intensive crop to grow. Research from multiple sources indicates that seven barrels of oil are required to produce eight barrels of corn ethanol. Senator Obama voted in favor of $8 billion worth of corn subsidies in 2006 alone, when most of that money should have been committed to alternative energy sources such as solar, tidal and wind. Senator Clinton has a commitment to alternative energy sources that would create jobs and is consistent with the science. Senator Obama’s preference for corn-based ethanol gives him a talking point that is a red herring, and in fact encourages continued dependence on oil.

Many of Senator Clinton’s supporters are hopeful that because she has merely suspended her campaign, there is still an opportunity for superdelegates like you to vote at the Convention in a manner that is consistent with the popular vote. I am sure you are aware of Senator Clinton’s demonstrated commitment to developing energy solutions and protecting our environment; accordingly, I would think the issues you have worked so hard to resolve would receive the appropriate focus from Senator Clinton. I can think of no reason you should favor Senator Obama over Senator Clinton. Please reconsider your endorsement and help Senator Clinton get elected to President of the United States in 2008.

Sincerely,

PUMA Democrat

Good morning all, the Wisconsin Dems are trying to unseat a National Clinton delegate because she publicly stated she would vote for McCain in November. I emailed the State party chairman, Joe Wineke at joew@widems.org and said this:

Dear Mr. Wineke,

I have watched nationally as Democratic parties have discounted the fact that our primaries and caucuses were very close this year. So close that we still are not united on our choice for nominee, in fact. You can ignore the fact that Senator Clinton had great numbers and an awful lot of support. What you can no longer ignore is that she also had the best credentials for leading our nation to safer and more prosperous times. The Democratic parties looked down on any who used race as a determinant in their choice, but did not flinch at the waves of sexism used against Senator Clinton. Remember “iron my shirt” and how everyone thought that was such a scream? Hey, everyone said, she has to take it because she’s entering a man’s world. If Senator Obama had been greeted with “fetch my car” would it have been as funny? The Democratic Party as a whole became a socialist party over the course of the primary season. The officials within refuse to see that almost as many of us as voted for Senator Obama voted for Senator Clinton. Throughout the latter half of the race before anyone knew for certain that the die was cast, the Democratic Party, MY party by the way, decided for all of us that Senator Obama was the nominee and we’d all just better step in line and support our party. Debra Bartoshevich has the right to stand up for what she believes is right. She has the right to represent Senator Clinton at the National Convention and she can decide that she cannot in good conscience support Senator Obama in November. Mr. Wineke, that is called love of country and it is something that all Democrats have. I applaud Ms. Bartoshevich’s actions and request that the Wisconsin Dems simply back off and allow her the right to choose.

Then I closed. I think he needs to hear from more of us. This may be done already, they filed papers on Thursday of last week, so they might decide soon. She deserves to go to National, period. Go get ‘em PUMAS!

Good morning all!

I just want to say that I am praying that as PUMAPAC grows, all Pumas will be embraced, all Pumas will feel they are a part of the whole. As we have seen the Democratic Party disenfranchise some members, lets not allow that to happen here.

Morning PUMAs.

I’ve been lurking and working (heh, poet I am) and saw where we are beginning to have GMail problems.

Please do the following:

Delete your cookies and internet temp files. On PC: Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Delete Browsing History, Delete. Delete all cookies, temp internet files, and browsing history.

Log into GMail using the secure server. Instead of using http://, use https://. Go to the address bar and insert an s after the http and before the colon.

See if this helps.

Obama Voters Protest His Switch on Telecom Immunity

WASHINGTON — Senator Barack Obama’s decision to support legislation granting legal immunity to telecommunications companies that cooperated with the Bush administration’s program of wiretapping without warrants has led to an intense backlash among some of his most ardent supporters.

Thousands of them are now using the same grass-roots organizing tools previously mastered by the Obama campaign to organize a protest against his decision.

THAT IS CALLED TREASON IN MY BOOK!!!

I HAVE REPEATEDLY TRIED TO CONTACT THE MAIN STREAM MEDIA ABOUT THIS AND THEY “WILL NOT INFORM THE PUBLIC OF THIS!

THEY ARE TRYING TO CONTROL THE OUTCOME OF THIS ELECTION,

THAT IN ITSELF, BY DEFINITION IS “TREASON”

The Washington Elite that really run this country are trying for an empty suit so they can continue to screw the American taxpayers even more than they already have!

Sorry if this message is a duplicate, I have sent over 100 messages already and I am not keeping track of where they go!

I like your idea of giving a double donation to Hillary for those who have maxed out in exchange for them making a double donation to Puma. That’s a great idea and I still have a little left to go to Hillary, so if anyone else would like me to donate to Hillary for them in exchange for a donation to PUMA, just let me know.

I thought originally the amount was $20.44, but now it’s $20.08, is that correct?

It’s a win, win, idea!!!

FURTHER TECH TIPS:

Be cautious when clicking on links that come from blog users you don’t recognize.

Get a disposable email that is NOT your blog name. Use Google or Yahoo or Hotmail.

Do NOT use the same password on your accounts. Make sure it’s secure by using a combination of caps, numbers, punctuation and lowercase that is at least 11 characters long.

Run a virus and malware/spyware scan bi-weekly. Increase the frequency if you click on a lot of links from the blog or visit a lot of sites.

IMMEDIATELY REPORT any email tampering to mamapuma@gmail.com, murphy@pumapac.org, marylandpuma@gmail.com. This is CRUCIAL. We do NOT release your email address to ANYONE, including fellow PUMAs without your written request.

DO NOT RESPOND to any spam or harassment you may receive via email. There is always a trail no matter how sophisticated your servers are. The only way to protect yourself is to NOT RESPOND.

Carry on! :) :) :)

I received an email from ClintonDems.com, it says in part:
Debra Bartoshevich is a Wisconson delegate for Hillary that declared she would vote for Hillary at the convention, but McCain in November because Obama lacks the qualifications to become President.

You may know that the Democratic Party of Wisconson is now trying to strip her delegate status.

Please help Debra by writing to the Democratic Party Chair and letting them know how you feel about punishing someone that supports Hillary Clinton:

Joe Wineke
222 W. Washington Avenue, Ste. 150
Madison, WI 53703
party@wisdems.org

Here is my letter to the Wisconsin Dem party:
I urge the Wisconsin Democratic Party to keep Debra as a Delegate for Hillary Clinton. Senator Obama’s tactics are anti-democratic, his “presumed” nomination has been achieved thru less than democratic means. In fact he is not the actual nominee until the vote at the convention is taken. Senator Clinton deserves to be represented by the delegates she has amassed, until the convention, when those delegates should be allowed to cast their votes. This is what the convention is designed to do…hear the choices and allow all of the delegates who have been sent by their constituency to choose the nominee by majority vote. Please don’t allow this undemocratic charade by the DNC and the Obama Campaign continue to poison America’s Presidential election and further divide the Party and the country.
Thank You

Reposting from last night –

I received an email from Senator Clinton’s finance committee today with a request to help pay down her campaign debt. An exerpt of the email follows:

“In the next two weeks we are going to make a serious push in putting a dent in this campaign debt to pay off the vendors. It would help us a great deal if you would commit to raising $5,000 – $10,000 and have all of the funds collected and sent to my attention by July 11th. Contributions can be sent via mail using the attached form and should be made out to Hillary Clinton for President and sent to 4420 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22203 Attn; Finance. Contributions can also be made online at https://contribute.hillarycampaign2008.com/form.html?sc=3200. Obviously these are targets; whatever you can do to help — would be deeply appreciated. If you have already maxed out in primary funds, you will be unable to contribute towards the debt retirement…

We have been on this journey together with Hillary for the last 18 months, and yet there is still so much more to accomplish. A critically important task we can ask of you at this moment is to help us reduce the vendor debt.

Thank you again for everything you have done and continue to do to support Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party. She will never forget it. ”

If interested in helping out, and only if you can afford to and only as much as you can give, please use the link they provided above. It’s a secure debt specific donation link that goes directly to her website. If you want to mail a check instead, and want a copy of the debt donation form to submit to the Campaign office with it, email me and I’ll email it out to you. The form is in PDF format by the way. I do know there is a plan by many in the coalition to donate on the 4th, Independence Day, in an amount of $20.08.

Check out my post # 153. Use the link they provided in their email and it will go toward the primary campaign debt. She is now realigning her campaign website toward her Senate reelection (2013) and also accepting early donations toward that cause as well. So we must use the link they provided so that it clearly goes toward her debt. I also have the PDF ‘debt’ form for mailed in donations to her campaign office. we have a delegate in co who is going to the convention, voting hillary, and then has said she will re register as a repub the next day. I only get the sunday paper so don’t know what flack she got from this. Her name is Sacha Millstone and she is from Boulder. She is an invesment advisor who spent 16 months volunteering on hillary’s finace committee. She says, “This isn’t about sour grapes. This is about the best candidate losing the nomination because she’s a woman. It’s the most blatant example of sexism in our society. This is about the party breaking my trust, women’s trust. And that can’t be fixed.”
Here are 2 paragraphs from article (sorry I can’t put a link but Post charges 2.95 to retrieve articles from archives and this was June 8)

“”Callme deaf and blind, as Millstone did more than once during our interview. But there is nothing at all feminist about quitting the party, refusing to vote Obama and threatening to back John McCain or any other candidate who opposes the values that drew devotees to Clinton in the first place.
Rather, it is the kind of hollow, self-defeating political overreaction that invokes the very stereotypes that cause women like Millstone to rise up in outrage.”

PUMA’s please answer : Some of us are action oriented so please contribute your comments so I for one am starting to feel that people are more interested in blogging and sending mail. If no one cares or there is no interest, no hard feelings. I would rather not spend the time and money if there is no interest or support from fellow bloggers.

Is there an Obama website that is solely dedicated to him that one can see all past articles on him ? I know that when CNN or some other media does a story or article on him it is usually short lived and is taken down some within hours…

ACTION: I think we should capture all these articles (of course damaging articles) and put them on a website – with an address like : All About Obama or Everything Obama.
These articles or You tube videos can be kept on our own server and backed up so that it is never lost in cyberspace.

COMMENTS would be nice as I think we can do it.

ACTION: Also I posted a template email that all of us with international connections could use (if you wanted to) to get our foreign friends/family to comment or vote…

COMMENTs would be nice – but I am waiting for Murphy to check if it is OK.

ACTION: We have a nice poster ready for printing… this is a very creative / visual type poster… it will get people to look… I intend to print it and if I get a volunteer, I can ship it all out to him/her and from there it can go out to anyone who wishes to hand them out or ? I will provide UPS# for shipping charges.

COMMENTS needed ASAP because we have a graphic designer waiting to make changes if needed. Oh, we forgot the PUMA blog on the poster and will add that before printing.

Might have to request some donations to increase bandwidth/storgar space after we’d got rolling. And unless someone knows how to actually download Youtube videos I’m not sure how we’d actually ‘capture’ them. Anyone know the secret on that?

Bottom line, we can make that suggestion happen.

EVERYONE…EVERYONE….GO TO Clintondems.com site to see under the Diaries section the video posted today… under the Diary by everyvote counts entitled “Gang of Old Ladies”. It is so hilarious. I don’t know how to copy URLs for You Tube videos, but somebody please do it…
You all must see this video! As a BabyBoomer Ole Lady, this is truly one of the funniest videos I have ever seen. It’s Briitish and I suspect it is from an ole Monthy Python set of satires…Anyway, please give yourself the pleasure to day!

Great idea on the posters Fred but we have to be careful.

… I am just speaking for me and how I have seen our united Actions work the best…

…we seem to be pretty coordinated through the hard work of MarylandPuma, Murphy and others really doing a fabulous coordination effort on here.

… I am sure your work is much appreciated, but security and safety on the site is a priority to PUMApac, and we are getting better at that each day.

… I just personally would rather err on the side of caution and be united, fully informed about what we are taking on, and who is behind it.

No offense intended to anyone committed to the PUMApac.

#205 ABinNY on 07.02.08 at 12:47 pm #198 Fred, Posters are a great idea but also think they should be offered thru PUMA pac so anyone can order as many as they care to hang in their own area rather than someone being responsible for distributing all of them, if I understand your proposal correctly.

————————-

I agree. PUMA PAC needs to set up an online store section so they can start selling some stuff, like our tees, mugs, bumper stickers, etc. Members could then buy the posters and other advertising stuff in bulk, possibly at a reduced rate. This would help raise PAC funds to put back into advertising as well! Growth, growth, growth!

Morning! Great I found everyone!! I need some advice … I posted this same comment “downstairs” —

ROE V WADE ARGUMENT

when you are blogging or discussing and having roe v wade dangled as a reason to vote obama this is what you do. ask the person if they have ever actually read the decision. they most likely have not. tell them to educate themselves as roe v wade as a desicion has practically nothing to do with abortion.

yes, the decision did in fact make abortions legal, but it was not because the court said that women could have abortions. the court stated that there was an implied right to privacy in the constitution with regards to our bodies (men and women).

the reason it hasn’t been overturned is because it really isn’t about abortion. if overturned, the precedent for privacy and citizens bodies would no longer exist. this privacy includes everything from diet, and nutrition to more complex issues like medical care.

{THE WHOLE ISSUE OF SUPREME COURT JUSTICES IS COMPLETELY OVERBLOWN BY THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA. REPUBLICAN JUDGES ARE THE ONES THAT DECIDED LAWRENCE VS. TEXAS, A LAW THAT ORIGINALLY MADE IT A CRIMINAL OFFENSE TO ENGAGE IN HOMOSEXUAL ACTS, CONSERVATIVE JUDGES CLEARLY DETERMINED THAT WHAT PEOPLE DO IN THE PRIVACY OF THEIR OWN HOMES IS THEIR BUSINESS.

AS MOST ATTORNEYS CAN ATTEST, THE JUDICIAL BELIEF OF MOST CONSERVATIVES REGARDING PRIVACY ISSUES ARE SO STRONG, THAT THEY WILL GO AGAINST THE BASIC WISHES OF THOSE WHO NOMINATED THEM, WHO TEND TO BE “SOCIAL CONSERVATIVES” (SOMETHING THAT MCCAIN IS NOT). THIS CAN ALSO BE SEEN IN MANY CASES THAT HAVE DEALT WITH GUANTANAMO BAY AND THE ABUSES THEREIN.

IN FACT, IT IS FAIR TO SAY THAT IF YOU TRULY WISH TO HAVE A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT THAT PROTECTS YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS AND DOESN’T EXPAND TOO MUCH, YOU WOULD RATHER HAVE A MCCAIN PRESIDENT NOMINATE THEM THAN A SOCIALIST OBAMA. SPECIALLY CONSIDERING HIS UTTERLY INVASIVE JUDICIAL BELIEFS.

Sorry to burst anyone’s bubble or offend anyone who may be Pro-Life, but Roe v Wade will never be reversed.

The Republicans really don’t want it to be, because it’s much more politically expedient for them to have it as an issue to mobilize their base. If it’s overturned they won’t have a wedge to drive between them and the Democrats.

I discovered this several years ago. So basically this can’t be used over my head.

Let your friend know if she wants to be held hostage by this issue then vote for BO because that is exactly what the Dems are counting on. Women need to liberate themselves from these chains and veiled threats

RESPONSE to: PA4HILL08

We used to create websites before the days of You tube.
I think it is a good idea to have such a site so people who want to “know more about Obama” can go there. Of course it won’t be the version that he wants us to have.
It is a big job because every single link that is flying out there (legit of course) needs to be captured or it will be lost in cyberspace. And the speed with which he makes these flip flops and stupid things he does that he has to quickly drop , it needs to be archived .

I think I can talk my husband into making a template where articles can be copied and pasted and uploaded.
You tube,,, I have to find out.

I am also making a list of the various “strange events” by State for primaries – several have given me links to follow up on – caucus done by another Puma here.

Dear Clinton Dem,
As you may be aware, there are a few brave Clinton delegates out there that refuse to rally around the party due — primarily to Obama’s inexperience and partially due to the obnoxious way he and his people have treated Hillary and her supporters.
There has been a concerted effort to flip every Clinton delegate, pledged or otherwise, to Obama to remove the possibility of Obama being upstaged at the convention. You see, no one is the nominee at the convention until one of the candidates receives the magic number of delegates. That is why Obama is strong-arming anyone that continues to stick with Hillary.

Thanks for the input but of course I have emailed Murphy and Maryland privately. Look, I am just more interested in helping with things that most puma’s can’t do. I am not interested in individual heroism and no ego trips here. I did notice some one a few days ago… singled me out to “watch” but not in so many words. I did not think that it was worth my time to respond.

I belive that even though big strides are accomplished, my gut feeling is that we need to spread the idea that Obama cannot be elected – end of story. But I think many of us are just happy that we have a lot of “material” against him – our membership is what, 100 a day ? I don’t think so. Do you think the Obama camp gets 100 a day – probably 10 times that because his followers are out there converting every day. What do we do, send out another blog, copy and paste everything we read… send out some mail delegates/ deaf ears. I myself am guilty of that.

Do you think we can overturn a nominee like th Obama machine? This guy with his backing is unlike what we have ever seen. McCain’s campaign looks sad compared to his. I like McCain but I wish things we more on an even playing field. With our limited resources and blogging among our cocooning selves…and time ticking.. do we really think it is enough. If it is, I humbly fall in line and continue to blog and express my feelings to you guys. It is after all a nice safe environment where we can feel pretty smug to see our own brilliantly written post. Sorry to rave and rant for everyone to see.

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/07/02/obama-can-we-get-a-little-service-here/

Keep in mind I’ve heard him say things like this to students on campuses before and it makes me think, “What kind of service is he talking about?” Of course he’s never specific but in the back of my mind I wonder if he can’t be specific because it’s something that would resemble the gestapo. I make the connection between Obama and the German youth quite often and maybe I’m being paranoid, but he scares me.

She has set up The Denver Group whose goal is to persuade the party to conduct the convention in a fair, open and transparent manner. The means to do this are through advocacy for the millions of voters whose votes need to be honored at the convention. New Letter from HILLARY today : So as a good Puma citizen, I asked them to rollover the contribution to her Senate re-election. I didn’t know they can refund it. Below is her letter.

I hope you know what your friendship and support has meant to me. You helped me accomplish so much over the course of our campaign; we made history and have changed our country for the better and I am so grateful for your support. Thank you.

As we close our presidential campaign and focus on the future, I have a big favor to ask. I know you went above and beyond by giving $2,300.00 to our general election efforts. Because you contributed the maximum $2,300 to the primary campaign, unfortunately you can’t help pay down the primary debt. However, your continued efforts to raise funds for the debt relief are immensely appreciated.

Today, you can help me start on the next phase. If you agree to transfer your general election contribution to my Senate re-election campaign, Friends of Hillary, you can help me continue to promote the ideas and ideals we worked so hard for during the campaign.

The process couldn’t be any easier. Just fill out a brief form agreeing to move your contribution to Friends of Hillary, and we will take care of the rest.

Click here to transfer your contribution.

By transferring your general election contribution to Friends of Hillary, you’re helping make sure I have the funds I need for the next phase of our journey together.

This will allow me to focus on raising the funds I need to pay down our debt. There’s no better way for you to help right now than to transfer your general election contribution to Friends of Hillary.

I didn’t mean to sound critical. I too have a unflattering impression of the majority of the electorate. “What can you expect from people who get all worked up about American Idol.” And that may be part of the problem; Voters may expect the campaign to mirror that show.
I couldn’t believe that votors couldn’t see through the Bush hypocracy back in 2000 . . . and we know how that turned out.
Obama has run/is running a brilliant campaign and the fact that he is not worried about flip-flopping indicates his level of confidence. By contrast Hillary’s campaign was poorly run and McCain’s sounds tiring and uninspiring. What is saving his canidacy is the fact that he is well known. His campaign has yet to “connect”
on any issues other than national security. I excuse his support of Iraq because he has a son serving there. At least he walks the walk.

Joke for the Day:

Fred. I have to say. I do agree with a lot of your viewpoints and have actually been feeling that a bit lately as well – are we doing enough, or are we just repeating the same mantra over and over and having it fall on deaf ears as you put it. Successful grass roots efforts have to at some point physically be out and about, in the streets, making a very visible statement of cause. Visibility makes people have to face us, have to listen to us, have to actually think about what we’re saying. It is so easy to just delete an email, ignore a fax or letter – and therefore ignore the message, especially if it is one they are not keen on hearing. We seem to be falling into the trap, here in our safe blogging world, where many of the very people we need to ‘reach’ are never going to see/hear our message. We need to be physically organizing and mobilizing, we need to be actually knocking on the DNC’s door (in Chicago) requesting meetings with them to air our complaints, we need to be holding motivated and loud demonstrations (in numbers large enough to be noticed) at events large and small. Indeed, this is precisely how the BO campaign has gotten as far as it has – by physically getting out there among the people. So we need to be fighting fire with fire (sorry about the old cliche but it seems to fit). At least some of the money that we’re putting into P.U.M.A. PAC could be and should be used for these purposes – to actually get boots on the ground across the country in our efforts.

But we also need to keep in mind that we are still in the initial growing stages, so this blog – as a place to throw out ideas and such, and the efforts of our members in posting flyers and writing letters to editors, etc – is also of much value to our efforts. But I do agree that it is soon becoming time to get off the blog and into the streets so our Growls will actually be heard by the very folks who really do need to hear them! And so they cannot ignore us!

They showed the Ad on CNN and it had a REAL MONKEY IN A SUIT that is what people objected to as racist. When they took it off the air, it made the people happy. The Japanese people do not equate a monkey to racism and neither do I. It shows how every culture interprets things differently, how the people of Japan went out of their way to thow the offensive party under the bus so as not to offend anyone AND how the media exploits it and makes everything into a cartoon, even if they have to report on foreign countries to do it. I thought I was being critical of the media. I will ask Murphy to pull my post if she can. #142 yank it!

Thanks for your heartfelt thoughts. I and Mayor 0120 in the Pacific NW feel the same.
Blogging is good.. but ground work really gets people’s attention. It is easy to do the safe work… but the difficult work takes GUTS AND a ton of passion and determination. How many of us on the blog have what it takes… Please … a show of hands. Seriously.

There is not enough physical “on the ground work” – are we scared to show our faces ? The Obama followers are not.

Good afternoon Pumas!
I just found out today that I have the honor of viewing the democratic presidential nominee in my cities 4th of July day parade which takes place on Friday. My husband gave me the news and I thought he was joking at first. Unfortunalty he was not!
I live in the small town of Butte Montana(POP APPR 25000) where Obama is not very popular.
I am going to attend the parade with my family, but I am not excited one bit about seeing BO and his family. Rumor has it that Michelle will be along for the ride.

It is ironic that he has picked Butte Montana. We are a primarily white town that has a small AA population(less then 1%). In general the people are kind to anyone who visits our town welcoming them with open arms. Not to do so would mean loosing needed revenue for the buisnesses and the community. With all this said the majority of individuals who live her support Hillary Clinton/MCcain and not Barrack Obama. This is just another political stunt for BO and he may be doing it to prove that he can win the votes of Hillary supporters in a typical white blue collar city. .
I for one will never vote for him. Although I do know of those who will based on the criteria that he has to be better then the republicain nominee.
We are told that there will be over 100 police offficers and near 30 secret service on hand for the event. This may not seem like alot to many of you, but her in Butte the crime is low and the police force small as well.
Butte will benefit in the monetary aspect of individuals coming in from all over the state and the tourists that are vacationing here this time of year. We need the economic boost and if for this reason only will welcome BO and MO to our city.
Be advised however that this does not change the stance of many of us here in Butte Montana. We will not be led like lambs to vote for Obama and we will hold strong to the belief that our votes for Mccain will be heard. If I had a puma hat or shirt you would be sure to see it in the crowd. I am somewhat cautious though of making to much stink as for the fact that the PUMA alliance her is so small. I do not trust BO and wonder what he would do if he saw a lone PUMA in the crowd. This is a terrible way to feel in a country that is based on freedom of expression and the freedom of speech. What is more ironic is that I feel the need to refrain from such action on the day our country gained its independence.
BO can not ride a float in a parade and make me believe that he is the right person to run this country. It also will not make him look any more patriotic or anti-racist by choosing a town with Butte Montana’s credintials.
Thanks for allowing me to vent PUMA’s. I know many of you will understand where I stand on this and can relate to how I feel. It helps to be able to communicate this with you and will make me a stonger puma in the long run!

ATTENTION PUMA ALERT

PUMAs WHO ARE TRYING TO MAKE CONTACT WITH OTHER PUMAs IN YOUR AREA

Yesterday you should have received an email telling you to sign up to your region. If you did not receive this letter – you need to “join.” At the top of the thread, on the right side, you will find a join button.

We have grown to the point that we are ready to organize ourselves by state and region. This will give us the ability to communicate with each other and to organize around local and regional events.

DO NOT DO THIS TWICE.
BUT IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY SIGNED ONTO YOUR REGION – DO THIS
Please look up your state in the list below to find what region you are in and send an email to the address that matches your region. In the subject line put, your PUMA name and your state. Then you can give as much information as you are comfortable with.

For example, I live in Massachusetts. I find Massachusetts on the list and see that it is in the Northeast Region. I then write an email to:
Northeast@Pumapac.org
Subject line: MamaPuma in Massachusetts

In the body of the email: Hi I am from Boston and would like to meet other PUMA’s in the area to get together and for support and help. Please feel free to share my email address with other PUMAs. (Or leave the last sentence out if you do not share your email address).
Thanks
MamaPuma

Puerto Rico is with the Northeast region states. Wash DC is with the Southeast region.

Wear your t-shirt hand out flyers, you would be surprised how many people feel the same way as you do. They just haven’t found the right avenue to express themselves. If anything it will alert them to PUMA PAC….we may get more members fighting for the same cause.

Good afternoon fellow PUMAS, I have been reading posts for an hour and a half. I didn’t get through all of them, so if I repeat anything, forgive me..

To the post that gave a link to the Rasmussen Reports, I went there, and signed up for their reports. Funny thing — when asking information, they asked for gender. I wrote” female, isn’t this sexist?”

To MarylandPUMA, thank you for the Daily Growl. It is great.

To Fred #187 I love your ideas. I would love one of your posters. Unfortunately, I couldn’t pass any out. I live in a Republican County. I think they are all brain dead.

I wear my Hillary button everywhere. I also take the book, “Woman in Charge” by Carl Bernstein to Doctor appointments, hair appointments, anywhere I might have to wait. It has a great picture of Hillary on the cover.

I will sent an e-mail to Nancy Pelosi; I am so very disappointed in her.

I will also e-mail the Party about Debra Bartoshevich. Is it legal to dismiss a delegate?

I am wondering what is going on with Wesley Clark?. First he said that McCain being a war hero did not qualify him for President.

Yesterday he was on the “Situation Room” (Wolfe is on vacation thank you God). He was supposed to be explaining how he did not mean any disrespect to McCain.

Then he went on to make it worse. He said McCain was “just” a fighter pilot. He was never in high command. Then he went on to say how he (Clark) had been in charge of this and that. Who cares? It was pathetic. I used to like the guy. He drank a double dose of koolaid. I prefer green tea myself..

Sorry this is so long. We must continue to fight. We are on the right side. We WILL be heard. BTW, my local Republican newspaper decided not to print my letter about PUMAS. Hummmm..

catsrRodhamlove… Purrs to all.

Crystalpuma,

Why not hand out flyers and business cards now?
Flyers stuck on the outside of mailboxes on flourescent green or orange paper are effective to get people to read them. Get a few friends and family member members. One to drive, the other to stick flyers on the outside of the mailbox under the flags, its illegal to stick them inside mailboxes. Fold them in half.

Suggest that people might want to show support for their candidate by making signs. See if you can get any signs up along the parade route?

Leave business cards and flyers at stores. It would be nice to get to the real voters now to give them the chance to make a sign if they want to. It will be too late on the day of the parade.

Hand out flyers and signs on the day of the event. Get kids to make signs to bring to the event. Ask a friend or family member to stand with you and help pass out flyers or signs.

Pass out Puma dollars and ask people to mail it to the DNC. Write a letter to the editor. What are your local newspapers? Get their fax # and maybe fellow Pumas can write letters to the editor? Maybe PUMAPAC could send them a press release about what independence means to us.

Themes could be Independence Day and 4th of July freedoms like being able to vote for a nominee and not have one selected for you.

Maybe you could scan your phone book for some phone #’s and send them to Murphy and we could distribute them to our regional groups and get volunteers to call people and try to recruit help to get the PUMA message out, or people to take action by making or displaying a sign, or distributing flyers?

Mention Justsaynodeal.com so they can see how large the coalition is and how widespread.

Can’t we help our fellow PUMA? What would the local newspapers and radio or TV stations think if we sent them letters or called in from all over the nation.

We could also mention donating $20.08 to Hillary on the 4th. Can’t we write some Benjamin Franklin type letters that advocate free and fair elections?

Hi Pumas – Don’t know who this person is, but was reading comments about Hillary scrubbing her site & saw this – lmao – is not a PUMA but maybe could be recruited————- read second paragraph

I am saddened that Obama has paid her money. It shows he can be held for ransom. Hillary made her bed and should have been compelled to sleep in it.

I WAS excited about Obama. Now it appears to be more and more like the same old story, a choice between a poop sandwich and turd burger.

Obama’s flip-flop on FISA is just another example of his lack of commitment and judgment. He will say and/or do anything to get elected – he just has to figure out which group of people he needs the most and then pander to them.

#276 kia on 07.02.08 at 11:58 pm

looks like they are making fun of this site on comedy central’s blog.

http://blog.indecision2008.com/2008/07/02/former-john-mccain-supports-jumps-ship-to-support-john-mccain/

They point out that the founder of this site voted for McCain in the Mass primary and is a McCain donor. What a sham. Proof that the GOP is desperate.

#277 Pink Panther on 07.03.08 at 1:20 am

Is there a website that lists all of Obama’s flip-flops? There are so many, I’m losing track.

Certainly, Obama and his minions must have lost track long ago. How can they defend him when he is sliding from side to side each day?

I actually thought that some of his supporters had ethics but now realize that if they can continue to defend him when he flip-flops on major issues, they stand for nothing.

Go PUMA!

#278 Crystalpuma on 07.03.08 at 2:19 pm

Hello Puma’s
Well tommorow is the big day. I want to thank everyone who responded to my post and for all the encouragement you gave me.

A few updates as of today for tommorows parade here in Butte Montana. The Montana standard has reported that BOs role in the parade is not known. He will be here and a stretch of Harrison ave has been blocked off to car traffic, but we now are unsure if he will even be riding in the parade. There is some rumor that he will not ride or walk, but make an appearance at the parade start point for anyone who wants to see him. If you watch this pumas remember that we are a small town, primarily white and not accustomed to producning large crowds. There is some speculation that this is being done to make the crowds appear larger then they really are.

BO will be hosting a picnic at the campus after the parade. I went to get my ticket this AM and there was a steady line of BO supporters. What is amazing is that they are now rationing the tickets to 2 per person from 4. As we received our tickets we were informed to bring the standard items ie,chair , blanket, sunscreen and our own drinks. I guess there will not be any koolaid at the party. Probably a good thing!

My husband is excited to attend to see what all the hype about BO and MO is. It will be interesting to see how the crowd responds to BO and how he receives us. I can tell you that many of the individuals standing in
line were from the surrounding cities and between the ages of 18-30. Older individuals were getting tickets for children or young friends who were working.

All in all it is a day for a free picnic with our friends here in Butte. I will update you on the event and let you know how it went.

BTW as much as I wish I could hand out flyers or canvass the crowds at the parade, my hubby has outlawed it. Butte is a rough town and the mixture of politics and alcohol tend to make the crowd her somewhat stupid. For the safety of our children who will be with us we cannot make a scene. I will however be prowling the party to see what others are saying and gather any information that I can .

Hope you all have a great 4th of July
