Overnight Ally Cat

What a day, Pumas. We watched out for each other and showed our street smarts. A personal thank you to everyone who defended Puma PAC, our movement, and was my ally today. We really are all in this together. The fine looking fellow above is named O’Leary. He’s scrappy and tough and not willing to back down. Just like us.

Congratulations Puma PAC; today was wonderful, and tomorrow is another day!

Be wonderful to each other.

Thanks to all of the Puma’s who hold down the fort during the day!

I peek in from work occasionally (which is all I can do) and get so bummed that I can’t comment and join the fight.

Oh well, I do that at night.

Keep up the good work Puma’s!!

Well Pumas it has been a very long day. Lots going on. We have grown in number and spirit. When one of us is in need we all gather around. That is what family does, and we are one big cat family now! I have not been able to be on very much during the day, but I sneak in and comment every now and then. I do all the actions that are listed for us to do. I will catch up on the weekend. See you all tomorrow.

I’m really wondering about the BO birth certificate issue. I would think that would be required before even being included in the primaries. Anybody know the truth about all this?

#5 mpdamon on 07.01.08 at 10:26 pm

Wish I could do more

For years I have felt like a lone voice crying ( make that howling ) in the wilderness; checking Le Monde, the Guardian, Al Jazeera, BBC, just to get accurate news
and then operating a lone letter writting, comment posting campaign trying to have my views recognized.
Now I have a pack. Feels good!
Night.

Reposting from downstairs –

I received an email from Senator Clinton’s finance committee today with a request to help pay down her campaign debt. An exerpt of the email follows:

“In the next two weeks we are going to make a serious push in putting a dent in this campaign debt to pay off the vendors. It would help us a great deal if you would commit to raising $5,000 – $10,000 and have all of the funds collected and sent to my attention by July 11th. Contributions can be sent via mail using the attached form and should be made out to Hillary Clinton for President and sent to 4420 N. Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA 22203 Attn; Finance. Contributions can also be made online at https://contribute.hillarycampaign2008.com/form.html?sc=3200. Obviously these are targets; whatever you can do to help — would be deeply appreciated. If you have already maxed out in primary funds, you will be unable to contribute towards the debt retirement…

We have been on this journey together with Hillary for the last 18 months, and yet there is still so much more to accomplish. A critically important task we can ask of you at this moment is to help us reduce the vendor debt.

Thank you again for everything you have done and continue to do to support Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party. She will never forget it. ”

If interested in helping out, and only if you can afford to and only as much as you can give, please use the link they provided above. It’s a secure debt specific donation link that goes directly to her website. If you want to mail a check instead, and want a copy of the debt donation form to submit to the Campaign office with it, email me and I’ll email it out to you. The form is in PDF format by the way. I do know there is a plan by many in the coalition to donate on the 4th, Independence Day, in an amount of $20.08.

Greta’
From a 63 yr old, black female supporter of Hillary, thanks. I knew I would not vote for Obama after the awful debacle in SC where while accusing the Clintons of racism, Obama himself used race-baiting tactics to win SC and further his campaign. Obama had won IA, lost NH, lost Nevada, he had to win SC or risk being out of the race if he didn’t win this overwhelmingly black participating democratic primary. At this point Hillary had a 65% black support in SC. Obama had to rip these voters from Hillary’s hands, thus he played the victim of race on comments that in no way could be consrued to be racist. He was helped in this effort by Donna Brazille and Jim Clyburn of SC. Because I am retired I was able to closely watch his effort unfold. I marched with Dr King. Obama dishonored all who helped in the civil rights struggle and dishonored King. For this I despise him and will never vote for him, ever. I grew up during the James Brown “I’m black and I’m proud” era. I can not be proud of him becomming the first “black affirmative action nominee” due to the actions of the DNC and the super delegates.

Funny, I’ve never tagged a car with spray paint, I’ve never intentionally and maliciously targeted a website, I’ve never blogged in a manner that was prejudice, slanderous or abusive, and I’ve never harassed anybody who had a contrary opinion to my own by e-mail…I do, however, embrace my first amendment rights and exercise them in the democracy that I live in and I am proud to say that I am a PUMA and grateful to Murphy for the forum… intelligent and thoughtful discourse/action will always trump juvenile and malicious behavior…

WHAT A PIG! YALL GOTTA READ THIS, NO CLASS OBAMA!

Gen. Clark won’t back off critique of McCain By DAVID ESPO, AP Special Correspondent
1 hour, 10 minutes ago

Retired Gen. Wesley Clark rejected suggestions he apologize Tuesday for saying John McCain’s medal-winning military service does not qualify him for the White House. Elaborating, Clark said a president must have judgment, not merely courage and character.

Barack Obama, the Democratic presidential hopeful, said Clark’s comments had been inartful. McCain said Obama should go further than that.

“I think the time has come for Sen. Obama to not just repudiate Gen. Clark, but to cut him loose,” McCain said en route to Colombia.

One ally of the Republican presidential contender accused Obama of “winking and nodding” when he should be condemning Clark and his comments. “This is now about Obama, not Wesley Clark,” added Orson Swindle on a conference call with reporters organized by the McCain’s campaign.

Swindle, a retired colonel and — like McCain — prisoner of war in Vietnam, added that Obama should tell his surrogates to “knock this crap off.”

Clark set off the controversy Sunday when he said McCain’s wartime experience as a Navy pilot and his command of an air squadron in peacetime did not provide him with experience needed to become president.

“I don’t think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president,” he added at the time.

McCain frequently emphasizes his military service as he campaigns for the White House.

Obama, who did not serve in the military, frequently cites his opposition to the 2003 invasion of Iraq as evidence of the judgment needed in a commander in chief.

Despite criticism from Republicans, Clark declined to back down in an interview Tuesday morning with ABC. “The experience that he had as a fighter pilot isn’t the same as having been at the highest levels of the military and having to make … life or death decisions about national, strategic issues,” he said.

Asked whether he felt he owed McCain an apology, Clark responded, “I’m very sorry that this has distracted from the message of patriotism that Sen. Obama wants to put out.”

Later, in a National Public Radio interview, Clark was asked about his statements in 2004 that Sen. John Kerry, the Democratic presidential candidate, had “heard the thump of enemy mortars. He’s seen the flash of tracers” and could lead in a time of war.

“I think that you can always cite a candidate’s service in the armed forces as a testimony to his character and his courage. But I don’t think early service justifies moving away from looking at a candidate’s judgment,” he replied.

McCain’s campaign responded with its second conference call by surrogates on this subject in two days.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., rebutted Clark’s claim by arguing that McCain’s years as a prisoner of war and the mistreatment he endured made him uniquely qualified to lead the campaign in the Senate to ban the use of torture in the interrogation of detainees in the war on terror.

“Nobody could have taken the floor and spoken about detainee policy” the same way, Graham added.

Obama, campaigning in Ohio, said he did not believe Clark’s intent was the same as critics who four years ago challenged Kerry’s account of his own wartime service in Vietnam. The so-called Swift Boat ads are widely blamed by Democrats for playing a role in Kerry’s defeat.

“I don’t think that Gen. Clark had the same intent as the Swift Boat ads of four years ago. I reject that analogy,” Obama said.

He said McCain “deserves the utmost honor and respect for his service to our country.”

At the same time, he said his admonishment — in a Monday speech on patriotism — against devaluing McCain’s military service had been in early drafts of the speech, and was not added at the last minute in response to Clark.

“The question is why, given all the vast numbers of things that we’ve got to work on, that would be a top priority of mine,” he said. “The fact that somebody on a cable show or on a news show, like Gen. Clark, said something that was inartful about John McCain, I don’t think is what is keeping Ohioans up at night,” he said.

On Monday, Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton said, “Sen. Obama honors and respects Sen. McCain’s service, and of course he rejects yesterday’s statement by Gen. Clark.”

Regarding the password changes: a couple or so have suggested doing this. I don’t know if Murphy is around to give her input. Is this something we need to do with all that has happened in the last 24 hrs? I had to copy/paste originally before it was recognized. For now it seems secure…my opinion. But if there is doubt or reason, I would be interested to know myself whether to leave it alone or change it. Thanks.

“I don’t think that Gen. Clark had the same intent as the Swift Boat ads of four years ago. I reject that analogy,” Obama said.
-Oh but wait a minute….the whole point would be to discredit McCain’s experience for the presidency by trivializing his military service…so what’s the difference?

““The question is why, given all the vast numbers of things that we’ve got to work on, that would be a top priority of mine,” he said. “The fact that somebody on a cable show or on a news show, like Gen. Clark, said something that was inartful about John McCain, I don’t think is what is keeping Ohioans up at night,” he said. ”

Actually what’s keeping Ohioans up at night is the fear that Obama, with poor judgement and no military experience whatsoever may become president…not to mention the fact that in his quote essentially he was saying that defending McCain was not his problem because he had more important things to do…hmmm sorry…your surrogate…your problem….it’s like throwing something to a jury and having it overruled- once they hear it – the seed has been planted…

Just saw an amazing “political” commercial on MTV – yes I am taking care of grandkids right now and that is their favorite – it had three young African American males – two were friends at a tatoo parlor – one of them wanted a tatoo of Hillary Clinton – the owner of the parlor said sorry that one was discontinued – one of the friends said take Obama – - his friend said if I can’t have Hillary then I want McCain – his friend was giving him a hard time over it – and the owner of the parlor said he had the freedom of choice – DO YOU THINK THERE IS STILL HOPE OUT THERE – wow – I wish I had taped it for all the puma’s here – it was like catnip.

That is a very powerful and enlightening commentary that you copied from the SC woman. Why isn’t there more like that out there for people to read??? It’s like everybody KNOWS what deceit was performed in SC, and really–Bill was the only one who had the guts to say anything about it, and they were all over him.

What angers me most–and then depresses me, until I read PUMA friends’ words here at this site–is that HE has gotten away with this. There are those who know the truth, but they have slunk away into the shadows. And in the meantime, this false prophet gathers more and more followers.

and on a lighter note–Murphy, my cat, Kita, looks just like O’Leary. :)

Dances#17 and All, If you receive ANY email like the one Danceswithpumas #17 described, they have absolutely NOTHING to do with Puma PAC. We are appalled that anyone would try to use the Puma name for personal profit.
Obviously, the Puma idea is out there and we dont own it, but rest assured that Puma PAC is a non-profit, grassroots organization that has been 100% volunteer since Day One — June 3, 2008.

PLEASE, email me at murphy@pumapac.org if you receive emails like this. I have alerted our attorney.

On the other hand, we are automating some of our email functions so we can communicate better with our THOUSANDS of members. You may receive an email from mamapuma or members@pumapac asking you to confirm your subscription to our mailings, or sign up for your state, etc. These are LEGITIMATE emails from Puma PAC, and you should reply to them (if you want to hear from us of course! we wont spam you!)

However, if you ever have any questions about emails you receive PLEASE email me and I will respond.

Thus ends my PSA.

Lin4Hill
posted yesterday that I have started wearing a Mcain button regularly. Often when I go into gay bars I am attacked, but with as much frequency people whisper to me that they will be voting for him as well. It is an obligation to be visible and informed, else everyone will buy into the media myth that is obama.

#88 Goalucard4Hill on 07.01.08 at 11:42 pm

Thank you KyKitten – if you find it – I think it is well worth watching – as I said there is HOPE – and OUR kind of Hope.

Alucard Rodham Puma – kinda catchy – maybe I will start using that. I did report this morning that a local TV station was showing all these 18-22 year olds chaning their middle names to Hussein – so if he gets all that publicity for that – why can’t we – Dances is right – we are all family here.

Hey PUMAs, I always have trouble entering the site and finding the latest updates from all of you. I have the site in my bookmarks, that brings me to the site for that date. I even signed on for the live bookmarks or what ever it is, and nothing new happens. I usually have to go into search and type in the date. It brought me to the end saying something like 54 comments were left. I was on this site this morning and it was over 600 before I left work. I also signed on that new email today and signed up for the state I belong to.
Jeepers, does anyone have the trick to making this happen without all these false trials? Guess PUMA is getting too big for it’s…………..paws. :-)

Just an FYI – I’ve been scouting the blogs and the ‘cleaver’ comment from the previous thread has already made it’s way to the blogosphere, and you can guess what they’re making that comment out to be.

If you are using bookmarks or favorites, it will not take you to the current page. It will take you to the page you bookmarked.

The best way to figure out how to get to the current thread is to look at the arrows on the Title. If they point right, there are newer threads available and they are on the right hand side of that column. If they are on the left, and the arrow points left, there are older threads available.

If you just want to get to the current thread and most recent post, use the Recent Comments sidebard on the right and click on the first username/thread.

I hope this helps.

#96 Trish~Canadians and Texas’ founders/name selectors/whatever seem to have had a lot in common. I looked for a Barack, TX…nothing (except local polling data..that is nothing)
I looked for Hussein, TX…I was sure I would get a hit on that…nothing…March primary results from here.
Then I went Obama, TX…mores polls, more primaries that were frauds, and more biased media.

I have come to the conclusion with this investigation. I am glad that there is nothing positive with the relationship of Barack and Hussein and Obama with Texas. As Ann Richards said in a quote (not about Barack but could apply) “an embarrassment and disgrace to the State.”

Subject donation to Mccain

Comments I told PayPal to forget it and sent my donation to JM by my credit card, one from me and one from my son. 4 more months of this, hope I last that long. did they take over before or after the tee shirt buys? I wrote to customer service at PayPal and told them just what was happening. I have been using PayPal for over 5 years with my EBay, if I find out that they were responsible for this, that will stop.

Well now this is interesting, Paypal is having problem with McCain account and they have freeze on the pac money. UMMM wonder who they are for.

I keep wondering if BO may have made some sort of deal with them to get them to campaign for him with more gusto. Maybe promising to put Hillary in his cabinet??????????????????? Obama’s for Equal Pay,
Yet Pays Female Staffers Less Than MalesBy Fred LucasCNSNews.com Staff WriterJune 30, 2008

(CNSNews.com) – While Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has vowed to make pay equity for women a top priority if elected president, an analysis of his Senate staff shows that women are outnumbered and out-paid by men.

That is in contrast to Republican presidential candidate John McCain’s Senate office, where women, for the most part, out-rank and are paid more than men.

#251 Jeremy on 07.02.08 at 12:46 am

The topic is names. My sister’s husband is William. He goes by Bill. They have two great kids and as my sister said, it happened perfectly, 1 son and 1 daughter…they stopped. She named my niece Hillary. Hillary was born in Sept. of 1992. My sis loves both Bill and Hillary. She always loved the name, Hillary before Hillary. So you can’t get her to commit naming her daughter after the Hillary who became the newest first lady in January, 1993. Anyway, it has really become fun at family get together when she talks about “Bill” and then maybe asks “where is Hillary?” or when I can and ask what is up…her reply is “Well…Bill and Hillary went to play some tennis before it got dark.” Just wanted to add that sentiment. You know, it is really sad regarding the alert. With all that Murphy and this group as gone through…I would just think…when is enough enough.

#102 Maryland PUMA on 07.01.08 at 11:49 pm ******** PUMA ALERT ************

Just an FYI – I’ve been scouting the blogs and the ‘cleaver’ comment from the previous thread has already made it’s way to the blogosphere, and you can guess what they’re making that comment out to be.

Remember, all eyes can see even if they can’t post. And that, fellow PUMAs, they are MOST unhappy about.

I know we are tired and stressed, but when you forget when you were a child, carefree, laughing, and playing, that is when you become old. If any of my responses to that original post downstairs has caused problems, delete them ASAP. However, I have reviewed those posts and see absolutely nothing out of line in consideration. I am a PUMA and will consider what I post with more scrutiny. However, I will NOT stop laughing or acknowledging things that bring out my inner child. That is my touch stone. When you forget that, nothing you offer has meaning. Have a great new day PUMAs.

BO plays victim all the time, there are rarely moments where he doesn’t play victim. I don’t think I’ve seen a canidate be so whiney.

If you can’t take the heat, get the h*** out of the kitchen.

Hillary could always take it and took it in stride, she even cracked jokes about it, thats who I want as my president

#258 Taffy on 07.02.08 at 12:48 am

Is it just me or have other people started to notice the DNC is leaving “him” to flounder a lot more? I have heard (again) rumors that they don’t expect to win with “him” but needed the base built up and the money “he” can bring in. that the party is really looking at filling congress now and then aggressively seeking WH in 2012 when there should be vacancies on supreme court. this would give one party control of all three branches of government. Just putting it out there cause i’ve heard this a few times now.

i had a pick me up tonight. my brother in law who is a republican told me that he was at a party this weekend where there were several democrats. he said each and every one of them said they refuse to vote for BO. they were not all in consensus about what they would do, some would stay home some for mccain but they all agreed they would never vote for him. these are just regular folks, not particularly involved in politics, who have not drank the koolaid so there is hope that there are alot more of them!

Not surprised, I don’t think they will build up their base though, it will probably backfire. The DNC doesn’t have much money, it’s all BO’s money. I’m starting to think the democrats don’t want to have one of their party’s members at the top anymore, they just want to complain about the Republicans

#277 BillieJo on 07.02.08 at 12:55 am

#258 I think *61 (what ever that means) is toast too. The polls just keep getting lower for him. Now he is only up 5% over McCain, and when 3 party folks are added to the mix, he is only up 3%. That is not a bump up after knocking out our girl. Hillary would be blasting ahead in his positions, and there would be some BO followers that were mad as heck too.

#265 sheila7

I suspect that SOME pollsters are trying to rig their polls to make it seem like more Dems are for BO than there really are.

PPP is one that I remember having polls that heavily favored Obama. Just look today: two Florida polls done by different pollsters have Florida to McCain by almost double digits. Same day, PPP comes out with a Poll that says Obama is leading there.

Zogby is another one that had polls favoring Obama way too much. The day before the CA primary, they had Obama up by 13, while Clinton won the state by 10. That’s a more than 20% difference!

In short: Don’t trust what the polls say about PUMAs or pretty much anything else.

#280 DaddysDarlin on 07.02.08 at 12:58 am

27 pretjene, What an appalling story. So BO thinks voting against the war is a better example of military service than McCain’s years of service in the Air-Force? WTF?

This man is beyond an egomaniac, he needs some serious help, his grandiose opinion of himself is simply outrageous.

We can and we will stop BO in Denver, I believe we have the numbers and the strength to overcome all that BO and his supporters throw our way!!!!

#283 Thanks Henry, I thought *61 was the sign of the devil or something :-P

#293 matt2008A on 07.02.08 at 1:01 am

The polls usually favor BO more, especially LA Times and Zogby, I mean the guy who owns Zogby endorsed BO.
Plus if you look at individual states, hes not doing so great. His numbers keep slipping every few weeks as I see at SUSA. (They are now tied in MA & NJ!!)
My personal opinion is that it will be a wider defeat than 2004, probably 7-8 million votes difference, and McCain wins somewhere around 300 EV.

Just a thought

One of the political correspondants on CBS is the brother of BO’s campaign manager Axlerod, the guy who runs Zogby has donated to BO, and has supported him throughout his campaign

I think Kerry is done in Mass. Most of my family lives there, he is really unpopular, and the governor is making it worse. Kerry has like a 30% approval rating and the governor’s approval rating is even lower than that.

Yeah, I’ve heard of Remembering the Kanji before. Basically, I’ve heard people say wonderful things about it, and I’ve heard people say it’s completely useless.

For now, I’m going through a text book “Japanese For Busy People II”, which teaches about 160 Kanji, enough for the JLPT4, which I plan to take in the fall.

Glad to hear another Japanese language learning is on the blog :D .

Thats their way of trying to allways downplay Mccain and the tactics that were used against Hillary. Allways making Obumbus look good and Hillary look bad. Same as now Obumbus is allways trying to make the news with this and that to look above Mccain….he thinks people are all stupid but we are on to his tactics now well i knew from day one he was a empty suit

#318 BillieJo on 07.02.08 at 1:11 am

#289 John, yipes…they will just blame it on PUMA and Hillary as internet snipes. May change some voters though.
Does anyone remember in the news while Hillary was still running against *61 that while some were telling her to drop out, others were saying that she wanted to stay in until the convention because many insiders were thinking that Obama would self destruct? The Sinclair story was already out and was just thought of as a rumor, so I wonder what else others know about him?

#319 mzebest on 07.02.08 at 1:11 am

Also… to any PUMAs in Georgia — I believe I read there will be an election coming up this month (July 15th). Barrows is a corrupt candidate that is supported by Obama. So spread the word to vote Barrows out of office. I posted links on this candidate in a past blog.

I wouldn’t worry about Barrow. I read today that AA Obama supporters are mobilizing to vote him out because they think he waited too long to endorse Obama.

#351 matt2008A on 07.02.08 at 1:22 am

The good news is that Barrow represents a district that is really evenly split, he also recieves tough challenges from Republicans, so he may be defeated anyway He had a squeaker in 2006, and that was supposed to be a bad year for Republicans

I’ll try sandipuma, unfortunately, I don’t know many people my age who supported Hillary, and many who did are backing BO, I’ll see what I can do.

Hi guy’s, Here’s something I found interesting. Did anyone else get this lovely letter from Donna B? I can not believe the audacity of these people. I especially liked the part that the Republicans are getting ready to play dirty politics. What a joke. Needless to say, I did not contribute but I did send her a piece of my mind.

Dear Ms.

In all my years in politics, I have never once seen an opportunity like the one we have in the next 2 days.

What we do before the June 30 midnight deadline could set the stage for sweeping changes. We have a real chance to give Sen. Barack Obama the overwhelming, obstruction-proof majority he will need to turn things around.

How long have we been talking about passing universal health care? About climate change? About getting out of Iraq?

Meeting the DSCC’s $2.25 million fundraising goal is our chance to turn the talk into action. I know you may have never donated to the DSCC before, but even $5 can make a huge difference in November, when it’s part of the combined strength of tens of thousands of committed Democrats.

To bring about the change we all seek, we need Barack Obama in the White House, but we also need to make sure he has a Senate he can work with. We need a Senate majority big enough to overcome Senate Republicans who have now filibustered more bills than any Congress in history. Only a massive wave of support from activists like you can get the job done.

Click here to rush a contribution of $5 or more to the DSCC by June 30. Your support puts us one step closer to a gridlock-proof Democratic Senate majority.

Victory won’t happen on its own. The DSCC is contesting at least 11 Republican-held Senate seats – almost twice as many as in 2006. And they’re on the verge of adding five more states to the list.

Right now, they’re just $111,091 away from their goal – with just one more business day before the deadline. They need your immediate support, because with all those seats in play, the DSCC needs every penny – even just $5 or $20 – to fight for every vote.

The clock is ticking. This deadline is so important that a group of Democratic senators will match every dollar you give by June 30 two to one, effectively tripling the impact you can have on the outcomes of Senate races this fall.

Click here to rush a contribution of $5 or more to the DSCC by June 30. Your support puts us one step closer to a gridlock-proof Democratic Senate majority.

Republicans know they’re in a bad way. 84% of Americans say our nation is on the wrong track after eight years of George Bush’s failed leadership.

Recently, the head of the Republican Senate campaign committee said it’d be a “great night” if they only lost three Senate seats in 2008.

This doesn’t mean they’re going to give up. It just means they’re going to fight dirty.

And in the past, their tactics worked. But they failed in 2006 and they will fail again this year because thousands of Democrats helped the DSCC exceed every fundraising target. That meant they could be hyper-vigilant about meeting every piece of GOP slander head-on.

Even your small contribution can provide the ammo to fight back – and that is why we need you right now- not just next week and not just in October. With so many seats in play, we can’t wait until days before the election to kick our campaigns into high gear – we’ve got to get ahead of the GOP now and never look back. We simply have to meet the DSCC’s online fundraising goal before the urgent June 30 deadline, and it will take all of us playing our role to do it.

Click here to rush a contribution of $5 or more to the DSCC by June 30. Your support puts us one step closer to a gridlock-proof Democratic Senate majority.

Because of Republican obstruction, the U.S. Senate is now the place where good ideas go nowhere.

Senate Republicans have spent the last eight years either rubber-stamping George Bush’s disastrous policies or blocking progressive bills on everything from health care, to climate change, to the war in Iraq.

If we build a united Democratic front to beat this critical fundraising goal, we can expand the Democratic Senate majority. After that, it all changes and Washington will finally get to work passing the most ambitious progressive agenda in a generation.

Each of us just has to do our small part. And we have to do it quick.

Sincerely,
Donna Brazile

I swear, every day Obama just seems to go further and further astray. It’s getting pretty clear that he will say just about anything, pander to just about anyone, and twist things however he needs, to get what he wants.

@392 awesome video! If only obamabots could see the humor in it.

If anyone is interested in this link of “sexism watch” in the primary; this blogger has a collection of over 100 examples of sexism. It is not a pro Hillary site by any means, but I think it’s a good place to show people the examples if questioned by an obama supporter.

Defeating Obama is a personal objective for most of us, but it should not be an objective of the Puma PAC. It would diminish our credibility. Our official goal is reform, not revenge.

#460 nhforhillary on 07.02.08 at 2:08 am

I signed the STOP PUMA PETITION, thought you might like to see the comment I wrote.

Roar! The mighty PUMA listened and swooned. He almost fainted from the inspirational words echoing from the EMPTY SUIT, “STOP PUMA!” Dressed in BLACK, the PUMA hesitated and froze in his tracks. He casually sat for a moment, one paw holding a MARGARITA, and sipped from his straw. The winds carried high pitched sounds to his ears. It sounded like a pack of wounded animals were approaching him. The mighty PUMA turned to see Nancy Pelosi running towards him. Her single FLIP FLOP dangling from her feet, HALF the democrat she used to be, shouting “PLEASE COME BACK”! Close behind her was Howling Howard Dean with his Hound Dog “Rendell” on a leash, tracking the mighty PUMA. Donna Brazille trailed behind them sporting a Tee-shirt that read, I’M NEUTRAL, I REALLY AM!” In the rear, Ted Kennedy, Richardson, and Edwards were holding out their hands with DONATION cups, while John Kerry rode along in his SWIFTBOAT named “DESPERATELY SEEKING VOTES”. The mighty PUMA proudly rose to join his PUMAPAC. He stepped forward towards the CONVENTION and flicked his tail on his shoulder in DISMISSIVE DISSENT. Then he tossed some PUMA DOLLARS over his shoulder and roared “NO DEAL”. Stunned, they watched the Mighty PUMA strut off with his integrity intact and tail raised high. They looked on in utter disbelief and denial, to see a single word shaved beneath the mighty PUMAs tail. “NOBAMA”.

no worries, I visualize HRC taking the Oath of Office before bed.

#462 Seattlegirl on 07.02.08 at 2:08 am

You guys are interesting as always tonight.
#290 Taffy… I think that would actually be a good way out for the Dems, let BO self destruct, nominate Edwards, put Hillary on as VP and they would own the white house for 16 years. There is no way I would vote for BO for anything after the way he smirked while his surrogates were race baiting and acting profoundly sexist but I would vote for Edwards. Of course I am also fine with McCain. I don’t agree with him on everything but he is a good man.

When everyone who still can donates to Hillary on July 4th are we going to do anything to make it clear these are PUMA donations? Like do an amount that ends in a certain unusual number like 3 or 7 or something?

And regarding going to Denver for the convention….you guys should try and stay in private homes. If you can’t find enough PUMAs in town then I would not hesitate to try and find some Republicans who have empty rooms. It is going to be horribly crowded, it is one mile high and it will be hot. You need to be able to disappear into the city and safety quickly. I do not think they will treat protesters kindly. In Seattle when WTO was here they put protesters on buses which were not climate controlled drove them to Magnuson park and left people on them for an entire day with no bathrooms. Plan carefully!

#513 NoMoreInFL on 07.02.08 at 2:27 am

# 409 gorodhamanderson I am sure I will be behind 100 posts…more reading!! :) Here is what I left on the Hound site:

Create a HOUND site to counter PUMAS!?!?! And then you will ask, “Why did we loss by such a large margin?” It’s simple…sit, listen, NO OBAMA!! You will not get my vote, my family’s votes and my friends’ votes even though the unions that many of them belong back him. They like I have a brain that is immune from propaganda and can see clearly how this was the most staged primary ever!! And where was the DNC? In the middle of the pack!! Bad HOUNDS!!

Shame on you Governor Rendell for running to the pack with your tail between your legs!! How can one support a “Presumptive Nominee” that did not get the popular vote, has shady associates, gives millions to the churches he once supported, lies, flip flops more than a fish, tells Cubans in Miami that he will talk to Castro, trashed Hillary continously and did I say he LIED!! That is just a tumbnail of his lack of leadership to lead this great nation.

Now he wants Hillary to help him unite her supporters behind him!?!?! He must be on kool-aid!! This PUMA, family and friends included from sea to shining sea will never support him! Now if at the DNC Convention, there is a roll-call and you along with others that know he is not the right candidate and do the right thing; then Senator Rodham Clinton will be the next President of the United States. Otherwise, go lie down and lick your wounds after November!
FL Rodham PUMA

I owe that woman an incredible debt of gratitude. I am 41 and to be frank I was bored with life. I have a job which pays me okay, but I lacked passion and at first I was more of an Edwards maybe an Obama supporter but I never would have walked door to door for either. As the campaign wore on I fell for Senator Clinton her grace, articulation, stamina and resolve inspired me and I guess I can say woke me from my day to day stupor. I was simply following her lead.

#518 Seattlegirl on 07.02.08 at 2:31 am

OK, you’re right. Hillary should be the one but you will never get the dumb DNC asses to go that route. The Democrat party is just going to self destruct. At the very least after BO loses a purge will be necessary and I don’t think rebuilding is going to be an option. Just leave the party to the elitist idiots and run with a PUMA party of the people.

I think I am too old for a camp ground Henry but it is a good idea, after seeing what happened at WTO I need to know I can disappear to safety fast. And you would be surprised how many people feel sick at 6000 feet elevation, especially people who come from sea level. My Aunt and Cousin live in Denver. They are Republicans but they will help me out if I decide to go.

#559 sandipuma on 07.02.08 at 2:47 am

I think we all should write to him. You go to contact at his sight. Then you fill out a form and go from there. It turned out to be easy. I put in President Bill Clinton. Then hit his foundation and boom it worked.

#560 antifish on 07.02.08 at 2:47 am

#549 virginia.puma I thought I was the only one that thought about dropping 18 million plus from a private plane. Yes, will have to pay to clean it up but the coverage around the world would be…priceless!!

Can you see their faces looking upward as 18 million plus falls on them. Can’t keep that in a fenced area!! :)

#566 sandipuma on 07.02.08 at 2:52 am

now remember we all needto write letters to news papers and let them know who we are and what we are about. here and over seas

#567 antifish on 07.02.08 at 2:52 am

sandi,

Do you ever sleep?

#568 virginia.puma on 07.02.08 at 2:53 am

Why would we have to pay? I mean, how would they know which one of the coalition did it? Anyway, the picture in my mind is priceless.

#569 nhforhillary on 07.02.08 at 2:55 am

I sent this version to Murphy

Roar! The mighty PUMA listened and swooned. She almost fainted from the inspirational words echoing from the EMPTY SUIT, “STOP PUMA!” Dressed in BLACK, the PUMA hesitated and froze in her tracks. She casually sat for a moment, one paw holding a MARGARITA, and sipped from her straw. The winds carried high pitched sounds to her ears. It sounded like a pack of wounded animals were approaching her. The mighty PUMA turned to see Nancy Pelosi running towards her. The mighty PUMA proudly rose to join her PUMAPAC. She stepped forward towards the CONVENTION and flicked her tail on her shoulder in DISMISSIVE DISSENT. Then she tossed some PUMA DOLLARS over her shoulder and roared “NO DEAL”. Stunned, they watched the Mighty PUMA strut off with her integrity intact and tail raised high. They looked on in utter disbelief and denial, to see a single word shaved beneath the mighty PUMAs tail. “NOBAMA”.

Nancy

#570 NoMoreInFL on 07.02.08 at 2:55 am

They charge the pilot unless we write *61 on it!! :)

#571 antifish on 07.02.08 at 2:55 am

All right, Pumas, I’ll see you tomorrow. Good night.

#572 virginia.puma on 07.02.08 at 2:55 am

And each flyer should be numbered! Anyway, now that I am back with a new name, I hope to be able to post again. Will see all on the morrow!! Off to bed now.

#573 henry on 07.02.08 at 2:55 am

One more time
I think it would be highly effective to go into areas hillary won by a large margin with door hangers which list reasons from a to z not to vote for obama– ex. A=ayers, B=bitter gate, black panthers affiliation, C= chicago politics and so on. cheaper than a commercial and one could provide links to each issue under them.

#574 sandipuma on 07.02.08 at 2:56 am

I wrote a letter to Letters@guardian.co.uk and got a thank you letter back from them. I told them how bad this election ( selection was from day one and went on to up to now and who we are and what we are doing.
This is the news paper that said Bill Clinton said Obama can kiss his A$$

#575 antifish on 07.02.08 at 2:56 am

nh, you’re killing me! :D

#576 virginia.puma on 07.02.08 at 2:57 am

Henery~ that is good. Would take major logistics, but it is a good idea. Send the idea to your state (regional) leader.

#577 NoMoreInFL on 07.02.08 at 2:58 am

570 Henry Rodham That is a great idea!! We could put them on houses that have *61 signs on it…it may make some of them think and vote differently!

#578 sandipuma on 07.02.08 at 2:58 am

Tomorrow i am planning on writing at least anywhere from 5 to 10 news papers a day and then start with writing radio stations and let them know who we are and what we are about.

#579 henry on 07.02.08 at 3:00 am

virginia.pumarodham
puma regional leader?
i think it would be quite cheap and finding out how specific towns is readily available.
sorry for adding rodham to the end of your id but it is in response to the kids all over the news today who are legally changing thier middle names to hussein.

#580 NoMoreInFL on 07.02.08 at 3:01 am

It’s simple…as a pac, I believe we have access to voters records and can cover super voters especially.

#581 virginia.puma on 07.02.08 at 3:01 am

sandipuma ~ do you have a standardized letter? I would like to mail people, newspapers, in WVa.

#582 sandipuma on 07.02.08 at 3:01 am

Good idea Henry :)

#583 virginia.puma on 07.02.08 at 3:03 am

Henry~ Love Rodham

#584 nhforhillary on 07.02.08 at 3:03 am

I would love to have a flyer describing the reasons not to vote for and warning that a vote for Hillary might wind up as Obamas again, depending on their state rules.

#585 sandipuma on 07.02.08 at 3:04 am

I did but when i lost aol i lost it. But i will write another and we can see what can be added and what should be changed.

#586 henry on 07.02.08 at 3:04 am

Also, I recruited an Independent voter to become a PUMA tonight.

#590 NoMoreInFL on 07.02.08 at 3:08 am

#592 henry on 07.02.08 at 3:09 am

its easy peasy you get a copy online or a physical copy from the library. regions that were decidely Hill you canvass with the door hangers. Rev Wright and Ayers are now in the background if we put them together with all of the flip/flops and other gaffes on one page the voter may question.

Good Morning PUMA’s

#623 PumaAllie on 07.02.08 at 6:24 am

First thoughts this morning are that the Declaration of Intentions (or whatever we call it) are a fantastic idea, and if we can pass it round the other sites to get re-drafted and agreed on, it would greatly help us.

Also my thoughts on it are that we should include* (*if it is not there already, I only scanned it so far) … a paragraph making absolutely clear that we are a non violent political group and only advocate peaceful and democratic process and also clarify that we do not advocate sexism, racism or any other ism that discriminates. ie it is purely about the issues.

As I said it might already be there, I only just checked in and tried to catch up with everything.

#624 Battle for the Hill on 07.02.08 at 6:24 am

I just heard Bill O’Reilly state on Fox that even BO’s supporters are gettting frustated with him, with all the flip-flopping he’s doing – specifically the Moveon.org people. He said they’re complaining all over the blogs. Bill even went so far to say that it’s not too late to put Hillary in – instead or Obama! I think we should thank him.

#625 anonymous on 07.02.08 at 6:25 am

Hi PUMAs

I am sorry that I wasn’t here all day. Time is flying by very fast, and I am back to “playing the grown up again”. I called Republican Party to see if they have any jobs to work on campaigns. I’ll have to call them again. I desperately want to work on somebody’s campaign . Grassroots organization is looking for people, but I am not sure if I can go door-to-door. I’ll keep on calling local campaigns tomorrow. Hopefully I’ll get something. It would be very exciting. ;) :)

Any ideas?

[[ IF HER GEAR…WAS BEING ORDER….AND AT THE PUMA’S STATE MEETING…FOR EVERY 5 to ? PEOPLE THAT YOU BRING AND SIGN UP AS PUMA AT OUR STATE GROUPS…
YOU WOULD RECEIVE A SHIRT……FOR 3 A BUTTON….
IT WOULD PUT THE POWER OUT THERE FOR PEOPLE TO SEE THESE REMINDERS THAT WE ARE STILL HERE …AND SHE HAS 18 MILLION AND GROWING SUPPORTORS]]

Or how about this one…. if Murpy has the programmer to do it….

PUMA buys Hillary stuff in bulk from the donations it receives here…

then,

Murphy puts up a SIGN UP for a PUMA newsletter and get a FREE Hillary Clinton t-shirt… or, sign up any 3 friends and get a free Hillary Clinton button PLUS a puma shirt bla bla bla. Or something like that… it would kill two birds with one stone… get more visibility for PUMA and help pay down Hillary’s debt or at least show support for our candidate.

#628 cosmeta on 07.02.08 at 7:14 am

242 BillieJo on 07.02.08 at 12:43 am, WROTE,

[[ #226 Mat… I wonder if Hillary and Bill get excited to see so many people are still on their side? ]]

I am sure by now they know of PUMA… I know I’ve already left messages on the Hillary blog or from her contact me page… Nothing is ever posted of course… but I still leave them figuring… Well, if someone *is* reading it enought to censor me out, it is worth a shot to have my voice heard.

[[I am not happy with her just being a senator for another 4 years.]]

I am sure this is not her intention and I certainly do not speak for Hillary, but she could do them a lot of damage by staying in the senate… Like, (pardon my french), but, she could screw them big time if they needed her vote to pass an important Party-favored bill.

-or-

She could say, P-R-E-S-E-N-T

lol

#631 merryjaine on 07.02.08 at 7:31 am

Help! I need help — OK … I have this friend … who did (DID) vote for Hillary … but now is planning on voting for “The One Whose Middle Name Cannot be Mentioned” … OK … she says that the reason she cannot vote for Hillary is because, she would just be throwing her vote away and McCain would appoint a Supreme Court Justice who would overturn Roe v. Wade.

My usual response to this type of response is that sometimes you just have to take a stand in your life, and do the right thing! And let the chips fly where they will. And deal with Roe v. Wade, if and when it becomes an issue, and protest that! That you just have to draw a line in the stand, and say, I am not going to let the DNC, the sexist media, and the good ole’ boys clubs MAN-ipuilate, humiliate, demean, and degrade me and my candidate! That one person can’t fix all the problems in the world, but you can stop some of them! Stop the sexism, and maybe Roe v. Wade would take care of itself!

Does anyone out there have any other response to the argument that 1) A protest vote is just throwing your vote away, and 2) A protest vote will permit the overturn of Roe v. Wade???????????????????

My response seems to fall on deaf ears!

Thanks!

#632 PumaAllie on 07.02.08 at 7:38 am

The best argument I have heard is that it is known as “settled law” and the Republicans have been in the White House with a majority in the SCOTUS all this time and haven’t touched it and are unlikely to.

Also you can never predict what a Republican justice will do, they often don’t vote in the way the President who put them there wants them to.

#633 PumaAllie on 07.02.08 at 7:43 am

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stare_decisis

I don’t know myself if this applies, but I have heard legal commentators on the television and radio say that the Supreme Court will probably not change this law. If they were going to, they would have done so by now.

#634 merryjaine on 07.02.08 at 7:45 am

Also, thanks to the person who asked about *61 — I had no idea either. And now, wtf, does it mean when a blogger says that they are taking it upstairs??? Where exactly are they going?? Upstairs to the next most recent post? Upstairs to a higher level of authority? Upstairs to bed? Kidding! Excuse the levity! I have already been admonished once for that “cutsie stuff” by someone who was leaving in a bit of a huff … to go “upstairs”!!!

#635 PumaAllie on 07.02.08 at 7:51 am

“go upstairs” means that someone (usually the owner of the blog) has started a new post and they want everyone to go and read it and post comments on it.

The reason they do it is because the new thread will be most likely where everyone else is posting.

They call it upstairs because you have to scroll up, reload the home page and then the new post will be above the one you were posting on before. ie it is upstairs of the older thread.

#636 murphy on 07.02.08 at 7:54 am

#642 ClintonRules on 07.02.08 at 10:44 am

Does anyone else think its funny just how paranoid looney b (Donna B) is getting?

First she was mad at us and now she thinks we’re all a bunch of Republicans. This is their new strategy?

its amazing, she went from mad at us to paranoid that we’re a bunch of republicans.

Why, if we’re Republicans, would we be mad that NObo is the nominee? Wouldn’t we want him to be the nominee? We all know Hillary can beat McCain…why would a bunch of Republicans want her to get the nomination?

Because we wouldn’t vote McCain? Well, I think most of us have already said we would so that’s not the reason we’re mad…hmm…maybe, just maybe we really are Clinton supporters!! GASP! Dean! Did you catch that! Or did I type too quickly for you lol.

Tomorrow millions of Democrats and Independents will UNITE in 2 causes, to retire Senator Clinton’s debt, donate and join John McCain For President. Tomorrow history will be made and the steps to rebuild the Democrat party will begin. The old saying you don’t miss your water into the well runs dry. Howard and Donna take a look in the well tomorrow. The Democrat party is no longer the party of the people its the party of the election fraud, greed, flip flops and losing candidates. I will leave this party with a heavy heart, but with a great sense of dignity. I am not afraid of John McCain I know from his PROVEN record he will work across party lines. Senator Clinton and McCain have respect and admiration for each other I believe they will work together and advance many of her policies.

#647 KarlaforHillary on 07.02.08 at 11:35 am

#646 John

I totally agree with you. I too think that Senators Clinton and McCain will work together to advance many of her policies. Also, I truly believe that McCain loves this country and want to do what he feels is best for it. I don’t believe in everything he stands for, but I don’t think that Obama stands for anything other than arrogance and desire for power. I will never vote for him.

Fellow Puma’s if you have a Google account, go in and erase your history.(on NoQuarter they tell you how to erase the history. If you have a Google site, I’d move it to WordPress. Google has a reputation for keeping track of your searches and they have contributed to Obama. I don’t use Google search anymore, I use Yahoo. I started to get a Google account when I,
wanted to make a comment on Emilyslist, but they wanted me to give friends addresses, since “I wasn’t a member of any blogs(wrong) then they sent me to Emilyslist to make a contribution. I just backed out of the whole thing. I have multiple spy-ware and a firewall so haven’t had any problems yet. So please beware of Google. Hope someones still here to read this.

Hi Pumas
I need your help. There is a contest by AKC to choose a dog for Ovomit. Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is winning. I own, rescue & foster Wheatens and I don’t want him to be matched with one. I am currently fostering a male named “Murphy” :) Please vote for a another dog for him. Maybe the Chinese Crested with its African heritage or a poodle since he is the DNC’s lapdog, but I like Poodles too.

Thanks!
