I don’t think the Obama Movement is very happy with us today. Remember, these guys are relentless, unprincipled, and implacable. We are facing an enormous task. The trolling, the intimidation, the bullying, and the harassing IS NOT GOING TO STOP. Today in the parking lot of my local grocery store I was harassed and insulted by a condescending blowhard who had absolutely NO QUALMS about yelling at me in public when I was alone with my 7 year old. Not because he had any idea that I’m associated with Puma PAC — simply because of the Hillary Clinton bumper sticker on my goofy old minivan. No big deal, right? WRONG. It IS a big deal. Obama has lost the election already. His followers are not ready to accept that, however, and MANY of them are angry. Our greatest strength is in numbers, so PLEASE — spread the word. There is safety and strength in numbers. Talk to your friends and family about the ugly turn the Obama Movement is taking.
Harassing women in grocery store parking lots?

FYI for the evening – in the early thread someone mentioned about something they heard about the AL voters fraud. I guess it is for real. On Fox News they had the attorney general on from AL and they are investigating WIDE spread voters fraud, including but not limited ppl being PAID for there votes. $40 to $100? Today as I walked the parking lot to the super market, I saw a car with an Obama sticker. I wished at that moment I had a card or an information PUMA slip to leave at the car window. Next time I will be prepare to do so. I carry the cards with me at all times. Let’s get the word out!

I have just finished a really emotional rant here at home discussing all of this low underhanded dealing by the Obama supporters. It was not directly about the blogg situation, but about the smearing of John McCain’s military contribution by Wesley Clark.
I generally disagree with Senator McCain on a number of policies. That is a given, as I am a democrat and he is not. That does not give the Obama supporters and surrogates the right to denigrade him and his status as an American Hero. The Obama campaign is following the same pattern with this that it used to paint the Clintons as racists. First you have a whole string of people chip away at the opponent’s main claim to fame, then you have one or two big attacks by other more powerful surrogates, then you (Obama) apologise for the ‘misunderstaning’ and give a rousing speech to reasure the electorate that you are a magnificent person and all of your motives are wonderful.
I don’t buy it, and I don’t think the rest of the non coolaid voters will buy it either.

I live in MA and during the primaries I proudly wore my Hillary T-shirt. I was approached by quite a few people who said they were voting for Clinton but didn’t dare tell their families. I found this interesting because Clinton won MA by a wide margin despite Obama being endorsed by Kennedy, Kerry, Patrick and the Boston Globe.
We learned with the exit polls that many people don’t want to say publically who they support. I’ll bet that there are closet PUMAS out there.

I believe the elderly are probably the most suspicious group about BO. I know in GA, many elderly dems won’t vote for him b/c they cannot trust him. Hillary ran up huge margins with the elderly, so thats also a plus.
There are also large elderly populations in key states such as FL, PA, NV, NM & NJ. That would probably be the best places to focus.

In the letter I wrote to Elizabeth Edwards, I told her that if it were her husband in Obama’s place he would never have treated Senator Clinton the way Obama did, that he always encourged women in business and politics. I have a similar story, I was raised by independents, who kept politics to themselves. I first got interested in the 2004 election (though I did not really like Kerry). I had followed Hillary in the senate, and once I saw her announce that she was running, I pledged my support to her. I know what you mean. I kind of played a wild card, because I met them once, even though she most likely will not remember me, maybe she will read it. When I can get the official email for these senators I try to write them and say their name was used by the Obama fund raisers and be very respectful when I state my reason not to donate ( I never tell them I give all my extra money to Puma ha ha) I always say we would like to have a chance to take to them because their futures as Senators are also on the line. Maybe one of them will listen and contact Murphy. Would’nt that be great.

Quick story. I was washing my car in the rain back in 1988 when I was an apartment dweller. When all of a sudden a girl rolled by slowly and parked her car next to my space.
As she walked across the grass to her apartment I heard her yell out frustratingly so, “You always park on the line, you know that?”
I looked down at the lines and sure as heck my tires were on a line. I glanced at her, then back at the tires. Then back at her again like Mr. Spock with one eyebrow raised. Then continued washing my car without saying a word.
“You know! You know!” she kept saying.
Rather than get any wetter by trying to get a reaction out of me she decided to leave me alone. No harm done. I like happy, non-violent endings like that.

I wrote, faxed, or emailed about 10 to 12 superdelegates in my state. I really do not believe that they expect us to fall in line. Most of our letters were adamant about the corruption in the Democratic nomination process.

Yes, I’m awake. I’ve been searching the internet on some information I heard on a liberal radio commentator’s show tonight. I did finally find the news articles that reflect what the commentator was talking about. Go to “timesonline” or “the nation” . A few cracks are starting to show in the relationship between the left wing Democrats and the Obama moving toward the center “show”. The articles talk about O’s support of FISA and his campaign advisors talking of the O administration retaining Robert Gates, Sec. of Defense. The liberal, liberal media really had a “rant” on those two items. Sounds like two more flip-flops to me.

I think we’re all a bit sensitive because of all the “hate” that has been thrown our way in the past month. Poor Murphy – got it in the parking lot in front of her 7 yrs. old. I’ve been experiencing it since I wrote a Letter to the Editor. The wife of a local candidate for election in our county wrote a reply to my letter and was really quite “upset” at my remarks. So I sent a PUMA flier on which I wrote: I have the utmost respect for you and your family, but I must follow the path of my conscience. Thank you. Saw her sister-in-law tonight at a party and the sister-in-law wouldn’t even speak to me. I just laughed to myself – it’s high school and middle school all over again.
My post at the NYT Google blocking blogs article is still in moderation too. I’ve done a lot of posting at such MSM sites and sometimes the post shows up next day. I think they don’t really pay their moderators to work 24 hours.
Really, a post may wait hours during the day too, then a whole batch of posts get approved and go up at once.

And yes, I’ve heard all the dirt and more. I’m not putting my head under the pillows when it comes to his background, but everyone of the politicians have “dirt” so to speak. Do I like it? No. But I strongly believe in the right of a person to be innocent until proven guilty in this country. If there is an indictment by Fitzgerald as has been rumored, then perhaps I’ll “eat my word”, but O doesn’t need me to defend him. I still won’t support him, because last Fall when I did research on all candidates positions and their experience, I found him really “weak” in comparison to almost anyone else of all the candidates. They’ve all got baggage and as we know, it’s thrown out there for all to see by the MSM and the other campaigns. Somehow, I have to focus on the problem at hand and that is the DNC and its unwillingness to focus on the “best” and most “experienced” candidate for the job. Instead, they chose to back the “American Idol” and support their 50 state strategy which is someone’s (Dean’s) legacy. So, it’s not so much the person that I focus as the campaign and the party. It keeps my anger and disappointment in check.

I am sorry to say this, but I don’t like HBO as a person and I don’t like his policies.
I don’t like him because he is dishonest. Probably the bigger fraud I have seen than him is Putin. He turns everything upside down just so that he would benefit from it. He said it himself–just before the Oregon primary, he held a rally when somebody asked him if he was going to “give” Florida to Hillary he said:
“Now that I am a presumptive nominnee I will do everything possible to seat Florida and Michigan. We need their votes in November and it is in my best interest to make sure that they are happy.”
This REALLY p***ed me off. Later in another article they wrote that it’s typical not to give your opponent an advantage and that’s why he waited out to make sure that Hillary couldn’t catch up with him, but that was some statement.
That’s why I don’t like him.

I am not sure, but I am just really angry at how DNC is abusing us. It’s not right, and it’s not fair. We are people, and we have feelings. I am just really angry at them. How can they do this to us? There’s 538 people in Washington who are members of Congress (including 100 Senators). They represent millions of us living here. They are there to tell the Government what we want every day, so that we could get what we want and need. Why is a small group of people in charge of the Democratic Party forcing us to follow their rules? I was a child when we were afraid to say anything bad about the Government. There was a joke about KGB, and we had to wisper it to each other, so that we wouldn’t get in trouble. My sister’s husband wrote something against Communistic Government in 1987 and he signed both of their names–they both almost had their high school diplomas taken away and had notes on their records which would prevent them forever from going to University, getting a job, etc. My sister was a straight “A” student and she was supposed to receive a silver medal at graduation–they almost took it away. My mom, my sister’s teacher, vice principal, principal and every other high person in the school made numerous trips to city government asking and pleading them, not to take away her medal and to allowing her to graduate. THAT’S how we lived. And today we have a similar situation where a small goup of people is telling us what to do–make one of the most important decisions of our lives. I am very sad.

I truly understand the frustration that has been born of this current political climate! I absolutely empathize. But I also want to be cautious not to accuse anyone of wrongdoing if we don’t have evidence. Just like we didn’t like being accused of vandalizing cars in FL, I would not like to accuse any group of something for which they are not responsible. I find those kinds of accusations unproductive and just fueling the hate. So, my question was, in this particular instance, regarding the Internet difficulties, do we have evidence that we can concretely connect with one group, such as the Obama campaign? I think we may have more evidence about the DNC and the irregularities of the primary election season, but I am not sure we have the same level of evidence regarding this recent incident. Ultimately, and this is my personal opinion, I do not want our group to end up slinging mud that ends up soiling our own credibility and mission.

MY STORY:
Joined PUMA after sitting on the fence for two weeks. Was reading the donedems website for a long time.
I must admit that I was not a Hillary Clinton supporter from the start… seems that I was influenced by the press and their dirty dealings in the beginning… I was not an Obama supporter either… John Edwards was my choice. Well the field was cleared and Hillary and Obama were the choices. I found myself in a quandry and wondered which one? I started doing my research and found that the press was so gung ho on Obama that the hairs on my neck stood up as a warning… hmmmmmmm … every time I did not listen to that little voice I got in trouble… so, wow…. YouTube became such a big deal that the press had to report the Rev. Wright issue… oh boy, now I knew why I had the hair on the back of my head stood up. I knew that I was listening to a politician who had learned over 20 years how to sway people to his point of view. I was right… a politician with emotional appeal and nothing else… Change… what change? Never any substance to his speeches. No knowledge of how to make the changes. I cannot and will not support Obama… You can ask for all the money, but this girl is not going to put money in the “donation basket” for a political preacher with no message….
Sorry, but that’s my story and I am sticking to it!!!

Sunday April 28th 2008 the Rev. Jeremiah Wright came to Detroit Michigan to address the Michigan NAACP. He gave a sermon with a very focused message, vote Barack Obama and I am not a racist. Well after listening to his sermon and taking time to absorb his oration, I am astounded at just how insulated Rev. Wright must be, ethnically, socially and culturally or is that just what he aspires for his followers?
Apparently the esteemed Rev. Wright has missed a large part of the world I live in. The world I live in is full of color and individual variances, we have blue, green, pink, red and any other color of hair we have people with a lot of cranial accessories (facial jewelry), we have heterosexuals working alongside homosexuals that do not experience discrimination and vice versa, we have white and black and brown and any color you can image that attend church together, work together, we live along side each other, we travel together, our children go to school together, we are involved in our community together, we dine together, we walk through the same doors, we drink from the same fountains. America has been changing, apparently Rev. Wright has not rather it would seem he has hidden from progress.
Rev. Wright was correct about one thing, “different is not defective”. Guess what Rev. Wright. Most of America already knows that and lives it everyday. Although it appears the esteemed Rev. Wright has segregated himself and his community to the point that this concept is new to him. I am going to go Rev. Wright one better, different is not defective different is delightful. Rev. Wright different is beautiful, colorful, and interesting and in this day and age it is not discouraged it is encouraged.
Despite his constant subliminal Vote for Barack Obama “Change is coming” messages, it was apparent rather than seeking unity and progress he was using the art of phraseology and the beautiful spirit filled exuberance of the black church to put emphasis on his underlying message of separatism.
My roots are not in Africa, my ancestors were, my neighbors roots are not in Europe, their ancestors where, my roots are in America. I am a person of color, but I am a American I am not an African and make no mistake my loyalties lie with America Rev. Wright. I do not wish to separate myself nor my family from America I do not wish to see a black America and white America and yellow America and brown America.
Rev. Wright I grew up on welfare in “the projects”. I am now a college graduate a wife and mother of 2 children. I will not teach my children to look for injustices because if they cant make it in this world and rise above the unfairness we all experience in life it is their own deficiencies not societies. If you teach children to look for injustices they will always find them and they will always see others of another color as out to hold them down, with an attitude like that they will never find successes.
I do not now nor have I ever nor will I ever tolerate Ebonics in my household, while we do not speak the English of England or Europe we do speak, in this house, the English of America, because Rev. Wright we are American’s in this house. I am personally sick and tired of hearing all about the mother land Africa, yes our history is beautiful and colorful and sad and frightening and bright and vibrant but my mother land is America my ancestors mother land was Africa. I will tell you what apparently other blacks don’t want to tell you or are afraid to tell you, if you feel so strongly that big bad whitey is out to get you and the mother land Africa needs so much help then you should leave you mansion in Illinois and go to Africa and do you nasty separatist work there.

Welcome to you and thanks for a very inspiring contribution. Regarding Race relations; we’re not totally THERE yet, but getting closer every day. And while I find it gratifying thaqt a Black can become the presumptive Democratic nominee, I have a real problem with Obama himself; his lack of experience, flip-flopping, and Chicago-thug style politics. My main issue however is not with Obama but with the Democratic Party. They act like they’ve been reading the Karl Rove playbook. Our only chance to keep the democracy we desire is to take back our party.

I saw my 90 year old neighbor this AM and she confided to me that her children want her to vote for Obama.
She whispered to me that she has no intention of doing so but would I please not tell her children. Made my day!

Let me start by saying over the past month, I can genuinely say that I have never seen a group of individuals (because I do know, despite what the media says, that there are men here) that as as courteous, thoughtful, and as well educated on our political process as your group has. Just some words I copied first to show you what a cultist is and an actual cultist answer:
Everyone take note: Cultists are fiercly fraternal. They take personal offense to any and all things critical to their brethren. They attack en masse, and will often recruit Cultists for backup whenever they need to portray the appearance of popularity. One should expect a flood of Cultist rhetoric at that point.
Pay attention everyone. This type of Cultist is among the more reasonable types. They are able to understand right from wrong, and generally are well informed and honest. The issue with this type is they are radically naive. This cultist is arguing something like: A Nazi soldier was not necessarily anti-semetic, he may have been just really proud to be German and serve in the Army. While technically true, only the most naive among us would come to the same conclusion. (ignoring Nazi conscrpits)
This is a prime example of the Cultist mentality. He/she cannot grasp anything as fact (even the obvious) unless their leader says it to be true. A Cultist can look at this video and actually be offended by the obvious. This explains why a Cultist will fall for their leader praising the public financing system, and then saying it’s fundamentally broken within a 7 month period. They will do so passionately and with a straight face, because this is a cult.

Now, look how this Cultist still cannot articulate a cogent argument; even after intial criticism. He/she assumes I’ve never been to Chicago based on NOTHING; for all they know I could be blogging FROM Chicago. And, then, of course, the required childish insult; in this case “smoking crack.” To a Cultist, opposition to Obama is, by definition, ignorance.

One of my concerns here is that Limbaugh attempted to corrupt the vote; Brazile attempted to suppress it. Obama’s thugs attempted to do both. Aren’t these things illegal? Anyone have the answer to that?

When I was on the link referenced by #371 jrhed above, I noticed a link to an article in the Baltimore Sun.
As you may be aware Maryland (my state) is a very pro-Obama state ( free donuts, hotdogs and transportation gets you lots of votes).
This article explains how Obama needs to capture the Independent Voters. There is a comments section following the article.
We are going to need lots of exposure in this state and I am asking that everyone visit this article and post a comment.
I am going to do mine as soon as I return from my meetings this AM.

Sounds like some one is playing the election system, one just needs to get the votes, the NUMBER game.
Nothing else matters. It does not matter who are the voters. Young college student first timer can be asked to vote to make up those core loyal Democrat votes. There is NO debate on issues, and not even one town hall meetings so far.

McCain never should have apologized for Bill Cunningham’s statements imo… He at least should have waited until he knew what went on while he was driving to that event. Instead, the new corp grabbed him when he was just walking in and apologized without knowing what had taken place at his event. If he handn’t done that, maybe more media would have looked into BHO’s background instead of making Cunningham the issue that week. Ah well—
