The Voice of the Voters
We are the voice of VOTERS, not of special interest groups, not of corporations, not of politicians. We are motivated by the factional internecine fighting and the destructive policies carried out by our inept party leadership. It is the divisive disdain for VOTERS, practiced by the leadership and egged on by the media and some politicians, that has brought the Democratic Party to the brink of ANOTHER GENERAL ELECTION LOSS and the irrelevancy of the Democratic Party altogether.
Our aim is to be the AARP of Democrats. EVERY SINGLE Democrat in America should be a member of Puma PAC. Our mission is to make sure that EVERY VOTE IS COUNTED EVERY TIME, that every good Democratic candidate gets FAIR TREATMENT by the Party, and that EVERY DEMOCRATIC VOTER matters to the Party. We are the voters. We run the party, the party does not run us. This is the United States, Howard Dean and Donna Brazile — not Cuba or North Korea, where the Party rules with an iron fist and voters fall in line. If you own a copy of the Constitution, time to drag it out of the closet where it’s been gathering dust along with your college thesis and other long-forgotten history books.
In this country, political parties are organized to represent and advocate for the values and needs of VOTERS. Somewhere along the line, you and every shallowly ambitious politician like you, forgot this. You seem to believe that our job as voters is to PROMOTE YOU and your chosen candidate to positions of immense power and fame.
We’ll come around? We’ll fall in line? We’ll rally behind YOU and YOUR CANDIDATE? You have got to be kidding, right? How about this? YOU will come around! YOU will fall in line! YOU will rally behind US — our values, our principles, and our REAL needs. You seem to have forgotten that you lead to serve. You need to remember this. You and your candidate believe that you can PANDER to LEAD; that you simply factionalize, lie to, and pander to the voters in order to “win” an election.
You are allowed to lead the party only as long as the voters want you to; only as long as we believe your leadership serves our interests, our values, our principles, and our priorities. You have failed in every capacity of leadership for which we elected and supported you. You have FAILED to keep our coalition party united. You have FAILED the democratic voters in Florida and Michigan and in caucus states where they were bullied and intimidated and disenfrachised. You have FAILED to protect and support an astoundingly competent and distinguished Democratic candidate. You have FAILED to honor the values and principles of TENS OF MILLIONS of Americans by NOT ONCE taking a stand against the sexist onslaught designed to ridicule every American woman and to undermine and handicap Senator Clinton’s candidacy.
Look around today Howard and Donna. Check out the so-called liberal media and so-called liberal blogs. Read what they are writing about us. Read how they characterize us with the ugliest, abusive, and most vile accusations and ridicule. Even today, bullying, thuggish Democrats are attacking other Democrats simply for standing up for their right to vote and to protest. This is the United States, Howard and Donna. POLITICAL DISSENT IS ONE OF OUR GREATEST AND MOST PROFOUND RIGHTS. Even today you will not stand up and support this, our most precious of rights.
Every day, even today, you CONTINUE TO FAIL.

Wow Murphy – you are great – this is wonderful and will make us better…………………………….
Very good choice of photo Murphy
Howard Dean is a joke!
Is it time to print “newspapers” (cheapest printing available) and hand them out in every city from sea to shining sea!?!?
I say, “Yes PUMAS!!”
My work has a booth down at the pride parade today so one of my coworkers took a pile of flyers from me to hand out, she’ll do us well. Thee are so many americans there from the border states.
Photo is even more appropriate since *61 likes to compare himself to Abe (as if)…………..can we send a copy of motto to howie & the group??????

Great idea, I have a newspaper template, if anyone needs one, it’s a one pager. If people had suggestions I could even create the newspaper if there isn’t already one created
To the person who asked earlier about Obama being investigated, I’m not sure if it was answered but from what I’ve read, there was a politician involved with the Rezko affair who will be investigated. I beleive at this point it is rumoured to be Obama, only rumoured.
They sure are and they sure will; posted a comment calling you a Republican. Posted a comment on the HOUND. Staid website, sure to fail in their intended purpose.
You go PUMA girl. Don’t let the negative ones get you down.
Thank you Murphy
I have it on good authority that the face on this statue is being replaced by Obama’s. He commented at Mt. Rushmore that his ears might not fit on the rock. Actually his ears fit fine . . . it’s his ego that doesn’t.
http://ladyboomernyc.wordpress.com/2008/06/29/test-test-roar-puma-has-radio/
We have radio!!!
I’ve been out for the last couple days… I heard that 140+ PUMAs showed up in Unity, NH. Is this true?
Did folks hand out flyers and other stuff? Did we sign up folks from the field?
Any details would make me h…. h… . happy!!!
OMG MURPHY!!! Brought chills and tears to my eyes…
You GO!!! One of the top five I’ve read all year!
Thank You! Thank You!
Make it the back of a new flyer…
“LETTER FROM OUR PUMA LEADER…
on behalf of the forgotten, disinfranchised, and won’t fall in line”
What happened? I could not get in for a few minutes. Did the server crash?
I keep getting a server error when I refresh, are others getting this error?
Excellent Murphy! I hope new readers to the sites will be encouraged to sign up and post comments.
here’s a funny observation….
so i was buying toothpaste last night, & i noticed the Blue and White glowy gradations on the packaging of Crest Whitening toothpaste looks an awful lot like the nauseatingly overdesigned overglowy abuse of color gradations on the Mind Control central oBlahBlah site…. i just made me laugh! ahhhh, marketing…
I couldnt get in either, it said the server was down, capacity was high
I asked this on the last thread
I thought Obama was being investigated, am I wrong?
TREEPUMA
I posted this downstairs, but I think it is worth moving up here.
I am going to weigh in on the decision of how to vote in November.
WE MUST remember why we are here to begin with. We want every vote to count, we want it to count for the person it was cast for, and we don’t want to be told we have to vote for BO.
If we don’t want to be told who to vote for, then we are defeating our very purpose, by telling people they must vote for McCain.
I personally feel that voting for McCain is the best way to make sure BO is not the next President, but I will not attack someone who thinks differently.
My big thing is that I hope everyone will vote for someone. I can not understand sitting home and letting someone else decide my future. I will always vote for someone.
One other thing I want to say;
Every time we see a newspaper article where we are being accused of doing something like vandalizing cars, we all need to write a “Letter to the Editor” of that paper explaining why that is a ridiculous assumption.
Trish #8
Thank you, I wasnt sure if he was or not
TREEPUMA
Wow! I see everyone else went down with me? Server overload?
#11 IndyPUMA… I was answering when we went down.
I think riverdaughter has a topic on what happened in “unity” with a brief video, pics and a brief report.
Murhy, do we have any people from here that reported or sent in pics?
hmm, okay where was I, oh yeah!
Bravo! Right On! If this were church, and you could get me inside it (not easy) this is when I would stand up and shout Hallelujah! Great Job Murphy, keep at ‘em, its having an enormous impact. Next Friday I give more to my PUMA PAC!!!
Have to brag alittle.. I actually posted my very first blog! It was regarding Why Dean and Obama Fear 4 Million that was listed above…
It is not elegant by any means, but it did say that this Country was found with Freedom in mind…and no one will be in that voting booth except you….
Don’t be a sheep… be a PUMA!….
Hey.. I tried!… LOL
Uh oh!
Machinists Just Say “Present” to Obama
At the AFL-CIO meeting this week that endorsed Barack Obama, one union president, Thomas Buffenbarger of the Machinists, voted “present.” In a letter to his members, Buffenbarger explained:
Now is not the right time for the IAM to endorse Senator Barack Obama… Our members feel the economy squeezing their family finances for every last dime, every single week … But those meat and potato issues have not found a place in the message frame developed by Senator Obama’s campaign. To us, hope and change are not antidotes to the economic pressures blue-collar families face… In the Machinists Union, a predominately blue-collar union, the impression continues to grow that Senator Barack Obama could care less about folks like us. At the plant closings in Galesburg [where a Maytag plant moved its operations to Mexico] and Herrin, in llinois and during our fight to save pensions at United Airlines, he never lifted a finger to help our members… In phone calls to IAM members, Senator Obama never broke 18 percent in any state. He came in third, often a distant third, behind Senators Hillary Clinton and John McCain. And our union made over a quarter million calls to its members.

Repost from below
http://politicallydrunk.blogspot.com/2008/06/why-obama-dean-fear-4-million.html
“What Keeps Obama & Dean Awake At Night?
The fear that the PUMA community and their silent supporters will realize the power of their fundraising. If just half of those 4 million who do not support Obama were to immediately give $10 to . . . PumaPac, the influx of cash would spread the Puma message like a wildfire through the media . . . If just half of this 4 million were to contribute the media would be forced to question a campaign that they have more often referred to as a “movement”, than as the “political campaign” it is.”
Pumas are:
“The PUMA Community represents the most ardent, values driven and politically educated of Hillary Clinton’s supporters. They do not fall for the traditional talking points of the political parties that are meant to drive a wedge between the electorate. “
won’t back down smileys and frowns are easy leave a space or two after comment then hit : and parenthesis above 9 for frown above ) for smile no space between

MURPHY,
You just blew me away… again!
Perfect statement.
From my heart to yours…
THANK YOU!
Murphy: Great introduction to this new thread!
Howard and Co. so seriously mis-read the democrats by grossly underestimating the number and loyalty of Hillary supporters that every democrat should be calling for his resignation. Whether you supported Hillary or not, HE should have been in tune with ALL democrats (which I would think would be a top requirement for his job).
I don’t know if I find his ignorance more frightening or sickening.
#7 Trish – great newspaper flyer – would you send me one? I will get duplicated & put wherever it’s legal – I don’t want to reinvent the wheel – you have great stuff………………
When you consider the date of the Democratic convention, and the way women are being ridiculed by the Nobama campaign… I cannot help but ask you to look at this post. It’s really very good information.

#29 Susie1945
ok I’ll add info to the template I have then send it to the powers that be for approval and they can uplod it in the action section
Wow Murphy, That is great. I had to read it 3 times. Love the picture. sc
trish I think we definitely need PUMA goals stated on them. Most people see us as just a no vote for bo. we need to get them past that and see the flaws in the party we are trying to fix
Thanks Trish – I’ll watch for it………………
I have an interesting observation: (well, it’s interesting to my small mind)
I recently saw a documentary and have a book on the subject about our earliest ancestry… we all descended from African regions.
I have been outspoken about the damages of slavery, but the Irish immigrants were brought here to clear the swamps of the south and treated worse than many of the slaves.
400,000 died from starvation, snake bite, allegators, malaria, etc. and were drowned in the swamps when they were too weak to work anymore.
We all came through the birth canal first, migrated from African regions second! Since when did making history with race have to be the first history of the two when it comes to the highest office.
Maybe, they just couldn’t get past that Commander-in-”Chief” (Chief-tess, Madamm President, a Suit without a tie)…
nobody seems to like my serious ideas so i’ll go back to political cartoon Hillary running in sweatsuit to denver and bo passes her on donkey named dean and says ” sorry, I’d give you a ride but there’s only room for one up here”
#18 REDRAZ9 “I personally feel that voting for McCain is the best way to make sure BO is not the next President, but I will not attack someone who thinks differently.”
I slipped into focussing my attention on Nov 4, but I have pulled myself back from there. Now I’m back to focussing on August, the Denver convention, and connecting people with pumapac. I’m doing whatever I can to maintain pressure on the powers that be in the hope (ugh, I hate that word now) they rethink the vile corrupted decision that resulted in the current selectee, and change (the other word I now hate) their position.
I’ll deal with Nov 4 after the convention.
First things first.
won’t back down
#33 Taffy
good idea, I’ll add the goals
i would like to add to Murphy’s straight forward and direct address to the unDemocratic “leaders” who might be perusing this site and others to get a sense of why we are dissenting… I for one was not only genuinely appalled at the blatant sexism and race-baiting abound in throughout the primary season, but the endless dismissive and degrading remarks regarding the age of some Hillary was out and out DIGUSTING! maybe it’s my native blood, but to disregard the wisdom and life experiences of our elders is just about as low and shamless as a person can get. God forbid any of those so gleefully devalued the vote of our seniors shall see the day when their years on this earth will render them a ticket to irrelevance and invisibility… all of the hateful dialog perpetuated by Obama supporters: the sexism, the anti-american comments by those personally close to the candidate himself, the twisted and self-serving logic behind the false accusations of racism, the despicable ageism and the well-reported cases of threat and intimidation to High Profile People (not just voters) was as far I know, NOT PUBLICLY CONDEMNED BY PARTY LEADERS! when did you guys trade in your morals for power?
#30, I named my daughter Seneca for that great meeting in seneca falls, she is 21 and brilliant, and one of the best Hillary supporters out there. She is in college and does not understand all the fluff over Obama, we will never vote for him nor will any of the women in my family, 42 of us in all. I read these posts evryday, i don’t chime in often but I am always here. Murphy and everyone here do a tremendous job, I am proud to be a member of this great PUMA PARTY!
Gee Trish…now you like my serious idea and not my cartoon? murphy needs to put the margaritas back up. I think I need one
#42 Taffy
lol I liked them both
The picture is a great choice Murphy. I mentioned before that BHO in his speechifying always contracts “want to” to “wanna”. Even though the statue is forever, I feel that today Lincoln is giving the “thumbs down” to the wanna-be-president. Apparently Lincoln could do finger gesturing better than the knobby pointer Wanna. Quite frankly, Wanna is a fine nickname for BHO.
Know I got my brother and one sister in law switched. The fireworks were really flying with my other sis in law. She’s still bo but her son is voting for first time and he spoke up and said he cannot support bo. wonder if I’ll get a Christmas present this year?
#38 Taffy
I’m practicing on you…
;D
Lotts1948 – I just sent that url to 15 of my girlfriends & in the subject said – Read This Women & Decide – Under the Bus or Drivin’ It?………………………boy talk about perspective……………….puts it right out there doesn’t it – saw myself………………….
It would be nice hearing Wanna say his nickname every time he says wanna, which he does sooooo often.
woops… I missed somethin, there LOL!
#45 Taffy
Tell her to think like Bo and “get over it”
Actually many of his sentences begin with, “I wanna…”
He would be repeating his nick name all the time. I wonder if we can get him to stop. Hmmmmm?
that’s the tongue : P
I understand the reasoning behind the envelopes with a small PUMApac logo in teh return address area, but,
I prefer snail mailing without any clues as to the organization from which the mail originates. My strongest preference is that they at least open the envelope. I’m not sure they would do this if they know in advance that it is from a PUMA.
Murphy I applaud you for what you wrote, very well put.
Taffy, thanks for the smiley’s, you told me how to do it before but I confused it with smileycentral, your way is so much simpler. Sorry wontbackdown!
Wow i even get smiley face education on here, that’s great.
:
;
I Taffy. I antifish. I anonymous. I LilyMaid. I Wanna.
Sorry to all named, you are way out of Wanna’s league.
No way would any of us want to be in Wanna’s league.
I woundered too…but I do think stating our goals on PUMA letterhead would be a good idea. I don’t think most of them know what we stand for. They just think we’re no bo
my smiley comment practice :
my smiley comment practice
I like the “wanna” nickname. perfectly apt, funny, and not rude. well, maybe a little rude.
#23 antifish
Buffenbarger really speaks to the underlying and most basic of issues, and how they are not being addressed by the Chosen One of the DEMOCRATIC PARTY (selected not elected). He could be another ally I think!
my smiley comment practice (frown) : )
My frown ain’t frowning!
my smiley comment practice (frown)
YEAH, I’m frowning!
oof, I copied and pasted #23 Antifish, but now its actually #24 Antifish! go figure
Make him self conscious when he says, “I wanna”. I little flea with the grand name PUMA. Ahhhh. Of maybe a gadfly buzzing.
Fantastic Statement!
Thank you Murphy, and I curtsy before you.
my smiley comment practice (wink) ;(
don’t forget W.O.R.M.
“What Obama Really Meant”
my smiley comment practice (wink)
#44, LilyMaid
Don’t forget the “tah” for to and the “ens” for ings.
Makes me crazy..so much for the years of primo education.
The nuns who taught me for eight years would be clacking their tongues and getting out the rulers!
Hi PUMAs
I wasn’t downstairs, so if somebody could please let me know what you guys talked about that would be great.
I am sorry for nagging you so much, but I need you to PLEASE SIGN UP TO HOLD STATE MEETING AND ATTEND ONE OF THE REMAINING MEETINGS AT: http://www.18millionvoices.blogspot.com
Thank you for doing that.
I also just saw this article. If somebody already posted a link to it downstairs, I apologize for re-posting it here. http://www.suntimes.com/news/marin/1029880,CST-EDT-carol29.article
This article talks about mistakes which HBO made and how John McCain will take advantage of it to win in November. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.
PUMAs, Murphy….you’re AWESOME!
i’m headin over to the McCain site (not the most user friendly blog, but welcoming bunch of peeps) to inform them of the Politically Drunk write up. Perhaps we can garner financial support from moderate conservatives. Power to the People!
WOOOOO, I’m Winking!
my smiley comment practice (big smile)
Just a note – radio is on & Jimmy Buffet was singing about margaritaville – oh boy Friday nite – anyway, read in the paper this morning that “he’s an Obama boy” – gotta straighten that man up – I thought he was a smart guy ……………I’ve read his books – he must be makin his margaritas with kool aid…………….. ;(
OK Taffy, I’m practicing too
Afternoon PUMAs! I noticed someone suggest a PUMApac Convention in yesterday’s thread. This sounds like a great idea (Tho it would be admittedly difficult to do…) I’m not sure anyone saw the suggestion though. Anyone else like this idea? (I will give credit to who made the suggestion if I can find it again. =P Lots of posts to sift through. But for the record, I didn’t come up with the idea. =P Don’t want to appear to be stealing someone else’s idea like a certain presidential candidate we all know and hate). Oh and also. My mom and I were talking last night. Is it true that during his run as President he also used the slogan “The Candidate of Change”? Does Barack Obama have ANY original bones in his body?!
Hey everyone..
I was thinking of printing tote bags – the ones you re-use for shopping.. and print back and front all some select websites and blogs… All with my own funds and I know how to do it and get them here etc… I have a business that does this type of thing. I will ship it to myself and send them by the box load to any PUMA that wants to hand them out FREE – to get the name out…
My husband says that people may not read a tote bag,,, T-shirts better.. but it is expensive to give out free T-shirts…and all the sizes is very complicated.
I want to invest max. $10,000 of my own money to give it a bang where it counts – getting the word out there – keeping Hillarys name out there, our Puma name out there and getting new people to come on board and just get enlightened…
Please post… my name is not Fred..but this great country has given me a lot…and I would not be able to do and be anything if not for my adopted America. My husband understands this… we don’t have money to throw around.. but I believe this is one time when I truly believe in my heart that we have to right a wrong and whatever the outcome, I cannot say we didn’t try and truth be told, during the primaries, I just thought Hillary would win and didn’t do anything besides sit by the TV until the wee hours biting my nails… I learned my lesson.
Hi Pumas and Murphy did you ever get to read all that i sent you??
Hi, guys! Check this out if you haven’t seen it http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/stop-puma. It is a form to be signed with the purpose to Stop PUMAS! We are REALLY scaring them, aren’t we!
Amarissa, http://womenstate.blogspot.com/
Yep, Pouncing Puma. Annoying. I picked “wanna” because he always preceeds wanna with “I”. I Man. I Woman. I Hungry. I Wanna.
Yea, they all worked. My grandkids will love that I can do this. Thanks.
Thanks! #55 Taffy
Murphy… sorry for the practice and looking so PUMA silly, but I thought it important to learn this smiley face thing before I turn 50 and then have to vote again the next month!
I will be needing a little facila levity, then.
Correction to previous post: I reread what I said and I believe “hate” to be too strong of a word. I don’t want to misrepresent PUMA after all so consider this a change of the word hate to dislike. Thank you!
Hot here again today 108 and i wanna it to be 85
#88 BigCatLover… welcome to the smiley face graduation PUMApac Class!
I, LilyMaid, go write My Governer, I Rendell, that I, LilyMaid, no wanna have Wanna as President, Wanna.
#82 BigCatLover… wow! you should be graduation facia-cum-laude!
hey we could send Rendell a football game cartoon of the PUMAS playing against the HOUNDS 10 hounds and millions of PUMAS
#93 LilyMaid… LOL!
#95 sandipuma… great Idea… now that would be a real “UNITY EVENT”
wontbackdown
Thanks for the pat on the back.
OK all c ya later GROWWWLLLL PRRRR
Oh, before I write to the former Hillary supporter, Wanna pauses and repeats so often…can’t get the sound of of my head……….”I wanna…pause (he pauses for the eloquence effect)…I wanna.”
I think so to we could call one Hound OB and one ED and one Howie and one Donna and one Nancy and one Harry and one Chris (for matthews)them 4 more and the rest we will be growling PUMAS i think that would show those HOUNDS we are not kidding
Awesome Declaration!
Football what better for a cartoon. Can anyone here draw that??
I can’t find how that article above estimates 4 million PUMAs?
Does anyone know how many we are or if there’s links and such to back it up?
Murphy great post today!
I just made my first donation to THE DENVER GROUP.
I keep thinking we need to do everything possible to get Hillary on that first roll call vote in Denver. That’s why I contributed to the Denver Group.
Ahead of Denver we can apply our relentless PUMA pressure to every delegate who would be happy or agreeable to having Clinton as the nominee; and get them to commit to vote the people’s choice from their states.
Everyone visualize a first roll call where all delegates openly supporting Clinton (and those who secretly want to support her knowing she’s most electable), honor her, the first American woman with a clear shot at the White House, with their vote on this first roll call vote. Then she cleans up with a clear majority! End of voting!
Oops, a roll call that started as a begrudging, but well deserved sign of respect, becomes a clear Victory and HUGE upset! Can you see it? WE can still try to make this happen!
While keeping up our great PUMA actions showing that millions of us refuse to get in line, we need to start focusing our efforts on Denver. Those wanting to vote, campaign or contribute for McCain can do so if that becomes necessary after the convention. But this is not the time to talk about who we’ll vote for if Hillary is not the nominee. We can’t get distracted by the media, who relentlessly tries to make us all give up on Hillary by declaring we’ll vote for McCain or sit it out. We don’t need to choose either of those alternatives yet! There still is no official nominee!
18 MILLION of us have already chosen Hillary and we’re sticking by it through the convention!
We must insure the voices all ALL Americans are heard in Denver!
Brilliant Murphy, just what we need to be said, and you put it so well!
#24 antifish. From the Machinist union response, my opinions are that, seems as though:
*61 supporters are concerned about how America is being perceived around the world, so they want change of total image. First AA president, tired of old things.
Senator Clinton’s supporters are concerned about their jobs, homes and overall livelyhoods.
= From these 2 concerns, Dean, Donna, Pelosi finds image more important than peoples’ livelyhoods.
Well think about it i thought it was a good idea. Thanks won’tbackdown
Re: Ed Rendell
If I know my governor, he is purposely stoking us and playing bothe ends against the middle. He wants to leave his options open under a possible BO administration, but secretly hopes he will be VP under Hillary in 2012. Out for himself and to hell with us.
#84 Fre and #95 sandipuma
I love your ideas. WOW! You guys are amazing. That’s why I love being part of PUMA.
Ok bye for now
#84 Fred
I think it is a terrific idea. My daughter (shopping queen) and I use that type of bag wherever we shop.
It has the logo and color of a local grocery store but we use them everywhere. I even use mine as a tote when I attend my grandaughter’s softball games.
AS you know, that type of bag is the up and coming thing. So many stores now have their own.
Tell your husband that people do see them and comment.
May I suggest that Murphy have some input as to color,
logo and other info?
There is still the discussion about color of the bracelets.
Can we get a decision soon and then coordinate?
Fred, thanks again and don’t you just love America!
How many PUMAs?
Hey, guys, #84 is offering something important and very generous on his(her) part! Please read it and comment! I personally, think an ad might be more effective. Please post your thoughts on his(her) comment!
Hey i had another cartoon for the week before the convention…picture this…..Cartoon: The Obama family at the gate of The WhiteHouse…a big SOLD sign. name on the WhiteHouse is The PumasWhiteHouse. The Obamas are holding on to the railings og the gate eyes big as saucers and Yelling but it was supposed to be ours. Pumas running around all over the place.
#78 Anonymous and others. I have noticed that the women I have seen speak on msm from Senator McCain’s camp are really well-spoken, sharp and have really know their stuff. I hope he continues to put this caliber of people out there.
diva2
Similar jokes were thrown around about Hillary and when Fathe Fleger mentioned something similar i just thought this was better
I think it would be great to make PUPA hats with ears. A soft fuzzy fabric would be good. We could wear them where t shirts arent right.
Imagine looking across a crowd of strangers and seeing all these Puma ears!
“Wanna” is short for “Wannabe.”
Nobama is a wannabe President. But since he falls short of everyone’s expectations, Wanna is an appropriate nickname.
After Nobama self-destructs and Hillary emerges from Denver as our nominee, we can shorten the nickname to “Was.”
#84 Fred
Amazing!! Excellent!
We could also insert PUMA literature in each bag.
To Fred…What a great idea. Mygosh, you are willing to help out that much? You and hubby sound like pretty incredible. I will put a few bucks toward it. Small amount like $25 or $50.
See what others say…
Would anyone be interested in writing for a blog but either just want to post now and again or for other reasons (don’t want to do all the “bloggie” stuff and just want to write posts now and then?
I would like a couple of other writers to join with me on. there. I am particularly interested in people who are fighting for the Denver convention and who know their stuff a bit about the process.
http://powerofpuma.blogspot.com
If so send Murphy a message and ask her to forward it to me, or contact me through the blog above. I would really love if one or two of you joined up with me on that blog.
Fred #84–
That is a GREAT idea, and a VERY generous offer. Please email me.

wow 84 Fred what a awesome thing to do and such a great idea
Fred, oh one other thing… not sure if a 527 org is considered nonprofit but you might be able to use it or part of it as a donation on your taxes.
#103 sandipuma
Can we have several players on HBO side: HBO, Dean, and Brazile, and on our side: PUMA, Hillary and Bill? What do you guys think and the ball will have a list of some websites
Murphy,
This is a wonderful and powerful introduction! I believe it needs to go to Denver!
You Rock!
Murphy:
:p ;p etc.?
Speaking of maintaining credibility, how about a page dedicated to “practice posting”
That is so kool. You and your husband 84Fred are commended for such a wonderful gesture
yes sounds good Anonymous
Murphy: Apologies. Please delete #128. I don’t have a valid excuse for it.
#116 diva2
I hope so too. The more articulate people John McCain has, the higher the chances that we will win.
Well PUMAs I need to go mow the yard (YAY 106 degree weather!) so I will be back later!
can you draw that??? Can anyone draw that??? My art work isn’t what it used to be.
#84 Fred, so very generous of you!
I firmly believe in Karma.
Hi
I make sure to post one comment on every CNN ticker item- just to reinforce the message that the democratic primary was very UN democratic:
biased, hateful, denigrating, demeaning, fixed etc.
We need to make sure that these tactics- employed so skillfully by Obama and his campaign- do not become the norm for future primaries. That is why we need to protest.
No democratic candidate should be trashed, bashed, lied about, labeled a racist, mocked, heckled, ridiculed, demeaned, denigrated and forced out of the race by ANOTHER DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE, with the help of the DNC and the Media- like HRC was in this primary.
It was disgusting to watch the hatred and vulgar insults and the sabotage. It made me ashamed to be a democrat- after 35 years of voting loyalty.
It is not THAT Hillary lost, but HOW she lost that disturbs me.
Not a fair playing field. Obama played dirty- and race baited, strong-armed and threatened his way into a “win”

Thank you. That just made me feel so good. Thank you.
it’s 108 here where are you?? 133 InuHanyou
Oh your very welcome. we PUMAS do things together thats why we are strong
#84 Thank you Fred! Hope you and Murphy can get together and work on this great idea or whatever else you decide to do! We are one UNITED FAMILY!
Love you all guys!
hi for fair play
I just sent my response to the petition to stop Puma.. to expose Puma.. what have you.. it reads like this….
“Why would you want to stop Puma? I really don’t understand this. I am a member of Puma myself and proud to be one. We have a voice and we are speaking. I thought you would speak out for the election that got stolen as well or I would not be on this web site at all!!! Okay… I guess you too are against free speech, against the constitution of the United States, against democracy. I challenge you to prove that I am a Republican.. never have been, never will be.. but I am a Puma and there are millions of Pumas who are just as much a member of the Democratic Party as I am.. and we will exercise our free right to speech and our free right to vote.. as we please!!!! Oh, since you are apparently drinking the “kool-aid”.. why don’t you just “get over it?”"
We all believe in fair play and thats why we are GROWWWWLLLINGG PUMAS.But we prrrrr to.
#136 for fair play
I wonder if he thinks he can do the same things to win the GE. Or were those reserved just for HRC. He’s already tried race baiting with the Republicans and it fell flat on its face. In fact everything he’s tried so far has fallen flat. Interested to see where he goes next.
CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS? just came out on ABC!
June 29, 2008 3:18 PM
ABC News’ David Chalian Reports: Clinton ally James Carville may have called him “Judas” when he endorsed Barack Obama over Hillary Clinton in March, but that isn’t stopping Gov. Bill Richardson D-NM., from offering to raise money to help Sen. Clinton retire her significant campaign debt. http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalradar/2008/06/richardson-to-h.html
Cynthia Ruccia from Women for fair politics managed to get on CNN for an interview and she was great.
How do we get Murphy to do the same? We really are the true democrats for standing up for the ideals of the party.
Who wants to belong to a party that trashes and disrespects their own candidate and her supporters? Who wants to encourage the dirty politics of division and hatred and insults just to advance your campaign.
Hillary ran a clean campaign. Obama was ugly, racist, hateful, negative and dirty. Yet the media continued to portray him as decent and respectful.
They must have missed it when he called her a warmonger, lied about her NAFTA position, mocked her with his Annie Oakley act, and brushed her off his shoulders. They must have missed it when he dismissed the Clinton years and played the race card against both Clintons.
#128 DancesWithPumas… sorry, if I embarrassed anyone.
Ok all i really do have to go for now and will be back in a bit.

We were asked to go to this link the other day and the subject was you pumas are worst then cougars I was like Huh? that was like saying nobama is worst than a black man or nobama is worst than a muslim or nobama is worst than a liar, nobama is worst then a racist nobama is worst then a thief. I was really confused as to what they meant any one have any ideas on this?

Thank you for accepting me. You know it took my cousins at least 6 years to explain the same thing to me. If we don’t stick together, then we are a lot less effective in getting things done.
#119 Firebelle,
Hi,
I am sorry that I didn’t get back to you right away.
Thank you for sending me an email.
Thanks Murphy.
There was an article posted way up on this thread that suggested 4 million.
I looked us up at Alexa and, indeed, it appears we’re doing fine.
Are the Puma PACers all on board with the July 4th $20.08 donation to Hill to make our point about the year the democratic party imploded with its own intra-party hate and bigotry?
Bill Clinton was right when he said NEVER has a candidate been SO disrespected JUST for running. AND, I believe that Obama was behind it, instigating his supporters to bigotry, sexism and hatred against not ONLY Hill- but all her supporters.
I don’t understand how anyone can encourage those tricks by voting for Obama. Yes, the alternative (McCain) isn’t great. But he is not as conservative as many Republicans and has demonstrated an ability to cross the aisle to get things done- just like Hillary.
#160, I am so jealous that I can’t do “Yellow” smiley faces….. :>(
#153 sandipuma… it was me and my smiley face practice on the blog. I over did it bc I was doing something wrong.
#158 BigCatLover… yours were ok.. you only did it once and got it, quick!
#160 anonymous… (LOL!)
for fair play #136 — absolutely perfectly put. That is exactly what Puma PAC is fighting for: that the voice of the voters be heard and heeded.
Sandipuma-
Thanks, I’ll try checking the box.
#84 Fred- That is incredible. Your passion runs deep.
Murphy – got your email. Thanks. I will start working on the project and send you a draft soon.
Also–very hard-hitting, spot-on commentary above this thread. I particulary like the part about, “You lead to serve”
Lead to SERVE
Lead to SERVE
Lead to SERVE
That commitment and purpose got lost so long ago when politicians got in bed with lobbyists and found ways to become millionaires as CEOs on critical boards across this country. The desire to serve and tend to the needs of their constituents got totally shelved.
Hillary often comments that she would get up every day thinking of how she could help us. I believe her. She even said once that if she didn’t win–she would be okay, because she had visited wounded soldiers from Iraq in the hospital and knew that she could survive if they could. That’s a president with a heart.
Wanna has already started making those connections and networks back in Illinois, and he’s got the richest woman in America in his pocket. She’s willing to go door to door for him–money is pouring toward him for this hallmark of fame.
That’s what we don’t sense from him–he doesn’t want to serve. You see it in the body language–the jaunty tilt of the chin. He wants the fame and glory, and there are so many sycophants who want to hold up his coattails and share that glory.
Great post, Murphy. Thanks
Murphy,
Re #84 Fred, please be careful.

We owe you a huge debt of gratitude for this forum …..where every voice is heard.
I pray editing the numerous troll posts is not damaging your beautiful soul.
#136 for fair play… So many people that know were big Clinton supporters but had heard so many retaliation stories against others’ property and vehicles, they were afraid to put out yard signs or bumper stickers on their cars supporting Hillary.

The Chicago Challenge
Barack Obama made one shrewd move this week, along with one risky one.
“Obama may pretend he is Obambi when it comes to corruption,” says Chicago Tribune columnist John Kass. “But the fact is that you can’t come from Chicago without having your involvement with its politics scrutinized.” At Mr. Obama’s invitation, here’s hoping enterprising reporters start digging.

“Who has the petition against Pumas? Is the Hound site or someone else?”
Not even worth bothering with… they have 20 or so signatures and 3/4s of them are by PUMAs yanking their leashes.
Great update info on the Unity event on riverdaughter and a very humorus post on “StopPumas Petition”
http://riverdaughter.wordpress.com/

#176 DancesWithPumas… You were absolutely correct… it was inappropriate… thank you for reminding me of needing to bring it up a notch on things like that… I respect you for it… just sorry you had to…

So is Judas (AKA) Richardson going to use his “30″ pieces of silver to help with her debt??????
#182 DancesWithPumas … oh, I thought your were asking about it, not responding to #142 lotts1948
I signed the petition for Dean to Resign and also stated “Not only should Dean be ran out of town, he should be ran out of our Great Country!!!!!!!!!!”
Hi all, Everyone seems to really be doing great (except for a few hair dryer incidents, etc. noted from a previous post).
There has been alot of discussion on preveious thread on how people want to vote — McCain, independent write-in. I agree that it is an individual choice. But what is so great because we are here to get and receive education. I think it is all about understanding what the outcomes can be with each choice and how to make that choice. As we know, a write-in vote may be given to the candidate for your party and not the person you wrote in DEPENDING on each state’s rules. One of my reasons for being here is learning — everyday, almost every blog.
Second, I posted this sometime ago but thought I would repost it.
You may or may not know that Senator Clinton and McCain have a very good working relationship. On Senator Clinton’s first day in the Senate, no one was paying much attention to her. Then Senator McCain came up to her, welcomed her and started introducing her to everyone. She apparently has never frogotten that. They have worked on alot of programs/committees together. One time when they were travelling (I want to say to Russia but could have been anywhere), Senator Clinton challenged Senator McCain to a shot challenge (I want to say whiskey, it wasn’t some lightweight liquor). McCain took her up on it and I think she won. In any case, after that he told everyone that she was okay and something like “one of the guys.” On the day she gave her concession speech McCain’s camp was running a tribute to Senator Clinton. I am sorry my infor is more specific, been about a month since I posted it, but you get the gist. I heard this on the radio from someone who writes a column in the L.A. Times. I think his column is “Top of the ticket.” The point is they really respect each other alot and HAVE worked together across the aisle.
One other point about McCain. His wife is the head of a multimillion dollar corporation adn very active in helping people who are in poorer countries. She is a smart, high level woman and so Senator McCain does have a working woman’s point of view. They are still Republicans and have certain things they believe in. But I do believe he is a moderate Republican and that’s why he gets so much flack from the right.
I am not selling McCain, I just wanted to offer some more info on him.

Hillary 08 or MaCain 08 or Hillary 012 . The best way to turndown you now who.
Pumapac forever!
Murphy,
Murphy,
Do you coordinate with voteboth and Clintondems and women for fair politics?
It is getting confusing out here with so many petitions to sign etc.
We need some eloquent people- such as yourself, and Cynthia Ruccia from women for fairr politics- to get TV coverage.
The Media is really overplaying the Unity theme- and willing to overlook all the nastiness on the part of the Obama campaign.
Where is Michelle Obama’s check to Hillary? Both Bill and Hill contributed to Obama.
Where is Michelle’s apology to Hillary for her comment that she would have to think about it- when asked if she would vote for Hillary, were Hillary the party nominee.
We are all now thinking about party unity for the sake of unity.
Someone needs to get that message out to the MSM.
We also all have to e-mail CNN, MSNBC.
I e-mail them with my negative opinion of their biased coverage- at least once or twice a week.
Some of those posting here, have great comments and need to send them to CNN and MSNBC. They were the most vitriolic in their anti-Hillary, Pro-Obama biased coverage.
Even now… asking where is Bill? When will Bill endorse Obama? As far as I am concerned Bill has done more than enough in supporting Obama.
Bill needs to stay gone and show behind the scenes support for his wife and how she was politically raped by Obama. And Bill needs to rebel/speak out/criticize against the way they were labeled racist by Obama. Bill needs to demand an apology from Michelle for all her anti-Hillary rantings.
Hey Pumas, I’ve read to post 84 so far, but I will catch up.
#23 Kat4Puma, I used to be afraid of blogging too, but now I love to express myself to my Puma family, none here judge you, we are all here to promote democracy. Your post was great!!! Don’t be afraid to post more!
# 84 Fred, If you are really willing to do that, I would love to pass some out in my red community!!! You Rock. I read the tote bags other people bring to the store, so why wouldn’t they read mine?

I do a lot of the artwork for PUMA Pac. If you need to chat, marylandpuma@gmail.com.
I signed the petition for Dean to resign and left a comment
I signed too and sent the petition to 5 friends just like they asked. Here’s my “personal message to make my signature more powerful” –
“Yeah! Who do they think they are?? Standing up to be the Voice of the Voters! I mean how UNDEMOCRATIC is that?? What ugly scheme will they dream up next? Before you know it they’ll be encouraging Americans to get out and VOTE or even demanding that their VOTES BE COUNTED! They are definitely a Republican front and are only in it for the big bucks!”
#185 murphy… one of the members mentioned learning smiley face keyboard function and I was having trouble with it… so I kept trying and it eneded up looking a little silly…
#182 DancesWithPumas… made mention and reminded me (not directly) of the fact that we are getting a lot of exposure right now and should be mindful of that in our posts.
I whole-heartedly agree with “Dances” and wanted you to delete my posts, practicing the smiley-face thing.
Not trying to make it a big deal… just think we are growing and need to be open to how others view certain things.
You make this site so easy to be comfortable on… sometimes the “play” make not be reflective of the seriousness of all the work going on here.
That’s all, Murphy. No ruffled feathers, just PUMAS helping PUMAS mature (and learn smiley face etiquette –
The petition was by care2.com; they have a petition up.. I got on their mailing list and I’m not sure even how. At any rate… I just sent them a comment for the heck of it.
Wow, I could stay on here all day and get so many new ideas on things to do; I’ve about finished my emails to friends and associates and groups.. I have lots of groups I belong too, book groups mostly, yeah, amazingly they can all read!!! LOL.. but… I have to go to work now. The good part is, I don’t have to actually move anywhere, since I work right here at home on this computer. I do medical transcription; used to work for 1 of the major hospitals in Amarillo, Texas, but now that they don’t have in-house transcriptionists, we all work for a BIG transcription company… it was a horrible deal to us at first, but now with the cost of gas, etc., being so high, I’m really glad to just get up and walk out to my little office I have set up in a cubby in my off-the-living room area… and the good part is, when I’m done working, I can just log back into here.. or if I’m really exhausted, which sometimes happens.. then I can just walk into the other room and go to bed.. so, lucky me.
I’ll be back, though, more than likely, after my shift which ends at midnight, CST.
Keep up the good work Pumas!!!!

Just wanted to say Murphy You Rock! That was awesome. Hope Howard and Donna get a glimpse of that. You should send that to their E-mail.
Murphy, I sent an email to you this afternoon – murphy(at)pumapac(dot)org. Did you receive it?
Learn today that Kerry is having a democratic challenger for the first time in 24 years.
Know anything about the challenger Ed O’Reilly?
As you state above, protesting and dissent are American. What a great way to protest and show dissent…and invoke real change by ridding the senate of John Kerry in the primary!!!
What a slap to Barack this would be.

I guess you saw the Hound registration game? Hope you don’t get fall-out from Rendell’s site.
Hello Pumas,
Do we have any PUMAs in the Orlando Fl area who can follow up with the authorities about the vandalism there? A post already popped up on Craigslist in NYC, blaming Clinton supporters.
I made the following post there:
Obama Hate Message Staged by Obama Supporters
The authorities in Orlando realize that most vandals do not leave their card. They will be thoroughly investigating Obama supporters, many who are younger people who have been indoctrinated into his program.
Find out more about Barack Obama http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNfRb87dtY4
I just checked out the Stop Puma petition. Really quite silly, very juvenile. I don’t think it’s worth taking seriously, except as evidence we are a threat to them and they want to stop us. Yeah, what else is new? They’ve been trying to stop us even before we even existed. It must be a bit frustrating for them that they can’t control EVERYTHING. But, hey, that’s life. Not everything can be engineered by Obama/DNC style magic.
#206 BigCatLover… it’s okay, we are all okay.
#206 BigCatLover… P.S. I still don’t know how you lined ‘em all up that fast? I was still hunting and pecking on which combination worked with which face and I even printed out the instructions… duhhhh!
Hi all,
This is a link showing Senator Clinton being sworn in as senator of New York. It is a picture I thought some of you may want to printout so you/we can visualize her taking the oath for President.

#210 BrooklynNY… I hate to say this out-loud but I would be more worried if their “movement” wasn’t trying to poop on our parade.
heres an interesting talking point for PUMA’s
http://hillaryloyalistnowformccain.com/electionfraud.aspx
quoted from the post…
“People in the media keep questioning why is this election so different from the others. Is it because we have had a woman and a black man run neck and neck in one party? The answer is no. It is because of election fraud. It was committed time and time again and nothing was done to resolve or even acknowledge the problem. In Texas white people were locked out of caucuses. In North Carolina gang members patrolled the voting precients to intimindate. In Indidana bribary of concert tickets and VIP seats were given by one camp. In Florida campaign ads ran on cable TV for one camp. There are more incidents if you do your research.”
#213 diva2… Thanks Diva2… I like the visioning approach as the spirit underlying the action!
A friend just sent me a photo of a sign someone put in front of his office. It says, “A taxpayer voting for Barack Obama is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.”
One more time. Who does the art work on our site?
Don’t forget the radio show
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/NO-WE-WONT
So, did anyone else see the CBS world news last night, where they mentioned the PUMA movement? I checked the blogs last night and again this morning and hadn’t heard anything. It wasn’t much on the news and there was no interview, but I think recognition on a major network news channel means they can definitely hear our ROAR!!!!!! Go PUMAs!
Pookie – see post 194
I just left this on the petition
The PUMA cub has grown into an enormous cat with huge teeth and sharp claws. To the creator of the petition, I offer this advice, which is good when facing a foe you can not defeat: Face the PUMA and sloooowly back away – we’re notorious for taking a swipe at your backside. I would not recommend running, especially if you’ve been drinking the spiked Kool-Aid. Much Love from MarylandPUMA.
It’s really disturbing the number of despots worldwide who can’t wait for an Obama presidency.

220 IndyPUMA I also have embedded the code on my blog for the radio show.
http://powerofpuma.blogspot.com
I wish we also had a forum or a chat room, it is hard to keep up or get involved in the discussion sometimes.
Amarissa I posted a comment on the ABC site under the name charlize
There was an article on yahoo news today about Kerry being challenged for the first time in years by Ed O’Reilly and a nice write-up regarding O’Reilly. I think this should be one of our main functions as PUMAs: to actively support, financially and otherwise, challengers to the Democratic traitors who sold us down the river. John Kerry is in the top ten in my book, along with Bill Richardson, Chris Dodd (CT – now implicated in Countrywide mortgage sweetheart deals, etc).
However, I am looking past “party” affiliation and judging future candidates based on their policies, integrity and commitment to democratic principles (small “d”). If some of them are labeled Republicans that no longer is a hindrance to me. Some moderate Republicans may in fact be more in line with my views than extreme conservative Democrats or, for that matter, extreme left-wing Democrats. The bottom line in my decisions is no longer “party.” I have learned in this primary that I can no longer expect the D party to be different than the Republican party of the past 2 decades. I want no part of either. I think it’s time to reevaluate our prior assumptions in terms of policy, position, etc. The world has changed dramatically in the last decade or so and I feel it’s really necessary to take nothing for granted. New creative solutions to our present state of affairs, domestically and internationally, and this can’t be done if we just continue with the present simply being an extension of the past Democratic mantra.
(anyone can do that by grabbing the embed code on the radio site)
I hope that the radio station will grow into something good.

A billboard or forum function would be great. That way topics can be split up.
#216 PumaAllie… I was at several Texas Caucus’ shuttling disabled/seniors to various locations… it was overwhelming, prolonged, chaotic and very tiresome/discouraging for them.
They were so excited about voting for Hillary (both man & woman) until the b…sht started. They didn’t understand? They had made the efforts to vote that day!
And then, the people in charge at one location had no procedure/instructions to the crowd of 250+, ran out of forms, and after 2 hours of waiting… told the rest waiting that recording their presence didn’t matter, anyway!
IndyPUMA , thanks for the reminder about the No We Won’t blog talk radio show coming on tonight at 8PM EST. Will Bowers will be interviewed for the show.

very generous of you. I am more than willing to help distribute PUMA info. I’m spending a good portion of my time now posting flyers and also placing them in mail boxes. Good thing I have a Prius – over 50 mpg for my longer forays.

What concerns me is what type of voter fraud is *61 planning for the GE? The DP is dismissing these caucus allegations.
Mayor0102 wrote two strong letters to the editors about *61′s decision to opt out of the GE financing. This is our chance to win over the media to our viewpoint.
#213 diva2
Thank you for the link. Hillary and Bill both look adorable on this picture. They will look even better when Hillary is sworn in as PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA–with liberty and justice for all
Liberty–to say anything we want without having someone start a petition to silence us. And vote for the candidate who we want to be President instead of a candidate who is selected by our party elders for us.
Justice–having a candidate chosen fairly-BY THE PEOPLE!!!
P.S. I also need help with figuring out smiley faces because I only know happy, sad, and “wink”.
#233 InuHanyou1701
Please don’t take chances with heat stroke. It can be deadly. Drink lots of water, and if you’re truly not feeling good, don’t hesitate to call 911. Better safe than sorry.
P.S. The Obama volunteers were in complete control! Once I found out, it was too late to go back and put those two through anymore – democratic voters for 60 years!
I am sure this is just old news. The sad part is, one said:
“This was probably the last Presidential
Election I’ll ever be a part of and they didn’t seem to think my vote was worth anything.”
He passed away 2 months later, unexpectedly – and I hate the fact that he was right on both points!
Murphy,

Actually Clinton inacurate. Hillary is not the only candidate to be abused by the media just for running. How about Nader? He is blamed for “costing Gore the 2000 election”. Actually if Gore had just won his home state of TN he would have been the President ( either that or had the vote count in FL been honest ). Obama
pulled something similar when he referred to Nader as being a publicity monger. Most people don’t seem to understand that Nader’s cannidacy is not about winning
but about raising issues. Nader was the first person to speak out when Obamobots were presuring Hillary to drop out. He had an essay on his website supporting her right to run and using the phrase; “It’s Democracy,
get used to it”.

This is definately an issue that deserves to get a wider audience.
The media just seem to ignore it, and yet as the linked article puts it, we protest the anti democratic election of the Zimbabwe President. This voter harrassment at caucuses seems to be widespread, and yet there is no investigation? wtf?
Add it to the rules committee disenfranchisement of 2 states and the DNC ignoring the fact that Iowa and New Hampshire had also moved up, without being punished, you have to begin to look a little more closely at what actually happened?

Yes, isn’t it hypocritical for our President to call the elections in Zimbabwe a “sham” and to suggest sanctions against that country? We might not have had the level of violence seen in Zimbabwe, but the corruption and manipulation was similar in so many other ways.
that last “you” should have meant “they” ie the media, investigative journalists, etc…
or we as PUMA’s need to document it more clearly maybe? I am just wondering if it does need to be more closely examined, investigated and articulated, ie is it actually fraud? and if so why can they get away with it?
#246 PumaAllie… excellent comment!

Regarding supporting Reilly against Kerry. While I’m distributing my PUMA information I keep thinking how great it would be if we in MA could actually manage to
contribute to Kerry’s defeat . . . it would also be a “slap in the face” to Kennedy. There have been some great jokes going around on the Cape about how sex crimes are down now that Kennedy is incapacitated.

Thank you for the concern! I think I’m alright. I’m kind of melted with the comfy chair in my room right now though. =P I don’t think I’ll be moving from this spot for a while. Came in and drank about 10 glasses of water. But again thank you for the concern!

Murphy, I sent you an e-mail if you would be so kind to take a look at it

Good. I’m glad to hear it.
I guess you’re just one hot Puma.
well I posted twice on the ABC blog. the only reason I did post the second time was I checked out my first blog and I really hit a nerve with the Nobama’s so I had to add one more I told them I refused to dignify the Nobam rats with my answers. My bad?
249 Firebelle Puma, yes exactly. The only thing that is different is the scale of it, but the end result is the same, disenfranchisement of voters from the process and a rigged election.
#252 mpdamon
I would really like to see Kerry defeated as well. Kennedy blew my mind by being involved in pushing Obama. I was so shocked, disappointed and disgusted. His involvement is this despicable fiasco is the antithesis to everything he once stood for. If you can’t trust this Kennedy to protect civil rights and the democratic process, then in my mind the Democratic Party has lost its heart and soul. It is dead.
You will love this if you remember Red Skelton.

Maybe we should begin a campaign for “equal treatment.” Any sanctions the U.S. applies to Zimbabwe should also be applied to Obama and the DNC and its representatives.

Well if they close down many more blogs it will just be counter productive.
Everyone will go to wordpress and talk about how blogger.com is restricting freedom of speech.
Since it seems that writing in a candidate may not be possible in all 50 states, perhaps we need to find out how to get a candidate on the ballot. I beleive it probably takes a petition campaign. I know we signed petitions for Hillary to be on the primary ballot.
Is it possible to draft a candidate?

Perhaps. I just don’t know enough about politics to see the big picture and to write intelligently enough about the topic.
However, before the May 31 DNC rules committee meeting, I wrote numerous emails to the DNC and committee members, repeatedly saying how wrong it was to disenfranchise voters in America when (1) we have men and women dying in Iraq and elsewhere to ensure people around the globe have the right to vote and (2) the U.S. goes sticking its nose into other countries’ elections.
Alas, my words had no impact. But it’s certainly not because I was wrong in what I said. The problem was at the receiving end.

Since the DNC is not able to win elections fairly they want to destroy democracy in the United States and usher in the same political chaos that occurs in many African, South American and Asian countries. That way they can stay in power forever. To accomplish that goal they send out their thugs to harass and intimidate with vile threats and hate. Then they accuse those who oppose them of being racist and vile. Those are the tactics of people that hate. Their hate is so enormous that they have no room for self-reflection or civil discourse.
I had dinner with a couple from a foreign country where a despot does rules and people have either given up and/or live in fear. They said what they admired most about America was that the citizens were fighting to keep democracy alive – they still cared. I also talked with another friend who use to support Obama and is a long term Democrat.
She changed her mind about Obama after she realized he has no policies or plans and realized that the DNC had become a party of destruction and was anti-democracy.
We need to stay focused on achieving the objective of making sure our democracy survives.
I’m curious if anyone feels the same way as I do but as I watched the different things that the DNC allowed and the tactics BHO is using now (Example: The scare tactics of using Roe v. Wade to scare women voters into voting for him), I have concluded that this year EVERYTHING has been turned upside-down! The Democrats seem to be the new Republicans (As they are adopting traditionally “Republican” tactics) adn the Republicans are almost acting like the Democrats (Example: They keep shooting themselves in the foot!). Anyone agree?

Press Think Obama’s Flip-flops Make Him a Great Politician
***
For the second week in a row, CNN’s Howard Kurtz, while hosting Sunday’s “Reliable Sources,” seemed absolutely befuddled by the media’s lack of interest in reporting presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama’s campaign flip-flops.
Last week, it was the junior senator’s change of heart concerning public campaign finances. This Sunday, it was Obama’s curious reversal on handguns.

I just sent this off to Chris Wallace of FoxNews. His email address is, fns@foxnews.com
***************
Dear Mr Wallace,
I have to disagree with some of your guests tonight like Ed Rendell; and in this regard. Those of us who will not vote for Mr Obama are not all women; we come from all types of demographics and spread thought the United States; and no matter what the Party says, or what platforms or policies they try to promote, such as rehashing the Roe vs Wade fear strategy, those of us who are diehard Hillary supporters will not comply with party pressure. We may have been the silent majority, but after what Howard Dean and the DNC pulled both at the beginning of the primary season and at the end, we will not, cannot vote for a man, to whom we consider a) an illegitimate nominee; and b) and a man who is unfit to be our commander and chief. Hillary won the popular vote and she also had the Electorial Map to win in the fall; and this primary was an unjust, unfair selection process rather than an election process.
Please see the following article,
http://politicallydrunk.blogspot.com/2008/06/why-obama-dean-fear-4-million.html
It is a well written article and represents the thoughts and feelings of many of us who are now forming one “unified” voice against Obama through a group called PUMA PAC and JUST SAY NO DEAL.

MURPHY – Check your email – NOW
Hi, Pumas! I’ve been gone for a while and trying to catch up, especially with what I want to get accomplished today regarding our movement.
I have pent-up emtions stewing from not being in touch today. This is a long rant.
Antifish, thank you for your kind words yesterday. You are just one of the many in the coalition who give me the drive to get hopping.
I’ve always been active in social services — volunteering and donating money, but not politically active — but always reading and following politicians and politics and decisions made — until now. Boy, what in the heck was I thinking!
I was so distraught over what happened this primary season I was obssessed with my own turmoil over Nobama possibly becoming Pres, and then, perchance, I heard an interview with JustSayNoDeal as I flipped through tv channels and, low and hehold, found you all and the different coalition groups and members and blogs. I was saved!
This has been a godsend. Thank you, Murphy. By the way, love the photo and motto. Nobama is no President Lincoln even though he tries so hard to get us all to think he is. Mmmh … Personal ambition versus willingness to sacrifice. … Don’t get me started!
When I’m not working, or checking out coalition sites, or posting notes here or there, I’m learning, one step at a time, to be a nusiance to some elected official somewhere, somehow. I’m happy to report, I tend toward being a “quick study.”
Here’s a copy of the letter I sent to Rep. Kucinich (D-OH) who has not yet endorsed Nobama. I’ve other Reps to hit on this point. Maybe someone in the party will be able to withstand Nobama’s and Axelrod’s (Chicago politics — it’s dirty — winners take all) and Dean’s awful display of undemocratic behavior.
June 28, 2008
Dear Congressman Kucinich,
I am writing you today in response to an article I read by Joey Michalakes posted on TheHill.com where it was written you had not yet endorsed Barack Obama. I urge you not to endorse Barack Obama for President of the United States of America. I know it is much to ask of one Congressman, who is likely being pressured to “fall in line” (because I and several other million Democrats know this tactic well), but you do look out for the “little guy,” and we are counting on you – an elected representative – to bring reason and transparency to this campaign on behalf of voters.
When you and Mr. Obama have your talk, I ask that you urge him to:
1) Commit to an open and transparent Convention in Denver, and
2) Commit to participating in Town Hall meetings with Senator John McCain prior to the Democratic convention up through the November election.
Were he to commit to an open and transparent Denver convention, perhaps it would signal a change (ah, what a word) in the right direction for his campaign. Perhaps he could follow up that move with transparency on where his fundraising dollars are coming from, transparency in his policies, etc. If he commited to participating in Town Hall meetings now up to November, talk on his flip flopping (ah … change – there’s that word again) at least on this issue would cease and perhaps we would know his stance any number of other issues on which he flip flops — er, changes his mind. Not participating in these meetings now through November only furthers to deepen his growing reputation as a dishonest politician.
It seems that you, as well as I and millions of other once lifelong Democrats, are wondering what the party stands for nowadays because it certainly does not seem to be standing for anything other than personal ambition and power.
I believe Barack Obama needs to be held accountable to all voters, not just who he and the Democratic National Party choose to be accountable to. And, I believe as each day passes, we have fewer and fewer elected Democratic representatives who allow themselves to question Mr Obama and Dr. Dean, who coincidently, do not like being questioned, nor being open and transparent. For these reasons and so many more, I cannot vote for Mr. Obama this November for President of the United States of America. But along the way to that November election day, voters deserve better treatment than what Mr. Obama and Dr. Dean are dishing out.
Thank you for your consideration of my request.
Sincerely,
xxxxxxxx

Yet Another Obama Flip-Flop Flagged, This Time on Iraq
At The Corner over at National Review Online (HT Instapundit via Weapons of Mass Discussion), Pete Hegseth calls it a “zigzag.”
Given how fundamental Barack Obama’s former position was to his credibility as a candidate during the Democratic primaries, I’d say it’s yet another a full-fledged, full-throated flip-flop, accompanied by a fundamentally flawed reading of the Bush Administration’s current policy — both of which we can be confident Old Media will try to ignore.
Hegseth explains (link to transcript added by me; other links are in original; bolds are mine):
Recent reports and rumors have indicated that Senator Obama plans to aggressively move to the middle on Iraq in the coming months. This is a good political move for Obama, if only because he’s finally starting to recognize reality. However, it’s no surprise that he will continue to try and have it both ways: moderating his withdrawal language without giving any credit to surge/Petraeus advocates.

Murphy…
Again, we are too many groups- all with similar message. We need to unite under one “name” and get behind all those great public speakers going on TV to spread the message.
I, too, campaigned for Shirley Chisholm so long ago in my first election (age 18). And today, sexism still is worse than racism as she pointed out so long ago.
We need to stop the hijacking of the democratic party. We need to stop celebrity bandwagons and media from selecting our nominees.
WE NEED TO UNITE UNDER ONE BANNER.

Newspapers Skip Over Obama’s Gun Flip-Flop
By Tim Graham | June 28, 2008 – 22:05 ET
In the civics textbooks (and in self-important gatherings of journalists), we are told that the newspapers are the factual sticklers that hold politicians accountable. But the deeply held media principle that Barack Obama floats above the grubby world of politics like an idealistic space cowboy means the civics textbooks aren’t in use.
Instapundit highlighted how The Washington Post’s Howard Kurtz noticed that the nation’s leading newspapers (The New York Times, USA Today, and Obama’s hometown Chicago Tribune) all avoided the substance of Barack Obama’s flip-flop on the D.C. gun ban. Patterico added the L.A. Times to the list (complete with video of Obama on DC’s local ABC channel.) Yesterday I noticed the same thing online at Time.

This November, for the first time, McCain’s name will appear on a national ballot. While Arizona residents know a lot about McCain’s political history, the nation, as a whole, knows relatively little. His national image is largely a fantasy created by his public relations machine. It is time now that the nation learns the facts about McCain. What better place to begin than in his home state with his fellow Republicans?

MESSAGE TO headoverhills:
If you are still reading these blog posts — I read your responses to my posts from the previous thread. I hope you will continue to read and blog here. As you have probably read, no one intends to discourage you for voicing your opinion against voting for McCain. I am sure there are more people on here who do not want to vote for him, but they haven’t said so publicly, which is their privilege.
You or someone else asked about independent alternatives to Obama and McCain: If you are a left-leaning or progressive voter, you may want to consider Ralph Nader (I will probably vote for him), or the Green Party candidate (not sure who that is). If you are a more conservative voter and you don’t like McCain, you may like the Libertarian candidate better. (I’m not sure, but I think his name is Bob Barr??) Anyway, I don’t have links for those people, but they should be easy enough to find in a search engine.
Take care, headoverhills, and don’t be discouraged.

I am pondering ideas in my head… just WHERE would we convene our first PUMA Convention?
It should be in the middle of the country… so it is only a moderate to long plane ride, or train ride for those who do not fly, or bus. So it should have Amtrak, National and International Airports.
And the date should be significant, for a movement such as ours.
Where Oh Where and when?
Chicago fits the bill.
We’ll be able to all Stare IT in the EYES.

The only thing I use Google for is picture search. Otherwise I absolutely despise Google. I’m a Yahoo boy. =P
Do they actually think a petition against all the PUMAS will make us go away???
How can Google shut avenues to Puma sites down? Isn’t that against the law?? What gives? Is it that they just don’t want people putting in a search for PUMAS? By whose orders?
If they do that to us, then they have to do the same for pro-Obama sites. I mean, goodness gracious, people can google just about ANYTHING—tomatoes, Satan, how to make a bomb?
Am I misreading this action by Google?

And in the spring grows them back again
So Hillary has lost battles during the nomination
Yet keeps coming back, renewed again!
Now they say Obama is the chosen
But in the future Hillary will be the favored one
Hillary has been, is, and will be…reborn!

#327 Please excuse my grammar as well. I should proofread my posts!
The process of making our votes count starts in Denver. We have to get rid of the whole concept of superdelegates, and the strong voices of all of Senator Clinton’s delegates can help us make the next set of primaries fairer. We can change the rules, and ensure that no state gets left out no matter when it holds its primary. I would also like to suggest instant run-off voting, so that if there are nine candidates we can specify first, second, third etc. choice; that way a vote for, say, Senator Edwards, would not be a vote against any other candidate, but if Senator Edwards didn’t get many votes, the second choice vote would kick in and be counted as the voter’s preference for the second choice candidate over the last choice candidate.
Political parties mostly make their own rules. We either have to change the rules from within, if we think that there is value in what the party represents, or form a new party. As long as Senator Clinton remains part of the Democratic party, I think we should work from within for change.
Oh, yeah — after the GE, it is our representatives to the DNC who get to pick the chair.

Don’t forget the show starts at 8pm EST – tonight’s interview with Will Bower, Co-Founder & Spokesperson for PUMA and Just Say No Deal. Call in discussion following the interview. Apparently, we have a new round of fighting occurring here at MyDD over “PUMA”. Now I know it’s easy to just become angry and scream about it… However, I’d like for us to all calm down and really think about what this “PUMA” phenomenon is supposed to be all about. Oh yes, and why don’t we think about WHO this is supposed to be all about?

#219 Pookie…I dabble in art, not sure I can help, but what are you looking for?
Just ran inquiry on Google. It pulled up PUMA site . . . granted it was way down list after companies and sports teams, but it was there.
Found a new website: http://www.dncmonopoly.com
For #2.00 (payable through PayPal) you can electronically send a non-negotiable “contribution” to either/or the DNC and Obama. Site is run by a JS Marketing . . . don’t know about it’s authenticity.

Of course Google may just be listing the few sites they haven’t closed down yet.

# 192 I agree, Bill or Hillary owe BO nothing. BO has had several chances to publicly apologize for the sexist and racist comments made by him and his camp, yet he put it right back on himself being hurt–a true psychopath. BO is dangerous, and the sooner this country realizes it the better.

So, Google would not give links to PUMA, JustSayNoDeal or any other websites? That’s not good. More people use google than any other seach engine. Should we bombard Googla with emails that they are breaking 1st Amendment freedom of speech? Can we do that? I heard that ACLU is big on protecting people’s rights. Should we ask them?

Bill Clinton and Barack Obama will talk soon, according to Terry McAuliffe.
(CNN) — Clinton campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe assured CNN’s Candy Crowley that former President Bill Clinton and presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama will be discussing Clinton’s role in the campaign within the next two days.
“I believe that in the next 24 to 48 hours they will talk and off we will go,” McAuliffe stated on Sunday’s Late Edition.

Wahoooo Murphy, you nailedit—it’s about rights and values of fairness, respect and responsibility! I loved your line “We are the voice of VOTERS, not of special interest groups, not of corporations, not of politicians” and it reminds me of Thomas Jefferson’s words, “The price of democracy is eternal vigilance” and Harry Truman who said, “Are the special privilege boys going to run the country, or are the people going to run it?”

Gettysburg Address
Delivered November 19, 1863
by Abraham Lincoln
“Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battlefield of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives so that, that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this. But, in a larger sense, we cannot dedicate, we cannot consecrate, we cannot hallow this ground. The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us, the living rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us~that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to the cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion ` that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain ~ that this nation, Under God, shall have a new birth of freedom ~ and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”

Dear Pumas, I don’t condone the choices Google and AOL are making. But we do have to remember that any corporation has a right to determine how its resources are being used. As much as we like to think of the Internet as a public forum, much of it is controlled by private enterprises.
Having said that, I wish Google, AOL, and others were more even in their positions. It’s clearly lopsided when Obama supporters can get away with saying the most vile and hateful things, yet no one blocks their posts or shuts down those blogs.
But neither does it surprise me. Look at all the violence on TV and in movies. Look at the violent video games being sold today. There’s clear evidence that these things contribute to the crime and violence in our world. And yet these things are protected in the name of free speech.
Legal or not, something is truly wrong when sites are shut down for standing up for an outstanding candidate like Hillary, yet little is done to block the violence and hatred that diminishes our society.
Whoa i hope we can stop Google

Google Shuts Down Anti-Obama Sites on its Blogger Platform
June 29, 2008 | Filed Under Democrats/Leftists, Elections, Media Bias, News, Publius Contributor, Society/Culture, Warner Todd Huston |
-By Warner Todd Huston
It looks like Google has officially joined the Barack Obama campaign and decided that its contribution would be to shut down any blog on the Google owned Blogspot.com blogging system that has an anti-Obama message. Yes, it sure seems that Google has begun to go through its many thousands of blogs to lock out the owners of anti-Obama blogs so that the noObama message is effectively squelched. Thus far, Google has terminated the access by blog owners to 7 such sites and the list may be growing. Boy, it must be nice for Barack Obama to have an ally powerful enough to silence his opponents like that!
It isn’t just conservative sites that Google’s Blogger platform is eliminating. For instance, http://www.comealongway.blogspot.com has been frozen and this one is a Hillary supporting site. The operator of Come a Long Way has a mirror site off the Blogspot platform and has today posted this notice:
I used to have a happy internet home on Blogger: http://www.comealongway.blogspot.com. Then on Wednesday night, June 25, I received the following e-mail:
Dear Blogger user,
This is a message from the Blogger team.
Your blog, at http://comealongway.blogspot.com/, has been identified as a potential spam blog. You will not be able to publish posts to your blog until we review your site and confirm that it is not a spam blog.
Sincerely,
The Blogger Team
It turns out that there is an interesting pattern where it concerns the blogs that Google’s Blogspot team have summarily locked down on their service. They all belong to the Just Say No Deal coalition, a group of blogs that are standing against the Obama campaign. It seems the largest portion of these blogs are Hillary supporting blogs, too.
All I can say is, WOW! If Google is willing to abuse its power like this even against fellow leftists, what does it plan against conservatives, the folks Google hates even more!?
Here is a list of the Blogspot blogs that have been frozen by Google thus far:
Blue Lyon @ http://bluelyon.blogspot.com
Come A Long Way @ http://comealongway.blogspot.com

Murphy,
Would there be any way to set up a counter on the home page so we PUMAs know how many times the site is viewed?
# 375 cosmeta
Not sure what it means -but I haven’t stopped laughing yet.
Thought I would brag. Sent out 10 letters this afternoon with links to our site. Trying to catch up with the posts and have just skimmed most. I don’t get it. What does Google or any other search engine have to gain with suppression? If Barack is the selected one and has already anointed himself as the Nominee with 2 terms in office, etc…what is he/they worrying about. Sounds to me that they are having issues in the “confidence” department. They have “arrogance” covered but now it is sounding like “not very confident” arrogance.
Sorry, I’m in a rush today, so I can’t read all the comments. But I want to share with you something I just saw on our local CBS news.
Apparently some pranksters spray-painted multiple cars with messages like “Obama smokes crack” and several insults toward McCain. The kicker? Apparently, there were also messages of support for our girl Hillary!
Of course, I in no way condone what was done to those cars (Which caused thousands of dollars in damage) but it certainly does show that PUMAs are alive and strong.

It’s possible that Google and others want to prevent the nasty attacks that sometimes go back and forth between Hillary supporters and Obama supporters. Of course, if that’s the case, they should close down blogs on both sides, not just one.
#390 piepiepie75
As much as I like to see a movement going well, I really hate people that do this kind of stuff. It just gives our movements a really bad name and gives our enemies ammo against us.
Here is some more history.
http://usinfo.state.gov/products/pubs/whatsdem/
#390 piepiepie75
I know you mean well, but please don’t suggest that something like that shows that Pumas are alive and strong.
It should be the goal of every Puma to reflect the greatness that Hillary inspires in us and to make Hillary proud, even when we’re working to defeat Obama.
Wanted to give another heads up everyone… there are indications that there may be some things going on with yahoo similar to aol and google.
If anyone has pages on yahoo, back them up frequently, same thing with FaceBook, MySpace and YouTube – also a huge Obama supporter.
That is why we need to be cautious about publicizing e-mails, lists, number of members, etc. These people are playing “Chicago-Style” Politics.
What we are seeing is the Conglomerate Power of Media-Giants, e.g., Rupert Murdoch, etc., controlling what the Public hears and sees and shutting down voices of opposition to any power their enterprizes most benefit from and capitalize on.
I suggested that everyone download “EasyCapture” and start taking pictures of screens that you are on showing the abuse occurring against PUMAS and anyone in opposition of DNC or their candidate.
There are laws against abuse of power, freedom of speech, discrmination, etc., that can be applied if it is found to be widespread.
Everyone needs to start documenting all of this while the Republicans are still heading up the DOJ and in power in many state AG offices.
(There IS an election going on!)
Maybe McCain’s people can make this an issue if we ask for their help and have the proof. (I am a Democrat in Exile) but if what my own Party is doing is facilitating censorship on such a mass scale, screw it! I’ll be the first in line to give the Republican Party the opportunity to exploit it to their advantage!
The name of the game is document, document, document and hand it all over in big bundles and let the Republicans bring the “undemocratic new policy” of oppressing and censoring their own voters into the headlines!
This thing isn’t funny.

I just sent an email to Lou Dobbs asking him to run a story about Google censoring our right to free speech. I guarantee that if Lou picks up on this one, there will be an uproar. Lou’s audience is *very* much in favor of “free speech” and Lou himself has spoken out against censorship many times. I’ll report back here if he says anything about it on TV.
Can someone listen to Lou’s radio talk show? I am not allowed to access webstreams at work when his show airs. Here’s the link:

You don’t really need a program (This is for Windows users. Mac users I’m afraid I don’t know enough about the OS anymore to help you out. =/ Sorry) to take a screenshot of an image on your computer. All you have to do is press the “prt sc” button. This puts the captured image on your clipboard. Then all you have to do is open up Paint and paste it there and save. Voila!

credit. They are clever at exploiting loopholes and finding ways to shut down opposition voices. Come to think of it, the Soviets were pretty good at that kind of information control and intimidation as well.
It appears that anyone who blogs with Google supported BLOGSPOT is vulnerable to being shutdown unilaterally if they are targeted by a group of bloggers who claim the site is responsible for spam. All you have to do is click on this link and start your complaint.
Just paste that blog url in there a couple of hundred times. You have the time! You know that if Blogger gets enough of these that Blogger will shut down the site until they get around to reviewing the site.
People complaining do not have to identify themselves. In fact, a small group of thugs can do a lot of damage, at least in the short run.

It contains many web site links associated with either PUMA or JUST SAY NO DEAL.
In all honesty, I think Barack is losing control of his “surrogates.” The thing with spay painting cars, suppressing sites, et.al. goes beyond Barack. This stuff falls right smack into the lap of David Axelrod and Associates. The puppet master’s thirst for all AND nothing less of ALL is grotesque.

I can’t imagine that anyone can draw worse than me.
But the funny thing is that as terrible as I am at drawing, I love to draw. When I was in school back in Russia, an art school opened near by our house and my cousin and I enrolled in the program. It was incredible. I loved every minute of it. However I didn’t graduate from the program because when my dad died my cousin and I missed the first 3 or 4 weeks of school and they kicked us out.
I majored in Public Relations in college because I can imagine what I want the picture to look like (more or less), and what I want my project to look like, but I can’t even draw a circle or a square.
I remember in high school I was enrolled in Economy/U.S. Govt class, and our final project was to draw a metaphor of what the U.S. Government and Cabinet to look like. So, I had my uncle draw a spider, and have each of the legs connect to the poster with a rubber band, so that when you pull on it, it would show like different part of the members of the Cabinet. I got an “A” on that project.

Thanks, mcr!! I knew NoQuarter would get the skinny on this.
Now we know their tactics it’s clear to see that it is a CONCERTED EFFORT by Obama thugs playing the system.
Like leader, like followers.
I think the correct tack to take would be to alert Google how partisans for Obama are fraudulently targeting these sites and falsely accusing them of spam.
Then, ask Google if they have any way to circumvent such attacks or if they plan to allow such behavior from anonymous sources?
Let alone the fact we know it’s a campaign tactic no doubt approved of by the Obama camp.
#406 Zee… when did they come here “praising those actions?”

This event(s) at blogspot sent a chill up my spine too. I’ve posted in the past that I’m a lone voice on another forum and have been the target of personal attacks myself. I’ve recieved private message from people who are too afraid to post their views because they feared financial retribution.
Also, I posted a YouTube video a few months back suggesting Obama was using tactics to create a cult-like following. Within a day, it was in the crosshairs of a cyber-bully.
We are dealing with global media here. US politics/political institutions have minimal leverage over these conglomerates.
It’s not an over reactive to simply take precautions and back-up your information.
#406-I have to agree with you Zee. I don’t know any HC supporter who would ever do something like that and I certainly don’t approve of damaging property or hurting people.
Hi Murphy and everyone,

#390 piepiepie I do not beleive for one second that was done by PUMA members. I’m sure i was done to incriminate us, but that is not the work of PUMAS in my opinion! Outrageous.
This happened to me on ABC and other MSM several times, early on…
Although, nothing I said was racist or even hateful, only about the Chicago issues, all hell broke loose.
I got blocked each time as as a “spammer” – when I was simply posting information on the subject matter and using that information to support my position.
We have grown in numbers and savvy, so they have to start going after us now in blocs and groups.
Wonder how many paid bloggers BO now has on his staff? It would be interesting to know if he has increased the payroll since the groundswell of opposition is fawning out all over the place?

I just sent an email to Lou Dobbs asking him to run a story about Google censoring our right to free speech. I guarantee that if Lou picks up on this one, there will be an uproar. Lou’s audience is *very* much in favor of “free speech” and Lou himself has spoken out against censorship many times. I’ll report back here if he says anything about it on TV.”
I think Rush, Stern and Imus would love this story. Hope someone sends it to them also.
I remember all of these things, but so much “new” things happen and it can sometimes be information overload, but I am not taking that route as an excuse. I have started a file with articles and links. And for those who have and are keeping documentation…someone upthread stated the importance of that. They are right! It is one thing to be verb-age, but it also needs to have credible legs.

[[ I want to invest max. $10,000 of my own money to give it a bang where it counts - getting the word out there - keeping Hillarys name out there, our Puma name out there and getting new people to come on board and just get enlightened…]]
Hey Fred, who is not really Fred… Hey, it’s your money, so who are we to discourage you. Using the PUMA name has got to be Murphy’s decison though. But I think it a great idea, but only because with the economy and all, well… we still have to eat and go shopping… and while PUMA people are there, they could hand out your tote bags but outside of the store… as they are walking in.
I wouldn’t just give them away though… I would sell them for a fair price… so that other PUMA’s can do fund raisers through them and still make a profit and then perhaps they could donate that profit to PUMA. Kind of like you making a deal with Murphy to use her logo name.
And that’s why in the earlier thread I suggested that Murphy consider getting OSC ecommerce software. She could sell all PUMA member creations. As a distributor you would set your own price but leave wiggle room for markup and markdown, depending upon who your bulk buyers are. IOW, to give PUMA members a good discount so that they can sell and still make a small profit for themselves at meets and fundraisers. To give incentive and motivation to everyone.
~just some additional idea….

Command-shift-3 takes a picture of the entire screen.

I agree… at the very least, until we (hopefully!) get the ability to respond directly to each post, I would wish that Murphy repeat her early solution and have a more “focused” thread solely on ACTIONS and another thread for those who wish to socialize. I almost didn’t make it through the early section of this thread and I’ll bet there were some who didn’t make it.
I adore silliness, but it’s excruciating when you are trying to keep up on these unformatted threads. And as much as I dearly love the dedicated PUMAs, I really, really, really don’t care when you trim your yard, your toenails or your bangs.
But I’m all for a dedicated space where PUMAs can hang out and share cocktail recipes, etc! Let’s have both, a work space and a play space…each in its own space…!

Oh, I haven’t done anything yet…just emailed Murphy to see what she thinks . It is a lot of $ and we need to get the best bang for the buck as I like to say often (sorry) – people always like freebies – I just don’t know if totes are the best way to go. My husband suggestion of T-shirts or caps – expensive items.
Pls email ideas to Murphy or blog. Something like this needs time to coordinate – we are talking a lot of units
and when it comes it, we store it and ship out, to people that Murphy has OK’d for distribution. Right now this is just a first idea. Graphics etc not a problem. Content and the actual item/product is open for discussion. Time is short. PLEASE lets be serious.

Cosmeta, really good suggestions! And (Mrs?) Fred, I think the idea for those tote bags is fantastic. They are super popular now, and I would love to both carry some and distribute some.
Here is something I wonder if people know: Stop and Shop allows groups to sign up to stand outside the grocery store. They can sell things, gather signatures, etc.
They CAN’T deny PUMApac that right, I know, because I threw a fit when they allowed the LAROUCHE CULT to accost people. I went down to the corporate office to tell them that LaRouche was not a regular “Dem” but was a cult, and they said it was all ok, they don’t get involved in the message.
We could sell the bags for a fundraiser, put literature inside and even gather email addies for those wanting to get PUMA email alerts….um, when we get to PUMA email alerts level!
lets tell Hannity, this sounds like something he would like to talk about.

For those of you not familiar with the Denver Group, it was created by Mark Rubin (Tom in Paine) and Heidi Li (Heidi Li’s Potpouri) and this is what it is about:
The Denver Group has been formed to insure that the Democratic National Committee respect and carry out the democratic process at the convention in Denver this August by meeting certain specific goals. We will be advocating, and if neccessary pressuring, through purchased mass media as well other accepted avenues, the Democratic National Committee to see to it that these goals and the interests of tens of millions of Democratic voters are met.
Our goals are:
An open convention.
Senator Clinton’s name on the ballot
Speeches allowed by supporters of Senator Clinton on
behalf of her candidacy.
A roll call vote.

I am attaching an article that I found on this subject. It is date 6/6/07
Did Facebook give Obama a secret advantage?
At the techPresident blog, Joshua Levy and Micah Sifry charge that Barack Obama’s campaign has received an unfair upper hand from the online social networking site Facebook. And not only that, but Facebook may have violated campaign finance rules in helping the candidate out. While their story is a bit murky, with neither Facebook nor Obama’s campaign giving any firm answers, it is bolstered by an eyebrow-raising connection — Chris Hughes, one of Facebook’s founders, now works for the Obama campaign.
The alleged bit of favoritism concerns the Facebook Platform, a system that the company unveiled on May 24. The Platform lets independent developers create applications that can easily plug in to people’s Facebook pages. The applications do all sorts of things — Flixster lets people share movie reviews, iLike shows off Facebookers’ music ratings, and so on. While Facebook was developing the system, it allowed several companies — including Microsoft, the Washington Post, Digg and others — to access it, and many unveiled applications as soon as the Platform launched. Levy and Sifry say that Facebook also gave special access to the Obama campaign. The campaign released its own Facebook app just hours after the company launched the developer platform; although all of Obama’s major rivals maintain Facebook pages, none have yet created their own Facebook applications.
Obama’s Facebook application is a high-class production. As the blogger Rick Klau points out, the app lets Facebook users add Obama’s information to their own pages with a single click — kind of like an audio-and-video bumper sticker for the Web. The app has been a hit, too; more than 13,000 people have added it so far (and these things grow geometrically — the more pages the app is on, the more people see it, the more people add it, and on and on until the whole planet’s got Obama on their pages). Clearly, argue Levy and Sifry, the app was a long-planned thing; Facebook programs aren’t something “a coder puts together in an afternoon,” so to have built something so good so fast, the Obama camp must have been tipped off to Facebook’s Platform before its public launch.
Chris Kelly, Facebook’s chief privacy officer, offers Levy and Sifry a vague explanation, neither confirming nor denying, apparently, that the company gave Obama an assist. Kelly says instead that parts of Facebook’s Platform have been available since last September, and “we’ve had a number of conversations with many campaigns over the intervening months about how they can use the developer API and Facebook Platform.” But Levy and Sifry say that they spoke to Obama’s rivals and determined that no one else knew about the Facebook Platform before it launched. Obama’s campaign gave Levy and Sifry a non-answer: “The Obama campaign produced the tools ourselves, followed the guidelines set out by Facebook and look forward to welcoming more friends to our network.”
What makes this story more than an odd mystery is Facebook’s link to Obama. Chris Hughes was a sophomore at Harvard when he helped his roommates, Mark Zuckerberg and Dustin Moskovitz, set the site up, and last year, after graduating, he went to work for the company full-time. “But five months ago,” as the Wall Street Journal reported in a recent admiring profile, Hughes “put his career on hold to move to Chicago, in the dead of winter, for a ‘significant’ pay cut, in favor of a 14-hour-a-day job with Mr. Obama’s campaign. His goal: to transfer the same magic that transformed the way college students interact to a presidential campaign.”
Is it possible that Hughes brought too much of the Facebook magic with him — including even inside knowledge of an upcoming feature? Levy and Sifry say that if this did occur, Facebook “may have made an illegal in-kind donation to Obama.” It’s not clear yet that it did. But it doesn’t smell too good.

===
hillaryhead, please elaborate. Where did you see Murphy called a Republican? I think it’s the latest Obamatroll talkig point. It’s ridiculous. Who cares
if Murphy is a Republican, Independent or Dem?
Take a look at her message: the Voice of the Voters.
Who can argue with that?
But there is an Obamatron on a feminist site who is using this same ridiculous tactic….saying Murphy is a “Republican” as if that makes a difference. First of all, we have a SECRET BALLOT for a REASON. No one needs to say who they vote for, ever.
Second…we can think for ourselves. Glad you Obamamorons think we’re being “misled” —- but some of us are old school. We like our candidates elected, not selected. Period.
Third…yes, I do believe the entire primary was engineered to divide the Democratic party. Absolutely.
But that still is not enough to make me “unify” with the dirtbag who made that possible.
This lifelong Dem would rather vote for a straightforward Republican than a tool, puppet, panderer, or whatever you want to call Obama. He’s no Dem, no friend to Dems, no friend to anyone, really, but his own damaged narcissistic psyche.

Yep. And the DNC is fearful and being held hostage to the threat of riots at the Convention if their boy did not win. And if this be so, this is not a democracy but a hostile take over.
Oh, how did one person put it a few days ago: Instead of the Convention going to Chicago (like in the 1968 riots), Chicago is going to the Denver Convention.

Hi PUMAs
I am sorry for nagging you so much, but I need you to PLEASE SIGN UP TO HOLD STATE MEETING AND ATTEND ONE OF THE REMAINING MEETINGS AT: http://www.18millionvoices.blogspot.com
====
There are no Massachusetts meetups as of yet….
Didn’t Harold Ickes say Hillary asked him to reserve her right to take the DNC’s decision to the Credentials Committee? Is she not going to do this?
If you look at the rules closely, you’ll notice that there is also an article which states that no delegate may be required to support a candidate not of their choosing. You’ll also find that “Uncommitted” is considered a legitimate candidate by their rules, so giving the delegates assigned to “Uncommitted” and Hillary Clinton is against their own rules.
ALSO, there is a passage there that says something to the effect that IF and only IF there are no Democratic candidates on the ballot, then the DNC can decide who should get those votes. That means that if ALL the Dems had taken their names off the ballot in MI, then the DNC would have been able to assign those delegates to whomever they pleased. But that DIDN’T happen. Clinton isn’t stupid. She was an attorney. She knows the rules. The DNC did not have the right to assign any of those delegates to anyone because there were Democratic candidates on the ballot.
So Hillary has a valid argument…and yet I’ve heard nothing new about this.

Don’t jump the gun….see NoQuarter’s take on it…this is an Obamacamp action, not a Google action.
The Obamacamp is utilizing the anonymous reporting function to falsely accuse Hillary and PUMA sites of SPAMMING.
So, Google suspends them pending further investigation.
We need to lay the blame squarely on the Obamathugs and ask Google how they plan to remedy this.

I really enjoyed it and gave me much pride to hear them all fighting for justice!

I believe that Hillary has to play the game now. Otherwise, she’ll have a much harder time fighting for healthcare and all the other causes she champions.
Additionally, as long as she gives the appearance of supporting Obama wholeheartedly, she’ll begin winning over his supporters too. That’s essential if Obama self-destructs before Denver and Hillary gets the nomination. If she gets the nomination, she doesn’t want to fight an uphill battle against Obama supporters who think they’ve been robbed.
So Hillary is laying the groundwork now, doing what she must to put herself in the best possible position, regardless of what happens in the next few months. She hasn’t released her delegates, but neither is she making a big deal about it. Sometimes flying under the radar is the best strategy.
#467 Zee~I agree. Let Google do the work and give the credit were credit is due. Many sites that require registration and/or membership now have or now are enforcing their own spam rules. For instance, if you register or join a chat group, etc…it has an option were you can report abuse or a certain person or contributor. If enough reports are logged on that ONE particular person/group/site, they are warned or banned “pending investigation” or whatever the wording used. I am curious Murphy~ did you get any kind of abuse warning or similar from Google?

Wonder how many other unfair and possibly illegal advantages he had? Sure seems like there’s a lot of smoke…so maybe there is a fire.
My submission to the stop puma petition.
***********
How can you accuse people of something you know nothing about. So to emphasis, the overwhelming number of PUMA’S are registered Democrats who supported Hillary Rodham Clinton in the Primaries and Caucuses and they support her still. Hillary’s supporters come from all walks of life and from all democraphics. But yes, there are a good number WHO CROSSED PARTY LINES TO VOTE FOR HILLARY during the primary season because they actually think her the better candidate to become the 44th President of the United States of America.
BHO wasn’t the only one signing up new registrates, young and independents…. so was Hillary except that she didn’t feel the need to brag about it. Well, guess what… WE ARE!
Hillary in ’08
There can be no other!
Well… except maybe McCain.
473.
“Additionally, as long as she gives the appearance of supporting Obama wholeheartedly, she’ll begin winning over his supporters too. That’s essential if Obama self-destructs before Denver and Hillary gets the nomination.”
Awesome point, Firebelle!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgLAn5a_Kcc&NR=1 Hillary is a “Super Woman” please check out my above video entry if you haven’t already!!!!
Murphy: can you answer “Clinton rules” question re: Hillary going to the Crendential’s Committee in Denver?
I’d read those rules as well, back when all this happened, and was outraged that DNC leaders got away with it. I haven’t heard or read anything thru out the blogosphere about this then.
Anyone out there know anything?
Cosmeta said…
“Hey Fred, who is not really Fred… Hey, it’s your money, so who are we to discourage you. Using the PUMA name has got to be Murphy’s decison though. But I think it a great idea, but only because with the economy and all, well… we still have to eat and go shopping… and while PUMA people are there, they could hand out your tote bags but outside of the store… as they are walking in.”
********************************
Do not want to get into any “in-fighting”, but cosmeta I’ve got a bone to pick…
You responded to my suggestions regarding paying down Hillary’s debt by describing it as a choice between putting food on the table or paying Hillary’s debt. Did I understand you correctly?
It upset me and I took the inference of my lack of empathy personally. As passionte as we are, I don’t think anyone would suggest anyone disregard their basic needs to promote this agenda. I certainly never would.
Well..it’s OK to ignore my other posts.
While the economy is a central issue in this campaign (and in our country) if anyone is currently in survival mode they would be ill-advised to spend inordinate amounts of time on this blog if they can not put food on the table. We are about standing up for our democratic system. We are not advocating other social/political agendas. We are from various socio/economic backgrounds. We are about empowerment, not the opposite. Some of us might look like elitists to some of the rest of us.
There I said it….not going to belabor the point…there are much bigger fishes to fry here…its just you post a lot and I don’t understand where you are coming from…
Again, I’m not picking a fight…I’m trying to understand where you are coming from because I felt blindsided and alienated yesterday.
Thanks.
Thanks, #470, for the link!

We were asked to go to this link the other day and the subject was you pumas are worst then cougars I was like Huh? …I was really confused as to what they meant any one have any ideas on this?
======
Poor Pookie! I didn’t see anyone else answer and I hate it when I have no idea what certain terms and catchphrases mean. A “cougar” is used to denote a sexy older woman who dates younger men.
So people sometimes make jokes because supposedly PUMAs are all older women.
Thanks, again, #470 DancesWithPumas!

========
I agree, Brooklyn, and here is the link to the story you mentioned:

Does anyone know what HRC’s debt balance is at this point?
#495 goandersen,
She has to report to the FEC in a few days, then we will know the balance.

Thanks for your response. As PUMAS, we seem to be fighting so many media and website groups. The DP seems so clueless. To me they do not represent the “best interests” of the country when they can select such an unqualified candidate as *61.
#494 Zee~ I am doing my part in my district here. Nick Lampson currently holds the position. He endorsed Barack after Hillary took Texas. He will be coming home in 2009, with some help from me and others.

[[ Bill needs to stay gone and show behind the scenes support for his wife and how she was politically raped by Obama. And Bill needs to rebel/speak out/criticize against the way they were labeled racist by Obama. Bill needs to demand an apology from Michelle for all her anti-Hillary rantings.]]
I don’t think the Party, nor his wife would appreciate at this point in time if he spoke out… but he is certainly entited to go on a sabbatical the way Rev Jeremiah Wright did or the way Mr O disappeared to the Virgin Islands.
Bill put out a statement that he would do what he can but only if Mr O asked him… so apparently Mr Osami has not done that yet. Besides wasn’t it media saying for weeks on end that Mr O would not choose Hillary as his VP because Bill could not be vetted and because his wife did not like Hillary or Bill. Wasn’t it media who said that Bill would become a distraction to the Oadministration.
So with all that hype, why the heck should he endorse O-wannabe. Why should he work for him… he has his own life and can make more money doing lectures than what O-wannabe is paying Hillary.
Good job Bill…
Stay away as long as you want!!!

No Puma (and no Hillary supporter) should ever be chastised for our limitations or our choices, so long as our hearts are in the right place and we conduct ourselves with dignity.
I’ve donated to Hillary’s campaign, though not as much as I would have liked. However, no one is helping me pay down my own debt, which is considerable in this lousy economy. So I’m more inclined to help by writing letters and emails to key players, using my words to make a difference.
I’ve also been troubled lately by the obscene amounts of money spent during the primaries. Imagine how much good that money could have done if put toward disaster recovery, healthcare, and other causes the candidates say they’re championing. So last month, instead of donating to Hillary directly, I donated $100 to the Red Cross in Hillary’s name. I felt more compelled to help disaster victims whose resources are more limited than Hillary’s.
Alohapuma, your contributions, whatever they are, are very much appreciated. Like Hillary says, it takes a village. Our collective efforts all matter.

I blogged over there today at ABC under the Richardson article.
Lordy, those people are obnoxious, argumentative, bullying and just plain try to bait you into some ridiculous
banter about nothing. Not to mention the false accusations with no support behind them. Ick!
OMG!!!!
New format!!!
I am so excited!!!!
Thank you Murphy!!
What’s going on with the site???
That was strange
I can’t get over something, need to vent – I’m sorry for rehashing the same things over & over – had 2 relatives at our house today – republicans – the minute they came in he was gloating about our party doing it to itself, siding with Nobama and kicking Hillary out (like NObama did with that lady in Chicago who was running against him for Senate) and making it easy for them by setting NObama up against McCain.
My husband and I just kept our mouths shut, didn’t tell him that we planned to vote for McCain too as a protest vote against NObama.
I really feel like we’re out in the Twilight zone somewhere, or like we’re orphans, or unrepresented, this is awful!
How did this Howard Dean get all that power anyway? and what’s with CNN and most of the others, and this racist stuff that set us all back 50+ years, and is it really possible for NObama to be getting so much money in such small amounts? I feel that some very deep pockets are behind all this.
Is it possible to investigate if he paid and how much the superdelegates?
And this stuff with the caucuses? I googled caucus fraud last night and couldn’t believe what I saw.
This is not a third world country is it?

‘Of course, I in no way condone what was done to those cars (Which caused thousands of dollars in damage) but it certainly does show that PUMAs are alive and strong.’
I saw that article earlier. It seems the vandals left ‘business cards’ on the cars and PUMA’s are being blamed because we have blogged about handing out business cards. I think it said the cards had anti Obama and Dean info and pro Hillary info on them.
I think the part of your blog above makes it sound like PUMA’s are responsible. We have to be careful.

Obama’s Certified Forgery? Time to Litigate for Truth.
http://www.stop-obama.org/?p=588#comment-8804
The story at the link above is about whether Obama is a natural born citizen or not. People have been inspecting on-line photos (I assume?) of the certificate and trying to show it’s a forgery. I think they’re off base with this approach. I assume most states do this in roughly the same way, and therefore the right way to check this is to go to the Registrar of Live Births (or whatever they call it in Hawaii) and check the records there. They should have a record of the birth and if they do, the certificate itself is irrelevant. Someone in Hawaii could easily check and verify the facts.
I only bring this up because a lot of the anti-Obama sites are making some wild accusations and, in my opinion, will only lose any credibility they may have in doing so. Better to base your arguments on solid ground and facts than to stray into the fringe areas.
–
I still want to see someone unearth the behind the scenes story of how the Obama campaign did everything they could to disenfranchise voters in MI and FL and, possibly, elsewhere during the primary. And how they may have planted stories in the media about “racism” where none existed. (I still can’t believe Obama people were seriously charging Bill Clinton with being a racist.)

Anyone else notice how cocky BO is getting lately? That’s sure to trip him up at some point.

They are knocking down anti-obama youtubers ratings. They obviously come in swarms and rate our videos with a 1 and within an hour our ratings are next to nothing. It’s happening to many of us..including me.
Also on noquarter, there was an article about the storm troopers reporting HRC blog sites as spam sites. Many have moved over to wordpress since Blog shut some of them down over the spam reports by the storm troopers.

If you got to Justsaynodeal.com you get the coalition against Obama. But Obama bought up the URL for justsaynodeal.org in the hopes that he can capture all the people that type in org by mistake. So the .org site is a pro-Obama site that is meant to spill plenty of propaganda

GOP Sharpens Attacks on Obama
Allies of McCain Casting Democratic Candidate as Unprincipled, Opportunistic
By Michael D. Shear
Washington Post Staff Writer
Monday, June 30, 2008; A04
CLEVELAND — Sen. John McCain’s allies have seized on a new and aggressive line of attack against Sen. Barack Obama, casting the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee as an opportunistic and self-obsessed politician who will do and say anything to get elected.
McCain typically leaves the sharpened criticism to others, in the hope of being able to claim the high ground of conducting a “respectful” campaign. But the abrupt shift in tone among his paid staff members, volunteer surrogates and other Republican staples of the cable news circuit is unmistakable, and resembles the unified message the GOP used to paint Democratic candidate John F. Kerry as a flip-flopper in the 2004 campaign.
It also reflects a growing belief among McCain’s strategists that the campaign for the White House will be won or lost based on voters’ view of Obama’s character. In a strategy memo released Thursday, McCain’s top political adviser accused Obama of “self-serving partisanship.”
“In his time on the national stage, he has consistently put his party and his self-interest first,” McCain strategist Steve Schmidt said in the memo. “We have seen Barack Obama forced to choose between principle and the interests of himself and his party. He has always chosen the latter.”
Schmidt said in an interview that the campaign intends to point out “every day” that Obama broke his promise to accept public financing for his campaign, and that he has not made good on his pledge to debate his Republican opponent any time and anywhere.
“It’s a statement of fact that he discards people, and he discards positions when they become inconvenient for him,” Schmidt said Friday. “When politicians say one thing and then do another, like Senator Obama has done, voters wonder about the steadfastness of the character of the person sitting in the Oval Office.”
Obama spokesman Bill Burton said he is not surprised by the sharp attacks from McCain’s surrogates: “It’s our view that’s exactly the politics that the American people are sick and tired of. The only ideas they have to promote are the failed ones for the last eight years.”
Targeting a politician’s character flaws is a time-tested strategy, but it is a complicated argument for McCain, who has also shifted his positions in the course of the campaign. This month, with gas prices soaring, the Republican reversed his position on offshore oil drilling.
The aggressive rhetoric aimed at Obama began to emerge June 22, when Sen. Lindsey O. Graham, a national co-chair of the McCain campaign, appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” The normally collegial senator from South Carolina took direct aim at Obama’s integrity.
“He’s a calculating politician,” Graham senator said. “The bottom line about Barack Obama, whatever the position — whether it be Iraq, campaign finance reform, public financing — he’s going to take a tack that allows him to win. He wants to win beyond anything else, even more than keeping his word.”
That theme was repeated Thursday in a conference call with reporters about the Supreme Court’s decision to affirm the Second Amendment right to own a gun. McCain adviser Randy Scheunemann complained about what he said was Obama’s constantly changing positions.
“What’s becoming clear in this campaign,” he said, is that Obama “has demonstrated that there is no position he holds that isn’t negotiable. He will say or do anything if it furthers his political purposes.”
And Karl Rove, the former political adviser to President Bush who is quietly consulting with McCain’s top strategists, offered this piece of advice in his column in the Wall Street Journal.
“Mr. McCain will be helped if he uses Mr. Obama’s actions to paint his opponent as someone driven by an all-powerful instinct to look out only for himself,” Rove wrote Thursday. “In a contest over who is willing to put principle above personal ambition and self-interest, John McCain, a war hero and a former POW, wins hands down.”
Mark Rozell, a professor of political science at George Mason University, said the similarity of the attacks suggests a concerted effort to “build a picture” about Obama’s character before the political newcomer has a chance to convince people of the truth of his rhetoric.
“These things are always orchestrated,” Rozell said. “I have no doubt there has been a running conversation within Republican circles about what the theme should be in going after Obama and how that theme could be reinforced.”
The new Republican theme moves the campaign argument away from policy disagreements — of which there are many — to the realm of character, where McCain aides think their candidate is untouchable. But the tactic has potential risks for McCain, who has said repeatedly over the past several months that he will run a “respectful” campaign that does not engage in the politics of personal destruction.
Two days ago, McCain repeated that promise as he rode his Straight Talk Express bus across Ohio.
“Look, I respect and admire Senator Obama, and if I have ever treated him in a disrespectful way I don’t know of it,” he said. “Americans want a respectful debate. They don’t want us to finger-point and question each other’s character and integrity.”
In a news conference with reporters Friday, McCain decried “gotcha” politics and said, “The lesson I have from traveling around this state and around this nation is they say, why don’t you guys stop fighting with each other?”
But on Saturday he told a group of donors, “You know, this election is about trust and trusting people’s word. And unfortunately, apparently on several items Senator Obama’s word cannot be trusted.”
Obama supporters have offered questions of their own about McCain’s integrity, adding to the sniping on both sides of the political aisle. Schmidt said McCain has been “maligned and insulted and called names” by Obama supporters.
A radio talk show host called McCain a “warmonger,” an accusation with which McCain’s camp took particular umbrage, given his history as a prisoner of war and his oft-repeated statement that he “hates” war.
Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV (D-W.Va.), an Obama surrogate, even cited McCain’s service as a fighter pilot as evidence that he does not care about people.
McCain “dropped laser-guided missiles from 35,000 feet,” he said earlier this year. “He was long gone when they hit. What happened when [the missiles] get to the ground? He doesn’t know. You have to care about the lives of people. McCain never gets into those issues.” Rockefeller later apologized for the comments.
Republican strategists said it is not as clear that attacks on Obama’s character will work this year, when voters have said in surveys that they are tired of political vitriol.
Craig Shirley, a GOP consultant and biographer based in Virginia, said substantive issues are sometimes more powerful during a campaign than a focus on character.
“Bush tried the same thing in 1992 and Dole tried the same thing in 1996 — trying to make the election a character issue — both failing, of course,” Shirley said of George H.W. Bush and Robert J. Dole. “If these things were simply about character, then the two war heroes the GOP nominated in 1992 and 1996 would have beaten the draft-dodging, pot-smoking womanizer.”

HA! Lately? I am still trying to digest the one where he said that maybe the bowling alley in the WH should be replaced with a basketball court. I think he was talking about that in regard to his great performance at the alley in during the PA Primary, but I think he is serious , too. BTW, this is a question that was going around with my family earlier today. Is the President a guest of the people at THE WHITE HOUSE if elected? Do they have Executive Privilege to do as they want? I told them that the White House was a Federal Building owned by the people…(beginning to wonder now) and is maintained and governed by a separate agency and if there were any major changes, it would require legislation. Any comments on that?
#585 It was only one of them and ratings don’t matter much anyway, but the idea that they are so evil hearted, even to say that they wished McCain would die…is a pretty good barometer of what’s going on out there with the young.

Brian was a baiter. There was no substance.
#581 goandersen,
Yes they are. She did such a wonderful job putting it all together. After reading through it all, my opinion of BO took an even sharper nosedive. He’s not dirty, he’s filthy!

[[ I wish we also had a forum or a chat room, it is hard to keep up or get involved in the discussion sometimes.]]
I have suggested that several times over the past several weeks, but I don’t know how many are paying attention. I have even offered to help maintain it but have not heard any *offical* response from Murphy; either in my emails or here.
I am only familar with wowbb software and would be willing to *help* if a site with a Forum and Chat were created using that software, and would even help maintain it through the ADMIN PANEL and through my FTP software. If not that, I would be willing to become a Moderator of a specific Forum if so asked. And if Murphy chooses another software, If I can be taught it, I might still be of value.
In either case, much of our efforts in typing out posts here are being wasted or repeated just so they can be read… basically because there is no way to backtrack or to research was was said, days or even hours ago.
So Murphy… if you are reading this one, please email me and I would gladly give you my phone number so we can talk… I may not be able to donate much to PUMA or to attend rallies and such, but I may have some abilities that can be useful to you.
Sincerely,
Kathleen

#587 Sounds like the politician from Texas during the primary that couldn’t name one thing Obama had done…he supported him…but he had no clue why…
I can’t think of one useful thing Obama has done in the past 20 years, but I can think of many fraudulent actions.

I don’t think he liked it when I told him we wouldn’t iron his shirt either. LOL!

What a disgusting band these people are! Not much on free speech are they? I think your ‘stormtroopers’ label was right on. It is this that turns so mnay of us against them – they’re so un-American. As Murphy said in her post, Political dissent is one of our most important rights. I guess the BO crowd does not think we should have that right.
#579 N. Lee,
We must take all of this to a media outlet that will report on it. It will discredit Obama. I got a video forwarded to me today about what you wrote. I’m sorry it’s happening to your videos. I always love them.

#598 The list of negatives is grows longer every day…and insofar as his positions go, they change every day…Change you can definately believe it!
who is the wing beneath his wings?
He has gotten away with just about everything…including posting a fraudulent birth certificate, which by the way, is against the law.
He has reproduced the Presidential Seal, which is against the law.
He has lined the pockets of his friends and associates the whole time he was in Chicago.
And that’s just getting started. I’m sure there will be more on the way as the election gears up.
#598 N. Lee
His actual record is far from pretty. Some of the things he did in Illinois to win elections would definitely shock most Americans.
Does anyone remember MO saying early on in the primaries something like they were only going to do this once and this was our only chance to have BO as president!! That would be good news for Hillary if she runs again in 2012!
#587 TrishfromCanada
Whenever people say they are for Obama, and after you ask the question as you did… I find it’s a nice introduction to the level of his corruption to then ask, “Do you know how he became Senator of Illinois?” Of course they never know, then I explain how he became Senator by using lawyers to knock all of his competition off the ballot so that he was the only choice the voters had left.
The Saturday morning of the SC primary, on Morning Joe on MSNBC, there was a black congressman from SC being interviewed. He discussed how the SC black caucus group has volunters assigned to ‘check’ speeches and articles for racist remarks. They also target certain public figures and follow every thing they can get on those figures in an effort to find any ‘hint of racism’ in their words.
This is in an effort to ‘educate’ the black community about ‘hidden’ racism. He postulated that the white community is ALL racist, that even in honoring the accomplishments of the black citizen, (such as MLK) we are racist in our approach as a nation. He continued to discuss how the white speakers at MLK’s birthday event were scrutinized, and that it was planned for every word would be analyzed, and this racism exposed. In short, he proclaimed that if you aren’t black, you are racist.
He further proclaimed that since this group had been in existence, few white people could stand against them, and that they had been able to put ‘our people’ into numerous elected offices using the strike first tactic.
This man, I don’t remember his name, is a member Congress from SC. I sat there shocked at this. But after I heard Rev. Wright and his message, I understood: It was all planned to take out Hillary. More important, it was planned to fix the situation so that anyone who questioned Obama’s qualifications would be called racist, including the news people.

I’ve seen a few people talk about a chat feature, my opinion is that I like it how it is now, one place to get info and read peoples comments, if it gets divided up too much I believe people will break apart and we’ll lose part of what makes this blog special
I am at this moment listening to Will Brower on the PUMA radio, and he is great, very intelligent.
I hope we can at some point donate to PUMA and PUMA radio.
This is the time for “REAL CHANGE!”
Thanks EWard. I have been reading. Appreciate you posting the article. The last paragraph is the issue. We have our work cut out. The truth is, whether WE agree or not, a lot of people just like him. Upthread someone said that he was the next best thing since “sliced bread.” Why, we like our bread sliced. If you want it thin, Barack will slice it thin. If you want it thick like Texas Toast, Barack will make it thick, if you want ciabatta, Barack will give you ciabatta.
Thanks again!

I don’t think they are getting paid to do it. Obama has rallied them for his cause.
They are on a mission and it makes them feel important.
I watched a video that obama’s camp put out to his supporters. they don’t even thank them much…they just keep prodding them to do better…and more.

Re: Obamanazis
His campaign obviously has a cadre of misguided techies working hard to “control” the message on the net. The thing about facebook, this ratings attack on videos (not hard to do at all, I’m surprised YouTube is allowing it to happen, they could easily stop this), and other items all point to a well orchestrated group at work. Someone will catch them sooner or later, I suspect, and then, I’m sure, the BO campaign will disavow any knowledge of their actions.
If your videos are attacked in this way, can you lodge a complaint with YouTube? They certainly could put a stop to this (e.g. use a captcha, disallow multiple ratinga from same IP address, etc.)
A shameful tactic by any measure. I bet FOX would report on it. Might want to share your story with them.

Thank you for posting the article above. I followed up by sending Senator McCain the following email of encouragement.
**********
Dear Senator McCain,
Someone at the PUMA PAC web site posted the June 30 “Washington Post” article by Michael D. Shear. I was glad to see it.
I’ve sent the following to you before, but I’m sending it again in the hopes that you can use my talking points. (It’s a copy of an email I’ve sent to various media outlets.)
I know you want to stay away from the nasty attacks. What I’ve written below is a simple analysis of what Senator Obama’s actions communicate to voters. It’s not overly negative, so you might find the talking points helpful.
Thank you for your consideration.
***********
How many times during the primary season did Senator Obama say, “I welcome that debate with John McCain”? So why does he now do everything possible to avoid the weekly town hall meetings Senator McCain keeps asking for?
Here’s what Senator Obama’s actions say to me:
• Senator Obama is not a man of his word.
• Senator Obama does not respect voters who very much want to hear both candidates discuss the issues. Nor does he respect leaders in other countries who also want to hear both candidates discuss the issues.
• Senator Obama is not a man who can or will reach across the aisle as he has repeatedly promised to do. If he intended to reach across the aisle, he’d be doing it now every chance he could.
• Senator Obama is afraid that Senator McCain will expose the lack of substance behind his rhetoric.
• Senator Obama isn’t confident enough about the issues to speak without a teleprompter or the scripted words of his speech writers.
• Senator Obama doesn’t believe in transparency in government.
• If Senator Obama were to become President, he would repeatedly shy away from difficult discussions and uncomfortable topics. So, too, would he avoid talking with other world leaders unless they fall in line behind everything Senator Obama says.
On policy issues, I’m more closely aligned with Democrats than I am with Republicans. But I cannot in good conscience vote for a man of such bad character. In November, I will vote against Senator Obama.
#622 TrishfromCanada
She passed that shine on to us. We have it now.
She will have it again.
N. Lee – just catching up on the threads after an absence from the computer. I am so upset to hear what they are doing to you on youtube. I totally agree. And it’s obvious this is a pattern throughout the primaries and now I worry for McCain in the GE.

Yes, once again “selected, not elected” — this tactic (and he disenfranchised untold poor, black voters in doing this, btw) was one of the early things I found that clued me in to who this man really is.

It was Senator Clyburn. He was one of the first ones to bait the race card. At that time, Hillary was stressing the importance of experience vs. change. With experience, change happens. She further said that if it were not for the experience of John F. Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson, Martin Luther King would have never realized his dream becoming law. She said that MLK knew the importance of experience and how it was important to negotiate with those. That is when Clyburn, JJackson, ASharpton, et. al. went race. They and THE MEDIA twisted Hillary’s and Bill’s words (The Charlie Rose interview on PBS) and suggested…I love it…suggested that “they take a time out” and “cool down” their language. Disgusting and PLANNED!
Have no fear. I believe there are a lot of people working behind the scenes in tandem with us to stop this man.
They just can’t hook up directly.
I can feel it in my bones!
#245 mpdamon on 06.29.08 at 6:11 pm, WROTE,
[[Nader was the first person to speak out when Obamobots were presuring Hillary to drop out. He had an essay on his website supporting her right to run and using the phrase; “It’s Democracy,
get used to it”.]]
What has bothered me the MOST throughout this process was the fact that they were trying desperately to get Hillary out of the race so soon. And I was screaming inside of myself, (and sometimes outloud) as if I were watching the SuperBowl, why should she when she is matching him and in a virtual tie.
But what infuriated me as I watched tv, was that the push to get her out was coming from Howard Dean and Nancy Pelosi. I mean, did they think that we really weren’t paying attention to their choice of coded obama rama words like, “The country wants CHANGE” (hint hint, oppse… I mean, or man BHO… when they would say, This is such a exciting time and there are record turnouts… hint hint hint… BHO is bringing us new voter registration hint hint, not Hillary… so there is HOPE for us… hint hint… because of our boy Mr Omagnificent.
But when Dean said in April or early May, “I need the SuperDelegates to make their choice starting NOW, I wanted to fling my shoe at the TV set, because the SuperDelegates were originally set up to undo a tie AT THE CONVENTION roll call vote. So for him to push that they do it sooner than later, was… well, it was more than I could stand.
And that is why I joined PUMA.
Hillary won the popular vote
Hillary had the Electorial MAP.
And she is only about 132 delegate points away from gaining the nomination back in the end of May… but that number may have doubled since then. Still, the delegates at the convention can still vote her in. Moreso if they seat Florida and Michigan to the FULL 100% status.
And so, the MAIN push, in my opinion is to make sure that the CREDENTIALS COMMITTEE that meets on the first day of the Convention SEAT FLORIDA AND MICHIGAN 100%.
Not such an easy thing when BHO is now head of that committee and has the DNC under his thumb ready to go nuclear on them if they don’t tow the line.
#607 Henerietta,
Every time Rep Clyburn opens his mouth, it’s obvious who the TRUE racist is.

http://www.hellnobama.com
I know I already asked this but I didn’t receive an answer. And that’s okay, i’m not complaining (i love this site!) I find it so fascinating and stress relieving to read everyone’s comments
Anyways, my question was:
I’m not sure if anyone knows, but I was just wondering why we haven’t heard anything about it lately. I read one answer that said something about how Hillary must keep a supportive and “unting facade” (my words, not the poster’s) in order to have a good chance at gaining support from *61′s followers WHEN she’s the nominee. That’s very possible.
Guess I’m just wondering if anyone else has been thinking about this

clintonrules, you ARE right. I was at the RBC meeting and HEARD him stick up for Michigan. He was OUTRAGED that they STOLE 4 delegates from CLinton and Just GAVE them to Obama. Outraged.
I suspect your sense is correct. The Unity thing is a political move they have to make. Only time will tell, but Hillary is NOT afraid to stand up for her supporters and her right to be heard.
Rep. Clyburn , not Senator. Correction for post #631. Besides spell check, you proof reader. BTW, is there a down loadable program that does that. I know MSWord does grammar check, but is there a tool for blogs/chat that maybe I am not aware of?

Yes he did reserve Hillary’s right to take it to the credentials committe. I believe this can be done right up to the moment of the convention. I’m sure she has not already done so to keep attention off of her and on him. My sincere hope is that he self destructs with that arrogance by august and then she won’t need to make more “enemies” by doing that.
#646 ClintonRules
I posted this earlier in response to your question. I don’t know these things for certain, but this is my take on it …
I believe that Hillary has to play the game now.
Sometimes flying under the radar is the best strategy.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/uselection2008/barackobama/2211812/Bill-Clinton-says-Barack-Obama-must-'kiss-my-ass'-for-his-support.html
Mr Obama is expected to speak to Mr Clinton for the first time since he won the nomination in the next few days, but campaign insiders say that the former president’s future campaign role is a “sticking point” in peace talks with Mrs Clinton’s aides.
The Telegraph has learned that the former president’s rage is still so great that even loyal allies are shocked by his patronising attitude to Mr Obama, and believe that he risks damaging his own reputation by his intransigence.
A senior Democrat who worked for Mr Clinton has revealed that he recently told friends Mr Obama could “kiss my ass” in return for his support.

Hi y’all, Some interesting posts tonight. Things are really moving along. Murphy, saw you on TV last week, you were great. Tonight, I was researching the source who claimed Obama’s mother’s ancestors to be slave owners (His name is William Reitweisner). Anyway, I came across a fantastic site. It has uncovered more about Obama and also the “undercurrent” that led to Sen. Clinton’s defeat. It has a lot of “stuff” that Obama’s campaign and the Republicans did to land him the nomination. Also spell out the DNC’s motives. It seems like the web to undermine her was widespread. This is a MUST READ website!!! http://senatorobamaisanopportunist.blogspot.com/2008/06/bamboozling-american-electorate-again.html/

Racism is a tough topic. But I can tell you this obvious fact. Racism knows no boundaries. Some of the most racist people I have ever known were Black or Jewish, or …well, pick any race you like.
This whole thing about looking for racism is a self-fulfilling prophecy. If they want to see it, they will. Because they are themselves racist and they project that onto others. What’s more racist than thinking all other races are racist? That’s essentially what they are doing.
And, of course, the BO campaign used the racism charge to their advantage at every opportunity.
This is a very sad time for the DP and our country.

I remember my mom telling me once, early in the primary race that she watched one of Barack Obama’s speeches and by the end of it she felt giddy and “Ok we can do this! Let’s bring about change!” Kind of like a high. She said it was the weirdest thing in the world. It’s like he’s a mass hypnotist or something. The only one of his speeches I’ve ever watched was his speech after hsi loss of Super Tuesday. He looked like he was about to cry. It was awesome. =P

Oh! Here’s that letter, my friend says she’s sent it to about 70 people (so far) and after speaking briefly with them over the phone, each seems interested in contributing to Hillary’s campaign debt:
We’re indebted to Hillary Rodham Clinton, so why is she the one in debt? She fought for each and every American to have their voice heard. She stood up and used her voice for those who were being silenced. She stayed in and took vicious verbal abuse…for US. Like I said, we’re indebted to Hillary, so let’s start paying her back.
As you know, Hillary’s campaign debt is about $23 million, with 14 of that being from her own money. Being the considerate person her supporters have come to know and love, she is only asking for us to help her pay off the $9 million owed to vendors. This will be no small task. Before the primaries I would have stumbled back in disbelief, “9 million dollars! There’s no way! Impossible!” But after watching just how far we came, despite the insurmountable odds, 9 million dollars seems more like a stepping stone than a great wall of financial burden.
We have until August 23rd to help erase this debt. Paying off vendors who have given their services and valuable time is very important to Senator Clinton. Because it’s important to her, it’s imperative that we help her with this. It’s not just about giving restitution to those owed, it’s also about helping out a friend in need. Senator Clinton has been a great friend to me over the past 16 months and I’ll always see her as such. She stood for me when no one else would. If we were to expunge this debt, we would be sending a clear and decisive statement to those who have repeatedly shot us down. We would be able to show the DNC as well as Senator Obama (who have taken great strides to disenfranchise us) that we are remaining loyal to our cause. Standing up for our rights is one of the most important things we can do, and helping Senator Clinton pay the vendors is a great way to show her that we’re not done fighting.
Senator Clinton has remained true to her word, she is now supporting Senator Obama, many of us are not leaning that way (simply because we’re all extremely stubborn but also held back in our belief that he is not qualified for the most powerful job in the world.) As a Clinton supporter, it impresses me that she is such a loyal woman who can overlook the negative aspects of the primaries. It also pains me to know that she is now in debt in two ways: financial and to Senator Obama. Unless we can help her out, she will be indebted to him, I fully respect Senator Obama but I cannot sit idly by and allow this strong, intelligent, experienced woman work on a campaign that has been nothing but disrespectful to her as well as her supporters.
So I ask you, not as a Democrat, but as an American who finally had the chance to be proud of supporting someone I believed in with all my heart, please help me retire Senator Clinton’s debt.
If we each give just .50, this would add up to 9 million quickly. Giving twice that ($1.00) would help us reach 18 million. The more we give to help erase this burden the better our chances at making the ultimate statement: we’re not backing down, we’re in this until the very end. Please help us in our effort to truly thank Senator Clinton for all she has done and all she will do for you, me, and every man, woman, and child who truly deserves to have one of the most caring and gracious politicians in their corner.

I went down to the pride events yesterday afternoon for a few hours. There was a marketplace there, I hightailed it before the Dyke Motorcade, no offense but it ain’t a pretty site during that parade. Several ride nude and my momma always told me to never leave home without clean panties on, especially if you’re going on a bike.
Ok to be serious, there were a lot of people there, I had a friend with me, so it wasn’t so overwhelming, I normally avoid crowds of hundreds of people. Most just took a flyer and walked off, a few did stop to chat for 5 or 10 minutes. Judging by the accents we hit a lot of americans, heard many new york accents. Basically I asked them to check out the PUMA website to learn more about ensuring their rights as an american citizen were not taken from them. There was not really much discussion, people were pushing to get to the next event or get a better view of the entertainers or just simply check out the market. But I did get a chance to explain a little about PUMA and about Bo’s flip flopping. At least those two things I can speak well on. The few who were able to talk a bit longer were very upset about the way Hillary was portrayed in the media and by Bo himself, they were angry about the sexism. Otherwise it was really uneventful. However, I handed out 100 flyers.
I have a friend who takes part in the drag activities every year and she took 100 flyers down today for me, she was on a float in the pride parade. She said she’ll call me tonight when she gets home. She’s all for Hillary.
On Friday evening I headed down towards Niagara Falls for a bar b que/party and stopped at a mall to buy a few things. Two guys had a small table set up inside the mall and were wearing the puma sportwear, they passed me a flyer as I walked past and it was one of the flyers on the action page here. I didn’t look at the flyer til I got in the car. But I did think that was pretty cool.
Bron, 672 — couldnt agree more. That’s why I never apologize for our strict moderation. It’s what keeps us positive and action oriented.
And I have to say, I can count on TWO FINGERS the number of posts by Pumas that I had to remove, and both were simply unfortunate phrases — neither was actually offensive or hateful.
Honestly, we ARE the good guys. Pretty much every single comment from Pumas is helpful, informative, and friendly.
The trolls? not so much. You would not BELIEVE the insults, the lies, and the arrogance of Obama supporters who want to spread their divisive hate on our site.
I have absolutely NO DOUBT about who is behind the vandalism in Orlando. And if you could see the Troll Dungeon here at Puma PAC headquarters, neither would you!
#664 that blog has been blocked apparently
what is the deal are the blogspot pages available for anyone to flag?
One has to be a techie to even understand how to find and read things before they are obliterated…
I still dont know what posting downstairs means.. dont we all have to post at the bottom of this page? sorry to be so dense
Trish #684. HOLY SMOKES!
You just blew my mind! You ran into other Pumas who were out spreading the word just like you and it was a COINCIDENCE?
Wow.
cosmeta….that is a proven fake…which is illegal, but after-all, Obama didn’t put it up…one of his storm troopers did. Let him take the fall, not Obama..(that’s how he works)
I also found a site that says they have proof that there is a certified seal stamped “on the back” of the copy posted on obama’s site and they did it in photoshop.
Well, I have photoshop and followed the instructions to reveal the stamp…still no go. Our filtered copy of photoshop birth certificate looked exactly the same, except mine had no imprint.
This mystery is baffling that they are going to so much trouble to cover up a fake copy.
#684..LOL….but I could have lived without the visual..thanks!
oh I’d love to see the troll dungeon…just to get a picture
TrishfromCanada, another anecdote for your book – maybe for Chapter 3, Synchronicity? Hell, I can’t spell that word.

Great video. I was glad to see Gloria Berger’s (sp?) smug mug on there. Boy, did she rankle me during the primary with her clueless and biased commentary.
Go Anderson, I just realized it wasn’t working myself. The website is http://senatorobamaisanopportunist.blogspot.com When you go on the website scroll down the right side to Bamboozling American Electorate Again. Sorry about the glitch. It is a must read!!!!!

Yeah Murphy, that was pretty cool and they were young, maybe 24 or 25 and very nice looking, whoever they were they were friendly. Hey, I have to go back there this friday to visit my sister, I might pop in again and see if they are still there.

Amen to that! It was a ruthless and cold-blooded political ploy from the word go. Of course, nearly anything Al Sharpton is associated with is.
Seriously Trish, are your writing a puma pac book?

Outstanding letter!
I have two thoughts ….
1. If you want help with a few (minor) punctuation errors, contact me by email: firebellepuma@gmail.com.
2. There’s nothing in your letter that would ever make people feel bad for not being able to contribute financially. However, some people do feel guilty or feel like others are criticizing them if they can’t contribute. So it might be nice to add something to the effect of, “If you can’t afford to contribute, please continue to send Hillary your messages of support. Your encouragement and support are always appreciated.”
#686 GrowlyMadCat – downstairs means a thread from the past on the same blog. As in, posting on the margarita cat thread would be downstairs.
#685 murphy
“And if you could see the Troll Dungeon here at Puma PAC headquarters, neither would you!”
Call me corny but when I read that, the first thing that popped into my head was the scene in the first Harry Potter movie where Professor Quirrell ran into the Great Hall screaming “TROOOOOOOOLL! IN THE DUNGEON! TROLL IN THE DUNGEON! Thought you ought to know” and then proceeded to pass out on the floor.

Boy, I sure felt the same way. You stated it well. I have never felt such a sense of betrayal. The DP is dead to me (as Steven Colbert would say). The way the party “elite” ganged up against her was shameful. I just wanted to see a fair contest. If Hillary had been beat fair and square, I know I would feel a lot different about things today.
yes, i didnt mean to post THAT version of the letter…
thats the copy i thought i deleted (my bad) sorry!
the new evrsio does have better punctuation and i did add something in there about how sending her messages of support are always appreciated

Your sarcasm is showing, dear Puma. There’s nothing teeny tiny about the effort that goes into writing a book.

#708 Bron – you said it. I had to turn off the tv it made me so mad to see the way HRC was being treated. I’m watching some things again, but jeez. Did anyone see Terry call the “unity” [pukearama] event a “love fest.” What is wrong with him? Can’t the rhetoric be dialed down? I wish Bill would kick Obama’s ass. Yeah, I am one of those rural people clinging to guns and religion here . . . cue up the banjos
Your blog is outstanding. I was never a Hillary fan until the sexism against her became so ugly. The Dems have handled themselves and the misogyny against her (hence all women) in such a manner that I no longer call myself a Dem. Fox news and the right wing talking heads spoke about Hillary with the respect she deserved. Incredible, I never thought I would turn to Fox news becasue people like Keith Oberman and Randi Rhodes would be so sexist and offensive.
Although my state will go for Obama. I will now vote for Mcain. My first Republican vote ever.
Thanks for saying everything I am feeling.

Ha ha. Good one. Art imitating life and vice-versa.
Did anyone else get an email from this nut?
I VISIT THE PUMA BLOG STRICTLY FOR LAUGHS, NOT AT ALL BECAUSE I AM AFRAID MY CANDIDATE BARACK OBAMA WILL LOSE. I MUST SAY YOU PUMAS ARE VERY DELUSIONAL. THE PRIMARIES ARE OVER!!! THERE IS ABSOULETLY NO CHANCE IN HELL OF HILLIARY BEING THE DEMOCRAT NOMINEE. IT SADDENS ME THAT SOME OF YOU BELIEVE SOME MIRACLE WILL HAPPEN AT THE CONVENTION. I ALSO FEEL SORRY FOR YOU PUMA MEMBERS WHO ACTUALLY DONATE TO THIS CAUSE. HAVE YOU HEARD THE NEWS THAT ONLY 23% OF HILLIARY SUPPORTERS NOW SAY THEY WILL VOTE FOR MCCAIN. IF THIS PUMA MOVEMENT IS SO STRONG ALONG WITH THE JUST SAY NO DEAL, THEN WHY HASN’T MCCAIN JUMPED IN THE POLLS. DO YOU WANT TO SEE A REAL MOVEMENT. GO VISIT BARACK WEBSITE. UNDERSTAND THAT THERE ARE OVER 3000 GRASSROOTS EVENTS TODAY. THEY ARE AVERAGE AMERICANS DOING THEIR PART FOR OBAMA. ALSO THERE IS ALOT OF HATE ON THE PUMA WEBSITE. MOST OF YOU ARE RACISTS, KLU KLUX KLAN, JIM CROWE ANYWAY. MOST OF YOU PUMAS ARE REPUBLICANS ANYWAY. THE WEBSITE IF FUNDED BY THE GOP. MURPHY IS SOMEHOW CONNECTED TO MCCAIN ANYWAYS. YOU HARRASS PELOSI, DONNA, AND OTHERS. I HOPE PUMA RAISE ENOUGH MONEY TO SLANDER OBAMA. A BIG FAT LAWSUIT AGAINST MURPHY FOUNDER OF PUMA PAC. WHEN IT COMES TO FLORDIA AND MICHIGAN, FLORDIA AND MICHIGAN KNEW THEY WOULD BE PENALIZED FOR MOVING UP THEIR PRIMARIES, SO WHY DIDN’T THE CITIZENS OF THESE STATES FIGHT THEN TO SAY NO WE WANT OUR VOTES COUNTED!!! DO NOT MOVE UP OUR PRIMARIES DATE. STUPID IS WHAT STUPID DOES!!! SO NOW YOU GO AND BLAME THE DNC FOR FLORDIA AND MICHIGAN. MURPHY IS LEADING THIS CULT VERY WELL. I SEE PEOPLE ASKING HER PERMISSION TO DO THINGS LIKE THEY CAN’T THINK FOR THEMSELVES. THE AVERAGE PERSON DOES NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT PUMA. THIS ORGANIZATION IS SMALL AND PETTY, AND LIKE EVERYONE ELSE I JUST LAUGH AT YOUR SILLINESS AND HATRED FOR OBAMA. DO YOU KNOW THAT MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ARE VOTING IN THIS ELECTION. A FEW HUNDRED VOTES FROM PUMAS FOR MCCAIN WILL NOT HELP HIM WIN. YES THERE MAY BE PUMAS IN EVERY STATE BUT YOUR NUMBERS ARE SMALL. NEW REGISTERED VOTERS WILL CANCEL OUT YOUR VOTES ALONE. SO GO AHEAD AND WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS PUMA CRAP, I NEED A GOOD LAUGH FROM TIME TO TIME. HA HA HA IS WHAT I THINK OF PUMA PAC. I WILL PRAY FOR YOU ALL TONIGHT, GOD HELP THOSE PUMA MEMBERS. THEY ARE FILLED WITH HATE AND DISPISE FOR A MAN THEY HARDLY KNOW. TAKE THAT HATRED AWAY FROM THEM AND FILL THEIR HEARTS WITH LOVE.
antifish, the Olbermann report is hilarious. I still haven’t gotten over how crazy he sounded when he railed on HRC after Samantha Power got fired “by sundown!!!” for calling HRC a monster.

Your letter to Senator McCain frames the case against *61 so well.
A blogger named “rocketship” made these remarks in the WP that *61 represents “an irresponsible mess of ideas, and he is manipulative and intellectual dishonest.” Enough said!
#713 Firebelle Puma
Very true, It’s a huge task, you know what would work, would be anecdotes from everyone here who have experience in one way or another. Like those chicken soup for the soul books. But seriously, this would be a great project.
I’ve been studying Obama’ health care proposal and think I get it.
He covers children only. Who has lots of children hand who have jobs?
Hard working middle-class americans will have two children, three tops, but the others will have a dozen & we’ll have to pay for their fancy hospital births.
And in a generation they will have taken over. On our dime, out of our paychecks
Did someone say PUMA PAC book??? *ears perk up* Sounds like a great idea
Trish: I just KNEW you had some great stories from the last few days!
ClintonRules: Overall, I really like your letter. I don’t know if I’d include the part about “I ask you not as a Democrat, but as an American”–with tensions as high as they are right now. But, to find something wrong with your letter, I’d really have to nitpick it–because it was very well written.

Amazing isn’t it, that something so “small” as our movement could warrant such attention?
My reply. I didn’t want to give it the dignity of being longwinded.
You seriously need to get some help. There are no racist posts on our site. We are trying to reform the party, not campaign for McCain. You can discredit or minimize us if you want, but you do so at your own peril. We are many and we will remember in November.
Need to be re-energized? Need to firm up your resolve?

“Why Do They Hate Us” by Rabble Rouser Reverend Amy, at http://noquarterusa.net/blog/
First paragraph (includes a warning)
“Last night, I was reading Curve Magazine (Vol.18,#6, July/August, 2008). In it was an article by noted Lesbian activist and writer, Victoria A. Brownworth, “Why Do They Hate Us? How the Media treats Hillary is indicative of how the world sees women: as second class citizens.” The title pretty much says it all. And what she wrote included startling facts, which I will list below. They are not for the faint of heart, let me warn you right now.”

I get them ALL the time. I usually just share them with Murphy along with my pithy private comments.
I wouldn’t give them the exposure they seek by posting it here anymore. That’s what they’re looking for.
Incidentally, you *may* want to save that email. It does have an IP attached to that edress and domain and can be traced. I’ve done that and traced it to a home address. I haven’t read Obama’s healthcare proposal. However, I knew just from listening to the debates that he was off base.
Obama kept saying that everyone would buy it if he merely made it affordable. Not so. Some people don’t have enough discretionary income to buy health insurance no matter how “affordable” he makes it. Others would rather spend that money on “toys” and other things that bring them instant gratification. (I would sure love to take my $2600 a year and spend it on something fun, but I’m more responsible than that.)
By refusing to make health insurance mandatory, Obama would make it “mandatory” that the rest of us continue supporting the freeloaders. I object to that. Obama’s position on health insurance was the very first thing that swayed me to vote for Hillary instead. Everything I’ve seen of him since then has only reinforced my beliefs.

what a nutjob that sent that letter. how did she get your e-mail?
I posted this once before but it’s worth posting again. If you work on a PC and am interested in a great little free utility that is a spell check for any program you are working in as well as a dictionary at your fingertips… then you can download this free utility (WordWeb) at
http://wordweb.info/free/
Once installed — WordWeb always runs in the background and you’ll see an icon in the lower-right corner of your taskbar icons (it’ll have a big W on the icon for WordWeb). To use this program… simply double-click on a word to select it… then click on the W icon and a list of words will appear if it’s mispelled or a definition will appear if spelled correctly. If mispelled — click on correct spelling choice and click the replace button and the word will be replaced in your original program (whether it’s a blog web page, email… it’ll even give definitions when reading articles on other websites). As I said, it’ll work with any program and it’s wonderful.

I really enjoyed listening to the blogtalkradio program in the chatroom today with all the other PUMAs, most especially the ones from PUMApac.
It was interesting to learn that the conservative (very conservation) estimate of the PUMA Movement membership is 2 million. TWO MILLION! That number is for the internet members and doesn’t include all the others out there! It hasn’t even been a month yet, and the numbers are staggering!

They sound more worried than having a laugh at “our” expense. I have said this before, if the Almighty Barack, who has the nerve to put his Oracle on the chest of OUR American Eagle and says he is going to replace the bowling alley at the White House into a basketball court, and thinks the next mug carved into Mt. Rushmore will be his…then what is their concern. Priceless!
uh…er… um, that should be “(very conservative)”
#610 Jeremy
His followers really remind me of the movie “The Invasion of the Body Snatchers.” There is no substance. Most people do not have a clue what this man stands for.
The media is the key to driving up his negatives by following his campaign money and investigating his campaign troops fanned out across the country. ACORN has a colorful history. They got away with their program in the primaries, but our job is attack like PUMAS.
#734 cosmeta
We haven’t seen this on the news because it would reflect negatively on BHO. I’m sure a staggering amount of things have been suppressed by the media so that it wouldn’t look bad for him. That’s why it bothers me to think that if something huge comes out about him, would the media report it?
“Wait by the door and light a cigarette. He wants a fight well now he’s got one and he ain’t seen me crazy yet. Slapped my face and he shook me like a ragdoll. Don’t that sound like a real man? I’m gonna show him what little girls are made of. #722 EWard
Thanks. I know I may sound like a broken record, but I’d love to back Obama into a corner where he has no choice but to agree to the weekly town hall meetings with McCain.
Obama and the DNC have effectively blocked all resistance from other directions. They don’t care about the sexism, the disenfranchisement, or any of our arguments. So we’ve got to find fertile new ground that they haven’t blocked. The best route may be to let Obama put his foot in his mouth next to McCain.
I think with regards to Bo’s healthcare plan that the biggest asset that we have is that fact that Elizabeth Edwards spoke out against it initially. When a woman who is in the midst of the web that is health care says that Hillary’s was the better plan, shouldn’t we healthy americans listen?
Instead of the options of: 1) not voting, 2) writing-in Hillary or 3) voting for McCain or Nader … why not vote for the PUMA Third Party Alternative – Murphy!
A protest vote with a smile and a growl at the same time!!!

I was looking at some of the state polls, you know the only polls that really matter, and BOs support has gone down alot. At the beginning of the month he was leading in MO., now he is down 9 pts against McCain by the same polling co. There is only a 10 pt gap in NY (it was nearly 20) and they are tied in Mass. Indeed. I had a similar experience myself. Early on I listened to one of his speeches live on TV and at the end sort of shook my head and went, wow, he’s good. And during the speech I observed how I was reacting and noticed that indeed he could whip up an emotional response.
I believe David Axelrod made a comment one time about that being one fo the things that drew him to Obama (or to put it another way, made him think BO might be a good vehicle for him).
Of course, if you then stop and *think* about what he said, you realize it’s all hype with little substance. But the emotional response will grab a lot of people.
Ronald Reagan had a similar appeal to many. And Huey Long and many others, I guess. And, of course, the media did everything they could to help him along.
I’m sure I’m not the only one to notice that CNN ran Obama’s live speeches in their entirety while showing only short clips of Hillary’s most of the time.
#755 Dances,

#758 EWard – the pod people, yup.
#760 Firebelle – I know what you mean about the debates, and you are right on to keep talking about it. It is very revealing. It is obvious that Obama does not do well without a teleprompter. HRC out-performed him in every debate, and I too thought his health care approach was a loser. What is scary is that people I know who are trained to think analytically and logically don’t even question Obama in spite of the evidence of his weaknesses as a candidate.

One very dedicated Obama campaigner, who lives down the street from me, has removed his Obama sign from his window and removed the bumpersticker from his vehicle. I’m sure his change (god, I hate that word now) of heart must have been a difficult one for him after all the time and energy he poured into supporting his candidate.
People must be realizing who Obama really is… finally.
#720 antifish… I read the email downstairs from the “nut-case… you know what?
It sounds like Ms. “find your joy” Brazile finally blew her top, to me!
Come upstairs Pumas. There are only three of us up there.

[[ Well if they close down many more blogs it will just be counter productive.
Everyone will go to wordpress and talk about how blogger.com is restricting freedom of speech.]]
Google has censored information going to and from China… but my God, this is not China but America and an act like that is treason.
There is only one way I can think of for Google to do such a thing… Someone is reporting those sites as using spam tactics. So maybe after they investigate they will learn the truth and go after the real culprits.
Also one of the reasons I always get my own website and not attach myself to a hosting company. As they always say, in life you get what you pay for… And with Google, I guess if they are giving away blogs for free (which I really know nothing about) then they might have the legal right to control it.
I do hope you are making BACKUPS Murphy just in case you ever want to move to another Server.

Murphy, yes, I think you are doing a great job. And, yes, I would believe it. I’ve seen their viciousness first hand. The more the contrast, the more people will start to wonder. It works in our favor, sad though it may be.
I hear a lot of people arguing now that you can’t hold BO responsible for what these people say and do. (Funny, they did not feel that way during the primary about their opposition.) But it’s a very weak argument that fades over time. After awhile, people begin to wonder *why* these people are attracted to BO and why he tolerates them. Then they learn that he’s actually sought out some of these sorts of people. And then they start thinking and their eyes open…
I think Bill Clinton is correct to believe (as we do) that he will not be able to win over the people he really needs to win in November.

. That is quite disappointing and an outrage if true.
anyway regarding BHO’s hypnotic effect, that is what i do not understand. I do not find his speeches eloquent or captivating at all? In fact I think many have mentioned his dependence on the teleprompter and flat rhetoric. I just do not hear what others seem to be hearing ( or drinking in their koolaid). Honestly what I see is nothing “new or different”- I see an opportunist? I mean if he can ( excuse the references here) out black someone or out christian’ize’ someone or whatever it may be etc etc– I mean I think he always will–It certainly doesn’t inspire me nor excite me about change. It really concerns/discourages/angers me, because I’ve thought of being a dem as being someone who cares about the little people. I just don’t see why anyone would think ‘he’ cares about them? I really don’t. And of course I’m apparently gum under his shoe at this pt as a Hillary supporter and from KY no less lol (although I live in another state). It just seems so bizarre and unreasonable for Obama supporters to not care about our support not to mention the DNC sigh? It’s so insulting and baffling–….Well I know I’m repeating what others have said just couldn’t stay quiet especially hearing about google’s latest move
PUMAs will not be silenced; our voices(growls) will be heard!
What do I say to those who ask me now what is HIllary doing w/ her current public appearances with Obama? They will ask me Is she posturing for a cabinet position or vp or what? I don’t know what to say; I guess I should just hand them a flyer lol
Thanks Murphy and everyone for this great forum to voice concerns and more importantly take action. You truly are some of the most sane/intelligent people I’ve met in the so-called blogosphere.
And btw, Murphy… I don’t know how long I can keep up with doing it… but I have been downloading every thread you’ve been posting. It’s not a real backup persay, but at least our words won’t be lost entirely. ~smile.
ugh I meant the dnc didn’t care about us not that they didn’t care about obama- unfortunate editing there on my part oops

Ha ha. Are you sure it’s a parody? Sounds like the real Keith to me!

Here’s what I’ve been telling fellow Pumas who are disturbed about seeing Hillary support Obama now. I hope it helps …

Yeah, I bet Terry had to take a pill before he said it to keep himself from puking on camera. I know why they feel they have to do this, but it sure would be fun to see them all say, screw it and go home.
Yea, I’d love to see Bill tear him a new one. But as much as I bet he would like to, he won’t. But if he did, while he’s at it, he should include Joe Klein as well. What a sanctimonious jerk!
Please Bill! Give in! Let it out! You’ll feel much better! LOL.
P.S. I live in VA, we love banjo music!

No, but I can’t think of a better way to piss people off than shouting at them IN ALL CAPS. Truly an idiot.
Has anyone noticed a lot of empty asylums in their states? I’m thinking of checking ours…
BO reminds me of an arrogant, conceited basketball player in high school who’s in his own little click, who some of the other kids look up to, and they consider themselves lucky if he says hi to them. He has accomplished nothing else, is not an A student, no big league, just high school. The other kids that look up to him just want to be “in”.
This is how I see BO and the people who like him, they go along because they see celebrities, the media, those idiots on CNN and MSNBC, etc. etc. who talk about him like he’s the best thing to come along since tv. They want to be “in”.
There’s also those who want to prove they’re not racist by saying they’ll vote for him.
And then I’ve met a few people who will vote for him because of the war and as a protest vote against Bush.
They don’t care for anything else, it’s sort of like rebelion, vote in the oposite of what we have now.

Hypnosis: (and in my own terms) because I am somewhat psychic and not only understand the process but have some knowledge of how it works….
Hypnosis is the process by which a person can talk directly to someone’s *subconscious* mind so that they will comply with a sublimial message and even carry it out. One of the methods used by hpynotist is simply the usage of repititions. Obama used this methodology because he gave the same speech througout the campaign season against Hillary.
Now, if someone understand about what I call the Mysteries, they might also have the ability to have an effect on bodily chakras. Chakras are points of energy where the spiritual world meets the physical world; and there are 7 known chakra points. So that, when those like Chris Matthews of MSNBC say they felt a “tingling” in their leg, their chakra is being played upon or we could say, Obama is having an effect upon that particular chakra.
Obama once addressed this as non-sense but I think he knows exactly what he is doing and why. Especially since he has lived in or visited eastern and african nations where this type of knowledge is practiced.
I am one who is aware when my chakras are being played upon… Some of you may know this better as, when someone is “pushing your buttons” as they say. At other times we might feel it as an uncomfortable neausating feeling when we are entangled in a fight for example. We do not speak, but FEEL a sense of upset. Well, that is become the chakra relating to that area of your body is being played upon whether knowingly or unknowingly by another.
In BHO’s case, he plays upon people’s sense of motion… hence they feel it in their legs…. as if the body wants to move in reaction to him. And the legs or the lower part of the body is also directly attached to our sense of libido, if I can word it that way without causing anyone here offense.
Take a look at him when he speaks… especially when he lowers his head down toward the mic…. He is THROWING HIS VOICE and for a reason!

great analysis on Hillary’s situation.
How about if he self-destructs after Denver, like in October, when the real amunition from the other side starts pounding him, will Hillary be able to step in then?
When highly motivated spiritual people effect someone’s chakras, they may either feel it in their heart or they might feel a tingling in their head. That’s because they are an evolved soul and working with higher (i.e. god-like or we could say, Higher Self energies).
But when someone is working with lower forms, they might have an effect on your lower chakras.
Someone here, (think it was Ario) mentioned the other day just how pale and tired BHO looked. Well, there are those who take energy from those around them. They live for it… thrive on it… So during the primaries when he gave huge rallies, he was living off of the energy emanating from his audience. But now that he is doing smaller fund raising events and not in the spotlight, the choir of angels that Hillary spoke of earlier, are no longer their for him and he battery is burning out.
And for me, any person who cannot hold up to their own bodily energy and FEEDS on the energy of others, is enough reason for me *not* to vote for them.
And as Red Skelton used to say,
Good night.
And may God bless!
~smile

I live in Orlando and find it more than interesting that this vandalism was right across the street from City Hall. They have security guards that walk the premises and cameras on 24/7 but haven’t viewed the film yet and not sure if there is any…right, and you can guess who the mayor is supporting. Sure is not Hillary or McCain.
====
THANK you for this info, No More!!! I KNEW it…of course there is FOOTAGE….almost every inch of a city is covered by video surveillance these days.
Where is the footage? And so….we find out this was NEAR city hall and the mayor’s an Obamabot.
Demand the footage!!!!!!

[[ Did anyone else get an email from this nut?]]
I had to laugh at his ending statement,
“They are filled with hate and dispise for a man they hardly know.”
EXACTLY OUR POINT BRO.
No one knows him… so why in heaven’s name should we vote for him! LOL Way to funny!!!
