Murphy, did you get my email?

#2 Barbara4Hill on 06.26.08 at 10:24 pm

Hello Murphy

#3 CTKEY on 06.26.08 at 10:24 pm

From downstairs…

Good evening PUMAs. First I want t thank you for explaining *61. I admit it. I didn’t know what it meant !

There is a lot energy on the blog tonight. I wish I could acknowledge all the posts from downstairs. Some great comments. Some negative, but that’s OK. We are here to express ourselves, so if we get a little hot uner the collar, I can accept that. But no attacks on fellow PUMAs. That’s not nice.

Tomorrow is going to rough. Will need to get positive after the Unity-thing. Need to get into action with the SDs , and whoever else needs to hear from us.

Murphy…are we on track with the $. That will be key is PUMAs are to make an impact.

I am left wondering in all of this…The Republicans?..Why aren’t they all over BO and all the baggage he has. Am I missing it? I don’t watch MSM that much anymore. Are they waiting for after the convention to attack ? They will need to bring out the big guns soon.

#4 CTKEY on 06.26.08 at 10:28 pm

Good night all…Thank you murphy…am lighting a candle and then logging off until tomorrow.

#5 murphy on 06.26.08 at 10:28 pm

Hey All,

Agreed CTKEY — i think the repubs are waiting a bit. they dont want anything to backfire and cause BO’s collapse TOO early if you know what I mean.

We are GREAT on contributions — but still need more — we want to be at 50% by July 4th.

dcinvegas — I did get your email — WONDERFUL to see you here. Will reply tomorrow — thank you for the beautiful work.

HI Barbara4Hill!

#6 BigCatLover on 06.26.08 at 10:29 pm

That kitty needs a hug, as we all do from time to time, but I’m pumped with the tepid reception BO got tonight at the Clinton donor event. See it’s not just ‘whiney’ women who are not impressed.

#7 anonymous on 06.26.08 at 10:29 pm

PUMAs who are attending rally tomorrow:

Stay positive, and cheer for Hillary. Enjoy.

ALSO, PLEASE VOTE ON THIS POLL:

Obama with Clinton: 2 Senators, 1 Candidate.

I kept wondering when the Republicans were going to expose anything about bo but think about it for a moment…………..if Hillary were running against mccain then he wouldn’t have a chance. BUT bo running against mccain now that is a different story I think mccain will win because a lot of people are afraid of bo.

#9 Middle age female on 06.26.08 at 10:31 pm

Hmmmm, did BO say when MO was writting a ck for Hillary also?

Also important to remember that voters tend to have short memories. better for the repubs to save the really big fun for october. it leaves BO little time to respond and keeps it all fresh on the voters minds. I think the repubs are scared of Hillary but confident they have enough to beat BO.

#13 Middle age female on 06.26.08 at 10:33 pm

I have thought for awhile now that the Republicans would wait till around Oct when it would be too late for the Dem’s to have another candidate.

Hi Everybody,

Went whitewater rafting today with the family. It was nice to get away for the toxicity of politics for a few hours…but back again. Can’t stay away.

Right on regarding focusisng on the debt! Hammering it, but this is soooo key to a turnaround. I’m working on what I can do dollarwise from my position. This can be eliminated as an issue, then I believe in my GUT its a whole new ballgame.

Sorry without the # but the parellel with Hitler was saying what I did not have the courage to say. I’ve thought it for along time. That is incredibly powerful.

I’m sure all of us have friends and family who have become gushing zombies of this guy. It’s terribly unnervivng to watch this unfold, but also THANK GOD FOR THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. We get to say our mind without taking our lives in our hands.

Have to catch up…but I will burn the candle at both ends on any project that works on the debt.

“GRASSROOTS” Contributions

Did I see somewhere that BO was being asked to disclose information on his smaller campaign contributions? Based on his history of graft and voter fraud, I would guess that alot of it was from fake sources. Even those big rallies and such could be laundries. Does anyone know of any investigations?

You hit the nail on the head. I am sure that is what they are going to do. A lot of dirt is going to fly then. It should be very interesting too. I only wish we had a way to get Hillary in then and it would help our cause since Hillary is a sure win

#25 Taffy on 06.26.08 at 10:40 pm

Hi aloha. Interesting comment about Hitler because I got an article from the other side where they’ve already drawn up all the comparisons. That was back in about March and never heard anything more. So it’s out there waiting

#26 Taffy on 06.26.08 at 10:42 pm

#7 anonymous,

Did you see the poll that asked if Obama was arrogant? 81% voted yes!

#28 Jeremy on 06.26.08 at 10:43 pm

Let’s see…$2300 from Barack. I still will NOT vote for you. Old news, but wise.
Now $2300 maybe coming from Michelle. This one is for you, your grace. I still say NO.

Keep the money coming. You can give you pens, checks, debit and/or credit cards a rest when you hit that magic number of 12,000,000. Even then I will say NO. But, I will SAY….Thank You! :)

Thank you for voting. Please pass it on to everybody you know. I’ll repost it on other web sites. I will email this link to JustSayNoDeal, and then they will post it on their web site. If anybody can please post it on Clintondems.com I am registered, but my posts are not going through.

Hey, maybe we could have Murphy put a link to it on our next flyers and when we will pass it out to people more people will vote.

I went to our Action Center to contribute $10 to our goal to reach $2000 to send to help pay off Hillary’s debt. The “Pay Down Her Debt” didn’t work. Did we reach it? I heard on CNN that BHO is going to try to get over $20 million for her, while befor it was $10 92 $12 million for her vendors.
Are we going to now donate our money to our PUMA cause?

#39 Jeremy on 06.26.08 at 10:52 pm

Obama had to help Clinton because he needs her to campaign for him. He’s been a flip-flopping, bumbling excuse for a candidate since he became the presumptuous nominee. That faux seal really showed what he is all about. Clinton is the only one who can bring credibility back to him because he’s completely inept. He should pay her a lot more than $2300 for her help. This is one Clinton supporter who’ll be voting for John McCain. PUMA!

#41Antifish – my comment spent about 3-4 minutes in moderation before posting – but you’re right and don’t they all write like they’re about 12 – did you also hear the talking heads saying that Hillary supporters said some very nasty things about possum too – like that makes it okay – at least nobody threatened to kill him (not that I heard) – his creeps put up a video…….his supporters are immature – just like him – the rest have been turned into bots – drank that damm kool aid……. I didn’t even like it when I was a kid—no way could drink it now………………….

#51 Barbara4Hill on 06.26.08 at 10:57 pm

I honestly do not believe bo can win. I think they are playing games with the numbers to lead us to believe he will win

#52 LilyMaid on 06.26.08 at 10:57 pm

I totally got the numbers wrong. I am upset becasue i am afraid that this “paying off the debt” will lose some of the NOBAMA supporters.
It supposedly is common for the victor to do this for his competitor, but not everyone knows this…and it will look like a conciliatory gesture. It is not big deal for him, just another $20 million to buy the presidency. He probably considers it an excellent investment.

#53 antifish on 06.26.08 at 10:58 pm

#45 wontbackdown,

I completely agree. The polls are being manipulated to make him look good, but I think party insiders are starting to get worried. That, plus the deafening silence from the RNC must have them quaking in their shoes. Oh well, they had a chance to back a winner and threw her under the bus. They deserve what they get.

#54 4hillinca on 06.26.08 at 11:00 pm

#53 I agree with you too!!

#55 jrhed on 06.26.08 at 11:00 pm

This weekend is going to be a media lovefest for Obama, where the real news of the Congresses failure to enact Mortgage relief and energy reform are going to be ignored. Today the market suffered huge losses on the back of $140 bbl oil coupled with more massive write-offs by investment banks tied to the subprime mess, yet all the newschannels wish to cover tonight is that Obama wrote a personal check to Hillary. The best thing that could happen this weekend for us is to bombard on-line forums and email out our message to everyone we know. Start with this: Obama Accepts Millions From Subprime Tied Contributors
Excerpt:
Throughout the campaign season Obama has attacked Wall Street’s financial sector and ran a campaign based largely upon his “good judgement”. The problem with Obama’s rhetoric rests in the fact that tucked away in his database of 1.5 million donors are the approximately 130,000 power brokers that have funded nearly 60% of his campaign. Included in this list are the more than 350 campaign bundlers who have accounted for over $78 million in contributions…
…In San Antonia this past February Obama stated in a campaign speech, “To give you a sense of what that kind of lobbying gets you… the CEO of the largest subprime lender was promised a hundred-million-dollar severance package at a time when more than 2 million Americans were facing foreclosure, including nearly 14,000 right here in San Antonio…” Obama was most likely referring to an Angelo R. Mozillo, one of three CEO’s that were scheduled to appear to testify in front of a senate committee concerning their compensation and firms roles in the ongoing mortgage crisis. Stanley O’Neal, who received more than $161 million when he was ousted as the Chairman of Merrill Lynch, was one of the three CEO’s coming under scrutiny. In 2003, O’Neil donated to Senator Obama’s Senatorial campaign, followed up by a maximum $4,600 campaign contribution by he and his wife, Nancy Garvey, to the Obama Campaign. Ironically, the O’Neals tried to originally contribute $6,900 to the campaign only to have $2,300 returned. ..

The Full Article is here:
http://politicallydrunk.blogspot.com/2008/06/obamas-accepts-millions-from-subprime.html

Keep up the fight and try to keep Obama on the defensive this weekend. These are the stories that voters need to hear.

Next, this is from Rasmussen on Wednesday:
Just 37% of voters nationwide think that Hillary Clinton wants Barack Obama to win the White House this November. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey found that 33% disagree and say that Clinton does not want an Obama victory. Thirty percent (30%) are not sure.

The 30% that are not sure need to see the light, we can help.

I see the topic is angry women. I’m not angry, I’m disgusted with the actions of Howard Dean and the DNC.

They have ignored the wishes of the voters. They “selected” Barack Hussein Obama who did not have the popular vote.

The DNC counted voters in Florida as 1/2? They “gave” votes to Barack Hussein Obama in Michigan.

Angry, no.
Disgusted, yes.
Is Barack Hussein Obama really experienced enough to run our country? No.
Was he the wisest choice by Howard Dean and the DNC? Not in my opinion.
Are 18 million women and men going to support Barack Hussein Obama? No.
Will I be voting for Barack Hussein Obama? No.

Do you want proof that the way they are writing the headlines is to detract from the real story? Why? because they all got it WRONG!

Here it is:

An Associated Press-Yahoo News poll out Thursday shows Obama has won over slightly more than half of Clinton’s former supporters. About a quarter of Clinton’s backers say they will support McCain over Obama.

NOTE: “has won over slightly more than half”

That is slightly LESS than 9 Million voters missing from “being won over”!

NEXT NOTE: “About a quarter of Clinton’s backers say they will support McCain over Obama.”

(Where is the other “quarter”? The ones who have said they “won’t vote, write her in, or sit it out, due to disgust with the whole process”)

BHO CANNOT WIN THE ELECTION!

Hope we’ve calmed down a bit. It was getting a bit touchy today between two people. A bit of a cat fight, me thinks. Where’s goanderson? Miss his humor. Decided not to listen to the TV and work outside in the sun. Have a movie to watch tonight. I’ve been wondering why the Rs haven’t started their attack campaign? Read Murphy’s opinion of that. I’ve had the feeling that maybe they aren’t going to back McCain that much and let O sink. Then come back in 2012 with someone new. This whole election is like living in a nightmare. Good luck to all the Unity people. Stay safe and let the world know that not everyone is intoxicated for O.

I unsubscribed from Hill’s site 2 days after her suspension speech. I was concerned for my telephone # and other information in the database. It took 3 days before I could get a confirmation that my email was released. That information was saved by the Barack team. I mean, taking 3 days to get a confirmation. Smart move Antifish.

#81 alohapuma on 06.26.08 at 11:13 pm

I just read about the $4600 the Obama’s wrote to pay down Hillary’s debt. Kiss my grits!!! What an arrogant, divisive, demeaning crock of xxxx!!!! These two narcissistic, infantile entitled brats would take their brain out and play with them if they had any!!! Why would we entertain the idea of these two low-class imbeciles being our first couple for an instant?

That’s a “symbolic gesture” of unity???? Our former First Lady, Senator…etc….is subjected to this humiliating C**P!!! Give me a break!!!

That really get’s my Irish up. We have to get rid of the debt so these juvenile angry twits have nothing to hold over Hillary!!!

- If they want to upset the Convention vote by the delegates, they will do it 2 or 3 weeks away from August Convention. End of July or early August.

- If they think they can beat BHO, they will do it in September, after the Convention.

My guess is before!

[[if Hillary were running against mccain then he wouldn’t have a chance. BUT bo running against mccain now that is a different story I think mccain will win because a lot of people are afraid of bo.]]

I think it would be harder because they are both equals in many ways. I think McCain will win because,

- The black base to which he relies so heavily will represent only 16% of the General Election population. He can not sweep McCain the way he did Hillary during the primary.

- I think Bush will do something to make the Iraq war look more favorable. The surge will be working better by then; or he might begin to pull troops home. That will put McCain on good footing. Just look at today’s news with North Korea… they have agreed to impload one of their plants.

Hey everyone I have to call it a night and get some rest.

Tomorrow should be interesting in Unity. I wish I was closer to attend.

#91 FLgayGuy4Hill on 06.26.08 at 11:22 pm

I’ve been watching CNN (the only news network I can stand) and listening to the bobble heads talk all about how these large donors coming together is indicative of what’s to come……EXCUSE US……donors don’t equal votes! They can raise all the money they want, but our vote (pride) cannot be bought! I was also particularly irritated by that lady from Emily’s List who seems to think that women will just fall in line behind BO by fear mongering (threatening Roe V Wade being overturned). She should be ashamed of herself! I found their “contact us” page – we should let her know that there are many issues at stake for women (and all of us – I’m a gay male) in this election and that fear mongering from our own party to support an unqualified “selected” candidate is not acceptable.

I have had the same problem at CNN. During the course of the primary, I must have submitted hundreds of comments to CNN. Only a few ever got through. I tried to provide well thought out responses as well as some rants-it didn’t matter. I would look through the responses to see who was getting posted, and it was always the same-far more comments from Obama supporters-always. I believe their moderators are just as biased and corrupt too.

Barack has not immanent plans to go to Iraq and did not meet with Gen Petraeus last April. There are many fronts on this election my friends and we are forgetting this one. #63 Here is the article:

DEAR HILLARY SUPPORTERS
Hundreds of people wrote me in response to my OP-ED in the Baltimore Sun. I wrote them sent this letter to each and every one of them. Lynette

First I want to thank each and every one of you for writing to me. I want to apologize for sending a group email, but I got hundreds of letters. I want you to know you are not alone. There are millions of women who feel as you do, that the Democratic National Primary Campaign uncovered the pervasive and insidious sexism that runs rampant through our country. That Hillary Clinton is the most qualified candidate, and that she is being cheated out of the nomination by the good old boys network, the DNC and the Mainstream Media. You are angry. You are in a rage. I am too.

Underneath that rage is sadness, sadness that we are second class citizens in a country where we are the majority. What’s especially disquieting to me is that many young women are blind to the sexist nature of the world in which we live. It’s our job, each and every one of us, to educate them. Economically, women earn seventy-seven cents on the dollar for the same work compared to men. Women are in significantly fewer managerial positions, are less likely to own a business and more likely to live in poverty. Politically, women comprise fifty-two percent of the population and an even larger share of the voting public yet only sixteen of the current one hundred Untied States Senators are women. Similarly, only sixteen percent of the current members of the House of Representatives are women. There is only one female Supreme Court Justice on a nine member court and most remarkably America has never had a female president or presidential nominee. Women did not get the right to vote in the United States until 1920. The glass ceiling is real on both economical and political fronts. Men want parity for their daughters and granddaughters but not for the women sitting beside them. They are not going to give us the power that should be ours, we have to take it. Are we ready?

Women have no sense of their own power. White women are the largest race/gender voting block in the country. White men compose the second largest voting block, black women the third largest block, and black men are the smallest race/gender block. White and black women together women comprise more than fifty percent of the electorate and if were fully committed to a single candidate, we could determine the outcome of any office in the country. It is our turn. Are we ready?

I am sad that black women do not support Hillary in greater numbers. Many members of the black community wrote to me and said they were afraid to stand up for Hillary. They explained how black radio is pressuring it’s listeners to vote for Barack Obama. White men and women alike wrote me and told me that they were called racist for supporting Hillary Clinton. I want to remind each and everyone of you that, in 1969, Shirley Chisholm the first black woman to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives said, “Of my two handicaps, being female put more obstacles in my path than being black.” The impact of the “handicaps” of race and gender has not changed in the last 40 years. As women we need to come together, and take the power that could be ours. Racism and sexism are both terrible barriers, but one is not worse than the other. On average, a black man with a college degree earns more than a white woman with the same degree, and a black woman earns less than both. Black male physicians earn more than white women physicians, and black male professors earn more than white female professors. Yet ninety percent of black women voted for Barack Obama indifferent to the impact of gender on their struggle or how electing a female president might help them.

I want to change the world. I think we can. I think by electing female leaders we can create a gentler America. We need to be counted. We need to stand up and let the DNC know we will not get in line. As one woman who wrote me so eloquently put it, the DNC thinks we will vote for Obama because like abused women we have no where else to go.

I, Lynette Long, am a registered Democrat, but I will not vote for Barack Obama. I am not sure if I will stay home, vote for John McCain, or write in Hillary Clinton. I want the DNC to count my vote as a protest vote. I want them to know I am tired of being a second class citizen in my own country. This isn’t about Barack Obama or John McCain. This isn’t about Iraq or Iran. This is about a war, a war for our voice, our dignity, and our selves. I am doing this for my daughter, her unborn children and her children’s children. I am doing this for each and every one of you. I am doing this because I love my country. I hope you will join me.

Lynette Long

When asked by Hannity if he still believed the things he wrote/said about BO when Hillary was still running, he admitted he did still believe them, and that BO had a lot of work to do. Finally, an honest answer.

#122 alohapuma on 06.26.08 at 11:40 pm

Taffy,

MSNBC is reporting that MO did write a check. As if it’s important.

BO has the audacity to compare the trivia leveled at MO for her clear indescretions with what was leveled at Hillary. The are narcissists and pathological narcissists at that. I’m sure history will examine them and conclude such.

I have a suggestion. Find someone RIGHT NOW among the 18 million who has enough money to employ a decent firm of Lawyers and commence a suit in a Federal or State Court demanding Proof of Eligibility from Barack Obama under Article II Section 1 of the US Constitution. Let those Lawyers demand evidence of Birth and Nationality from any and all Governmental Agencies, Domestic and Foreign, who might hold it. Even if the action failed it wouldn’t be possible for him to stand as the Democratic Candidate in November. And with any luck, would also remove him from the Senate.

Hey all – for those of you that were bloggers on the HRC site…

For those of us who can’t be in Unity tomorrow –

We used to light a candle for Hillary, remember? Tomorrow as a personal protest to the unity event, let’s light two candles and separate them by 107 inches (the # of votes they each took in that county). This is our own private protest to our unwillingness to show unity, to not back down and fall in line. I know it’s a simple statement but it keeps us together.

#143 pumaindy on 06.26.08 at 11:56 pm

I have to say that I was heartened. He continues to prove every day that he is anything but a uniter, that he cannot win the GE, and that we will NEVER fall in line.

Well, I half take that back. Many of us will fall right into the Republican line for McCain in November if Hillary is not the nominee. :)

I have a question for anyone living in Florida — I hope Robert Wexler is on our list of people to vote out of office. I will never forget how he defended Obama’s plan to steal Florida’s votes from the people. I saw him on FOX tonight and he infuriates me. I wrote the following letter to Hannity after seeing Wexler on the show:

Dear Mr. Hannity —

I am outraged that Mr. Wexler has a voice on your program and that he has the nerve to come on and applaud himself for being a liberal and taking credit for the great things liberals have given the country. While I agree that liberals are responsible for programs such as Social Security and Medicare — I disagree that Mr. Wexler can bask in the glory of those accomplishments. What he fails to mention is his great accomplishment of how he helped to aid in taking away the voice of the voters of Florida. I (along with many other voters) will not forget his great contribution to the train wreck of a candidate that he supported at the cost of the constitutional rights of our civilians to have our voices heard through our votes. I will feel justice has finally been served when I never have to listen to Mr. Wexler’s voice again.

This is what they are saying a random poll of Dems shows, I think personally we need to get out there and stir up a storm, let them know they did not quite include everyone in their poll!
did you all see BO contributed $4,600 to HRC campaign?? WHaatt?? Is that a joke? Its a pretty sorry joke if it is. The nominee usually helps the other candidate out when he gets the nomination, 4600 bucks is like a proverbial drop in the bucket. We are talking $20 M that is needed Barky, not a lousy 4600 dollars. I dont get how this is not another slap in the face. As far as Hillary and Bill supporting BO, this is just politics and they are probably heavily pressured to do so. Does anyone agree that the media is just trying to stoke the fires when they make comments about Hillary supporters ‘getting back in line’? This is so condescending Im sure they well know we take issue with this type of patronization.
Until BO starts substantially dropping in the polls I think you and I sisters and brothers (FLgayGuy4Hill :}} ) we got a lot of work to do…….

Florida is absolutley crucial to our national strategy as there are so many Floridians who are outraged by what the DNC did. More details to follow once we have everything set-up.

I don’t live in Florida but I looked Robert Wexler up and he’s in charge of the 19th District. I don’t know enough to know what part of Florida that would be. Definitely have him on the list of people to vote out of office.

Here is a great comment from NoQuarter about the meeting with Hillary’s contributors. They seem to feel just like we do!

Larry & Co. I emailed my direct contact to the big NY/DC donors: this is her response about tonight:

The words from my friends were: uninspiring, unsatisfactory answers to questions; responded that everything is being negotiated; refused to define her role at the convention or in his administration; then, the biggest insult of all—writing her a check to pay off her debt. This really doesn’t surprise any of us. I am definitely not voting for this guy.

Seems we’re all getting the same feedback on O-bomba.

*Note the last line: this is a high-level long-time party activist. If she is feeling this way, and we all feel the same, and we KNOW Middle America does not connect with this guy, he is in real trouble.

#175 wontbackdown on 06.27.08 at 12:15 am

Just saw Nightline on the Donor Event and they were NOT spinning it at all for BHO! In fact, they were quite unimpressed that the “donors” were ready to jump on his bandwagon!

Also, they had Audio bytes from each one speaking and when Obama’s piece was played, a few claps only! He also sounded like a thud. Neither of their voices sounded “upbeat and inspiring”.

I think NoQuarter reported it right – the flip-flopper, flopped, when it came to stuffing his pockets on the run.

BHO CANNOT WIN THE ELECTION!

FlgayGuy,

Are you a member of the Human Rights Campaign? Someone posted earlier that they’d received an email stating HRC was endorsing Obama. I didn’t get the email, but went on their website and verified it. I unsubscribed on an email I had and stopped the automatic monthly payment I was sending them. I also sent them an email explaining in detail why I don’t support Obama.

Also I saw a comment on a previous blog page from William DenverCO. He mentioned that he often has to go to the Webster site to check his spelling when blogging. I would like to pass on some information to him and anyone else that would like to give this utility a try. There’s a free utility called WordWeb at the following site:

http://wordweb.info/free/

When you install this utility –there will always be an icon in the taskbar tray (lower-right corner). The icon has a big W on it (for WordWeb). This utility is awesome because it works with any program. Just double-click a word to highlight it and then click on the W icon to check spelling. It will offer a definition, synonyms, along with many other cool information. Just click on the replace button to replace with correct spelling.

#199 pumaindy on 06.27.08 at 12:30 am

Sometimes I do some random action. Yesterday I sent email to H/C at Fox News. Seems I have an uncanny knack for unfortunate timing. I don’t think they will listen now that the owner of Fox news has endorsed BO. This is a re-post from yesterday:

Dear Mr. Hannity and especially Mr. Colmes,

I would like to make a few points. I don’t watch TV news anymore because of the shameful media bias, but if I did I would choose Fox News.

I understand that Mr. Colmes aligns with the Democratic policies. I have watched Mr. Colmes try to argue vehemently for BO on policy issues. Under normal circumstances, I would agree with an approach that supports the Democratic hopeful by presenting logical and reasoned arguments based on policy. However, this is no normal election and these are anything but normal times.

Please try to understand this. BO is doing everything in his power to destroy this country. The evidence for this charge is bountiful. He himself demonstrates this almost daily. I urge you to do your own research with an open mind – you will surely come to the same conclusion. There is no dearth of evidence.

BO and his supporters actively suppress freedom of speech today. Not “they are going to suppress freedom of speech” – it is happening today and every day. U.S. citizens are afraid to express their support for Hillary Clinton in public. Many of those who do have had their property vandalized and/or have had to endure threats of violence against their person and against their friends and families. These are well documented facts.

I have seen a journalist actually alter the words of a campaign speech to cover a blatant gaffe made by BO. This is a documented fact and it cannot be denied.

These events signal danger. They are an early warning system that MUST be heeded if we are going to preserve this country and the principles upon which it was founded. This country is being attacked from within and the time to act is now.

My request to you and your news organization is this.

Please stop buying the propaganda that is delivered daily by the BO campaign. Do your own research. You have resources that are not available to many of us. Follow the money and follow the power.

Gather all of the facts and consider them not individually but take them as a whole. Paint the entire picture and then examine it.

Report your findings truthfully, as an ethical news organization must. I have no doubt that your conclusion will be that this candidate is not good for America and that he must be stopped.

Lanny was at his best when he could emphasize Hillary’s good qualities and contrast it against Obama’s. But now that the climate has changed in which the Clinton camp is forbidden to say anything negative about Obama — it seems Lanny has lost his edge and has to constantly bite his tongue.

#203 pumaindy on 06.27.08 at 12:31 am

Finally, here is a message to the rich and powerful who are aiding BO. Ask yourselves this question: do I believe that BO will keep his promises to me once he gets what he wants? Answer yourself truthfully.

The AP article about the Yahoo polls and Clinton supporters was written by a pro-*61 writer, Nedra Pickler.

She was one of the journalists that stated falsely that President Clinton labeled *61′s campaign a fairy tale. He called *61′s position about Iraq a fairy tale. In addition, before the May rules meeting about FL and MI, she wrote that seating these delegations would be illegal.

To me she comes across as a female Andrew Sullivan.

Headchunker’s #533 post from the earlier thread had an insightful comment about polls.

Good evening Pumas! Another night of fun and adventure! Love coming here. You are all amazing. Curious. Has anyone heard from goandersen? (Think I spelled that right…). I don’t think I’ve seen him here for a few days. (I remember him from Hillary’s blog so that’s why I ask if anyone was wondering).

I agree with the comments up above. The Republicans are laying low right now. They are planning their strategy because they know that the minute they say one word, Barack Obama and the Democrats are going to start throwing racism into it. Fortunately, I can’t see people like Ann Coulter caring one darn bit about being called a racist. Knowing her she’ll flip em the bird and keep doing what she’s doing. At least that’s my hope when it comes to the Republicans

They know Hillary is a huge threat to them. If she were to become the nominee for the Democrats (Here’s hoping!) then they would be done for and they know that. What I don’t get is why the Democrats are too stupid to see it. Oh well. Their loss!

I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve been feeling a bit discouraged lately surrounded by O supporters. Tonight I found all the encouragement I need to keep going, right here from fellow Puma posts:
# 63 Lynette Long’s really excellent letter!
Coverage of O’s apparently poor performance tonight at the meeting with Hillary’s donors!
The Washington Post article about Justsaynodeal and us PUMA’s!
I challenge ANYONE to read just these three pieces and not recognize that – while we may not all agree on everything, we are millions united in our belief that O is not the one to unify our country and heal us from the past 8 years. All of us, and from the list of blogs on the justsaynodeal website we are huge and growing daily, need to keep it up. Our steadfast refusal to back O, our unstoppable support of Clinton, our actions, our words and our dollars really are all making a difference. Denver here we come! Many thanks to all of you for daily inspiration, and especially Murphy for bringing us together.

#245 wontbackdown on 06.27.08 at 12:55 am

Goodnight everyone! I hate to sound so sadistic… but, I think it has been a really good day. Other than Hillary collecting about 9200.00 from the BHOs and Finace Director, the “UNITY” thing sounds like a flop for him.

Now, we need to focus on envisioning BHO at the convention saying:

Well, uh, this campaign has shown me a lot about the importance of the future of the Democratic Party and I am hear to announce tonight throwing my full support behind Hillary Rodham Clinton as the Presidential Nominee! (Crowd roars on for 15 minutes)

And having said that, I would be honored to be nominated as her Vice President and am looking forward to taking the White House back for the next 16 years! (Crowd roars on)

Hillary appears on stage, she and Barack grab hands and lift them into the air as a sign of Unity. (Crowd roars on)

Michelle, her two children, Bill and Chelsea all come up on the platform! (Crowd roars on)

It is the best sight the Country has seen since Bill, Hillary, Al and Tipper began their jounney to the HOUSE!

The mainstream media’s cameras scan the crowd and suddenly, people start pointing to the rear top of the hall… everyone turns and hall looks up…

and there, way up high, standing on the bannister is a mystic figure…

…a PUMA, gazing proudly upon the crowd… and with one last glance toward the platform, Roars a Roar of victory!

Goodnight All!

#248 EWard on 06.27.08 at 12:57 am

Fellow PUMAS

I wanted to share a letter that I posted on a pro-*61 magazine website about the “selected” nominee.

The Democratic Party and the MSM selected Obama long before the Iowa caucus. Trusted representatives endorsed a candidate that had continually lost their own state primaries. Respected party leaders such as Kennedy, Kerry, Richardson, Rockefeller, and Napolitano decided that they knew better than the Democratic voters of their own states. The “best interests” of the public were preempted, and Obama became a “selected rather than an elected candidate.”

The pundits warned us months ago this was coming. The race was over in February. However, his lead in delegates is a result of the supers. Without the superdelegates, it stands close to 1800. We had the MI and FL debacle in Washington DC. Obama prevented any chance of new elections months ago even when top party fundraisers offered to finance it.

The party, the pundits, Obama, and his supporters believe that their judgment is superior to Hillary’s 18,000,000 voters. We have been maligned as dead-enders, old, delusional, and hysterical. In our judgment, Obama is an unworthy nominee. He cannot unite a party that he has divided to win the nomination. He has had the assistance of a complicit media. They have shown utter contempt for the public when they did not back their “chosen” candidate. The voters in PA, OH, KY, and WV were labeled as racists, bitter and low information voters. Yet, Obama’s wins with a wide margin of AA voters were glossed over. Hillary deserves the wrath of the AA voters because she is a selfish, and racist b—ch.

So here we are in June and Obama the “presumptive nominee” is pretending that we will get over it. This issue goes beyond the candidacies of Obama and Hillary. It is about something more basic. In our opinion, the system is corrupt. It is reprehensible to ask voters to “fall in line” behind a nominee and party that cheated their own voters. The irony is the best interests of Hillary’s Democrats became the dual interests of the Republicans to defeat Obama.

#259 InuHanyou1701 on 06.27.08 at 1:06 am

I wish I could go to Unity! But alas. It’s too far away from Phoenix. I keep trying to get my mom to join the rally on the convention in August but we’re strapped for cash so I don’t think we will be able to. Oh well. I’ll be with you there in spirit!

#260 antifish on 06.27.08 at 1:07 am

Inu,

I wish I could be in Unity tomorrow too. We’ll just have to support our fellow Pumas in spirit.

#261 LilyMaid on 06.27.08 at 1:08 am

logging in problem fixed, now that it is bedtime.
Parting note…..our overnight kitten, with the bunny ears, was awakened by the growls of the adult Puma’s who are venting displeasure over today’s unity meeting…and, well, displeasure over whole BHO sham.

I too — wish I could be in Unity. I envy many that are in the hub of these events.

#271 wontbackdown on 06.27.08 at 1:17 am

#251 pumaindy… ooops! Thanks for reminding me:

Goodnight all… and remember how today’s posts began:

Long ago there was one woman, who stood on the street and wouldn’t back down when it came to what she knew was her Constitutional Right! (To Vote, have it be counted, and have her vote be far more respected than the one’s saying: “Get over it”)

PUMA DEMOCRAT
BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA WILL NOT WIN THIS ELECTION!

#272 DJ on 06.27.08 at 1:17 am

Thanks #251 pumaindy – I did go back and read wontbackdown’s blog and it helped. Also thanks #255 mzebest for your encouragement. I’m also encouraged because in addition to the millions of us foot soldiers, there are also many, many people out there with political, PR, legal, academic and fundraising skills and our own Murphy! who are taking on leadership rolls. We need to keep up our individual groups’ dialogues on the internet and our actions – they’re geting noticed. But to be most effective we’ll have to team up with all those other groups on justsaynodeal and pool our collective talents, energy and resources for the big, important actions like applying pressure all summer so Hillary keeps committed delegates and other actions to convince O’s lukewarm delegates (of which I bet there are MANY)that they’re backing a losing horse! All our groups need to also band together to make sure there’s a roll call at the convention – which I hope thedenvergroup will lead.

#276 antifish on 06.27.08 at 1:22 am

#268 goandersen,

I don’t remember a lot but, the Moran lady from Emily’s list was saying there wasn’t a lot of sexism during the campaign. Cynthia Ruccia was saying there was and talking about Just Say No Deal. Debbie Wasserman-Shultz was trying to downplay our movement and its significance and a black lady who I don’t know was saying Barack was not guilty of sexism, but the Clintons were guilty of racism. That’s about all I remember.

#277 InuHanyou1701 on 06.27.08 at 1:22 am

I have a question! Has everyone made full use of all public forums they can to spread word of our cause? (Cause sounds kinda cultish…. but I couldn’t think of a better word… movement?). For example, I stick the PUMA logo on all emails and whatnot I send out and I’ve made sure it’s on any blog post on my MySpace as well as placing it onto the main profile page as well.

For anyone still awake – http://heidilipotpourri.blogspot.com/ has a first person account of tonight’s donor event with Hillary and Obama. If he can’t win over a room of 150 active Democrats in an intimate setting, how does the DNC think he even has a chance of winning over enough of us Clinton supporters and any of the millions undecided voters to win in November!

nativeflower i saw something earlier onhere but i can’t remeber where.. let me take a look

#303 diva2 on 06.27.08 at 1:55 am

Hi all,

I have a few comments to make then off to dreamland. I want to commend Senator Clinton’s supporters for what they did tonight–standing up for her and asking the “right” questions. Noname will try to make it difficult for her because everyone didn’t rally to him. I actually think it was funny what happened to him tonight.

Now, like someone else said, this shows there are lots of others who feel exactly like we do and now aren’t afraid to stand up to him which absolutely validates everything we are doing.

My last comment is on the women from Womencountpac.I think it is great that the word is getting out that not everyone is going to vote for noname, no matter what. We have that in common However, I felt she could have been better prepared to answer the questions and from what she said it seems their group’s agenda apparently is very specific to fighting sexism whereas I think ours is broader. Also, her group apparently is primarily feminists whereas we have a broader base. I know we have “talking points” and after tonight think it is crucial that we know how to clearly state our position such as jrhed shows on post #55.

To all who are going to Unity tomorrow. Thank you for showing the true meaning of unity — PUMAS!!

Native Flower,

I am leaving from Boston. In a couple of hours, in fact!

I slogged through all the posts to see if anyone needed a ride last minute and of course I followed everyone’s links, etc.

It’s so exciting that on Obama’s “Unity (not!) Day” the Wash Post has such a fantastic article on PUMA and the Just Say No Deal coalition!

And did you check out that photo? lololol — I know their heads must be exploding because our leading ladies are killer photogenic!

Yeah, and some of us wear high heels, what about that!

I’m sure BO is in a snit about it.

#324 anonymous on 06.27.08 at 4:12 am

#322 Margaret

The way the media is spining the election, and I am getting even more afraid that HBO might win.

An article on abcnews website stated that only 20 people showed up tonight to protest the fundraiser, and according to an article on Washington post, Diane Mantouvalos who launched JustSayNoDeal with Mr. Bower said that 10% are on our websites. That means that there’s only 1,800,000 of us. It’s very sad. I hope that the numbers are wrong. :(

#325 Margaret on 06.27.08 at 4:13 am

Man they are persistent aren’t they! I had a very heated discussion with one of them when they called me for a donation. I told them I would not support a party that does not support their voters, especially Michigan and Florida. I had them remove me from their calling list and mailing list. End of problem.

#326 anonymous on 06.27.08 at 4:15 am

Here’s a link to the article from Washington Post.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/06/26/AR2008062604162.html?hpid=topnews

#327 Margaret on 06.27.08 at 4:18 am

Yes, I know that the numbers can be frightening, but if you combine that number with the voters who will be voting Republican it’s a lot more than the press wants us to believe. Also there are probably millions of them who just don’t get active on websites like this one. They go about their lives but are still keeping up with the campaign. The thing that makes me frustrated is how to get the word out more since we can’t rely on the media.

#328 anonymous on 06.27.08 at 4:18 am

#325 Margaret

About 2 months I got really mad at the DNC. I called them and told them to count the votes in Florida and Michigan. They said that they won’t count votes in primaries and that in November everyone in Florida and Michigan will vote for HBO. When I told them that my friends and I won’t vote for him, the guy who I talked to said to me: “Thanks for calling. Good buy.”

#329 anonymous on 06.27.08 at 4:25 am

#327 Margaret

You just made me feel a lot better. I totally forgot about the Republicans who will vote for Johnny (I love to call him Johnny). I also didn’t realize that a lot people are just not blogging. Thank you for pointing that out. MAN! I feel great now. :) :)

I hope that Murphy won’t get mad at me, but I’ll email her in a little bit. I want to try and call many news papers to tell them about us, so that they will run press releases about who we are. That will give us a lot of free coverage. I also want, and I hope that if my uncle won’t be here for the 4th of July, then I’ll pass out as many flyers as possible after the annual parade in the park where we live and at the pancacke breakfast event. I am also thinking, of going to a 3 day event in downtown. The representatives of Hispanic radio stations and newspapers will be there. I can also try to get in touch with a Spanish language version of our local newspaper to see if they will print something about us. The only “but” is that I need to make sure that my uncle will not be at home for those days.

#330 Margaret on 06.27.08 at 4:27 am

Oh my gosh…what a shame that the DNC would be so rude to you. That sounds like something one of the Nobama trolls would do..but then of course his trolls have probably taken over running the DNC. There are quite a few signs that there are a huge number of voters who fear this campaign just as we do. One indication is that the DNC is no where near the average amount they need just for the DNC convention. I also read an article today that said this month is going to be a real test for Nobama’s relying on the little peoples money theorty.

#331 anonymous on 06.27.08 at 4:32 am

Some other people at that time were writing on Hillary’s blog that when they called DNC and said that they were from Florida or Michigan and wouldn’t vote they would just hang up the phone.

The thing that made me feel pretty good over the last few days was that HBOs fundraising went down last month. YAHOO!!!

#332 Margaret on 06.27.08 at 4:36 am

Now see, that is why we puma’s need each other. I’m glad you are feeling better about it, and you just made me feel inspired as well. I need to get some ink for my printer, but as I am typing this I remembered that I can got to my library and print out some copies of the fliers. It doesn’t cost that much.
Ya know, it’s good that those guys were out there, even if it was a small group, it served it’s purpose. They got some media coverage. Also, I’m thinking that maybe seeing them out side may have helped them keep their check books closed when Nobama showed some of his true colors in that meeting.

Here’s a great link that will give you every newspaper for every state.

http://www.50states.com/news/

#333 anonymous on 06.27.08 at 4:36 am

One time I read a post on abcnews website (this was also about 2 months ago) which said: “Hillary supporters you should be d**d. And other stuff like that. It made me shiver. People who are constantly emailing me with updates in my area are writing in the emails that HBOs supporters are very angry at them, and are very dangerous. That’s why I said here on the blog and on other blogs too for people to be careful. It’s getting very scary. Brrr.

#334 anonymous on 06.27.08 at 4:39 am

Thank you. I really appreciate it. I am very excited about seeing Murphy, Mr. Bower and other people on the news. It makes me feel very good. :)

#335 Firebelle Puma on 06.27.08 at 4:45 am

Hi Anonymous,

I’ve missed all the blogging tonight, because I was out fencing with my friends. But I just skimmed the 500 or so posts I’ve missed since I left the house.

I, too, still get emails from the DNC and Obama’s campaign. But I love it. Every time they send me an email, I respond with some version of “Hell no.” I look on it as an opportunity to antagonize them a little.

#336 Margaret on 06.27.08 at 4:45 am

I know, do you know what time they are having the actual program at Unity? I saw what they put upstairs but they only said the time that the puma’s a meeting. I have a feeling Unity doesn’t know what they are in for. When John Kerry spoke here in Elyria, Ohio which is a relatively small city, the crowd was so huge that they were parking their cars on peoples lawns and practically blocking off small streets because we didn’t have enough park in our town.

#337 anonymous on 06.27.08 at 4:46 am

You know, I have been thinking abput it for the last few days, but I am just very afraid. I want to contact the writer and publisher of the new book about HBOs skeletons, and try to help them spread the word about it. I am hoping that it could help us to some degree.

#338 anonymous on 06.27.08 at 4:50 am

#335 Firebelle, I missed not seeing your posts today. I am so glad that you are back. :)

#336 Margaret, I hope that a lot of our people will show up. Hopefully a lot of people fro other groups will be there too.

#339 Firebelle Puma on 06.27.08 at 4:54 am

Anonymous, I posted a couple of things today, but mostly I tried to focus on my own projects. I get so little done if I don’t.

I’m going to disappear for a little bit again. The teddy bears won’t let me crawl into bed tonight until I’ve had a shower. But I’ll check back in a bit.

#340 Margaret on 06.27.08 at 4:55 am

Ya, I’m sure it would. I had forgotten about those books. I am so glad there are people out there who know how to gather up the information and get it put together in a way that people can see the whole picture. I get so frustrated sometimes because I am lacking so much in knowledge. I have learned so much this year about politics and how our government works, but there’s so much more I need to know.

#341 anonymous on 06.27.08 at 5:06 am

#339 Firebelle

Umm, sorry. I haven’t been here very much today either. :(

I got myself into a lot of trouble today because I woke up very late, so I’m off too.

#356 murphy on 06.27.08 at 6:59 am

Morning Folks,
Today is a new day!
There have been numerous sightings of Pumas as far east as Vermont and even New Hampshire this morning. Local officials and party leaders are scratching their heads at such an unexpected event. Pumas, also known as mountain lions, are normally reclusive and solitary creatures and have not been sighted this far east in at least 100 years.
All the cats appear to be converging on the tiny town of Unity, New Hampshire (pop. 1,765). It is unknown what sort of show of unity they plan at the gathering.
One thing is for sure though — Pumas are on the move!

Details posted — Take it upstairs!

I agree @ Murphy,
I think I also have said it in here before
the republican media is saving the artillery for the occasion, if they start informing the public before Denver, the demo. party could decide that “our HILLLARY” be the candidate
and by no means MCCAIN & the rep. party want to run against HILLARY
I am terribly sorry, but I have to fix the problem @ my e-mail before I could send my contribution, they way it is now I do not trust using credit cards
remember I told you pumas before, that I started to get e-mails from an unknown sender, and then my friends started calling and asking that what kind of e-mails were this, and those e-mails appeared all my e-mails list, and the business of this e-mails I could trace back to more or less when “our HILLARY” got off the race
“momentarily”

Good Luck to everyone that will represent us in Unity!!
This site reminds me of blogging on Senator Clinton’s site, just glad we have a place to go thanks Murphy!!
I just can’t believe *61 votes present on over 130 pieces of legislation, and voted wrong 6 times, and he’s presidential material.

BO is not very original in his speeches. He just keeps saying the same thing over and over.

#367 luckylady on 06.27.08 at 1:59 pm

We need to take our ques from Sen. Clinton’s body language.

#368 Amarissa on 06.28.08 at 12:12 am

Hi, all! I just realized that O-bum not only stole the primary but he has taken two very significant words from our language and made them his own: Hope and Change! Now everytime I hear them they remind me of him! they are even using “change” in ads because he sells so well! I am now even more disgusted by this insult of a candidate!
