You have been told you’re not needed anymore by Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, Donna Brazile, and Barack Obama if you are a member of any of these groups: the working class, the poor, the old, the sick and uninsured, immigrants, gay and lesbian people, Florida residents, union members, grandmas, Appalachians, women, rural people, small business owners, Michigan residents. Are you a member of one of these groups? I’m betting you are. You are probably a representative of SEVERAL of these groups. I am. And we’ve all been told, No thanks! We don’t need you in “our” party anymore.

Anyway, on ClintonDems they mentioned that Iowa is holding its state convention this weekend and if Edwards’ delegates were to vote for Hillary she could win the convention and have more delegates for the national convention. So, I think we should try to lobby Edwards’ Iowa delegates, as well as, Hillary’s delegates and all superdelegates.
Does anyone have reliable lists and contacts for these Iowa delegates. I’m not sure if lobbydelegates.com is working anymore. I think we should make it an action item and spread the word on other sites and anywhere else. Anyone have any more info?

Dear Hillary supporters,
We know that Hillary is going to meet with Obama and introduce her donors to him, and in return, Obama is supposed to help her settle her debt. If we helped her settle her debt, she would be less…needful of him. We already know that Bill has endorsed Obama and that Hillary will have a unity rally with Obama in Unity, NH.
I just wanted to kind of put it out there…Hillary and Obama will hug, hold hands, smile to one another…they will. They will talk about how their differences “pale in comparison to the republicans,” and she will talk about how she always promised that we would be able to take for granted either a woman or an african-american as the next president of the United States. She has said all this before.
It will now be the burden of the Clinton’s to “unify” the party. The Clinton’s will be USED, and also BLAMED for Obama’s shortcomings. Obama will continue to be unable to connect with us, and he will continue to discount us, and the burden will be on the Clinton’s. I think it’s terrible, and I know it’s political.
Unfortunately, Obama has always said that he could get our votes (and the question, he said, would be whether or not she could get HIS voters), and I am here to say that he was wrong then, and even more so now. I will NEVER vote for him, no matter what. No matter what anyone says, even Hillary and Bill. I’m sorry.
I’ve paid attention to the entire primary seaon. This is bigger than the dem party, and this is bigger than Hillary. I’ve spent countless hours supporting Hillary and lots of money, and I have been attacked for supporting her for many months. I’ve been called every name in the book a hundred times over. I’m cut deep as far as how malicious Obama’s followers were and are…and I can’t even begin to express my indignation toward the media, the dem party elites–the supers, and yes, even Barack and all his “associates.”
It’s just ALL WRONG. It’s FORCED. I am here to tell you that I love Hillary, but we need to block out the Clinton’s–they are politicians, and they are used to the jabs…well, we weren’t and we put up with HELL!!! Do not reward cruelty and injustice. Stick to you guns!

BTW, another idea we Bostonian PUMAs could do is gather outside the local Fox TV station…it’s across from the State House and they do broadcast from the street in the morning. Just something to keep in mind for spreading the word about Denver…or maybe even the Unity, NH protest, but that would have to be tomorrow.
Regarding the Unity, NH protest…it’s at noon on Friday, and the rally will be in the field next to the school. Interesting, because I thought maybe one had to get tickets, but I guess not. I will call whatever police force they have in that small town and ask how they plan to handle protesters? Will signs be allowed?
One thing is certain…if they allow pro-unity signs they have to allow PUMA signs and I will ascertain that in advance.

In the opening of the program they talked about the PUMA’s saying “they are so bitter” and still clinging to Clinton. Let’s hope Murphy and Will will set them straight. I just had a chance to watch the Pelosi interview from last night. Has that woman lost her mind? One of the first things she says about the gas/oil situation is “…the people have spoken, the members have voted…”. WHAT? You mean it matters over this but not over the “selection” of a candidate….that the PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN and WE have been totally disregarded? I can see know why so many wanted to spew last night. That woman is nuts!
I share PUMA’s concern with the leadership of the DNC; however, I have the same concerns over the leadership of the RNC – and partisanship in general.
My concerns are best illustrated by the resent usurping of the Constitution of the United States by the DNC. Apparently, I am the only one who sees the legal problems involved in the DNC denying the rights of voters to vote in Michigan and Florida. When the states pay for the primaries, those elections are protected by both the state constitutions and the Constitution of the United States. The DNC, a private corporation, has no say in the matter.
If PUMA is SERIOUS about addressing the abuses of the leader of the DNC, sue them. The only reasonable remedy here is for all of the votes to be counted.
Time is working against you if you chose to challenge the DNC leadership and have the votes in Florida and Michigan counted.

Last night, Queen and I came up with an idea for a daily growl…. Offering ourselves as a better alternative for the selected nominee. I’m no word smith, but I came up with a letter this morning while waiting for Murphy to come on TV. I’d like to run by you all for comments, suggestions or editing. It’s all tongue-in-cheek but allows us to get some digs in as to how BO was selected. Here goes.
Dear Chairman Dean,
Watching the repeated missteps of Senator Obama since he was selected as the Democratic nominee, I must admit I’ve felt somewhat embarrassed. From the constant changes in his positions, to his gaffes, to the faux presidential seal, the campaign has taken on an almost circus-like atmosphere. In light of this, I’ve decided to do the patriotic thing and offer myself as the Democratic presidential nominee.

Unlike Senator Obama, I have a proven record of successful leadership. During my twenty-four years in the Army, I was responsible for motivating large groups of people to not to hope for change, but to actually establish goals and accomplish them. I’ve traveled extensively all over the world and have a great appreciation for other cultures. Having served in war, I can appreciate the fact that our military should only be used as a last resort. The Army also provided me with extensive training in management and leadership with would likely be useful in my new position. Although I’d have to hone my diplomatic skills, I did have the opportunity to successfully serve as a liaison to both the German and Kuwaiti armies.
I’m not a particularly religious person but, if you think it expedient that I attend a church, I assure you that I will choose one that is non-controversial. Also, I do not now, nor have I ever, had any undesirable friends or acquaintances who are corrupt or do not like America.
Though it may be a bit tricky changing nominees in midstream, I’ve thought it all out. Since, under your rules, the popular vote is irrelevant, it won’t matter that no one voted for me. So, as I see it, you can convene the Rules and Bylaws Committee and have them take half of both Senator Obama’s and Senator Clinton’s elected delegates and award them to me. At, the same time, they can reinstate the other half of the Florida and Michigan delegations and give those to me as well. Again, according to the precedent set on May 31, 2008, it doesn’t matter that I was not on the ballot in any of the states, the delegates can simply be awarded to me. Of course, while the committee is having its closed door “lunch” to work all this out, party leaders will need to apply pressure on the superdelegates to switch their support to me en mass. But, the committee is already experienced in this so I’m sure it will all go off without a hitch.
In closing, I hope you will give serious consideration to my offer. I’m willing to make this sacrifice only because I want what is best for our country.

Murphy, I noticed in last nights thread your comment #151 had ADMIN above the comment rather than your name. I hope that is something you plan to continue doing, because I know when I first came to the blog, I couldn’t tell who was the actual administrator of the site.
I love the idea of each of us listing what makes us better qualified to be President than Nobama.
I have a suggestion as one of the Puma growls, I think it would send a strong message if we could flood all the pro-obama media networks with snail mail stating some thing like this..”I know you can’t reveal your sources, so would you please pass on this message for me. I will not fall in line. I am not a soar loser, I’m an angry citizen who resents my government trying to force their will on me! In this morning’s show you have addressed the PUMA movement which is protesting the Democratic Party 2008 election process. I am a member of this movement and I would like to clarify why. First, and foremost, the movement is protesting the process by which Barack Obama was “selected” and not “elected” during the primary election process. The DNC selected this candidate even before the primary election season began and actualized this selection by manipulating the rules resulting the disenfranchisement of 2.3 million people in FL and MI and by using backroom political maneuvering through the superdelegates. In addition, we have been told directly, as we sent correspondence to superdelegates and DNC members, that we should be quiet, fall in line, get over it, and that ultimately we are not needed the DNC–we are not a part of the “new coalition” that is being cultivated. This movement countered and dismissed 18 million voter’s voices. Secondly, the PUMA movement protests the lack of qualifications of the presumptive Democratic nominee. Senator Obama has spent 143 days in the US Senate, has no significant legislative accomplishments, has questionable associations, demonstrates a lack of substantive and consistent principles and policy, and has not been fully vetted as a presidential candidate. The lack of qualifications in this candidate is even more evident when it is compared to that of Senator Hillary Clinton who has spent her entire life in public service, has established herself as a senator with significant bi-partisan legislation, has an encyclopedic knowledge of all issues domestic and international, and who has clear pragmatic policies for our country. Senator Clinton also has demonstrated true leadership by connecting with millions of people and inspiring them to face the challenges in their own lives by not giving up and by becoming better people. Finally, we are astonished at the lack of substantive and principled leadership demonstrated by the DNC who allowed, and perhaps colluded with the media, in supporting the emergence of a most hateful sexist campaign during which Senator Clinton was viciously attacked. The media and the DNC leadership did nothing to counter these attacks during which the emphasis was not on her incomparable resume and leadership, but rather on sexist stereotypes.
In closing let me reiterate that our protest is NOT just based upon disappointment or “hurt” feelings regarding the outcome of the nomination process. We are protesting the deplorable manipulative tactics of the DNC, in collusion with the media, which resulted in the disenfranchisement of millions of voters and their voices and sacrificed core DNC and democratic principles for the purpose of pursuing their own agenda. These tactics ultimately hurt our country by systematically destroying the one candidate who is the best qualified for the job of President and ultimately placing both our democratic principles and our country in jeopardy. This type of backroom politics and underhanded manipulation is deplorable and unacceptable. More people should be incensed by this process, but don’t underestimate us–this movement is huge and growing.

MURPHY – OMG….fabulous job this morning on Fox&Friends. You were so calm and steady and didn’t let their pointed questions rattle you. You had an answer ready that stayed on message. Again–You Rock!
And it helped me again put in perspective what I am so angry about here–not so much the absolutely unqualified candidate, or the horrendous treatment of a fine female candidate, but that the Democratic Party has descended so low into that pool of corruption, that I hardly recognize them anymore. I know–politics is dirty, but somehow I always hoped my party was the one that rose above that.
Who am I? A southerner in a Red State that might turn Blue this November. A woman who ended up raising her kids on her own, putting herself through school, now teaching in an inner city, and someone who drives a very old car. I may not be important enough to the Dems to court–but I have a vote to cast in November. It will be a protest vote, but maybe a vote that will turn that donkey upside down in the water and wake him up.
We may need a class action suit against the DNC for their mishandling of the primary elections. If DNC allowed bullying and intimidation of voters in the caucuses, they should be held accountable. Primary voters in caucus states please speak up if you feel that your voting rights were violated! In my own family, I have seen 2 nephews try to bully their grandmother out of supporting Hillary. Fortunately, grandma is a feisty type who can hold her own in an argument.
Did anyone else get a creepy feeling from the Newsweek column by Jonathan Alter a few months ago, in which he boasted about how family members bullied his aged mother? They convinced her that she should vote their wishes rather than her own, since she was getting so old. How unkind!

The parties put on a good show and do their best to portray seperation, however, they are very much the same. Should they “attempt to unite America” or some such nonsense by growing closer or even merging, then we will know the Great American Experiment has failed.

Though I may not post every day I do perform the “action items” and today, again, I sent off my letters .
In ordinary times I would not have been a Clinton supporter. I prefer the positions of Dennis Kucinich,
Ron Paul, and Ralph Nader; HOWEVER the blatent sexism showed to Clinton took me back to the 1950′s when I was denied oportunities because of being female. Some of your supporters may not have any awareness of situations like: not being allowed to take high school courses like drafting, or being unable to find an engineering college that would accept women. Sports like basketball used to be played with different rules for women . . . no “moving” more than 2 steps,
and Ivy League and Service colleges were closed to females. Then, after surviving all this, when you finally found a profession that you were ALLOWED to participate in, you ended up with a male boss who was an absolute pig. If you complained you were told that “boys will be boys” or that you must have done something to “lead him on”.
The incidents of this campaign brought all that back to me and I identified with the symbolism of that lone woman fighting by herself and defying the odds.
Even removing slavery from the equation, it is a matter of history that Blacks have been disenfranchised. But whereas Black males were given the vote in 1864
( whether or not they could exercise that privalege is another matter ) women were not allowed to vote until 1920, following massive protests and imprisonments. Every barrier that comes down surcumbs first to a male, either white or black, long before a female is seriously considered.
When Chisholm ran for the Presidency in 1972 she acknowledged that she encountered more resistance for being female than for being Black. ( By the way I was a Chisholm supporter. ) I could’t fathom during the 1970 the number of women who themselves opposed the Women’s Rights Movement. In Fact, the Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution was originally proposed in 1913 . . . it has YET to pass.
This society doesn’t even recognize the blatent sexism that still exists: Obama telling that female reporter; ” we’ll take care of all that, sweetie”., Chris Mathews encouraging women to show cleavage during his interviews, Jay Leno with his Hillary-bashing jokes; even clothing for young girls is designed to sexualize them. Ever notice how with women’s clothing the waist starts at the hips and the cleavage drops almost to the navel?
My support for Hillary is less about support for her than it is about taking a stand against our deeply rooted
cultural sexism that Pelosi, Dean, Brazile, and other brain-dead DNC members seem totally unaware of.
It may take another full generation before the last vestiges of sexism are finally laid to rest. Hope I’m around to see it.

6 PumaAllie on 06.25.08 at 5:14 am. My vote will be “AGAINST” the Super Delegates and the DNC. If BO had ran against any “white politician,” I would have voted for BO. At this point it is all about “DEMOCRACY.” Sure the “Super Delegates” were set in place to decide any conflict, but there was no conflict during this Primary; Hillary got the popular vote. Fair is fair, BO had to be far superior to Hillary in order for me to switch my vote. Each time I heard BO and Hillary at the Debates it showed that Hillary presented herself much more knowledgeable.
Well I got to leave you for the rest of the day. Next we have to focus on “the people.” Forget the Capitol Politicians, they have their agenda set, and nothing will change their minds. Adios!

(CNN) – The same day that Bill Clinton’s office issued a statement saying that the former president is “committed to doing whatever he can” for Barack Obama, the Illinois senator told CNN that he and the Clintons will be “working closely together over the next couple of weeks to put together a plan.”
“They’re going to want to campaign actively on behalf of the Democratic ticket,” said Obama, “I am going to need them.”

With all due respect. Short of making Hillary the nominee, there is nothing the Democratic Party can do to earn my vote.
In the interests of helping mutual causes, I will refer PUMA to an incident last year.
During the immigration debate on Capitol Hill, a group of Republicans called a select few Representatives non-stop for an entire day. The phone service for the entire complex was effectively disrupted.
This may be a good strategy for PUMA as well. You might be able to wake Pelosi up by calling her office repeatedly – leave a simple message like “We are disgruntled!”. Calling the DNC HQ with a simple message such as “Count the Votes!” might wake them up as well.
Of course, you will need dedicated people to do this all day… and the right phone numbers as well.

Anyway! I called the sheriff’s office in Unity, regarding the rally this Friday and got an answering machine.
I wanted to know in advance that we’d be allowed to carry signs or not.
I really think as many as possible should try to go…and I disagree with the PUMA who thinks we need 100 people to make an impact. The media will seek out anyone with PUMA signs, believe it. Anyone not working on Friday and spending over $4/ gallon to drive to some remote location translates to a lot of people still passionate about this election and they all know it!

The news of Obama’s camp, “magnanimously” offering to remove $10 million of Hillary’s debt is being played so snarkily today in the media. They have managed to minimize the enormous achievement of Hillary Clinton and her enormous base of support by repeatedly pointing out her campaign debts. I’m hearing between the lines–and overtly–that BO’s people may not care to help out—this is a gesture that is supposed to make him look good.
So her debt is reduced if she provides him a plate of fawning supporters from her side??? Because he’s made it clear his people don’t care for her and may not want to pay her bills.
Look, I’ve given her camp lots of my hard-earned money–just gave some yesterday. And the flowers I will pay for today are from my heart. I really resent the spin the media is giving this “kindness” from BO. She has to smile though her heart is breaking and accept this, because debt is debt, and money is money.
I don’t want her to be grateful to him–ever. He is not worthy.
Another example of our funny money at work. $100 million for security! We wouldn’t need to spend this money with a one day primary for each party held on same day like election (would eliminate people crossing over and skewing the votes!) winner take all, then a one day GE.

Because the Republican and Democratic national conventions are deemed national special security events, federal funds are provided for security, and the expenditures are approved by the Department of Justice. It’s BEAUTIFULLY worded, and righteous, and what are PUMAs even thinking not signing on? We want the votes counted and the delegates seated, and Hillary a part of the convention process, of course!
And of course the swine are not going to do it. But we have to have a moral high ground to demand, a basic level of democracy and respect to demand, and this is it.
That’s the entire point! We want the votes counted and the process to play out. They CAN’T do that because Barack would LOSE. But that is what we “want” — it’s ridiculous, because it should go without saying that these basics of decency and democracy should be met!

My Conclusion: That means they had it *was* in their power to seat all Florida delegation! It means that Howard Dean and/or the DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee did not have to penalize Florida at all! It means that on May 31st they could have given Florida *back* its full 215 Delegate seats and awarded each candidate what they truly earned. It means, that once again the DNC has lied to us!

Though I am no expert, the biggest problem with regards to the DNC remains that they are a private organization. There are no checks and balances and they do not answer to a higher power or government agency. Though they talk about the “rules” the fact remains that with no accountability they can change the rules and we have no recourse.
For instance, class action suits would be thrown out. voter fraud or misrepresentation does not “count” in the primary process. effectively the primary process is seen as a beauty pageant with the only goal to get a nominee. it’s not until you get to the general that there is any legal oversight.
I hope this has been helpful. I’m sure it has been frustrating. so the simple fact remains that the recourse we have at this point is to not vote for their candidate and hope they get the messege and change their ways.

Stardust, the more this story unravels, the curiouser it gets! I’m convinced there’s something fishy going on with circumstances around his birth. I do graphics design as a hobby and I can tell you, that certificate his campaign presented is fabricated…it doesn’t take a genius to see the glaring mistakes on that thing. NoQuarter has a video clip of Ann’s friend talking about her visit with Barak jr to Seattle weeks after his birth….take note of the diaper comment. Strange, really strange.

OK!! I finally got through to the sheriff’s office in Unity!
There will be a secure area…no vehicles allowed. So people will actually have to walk into Unity. The roads have broad shoulders and they have no plans to ticket people, so it is legal to park along the road beyond the secure area.
For people who can’t walk, there will be shuttle buses from two areas (so far): Mt. Sunapee Ski resort and Claremont Speedway.
There is a website (probably Obama’s) which says NO SIGNS ALLOWED.

I just saw your interview on FOX News. You did an outstanding job representing us and our goals. The reporter sounded amazed that we would actually go against the DP. Many PUMAS have stated this before, this is bigger than any candidate or a party. It is about right and wrong, and a nomination process that is corrupt.
Another PUMA made a comment that *61′s side is so certain that he will win in November. In my judgment, the only way for that to happen is for “dirty tricks” campaigning taking place on a wide scale as it did in 1972. There was that link that the DP wanted to register non-violent felons in VA. That is one state that *61 is hoping to win. There was the story in LA where dead people and pets were being registered.
I believe this ACORN group is part of his GOTV drive. *61 worked for them organizing and training their leadership and being part of a legal team that represented them in a “motor-voter” case. The bigger question is did *61 direct millions of dollars to ACORN when he sat on non-profit boards?
We need to continue to drive up the negatives of *61 and to follow the money.

Bring signs anyway. If there are OBAMA signs, it’s illegal to discriminate against other signs.
Get an old bedsheet or pillowcase and paint your sign on that (can be folded and carried or spread out between two people)
Wear a plain tee and paint your sign on that.
Wear a cap with a PUMA logo
Maybe we could get some face markers and make a PUMA paw print on our cheeks.
Make “buttons” out of cardboard circles and pin our messages to our shirts.

guys I was on McCain’s site late last night. A young black woman from the south was on there and she was truly frightened. She said most of the people in her state (didn’t specify which one) wanted to vote for Huckabee. Bo ran a huge voter sign up campaign and made people feel special. BO won hands down. Now they are back down there. Running another sign up to vote. She says not to count on the south for McCain. The kool aid has set in. She is afraid to even say anything anymore. Which is why she was on McCain’s blog trying to get some help. We are going to have to really try to get workers in these areas with flyers or something. She said most don’t have computers in her area and think BO great for spending time with them, even in a surrogate fashion. She thinks from what she has heard the south will be all BO (I’ve heard others say on there they are afraid of what will happen if BO is not elected in certain states) Maybe we need to make sure some ads get placed in southern newspapers. Issues such as flip flops and higher taxes need to be addressed, as well as many others. These are hard working people, most of whom don’t have time to spend scouring the issues, but they are getting the talk by BO’s people. JMO

WOW! I am blown away by your interview. I think it goes a VERY long way in showing the people of America that we are not the people that the DNC makes us out to be. Your words were very clear, concise, and to the point. You never showed any anger in your voice and you spoke very very intelligently (That’s not to say that’s not how you normally were! It’s a website that is starting a birthday party for Hillary on Oct. 26th. They are asking that Hillary supporters in all states gather together and do some kind of charity for an hour and then meet up at a selected location for cake and celebrate Hillary’s birthday and her effort on our behalf during this Primary season. This GOTV drive by *61′s supporters is very well organized. My guess is ACORN is a big part of it. It might be the downfall of *61 because he directed millions of dollars to this group while sitting on charitable boards. Articles about this have been written in the National Review.
To unravel the corruption in his campaign will take time. Voting for any candidate based on fear is a losing proposition.
One way to reach the media is writing the ombudsman for each news organization. Each ombudsman represents the viewer or reader and is a good way to protest the media bias in the Democratic primary process.

Obama’s representative Carolyn Sauvage-Mar on Tuesday received a gold-plated two-feet-high idol which she will pass it on to the Obama after it is sanctified.

It is very unacceptable that the DNC had already been using the 50 state strategy to endorse Sen. Obama way before the elections were over. The so called “secret weapon” the bloggers on he site kept referring to. It is obvious that you, the DNC, and others were strongly pushing Obama on us, because you had previously “selected” the candidate you wanted. Well, we intend to prove to you that our votes do count, that you work for us, and that we will not sit back and let you tell us what to do or who to vote for. It is shameful the way Sen. Clinton was treated and unfortunately, that is a mistake this country will feel the consequences of for the next four years. How foolish of you all to throw away the one real chance we had to finally elect another Democratic President. We have only had three in the past 40 years, and two of those terms were served by President Bill Clinton. We see your intent to create a “permanent” democratic party, as Howard Dean suggested in his speech to the Liberal Leaders of Canada. Even though I am a Democrat, I would fear anyone trying to get total and permanent power over my great country. The influence of checks and balance is a necessary part of how our democracy works. You, the DNC and other current leaders are only seeking to gain power, not to serve. Sen. Clinton has been an amazing “public servant” her entire life, and has the potential to be one of the greatest, if not the greatest, President in American history. Why don’t you get out of the way, and let her start the process of mending our nation? We will remember in November, and Hillary’s supporters will not fall in line! I am “One of 18 million” who are determined to prevent another disastrous election like this and the last two from ever happening again. By 2012, you will know your place!

Unless you live in one of the two states involved, no. I also don’t believe a class action suit would be possible in those states.
A Constitutional matter would be prosecutable only by the states themselves or by the federal government.
What has transpired in Michigan and Florida is of such a gross nature, there may not be a specific crime for it. I mentioned usurping the Constitution as a general term. Any actual crime would have to be expressed much more clearly than specifically.
I fear this may be the a significant loophole which needs to be closed before any prosecutions can be made. In other words, there may not be anything which can be done this time around.
Clearly, the 15th Amendment was violated in both Florida and Michigan. The question is, will either Attorney General step and take on such a case?

I try to read between the lines. She HAS to support noname and HAS to pay off her debt. Her communications to her supporters are always sprinkled with wording that suggest she is still fighting for us…and I take her at her word. Murphy is cooperating with our group, and all I can say is they have my mouth duct taped, but that you will feel the effect of our group between now and August, and then until November. We are looking for soldiers for Hillary, against Obama, and soldiers who would help elect McCain if that becomes necessary. All three premises are required by our group members, no other options are accepted.

You know I love the symbolism of donating on the 4th for financial independence, however June 30th is the cut off date for June numbers. Her viability as a candidate will be communicated by how strong her June numbers are. (That’s why she’s sending out these fundraising letters now…she’s trying to get her June numbers up.)
If you were going to donate on July 4th, I’d recommend donating at least half in June, then donating the rest on the 4th. If she can come out of June raising a huge amount of money that will scare the beejeesus out of BO and the DNC. Won’t that be fun?

Yes, indeed it will be a controlled event and I am sure they will be busing in the Obama faithful EARLY, earlier than those 10 am buses for the rest of us.
And no….they probably don’t have sidewalks outside of the town proper. This is a tiny town which still has dirt roads. There is only ONE road in and out of town! The sheriff’s office told me the shoulders are wide and we can park along that road but the “secure” area (the town part) won’t allow any vehicles in. Some people are older or impaired and can’t walk…when I went to NH to campaign for Edwards I brought someone who couldn’t walk any distance at all. That is why I got the tickets plus plan to park near town…I want to cover all possibilities.
It’s also why I have been trying to get the cooperation of the police and/or sheriff’s office ahead of time. So that the NONAME campaign won’t be the only ones setting the agenda. I want the police on notice that if there are Obama signs we can ALSO have signs.
Chances are I’ll be kicked out of the rally at some point, depending on how much control the Obama campaign has. And I’m sure they and SECRET SERVICE will have all the control. The poor sheriff’s office is completely overwhelmed.

Your interview with Mrs. Pelosi only confirmed what I had known in my heart for a while now. I am a Democrat in exile who will vote for Senator John McCain in the fall. I feel compelled to put my country ahead of party. Mrs. Pelosi was pathetic. I was so shocked when the question of experience came up and her reply was basically that their nominee does not have any and that this somehow is a good thing! I could not believe my ears! And, I have to say, I’ve never seen her twitch as much before (although my husband would disagree) specially when you asked her about her candidate’s judgement. Please don’t take this as a personal attack on Mrs. Pelosi, but rather as a viewer’s take on her body language that clearly showed how uneasy she was with your line of questioning.

I am disabled; have many physical conditions that hinder my ability to get around and even type. So, as the PUMA family has grown (hurray) the posts have grown and, by the time I work my way through them I can’t do any more at the computer. Plus, I really want to see John Kerry out … and from what I see, I sincerely like Ed O’Reilly in MA…so I have contributed to that. Oh, not to mention a couple of rallies and Denver.

I want to remind everyone that the Iowa convention is being held this weekend and someone on another site suggested that we could lobby Edwards’s pledged delegates to support Hillary, as well as, remind Hillary’s delegates and undecided SD’s to support her. If we have a strong lobbying effort on our part it could make a difference and strengthen Hillary’s position at the convention and show the tide is turning for her.

I thought it was too late for today, but she said that my order came in just a few minutes after the cut off and will be included. OMG!!! So, I just checked my email and I received an email from the DNC requesting me to sign up for a local “unity event” to show our support for BHO. Apparently, it is Unite for Change Day, or something like that. UNBELIEVABLE! I can’t tell you how many times I have tried to “unsubscribe.” Do they really know how much they are p*****g me off!!!! THE AUDACITY OF IT ALL!!!!
Thanks for letting me vent. Now that that’s out of my system, I think it would be a great Action for us to all commit to handing out/posting/emailing at least 50 flyers for our cause on Saturday – same day as their “UFC” events.

There was no action item on the local flier send. I just did it on my own. But its an idea for people to follow up on. It’s quite simple. I went to the Huffington Post address and got the local Hillary donor’s addresses. Then I went to the FEC and wrote down names in my area who donated (no addresses). For those without addresses I went to the library and ask for the Polk City Directory. Between the three searches, I came up with about 30 country donors. Out of 30, I still have one address to hunt down. The next filing date is June 30, I think. Some more donors names should appear and I’ll do the same thing over again. Since these people are locals, I had my name and address on the return space of the envelope. If they want to contact me, I’m in the telephone book. It took about four hours to do the list. The HuffPost even tells what their employment or non-employment is so one can send to businesses.

Why is it that the DNC tries to use the issue of pro – choice as the only reason we would never vote for McCain (even though he has sided with it in the past,so it’s just another mute point from them). This is not the only thing that concerns women. There are many things that women are concerned about. Equal pay, same rights as a man when applying for job/promotion, Health care, Education, economy … and the list goes on and on. Playing this card as the only issue that would concern women I believe is very sexist.

Nader’s going to catch a lot of flack for saying it, but it’s true. That speech Obama gave on race was all about making whites feel guilty for the causes of Reverend Wright’s behavior.
My own best friend told me we should vote for Obama because “we owed it to black people”. When I disagreed, she called me a racist. I’ve known this woman since we met in the Army in 1989 and she knows I’m no racist, but she can’t seem to think rationally when it comes to Obama. I think it’s sad.

I read that creepy article about Karl Rove and the Rep’s involvement with the BO campaign (the link is above, i forgot the post #) and forwarded it to other people. I think many of the assumptions are not off track, but in order for things to be convincing there should be concrete evidence to back these conclusions. I hope people keep digging and that they find these links soon. Once these links are established we should start pressuring MSM to report all these facts.
I don’t watch MSNBC, FOX, or CNN anymore, so thanks to everyone who keeps the rest of us posted. Because i don’t watch them the whole HC “campaigning” with BO issue hasn’t affected me too much. I truly believe HC is a smart woman and that she knows what she is doing. Keep in mind, and this is important, that HC HAS NOT RELEASED HER DELEGATES. Anything can happen between now and the convention in August. Maybe BO is proven to be unconstitutionally qualified to be pres. (because of citizenship status) or something else might emerge about him that makes him even more unpalatable to delegates. Who knows. I still envision seeing HC take the oath of office in 2009.

That’s pretty illogical thinking. What matters are policies. HC’s health care plan would have helped many working people across the board. BO’s plan was pretty much what the Republicans proposed until polls showed that people preferred HC’s health care plan.
That’s why I think we should start focusing on BO’s lack of real substance, his ties to big money, bribery charges against the BO campaign, DNC’s undemocratic stance, etc… By the end of the primaries people had started to listen to HC about BO’s lack of substance. If people tell you that BO is a real change for America, ask them how that is the case. It’s very sad. Remember in 2000 when Joe Lieberman was Al Gore’s running mate they wrote all sorts of things about him. He is Jewish, so there were many articles about that. There were articles that he goes to synangogue with his family every week, then there were articles about how he would vote if he had to on Saturday since he doesn’t write on Saturday, and in all of the articles they wrote that he was lucky that in the Senate you have to push a button to vote. It was really sad. I guess it’s just the way our world is today.

Rev Wright never planned to retire, that was just a primary race ploy in case he got too much attention. When the news was reporting that Rev Wright was already retired, he was actually saying he would retire in June (after the primaries ended). As soon as BO was selected, Rev Wright announced that he was not going to retire after all Did you hear the threats he made to BO in his Press Club speech when he thought the campaign was painting him as too bitter and too old. In other words, this whole retirement thing was designed to get the clueless press to move off the Rev Wright story.

Obama really scares me because of his 20 years as a DISCIPLE of Black Liberation Theology (BLT). To me, BLT is as close to a CULT as the Mormon Religion. At least the Mormons teach tolerance and family values for ALL peoples.
Every time I read more about BLT, I keep seeing a black Jim Jones as the leader, and cherry koolaid on the menu.
In case anyone hasn’t done any research on BLT, wikipedia gives a VERY watered down definition of it that most people can at least read without going into shock.

He something to the affect that there are some places in the world that would be offended by that because it is a simple of oppression. One of the requirements for membership to his church is that they had to be unequivocally committed to the mother land, Africa. His church is also one that believes that we owe them for the 400 years of slavery and they want us to give them their own country within our country. I’ve gotten the same impression watching McCaskill around Obama. I think she has a huge crush on him. When I heard the event was in Unity and each candidate received exactly 107 votes, I wondered if there would be an announcement that Hillary had accepted the VP position on the ticket.

And it looks like Obama’s Primary Bump has ended. About two months before it should have, historically. Make no mistake, by August, McCain will be leading him and the DNC Elites are scared poopless.

When the Newsweek poll was released last weekend, the Obamites were beside themselves with that 15% lead. You would have thought it was November already. The Newsweek poll was taken from LESS than 600 voters. The Gallup and Rasmussen daily s take NO LESS than 2500 respondents.

Agreed about retiring the debt. And I do know that many of the coalition websites have links that take you directly to Sen Clinton’s website to make donations toward that effort, our Action Center included.
I also received another email today from Sen Clinton asking us to help do just that. I really, really believe that she wants us to get her out from under that mess so that she can move on and not have to have BO try to pay it down for her, hence breaking the strings that bind her to him.

Dear Mr. Hannity and especially Mr. Colmes,
I would like to make a few points. I don’t watch TV news anymore because of the shameful media bias, but if I did I would choose Fox News.
I understand that Mr. Colmes aligns with the Democratic policies. I have watched Mr. Colmes try to argue vehemently for BO on policy issues. Under normal circumstances, I would agree with an approach that supports the Democratic hopeful by presenting logical and reasoned arguments based on policy. However, this is no normal election and these are anything but normal times.
Please try to understand this. BO is doing everything in his power to destroy this country. The evidence for this charge is bountiful. He himself demonstrates this almost daily. I urge you to do your own research with an open mind – you will surely come to the same conclusion. There is no dearth of evidence.
BO and his supporters actively suppress freedom of speech today. Not “they are going to suppress freedom of speech” – it is happening today and every day. U.S. citizens are afraid to express their support for Hillary Clinton in public. Many of those who do have had their property vandalized and/or have had to endure threats of violence against their person and against their friends and families. These are well documented facts.
I have seen a journalist actually alter the words of a campaign speech to cover a blatant gaffe made by BO. This is a documented fact and it cannot be denied.
These events signal danger. They are an early warning system that MUST be heeded if we are going to preserve this country and the principles upon which it was founded. This country is being attacked from within and the time to act is now.
My request to you and your news organization is this.
Please stop buying the propaganda that is delivered daily by the BO campaign. Do your own research. You have resources that are not available to many of us. Follow the money and follow the power.
Gather all of the facts and consider them not individually but take them as a whole. Paint the entire picture and then examine it.
Report your findings truthfully, as an ethical news organization must. I have no doubt that your conclusion will be that this candidate is not good for America and that he must be stopped.
Finally, here is a message to the rich and powerful who are aiding BO. Ask yourselves this question: do I believe that BO will keep his promises to me once he gets what he wants? Answer yourself truthfully.

Instead from what I’ve read everytime Obama has a topic he wishes to avoid or protect reporters and bloggers write, “there’s another topic for Obama’s off limits” list. However, I did celebrate my birthday by writing the following email to FOX & Friends in response to the interview that Murphy gave this morning. Enjoy …

Thank you for the FOX & Friends interview you did this morning with Darragh Murphy of PUMA.
My purpose for writing today is to make some points that Mrs. Murphy didn’t have time to make in that brief interview. Many of us joined PUMA and are actively working to defeat Barack Obama for reasons above and beyond those that Mrs. Murphy cited.
Not only does Senator Obama lack the experience to be President, he doesn’t understand the whole concept of creating measurable results. Throughout the primary process, when Senator Obama was asked about the accomplishments that qualified him to be President, he sidestepped the question. Sometimes he talked about being a community organizer in Chicago. But holding a title doesn’t tell me what results he created and how it benefitted the people he served. More often, however, he answered the question by criticizing Senator Clinton. How does trash-talking his opponent qualify him to be President?
Once upon a time I considered voting for Senator Obama if Senator Clinton asked us to. Two things changed my mind, however.
The first was the Reverend Wright story. It’s not reasonable to believe that Senator Obama attended that church for 20 years without embracing the hateful, poisonous attitude of Reverend Wright. And when I see the vile, hateful things Senator Obama’s supporters post on the blogs, it reinforces my belief that Senator Obama inspires evil, not good, in people. I think he’s too dangerous of an influence to have as President.
The second factor was seeing how dismissive Senator Obama is. Refusing to do additional debates with Senator Clinton when voters still wanted to hear those debates was dismissive of Senator Clinton and voters everywhere. Refusing to insist that all votes be counted in full in Florida and Michigan was dismissive of voters in all 50 states. Refusing to agree to weekly town hall meetings with Senator McCain is dismissive of Americans who are entitled to hear the candidates debate the issues. Even refusing to accompany Senator McCain to Iraq to see firsthand the conditions there is dismissive.
We’ve had eight years of a President who is dismissive of everyone and everything that doesn’t serve his immediate interests. We don’t need more of the same.
Senator Obama’s stated policies are more closely aligned with my beliefs than are Senator McCain’s. Unfortunately, however, I cannot trust Senator Obama’s stated polices. I’ve seen with my own eyes that he is not a man of his word. How many times, for example, has Senator Obama said, “I welcome that debate with John McCain”? And yet he refuses to agree to weekly town hall meetings. That tells me that Senator Obama is a pathological liar.
How many times has Senator Obama insisted he’s someone who will reach across the aisle and work in a bipartisan manner? He won’t even reach across his campaign platform to have public conversations with John McCain. So much for reaching across the aisle. So much for transparency in government. If Senator Obama is not willing to cooperate with John McCain now, there’s no way he’ll do so if he becomes President.
Many people say that Senator Obama is a great orator. Sure, if he’s reading the scripted words of his speech writers and talking from a teleprompter, he’s impressive. But without those crutches, he mangles everything that comes out of his mouth. How can we expect other world leaders to have any respect for a man whose sentences are so heavily punctuated with “ums” and “uhs” that people can’t stand listening to him?
Unless by some miracle Senator Clinton is voted the Democratic nominee at the Denver convention, I will vote for John McCain in November to keep Senator Obama out of the White House. It’s not a happy choice, but it’s the only appropriate one. I can’t in good conscience vote for a man of such bad character as I’ve seen in Senator Obama.

The case stems from an incident August 20 at a military base in Taji, just north of Baghdad, when West was interrogating an Iraqi policeman, who was believed to have information about a plot to assassinate West with an ambush on a U.S. convoy.
In testimony at an Article 32 hearing — the military’s version of a grand jury or preliminary hearing — West said the policeman, Yahya Jhrodi Hamoody, was not cooperating with interrogators, so he watched four of his soldiers from the 220th Field Artillery Battalion beat the detainee on the head and body.
West said he also threatened to kill Hamoody. Military prosecutors say West followed up on that threat by taking the suspect outside, put him on the ground near a weapons clearing barrel and fired his 9 mm pistol into the barrel.
Apparently not knowing where West’s gun was aimed, Hamoody cracked and gave information about the planned ambush on West’s convoy, thwarting the attack.
West said there were no further ambushes on U.S. forces in Taji until he was relieved of his leadership post on October 4.
“I know the method I used was not right, but I wanted to take care of my soldiers,” West testified to a military courtroom of observers and some teary-eyed troops formerly under his command.
Asked if he would have act differently if under similar circumstances again, West testified, “If it’s about the lives of my soldiers at stake, I’d go through hell with a gasoline can.”
Puckett argued that because West is always accompanied by U.S. troops that he acted to save American lives.
But while West’s supporters call him a hero, military prosecutors said his actions amounted to torture and violated articles 128 and 134 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

This link below is to a feature story that appeared in our San Francisco paper this past Sunday (June 22)… The S.F. Chronicle is pretty much the major newspaper in the S.F. Bay Area and northern California. The article focuses on women… It doesn’t mention PUMA nor the ‘Just Say No Deal’ coalition, but it does touch on the Dem party injustices, the media sexism/bias as well as the fact that many Hillary supporters are vowing to NOT vote for BO in Nov. It may not make as full or ‘pure’ a case for our cause as I’d hoped, but at least it’s something in a major paper.

ABC News just did a piece on the Unity appearance Friday. Ed Rendell, my governor (PA), said Hillary Clinton “is going to deliver a stern message to her supporters telling them to ‘get over it’, move forward, and throw all their support behind Barack Obama.”

ABC News’ Karen Travers Reports: Addressing the question of whether sexism played a significant role in Sen. Hillary Clinton’s failure to win the Democratic nomination, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi wouldn’t say it was responsible for her defeat but acknowledged that sexism is “a given.”
“Is there sexism? Probably so. Is it responsible for the defeat? I really wouldn’t have the scientific knowledge, all of the information to know that,” the Speaker said. “My impression is, ‘Yes there was sexism.’ My knowledge is, ‘Yes there is sexism because there has been.’
“I’m the victim of sexism myself, but I think it goes with the territory. I don’t sit around to say but for that, but for that.”
Speaker Pelosi said that Clinton benefited from being a woman with the strong support she received from women voters and that perhaps she takes another shot at the White House.
“[W]omen are wildly enthusiastic about her candidacy. Not just a woman but this woman, this talent, this intellect, stamina,” she said. “I think her candidacy was a bright bright moment for us and she may run again.”
The reason that the approval ratings for Congress are at an all-time low is because the legislative branch has not ended the war in Iraq, Speaker Pelosi said Tuesday.
In a breakfast with reporters in Washington, D.C. Pelosi noted that the two main issues related to Congress’ low approval ratings are the war in Iraq and rising energy costs and said that it is Democrats who are the most “down on Congress.”

This does not surprise me. She has competition now. That competition is Murphy! Awesome job with the interview. Murphy, the host had a surprised look on her face through out the interview. Perplexed is a better word. I don’t know if you had met her before the taping, but I think she was expecting someone who looked:
1. bitter—-you looked beautiful and confident.
2. uneducated—your knowledge was detailed and your responses reflected that.
3. close minded and vengent—your responses were precise and gave our group the meaning of “openness” in the challenge that this Democratic Party today is divided.
You left me and the viewer with a precise definition of the reality. Hillary and others were the victims of the DNC and it was the DNC that orchestrated the divisivness. Again, Murphy, pat yourself on the back. You made us ALL proud. I know I am.

I was out of town visiting a friend who unfortunately is reading BO’s sob story and drinking the KoolAid. I have to respect her decision, but don’t agree. Fortunately I met a neighbor of her’s who is ready to join us. I emailed our info as soon as I got home. I’m upset that I missed sending the flowers. Can I still send? I’m also catching up on the growls I missed. My son and I both just put flip flops in Priority Mail envelops. LOL
If we can’t get the Dems to pay attention to us is there any chance we can form our own party for future elections? Just a thought. I’ve always thought there should be at least three parties.

I have done a lot of reading about the race issues that have come up during this campaign. It started with his church. http://www.tucc.org They base their beliefs on the black theology. They honored Farrakhan, who teaches that whites are the enemy, and he practically endorsed Nobama. Read his newsletter “The Trumpeter” if you really want to get scared. The fist thump they do is from the Black Panther movement. The Rev. Ottis who supposedly replaced Rev. Wright gave a speech for the Congressional Black Caucus which you will find on the DNC website, and of which Sen. Nobama is a member. So much for Nobama denouncing his church. He didn’t throw them under the bus. He just did a switch-a-roo. I am not and never have been racist, but I have always said, “If they truly want to be equal with all other people, then they should stop telling us that they are black.” Now, consider his reference to this new movement, and comparing himself to JFK and Dr. King and “They said this day would never come.” Now he has a section on his website especially for children. 8, 9 and 10 year old kids, and younger I guess. He is telling them to convince their parents to vote for him and has instructions on how to throw a party to make campaign signs, etc. To me, this is the real reason we can not let this man get the most powerful position in American government. Watch this video of gospel singer Bobby Jones in a brief interview at the Black Entertainment Network awards last night in which he refers to us as the enemy and agrees with Rev.Wright.

So, I was taking a break from work and went out for a walk on our lovely Seattle waterfront when I noticed a bunch of brightly colored flyers attached to the light posts. I read one, and my stomach turned! They are for a “grassroots” organization seeking volunteers to help them out this summer (for you know who!). Anyway, here is their website. I took as many of the information parts attached to the bottoms of the flyers as I could without looking too suspicious. When I got to where I was about to cross the street to go back up to Pike Place Market, two people were standing there soliciting people to talk to them about the DNC. Not many people were stopping, because the locals are just on their lunch hour and the tourists really have no interest. I stopped when one of them asked if I had a minute to talk about the DNC. Ha! He asked if I would be interested in donating to the DNC this year. I asked him if he would be interested in telling me why I should. He said that the DNC has a great nominee for president, blah, blah, blah. So, I asked him what his great nominee’s legislative accomplishments were to date that made him such a great nominee. At this point, he started to sputter and backpeddle, and said something to the effect that it was all over the news. I enlightened him on my opinion of the media and stated that I believed that the DNC, Obama’s supporters and the media have divided the party and that I would never support such a divisive candidate, at which point, he started to turn purple.
He started to say that “we” [Hillary supporters] were always trying to blame the media for what happened to Hillary, and that the media was fair and unbiased and reported only what the “people” wanted to hear. I told him that when he grows up (he’s probably half my age), he’ll better understand the situation. I wished him luck in November and told him I’m a PUMA Democrat. On the way back to the office there was another one. He started to ask me if I had a minute . . . I said proudly and loudly, “I’m a PUMA Democrat.” Now, I don’t know if it was me, but he seemed to know exactly what that meant, as he backed away and waved me on. 
They know of us and know we are out there . . .
Too late to get confirmation, but the most updated info says VA and MA made it on the truck for this afternoon’s delivery.

I agree with Taffy. Let the NoName supporters spin their wheels with ugly remarks. I just ignore them and continue on with my “quiet silent roar” and email editors, senators, delegates, tv and radio stations, etc.
We are obviously making them very nervous. Which makes me happy.

Watching Nancy Pelosi’s interview last night on Greta, my impression is that the DNC knows they screwed up nominating BO and are trying to convince us that his lack of experience is a positive thing. Pelosi and most democrats have no clue how many people are not going to fall in line as we have in the past. My feeling also is that she must not think very much of herself as a woman to just have ignored and minimized that sexism existed during the campaign. She is a very weak politician in my opinion! Greta on the other hand was tough!!

Regarding upthread reports saying that Hillary will tell us to drop this and get in line and support the Party. This is my take on that: If you respect, admire, and believe a person, that does not mean you don’t expect them to be “perfect” or make “mistakes.” I am ready to hear those “word of unity” from Hillary. I will respect what she is saying and why. Friends don’t let other friends drive drunk…correct. You don’t let them drive because they insist in driving. You don’t let them drive and say things in that state because you love and respect them. There comes a time when a person’s actions are not guided by the person. Those are the things we must stay vigilant on as far as Hillary’s future words and actions. We have just started the second scene of a VERY LONG play.

I hope to get some of our flyers up there as well, though I know if they are there canvassing, they will probably just take them down. I will see if they are there through the end of the week. We need to take note of the fact that on their website they talk about increased efforts in “key swing states.” I think our PUMA community and especially those in those states need to do what they can to counter-act some of their actions. We can all write to letters of the editor, in particular newspapers, but we will need to know which ones. Taking out ads in those states will help as well, both newspaper and TV, if possible.

The Puma pac is here to protest this election because of the way the DNP decided to ignore the will of the voters, deny states their right to have a say in the choice of a candidate.
