To update anyone just checking in: We are sending flowers to welcome Hillary back to the Senate. We would like each state to be represented. I sometimes wonder why HRC’s debt isn’t paid off. With millions in the coalition, you would think the debt would be paid off quickly. I just gave 25.00, but I went directly to HRC site. I hadn’t realized there was a link from PUMA.
I also think, it would be easier to get more than a few thousand names on the petitions with millions in the coalition. Any ideas why this isn’t happening?

I also emailed JustSayNoDeal because that’s the onky way for you to post something on their blog. That could get press attention and remind her of how many people support her as the nominee this year. 1) anytime a candidate suspends (especially forced out of the race, I think, it takes a while for people to determine exactly what it means
2) the shock, anger and disappointment are so great that many supporters are just dazed and her support fell sharply.
3) She had been so pounded to get out of the race in January, by the Obama camp, the DNC, and the mainstream media that they all really did a number on her fundraising with all of the dooms-day “it’s over” propaganda.
She deserves this – she didn’t give up and she stayed in for us – and “why” she stayed in was valid – she was winning the popular vote and the delegates should have supported that!
It was all about Obama’s $$$ on-line money machine and the DNC chose to ride that rather than respect the the will of the Voters.

#58 pumaindy… It is absolutely CERTAIN that no money sent to Hillary Clinton can be diverted to Obama. It is against the fundraising laws.
They cannot contribute more than 1000.00 to each others’ campaigns – because each supporter’s money is donated for their specific candidate and it would be a fraudulant practice. Donors/Supporters contributions can only be used for the intended purpose – the candidate the donor/supporter donated to.
That is why this is such a difficult situation HRC is in. Only special fundraising events – designated as such – can be held by one candidate for another – so that donor’s/supporters intentied use of funds for their support is known prior to the donation.
Obama and his supporters do not want their donor’s money going to HRC, because he is now raising funds for his General Election Fund.
Each candidate only had through midnight of last primary to allocate donations for the Primary period.

Yeah, I agree with you and am conflicted about that myself. I keep hanging my hat though on the many posts that remind us that Hillary suspended, not conceded and that she supports, not endorses BO.
There is still a convention in Denver. The votes have not yet been cast. There is still a chance, even if it is small that Hillary could still be the nominee. Isn’t this right?

there is still a chance albeit a small one so don’t give up hope. I’m pretty sure she said in her speech that she does endorse BO. however, she did say suspend not concede so that is a good thing.
ABSOLUTLY! EVERY CENT DONATED TO HER GOES TO RETIRE HER DEBT.
Finally, Hillary allocated 32 million to her general election fund (which is allowed) because the damn game that was being played by Obama’s camp was about his reservoir of internet donors and she was trying to stay competitive with her general election fund for garnering support from the super delegates and the DNC.
Obama didn’t allocate but approx 18 million to his GE fund during the primary season (because he believed everyone would jump up our as…s to bow to him and donate $$$$ once he got Hillary out of the way.)
Now, it isn’t looking so good and he is not willing to focus any attention on Hillary’s campaign.
They cannot use General Election Funds for debt retirement without special permission, from some agency and donors. (NOTE: if something happens that BO doen’t in fact get the nomination, Hillary has a GE Fund and could re-launch her campaign with those GE funds)

I was taught by my family that I am stupid, and don’t know what I am doing. My mom told me many times that since I slacked through high school if I will be able to get 2.0 GPA and got to State University, I will be lucky. I proved her, my sister and everybody else wrong by transfering with a 3.5 GPA. YAHOO! That made me feel good.
That’s why I am really excited to follow Hillary. I am the youngest in my family and I believe just like my sister that majority of the stuff which I say on many important issues such as where my nephew should go to college is a “baby talk”. I am sorry, but that’s how I am.

Good video. Sounds like some people are waking up.
I think it a very cleverl concieved idea of the BHO campaign to pick “Unity, New Hampshire” to have their first joint fund raiser and for the following reasons.
The one they give is because both candidates got 107 votes each. That means that the town of Unity only has 214 citizens who participated in the primary there.
It also means that it will probably be a small fundraiser… for BHO to test the waters so to speak… to see how well Hillary does… to see if she brings him in the cash… to see if her supporters show up in favor of unifying the party or to protest against it.
And on her part, if she is to recieve any monies for her helping him… she will have some funds to pay down her debt which is a good thing. But on the flip side, he is being overly cautious I think and making sure that this is a real small event so as not to have to pay her too much.
So the way I take this Unity Event, is this:
It’s a TEST.
And I detest people who have to test you in order for them to work with you or believe in you. It tells me that he does not really trust her, so shame on him!
Then again, maybe he is afraid of us! LOL

Good luck with your paper, anonymous. The story that you mentioned about how you have persevered to further your education and do it with excellence is very moving. I think the fact that you mentioned Hillary in your story as an inspiration is so relevant to why so many support her. She is truly a leader who inspires people to become better people. She inspires people to want to face tough challenges, to achieve more, to contribute to their own and others’ lives, and most of all to not give up on their dreams. So your story made me think about creating a scrapbook of vignettes on how Hillary has inspired you. I think this is relevant to our cause in that it demonstrates that true leadership extends far beyond speeches–we are inspired by Hillary’s life, who she is as a human being, and what she has accomplished. So just a suggestion–perhaps we could have a place on the ACTION center to contribute stories of how Hillary has inspired us and then put them together for ads or PR. Anyway, anonymous, good luck today and thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks for filling me in on how Murphy is doing. Glad to hear she is ok. Thanks also for sending me the above link. I could read the transcript of her interview, but I can’t view any videos at the moment. I’m out of town, with limited computer access, limited computer capability. Did get a few patchy still shots from the interview, so I finally have a physical image to go with the disembodied blogsite one I have of our Murphy. She definitely gives a good image to PUMA and it’s great to see PUMA exposure increasing in the mainstream media, after just a few short weeks of its creation! I will be checking in periodically in the next week, but will have limited ability to participate, unfortunately. Keep up the good work and the good fight! We’re definitely making progress!

Obama Changes Presidential Seal
“Sen. Barack Obama has promised “change,” and his campaign has already been hard at work changing one of the basic symbols of the nation — the Presidential Seal.
On Friday, the press was abuzz over the new seal, which was unveiled on Obama’s podium when he spoke to a group of Democratic governors.
While the Obama seal does include the American bald eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch, the resemblance ends there.
The Latin phrase “E Pluribus Unum,” which translates to “Out of many, one,” now says “Vero Possumus.” Press reports translate the Latin words as “Truly, we are able” — a rough translation of the Obama campaign slogan, “Yes we can.”
The deletion of “E Pluribus Unum,” long considered the de-facto motto of the United States, is not accidental for multiculturalists, who have long denigrated the concept that immigrants must strip away their old culture in favor of the “oneness” of American civilization.
In the 1990s, such activists promoted the alternative concept of the nation’s ethnic “mosaic,” rather than a single, overarching metaphor to describe American society. For example, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan has pointedly criticized the “E Pluribus Unum” motto as not reflecting the nation’s diversity.
Other Obama changes to the seal include the removal of the shield over the eagle’s breast, representing the president’s oath to defend the Constitution. The shield has been replaced with the letter “O” — presumably for Obama — and the image of a rising sun.

#79 gina613, I was thinking the same thing. Where are all these people? I know some people don’t blog, I do not do a lot of that myself. But, I do get involved in other way’s. Donating and signing petitions are just a few. I’ve also been passing out the flyer’s from our site. ( Which by the way are great ) There has to be a way to let people know that it is not enough to just talk about our disapproval of the DNC, Obama and the MSM treatment of Senator Clinton. Talk is just that, Talk. It will not get us anywhere. As Obnoxious as the Obama campaign and it’s supporters have been, you have to give them credit for there effort’s towards their candidate. Are we going to let them push him all the way to the White House? We may not agree with them, but they are organized and they get there point across to there supporters. We need to do the same for Senator Clinton. If we really believe that there is a chance of her being the nominee, then we need to show our support. There is strength in numbers, but only if those numbers participate.

I’ve been doing some thinking. The stronger we become and the more exposure we get, can you imagine the internal pressure Hillary must be getting from the DNC to reign us in??!!
So I think we should be cautious in our actions when we are present at joint appearances of Hillary and BO. Out of respect for her, and in stark contrast to his flock, visible anger should be kept in check…because the Dems will force her to chastise us. She will have no choice.
My concern is that Hillary will be blamed for the disunity.
Every time we speak to the media, we must stress that it was the Bo campaign’s tactic to portray the Clintons as racially insensitive, Caucus fraud, no fair reflection with delegate allotment, voter disenfranchisement, and the DNC’s silence with the unbridled mysogyny that is the basis for our activism.
That is why, as much as we love Hillary, we will not “get over it!”

Take a look at “Citizen’s For McCain,” Joe Lieberman is heading it up through McCain’s site. You can join, if you’re so inclined, and also post reasons why you do or would support JM. Might also be a way of demonstrating we’re not going to go over to Obama, regardless if he is the DNC’s coronated King, regardless of what pressure they apply to HRC to campaign for him, etc.
And….on a lighter note. Play “Pork Invaders” – a fun little video game on JM’s website. It’s a great diversion to help calm frazzled nerves. When I play I think of all those little piggies as back-stabbing DNC manipulators, like Dean, Pelosi, et al.

I personally am opposed to single-issue or movement voters. I believe that in our lives and in our government, everyone must be willing to make concessions to protect and create prosperity within our future. I personally have reservations on some of John McCain’s positions, but I also realize the historical dangers presented by semi-socialist positions and over-pandering of Barack Obama. An electorate should not be driven by any single issue, let alone those that polarize our nation and split the electorate. Americans need to remember that the greatest leaders of this nation all had one thing in common; they understood the necessity to prioritize the functions of government. The greatest leaders of our nation understood that first function of government was to protect ours and our ally’s sovereignty, followed by promoting economic prosperity, and finally addressing social and cultural reforms. The Obama campaign has made it clear that expect to win this election by breaking down our society into neatly formed groups who only vote based upon single-issues. Remember that in the months ahead.

Obama, primarily because he fears his image would be tarnished with a link of “terrorism”, has carefully avoided Muslims- if you recall his campaign removed two Muslim women from behind his podium last week. Yes, the same candidate of “hope” and “change” will not say publicly that people need to understand that not all Muslims are terrorists and not all terrorists are Muslim…so much for a “different” kind of politics eh?

It was basically a long list with a lot of “opportunities” to campiagn or give money to BO. I’m wondering where they got my contact info and I think I recognize a name, John Bowes, as the former Clinton South Shore organizer. I’m annoyed that they are using my contact info and I am on some list. [I was kicked out of BO's website long ago]. I am 99% sure that the Clinton campaign is NOT giving out our contact info, but what can we do about former Clinton supporters like this Massachusetts group? In addition to your comment, I heard that women over 65 (especially) will deccide the election, and they are not supporting Obama presently.
I get amused at the reasons the media give for seniors supporting McCain/Clinton. None of the reasons is Obama’s limited resume and experiential background.
Seniors criteria in selecting a President are markedly diferent from that of the “American Idol” culture. It is ridiculous to hear parents say they voted based on what their children told them to do. Unbelievable!

Unity is right off of I91 which makes it a reasonable trip from Springfield MA, Boston Ma, Hartford CT, Albany NY, and of course parts of NH and VT. Unity is a town of only 1,700 so I doubt that there will be a crowd of 10,000. A couple hundred Puma’s would make the news and the place will be crawling with national media because this the first appearance of Hillary and Obama together. If only handful of us show up it will be dismissed, no doubt, as those disgruntled people, but if a few hundred show up……….

No I have not. Besides writing for my own website forum (which I use to collect my data so I can post here, and I invite others to do so as well because individual users can create their own topics with Forum software), and coming here, and reading all the links plus collecting YouTube videos, the only sources I’ve been contacting via email are the major cable news networks. Mostly I’ve been contacting CNN and FoxNews anchors.
Note: When I put up a YouTube video on my site, I’ve been trying to give the date of the upload, the title of the video as well as typing out a short description to save time sifting through them.
BUT, if you want, I could go into my Netscape BOOKMARK.HTM file and cut out ALL the videos and email THAT to you… but I have to warn you, I do have a lot.

About the flowers, I think that we should mention Denver, mention taking it all the way. How could she get flack over what her supporters are saying? I couldn’t care less about the DNC and their corrupt ways, if they don’t like it, too bad.
Welcome Back and we hope to see you when we are in Denver? Something that will let her know that we will not ‘get over it’.
We all realize that the only reason Hillary is going out with BO is because she is a woman of her word. We also keep our word, we will not support BO ever! She knows full well that we will not fall in line, she knows that we are 18 million strong, and in Denver we hope to shatter that glass ceiling!
Never in my life, I am 50, have I supported, loved and admired a candidate more. Hillary represents what women my age and older have been fighting for all their lives. She gave me hope, and still does, for a better future for my children and my grandchildren. I love her for that.
Now I am sure I don’t have to sing Hillary’s praises to all of you, or of the injustice of this so-called election process, to name a winner before the contest is over. We all know that this election was fixed, and that is what makes me so damn angry. That these people, we are paying to represent us, are merely representing their own interests instead of that of the American people.
I hope we can rid the democratic party “and I use the term loosely” of this delegate and super delegate business. They have their own agenda, especially the supers, they want money for their re-election campaigns and BO is giving it to them big-time. Money talks and 18 million Americans are screwed. Bulls**t! It is time for a revolution, time to get these fat cats out of office. Elect those who perhaps aren’t corrupt, and those who cant be corrupted. Those with high moral and ethical standards, someone like MURPHY!!! HA HA!!! But its true, she would definitely look out for the American people!
