It’s Going to Take More Than a Band-aid to Fix the Democratic Party

DAILY TALKING POINT 6/24/08: BARACK OBAMA STANDS FOR NOTHING AND NOBODY BUT HIMSELF. HIS CAVE ON THE HOUSE’S FISA COMPROMISE PROVES THAT HE WILL BETRAY THE WISHES AND INTERESTS OF HIS OWN CORE CONSTITUENCY IN ORDER TO GET ELECTED.

It may take more than a band-aid, but we’re here to help!

Today’s ACTION is to send a band-aid to Nancy Pelosi and Howard Dean to let them know that we are prepared to do everything we can to fix our party, heal the divide, and reunite for ALL Democrats in ALL 50 states.

  1. Copy and paste this message into your own document
  2. Sign it with your First Initial, Last Name, County/State, and Puma PAC underneath
  3. Grab a bandaid and paste it to the letter
  4. Mail it to any or ALL of the addresses at the bottom of the post.
COPY THIS MESSAGE INTO YOUR LETTER, WITH THE LOGO:
This Band-aid Will NOT Heal the Democratic Party, but we’re here to help!

Mission Statement

There will be no unity in the Democratic party until the voices of the 18 million voters who support Hillary Clinton are heard and heeded. Until the voices of Pumas are once again listened to by the leadership of the Democratic party, we will be guided by defiance. We will treat insult with uprightness and will meet disdain with disdain. We will not be bullied, brainwashed, or bossed into falling in line.

We are motivated to action by our shared belief that the current leadership of the Democratic National Committee has abrogated its responsibility to represent the interests of ALL democrats in ALL 50 states. They are misleading our party and aim to mislead our country into nominating an illegitimate candidate for president in 2008.

Good Morning Pumas

Our daily hot links have been updated this morning along with our newest post:
Obama’s New Problem: Religious Leader Ends His Silence
http://politicallydrunk.blogspot.com/2008/06/obamas-new-problem-religious-leader.html

From my post today, Something every vote should remember:

I personally am opposed to single-issue or movement voters. I believe that in our lives and in our government, everyone must be willing to make concessions to protect and create prosperity within our future. I personally have reservations on some of John McCain’s positions, but I also realize the historical dangers presented by semi-socialist positions and over-pandering of Barack Obama. An electorate should not be driven by any single issue, let alone those that polarize our nation and split the electorate. Americans need to remember that the greatest leaders of this nation all had one thing in common; they understood the necessity to prioritize the functions of government. The greatest leaders of our nation understood that first function of government was to protect ours and our ally’s sovereignty, followed by promoting economic prosperity, and finally addressing social and cultural reforms. The Obama campaign has made it clear that expect to win this election by breaking down our society into neatly formed groups who only vote based upon single-issues. Remember that in the months ahead.

Have a great day and remember to give to PumaPac and visit the advertisers on Puma network websites so that our community can keep on fighting to restore sanity to this election.

Here is another interesting read from Marc Rubin
http://tominpaine.blogspot.com/

Murphy- hopefully you and he have been in touch? Again, joining forces.

I heard some moron on CNN this morning again saying that there is evidence that Clinton voters are going to BO. I didn’t listen to the story because it was to early to start the day in such a bad mood!

Glad to be here to brighten my day!

#4 sheila7 on 06.24.08 at 11:09 am

T-HIRTS———–MUGS—————–T-SHIRTS

I just wanted all new members to know that you can buy t-shirts and mugs from the PUMA Pac site. Just go back to home page and find the link for PUMA Pac Gear. Click on this and there you will find the colors of the t-shirts, descriptions and prices of both. You can pay by credit card, check or money order. If paying by check, send Murphy an e-mail. She will send you the address to use.

murphy@pumapac.com

Also,if you want to donate money to this site thru the mail, send it to the same address as you did for the shirts.

#9 Ergot4Hill on 06.24.08 at 11:20 am

The mission statement above is perfectly put and inspiring.

I am still appalled and enraged by the misogyny and sexism that occurred.

Some of the sexist statements from Obama surrogates were so offensive to me, they might as well have used the c*** word.

That’s why I’m for McCain 2008!

#10 bluesgal on 06.24.08 at 11:21 am

#8 SHOULD BE T-SHIRTS, SORRY!

#11 Maryland PUMA on 06.24.08 at 11:22 am

We will soon have other items available to get the PUMA Pac word out.

Notepads, window clings, bumper stickers, pens, post-its, fridge magnets and other goodies that are cheap, used every day, and easy to ‘give away’.

What’s your pleasure?

Mornin’ Pumas

I could use some help on another forum. Does anyone know anything about Peter Paul’s allegations against Hillary? We’ve got someone over there who keeps referring to Hillary as “a criminal”. I’ve ignored it up til now, but would like to put it to rest.

As I understand it, Peter Paul alleges campaign fraud.

Thanks

Murphy, thank you for going to the media. Good job in the interview!

With such corrupted main stream media and monopoly, I think it is good time for people with entrepreneurship to start new media business that really voice democracy and stand out. It can be TV, radio stations, magazines, newspapers, books, online newsletters… I am not an expert but just throw a thought here.

#19 Maryland PUMA on 06.24.08 at 11:32 am

I was happy, so happy, to see PUMA Pac out there. JSND is getting much attention and does not promote us at all. Kind of disappointing.

To All
If any one still needs to do the Flip Flop Daily Growl I would like to pass along what I did that was helpful for me $wise.
I sent store ads with Flip FLops on sale. I sent it along with a message that - “Since you do go thru so MANY flip flops they are ON SALE - Stock Up Now!”
It was inexpensive (just postage and some print ltr print outs) and still got my message out.
Great idea on the ground troops to help family and friends join & help us even thought they do not have internet or $’s.

#28 alohapuma on 06.24.08 at 11:38 am

#22 wondbackdown - Peter Paul was one of the producers of the Hollywood gala to help elect Hillary to the Senate in 2000. There are a couple of videos on YouTube about this…all innuendo…

The huntress in me would like to snarf this guy. He’s been calling Hillary a criminal for months over there and people listen to him.

#29 snowtiger on 06.24.08 at 11:38 am

Just a quick note from an independent. I’ve been watching PUMA from the day you started and can say you are really having an impact. All the BO supporters I know are beginning to sweat and they all know who you are.

Larry Sinclair was out jail yesterday…

He just released “What Really Happened At The National Press Club”,
“I AM BACK, AND I AM NOT GOING AWAY”
larrysinclair0926.wordpress.com/

I believe what Larry Sinclair told about his sex and drug thing with OB is true. I don’t understand why the media totally ignored it. If any other person in public office has this kind of dirty and criminal things he would be kick out of office long time ago, not mentioning running for president of the country.

I am working on the king nobama graphic and list.

Glad to hear that everything is all right Murphy. Thanks for all you do.

#50 Taffy on 06.24.08 at 11:55 am

aloha..peter paul is one of those things that’s never really been clear so no way to fight it now but BO will use against Hillary. It’s part of the so called baggage which has been out there for years. There was a party for Bill in CA with several big donors when he was supposedly going to go into business with Peter Paul. Most of the money ended up going to Hillary’s campaign fund for Senate. There was one amount of 700,000 in particular that was the main basis and a fine was paid to FEC. Hillary is named in the court case which is still ongoing. The question is whether she knew about all this fund raising in advance. There’s tons of info on the iternet. Again pro Clinton vs anti Clinton. Anti saying she and Bill are typical politicians getting favoritism etc. I figure if nothing has been done in the courts in over 7 years it can’t be too strong a case against Hillary. Anti’s again saying political strings being pulled. Hillary should be indicted on felony charges. Waste of breath to argue what courts aren’t even sure about. If you want to argue do some reading on google and try to figure it out. I can’t cause it’s kind of likee the stuff with MO. did she or didn’t she.

#51 SunnyPA on 06.24.08 at 11:55 am

I was hoping someone could answer this question for me:

Right now, it appears that I have donated $2,300 to Hillary’s campaign and am certainly interested in helping Hillary pay off her campaign debt. I believe that the limit for donating to a candidate during the primary season is $2,400. But now that Hillary is out of the race, does that limit still apply?

As soon as Obama declared himself America’s boywonder and said he was the nominee, he immediately stated he was looking forward to Bill’s support, his knowledge and his experience.

Obama knows he needs Bill and people with his understanding of running the country, I wondered though if Obama realized there would begin to be disgruntlings amongst his supporters when the real obama came forth and if he thought having Bill in tow would save his sorry ***.

But I have faith in Bill, and I do not believe he will play Obama’s game, actually I can see Bill with a smirk a mile wide as Obama tries to kiss up to him. And I don’t beleive much of what the media says about endorements and support til I hear it from the horse’s mouth.

This is going to be fun to watch. I’ll be stocking up on popcorn just to watch the comedy hour, otherwise known as the evening news.

Well, after thinking things over I decided the one small way I could help HC today was to help her pay down her campaign debt.

Contribution Details
Date: June 24, 2008 12:15 PM CDT
Amount: $50.00

I will contribute to PUMA Pac after July 1st. I just hope that HC can pay off her debt as soon as possible, if not she will have to continue attending functions and fundraisers with BO. Yuk! I feel awful for her.

Have a great day,

Blog some names of people who have stood by HRC or shouted out against the corruption we have witnessed in this election.

In addition to growling at the misguided, we need to support those who continue to vet BHO and stay true to Democracy.

Shout ‘em out. I’m makin a list!

Thanks!

now i have another problem. a lady at her office said they already turned away flowers for her today because they weren’t notified ahead of time. they need to know they are coming and from whom. i wasn’t sure what to tell her. do i tell her all 50 states? i’m not sure they’ll accept them and i didn’t know whether to tell her we were doing this. what do you guys think?

#91 Lara08 on 06.24.08 at 12:27 pm

I read the message you posted last night. I’m glad someone had TX covered. Also, are there plans to record this in some way? Will the press know the flowers are being sent or is someone else being asked to take a picture of this at least?

Thanks for doing this!
Lara

#92 Lara08 on 06.24.08 at 12:29 pm

I don’t think it would be a problem if you told her when they were to arrive and who was sending the flowers. What does she mean by who is sending them? 1-800-flowers is sending them. I’m glad she told you about this ahead of time.

#93 Pookie on 06.24.08 at 12:29 pm

Murphy there was a wonderful article in my daily newspaper by Floyd and Mary Beth Brown: Media’s Love for Obama infects coverage. I want to email it to you and maybe you could put it on the web site. This is the same kind of slander that was done against the Clintons when they were in the White House and it’s long past crying wolf. If anyone brings it up just remind them that if Ken Starr couldn’t get anything on the Clintons (the Lewinsky thing doesn’t count because it was none of our business) then there’s nothing to find. Hi Roland, I have cut and pasted the flower info below
Hi everyone,
To update anyone just checking in: We are sending flowers to welcome Hillary back to the Senate. We would like each state to be represented. This is obviously voluntary but if you would like to participate please email me at sheila7puma@gmail.com. I am keeping track of the states. When we have all states represented then we can each place our own order on the same day. You can send whatever you like but many are going with sending her 3 yellow roses in a bud vase from Here’s the link:
http://ww12.1800flowers.com/product.do?baseCode=1030&dataset=10314

You can also choose your own florist. This is just a suggestion. On the day when we get enough representation(hopefully today or tomorrow) I will call her office and find out the best place to send them. We will all write a message welcoming her back and sign it with our first name, last initial, city, state and puma democrat.

“Tracking the money

At the state and local level, these contributions are difficult to trace. At the federal level, contributions are reported and traceable. There is a lengthy lag time. Recent figures may take weeks to be reported and analyzed; however, February records can be examined. Obama had donated to delegates more than $700,000; Clinton more than $236,000. Studies have found that a presidential candidate who gives the most money to superdelegates receives their endorsement 82 percent of the time.

The Weekly Standard commented “… if 82 percent of the superdelegates are endorsing the candidate who donated more to them, that’s indicative of something other than a belief in the ‘audacity of hope.’ It sounds like old-fashioned bribery.”

#127 mpk on 06.24.08 at 12:49 pm

Hi Sheila, next week would be fine too. I guess we need to find out more information about what they need to know in order for the flowers to be delivered. #136 Lara08 on 06.24.08 at 12:56 pm

Well, I suppose that if people are maxed out on contributions to HC, they can send flowers.

Sheila7, you should try to find out what they want (senate floor or her office), before they will let the flowers go in. If you need to provide a list of people’s names from each state before the flowers are allowed to enter, then you’ll have to do that.

Good day my Pumas Pals, Murphy great interview. I want everyone to know that I was a delegate for Hillary and I watched her get robbed big time in the so called caucus. I am concerned that if we do not elect one spectific solutions then we may very well give this election to *61. I did my own research if some of us vote Mc Cain, some third party and some stay home then we have no power. Remember power comes in numbers and if we continueon this path then are numbers will be spreaded to thin, am I making any sense? We need to elect on solution staying home will not work, *61 will get the votes and win, that way. Third parties are just spoliers they usually never get enough votes to win just to keep one party from winning, which may work. Now wasn’t there a gentlemen whom was working on our side whom said he had a meeting with Mc Cain and it went well, anyone on how that may work? Just thoughts my friends I say it’s time we start picking on sure way to vote an stick with that right now it seems we are out of pace , remember we are the strongest and can make the impact in the numbers by numbers.

#148 1of18MilforHill08 on 06.24.08 at 1:10 pm

Sheila7

What did you think of the one big bouquet 50 (or 51? Canada) roses for all? The thing I was wondering about is she will have to have someone (and I do not know how it works on the senate floor) take all of those bouquets somewhere - will that make it harder for her?

If we did one big bouquet of yellow it would cost less and the balance of the $ could go toward paying down her debt. The card message could reflect this and send a duo message….I did email you this but lately my email was acting up….could be big paws!:)

Just a thought of how we could get around some of these obsticles(sp?). Would not want all the hard work, the flowers and our message to go to waste.

From Yahoo News:

Bill Clinton offers support to Obama

By NEDRA PICKLER, Associated Press Writer

WASHINGTON - Former President Clinton said through a spokesman Tuesday that he is committed to helping Barack Obama become president, his first comments in support of his wife’s former rival since their primary ended three weeks ago.

Relations between the last Democratic president and the candidate who wants to be the next one are frosty — they still haven’t spoken in the aftermath of the heated campaign. But Bill Clinton extended an offer to help in a one-sentence statement from spokesman Matt McKenna.

“President Clinton is obviously committed to doing whatever he can and is asked to do to ensure Senator Obama is the next president of the United States,” McKenna said.

It’s not clear what Obama might ask him to do. The campaign wasn’t specific when asked.

“A unified Democratic Party is going to be a powerful force for change this year and we’re confident President Clinton will play a big role in that,” said Obama spokesman Bill Burton.

Bill Clinton will not be attending the unity rally between the two former rivals Friday in New Hampshire. McKenna said the former president is in Europe this week to celebrate Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday, give speeches and work for the William J. Clinton Foundation.

Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton spoke Sunday and talked about Obama connecting with the former president sometime in the future, Burton said.

Hillary Clinton spokesman Mo Elleithee said, “Senator Clinton is very pleased with how quickly the party is coming together after the primaries, and she will continue to do everything she can to unite Democrats behind Senator Obama as our nominee.”

Bill Clinton was an outspoken critic of Obama during the primary race. He said Obama’s opposition to the Iraq war was a “fairy tale” and raised questions about whether the first-term Illinois senator had the experience to lead the country. During one debate Obama snapped at Hillary Clinton, “I can’t tell who I’m running against sometimes.”

President Clinton has been the most valuable personality in the Democratic Party, but his angry outbursts while campaigning for his wife tarnished his image. Obama prizes a tightly controlled image and lack of drama in his campaign, which are not President Clinton’s hallmarks.

Half of respondents to an AP-Yahoo News poll conducted in mid-June viewed Bill Clinton favorably. But he took a hit among those who said they had a “very favorable” opinion of Clinton, dropping from 25 percent in December before the primary voting began to 16 percent in June. Still, the former president is one of the most popular figures in public life and he drew large, enthusiastic crowds when campaigning for his wife.

Democratic consultant Mark Kornblau said the benefits of having Bill Clinton’s help outweigh the negatives for Obama. He said Clinton could travel to economically struggling states such as Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan and talk about the prosperity under his presidency and promote Obama’s vision.

“He can connect in parts of the country where Senator Obama may need some help, like the Rust Belt, and it will help in further unifying the primary after a fractious primary,” said Kornblau, who was a spokesman for Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards. “The downside, as we saw in the primary, is that it’s a little roll of the dice. But I think it’s worth the risk.”

#147 democratnomore- I am with you and I wish we all could come to the same agreement, although I understand that is not this blog’s nor PAC’s purpose.
But not voting is a vote for Barry.
And remember how Nader really helped blow it for Gore?
As much as I don’t agree on many of McCain’s platforms, he is not George Bush. There should be a democratic majority in the house (for all the good it has done us these past 2 years, thanks Pelosi and Reid).
McCain has said he only wants one term. He has worked bipartisanly on a lot of issues.
We in Az get no pork barrel money- he puts his money where his mouth is!
So, while I am not eager to vote for him, I wasn’t exactly eager to vote for Kerry either. I just believe he is the lesser of the two evils/.

Why besides the obivous does the AP and other MSM continue to use the words - “ended her campaign” and other to make ppl believe that it is all over for her. I do not think that way and believe she will have success at the convention as long as the “Party” doesn’t pull any more crap. But should be corrected if it is false….from her speech I got that she is “suspending” her campaign.
We need to make that point clear. So many ppl when I was passing out fliers on the ground said they thought she was done, out of the race, conceded, withdrew and on and on. Again this should be cleared up. Now with your on the forced stump with the Chosen One adds more confusion to those that do not keep up with everything. JMO

RE: #137 Pelosi on Greta’s program

Greta just did a ‘what question would you like to ask Nancy Pelosi?’ on her Gretawire. Actually it trashed Pelosi…..so I can’t imagine what ??’s will be asked tonight.

Pelosi will also be on the Situation Room today…..

#168 murphy on 06.24.08 at 1:30 pm

and my reply to the brave man, which I’ll try to post over at HuffPo.
“hey thanks for emailing me, and for publishing my personal info on the internet at the same time that you are too cowardly to identify yourself.

Typical.

Thank you as well for reminding me that I DID EVERYTHING I COULD in 2000 to prevent GEORGE BUSH from becoming the Republican nominee, including
donating money to McCain’s campaign and voting for him in the Republican primary here in Massachusetts because I was confident that my hero, AL
GORE, would win the primary for the Democrats.

I then went on to vote for Al in November of course. And WE ALL know how THAT turned out.

I am ashamed that you did not also DO EVERYTHING YOU COULD to prevent a disastrously unprepared and empty suit from getting the nomination in 2000. Oh wait, why should I be surprised? That’s exactly what you ARE trying to do now in 2008.

Coward.

#170 william DenverCO on 06.24.08 at 1:31 pm

#147 Democratnomore, I have also dropped out of the Democratic Coup, and I agree with you. I have been a Democrat for 35 years. While I like the freedom floating among the PUMAs, that we should vote our conscience, and this in the spirit of DEMOCRACY I would ultimately support. I would on the other hand say; “If you are going to make a statement. Make it in a way that gets NOTICED; namely vote for Sen. McCain.” On this election year, I am forced to consider other candidates.
If McCain was not one that would be willing to work with the LEFT I would have a hard time considering him. Over the years, I have come to like him, because he does work in the middle. And mind you, I have been a loyal Democrat all this years. And I am not a Republican troll.
McCain is also a war hero, who suffered at the hands of the enemy. I have not had a quarter of the suffering that he endured. For him and the many war heroes, I am willing to vote for Sen. McCain, not the Republicans, because I still remember Ken Stare, and I am definitely not proud of our current puppet President. Vote for McCain is what my conscience is all about!

Murphy,
Yes, I kind of expected BO’s people would act that way. It’s pathetic.

I can’t wait until I get a call from one of them or they come by to talk to me about their candidate. I’m looking forward to that conversation. They are truly cowards.

Sorry if this upsets you though. You were one of the firsts to step out of the shadows. Because of your act others will find it easier to speak their mind.

Here is a less passive and more concise version of the Mission Statement submitted as recommendation.

“There will be no unity in the Democratic Party until the voices of the 18 million Hillary Clinton supporters is heard. The P.U.M.A.s will be defiant until the leadership of the Democratic Party listens to our voices. Together we will treat insult with uprightness, meet disdain with disdain, and NOT be bullied, brainwashed, or bossed into falling in line. The P.U.M.A.s are motivated to action by our shared belief that the current leadership of the Democratic National Committee has abrogated its responsibility to represent the interests of ALL Democrats in ALL 50 States. The DNC is misleading the Democratic Party by attempting to nominate an illegitimate candidate for president in 2008. The P.U.M.A.s will not support B.H.O.”

Hello, PUMAs,

I would just like to give my two cents on us all choosing one strategy for voting in the fall election:

There are many opinions represented here. We have had guests drop in and read the posts and immediately get the impression that we are a “Hillary voters for McCain” group. I for one have no intention of voting for McCain. I am an independent left-leaning voter, as I have said here from the beginning. McCain is a part of the problem, not a part of the solution, IMO — BUT that is just my opinion.

I respect others who want to vote Republican as their protest against Obama. Or those who will stay home. Or those who will write in someone’s name. If you are a progressive or left-leaning Hillary supporter, don’t think you have to vote Republican. There are other options. You can support a third party candidate whose positions you are comfortable with, thereby taking votes away from the Democrats. I have voted “independent” for a very long time. Eventually they will hear us! Especially if we take votes away from Obama!

So, this is just my two cents in support of a continued *individual* strategy and approach to *voting* only!Coordinated *PUMA actions* are a different thing altogether, however, and if we can all agree on coordinated activities, then that will be very powerful, whether we individually vote for McCain, Greens, Working Families Party, or whoever.

Just had a chance to see the interview. Great job Murphy. How do you do all of this with three kids to look after? You are really something.
I hope I didn’t offend anyone with my comments. I think you guy’s are great and I know everyone here is working hard to get the word out. I guess it’s just frustrating to see people do so much for BO and hang on his every word. If only people could see him for what he really is . He is such a user. Well, I donated to Hillary’s site last night, now I’m going to donate to Puma’s. See you guy’s later.

Good morning (PDT)! It’s sunny at last here in the PNW. Thanks, Murphy, for another day of action. I’m sending out the bandaid letter to Pelosi and Dean. I’m also sending out two more letters to the WA State Democratic Party and the local Central Committee. Others may consider doing this as well in each state. Grassroots endeavors start at home (as Murphy knows).

I’m the coordinator for our talking points project (subject: “Problems with State Caucuses). A couple of people have written me with their experiences and article links. Thanks everyone! Yet, I wonder if this would work better if we chose a topic points subject each day and asked people to contribute within the blog to that daily chosen topic. That way we could get that done and can move on.

If you and the group don’t like that idea then I’ll go back to asking that people send me their information directly to my e-mail: lara08pumadem@gmail.com.

Thanks, Lara

#166 murphy… I know a lot of “hard-core democratically principled individuals” who are resgistered as republicans and are very much involved in the GOP.

Why? Because they believe their presence in the GOP has an impact on bringing some weight to voicing their opposition to some of their positions/issues - from within the GOP!

#197 queen81 on 06.24.08 at 1:57 pm

Love the response..and how rude can people be. I was excited to watch you last night just to have a face to put with the name. I would never have the, forgive my choice of word, audacity to dig into your personal information. The issue of who gets my vote will be based on whether it will be a close election or not!
I do not find a vote for McCain total palatable - but the thought of OB winning the election is worse.
I will be sending a contribution for the PUMA and the Hillary contribution on Friday!!!
Thanks to all of you — together we will win.

#202 Taffy on 06.24.08 at 2:04 pm

#180 NYCgal I agree with you. Isn’t the whole point of the PUMAs the fact that our candidate was “Selected”? By saying we all need to take a stand and back McCain we are doing exactly what the DNC is doing. I personally will vote McCain. One of my family members will vote Independent because she cannot back BO or McCain. That is the purpose of having the freedom to vote. Yes, it would be nice to make a united standfor a candidate, but we ARE making a united stand by voicing our individual freedom to vote. We just need to remember that for every one of us who doesn’t vote BO, he needs 2 votes to make it up.

#206 tarma on 06.24.08 at 2:07 pm

#180, NYCgirl, I agree with your comments. I’m also left-leaning, and will not be voting for McCain. At the same time, I urge people to consider using their vote strategically. As a New Yorker, Obama will win my state regardless of whether I vote for McCain, write Hillary in (my intention), or vote for a third party candidate. PUMA’s may want to think about which “protest” tactic will have the most impact in their particular state.
Re: #190, flip-flops - I love the symbolism; don’t love wasting usable footwear. Please consider the possibility of a massive flip-flop donation to people in need through SOLES4SOULS - @$5/pair, can be done on-line and “in honor of”.
