Again Folks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UNITY!!!!!!!!!!!!
okay here are the details:
Unity NH, Unity Elementary School, 6/27/08, 12:00
Unity is right off of I91 which makes it a reasonable trip from Springfield MA, Boston Ma, Hartford CT, Albany NY, and of course parts of NH and VT. You can map quest it and simply put in Unity Elementary School in place of “business” Unity is a town of only 1,700 so I doubt that there will be a crowd of 10,000. A couple hundred Puma’s would make the news and the place will be crawling with national media because this the first appearance of Hillary and Obama together. If only handful of us show up it will be dismissed, no doubt, as those disgruntled people, but if a few hundred show up……….
So who’s up for this? Bring a pair of flip flops.

vonay Hillary and bo are meeting in dc tomorrow at 1:15

#14 thatswhattimeitis on 06.24.08 at 10:53 pm

Okay, the Greta interview with Pelosi just aired in Ohio.

Is Pelosi insane? Seriously, I laughed out loud at her pathetic responses.

When Greta asked her what experience BO had that Americans could base a decision on, she basically said he doesn’t have any! Her response was something like “oh, well, the American people have decided they want someone new”.

HUH???

Why are Obamabots so foolish to believe that one person could change Washington? It is the way it is. No one is going to change it EVER. You have to learn to play the game and play it well. And one way to prove that you can play the game is to stay in it. Which brings to mind–> Hillary.

Hi all, I’m doing my share of passing money around. I just had to do it, I just HAD to donate a few dollars to John McCain!

Reason; There was a question on the donation page that asked if a friend “referred” you.

OF COURSE I though to myself, now I must share!

I filled in the blank with this;
Howard Dean Democratic National Committee Chairman!

Think that will raise a few eyebrows?

Now, McCain is having a “donate” and ride on his bus…ahem, I think after “my friend” donation I should be the “chosen” one!

I for one will absolutely vote for McCain over what’s his name….thanks Howie!

#18 go_Ohio_Lady on 06.24.08 at 10:55 pm

Nancy Pelosi is so smug and self centered she makes me sick! Greta is trying her best to let Pelosi know that we will NOT vote for Obama, but Pelosi is Obama all the way. She shows no concern for the 18 million voters who want Hillary. She said, “there was a vote and Hillary lost, Obama will bring change.” She needs to be voted OUT!

#19 JustOneOf18M on 06.24.08 at 10:56 pm

Taffy, I belong to HillaryClintonForum.net and over there we’re planning on donating big to Hillary on July 4th… To help celebrate her financial independence. We don’t want BO’s help at all.

#20 Lorelai on 06.24.08 at 10:57 pm

Nancy Pelosi came across as a kindergarten legislator.
She is a poor example of a female role model. Let us flood her email with regrets for wanting an inexperienced candidate to take over Washington…..

She convinced me that she was/is afraid of the role HILLARY would play as President.

GO HILLARY ALL THE WAY TO THE CONVENTION…..

#33 pooh496 on 06.24.08 at 11:01 pm

Pelosi said that all women faced some racism but she was to busy at her job to notice anything happening to Hillary and then completely and conveniently changed the subject. She was trying to say that voting for McCain would be a bad thing for women and we would eventually have to pick Obama. I really dislike that woman. When asked about Obama and his judgement with Wright she said oh well at least he went to church. What a bunch of hogwash and that’s being polite. I am so miffed.
Pelosi needs some more pressure. I won’t call her what they like to call Hillary because it is just not right but I certainly dislike her. Sorry for the rant. I had to get it out.

#34 mart in PA on 06.24.08 at 11:01 pm

“THE DENVER GROUP IS NOW OPEN AND ACCEPTING CONTRIBUTIONS
The Denver Group is pleased to announce that we are now prepared to accept contributions. We have installed a donate button on our site to make it as easy as possible for contributions through PayPal, credit card or check.

We will use all the means at our disposal, primarily mass media through newspapers and television and any other form or media we deem appropriate to accomplishing our goals which is to insure that Howard Dean and the DNC have a fair, democratic, and open convention which adheres to democratic principles which means clearly and without compromise that Senator Clinton’s name must be on the ballot and that there is a roll call vote.

The only democratic process possible or acceptable is that Senator Clinton’s delegates have the opportunity to cast their votes on behalf of the 19 million voters they represent and super delegates must be given the choice and the opportunity at the convention, to cast their votes for the candidate they believe is both the strongest and most qualified to win in November and to execute the office of President once elected.”

Watching Pelosi has made me soooooooo angry. What flipping planet is she living on. I think maybe some Botox has slipped into what she has of a brain.
How dare she say she was to “busy” running her own campaign to know or should I say CARE what was happening to Our Girl. Maybe she was afraid of some great competiton if Our Girl was President. Take alittle light off the old speaker of the house. And another thing if she thinks “fresh” is needed in the Oval Office then why the hell is she running for re-election…sorry by no means is she “fresh”. I also noticed the comment about having a President that “she” can work with and is open to things! Yeah like pay offs
I am so upset that I can hardly type – I keep making typos !!!!!
WELL TO MS PELOSI – I WILL NOT GET OVER IT – NO NOT HOLD WHAT WOMEN SHOULD FEAR ABOUT MCCAIN AS PRESIDENT – I WILL NOT VOTE FOR YOUR “PICKED PUPPET IN AN EMPTY SUIT” TO BE YOUR SIDEKICK- I HOPE WHOEVER CAN GETS YOU OUT AS SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE….CAUSE EMMMMM – I’D LIKE SOMETHING – EMMMMM – OH YEAH “FRESH”

I’m very discouraged that Hillary is going to have Obama’s people help pay down the debt. I bet the Obamabots are dancing in the streets in glee as they get to parade this under our noses now.

I understand why she did it, time is running out on the deadline to have the debt paid, but still.

Truthfully it feels like a sellout, that’s my feelings on it.

I despise the thought of the Obama morons having a one up on us.

Oh well, in politics everyone is your friend and everyone is your enemy. And selling your soul to the devil is not uncommon

My letter to Nancy Pelosi,

In honor of your interview tonight I made my first monetary donation to John McCain.

You can bet your bottom dollar that me and 18 million other voters of Hillary Clinton whom had the most popular vote will NEVER forget how we were kicked to the curb.

I want to know, how you sleep at night? You know what they say, if you lay with dogs you get fleas.

Well, us 18 million voters have “flea spray”!

We’ll see who’ll be licking their wounds in November!

Debbie,
Disgusted democrat for John McCain

This reminds me of the movie Cleopatra when Ceasarian conquers Egypt and wants to parade her in front of his people to humiliate her. Of course, she kills herself but my favorite part is when she writes him a letter and says that she has made so many promises to so many men that one more won’t matter. Lol!

#75 Firebelle Puma on 06.24.08 at 11:26 pm

My Letter to Nancy Pelosi …

Dear Speaker Pelosi,

You started out giving an excellent interview with Greta Van Susteren. I especially appreciate the kind words you had for Hillary Clinton.

However, you lost me when you began praising Barack Obama. I agree that his stated positions are closer to my own beliefs than John McCain’s are. However, Senator Obama is not a man of his word. Therefore, I can’t trust his stated positions.

I’m not a voter who will eventually come around. If Hillary is not the Democratic nominee, I will vote for John McCain. It’s not because I prefer his policies. I don’t. It’s not because I’m upset about the sexism Hillary was subjected to. I’m not foolish enough to vote against my bests interests out of anger. It’s not because I wish to send a message to the DNC regarding the disenfranchisement we saw during the primaries. Again, that’s not a good enough reason to vote against my best interests.

It’s solely a question of character. Obama is a man of very bad character, too dangerous and too untrustworthy to be President of the United States.

I disagree with your position that Senator Obama’s relationship with Reverend Wright is not important. The way I see it, Obama spent 20 years embracing the hateful, poisonous attitudes that permeate Trinity Church. Those same hateful, poisonous attitudes dominate the blog posts from Obama supporters. When I see the hatred and violence that Obama inspires in his followers, I can only conclude that an Obama presidency would be dangerous for our nation and the world.

Beyond that, I’m turned off by Obama’s increasingly dismissive attitude. Refusing to do additional debates with Hillary when voters still wanted to hear debates was dismissive of Hillary and voters everywhere. Refusing to insist that Florida and Michigan delegates be seated in full was dismissive, not only to voters in those two states, but to voters everywhere. Refusing to accept McCain’s invitation for weekly town hall meetings is dismissive. Voters want to hear those debates, and we’re entitled to them. Even Obama’s refusal to accompany McCain to Iraq to see conditions firsthand is dismissive.

What this says to me is that a President Obama will be dismissive of everyone and everything that doesn’t serve his immediate interests. That’s unacceptable. We’ve had that from President Bush for the last eight years. I don’t want it anymore.

I don’t know why an intelligent, proactive woman such as yourself has fallen under Obama’s spell and can’t see him for the danger he is. However, you’re entitled to your opinion just as I am entitled to mine.

Know that I have recently joined PUMA PAC and am actively working to defeat Obama. I pray that Obama self-destructs before the Democratic convention in August, while there’s still time to make Hillary our nominee. But if not Hillary, then McCain. It’s not a happy choice, but it’s the only appropriate one.

Hello, I just came in to say goodnight. Don’t want to miss the wonderful Murphy at 6:20 A.M. EST, 5:20 A.M. C.S.T. (I’m C.S.T.)

I will probably have nightmares after the Pelosi interview. Like you above, I jumped off the couch when she answered, “I’m just glad he went to church.” That is by far the STUPIDEST thing I have ever heard in a long time.

The 9/11 terrorists went to church (mosque).
Satanists go to church.
The mild-mannered accountant clerk who just blew away his family went to church.
Jim Jones went to church.
Jeremiah Wright goes to church, and has a crowd of folks clapping and stomping and praising every word he says, and Obama was one of them “once upon a time.”
This woman has no clue–she sounded mad at the questions. She’s sick of it. She knows we’re here to stay. She thinks she can wag that finger (she wagged her finger, y’all) at us and tell us to behave ourselves.

I’m a free person who thinks for myself. I can handle a little pain–I’ve survived almost 8 years of G.Bush.
Gosh–she was so arrogant.
On that note—I’m outta here. See you tomorrow.

Murphy, sweet dreams.

I got the impression she was scolding all of us who don’t “understand what we are missing.” She is a fool.

#78 antifish on 06.24.08 at 11:27 pm

#64 Trish,

I agree. She is pathetic. To think, the Congress she leads has the lowest approval rating in history and she’s still in charge. Why don’t her underlings revolt? They’d be doing themselves, and us, a favor. I hate to say this, but it’s true, she’s only holding on to power because she is the first woman Speaker.

Good- let them, let them pay Hillary’s vendors, let them pay whomever they want.

My vote is not for sale. I am giving it to John McCain.

Not happy about Hillary taking the money, and appearing in “Unity, NH.”

Well, Bill is the real deal Man from Hope, and NH gave us two Comeback Clintons. So the symbolism could be not as bad as it sounds.

Would like to not see them together, but, I won’t ever watch that. Not even to see Hillary.

evening all!

I find it particularly humorous that she claims to have not received emails in opposition. I sent her an email just ahead of the last primaries and told her she should not as she said step in and end this thing immediately after the last primary. I told her the summer was long and she was going to be mighty embarrassed come august if she forced other superdelegates to choose the wrong candidate. Funny, I didn’t get an error sent to my email, so I can’t seem to understand how she could have misplaced my email. Perhaps it was just an oversight, a vista glitch. Hmmm, what to do? I know, lets send lots and lots of letters pumas!

I followed up my email to Nancy Pelosi with this email to Bill O’Reilly. I sent copies of both emails to the DNC.

*************

Dear Bill O’Reilly,

I don’t know how to reach Karl Rove directly, but I want to tell you how much I appreciate his statements on your show tonight regarding Obama’s refusal to debate John McCain. I’d like to see the media beat on that point until Obama is backed into a corner. Voters are entitled to hear the candidates debate the issues. Obama’s refusal to agree to the weekly town hall meetings is a direct and unmistakable snub to voters everywhere.

Below is a copy of something I sent to media outlets last week. Please feel free to use these talking points in future shows. I’ve sent this same message to Obama and the DNC, but my voice has little impact. Yours, however, is far more powerful.

By the way, I’m a member of the newly formed PUMA PAC, and I’m actively working to see Obama defeated. It’s not because I’m angry about the sexism or the disenfranchisement, although those are certainly factors in my decision. Rather, it’s because I believe Obama is a man of very bad character. I believe he’s dangerous for our nation and our world.

Obama’s 20-year association with the hateful, poisonous Reverend Wright scares me. The hatred and violence he inspires in his followers scares me. His tendency to be dismissive of everyone and everything that doesn’t serve his immediate interests scares me.

So although I prefer Obama’s stated positions over McCain’s, I plan to vote for McCain in November if Hillary is not our nominee. It’s not a happy choice, but it’s the only appropriate one. Obama is not a man of his word, so I can’t trust his stated positions to be what he really believes.

Thank you for your consideration.

********************

What Obama Says to Me

How many times during the primary season did Senator Obama say, “I welcome that debate with John McCain”? So why does he now do everything possible to avoid the weekly town hall meetings Senator McCain keeps asking for?

Here’s what Senator Obama’s actions say to me:

• Senator Obama is not a man of his word.

• Senator Obama does not respect voters who very much want to hear both candidates discuss the issues. Nor does he respect leaders in other countries who also want to hear both candidates discuss the issues.

• Senator Obama is not a man who can or will reach across the aisle as he has repeatedly promised to do. If he intended to reach across the aisle, he’d be doing it now every chance he could.

• Senator Obama is afraid that Senator McCain will expose the lack of substance behind his rhetoric.

• Senator Obama isn’t confident enough about the issues to speak without a teleprompter or the scripted words of his speech writers.

• Senator Obama doesn’t believe in transparency in government.

• If Senator Obama were to become President, he would repeatedly shy away from difficult discussions and uncomfortable topics. So, too, would he avoid talking with other world leaders unless they fall in line behind everything Senator Obama says.

On policy issues, I’m more closely aligned with Democrats than I am with Republicans. But I cannot in good conscience vote for a man of such bad character. In November, I will vote against Senator Obama.

#122 Olive on 06.24.08 at 11:49 pm

I did not see Pelosi tonight, but if she is saying she has received no e-mails about Obama, she must never read or get a summary of her e-mails. I’m sure I’ve send her several. Some nice, some not so nice. She’s a liar. Very refreshing new kind of politics.

I understand you have not received any emails from people who have been long term Democrats who are furious with the DNC and will not unite

rhetorical relieving of himself on the grave of my Dad, and anyone else that gave their lives for this Country, regardless of sex or skin
color? And you are just glad Obama went to church???

Then I did my thing, but ya’ll have heard it before so won’t boreyou. So, now we know, she has received AT LEAST one email, hehe. Let’s keep count today.

Love the snail mail idea. I had actually written to the campaign and suggested that she get her supporters to write to all SD’s and mail them to Hillary’s campaign so they could send them out on the same day. #201 BrooklynNY on 06.25.08 at 12:43 am

I’ve given up on the Democratic Party. There is no excuse for Pelosi’s actions. There is no excuse for Obama’s pastor. Pelosi and Co. aren’t going to “come around.” There is no winning back the Democratic Party in its present configuration. The corruption is so pervasive, it’s going to take longer than this election or the Convention to clean it up.

#202 Firebelle Puma on 06.25.08 at 12:44 am

A friend brought me a Mallard Fillmore (artist Bruce Tinsley) cartoon strip today. I’m not familiar with the cartoon strip, but the message is clear enough …

A couple are assessing cereal choices in the grocery store. One box says, “Fruit ‘N Fiber.” The next says, “Nuts ‘N Honey.” A third says, “Hope ‘N Change.”

The couple are looking at the last box, and the man says to his wife, “Who’s got time to read the ingredients? Let’s just buy it.”

Even if by some divine act of grace, Hillary is the nominee, she still has to work within that corrupt framework and that scares me. I’m done expecting anything from the Dems. None of them stopped Obama and the view that might have objected weren’t strong enough to prevail. Does not inspire my confidence one bit. The stakes are too high to let party loyalty in any form figure in to the equation. At this point in our history, it really is a matter of Country Over Party. All the other issues pale in comparison.

I actually like McCain because (1) he and Hillary are friends, (2) he loves our country, (3) he seems like a decent man.

I feel the same way about McCain. I’m supporting him with a totally clear conscience, not one shred of difficulty, not as a “protest vote,” but because I think he is head and shoulders better for this country than any of the alternatives. Given the present state of the Democratic Party even if Hillary gets the nomination, I still feel very nervous about our future because the Democratic Party is backing someone who really seems a threat to America. To me the only way she can be effective in holding back the onslaught of some devious scenario in the works is to band with moderates of BOTH parties. Again, Country Before Party.

I think it is smart of Hillary to demand that the BO supporters are ask to pay her debt. I doubt that she is going to do much for BO although she needs to appear to be helping. Notice she was 45 minutes late for her end of campaign speech leaving the TV channels on the air talking about her for an extra 45 mins. Remember Bill Clinton said he would help Kerry but of course his open heart surgery kept that from happening. Bill thrives on attention and I have seen many recovering heart patients most of whom can do pretty much what ever they really want to after 3 weeks at least for short periods. So if Bill didn’t give speeches for Kerry it is because he didn’t want to. I bet Hillary will be really busy, for the party of course, back in the Senate and not be very available to campaign for BO. Besides having her out there with BO will piss off the BObamites and will make no difference to us. I think the BO people really need to have Hillary as a nemesis, they have been off their game since she went out of view. I actually think it will be funny to watch them seethe when she reappears taking the spot light off BO and they can’t savage her for sexist sport.

I’m hoping your right. I have a feeling Bill can actually do more harm to Obama than help if he campaigns for him, maybe alienate Obama’s core supporters? And Hillary is so despised by the Obama-ites I don’t know how they’ll handle seeing their idol campaigning with her. Might cause a mental melt-down, fry their bot brains. Too much cognitive dissonance for them to handle.

You shouldn’t hesitate to write letters because you are a republican. No one even has to know. Simply present your case for why you believe McCain is a better choice or why Obama would be bad for our country. It has nothing to do with what party you belong to. You’re a voter, just like the rest of us.

#244 Taffy on 06.25.08 at 1:03 am

ario that is the whole point. we need people to see we are serious about mccain. everybody is banding together. we’ve had several republicans who have said they would have voted for Hillary. That’s actually a much stronger statement than a dem saying it. they think we would have just voted along party lines. bo has put out that hillary only won a lot of places because repubs were trying to get her as nominee since she would be an easy target. They don’t think repubs would have actually supported her. So YES…we need your voice!!!!!!

I agree that the DP is part of the problem. They are delusional, if they believe Hillary’s supporters will endorse *61. If you follow the money with *61, he has many skeletons in his closet. We have charitable funds being directed to ACORN when *61 sat on these boards.

ACORN is a radical group that he is connected with. More importantly, they have provided campaign volunteers for him. We have his mentor Emil Jones Jr. placing *61′s name as a co-sponsor on the Illinois bills. In return, *61 earmarks tens of million of dollars in pet projects for this man’s district.

We have bundlers from top financial firms donating to his campaign. The corruption taking place is huge. This is why *61′s idea to forgo public financing in the GE is a red flag.

TIME ARTICLE IN CONJUNCTION WITH CNN:

Post yesterday about Obama asking his financial backers to donate to retire Clinton’s vendor debt.

Here was one response:
I don’t have much of a problem with this.

But I’m going to have a HUGE problem with the PUMAs and Harriet Christians of the world now. How exactly they’ll manage to spin the fact Obama is still somehow “being mean” to Hillary despite agreeing to pay $10 million back to her that she misspent, is going to be trying.

Maybe they won’t. Maybe for once they’ll just say thank you, Senator Obama has done the chivalrous and generous (if not necessarily right) thing. My guess is: they still eviscerate him for no reason whatsoever. Other than running against Hillary. And all of this will be while he helps her find $10 million he could desperately use himself. Sigh.

That’s true. I have a Republican friend and every election for the past decade or so we’ve debated D vs R. Never in a million years would she have voted D, or I voted R. This year our discussion lasted all of 10 minutes. We both despised O. She said she could easily vote for Hil. I said I would vote for McCain if Hil isn’t in. End of discussion. Forgive me for even admitting that I have something in common with Obama, but I love basketball. I used to be a referee until I trashed my feet by playing and officiating so much.

Too bad politics isn’t like playing basketball. If it were, Obama would have been ejected from the game for unsportsmanlike conduct.

If politics were like basketball, Obama would rack up technical fouls so fast that the scorekeepers wouldn’t be able to keep up.

If politics were like basketball, Hillary would win on free throws alone, because Obama would keep sending her to the free throw line.

I am sitting here trying to work and can not keep my eyes off this screen. i wish i had the time to really do the work you all do, but i mailed flip flops today and sent emails and read what you all wrote and know that some how we will all make this work. There is one thing i am sure of, that most of us out there are women, because you all are doing many things at once taking care of your family, your homes, jobs and working this site. That is why we all know that Hillary would be the best candidate. She too knows how to multi task and get things done the right way, the honest way.

#308 alohapuma on 06.25.08 at 1:37 am

Hillary has asked us to help pay the debt.

I had a big “ah ha” tonight. It’s about the money. Our efforts are admirable, but its about the money.

If Hillary’s supporters can not manage to pay off about 12 million when Obama has hundreds of millions at his disposal…then all our talk doesn’t mean much.

She is doing what she has to do to get this paid by August.

The debt has to be paid before there is any hope of turning this around.

#309 pumaindy on 06.25.08 at 1:42 am

#306 alohapuma

Exactly right. I have been “screaming” about this for a day or two now.

It IS all about the $$. I have been blogging that I think that the Clinton’s strategy might be very different if the debt was addressed and taken care of.

1 million people donating $20.08 each takes care of the debt. I have been contributing as I can and recently incurred $100 debt of my own to contribute towards hers. I will probably increase my debt a little more on 07/04/2008.

How do we get 1 million people to make that gesture? I know that $20 is alot for people. I would be willing to cover up to 4 people in addition to myself.

I really want to see her debt gone so that she is free to act. She keeps asking….

Why don’t they send out John Kerry and his merry band of hypos (as in hypocrites) to make not-so-veiled allusions to Obama going senile and losing his marbles. They did it to McCain. Again, what’s good for the goose is not good for the gander? I’m so sick of the hypocrisy.

#312 pumaindy on 06.25.08 at 1:43 am

There is an initiative by another Hillary site that wants everyone to contribute on 07/04/2008. I’m in for that. Now we just need 999,999 others and we’re set.

Then over dinner my husband & I discussed the merits of a lawsuit against a church on the grounds that its internal politics caused the suitor pain and suffering. His take: “You could sue Obama! He’s been causing you pain and suffering for months!” Hmmm, do the brilliant minds of Puma Pac see an action idea there?

BO is trying to divide the nation. Seems to me that with the exception of the BObots and those he bought he is uniting the rest of us – against him. Hope he underestimates us also.

In all of this, the silver lining to me is that I feel proud to be part of such a diverse coalition. Dems, Repubs, Indys, etc., male, female, rich, poor, middle class, white collar, blue collar, young, old, middle aged, white, black, yellow, brown, green, purple, etc. When we decide to stand as one, we are going to kick his shiny little arse out of this country. I want to see him running with his tail between his legs.

Don’t mess with PUMAs.

#332 BrooklynNY on 06.25.08 at 2:04 am

Pelosi and the DNC think their rank-and-file loyal Dems are idiots. Do they really think we’re all that stupid we’d fall for their bs? If I wanted that kind of party I’d have voted for Bush in ’00. At least Repubs have more respect for their people. They don’t take them to be mindless idiots. They may have played dirty in past elections but they never tried to pull a fast one on their own. If you can’t trust the party to be honest with their own loyal supporters, imagine what they’ll do when the have the whole country by the short hairs. I can’t even begin to describe how infuriated I was when I got Dean’s DNC survey after Hillary’s June 7 speech when he lied in the survey about McCain’s positions and made it clear that’s what the brain-dead Dem leadership planned on using to beat McCain. Give me a break! At least present your opponent’s positions honestly. If you have to lie about his positions to beat him, something is very, very wrong.

What also scares me is that unless some extraordinary event occurs that deflects everyone’s attentions away from who is the next POTUS or something happens to unequivocally disqualify BO, then I think that there is 100% chance that we are in for a bumpy ride.

I am trying to figure out how we don’t end up with a big mess in November, regardless of the outcome.

#341 BrooklynNY on 06.25.08 at 2:15 am

No matter what the Dems promise, they never deliver. Pelosi took over leadership in the house as first woman speaker and in 2 years did absolutely ZILCH! Still waiting for all those wonderful things she was supposed to accomplish in the 1st 100 days. She was so busy having a pissing contest for power within the Dem. party, she squandered a phenomenal opportunity to reverse position on Iraq, which was the main reason Dems made such inroads in Congress. It never was about the country, the war, the people. It was about Nancy Pelosi and the DNC getting control of Congress. Why? To protect all those corrupt politicians from being exposed in their little sweetheart deals? Then using the power to instigate or hold back investigations into their little dirty games to “persuade” them to go along to get along, no matter how threatening to the security of the country that could be? Nope. No more Dems for me.

“it p%$##@ me off knowing this guy just set back blacks by decades…”

I’ve heard that sentiment before, although one poster said it (Obama) “has set race relations back 200 years.” Most of us in the general population know that people of color, women, old / young, leftists, righties, Christians / Buddhists, aren’t monolithic entities, that ultimately we are individuals.

I’m not at all denying that there are far too many racists in the U.S., or that institutionalized racism exists. I think distinctions should be made that there are those who are immersed in, and cultivate their racist views, while others have, and continue to consciously work through racist thoughts if /when they are confronted with them, whether from within, or from without. There’s also another group who don’t realize they are racist, they sincerely mean no harm, and just seriously aren’t aware of their racism or the effect they have on others, and often they don’t get it even when one points out and explains what it is that was said or done that makes it racist.

If Obama has done anything, he has added fuel to the existing fires of the first group, stung the second group by calling them racists, but their position of abhorance of racism will continue, in spite of him. It seems to me that the third group is the most vulnerable to persuasion. In that case, race relations ay have been set back.

There was a recent piece in mainstream media whose premise it was that racism is deeper and sexism is broader. I didn’t read the entire article. I don’t usually care much for those comparisons (competitions).

The bottom line is: a rising tide lifts all boats.

Hope this makes sense. I had surgery a few weeks ago and I’m still taking meds for the pain, so I’m not clear as to whether or not I’m making myself clear. ;)

hey PUMAs :)
checkin in here…. been over at the McCain site, the clintons4mccain site and taking a looksie at various other JustSayNoDeal sites. sooooooo much to read. i’ve also been watching quite a bit of CSPAN and getting a comprehensive understanding of the whole drilling and energy debate. First of all, I have to point out to you guys that nObama has been up to his old tricks, attempting to portray himself as the only candidate calling for tougher restrictions on Oil Speculators. McCain has voiced the same position. Even today, I saw Dem Senator Barbara Boxer of California in the senate chamber saying McCain has been silent on the topic of tougher restrictions on speculators. she said “where has Senator McCain been on this? he’s been pretty quiet. i haven’t heard anything from him!” well well well, let me tell you PUMAs….i didn’t waste one minute before emailing Ms Boxer and referring her this link with Senator McCains speech from last Tues on the whole subject of Oil Speculators: http://www.johnmccain.com/Informing/News/Speeches/Read.aspx?guid=d3ee7e45-7043-4623-ab99-ffbdeb7a431d

anyway PUMAs beware: nObama is going about his same tactics of LYING about his opponent. the McCain supporters are seeing it as nObama taking credit for McCain’s ideas. Gee, that sounds verrrrrry familiar (remember nObama copying Hillary’s Hurrincan Katrina Relief Plan?)

I agree with Brooklyn….. take a closer look @ mccain

Liberal, Socialist, Communist, Marxist, Collectivist, Naive, Inexperienced, Corrupt, Pretentious, Foolish, Weak, Appeasement, Gun Control, Rhetoric, Scandal, Preconditions, Raising taxes, Michelle Obama, Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko, Jimmy Carter, Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Hamas, Flag Pin, Flip-Flop and 527

And just for fun, I emailed Pelosi, Dean, and Brazile a little postcard with a basketball graphic. The text say, “If politics were like basketball, Obama would have fouled out for unsportsmanlike conduct. Too bad the refs (i.e., DNC) are too chicken to call Obama’s fouls.”

#348 greenfun on 06.25.08 at 2:18 am

When citizens throughout the United States go to the polls on November 4, 2008, they will be voting not only for president but also for all 435 members of the House of Representatives and for one-third of the United States Senate. Attention will be focused on the presidential election, but the congressional elections are equally important.

I might take Dems who align themselves up with honorable Independents/Republicans and who prove beyond doubt they put country before party, but no more faith-based support for Dems. They can’t be trusted. They need to prove they’re independent-minded, honorable and not vulnerable to political blackmail, financial manipulation and control and that they believe in democratic principles. I was one who was actually excited about obama, but the second i heard about TUCC and read more and more about Jeremiah Wright… I simply could not in good conscious feel good about this guy. #361 Firebelle Puma on 06.25.08 at 2:27 am

I posted this earlier, but the “late shift” might not have seen it. This is the email I sent Nancy Pelosi (with copies to Greta Van Susteren and Howard Dean). I tried to remain polite so that Nancy Pelosi would actually read it.

#362 pumaindy on 06.25.08 at 2:28 am

hmmmm Flip-Flop is racist? What am I supposed to put on my feet? If I wear flip-flops in public will I be pummeled?

sheila….

there is definetely a radical element in the black community….but its very very marginal…the blacks falling inline behind obama are doing this not because they agree with him….most of us dont…we dont believe in abortion…we dont believe in appeasement to terrorists…we are not anti-gun…we are staunch christians with a church on every corner…and we are very very conservative…but we also have the jacksons, obamas and sharptons that have a chock hold on our community….many are opposing this and it will be awhile before the bond is broken…but by far most blacks are not sitting in anti-american churches and anti-white….this is my problem with obama…he should know this…but then he is from chicago and since im from indiana i am familiar with chicago…like i always say the usa is like a whole buch of united countries…and state to state blacks differ…but obama is black and that trumps everything…and i feel this is wrong and not in the policy of martin luther king jr…

I just read on ClintonDems that the Iowa state Democratic convention will be this weekend. If we lobby Edwards’ delegates to support Hillary, she could win that convention and pick up delegates for the national convention. If anyone has any websites or lists of pledged and superdelegates for lobbying, you can lobby them to support Hillary at the weekend convention in Iowa. Anyone have more info on lobbying these delegates?

I think this race divide issue is totally out of control. I mean, don’t all races have something that historically went really wrong and a history full of mistakes? I am Hispanic, our history is not exactly a perfect Disney story but I don’t choose to atend a “church” and listen to an “spiritual advisor” that will continue to reopen my wounds Sunday after Sunday, if my genuine intention is to heal and move on! Unless, of course I REALLY DON’T WANT TO MOVE ON, and want to continue to hate those that did my ancestors wrong. How can *61 run for an agent of Unity when he is nothing more than a great DIVIDER?!

ario,
i don’t feel it is in the spirit of mlkjr either. like i said i do believe most blacks are more conservative like you’re saying based on my own experience. i have an african american couple that live close by and they are probably the most conservative on the block. very professional and pleasant and that is why i was so shocked by rev. wrights comments and the fact that the congregation was right there with him. there is always that fringe element in any group of people but hopefully most people realize they don’t speak for everyone. i think most people realize that but it doesn’t help to have all of this race baiting from axelrod and obama.
another thing i don’t understand, women have waited a long time to have a president but i would not have voted for just any woman. i don’t understand that. i would want a woman that would represent us with dignity and intelligence. like Hillary!

It is important that we keep our eyes on the Prize! The August Democratic convention will decide who is the people’s choice for President. We must make our voices be heard because this is the last chance we have to get Hillary nominated for President.
If someone is trying to steal your home would you not defend your place? Well, instead of allowing this political mugging to take place we must stand up and fight back. In August, we can demand some mayor party reforms. Our Democratic Party is in need of some mayor house cleaning.
It is vital that all of Hillary’s delegates be there to make demands on all the Reforms that our party needs.
For starters, we should do away with the caucus system.
Once upon a time the caucuses may have served a need but just like the appendix in our bodies, once it goes bad it causes a lot of damage or even death. It is time we make surgical cut and get rid of the corrupt caucus system that lent itself to so much manipulation and intimidation of our members. The caucuses created divisions and lots of resentment. This is not good for any political party.
” PASS THE BUCK BO ” your over 100 “present ” in the Senate is not presidential material. You were not able to change Washington as a Senator.
Your “old dirty Chicago politics” is a clear indicator that there is nothing new or fresh about you. Your resume is so thin that We would never hire you to be the President of the United States!
BO, look at all the devision your political ambition has
brought to our Democratic Party. You are not a uniter, you are just a lot of trouble.
We will vote for all the Democrats to the House and Senate so the Democrats will have control come January 2009 but will not vote for BO. We rather leave the Presidential option blank as a form of protest if Hillary is not the Presidential nominee. We will try our hardest that in August, Hillary is nominated as the legitimate Democrat Presidential Nominee.

OUR VOICES WILL BE HEARD LOUD AND CLEAR

” WITH HILLARY WE ARE ONE VOICE ”
” HILLARY IS THE PEOPLE’S CHOICE ”

” YES SHE CAN ”
” YES WE WILL “

Part of the political mugging that Hillary suffered was a dirty game to break her financially. BO was given to much ” free ” positive media coverage in the mean time Hillary got charged a lot of pretty pennies for lousy media coverage.

Lets not throw the baby out with the bath water. Reforms need to start somewhere and the best forum to get these Reforms going is at our Democrat Convention in August. When things go wrong you do not abandon your country. Why not take over our Party and make it better???
These last eight years have been terrible for our
Nation. We do not want more of the “Bush” failed policies!!!
We can not afford 4 more years of the same! It will bankrupt our Country and send our economy into the most horrible depression it has ever been. The depression we suffered before, will pale in comparison…
Our financial down fall will affect other nations and could bring about the next World War Three.
These are critical times and the wrong leader at the helm could cause a lot of world wide suffering for the human race.
Enough damage has been done, we Democrats must step in and clean up this mess!!!
The more Unions we form the stronger we are. We must make one large push in August to get Hillary nominated! We must demand some mayor Reforms. We are18 million strong and it’s time we let our voices be heard.

Actually, BO is only 1/16 Black African-American. Extensive research of his family shows his father was mostly Arabic, as evidenced by his fully Arabic name. While there is nothing wrong with BO being Arab-American, he is lying about his ethnicity to try to appeal to African-Americans by trying to convince them his father was entirely of the same Sub-Saharan ancestry they are to get there votes. What’s more is that his family in Kenya were slave traders in the nineteenth century. I think he knows that if the truth of his ethnicity and family were to come out, it would erode his support among the African-American community.

Guys, somthings else nobama is going to do if we do not stop him He is going to hurt a lot of people. Part of his supporters are Africans Americans that only heard him speak once or twice when he came to NC or SC etc. They are so busy trying to keep food on the table and gas in their cars to even watch the cable news. These people never even registered to vote until his team “got” them to. They really believe that if they get an African American president all of a sudden they will have medical coverage and the welfare system back. You and I know that if he get in the oval office they will be forgotten. Those of us who work in the medical field know how hard the fight is now to get any thing for people with out really good insurance let alone no insurance, it frightens me to think of what could happen with him in there.

Side-by-side comparisons are a good idea. However, we can’t wait until Denver. Not if we want superdelegates to reconsider and throw their support behind Hillary at the convention.

Besides, the DNC has already chosen their candidate. They’re no longer interested in comparisons between Hillary and Obama. That’s a done deal in their minds. Done. Gone. Over with.

I still believe that where we need to focus our energy now is in showing how weak Obama is against McCain. The only way we can turn this around for Hillary is if the DNC and superdelegates become convinced that Obama will lose in November. Then and only then will they rethink who they want as the nominee.

First step is to abolish the corrupt caucus system that lent it self to so much manipulation and intimidation to our democrat members. The primary system should resemble the same system we use in November to elect our leaders. Some legislation needs to be considered to look into the political coup the media layed on this nation!
We must make it a standing rule that a nominee is determined at the Democratic Convention and not be determined by the media.
This a great subject to open a forum and get as much input from all of our members to come out with a stronger and better party for all.

My Country comes BEFORE my party. I haven’t got the time nor the patience to wait for the Democratic Party to “heal.” My love for country WAY supersedes any feelings I have for party. I do not swear allegiance to the Democratic Party. I swear allegiance to AMERICA. Excuse me, sorry if I get a little hot under the collar here, but please don’t misquote John F. Kennedy in such a despicable way. JFK did not advocate doing what you can for your PARTY! He said “Ask not what your COUNTRY can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.” And what I can do for my country right now is make sure the Democratic Party never gets my vote again, unless and until it becomes a democratic party. I will not leave the presidential portion of the ballot blank. NOT A CHANCE. I will vote for McCain without the slightest reservations! I trust him. I respect him. I believe he has the best interests of the country (not his party, his COUNTRY) at heart. I can wait the months and years it will take the DNC to clean itself up, if indeed it doesn’t go extinct before that occurs….and then MAYBE I will take another look at it. Sometimes when things are rotten to the core, Phoenix, you have to throw them out. Not every story has a happy ending.

I agree that the caucus system should be abolished. But how? If I understand correctly, even the DNC doesn’t have a legal right to force states to change to a primary system. I think each state is legally entitled to choose the system it prefers.

I’m not sure that I agree with you regarding the nominee being determined at the convention. That would place the decision in the hands of delegates and superdelegates, effectively taking the vote away from voters. On the other hand, can we really rely on the popular vote? Nearly 18 million people fell for Obama’s BS.

Perhaps we need a different system altogether. But don’t ask me. I don’t understand politics enough to suggest something better.

CNN and other friends will not want to “start working” on HBO for a while. Information and constantly promoting it all will save us. Every letter in every article about him, every TV appearance, every newspaper article and magazine interview (we have to get to it ASAP) will bring us closer to getting rid of him. After many TV appearances, now is the time to get different newspapers and magazine to interview us, and get the word out about us. I’ll start to work on local newspapers in the morning.

Maybe. Honestly, I haven’t looked closely at their policies. Once I decided that I didn’t like Obama’s character, that became more important than any policy issues.

But I still keep pushing the idea of backing Obama into a corner where he has to agree to the joint town hall meetings with McCain. Obama is more than capable of showing his weaknesses against McCain if put in to the right position. I’d rather work smarter than harder. Let Obama self-destruct. Why should I have to do the work for him?

We respect your opinion that you feel confortable with McCain. What we must not allow is for one party to control the House and Senate together with the President position. The last eight years is proof that one party can not have an overwhelming control. If We have Democrat House and Senate with McCain as President, it is an acceptable combination.
Lets not accept defeat that is too negative, lets start reforming our Democratic Party.

( But we still are getting ahead of our selves. )

We have a battle to win in August and that is just around the corner. Join us is helping Hillary be nominated in August!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#440 Tucsonpuma on 06.25.08 at 4:34 am

I have to think on this some, but I do agree on the idea of pushing him into the town all meetings. I just have doubts that whomever operates his puppets strings will ever let him do it.

What city and state does Murphy live in? We should get to their local newspaper. I tried to do it here in CA. I called the office and they transfered me to the editor in chief. He told me to email the story to him. I didn’t and that’s why we didn’t get a very big exposure before the caucus to select the delegates to go to the convention. So, we need to call them, find out how to get a “press release” in the paper. We need to make sure that they have received it, and will print it. Talking to reporters is also very important. That should be our next project besides flooding DNC with emails, letters, etc.

No kidding. That’s why I keep harping on what it says if he doesn’t do it.

After all, how many times during the primary season did he say, “I welcome that debate with John McCain”? Oh yeah? Well, now John McCain keeps asking for debates, and Obama says no. That tells me he’s not a man of his word.

How many times has Obama insisted he’s a leader when it comes to reaching across the aisle? The dimwit can’t even reach across his campaign platform to one of the senators he’d have to work with as President. Again, he’s not a man of his word. And he’s not at all bipartisan.

These are the points we need to keep hammering home. If he doesn’t do the weekly debates, he’s a liar. If he does do them, he self-destructs. But we can’t let him off the hook.

Hey Everyone,

Murphy just put up a new post. See you upstairs.

BO would not have made it very far without the corrupt caucus system! The caucus system represents a small portion of the voters that are able to attend the meetings at night. It is true that a lot of people fell for BO’s BS but on the same token so did a lot of People fall for Bush BS. Both are not good examples of leaders!!!!

One thing both (BO & Bush) have in common: the Media pushed them on us. We the people need to ask our Legislators to look into the violations to our Democracy perpetrated by the Media. The Media was allowed to be very verbally abusive to Hillary our Democrat Senator. If some type of collusion took place then a special prosecutor must me named. We do not want Big Brother to be brain washing us and making our decisions !!!!!!

You’re preaching to the choir.

Let me know when you figure out how to correct these injustices. My friends and I have similar discussions. We can easily “solve the world’s problems” during our phone conversations. It just don’t translate to the rest of the world.

The whole election has been a joke, from the very beginning the dems were pushing *61 at us, I think Hillary recognized it way before us, yet, she still thought she could win.
I am African-American also, and Firebelle Puma, you are right Obama is barely black, he has gotten into the fold, passed himself off as A-A. If he should win heaven help us all.
Nancy Pelosi, is more of what is wrong with this country, we have allowed all of these dems. a free pass, now when it’s important to us to represent our views, we find them lacking.
I am ashamed that the A-A’s are for this clown, he has divided this country, it will take along time to heal the wounds, caused by this election. I have been for Hillary, and will always be here, no one tells me how to vote, and my vote is not for sale.
I will vote for McCain, this fall, I have never voted Republican, I don’t have to worry about his patriotism.

Thanls for the source(s) of the list. When you first posted the list, I thought you were serious, thne I thought that has to be a joke. Now I realize once again, that it’s serious.

I think the only words mr constitution man will end up allowing are I’mVotingForObama.

I posted this at Gretawire regarding her interview with Pelosi:

Greta,

Thank you for giving voice to many of us who are concerned about not only racism and sexism, but the sheer malice displayed by Senator Obama’s supporters during the DNC primary. Thank you for NOT ignoring your e-mails. Obviously, Nancy Pelosi is ignoring hers and that’s why some of us are viewing McCain as the lesser of two evils.

If the Democrats were truly concerned about universal health care, they would have supported its foremost champion, Senator Clinton. The Dems have proved to be just as corrupt and heedless as the Repubs.

The only good thing to come out of this campaign is the development of PUMAPac and other groups disgusted with politics as usual. We deserve better and we deserve to be heard. This “engineered” nomination was an important catalyst for voters who are demanding the clean-up of the very polluted political system in this country.

Interesting article from Elon College newspaper:
http://www.elon.edu/pendulum/Story.aspx?id=645

Love this quote:
“Just like most politicians in America, Obama will say and do anything it takes to get elected, true to the dirty politics of Chicago – where he rose to political power. And Chicago politics makes Washington politics look like a tennis match between old ladies.”

#457 ClintonRules on 06.25.08 at 7:55 pm

Does anyone have any idea how much we’ve raised for Hillary so far? (or a close estimate?)

#458 deenj on 06.25.08 at 11:09 pm

In case anyone missed it, CNN was showing clips of Obama answering questions from reporters. If you closed your eyes you would swear you were listening to Bush. There were so many errrsss in each answer, I had to turn the tv off and tell my husband to get his news somewhere else
AHHHH!!! If he’s elected, I won’t be able to take another 4 years of not being able to listen to the President speak when it’s not written down for him. I may have to sell my tv.

#459 alohapuma on 06.25.08 at 11:13 pm

#457 That would be good to know

I had to be off this evening for awhile and can not catch up on the posts. Early tomorrow.

The Debt.
The Debt.
The Debt.

Money talks in politics and if we can’t retire a 20 million dollar total when Obot has 100′s of millions at his disposal, then “they” aren’t going to take the coalition seriously.

Thanks Taffy for explaining the troll thing. I’m sure I’m not the only one who needs an education.

Goodnight all.
